- 0:38Speaker 3: I don't Joy Joy.
- 0:59Speaker 4: You know you.
- 1:06Speaker 5: Love, you know you're gonna turn.
- 1:31Speaker 6: I got to turn the mouth turn.
- 1:43Speaker 3: You probably got to turn, mouth turn a word.
- 1:47Speaker 5: Of the money, look mad me, come.
- 1:58Speaker 7: Come out, you think.
- 2:01Speaker 8: Uh huh, I so will a good morning everybody. You
- 2:05Speaker 8: are listening to the voice, Oh come on now dig
- 2:09Speaker 8: me if you will. One and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:12Speaker 8: a radio show, you know, one of the things about
- 2:17Speaker 8: being successful. And I was sharing this just the other
- 2:20Speaker 8: day with a young man and he asked me. He said, hey, man,
- 2:26Speaker 8: I just don't see how you get up that early
- 2:29Speaker 8: in the morning. I just don't see how, man, it
- 2:32Speaker 8: would kill me to get up.
- 2:34Speaker 9: This early in the morning.
- 2:36Speaker 8: Well, I sat there and I'm listening to it because
- 2:38Speaker 8: it's just a thousand times I've heard it, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 8: And my life is, you know, not too different from
- 2:43Speaker 8: a lot of people's lives. There's a lot of people
- 2:46Speaker 8: out there that rise early. And I just sit there, man,
- 2:49Speaker 8: because I mean, first of all, I'm grateful to be
- 2:53Speaker 8: able to have a job. I'm so grateful to be
- 2:55Speaker 8: able to do one and sevil that I happen to
- 2:57Speaker 8: enjoy doing. I mean, you know it's work and it's
- 3:00Speaker 8: difficult at times, but I mean, you know I wanted this.
- 3:04Speaker 9: You know you got it.
- 3:04Speaker 8: You know you can't ask God for nothing any give
- 3:07Speaker 8: it to you then and be mad that you got it.
- 3:08Speaker 8: Don't make no sense.
- 3:09Speaker 7: You know.
- 3:10Speaker 9: The problem with asking God for stuff is a lot of.
- 3:13Speaker 8: Times we asking for stuff, we don't really know what
- 3:15Speaker 8: all it encompasses, what all it really is. And I
- 3:18Speaker 8: ask for this now along the way, I've gotten far
- 3:21Speaker 8: more than I asked for. I want you to do.
- 3:24Speaker 8: Understand that, and you know that's His grace at work
- 3:28Speaker 8: in my life. But I get up early and I
- 3:30Speaker 8: go to work because I do understand something that it
- 3:33Speaker 8: is not.
- 3:34Speaker 9: Walking up to you.
- 3:35Speaker 8: Nobody walks up to people normally and just hand them
- 3:39Speaker 8: checks all the time, and enough checks to sustain your life,
- 3:43Speaker 8: and not only sustain it, but to have a life
- 3:45Speaker 8: that where you could enjoy and do some of the
- 3:48Speaker 8: things you want to do. I don't know the person
- 3:50Speaker 8: that walks out hands out that money just to be
- 3:53Speaker 8: doing it and then with a lifestyle though, where you
- 3:56Speaker 8: can you know, give your kids a Christmas, you know,
- 3:59Speaker 8: take your family. I'm on vacation, you know, a year,
- 4:01Speaker 8: once a year. I don't know nobody passing out to
- 4:03Speaker 8: kind of money. So I get up early in the morning.
- 4:05Speaker 8: I get at it. I was taught to get up
- 4:09Speaker 8: early in the morning by my father because my father says,
- 4:13Speaker 8: ain't nothing gonna come to you while you lay in there.
- 4:16Speaker 8: And you know what, It's just true, man, it's just
- 4:19Speaker 8: a little common sense. Little old people smart man, they've
- 4:21Speaker 8: been around a long time. You don't get old. You know,
- 4:24Speaker 8: some old foods out there, but you know you don't
- 4:25Speaker 8: have to deal with them. But old people are pretty smart, man.
- 4:28Speaker 8: They've learned a lot along the way. And waking up
- 4:31Speaker 8: early and getting out it is one of them things.
- 4:32Speaker 8: And I ask everybody man to think about this scenario
- 4:36Speaker 8: of your life. If a day has twenty four hours
- 4:38Speaker 8: in it, and let's just say you choose to sleep
- 4:42Speaker 8: eight of those hours because they tell you you need
- 4:46Speaker 8: eight hours sleep, So you sleep eight hours, that's a
- 4:50Speaker 8: third of your life asleep already, just a third of
- 4:54Speaker 8: your life is spent asleep.
- 4:57Speaker 9: If you're gonna do eight hours a day.
- 4:59Speaker 8: Now, let's say you have a job that you work
- 5:02Speaker 8: eight hours and it is not the job of your dreams.
- 5:04Speaker 8: It's not your dream career, your dream profession. It's just
- 5:08Speaker 8: the one you took, like all of us, to get
- 5:10Speaker 8: it started. And then, like all of us, some of
- 5:12Speaker 8: us end up having this state at because we've created
- 5:15Speaker 8: these bills because we check to check.
- 5:16Speaker 9: So we can't leave it because we'll lose what we've
- 5:19Speaker 9: worked for.
- 5:20Speaker 8: So let's just say you got a job that you
- 5:22Speaker 8: go to work to for eight hours. That's another third
- 5:25Speaker 8: of your life. That's two thirds of your life. Feel
- 5:29Speaker 8: how you want to feel about your two thirds? Well,
- 5:31Speaker 8: I like sleep? Okay, cool, there's a scripture about that too.
