- 1:45Speaker 1: Then turn the water. The water got come, come on
- 1:59Speaker 1: your back, I shall well, good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:05Speaker 1: to the voice, come on dig me now, one and only.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man. I love it
- 2:14Speaker 1: when I run up into people and they say that
- 2:16Speaker 1: to me. They say, hey, Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:19Speaker 1: Then they wink at man, I know they're listening. You know.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I got a lot off my chest yesterday. I wanted
- 2:24Speaker 1: to clear some things up. And I appreciate y'all giving
- 2:26Speaker 1: me a minute because sometimes, you know, you just gotta
- 2:29Speaker 1: say some things out loud. Not complaining, but hey, just verbalizing,
- 2:34Speaker 1: but realizing that I gotta keep going anyway. And that's
- 2:38Speaker 1: for my words this morning to you that I want
- 2:42Speaker 1: you to keep pushing no matter what happens. I want
- 2:48Speaker 1: to share something with you that's important, that's very very important. See,
- 2:55Speaker 1: you have to give God something too. Bless you know,
- 3:00Speaker 1: if your prayer is asking for God's blessings, you got
- 3:04Speaker 1: to give him something to work with. Now, you know,
- 3:09Speaker 1: you gotta show the spirit of appreciation or gratitude. You
- 3:15Speaker 1: gotta let him know that you're in it for the
- 3:17Speaker 1: long haul. No matter what happens. Don't turn around. You
- 3:25Speaker 1: will never ever see what the end could be. If
- 3:30Speaker 1: you turn around and go back, You'll never know what
- 3:34Speaker 1: the end could have been had you stuck it out.
- 3:38Speaker 1: You'll never know how good it could have gotten had
- 3:44Speaker 1: you not just weathered the storm. That's the thing that
- 3:49Speaker 1: gets most people. They get tough for them, It get
- 3:54Speaker 1: hard for them, and then they let doubts set in,
- 3:57Speaker 1: and then those doubts become fat and the next thing
- 4:01Speaker 1: you know, they give up. Had you not given up,
- 4:05Speaker 1: or had you given your best, what the results are
- 4:08Speaker 1: outcome could have been. I look back on my life
- 4:11Speaker 1: on so many occasions where in college I wasn't giving
- 4:16Speaker 1: my best. Now I flunked out. Now it's easy to
- 4:23Speaker 1: look at my life nine go yeah, but look at
- 4:25Speaker 1: you now. But back then, man, it cost me for
- 4:30Speaker 1: so many years that failing to finish, that not giving
- 4:36Speaker 1: my all, it cost me a number of years I
- 4:42Speaker 1: wish I could say that it didn't mean nothing, that
- 4:45Speaker 1: it was just a blimp on the radar skin screen,
- 4:47Speaker 1: But at the time it was major. And so you
- 4:50Speaker 1: have a lot of decisions in your life that are
- 4:53Speaker 1: happening now. You may be in your twenties, your late teens,
- 4:57Speaker 1: you could be in your early thirties, and it's happening.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Guess what you'll eventually get through it provided one thing,
- 5:06Speaker 1: you never give up. You never turn around and go back.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Had I written myself off because of one failure, see,
- 5:15Speaker 1: and this is where so many people go but go
- 5:17Speaker 1: wrong at two. You write yourself off after you failed
- 5:20Speaker 1: at something, the one thing you thought you wanted to
- 5:24Speaker 1: accomplish and you failed at it. Now you write yourself
- 5:27Speaker 1: as a failure. Now you go settle on end to
- 5:30Speaker 1: life and just see what See what hand you get
- 5:34Speaker 1: had when I flunked out of college, had I written
- 5:37Speaker 1: myself off as a failure, I wouldn't be here today.
- 5:41Speaker 1: When I lost my carpet cleaning company, I would have
- 5:44Speaker 1: written myself as a failure. And I wouldn't be here
- 5:47Speaker 1: today when I didn't become a diamond distributed in Amway
- 5:52Speaker 1: or a direct distributor in am way even, I would
- 5:55Speaker 1: have written myself as a failure, and I wouldn't be
- 5:58Speaker 1: here today. When I bought a distribution kit to become
- 6:03Speaker 1: a distributor of the Bohemian Diet and I didn't make it,
- 6:09Speaker 1: I would have written myself as a failure. When I
- 6:12Speaker 1: became an Al Williams distributor and I didn't make it,
- 6:15Speaker 1: I would have written myself as a failure, and I
- 6:17Speaker 1: wouldn't be here today. Oh, I got a list for you.
- 6:22Speaker 1: When I got laid off it for a motor company.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Had I written myself as a failure, I wouldn't have
- 6:27Speaker 1: made it. Do you need some more? Because I have
- 6:33Speaker 1: a story filled with mishaps. I have a story filled
- 6:39Speaker 1: with failures. A couple of things now, the grace of
- 6:44Speaker 1: God and his mercy which is available to us all.
- 6:48Speaker 1: See that's the key, y'all, Because of his mercy, because
- 6:52Speaker 1: of his willingness to forgive and to even understand why
- 6:59Speaker 1: we do the things we do. In all of my shortcomings,
- 7:05Speaker 1: failed marriages I'm talking about, man got it all wrong.
- 7:11Speaker 1: Can't blame nobody else. It's just me. Steve ain't have
- 7:15Speaker 1: it together at that point in life. I've could have
- 7:19Speaker 1: ridden myself as a failure the first time I could.
- 7:23Speaker 1: I just could have gave up on it after the
- 7:25Speaker 1: second one. And please know that this is an admission.
- 7:29Speaker 1: This ain't bragging. So before you start in with me,
- 7:32Speaker 1: understand what I'm saying. I'm pointing out in my life
- 7:37Speaker 1: a series of missteps and failures. But how I still
- 7:43Speaker 1: get here today a couple of things. God's grace and
- 7:49Speaker 1: mercy is first. But that's the key that's for everybody
- 7:54Speaker 1: see if it's God's willingness to forgive you and God's
- 8:00Speaker 1: understanding of why we do what we do because He's
- 8:03Speaker 1: said we wasn't gonna be perfect. So in all of
- 8:07Speaker 1: your imperfections, your creator told you you would not be perfect.
- 8:12Speaker 1: He's sad it to you. It's out there. I don't
- 8:14Speaker 1: care which one of the books you read it tells
- 8:17Speaker 1: you that. So guess what With that in mind, he
- 8:23Speaker 1: has a grace that he has. It's like a grace period.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It's like when you don't pay your insurance premium on
- 8:30Speaker 1: the day that is due. The next day, they don't
- 8:32Speaker 1: just cancel your insurance premium. They have a grace period
- 8:38Speaker 1: because they ain't trying to stop this money from coming in.
- 8:41Speaker 1: But when it comes to God, there's no money required.
- 8:45Speaker 1: He just gives you the grace freely. It don't cost
- 8:48Speaker 1: you nothing. So you got to tap into that, y'all.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You gotta get in touch with that, because that's an
- 8:53Speaker 1: important part to making it. Understanding that His grace is available.
- 8:57Speaker 1: So when you make a mistake, So when you fail
- 9:02Speaker 1: at it, he has a loophole in the contract with
- 9:05Speaker 1: him that allows you to make mistakes, that allows you
- 9:09Speaker 1: to get it wrong, that allows you to fail time
- 9:12Speaker 1: and time and time again. But if you never give up,
- 9:16Speaker 1: if you keep getting up, if you keep trying, if
- 9:19Speaker 1: you keep striving, if you keep making the effort to
- 9:23Speaker 1: go forward and not go back, God has a blessing
- 9:27Speaker 1: for you, and He has it in abundance for you,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and God will give it to you at the right time.
- 9:33Speaker 1: But you got to be ready. Oh, I want it
- 9:37Speaker 1: to be successful. But if He had given it to
- 9:40Speaker 1: me back then I wouldn't have handled it correctly because
- 9:44Speaker 1: I would have made some more mistakes along the way.
- 9:48Speaker 1: So you make the mistakes to learn the lessons. Lord,
- 9:53Speaker 1: they ain't God been good to me. I ain't gonna
- 9:55Speaker 1: lie to you. Cool you're listening tow, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:02Speaker 1: let me have your undivided attention. Please, Once upon a midnight, dreary,
- 10:07Speaker 1: as I pondered, weak and weary. Now I chose not
- 10:09Speaker 1: to do that. Now an get that tim men out
- 10:15Speaker 1: of the night that covers me black as a pit,
- 10:17Speaker 1: from pole to pole. I think, whatever God may be,
- 10:20Speaker 1: from my unconquerable soul, under the fair clutch of circumstance,
- 10:24Speaker 1: I have not winch nor Clyde now cried aloud, under
- 10:27Speaker 1: the bludgeonings of chance. My head is bloody, but unbowed.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Beyond this place of rafting tears looms but the horror
- 10:35Speaker 1: of the shade. And yet the minutes of the years
- 10:38Speaker 1: finds as shall find me unafraid. It matters not how
- 10:43Speaker 1: straight the gate, how charged with punishment the scroll. I
- 10:48Speaker 1: am the master of my faith. I am the captain
- 10:52Speaker 1: of my soul. Invictus, Oh Lord, have mercy, ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:01Speaker 1: This is the beginning of the Steve Harvey Morning. You'll

