- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time, y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them like theming buck bus things. And it's not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Steve to mother, don't joy. You gotta use that turn
- 1:02Speaker 1: out very arm. You gotta turn to turn about, turn
- 1:43Speaker 1: my love, got to turn out to turn turn the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water the water. Come come on your baby, huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: sure will. Good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, Oh,
- 2:07Speaker 1: come on, dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: Man got a radio show Boil boiled boy. I can't
- 2:16Speaker 1: even tell you, man um. I've been doing some thinking
- 2:20Speaker 1: and and one of the things that I wanted to
- 2:24Speaker 1: mention today to you as one of the principles of
- 2:27Speaker 1: success being grateful at all times. It's difficult to do.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Being grateful at all times. It's very difficult to do.
- 2:44Speaker 1: I find that to be true with myself. Now there
- 2:47Speaker 1: are others that might be able to do it, but
- 2:50Speaker 1: just just from talking and listening and and and living
- 2:53Speaker 1: and learning, being grateful at all times is difficult to do,
- 2:59Speaker 1: but it's necessary because it's it's such an act of
- 3:04Speaker 1: faith in knowing that no matter what's going on, it's
- 3:09Speaker 1: going to be all right. And it's hard to see
- 3:13Speaker 1: that when things are not going in your favor, when
- 3:17Speaker 1: things have turned so dramatically the other way, and it
- 3:22Speaker 1: seems as though you're the only one in the situation
- 3:26Speaker 1: where you're involved with other people, or someone got an
- 3:29Speaker 1: accusation against you falsely, or somebody trying to do something
- 3:32Speaker 1: to you unjustifiably, whatever the case may be. When it's
- 3:37Speaker 1: happening to you, it does appear to you that, oh,
- 3:41Speaker 1: my goodness, man, this is horribly one sided. So it
- 3:47Speaker 1: is difficult, it's hard to do to be grateful at
- 3:50Speaker 1: all times, but it's so necessary, and I just I
- 3:55Speaker 1: just want to point out a couple of things to you.
- 3:58Speaker 1: First of all, the difficulty in being grateful in hard
- 4:02Speaker 1: times is that number one, the present circumstances. Oftentimes it's
- 4:09Speaker 1: just so pressing and so overwhelming that a lot of
- 4:13Speaker 1: your energy is devoted to trying to come up with
- 4:16Speaker 1: the solution for that, or trying to muster the strength
- 4:20Speaker 1: to whether the storm, or trying to just brace yourself
- 4:23Speaker 1: to try to get through it, and in doing that,
- 4:27Speaker 1: you don't it's hard to be grateful. It's hard to
- 4:31Speaker 1: be grateful in pain, and I know it is. But
- 4:35Speaker 1: here is the trick for me. This is what I've
- 4:39Speaker 1: had to learn how to do, and I guess it
- 4:43Speaker 1: takes practice to get here. It's not nothing you can
- 4:46Speaker 1: just start doing right away. You got to practice it
- 4:48Speaker 1: in small increments to really get it. What I've always
- 4:51Speaker 1: had to say to myself and what I've learned to
- 4:54Speaker 1: say to myself is this is happening to me because
- 4:59Speaker 1: God is working me through something. This is happening to
- 5:03Speaker 1: me because there's some form of tests that I have
- 5:07Speaker 1: to pass in order to graduate to the next grade,
- 5:10Speaker 1: that in order to be allowed to move to the
- 5:13Speaker 1: next level. This is happening to me because there's something
- 5:18Speaker 1: I need to purge my life, of my body, of
- 5:22Speaker 1: my spirit, of something's purging in me. And when you
- 5:27Speaker 1: purge something, it's it's painful. You know, It's like a
- 5:30Speaker 1: person getting off drugs. The withdrawal is agonizing. I've been
- 5:36Speaker 1: told and every documentary I've ever watched it it's an
- 5:39Speaker 1: agonizing process to go cold turkey, to withdraw, to pull
- 5:45Speaker 1: away after you've been doing something so long. And so
- 5:49Speaker 1: I know that this process is tough when you're going
- 5:54Speaker 1: through some pain. But when you're purging your system, when
- 5:59Speaker 1: when you're having to pass a test, when you're about
- 6:03Speaker 1: to make when you're being made ready for the next level,
- 6:08Speaker 1: that moment right in there, in realizing that that's what's happening,
- 6:13Speaker 1: that's where you find the gratitude. That's where I found
- 6:16Speaker 1: the gratitude. I hope I'm explaining this correctly. I'm gonna
- 6:20Speaker 1: keep trying until I get it. But that's where you
- 6:22Speaker 1: find the gratitude. The second part of it is is
- 6:28Speaker 1: that God has never left me in all the things
- 6:33Speaker 1: I've done, in all the mistakes I've made, all the
- 6:37Speaker 1: lies I've told, all the situations I've gotten myself into,
- 6:42Speaker 1: from being greedy and wanting too much for me at
- 6:48Speaker 1: the expense sometimes of other people, not doing it deliberately
- 6:55Speaker 1: or in a vindictive way, because I've never had that spirit.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I'm not a vindict or a mean person, but sometimes
- 7:02Speaker 1: in my life, in wanting to do what I wanted
- 7:06Speaker 1: to do, I didn't totally weigh out the cause and
- 7:10Speaker 1: effect of the other person. I mean, can't just be
- 7:13Speaker 1: real with you with that. I mean, how many times
- 7:15Speaker 1: we hadn't all done that? Look, it doesn't don't make
- 7:18Speaker 1: you a bad person. You know, good people do bad
- 7:22Speaker 1: things all the time. I just happen to have come
- 7:26Speaker 1: to the realization that unknowingly and and not and not
- 7:32Speaker 1: with malice intent towards a person. I've heard people looking
- 7:39Speaker 1: at something I wanted to do without really looking at
- 7:44Speaker 1: what the cause and effect would be on the other person.
- 7:47Speaker 1: So in doing some of these things, I've created situations
- 7:51Speaker 1: for myself. But God, through his grace and mercy, has
- 7:55Speaker 1: allowed me to even get beyond that. So when I'm
- 7:59Speaker 1: saying at God has never left me in spite of myself,
- 8:02Speaker 1: He's always gotten me through. So that's the other part
- 8:06Speaker 1: of it too. See that no matter what you're going through,
- 8:10Speaker 1: you've got to understand that God has always gotten you
- 8:13Speaker 1: through it, now, hasn't it. Now that may not be
- 8:15Speaker 1: the way you want it or the way you liked,
- 8:17Speaker 1: but guess what, you can't do wrong and not pay
- 8:20Speaker 1: for that. Now that that's not how this works, That's
- 8:23Speaker 1: never going to be the case. But the great thing
- 8:26Speaker 1: about God is he fires warning shots at us all
- 8:29Speaker 1: the time. He gives us an opportunity to stop. You know,
- 8:32Speaker 1: He don't fully punish us right away every time we
- 8:35Speaker 1: do something wrong, now does it? You know eventually you're
- 8:39Speaker 1: going to get caught doing whatever it is you're doing.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You do understand that, don't you. But the first time,
- 8:45Speaker 1: that close call, that was a warning shot for you
- 8:48Speaker 1: to stop. Look, I know you're not perfect. I know
- 8:51Speaker 1: we all sent us down here, so I know you're
- 8:53Speaker 1: gonna make mistakes. One time. I know you was looking
- 8:56Speaker 1: at her when you wasn't supposed to. I know you
- 8:57Speaker 1: said something to him when you wasn't supposed to. I
- 9:01Speaker 1: know you got with her when you know you wasn't
- 9:03Speaker 1: supposed to. And I know you got with him when
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know you wasn't supposed to. So I'll tell you
- 9:07Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna fire warning shot and
- 9:10Speaker 1: maybe you'll slow your roll this time. But we keep
- 9:12Speaker 1: on though. See see see that's what happens. See we
- 9:15Speaker 1: just keep on and then the next thing, you know,
- 9:18Speaker 1: we get caught. Now, old Lord, have mercy, I won't
- 9:22Speaker 1: out of this. Yeah. Well see you didn't dug this
- 9:24Speaker 1: hole pretty deep, and he gonna get you out. But
- 9:27Speaker 1: there's some things that's got to go down now because
- 9:30Speaker 1: you didn't pay attention to the warning shot. See, had
- 9:33Speaker 1: you stopped the first time you felt bad about it
- 9:35Speaker 1: and said you wasn't gonna do it no more, the
- 9:37Speaker 1: situation wouldn't be as critical. But because we don't stop,
- 9:41Speaker 1: and we go again. But God always for gives, He
- 9:46Speaker 1: always allows us to get back up again. He always
- 9:51Speaker 1: gives us mercy. He always gives us his grace. He
- 9:55Speaker 1: always does that. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen. It is
- 10:04Speaker 1: time we have a special guest this morning. So let's
- 10:07Speaker 1: make the introductions clear. Shirley Strawberry, Hey, good morning, Steve Harvey.

- 11:56Speaker 1: How wells to go? I heard she's not going back
- 12:00Speaker 1: to the Buckingham Palace this fall. You must be kidding me?

- 12:34Speaker 1: Make that throne Leppard, Jabra robs things okay, yeah, and
- 12:41Speaker 1: I love hides on the wall. Things I'm bad natured.
- 12:43Speaker 1: All these old gabbed white people on the walls driving
- 12:47Speaker 1: me crazy, drinking tea. How do you feel about how
- 12:50Speaker 1: election that's going on in the next sixty down? Quite
- 12:53Speaker 1: a mine of crap. Hew, your leader thinks that it's
- 12:57Speaker 1: gonna be male frog Deculus's always been wonderful to vote.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Everyone's always wanted to go to America. Now you hit
- 13:06Speaker 1: no one wanting to go. Did you see hershel Walker
- 13:11Speaker 1: earle ab Ah I saw. I said to myself, Oh
- 13:18Speaker 1: my god, that's not on me. Gro We got it
- 13:28Speaker 1: out of here. We thank you so much for joining
- 13:30Speaker 1: us today. Cheering after his speech, I just wanted to
- 13:33Speaker 1: give him a sack back and pick a ball the
- 13:37Speaker 1: while you're at it. Coming up to thirty two minutes
- 13:40Speaker 1: after the hour, asked the Cello the Chief Love Officer.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steven Show. Time
- 13:49Speaker 1: now for Steve's favorite segment. It's called asked the Cello
- 13:53Speaker 1: the Cloth, which stands for Chief Love Officer. Steve Harvey,
- 13:57Speaker 1: are you ready, sir? Absolutely all right. This one's from
- 14:01Speaker 1: Charlotte in Dallas, Texas. Charlotte says, for the past four months,
- 14:05Speaker 1: I've been seeing a guy that lives an hour away
- 14:08Speaker 1: from me. We see each other twice a month. I've
- 14:11Speaker 1: been to his house and he's been to mine. He
- 14:13Speaker 1: claims to work a lot of hours as a dispatcher,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and when he's not working, he is resting. I've hinted
- 14:21Speaker 1: that I want to see him more because we are
- 14:23Speaker 1: only an hour apart. He says, there's just not enough
- 14:26Speaker 1: hours in the day. Is it too soon in our
- 14:28Speaker 1: relationship for me to expect more of an effort from him?
