- 0:00Speaker 1: Last week, in the immediate aftermath of the FBI's raid
- 0:04Speaker 1: on Mara Lago, we discussed on this show the potential corruption,
- 0:09Speaker 1: the potential abuses that could have taken place at the
- 0:13Speaker 1: DOJ and the FBI and the White House and all
- 0:16Speaker 1: over the political culture that called this raid. Now, with
- 0:21Speaker 1: the hindsight of one week, we can say with certainty
- 0:25Speaker 1: that the corruption and abuse was much much worse. This
- 0:29Speaker 1: is Verdict with Ted Cruz. This episode of Verdict with

- 2:30Speaker 1: and of course over at Verdict plus on locals. Senator.
- 2:35Speaker 1: Last week we were shooting from the hip. The information
- 2:39Speaker 1: was constantly changing about the Marlago raid. We were told
- 2:43Speaker 1: initially it was over classified documents, then we were told
- 2:46Speaker 1: it might be over nuclear secrets. Then that kind of
- 2:50Speaker 1: seemed to fall apart. Given the timing of the warrants
- 2:52Speaker 1: and the raid, and the fact that we're already eighteen
- 2:54Speaker 1: nineteen months into the Biden administration. Now we've got the
- 2:58Speaker 1: hindsight of one week. Is there any justification for the raid?
- 3:03Speaker 1: No good one. What is really distressing looking now at
- 3:07Speaker 1: the warrant and what they were searching for. This was
- 3:11Speaker 1: a phishing expedition. It was an old fashioned fishing expedition.
- 3:15Speaker 1: I actually think it had little to nothing to do
- 3:18Speaker 1: with classified documents. What this was about was January sixth.
- 3:22Speaker 1: What this was about was the FBI and DOJ wanting
- 3:25Speaker 1: to send in a team to say, let's grab every
- 3:27Speaker 1: piece of paper we can find and maybe we'll get
- 3:30Speaker 1: something incriminating. And look, that's not a new thing for
- 3:32Speaker 1: law enforcement to do. Sometimes you know, if you're going
- 3:35Speaker 1: after al Capone, you try to go after him on
- 3:38Speaker 1: income tax evasion. It's not new for law enforcement to
- 3:42Speaker 1: try to find a hook. And so the classified documents,
- 3:45Speaker 1: the presidential records, they had a hook to say, Well,
- 3:48Speaker 1: he may have brought a piece of paper or maybe
- 3:51Speaker 1: multiple pieces of paper that we've asked for back, and
- 3:54Speaker 1: so we've got a claim to send in the troops.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I got to say, though, look, we have a long
- 4:03Speaker 1: tradition in this country of a peaceful transfer of power.
- 4:07Speaker 1: By the way, we said that in the last pod,
- 4:09Speaker 1: and it was very funny. Lefties on Twitter lost their mind. No,
- 4:12Speaker 1: no, no no, you're not allowed to say that. No no,
- 4:14Speaker 1: we say peaceful transfer a power. Don't you say that? No, no,
- 4:16Speaker 1: no, no no no. Let me explain. In Banana republics, tinpot
- 4:21Speaker 1: dictators send their troops in to the home of the
- 4:25Speaker 1: prior guyras they like to call Trump the former guy,
- 4:28Speaker 1: When you send your troops in to raid the home
- 4:31Speaker 1: of your predecessor looking for evidence because your plan is
- 4:35Speaker 1: to try to lock him up, what I could tell
- 4:39Speaker 1: you is, in two hundred plus years of our nation's history,
- 4:42Speaker 1: no president has ever done that to his predecessor, not once.
- 4:46Speaker 1: None of them look each of our presidents when the
- 4:51Speaker 1: party shifted. They didn't necessarily love their predecessors. Jefferson and
- 4:57Speaker 1: Adams despised each other. But it's not like Efferson said,
- 5:01Speaker 1: all right, let's bust down the door of Adams's house
- 5:04Speaker 1: and see what we can find that doesn't happen. Listen,
- 5:08Speaker 1: it is certainly true that the laws apply to everyone,
- 5:12Speaker 1: including former presidents, and if they violate criminal laws, they
- 5:18Speaker 1: should be held accountable. That being said, when there's a
- 5:22Speaker 1: specter of using the law enforcement machinery to target your enemies,
- 5:26Speaker 1: the threshold should be much much higher. It shouldn't be
- 5:29Speaker 1: a tikie tack crime. It shouldn't be a little threshold.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It should be something that is exercised only when there
- 5:36Speaker 1: is no alternative. Crossfire hurricane. They sent in the wire taps,
- 5:40Speaker 1: they sent in the investigations on the Flimsiest predicate, and
- 5:45Speaker 1: then they created fraudulent documents to back up that predicate.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And all of it, of course, was funded by the
- 5:51Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton campaign, which multiple members of DJ and FBI
- 5:55Speaker 1: knew and didn't care about. Fast forward and now what
- 5:59Speaker 1: happened here. I think they're frustrated because they're January six
- 6:02Speaker 1: investigations not getting anywhere, and so they said, well, look
- 6:07Speaker 1: we got an excuse to go raid Trump. Let's go
- 6:10Speaker 1: do it, and maybe we'll find some documents, maybe we'll
- 6:12Speaker 1: go on a fishing exercise. That is an absolute abuse
- 6:17Speaker 1: of power. If they're going to say that Trump is Hitler,
- 6:20Speaker 1: as they've been saying for years now, then they have
- 6:23Speaker 1: to do absolutely anything they can to stop Hitler. He's Hitler,
- 6:26Speaker 1: after all. And if that involves breaking some laws, or
- 6:29Speaker 1: if that involves abusing government power, well who cares. That's
- 6:32Speaker 1: a small price to pay. I think as they see it,
- 6:35Speaker 1: the FBI does an enormous amount of good work. The
- 6:38Speaker 1: FBI catches targets terrorists, radical Islamic terrorists trying to murder people.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It catches bank robbers, It catches people who engage in
- 6:47Speaker 1: in child kidnapping, it it catches mafia bosses like The
- 6:51Speaker 1: FBI is a hugely important law enforcement agency. And I
- 6:57Speaker 1: got to tell you, within the FBI, there are thousands
- 7:01Speaker 1: and thousands of good and honorable law enforcement officers, people
- 7:05Speaker 1: who signed up to be cops, people who signed up
- 7:07Speaker 1: to catch bad guys because they wanted to protect America
- 7:10Speaker 1: and keep us safe. And what is so infuriating is
- 7:14Speaker 1: is those FBI agents, their entire career and life is
- 7:21Speaker 1: being cheapened, is being undermined by these political hacks who
- 7:25Speaker 1: are leading the Department of Justice and who are at
- 7:28Speaker 1: the senior levels of the FBI. I cannot think of
- 7:32Speaker 1: anybody in modern times who's done more to damage the
- 7:37Speaker 1: credibility of the FBI and the Department of Justice than
- 7:40Speaker 1: Merrick Garland, because when he turns them into a nakedly
- 7:45Speaker 1: political group of stormtroopers, it's not the agent's fault, it's
- 7:51Speaker 1: the politicized leadership's fault. And he is hurting the FBI
- 7:56Speaker 1: and hurting the Department of Justice, and it ought scared
- 8:00Speaker 1: the hell out of them. Instead of lecturing people, how
- 8:02Speaker 1: dare you say abolished the FBI? Look, they're saying it
- 8:06Speaker 1: because you're a partisan hack. Why are they saying it,
- 8:11Speaker 1: of course is the question. And as you mentioned, they
- 8:13Speaker 1: went in there with the charge to take pretty much
- 8:17Speaker 1: everything they could. They're searching Melania Trump's wardrobe. They went in,
- 8:21Speaker 1: they took Donald Trump's passports, for goodness sakes, two expired
- 8:24Speaker 1: passports and his current diplomatic passport and then of course
- 8:28Speaker 1: immediately CBS News denies this, ays that Trump is lying
- 8:32Speaker 1: about his passports. And then five minutes later the DOJ
- 8:35Speaker 1: was caught with egg on its face. They had to
- 8:36Speaker 1: admit they did in fact take Trump's passports and then
- 8:39Speaker 1: they returned them to him. So now, of course the
- 8:43Speaker 1: line is the DJ the FBI never took Trump's passports,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and don't worry, they gave them back. All of this
- 8:49Speaker 1: really really reducing the credibility of the FBI and the DJ.
