- 1:56Speaker 1: Come come on, uh huh, I sure will. Good morning everybody.
- 2:06Speaker 1: You are listening to the voice, Come on now, big
- 2:09Speaker 1: me want and only Steve Harvey got what radio show man?
- 2:16Speaker 1: What you're doing with it? Trying to do the very
- 2:19Speaker 1: very best I can with it? I really am. You
- 2:21Speaker 1: know I get tired sometimes on my journey. I'm not
- 2:25Speaker 1: gonna kid you. UM. Trying to make something about yourself
- 2:30Speaker 1: is a task. UM. If you want to attempt to
- 2:36Speaker 1: do something and and and understand going in that that.
- 2:42Speaker 1: If the thing you're trying to do is to improve yourself,
- 2:46Speaker 1: to better your position, to better your relationship, your family, anything,
- 2:52Speaker 1: you're trying to be a better you. You're trying to
- 2:56Speaker 1: make more money, you're trying to get it together, you
- 2:59Speaker 1: trying to change If any of those things are in
- 3:04Speaker 1: your hopes and dreams. Know this right here, you are
- 3:09Speaker 1: about to face some challenges. But you might as well
- 3:14Speaker 1: go ahead anyway and face those challenges, because if you don't,
- 3:19Speaker 1: you have a whole other set of challenges to face.
- 3:23Speaker 1: You know, it's a it's a it's an amazing thing. Man,
- 3:26Speaker 1: How people sit around and they watch other people strike
- 3:30Speaker 1: out to become successful. They sit in the stands watching
- 3:33Speaker 1: these people play out these games, and they and they
- 3:37Speaker 1: and they criticize, They boo, they laugh at their efforts
- 3:40Speaker 1: and everything, and they talk about the fairies. He missed
- 3:44Speaker 1: that game when it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man, he
- 3:47Speaker 1: did this. He ain't worth that. I hear people who
- 3:51Speaker 1: sit in stands who criticize people who are out there
- 3:56Speaker 1: on the playing field. Now, when on the playing field
- 4:02Speaker 1: you have a set of challenges in front of you,
- 4:04Speaker 1: you're going to be open to criticism. You're going to
- 4:08Speaker 1: be open to ridicule. You're going to be talked about
- 4:12Speaker 1: when you don't know the people who are talking about you.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Now here's the upside to being the player on the
- 4:23Speaker 1: field that's facing all the challenges, to criticisms, the laughing,
- 4:27Speaker 1: the joke, to being talked about. He has something going
- 4:32Speaker 1: for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl, man has
- 4:39Speaker 1: an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity to win.
- 4:46Speaker 1: And in the game of life, just because you lose
- 4:51Speaker 1: one of the games, or you lose one of the matches,
- 4:55Speaker 1: it don't mean you've lost. You don't get put out.
- 4:58Speaker 1: You keep playing. And when you're playing, here's the upside.
- 5:04Speaker 1: You have the opportunity to win. And but guess what,
- 5:07Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the matches. You're gonna win
- 5:09Speaker 1: some of the points. You're gonna make some of the dunks.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You're gonna hit some of them over the wall. You're
- 5:13Speaker 1: gonna hit some of out the park. You're gonna score
- 5:16Speaker 1: some goals. You will if you're playing the game. Here's
- 5:21Speaker 1: the problem with the people who don't face the criticism,
- 5:26Speaker 1: who nobody boos or cheers for, who sits in the
- 5:30Speaker 1: stands and knows neither victory nor defeat. Those people, without
- 5:39Speaker 1: realizing it, are facing a set of challenges also. And
- 5:44Speaker 1: the challenges they're facing is how I'm gonna live with myself,
- 5:50Speaker 1: What I'm gonna do? Now? What direction am I going in?
- 5:58Speaker 1: Where am I gonna live? Wonder what job will hire me?
- 6:06Speaker 1: Wonder if I can get paid for criticizing all woe
- 6:11Speaker 1: is me. I can't find the purpose in my life.