- 14:32Speaker 1: Or will a man prove he's interested from the jump, Clo,
- 14:37Speaker 1: listen to me an hour away and you really feeling
- 14:40Speaker 1: somebody that ain't nothing. It ain't that many hours in
- 14:43Speaker 1: a day. When a man won't something, it ain't enough.
- 14:45Speaker 1: It ain't no hours in a day. He can't fine,
- 14:48Speaker 1: and when he's not working, he's resting. He ain't that
- 14:50Speaker 1: damn time. Either you have met the laziest damn man
- 14:53Speaker 1: in the world, or at an hour it's just convenient
- 14:56Speaker 1: because he got another life. If y'all an hour away
- 14:59Speaker 1: and see each other twice a month, there's something wrong
- 15:01Speaker 1: right there, right there, it's just one damn hour. Damn.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I thought he was married, Clo. But then she says
- 15:09Speaker 1: she's been to his house and you know she'd been
- 15:12Speaker 1: to a house. Yeah, you've been to the apartment. You've
- 15:17Speaker 1: lived an hour away in the same city. If you city, Yeah, seriously,
- 15:22Speaker 1: if you're in Atlanta and you live for one inch
- 15:24Speaker 1: another and didn't take it out again, a life, for sure,
- 15:29Speaker 1: that's ridiculous. That's so ridiculous. All right. Marissa in Columbia,
- 15:34Speaker 1: South Carolina, says, I'm a twenty eight year old woman
- 15:37Speaker 1: dating a thirty two year old man that has a
- 15:39Speaker 1: best friend that he calls his little sister. She's my age.
- 15:44Speaker 1: Over the weekend, she was in town and he let
- 15:46Speaker 1: her stay at his house. I stayed over there too,
- 15:50Speaker 1: because I never trusted her. Saturday morning, she was walking
- 15:55Speaker 1: around the kitchen with a T shirt and panties on.
- 15:58Speaker 1: I told her she should put on some shorts or pants,
- 16:01Speaker 1: and my boyfriend said, it's no big deal. The girl
- 16:04Speaker 1: smirked at me and went to her room. My boyfriend
- 16:07Speaker 1: said he doesn't have any romantic feelings for her, so
- 16:11Speaker 1: it's no big deal. Should I trust him? Well, if
- 16:18Speaker 1: it's his little sister, I get it. But his best
- 16:21Speaker 1: friend little sister panties, T shirt Adina. How I don't
- 16:33Speaker 1: know what to tell you, lady, but that's you stayed
- 16:35Speaker 1: over there. It's weird, it's a little different relationship. Whatever
- 16:40Speaker 1: your intuition tells you, that's what you should go with.
- 16:42Speaker 1: That's all I can say. So. I don't know how
- 16:45Speaker 1: they could just be friends, but to walk around in
- 16:47Speaker 1: the panties and T shirt and you over there, Yeah,
- 16:51Speaker 1: come on, now does that No, she's trying to send
- 16:57Speaker 1: a message to you. Yeah, exactly. But she did the
- 17:00Speaker 1: right thing by telling her to put something on. I'm
- 17:03Speaker 1: not mad at her for that at all. Hey, hey, hey,
- 17:08Speaker 1: in words of Steve, you walk around here in your draws.
- 17:13Speaker 1: Oh no, oh no, ma'am. Oh no, I am, oh no, ma'am.
- 17:18Speaker 1: And then she smirked at her. That's the other thing.
- 17:21Speaker 1: I don't punch head. You don't smirk me. No, do hey, dog,
- 17:29Speaker 1: and explain some teeth. We're in my house and you would, dude,
- 17:32Speaker 1: you do something the line with me. Man, Please, I
- 17:35Speaker 1: ain't got nothing for you. Listen, don't come to my
- 17:38Speaker 1: house talking about political correctness or none of that. Not
- 17:40Speaker 1: at my house. I say what I want to say
- 17:43Speaker 1: around here. You get outline if you want to Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: it's my house and my rule for you. Yeah. So
- 17:51Speaker 1: to answer her question, should I trust him, you're saying
- 17:53Speaker 1: trust your own intuition, trust your It ain't him, it's her.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Do you trust him? And it's that's that's that's no answer.
- 18:07Speaker 1: That's that's why they say his segment all right, Heather Uh,
- 18:14Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, clo and Monroe. Louisiana says, I've been married
- 18:19Speaker 1: for seven years and I have one child. My husband
- 18:22Speaker 1: is a good dad, but not a good husband. In
- 18:26Speaker 1: the past seven years, I only get gifts and flowers
- 18:29Speaker 1: on my birthday or our anniversary. If I mentioned to
- 18:32Speaker 1: him that I don't feel loved, he tells me, I'm
- 18:35Speaker 1: fortunate to have a good man that's not out in
- 18:37Speaker 1: the streets. He doesn't know that men come at me
- 18:40Speaker 1: daily and want to spoil me. But I'm faithful to him.
- 18:44Speaker 1: It's not about sex. But I want a connection with
- 18:47Speaker 1: my husband. I don't want to cheat, So how can
- 18:50Speaker 1: I get his attention? Good one. See, I understand a
- 18:58Speaker 1: man saying, look, you know you got the flowers and
- 19:01Speaker 1: stuff on your birthday and the anniversary, but you want
- 19:03Speaker 1: to be spoiled in other ways. And I can understand that,
- 19:06Speaker 1: and you have every right to want that. I also
- 19:08Speaker 1: understand why the man say, hey, look, I don't know
- 19:10Speaker 1: what's the matter with you. I'm a good man, a
- 19:13Speaker 1: good husband. I come home, I ain't out in these streets.
- 19:16Speaker 1: I'm handling business. I got that. But the fact is
- 19:20Speaker 1: you want more and you should have more. So you're
- 19:23Speaker 1: gonna have to sit your man down. This cannot be
- 19:26Speaker 1: done in anger. You're gonna have to have a real
- 19:28Speaker 1: conversation said, honey, this is what I think can make
- 19:31Speaker 1: us have a better relationship. I could be more tolerant
- 19:35Speaker 1: of this if you were this, and I would love
- 19:38Speaker 1: to know if there's anything about me I can change
- 19:40Speaker 1: to make you feel better. And you got to have
- 19:42Speaker 1: a conversation while you're calm. You think you're listening though,
- 19:46Speaker 1: because she feel loved and he said you ought to
- 19:51Speaker 1: be glad you got a good man industry. And that's
- 19:55Speaker 1: the atypical response until you push a little bit harder.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You got to push a little bit harder, Charter. She
- 20:00Speaker 1: wants intimacy with her husband. Yeah, what you say, you
- 20:07Speaker 1: won't love you won't eat lights on in the pandemic one.
- 20:15Speaker 1: They've been married seven years, seven years, Steve, they have
- 20:18Speaker 1: one child. Yeah, all right, all right, she just gotta
- 20:24Speaker 1: push harder, Steve. Yeah, you're saying push harder and do
- 20:27Speaker 1: it now. I mean you don't. Look, you gotta you
- 20:29Speaker 1: gotta have a conversation. It's the only way to do it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You gotta bridge the conversation. You know, you bring it up.
- 20:34Speaker 1: He told you that you would only set outsold Yeah,
- 20:38Speaker 1: all right, okay, all right, Well, thank you, Cello as
- 20:41Speaker 1: always for you wisdom. Now coming up next, the nephew
- 20:45Speaker 1: is here to run that prank back right after this
- 20:49Speaker 1: You're listening show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 20:54Speaker 1: Miss Anne will be here with our national news for today.
- 20:57Speaker 1: She'll give us the latest on the Hurricane Laura and
- 21:01Speaker 1: a recap of the r n C in Charlotte, plus
- 21:05Speaker 1: an entertainment news. Pastors are in troub ball. Pastor John
- 21:10Speaker 1: Gray has gotten caught in another alleged entanglement. No right,
- 21:17Speaker 1: and we'll tell you um about Pastor Jerry Folwell Junior's
- 21:21Speaker 1: resignation from Liberty University in Virginia. We'll talk about all
- 21:24Speaker 1: these stories at the top of the hour, But right now,
- 21:27Speaker 1: the nephew is in the building with run that prank back?
- 21:30Speaker 1: What you got for his next lunchtime date? Lunchtime date?
- 21:37Speaker 1: Let's go cat diggity. Hello, Hey, I'm trying to speak
- 21:42Speaker 1: to uh steak to Alan. It is Alan. Who's this? Hey? Alan? Yo?
- 21:46Speaker 1: This Derek Man. Check us out. Bro. You are Rachel's
- 21:49Speaker 1: Rachel's husband, right, yeah, yeah, that's all baby's summer. No no, no,
- 21:52Speaker 1: no, no no no no. I work like I said this, Derek. Now,
- 21:55Speaker 1: I work with your wife, Rachel, right you you you
- 21:57Speaker 1: are supervisor or something. I mean, you just work something.
- 22:00Speaker 1: I mean she's doing a good job and everything she
- 22:02Speaker 1: ain't better. Oh no, no no, no, everything is straight, man,
- 22:04Speaker 1: Ain't nothing wrong with the job. Everything's cool as the job.
- 22:06Speaker 1: This this right here, man is like what I know
- 22:09Speaker 1: this man? And it's you know, it just seems like
- 22:11Speaker 1: every single day, you know, while she's on her lunch break,
- 22:15Speaker 1: it seems like, you know, you would call and and
- 22:18Speaker 1: and uh and then blocked up the whole hour of
- 22:21Speaker 1: her lunch break. And actually, you know, just be real, man,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I'm just trying to come correct with you. It just
- 22:25Speaker 1: seemed like you just cut in on all the time
- 22:27Speaker 1: that I have that I had with her. Whoa whoa
- 22:31Speaker 1: hold hold up, Hold up, hold up, Broadway. You what
- 22:34Speaker 1: the are you doing at lunch with my lady sons?
