- 2:02Speaker 1: I shall will a good morning everybody. You're listening to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show. I said yesterday I
- 2:12Speaker 1: was trying to do something with it. Like I said,
- 2:14Speaker 1: you know that the trying part is over. I'm actually
- 2:17Speaker 1: doing something with it. And uh, yesterday I spoke to
- 2:22Speaker 1: you about finding your mission, your purpose, and you know
- 2:26Speaker 1: what it's all for and and and you know what's
- 2:29Speaker 1: it about and how to get at it. I so
- 2:32Speaker 1: spoke to you about that yesterday now, and I told
- 2:36Speaker 1: you that the only way, the only way to find
- 2:40Speaker 1: your real purpose, your real mission in life. You're real
- 2:43Speaker 1: what for The thing that you got to go get
- 2:45Speaker 1: it get after is you gotta connect with God. You
- 2:49Speaker 1: have to connect with him because as your creator, no
- 2:52Speaker 1: one knows better what you were made for than your maker.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I mean not just I mean, man and just make
- 3:02Speaker 1: a lot of common sense, don't it. I mean really,
- 3:06Speaker 1: you know, people cure me with with with the lack
- 3:09Speaker 1: of belief. I mean, you know, like all of this
- 3:12Speaker 1: that we have today spun out from a cosmic ball
- 3:16Speaker 1: of dusk in the galaxy that cooled off and and
- 3:21Speaker 1: formed all these lakes and rivers and clouds and mountains
- 3:25Speaker 1: and valleys and birds and animals and people from a
- 3:30Speaker 1: cosmic speck of dust, And that they act like there's
- 3:34Speaker 1: no connection to a higher calling or a higher reasoning,
- 3:38Speaker 1: that that's just you know, and and they try to
- 3:40Speaker 1: create for those that do believe this hocus pocus ritual,
- 3:44Speaker 1: this magical. What is that there's no scientific I don't
- 3:52Speaker 1: august science. I think that science is very real. I
- 3:56Speaker 1: think that science is very applicable. I think that sign
- 4:00Speaker 1: as helps us learn so many things. But science ain't everything.
- 4:06Speaker 1: Now you you you might as well under that's there's
- 4:09Speaker 1: some unexplainable that science can't wrap their mind around, so
- 4:13Speaker 1: here they go with something else. And then you've got
- 4:16Speaker 1: the naysayers who who use that, the nonbelievers who use
- 4:20Speaker 1: that as the proof that there is no how calling
- 4:22Speaker 1: or how being. And I listen to me, I I
- 4:27Speaker 1: don't really into explain in all that a way. If
- 4:29Speaker 1: that's how you feel, then going and get the feeling
- 4:31Speaker 1: how you're feeling with it. But let me explain something
- 4:33Speaker 1: to you. I just don't see how. I don't see how, man?
- 4:38Speaker 1: What is this? What is this conscious that eats away
- 4:41Speaker 1: at you from time to time? Where does the moral
- 4:44Speaker 1: barometer come from that exists in your life? What? What
- 4:48Speaker 1: makes you know the difference between right and wrong? What?
- 4:51Speaker 1: What did that come from? That cosmic expector? Dust that
- 4:54Speaker 1: spun out of control and cool this fiery hot ball down,
- 4:58Speaker 1: and then these lakes and rivers and all the clouds
- 5:02Speaker 1: and mountains got creel. What where did your conscience come from?
- 5:07Speaker 1: What is your need to cry out from? What does
- 5:10Speaker 1: the word Lord help me come from? Why when you
- 5:15Speaker 1: get in a in a dog place and you whisper Jesus,
- 5:18Speaker 1: where did that come from? Huh? What is that? What
- 5:24Speaker 1: is that? If you're driving on the road, and your
- 5:27Speaker 1: car caroms off a cliff. The words that come out
- 5:31Speaker 1: your mouth? Where where them come from? Oh? Lord help me?
- 5:37Speaker 1: You know where? What are these promises come from? That
- 5:39Speaker 1: we make, these deals we cut, that we make with
- 5:43Speaker 1: a higher power? Why why when you're at your lowest moment? Man?
- 5:48Speaker 1: You you you? You? You turned somewhere? Okay, not for that.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I've I've explained my side of it. And a matter
- 5:55Speaker 1: of fact, God is really almost unexplainable to me. So
- 6:01Speaker 1: really for me to sit here and try to explain,
- 6:03Speaker 1: I'm really not that good of a guy, you know
- 6:05Speaker 1: what I mean, I'm not that person. So let me
- 6:07Speaker 1: try to give you something real here. Okay, So this
- 6:10Speaker 1: we didn't just had that moment. I had to get
- 6:12Speaker 1: that off my chest. I want, I want. I want
- 6:14Speaker 1: to share something with you about when you strike out
- 6:20Speaker 1: to find your mission, or how about when you strike
- 6:23Speaker 1: out on your mission once you discover what your purpose is?
- 6:29Speaker 1: Or let's let's simplify what happens when you set a
- 6:34Speaker 1: goal and you're ready to strike out on that goal.
- 6:38Speaker 1: What happens when you set and ambition in front of you,
- 6:44Speaker 1: or put something in your sights that you want to
- 6:47Speaker 1: attain that you want to become successful at what's the
- 6:51Speaker 1: mind set that you have to develop? There are three
- 6:56Speaker 1: things you must first ask, skin, you must then believe,
- 7:05Speaker 1: and you must then receive. Now the received part all
- 7:09Speaker 1: these parts is is is it's gotta thing to it.
- 7:13Speaker 1: You gotta ask. You just gotta ask for it. You
- 7:17Speaker 1: know you've heard the scripture before, you have not because
- 7:19Speaker 1: you asked not why don't you ask? But then after
- 7:24Speaker 1: you ask, here's the kick. You got to believe that
- 7:28Speaker 1: it can happen for you. Stop looking at the success
- 7:32Speaker 1: of other people and not thinking that that same success
- 7:35Speaker 1: can happen for you. And I'm not saying that Pacific
- 7:38Speaker 1: way specific way. I'm just saying that the success can
- 7:42Speaker 1: happen for you, just like it can happen for somebody else.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Why do you think it keeps happening to other people
- 7:48Speaker 1: over and over because they ask and they believe. Now
- 7:53Speaker 1: here's the cold part. Receive it? Oh, oh, what you mean?
- 7:57Speaker 1: Receive it? I asked for it, I believe even Why
- 8:00Speaker 1: would I not want to receive it? Act like it,
- 8:05Speaker 1: Act like it's already there. Behave as though you have
- 8:10Speaker 1: it in your hands, Smile about it, Realize that man
- 8:17Speaker 1: it's just days away, and how many other days that is?
- 8:22Speaker 1: If it's days away, it's just days away. We don't
- 8:27Speaker 1: know if it's gonna happen tomorrow, next week, in thirty days.
- 8:30Speaker 1: We don't know if it's gonna take a few years.
- 8:34Speaker 1: But you got to receive it though. You gotta ask,
- 8:38Speaker 1: You got to believe, and you got to receive it.
- 8:42Speaker 1: You gotta act as though as that not as another part.
- 8:45Speaker 1: Not to this about work. You don't please. Faith without
- 8:48Speaker 1: works is dead. Don't think you're gonna just ask for
- 8:50Speaker 1: something believing and then go sit down and start watching TV.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Come on, now, let's get real. Let's not leave out
- 8:55Speaker 1: the other jewel. You got to work. But now m
- 9:01Speaker 1: here hear what I want you to know about when
- 9:04Speaker 1: you strike out on that mission, that the journey that
- 9:09Speaker 1: you strike out on to accomplish a goal or to
- 9:12Speaker 1: set out on the mission, the journey, if you could
- 9:16Speaker 1: understand this, and to help you so much, the journey
- 9:19Speaker 1: is a process. It's not an arrival date. It's a process.
- 9:26Speaker 1: All you're looking to do, folks, is start the process.
- 9:33Speaker 1: Get it started. Don't worry about the arrival date. Act
- 9:38Speaker 1: like it's there, and the arrival date is coming. But
- 9:44Speaker 1: here is the beauty of the journey being a process.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But all along the way of your journey you will
- 9:53Speaker 1: find success the whole time you're on the on the journey,
- 10:00Speaker 1: the whole time you're in the process of finding your mission,
- 10:03Speaker 1: fulfilling your mission, uncovering your dreams, reaching your goals. The
- 10:08Speaker 1: beauty of it is all along the way you're going
- 10:11Speaker 1: to find success on so many levels. And people fail
- 10:18Speaker 1: to look at that part. They keep thinking of themselves, Man,
- 10:21Speaker 1: I ain't there yet, I ain't you know. It's like
- 10:24Speaker 1: when you take a little kid on a long car
- 10:26Speaker 1: tripping in the back seat. Are we there yet? Are
- 10:29Speaker 1: we there yet? Boy? If you just look out the window,
- 10:33Speaker 1: see where we can be in Look out the window,
- 10:36Speaker 1: look at the mountains, Look at these trees, look at
- 10:39Speaker 1: the views we got. No, we ain't there yet. But Lord,
- 10:44Speaker 1: ha mercy, look at what he's showing us along the way.