- 14:42Speaker 1: my sister and I are two years apart in age,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and we look just alike and do everything together. We
- 14:48Speaker 1: met a guy from the Islands and I exchanged numbers
- 14:51Speaker 1: with him and ended up hanging out with him without
- 14:54Speaker 1: my sister. He's a great lover and a gentleman, but
- 14:58Speaker 1: he's not my type. I told him to take my
- 15:00Speaker 1: sister out to see if she's more his type than
- 15:03Speaker 1: I am. They hit it off and ended up having sex.
- 15:06Speaker 1: I didn't tell my sister I slept with him, but
- 15:09Speaker 1: he told her. She's so upset with me, and I
- 15:12Speaker 1: feel bad for not telling her. How do I fix
- 15:15Speaker 1: this mess? So not much. Let's just why is either
- 15:25Speaker 1: one of y'all mad with each other? Both of y'all
- 15:28Speaker 1: meeting dudes on the eyelets sleep? It would have right off, y'all,
- 15:32Speaker 1: just like you just said that, you know your sister
- 15:36Speaker 1: just as tricky as you. You know this, y'all went
- 15:41Speaker 1: over there for that. Mm hmmm, yeah, y'all. Y'all making
- 15:46Speaker 1: decisions like what y'all mad about? And don't call him
- 15:49Speaker 1: a gentleman. He is not. He'll player, yeah, gentleman, player, Yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 1: he's not a gentleman. Gentleman would have kept his shut
- 16:01Speaker 1: what yeah gentleman, yeah, yeah, Well he's not a gentleman.
- 16:07Speaker 1: That's not not at all. It starts with the G.
- 16:11Speaker 1: But that's good. But gentleman, ain't the words you're looking for.
- 16:16Speaker 1: The term is giggalow. Yeah, chiggalow get lonely too. So
- 16:25Speaker 1: you know, I don't know what to tell you. I
- 16:26Speaker 1: can't get out this mass. They ain't never ha between
- 16:28Speaker 1: me and my brother. So my brother, eleven years older
- 16:31Speaker 1: than me, I wanted all of his girlfriend. They just
- 16:34Speaker 1: thought I was a little strange looking little boy. She
- 16:39Speaker 1: didn't tell her though, that's all nothing else, just a girl.
- 16:44Speaker 1: You know what we doo? What don't you tripping for?
- 16:47Speaker 1: I told him we went out, we had a nice time.
- 16:49Speaker 1: What you thought I was talking about? All right? Moving
- 16:54Speaker 1: tripping Dante, and Louisiana says, well at home, first of all,
- 17:00Speaker 1: shut I want to say the gang, the guy is
- 17:02Speaker 1: not to blame for this, because maybe he hit it
- 17:05Speaker 1: off with his sister and he wanted to get it
- 17:07Speaker 1: out before it came back and home to him. And
- 17:10Speaker 1: I think his honesty, which is what you all always
- 17:12Speaker 1: ask for, is the reason I say, stop being honest.
- 17:17Speaker 1: All the damn you felt some justification for a lot
- 17:22Speaker 1: of example of what is telling it fault? All right?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Dante uh in Mendon Louisiana Dante says, I am fifty
- 17:34Speaker 1: nine years old, okay, and I got divorced last year
- 17:37Speaker 1: and stay with my brother for a few weeks. My
- 17:40Speaker 1: brother's old lady came on to me and we were
- 17:42Speaker 1: intimate a few times. I had been drinking each time
- 17:45Speaker 1: it happened, and I told her it never would have
- 17:47Speaker 1: happened if I was sober. She didn't care, and she
- 17:51Speaker 1: still shows up at my place wanting sex. I've threatened
- 17:54Speaker 1: to get a restraining order to scare her, but that
- 17:57Speaker 1: didn't work. How do I get rid of this woman?
- 18:01Speaker 1: Are you serious? Brother? So, brother, you're gonna blame all
- 18:06Speaker 1: this own drinking your brother. It's your brother, dog And yeah,
- 18:13Speaker 1: what kind of relationship be y'all? Guy, you gotta get
- 18:16Speaker 1: a restraining order against somebody you didn't voluntarily had sex with.
- 18:22Speaker 1: But all she doing is showing up at the house.
- 18:25Speaker 1: Now you need the help of the legal institution to
- 18:28Speaker 1: help you stop having sex with your brothers. Is it
- 18:32Speaker 1: his wife, his brother's old lady, that's what he's called her. Okay,
- 18:37Speaker 1: So these old hood people, okay, my own lady. Okay.
- 18:43Speaker 1: So the business letter about my older brother, there because
- 18:46Speaker 1: that's still high heat. Same man. How your old lady doing, lady?
- 18:53Speaker 1: I'm sorry, everybody, everything funky with you? Yeah, there's some
- 19:01Speaker 1: skin on the black hand side. Old lady goes with
- 19:07Speaker 1: all of that. He's dead wrong for doing his brother's
- 19:11Speaker 1: old lady though? Wow a few times? All right? Moving on,
- 19:16Speaker 1: Schandra in Greenville says, I'm in my late forties and
- 19:19Speaker 1: I just got out of relationship with a guy that
- 19:22Speaker 1: is overweight. I broke up with him because he's fat.
- 19:26Speaker 1: My parents and my pastor have told me that I
- 19:29Speaker 1: let a good man go because I can't see past
- 19:31Speaker 1: his weight. He's fifty years old and his weight is
- 19:35Speaker 1: affecting his health. If he really loves me, he will
- 19:39Speaker 1: take better care of himself. He's gained almost twenty pounds recently,
- 19:43Speaker 1: and he can't perform sexually. Am I wrong for breaking
- 19:46Speaker 1: up with him? Just keep going? Well, I mean, listen,
- 19:53Speaker 1: Oh he can't. I mean when he fat when y'all
- 19:59Speaker 1: started day? Yeah, yeah, going up? Now, he didn't picked
- 20:04Speaker 1: up twenty more. You probably did let a good man go.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You know, fact don't stop you from being a good person.
- 20:12Speaker 1: Let's note and based on what's happened to Dave Chappelle.
- 20:18Speaker 1: I'm going to refrain from saying anything else about fat
- 20:23Speaker 1: ass people because what you're not fitting to do is
- 20:27Speaker 1: cost me my career. Because somebody Steve was on the
- 20:31Speaker 1: radio this morning talking about fat ass people, and the
- 20:34Speaker 1: person that wants to complain is somewhere listening to the
- 20:37Speaker 1: radio Eden right now. But man on me, because they
- 20:41Speaker 1: don't suck down a whole ham. Now, it's my damn fault.
- 20:45Speaker 1: Bottom line, you suldn't have been his sweat and grease.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Take care of your health, all right, really though, all right,
- 20:54Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right

