Speaker 1: You may remember a guy by the name of John Brennan.
0:03
Speaker 1: He's a guy that came up with some amazing theories
0:07
Speaker 1: about Donald Trump and conspiracy theories about Trump Russia, Russia collusion.
0:13
Speaker 1: All things he knew were lies trying to well undermine
0:17
Speaker 1: Donald Trump and influenced the last election. We also know
0:21
Speaker 1: that he said some pretty outlandish things, for example, about
0:24
Speaker 1: Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. You may remember when they
0:27
Speaker 1: met in Alaska. John Brennan speculated on this.
0:31
Speaker 2: So I think you could see on Putin's face he
0:33
Speaker 2: felt very, very comfortable, and the fact that he was
0:36
Speaker 2: given a ride then in the presidential limousine the Beast.
0:39
Speaker 2: I certainly hope the Secret Service has swept that vehicle
0:42
Speaker 2: very well in terms of any type of small microchip
0:46
Speaker 2: that might have been put in the in the vehicle.
0:48
Speaker 2: But then in the press conference, Putin looked chipper, he
0:52
Speaker 2: looked upbeat.
0:54
Speaker 1: There's the conspiracy theory himself, the man that loves to
0:58
Speaker 1: spread these things, John Brennan, speculating his expertise right as
1:03
Speaker 1: a former leader in the Deep State, that Vladimir Plutin
1:07
Speaker 1: planted a microchip in Trump's presidential limo during their short
1:11
Speaker 1: ride together on the tarmac. John Brennan also made it
1:16
Speaker 1: very clear that if you think that his now criminal
1:20
Speaker 1: referral is somehow based in fact, oh no it is not.
1:25
Speaker 1: This is all because of Donald Trump. And Donald Trump
1:30
Speaker 1: is a guy that is coming after me, trying to
1:34
Speaker 1: intimidate me. And I'm not going to be intimidated by
1:38
Speaker 1: the Trump or his administration.
1:41
Speaker 3: I know you're not gonna like this question because you
1:43
Speaker 3: and tel people to like talk about yourselves and all
1:46
Speaker 3: of that. But I'm curious how you're doing and how
1:48
Speaker 3: your family is doing, because these moments are you know,
1:51
Speaker 3: We've talked to Miles Taylor, We've talked to Michael Feinberg,
1:55
Speaker 3: people who are in the crosshairs of these kinds of
2:01
Speaker 3: possible investigations and how it changes your entire life and
2:05
Speaker 3: how you and your family can operate.
2:07
Speaker 4: So how are you well.
2:08
Speaker 2: I'm glad that Jim Comy put out that video statement
2:10
Speaker 2: the other night where he said that they're not going
2:12
Speaker 2: to live on their knees his family and others shouldn't
2:15
Speaker 2: as well. I'm not going to be intimidated by the
2:17
Speaker 2: likes of Donald Trump. I have always tried to speak
2:21
Speaker 2: my mind and do what I thought was right, and
2:23
Speaker 2: clearly there is a corruption and a perversion of the
2:28
Speaker 2: justice system right now within the executive branch. And so
2:31
Speaker 2: I don't know what may be coming my way, but
2:34
Speaker 2: I'm not going to do things that are inconsistent with
2:37
Speaker 2: my ethics and my values and what it is that
2:39
Speaker 2: I believe is important. I think more people have to
2:41
Speaker 2: speak out when they see injustice, when they see a
2:46
Speaker 2: government that is abusing its authority and its power.
2:49
Speaker 4: I think more and more.
2:50
Speaker 2: People have to speak out.
2:51
Speaker 5: And I'm waiting for those Republicans in Congress to come
2:53
Speaker 5: to their senses because the damage that's being done to
2:56
Speaker 5: this country and the dangerous times that we're in, I
2:59
Speaker 5: think too many Americans do not appreciate the extent of that.
3:03
Speaker 2: And certainly I think we're in for even choppier waters it.
3:06
Speaker 4: Talking about chompier waters ahead.
3:10
Speaker 1: Now you notice the media there trying to turn him
3:13
Speaker 1: into some sort of victim there.
3:15
Speaker 4: In that interview.
3:17
Speaker 1: John Brennan on classified documents, for example, he had this to.
3:21
Speaker 6: Say, is here a director Brennan, let me start with you.
3:25
Speaker 6: Bryan Goodman of Just Security tweeted this quote. I expect
3:29
Speaker 6: this will result in espionage Act Charges dissemination is key.
3:34
Speaker 6: That was his response to this new Washington Post reporting
3:38
Speaker 6: Do you think he has a point? Do you see
3:40
Speaker 6: it that way?
3:41
Speaker 1: By the way, this is in reference to workers that
3:44
Speaker 1: move quote mar Lago boxes the day before the Justice
3:46
Speaker 1: Department came for those documents.
3:50
Speaker 4: So again, it's the guy.
3:51
Speaker 1: That wants you to believe that he's never done anything wrong,
3:54
Speaker 1: that he was never going after his political enemies, he
3:57
Speaker 1: never lied to Congress, He's got everything perfect. And this
4:00
Speaker 1: is a response to the President's home being rated. But
4:03
Speaker 1: first I got to ask you a question. Every so often,
4:06
Speaker 1: something happens that reminds us just how fragile our freedoms are.
4:10
Speaker 1: We can't afford to take our rights for granted. We
4:13
Speaker 1: must draw a line in the sand, and our friends
4:16
Speaker 1: at Patriot Mobile have been doing just that for more
4:19
Speaker 1: than twelve years. The truth is there is only one
4:23
Speaker 1: provider that boldly stands in the gap for Americans who
4:26
Speaker 1: believe freedom is worth fighting for, and that company is
4:29
Speaker 1: Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading the red economy,
4:33
Speaker 1: they're also outpacing the competition and technology. Patriot Mobile is
4:38
Speaker 1: one of the only carriers offering premium access to all
4:43
Speaker 1: three major US networks, giving you nationwide coverage and service
4:47
Speaker 1: that you can count on day after day. They also
4:50
Speaker 1: offer unlimited data plans, mobile hotspots, international roaming, internet backup,
4:56
Speaker 1: and so much more. And switching has never been easier.
