- 0:01Speaker 1: And I've been saying that for twenty years. Very simply,
- 0:04Speaker 1: Iran cannot have a new clear weapon. I can't say
- 0:07Speaker 1: that right. You don't seriously think I'm going to answer
- 0:09Speaker 1: that question that means I've had it.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Okay, I've had it.
- 0:12Speaker 1: I give up no more. Who're not looking for a ceasefire,
- 0:15Speaker 1: We're looking for a total, complete victory.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Seventy nine percent of adults agree on that they agree
- 0:20Speaker 2: with Donald Trump Ron can not get a nuclear weapon.
- 0:22Speaker 3: You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.
- 0:26Speaker 4: Good Thursday morning. So nice to have you with us
- 0:29Speaker 4: on the forty seven Morning Update, and we have a
- 0:31Speaker 4: lot to talk about this morning, including the latest rhetoric
- 0:34Speaker 4: from the President United States of America about a real
- 0:37Speaker 4: possibility that the US may get involved in airstrikes on
- 0:40Speaker 4: Iran nuclear facilities. We'll have Donald Trump's words for you
- 0:44Speaker 4: on that in a moment. We're also going to talk
- 0:46Speaker 4: about Democrats who are now siding with the President as
- 0:49Speaker 4: well and what they are saying. And finally, there's a
- 0:52Speaker 4: big myth that there's a big divide within the conservative
- 0:56Speaker 4: movement over what to do with Iran. New polling numbers
- 0:59Speaker 4: also show that is a lie. In fact, the majority
- 1:03Speaker 4: of conservatives stand overwhelmingly with Donald Trump. It's the forty
- 1:08Speaker 4: seven Morning Update and it starts right.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Now, story number one.
- 1:12Speaker 4: We're getting new breaking news and this is moving very
- 1:15Speaker 4: quickly with what's happening between Iran, Israel, and now the
- 1:18Speaker 4: United States of America. With a new statement that has
- 1:21Speaker 4: just come out from Donald Trump saying, quote, we don't
- 1:24Speaker 4: want a long term war with Iran. President Donald Trump
- 1:28Speaker 4: making it clear that the administration is not looking for
- 1:31Speaker 4: long term war. In a second statement, Trump addressing concerns
- 1:35Speaker 4: among members of the Make America Gritagan base that the
- 1:38Speaker 4: United States would be pulled into a quote long term
- 1:41Speaker 4: war while filling a question from the media, Take a
- 1:45Speaker 4: listen to his own words outside of the White House.
- 1:48Speaker 5: Some of the people in the base don't want a long
- 1:50Speaker 5: term war. They're afraid that we're going to get into
- 1:52Speaker 5: a long term We're looking for a long term We're looking
- 1:54Speaker 5: to Earth. It's only I only want one thing. Iran
- 1:57Speaker 5: cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 1:58Speaker 1: That's it. I'm not looking long term for him. And
- 2:00Speaker 1: I've been saying that for twenty years. I've been saying
- 2:02Speaker 1: that this is a civilian who got a lot of publicity.
- 2:05Speaker 1: People would cover it very simply. Iran cannot have a
- 2:08Speaker 1: nuclear weapons. It's not a question of anything else. And
- 2:12Speaker 1: if you did, you wouldn't have much of a country
- 2:14Speaker 1: because they would use it on us, and would use
- 2:16Speaker 1: it on other people.
- 2:17Speaker 4: And they'd be a terror all over the world. We're
- 2:19Speaker 4: not looking for long term more. I only want one thing.
- 2:22Speaker 4: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon. That is it. Very simply,
- 2:27Speaker 4: he said in another interview, Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
- 2:30Speaker 4: It's not a question of anything else. And if you did,
- 2:33Speaker 4: you wouldn't have much of a country because they would
- 2:36Speaker 4: use it on us and use it on other people,
- 2:38Speaker 4: and they'd be a tear all over the world. Trump
- 2:41Speaker 4: notally tweeted back in twenty eleven, before he even enter
- 2:44Speaker 4: the political world, that quote, I Ran cannot have a
- 2:47Speaker 4: nuclear weapon and has been firm in it stands throughout
- 2:50Speaker 4: his political career and his presidential campaign in twenty twenty four.