- 21:01Speaker 1: top of the hour, Miss Anne will be here with
- 21:03Speaker 1: our national news and entertainment news. We'll talk about the

- 21:10Speaker 1: Cardie Bee gets a new house and Kanye loses one

- 31:46Speaker 1: It's kind of hard when you say to like to

- 33:20Speaker 1: Miss Anne Trimp, thank you very much, everybody. This is
- 33:23Speaker 1: entered with the news. President Biden has announced moves he's
- 33:26Speaker 1: taken to ease the backlog in the nation's supply chain
- 33:28Speaker 1: activity that's been greatly slowed down thanks to the pandemic.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Backups at the ports and charges of goods have been
- 33:34Speaker 1: holding back the US recovery. So he says, some things
- 33:37Speaker 1: have to be paneled differently. The world has changed prior
- 33:40Speaker 1: to the crisis. They focus on lean, efficient supply chains,
- 33:45Speaker 1: leaving no buffer or margin of error when it comes
- 33:48Speaker 1: to certain parts of arrhyming just in time. But that's
- 33:52Speaker 1: got to change. Mister Biden says he's made a deal
- 33:54Speaker 1: with two California ports that together handle about forty percent
- 33:57Speaker 1: of the container traffic that enters this huntry. He says
- 34:00Speaker 1: the reports have agreed to double their hours schedule, workshifts
- 34:03Speaker 1: around the clock, and the Commander chief also urging the
- 34:06Speaker 1: rest of the private sector to step up if it can.