- 10:48Speaker 1: Smell the roses, have yourself a cup of coffee, chill
- 10:54Speaker 1: every now and then, and see what he's doing for you.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Because the journey is a process as But man, know
- 11:01Speaker 1: that in the process of arriving at your designated gold dream, ambition,
- 11:06Speaker 1: or mission, understand this that the journey is a process,
- 11:11Speaker 1: but all along the way you will find success. There
- 11:14Speaker 1: are things that are going to happen to you along
- 11:17Speaker 1: the way, man, that will be so gratifying and fulfilling.
- 11:21Speaker 1: Where the journey is joyful, there is joy in the journey.
- 11:27Speaker 1: You don't have to be there to appreciate the ride.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Appreciate the journey and the process. Stop getting mad because
- 11:37Speaker 1: you ain't at the arrival data. Your dreams ain't came
- 11:40Speaker 1: true yet. Look up, Look up. You might discover, man,
- 11:45Speaker 1: that you're live in better. You might discover that you
- 11:47Speaker 1: don't have a million yet, but you'd have made a
- 11:49Speaker 1: quarter of a million what you're tripping for because you
- 11:51Speaker 1: ain't got the million yet. Remember when you didn't have nothing?
- 11:55Speaker 1: Be grateful for the two hundred and fifty thousand dollar mark,
- 11:58Speaker 1: the hundred thousand dollar lamar, the three hundred and twenty
- 12:02Speaker 1: two thousand dollar mark. Don't you understand, man? You may
- 12:06Speaker 1: not be where you want to be, But man, can't
- 12:08Speaker 1: you thank God that you ain't where you was? How
- 12:11Speaker 1: about that one? You're listening to the Steen eighteen minutes
- 12:21Speaker 1: after the hour. Welcome to the ride, y'all. Steve Harvey
- 12:23Speaker 1: Marty Show. I hope my micro levels are fine. Uh.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I'm broadcasting from away from the studio, and the engineers gone,
- 12:36Speaker 1: this guy, this dude. How's everybody sound good? Okay, good,
- 12:46Speaker 1: just as long as it sounds good. Um. Well, no, no, no,
- 12:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna save my statement. Oh, get off of meat
- 13:03Speaker 1: out though. Oh it could happen? See how he? How
- 13:12Speaker 1: could he? Yes, this has never happened before. You know,
- 13:22Speaker 1: how could you do such a thing? You remember? You
- 13:27Speaker 1: remember it? Oh my god, what were you thinking? That
- 13:36Speaker 1: was there right there? Yeah it was. This is deplorable.
- 13:44Speaker 1: It's an outrage. You're the worst ever all time. We
- 13:54Speaker 1: gonna kill you. Oh yeah, be a we gonna kill you.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Took a lie that sick of that grind? Do you? Oh?
- 14:10Speaker 1: I've been all cancer? Oh I got cushed out in Spanish. Yeah,
- 14:27Speaker 1: this is unbelievable. I'm just going over my mind some
- 14:31Speaker 1: stuff to stick out. Oh, I ain't even I ain't
- 14:34Speaker 1: even got into the nasty. I almost didn't see what
- 14:38Speaker 1: you're talking about because I was still mad. Didn't win?
- 14:43Speaker 1: He looked, he looked. I'll be making a statement this morning.
- 14:50Speaker 1: I think I'll have my statement, so it'll you know,
- 14:53Speaker 1: everybody's listening to see what I got to say. Eight
- 14:57Speaker 1: o'clock Eastern today, eight o'clock Eastern today, gather around Steve
- 15:06Speaker 1: Harvey's comments on the Oscars last night. Anything in particular, Okay,
- 15:17Speaker 1: the announcement of the wrong best Picture, the biggest award
- 15:25Speaker 1: of the night. He had the biggest show in all
- 15:29Speaker 1: of entertaining. The Oscars is bigger? Yeah, whoa sure it
- 15:38Speaker 1: was was bigger then when I started hosting Miss Universe.
- 15:47Speaker 1: But my thoughts on Jimmy Kimmel. But Steve. A great
- 15:53Speaker 1: moment though, was when a tour bus actually came in
- 15:58Speaker 1: to the Oscar auditorium and what was his name? Greg
- 16:03Speaker 1: from Chicago and his Gary got off the bus. They
- 16:07Speaker 1: didn't know that they were coming in. It was a prank.
- 16:09Speaker 1: You know how Jimmy Kimmel does is pranks. They came
- 16:12Speaker 1: in the Oscar audience. It was boy, you had to
- 16:18Speaker 1: you had to really be there to see this. But
- 16:20Speaker 1: the look on Greg's face and his fiance Gary, Oh
- 16:25Speaker 1: his name was Gary. I thought you meant he was
- 16:27Speaker 1: from Geary, but yeah, his name was Gary. He was
- 16:29Speaker 1: from Chicago. Okay, they were so shocked. They had their phones.
- 16:36Speaker 1: It was just no, you you just had Oh god,
- 16:40Speaker 1: I trying to explain it to you, but it's one
- 16:43Speaker 1: of those things where you really did have to see.
- 16:45Speaker 1: They were so shocked. They had their phones out and
- 16:48Speaker 1: and Jimmy Kimmel was saying, you don't have to do
- 16:50Speaker 1: your phones. It's on TV. He was like, I know,
- 16:53Speaker 1: I know, but I gotta do it. I gotta do it.
- 16:54Speaker 1: He has just fiance. Who's your favorite actor? She said
- 16:57Speaker 1: that man right there pointed pointed right at Denzel Denzel. Denzel.
- 17:04Speaker 1: They told him that they were getting ready to get married.
- 17:06Speaker 1: Denzel got up and said, and now I pronounce you
- 17:09Speaker 1: man and wife. You make kids the bride. They took
- 17:11Speaker 1: a selfie with Denzel. I mean, just talk about a
- 17:14Speaker 1: once in a lifetime experience. You know. It was just fantastic.
- 17:19Speaker 1: They had no clue it was just a tour bus.
- 17:20Speaker 1: They thought they were going to see Yeah, they thought
- 17:23Speaker 1: they were going to see something else in Hollywood. Uh Gary,
- 17:27Speaker 1: you said Carla Gary from Chicago and his fiancee Gary
- 17:32Speaker 1: and yeah, oh what yeah, yeah he was holding Vicky's purse.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Yeah that's how black they were. Okay, why dudes, that
- 17:43Speaker 1: the whole person. But Gary and Vicky. Yes, Oh my god,
- 17:50Speaker 1: it was a moment, Steve, it was truly a moment.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Oh man, Yeah, Denzel has had He was tearing up.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Did you see that? Did you notice his eyes are
- 18:01Speaker 1: teared up? He had water in his eyes. Are you
- 18:05Speaker 1: talking on the mic? Yeah, that's something going on. I'm
- 18:09Speaker 1: trying to hear it. You can't hear me. Oh, I
- 18:12Speaker 1: can hear him. I can hear you, guys, and then
- 18:14Speaker 1: I can hear myself perfectly. It sounded. She sounded a
- 18:18Speaker 1: little weird, did I am? I okay right now? Hello,
- 18:21Speaker 1: I think so? Check wine check check. Yeah, I could
- 18:23Speaker 1: he I mean, I mean you were just fake. Okay.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It was loud and clearly in my ear. But anyway, yeah, Denzel, Um,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I was so upset. I wanted him to win for
- 18:33Speaker 1: Fences so badly because he was so just awesome in
- 18:36Speaker 1: that movie and he directed it. I was already mad
- 18:39Speaker 1: he didn't Best Best Director nomination. But anyway, Uh, it
- 18:44Speaker 1: went to um Casey Affleck, who won for Manchester by
- 18:48Speaker 1: the Sea. Who's been Affleck's brother in case you don't
- 18:52Speaker 1: know who that is. Yeah, that was a rough one.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I thought Denzel had it, and then after that they
- 18:59Speaker 1: showed what they or yeah, best actor, best Actor, and
- 19:04Speaker 1: then after that they put the camera on Denzel and
- 19:07Speaker 1: you could see that he had teared up. I don't know,
- 19:09Speaker 1: I mean, I can't imagine. I don't know what it
- 19:13Speaker 1: was for, but it was it was touching to see him,
- 19:16Speaker 1: you know, and that vulnerable, vulnerable He got yes to
- 19:21Speaker 1: one for Training Day and one for Glory. Supporting actor
- 19:24Speaker 1: for Glory. But I mean robbed twice. Yes he should definitely,
- 19:34Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I would have been up there he'd got it.