- 8:53Speaker 1: And as you suggest, this isn't about classified documents. This
- 8:57Speaker 1: isn't about the Presidential Records Act, this isn't about the
- 8:59Speaker 1: Nuclear Code. This is about January sixth and the failure
- 9:04Speaker 1: of the January sixth Committee, the Republican face, the nominally
- 9:07Speaker 1: Republican face of the January sixth Committee, Liz Cheney is
- 9:11Speaker 1: almost certainly going to go down in flames tonight. We're
- 9:14Speaker 1: recording this on Tuesday night. All of the polls say
- 9:17Speaker 1: she's going to be ousted from office, so it's that's
- 9:20Speaker 1: just not working. There was also Senator I don't know
- 9:23Speaker 1: if you saw really interesting article and Revolver News about
- 9:28Speaker 1: the pipe bombs on January sixth. We've heard so much
- 9:32Speaker 1: about the grannies that went into the Capitol. We've heard
- 9:34Speaker 1: so much about the horn hat guy. We've heard so
- 9:36Speaker 1: much from the j sixth committee. We haven't heard a
- 9:39Speaker 1: whole lot about those pipe bombs. And we don't really
- 9:41Speaker 1: know who planted the pipe bombs, and it seems like
- 9:43Speaker 1: that would be pretty important when we're talking about that day.
- 9:46Speaker 1: This would be the nearest that you got to serious
- 9:51Speaker 1: political violence on January sixth, and yet we've heard nothing.
- 9:54Speaker 1: So there's a Revolver News report out that suggests that
- 9:57Speaker 1: there are really more questions than answers when it comes
- 9:59Speaker 1: to these pipe bombs. Why they were allegedly planted when
- 10:02Speaker 1: they were, Why the FBI isn't releasing footage of the
- 10:05Speaker 1: people planting it to try to figure out who actually
- 10:08Speaker 1: did it. Just a whole I'll just leave it at that.
- 10:11Speaker 1: A whole lot of really strange aspects to this story.
- 10:14Speaker 1: And then the strangest one of all you called out
- 10:17Speaker 1: when you were grilling the FBI director Christopher Ray, which
- 10:21Speaker 1: is that the former head of the Detroit office for
- 10:24Speaker 1: the FBI, This guy Stephen Done. I've got Dan Twono
- 10:29Speaker 1: is his name. He was in charge of the operation
- 10:33Speaker 1: to entrap people into trying to kidnap Gretchen Whitmer, the
- 10:36Speaker 1: Democrat governor of Michigan. And this was a complete cluster,
- 10:41Speaker 1: didn't work. The trials going on right now. It's just
- 10:44Speaker 1: a complete mess for the FBI. Shortly after that all
- 10:48Speaker 1: fell apart, Stephen dan Twono got a promotion. He was
- 10:51Speaker 1: brought over, this would be in the months before January sixth,
- 10:54Speaker 1: to head up the Washington Field office for the FBI.
- 10:57Speaker 1: This is one of the most prestigious posts you can
- 10:59Speaker 1: have in the bureau, and so therefore he's the guy
- 11:02Speaker 1: that's overseeing the investigation into January sixth. All of this
- 11:07Speaker 1: has me scratching my head, Senator, I know it had
- 11:09Speaker 1: you scratching yours, which is why you grilled Christopher Ray. Well, Michael,
- 11:13Speaker 1: that's exactly right, and you've got a lot of substance
- 11:16Speaker 1: in that question. So let me try to take it
- 11:17Speaker 1: one piece at a time, and let me say at
- 11:19Speaker 1: the outset, it is interesting. Literally every single topic we
- 11:23Speaker 1: are discussing in this podcast, every single topic that is
- 11:26Speaker 1: leading the news right now, is in my new book,
- 11:29Speaker 1: Justice Corrupted, which you can pre order right now on Amazon.
- 11:33Speaker 1: It's coming out in just a few weeks. In Justice Corrupted,
- 11:36Speaker 1: I go into depth about Crossfire, Hurricane, and the partisan
- 11:41Speaker 1: animus that led to that bogus investigation. I go into
- 11:44Speaker 1: depth into January sixth and the pipe bomber and the
- 11:46Speaker 1: investigation and the politicization of the investigation. I go into
- 11:50Speaker 1: depth on the Gretchen Whitmer absolute debacle and explain how
- 11:54Speaker 1: all of this is interconnected. Let's start with a pipe bomb. Look,
- 11:59Speaker 1: the FBI and the Department of Justice should be focused
- 12:01Speaker 1: on criminals. It should be focused on people who commit
- 12:05Speaker 1: crimes of violence. We saw all during Antifa and Black
- 12:09Speaker 1: Lives Matter riots where the federal government essentially turned a
- 12:14Speaker 1: blind eye because many of the hyperpartisans senior leaders at
- 12:19Speaker 1: the Department of Justice and the FBI, even under Donald Trump,
- 12:22Speaker 1: the burrowed in career leaders who remained hard leftists agreed
- 12:28Speaker 1: with the politics of the rioters and the violent criminals,
- 12:31Speaker 1: and so gave them slaps on the wrist over and
- 12:34Speaker 1: over again as they engaged in in violent acts of
- 12:38Speaker 1: terror fire bombing police cars, looting stores, murdering officers. Because
- 12:46Speaker 1: of the politics they disregarded violence. On January sixth, Merritt
- 12:50Speaker 1: Garland has claimed it is the largest and most significant
- 12:53Speaker 1: investigation in the history of the FBI. Like, holy crap,
- 12:57Speaker 1: like really like in the hist the FBI. So more
- 13:01Speaker 1: than nine to eleven planes flying into the World Trade Center,
- 13:04Speaker 1: flying into the Pentagon, three thousand people murdered. This was
- 13:08Speaker 1: more serious. And the reason it's more serious is because
- 13:12Speaker 1: for them, it's all about politics. Who are they targeting.
- 13:15Speaker 1: They're targeting the little old ladies who were on the
- 13:17Speaker 1: mall waiving American flags, singing God Bless America. They're targeting
- 13:21Speaker 1: ultimately every American who voted for Donald Trump, who spoke
- 13:26Speaker 1: out in favor of Donald Trump. This is a political persecution.
- 13:30Speaker 1: The White House sees it that way, just like the raid.