- 34:21Speaker 1: Department Civil Rights Division. The Department of Justice is committed
- 34:25Speaker 1: to protecting the rights of children who end up in
- 34:29Speaker 1: such facility. The probe is going to be conducted by
- 34:31Speaker 1: career attorneys from the Civil Rights Division as well as
- 34:34Speaker 1: the US Attorney's offices in Texas. A. G. Clark says
- 34:37Speaker 1: the decision to investigate all this based on an extensive
- 34:40Speaker 1: review of news reports and other reports, public documents, and
- 34:43Speaker 1: discussions with advocates and family members. The world get this, everybody.
- 34:48Speaker 1: The World Health Organization has finally honored Henrietta Lacks, the
- 34:51Speaker 1: black American woman from Virginia whose cancers cells were the
- 34:55Speaker 1: only human cells in history to reproduce outside the body.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Miss Lacks cells taken without her knowledge or consent in
- 35:01Speaker 1: the nineteen fifties, sold to research labs all over the
- 35:04Speaker 1: world to this day, ending up providing the foundation for
- 35:07Speaker 1: the polio vaccine and so many other scientific breakthroughs, including
- 35:11Speaker 1: research about the coronavirus. Henrietta Lax died of cervical cancer
- 35:15Speaker 1: in nineteen fifty one at age thirty one. Her cells
- 35:18Speaker 1: were taken from her at John Hopkins University. They remained
- 35:21Speaker 1: a cornerstone of modern medicine, but her children and descendants
- 35:25Speaker 1: never received one thin dime. The Lax family has just
- 35:28Speaker 1: this month instituted a suit and Benjamin Crump is their lawyer.
- 35:33Speaker 1: The union that represents the most behind most of those
- 35:35Speaker 1: behind the scenes film and TV crews says that the
- 35:37Speaker 1: sixty thousand members are going to go on strike on
- 35:39Speaker 1: Monday if they can't get a new contract. The strike
- 35:42Speaker 1: by the International Lines of Theatrical Stage employees would bring
- 35:44Speaker 1: much of Hollywood to a halt. And finally, yeah, more money.
- 35:50Speaker 1: He's super rich. Actor Nick Cannon's surprise seven students at
- 35:54Speaker 1: his alma Mottic Howard University by eliminating their outstanding ungraduate debt.
- 35:59Speaker 1: And the why is the candad says, Historically black colleges
- 36:01Speaker 1: and universities have played a pivotal role in developing some
- 36:05Speaker 1: of the brightest minds and influences of our time. So

- 44:54Speaker 1: to rock stops up on the scene with the dream
- 44:56Speaker 1: of a hardcore league, and the dream wasn't grabbing it

- 45:33Speaker 1: pressure down a couple of notches. Be hold on, brother,
- 45:36Speaker 1: because me and you already got a problem. Now my understanding.
- 45:39Speaker 1: Ill somebody using my instrumental on some kind of record
- 45:44Speaker 1: you got called if you was mine and all all

- 45:53Speaker 1: blood pressure down. I'm saying my brother pressure. Calm down.
- 45:57Speaker 1: All I'm saying to you will ain't nobody for the release,
- 46:00Speaker 1: no CD, no album. I'm using my music out. It
- 46:03Speaker 1: ain't fenning out. I understand who you will and all
- 46:06Speaker 1: the stuff you'dn't done in the path, but you ain't
- 46:08Speaker 1: gonna use my stuff though. Let me tak something anything
- 46:11Speaker 1: I ever gotten in my life in twenty years of recording,

- 46:17Speaker 1: You know who you're supposed to be representing, But anything
- 46:20Speaker 1: I do is always straight up. We do our music ourselves,
- 46:23Speaker 1: or if a producer i'm using, he does his thing,
- 46:26Speaker 1: I pay him or do whatever I gotta do. You're
- 46:29Speaker 1: calling me, I don't even know who you are, but
- 46:31Speaker 1: you need to calm down your blood pressure if you
- 46:33Speaker 1: want to continue this conversation where we can get to
- 46:35Speaker 1: some kind of figuring out of who you are and
- 46:37Speaker 1: what you're talking about, because you want to yell at
- 46:39Speaker 1: me and try to do that. I don't. I don't
- 46:41Speaker 1: go for yelling and intimidation. I ain't one of these
- 46:44Speaker 1: young dudes out there. So if you don't bring your
- 46:45Speaker 1: blood pressure down, then I'm gonna have a problem. My

- 46:52Speaker 1: real problem. Do you feel what I'm saying to you.
- 46:54Speaker 1: I understand everything that you're saying to me. All I'm

- 47:49Speaker 1: You ain't Bobby Woomacks. How could it be your music?
- 47:51Speaker 1: The interpretation of the music was from Bobby Woolmack. Hey, brother, Now,
- 47:55Speaker 1: I don't know if you're the one that stole my music.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I don't know if it was your boy can Out

- 48:43Speaker 1: got a problem with that be and I'll handle it
- 48:45Speaker 1: with you. I'm not new young, I don't make records.

- 48:49Speaker 1: come see you so we can sit down, eye the eye,

- 49:25Speaker 1: that you're trying to get me to go past the
- 49:27Speaker 1: line of sensibility that goes to youngans. Now, like I