- 19:40Speaker 1: Ye oh yeah, you know, damn body what that car
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'd say, but network, Yeah, but herschela ali one off.
- 19:59Speaker 1: Y'all straped it out in the media tomorrow, like y'all
- 20:03Speaker 1: told me, I'll be back with more of Steve eight
- 20:08Speaker 1: o'clock in the announcement, my first official announcement on Warren Baby,
- 20:14Speaker 1: the oscars, what they should do and how I know
- 20:19Speaker 1: he feels show. Wow. The day after, I know it's
- 20:32Speaker 1: so much going on. It's so much I will take
- 20:36Speaker 1: phone calls. Yeah, we we have a lot of audio
- 20:40Speaker 1: from the show last night as well. I didn't see it. Yeah,
- 20:44Speaker 1: that's what we got for you. Let's start with I
- 20:48Speaker 1: didn't see the Oscars out there. Yeah, well you got
- 20:53Speaker 1: a big shot at worldwide right now. Keep yeah, we'll
- 21:00Speaker 1: be all right, don't forget it. Eight o'clock Eastern this morning.
- 21:10Speaker 1: You will hear Steve Harvey's take on the Oscar flub
- 21:16Speaker 1: last night that Jimmy Kimmel said, was your fault. Steve.
- 21:20Speaker 1: By the way, so you're a buddle, Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 21:24Speaker 1: you said it's a serious. Yeah, yeah, I have a statement.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But there were so many moments last night, uh, from
- 21:38Speaker 1: host Jimmy Kimmel. He did a few, um different things.
- 21:42Speaker 1: I mean, I thought the Oscars, uh, we were pretty
- 21:45Speaker 1: exciting last night. One of the things he did was
- 21:48Speaker 1: there was a tour bus that um normally goes through Hollywood,
- 21:51Speaker 1: you know, with tourists from different parts of the world
- 21:54Speaker 1: in the country and just to go and see you know,
- 21:57Speaker 1: the Hollywood have Hollywood landmarks, and so this last night
- 22:01Speaker 1: they were fooled into thinking they were going to a
- 22:04Speaker 1: theater to see one thing. But actually Jimmy Kimmel let
- 22:07Speaker 1: the audience in that the tour bus was actually going
- 22:10Speaker 1: to come in the in the in the theater live
- 22:14Speaker 1: where the Oscars were going on the tour bus had
- 22:18Speaker 1: no idea. A couple from Chicago. Uh, we're the first
- 22:24Speaker 1: to get off the bus. This is what that's sound like? Chicago?
- 22:29Speaker 1: Where are you from from Chicago? You know we're on TV,
- 22:33Speaker 1: so you don't need to do that. I wants you.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Let me give you a little tour. This is Nicole Kidman. Uh.
- 22:41Speaker 1: Fun fact. He was discovered in Redondo Beach at a
- 22:44Speaker 1: quiz nose. This is Ryan Gosling. He's very handsome. Don't
- 22:50Speaker 1: look into his eyes. And then um, and this was
- 22:59Speaker 1: a great moment. We talked about this earlier. How Jimmy
- 23:03Speaker 1: Kimmel asked Gary, was that his wife the lady he
- 23:06Speaker 1: was with? He said, no, that's my fiance. He said
- 23:08Speaker 1: when who? And then he went over to the fiance
- 23:11Speaker 1: and said, who's your favorite actor? And she said that
- 23:13Speaker 1: man right there, pointing at Denzel Gary. Is this your
- 23:16Speaker 1: wife over here? Vicky min Vicky? Are you here with Gary? Oh? Really?
- 23:24Speaker 1: When are you getting married? Who's your favorite actor? That
- 23:29Speaker 1: man right there, Denzel? Would you be the best man
- 23:35Speaker 1: at their wedding? Come on, yeah, that's a good idea.
- 23:44Speaker 1: I now pronounce you husband and wife. R It was
- 23:51Speaker 1: such a real beautiful famous now crazy funny moment. Yeah,
- 23:56Speaker 1: it was. It was really good. Gary and Vicky from
- 23:59Speaker 1: Chicago and I mean Steve. The funny part was that
- 24:02Speaker 1: they were really dressed like tourists, Like Gary had on shorts.
- 24:08Speaker 1: Really he was holding Vicki's bag. It was just so funny.
- 24:11Speaker 1: Oh my god. It was really really a fun moment
- 24:15Speaker 1: they have on social media. Everybody got an uncle like
- 24:17Speaker 1: give yes, I'll say maybe late forties, late forties somewhere
- 24:26Speaker 1: along in there meant to late forties. Really fish, Yeah,
- 24:32Speaker 1: that was cute. Yeah, we have a lot of moments,
- 24:34Speaker 1: a lot of moments from last night Oscars. Uh, eight o'clock,
- 24:38Speaker 1: Steve will give his rebuttal. How you missed Oscars? Uh,
- 24:45Speaker 1: it's called working on Sunday. I missed the Oscars. Yeah,
- 24:51Speaker 1: you work Sunday night. Yeah, y'all asked Tommy, do he
- 24:58Speaker 1: know who his uncle? Lee? You're listening to the Steve
- 25:02Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, all right, coming up at the top
- 25:10Speaker 1: of the hour, miss and will be here with our
- 25:11Speaker 1: national news. Yeah. But you know what, before we get
- 25:20Speaker 1: to that, Steve, we'll go ahead and do the rundown
- 25:23Speaker 1: and how this actually happens. So people who know what
- 25:25Speaker 1: we're talking about, and know what you're talking about when
- 25:27Speaker 1: you get to all right, we'll do it right after this. Alright.
- 25:44Speaker 1: So the eighty ninth Annual Academy Awards were last night. Uh,
- 25:48Speaker 1: everybody's talking about the Big Boy. This was a stunner
- 25:53Speaker 1: last night. Yeah, it was just all right, here we go.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Fade down Away and Warren Baby uh were asked to
- 26:02Speaker 1: come and present the the Oscar for Best Picture, UH
- 26:06Speaker 1: as they celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of Bonnie and Clyde.
- 26:09Speaker 1: So Faye Dunaway Warren Baby presented La La Land as
- 26:13Speaker 1: the winner of the Best Picture award, even though Moonlight
- 26:17Speaker 1: had actually won Check it out and the Academy Award
- 26:25Speaker 1: Yeast Picture, La La Land. So you see what happened
- 26:37Speaker 1: there all that time where the pause, that big pause,
- 26:41Speaker 1: and then he handed the envelope. He let Faye Dunaway
- 26:44Speaker 1: read it. He knew it. What's wrong? He let Faye
- 26:48Speaker 1: Dunaway read it. All right? So while giving you their
- 26:51Speaker 1: I had no body yeah, wars So While giving their
- 27:01Speaker 1: acceptance speech for Best Picture, the La La Land producers
- 27:04Speaker 1: tell the audience that there's been a mistake and actually
- 27:09Speaker 1: Moonlight one Best Picture. The producers of La La Land
- 27:15Speaker 1: because they were up there on stage. They had given
- 27:18Speaker 1: their acceptance speeches and everything. Everyone from the movie was
- 27:22Speaker 1: on stage and given their speeches and everything, almost like
- 27:29Speaker 1: accepting the crown, almost exactly, like very similar. Here's how
- 27:35Speaker 1: that went. I'm sorry, there's a mistake. Moon Like you
- 27:40Speaker 1: guys won Best Picture. I just it was kind. I
- 27:45Speaker 1: didn't like that moment for Moonlight, you know, because it
- 27:50Speaker 1: wasn't exciting enough. It was so like the moment for movie.
- 27:54Speaker 1: Work with you every day. You didn't like the moment
- 27:58Speaker 1: for moon the whole country, country of people. All right.
- 28:17Speaker 1: So now Warren Beatty explains exactly what went wrong when
- 28:22Speaker 1: he presented the Best Picture award were I wanted to
- 28:26Speaker 1: tell you what happened. I opened the envelope and it
- 28:31Speaker 1: said Emma Stone La La Land. That's why I took
- 28:36Speaker 1: such a long look at Faye and at you. I
- 28:41Speaker 1: wasn't trying to be funny. Well you were funny. Thank
- 28:45Speaker 1: you very much, thank you very much. Wow, this is
- 28:48Speaker 1: this is Moonlight, the best picture. Okay, you see what
- 28:54Speaker 1: happened there, Warren, I don't understand. Well, Warren Beatty was
- 28:57Speaker 1: trying to explain who he said Emma Stone. Yeah. See,
- 29:04Speaker 1: Emma Stone had just won the Oscar for Best Actress.