5:00
Speaker 1: You can activate in minutes on your phone from your
5:03
Speaker 1: home or your office and you keep your same number.
5:05
Speaker 1: You've got now keep your same phone, or upgrade to
5:08
Speaker 1: a new one. And this is where the magic happens.
5:11
Speaker 1: Every month, about five percent of your bill is given
5:14
Speaker 1: back to conservative causes at no extra cost to you
5:18
Speaker 1: that stand up for our First and our Second Amendment rights,
5:21
Speaker 1: the rights of unborn children, and are wounded warriors and
5:24
Speaker 1: those that have fought for a country and wear a badge.
5:28
Speaker 1: So take a stand today and make a difference with
5:30
Speaker 1: every call you make.
5:32
Speaker 4: Patriot Mobile dot.
5:34
Speaker 1: Com slash ferguson or nine to seven to two Patriot.
5:39
Speaker 1: Use the promo code ferguson for a free month of
5:41
Speaker 1: service as well. That's Patriotmobile dot com slash ferguson or
5:47
Speaker 1: nine seven to two Patriot and make the switch and
5:50
Speaker 1: make a difference with every call you make.
5:52
Speaker 4: Again, this is the guy that wants you to.
5:54
Speaker 1: Believe that he's never done anything wrong, that he was
5:57
Speaker 1: never going after his political enemies, he never lied to
5:59
Speaker 1: congres He's done everything perfect. And this is a response
6:03
Speaker 1: to the present home being rated well.
6:05
Speaker 2: This certainly seems like more damning evidence. And if these
6:08
Speaker 2: reports are true, it's unsurprising given Donald Trump's lifelong disregard
6:14
Speaker 2: of the rules, disrespective law, and arrogant sense of entitlement
6:18
Speaker 2: in terms of he can do anything he wants. But
6:21
Speaker 2: now he is dealing with a very very serious issue,
6:24
Speaker 2: which is classified documents and obstruction of justice. And at
6:27
Speaker 2: least according to this report, there were efforts made right
6:31
Speaker 2: on the eve of this investigation on the part of
6:34
Speaker 2: FBI to obscure and to conceal evidence. And so it
6:39
Speaker 2: doesn't look very good for Donald Trump. Again, if all
6:41
Speaker 2: this evidence is mounting, and Jack Smith is a special
6:46
Speaker 2: counsel of the highest integrity with a dogged determination to
6:49
Speaker 2: find a truth in this matter, so it's clear that
6:52
Speaker 2: they have been quite active in this investigation.
6:55
Speaker 1: So there it is. That is just some of the
6:57
Speaker 1: history of John Brennan. I wanted to lay that down
7:01
Speaker 1: for you as a foundation so that we can now
7:04
Speaker 1: get to what has happened, and that is the new
7:07
Speaker 1: breaking news, the House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan has
7:12
Speaker 1: officially sent a referral letter to the US Department of
7:16
Speaker 1: Justice asking for a criminal prosecution of Brennan. The letter
7:21
Speaker 1: alleges that Brennan quote knowingly and willfully made false statements
7:27
Speaker 1: a material fact during his transcribed interview conducted by the
7:33
Speaker 1: Committee on May the eleventh of twenty twenty three. This
7:37
Speaker 1: is coming directly from the House Judiciary Committee. The alleged
7:41
Speaker 1: false statements relate to his testimony about the role of
7:44
Speaker 1: the Steele Dossier in the twenty seventeen Intelligence Assessment, the
7:49
Speaker 1: Intelligence Community Assessment, or the ICA on the Russian election interference. Again,
7:54
Speaker 1: this is all coming directly from the House Judiciary Committee.
7:58
Speaker 1: The referral points to the Federal Statute eighteen USC. One
8:03
Speaker 1: thousand and one False Statements to Congress as a proposed
8:07
Speaker 1: basis for the criminal liability. Now, let me just explain
8:11
Speaker 1: to you in layman's terms, what this really is all about.
8:15
Speaker 1: It's that John Brennan knew that the Still dossier and
8:19
Speaker 1: all of this connection between Donald Trump and Russia was
8:23
Speaker 1: a fabricated, made up live The FBI had used the
8:27
Speaker 1: Still dossier to try to go somewhere with it, and
8:30
Speaker 1: what did they do. They even had it marked as
8:33
Speaker 1: user generated, meaning it was a lie. They even offered
8:36
Speaker 1: a million dollars to steal if he could corroborate anything
8:39
Speaker 1: in the Stee dosier. They never paid them the money
8:41
Speaker 1: because they knew he couldn't do it, and they knew
8:44
Speaker 1: that the Stile dossier was paid for by the Hillary
8:47
Speaker 1: Clinton campaign for president and the Democratic National Committee in
8:52
Speaker 1: twenty sixteen.
8:54
Speaker 4: Yet they weaponized it.
8:55
Speaker 1: They decided to use it to move forward, which brings
8:59
Speaker 1: us to Brennan. Now, he wants you to feel sorry
9:02
Speaker 1: for him, like he's being persecuted. So let's just go
9:06
Speaker 1: back through the overall timeline of the major events.
9:09
Speaker 4: This is what matters.
9:11
Speaker 1: January sixth of twenty seventeen, the intelligence community.
9:16
Speaker 4: The CIA, the FBI, the.