- 13:33Speaker 1: The raid was a political persecution. It's not about violence.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Now you look at January sixth one action that on
- 13:40Speaker 1: the face of it certainly appears to be a crime
- 13:43Speaker 1: of violence and was an attempt at a serious terrorist attack.
- 13:47Speaker 1: Are the two pipe bombs. If pipe bombs had dedicated
- 13:50Speaker 1: detonated on Capitol Hill, potentially killing dozens or more, that
- 13:56Speaker 1: would have been a horrific act of violence. Now, thankfully
- 13:59Speaker 1: neither bomb detonated. If you look at everything that transpired
- 14:03Speaker 1: that day, you would think a multiple attempted bombing in
- 14:06Speaker 1: the nation's capital would be really high on the priority
- 14:10Speaker 1: list of let's get someone that's trying to blow people
- 14:12Speaker 1: up and murder people like that. You know, between blow
- 14:16Speaker 1: people up and murder people a little old lady waving
- 14:18Speaker 1: a flag, maybe blow people up and murder people would
- 14:20Speaker 1: be a higher priority in any sane world. We're now,
- 14:25Speaker 1: you know, almost two years after the fact, and we
- 14:29Speaker 1: know nothing about the pipe bomber. Apparently there's video of it.
- 14:32Speaker 1: Apparently the pipe bomber dropped the bombs off at eight
- 14:35Speaker 1: pm the night before. They have video of it. If
- 14:37Speaker 1: they've ever caught the guy, They've never told anyone. There's
- 14:40Speaker 1: no case, there's no prosecution. Apparently the guy with the
- 14:43Speaker 1: horns is a massive threat to the cosmos, but a
- 14:50Speaker 1: ostensibly homicidal bomber no concern. Nothing to see here. It
- 14:55Speaker 1: is weird when the DOJ or the fbis before the
- 14:59Speaker 1: Udiciary Committee. I asked them about it, and they consistently
- 15:03Speaker 1: refuse to answer. Nothing to see here. Note, never mind
- 15:05Speaker 1: the bomber. We don't care, not our focus. Nope. Their
- 15:08Speaker 1: attitude is, we don't have to answer your questions. Yea.
- 15:13Speaker 1: And it's not just we don't answer to Congress, it's
- 15:15Speaker 1: we don't answer the American people. We decide what we
- 15:19Speaker 1: want to do, and no one dares question us. And
- 15:23Speaker 1: look this Revolver article. I don't know how accurate or
- 15:27Speaker 1: not it is. It raises questions. The implication is that
- 15:31Speaker 1: the pipe bombs were not actually planted by real criminals,
- 15:36Speaker 1: but were part of a fraud, some court of entrapment
- 15:41Speaker 1: or hoax. I don't know. I want to be cautious
- 15:44Speaker 1: about suggesting that, but I will say this, when law
- 15:49Speaker 1: enforcement a doesn't make it a priority to target actual
- 15:52Speaker 1: violent criminals and b answers no questions, has no transparency,
- 15:57Speaker 1: and behaves as if they have no accountability, they shouldn't
- 16:01Speaker 1: be surprised when they have no credibility and people don't
- 16:04Speaker 1: trust them well, and especially on this issue, Senator of
- 16:07Speaker 1: Stephen Dan Twino, I mean to me, that's the craziest
- 16:10Speaker 1: part of all. Forget the fact that the timers on
- 16:14Speaker 1: the bombs apparently were not functioning. The timing wouldn't have
- 16:17Speaker 1: made a whole lot of sense if we had any
- 16:18Speaker 1: of the questions that were raised by that. The very
- 16:22Speaker 1: fact that a guy who we know led an entrapment campaign,
- 16:26Speaker 1: a poorly orchestrated entrapment campaign, by the way, in Michigan,
- 16:29Speaker 1: then becomes the head of the Washington Field office. I
- 16:32Speaker 1: think we have the clip of your grilling Ray, because
- 16:34Speaker 1: initially Ray tries to deny it, and then you've laid
- 16:38Speaker 1: out the facts and he can't help but admit that
- 16:41Speaker 1: You're right. There was the case against individual's charged with
- 16:47Speaker 1: kidnapping and murdering Governor Gretchen Whittmer in Michigan. Well, the
- 16:52Speaker 1: special agent in charge of that case has now been
- 16:55Speaker 1: sent to DC, to the Washington d C Office, and
- 16:58Speaker 1: now leads the investigation regarding January sixth. Is that correct?
- 17:03Speaker 1: That doesn't sound right to me. That does not sound right.
- 17:06Speaker 1: That the name of the individual is Stephen di'antuono. He
- 17:10Speaker 1: was run out of the FBI Detroit Field office. And
- 17:13Speaker 1: by the way, I will point out that the lead investigator,
- 17:16Speaker 1: special Agent Track. Are you aware that he was apparently
- 17:19Speaker 1: fired for allegedly beating his wife after coming home from
- 17:23Speaker 1: a swingers party, and he'd made multiple derogatory political post
- 17:27Speaker 1: about President Trump showing political bias. Are you aware of that?
- 17:31Speaker 1: I am aware of. I think the incident, you're describing
- 17:34Speaker 1: an action that was taken about it. To clarify on
- 17:37Speaker 1: the first part of your question, mister d'antoino was the
- 17:41Speaker 1: special agent in charge of the office the Detroit Field
- 17:44Speaker 1: Office is now the assistant director in charge of the
- 17:47Speaker 1: Washington Field Office. I thought you were asking about the
- 17:49Speaker 1: agent who was responsible for these So the guy in
- 17:51Speaker 1: charge got promoted and is now in charge of the
- 17:53Speaker 1: January sixth investigation. The guy in charge of the whole
- 17:56Speaker 1: Detroit Field office is now in charge of the whole
- 17:59Speaker 1: Washington Field office. That is astonishing. He tries to get
- 18:03Speaker 1: out of it. Senator, He says, I don't know, I'm
- 18:05Speaker 1: not really familiar. What are you talking. I'm talking about
- 18:07Speaker 1: this guy. I'm naming this name, this date, this office.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, I guess he got the promotion. So so,
- 18:13Speaker 1: and it's worth unpacking that for a little bit. And
- 18:16Speaker 1: let's start out with what happened in Michigan. So, if
- 18:19Speaker 1: you remember, in the fall of twenty twenty, right before
- 18:22Speaker 1: a big election, the FBI breathlessly announces that they've uncovered
- 18:27Speaker 1: a plot to kidnap and murder the governor of Michigan.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Gretchen Whitmer. Now that's a big damn deal. You're like,
- 18:33Speaker 1: holy cow, all right, if you've got a plot to
- 18:35Speaker 1: do that, like, go prosecute those guys, throw them in
- 18:37Speaker 1: jail a long time. Thank you FBI for like stopping criminals.
- 18:41Speaker 1: That's your job. Now. I'll point out at the same
- 18:44Speaker 1: time that that prosecution happened to perfectly align with the
- 18:50Speaker 1: political narrative of Joe Biden and the Democrats because these
- 18:54Speaker 1: alleged criminals, We're doing it because they were mad about
- 18:58Speaker 1: Gretchen Whitmer's COVID lockdown policies, and because Trump had criticized Whitmer.
- 19:03Speaker 1: The whole narrative was, you know what, it's Trump's fault. See,
- 19:06Speaker 1: any Trump's supporter is a violent criminal. Look, those guys
- 19:10Speaker 1: are literally trying to kidnap and murder a Democratic governor.