- 5:34Speaker 8: But now you spent two thirds of your life one
- 5:36Speaker 8: on a job you don't care for if you're not
- 5:38Speaker 8: happy that, or one that just pays the bills, and
- 5:41Speaker 8: it's not your dream job or career. Another third of
- 5:43Speaker 8: your life is sleep. Oh now, let's hold on. Let's
- 5:45Speaker 8: talk about the one hour of preparation that it may
- 5:48Speaker 8: take to get to the job. That's seventeen hours. Let's
- 5:52Speaker 8: say your drive time. Let's say getting to your job
- 5:55Speaker 8: for the average person is anywhere between thirty to an hour.
- 6:00Speaker 8: It's an average of what it takes to average person. Now,
- 6:02Speaker 8: some people out there hustling way harder than that. But
- 6:04Speaker 8: let's just say your average is an hour getting to work.
- 6:08Speaker 8: You add another hour to that going to work. You've
- 6:11Speaker 8: now spent eighteen hours out of the twenty four doing
- 6:16Speaker 8: something that's either nonproductive, you're not happy with, you're not
- 6:21Speaker 8: pleased about. It is not your dream job, it's not
- 6:23Speaker 8: your dream profession. And rest of the time you sleep.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Eighteen hours. Now you got to come from the job,
- 6:28Speaker 8: so let's just say it's another hour to get back home.
- 6:30Speaker 8: That's nineteen hours. Nineteen hours out of a twenty four
- 6:33Speaker 8: hour day. You now have five hours left in your day. Oh,
- 6:38Speaker 8: you watch TV two hours a day. Okay, excuse me.
- 6:40Speaker 8: Let's put now you put two hours of TV on
- 6:43Speaker 8: that you've just spent twenty one. You now have three
- 6:46Speaker 8: hours in the day to do something super productive for
- 6:51Speaker 8: the development of yourself and the future of your family
- 6:55Speaker 8: and your future as a person and what you can
- 6:58Speaker 8: provide for your family. Uh Oh, I need to chill,
- 7:03Speaker 8: I need to smoke one. Uh Oh, I needed some
- 7:06Speaker 8: time at happy. I'll seem like all I do is
- 7:09Speaker 8: dry to work and go to work. I'm gonna go
- 7:12Speaker 8: out with the fellas drink one. Okay, Let's say you
- 7:16Speaker 8: spend two hours at Happy Ill nobody go to a
- 7:19Speaker 8: Happy Hours yet for a hour. Let's say you spend
- 7:21Speaker 8: two hours at Happy I'll all smoke in all some
- 7:24Speaker 8: video games. Let's throw that in there. Two hours of smoking,
- 7:26Speaker 8: chilling video games. That's twenty three hours of your day gone.
- 7:31Speaker 8: Don't you see how your day slips away from you?
- 7:34Speaker 8: So why would you get up early? You get up
- 7:37Speaker 8: early to get a jump. You get up early to produce,
- 7:42Speaker 8: to plan, to become productive. You get up early in
- 7:45Speaker 8: the morning to care about every single minute of your day.
- 7:49Speaker 8: You wake up early in the morning because you have
- 7:51Speaker 8: a plan, a mission, You have something you want to accomplish.
- 7:55Speaker 8: The earlier you get up, the more time you have
- 7:58Speaker 8: just for you to devote to your plan. You map
- 8:00Speaker 8: it out, you make them, send some emails, whatever it
- 8:04Speaker 8: is you need to do to get your dream under way.
- 8:07Speaker 8: Then you go get ready. Then you get in your
- 8:10Speaker 8: car and go to work. Then you go to your job,
- 8:12Speaker 8: but on your job, instead of sitting at your lunch
- 8:14Speaker 8: break messing around with a bunch of people laughing and
- 8:17Speaker 8: talking about nothing, playing dominoes. Why don't you take that
- 8:20Speaker 8: hour to do some more research, to send out some
- 8:23Speaker 8: more emails, to put some feelings out there, to see
- 8:26Speaker 8: what can get you in the place that you want
- 8:28Speaker 8: to be. Then when you get off, instead of driving
- 8:31Speaker 8: straight home, why don't you go somewhere in a meeting,
- 8:34Speaker 8: you take in a session with some people in a
- 8:37Speaker 8: positive mental state, group of people that get together. Network
- 8:40Speaker 8: for business, not drink at happy hour, I said, network
- 8:43Speaker 8: for business. So after you've done that eight that you
- 8:46Speaker 8: don't really care for on a job, you spend some
- 8:48Speaker 8: more time pursuing, looking into researching, working towards sending out
- 8:54Speaker 8: some more applications, putting in some more time to build
- 8:57Speaker 8: your new app discussing some more net working ideas. Okay,
- 9:01Speaker 8: that's your happy hour. Then when you go home, instead
- 9:04Speaker 8: of chilling drinking one, having a cold one, smoking one,
- 9:08Speaker 8: playing a video game, why don't you take that two
- 9:11Speaker 8: hours and devote that to that business idea. You got
- 9:15Speaker 8: to that family that you talk about, you really want
- 9:17Speaker 8: spend some time with your children, put something into them,
- 9:20Speaker 8: Do something, man, with all these precious hours that God
- 9:24Speaker 8: gives all of us in the course of a day,
- 9:27Speaker 8: take advantage of every minute of that No human being
- 9:31Speaker 8: has more than twenty four hours a day, including myself.
- 9:34Speaker 8: But if you care about every single minute of that day,
- 9:39Speaker 8: you'll be amazed at how much you could get accomplished
- 9:42Speaker 8: in a twenty four hour day. But you can't get
- 9:45Speaker 8: none of that happening because you sleep, and you chilling
- 9:49Speaker 8: and you smoking. Okay, what has that done for you,
- 9:54Speaker 8: your family or your future? Care about every minute of
- 9:57Speaker 8: your day?
- 9:58Speaker 1: You're listening Morning.