9:18
Speaker 1: NSA issued a declassified version of the ICA titled Assessing
9:24
Speaker 1: Russian Activities and Intentions in Recent US Elections. Again, this
9:30
Speaker 1: is coming from the House Judiciary Committee. May the twenty
9:33
Speaker 1: third of twenty seventeen, Brennan testified before the House Permanent
9:39
Speaker 1: Select Committee on Intelligence at an open hearing on Russian
9:44
Speaker 1: active measures during the twenty sixteen election. Campaign and made
9:49
Speaker 1: statements about the Stile dossier. The referral letter points to
9:52
Speaker 1: his false statements in that earlier hearing as part of
9:56
Speaker 1: a broader pattern. You fast forward to May eleventh, twenty three,
10:01
Speaker 1: Brennan sat for a transcribed interview with the House Judiciary Committee.
10:06
Speaker 1: In that testimony, according to the referral letter, Brennan claimed
10:10
Speaker 1: the CIA was not I'm gonna say that again, the
10:14
Speaker 1: CIA was not involved at all with the Steele dossier.
10:19
Speaker 1: That is a direct quote from John Brennan in his
10:23
Speaker 1: testimony the House Judiciary Committee. Fast forward then to October
10:27
Speaker 1: the twenty first, twenty twenty five. Jim Jordan has now
10:32
Speaker 1: sent the referral letter the DOJ seeking criminal prosecution of
10:35
Speaker 1: Brennan based on the alleged false testimony that I just
10:41
Speaker 1: read for you. Now, let's go to exactly what is
10:46
Speaker 1: being alleged, and I'm going to go in order there
10:49
Speaker 1: so you understand that as well. False denial of the
10:53
Speaker 1: CIA involvement with the Steele dossier is clearly point number
10:58
Speaker 1: one in this referral laid out by the Chairman Jordan.
11:01
Speaker 1: Brennan testified that the CIA again was not quote unquote
11:04
Speaker 1: involved at all with the Steele dossier. They're now claiming
11:08
Speaker 1: that that is, obviously, based on his testimony.
11:11
Speaker 4: A lie.
11:12
Speaker 1: The referral letter claims this is contradicted by the declassified
11:17
Speaker 1: documents that actually show that the CIA officer drafted the
11:23
Speaker 1: ICA annex summarizing the dossier, so that would mean the
11:27
Speaker 1: CIA was involved and we have a summary of it
11:31
Speaker 1: from the CIA. Brennan also, along with the then FBI
11:36
Speaker 1: Director James Comey, made the decision to include information from
11:41
Speaker 1: the dossier in that ICA report.
11:44
Speaker 4: Brennan also overruled. We're being told senior.
11:47
Speaker 1: CIA officers who objected to the inclusion of the dossier
11:52
Speaker 1: material why because they knew it was user generated.
11:54
Speaker 4: They knew it was a lie.
11:55
Speaker 1: They knew it was paid for by the Hillary Clinton
11:57
Speaker 1: campaign and the Democratic National Committee. They knew that Michael
12:00
Speaker 1: Steele could not cooperate any of it for the million
12:03
Speaker 1: dollars they offered him, because if it was real, he
12:05
Speaker 1: would have taken the money. Brennan not only overalled the
12:09
Speaker 1: senior CIA officers, but that's where the politics was clearly
12:13
Speaker 1: coming in. The second part of this is the false
12:17
Speaker 1: testimony about the CIA opposition to the Steele dossier's inclusion.
12:25
Speaker 1: Brennan testified, right, I'm going to his words that the
12:29
Speaker 1: CIA quote was very much opposed to having any reference
12:34
Speaker 1: or inclusion of the dossier in the ICA. So again,
12:40
Speaker 1: this is another example of false testimony about the CIA
12:43
Speaker 1: opposition to the dossier's inclusion.
12:45
Speaker 4: According to the referral.
12:48
Speaker 1: Declassified CIA memos show the opposite of that claim. Brennan stated, quote,
12:55
Speaker 1: My bottom line is that I believe that the information
12:58
Speaker 1: warrants inclusion in the report and refuse to remove the
13:02
Speaker 1: dossier despite major concerns from high level CIA individuals. Then
13:09
Speaker 1: you also have what is referred to now as basically
13:12
Speaker 1: zero point three the pattern of miss statements. The referral
13:18
Speaker 1: argues that these false statements in twenty twenty three build
13:22
Speaker 1: on longer standing misstatements, including the twenty seventeen hearing, and
13:28
Speaker 1: thus support a referral for the criminal investigation. Now there's
13:32
Speaker 1: also important caveats that you need to understand here. The
13:36
Speaker 1: congression referral does not automatically mean an indictment.
13:40
Speaker 4: It is now up.
13:41
Speaker 1: To the Department of Justice if they are going to
13:43
Speaker 1: consider prosecution. Many referrals, by the way, do not lead
13:48
Speaker 1: to charges. So I want to put that out there
13:50
Speaker 1: because I think we should just be fair. Now, there's
13:53
Speaker 1: also legal experts that also say that it would be
13:56
Speaker 1: a hard prosecution because in essence, well it's ease and
14:00
Speaker 1: she said he's in charge.
14:01
Speaker 4: It is what it is.
14:02
Speaker 1: So you know, everybody should kind of calm down here
14:07
Speaker 1: and just relax a little bit.
14:09
Speaker 4: Now.
14:09
Speaker 1: John Brennan, by the way, is also a guy that
14:13
Speaker 1: has had a tendency, I think to mislead at best
14:17
Speaker 1: lie to the American people. A great example of that
14:22
Speaker 1: was the former CIA director John Brennan testifying about the
14:25
Speaker 1: Hunter Biden laptop. You may have forgotten that story, but
14:30
Speaker 1: that is also something here that needs to be talked about.
