- 0:00Speaker 1: There's two stories I need to get on your radar
- 0:02Speaker 1: screen real quick, and one of them actually is coming
- 0:04Speaker 1: out of Athens, Greece. The Strait of Hermouse in the
- 0:07Speaker 1: Middle East is hardly the only waterway on President Donald
- 0:12Speaker 1: Trump's mind at the moment. While Trump and the international
- 0:16Speaker 1: media may be talking about the Strait of Hormoves non stop,
- 0:19Speaker 1: the broader question about other sea lanes and shipping waterways
- 0:24Speaker 1: have very much dominated the geopolitical discussions worldwide upon Trump's
- 0:29Speaker 1: return to the White House and have been at the center
- 0:32Speaker 1: of actual tensions between the US and China, and that
- 0:35Speaker 1: is set for a worldwide primetime showdown when President Trump
- 0:40Speaker 1: visits Beijing in May. A top Greek government official is
- 0:46Speaker 1: now talking about this on how Trump and his envoy
- 0:51Speaker 1: to the Hellenic Republic have out maneuvered the Chinese president
- 0:55Speaker 1: Ggping in the East Mediterranean by by building its own
- 1:01Speaker 1: US funded port after a Chinese Communist Party connected company
- 1:06Speaker 1: took over a Greek port during Trump's first term. You
- 1:09Speaker 1: notice the media has not been covering this story at all.
- 1:13Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:14Speaker 1: The current Minister of Health of Greece, who also serves
- 1:17Speaker 1: as the vice president of the governing party New Democracy,
- 1:22Speaker 1: set down with Breitbart for a lengthy interview in February.
- 1:27Speaker 1: They actually traveled to Athens for this event with the
- 1:30Speaker 1: US ambassador to Grease. You may know her as Don
- 1:33Speaker 1: Junior's ex girlfriend former Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle. Gilfoyle
- 1:39Speaker 1: sat for lengthy interview on stage at an event in Athens,
- 1:43Speaker 1: and she hosted Greek business people as well in mid February. Now,
- 1:48Speaker 1: back in nineteen in Trump's first term in the White House,
- 1:51Speaker 1: they talked about this being a real problem and the
- 1:54Speaker 1: fact that China was well building these ports and that
- 1:59Speaker 1: was putting a mayor in a very bad spot. This
- 2:02Speaker 1: company that they claimed was doing at the time was
- 2:05Speaker 1: called Costco.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Not like the store Cosco.
- 2:09Speaker 1: It had already bought up many of the different areas
- 2:12Speaker 1: they needed inquitding bring in the board members. And then
- 2:16Speaker 1: the ambassador said, they came to office and they told
- 2:19Speaker 1: me they wanted to buy another shipyard. They explained, it's
- 2:23Speaker 1: a Chinese state company. It's not a private company. Costco again,
- 2:29Speaker 1: this Chinese company belongs literally to the Chinese government. The
- 2:36Speaker 1: very same company, is what it's worth. This spring called
- 2:40Speaker 1: off operations in Panama over the Panamanian government's move to
- 2:45Speaker 1: strip Chinese companies of the operations of the port on
- 2:49Speaker 1: both ends of the Panama Canal. That was a move
- 2:52Speaker 1: that was viewed as retaliation against the Panamanians after the
- 2:56Speaker 1: Trump administration held the move and Western companies are set
- 3:00Speaker 1: to handle the ports until a competitive bid process plays out.
- 3:04Speaker 1: In other words, China doesn't have their monopoly there anymore.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Secretary of State Marco Rubio also praised the move by
- 3:11Speaker 1: the Panama Supreme Court and Costco's move is not the
- 3:15Speaker 1: only retaliation China has unleashed on Panama. The country is also,
- 3:21Speaker 1: according to sources who revealed this in March, threatened to
- 3:24Speaker 1: detain Panama flag vessels at Chinese ports.