- 29:07Speaker 1: She was the award right before that. So somehow Warren
- 29:11Speaker 1: Batty got that envelope right instead, you know, he goes
- 29:17Speaker 1: so it said Emma Stone again, Yes, yes, it has
- 29:20Speaker 1: said Emma Stone. Or somebody said they make duplicate envelope.
- 29:24Speaker 1: They must have, because Emma Stone says she still had
- 29:27Speaker 1: her own in her hand. So they said they make
- 29:29Speaker 1: duplicate envelopes. So either someone gave him that envelope the duplicate,
- 29:34Speaker 1: or he picked it up on his way out to
- 29:36Speaker 1: the stage. We don't know exactly. They're still investigating that.
- 29:39Speaker 1: I guess all we know is Warren got it out
- 29:42Speaker 1: of his hand. Here, Faith, Yeah, I can't do this.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do it, all right, So this is
- 29:48Speaker 1: for you, Steve. Jimmy Kimmel jokingly blamed someone we all
- 29:51Speaker 1: know and love for the best picture mishap. Uh, So
- 29:55Speaker 1: listen to that. Here we go, this very unfortunate what
- 29:59Speaker 1: had I personally I blamed Steve Harvey for this. I
- 30:04Speaker 1: would like to see you get an Oscar anyway. Why
- 30:06Speaker 1: can't we just give out a whole bunch of them.
- 30:08Speaker 1: I'm gonna be really proud to hand this to my
- 30:09Speaker 1: friends for Moonlight. That's nice, so nasty, that's your boy. Hello,
- 30:22Speaker 1: you're not laughing, you're not laughing with us. I mean
- 30:26Speaker 1: what you know? I can't even tell you. I don't care.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Oh you didn't see it. Yeah, So that's how I
- 30:38Speaker 1: went down last night at nine Annual Academy Awards. Congratulations
- 30:44Speaker 1: to Moonlight. See at least they got in boss. You
- 30:49Speaker 1: think somebody got fired though last night all this morning? Oh,
- 30:54Speaker 1: somebody paying for that. Trust and believe somebody paid for
- 30:58Speaker 1: mine last year that you got death threats that. Yeah.
- 31:03Speaker 1: See what they did last year was they sent a
- 31:06Speaker 1: card out there that they never sent in rehearsal. In rehearsal,
- 31:09Speaker 1: all we've ever had was two names on the card.
- 31:13Speaker 1: On game night, a lady sends a card out there
- 31:16Speaker 1: who used to be with the from with Pageantans said
- 31:19Speaker 1: we gotta do first runner up. Then he makes the announcement.
- 31:22Speaker 1: They put the other name down in the right hand corner.
- 31:25Speaker 1: My thumb over it because I ain't used to seeing
- 31:29Speaker 1: no name down in no ware. Oh but ain't nobody
- 31:32Speaker 1: come out there with me? In one hour? One hour
- 31:37Speaker 1: Steve Harvey's rebuttal. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 31:46Speaker 1: All right, Steve, she is here, gentlemen, Miss ann Trip,
- 31:53Speaker 1: thank you, thank you, Steve. Morning everybody, Shirley, everybody's on board.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. This is entered with the news. Let's
- 32:00Speaker 1: start with the serious stuff. At this weekend's nonpartisan Annual
- 32:03Speaker 1: Governors Meeting, the subject of repealing Obamacare and what it
- 32:06Speaker 1: would really mean to people was the main focus, whereas
- 32:09Speaker 1: that Trump administration cuts could result in the loss of
- 32:12Speaker 1: health coverage for a lot of folks. Ohio's Republican Governor
- 32:15Speaker 1: John Kasy says honest negotiations are in order, and that
- 32:18Speaker 1: that includes lawmakers from his side of the aisle. I
- 32:21Speaker 1: think there are some very conservative Republicans in the House
- 32:23Speaker 1: who are gonna say just get rid of the whole thing.
- 32:26Speaker 1: And you know that's not acceptable when you have twenty
- 32:28Speaker 1: million people or seven hundred thousand people in my state,
- 32:31Speaker 1: because where did the metal EO go? Where did the
- 32:34Speaker 1: drug addicted go? Cases speaking on CBSS, face the nation
- 32:38Speaker 1: and said healthcare reform has to be a joint effort. Okay,
- 32:40Speaker 1: last night's oscars made all the news for Best Supporting Actor,
- 32:44Speaker 1: me Hershela Ali from Moonlight. Best Supporting Actress Viola Davis
- 32:48Speaker 1: for Fences. In all this one place that all the
- 32:52Speaker 1: people with the greatest potential, I gathered one place, and
- 32:57Speaker 1: that's the graveyard. People ask me all the time, what
- 33:01Speaker 1: kind of stories do you want to tell, Viola, and
- 33:04Speaker 1: I say, exhumed those bodies, exhumed those stories, the stories
- 33:09Speaker 1: of the people who dreamed big and never saw those
- 33:13Speaker 1: dreams to fruition, people who fell in love and lost.
- 33:18Speaker 1: I became an artist, and thank god I did, because
- 33:22Speaker 1: we are the only profession that celebrates what it means
- 33:25Speaker 1: to live a life beautiful. Um. I love the spot
- 33:28Speaker 1: where hidden figures still lovely. Katherine Johnson was brought out
- 33:31Speaker 1: on stage. She's unfortunately only one of those three amazing
- 33:35Speaker 1: black women who was still alive. She was brought out,
- 33:37Speaker 1: just beautiful woman. Best Adapted Screenplay was Moonlight, and then
- 33:41Speaker 1: it was time to announce Best Picture and Steve, they
- 33:43Speaker 1: can back all off of you. The Academy Award for
- 33:46Speaker 1: Best Picture. La la lad, there's a mistake. Moonlight. You
- 33:55Speaker 1: guys won Best Picture. This is not a jo I'm
- 34:00Speaker 1: afraid they read the wrong thing. Moonlight is one best picture.
- 34:03Speaker 1: Moonlight best picture? Ran, what did you do? I want
- 34:14Speaker 1: to tell you what happened. I opened the envelope and
- 34:18Speaker 1: it said Emma Stone Lalla Land. That's why I took
- 34:24Speaker 1: such a long look at Faye and at you. I
- 34:29Speaker 1: wasn't trying to be funny. Well you were funny. Thank
- 34:32Speaker 1: you very much, thank you very much. Wow, this is
- 34:34Speaker 1: this is Moonlight, the best picture, and of course Jimmy
- 34:39Speaker 1: Kimmel decided to make it funny. This is very unfortunate
- 34:43Speaker 1: what happened. Personally? I blamed Steve Harvey for this. Yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: right back off? Oh no, no, oh no, Steve has
- 34:58Speaker 1: an announcement and need eight o'clock Eastern. Yeah nobody noticed
- 35:05Speaker 1: around Yeah miss it fact to show and be there
- 35:10Speaker 1: at eight o'clock. Yeah, it ain't gonna be done in
- 35:15Speaker 1: earth shadowy Oh oh yeah, all those themes and all
- 35:24Speaker 1: this here, death threats, all that, oh like turned upside down?
- 35:31Speaker 1: Oh yes, well all that? Yeah? Anybody want to kill one?
- 35:42Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah people, you said the whole
- 35:47Speaker 1: country of Columbia though, everyone. I can't even drink Columbian
- 35:50Speaker 1: call bring my coffee the room. Excuse me, it's that
- 35:56Speaker 1: Columbia because it is I can't drink. Oh boy, hey,
- 36:01Speaker 1: you know what. That was a powerful speech we just
- 36:04Speaker 1: heard from Viola Davis. One of the other speeches was
- 36:08Speaker 1: from me Herschela Ali his exemptance speech. Um for the
- 36:12Speaker 1: Best Supporting Actor for Moonlight. Wow. Um, I want to
- 36:19Speaker 1: thank my my teachers, my professors. Smile had so many
- 36:23Speaker 1: wonderful teachers and one thing that they consistently told me
- 36:28Speaker 1: Zelda fitz Handler, Ron Van lou Ken Washington, because that
- 36:34Speaker 1: it wasn't about you. It's not about you, It's about
- 36:37Speaker 1: these characters. You're a servant. Thank you, Barry Jenkins, thank you,
- 36:43Speaker 1: Rol Adam McCraney. Wow, good job. And he's a new dad.