- 53:56Speaker 1: You never know it could be yours, all right, Smuckle
- 54:00Speaker 1: up and hold on tight. We got it for you. Here.
- 54:02Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter subject, I want that old
- 54:06Speaker 1: thing back, all right. Dear Stephen Shirley, My wife and
- 54:10Speaker 1: I have been married for twenty two years. Before the
- 54:13Speaker 1: past four years we've lived apart. We talked about divorce,
- 54:17Speaker 1: but we never did it. It's very weird, but we
- 54:20Speaker 1: fell into a pattern of co parenting and just never
- 54:24Speaker 1: filed for divorce. Every holiday she invites me over so
- 54:28Speaker 1: our family can be together. Every Christmas, I sleep in
- 54:31Speaker 1: the guest room and wake up, cook breakfast, and then
- 54:34Speaker 1: we watch our kids open present. It's not until recently
- 54:38Speaker 1: that I'm seeing my wife in a different light. We
- 54:41Speaker 1: got married when we were twenty four, and I was
- 54:44Speaker 1: still immature and selfish. Now that I'm older, I see
- 54:48Speaker 1: my wife in a position of authority, leading a household
- 54:52Speaker 1: without me, and it kills me inside. I want so
- 54:56Speaker 1: badly to just apologize and go back home, but my
- 55:00Speaker 1: pride gets in the way. I fear rejection too, because
- 55:04Speaker 1: the children told me she's dating. She's got her hair
- 55:08Speaker 1: cut short, and she's still got her twenty four year
- 55:10Speaker 1: old figure, and she dresses very nicely. I don't want
- 55:14Speaker 1: her to forget about me and move on, so I
- 55:17Speaker 1: made up reasons to see her without the children. I
- 55:21Speaker 1: asked her to come to my office to discuss our
- 55:23Speaker 1: oldest child's college tuition, and she came in, smelling good
- 55:27Speaker 1: and looking like a movie star. All eyes were on her,
- 55:32Speaker 1: and for a second I was proud to call her
- 55:35Speaker 1: my wife. She quickly reminded me that we are estranged
- 55:39Speaker 1: and I no longer have any privileges. The day after,
- 55:43Speaker 1: I went to our middle school's band competition and my
- 55:47Speaker 1: wife's new boyfriend was with her. I set far away
- 55:51Speaker 1: from them because this cut like a knife. Recently, I
- 55:55Speaker 1: got enough courage to tell her to call her to
- 55:59Speaker 1: see if if she'd be interested in patching things up,
- 56:02Speaker 1: and she let me know she has moved on and
- 56:05Speaker 1: we need to file for divorce for real. This time
- 56:08Speaker 1: I cried, but she was cold as ice. I can't
- 56:12Speaker 1: lose her. What do I do now? Well, it looks
- 56:17Speaker 1: like you already lost her, and she's so much as
- 56:19Speaker 1: told you that, and you don't say what causes separation.
- 56:24Speaker 1: Four years ago you just talked about there was talk
- 56:27Speaker 1: about divorce but never filed. And for four years you
- 56:31Speaker 1: both have been just dealing with this situation for the
- 56:34Speaker 1: sake of the kid. So you say, until now, you
- 56:39Speaker 1: never mentioned, like I said, what causes separation. But I'm
- 56:43Speaker 1: thinking you cheated because you say you have something to
- 56:46Speaker 1: apologize for, but your pride won't let you. Now, all
- 56:49Speaker 1: of a sudden, your wife is looking like a movie star.
- 56:52Speaker 1: She's a boss, smelling good, she has her twenty four
- 56:55Speaker 1: year old figure bag, she's got her short haircut. You
- 56:59Speaker 1: also said you were selfish and immature when you were
- 57:03Speaker 1: married at twenty four, and that's another reason I think
- 57:05Speaker 1: you cheated. But now that you're older, you see your
- 57:08Speaker 1: wife in a different life. Well, I mean that's understandable.
- 57:12Speaker 1: Because people do change and people do grow, and your
- 57:15Speaker 1: wife is aging like fine wine. Apparently it sounds like
- 57:21Speaker 1: you're stuck and can't move forward because you say you're
- 57:24Speaker 1: afraid of rejection and just too prideful to do what
- 57:27Speaker 1: you need to do. I think it's because the kids
- 57:31Speaker 1: told you your wife is dating. Okay, your wife is dating,
- 57:34Speaker 1: So now you're getting all these feelings about you don't
- 57:37Speaker 1: want to lose her. You feel like another man is
- 57:39Speaker 1: taking your place, so of course that makes you want
- 57:42Speaker 1: her more. You realize what you lost now. But unfortunately,
- 57:46Speaker 1: your wife told you she's moved on. She wants to
- 57:49Speaker 1: file for divorce. Sounds like you need to move on too.
- 57:52Speaker 1: I mean, you could give it another shot, no risk,
- 57:54Speaker 1: no reward, but sounds like she's made up her mind.
- 57:58Speaker 1: And that's about the end of that. Steve, Well, dog
- 58:06Speaker 1: came to the right place. The only thing about coming
- 58:10Speaker 1: to me with the letter like this is being a man.
- 58:15Speaker 1: I know exactly what he's really saved. Now what you typed,
- 58:19Speaker 1: it's all cut and but bro, that ain't really. That
- 58:25Speaker 1: ain't really was happening. And we're just gonna have to
- 58:28Speaker 1: be honest with you if you want Uncle Steve's help.
- 58:33Speaker 1: I don't know that I can, because you've ignored something
- 58:36Speaker 1: for a while. You've been married twenty two years, but
- 58:42Speaker 1: the last four y'all been living apart. Y'all talked about divorce,
- 58:45Speaker 1: but you never did. But every holiday she invites you
- 58:49Speaker 1: over so the family can be together, and every Christians
- 58:52Speaker 1: you're sleep in the guest room and wake up, cook
- 58:54Speaker 1: breakfast and watch your kids open presence. And then you say,
- 58:59Speaker 1: not until recently that I started seeing my wife in
- 59:02Speaker 1: a different light. We got married when we were twenty four,
- 59:05Speaker 1: So you've been married twenty two years. That means you're
- 59:07Speaker 1: forty six now and I'm still and you were twenty
- 59:11Speaker 1: four and I was still immature and selfish. Now that
- 59:16Speaker 1: I'm older, I see my wife in a position of authority,
- 59:20Speaker 1: leading a household without me, and it kills me inside.
- 59:25Speaker 1: Oh so now you realize, as a lot of men
- 59:31Speaker 1: do families every day. I got you, though. I want
- 59:36Speaker 1: so badly to just apologize and go back home. And
- 59:40Speaker 1: here's the reason we have this whole letter. I wanted
- 59:45Speaker 1: so badly to apologize and go back home, but my
- 59:48Speaker 1: pride gets in the way. The Bible says pride cometh
- 59:56Speaker 1: before fall. You will see the fall in this letter,
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: and you will understand it was caused by pride. When
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: we come back, I will show you what he considers
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: to be pride, and I'm going to tell you that
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: it's something else. All right, all right, Steve, hang on
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: to that thought. We'll have parst two of your response
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: at twenty three minutes after the hour Today's Strawberry letter,
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: subject I want that old thing back. We'll get back
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening Morning show, all right,
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I want that old thing back. Well, yeah you do, dog,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: but you didn't appreciate it when it was a new thing,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: and you didn't do it right when it was your thing.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: Now it's becoming old thing, and we have a situation
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: now you want it back, right? Married twenty two years
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: passed four, they lived apart. They celebrate holidays together. She
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: calls him over to the house. He sleeps in the
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: guest room. On Christmas, they wake up and they watch
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: your kids open up the presence together, and then all
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: of that right there, and then he says, not too recently,
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: I'm seeing my wife in a different light. We got
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: married when we were twenty four. I was still immature
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: and selfish. So now I'm older. He's forty six. Now,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: by the way, folks, because he's been married twenty two years.
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: That got married twenty four. I see my wife leading
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: a household without me, and it kills me inside. Here's
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: the reason we have this letter. I want so badly
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: to just apologize and go back home, but my pride
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: gets in the way. I said, there as a scripture
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: that said pride cometh before a fall. Now, the four
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: years of not filing for divorce and this pride you have,
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: you want so badly to go back and apologize, but
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: you just your pride get in a way. Well, now
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: the fall is occurring, sir, And exactly what he's pride? Everybody,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: what is this thing about men? Sometimes that prohibits us
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: from doing what's the right thing and watching something occur,
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: knowing what would fix it. But your pride gets in
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: the way. Well, let me tell you what pride is.
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: And then he says, I fear rejection too. Now he's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: trying to be honest, but this pride is a part
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: of that. See the reason he don't want to be
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: rejected is could it be because he does the reject
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: it and now he don't want the roles reversed. You know,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: you do what you want to do, but then when
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: it's time for you to do what you have to do.
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Oh my god, shes you call that pride. Okay, bro,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: I go with you. And then he says, I fear
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: rejection too, because the children told me she's been dating.
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: She got a new hair cut short, and she still
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: got her twenty four year old figure, and she dresses
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: very nicely. Okay, dog, when she got the new haircut.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: You can't see this coming. Let me tell you something, fellas.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: When you see your woman in the gym, when you
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: see your woman with a new hair cut, when you
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: see your woman going on about her business, you better
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: sit up and take new this. If she don't ask
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: you how you like my hair, if she don't never
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: mention to you why she working out, it ain't for you, player,