- 22:38Speaker 1: Like I said, you know, we just we just spending time,
- 22:40Speaker 1: you know, doing lunch time. But it just seems so rude.
- 22:43Speaker 1: You know that rude, rue, rude you you Okay? First
- 22:46Speaker 1: of all, that's my lady, Okay, I can call her
- 22:48Speaker 1: whenever the I feel like calling. That that's what I
- 22:50Speaker 1: pay for them phone deal. I bought that iPhone I
- 22:53Speaker 1: could get calling whenever please. All right. Secondly, you ain't
- 22:57Speaker 1: got no business being with a merry woman alone at lunch.
- 23:01Speaker 1: It ain't no date. You're supposed to be at work. No,
- 23:04Speaker 1: we are at work. We call like I say, we
- 23:05Speaker 1: call workers. You know, it seemed like half the whole
- 23:08Speaker 1: time I'm sitting in front of hub. You know, we're
- 23:11Speaker 1: supposed to be having lunch together, and she talking to
- 23:13Speaker 1: you the whole Uh okay, but what what's your name? Be?
- 23:15Speaker 1: Getting name? Derek? Derek? All right? Derek? You work at
- 23:17Speaker 1: the same building up because you you would work right now?
- 23:19Speaker 1: Huh yeah, I mean yeah, I'm mean at the job
- 23:21Speaker 1: and y'all work in the same flow because I can
- 23:22Speaker 1: find to come and see you you kames about to
- 23:24Speaker 1: jump off way way different for you straight up. Okay,
- 23:28Speaker 1: So let me ask you something, man, What is a
- 23:30Speaker 1: big deal? Understand? Okay, you look like you don't see her.
- 23:33Speaker 1: You look like you don't see her when she gets home,
- 23:36Speaker 1: you know. So why is it so important that you
- 23:38Speaker 1: waste a whole hour of lushine holding up an you
- 23:42Speaker 1: wasted anyway? We smuth, I'm talking to my lady. Okay,
- 23:44Speaker 1: you understand that. Why don't you go out and get
- 23:47Speaker 1: and then you ain't got to worry about sitting up
- 23:49Speaker 1: in front of my lady. That's my wife. I walked
- 23:52Speaker 1: down the hour with that. We got kids, we got
- 23:55Speaker 1: a house, We take care that. He helped me hold
- 23:57Speaker 1: it down. And you you you ain't you know it's
- 24:02Speaker 1: like you you don't ever want to come in and
- 24:04Speaker 1: do but they got always want to come into somebody
- 24:08Speaker 1: else's wife. And why why why don't you do this?
- 24:10Speaker 1: Take take this advice and see what it works. Have
- 24:13Speaker 1: it works for you? Go to club, church, library, grocery, stole, whatever,
- 24:18Speaker 1: the find your j and you get you a chick.
- 24:22Speaker 1: You gave her for a minute, you call her for
- 24:25Speaker 1: a minute. You wrote man stuff for a man that's
- 24:27Speaker 1: what real men. Do. You know what I'm saying. That's
- 24:29Speaker 1: what I did. That's how I got my Rachel, That's
- 24:32Speaker 1: that's my heart. You're trying to sit up there in
- 24:34Speaker 1: front of lunch with us every day for the past year.
- 24:39Speaker 1: I'll tell you what, bro, it may not be today,
- 24:42Speaker 1: it may man be the marrow, but soon soon you're
- 24:44Speaker 1: gonna see me me. You're gonna have none of this
- 24:46Speaker 1: phone conversation. It's gonna be a face to face. Through
- 24:50Speaker 1: all I'm saying, man, I ain't trying to come between
- 24:53Speaker 1: y'all at all. All I'm done, Okay, like I'm saying,
- 24:57Speaker 1: I'm not trying to come between y'all. I'm just saying,
- 24:59Speaker 1: it's every day you call it, man, What do you

- 25:19Speaker 1: pay the bills, everything, the family, the kidsen, fixing the
- 25:23Speaker 1: yards and fences, and you don't know nothing about that
- 25:26Speaker 1: all you know about it. You know roast wife can't
- 25:29Speaker 1: even go to work without like you trying to step

- 25:47Speaker 1: me and I'm gonna see you, and I can't. Would
- 25:50Speaker 1: what's what's your son? Herd mean school? I would come
- 25:54Speaker 1: see yo by tomorrow, son. I mean you Derek. That's
- 25:57Speaker 1: your name, right, Derek. I'm running me. My name is there? Yeah,
- 26:02Speaker 1: you don't. I always want to people smiling facing my
- 26:05Speaker 1: wife's face. I'm gonna do Rachel when I see it,
- 26:08Speaker 1: he can Please believe that. Please believe that. Talked to
- 26:11Speaker 1: about a little friend at lunch and like the hell
- 26:13Speaker 1: hell getting my nub anyway, I got shill know how
- 26:16Speaker 1: to Rachel phone. But that's besides the moll my first song, John,
- 26:21Speaker 1: ain't that cool? I don't. I ain't never heard of
- 26:23Speaker 1: no dance before the day and what's sudden you calling
- 26:25Speaker 1: me talking about you was at lunch every day with
- 26:27Speaker 1: wife and you know it's a friendly lunch date. Just
- 26:32Speaker 1: word it is. I don't know how you just do friendly?
- 26:35Speaker 1: I know about all that. You ain't fulling me. You
- 26:38Speaker 1: got know like you who prey on Mary women all
- 26:42Speaker 1: the time because they like you. But that, like I said,
- 26:46Speaker 1: it's gonna change from issue. Okay, Doug, here's here's what
- 26:49Speaker 1: you don't know. What you don't know is is Temmy
- 26:51Speaker 1: Tommy be pushing off on the more than me. Tommy
- 26:57Speaker 1: Tommy is always pushing up on her. Tommy one you
- 27:00Speaker 1: need to be worried about. You have Tommy? Who me?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Who the Tommy dog dog do nephew Tommy? Man, check
- 27:08Speaker 1: this out. This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harvey
- 27:11Speaker 1: Morning Show. Your wife Rachel got me the prank phone
- 27:15Speaker 1: call you. He believe y'all? Did this mean? Man? May
- 27:25Speaker 1: I should have come down to you a man? Man
- 27:31Speaker 1: I am now, I was gonna who well you know,
- 27:34Speaker 1: and I think I'm burn that building down. You don't
- 27:36Speaker 1: even know her, Tommy. Is this my prediction? Somebody gonna

- 27:45Speaker 1: y'all trip it hey, man, check it out. You gotta

- 27:58Speaker 1: about college? That much time? So much lunch with your wife?
- 28:05Speaker 1: We can't. I'm sitting there watching her on the phone
- 28:08Speaker 1: with you. What do you want? So she wors he
- 28:12Speaker 1: wors worsome. What did you need to talk about? You
- 28:19Speaker 1: got on her and they, oh, we can't have a lunch.
- 28:24Speaker 1: Color you come, what do you want? Can't even have
- 28:27Speaker 1: a meal? In peace? Though? In peace, all in the
- 28:33Speaker 1: middle of my Caesar salad. Here you because sounds good
- 28:41Speaker 1: salad in a long time, go through the mind, give
- 28:44Speaker 1: my salad. Sit on with her? Here you come calling,
- 28:49Speaker 1: But you were gonna get it though? All right, well,
- 28:52Speaker 1: thank you as always have you Coming up at the
- 28:55Speaker 1: top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment and national
- 28:57Speaker 1: news for you right after this. You're listening, she's a
- 29:00Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well in today's entertainment news, Wow,
- 29:07Speaker 1: Pastor John Gray was exposed for cheating on his wife
- 29:11Speaker 1: last year. We all remember that. Now it seems like
- 29:14Speaker 1: he's allegedly gotten caught in another entanglement. Pastor Gray's in
- 29:18Speaker 1: South Carolina, of course. Now this is according to the
- 29:22Speaker 1: Shade Room on Instagram, his new alleged side. She shared
- 29:27Speaker 1: a series of FaceTime videos that were posted by a vlogger. Now.
- 29:31Speaker 1: In one of the clips, Pastor Gray appears to be
- 29:34Speaker 1: boarding a private plane to Cabo with his mistress. He
- 29:37Speaker 1: allegedly told her just to bring a face mask and
- 29:41Speaker 1: a bikini for a bacation. Were for seeding. We need
- 29:54Speaker 1: to objectionize at decent moment, do you hear me? I
- 30:00Speaker 1: am with you all the way path to bring on.
- 30:02Speaker 1: It is time to preach a sermon that needs to
- 30:09Speaker 1: be preached. Yeah, h Tyler. The sermon is you can't cheat.
- 30:17Speaker 1: If cheating ain't hood you do? Are you gonna have
- 30:26Speaker 1: to gather for yourself? That's right, Research Google if you will,
- 30:33Speaker 1: that's right. But you got to talk to some players
- 30:37Speaker 1: out here, that's right, that know they're way around these
- 30:42Speaker 1: types of situation. What you're doing. You're getting caught way
- 30:45Speaker 1: too off, over and over and over again. Oh, the
- 30:53Speaker 1: new frangle prayers fall will sitting in a cone and
- 30:58Speaker 1: watch it. Another man do his wife? Look at what
- 31:07Speaker 1: I say? What in the hell is going on? You
- 31:12Speaker 1: gotten yourself in a position bowl a private jet. I
- 31:21Speaker 1: didn't know he was making that kind of many fans.
- 31:23Speaker 1: I don't know who jet that heat. I don't know
- 31:28Speaker 1: who posted the photo. But you don't understand how the
- 31:34Speaker 1: game is played. Now, you don't bring your son into it,
- 31:40Speaker 1: but he did. But he did. Why is your boy
- 31:43Speaker 1: talking on the damn video? They tied a pizza path
- 31:47Speaker 1: and that's what you eat? What the hell we saved?
- 31:52Speaker 1: You tied the pizza your ass and here cook some
- 31:56Speaker 1: men Fallwell, yeah, cherry boy, come on now a liberty university.