- 3:28Speaker 2: This is not a joke.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Now, all of this is happening, and the President seems
- 3:33Speaker 1: to understand just how important it is to our foreign
- 3:36Speaker 1: policy to make sure that China is not able to
- 3:40Speaker 1: just own these ports and to force America out or
- 3:44Speaker 1: control the water weights. Definitely, that was part of their
- 3:47Speaker 1: plan in the Panama Canal. Now, this also brings us
- 3:50Speaker 1: back to the other issue in Iran and the straight
- 3:53Speaker 1: up Hormus jd vance coming out saying this about the
- 3:57Speaker 1: Iranians and warning that we will not allow it to happen. Now,
- 4:01Speaker 1: before I play that audio, I want to talk to
- 4:03Speaker 1: you about a really important moment in a real way
- 4:06Speaker 1: that you can help the people in Israel, and that
- 4:09Speaker 1: is with the IFCJ. I want to take a moment
- 4:12Speaker 1: and talk to you about a man named Phineas who
- 4:15Speaker 1: has a child survived the Holocaust. Phineas survived because Christians
- 4:21Speaker 1: hid him from the Nazis, risking everything to save his life. Today,
- 4:27Speaker 1: he is in his eighties, He can no longer stand
- 4:30Speaker 1: on his own or leave his home to receive medical care,
- 4:33Speaker 1: and when the siren sounds and the missiles fall, he
- 4:36Speaker 1: doesn't have time or the strength to reach safety. But
- 4:40Speaker 1: once again, Christians are helping save his life. Through the
- 4:44Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews, a mobile clinic brings
- 4:48Speaker 1: doctors and medicine right inside of his home, providing care
- 4:52Speaker 1: he wouldn't receive, especially in wartime. Christians saved my life
- 4:57Speaker 1: during the Holocaust, he said, and now now again they're
- 5:01Speaker 1: helping me. So as Israel's Holocaust Remembrance Day approaches, we
- 5:06Speaker 1: honor survivors like Phineas, not just with words, but with action.
- 5:10Speaker 1: Give forty five dollars right now, and you can rush
- 5:14Speaker 1: life saving essentials to the vulnerable in Israel under fire
- 5:18Speaker 1: eight and eight four eight eight IFCJ that's eight eight
- 5:22Speaker 1: eight four eight eight if CJ. Or go online to
- 5:27Speaker 1: IFCJ dot org. That's if CJ dot org.
- 5:32Speaker 3: We have the leverage, and we're going to see what
- 5:34Speaker 3: the Iranians do with that.
- 5:36Speaker 2: And so that's how the blockade works.
- 5:38Speaker 4: US naval ships stop Iranian flagged vessels going to the
- 5:42Speaker 4: straight through the Strait of Removes.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Not just Iranian flagged vessels, Brett, but any vessel that
- 5:47Speaker 3: we know is going to Iranian ports or has come
- 5:49Speaker 3: from Iranian ports. You're probably gonna see some vessels try
- 5:53Speaker 3: to reflag themselves. But of course we're gonna know because
- 5:55Speaker 3: we have very good intelligence which ships are going in
- 5:58Speaker 3: and which ships are coming out that are connected to
- 6:00Speaker 3: Iran But Brett, here's the very interesting thing about all
- 6:04Speaker 3: this is that the only thing the Iranians have been
- 6:07Speaker 3: able to do. They haven't, of course beaten US militarily,
- 6:09Speaker 3: they've had their military been decimated, they haven't been able
- 6:12Speaker 3: to prosecute the case when it comes to weapons of war.
- 6:16Speaker 3: What they have done is engage in this act of
- 6:19Speaker 3: economic terrorism against the entire world. They basically threatened any
- 6:22Speaker 3: ship that's moving through the Straits of Hormuz.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Well, as a president of.
- 6:25Speaker 3: The United States showed, two can play at that game.
- 6:27Speaker 3: And if the Iranians are going to try to engage
- 6:29Speaker 3: in economic terrorism, we're going to abide by a simple
- 6:32Speaker 3: principle that no Iranian ships are getting out either.
- 6:35Speaker 2: We know that's a big deal to them.
- 6:37Speaker 3: We know that applies additional economic leverage. And again, Brett,
- 6:40Speaker 3: the President wants the Iranian people to thrive and succeed.
- 6:44Speaker 3: He has had his negotiation team put on the table
- 6:48Speaker 3: a serious proposal the balls in Iran's court.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Did we make progress, Yes, but we're going to find out.
- 6:53Speaker 3: From the Iranians whether we can make that ultimate bit
- 6:56Speaker 3: of progress that gets us to.
- 6:57Speaker 2: A big deal.
- 6:58Speaker 1: Now, the words that we're used there by the Knights
- 7:00Speaker 1: this president are very clear that this is becoming a
- 7:03Speaker 1: trend act of economic terrorism. It is designed by Iran
- 7:08Speaker 1: to choke off energy supplies and destabilize global markets. And
- 7:13Speaker 1: at the center of the crisis is, yes, the Straight
- 7:15Speaker 1: of Woor moves. It's that waterway that the President said
- 7:19Speaker 1: is controlling about twenty percent of the world's oil supply.
- 7:23Speaker 1: That is what passes through there, and right now that
- 7:27Speaker 1: choke hold has become ground zero. Iran obviously has threatened
- 7:31Speaker 1: the shipping routes. Oil prices have searched past one hundred
- 7:35Speaker 1: of barrel. The global markets are trying to figure out
- 7:38Speaker 1: what to do in real time. And Vance's message is
- 7:42Speaker 1: now actually really simple. This isn't just about the Middle East.