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: it ain't for you. And I want so badly to
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: go back home, but I don't want to apologize because
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: my pride gets in the way. So now here's what happened.
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: I don't want her to forget about me and move on,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: So I made up reason to see her without the children.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: So YEAH said, to come down to the office, discuss
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: your oldest child's children college juition. She could show up,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: hair cut, short, smelling good, body banging like a twenty
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: four year old. Come in the office. Everybody notices her.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: He proud to call all her my wife. But then
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: she told your arm, we are strange. You ain't got
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: no privilege. How did she say it? We are strange,
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: You ain't got no privilege. You stop telling people I'm
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: your wife. Now you look at stupid down at your
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: little office. See just that pride, old dumb ass pride,
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: the finest woman in the world is your ex on
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: the arms of another man, blew and pimple. And now
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: you're watching it. But we ain't got there yet, But
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: we do. Right after this, though, the day after, the
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: day after, I went to our middle child's band competition,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: and my wife's new boyfriend was with her. I sat
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: far away from them because this cut like a night.
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: So I got enough courage to call her to see it.
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: Now here we go. Now he got courage. Now see
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: a minute ago it was pride, right, Pride is ignorance, man,
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: And so now you got enough courage to call her
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: to see if she'd be interested in patching things up.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: And just like she did when she came up to
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the office, let you know she did. You don't have
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: no more privileges and stop calling you meet your wife.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: She told you she had moved on, and we need
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: to file for divorce for real this time. Because the
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: boyfriend was saying, well, if y'all ain't going to divorce,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: why don't y'all just get divorced? Because I won't you,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I cried, but she was cold as ice. We're a
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: little bit too late for the tears. Darg w the
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: whole Excuse me? Didn't you say your pride got it?
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: What did your crime for? What happened that pride? See
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: what that say? I can't lose her? Shirley said that
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: you've already can't lose. Huh. Then who did you see
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: at the band competition? You think he ain't said nothing
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: about the haircut and the little banging body? What do
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: I do now? Well, dog, I think you've done what
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: you're gonna do. You waited four years. You took too long.
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: You thought she was just gonna sit over that hold
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: of fine self. And what nobody else gonna want on. Bro,
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: you may be too late, homie, all right, and you
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: let your pride get in the way. We gotta go.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve HARVEYFM
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry Letter
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: podcast on demand coming up at forty six minutes after
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: the hour from the Talk our Girl, Cheryl Underwood. Right
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: come on, introduce our girl from the Talk Ladies. Gentlemen,
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: put your hands together. She's here with her all the
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: way from CBS and the Talk Ladies, and gentlemen, Schill Underwood.
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Thank you, Stay Harving man. I'm so happy right now
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: because you know, things are going really, really good. But
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: I got a question for you, Steve, I got a
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: question for you, Okay. Question is is it or was
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: it more fun to be a comic back in the
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: day than it is now? And the reason I'm asking
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: this question is back in the day, you know, we
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: had tours. You know, first we started we came up
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: in the clubs, right we could open for other people
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: and stuff. Then we would go maybe the sitcoms, then movies.
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: You know, but we didn't have social media the way
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: they have. So would you rather start? And this question
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: for Tommy Junior too, would you want to be a
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: comic now and start or do you like it that
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: we started back in the day because you can talk
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: about anything back in the day, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: And handcuffs were off and we were free to do
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: what we were born to do, and that is to
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: make light of all subjects. The political climate has killed it,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: and we see it in terms of the backlash that
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: Dave Chappelle is getting. The beauty of Dave Chappelle is
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: he can't get no backlash. He's not attached to your
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: corporate sponsorship dollars. He's attached to subscription fees and Netflix
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: don't give it back. How you feeling love? Yeah? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: because the more you talk about it, the more they
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: want to watch. Right, But sick of this? This hurt
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: my feeling thing? How many black jokes out and heard?
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, it's stuff that hurt black people feelings
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: all the time. Who has uproar when they're taking voting
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: rights and all is here for Asian hate? Well that's that,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: you know, it's uproar, anybody canceling nothing, you know, it's
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: just it's amazing to me. I don't care. But back
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: in the day, it seemed to be more fun, right,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: because it seems to be more fun to be a comic.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Huh say it again? And you and Steve are even
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: way before me and Junior. So y'all, y'all have it
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: even more fun the joy? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, you
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: don't even understand in nineteen eighty five what was thought
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: of then as a sexually transmitted disease. That was my
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: opening joke. Yeah, that joke today would cost me the
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: career that I built. Yep, that's that's great. Yea, yeah
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: it is. But the whole audience holland laughing at it.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: I'm talking about stomping, stopping, stay stop, all right, all right, Cheryl,
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: thank you so much. And that's a good question. What't
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: s describe question? I enjoyed it. I did, all right.
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Junior is
- 1:09:55Speaker 1: here with Sports talk. Right after this you're listening to
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: harp more. All right, guys, it is time for Junior
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: and sports Talk. What you got Junior, Oh, Shirley, have
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: y'all heard about Herschel Walker. What has he done? Not
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: if you want to if you want to castle somebody,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: here's somebody we can cast. It is Herschel Walker. Herschel Walker.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: He's a US Senate hopeful right Herschey's tried to get
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: to the Senate. He had to call off a Texas
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: fundraiser Wednesday after the event organizer displayed a group of
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: syringers arranged in the form of a swastika in his
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: in her Twitter profile picture to protest vaccine mandate. Okay,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: this is he was raising money with. Well as you
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: know Herschel it is. And here's the response he gave
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: his team Gay Herschel is a strong friend of the
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: Israel and Jewish community and opposes his hatred and bigotry
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: of all form. So I just don't know what Herschel
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: is over here, thinking like he may not even knew
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: that was a swatsen. He probably didn't know it was
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: in the form of syringes though, So what is said?
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: Symbolists of what is stay saying I don't know Man's