- 32:08Speaker 1: I feel at liberty to say something. You need to
- 32:14Speaker 1: quit taking pictures with your pain sons zipped her pain
- 32:19Speaker 1: sons zip light like y'all funny. You ain't wanted to
- 32:24Speaker 1: reginal Cage of comedy. You don't know what funny is.
- 32:28Speaker 1: But I tell you one thing. They put your hands
- 32:31Speaker 1: out to church. Now you can say you resigned with
- 32:35Speaker 1: the boy the white folks and put your hands out here.
- 32:41Speaker 1: All right. Let me introduce her to some and just
- 32:48Speaker 1: say hi to others, ladies and gentlemen. My personal favorite
- 32:54Speaker 1: news cast ill oil the Finello apple Oma missing yea trial, Yes,
- 33:10Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, Steve. This is a troop of
- 33:13Speaker 1: the news. How am I supposed to be serious behind that?
- 33:15Speaker 1: Good morning everybody, okay. Forecasters say that Hurricane Laura is
- 33:19Speaker 1: making its way towards Louisiana, Texas coast, now that it
- 33:22Speaker 1: should make landfall as a powerful Category three hurricane sometime
- 33:25Speaker 1: this evening or early tomorrow. About half a million people
- 33:28Speaker 1: have been urged to evacuate. However, this contractor tells the
- 33:31Speaker 1: local TV station he's staying put. I've been through two evacuations.
- 33:34Speaker 1: One went real well. One I was in my truck
- 33:38Speaker 1: twenty four hours, ended up having a turnaround come back
- 33:40Speaker 1: to Lake City. So yeah, I'm not gonna do that again.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I mean, just being my dog. So we'll be all right.
- 33:47Speaker 1: At least two dozen deaths so farther or being blamed
- 33:49Speaker 1: on Laura in Haiti and in the Dominican Republic. In Wisconsin,
- 33:52Speaker 1: the family of the unarmed black Kenosha man shot in
- 33:55Speaker 1: the back by a white cop says they intend to
- 33:57Speaker 1: file a civil lawsuit. Twenty nine year old Jacob Blake's father,
- 34:01Speaker 1: Jacob Blake Senior, says his son was shot seven times
- 34:04Speaker 1: by police responding to a domestic incident. He said he
- 34:07Speaker 1: was trying to break up a fight between two women
- 34:09Speaker 1: his son was. He says his son was treated as
- 34:11Speaker 1: if his existence, though meant nothing in any case. Jacob
- 34:14Speaker 1: Blake Junior is listed in stable condition at a Milwaukee
- 34:17Speaker 1: hospital and its paralyzed from the waist down. Although the
- 34:20Speaker 1: condition may not be permanent. However, the family is suing
- 34:23Speaker 1: to get enough money for his doctor bills and to
- 34:25Speaker 1: help raise his three children. There have been nightly protests,
- 34:27Speaker 1: the National Guards being sent into Kenosha and joined by
- 34:30Speaker 1: cops from surrounding jurisdictions. A last night, three people were
- 34:34Speaker 1: shot to fatally by three men who claimed to be
- 34:37Speaker 1: protecting their property, but nobody knows who they were. President
- 34:40Speaker 1: Trump's family took center stage at last night's speeches and
- 34:44Speaker 1: presentations at the GOP convention, and the theme last night
- 34:48Speaker 1: was a land of opportunity. Two of Trump's children, Eric
- 34:51Speaker 1: and Tiffany, delivered basically political remarks, but headline the evening
- 34:55Speaker 1: was First Lady Milani A Trump, who said, well, she
- 34:58Speaker 1: was the only one to mention what were all be
- 35:00Speaker 1: through Our lives have changed drastically. The invisible enemy COVID
- 35:05Speaker 1: nineteen impacted all of us. My deepest sympathy goes out
- 35:11Speaker 1: to everyone who has lost a loved one, and my
- 35:15Speaker 1: prayers are widows who are ill or suffering. I know
- 35:20Speaker 1: many people are anxious and some feel helpless. I want
- 35:24Speaker 1: you to know you're not alone. Most people liked her speech,
- 35:28Speaker 1: missus Trump spoke at last Republican contact. However, her speech,
- 35:31Speaker 1: you may remember, was overshadowed by the embarrassing revelation that
- 35:35Speaker 1: her speech writer lifted parts of it, several parts of
- 35:37Speaker 1: it from a speech by the previous First Lady, Michelle Obama.
- 35:41Speaker 1: And finally, today is the day we beat the clock.
- 35:46Speaker 1: If we can, Okay, get to work, if you can.
- 35:48Speaker 1: Now back to Steve Harvey Morning show you're listening to show.
- 35:53Speaker 1: Patience is running thin in Louisville as we fight for
- 35:57Speaker 1: justice for Brianna Taylor. Active and families of Trayvon Martin,
- 36:01Speaker 1: Michael Brown, and George Floyd were all in attendance at
- 36:05Speaker 1: the Brian Con. That's what they're calling it, Brianna Coon Event.
- 36:09Speaker 1: This is a four day event. It's filled with just
- 36:13Speaker 1: things to uplift the Louisville community while fighting for justice
- 36:17Speaker 1: for Brianna Taylor. Good trouble is on the way, in
- 36:20Speaker 1: the words of the late Congressman John Lewis, because yesterday
- 36:25Speaker 1: more than sixty four protesters were arrested as they sat
- 36:28Speaker 1: on an overpass. Because it has been more than one
- 36:32Speaker 1: hundred and sixty days since Brianna Taylor, and MTE and
- 36:37Speaker 1: inspiring nurse was killed in her own home as three
- 36:42Speaker 1: playing clothes Louisville police officers shot and killed her doing
- 36:45Speaker 1: a botched no knock warrant raid. Yeah. Last night, Kentucky
- 36:50Speaker 1: Attorney General Daniel Cameron spoke at the Republican National Convention. Okay,
- 36:55Speaker 1: you're doing all of this which you can't set a
- 36:57Speaker 1: timeline for this investigation. I mean really well, I mean
- 37:03Speaker 1: so long. The timeline is always to get the story,
- 37:07Speaker 1: trade straight, try to minimize the damage. That's all this is.
- 37:11Speaker 1: There's nothing else to see. Five months one hundred to
- 37:16Speaker 1: sixty days is five months. Absolutely absolutely, it don't take
- 37:20Speaker 1: this long to do nothing. Nothing, nothing, nothing, nothing. Five
- 37:27Speaker 1: months we've been trying to get the story what happened
- 37:30Speaker 1: to Brianna Taylor and and and he won't even set
- 37:35Speaker 1: Let me tell you something. You can become a police
- 37:39Speaker 1: officer faster they can faster than they can close an
- 37:43Speaker 1: investigation on each other. Yeah, you can go to the
- 37:47Speaker 1: police academy, complete the train and go to the school
- 37:49Speaker 1: had a graduation, get your gun before they do a
- 37:53Speaker 1: finish your police investigation. You can be a damn cop. Yeah,
- 37:57Speaker 1: you can get a badge and a license to kill
- 38:00Speaker 1: people before they do an investigation on you. You just
- 38:03Speaker 1: see the elderly people that went to the Attorney General's
- 38:07Speaker 1: home in Kentucky. They were older white people. They peacefully protested.
- 38:15Speaker 1: Did you see them arresting them? But you can arrest
- 38:17Speaker 1: them immediately, right, you can arrest them, but you can't
- 38:21Speaker 1: arrest it and do an investigation on the people that
- 38:24Speaker 1: killed Brianna Tyler. Right, the law is not on our
- 38:29Speaker 1: side when it comes to things. It's just not what
- 38:31Speaker 1: I used to think was just a few bad police officers.
- 38:36Speaker 1: I have now changed. It is a lot more bad
- 38:40Speaker 1: police officers than we thought because it keeps happening far
- 38:43Speaker 1: too frequently. It's just more than we thought. Yeah, all right,
- 38:49Speaker 1: coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, we're
- 38:51Speaker 1: going to keep fighting for justice. We'll tell you more
- 38:54Speaker 1: about Jacob Blake, who was shot, of course, in Kenosha, Wisconsin,
- 38:58Speaker 1: Sunday night. We'll talk about that right after this. You're
- 39:01Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. The police shooting
- 39:06Speaker 1: of Jacob Blake, that twenty nine year old black man
- 39:09Speaker 1: who was shot multiple times, has sparked more protesting in
- 39:12Speaker 1: Wisconsin and other areas around the country. We all saw
- 39:16Speaker 1: the graphic video on social media of Blake walking toward
- 39:19Speaker 1: his car and officers following him with their guns drawn.
- 39:24Speaker 1: Jacob was shot seven times while his children were in
- 39:29Speaker 1: the car. Jacob's father said they shot his son like
- 39:32Speaker 1: he didn't matter, and he is paralyzed now from the
- 39:36Speaker 1: waist down. Jacob's mother, Julia Jackson, said at a press
- 39:40Speaker 1: conference yesterday that we need to examine our hearts and
- 39:44Speaker 1: we need healing. Take a listen a moment and examine
- 39:49Speaker 1: your hearts, citizens, police officers, fireman, clergy, politicians, Jill Jacob,
- 40:00Speaker 1: justice on this level, and examine your heart. We need healing.
- 40:09Speaker 1: As I pray for my son, healing physically, emotionally and spiritually.
- 40:16Speaker 1: I also have been praying even before this, for the
- 40:21Speaker 1: healing of our countries. God has played each into every
- 40:26Speaker 1: one of this us in this country because he wanted
- 40:30Speaker 1: us to be here. Wow, that's you know what the
- 40:34Speaker 1: strength of this woman in this time and the grace
- 40:41Speaker 1: of her to still want to pray for people and
- 40:45Speaker 1: ask people to examine their hearts. And that's all Black
- 40:48Speaker 1: people say. Listen, examine your heart to see if you
- 40:53Speaker 1: would feel that any of this treatment will was right
- 40:55Speaker 1: for you, if you can honestly say in your heart
- 40:58Speaker 1: that you think this is what has happened to us,
- 41:02Speaker 1: and it would be okay if the same thing were
- 41:04Speaker 1: happening to you, were cool with that. But you can't
- 41:08Speaker 1: examine your heart and come to that conclusion. Frederick Douglas said,
- 41:13Speaker 1: that is not a man alive today that would think
- 41:16Speaker 1: slavery is right for him. No one. How can you
- 41:21Speaker 1: expect black people, people of color to feel any other
- 41:26Speaker 1: way than they feel? And then rioting is the language
- 41:31Speaker 1: of the oppressed. When you take people, you see them
- 41:35Speaker 1: throwing rocks back because they ain't got nothing else to do,
- 41:38Speaker 1: they have nowhere else to take it. Y'all not listening.