- 36:51Speaker 1: His wife wasn't at there. She just had a baby
- 36:53Speaker 1: four days ago. Four days ago. Yeah. If you don't
- 36:57Speaker 1: recall his name, if his name doesn't ring a bell,
- 37:00Speaker 1: it's Remy. If you watch House of Cards, he plays Remy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:05Speaker 1: And when we got to give some love to um
- 37:08Speaker 1: you guys the movie Manchester by the Sea, Casey act
- 37:11Speaker 1: like one for Best Actor for that movie. But um,
- 37:15Speaker 1: this was the first feature film for Kimberly Stewart. Seeward
- 37:20Speaker 1: Kimberly seared um that she's ever produced. She was it
- 37:24Speaker 1: was a standout this year and for any young producer
- 37:26Speaker 1: in Hollywood, it's a pretty good record. Uh. Stewart uh
- 37:31Speaker 1: thirty four. She's the daughter of a billionaire, billionaire businessman,
- 37:34Speaker 1: David L. Stewart. Uh. He founded the Systems Integration for
- 37:39Speaker 1: Worldwide Technology. Um. This was her first film. Okay, So
- 37:44Speaker 1: she put up the money from Manchester by the Sea,
- 37:47Speaker 1: and she's a black sister, so she's a black woman producer,
- 37:51Speaker 1: practically unheard of, So congratulations to her. She said she
- 37:55Speaker 1: saw something when she first picked up the script from
- 37:58Speaker 1: Manchester by the Sea, and that made her want to
- 38:00Speaker 1: bring it to the screen. Um, it turned out to
- 38:03Speaker 1: be a great movie. Yeah, one if one of they
- 38:05Speaker 1: ask her for Best Original Screenplay. What don't you say, Tommy.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Her name is Kimberly Stewart. Yeah, she's a daughter of
- 38:17Speaker 1: a millionaire. She picked up the script. She wanted to
- 38:21Speaker 1: put some money behind this movie. A black woman producer,
- 38:24Speaker 1: So congratulations to her. It's so big, it's really big.
- 38:29Speaker 1: That's awesome. I think she can get Papa raised money
- 38:32Speaker 1: back out project. You got a script, you got it?
- 38:40Speaker 1: Ain't good. I'm just asking. You know, he's still pretty here,
- 38:50Speaker 1: a little fisted about that. Papa ra got to be
- 38:54Speaker 1: careful man. Still still hurt though Denzil didn't win that
- 38:59Speaker 1: same Girl and his eyes. Well, yeah, I wanted him
- 39:04Speaker 1: to get uh nominated for Best Director for Fences because
- 39:08Speaker 1: he directed the movie and he directed himself and his
- 39:11Speaker 1: performance was phenomenal. I mean, you know, you think he
- 39:16Speaker 1: can't get any better because he's so great, but oh
- 39:19Speaker 1: my god, was he awesome and Fences. But anyway, yeah,
- 39:23Speaker 1: they owe him to OSCARS. Yes, he's still the best
- 39:29Speaker 1: you could ask. Gary and Vicky came out there on soliciting.
- 39:37Speaker 1: There he is right there. All right, we'll be back
- 39:42Speaker 1: with the Butterfly. I think he has a fashion butterfly blog.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Today we'll see Oscar fashions. Yeah, when we come back
- 39:49Speaker 1: at eighteen nine, you're listening to the Steve Show, all right,

- 40:42Speaker 1: What ste is not going to be good? It was
- 40:48Speaker 1: about fashion last night. They were really giving it to
- 40:50Speaker 1: the people. Ryan Gosling had a wonderful taxedo. Did you
- 40:54Speaker 1: see it? Yeah? I think it was Yeah, it was
- 40:57Speaker 1: a white No, no, it was black. It was black

- 42:10Speaker 1: when she rocks the short hair cut, that's what I like. Well,
- 42:13Speaker 1: you know, I mean, I mean, I mean, well, women change. Yea,

- 46:43Speaker 1: One who excuse me? Talk about the hairstyles Hally Berry
- 46:48Speaker 1: and Viola Davis. Viola Davis, I think she's a beautiful woman.
- 46:53Speaker 1: I felt that she was covering her face with with
- 46:56Speaker 1: the hairstyles she had UM, So I didn't think she
- 46:59Speaker 1: did herself justice with that. Halle Berry. I'm sorry. I
- 47:03Speaker 1: felt like it was just like gigantic bird's nest on
- 47:06Speaker 1: her head. I couldn't. I was like, what if she's
- 47:10Speaker 1: another beautiful woman style? Um? The other thing is um
- 47:17Speaker 1: with um. The comments about Steve Harvey. Now, I love
- 47:21Speaker 1: you guys, but I usually don't get on, you know,
- 47:23Speaker 1: listen to the radio so after seven, but this morning
- 47:27Speaker 1: High fifty nine, I was like, let me miss Sor,
- 47:30Speaker 1: I'm tuned in because I want to hear what the

- 47:44Speaker 1: I want to just thank you guys for even letting
- 47:46Speaker 1: me talk on the radio. You guys are great. I'm
- 47:52Speaker 1: looking at the picture of Viola. It covered her face beautiful.
- 47:58Speaker 1: I don't mean the way the way I saw it,
- 48:00Speaker 1: it looks like she was coming to space, especially when
- 48:03Speaker 1: she was on stage. I can barely see her, see
- 48:05Speaker 1: her face. But I said, she's a beautiful woman. I
- 48:11Speaker 1: just see hair on her forehead. I don't know what

- 55:14Speaker 1: Go ahead, go ahead. I said that you're listening. I'm
- 55:17Speaker 1: listening to this for work hasAge. Well, just what I
- 55:20Speaker 1: want to tell you? What I mean? This is nephew
- 55:22Speaker 1: Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You just got
- 55:25Speaker 1: pranked by your brother Eric love that I can put
- 55:35Speaker 1: you up to this. Yeah, I'm so glad that's a
- 55:40Speaker 1: joke because somebody was about to die. I so you
- 55:46Speaker 1: all right? Man? Oh man, that's a good one. You
- 55:49Speaker 1: all right? I need a drink, man, man? Yeah, Man, Hey,
- 55:55Speaker 1: I got one more thing I gotta ask you, man,
- 55:57Speaker 1: what is the baddest radio show in the lane? And
- 56:00Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve
- 56:06Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show? All right? If you haven't heard. In
- 56:16Speaker 1: a stunning turn, Moonlight won the Best Picture Oscar after
- 56:22Speaker 1: La La Land was incorrectly named. The La La Land
- 56:25Speaker 1: team were in the process of giving thanks when it
- 56:27Speaker 1: was announced that the wrong film had been read and
- 56:29Speaker 1: that Moonlight was actually the real winner. Take a listen.
- 56:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry, there's a mistake. Moonlight. You guys won Best Picture?
- 56:42Speaker 1: All right? Then host, yeah, host Jimmy Kimmel came up
- 56:46Speaker 1: and tried to fix it. This is a very unfortunate
- 56:51Speaker 1: what happened. Personally, I blamed Steve Harvey for this. I
- 56:56Speaker 1: would like to see you get an oscar anyway. Why
- 56:58Speaker 1: can't we just give out a whole bunch of I'm
- 57:00Speaker 1: gonna be really proud to hand this to my friends
- 57:02Speaker 1: for Moonlight. Wow, Okay, okay, so that's kind of how
- 57:09Speaker 1: it went last night. Steve, you know a little bit
- 57:11Speaker 1: about this, and which I know more than anyone else
- 57:18Speaker 1: in this world about this. Ah. I'm the creator of
- 57:25Speaker 1: these moments. M hm, the epic curean of this. Let's
- 57:34Speaker 1: go to what the reactions is to this? You're ready?
- 57:40Speaker 1: Here we go. Oh mg, oh my god, oh my god.
- 57:49Speaker 1: How could he? This has never happened before. How could
- 57:58Speaker 1: this happen? Why is he hosting? Anyway? This can't ever happen.
- 58:10Speaker 1: I heard all this we said about you. You're talking
- 58:13Speaker 1: to Warn. Yeah, Now let me let me ask you
- 58:18Speaker 1: a question. Because Warren Baby made this mistake, does he
- 58:23Speaker 1: have to die? Should he lose his life with this
- 58:34Speaker 1: death threats? Y'all want to kill him? Oh huh, Well
- 58:41Speaker 1: he needs security because of this. Yeah, it was me
- 58:48Speaker 1: and Warren handled it great. Me and Warn. It's me
- 58:55Speaker 1: and Warren's thing right here. Yeah, we handled it great.