- 10:00Speaker 10: Show, Rise and Shine, Wake up, wake up, Wake up
- 10:05Speaker 10: to yourself that stretch that morning yawning, you sit on
- 10:08Speaker 10: the edge of the bed. You thank the man, and
- 10:09Speaker 10: then you got to get up, get out and get something.
- 10:12Speaker 7: This is the baddest radio show in the land.

- 14:43Speaker 7: So no, that's that's not the issue at all.
- 14:46Speaker 18: I'll write them. What kind of problem could we have?
- 14:49Speaker 10: Well, the ladies that are washing the clothes are complaining
- 14:51Speaker 10: that when you bring your load in. I mean, I
- 14:54Speaker 10: don't know how to really tell you this, but you're
- 14:55Speaker 10: you're saying that your underwear is too dirty they.
- 14:57Speaker 7: Don't want to wash it.
- 14:59Speaker 16: You know you playing right?
- 15:02Speaker 7: No, I'm dead serious.
- 15:03Speaker 18: What are you talking about? My underwear is dirty? I'm
- 15:07Speaker 18: not any more dirty than anybody else, sir.
- 15:09Speaker 10: All I can tell you is we wash quite a
- 15:11Speaker 10: few people's clothes on daily basis, weekly basis. For my
- 15:15Speaker 10: employees to complain about your load, then I have to
- 15:19Speaker 10: give you a call and talk to you about it.
- 15:21Speaker 18: My man, I feel like you on my phone.
- 15:24Speaker 10: No, that's not what this is, bro. This is actually
- 15:26Speaker 10: a call. And you know we have we have two options.
- 15:30Speaker 18: Are you out there calling everybody else?
- 15:32Speaker 7: No, I don't have it. I haven't had a complaint.
- 15:35Speaker 14: I know there's more dirty people than me going in
- 15:37Speaker 14: your spot because I see them.
- 15:38Speaker 10: Okay, here's a deal. We have two options here. You
- 15:42Speaker 10: can scrub your underwear before you bring it in.
- 15:45Speaker 14: First off, you over here raising your voice, Now, what
- 15:48Speaker 14: are you talking about?
- 15:49Speaker 18: Scrub my underwear? We clean? Man, I'm clean. I bring
- 15:52Speaker 18: my sin, I drop it off, I pick it up.
- 15:54Speaker 10: Okay, So here's the problem once again, I'll start this off.
- 15:57Speaker 10: You have two options, sir. You can bring in your
- 16:00Speaker 10: stuff scrubbed. Okay, when and when my ladies take a
- 16:04Speaker 10: look at it, if they're comfortable with cleaning it, so
- 16:06Speaker 10: be it. Or you know, we might not be able
- 16:08Speaker 10: to accept your your clothes anymore.
- 16:10Speaker 18: Man, I don't even got to go up there anymore. Then,
- 16:12Speaker 18: if you if you really playing around on my phone
- 16:14Speaker 18: like this, I even got to go up in anymore.
- 16:17Speaker 18: Let me talk to your manager.
- 16:18Speaker 7: Man, I am the manager, Sir, I'm Kevin.
- 16:21Speaker 18: You don't sound like the manager. How are you?
- 16:25Speaker 17: What?
- 16:25Speaker 1: What?
- 16:25Speaker 7: What does a manager sound like?
- 16:27Speaker 1: Then?
- 16:27Speaker 18: Sammy, you know who owned the building. Let me talk
- 16:30Speaker 18: to him.
- 16:31Speaker 10: Okay, here's out here right now. I'm the manager and
- 16:33Speaker 10: I'm the one taking care of this problem. My ladies
- 16:35Speaker 10: have a problem with washing your underwear, and I'm calling
- 16:38Speaker 10: you to let you know there's a problem.
- 16:39Speaker 7: I'm letting you know.
- 16:40Speaker 10: The way to rectify the problem is you can scrub
- 16:42Speaker 10: them before you bring them in and then we will
- 16:44Speaker 10: wash them. If you do not want to do that,
- 16:46Speaker 10: we will not be allowed to take You.
- 16:48Speaker 18: Ain't got to rectify. You just need to quit calling
- 16:50Speaker 18: my phone on this boot. I ain't gonna go up
- 16:52Speaker 18: there no more.
- 16:53Speaker 16: Then that's fine.
- 16:54Speaker 18: I ain't got to come through your spot. That's fun.
- 16:56Speaker 10: Do you know how dirty? How funky your clothes gotta be?
- 16:59Speaker 10: Man for my for my people to be telling me
- 17:01Speaker 10: they don't want to watch them in the morning, you
- 17:02Speaker 10: know how funky?
- 17:03Speaker 7: That's got the beef?
- 17:04Speaker 4: Sammy Man?

- 53:18Speaker 10: we got it for you. Here it is strawberry letter.
- 53:20Speaker 15: Thank you nephew's subject. Why were they in my kitchen whispering?
- 53:25Speaker 15: Dear Steven Shirley. I've been married for eighteen years and
- 53:29Speaker 15: my husband is high school principal and I'm a retired teacher.
- 53:33Speaker 15: We host an annual Labor Day get together for his
- 53:36Speaker 15: staff and I get it catered. We have games in
- 53:39Speaker 15: the backyard for the kiddies and they enjoy swimming and
- 53:42Speaker 15: playing in our hot tub. This year was different because
- 53:45Speaker 15: he has mostly females on staff. Most of them are
- 53:48Speaker 15: single moms, so they came with their children. Like I said,
- 53:52Speaker 15: I had the food catered and it was set up
- 53:54Speaker 15: on chasing dishes on the patio. So it was strange
- 53:57Speaker 15: that my husband kept running in and out of the house.
- 54:00Speaker 15: He said his stomach was bothering him. The last time
- 54:03Speaker 15: he went inside, he was gone for a long time,
- 54:06Speaker 15: so I went inside to check on him. He wasn't
- 54:09Speaker 15: in any of our bathrooms in the back of the house,
- 54:11Speaker 15: so I went toward the kitchen and I heard whispering.