14:33
Speaker 4: Now.
14:34
Speaker 1: Before we get to that, let me also just say
14:35
Speaker 1: one other thing. In the letter to the Attorney General
14:38
Speaker 1: Pam Bondi on Tuesday went from Jim Jordan, the House
14:41
Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee chairman, referring the former CIA director Brennan to
14:45
Speaker 1: the Justice Department for allegedly making false statements to Congress.
14:48
Speaker 1: Not only is Jordan directly accusing Brendan of laing in
14:51
Speaker 1: his twenty twenty three Judiciary Committee testimony by denying that
14:55
Speaker 1: the CIA used the dossier in prepping the twenty seventeen
14:59
Speaker 1: Intelligence committ the assessment on the Russian election interference that
15:02
Speaker 1: he knew was a lie, but also falsely claiming that
15:05
Speaker 1: the CIA opposed including the dossier.
15:08
Speaker 4: The two points I just went over there.
15:10
Speaker 1: Now, the Steele dossier was a series of reports that
15:14
Speaker 1: were quote, detailing President Trump's alleged ties to Russia. It
15:18
Speaker 1: was compiled and delivered the FBI in sixteen by that
15:22
Speaker 1: former British intelligence agent Christopher Steele. In the letter, Jordan writes,
15:28
Speaker 1: he said, I led subsequent investigations confirmed quote that the
15:31
Speaker 1: Clinton campaign and the d NC paid Steele via the
15:35
Speaker 1: law firm of Perkins Coy and opposition research firm Fusing
15:40
Speaker 1: GPS to provide derogatory information about Trump's purported ties to Russia,
15:44
Speaker 1: which resulted into the discredited dossier. So they're laying out
15:49
Speaker 1: exactly what I'm now saying to you.
15:51
Speaker 4: In July.
15:52
Speaker 1: By the way of this summer, the Trump administration was
15:55
Speaker 1: very smart because they declassified the documents, which appeared to
16:00
Speaker 1: show that Brennan approved the decisions directly, which contradicts his
16:06
Speaker 1: own words that to use is steal dossier. Despite the
16:10
Speaker 1: objections of senior high ranking CIA officials. So again that's
16:14
Speaker 1: where the lie comes out. You declassify this, everybody sees it.
16:18
Speaker 4: Bam.
16:20
Speaker 1: Now I put all this together, and let me just
16:23
Speaker 1: go back to what I said a moment ago. This
16:26
Speaker 1: is a guy that has had no problem lying. And
16:30
Speaker 1: I also would say that there's others that have been
16:33
Speaker 1: a part of this and have lied as well. And
16:37
Speaker 1: you're starting to see the dots kind of connected here.
16:41
Speaker 1: You have a Komy by the way, James Comy, former
16:43
Speaker 1: REPI director, indicted for allegedly, you know, false statements, obstruction
16:46
Speaker 1: of congressional proceedings.
16:48
Speaker 4: So you have that.
16:50
Speaker 1: You have Christopher Ray refer to the DOJ overclaims he
16:54
Speaker 1: misled lawmakers on the Catholic memo and the China probes,
16:59
Speaker 1: and and now you have.
17:00
Speaker 4: The former CIA director.
17:02
Speaker 1: Now all of these people, plus James Clapper and John
17:05
Speaker 1: Brennan hitting at Trump's and attacking him, clearly hating.
17:09
Speaker 4: Him and wanting to bring him down.
17:12
Speaker 1: So there's a motive here, and then there's the evidence
17:15
Speaker 1: behind their motive. They never thought they were going to
17:17
Speaker 1: be held accountable for their actions. They never thought Donald
17:19
Speaker 1: Trump was ever going to get elected again. In fact,
17:21
Speaker 1: I think they actually thought their actions would put him
17:23
Speaker 1: in jail and bankrupt him. You go back to Christopher
17:28
Speaker 1: Ray for a second, and let's just remind you on
17:30
Speaker 1: that one. A Washington based government transparency watchdog group has
17:35
Speaker 1: referred the former FBI director Christopher Ray to the Department
17:39
Speaker 1: of Justice and the FBI, urging a criminal investigation to
17:42
Speaker 1: allegations and he made false statements of Congress and obstructed
17:45
Speaker 1: proceedings in two high profile cases. The Oversight Project president
17:50
Speaker 1: said that the group is specifically asking officials to examine
17:53
Speaker 1: Ray's congressional testimony on the so called Richmond Memo from
17:58
Speaker 1: the FBI office in virgin that exposed the anti Catholic
18:03
Speaker 1: bias there, and his testimony about a Chinese plot to
18:08
Speaker 1: disseminate illicit driver's license before the twenty twenty election. So,
18:13
Speaker 1: in July twenty twenty three, Ray testified before the House
18:17
Speaker 1: Judiciary Committee on the FBI Richmond Memo that had labeled
18:22
Speaker 1: Catholics as potential domestic threats, in other words, domestic terrorists. Well,
18:28
Speaker 1: what I can tell you is you're referring to the
18:30
Speaker 1: Richmond product, which is a single product by a single
18:34
Speaker 1: filled office, which as soon as I found out about it,
18:37
Speaker 1: I was AGAs and ordered it with draw and remove
18:39
Speaker 1: from FBI systems. That is what Ray said. Now, the
18:43
Speaker 1: oversight project alleged to the statement was ultimately ultimately misleading
18:48
Speaker 1: or false. Representative Tiffany, Republican from Wisconsin press Ray on
18:53
Speaker 1: the Richmond memo and so called Trump questionnaire which was
18:57
Speaker 1: circulated the FBI and asked about allegiances to the present
19:00
Speaker 1: and whether agents had attended any protests or rallies associated
19:05
Speaker 1: with the January sixth capital breach quote. We keep hearing
19:09
Speaker 1: about these isolated examples, whether it's Richmond, Catholics, this questionnaire.