- 19:14Speaker 1: So it fit the political narrative beautifully, which, by the way,
- 19:17Speaker 1: the krupt corporate media got ran with dance, celebrated said see,
- 19:22Speaker 1: unless you are a violent murderer too, you better vote
- 19:25Speaker 1: for Joe Biden. That was what it was all about,
- 19:27Speaker 1: all right. Fast forward to the actual trial. Four guys
- 19:31Speaker 1: go on trial. They're charged with various crimes, all related
- 19:35Speaker 1: to an alleged plot to kidnap and murder Wretched Whitmer.
- 19:39Speaker 1: The end of the trial in federal court, the defendants
- 19:44Speaker 1: are convicted of zero counts nothing. Two of them are
- 19:49Speaker 1: quitted across the board. The jury comes back and says
- 19:51Speaker 1: not guilty, not guilty, not guilty, not guilty. Two of
- 19:54Speaker 1: them have hung juries. So the juries can't agree and
- 19:58Speaker 1: so they have mistrials declared. So in the course of
- 20:02Speaker 1: the trial, the prosecution gets zero convictions on anything. Now,
- 20:09Speaker 1: in any prosecution, that's a big deal. That's a big,
- 20:13Speaker 1: serious problem. Prosecution wins almost every case they bring. Typically,
- 20:17Speaker 1: the prosecutors don't bring a case unless they can get you.
- 20:20Speaker 1: They got the evidence. So it's unusual for the prosecution
- 20:23Speaker 1: to lose. But it's even worse than that. Why did
- 20:26Speaker 1: they lose, Well, the principal defense from the defendants was entrapment.
- 20:34Speaker 1: It was that the FBI informants, people who are on
- 20:37Speaker 1: the payroll of the FBI, who were working for the
- 20:39Speaker 1: federal government, that they were the ones that suggested the
- 20:42Speaker 1: damn thing, They were the ones that kept urging him
- 20:45Speaker 1: to do that. In fact, the defendants pressed back, said hey,
- 20:48Speaker 1: Let's not do this. This is a bad idea. Let's
- 20:51Speaker 1: not kidnap and murder. The governor gosh, your idea is interesting,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but no, thank you. And the FBI agents are the
- 20:57Speaker 1: undercover informants, kept saying no, no, no, no, no no,
- 21:00Speaker 1: we gotta do this really important, really important. We kidnapper,
- 21:03Speaker 1: really importantly murderer. And that was the defend defenses arguments,
- 21:09Speaker 1: and apparently the jury agreed that was the principal defense
- 21:13Speaker 1: put forward. Now for any law enforcement, look that there's
- 21:17Speaker 1: a general line, what are the rules governing undercover officers?
- 21:22Speaker 1: Law enforcement all the time has undercover officers. You go in,
- 21:26Speaker 1: you go into the mob, you go into a drug cartel,
- 21:28Speaker 1: you have someone undercover who pretends to be part of it,
- 21:31Speaker 1: and you can gather evidence and that can be used
- 21:33Speaker 1: in a prosecution. That's legitimate. What is not legitimate. The
- 21:37Speaker 1: line is you can engage in entrapment. You can't be
- 21:41Speaker 1: the one who is the source the genesis of the
- 21:46Speaker 1: illegal conduct. That it is an abuse of government power
- 21:50Speaker 1: when they send an agent to is say, hey, Michael,
- 21:54Speaker 1: don't you really want to steal that that fancy watch
- 21:58Speaker 1: from behind the like. They can't go suggest to citizens,
- 22:02Speaker 1: they break the law. The guy in charge, So this
- 22:07Speaker 1: was all run out of the Detroit Field office, the
- 22:09Speaker 1: guy in charge of its Stephen d'antoino. This is one
- 22:13Speaker 1: of the biggest scandals in the history of the FBI
- 22:17Speaker 1: to lose a marquee front page, top of the fold
- 22:21Speaker 1: banner headline case because of misconduct by your office. In
- 22:28Speaker 1: any sane and ordinary and responsible law enforcement office, everyone
- 22:33Speaker 1: involved would have been fired. That's just the like, like
- 22:36Speaker 1: the level of scandal. You didn't just screw it up.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It was your misconduct that messed it all up. The
- 22:43Speaker 1: fact that in this FBI the guy eight doesn't get fired,
- 22:48Speaker 1: b gets promoted, but C gets put in charge of
- 22:55Speaker 1: the January sixth prosecution. Are you freaking kidding me? I
- 23:01Speaker 1: mean that is as I said at the end of
- 23:04Speaker 1: that cross examination. It is astonishing. And what it is, Michael,
- 23:09Speaker 1: is it's a manifestation of that hubris. He's like, well,
- 23:12Speaker 1: it was the line line agents that did that. You know,
- 23:15Speaker 1: whatever happened to Harry S. Truman, the buckstops here. Apparently
- 23:18Speaker 1: no one has accountability for anything. No one's fired, no
- 23:22Speaker 1: one's reprimanded, nothing happens. Well, I guess the line agents,
- 23:25Speaker 1: the guy in charge who allegedly beat his wife and
- 23:29Speaker 1: was running around at Swinger's convention, so, you know, really
- 23:31Speaker 1: speaks to the caliber of folks. You know, he lost
- 23:36Speaker 1: his job, but his boss got promoted. That there is,
- 23:42Speaker 1: unfortunately a culture, and I trace it back to the
- 23:47Speaker 1: Obama years where the Obama years they viewed DJ and
- 23:51Speaker 1: the FBI as their political stormtroopers. And what they did
- 23:56Speaker 1: they promoted from within hard part sens into senior positions
- 24:02Speaker 1: and they burrowed in and unfortunately they're far too many
- 24:04Speaker 1: of them. They're still there, and it raises a whole
- 24:06Speaker 1: lot of red flags. I mean, if you get a
- 24:08Speaker 1: guy who was in charge of an operation that involved
- 24:11Speaker 1: in trapman and hoaxes and misconduct, and then he gets
- 24:15Speaker 1: the promotion, he goes to Washington, DC. Already there are
- 24:18Speaker 1: a lot of questions about that day. One of the
- 24:21Speaker 1: chief instigators among the people to say, go in, we
- 24:25Speaker 1: have to go into the capital, We've got to storm
- 24:26Speaker 1: the capitol. When he did that in the streets of Washington,
- 24:29Speaker 1: the people around him said, fed, fed, fed, he's a fed.
- 24:32Speaker 1: All the strange questions about the pipe bombs. It it's
- 24:35Speaker 1: just not a good look. Okay, and you add on
- 24:37Speaker 1: top of that the fact that there has been such misconduct,
- 24:40Speaker 1: such abusive power, such corruption at the FBI and the
- 24:42Speaker 1: DJ going back to Crossfire, Hurricane and the subsequent events.