- 2:54Speaker 4: If you go back to the doctrine of Donald Trump,
- 2:57Speaker 4: look at November fourth, two thousand eleven, his exact tweet.
- 3:01Speaker 4: Iran's quest for nuclear weapons is a major threat to
- 3:04Speaker 4: our nation's national security interests. We cannot allow Ran to
- 3:08Speaker 4: go nuclear. That was before he was running for any office.
- 3:12Speaker 4: In fact, that's actually when he was a Democrat. Trump
- 3:15Speaker 4: notably gave Iran a sixty day deadline that expired on Thursday,
- 3:19Speaker 4: June twelfth to make a deal to end its nuclear program,
- 3:22Speaker 4: and then on Friday, Israel began striking Iranian nuclear sites,
- 3:26Speaker 4: military leaders, and refineries. Trump declared Tuesday, quote, we have
- 3:31Speaker 4: complete and total control of the skies of Iran and
- 3:34Speaker 4: revealed his team new the exact location of the leader
- 3:38Speaker 4: of Iran. When asked Wednesday if the US was moving
- 3:41Speaker 4: closer to striking Iranian nuclear sites, here is what Trump
- 3:45Speaker 4: said about that, about.
- 3:46Speaker 6: Whether you are moving closer? You believe the US is
- 3:49Speaker 6: moving closer to striking Iranian nuclear facilities?
- 3:52Speaker 5: Where's your mindset on that?
- 3:53Speaker 1: I can't say that, right. You don't seriously think I'm
- 3:56Speaker 1: going to answer that. Quay, will you strike the Iranian
- 3:58Speaker 1: nuclear component? And what time exactly?
- 4:01Speaker 4: Sir sir?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Would you strike it? Would you please inform us so
- 4:04Speaker 1: we can be there and watch. I mean, you don't
- 4:06Speaker 1: know that I'm going to even do it. You don't know.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I may do it, I may not do it. I mean,
- 4:09Speaker 1: nobody knows what I'm going to do. I can tell
- 4:11Speaker 1: you this that Aram's got a lot of trouble and
- 4:14Speaker 1: they want to negotiate. And I said, what didn't you
- 4:16Speaker 1: negotiate with me before all this death and destruction? Why
- 4:20Speaker 1: int you nego? I said the people, why didn't you
- 4:22Speaker 1: negotiate with me two weeks ago? You could have done fine.
- 4:25Speaker 1: You would have had a country. It's very sad to
- 4:28Speaker 1: watch this. I mean, I've never said anything like it,
- 4:31Speaker 1: so you neveryone thought it was going to be the reverse.
- 4:33Speaker 1: I didn't think so. And they're telling him you got
- 4:36Speaker 1: to you got to do something, You got to negotiate.
- 4:38Speaker 1: And at the end, last minute, they said, no, we're
- 4:40Speaker 1: not going to do that, and they got hit. Remember
- 4:42Speaker 1: sixty days, And then came the sixty sixty one is
- 4:45Speaker 1: going to become a very famous number. That was one
- 4:47Speaker 1: hell of a hit, that first hit. That was one
- 4:50Speaker 1: hell of a hit. Not sustainable, to be honest. That's
- 4:52Speaker 1: where it ended. It ended on the first night. Yes,
- 4:55Speaker 1: too late, though.
- 4:56Speaker 2: Do you think it's too late to now?
- 4:57Speaker 1: Really, nothing's too late.
- 4:59Speaker 4: President Trump making it clear this is something that is
- 5:02Speaker 4: on the table which brings us to the latest breaking
- 5:05Speaker 4: news and what is being reported just a moment ago
- 5:07Speaker 4: on Fox News Channel that Donald Trump has in fact
- 5:10Speaker 4: approved attack plans against Iran.