19:13
Speaker 4: It's a pattern.
19:15
Speaker 1: Congressman Tiffany asked, So, you've got a lot happening now.
19:20
Speaker 4: Democrats are going to try to spend this.
19:23
Speaker 1: And I want to be clear, as this is Donald
19:26
Speaker 1: Trump going after his political enemies. I want to be
19:30
Speaker 1: clear my thoughts on this. This isn't about going after
19:34
Speaker 1: his political enemies. This is about holding those accountable who
19:39
Speaker 1: were in the highest positions of power who weaponize the
19:42
Speaker 1: United States government to try to take out their political enemy,
19:47
Speaker 1: and that person was Donald Trump. And they also went
19:50
Speaker 1: after their other political enemies like men and women whose
19:53
Speaker 1: mothers and fathers who were described as domestic terrorists if
19:57
Speaker 1: you went to a school board meeting. This is the
19:59
Speaker 1: same government that tried to turn Catholics against their own
20:03
Speaker 1: people into spy in their own churches, not mosque Catholics.
20:09
Speaker 1: So again this goes back to the basic question when
20:13
Speaker 1: you look at all of this now, is this actual
20:16
Speaker 1: political persecution or is this about accountability? I think there's
20:21
Speaker 1: no other way to look at it than it's straight
20:23
Speaker 1: up accountability. It is very clear now that it was intentional,
20:29
Speaker 1: It was targeted political spying that likely went to the
20:33
Speaker 1: very highest levels in the Biden administration, and there should
20:38
Speaker 1: be the broadest possible investigation and accountability for what Jack
20:43
Speaker 1: Smith and the Democrats were doing. We have learned a
20:46
Speaker 1: lot more now and there are more centers' names to
20:49
Speaker 1: add to the list of those who were spied on
20:52
Speaker 1: by Jack Smith. Ted Kruz's phone records, we've now learned
20:56
Speaker 1: were subpoena as part of an investigation the Jack Smith
21:00
Speaker 1: conducted or oversaw into the January sixth events and the
21:04
Speaker 1: broader quote election interference matter. The subpoena in his case
21:09
Speaker 1: specifically covered the period of January fourth through the seventh
21:14
Speaker 1: of twenty twenty one, just before and around the time
21:18
Speaker 1: of the January sixth disturbances. The Axios piece says that
21:23
Speaker 1: Cruz is the ninth Republican US Senator whose phone records
21:27
Speaker 1: were targeted or subpoenaed by the Justice Department under Smith's
21:32
Speaker 1: leadership and direction. The subpoena apparently requested a broad set
21:37
Speaker 1: of metadata inbound and outbound calls, text messages, direct connect
21:44
Speaker 1: voicemail messages, plus names and even addresses. Some Republican centers,
21:51
Speaker 1: for example Marshall Blackburn of Tennessee, have now sent letters
21:55
Speaker 1: to the Attorney General and to the telecom carriers alleging
21:59
Speaker 1: that this ounts to politicize surveillance of Congress by the
22:03
Speaker 1: Department of Justice and the FBI, calling it spying on
22:07
Speaker 1: duly elected members of Congress. One report from October to
22:11
Speaker 1: eighth places the number of GOP lawmakers, senators plus at
22:16
Speaker 1: least one representative whose metadata was actually obtained, and nine
22:22
Speaker 1: eight centers and one House member in that initial batch,
22:26
Speaker 1: which now is expanding. The reporting is based on subpoenas
22:30
Speaker 1: and metadata requests. It is not clear, at least in
22:34
Speaker 1: the public what the contents are what they did with
22:37
Speaker 1: the communications, What was accessed or what was done by
22:41
Speaker 1: the DOJ and the FBI with the metadata for Ted
22:45
Speaker 1: Cruz specifically, this is what we do know. The reason
22:48
Speaker 1: why he wasn't in the first batch is because he
22:52
Speaker 1: was not with Verizon. Instead, his carrier was AT and T,
22:56
Speaker 1: Which brings me to a special part of the show.
23:00
Speaker 1: Senator Ted Cruz and I set down to talk about
23:02
Speaker 1: this spying, exactly what happened and why we're now seeing
23:07
Speaker 1: this expand to other members of Congress and there could
23:11
Speaker 1: be more to come that were spied on by the
23:13
Speaker 1: Democrats and Jack Smith. So take a listen to what
23:17
Speaker 1: he had to say about finding out that he was
23:20
Speaker 1: a target. All right, Senator, so let's start with the
23:23
Speaker 1: big news. Where were you when you found out that
23:27
Speaker 1: you were spied on as part of Jack Smith's investigation
23:30
Speaker 1: into Donald Trump? This clearly is a fishing expedition. And
23:35
Speaker 1: what were you told? Have you been briefed on this
23:37
Speaker 1: or are you just getting to say Mentel we are
23:39
Speaker 1: from reading it in the news.
23:41
Speaker 7: So I found out about this last week, last Thursday.
23:44
Speaker 7: I got the information. And let's back up a couple
23:46
Speaker 7: of weeks ago. A couple of weeks ago, the news
23:49
Speaker 7: broke that Jack Smith, the prosecutor of the Biden DOJ
23:53
Speaker 7: that was going after January sixth, that was going after
23:56
Speaker 7: President Trump, had subpoenaed eight and one Republican House member
24:01
Speaker 7: and had gotten their cell phone records. And the eight
24:05
Speaker 7: Senators who had been subpoena were Marsha Blackburn, Ron Johnson,
24:09
Speaker 7: Bill Haggerty, Josh Holly, Cynthia Lummus, Lindsey Graham, Dan Sullivan,
24:14
Speaker 7: and Tommy Tuberville. And then Mike Kelly, a Republican House
24:18
Speaker 7: member from Pennsylvania, was also subpoenaed. All nine of them
24:22
Speaker 7: had their cell phone records handed over to the Biden
24:24
Speaker 7: Department of Justice. Now, I got to admit just over
24:28
Speaker 7: a week ago, Sean Hannity was in town and I
24:31
Speaker 7: had dinner with Sean and with several of the senators
24:36
Speaker 7: on that list as well, and I was laughing with Sean.