- 24:47Speaker 1: I just when people don't have faith in federal law
- 24:51Speaker 1: enforcement and the political leadership of federal law enforcement, that's
- 24:55Speaker 1: not our fault, okay, that's the fault of the people
- 24:57Speaker 1: who squandered that credibility. And you know, Michael, what's amazing
- 25:01Speaker 1: is the Democrats, who have majorities in Congress have zero
- 25:05Speaker 1: interest in discovering what happened. So it's been a year
- 25:08Speaker 1: and a half we've had no hearings on the Gretchen
- 25:11Speaker 1: Whitmer case, on the entrapment, on the disastrous debacle of
- 25:16Speaker 1: that case, because the Democrats are not interested in knowing
- 25:20Speaker 1: what happens. They're quite happy. Look that the cross examination
- 25:24Speaker 1: I had of Chris Ray, no Democrat had any interest
- 25:28Speaker 1: in following up on that. They're like, oh, good, the
- 25:31Speaker 1: guy involved it entrapment is now in charge of January six,
- 25:34Speaker 1: Hey work for us. Awesome, Like it is amazing. And
- 25:39Speaker 1: I will say one of the things that underscores the
- 25:41Speaker 1: stakes of this election in November, if Republicans take a
- 25:45Speaker 1: majority in both houses. We need to have hearings on
- 25:47Speaker 1: these topics. We need to have hearings on every one
- 25:50Speaker 1: of these topics. We need to examine. We need to
- 25:52Speaker 1: use subpoenas. We need to drag Merrick Garland and Chris
- 25:56Speaker 1: Ray down there and keep them there and make them
- 25:59Speaker 1: answer question, not let them get away with this blythe
- 26:03Speaker 1: You know, I am the king. I answer to nobody,
- 26:07Speaker 1: which is the attitude they have, And I very much
- 26:10Speaker 1: hope a that we win in November, but b that
- 26:12Speaker 1: we see that accountability. Of course it's urgent too because
- 26:15Speaker 1: they're busting into the doors at Marlago today. But it
- 26:18Speaker 1: really could be anyone who's considered a political enemy of
- 26:22Speaker 1: our ruling class. Now it's not only the Democrats who
- 26:24Speaker 1: don't want you talking about this sort of stuff, Senator,
- 26:27Speaker 1: it is even the fake Republicans. I saw this headline.
- 26:31Speaker 1: I have got to get your reaction to it. This
- 26:34Speaker 1: is from Michael Steele. Michael Steele was the head of
- 26:37Speaker 1: the Republican National Committee. Now he's a talking head on
- 26:41Speaker 1: MSNBC and he only ever goes on the liberal shows
- 26:44Speaker 1: and attacks Republicans. He said is directed at you. Senator,
- 26:49Speaker 1: just sit the hell down, please stop it. This in
- 26:53Speaker 1: response to your speech, at Sepak says, it is more
- 26:56Speaker 1: fascism than farce, it is more concern than conservatism. And
- 27:01Speaker 1: it really is about how we as a citizen respond
- 27:05Speaker 1: to this, how we pushed back against it. Blah blah blah,
- 27:08Speaker 1: cruises the worst any response, I will say, that's a
- 27:13Speaker 1: badge of honor. I'm glad to hear it. Um. Look,
- 27:16Speaker 1: I'd say it's three things simultaneously. One, there's a whole
- 27:19Speaker 1: cadre of squishy, moderate establishment Republicans who barely believed anything
- 27:24Speaker 1: to begin with, and they were a real problem in
- 27:28Speaker 1: our party for a long time. They gave rise to
- 27:32Speaker 1: my election. They gave rise to the rise of Donald Trump.
- 27:35Speaker 1: It was a reaction to these these folks who didn't
- 27:41Speaker 1: believe anything. Secondly, that many of those same folks are
- 27:46Speaker 1: now fully consumed by TDS, by trumpet arrangement syndrome. They
- 27:52Speaker 1: just hate Donald Trump so much that they're they're consumed
- 27:56Speaker 1: by it. You mentioned Liz Cheney. Liz Cheney is unrecognizable
- 28:00Speaker 1: who she was, you know, five six years ago Bill Crystal.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Bill Crystal used to be dan Quayle's chief of staff.
- 28:06Speaker 1: He ran The Weekly Standard, which was a conservative publication.
- 28:10Speaker 1: He now is indistinguishable from a raving left wing Democratic.
- 28:14Speaker 1: It's also worth remembering Bill Crystal discovered Sarah Palin. I
- 28:17Speaker 1: know that now Bill and other people on the kind
- 28:21Speaker 1: of squishy side or just outright now have switched to
- 28:23Speaker 1: the left. They try to say, Palen's the problem, cruise
- 28:27Speaker 1: Trump all these right wingers in the conservative movement. Bill
- 28:31Speaker 1: Crystal discovered that lady and made her a national thing. Well,
- 28:33Speaker 1: and what's funny, it's not just the folks that are
- 28:36Speaker 1: destroyed by TDS. It's not just that they don't like
- 28:40Speaker 1: what Trump says or does. It's not just that they say, well,
- 28:42Speaker 1: we need to speak with greater decorum. You can make
- 28:44Speaker 1: that case. They become left wingers on everything that they
- 28:49Speaker 1: look at, build back broke and say, whoohoo, raised taxes,
- 28:52Speaker 1: spend money, more debt. I mean, I mean their rhetoric
- 28:56Speaker 1: is indistinguishable from Chuck Schumer's. I mean that they live
- 29:00Speaker 1: have just flipped over. And then the third dynamic is
- 29:03Speaker 1: is Steele, who I don't know the guy, but you know,
- 29:06Speaker 1: apparently makes a living now going on MSNBC. And there's
- 29:09Speaker 1: a whole little cottage industry of quote former Republicans, Yeah,
- 29:15Speaker 1: who get paid to go on TV. And their job
- 29:18Speaker 1: description is simple. You have to do two things. Number One,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you have to do it sometime. Have called yourself a Republican,
- 29:23Speaker 1: and he helps because he was actually head of the RNC,
- 29:26Speaker 1: so he's got a good, good sort of fake costume there. Yeah.
- 29:30Speaker 1: But then two, you have to be willing to piss
- 29:32Speaker 1: on Republicans all day longly. They have no interest in
- 29:35Speaker 1: reasoned analysis, they have no interest in you're actually considering substance.
- 29:38Speaker 1: Your job is I am former Republican who says Republicans
- 29:42Speaker 1: all suck. That's what I get paid to do on MSNBC,
- 29:45Speaker 1: And it's how I get my easy little paycheck to
- 29:48Speaker 1: pay the second mortgage on my condo in Oldtown, Virginia.
- 29:54Speaker 1: That is a phenomenon and and and it's a it's
- 29:58Speaker 1: an unfortunate and silly one. By the way, what he
- 30:00Speaker 1: was reacting to was my speech at Sepack, the central
- 30:04Speaker 1: thesis of which is revival is coming. That this administration
- 30:07Speaker 1: has gone so extreme. People's eyes are opening up and
- 30:10Speaker 1: they want to take the country back in the direction
- 30:13Speaker 1: of free enterprise and freedom and defending the Constitution and
- 30:15Speaker 1: Bill of Rights, and what is his response to that,
- 30:18Speaker 1: Sit the hell down and shut up. Okay, Boomer, thanks
- 30:23Speaker 1: for your input. You screwed it up. Now it's time
- 30:27Speaker 1: for actually people who believe something to lead. Well, that
- 30:30Speaker 1: is the key. You'll sometimes hear this. I always hear
- 30:33Speaker 1: this with ex Catholics or I don't even know if
- 30:36Speaker 1: you'd say ex Catholic, but you'll sometimes hear people say
- 30:39Speaker 1: whenever pontificating on some matter of the Church, they'll say, listen,
- 30:42Speaker 1: I went to Catholic school, and let me tell you,
- 30:45Speaker 1: and you can be certain every time someone says that
- 30:48Speaker 1: they don't know anything about the Catholic Church, and I
- 30:51Speaker 1: think it's almost the perfect analogy. You here, they'll say, listen,
- 30:53Speaker 1: as a former Republican, and then they go on and
- 30:56Speaker 1: they misrepresent Republicans views. They frequently can't articulate them at all,
- 31:00Speaker 1: because I think in ninety nine times out of one hundred,
- 31:03Speaker 1: they never really believed that stuff to begin with. They
- 31:06Speaker 1: never really knew what they were supposed to believe to
- 31:08Speaker 1: begin with, and so it was a natural evolution for
- 31:11Speaker 1: them to move over to the other side. I see
- 31:14Speaker 1: that with virtually all of these so called former Republicans.