- 5:14Speaker 7: Fox Who's alert the Iatola has gone into hiding. He's
- 5:16Speaker 7: believed to be holed up inside an underground bunker northeast
- 5:20Speaker 7: of the Capitol. This is a different kind of Iranian
- 5:22Speaker 7: hostage crisis. Komane can hide, but he can't run. For
- 5:25Speaker 7: the past twenty four hours, Israel's been attacking the area
- 5:28Speaker 7: around his underground layer, but Kamane still talking tough. Says
- 5:32Speaker 7: Iran will not surrender to anyone, and is warning that
- 5:36Speaker 7: if America joins the fight and strikes, it'll result in
- 5:39Speaker 7: irreparable damage to the United States. Is he bluffing, We
- 5:42Speaker 7: don't know. Iranian proxies, which have been severely degraded, are
- 5:46Speaker 7: threatening to commit acts of terror against American troops and
- 5:49Speaker 7: American ships in the region, and American businesses are now
- 5:52Speaker 7: bracing for cyber attacks. Trump says, good luck with that.
- 5:55Speaker 7: We won't be bullied.
- 5:56Speaker 5: I was the hunted and now I'm the hunter. It's
- 6:00Speaker 5: a big difference.
- 6:01Speaker 6: That means I've had it.
- 6:02Speaker 2: Okay, I've had it.
- 6:03Speaker 1: I give up no more, then we go blow up
- 6:07Speaker 1: all and you know, all the nuclear stuff that's all
- 6:09Speaker 1: over the place. Then now they had bad intentions, you
- 6:13Speaker 1: know the for forty years they've been saying death to American,
- 6:16Speaker 1: death to Israel, and death to anybody else that they
- 6:18Speaker 1: didn't like. They were bullies. They were schoolyard bullies. And
- 6:25Speaker 1: now they're not bullies anymore.
- 6:27Speaker 7: Trump's been meeting in the situation room with his National
- 6:29Speaker 7: Security team Head of Central Command, Army General Eric Carilla,
- 6:33Speaker 7: they call them the Gorilla has been instrumental in the
- 6:35Speaker 7: war planning the Pentagons, sending in their new state of
- 6:38Speaker 7: the art supercarrier, the USS Gerald Ford, and amassing a
- 6:42Speaker 7: tremendous amount of assets in the area. Today, Trump had
- 6:46Speaker 7: lunch with Pakistan's army chief. Pakistan borders Iran. Seems like
- 6:50Speaker 7: something's about to happen. And this is just breaking. The
- 6:52Speaker 7: Wall Street journal is reporting Trump privately approved attack plans
- 6:56Speaker 7: against Iran. Now we don't know what these plans entail,
- 6:59Speaker 7: but we're told they include US air strikes. Unsure if
- 7:02Speaker 7: that includes bunker Busters. Remember, the latest version of the
- 7:05Speaker 7: bunker Buster has never been used on the battlefield. It's
- 7:09Speaker 7: only been tested Axios reports that Trump has been quizzing
- 7:12Speaker 7: as generals. Are they sure if he uses them they'll
- 7:15Speaker 7: be one hundred percent effective? The generals say yes, but
- 7:18Speaker 7: Trump's not completely convinced. Caroline Levitt says all options remain
- 7:22Speaker 7: on the table. Trump's been waiting on giving the final order,
- 7:25Speaker 7: seeing if the Iranians give up and surrender their new
- 7:28Speaker 7: program peacefully. Sources in DC say Trump's out of patience
- 7:32Speaker 7: and Iran's up against the clock.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I believe that unlesser On surrenders in the next forty
- 7:36Speaker 3: eight hours, the United States, in conjunction with Israel, will
- 7:39Speaker 3: engage in military action.
- 7:40Speaker 7: Trump says the Iranians want to fly all the way
- 7:43Speaker 7: to the White House to negotiate an end to this,
- 7:45Speaker 7: but he says it's too late. He doesn't appear to
- 7:47Speaker 7: be open to long drawn out negotiations where he gets
- 7:50Speaker 7: strung along like last time.
- 7:52Speaker 1: We're not looking for a ceasefire. We're looking for a total,
- 7:55Speaker 1: complete victory.