- 7:46Speaker 1: This is about the global economy being held hostage.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Now.
- 7:50Speaker 1: That also goes back to the President and what he
- 7:53Speaker 1: said today. There has to be a maximum pressure campaign
- 7:58Speaker 1: and that is where the story turns. Where the Trump
- 8:00Speaker 1: administration is framing this as a moment of strength. President
- 8:04Speaker 1: Trump has made it clear I'm going to take decisive action.
- 8:07Speaker 2: Number one.
- 8:08Speaker 1: This US naval blockade targeting Iranian ports is now literally underway.
- 8:14Speaker 1: The US forces are actively securing key shipping lanes, and
- 8:19Speaker 1: the administration is demanding that Iran reopened the straight off
- 8:22Speaker 1: moves and the biggest demand is that Iran hald its
- 8:27Speaker 1: nuclear ambitions.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Now.
- 8:29Speaker 1: All of this, according to Vance, is the pressure campaign
- 8:33Speaker 1: and its producing results. He said the US had made
- 8:36Speaker 1: a lot of progress in the talks and that the
- 8:38Speaker 1: next move is.
- 8:39Speaker 2: Now on Iran.
- 8:41Speaker 1: There are also, at this hour signs of movement behind
- 8:45Speaker 1: the scenes. There are signs that the strategy is working.
- 8:49Speaker 1: US officials now say Iran is under intense economic and
- 8:53Speaker 1: military pressure. There are reports of renewed outreach and discussions
- 8:57Speaker 1: with the US, and even after the talk stalled, the
- 9:01Speaker 1: US gained valuable intelligence on Iran's negotiating position as well.
- 9:06Speaker 1: President Trump has also suggested that Iran is feeling the
- 9:10Speaker 1: pressure and maybe looking to make a deal that would
- 9:13Speaker 1: be a major turning point. This is what the administration
- 9:18Speaker 1: is now calling a two track strategy. As I talked
- 9:21Speaker 1: to many at the White House, they described it this way.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Number one force economic pressure, then sanctions, naval power, and
- 9:30Speaker 1: number two the negotiations giving Iran a path to rejoining
- 9:36Speaker 1: the global economy. Vance has framed it clearly. Now with
- 9:40Speaker 1: these new talking points, Iran has literally only two choices.
- 9:45Speaker 1: Rejoined the world and abandoned terrorism, or you face the
- 9:51Speaker 1: escalating economic isolation. And that is really what is at
- 9:55Speaker 1: stake here. This moment is about more than politics. It's
- 9:59Speaker 1: about global energy markets, supply chains, and the risk of
- 10:04Speaker 1: a broader regional conflict. A regional war. The stakes are massive.
- 10:11Speaker 1: But what the present seems to be doing each and
- 10:13Speaker 1: every day, and the Vice President obviously making this clear,
- 10:17Speaker 1: what they believe is they have isolated a rand to
- 10:21Speaker 1: the point where they're going to have to come back
- 10:23Speaker 1: to the table and give up their nuclear program. If
- 10:28Speaker 1: that happens, it's not just a win for the United
- 10:30Speaker 1: States of America, it's a win for national security worldwide.
- 10:35Speaker 3: Now.
- 10:35Speaker 1: The President also saying at the White House that America
- 10:38Speaker 1: is not going to negotiate with terrorists if it's coming
- 10:43Speaker 1: down to the issue of nuclear weapons. The President believes
- 10:46Speaker 1: that this maximum pressure campaign will deliver what he has
- 10:50Speaker 1: said it was a mandate from the very beginning. Iran
- 10:54Speaker 1: obviously is trying to see just how much they can
- 10:57Speaker 1: push the envelope. So far, it's been a disaster for
- 11:01Speaker 1: them and has cost countless leaders of Iran their lives.
- 11:05Speaker 1: The President also make me it clear he's not afraid
- 11:09Speaker 1: of taking out even more Iranian leadership if he needs to. Well,
- 11:14Speaker 1: we know what the Democrats are going to say ahead
- 11:17Speaker 1: of the midterms that Donald Trump is a narcissistic, reckless
- 11:22Speaker 1: person that cannot be trusted with power. Not kidding that
- 11:29Speaker 1: is now what is being said. Hillary Clinton is now
- 11:33Speaker 1: the face I guess of all of this. Reining in,
- 11:37Speaker 1: she says, a reckless Trump before he does irrepairable damage
- 11:42Speaker 1: is the new talking point, as she called into Morning
- 11:45Speaker 1: Joe the former Secretary of State, saying Republicans need to
- 11:49Speaker 1: reign in the president otherwise it could destroy America.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Here she is, in her own words.