- 41:42Speaker 1: We've been protesting Black lives matter, and then you turn
- 41:45Speaker 1: around in Wisconsin and you do it again. You prove
- 41:49Speaker 1: to us that down police officers that don't give a
- 41:51Speaker 1: damn about black lives. It's just been three months since
- 41:55Speaker 1: George Floyd Steve it's because they don't care about black lives,
- 42:00Speaker 1: and it's becoming more and more obvious to me. And
- 42:03Speaker 1: it has nothing to do with just a few police officers.
- 42:06Speaker 1: It's a bunch of them now dug on it. Because
- 42:09Speaker 1: if it was just a few, it would only happen
- 42:11Speaker 1: a few times. It happened all the damn time, all
- 42:14Speaker 1: over this country. And that's the anger that black people
- 42:18Speaker 1: are feeling. We're sick of it. We sick and tired
- 42:22Speaker 1: of it. We appreciate the health, but damn, what is
- 42:26Speaker 1: the help gonna be? Where are we gonna get some
- 42:29Speaker 1: legislation and protect in place that protects a person's life
- 42:34Speaker 1: from a person who has a badge, who has been
- 42:37Speaker 1: given full permission to be the judge and jury and
- 42:41Speaker 1: decide whether man lives or dies today. Because you're a
- 42:44Speaker 1: police officer with twenty two years, twenty two weeks of
- 42:47Speaker 1: training does not qualify you to determine if we live
- 42:50Speaker 1: or die. And why do people always got to live
- 42:52Speaker 1: and die some black person somewhere. Man get out of here,
- 42:56Speaker 1: and then Trump come out with that old bogus stuff.
- 42:59Speaker 1: As many white people get killed by the police, is
- 43:01Speaker 1: black not unarmed and doing nothing? If you want to
- 43:05Speaker 1: shootout with the police, I got it. You got whatever
- 43:07Speaker 1: coming if you find shot that the police officer, I
- 43:10Speaker 1: understand that. I'm talking about getting choked out, getting me
- 43:16Speaker 1: to death, walking away in the back at a traffic stop.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Haul off and take this man's life. Got your music
- 43:23Speaker 1: up too loud. I thought you had a seal phone.
- 43:26Speaker 1: He wouldn't identify. I said, halt, who the hell is you? Man?
- 43:31Speaker 1: Selling cigarettes and nothing? That's why we die officers, That's
- 43:35Speaker 1: why they keep doing it, and the same reasons we
- 43:39Speaker 1: die ain't the reasons that the whites is dying. Right.
- 43:43Speaker 1: Family attorney Benjamin Crump said it's a miracle that Jacob
- 43:46Speaker 1: Blake is still alive. The Justice Department and the FBI
- 43:49Speaker 1: are investigating the case. We're gonna switch gears coming up,
- 43:53Speaker 1: and nephew Tommy is gonna make us laugh with today's
- 43:56Speaker 1: prank phone call. Right after this, You're listening morning show
- 44:02Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:05Speaker 1: four minutes after it's my strawberry letter for today. This
- 44:08Speaker 1: subject is I can't find a man in real life
- 44:11Speaker 1: or online. But right now the nephew is here with
- 44:15Speaker 1: today's frank phone call. What you got for his neff? Well,
- 44:19Speaker 1: it's time to save a few souls. Sherley mobile Baptismo.
- 44:26Speaker 1: Oh Lord, mobile baptismo. There are some souls that need
- 44:33Speaker 1: to be saved, Pastor Gray, I got Dialson, don't worry
- 44:36Speaker 1: about its tight. I got this mobile baptismal. We've got
- 44:41Speaker 1: too much going on. Let me handle this train. Now
- 44:43Speaker 1: here we go. Come on, kay, Hello, Hello, I'm trying
- 44:47Speaker 1: to reach a mister Wilson. How are you doing? My
- 44:51Speaker 1: name is brother spring water Man. Listen. We uh we
- 44:54Speaker 1: we got paid to actually come by and do some
- 44:57Speaker 1: services to you for you you by some friends of yours,
- 45:02Speaker 1: and we wanted to actually call and see about scheduling
- 45:04Speaker 1: and see what you had available, uh, some some services. Well,
- 45:09Speaker 1: y'all playing on Clesson gradu, which I do? What kind
- 45:13Speaker 1: of services you had? Actually, sir, you've got some friends
- 45:17Speaker 1: that have actually spent a great amount of money on you.
- 45:19Speaker 1: And what we do is um we have a baptismal
- 45:23Speaker 1: owned wheels servant. And what we do is we go
- 45:26Speaker 1: and we um we baptize people at their home and
- 45:31Speaker 1: Baptismal Wheels has been it's a new um company. But
- 45:34Speaker 1: we've we've baptized over a thousand people. Now we have
- 45:37Speaker 1: a truck with it which actually has a baptismal pool
- 45:41Speaker 1: on the back of it, and we actually come to
- 45:43Speaker 1: your home and we will baptize you in your driveway
- 45:47Speaker 1: and and make you hold again. So weple hostess here,
- 45:52Speaker 1: brother water, brother again, I'm sorry, Springwater, Springwater, what you
- 45:57Speaker 1: wanted to come to my house and give me a
- 45:58Speaker 1: baptism in? My friend y'all, we want to baptize you
- 46:02Speaker 1: right there in your drive where your friends are paid
- 46:04Speaker 1: for the services. And my friend, what a friend will
- 46:06Speaker 1: pay for me to get baptized. Man, I've been baptized,
- 46:09Speaker 1: are already doc well from my understanding, sir that but
- 46:12Speaker 1: then that you you've had some some bumps and bruises
- 46:15Speaker 1: and and and they seem to uh to believe that
- 46:17Speaker 1: you need to be Washington coming in. I mean that's
- 46:20Speaker 1: all good, that's all. That's all. It's all good. But
- 46:22Speaker 1: I mean things are I mean think that matter that
- 46:25Speaker 1: it made? Man? I mean, I've been baptized. I go
- 46:27Speaker 1: to church, you know, uh me and the Lord don't
- 46:29Speaker 1: have no problems. I mean, we all have setbacks. But
- 46:32Speaker 1: for you to pull up with your pool in front
- 46:35Speaker 1: of my house to say you've been a baptize me
- 46:37Speaker 1: that that doesn't make any sense to me. Doc I
- 46:39Speaker 1: mean seeds. Sometimes when some people are not able to
- 46:42Speaker 1: go to the House of the Lord and get baptized.
- 46:45Speaker 1: You know, we're making a lot more convenient for you,
- 46:48Speaker 1: but we can actually need no convenance. I don't need
- 46:51Speaker 1: no convenience. What I need convenience for you asking me
- 46:55Speaker 1: to come to my house on a Tuesday to baptize
- 46:59Speaker 1: me in my driveway? Does that make any sense to you?
- 47:03Speaker 1: Brother water? I mean, come on, if you really sit
- 47:05Speaker 1: back and think about it, does that make any sense
- 47:07Speaker 1: to you? Further? First of all, so that that's that's
- 47:12Speaker 1: brothers spring water. But what I'm trying to what I'm
- 47:14Speaker 1: trying to see the water is holy water, spring water.
- 47:18Speaker 1: It doesn't make no difference to me. You can't come
- 47:21Speaker 1: to my neighborhood and baptize me in front of my home.
- 47:25Speaker 1: So what is all that this is? This is what
- 47:28Speaker 1: your friends are talking about that don't give it? There
- 47:30Speaker 1: wasn't My prayers are telling you man and anybody which
- 47:33Speaker 1: which one of my prayers don't recommend you to come
- 47:35Speaker 1: to my damn out. So I'm I'm and I don't
- 47:40Speaker 1: let make that. You don't even make any sense to me.
- 47:42Speaker 1: You understand that I'm not I'm not at any liberty
- 47:44Speaker 1: to tell you who actually, uh, I'm being the liberty
- 47:48Speaker 1: to come to my dam house that baptize me. But
- 47:50Speaker 1: you can't tell me who the hell I gonna see you?
- 47:53Speaker 1: But you're not there? What make come on? You don't
- 47:55Speaker 1: even come on? Does that makes sense for you? Come on?
- 47:58Speaker 1: That doesn't make any no way any world. I'm gonna
- 48:00Speaker 1: allow you to come and bring your phone in front
- 48:02Speaker 1: of my house and baptize me. Then I'm asking you
- 48:05Speaker 1: ask and you you supposed to be a pastor, you
- 48:07Speaker 1: supposed to get baptized, and I'm asking you, okay, what's
- 48:10Speaker 1: a friend of mine is sending you to you know,
- 48:12Speaker 1: letting you know I need be done. You'll tell you
- 48:14Speaker 1: how that liberty, sir? All I wanted to know. Basically,
- 48:17Speaker 1: I've already been paid. I'm coming to a chach. I'm
- 48:23Speaker 1: baptizing me. Im backtip. I'm going to baptize you on
- 48:26Speaker 1: Tuesday in your driveway man, I tell you was did
- 48:30Speaker 1: you come to my house in front of my drive?
- 48:32Speaker 1: You better bring the old congregation, you understand, you better
- 48:35Speaker 1: bring the deacons, the brothers, the sisters and everybody eases
- 48:39Speaker 1: you think how many got ties of This is a problem.
- 48:42Speaker 1: This is what your friends are talking about. This is
- 48:43Speaker 1: why you need to be baptized and cleansed again and
- 48:46Speaker 1: washed in the blood of the lamp. This is what's wrong.
- 48:49Speaker 1: You need to be cleansed. That's what's wrong with you,
- 48:52Speaker 1: mister Wilton. What's wrong with me? Now? What's wrong with
- 48:54Speaker 1: you is clartly a little my hope. They're telling me
- 48:56Speaker 1: I need to be backtighed in front of my house
- 48:58Speaker 1: If I need to be baptised, don't get some only
- 49:00Speaker 1: water I go down to the church. I don't need
- 49:03Speaker 1: you come in front of my house looking old turkers.