- 6:17Speaker 1: And man, I'm just waking up in a state of confusion.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't know what to do. Now, let me ask
- 6:23Speaker 1: you something which one of them said, of challenges you
- 6:26Speaker 1: rather be faced with. Because if I'm on the flow playing,
- 6:30Speaker 1: if I'm on the field playing, if I'm out on
- 6:33Speaker 1: the court playing, then guess what I got a chance
- 6:37Speaker 1: at winning? But guess what I'm doing every day while
- 6:40Speaker 1: I'm playing. I'm strategizing. I'm waking up with a purpose.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I'm waking up trying to come up with another angle.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I'm in pursuit of a goal every single day. Versus
- 6:55Speaker 1: the people in the stands who no need the victory
- 7:01Speaker 1: nor defeat. Get in the game, face the challenges. Better yourself,
- 7:09Speaker 1: better your wife, better your children, better your condition, better
- 7:12Speaker 1: your employment status, better your job, better your career. Take
- 7:15Speaker 1: a shot. Come on, man, what you're waiting on? Because
- 7:19Speaker 1: the alternative is to watch other people play the game?
- 7:24Speaker 1: You know what I just do? Sometimes Sometimes I just
- 7:27Speaker 1: I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine, or sometimes I
- 7:32Speaker 1: still grab a copy of Rob Report. I just flipped
- 7:35Speaker 1: through it just to see get I used to get
- 7:38Speaker 1: these this book called Unique Homes. Unique Homes is a
- 7:41Speaker 1: magazine that just has a lot of extravagant houses that's
- 7:45Speaker 1: on sale across the country, across the world. I used
- 7:48Speaker 1: to just flip through. Man, let me just see, man,
- 7:51Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
- 7:59Speaker 1: easily be you if you make the decision. But when
- 8:02Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
- 8:06Speaker 1: a series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not
- 8:10Speaker 1: to accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This
- 8:14Speaker 1: is just for me. It may not be the case
- 8:16Speaker 1: for you. For me, I think it's far more difficult
- 8:18Speaker 1: to wake up and just see how life gonna go today,
- 8:21Speaker 1: because man, it could just deal you any kind of
- 8:23Speaker 1: hand today. You understand, I don't like, you know, spades.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Let's talk a card game, folks, the game of spades. Really, man,
- 8:35Speaker 1: it ain't a whole lot you can do if you
- 8:36Speaker 1: don't get no spades. Really, it's a little couple of
- 8:40Speaker 1: little strategies you've gotta do. But you can have all
- 8:42Speaker 1: this age keen Queen Diamond, all you want. But man,
- 8:45Speaker 1: you ain't got no spades. They're cutting them. You're in trouble.
- 8:49Speaker 1: Be it whist different game. You can create what's in
- 8:53Speaker 1: your hand. You got dealt a hand too, But you
- 8:56Speaker 1: can create a hand. You can call a trump. You
- 8:59Speaker 1: can make diamonds your spades. You can make it hard
- 9:02Speaker 1: to clubs your spades. That's what I'm saying. That's what
- 9:04Speaker 1: it is. You can do something with it. It's a
- 9:06Speaker 1: different game, man. You can strategize. I would rather have
- 9:10Speaker 1: a say so in my life than to wake up
- 9:12Speaker 1: every day and just see how it's going. I think
- 9:14Speaker 1: it's more difficult to not accept the challenge to be
- 9:18Speaker 1: something than it is to accept the challenge to be something.
- 9:21Speaker 1: I think it's more difficult to sit around and not
- 9:24Speaker 1: be nothing. I think it's harder to watch everybody's life
- 9:27Speaker 1: going somewhere but mine. I think it would be very
- 9:30Speaker 1: difficult for me to sit here and hear them talking
- 9:33Speaker 1: about other people and never mention my name. I would
- 9:35Speaker 1: be difficult for me to see everybody rise and getting
- 9:38Speaker 1: promotions accept me. That would be difficult for me. It
- 9:42Speaker 1: may not be for you, but for me it would
- 9:44Speaker 1: be quite challenging. I would rather accept the challenge of
- 9:47Speaker 1: making something out of my life than to sit there
- 9:50Speaker 1: and criticize those and then watch and see how my
- 9:53Speaker 1: life just may go. Okay, that's a thought. Today. You're
- 9:58Speaker 1: listening to morning show. Everybody looking here. I got it
- 10:06Speaker 1: what you're talking about? Come on, I got it. Gratitude, attitude,
- 10:12Speaker 1: got it? Come on one more time. I got it.