- 11:57Speaker 5: Render deal by Trump. But the bigger question is what
- 12:00Speaker 5: does Trump do now? You know, I teach a course
- 12:02Speaker 5: at Columbia University with the dean of the School of
- 12:05Speaker 5: International Public Affairs. We've been on your program, and among
- 12:09Speaker 5: the things we teach is behavior of leaders. And there's
- 12:12Speaker 5: something called domain of loss, which means when a leader
- 12:16Speaker 5: feels that he's losing, he actually becomes more reckless. And
- 12:22Speaker 5: I fear that with Trump. You know, he's found the
- 12:25Speaker 5: joy of ordering our military to go do things that
- 12:28Speaker 5: give him a lot of dopamine. I guess when he's
- 12:31Speaker 5: in the situation room watching them, you know, take out
- 12:35Speaker 5: Maduro from you know, Venezuela, or attack Iran or whatever.
- 12:41Speaker 5: I just worried that he's going to become more reckless.
- 12:43Speaker 5: And this is a call to the Congress, including the
- 12:48Speaker 5: Republicans to step up and do your constitutional duty. Rein
- 12:54Speaker 5: in this president before he causes absolutely irreparable damage to
- 13:01Speaker 5: our country, to our military, standing, to our authority and leadership.
- 13:07Speaker 5: Do not let him continue to be a rogue player
- 13:11Speaker 5: in the international arena, because I fear he will get
- 13:16Speaker 5: more reckless. And I will tell you when we win
- 13:18Speaker 5: these mid term elections, because look, if the elections were
- 13:21Speaker 5: today or next week or the following week, we would
- 13:23Speaker 5: win both the House and the Senate. And I hope
- 13:25Speaker 5: that's what happens in November, both because I want to
- 13:28Speaker 5: see change, but also I want to see him held accountable.
- 13:32Speaker 5: And so let's do it now, because I'm not sure
- 13:36Speaker 5: we can wait and allow him free range to along
- 13:41Speaker 5: with his buddy Hagsath to you know, tell our military
- 13:45Speaker 5: to go do things that are not even in the
- 13:47Speaker 5: interests of the United States, as well as breaching, you know,
- 13:51Speaker 5: the laws of war. So look, I worry a lot
- 13:55Speaker 5: about how more irrational and unhinged he could become.
- 14:01Speaker 1: You listen to Hillary Clinton there, and the translation from
- 14:05Speaker 1: what you just heard is we are going to impeach
- 14:08Speaker 1: Donald Trump if we win the midterms.
- 14:11Speaker 2: We are going to impeach him. We're going to go
- 14:12Speaker 2: after head seth. We're going to go after JD.
- 14:15Speaker 1: Vance, and we're going to overthrow the will of the
- 14:18Speaker 1: people because you cannot trust the American people to choose
- 14:23Speaker 1: their leader. That is what Hillary Clinton is advocating for there. This,
- 14:28Speaker 1: by the way, should not be surprising at all, because
- 14:32Speaker 1: it's exactly what the Democrats did in twenty sixteen when
- 14:35Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton lost the election. What do the Democrats do?
- 14:39Speaker 1: They said, Oh, no, no, we'll fix it. Don't worry,
- 14:43Speaker 1: we will fix it. How do they do it? They said,
- 14:49Speaker 1: And I'll go back to the FBI. Peter struckle'sa Paige.
- 14:52Speaker 1: We're not going to let that happen. Right, We're going
- 14:54Speaker 1: to go after the president. We're going to entrap him.
- 14:58Speaker 1: We're going to get him out of all. We will
- 15:01Speaker 1: get rid of him. Now, what's amazing this time is,
- 15:06Speaker 1: I guess you could say how tone death, and it
- 15:09Speaker 1: really is tone death.
- 15:11Speaker 2: How tone death.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton seems to be over what she did in
- 15:17Speaker 1: the past. And that is the part here that is
- 15:21Speaker 1: truly shocking to me, is that she's like, let's go
- 15:25Speaker 1: back and do the exact same thing that we did before,
- 15:29Speaker 1: and we'll see if it happens to work. She wasn't
- 15:34Speaker 1: done there by the way. The second part of the interview,
- 15:39Speaker 1: and you're gonna hear it here with Morning Joe hosts
- 15:42Speaker 1: and co hosts Mika and Joe Scarborough, but listen to
- 15:46Speaker 1: how they're trying to rally the troops to the Democratic
- 15:48Speaker 1: Party that hey, we can get rid of Trump, we
- 15:51Speaker 1: can get rid of anybody that we want to if
- 15:54Speaker 1: you just give us power in the midterms. And Hillary
- 15:57Speaker 1: Clinton's like, well, you can't even wait till then, which
- 15:59Speaker 1: is insane.