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: gonna run anyway? Run I can do that one two
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: hYP scorn rum. I don't even know man now. Also
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: at other sports, dudes on Husher Walker and I've been
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: running for logs. Yeah, I ran for the Cowboys, I
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: ran for the Vikings. Nah, I for trump Man, but
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: other sports dudes. Man, this this John Glue thing is
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: really shaking up the NFL right now. You know, uh,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: Mary Smith, who is the president of the NFL Players Association,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: is asking that all the emails from the Washington football
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: team that included groups emails, all of them be released
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: because they're trying to see their direct correlation between that
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: and black head coaches being high in the NFL. That
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: type of coach. He was emailing somebody and somebody was responding.
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: So he ain't the only one. No, no, he's not
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: the only one. I mean. And it's crazy, man. Because
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: they had a press conference for the Las Vegas Raiders yesterday,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: Derek Carr said, you know what, we're gonna open up
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: John bruten emails. When we open up everybody emails and
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: all the coaches and all the gms. Now see that
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: that's not let's take it too far. That's not what
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: this is about, because you know what, it's the fact
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: that it's not that he wrote the email, it's the
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: fact that it was about a black man, and y'all
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: didn't even want to fire him. Then it was until
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: he said everything else, now we gotta little go. So
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: now we gotta we got a problem. Now Is this
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: how he really is? And who else is in the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: NFL liking here? Here's the situation. John Gruten is not
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: an isolated case. This conversation is going on in country clubs,
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: in backboard. But this conversation is going on all the time.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I'm not even I'm not even remotely surprised at any
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: of this. It's some of the young people on social media.
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: Oh my god, I can't believe. I can I've just
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: seen it. I know what's happening. That's why all this
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: political correctness mess right here. Y'all can take this, pack
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: it up and stick it in your cause I'm concerned.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: No really, because no, sis now, I'm dead serious. No,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: they can take all of that and pack it up.
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: And they because I know where this is coming from.
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: You all don't understand if they're trying to tell you
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: about systemic racism, you act like it don't exist. It's
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: everywhere in this society, and the last administration made it
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: just easy to come out in the forefront. I don't
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: care nothing about this dude's emails. I don't give a
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: damn what he typed because let me tell you something,
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: that are millions of emails like this, and if they
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: in an email, they're in a conversation, y'all, man, because
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: it's an email, they steal talking about it, and they
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: still doing it. And this is why you have the
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: problems you have in this society. So I'm not I'm
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: not upset about John Gruden. Gruten, he that's nothing. He
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: a football coach and that's all. But this conversation is
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: in the White House. Yeah, but a lot of people
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: don't know that this kind of thing was going on.
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: So I think it's good that it came out. It's
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: fine that it come out, But I'm trying to figure
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: out where the shot keep coming from. Well, y'all get
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: rid of Governor Chromo. Y'all got rid of yo O'Riley,
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: y'alling got rid of he man. Please coming up more
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:14:50Speaker 1: So Ray Jay's back in the news. He's been released
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: from a Miami hospital. He's going to continue his recovery
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: at home now. Ray Jay was admitted earlier this month
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: and his doctor's discovered he had pneumonia and it was
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: assumed that he had COVID too. He tested negative for COVID,
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: but he was really scared. At one point he reported
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: that he thought he was going to die. Hopefully he
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: will take it easy and take care of himself before
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: he goes back to his busy schedule and it's constant
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: travel um in this particular statement, no word on whether
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: you know he's going to file for divorce again now
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: that he's home. Probably need to wait till you feel bad. Yeah,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: just wait, listen to me. People, stop making sick ass decisions.
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Wait till your health to lead up. Yeah, stop yourself
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: back together, get your appetite back till you get taste
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: and smell again. You know, I'm walking around. Go outside,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: see some trees for a minute before you start making decision.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: Just had a strawberry letter today, A bout a man
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to let a fan woman go. That's right. Now he
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: regrets it and once they're back, this is this third
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: time filing for it. Hey, you have to hear one another.
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: Stop listening to a person waiting on them to get
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: talk so you can say what else you gotta say,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: start hearing what the person is saying. That's right, I
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: gotta go. Coming up more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Show at thirty three minutes after. Right after this, you're
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Steve, did you hear that
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: ninety year old actor William Shatner, we know him as
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: Captain Kirk from Star Trek, officially became the oldest person
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: in space, finally went up there. Anybody, he wouldn't go
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: over the news? Would you go out and space and
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: experience wait listeners and all of that. Yeah, it's just
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: it's not that long. Yeah, they only go up in
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: their space seconds. Fight for quality on Earth. I'm not
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: saying nowhere else. And see how we get treated up
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: the Wold. I don't think up there and it's nothing
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: but black people. See that might be nice to see
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: a bunch of black people. Yeah, already, No, that's not
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: the case. Yeah. The Blue Origin, anybody going up in
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: damn space? The Blue Origin successfully launched Shatner and three
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: others to the edge of space yesterday. It was a
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: ten minute trip. It landed smoothly, in the West Texa desert,
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: and mister Shatner said the experience was indescribable. He added,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: everybody in the world needs to do this. Everybody in
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: the world needs to see this. I am so filled
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: with emotion with what just happened. He got a little tiriot,
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: he got a little choked up, you know when he
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: was talking about it when he came back years old. Yeah,
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: I realized he was ninety. Wow. Yeah, everybody, Well be careful.
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: Captain Shelley's got you your name and him, would you stop?
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: We are moving on And other news, Kim Kardashian is
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: putting all of those reconciliation rumors to rest her divorce
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: from Kanye is still cut happening. It's still gonna happen.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: And to prove it, she just brought out Kanye's half
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: of their sixty million dollars compound in the Hidden Hills
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: area of Los Angeles. So where do you guys see
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: Kanye living right now? To another arena. It's kind of
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: hard when you say to a listening audience that we
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: have Kanye loses one of his houses. When people sitting