- 54:15Speaker 1: I noticed the laundry room door was opened and there
- 54:17Speaker 1: was a towel on the floor.
- 54:19Speaker 15: I walked in on my husband and one of the
- 54:21Speaker 15: teachers in my kitchen, and they stopped whispering. Her linen
- 54:25Speaker 15: shorts were wrinkled, and his head was dripping with sweat.
- 54:30Speaker 15: He started rambling about this woman having a family, having
- 54:33Speaker 15: a family emergency, and she needed somewhere quiet to talk.
- 54:37Speaker 15: I rolled my eyes, and then she started rambling.
- 54:40Speaker 1: She said she went.
- 54:41Speaker 15: Into our laundry room to take a phone call, and
- 54:44Speaker 15: my husband shot her an angry look. I bet he
- 54:47Speaker 15: didn't expect her to admit that she was in our
- 54:49Speaker 15: laundry room. I politely told her that whatever she had
- 54:53Speaker 15: going on, she should leave my house and go take
- 54:56Speaker 15: care of it. She left, and my husband walked her out.
- 55:00Speaker 15: A month later, he's still mad at how I handled her.
- 55:04Speaker 15: I am still mad that she was inside my house
- 55:06Speaker 15: with him. And why was he so concerned about her problems? Okay,
- 55:11Speaker 15: I couldn't agree with you more. Why was he so
- 55:14Speaker 15: concerned about her problems? Your husband is crazy to do
- 55:17Speaker 15: that so close to home, and in home, and right
- 55:20Speaker 15: there under your nose.
- 55:22Speaker 1: All the whispering, the sweating, the rambling, you know that
- 55:26Speaker 1: they were doing, the angry look he shot her. All
- 55:29Speaker 1: of that the towel on the floor. What is going on?
- 55:32Speaker 15: I mean, how could he possibly think anything good could
- 55:35Speaker 15: come out of running in and out of the house
- 55:37Speaker 15: all during the party, only to end up in the
- 55:39Speaker 15: laundry room with the female staff member. This was really
- 55:42Speaker 15: dumb on your husband's part. Every time he ran into
- 55:45Speaker 15: the house, he was causing suspicion to you. And finally
- 55:48Speaker 15: you just went in and the woman.
- 55:50Speaker 1: What was she thinking?
- 55:51Speaker 15: If it wasn't something shady going on, why didn't he
- 55:54Speaker 15: just let you know what was happening with her? An
- 55:57Speaker 15: emergency situation usually requires all hands on deck. They should
- 56:01Speaker 15: have told you something if there was a problem. One
- 56:04Speaker 15: thing's for sure. You weren't buying their story. You told
- 56:06Speaker 15: her to leave to handle her emergency, and you told
- 56:09Speaker 15: her nicely, politely, like you said, So your husband has
- 56:12Speaker 15: some nerve being mad at you. I say, he's your
- 56:14Speaker 15: husband and should be concerned about you, of course, not
- 56:18Speaker 15: some other woman that he was fooling around with in
- 56:22Speaker 15: the house.
- 56:22Speaker 1: And you know that's what was going on right under
- 56:25Speaker 1: your nose, Tommy.
- 56:27Speaker 10: He is concerned about her because he cares about her.
- 56:34Speaker 7: And you know this already.
- 56:35Speaker 10: This ain't nothing. We got to take You already know that.
- 56:39Speaker 10: You know what was going on in that launch room.
- 56:41Speaker 10: You already know that. And they used to type spaces.
- 56:44Speaker 10: They do this at the school all the time. They've
- 56:46Speaker 10: been in book rooms and all that they've been doing this.
- 56:49Speaker 10: All right, Look you gotta go on on and take
- 56:51Speaker 10: the look at the whole picture. Now. It's a pool
- 56:53Speaker 10: party going on, all right. So we ain't got much
- 56:56Speaker 10: of no clothes on. We had we pretty much almost there,
- 57:00Speaker 10: so it don't take long. You already knew it. Don't
- 57:03Speaker 10: take but one leg all we needed one leg. One
- 57:05Speaker 10: leg again us there they was in there in that
- 57:08Speaker 10: laundry room. What I'm upset about with you about is
- 57:13Speaker 10: why it took so long for you to go in there.
- 57:16Speaker 10: You know, if they was in there for he was
- 57:18Speaker 10: in there for a long time. Why you let a
- 57:20Speaker 10: long time go by? Why you didn't get your behind
- 57:23Speaker 10: on in there and see what's going on?
- 57:25Speaker 7: Now?
- 57:25Speaker 10: If you really won't proof, that tie on the floor
- 57:28Speaker 10: tells it all I'm just trying to take.
- 57:30Speaker 7: If you won't proof, take.
- 57:32Speaker 10: That tie somewhere and get it examined, and I promise
- 57:35Speaker 10: you there's some things on there. Okay, Just just just
- 57:38Speaker 10: keeping it real with you. I'm just letting you know.
- 57:41Speaker 10: I'm just letting you know. He don't like you the
- 57:44Speaker 10: way he like her.
- 57:45Speaker 7: He don't wow after surely he sweats for her. Did
- 57:51Speaker 7: you see there?
- 57:52Speaker 1: Feeling?
- 57:54Speaker 7: That little fuzzy thing is gone.
- 57:56Speaker 10: It's fuzzy with the with the with the with the
- 57:58Speaker 10: chemistry teacher or whoever she is, it's fuzzy with her.
- 58:04Speaker 7: What what, I'm the only one fell for a teacher.
- 58:07Speaker 7: I used to like a lot of my teachers.
- 58:09Speaker 1: What the only one that said fuzzy?