- 16:01Speaker 4: Let's talk about Israel. You spoke briefly about Netanyaho in Israel.
- 16:04Speaker 4: I know you've always been a strong supporter of Israel.
- 16:07Speaker 4: You've spoken out aggressively against anti Semitism.
- 16:11Speaker 2: You've in fact been attacked.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Time and time again when you give speeches because people
- 16:18Speaker 4: believe that you are too.
- 16:20Speaker 2: Strong of a supporter of Israel.
- 16:22Speaker 4: And yet i've heard you and President Clinton talk about
- 16:28Speaker 4: the tragedy of how far Netanyah, who has taken us
- 16:32Speaker 4: from where the Clinton administration had us in the Oslo Accords,
- 16:37Speaker 4: where there was an extraordinary deal for the Palestinians that
- 16:41Speaker 4: they passed up on, which led to the saying to
- 16:44Speaker 4: begin the Palestinians ever passed up an opportunity, to pass
- 16:47Speaker 4: up an opportunity that said, here we are all these
- 16:51Speaker 4: years later, and net Yahoo continuing an endless war, the
- 16:57Speaker 4: bombing of it seems like half of Lebanon. And we
- 17:00Speaker 4: saw what happened in Gaza. Every day, horrors being visited
- 17:06Speaker 4: upon the people of the West Bank. Talk about UH,
- 17:11Speaker 4: talk about the real damage that Benjamin Yahoo is doing, not.
- 17:17Speaker 2: Just to the region, but also to Israel.
- 17:19Speaker 4: You've seen, you've seen how a majority of Americans have
- 17:23Speaker 4: now turned against Israel in our time.
- 17:27Speaker 2: That was unheard of. Madam Secretary. What what's the future
- 17:32Speaker 2: for Israel?
- 17:33Speaker 5: Well, he's got a pretty good summary of the problem. Joe,
- 17:37Speaker 5: I do support Israel. I am a staunch supporter of Israel,
- 17:41Speaker 5: and I am a staunch opponent of Benjamin Netyazu. He
- 17:44Speaker 5: has stayed too long. He has, in my view, undermined
- 17:49Speaker 5: Israel's long term UH security, and I am very worried
- 17:56Speaker 5: about what's happening. You know, when people say, well, you've
- 17:59Speaker 5: got to support now Yahoo if you are you know
- 18:03Speaker 5: pro ISRAELI or Israel, well, I say, look, I love
- 18:08Speaker 5: America and I'm really opposed to Donald Trump. Does that
- 18:11Speaker 5: make me anti American? I don't think so. It makes
- 18:14Speaker 5: me a you know, fair observer in my view of
- 18:18Speaker 5: you know, assessing what is in the best interests of
- 18:21Speaker 5: my country. And I feel the same way about Israel.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Now.
- 18:25Speaker 5: Look, I think there has been a very important effort
- 18:30Speaker 5: to push back and to defeat the axis of the
- 18:37Speaker 5: enemies that Iran put together Hamas, which remember started, you know,
- 18:42Speaker 5: the terrible sequence of events back on October seventh of
- 18:46Speaker 5: twenty twenty three, and his law. But we see his
- 18:50Speaker 5: law is not by any means defeated because we're engaged
- 18:53Speaker 5: in an war now in southern Lebanon. I would wish
- 18:59Speaker 5: the following number one, And finally, there seems to be
- 19:03Speaker 5: some opening here. I've been advocating behind the scenes for
- 19:06Speaker 5: this now for several months. Israel should support this Lebanese government.
- 19:11Speaker 5: There has not been a better Lebanese government since the
- 19:15Speaker 5: Syrians and Iranians assassinated hereri They are trying, they do,
- 19:20Speaker 5: they have all the capacity they need, know but they
- 19:24Speaker 5: are trying to set up a government in Lebanon that
- 19:28Speaker 5: can deal with the threat that his law poses internally
- 19:32Speaker 5: to Lebanon and so rather than making their task even harder,
- 19:37Speaker 5: you know, work with this new government in Lebanon. See
- 19:40Speaker 5: how far you can help them to go to disarm
- 19:43Speaker 5: his law, to create better conditions for a lasting, secure
- 19:49Speaker 5: peace between Lebanon and Israel, and for Heaven's sakes, rein
- 19:53Speaker 5: in the settler violence. It is unacceptable. The West Bank
- 19:58Speaker 5: is filled with people pople who want a better future
- 20:01Speaker 5: for themselves and their families. Let's help them with that.