- 7:57Speaker 2: Again.
- 7:57Speaker 1: You know what the victory is no nuclear weapon.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Trump's made a decision. Iran's nuclear program is gone. The
- 8:05Speaker 7: person who ultimately decides that is the Isatola. He can
- 8:08Speaker 7: either let us do it peacefully or we'll do it violently.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But either way, the.
- 8:12Speaker 7: Outcome of this war is this, the Iranians will never
- 8:14Speaker 7: be able to acquire a nuclear weapon.
- 8:16Speaker 4: Now, the second part of this story is this, will
- 8:19Speaker 4: the supreme leader of Iran come to the negotiating table
- 8:23Speaker 4: and actually stop the nuclear program. They may be wanting
- 8:27Speaker 4: to send people to the White House, but here's what
- 8:29Speaker 4: the actual Iatoa says. He has a stark warning directed
- 8:33Speaker 4: both at the US and Israel. In fact, he declared
- 8:36Speaker 4: today the battle begins, stating there would be quote no
- 8:40Speaker 4: mercy for the terrorist Zionis regime of Israel. He also
- 8:44Speaker 4: criticized the US President trump calls for Iran's unconincial surrender,
- 8:49Speaker 4: asserting that Iran will never quote unquote surrender and that
- 8:52Speaker 4: any US military action would cause irreparable damage. Iran's you
- 8:57Speaker 4: An ambassador echoed that any direct US involvement alongside Israel
- 9:02Speaker 4: would trigger their own firm response. Iradian Foreign Ministry spokesman
- 9:07Speaker 4: went further, warning the US intervention could spark an all
- 9:10Speaker 4: out war across the entire region. Now, let me say
- 9:15Speaker 4: one other thing that's very interesting about all this is
- 9:17Speaker 4: what's happening within the Democratic Party. Many Democrats are staying
- 9:22Speaker 4: silent on this, but some are willing to stand up
- 9:25Speaker 4: and stand on the issue, actually backing Donald Trump and
- 9:28Speaker 4: saying we need to go even further. Insert Democratic Senator
- 9:32Speaker 4: John Fetterman. Here's what he had to say on Fox
- 9:35Speaker 4: News Channel with Bill Hemmer.
- 9:37Speaker 7: Say, show no mercy and if you have to take
- 9:39Speaker 7: the supreme leader out, do it?
- 9:41Speaker 1: Explain your position now.
- 9:42Speaker 6: Sir, Yeah, yeah, I think they should have targeted him,
- 9:46Speaker 6: absolutely gone taking them out. I think the way Israel operates,
- 9:50Speaker 6: they just take out the leadership, just like they did
- 9:53Speaker 6: with Hesbola, and they've already done that with the Iranian leadership,
- 9:57Speaker 6: just took them out even laying in their beds, and
- 9:59Speaker 6: they didn't take down the whole building. They actually targeted
- 10:01Speaker 6: where they lay in bed. And now they eliminated the
- 10:05Speaker 6: military ones and the nuclear ones. That's magnificent and the
- 10:09Speaker 6: precision which they've done that. And I don't know why
- 10:11Speaker 6: they would have left the leader out.
- 10:14Speaker 7: What comes after that if that reality were to take place?
- 10:17Speaker 6: Senator Well, I think the reality is is that that
- 10:20Speaker 6: you have a nation that just is in a position
- 10:23Speaker 6: where they have to be held accountable for what they've done.
- 10:25Speaker 6: They are the ones that built and created the proxies
- 10:28Speaker 6: like Hamas and Hezbollah and put our whole region in
- 10:32Speaker 6: this kind of chaos, And now they clearly have nuclear ambitions,
- 10:36Speaker 6: and now I think it's entirely I'm not sure if
- 10:38Speaker 6: I might have been the only one constantly calling them
- 10:41Speaker 6: to just take this facility out and to use the
- 10:44Speaker 6: B two and those gigantic bunker buster ones and partner
- 10:49Speaker 6: up with Israel what they've.