- 59:00Speaker 1: At least the producers of the Oscars on that show
- 59:05Speaker 1: walked out and stood with him. They looked irritated. Yeah,
- 59:12Speaker 1: they snatched the card, give me that Dawn, the hell
- 59:17Speaker 1: you get this card from? And they corrected the mistake
- 59:22Speaker 1: that night. Yes, at that moment, unlike my situation, or
- 59:31Speaker 1: nearly four minutes go by, nearly the woman standing out
- 59:36Speaker 1: there with the crown. But they gave speeches though, didn't
- 59:41Speaker 1: they at the Oscars the same thing is wearing the crown? Yeah,
- 59:48Speaker 1: had the oscar in their hand, didn't they the same
- 59:52Speaker 1: thing as wearing the crown? Yeah? Unlike the producers on
- 59:59Speaker 1: my show. Somebody handed him a card with wrong information.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: Jazz like that day, jazz like that. I remember it
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: like it happened yesterday. Handed me a card with three
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: names on it. In rehearsal, we've been doing two names
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: all we flown. Oh God, I get to the night.
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: They don't put a third name. They won't do first
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: run up. All of a SUDDENY ain't rehearsed it like that.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Put the winter name in the corner under my damn thumb.
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: You know why, because I got big hands. I don't
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: see the damn lady name. And the dude told me
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: in my ear what you say now the teleprompt that
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: don't match the card? I read the wrong that war
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: and I know your pain. I can help one baby
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: get through this how I'm gonna show him how to
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: handle it with dignity and grace. Thank God for producers
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: who stand strong with their talent. God for men and
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: women willing to go out there and put their job
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: on the last unlike waiting the next day, and handle
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: it in the press as was suggested in my ear. Alone,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: walk the walker shame down that runway. No flowers in
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: my hand, no crowd on my head, just a microphone
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: and a look of old hell No, Warren Baby had
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: the same old hellnall look on it. Yeah, yeah, he
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: actually left and me look like uh oh Vicky Vicky
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: Neil when they got off the bus and found Vicky.
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: But that's the same look me and Oscar, me and
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Warren head on that I can get warn through this.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: Call me Wan Baby, Me and Warren Baby gonna take
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: photos together. Yeah, but they got some memes of you
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: guys already. Oh boy. So in closing, I'd like to say,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: in the words of Mark Luther King free Lass free,
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: thank God, I'm mighty, I'm free and land you're listening,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: all right, it's the day after What did you say, nephew,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: It's the day after the Oscars, and we want to
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: know how you felt about it. Call us with your comments.
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: Tell us what your favorite movie is, what your favorite
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: movie is from the year of all time? We want
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: to hear at eight seven seven, Steve, give us a call.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: We're coming to you right after this, coming for a second.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: All right, let's go to the phone. What do you
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: think about the Oscars last night? What are your comments
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: in general? What's your favorite movie? All of that, Let's
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: go to line eight. Yeah, talk to Mark out of Ohio. Stee,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: if you're feeling pretty good this morning? I kind of fute, Yeah,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I don't he Mark, would you feel like? Okay, Mark, Steve?
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: This this is Mark on the line from Ohio. I
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: don't know. Oh Mark, Uh, what's your you know comment
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: on the Oscars last night? But it was it was cool.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: It was a pretty good show when uh, when they
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: messed up the yuh statement at the end and he said, oh, yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I blame Steve Harvey for this, I don't think. Yeah,
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I did bust out laughing, Yeah I did. But he's
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: a comedian though. Man. It wasn't really like I don't
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: think he was really like that because I didn't take
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: it that way at all. Because on the news though,
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: they had it said that, uh that Warren Batty got
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: the wrong envelope. But when you reading something like that,
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: who's gonna read the outside? I think pretty outside and
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: then open it up and read it. But yeah, he
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: was just a little throw it off a little bit.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: But yeah, I think I think he was. I think
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: he was. He was blinded by Holly Berry's nasty weeds.
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: Come on, come on, Mark, We're not going there, y'all.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Don't want to face up on this, y'all. You know,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: all I saw was pictures, and I didn't I think
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: that I was wrong. I just saw pictures. Beautiful. What
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: did I miss? I ain't nobody saying the same beautiful.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: I just liked the short hair. I like it. When
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: she rocked the short hair cut, she pretty as all
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: get out. That's one more time. What was wrong with
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: her hair? And somebody answered me it was just too
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: big for me, though I think it is, Steve. You're
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: you get so used to people looking a certain way,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: and it was a huge change. That's all people were thrown,
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: you know, by the fact that changed. I liked it.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I thought she looked absolutely amazingly beautiful as always. She
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: can do no wrong from my really, Yeah, that's how
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: I feel that. Ain't ain't I love it anything else.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: Let's go to commercial talking about you're listening to the
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: Steven Show. Alright, We're going back to the phone eight
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve,
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: tell us what you think about the Oscars, your opinion,
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: and what's your favorite movie? All of that, all right,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: We're going to the phones about Oscar night last night,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: let's go to line one and talk to Ernestine. Steve
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: Ernest Dein out of New Jersey. Now that's the name
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: for you, right there is Good morning Steve, Good morning everybody. Yes,
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: my name is Ernestine, and I was named after my
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: father and his name was Ernest. And I'm but anyway,
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: but anyway, Steve, I really feel that Jimmy Kimble gave
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: them the wrong envelope. He did it purposely for a joke,
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: and so we could have ending that everybody talked about.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I really believe that he had never admitted, but I
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: believe it. That's that's something I wanted to say. I
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: believe that maybe that's a theory. Und I don't think
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: that Jimmy Kimmel. I can't even touch the envelopes. Okay,
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: I don't, thank you. Okay, we're just gonna go with
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: that right on. Thank you, Ernestine. Let's go to line
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: for and talk to Eric, also out of New Jersey. Eric. Yes,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: I'm right here. Ain't nothing, man. What's your comment on Oscar? Yeah?
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I got I got two comments. The first comment is
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: in reference to the to the to the oscars, Denzel
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Washington have enough room on his mantel okay for one
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: to three fold and five. He's a genius and he
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: will surpass. He will come back to the table, no
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: problem at all. The second comment I have is, uh,
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: let's president. When is he going to handle his taxes?
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: And that's all I got to say, Steve, thank you. Well, Hey,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: can I say this to you? He's not ever gonna
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: show his taxes. He really ain't got to now he
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: the president. Yeah, you know if you didn't show it
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: when you was running, now that you got the highest
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: office in land, I just don't see him showing the taxes.
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: And to be honest with you, I don't care because
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: the bigger deal is the policies that this administration just
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: putting down. That's where you've got to just prepare yourself
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: for how to how to deal with all of that
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: and how it affects you. You know, all of a sudden,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: who visited the president cannot be that important anymore. I
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: think our focus has to be on how are we
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: dealing with the policies that are coming down into play?
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: How does the travel band affect us? How will the
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: wall affect us? How will taxes affect you? How will
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: you know immigration laws affect you? I think that's where
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: we are. I don't care what his taxes got on it.
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: I wish I knew his tax accountant. You got a
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: number who's Trump's? Tell me? You know what, man, You're
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: gonna get slapped Act like you ain't gonna get slapped back.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: My slap gonna be different. Slap gonna have down with thrust,
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: don't it. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: All right, we have a lot to cover this morning.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Still coming up. We're gonna talk about Gary and Vicky,
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: the tourists from Chicago who got the shock of their lives.
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: We'll tell you about that when they went to the
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: Oscars last night. We're also going to tell you about
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: the number one movie in America get ready for this,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: and some sad news. Uh, one of Hollywood's great actors
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: passed away, Bill Paxton. We'll talk about that as well
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: when we come back. Yeah, all right, exciting night in
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Hollywood last night for the Academy Awards ceremony. Yes, Steve, yes, Okay.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: One of the highlights of last night's Oscars, who's when
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: a Hollywood tour bus dropped off its riders. Well, that
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: was just one of them. There were many. There were many.
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: They dropped off a tour bus of writers right inside
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: of and the tour tourists walked into the Oscar ceremony,
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: which was a great shock and surprise to them. I mean,
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: here's Jimmy Kimmel introducing some of the tourists. Name is Gary,
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: Gary from Chicago. Where are you from from Chicago? Yeah?
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: You know we're on TV, so you don't need to
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: do that. I want you. Let me give you a
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: little tour. This is Nicole Kidman fun fact. He was
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: discovered in Redondo Beach at a quiz nose. This is
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: Ryan Gosling. He's very handsome. Don't look into his eyes.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: That was Gary that Jimmy was taking. Did this happen
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: on stage or behind stage? It happened right more right
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: in front of the audience on the floor, right in
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: front of the stage. Really, yes, yes, they were facing
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: the audience. It was amazing. Uh. That was Gary from Chicago,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: one of the tourists. He had his fiance there, who
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: had this to say when Jimmy asked her, Gary, is
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: this your wife over here? What's your name? Vicky minds? Vicky?