- 31:18Speaker 1: They're just kind of squishes who opportunistically were in the
- 31:21Speaker 1: GOP while it served them, but because they didn't really
- 31:24Speaker 1: believe very much on life, on liberty, on the American
- 31:28Speaker 1: way of life, that they just switched when the going
- 31:31Speaker 1: got tough. And so when they leave the party, I say,
- 31:33Speaker 1: good Sionara, glad, don't let the door hit you on
- 31:36Speaker 1: the way out. By the way, did you see there
- 31:38Speaker 1: was a really weird article in the last week from
- 31:41Speaker 1: some I think CBS or I don't know, some media
- 31:43Speaker 1: outlet about praying the rosary as a tool of extremist hate.
- 31:49Speaker 1: That was like the most okay it was. It was
- 31:54Speaker 1: so bizarre I actually assumed it was Babylon b Like
- 31:59Speaker 1: it was like, Okay, this is actually pretty good satire,
- 32:02Speaker 1: Like I get, this is really making fun of crazy lefties,
- 32:06Speaker 1: except they write it anyway like like they're just it
- 32:09Speaker 1: is making comedy harder because they will say any asinine thing.
- 32:13Speaker 1: But what was your reaction to all Right, I'm going
- 32:16Speaker 1: to play the straight man here. Michael is praying the
- 32:18Speaker 1: rosary a tool of extremist hate. Well, I actually have
- 32:23Speaker 1: a high capacity rosary, so my rosary as fifty Hail
- 32:29Speaker 1: marys on it. But not just that. We've got some
- 32:31Speaker 1: our fathers, we got some glory bees. Now, the Rosary
- 32:35Speaker 1: has been around for what roughly a thousand years, and
- 32:38Speaker 1: really even earlier than that, because there were earlier forms
- 32:41Speaker 1: of what became the rosary Christian prayer beads, going back
- 32:44Speaker 1: to the very earliest days of the church, and the
- 32:47Speaker 1: Atlantic whoever wrote this column obviously doesn't know anything about that.
- 32:51Speaker 1: In the subheader, they actually referred to the Rosary as
- 32:54Speaker 1: a sacrament. And again, you don't need to be a
- 32:57Speaker 1: doctor of the church to know that the rosaries not
- 33:00Speaker 1: a sacrament. Seven sacraments of the church. Rosary beads are
- 33:03Speaker 1: not one of them. And so they broadcast their ignorance
- 33:07Speaker 1: basically from the headline of the piece. But then they
- 33:09Speaker 1: spout off on it anyway, because the author, just like
- 33:12Speaker 1: so many liberals, is frequently wrong but never in doubt.
- 33:16Speaker 1: And what is this about. I mean, I think they
- 33:18Speaker 1: actually have a really clear political motivation here. They want
- 33:22Speaker 1: to cast anything that is Christian as extreme or terrorism.
- 33:28Speaker 1: And so when you see when you see as frequently occurs,
- 33:31Speaker 1: little old nuns praying outside of a planned parenthood playing
- 33:35Speaker 1: praying their rosaries. Why that's a symbol of terrorism. That's
- 33:39Speaker 1: a great threat to the country. We better call law
- 33:42Speaker 1: enforcement out on them. We've got to suppress these symbols
- 33:45Speaker 1: of hate. So I'm I'm holding onto my beads. They
- 33:47Speaker 1: are not registered and moulin lave. That's what I say
- 33:51Speaker 1: about my rosary. Come and take it well, and to
- 33:54Speaker 1: be fair though, you know, I guess the Atlantic does
- 33:56Speaker 1: have a point. If I remember correctly, one of the
- 33:58Speaker 1: Godfather movies, one of the assassins was dressed as a
- 34:02Speaker 1: priest and carrying the rosary and committed murder. So that's
- 34:05Speaker 1: so there we go, qed they prove in their case,
- 34:09Speaker 1: it's it's so preposterous it it's the only thing that
- 34:12Speaker 1: one can do is sort of laugh at it and pray,
- 34:15Speaker 1: I guess is the other thing that we can do.
- 34:18Speaker 1: But they're they're revealing such a degree of ignorance and
- 34:22Speaker 1: such a degree of hypocrisy. Frequently, there's one store I
- 34:25Speaker 1: have to get to before before I let you go,
- 34:26Speaker 1: which which combines all of these things. In New York,
- 34:30Speaker 1: my home state, in Washington, d C. Place where you
- 34:33Speaker 1: spend a lot of time, where I spend a lot
- 34:34Speaker 1: of time too. These are sanctuary cities. These are places
- 34:39Speaker 1: that say we are open to immigrants, specifically illegal immigrants,
- 34:43Speaker 1: no borders, no people are illegal, come here. And so
- 34:49Speaker 1: then the governor of your state senator decided to take
- 34:53Speaker 1: them up on their offer, and he said, Okay, we've
- 34:54Speaker 1: got historic numbers of illegal aliens pouring across the border,
- 34:59Speaker 1: probably going to be more more than two million this year,
- 35:01Speaker 1: and so that's fine. If you want to take them
- 35:03Speaker 1: New York, you want to take them DC, put them
- 35:05Speaker 1: on a bus for free, the governor's paying for it,
- 35:08Speaker 1: and ships them up to New York. The mayors of
- 35:10Speaker 1: New York and DC are absolutely losing their minds over it.
- 35:14Speaker 1: They're saying this is terrible. They're saying this puts a
- 35:16Speaker 1: strain on the resources of these cities. It's a horrific
- 35:19Speaker 1: thing to do. And I thought, hold on, wait, wait
- 35:21Speaker 1: a minute. I was previously told by these very same
- 35:24Speaker 1: mayors and politicians that illegal immigration is a net contributor
- 35:28Speaker 1: to our economy and it's really great, and it's really wonderful,
- 35:30Speaker 1: and it doesn't put a stress on any of our resources,
- 35:32Speaker 1: and it doesn't bring crime or anything else. But now
- 35:35Speaker 1: they're saying, not in my backyard. But illegal immigration is
- 35:37Speaker 1: really great in the Republican States. It's not good in
- 35:40Speaker 1: the blue cities that encourage it. You know. I gotta say,
- 35:43Speaker 1: this story reveals, as you said, the fear and ignorance
- 35:47Speaker 1: and the absolute hypocrisy of the left. So the mayors
- 35:50Speaker 1: of both DC and New York have been holding press conferences,
- 35:54Speaker 1: hysterical press conferences. The mayor of DC, Muriel Browser, has
- 35:58Speaker 1: said said that the six thousand illegal immigrants that Texas
- 36:02Speaker 1: has put on buses and send up to DC has
- 36:04Speaker 1: created a crisis and it is unacceptable and it has
- 36:08Speaker 1: to stop. Now. That's just six thousand since Joe Biden
- 36:12Speaker 1: has become president, three and a half million illegal immigrants
- 36:15Speaker 1: across the border. We have towns in South Texas that
- 36:22Speaker 1: have seen massive, hundreds of thousands, millions of people coming through.