- 10:50Speaker 4: Done, Fetterman saying, I call on Israel to eliminate the
- 10:54Speaker 4: Supreme leader without mercy. So that brings us to the
- 10:58Speaker 4: latest point where we are now. Is there a very
- 11:00Speaker 4: good chance that Donald Trump could in fact order that
- 11:03Speaker 4: we attack Iran's nuclear sites with those bunker busting bombs.
- 11:07Speaker 4: The answer is yes. Would there be bipartisan support, clearly?
- 11:11Speaker 4: John Fetterman says he will join others in the Republican
- 11:14Speaker 4: Party advocating for this, Which brings me to my final point,
- 11:18Speaker 4: what are the American people think about the president stands? Well?
- 11:22Speaker 4: Apparently in new polling, America stands overwhelmingly with Donald Trump
- 11:27Speaker 4: and Israel by staggeringly large numbers. Nearly seventy percent of
- 11:32Speaker 4: Americans say US air strikes to stop Iran's nuclear ambitions
- 11:37Speaker 4: are appropriate, and the best part about it is who
- 11:40Speaker 4: had to report it, CNN. Listen carefully, and.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Overall, I feel like there's more support for Donald Trump's
- 11:45Speaker 2: positions than is comically acknowledged opposer Ran getting a nuclear weapon.
- 11:48Speaker 2: I mean, look at this, Seventy nine percent of adults
- 11:51Speaker 2: agree on that they agree with Donald Trump. Ron cannot
- 11:53Speaker 2: get a nuclear weapon, eighty three percent of Republicans, seventy
- 11:55Speaker 2: nine percent of Independence, seventy nine percent of Democrats. When
- 11:58Speaker 2: you got seventy nine percent of Doday, Democrats and eighty
- 12:00Speaker 2: three percent of Republicans agreeing on anything, you know that
- 12:03Speaker 2: that position is the very clear majority in this country.
- 12:06Speaker 2: And so the American public is with Donald Trump. They
- 12:08Speaker 2: definitely opposed in Ron getting nuclear weapons. So this is
- 12:12Speaker 2: a nuance here. But you know Trump and Ntiniajoe both
- 12:15Speaker 2: arguing that iron is close to being capable of making
- 12:18Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon.
- 12:18Speaker 6: If that is the case, what is the feeling of Americans.
- 12:21Speaker 2: As to whether the United States should get.
- 12:23Speaker 7: Involved in this conflict?
- 12:24Speaker 1: Right?
- 12:24Speaker 2: If you buy Donald Trump's theory of the case. And
- 12:27Speaker 2: I think that's important to note. This is polling from
- 12:29Speaker 2: April for Ranch trying to make a nuclear weapon. Look
- 12:32Speaker 2: at this overall, you get the slight plurality, I mean
- 12:34Speaker 2: it's within the margin amber, but the slight plurality of
- 12:36Speaker 2: Americans actually favor US air strikes compared to forty seven
- 12:39Speaker 2: percent opposing it. Now here's the other Nuggetill note right,
- 12:42Speaker 2: there's been a lot of talk online and on social
- 12:45Speaker 2: media and in podcasts of a divide within the Republican ranks,
- 12:48Speaker 2: but here on this question if Ranch trying to make
- 12:50Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon, look at that sixty nine percent of Republicans.
- 12:53Speaker 2: The clear vast majority of Republicans favor US air strikes
- 12:56Speaker 2: on run on their nuclear facilities.
- 12:58Speaker 4: No doubt President Trump as a support of the American
- 13:01Speaker 4: people in overwhelming and staggering numbers. And for anyone out
- 13:05Speaker 4: there that's trying to tell you there's some massive divide
- 13:07Speaker 4: within MAGA country, they're just wrong. Basically, seventy percent of
- 13:12Speaker 4: the GOP favor US air strikes. This is a major
- 13:17Speaker 4: number on such a quote controversial issue. So there may
- 13:21Speaker 4: actually be just propaganda's out there, just like Tucker Carlson,
- 13:25Speaker 4: who are trying to act like there's some big divide
- 13:27Speaker 4: when clearly the Republican Party is standing with Donald Trump.