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: Are you here with Gary? Oh? Really? When are you
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: getting married. Who's your favorite actor? That man right there, Denzel? Denzel,
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: would you be the best man at their wedding? Come on, yeah,
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: that's a good idea. I now pronounce you husband and wife.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: Mr Brian Major. Gary and Vicky are famous the tourists,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: they are famous now. They were trending. Uh last night.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: It was just such a an unexpected thrill for them
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: to be there. They had their cell phones, they were
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: taking selfies with Denzel and all the stars. I mean,
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: they couldn't believe it because Jimmy Kimmel got them there
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: under false pretenses, telling them that they were going to
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: see something else, and sure enough they walked in live
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: at the Oscars. Can you imagine? Can you imagine? Yes?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: So congratulations to Gary and Vicky from Chicago. We should
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: get them on the show if we can. Uh. Speaking
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: of movies, we have to say congratulations to our our friend.
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: We love him, Jordan Peel from Key and Peel. He
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: wrote and directed a movie called get Out. Get Out
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: came in number one over the weekend, making thirty point
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: five million dollars. Yes, uh, we had a chance to
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: talk to to Jordan's last week. This is some some
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: of his interview. Please welcome to the show. One for

- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Jordan Peel. This this is a different turn from me here.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I just I love I love horror movies because that's
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: where it's it's it's a communal experience, you know, going
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: to see a horror movie. And just uh, I wanted
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: to make a movie for for everybody that's ever ever
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: yelled at the TV movie. This movie is about, you know,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: representation in all ways. It's like a black man is
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: the lead of a horror movie. You know, we pulled
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: it off. Man, I had a good team around me.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: Get up the movie theaters everywhere. Let's go you. Congratulations
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Jordan Peel thirty point five million dollars. That's a major.

- 1:15:17Speaker 1: sixty one. He died on Saturday. Uh. He died due
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: to complications that he incurred from surgery. Um, so our
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: condolences go out to his family. Yeah. He leaves behind
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: a wife of thirty years and their two children. You know,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: Hollywood was morning and in shock. Yeah about that great boy. Yeah,
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: weird science yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah Tombstone, Yeah he does,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: he really does. Again, he was sixty one. Yeah. They
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: don't say what kind of surgery he was having or anything.

- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Here's Warren explaining himself. I wanted to tell you what happened.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: I opened the envelope and it said Emma Stone, La
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: La Land. That's why I took such a long look
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: at Faye and at you. I wasn't trying to be funny.
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: Well you were funny. Thank you very much, Thank you
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: very much. Wow, this is this is Moonlight the that's picture. Yeah,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: what happened? Yeah, what happened was Warren Baby and Faye
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: don Away introduced or they announced the wrong movie. They
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: said La La Land, but it was actually Moonlight. And
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: then Jimmy Kimmel said he blamed Steve Harvey for that moment.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: I ain't got no problem with that. Hello, We're gonna

- 1:21:39Speaker 1: your opinion doling of the Oscars last night? Well, good
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: morning Mr Harvey and all. At the Steve Harpay Morning
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: Show last night. I want to raise the point. I
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: want to give my glass up to my girls, to j. A. P.
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: Hanson and how he handle that moment where she and
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: those beautiful black queens Octavia, Spencer and and Almond they
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: were had a moment where they were just you know,
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: giving giving props to a moment in black history was
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: hidden figures. And then they had to present to a
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: guy who was given a movie about O. J. Simpson
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: and he did the movie for ron and Ronn and
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the Colts. So it was just, um, an awkward moment
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: for me. But you know she she was like, okay, brother,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: here's your award, but no hugs here. So I just
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: want to raise my having her business. Yeah I didn't.
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: I didn't. I don't know anything about that moment. Was
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: she was she given the award or anything that category
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and she told the guy congratulations. I didn't. I didn't
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: get shade from that at all at all. I didn't
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: get that part why you felt awkward. Yeah, I did.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: I didn't pick up a little bit of say he
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: reached out to Hugger and she was like, no, brother,
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: here's your award. So I just felt like, you know,
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: she just did her things. So so, so what was
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: the category? Can I ask it? Georgian America? Was the movie? Yeah,
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I don't have the best documentary or best It was
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: documentary documentaries, documentary feature feature o J Made in America. Okay,
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: So I mean, but was Taraji in that category? No? No,
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: the Taragi's movie was nominated for Best Picture. Put it
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: together for me in the audience. Well, yeah, okay, let's
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: just move on trying to Yogi p Henson and the
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: other actresses from Hidden Figures were presenters, and they presented
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: that particular category. That's and that was yes and and
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: the brother one. Okay, thank you. Um let's go to
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: let's go to line five between FIEFI and this. Okay
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: five Perchell Perchell out of Maryland. He good morning morning,
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: sell is it proche Prochell? Yeah? Hey, Prochell. What's your
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: comment on Oscar Dog? Oh? Um? I thought justin Timberlake
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: came out really strong in the beginning, because because you know,
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: it's usually kind of boring, so that really pumped me up.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: I was getting ready and I was really happy for
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: my Herschela Ali. He's such a good actor and he
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: did very well. Now, Harley Berry, Charlie, you know her
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: hair was off the chain. I don't know what about
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: that wig, but it wasn't It wasn't doing me any
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: just that she's a beautiful lady, chad on a beautiful dress,
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: but her hair. I didn't like that wig and it
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: was I think you think it was a week Yeah,
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I think I don't know what a wig weave. It
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: was just her hair for the night. I don't know
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: what to wear her hair last night, but no people
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: style her. I'd been suffice to the ship. Well, well
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: maybe that's what she's like, Okay, that's yeah, yeah what
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: it is? Yeah, but I don't we don't know. I
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: don't know. We don't know. It was her about her
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: hair for the night. I don't think. I hope it
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: was feeling. Look, I've dated in either one. You ain't
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: kicking out of nothing. Now you're gonna do that, you know?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: So fellas what I'm slone this Tommy, we'll be don't
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: giving this with Junior. Junior is sleek. You're listening to
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Wow, what a morning? What a morning?
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: Just what you? Uh? Facebook Live and YouTube has given individuals. Now,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: this is only applies to some people. This only applies
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: to some people, mostly haters. I'm talking to. Facebook Live
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: and YouTube has given haters their own television show. They
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: are now, in their own mind famous because they can
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: put something out in television and video form like they relevant. Okay,
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: that's pretty amazing, man, that is amazing. Do you know Jr?
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: Was that you could have a TV show today? Man,
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: I gotta go to the network. Uh it's called YouTube
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: and Facebook Live. Mh yeah, Well more of your phone calls. Laugh.
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: Now friends calls me and Timmy got shows. I would
- 1:27:17Speaker 1: just throw it a dollar for you. Yeah, you got
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: stay tuned your phone calls after this. Okay, here we
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: go conspiracy theories. Let's go line five. Cecilia out of Pennsylvania. Hi,
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: Mr Harvey and Prue. I have to tell you that
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: it was a conspiracy. It was a set up because
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: all the African Americans that was nominated and won this year.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: Last year, nobody was nominated and nobody wants this year
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: it was an abundance of nominees, and it was the
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: abundance of winners. We would have been talking about it
- 1:28:01Speaker 1: this morning, However, they set that last category up so
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: that we would talk about back instead of what really happened.
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: Nobody is going to be nominated next year or win
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: next year because this was the abundance of people who
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: won this year. Do you understand? So this was a
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: black year? Yeah, it was clearly a year right there,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: Wine he should have won. But what I'm saying is
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: it was a deflection that category for Best Pictures. They
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: set that up so that people wouldn't be talking about
- 1:28:41Speaker 1: how many African Americans really won and how many was
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: really nominated as opposed to last year. So what we're
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: talking about is the category of Best Picture and how
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: it was a big flute like what Steve Harvey did
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: with the This Universe Pasture had the damn theory as
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: My final count is I love halle Berry's weak because
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I have the same one. Yeah, there you go. Well,
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: then I'm saying you look crazy too. He mad at
- 1:29:19Speaker 1: too because you bought him. I thought, I thought, I
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: ain't seen nothing wrong with Halley Hair myself, I really didn't,
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: And I appreciate you buying the same weird because it
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: just shows that like minds think alike. And so I
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: just want to know what do miss universe everything black
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: people winning these Oscars and throwing shade on it, so
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: they had one bay to do the wrong thing, so
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: it can not talk about how many blacks one You
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: really think that that's when it happened. I said, Steve Harvey,
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: where are you the same thing that happened? What was
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: you looking for? Who? Who snatched that envelope out of
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: warren babies hand? He needs to apologize because Warren Baby
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: is a Hollywood legend. It totally doesn't expect that Warren
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: Baby when he snacked that envelopes like that, well, it
- 1:30:17Speaker 1: was a human moment. I wish somebody had a snatch
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: where you're listening to the Steven Show. All right, we've
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: been taking your phone calls all morning about the Oscars,
- 1:30:36Speaker 1: last Night's your opinion, your favorite movies, all of that.