- 58:13Speaker 7: Yeah? Oh, I ain't mean it like that. That fuzzy,
- 58:17Speaker 7: warm feeling is what I mean.
- 58:22Speaker 10: That's why I don't do these damn letters, because I
- 58:24Speaker 10: don't like to say something and put my foot in
- 58:26Speaker 10: my mouth. Okay, now, if you want me to get
- 58:31Speaker 10: you to Steve Harvey, see what you really got to do?
- 58:34Speaker 10: See this man right here ain't really in love with you, So, ladies,
- 58:39Speaker 10: why would you give him the time of day?
- 58:42Speaker 7: I think it's time for you to leave that. That's that.
- 58:45Speaker 7: That's that.
- 58:46Speaker 10: That's Steve Harvey mentoring if you want that, Tommy saying,
- 58:50Speaker 10: Thommy saying, why you ain't carry your ass in there?
- 58:53Speaker 10: Early and find out what the hell was going on.
- 58:55Speaker 10: You could have follot everything. Bust that door open in
- 58:58Speaker 10: that launch room. There ain't got no being to up
- 59:00Speaker 10: and there. When he was in there five minutes, you
- 59:02Speaker 10: should have been right on in there behind him. That's
- 59:04Speaker 10: what you should have been.
- 59:06Speaker 7: But they whispering in there, and they're whispering sweet nothings. Baby,
- 59:11Speaker 7: that's what you do when you threw you whispered sweet nothing.
- 59:16Speaker 1: That's what they were doing.
- 59:17Speaker 10: Oh wait, we get back to school, Wait till we
- 59:23Speaker 10: get this.
- 59:27Speaker 7: I'm gonna meet you in the gyms therapy.
- 59:29Speaker 1: All right, all right, nephew, thank you. We're gonna have
- 59:33Speaker 1: him for two of the Strawberry Letter. Coming up. We'll
- 59:36Speaker 1: hear from Junior.
- 59:37Speaker 15: As well, at twenty three minutes after the hour the
- 59:40Speaker 15: Sister day Strawberry Letter, Why were they in my kitchen whispering?
- 59:45Speaker 1: We'll get Junior's view right after this. You're listening Morning show.
- 59:51Speaker 1: All right, here we go.
- 59:52Speaker 15: We're gonna recap today's Strawberry Letter. The subject is, why
- 59:55Speaker 15: were they in my kitchen whispering? A woman wrote in
- 59:58Speaker 15: she's been married for eighteen years. Her husband is a
- 1:00:01Speaker 15: high school principal. She's a retired school teacher and each
- 1:00:05Speaker 15: year they host a Labor Day get together for the staff,
- 1:00:09Speaker 15: and you know, they get it catered and everything. They
- 1:00:12Speaker 15: have games for the kids in their backyard. Kids like
- 1:00:15Speaker 15: to go swimming, play in the hot tub, et cetera,
- 1:00:17Speaker 15: et cetera. The thing about this year that makes it
- 1:00:20Speaker 15: different is most of the staff, most of her husband's
- 1:00:23Speaker 15: staff are females in their single moms.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: At that so they brought the kids.
- 1:00:27Speaker 15: The kids are running around having a good time, but
- 1:00:30Speaker 15: her husband is also running in and out of the house.
- 1:00:35Speaker 15: He's told his wife that he had stomach issues. So
- 1:00:39Speaker 15: this last time he ran in, he stayed for a
- 1:00:42Speaker 15: really long time, really long time, so the wife went
- 1:00:46Speaker 15: in to check on him. He got stomach problems. Maybe
- 1:00:48Speaker 15: he's in the bathroom, he needs some help, right, Well,
- 1:00:50Speaker 15: she went in the bathrooms, no sign of her husband,
- 1:00:54Speaker 15: so she walked through the house, went through the kitchen.
- 1:00:57Speaker 15: There he was in there whispering with one of his
- 1:01:00Speaker 15: female staff members. She also noticed that the laundry door
- 1:01:04Speaker 15: was opened. There was a towel on the floor, and
- 1:01:07Speaker 15: she walked in and her husband and this woman whispering.
- 1:01:11Speaker 15: The woman's Lennen shorts. The wife said were wrinkled. Her
- 1:01:14Speaker 15: husband's head was dripping with sweat. He started rambling about
- 1:01:18Speaker 15: this woman having an emergency and that she needed somewhere
- 1:01:22Speaker 15: quiet to talk. So the wife rolled her eyes, and
- 1:01:26Speaker 15: then the woman started rambling and she said she was
- 1:01:29Speaker 15: in the laundry room.
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Then the husband shot.
- 1:01:31Speaker 15: Her a crazy look, a mad look, because he didn't
- 1:01:34Speaker 15: want her to say that they were in the laundry room. Anyway,
- 1:01:37Speaker 15: the wife politely asked the woman to leave handle her business.
- 1:01:40Speaker 15: But the husband is mad at the wife because he
- 1:01:44Speaker 15: doesn't like the way the wife handled the female staff
- 1:01:47Speaker 15: member that was in her house with her husband, in
- 1:01:49Speaker 15: the laundry room and in the kitchen whispering.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: What So, that's pretty much the gist of this letter, Junior.
- 1:01:56Speaker 12: What you got, well, judge your favorite thing that you've said.
- 1:02:00Speaker 13: We got some questions for you too, because your question
- 1:02:02Speaker 13: is why were they in my kitchen whispering? Here's a
- 1:02:04Speaker 13: question I have, Why were you outside so long at
- 1:02:06Speaker 13: this party? Why are you outside here? Another question? Why
- 1:02:12Speaker 13: was you in the Why was you in the pool
- 1:02:14Speaker 13: there in the house?
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: Uh huh? You outside in the backyard.
- 1:02:18Speaker 13: Here's another question, why is you out here fixing plates
- 1:02:22Speaker 13: you can't find your husband you're missing at your house?