24:40
Speaker 7: I was saying, I'm actually kind of offended, Like how
24:43
Speaker 7: did I get lift out of this list? Like what
24:45
Speaker 7: did I have to do? I was literally standing on
24:50
Speaker 7: the Senate floor on January sixth, objecting and leading the fight,
24:55
Speaker 7: and I had brought together eleven senators to stand together
24:59
Speaker 7: in fighting for an election commission to assess the evidence
25:03
Speaker 7: of voter fraud, and including many of the senators who
25:07
Speaker 7: were subpoena were in the group that I'd brought together.
25:10
Speaker 7: So I was I was joking with Sean, but I
25:11
Speaker 7: wasn't entirely joking. Well, it turns out the reason I
25:15
Speaker 7: was not on the list is apparently all eight of
25:17
Speaker 7: those senators their cell phones are with Verizon, and the
25:21
Speaker 7: evidence had come out that Verizon had handed over their
25:23
Speaker 7: their their cell phone information. Well, my cell phone is
25:27
Speaker 7: with AT and T and I didn't know it at
25:30
Speaker 7: the time, but I found out late last week that
25:33
Speaker 7: Jack Smith sent a subpoena to AT and TU demanding
25:36
Speaker 7: my cell phone records, and AT and T told him
25:39
Speaker 7: to go jump in a lake. AT and T did
25:42
Speaker 7: not give my cell phone records. I really look. AT
25:46
Speaker 7: and T is based in Texas. I'm proud of them.
25:48
Speaker 7: They did the right thing. I appreciate that, and and
25:53
Speaker 7: they assessed it. They had a subpoena from Jack Smith.
25:56
Speaker 7: By the way, the subpoena called for quote detailed records
26:02
Speaker 7: for inbound and outbound calls, text messages, direct connect and
26:09
Speaker 7: voicemail messages, among other things. So they were seeking that.
26:12
Speaker 7: There was an also an order from Judge Boseburg, who
26:16
Speaker 7: was you know this, this left wing judge has been
26:19
Speaker 7: presiding against over much of the litigation against against Trump,
26:24
Speaker 7: had an order from Judge Boseberg ordering AT and T
26:27
Speaker 7: you cannot disclose to Cruise that we're seeking his cell
26:32
Speaker 7: phone information for a year.
26:33
Speaker 1: Isn't that amazing? By the way, and you're sitting unin
26:35
Speaker 1: State Center, don't tell him. We don't want him to know.
26:38
Speaker 7: Yes, and so AT and T examined it, and they
26:42
Speaker 7: actually they came to the conclusion. Now, the way it works,
26:45
Speaker 7: so the subpoena just comes and they get a cell
26:48
Speaker 7: phone number. So so the Biden DOJ didn't identify who
26:53
Speaker 7: they were seeking. And by the way, look the telecom
26:56
Speaker 7: companies typically if they get a subpoena for phone records
27:00
Speaker 7: on a number, they typically handed over because it's usually
27:04
Speaker 7: a drug dealer or a criminal. You have a subpoena
27:05
Speaker 7: that's issued from a grand jury, so so it it
27:09
Speaker 7: they will routinely in a criminal proceeding hand over. Well,
27:14
Speaker 7: it's so happened that that AT and T, even though
27:16
Speaker 7: they just asked for the number, they looked and realized
27:18
Speaker 7: whose number it was, and and and that they talked
27:22
Speaker 7: with their legal team, and and and they said, listen,
27:25
Speaker 7: what what Cruz is saying is it and any member
27:28
Speaker 7: of Congress, what they're saying is protected by the Speech
27:31
Speaker 7: and Debate Clause of the Constitution. The Constitution protects the
27:36
Speaker 7: ability of of of Senators and House members to engage
27:39
Speaker 7: in debate, to to do our jobs. Article one of
27:43
Speaker 7: the Constitution vests all legislative power in the Congress. And
27:48
Speaker 7: and in fact, we you know, on January sixth, it
27:51
Speaker 7: was very literally speech and debate. As I said, I
27:53
Speaker 7: was standing on the Senate floor giving a speech and
27:57
Speaker 7: raising an objection. So it's literally the heart of what
28:00
Speaker 7: one does as an elected member of Congress. And so
28:04
Speaker 7: At and T concluded, listen there, we're not going to comply.
28:09
Speaker 7: As I said, I'm grateful for At and T doing that,
28:12
Speaker 7: But that now makes it nine senators that we know
28:15
Speaker 7: of and one House.
28:16
Speaker 1: So I'm guessing there might be other senators that were
28:18
Speaker 1: also at At and T and they probably said no, we're
28:20
Speaker 1: not going to do that either, right it would be
28:22
Speaker 1: Verizon just caved instantly and said, sure, here's everybody you're
28:25
Speaker 1: asking for. There could be easily I would say another four, five,
28:28
Speaker 1: six others. Who knows how many outside the Senate right
28:32
Speaker 1: that they could have asked for that they could have
28:33
Speaker 1: said no to as well.
28:34
Speaker 4: And I would assume there was a lot of people
28:36
Speaker 4: on at and t well.