- 10:19Speaker 1: What you mean you got it? Talking about that? Gratitude?
- 10:24Speaker 1: I got it? Yeah. Hey, hey, oh this is Steve
- 10:31Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Oh don't ask me, don't don't make no
- 10:38Speaker 1: references to it. You tripping all that? Yeah whatever? You
- 10:44Speaker 1: know why I did that because this is the Steve
- 10:46Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. If it was your show, you might
- 10:49Speaker 1: not do that. You know, I understand. I really don't stay.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Do I have an explanation for it? Absolutely now? And
- 11:01Speaker 1: can I can I make an honest confession. I have
- 11:05Speaker 1: no idea where that comes from. It just came to me.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I did it. Ladies and gentlemen. This it's the Steve
- 11:15Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show, period, Make no mistake about it. Only
- 11:19Speaker 1: one of these Charley Strawberry and Colin for real, my
- 11:22Speaker 1: better South Junior, and the legend that is Nephew Tom well,
- 11:27Speaker 1: junior wants on your mind? Yeah, let me ask you this, man,
- 11:31Speaker 1: because this is something I've been thinking about. And man,
- 11:34Speaker 1: it's not what what blessings I have? But some of
- 11:37Speaker 1: the blessings God don't give you have you experiencing young life.
- 11:40Speaker 1: There's some of the stuff that you some of the
- 11:42Speaker 1: blessings you don't have. No next question, you know, I
- 11:48Speaker 1: think about all the blessings God don't give me what. Well,
- 11:52Speaker 1: I'm just saying something may not be good for you,
- 11:55Speaker 1: but then it ain't a blessing. Oh oh wow. Now
- 12:02Speaker 1: you know. If it's not to be blessed by something,
- 12:06Speaker 1: it's to be adorned or given grace about something. To
- 12:10Speaker 1: be blessed by something is to be granted something you know, well,
- 12:15Speaker 1: you know. But see, that's what's wrong. A lot of times,
- 12:18Speaker 1: there are a lot of people who are so focused
- 12:20Speaker 1: on blaming God for what they don't have when they
- 12:25Speaker 1: don't even know the truth, understanding and depth of what
- 12:29Speaker 1: it would mean to even have what they want. Example,
- 12:32Speaker 1: I'll give you an example, and what better example than
- 12:35Speaker 1: used in me When I was in my twenties, I
- 12:39Speaker 1: was praying to God for a certain amount of money.
- 12:43Speaker 1: Now guess what had he given me that money in
- 12:46Speaker 1: my twenties, I would have blown every single dollar of
- 12:52Speaker 1: that money. Bro I would have ruined it. And he
- 12:57Speaker 1: knew that, so he didn't give it to me. Now
- 13:00Speaker 1: I got a certain little anger level because I can't
- 13:03Speaker 1: believe God ain't giving me what I'm asking for. But
- 13:07Speaker 1: he knew that that you're asking for at this particular time,
- 13:12Speaker 1: you're not ready to receive. I had to learn that
- 13:15Speaker 1: over the years. When he did give it to me,
- 13:19Speaker 1: I took such good care of it because I had
- 13:21Speaker 1: lost everything before. Okay, I can't be mad about the
- 13:25Speaker 1: blessing of God ain't gave you, because if he'd gave
- 13:27Speaker 1: it to you, wouldn't have been a blessing. Amen to that.
- 13:30Speaker 1: Coming up at thirty two minutes half to the hour,
- 13:33Speaker 1: we're here from a nephew, and get me a radio.