- 1:02:26Speaker 12: Why why his stomach hurt? Why you ain't give him
- 1:02:28Speaker 12: some medicine?
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: Baby?
- 1:02:31Speaker 12: Yeah, you're talking about the kitchen.
- 1:02:34Speaker 13: It's a lot of things happened before you got to
- 1:02:36Speaker 13: the kitchen, and your my question, I'll tell you what
- 1:02:39Speaker 13: here goes.
- 1:02:40Speaker 12: Why was you out there talking to the math teacher?
- 1:02:45Speaker 12: What y'all talking about your husband missing?
- 1:02:47Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: Okay, okay, you know what you're worried about.
- 1:02:50Speaker 13: Why they're in the kitchen whispering? You know how long
- 1:02:52Speaker 13: it's been since Eve been gone a long time. It's
- 1:02:55Speaker 13: a lot of things happened shortly before they even got.
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: To the kitchen.
- 1:02:57Speaker 5: What was you doing?
- 1:03:00Speaker 12: And worthy cat Williams? No, we're worth the cat Williams.
- 1:03:02Speaker 12: Where was your antennas.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: They finally came out, that's why she was in there.
- 1:03:10Speaker 12: Now he made the whole story about, uh, you know what,
- 1:03:14Speaker 12: she had a family emergency? Why she ain't with her family?
- 1:03:17Speaker 12: Why don't not a question?
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: How?
- 1:03:21Speaker 12: Why you why you let her leave politely? Why she
- 1:03:23Speaker 12: wasn't chunk politely.
- 1:03:28Speaker 18: Like that?
- 1:03:31Speaker 13: You're about the town after title? Why that tie on
- 1:03:34Speaker 13: the floor and not around her head?
- 1:03:36Speaker 7: Understand?
- 1:03:37Speaker 13: You got a lot of stuff that The only question
- 1:03:39Speaker 13: you have is why she and my kitchen whispered.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: That's the only question you gott.
- 1:03:46Speaker 13: I can't believe my wife let me go in the
- 1:03:48Speaker 13: house that log would call her or Shirley, and now.
- 1:03:52Speaker 12: In the laundry room, in the loner room with that.
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: But we're still not gonna make this the wife's fault though.
- 1:03:57Speaker 15: Now this is clearly on the husband and this sure,
- 1:04:01Speaker 15: oh absolutely, uh huh.
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: But she should have busted laundry room. She should have.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: You should what in the galley is going on?
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: Yeah?
- 1:04:11Speaker 5: What in the game?
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: They should at least watched They should at least watch
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: that tie while they was in there.
- 1:04:17Speaker 15: They couldn't do that in the wash Because as a wife,
- 1:04:20Speaker 15: you know where your husband is every moment, you really do.
- 1:04:23Speaker 15: You know when he's missing, how long he's been gone,
- 1:04:26Speaker 15: Who else is missing along with your husband? You know,
- 1:04:29Speaker 15: you know, you know absolutely yes, But still not still
- 1:04:35Speaker 15: her husband that I'm mad at.
- 1:04:37Speaker 12: Why are you outside playing with other people children?
- 1:04:39Speaker 13: Why I don't even know they brought kids. Why did
- 1:04:41Speaker 13: you get doing all of this your husband missing?
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: I can't see this. What were they what were they
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: saying when they were whispering in the kitchen. It was
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: so good.
- 1:04:54Speaker 17: It was.
- 1:04:55Speaker 7: It was at school, but it was good. It was
- 1:04:59Speaker 7: good because he doesn't randlem me.
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: She was on that, the danger of it all.
- 1:05:06Speaker 7: But I'm the principal. Look tomorrow a rain of trial.

- 1:08:59Speaker 1: Coming really coming up.
- 1:09:01Speaker 15: At the top of the hour, a guy on social
- 1:09:03Speaker 15: media says, I rejected my daughter's teacher's advances.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: Now my kid is failing. We'll talk about it right
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: after this.
- 1:09:10Speaker 6: That's wrong.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: You're listening morning show, all right?
- 1:09:16Speaker 15: So this is from kJ on Steve Harvey sm kJ says,
- 1:09:21Speaker 15: I attended a parent teacher night with my fourth grade
- 1:09:24Speaker 15: daughter about a month ago. While I was there, her teacher,
- 1:09:27Speaker 15: Miss Lennard, not her real name, was very friendly toward me,
- 1:09:31Speaker 15: too friendly. Once she confirmed my single status through small talk,
- 1:09:35Speaker 15: she started centering her attention on me, very obviously, not
- 1:09:40Speaker 15: paying much attention to the other parents and attendant. As
- 1:09:43Speaker 15: we were leaving, she asked me to stay back for
- 1:09:45Speaker 15: a second while my daughter waited in the hall. Miss
- 1:09:48Speaker 15: Lenard asked me out. I politely declined for two reasons.
- 1:09:53Speaker 15: One she's my kid's teacher, and two I really wasn't interested.
- 1:09:57Speaker 15: She seemed okay at the time, but now to months later,
- 1:10:01Speaker 15: my daughter, who was getting straight a's and b's, is
- 1:10:04Speaker 15: getting c's and d's now. When I asked her what happened,
- 1:10:08Speaker 15: she said she didn't know, but thought that Miss Leonard
- 1:10:10Speaker 15: didn't like her much. I think I see what's happening here,
- 1:10:14Speaker 15: But believe if I come, if I confront her with
- 1:10:17Speaker 15: my suspicions, she'll say I'm being ego centric, and how
- 1:10:21Speaker 15: do I prove otherwise?
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: How do I deal with this? What do you guys think?
- 1:10:25Speaker 10: You got to take this to the principal now you've
- 1:10:28Speaker 10: got to go past her. You got to get your
- 1:10:30Speaker 10: child out of her class right now. Leonard looked that bad.