- 49:06Speaker 1: We're Are you afraid of some white sheets talking about
- 49:08Speaker 1: to the backs after me? That mona understanding, from my understanding,
- 49:12Speaker 1: From my understanding, mister Wilson, you missed two Sundays already
- 49:16Speaker 1: this month. Sund this man, I can't go anywhere and
- 49:19Speaker 1: get the water I don't need if you coming here
- 49:21Speaker 1: because you tell him, I missed two damn Sundays. I'm
- 49:23Speaker 1: gonna miss funding the two because the fun I ain't
- 49:26Speaker 1: coming off, sir. All I know is I've been paid
- 49:28Speaker 1: to do a job. I will be there Tuesday morning
- 49:31Speaker 1: at seven o'clock and we will baptize you before you
- 49:33Speaker 1: go to work on two. Before you will I tell
- 49:36Speaker 1: you what you curtting like seven o'clock and morning. I
- 49:39Speaker 1: swear on your lord, I'm gonna bust you. You understand me.
- 49:43Speaker 1: You were not cutting my house, telling me you would
- 49:46Speaker 1: a backtipe. Now, I don't give a damn who paid you.
- 49:48Speaker 1: You understand I was drying your awards man. Stop bringing
- 49:53Speaker 1: you your teachers, everybody else. We're gonna have a fool
- 49:55Speaker 1: party in that. You understand I getting all of this.
- 50:00Speaker 1: I ain't gonna and all of this. Did these problems
- 50:02Speaker 1: you have within you? We are going to purge your
- 50:04Speaker 1: body and get it out your system. I don't want
- 50:07Speaker 1: your cleanse to me. I tell you what. I tell
- 50:09Speaker 1: you what brother, swing water water, You gonna get baptized,
- 50:15Speaker 1: oh Tuesday morning. I don't give a dam who pays you,
- 50:18Speaker 1: who called you bring you? I'm gonna I can't kill you.
- 50:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna dry, y'all side. I got one more thing
- 50:25Speaker 1: I want to say to you? Is you listening to
- 50:26Speaker 1: gotta matter? I'm missing? You ain't got to say to me.
- 50:30Speaker 1: I gotta go. You understand you don't, man, I want
- 50:33Speaker 1: to say to you, Is you listening to me? Whatnot?
- 50:36Speaker 1: This is nephew Tommy from the Steve Harby Morning Show.
- 50:40Speaker 1: You just got pranked by your boy Mason. Hello, man,
- 50:48Speaker 1: let me chell y'all something. Man, Let me sell you
- 50:54Speaker 1: something boy, y'all y'all was vibrado man, that's ahead. Man.
- 50:57Speaker 1: I was about to act the fool on y'all because
- 51:00Speaker 1: y'all would have showed my crib. You understand me what
- 51:03Speaker 1: time y'all ain't got just better to do. Didn't sit
- 51:08Speaker 1: around here and just with people during their day. Man.
- 51:13Speaker 1: I ain't never thought y'all could give me with this.
- 51:16Speaker 1: Who the hell goes around baptize of people's like middles
- 51:20Speaker 1: on whilla? I baptized people with a pull on the back.
- 51:26Speaker 1: I gotta ask you something. What is the baddest radio
- 51:29Speaker 1: show in the land? Man? You know it's the Steve
- 51:32Speaker 1: Harvey Moran The Show. Huh, y'all? Good man, y'all do
- 51:43Speaker 1: wait till I get my jet. When I get my jet,
- 51:46Speaker 1: I'm flying on. You're going there. When I give my jet,
- 51:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna go to cargo and be baptized on. That
- 52:01Speaker 1: was crazy. Sometimes you gotta be washed in the blood
- 52:08Speaker 1: of the lamb. All right, my driveway can be done
- 52:12Speaker 1: in the driveway, in the backyard, or even on the
- 52:14Speaker 1: side of the house, but right now you need to
- 52:16Speaker 1: be washed and cleansed in the blood of the lamb.
- 52:20Speaker 1: All right, all right, everybody saying man, amen, Man, Man again.
- 52:29Speaker 1: That's that's what you really think. You're a preacher sometimes
- 52:35Speaker 1: because you're so good. You're in your eyes every now
- 52:39Speaker 1: and then, I feel a sermon coming home. Next week,
- 52:44Speaker 1: we're gonna get everybody in bikinis and mask, bikinis and
- 52:49Speaker 1: the mask. You hume forward in your bikini and mask,
- 52:54Speaker 1: and that's all you're gonna need for a daycastion, because
- 52:58Speaker 1: that's what we're going to be doing when we're going
- 53:00Speaker 1: to take a dacation in the Kiennis and massy. This
- 53:05Speaker 1: is not a vacation with the bat. Thank you, nephew.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, it's the

- 54:26Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject, I can't find a
- 54:30Speaker 1: man in real life or online. Dear Stephen Shirley, This
- 54:34Speaker 1: isn't a typical letter about cheating. I am in my
- 54:38Speaker 1: mid thirties and I've been single for too long. I'm
- 54:41Speaker 1: a nurse and I meet a lot of great men
- 54:44Speaker 1: at work, but I'm not having any luck in love.
- 54:47Speaker 1: When I meet a guy, I'm optimistic and I'm not
- 54:50Speaker 1: expecting him to play games just to have sex with me.
- 54:53Speaker 1: I'm the type to text right back, return calls, and
- 54:56Speaker 1: show up early for a date. My girlfriends say I
- 55:01Speaker 1: catch feelings too quickly and I'm a hopeless romantic, but
- 55:05Speaker 1: I love love and I want to be married. The
- 55:08Speaker 1: last guy I dated would send me Texas to set
- 55:11Speaker 1: up a date, and we rarely talked on the phone.
- 55:15Speaker 1: A couple of times he canceled the date as I
- 55:18Speaker 1: was on my way to meet him. I didn't see
- 55:21Speaker 1: those red flags. I didn't see those as red flags
- 55:24Speaker 1: because my life happens, because life happens, and plans to
- 55:28Speaker 1: do change. He eventually broke up with me via text,
- 55:31Speaker 1: and I wasn't able to get closure, so I turned
- 55:34Speaker 1: to online dating because of COVID, and when I met guys,
- 55:38Speaker 1: we had to virtually see each other. Even then, it
- 55:41Speaker 1: was hard to keep a man engaged. The guys i've
- 55:44Speaker 1: been meeting, do not have conversation, and they want nude
- 55:48Speaker 1: photos and like to sext instead of getting to know me.
- 55:52Speaker 1: I lowered my standards before and had a sexual relationship
- 55:56Speaker 1: with a doctor that I work with, and he did
- 55:58Speaker 1: not tell me he was married. I've prayed and then
- 56:02Speaker 1: gone to counseling so I would not become bitter and
- 56:06Speaker 1: ruined by him. I know my letter isn't the normal
- 56:09Speaker 1: outcry for help, but I do need some real insight
- 56:12Speaker 1: on why dating is like this. Now the rappers and
- 56:15Speaker 1: actors are making it cool again to get married, so
- 56:18Speaker 1: I'm hoping it catches on with regular guys and everyday life.
- 56:22Speaker 1: Maybe you could do a mentoring piece for older guys
- 56:25Speaker 1: older guys on how to treat women. Or is dating
- 56:30Speaker 1: a loss cause? Now? Well, no, absolutely not. Dating is
- 56:35Speaker 1: not a loss cause. And because you gotta date, you
- 56:38Speaker 1: gotta get to know the people. You gotta learn the
- 56:40Speaker 1: people and who they really are. It's not the dates.
- 56:44Speaker 1: I just think in this instance, it's you. You're moving fast.
- 56:49Speaker 1: You're moving too fast. You love love, you say you
- 56:52Speaker 1: want to get married. Well that's great, that's all great,
- 56:55Speaker 1: but you know you just can't love anybody or get
- 56:59Speaker 1: married to any one. I don't think you should waste
- 57:03Speaker 1: your time on the wrong person just because you want
- 57:05Speaker 1: to be in love so badly. And you know, I
- 57:09Speaker 1: really think, like I said, you're moving too fast. You
- 57:12Speaker 1: need to slow down. Please, You're all over the place.
- 57:15Speaker 1: If this doesn't work here at work, then I'll just
- 57:17Speaker 1: go online date these guys. It's too much. Slow it down, breathe.
- 57:22Speaker 1: I agree with your girls on this one. I think
- 57:24Speaker 1: you catch feelings too quickly. You don't even give your chance,
- 57:28Speaker 1: yourself a chance at love. You don't know how these
- 57:32Speaker 1: guys are who they are that you're falling in love with.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I think it's a sign of desperation on your part.
- 57:40Speaker 1: You say you're your mid thirty, so you're thinking about
- 57:42Speaker 1: your biological clock if you want to be married and
- 57:44Speaker 1: have kids and all that. Well, you know, but you
- 57:47Speaker 1: get these guys who just text you and you're okay
- 57:50Speaker 1: with that. No, they need to pick up the phone
- 57:53Speaker 1: and give you a proper phone call and talk to
- 57:55Speaker 1: you about where you're going on the date at some point,
- 57:58Speaker 1: don't you think. And then this guy that canceled on
- 58:01Speaker 1: you twice twice, you let them get away with it
- 58:05Speaker 1: one time, but then you let it get away with
- 58:07Speaker 1: it again, just as you were on your way to
- 58:09Speaker 1: meet him. How is that acceptable to you? You don't
- 58:12Speaker 1: value yourself or your time, and I'm sure he sees that,
- 58:17Speaker 1: so he doesn't value you or your time either, And
- 58:20Speaker 1: then you make all kinds of excuses for them, like
- 58:23Speaker 1: life happens or plans do change. No, No, you let
- 58:28Speaker 1: them know. You let them know. Please see these as
- 58:32Speaker 1: the red flags that they are, because they are red flags.
- 58:36Speaker 1: If you're meeting these guys that just want to have
- 58:38Speaker 1: sex and sex to with you, then you should be
- 58:41Speaker 1: saying I'm out. That's what you should be saying to them,
- 58:45Speaker 1: because that's not what you want. You said you want marriage.