- 20:05Speaker 5: Let's make it more likely that they could be allies
- 20:09Speaker 5: instead of adversaries. But if you're going to continue to
- 20:12Speaker 5: blow up their homes and allow people to destroy their
- 20:14Speaker 5: olive growth and everything else that is going on now,
- 20:18Speaker 5: you're just creating the next generation of people who are
- 20:21Speaker 5: going to hate what is next door to them in Israel.
- 20:24Speaker 5: That is no way to try to create a secure
- 20:28Speaker 5: Israel going forward.
- 20:30Speaker 1: Isn't it interesting how Hillary Clinton there just completely contradicts herself.
- 20:34Speaker 1: She's like, I'm the biggest advocate for Israel, but I
- 20:38Speaker 1: hate the Israeli leader and I think he is a
- 20:39Speaker 1: terrible person and we should be done with them. And
- 20:41Speaker 1: then she immediately says that Israel is evil and mean
- 20:46Speaker 1: because they're blowing up terrists homes and making a buffer
- 20:51Speaker 1: zone because of the terrorists Hamas and hesblah that she
- 20:57Speaker 1: admits are a terrorist group, a terrorist organization. Like the
- 21:01Speaker 1: idea here that Hillary Clinton is still the leader de
- 21:05Speaker 1: facto in the Democratic Party in many ways, and you're hearing.
- 21:09Speaker 2: It during this interview.
- 21:11Speaker 1: She is acting as if she is the king maker
- 21:14Speaker 1: moving forward, and she very well may be. That is
- 21:20Speaker 1: like legitimate, real, real possibility. I think it is shocking
- 21:27Speaker 1: to hear her describe the situation the way she is
- 21:31Speaker 1: and at the same time say I am pro Israel.
- 21:34Speaker 1: If that is pro Israel, then don't count me in
- 21:37Speaker 1: because I would never want to act as if and
- 21:40Speaker 1: talk about Israel the way that Hillary Clinton is. So
- 21:43Speaker 1: as we go into these midterms, understand the playbook is
- 21:47Speaker 1: still the same. Have a weak foreign policy, criticize your
- 21:52Speaker 1: allies more than the terrorists. You just heard it from
- 21:55Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton there, and we're going to get rid of
- 22:00Speaker 1: Trump at all costs. That is the entire ballgame. The
- 22:07Speaker 1: question every American should be asking right now is what
- 22:11Speaker 1: do the Democrats know, When do they know it? And
- 22:14Speaker 1: for how long have they been covering up the abuse
- 22:17Speaker 1: at the hands of Congressman Eric Swalwell. Now, multiple women
- 22:22Speaker 1: at least four have now come forward accusing Swalwell of
- 22:26Speaker 1: sexual misconduct, including allegations of sexual assault, non consensual contact,
- 22:32Speaker 1: sending explicit messages and images, and in the most serious case,
- 22:37Speaker 1: an allegation of rape involving a former staffer. One accusation
- 22:43Speaker 1: involves an allegend counter in twenty twenty four that prosecutors
- 22:47Speaker 1: are now reviewing. Swalwell has denied the most serious allegations,
- 22:53Speaker 1: calling them false as he's resigned from Congress, but acknowledges
- 22:58Speaker 1: mistakes and judgment as he described it, and said his
- 23:02Speaker 1: resignation was meant to avoid becoming a distraction. Now, the
- 23:06Speaker 1: other part of this story that's really important to understand
- 23:09Speaker 1: is why all of this and the investigations are now
- 23:13Speaker 1: becoming the center point of Eric Swalwell's demise.
- 23:17Speaker 2: This was done by design.
- 23:19Speaker 1: Democrats knew for quite some time about what was going
- 23:23Speaker 1: on behind closed doors with Eric Swalwell, and they did
- 23:27Speaker 1: everything they could to protect him and make sure that
- 23:30Speaker 1: none of what they're now reporting on saw the light
- 23:33Speaker 1: of day. The only thing that changed was Eric Swalwell
- 23:38Speaker 1: was going to ruin. They believe their chances in the
- 23:42Speaker 1: governor's mansion could cost them the governor's mansion in California,
- 23:47Speaker 1: and that is why they decided to get rid of him. Now,
- 23:52Speaker 1: which brings us to all of the known investigations.
- 23:56Speaker 2: This is what has been confirmed so far.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Number One, there was a House Ethics Committee investigation investigating
- 24:05Speaker 1: the alleged sexual misconduct, including towards a staff member, that
- 24:09Speaker 1: could have led to discipline or expulsion if he stayed
- 24:12Speaker 1: in Congress, which is part of the reason why he
- 24:14Speaker 1: decided to resign.