- 1:10:35Speaker 10: I mean, you couldn't like make an access for the baby.
- 1:10:40Speaker 10: Could at least, you know, fake hollered a little bit
- 1:10:42Speaker 10: just to make her feel a little good.
- 1:10:44Speaker 7: You just show no interest to your baby. Had a
- 1:10:47Speaker 7: c by the time you left.
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: So you jor. I'll tell you what I think.
- 1:10:56Speaker 13: I think the daughter need to go in there and
- 1:10:57Speaker 13: said her daddy down. You got to grab with miss Lennard.
- 1:11:01Speaker 13: You're gonna have to go out with missinesss.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I got to get to the fifth grade. I'm trying
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: to graduate.
- 1:11:07Speaker 9: You're gonna have to go.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: You gonna have to take one from me as your daughter.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: You have to go out with vis Leonard.
- 1:11:12Speaker 13: I don't care where y'all go, but I'll tell you
- 1:11:14Speaker 13: right now, it's a lot of pressure in this class
- 1:11:15Speaker 13: from I'm feelings.
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: I'm not doing this.
- 1:11:18Speaker 12: I don't feel my self esteem low, I don't feel good.
- 1:11:22Speaker 15: That's interesting that the fourth grader realized that her teacher
- 1:11:25Speaker 15: didn't like her.
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Wow taking it out on the show. If it's yeah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: she's taking that out on the child. I'm telling I'm
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: taking the apples.
- 1:11:33Speaker 12: I ain't getting nothing. Take the apples to school every day.
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: You have to go to miss Lennon, now she won't you.
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: You have to do that.
- 1:11:40Speaker 12: I'm giving a gift calls. I'm doing everything I can.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: What is you doing that here?
- 1:11:43Speaker 6: I can't.
- 1:11:46Speaker 7: I'm doing my cart no idea what Miss Leonard looked like.
- 1:11:50Speaker 13: That's all right, but I got season ds that that
- 1:11:53Speaker 13: is my education not important to you or.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: That I need to know it.
- 1:11:59Speaker 7: You got you gotta picking up a trade now. I'm
- 1:12:00Speaker 7: not going out with Lennon.
- 1:12:01Speaker 10: I'm sure.
- 1:12:03Speaker 12: Don't look at it. I'm just telling you.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: The daughter's got to get a job.
- 1:12:09Speaker 7: Trade. Yeah, you gotta learn something else.
- 1:12:12Speaker 12: I'm going to be a skilled worker. I'm in the
- 1:12:18Speaker 12: carpentry that day, and that's what I'm feeling.
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: I think we have time for.
- 1:12:23Speaker 15: One more, but you this this is from Lawana on
- 1:12:26Speaker 15: Steve Harvey, Lawana Wrights. I've worked at my job for
- 1:12:29Speaker 15: about six years. It's a small company, about thirty people total,
- 1:12:33Speaker 15: and in my six years, I have been told happy
- 1:12:35Speaker 15: birthday or given a card exactly zero times. Yet the
- 1:12:40Speaker 15: receptionist regularly circulates birthday cards for every other employee when
- 1:12:45Speaker 15: their big day arrives. Finally she brought She brought one
- 1:12:49Speaker 15: to me and I left it unsigned. When she asked why,
- 1:12:51Speaker 15: I told her that it's odd how in my entire
- 1:12:54Speaker 15: time with the company, I've never even gotten one card.
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: So I'm opting out.
- 1:12:59Speaker 15: I mean, we all all have our birthdays on Facebook,
- 1:13:01Speaker 15: so it's not like it's a mystery. So am I
- 1:13:04Speaker 15: being petty? I don't really care about the card. But
- 1:13:06Speaker 15: to me, it's about the disrespect.
- 1:13:09Speaker 7: Fight for your.
- 1:13:10Speaker 10: Birthday, girl, fight for fight for your damn birthday. They're
- 1:13:14Speaker 10: gonna put some re spec on your birthday. Okay, that's right,
- 1:13:17Speaker 10: And the next and the next birthday starts. Send yourself,
- 1:13:20Speaker 10: send yourself a bunch of stuff to the office, but
- 1:13:23Speaker 10: los and everything. Send it to yourself. That's a break
- 1:13:26Speaker 10: by you. Don't worry about her, but don't sign a
- 1:13:28Speaker 10: damn thing on nobody else's call.
- 1:13:31Speaker 13: No right, and your next birthday, Yeah no, no, it's not.
- 1:13:36Speaker 13: You don't never heard that my birthday. I tell you,
- 1:13:37Speaker 13: I'm gonna make sure everybody know it's my birthday.
- 1:13:39Speaker 12: Because he come a band. I'll bring a whole high
- 1:13:41Speaker 12: school band in him. Y'all gonna time, time, time.
- 1:13:45Speaker 5: Time time.
- 1:13:45Speaker 12: You don'na know it me, you gonna know it's me
- 1:13:48Speaker 12: my birthday. You gotta take that is.
- 1:13:52Speaker 14: All right.
- 1:13:53Speaker 15: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming
- 1:13:56Speaker 15: up at about twenty minutes after the.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Hour, right after this You're Hard Morning Show.
- 1:14:04Speaker 15: Well, some of you guys are going too far really
- 1:14:06Speaker 15: with these Halloween decorations. Okay, I mean on this trail
- 1:14:11Speaker 15: where I walk, this family has these big, gigantic skeletons.
- 1:14:15Speaker 15: I mean, whoa, It's just and big headed skeletons all
- 1:14:19Speaker 15: over the It's just creepy and scary looking. There's a
- 1:14:22Speaker 15: house in Glen Falls, New York, decorated with a lit
- 1:14:25Speaker 15: up jack of lanyard, several of them as a matter
- 1:14:28Speaker 15: of fact, and a flame effect inside all three of
- 1:14:31Speaker 15: the homes front facing windows. It makes the house look
- 1:14:35Speaker 15: as if it is engulfed in flames.