- 58:48Speaker 1: You said you had sex with a married doctor on
- 58:50Speaker 1: the job. He didn't tell you he was married. Well,
- 58:52Speaker 1: did you ask him or did you just jump into
- 58:55Speaker 1: the thing? You've got to you know, be a part
- 58:58Speaker 1: of this situation too. Give yourself time to know these
- 59:01Speaker 1: guys before jumping into bed with him. I just think
- 59:05Speaker 1: you know you should have suspected something. You should have
- 59:08Speaker 1: if he was a married guy. Wow, I here's a
- 59:12Speaker 1: question and that you should ask yourself. I'm sure you've
- 59:15Speaker 1: heard this before. Would you date you? Just think about that,
- 59:18Speaker 1: would you date you? If the answer is yes, that
- 59:21Speaker 1: means you have a self healthy self esteem, You don't
- 59:24Speaker 1: put yourself down, you have self confidence, things like that. Okay,
- 59:28Speaker 1: and that's what you need to date these guys. Now,
- 59:30Speaker 1: don't worry about what the rappers are doing. Just worry
- 59:32Speaker 1: about what you're doing, Steve, I can't find a man
- 59:37Speaker 1: in real life? Oh online? Join the club? You have
- 59:44Speaker 1: any idea how many women are saying this? But you
- 59:48Speaker 1: have a typical letter. It's not non typical, it's very typical.
- 59:52Speaker 1: It may not be the normal strawberry letter we get.
- 59:56Speaker 1: But this thing that you're saying I've heard hundreds of
- 59:58Speaker 1: times before. So when I come back, I'm gonna straighten
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: it out for you. You ain't got to listen to me, though,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: but you were did right us though? All right, thank you, Steve.
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: We'll have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour of subject I can't
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: find a man in real life or online. You're listening
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Come on, Steve,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: let's recap today's Strawberry letter, the subject I can't find
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: a man in real life or online. Let's just go
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: through the letter so I can help her. This isn't
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: a joke letter. This is let me help you. I'm
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: in my mid thirties. I've been single too long. I'm
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: a nurse. Meet a lot of great men at work,
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: but I'm not having any luck in love. When I
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: meet a guy, I'm optimistic and not expecting him to
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: play games just to have sexual me. I'm the type
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: detect right back, return calls, and show up early for
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: a day. Okay, first of all, when I meet a guy,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: I'm optimistic and not expecting him to play games just
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: have sex with me. You have to change that. You
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: have to immediately just change that thought process. It's okay
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: to be optimistic, but at one point you got to
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: start being a little bit more realistic and a lot
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: less gullible. And you start that by just changing that
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: line right there. When I meet a guy, I'm optimistic
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: and not expecting him to play games just to hal
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: sexual Why you think they're meeting you to have sex
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: with you? Ain't no dude wondering about your dreams and
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: visions by Kenneth Bout you know what you hope for
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: in life. We talk to you because we want to
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: have sex with you. This is what it is. So
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: stop all the expecting him to play games just to
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: have sex but not what he want. What you gotta
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: do is make it cost more than sex. I'm the
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: type to text right back, return calls to show up
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: early for a day. You got to stop being so
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: damn a failable call me right back. Oh yeah, what's
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: what's saying again? Hello? Hello? Hello? Hell hers me me me,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: So I took so longer picked up on a second me.
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I try to get it right away. You're too damn available.
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: And what girl woman shows up at day early on
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: the date be late. Stars ain't ever own time. We
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: don't roll into everybody there. They wait on us. It's
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: a damn rule. Why because we the star. I know
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: that's messed up, but that's the way it won for
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: I became one. So I'm playing the damn I'm not
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: gonna be there early, waiting on the set designer and
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: all that. You are the star of this date. The
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: woman is the star of the date. Make no mistake
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: about it. We are the leading man, but the woman
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: is the star of the date. We want to know
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: what you got on how you have, how you walk,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: how you smell, what you feel like. Ain't nobody wondering
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: what we win? We got on shirt and some damn pants. Yeah,
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: my girl said, I catch feelings too quick and I'm
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: hopeless romantic, but I love love and I want to
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: be married. Okay, cool? That ask god? Data would send
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: me text, set up a date, rarely talk on the
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: phone a couple of times. He counseled the data. I
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: was on my way to meeting. I didn't see those
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: of red flags because life happens and plans do change.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Why all this just keep happening to you, though? Why
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: life always got to happen to you? Miss unrealistic? Set
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: yourself up to be gullible. So I turned online dating
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: because of COVID. Okay, de great, It's hard to keep
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: a man engage. They've been meeting down on health converensate.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: They want new pictures, they like sex text instead of
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: getting to know man. I lowered my standing to be
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: for I had a sex relationship with the doctor that
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: I worked with, and he did not tell me. He
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: was mad because you didn't ask him. I prayed and
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: went to counseling so I could not become bitter and
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: ruined by him. I know my letters and the normal
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: outfro for help, but I do need some real insight
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: as to why Datan is like this. Now Here was
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: the line that I wanted to just tat it. Let up.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: The rappers and actors are making it cool again to
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: get married, so I'm hoping it catches with the regular
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: guys and every day what you you taking relationship advice
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: from rappers? What waite? The rappers and actors are making
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: it cool again to getting married, so I'm hoping that
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: catches on with the regular guys in everyday life. What?
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: What rap song you listening to? What rapper are you
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: talking to? Why would you base any of your relationship
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: decisions based on some rappers? They're entertainers, They're gonna write
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: whatever hot I got? Whold in different area codes is
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: a rap move? Be get out the way? Get out
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: the way is a wrap. But he's married though, I mean,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: I got It's all types of stuff, so what do
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: you what's wrong? I'm dating married man, I date the doctor,
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: I date people that just text me. I dated a
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: dude online. I'm getting sexy now I know what hell
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: a rappers and actors. Girl, girl, listen to me. Then
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: she says, maybe you could do a mintoring piece for
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: older guys and how to treat women, or it's dating
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: a lost cause. Now no dating is still good. But
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: let me tell you something about writing books for men
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: and having a camp for men. Men not gonna change
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: for Steve hard Why you think I've never done it?
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Because I know men. Men are not gonna listen to
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: me about how to be. They're gonna get offended. Men
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: won't change for me. Men only change for that one
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: special woman. And until you start acting special, you can't
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: expect nobody to treat you special. There you go, period,
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: you're listening. All right, guys, get ready, It is that
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: time for Junior and Sportstock. Here we go. You know,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: we need to give it up for the NBA because
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: they've been keeping them messaging going the entire time they
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: get decide the bubble, man, they have really doing it. Man.
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: So the NBA players are playing in the bubble in Orlando,
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: and they're playing from the beginning was to bring awareness
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: and speak out on social injustice and racism. Take a
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: listen to Oklahoma's Chris Paul speak after the win over
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: the Houston Rockets Old Long. I just want to send
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: my prayers out to Jacob Blake and their family, you know,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: the things that you know, we decided to come down
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: here to play for and we said we're gonna speak
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: on the social injustice and the things that continue to happen.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: You know, tid people. It's not right. It's not right.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: So when it's good, you know, but voting is real.
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I'm gonna challenge all my NBA guys, other sports guys,
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: let's try to get our entire teams rugistered to vote.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: You know what I mean. There's a lot of stuff
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: going on in the country sports. His school is good
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: and welles how we take our families, but those are
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: the real issues that we got to start addressing, right
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: Chris Ya, that's beautiful. I love Chris ball Man. You know,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: he's no profound and he been he'd been single handed
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: kicking Houston. Tala heard everything he said, but he said,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: you're talking about sports too high important it would I
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: just wanted to say that after Anthroom like that, to
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: be after the head, to even have this on your
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: land his real great because you know because after you quill,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you know, Houston team with Jane Harden on it two
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: games in a row. Then you still wants to vote
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: and you still won't them to vote doing that because
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Rockets fans. That's a man's man. And if Westbrook don't
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: come back real soon, Dreams can't do it by we're
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: gonna win this series. We talk about guys Junior. Today
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: is Dreams Harden's birthday too. He better win night and
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: do something, do something. But we were talking about Steve,
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: didn't have to talk about you talking about your segment
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: is sports. We need you over here. I got all
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: rested this here. Let me calling Sherley. We got all
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: this hit you and the and the ignorant person on
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: the show you do sports and igness trying to come
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: over it up. Had y'all on the game though, I
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: have to hear that. But since y'all ain't win, y'all
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: just gonna talk about these issues. Yea, yeah, wait till
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the night, man, wait till the night. Well, if y'all
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: win tonight, let me tell you ain't gone WoT me?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Oh no, no, come on, don't it? No? You know sports,
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: what did Cleveland do this week? They wasn't invited to
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: the bubble. Ain't in the bubble What about somebody is
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: any bubble getting a bubble bus? All right, thank you, Junior.
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we'll have
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. So last night, guys,
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: was Milannia Trump's our First Lady. It was her chance
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: to convince women to vote for her husband, Donald Trump.
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: The First Lady delivered her speech from the White House
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: from the Rose Garden. She talked about achieving her dreams
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: as an immigrant. We all remember four years ago after
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Melania Trump's first big GOP speech was criticized because she
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: plagiarized or forever First Lady Michelle Obama's two thousand and
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: eight convention speech. Okay, she's change. She did, Yeah, yeah,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: she did. A recent poula of female voters show Trump
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: is now trailing Democratic nominee Joe Biden by roughly twenty
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: five points. Even with white working class women. They appear
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: now to be abandoning the president. White women get taddy. Yeah,
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: but before we comment on that, nephew, Carla, were you listening?
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: I could have sworn The First Lady says something about
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Lubaton's did you hear that part? I thought that she
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: said her accident is very thick. I thought she said
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: because I was like, yes, girl, yes, because she's always
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: so fly. Yeah, I could have dress fly. Yeah, but
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: you know the problem I have with her being fly.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: If Michelle Obama would have spent what she spends applause, yeah, oh,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: they would have the American people that's them double. You know. Look,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I listened to her speech. I don't have anything to
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: negative to say about any of the first ladies because
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: they're not they're not in the in the in the polls,
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: I mean yeah, and I leave people's kids and wives alone,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: So I don't have nothing to say. She did what
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: she's supposed to do, support her husband, but she didn't
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: say nothing. And if you thought, if you thought that
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: was supposed to sway women to vote, I didn't hear
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: it at all. I heard. I came to this country
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: at twenty six. I studied for the exam and passed
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: it at thirty six. She's now fifty, her son is fourteen,
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: thirty six years and fifty. It's fourteen. You will hear
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: ten years. So if you've been praying and y'all you've
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: been married is two thousand and five. That's fifteen years.