28:37
Speaker 7: And look the Biden DOJ also after the Republican Attorney
28:43
Speaker 7: General's Association. It went after Turning Point USA. This was
28:47
Speaker 7: a massive fishing expedition and this was a political persecution. Understand.
28:54
Speaker 7: Jack Smith was appointed Special Counsel to investigate and prosecute
28:57
Speaker 7: January sixth, three days after Donald Trump announced his campaign
29:04
Speaker 7: for reelection in twenty twenty four, literally three days later,
29:07
Speaker 7: so it was twenty twenty two, so it was two
29:09
Speaker 7: years after January sixth. They had not appointed anyone, and
29:12
Speaker 7: yet suddenly when Trump announces his campaign, they rushed to
29:15
Speaker 7: appoint Jack Smith to say, go after Donald Trump because
29:19
Speaker 7: we want to stop the voters from voting for him. Sure,
29:23
Speaker 7: but nine senators, that is twenty percent of the Republicans
29:27
Speaker 7: in the United States Senate. And I got to say
29:29
Speaker 7: for the executive branch to engage in wholesale spying on
29:37
Speaker 7: their political opponents and spying with let's be clear none
29:41
Speaker 7: of us engaged in criminal conduct. None of us can
29:44
Speaker 7: engage in anything remotely criminal, arguably criminal. This was political persecution.
29:50
Speaker 7: This was snooping. This is hoping. Someone said something.
29:54
Speaker 1: I was gonna ask you, what were they hoping to find? Right,
29:58
Speaker 1: you go fishing and what what is this smoking gun?
30:01
Speaker 1: In that scenario, they were just hey, we'll just go
30:03
Speaker 1: after all these conservatives and maybe we get lucky.
30:08
Speaker 4: Look.
30:08
Speaker 7: I don't know what they were hoping to find, but
30:10
Speaker 7: but but they were asking for the cell phone records
30:14
Speaker 7: from from January fourth to January seventh, so all surrounding
30:17
Speaker 7: January sixth. I assumed they were looking for some some
30:21
Speaker 7: modicum of coordination, uh with with with those who engage
30:26
Speaker 7: in active violence on that day. Part of their theory
30:30
Speaker 7: was was the alternate electors that were being sent from
30:33
Speaker 7: various states. So I assumed they were looking for some
30:36
Speaker 7: modicum of coordination there. But this was a political prosecution
30:42
Speaker 7: because they did not have evidence, and so they said, well,
30:45
Speaker 7: let's let's go through their cell phone records and see
30:48
Speaker 7: if we can find something. And by the way, who
30:50
Speaker 7: knows if if somebody had sent something stupid text, had
30:54
Speaker 7: a voicemail, had you know, I mean people when you
30:58
Speaker 7: go through someone emails, when you go through someone's cell phones,
31:03
Speaker 7: when prosecutors go looking for a crime, the nature of
31:09
Speaker 7: a fishing expedition is, let's go look around. You know.
31:12
Speaker 7: There's a book that was written decades ago. Uh that
31:15
Speaker 7: that that that's called three Felonies a Day, And and
31:18
Speaker 7: it talks about how the average American commits three felonies
31:21
Speaker 7: a day, that that in our regulatory state, things are
31:24
Speaker 7: so complicated, things are so mired in complexity that that
31:28
Speaker 7: that you can violate you know, you you step on
31:31
Speaker 7: a wetland in your backyard, and and and you know
31:35
Speaker 7: there's an old line that a prosecutor can indict a
31:38
Speaker 7: ham sandwich. Yeah, that that a prosecutor goes in front
31:41
Speaker 7: of a grand jury. When a prosecutor goes in front
31:43
Speaker 7: of a grand jury, you know, there's no defense attorney there.
31:46
Speaker 7: It's just the prosecutor and members of the grand jury.
31:49
Speaker 7: And so, I don't know what they were looking for.
31:51
Speaker 7: I think they were looking for anything that could stick
31:54
Speaker 7: because this was a political prosecution.
31:57
Speaker 4: Let me ask you this, if and and so, Ben,
32:00
Speaker 4: I just.
32:00
Speaker 7: Want to say I'm really grateful they did not find
32:04
Speaker 7: the pictures you sent to me of you in a
32:07
Speaker 7: pink too too, because I just think that it's not
32:10
Speaker 7: criminal all.
32:11
Speaker 1: The league jokes that I send you about the Ivy
32:13
Speaker 1: League snobs. I mean, Jack Smith probably ended up going
32:16
Speaker 1: to one of those places. That could have been very
32:18
Speaker 1: bad for me.
32:19
Speaker 7: I I it, you know it, it would have been uh.
32:23
Speaker 7: And and I got to say, just the typos and
32:26
Speaker 7: misspellings that that that you have in your text, that
32:29
Speaker 7: that alone would have.
32:30
Speaker 4: Been been a little bit embarrassing too.
32:32
Speaker 7: So I'm glad none of that.
32:33
Speaker 1: Good news is they're very hard to decipher when you're
32:36
Speaker 1: if there, if it's in front of you know, Congress,
32:38
Speaker 1: like it's what was been really trying to say.
32:40
Speaker 4: And I'm like, you're welcome.
32:41
Speaker 7: I will tell you about I talked to AT and
32:44
Speaker 7: T today and I said, look, you guys got to
32:46
Speaker 7: start a marketing campaign and shift to a T and T.
32:49
Speaker 7: We'll we'll protect your stuff, like yeas to them. Look,
32:54
Speaker 7: I I don't have a good answer to that. But
32:57
Speaker 7: but but but I did.
32:58
Speaker 1: Uh.
32:59
Speaker 7: And I didn't know about this until just a few
33:01
Speaker 7: days ago. So this was when the first news broke.