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: I saw this. It does look like exactly like that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 15: Firefighters mistakenly would call to the house because people thought
- 1:14:43Speaker 15: the house was on fire. Firefighters said that the house
- 1:14:46Speaker 15: was actually not on fire, and the homeowners achieved the
- 1:14:50Speaker 15: flame effect with two lead lights okay, a box fan
- 1:14:55Speaker 15: and a silver sheet and a fog machine. So if
- 1:14:58Speaker 15: you want to make it look like the house, the
- 1:15:00Speaker 15: d lights, two led lights, a box fan, a silver sheet,
- 1:15:05Speaker 15: and a fog machine.
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: So do you guys step great for Halloween?
- 1:15:08Speaker 10: A lot of people get their ass whip on Halloween
- 1:15:10Speaker 10: because they go too far with this stuff.
- 1:15:13Speaker 7: I'm telling you, black people don't. Black people not doing
- 1:15:15Speaker 7: all that I might do all. We cut our porch
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: light off. We're not even doing this. We're not doing.
- 1:15:22Speaker 12: Y'allm not giving our candy to the baby.
- 1:15:23Speaker 10: If you knock on this dough. I'm telling you it's
- 1:15:26Speaker 10: not gonna go the where you want it to.
- 1:15:27Speaker 7: No, we're not.
- 1:15:29Speaker 13: It's just it's just like my grandmother said, I'm not
- 1:15:31Speaker 13: inviting ghost in spirits in him.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, Happy Halloween.
- 1:15:37Speaker 15: Everybody coming up in thirty three minutes after we'll play
- 1:15:40Speaker 15: around it.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: Would you rather right after this?
- 1:15:43Speaker 7: We don't have no tricks around here.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: You're listening hard morning show.
- 1:15:51Speaker 15: All right, it's time for a round it. Would you rather?
- 1:15:53Speaker 15: Would you rather do it outside than thirty two degree weather?
- 1:15:57Speaker 15: That's freezing right there at thirty two degrees outside? Would
- 1:16:00Speaker 15: you rather do it in a hundred degree weather?
- 1:16:02Speaker 12: I have to take two hundred.
- 1:16:04Speaker 7: You know he gotta take the hundred.
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, he ain't got no option. I ain't got no happening.
- 1:16:11Speaker 12: I did thirty degrees just out here, holling with a sickle.
- 1:16:18Speaker 7: I'm gonna going out there and at thirty two though, Yeah,
- 1:16:20Speaker 7: are you what?
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: Free?
- 1:16:22Speaker 10: We're gonna warm it up. We're gonna, we're gonna, we're
- 1:16:23Speaker 10: gonna melt snow. We're gonna warm it.
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: Uprus Okay, okay, all.
- 1:16:31Speaker 10: Right, I'm the only woman outside nicked in the snow.
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: One yeah, yeah, And I grew up on what you
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: know what?
- 1:16:38Speaker 17: You know what?

- 1:16:43Speaker 10: If y'all can't kill.
- 1:16:46Speaker 15: All right, would you rather receive a mysterious message in
- 1:16:49Speaker 15: a fortune teller's reading, or would you rather have a
- 1:16:51Speaker 15: friendly ghost as your roommate?
- 1:16:55Speaker 7: A ghost.
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: In my heart has your roommate. It's a friendly ghost.
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: We don't know that. I'm telling you it is.
- 1:17:05Speaker 13: You ain't saying ghost on Facebook talking about I'm friendly.
- 1:17:07Speaker 13: I ain't never seen it on Facebook. Give me the
- 1:17:10Speaker 13: fortune tailor.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I can take that.
- 1:17:11Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm gonna deal with the fortune tailor.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: Yeah, we don't do that.
- 1:17:15Speaker 7: Yeah, what's the name back in.
- 1:17:17Speaker 10: The All right?
- 1:17:21Speaker 15: Would you rather be the lead investigator in a haunted
- 1:17:24Speaker 15: house documentary? Or would you rather be the star of
- 1:17:28Speaker 15: a chilling, this really scary horror film.
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: Come on, tell me the actor. Yeah, let's see you start. Actor.
- 1:17:38Speaker 7: I don't mind being in a movie because when we
- 1:17:40Speaker 7: say cut, you better cut now.
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: You better not keep on going with this.
- 1:17:44Speaker 17: Care no.
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: Method act at that time.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: So you're gonna be the star of a chilling horror film, clearly.
- 1:17:53Speaker 7: And it ain't gonna be fifteen minutes. It's gonna be over.
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: Because black people die early.
- 1:17:59Speaker 10: Because I'm in it. It's a short film. I'm not
- 1:18:01Speaker 10: gonna be able to make it to the end.
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: Call. I can't.
- 1:18:04Speaker 15: Junior lead investigator in a hunted house documentary or I'm
- 1:18:08Speaker 15: a lead investment.

- 1:18:15Speaker 13: get y'all last out of that. I told y'all, I
- 1:18:19Speaker 13: don't care.

- 1:18:33Speaker 7: All right, all ghost and gobblins outside.
- 1:18:36Speaker 15: Would you rather say what you're thinking? Or would you
- 1:18:39Speaker 15: rather never say anything again? Would you rather always say
- 1:18:42Speaker 15: what you're thinking, always say what's on your mind, or
- 1:18:45Speaker 15: never say anything again?
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Which one to say?
- 1:18:47Speaker 7: I'm gonna have to say it some on my mind.
- 1:18:49Speaker 10: I'll take anything because that build of stress when you
- 1:18:51Speaker 10: got all that kicked up in that like that, and
- 1:18:53Speaker 10: I'm gonna say whatever that.
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: Okay, all right, thank you guys.