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: Your son is fourteen years and it was ten years
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: after you got here. Now I'm just I mean, look,
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: I don't know how y'all met and all this here,
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: but that's why you here, That's why you're in this country.
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: That's how you got in this country. So now, all
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: these problems we had with everybody else coming to the country,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: she got in free and clear because of how she looked.
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: She got scooped up. And now she in the White House.
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: What ye Wait a minute, you was a model. Now
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: you in the White House? First? What first, lady? But
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: he's stopping other immigrants from the country from getting worked
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: visa because they don't come from south of the border.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: If you come from south of the border, you're gonna
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: have a different tone of skin. We got a problem hearing.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: You don't come from Cuba, don't come from El Solvad
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: though it don't come from you know, Mexico, don't come
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: from any pauls to South America. Try to bring your
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: ass in here from Brazil. I'm gonna try all this
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: here now. Her speech was long too, by the way, Well,
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: only now I was looking at Trump. This is the
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: longest he's ever listened to his wife, and it showed
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: on his face. He looked like, the hell is we
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: doing here? Yeah? They had an audience, Yeah, she had
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: an audience. Well, Um, to sum it all up, there
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: are sixty nine days left until November third, that is
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: election day. Please go right now to get registered a
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: vote for one one dot org. It does take less
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: than two minutes. As we've been telling you, that's no
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: time to register. Plus you can get your dates when
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: you can early vote. So go now to vote for
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: one one dot org. Vote for one one dot org. Please,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: we need you to vote, and we need you to
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: vote early. That's right, nephew. Coming up more of today's
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: trending stories on the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, right after this, you're listening to
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: show of all the things that have happened, I should say,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: in twenty twenty, here we are faced with another hurricane, Um, Carla,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: and from the looks of it, it's on the Gulf coast.
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Now it's Hurricane Laura. Yeah, it's it's rapidly coming. It's
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: a big it's a big storm. And you know we
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: talked about this yesterday and we have to just keep
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: saying it every day. We have a lot of listeners
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: that listen to us on the Golf coast. I mean
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: that I ten quarter. We got a lot of stations,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: a lot of listeners, and you all have to you
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: have to listen to the authorities. You need to under
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: stand the difference between a voluntary evacuation and a mandatory evacuation.
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: Mandatory means this, they have asked you to leave. They
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: can't make you leave, but they have asked you to leave.
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: But if you need if you decide to stay and
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: you need help after the storm has passed, or you
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: try to call nine one one, there is no guarantee
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: that they can help you, that they can be there
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: for you. So when they say mandatory evacuation, listen to
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: these authorities and the directions. There's no time to play
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: with these storms, with the nature. I'm so glad you're
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: saying that, because you know this week is the fifteen
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. And I just remember how
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: many people during that time we're saying they're going to
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: ride it out, They're going to stay in their homes,
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: and it got so crucial till rescue workers had to
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: come and get them because you can't save a house
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: from water at race. Yeah, thank you, Carla. All right,
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show and
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: some trending news at thirty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show. Time. Now
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: for Steve's favorite segment. It's called asked the ClOH the cloth,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: which stands for Chief Love Officer, Steve Harvey, Are you ready, sir? Absolutely?
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: Marissa in Columbia, South Carolina says, I'm a twenty eight
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: year old woman dating a thirty two year old man
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: that has a best friend that he calls his little sister.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: She's my age. Over the weekend, she was in town
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: and he let her stay at his house. I stayed
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: over there too, because I never trusted her. Saturday morning,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: she was walking around the kitchen with a T shirt
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: and panties on. I told her she should put on
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: some shorts or pants, and my boyfriend said, it's no
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: big deal. The girl smirked at me and went to
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: her room. My boyfriend said he doesn't have any romantic
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: feelings for her, so it's no big deal. Should I
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: trust him. Well, if it's his little sister, I get it.
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: But his best friend, little sister panties, T shirt, Adina
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: the song. I don't know what to tell you, lady,
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: but that's you stayed over there. It's weird, it's a
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: little different relationship. Whatever your intuition tells you, that's what
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: you should go with. That's all I can say. Yeah, so,
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: I don't know, they could just be friends. But to
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: walk around in the panties and T shirt and you
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: over there, Yeah, come on, now, does that No, she's
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: trying to send a message to you. Yeah, exactly. But
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: she did the right thing by telling her to put
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: something on. I'm not mad at her for that at all. Hey, hey, hey,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: in the words of Steve, you walk around here in
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: your draws. Oh no, oh no, ma'am. Oh no I am,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: oh no, ma'am. And then she smirked at her. That's
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: the other thing to punch her, heath head. You don't
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: smirk me, no, Joe, hey, dog, and explain some teeth.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: We're in my house, and you would, dude, you do
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: something the line with me. Man, Please, I ain't got
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: nothing for you. Listen, don't come to my house talking
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: about political correctness or none of that. Not at my house.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I say what I want to say around him. You
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: can get outline if you want to. Yah, it's my
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: house and my rules. Yeah. So to answer her question,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: should I trust him, you're saying, trust your own intuition,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: trust your It ain't him, it's her. Do you trust him? Panics?
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: That's that's your that's your answer. That's that's why they
- 1:18:59Speaker 1: say his agent. All right, coming up, it's our last
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: break of the day, last break of the day. I
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: like that one. And of course we'll have some closing
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey at forty
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: nine minutes after right after this remark, you don't want
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: to miss him you're listening to all right, guys, listen,
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: we're in the sixties now. Okay, there are sixty nine
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: days left until the November third day of election. Okay,
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: the general election, the presidential election is November third. What
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: we want you to do is get to the polls,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: get registered at vote for one one dot org. You
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: can do that. It takes no time, like a couple
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: of minutes. All you have to do is register if
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: you haven't registered already, if you've moved or something. Change
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: your address. You got a registered so you can vote
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: in your community. Go to vote for one one dot org.
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: Then when you do that, you can also get the
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: dates about when you can early vote. Okay, and we
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: that's what we want everyone to do, Steve. We want
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: them to early vote. We want everyone to early vote
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: if possible, and and make this a day. You know
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: you got a plan for this day, all right. I mean,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I'm so glad that your business plan, you guys profits
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: license is about to be expired in my birthday. My
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: birthday is in October. Mine. Well, it's time for me
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: to get on the ball because what you ain't gonna
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: do is stop me from vote. Yes, so you gotta, yeah,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: you gotta start taking care of your business looking license.
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: The people excuse me for get out and get registered. Hey,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: but you know how get registered? But you know how
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: people plan for things. You know, you get your outfits
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: laid out, if you go into the club, if you're
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: going to to to the job. You know, you get
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: the kids ready. If it's the baby, you plan, you
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: get their bottles, you pump your milk, whatever to do it.
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, because you got a plan, go ahead, Steve,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: let me say this, I really really don't like Tommy
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: just said. I do not understand how anybody cannot see
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: the importance of this election. You thought it was important
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: to get to the polls in two thousand and eight
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: twelve when Barack Obama ran, Oh, it was critical for
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: us as a people. What it did. There's a guy
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: that works for me. His little brother is starting to
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: like girls. And he was talking to him and I
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: asked him over the phone the other day. He's like
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: twelve years old, almost thirteen. I think, I say, hey, man,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: what do you think of the president of the United States?
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: He said, the greatest president of Barack Obama? I said,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: were you excited to get a black president? He said,
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: what you mean? I said, were you excited to see
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: a black person in the White House? The guy that
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: worked for me and stopped me and said, mister Harvey,
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: that's all he's ever known. He don't know nothing else.
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: It wasn't that he had to be excited. When he
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: was old enough to look at TV, all he ever
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: saw was a black man was a president. That's the
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: first president he was able to recognize as the president
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: and be aware. And I went, wow, Wow, What a crazy,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: crazy honor that has to be. That's how important the
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: election of Barack Obama was. And it's millions of stories
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: to top that one, including my own. In my life,
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: I never ever thought I would live to see a
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: black man become president. As a matter of fact, when
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: I went to the first fundraiser from Barack Obama at
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: La Reid's house in New York, I didn't even think
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: he was gonna win. I said, man, I throw some
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: support behind you, bro. You know, but black man in
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: the White House. This is before anything happened really major
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: he became president. We have an opportunity in November to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: send a message to the Trump administration that our lives
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: do matter, that you can't not mention us at the
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: National Convention Black lives matter and make that make us
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: go away, because we do matter. And the best way
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: to show him and the Trump administration and his DJ
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: Robert Barr and his Attorney General and all these people
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that work for him that do his bidding, the best
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: way to do is get them out of office. And
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: the best way to do that is to vote. This
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: is a dangerous election, man, do you understand, and that
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: they're removed that they've removed mailboxes from Democratic districts. Do
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: you understand that they're taking out sorting machines? Do you
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: think you know that they're trying to make the ballot
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: not a priority mail item like it's always been since
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: the mail system began, when you can vote by mail.
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Do you know what they're trying to do? And it's
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: called voter suppression. It's what they specialize in. And now
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: with the pandemic, instead of coming up with the cure
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: for the pandemic and rules and masking all this hidden all,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: go out and get your ass sick in the predominantly
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: people of color who are suffering disproportionately by this, so
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: you ain't got to go to the polls. And then
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: let's close poles around these districts and condensed them down
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: to one like they did for the primaries, to make
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: it aggravating for you to go vote. It's called voter suppression.
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: It's what they're doing because they think we're not gonna
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: show up. But Steve Harvey Nation, we got news for him.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: We're gonna show up, We're gonna vote, and we're gonna
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: take people with us. You're gonna look at them lines
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: Trump administration, and it's gonna look like when Obama ran.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: Because whatever you want to say about Joe Biden and
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: y'all get off this stick right here. What he gonna do,
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: he's gonna do like all the rest of them do.
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: But we stand a chance of putting the first black
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: woman in the White House as vice president. Now, I'll
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: tell you like I told the dude on the plane
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: when I was flying commercial one time. He looked at me.
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: We had a long conversation about Barack Obama being president,
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: and then before the election, he said, you seem like
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: an honest person. Can I ask you a question? Are
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: you voting for President Obama just because he's black? I
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: said yeah. He said, do you think that's really good?
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: I said, is that the same reason you ain't gonna
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: vote for him? Do you think that's good? So you're good,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: and my good. I'm going to the polls and we're
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: going in November two, and Trump has spent his last
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: days in this White House. Black Lives Matter Watch for