- 36:28Speaker 1: She says six thousand as a crisis. I publicly urged
- 36:33Speaker 1: the governor if she thinks six thousand as a crisis,
- 36:36Speaker 1: we had to send six hundred thousand. Yeah, six hundred
- 36:38Speaker 1: thousand would be roughly one sixth of the number of
- 36:42Speaker 1: illegal immigrants who have come in under Joe Biden. By
- 36:45Speaker 1: the way, if she doesn't like it. She is a
- 36:47Speaker 1: member of a party, the Democrat Party. The person responsible
- 36:50Speaker 1: for these three and a half million dollars lives in
- 36:53Speaker 1: her city in Washington, d C. I can give her
- 36:56Speaker 1: his address at sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue. His name is
- 36:59Speaker 1: Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. He made a political decision to
- 37:02Speaker 1: let three and a half million illegal immigrants in his
- 37:05Speaker 1: view was Texas. If it destroys communities and red states,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that's great. Eventually these folks will vote Democrat, he believes.
- 37:12Speaker 1: So Let there be lots of suffering and misery and poverty.
- 37:17Speaker 1: Let there be children sexually assaulted. Let there be women
- 37:20Speaker 1: trapped in sex slavery. Let there be horrific abuse and
- 37:24Speaker 1: disease and crime, all of that because politics is worth it.
- 37:28Speaker 1: If she wants to fix it, the leader of her
- 37:31Speaker 1: party can fix it anytime he damwell wants by simply
- 37:33Speaker 1: choosing to follow the law. Now, Eric Adams, the Mayor
- 37:37Speaker 1: of New York. In some ways it is even funnier.
- 37:39Speaker 1: He's done these hysterical press conferences losing his mind saying
- 37:43Speaker 1: please stop sending legal immigrants to New York, and he's
- 37:47Speaker 1: threatened he said, I'm gonna send bus loads of New
- 37:50Speaker 1: Yorkers to go to Texas to campaign against Greg Abbott
- 37:55Speaker 1: for governor. Now, I have to admit I did have
- 37:58Speaker 1: some great joy responding and said, well, actually, to be fair,
- 38:02Speaker 1: there are already thousands of bustloads of New Yorkers fleeing
- 38:05Speaker 1: New York and coming to Texas, and Eric Adams is
- 38:08Speaker 1: driving them away. Now they're coming to Texas because we're
- 38:10Speaker 1: an oasis of freedom and New York is run by
- 38:13Speaker 1: left wing numb nuts who are trying to recreate the
- 38:19Speaker 1: hellscape of the seventies. Yeah, you know, it's like escape
- 38:24Speaker 1: from New York. Snake Pliskin is going to have to
- 38:27Speaker 1: sneak in and break people out of New York to
- 38:29Speaker 1: go to Paradise's like Texas or Florida. But secondly, you
- 38:35Speaker 1: gotta say, Eric Adams, I think he might be slightly
- 38:38Speaker 1: off in his assessment of the politics of Texas because
- 38:43Speaker 1: he thinks a bunch of left wing New York Democrats
- 38:46Speaker 1: coming down to Texas saying Hi, we're New Yorkers, please
- 38:50Speaker 1: vote against your Republican governor, that that is somehow going
- 38:52Speaker 1: to cause Texans and go, oh okay, we want our
- 38:55Speaker 1: state to suck as much as you've screwed your city up,
- 38:59Speaker 1: so let's do that. It is absurd. And here's a
- 39:02Speaker 1: final point. I'm very glad Greg Abbott is doing and
- 39:05Speaker 1: it's the right thing to do. He ought to accelerate
- 39:07Speaker 1: it massively. As you know, Abbott and I are good friends.
- 39:10Speaker 1: I worked for him five and a half years. I
- 39:13Speaker 1: had urged him to do this, and in fact I
- 39:15Speaker 1: filed legislation that said we shouldn't just ship him to
- 39:19Speaker 1: New York and DC. We ought to ship illegal immigrants
- 39:24Speaker 1: to Martha's Vineyard. We had to Tuckett right. We ought
- 39:28Speaker 1: to ship him to Southampton. We ought to ship him
- 39:30Speaker 1: to Rehobeth Beach, Delaware. We're Biden vacations. We had to
- 39:34Speaker 1: ship him to Coopertino, California. Every place that rich liberals
- 39:39Speaker 1: sit and swirl chardonnay. They ought to sit there and
- 39:43Speaker 1: watch busload after busload after busload of illegal immigrants unloading.
- 39:48Speaker 1: And by the way, the Martha Martha's Vineyard mayor like
- 39:53Speaker 1: publicly engaged me and said, oh, we would love that,
- 39:56Speaker 1: we would welcome it. Really, just play chicken six thousand.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Let's just start with the six thousand that went to Washington, DC.
- 40:08Speaker 1: It reveals the utter hypocrisy of the left. They're willing
- 40:14Speaker 1: to cause human suffering as long as it doesn't impinge
- 40:18Speaker 1: on the view from their golf course. I'm just picturing
- 40:21Speaker 1: when it comes to the busloads of New Yorkers campaigning
- 40:24Speaker 1: against the Republicans, and I'm picturing my cousin Vinnie, you know,
- 40:28Speaker 1: knock knock on the door. Hey, you hear about all
- 40:30Speaker 1: these utes, the shipping up, all these all these utes,
- 40:33Speaker 1: you know, these shipping them up. It's not going to
- 40:35Speaker 1: be very persuasive. And the thing you're bringing up, by
- 40:37Speaker 1: the way, Senator I was just described by Mike anton
- 40:41Speaker 1: Over at the Claremont Institute, I thought in a really
- 40:43Speaker 1: good way. He describes it as the celebration parallax, a
- 40:48Speaker 1: parallax being the position of an object seen from different
- 40:52Speaker 1: vantage points. And he says that what the liberals are
- 40:56Speaker 1: doing now is they're saying something, and then when the
- 40:59Speaker 1: concern oervatives simply restate the what the liberals have said,
- 41:04Speaker 1: the liberals deny that. The liberals get to celebrate it.
- 41:07Speaker 1: The Conservatives, when they say it, are punished for it.
- 41:09Speaker 1: And you see it in this case, the liberals are saying,
- 41:12Speaker 1: illegal immigration is putting a massive strain on the resources
- 41:17Speaker 1: of our cities when it shows up here, and so
- 41:19Speaker 1: we really just want to limit illegal immigration to the
- 41:21Speaker 1: Red States. And then and this is a cause for celebration.