- 24:16Speaker 2: Now.
- 24:16Speaker 1: To be clear, the same Democrats that are saying we
- 24:19Speaker 1: got to kick him out where the same ones protecting
- 24:23Speaker 1: him when apparently he was sleeping with a Chinese spy.
- 24:27Speaker 1: Which brings us to Number two. The Manhattan District Attorney
- 24:32Speaker 1: criminal probe that is now investigating at least one allegation
- 24:37Speaker 1: of sexual assault, and it focuses on a reported twenty
- 24:41Speaker 1: twenty four incident in New York City. The question becomes
- 24:45Speaker 1: obvious again, what did the Democrats know and when did
- 24:49Speaker 1: they know it? Number Three an additional local prosecutor review
- 24:54Speaker 1: in California, Yes, Liberal California. The LA Times has said
- 24:59Speaker 1: that authority they are reviewing whether criminal conduct occurred in
- 25:03Speaker 1: their jurisdiction. We go back to the same question, what
- 25:08Speaker 1: did the Democrats know, when do they know it? And
- 25:12Speaker 1: how long have they been covering it up? And then
- 25:15Speaker 1: there's the fourth investigation that we know about. It involves
- 25:19Speaker 1: the Department of Homeland Security looking into claims involving in
- 25:23Speaker 1: nanny allegedly working without proper authorization. Now at least three
- 25:28Speaker 1: separate investigative tracts are happening that would be congressional, criminal,
- 25:33Speaker 1: and federal.
- 25:35Speaker 2: They're all active at the same time.
- 25:38Speaker 1: Now, these aren't the only controversies that have erupted over
- 25:41Speaker 1: the last week. There's now the new nanny controversy that
- 25:45Speaker 1: is separate from the misconduct allegations. It's another controversy that
- 25:49Speaker 1: has absolutely exploded because Democrats are willing to destroy Eric
- 25:53Speaker 1: Swawell to protect the governor's mansion in California from going
- 25:57Speaker 1: to a Republican. They knew about this for quite some time.
- 26:02Speaker 1: The allegations are this that he continued to employ her
- 26:06Speaker 1: after her visa status lapsed, paying her in properly or
- 26:11Speaker 1: even under the table, and using campaign funds to cover
- 26:16Speaker 1: childcare expenses for his own family. Now Here are the
- 26:21Speaker 1: key distinctions that you need to understand. All of these
- 26:24Speaker 1: claims are under investigation. They originated from a formal complaint,
- 26:29Speaker 1: but that complaint was filed by a figure described in
- 26:32Speaker 1: reporting as a conspiracy theorist, which raises credibility questions. I
- 26:38Speaker 1: wish I was joking. I'm literally not, but the Democrats said,
- 26:42Speaker 1: let's do it anyway. Federal agencies, including DHS, are reviewing
- 26:47Speaker 1: the allegations, but no findings of wrongdoing have been announced yet.
- 26:51Speaker 1: But the damage had already been done. And that was
- 26:54Speaker 1: the whole plan of the Democratic Party, which brings us
- 26:58Speaker 1: back to the big question I mentioned at the beginning,
- 27:01Speaker 1: What did the Democrats know and win? And that is
- 27:04Speaker 1: where the facts mattered the most. What is confirmed is
- 27:08Speaker 1: this Democratic leaders quickly called for accountability only after they
- 27:14Speaker 1: saw the poll numbers showing that Eric Swalwell could be
- 27:18Speaker 1: a spoiler. It is absolutely wild how the Democratic Party
- 27:22Speaker 1: literally covered up for Eric Swalwell for decades because it
- 27:27Speaker 1: suited their political purposes. In this new wave of sexual assault,
- 27:32Speaker 1: accusations against.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Squawell only hit on Friday.
- 27:37Speaker 1: In the time since, a number in the media and
- 27:41Speaker 1: the political sphere have claimed that they knew all along.
- 27:44Speaker 1: That the California congressman was at best a pest and
- 27:48Speaker 1: at worst involved in behavior that might be criminal, but
- 27:52Speaker 1: they never went public with that information for decades as
- 27:56Speaker 1: they enabled him, made him bigger, more powerful, and even
- 28:00Speaker 1: covered for him when it was exposed that he was
- 28:02Speaker 1: sleeping with a Chinese spy named Fang Feng. Local reporter,
- 28:07Speaker 1: for example, Stephen Tavares, author of The East Bay Insider,
- 28:12Speaker 1: said that he had been covering Swawell for more than
- 28:15Speaker 1: a decade, beginning when he was just a member of
- 28:18Speaker 1: the Dublin City Council, and that he and others had
- 28:21Speaker 1: been well aware of Swalwell's well excitement that he liked
- 28:26Speaker 1: in his life for years.