33:04
Speaker 7: Like I was joking that I felt excluded, but it
33:07
Speaker 7: wasn't entirely a joke. And then I was like, oh, okay,
33:09
Speaker 7: that makes sense, and.
33:12
Speaker 1: And here we are all right here, I don't question
33:14
Speaker 1: on this. What is gonna be the response from Congress?
33:20
Speaker 1: Will there be any to this or is this just
33:22
Speaker 1: old administration abuse of power?
33:24
Speaker 4: It is what it is.
33:25
Speaker 1: We're going to move on, or is there going to
33:27
Speaker 1: be a way to make sure like we have standards
33:29
Speaker 1: of this is not allowed to happen and that people
33:31
Speaker 1: are held accountable for this.
33:33
Speaker 7: Look, I think we're going to see hearings. I think
33:35
Speaker 7: we've we've got hearings coming in the House. I think
33:38
Speaker 7: we'll see hearings in the Senate. I will tell you
33:41
Speaker 7: the nine of us who were targeted, we're talking to
33:43
Speaker 7: each other because we want to prevent this. We want
33:46
Speaker 7: to prevent a subsequent DOJ from doing this, from spying
33:50
Speaker 7: on their political opponents, particularly in Congress. The executive doesn't
33:55
Speaker 7: have the ability to go engage in spying on members
33:59
Speaker 7: of the posing party in Congress. That is an abuse
34:02
Speaker 7: of power. It is it is politicization.
34:07
Speaker 6: Uh.
34:07
Speaker 7: And and this that this entire effort, so so, this
34:13
Speaker 7: prosecution was called Arctic Frost, and I think this is
34:16
Speaker 7: going to be the Watergate of the Biden d o J.
34:19
Speaker 7: I think it is a demonstration that Jack Smith was
34:24
Speaker 7: a partisan prosecutor who was drunk on power and and
34:27
Speaker 7: and and I don't believe Jack Smith made this decision
34:31
Speaker 7: on his own. I think the decision making goes all
34:33
Speaker 7: the way up. I think it goes up to the
34:35
Speaker 7: Attorney General, and I think it goes up to the
34:36
Speaker 7: White House. And and so I expect number one, some
34:40
Speaker 7: some real investigation and hopefully transparency in terms of who
34:43
Speaker 7: approved let's go spy on members of Congress and and
34:47
Speaker 7: and and and that that I think we're gonna work
34:50
Speaker 7: to have some real transparency on and that. I think
34:52
Speaker 7: we're gonna look at real and concrete steps we can
34:55
Speaker 7: take to make sure this never happens again, because this
34:58
Speaker 7: kind of is.
34:58
Speaker 1: They're part of you that just thinks like maybe this
35:01
Speaker 1: has just been going on and never really stopped. After
35:04
Speaker 1: you know, the the famous FBI director that had you know,
35:08
Speaker 1: files on everybody, and people said well, we won't have
35:12
Speaker 1: that again after Jagger, and now it's like they're just
35:16
Speaker 1: like they wild West. You can do what the hell
35:18
Speaker 1: you want to if you're a Democrat, and you're in charge.
35:20
Speaker 1: Like we can spawn in the present, we can spy
35:22
Speaker 1: in the campaigns. We can go after people in this
35:24
Speaker 1: situation room and the trap them. We can try to
35:27
Speaker 1: go after their business associates and their kids and get
35:29
Speaker 1: them to turn against them, like Eric Trump was talking
35:31
Speaker 1: about that on our show the day. If you missed
35:33
Speaker 1: that show, people should go back and listen to He's
35:35
Speaker 1: like they were literally trying to turn Donald Trump's own
35:38
Speaker 1: children against him, threatening that your life's gonna be over
35:41
Speaker 1: and you're gonna be in jail, so you better get
35:42
Speaker 1: a get out of jail free card. And now it's
35:44
Speaker 1: like yeah, and we were also spaying on senators. I'm
35:47
Speaker 1: assuming some congressmen will come out like who knows who's there?
35:50
Speaker 1: We I mean, Charlie Kirk said recently before assassination. It
35:56
Speaker 1: came out that he said during the campaign, we either
35:58
Speaker 1: win the campaign or I may go to jail.
36:00
Speaker 4: I actually believe.
36:02
Speaker 1: Now witnessing what we've sayen that that's not far off
36:05
Speaker 1: from reality at all.
36:07
Speaker 7: Look, the left was willing to weaponize the Department of
36:11
Speaker 7: Justice in the FBI.
36:12
Speaker 6: As you know.
36:13
Speaker 7: I wrote an entire book entitled Justice Corrupted. How the
36:16
Speaker 7: left is weaponized our legal system, and it talked about
36:19
Speaker 7: it actually started with Richard Nixon. Richard Nixon tried to
36:22
Speaker 7: do that. And and you look at some of the
36:24
Speaker 7: some of the hair brain schemes that the Nixon Justice
36:27
Speaker 7: Department came up with, including creating underground stings to to
36:33
Speaker 7: get people, uh, to get people on film taking drugs
36:37
Speaker 7: and with prostitutes to use to essentially blackmail them and
36:41
Speaker 7: to go after their political opponents. I mean, it was
36:43
Speaker 7: grotesque abuse of power. And and and when when that
36:47
Speaker 7: came to light, we actually saw an improvement. And there
36:49
Speaker 7: were a couple of decades where I think this this
36:52
Speaker 7: receded and occurred far less. And then what Richard Nixon
36:58
Speaker 7: tried to do to the justices, to Barack Obama succeeded
37:01
Speaker 7: in doing. He came in as this this almost messiah figure,
37:06
Speaker 7: and and and and do o j. Eric Holders Attorney General.
37:10
Speaker 7: You had Lois Learner at the I R S. They
37:13
Speaker 7: began targeting their political opponents, targeting targeting anyone that they
37:17