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: up in here got one house, they don't really care.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: When a celebrity lose especially stay another one. Yeah, move
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: around and what kind of where she buy out half
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: your man stop Cardi b is not Homeless. To celebrate
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: her twenty ninth birthday and as a push gift thank
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: you gift for the birth of their son, Cardie's husband Offset,
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: bought her a brand new home. She had a big
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: birthday party. It was trending all over social media Monday night,
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: and Offset showed a video of the home, which is
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: secluded by palm trees and has a rooftop pool. All
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: of that. The home is located in the dr in
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: the Dominican Republic. And just a sweet gesture, just a
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: real sweet gesture buying her house. Wow, I think it
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: was like one and a half million something like that.
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: Coming up, it is our last break of the day,
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: and of course we will have some closing remarks from
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: the one and only, our fearless leader, Steve Harvey right
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Morning show. Here we are a
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: last break of the day on this Thursday. It's been
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: a good day. Thank you to Bobby Brown who called earlier. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: you know something gets a very serious investic violence the
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: Bobby Christina Serenity house that opened in twenty fifteen with
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: him and his wife Alicia, to give a safe place
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: and to open up the awareness of domestic violence because
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: he lost his daughter today. Yep. And for more information
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: you can go to Bobby Christina Serenityhouse dot org. Steve,
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: I'm listening to the uproar of this John Gruden controversy
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: and his emails and the statements he's made. He's made
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: their off color remarks, the racist statements, the sexist remarks,
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: and I'm just listening to the uproar that the country
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: is in and the surprise. And as a sixty four
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: year old black man, can I tell you something? Take
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: these surprise looks off your face. Stop acting like, oh
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: my god, you're appalled by this? How could he? Do
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: you know what's really going on in this world today?
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: Do you really really understand the hypocrisy that we deal
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: with on a daily basis in this country? Do you
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: understand the true facedness of what really happens on a
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: daily basis. You just happen to get your hands on
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: some emails. Now you want the rest of them. You
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: want to go back all these years, y'all? Do you
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: know what people are saying? About other people all the time.
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: It's just now, in this political correct society we live in,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: in this cancel culture, if we find out you said it,
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: here comes the real action. Well, I can tell you
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: for a fact that should have been reactions. And you
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: all think by canceling and killing the one man's career
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: that that's gonna solve it, Well it ain't. It ain't
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: because can I tell you something. You're gonna have to
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: get rid of everybody's job. You're gonna have to get
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: rid of politics. You're gonna have to get rid of
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: the Senate. You're gonna have to get rid of the House.
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: You're gonna have to get rid of the police department.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: You're gonna have to get that rid of half the
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: professors we got. You're gonna have to get rid of
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: a lot of the student body. You're gonna have to
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: stop people from being parents. You're gonna have to close
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: down so many organizations. Y'all not willing to do that.
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: This is America, the greatest country on earth. The opportunities
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: here are endless. But you do remember how this country
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: was built. I was watching Joe Rogan's a podcast he
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: has or something. He was talking about how America's the
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: greatest nation in how America was the first nation that
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: was born out of freedom and was one of the
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: few nations that was born without a dictatorship ever in
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: the history of the world. Most countries were a dictatorship
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: until America came along with freedom. And I love Joe
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: or Joe Rogan stand up, but I wanted to scream
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: at Joe Rogan and say, wait a minute, did you
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: say this country was built on freedom? This country was
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: built by slaves. America is what it is because of slavery.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: So so much for democracy and so much for America
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: being one of the first nations to ever to ever
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: come along without a dictatorship. That s true statement until
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: it was time to build the country. So you all,
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: as sixty four years old, excuse me why I'll not
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: be as shocked as everybody else, as surprised as John Brute.
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: Because the problem we have in our society today with
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: news and stories like this is we no longer fact check.
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: We know and I'm not saying that what John Gruten's
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: emails are not factuals. So follow what I'm saying here.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: We no longer fact check like it used to be
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: in a newspaper article, you had to fact check it
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: before you printed it. We're in a different society now.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Everybody just wants to be first with the story, and
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: they don't give a damn if the story is true
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: or not. They don't care who the story affects. They
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: don't care the families they get hurt by it. They
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: don't care nothing about your children, just as long as
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: they are the first one to release the story so
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: they can get eyeballs on their site. I knew this
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: country was heading for this demise and this part of it.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: When seeing In started having a blog, I said, oh,
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: they got a problem now, because blogs used to just
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: be for just gossip. But everybody got a blog now.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: Seeing In got a blog, Fox News got a blog,
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: ABC got a blog. Everybody has a blog because you
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: know what, they get eyeballs and that's all they care
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: about now. So all of us this sudden care about
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: our country and how we look and up here, excuse
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: me when you pull the curtain back. This country don't
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: care no more for nobody else than it's been caring
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: for nobody else. And stop expecting this country that all
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: of a sudden care about you. Oh when them employees
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: ran up in that Netflix office and found out that
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Netflix care more about their money than your feelings. That
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: didn't send a message to y'all. I was not surprised
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: at all. I'm not. The reason Dave Chappelle is free,
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: y'all is because Dave Chappelle ain't tied to no sponsorship.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: And Dave Chappelle right now, it's one probably the greatest
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: stand up walking today because of his freedom. But y'all
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: want to take that from me. Y'all want him to
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: freely be able to say what y'all think? What's trust
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: the matter? Why are you kidding me? Y'all? I could
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: talk about this forever. Y'all have a great day. Man,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: Stop being surprised at the hypocrisy of this country because
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: it's not going anywhere. Get in touch with your heavily
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: father and get your slice of peace and happiness enjoy
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: from God. Those are my closing remarks. Have a great days.