- 28:28Speaker 2: Quote.
- 28:29Speaker 1: I've covered Eric Swalwell since he was a member of
- 28:31Speaker 1: the city council shortly after being elected to Congress in
- 28:34Speaker 1: twenty thirteen.
- 28:35Speaker 2: His behavior towards.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Women was known by all levels of our local government
- 28:41Speaker 1: and the Alameda County Democratic Party, is what the reporter
- 28:46Speaker 1: posted on X, adding don't get it twisted. Nobody has
- 28:50Speaker 1: been more critical of Swawel over the years. I tried
- 28:53Speaker 1: repeatedly to get those stories out. I can't force women
- 28:57Speaker 1: to speak out, and when they choose not to. I
- 29:00Speaker 1: didn't publish. I also knew that Swalwell was known for
- 29:04Speaker 1: threatening litigation. But as critics are pointing out, and I'm
- 29:09Speaker 1: one of them, knowing information like that and not reporting
- 29:13Speaker 1: it could put young women on his staff and around
- 29:16Speaker 1: him at risk. Radio hosts Dana lash summed it up
- 29:20Speaker 1: this way, saying, quote, and at no time did you think, gee,
- 29:26Speaker 1: maybe I should report about this.
- 29:28Speaker 2: She's absolutely right.
- 29:30Speaker 1: You're giving yourself a lot of undeserved credit with the
- 29:33Speaker 1: words covered when you knew this information for at least
- 29:37Speaker 1: thirteen years before Swalwell was in Congress and never reported it.
- 29:42Speaker 1: Is what another conservative commentator said about the local man
- 29:46Speaker 1: that claimed, I've been covering him for years and I
- 29:49Speaker 1: wanted to report it, but I just couldn't. And it
- 29:52Speaker 1: wasn't just by the way local journalists who said they
- 29:55Speaker 1: had known for a long time that they had dirt
- 29:57Speaker 1: on Swalwell. Swalwell's situation, it was shall we say quote,
- 30:01Speaker 1: widely rumored. And it's interesting that the gossip doesn't seem
- 30:05Speaker 1: to have made its way all the way to the
- 30:07Speaker 1: big shots out west. Is what a Bloomberg columnist wrote
- 30:11Speaker 1: this morning. Progressive activists and commentators also are among those
- 30:17Speaker 1: claiming to have known years earlier that Swalwell's behavior was problematic,
- 30:22Speaker 1: one of them saying this okay, justin show how in
- 30:25Speaker 1: saying this is I was aggressively hit on two separate
- 30:30Speaker 1: times by Eric Swalwell, one after a DNC meeting at
- 30:34Speaker 1: the hotel in front of a ton of notable folks,
- 30:37Speaker 1: and one in my DMS. I don't think he remembered
- 30:41Speaker 1: me from the first time when he hit on me
- 30:44Speaker 1: or hit me up in DMS, is what the liberal
- 30:47Speaker 1: influencer posts on Saturday. I showed disinterests and like many others,
- 30:52Speaker 1: heard stories, which makes me wonder why House leadership, who
- 30:57Speaker 1: most certainly knew continue to protect a mini without looking
- 31:01Speaker 1: into it, the liberal commentator continued, And how pathological of
- 31:07Speaker 1: him to pressure and allegedly essay subordinates and think he
- 31:13Speaker 1: was protected question mark. I hope the New York AG's
- 31:16Speaker 1: Office investigates thoroughly and it sends a message to other
- 31:20Speaker 1: people in power who sexually abuse and harassed to stop
- 31:23Speaker 1: and get out of politics, and for other survivors to
- 31:26Speaker 1: know they have a voice and power. Now, this goes
- 31:30Speaker 1: back to the core question, how many years or even decades.
- 31:36Speaker 1: Did Democrats know what he was doing and they did
- 31:40Speaker 1: everything in their power to make it disappear. That is
- 31:45Speaker 1: the question that everyone needs to be asking right now.
- 31:48Speaker 1: Swalwell is done, but not because he did anything wrong,
- 31:53Speaker 1: but because the Democratic Party was worried they could lose
- 31:58Speaker 1: the governor's mansion in California. That is the only reason
- 32:02Speaker 1: why any of this is coming out right now. And
- 32:06Speaker 1: so if you think the Democrats are doing the right thing,
- 32:09Speaker 1: you're wrong. Thank goodness, they've gotten rid of him, whether
- 32:14Speaker 1: it was for the right or wrong reason, at least
- 32:16Speaker 1: now he's been exposed for exactly who he is. Don't