- 41:24Speaker 1: The conservatives going and they say, hey, illegal immigration is
- 41:27Speaker 1: putting a huge strain on our resources, and you just
- 41:29Speaker 1: want to limit it to our states. And they say,
- 41:30Speaker 1: how dare you? That's evil, that's a lie, that's fake news,
- 41:34Speaker 1: that's inhuman. They're saying exactly the same thing. The question
- 41:37Speaker 1: is just who is allowed to say it. It's an
- 41:40Speaker 1: awfully good question, but I will say it is a
- 41:42Speaker 1: question that is causing people's eyes to open up. It
- 41:46Speaker 1: is causing them to see the hypocrisy that is leading
- 41:50Speaker 1: to a revival in November, and that is causing folks
- 41:53Speaker 1: like our friend Michael Steele to lose their mind. Yeah, now,
- 41:56Speaker 1: one question before I let you go. This is from
- 41:58Speaker 1: our mail bag. I don't want to allow our wonderful
- 42:01Speaker 1: verdict plus subscribers down. This question is from Adam Bomb
- 42:05Speaker 1: seventeen fifty love a great pun. This question very very important,
- 42:11Speaker 1: especially compared to all the stuff we've been talking about today.
- 42:13Speaker 1: What's your favorite band? What's my favorite band? So I'm
- 42:20Speaker 1: not terribly musically literate, so it's it's actually a complicated question.
- 42:24Speaker 1: I grew up as a kid listening to classic rock,
- 42:27Speaker 1: so I listened to groups like Who, Genesis, The Kinks,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I saw Pink Floyd and Concert and now I listened
- 42:39Speaker 1: more to country music. In fact, I was supposed to
- 42:42Speaker 1: all right. I was so bummed. I was supposed to
- 42:43Speaker 1: go last weekend to Garth Brooks and it was awesome.
- 42:48Speaker 1: I got invited to go backstage and meet Garth Brooks
- 42:50Speaker 1: and never met Garth Brooks. I'm not someone who generally
- 42:53Speaker 1: hangs out with like famous musicians, but it was cool.
- 42:56Speaker 1: I got an invitation, Hey, you want to come back
- 42:58Speaker 1: and meet Garth Brooks. I was like, holy, I would
- 43:00Speaker 1: love to. The concert was in Houston Saturday night. We
- 43:07Speaker 1: were in DC all night voting on voter Rama Saturday night.
- 43:10Speaker 1: So not only did I see the Democrats bankrupt America,
- 43:13Speaker 1: jackup taxes, pass a bill that will increase gas prices,
- 43:17Speaker 1: increase inflation, but I missed the friggin Garth Brooks concert.
- 43:20Speaker 1: So it will completely bummed me out. And the fellow
- 43:25Speaker 1: who had invited me to go. He sent me pictures
- 43:27Speaker 1: from the concert, which which was a little bit like
- 43:29Speaker 1: sort of rubbing salt in the wounds. I'm like, yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: that concert looks pretty amazing, and I'm I'm down in
- 43:35Speaker 1: the basement of the Capitol right now, and wow, that's
- 43:38Speaker 1: that's not where I am. If it makes you feel
- 43:40Speaker 1: any better, Senator, I'm not convinced to that you have
- 43:43Speaker 1: not met Garth Brooks because I have never seen Garth
- 43:46Speaker 1: Brooks and Glenn Beck in the same room at the
- 43:49Speaker 1: same time. So I'm not making any accusations here. It's
- 43:53Speaker 1: just to me a little bit suspect there's two guys
- 43:56Speaker 1: I don't know. I will say, by the way, this
- 44:00Speaker 1: this year. Earlier this year, I was supposed to take
- 44:04Speaker 1: the family to George Straiton concert at the Houston Rodeo
- 44:07Speaker 1: and we were coming back from spring break. We had
- 44:11Speaker 1: been skiing and we ended up missing our plane. And
- 44:15Speaker 1: so this has been a bad year for concerts because
- 44:17Speaker 1: I've had two concerts. I was completely psyched to go
- 44:19Speaker 1: to George Straight and Garth Brooks, and I missed them both,
- 44:22Speaker 1: which really sucked. But I did get to see the
- 44:25Speaker 1: Eagles and concert this year, which was an amazing concert.
- 44:29Speaker 1: So I enjoyed that. But I would say I don't
- 44:32Speaker 1: know that I necessarily have one favorite band, but I'd
- 44:35Speaker 1: say it used to be classic rock. Now it has
- 44:37Speaker 1: shifted more country and probably smoking Mike and the God
- 44:40Speaker 1: King I assume as a favorite of years. I mean,
- 44:42Speaker 1: we can get it more into it, you know, at
- 44:43Speaker 1: a later date. We will be getting into a lot
- 44:45Speaker 1: more at a later date, because we are now accepting
- 44:48Speaker 1: applications for the YAFF Campus Tour. If you want to
- 44:53Speaker 1: submit your school as a possible venue for the YAFF
- 44:56Speaker 1: Campus Store, you go to YAF dot org Verdict. We
- 45:01Speaker 1: had lots of fun last time we went down to Texas,
- 45:04Speaker 1: A and m we went to Yale. We've been all

- 45:10Speaker 1: to be doing three campuses. Apply today YAF dot org
- 45:14Speaker 1: slash Verdict. But before we go on the road, there
- 45:18Speaker 1: is so much more to discuss, and that will be
- 45:21Speaker 1: on the Cloakroom with our friend Liz Wheeler. Liz, what
- 45:23Speaker 1: are you gonna be talking about? So what we're gonna
- 45:25Speaker 1: talk about on cloak Room today is actually a continuation
- 45:28Speaker 1: of what you talked about on Verdict today and it's
- 45:30Speaker 1: this distrust that the American people feel in our government
- 45:34Speaker 1: institutions and what the recourse for this is. Because there
- 45:37Speaker 1: is this feeling in our country of hopelessness. What do
- 45:39Speaker 1: we do to counter the FBI's abuse of power when
- 45:42Speaker 1: they raided Marlago? And in the wake actually of the
- 45:46Speaker 1: Inflation Reduction Act or so called Inflation Reduction Act, people
- 45:50Speaker 1: are also talking about this as it relates to fiscal
- 45:52Speaker 1: responsibility in our country. There's a movement called Convention of
- 45:56Speaker 1: States that's proposing an idea, but this isn't widely accepted
- 46:00Speaker 1: in the conservative movement or the Republican Party. So we
- 46:02Speaker 1: are going to break down what this is, what the
- 46:05Speaker 1: pros and the cons of this are, and if it
- 46:07Speaker 1: would be workable, and if it's workable, how would we
- 46:10Speaker 1: prepare for this. So it's going to be very in depth,
- 46:13Speaker 1: a very nitty gritty, and exactly what conversation our country
- 46:16Speaker 1: needs to have on how to solve these issues. You
- 46:18Speaker 1: can join us at Verdict with Ted Cruz dot com
- 46:21Speaker 1: slash plus my promo code as always a cloakroom you
- 46:24Speaker 1: can watch for free for a month on your annual subscription.
- 46:27Speaker 1: Verdict with Ted Cruz dot com slash plus and we'll
- 46:30Speaker 1: see if we get a new constitution or some changes
- 46:33Speaker 1: to our constitution. I look forward to it. But that's
- 46:36Speaker 1: all for me. I'm Michael Knowles. This is Verdict with
- 46:38Speaker 1: Ted Cruz. This episode of Verdict with Ted Cruz is
- 46:50Speaker 1: being brought to you by Jobs, Freedom and Security Pack,
- 46:53Speaker 1: a political action committee dedicated to supporting conservative causes, organizations,
- 46:58Speaker 1: and candidates across the country. In twenty twenty two, Job's
- 47:01Speaker 1: Freedom and Security Pack plans to donate to conservative candidates
- 47:05Speaker 1: running for Congress and help the Republican Party across the nation.