- 1:30:39Speaker 1: What do you think even if you have a conspiracy theory,
- 1:30:42Speaker 1: we want to hear it. Yeah, the fixes in and
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: try if you can to keep me on eight seven seven,
- 1:30:54Speaker 1: call us God for last night couldn't have done it
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: by myself. I took the Lord no one else on
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: to get me off the hook. Oh thank you. W
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: We're gonna replace Mr Baby for coming through. Handle him, hater,
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: call me. I'll get you through because one thing about it.
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: I know exactly what to do. It's gonna last one
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: year lone until the next year's oscars. Next time he
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: come on, You're gonna be the one that made the
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: last call. You ain't gonna understand it. You're gonna want
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: to be done with it all. They're gonna rock you.
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: They ain't gonna suck you. You wanna turn around tell them?
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, this took a turn. Yeah yeah, I
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: call that the one batty blue. I just wrote that
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: just now for one batty hanging out bait. It's gonna
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: be all right man, me and you do dog Steve,
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: you actually and you're gonna flip at eight o'clock Eastern
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: time this morning, and if you missed it, we're gonna
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: replay that on our last break at eastern when we
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: get ready. I know exactly what to say. I thought
- 1:32:45Speaker 1: of some most stuff. Okay, I might do a refreshing state. Okay,
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: all right, in the meantime, let's go to the phone
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: see what the people thought about last night. Let's go
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: to line to talk to Renee out of Florida. Hi,
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey crew, Hello Harvey. How are you? We love
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: you here in Tampa. And I like to say, the
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: best thing I liked about the awards last night was
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: the black couples that were representing out of Chicago. And um. Also,
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: the gowns were nice and this Washington's wife had on
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: a beautiful gown. Um. And I'm gonna say what everybody
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: is thinking. Halle Berry's wig was a little outside it
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: But I think it was because there was a little
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: rain yesterday and Wendy and her stylist should have, you know,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: patted it down a little bit. But I think that's
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: what it was. I wasn't watching the live show, so
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I don't know. No, I mean that's how it was.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: That was her hair. That was the pictures like it
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: was haul on one side and the side. I think
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: that was definitely on purpose. Yeah, she just had big
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: hair last night, big curly here it was Angela. All right,
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: when we come back, Steve's gonna do a speech. It's rebuttal,
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: It's thing already. He's so happy that we have one
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: more breaking, one more break, just the last break. Yes, sir,
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: I'm on the West coast man, I'm hurting. We'll be
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: back at So it's war. You're listening, all right? You
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: know I might have my own people give me out
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: of my time showing go out there no time share
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: exit team dot Com. Oh I forgot, it's not a
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: time ship. My bad. What is it that? Sorry? Yeah, yes,
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: we're going to We're gonna replay your statement from earlier today.
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: I just got to go and start going out to
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: unless I sell it. Your response to the Oscar flub
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: last night. Yeah, so the EXTRA and E and everybody
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: that won't it, here it is again. Uh we we
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: just you know, we got national show. Everybody on E
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: and EXTRA, my friends over there. They're good people. Uh,
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you don't do fake news. Um. I ain't got no
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: enemies in the media except for and I won't say
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: their names. Other than that, I'm okay with it. So
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: listen up. Is it after the song? Surely? Yeah, let's
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: do it after the song. Here's my statement again, and
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: I will be adding to it, and I may play
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: the new song that I wrote called the Warren bade
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: Blue Blue. I just improved that. I didn't really write
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: it just by if you haven't heard, in a stunning turn,
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: Moonlight one the Best Picture Oscar after La La Land
- 1:36:13Speaker 1: was incorrectly named. The La La Land team were in
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: the process of giving thanks when it was announced that
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: the wrong film had been read and that Moonlight was
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: actually the real winner. Take a little, I'm sorry, there's
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: a mistake. Moonlight. You guys won Best Picture? All right?
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: Then host yeah, host Jimmy Kimmel came up and tried
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: to fix it. He's very unfortunate what happened. Personally, I
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: blamed Steve Harvey for this. I would like to see
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: you get an oscar anyway. Why can't we just give
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: out a whole bunch of them. I'm gonna be really
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: proud to hand this to my friends from Moonlight. That's okay, Okay,
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: So that's kind of how it went last night. Steve,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: you know a little bit about this, and which I
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: know more than anyone else in this world about this.
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: Ah am the creator of these moments, HM, the epic
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: curean of this. Let's go to what the reactions is
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: to this? You're ready? Here, We go oh mg, oh
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: my god, oh my god. How could he? This has
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: never happened before. How could this happen? Why is he hosting? Anyway?
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: This can't ever happen. I heard all this. Now let
- 1:37:57Speaker 1: me let me ask you a question. Because Warren Baby
- 1:38:01Speaker 1: made this mistake, does he have to die? Should he
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: lose his life for this? Threats? Y'all want to kill him? Oh? Well,
- 1:38:21Speaker 1: he needs security because of this. Me and Warren handled
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: it great. Me and warn it's me and warns thing
- 1:38:36Speaker 1: right here. Yeah, we handled it great. At least the
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: producers of the Oscars on that show walked out and
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: stood with him. They looked irritated. Oh yeah, they snatched
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: the card, give me that the hell you get this card?
- 1:39:00Speaker 1: And they corrected the mistake that night. Yes, at that moment,
- 1:39:06Speaker 1: unlike my situation or nearly four minutes go by the
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: woman standing out there with your crown. But they gave
- 1:39:20Speaker 1: speeches though, didn't they at the Oscars? The same thing
- 1:39:25Speaker 1: is wearing the crown, Yeah, had the oscar in their hand,
- 1:39:29Speaker 1: didn't they? The same thing is wearing the crown. Yeah,
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: unlike the producers on my show. Somebody handed him a
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: card with wrong information. Jazz like that day, jazz like that.
- 1:39:48Speaker 1: I remember it like it happened yesterday. Handed me a
- 1:39:53Speaker 1: card with three names on it. In rehearsal, we've been
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: doing two names all we flung. Oh God, I get
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: to the night. They don't put a third name. They
- 1:40:02Speaker 1: won't do first one up all of a sudden, they
- 1:40:04Speaker 1: ain't rehearsed it like that. Put the winter name in
- 1:40:06Speaker 1: the corner under my damn thumb. You know why, because
- 1:40:10Speaker 1: I got big hands. I don't see the damn lady name.
- 1:40:15Speaker 1: And the dude told me in my ear what you
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: say now the teleprompt that don't match the car I
- 1:40:21Speaker 1: read the wrong that war, and I know you'll pay.
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: I can help one baby get through this how I'm
- 1:40:32Speaker 1: gonna show him how to handle it with dignity and grace.
- 1:40:38Speaker 1: Thank God for producers who stand strong with their talent,
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: for men and women willing to go out there and
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: put their job on the list, unlike waiting the next day,
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: and handle it in the press as we's suggested. In
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: my ear, alone, walk the walk of shame down that runway,
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: no flowers in my hand, no crowd on my head,
- 1:41:16Speaker 1: just a microphone and a look of old hell No,
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: Ward Baby had the same old hell no look. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: he looked crazy. He actually left faith down away. Read
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: the read the winner. Ward Baby and Me look like
- 1:41:37Speaker 1: uh uh Vicky Vicky Neil when they got off the
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: bus and found that's the same look being Oscar, me
- 1:41:50Speaker 1: and Warred had on that I can get one through this,
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: call me one baby, Me and warn Bady gonna take
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: photos together. Yeah, well they got some memes of you
- 1:42:06Speaker 1: guys already. Oh boy. So in closing, I'd like to say,
- 1:42:13Speaker 1: in the words of Mark Luther King free and last,
- 1:42:21Speaker 1: thank God, I'm mighty, I'm free and l statement just
- 1:42:30Speaker 1: spend you know, quite an endeavor getting through this thing.
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: I just want to say the one um I'm gonna
- 1:42:37Speaker 1: be sending you something soon really just a thank you,
- 1:42:41Speaker 1: a gesture of my appreciation for you all. Just showing
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: everybody that it can happen and when it does happen,
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: how to handle it. Oh, coming up tomorrow, I'm gonna
- 1:42:54Speaker 1: play back the impromptu one Baby Blues song that which
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: is good. Thank you so much to the Oscars last night,
- 1:43:06Speaker 1: y'all got something else to talk about. Other didn't meet.