- 13:36Speaker 1: I gotta started listening. Yeah, you need a radio show,
- 13:39Speaker 1: me a radio day. You're gonna get you one right
- 13:43Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is
- 13:48Speaker 1: time now for the nephew to run that brank back
- 13:51Speaker 1: what you got for us. Now, there are some people
- 13:54Speaker 1: looking for some happy endings this morning, and some people
- 13:57Speaker 1: looking for some happy endings, So let me give it
- 13:59Speaker 1: to you right here. Happy ending. Hello therapy and to
- 14:04Speaker 1: duty speaking. How may I help you? Yeah, I'm trying
- 14:07Speaker 1: to come in and get some some therapy done. I
- 14:10Speaker 1: was in an accident at my job. You know, I
- 14:12Speaker 1: got injured like a week and a half ago. I
- 14:14Speaker 1: ain't been able to go back to work for my
- 14:16Speaker 1: back and my league they say, you know, I haven't
- 14:18Speaker 1: broke any bones in none, but it's you know, it's
- 14:20Speaker 1: real so or real steal, hard to get out of bed.
- 14:23Speaker 1: So I wanted to see you know what it takes
- 14:25Speaker 1: to get a therapist and get started getting some type
- 14:28Speaker 1: of treatment. Okay, Well, sir, what we typically do is
- 14:31Speaker 1: we ask for our patients to come in, you know,
- 14:34Speaker 1: check out our facility and so we can also accept you,
- 14:38Speaker 1: um you know, see where the damage is the majority
- 14:40Speaker 1: of it, and you know, then get you to a therapist.
- 14:42Speaker 1: So if you would like to come in, we can
- 14:44Speaker 1: definitely do that for you. Okay. Do you know what
- 14:47Speaker 1: the therapists actually do when they do in the treatment. Well,
- 14:49Speaker 1: if you come in, sir, we can definitely direct you
- 14:52Speaker 1: to any of our three therapists that we have on site.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Right now, but each one specializes in a particular um field,
- 15:01Speaker 1: so it's more beneficial for you if you come in
- 15:03Speaker 1: and then we can assess you and then directly to
- 15:05Speaker 1: that particular therapist. Okay, okay, So you said, how many
- 15:09Speaker 1: of y'all do y'all have? We have three? There's Marty,
- 15:12Speaker 1: Brenda and Cecilia here. Okay. The person that referred me
- 15:17Speaker 1: to y'all told me that Cecilia was the one that
- 15:19Speaker 1: that had worked on. Is it a way I could
- 15:21Speaker 1: talk to cecil you? Typically we wantally ask our patience
- 15:25Speaker 1: to come in. Then let me see if she's available
- 15:27Speaker 1: right now. I know earlier she was was a patient,
- 15:30Speaker 1: so let me just check really quick. I mean, if
- 15:32Speaker 1: she is available, then I can I can transfer you. Okay, okay, okay,
- 15:36Speaker 1: I'll just hold on, Okay, hold on, Hi. This is Cecilia. Yeah,
- 15:42Speaker 1: Miss Cecilia trying to come up there and get some
- 15:45Speaker 1: therapy done. I heard my back and my leg at work.
- 15:48Speaker 1: I mean they are they already told me was nothing broken? Nothing,
- 15:50Speaker 1: But I wanted to see what exactly do y'all do
- 15:53Speaker 1: is for? Is physical therapy? You know what exactly will
- 15:56Speaker 1: I be doing well? When you come in we'll do
- 15:59Speaker 1: a consultation and you know, will misfage you and take
- 16:04Speaker 1: X rays and put you in the worldpool tub and
- 16:08Speaker 1: there are several different things that we could do for you. Okay,
- 16:11Speaker 1: is it a certain timeline? I mean, like, how long
- 16:14Speaker 1: would it take before I can get back to work,
- 16:16Speaker 1: because you know, I've been awful about a week nine.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to get back within the next couple of weeks.
- 16:21Speaker 1: But it's taking me, like, you know, at least thirty
- 16:24Speaker 1: minutes to get out of bed because of my back
- 16:26Speaker 1: in my leg. Oh wow, Well you need to come
- 16:28Speaker 1: in as soon as possible because that's song Like, that's
- 16:31Speaker 1: pretty bad. Okay, Well, let me ask you this hill.
- 16:34Speaker 1: After people get through doing the therapy, do y'all have
- 16:38Speaker 1: happy endings? Happy endings? What do you mean by happy endings?
- 16:42Speaker 1: Happy end is like, you know, when therapy is over with,
- 16:44Speaker 1: you know, do would you yourself? You know, would you
- 16:47Speaker 1: do happy endings at the end? Okay, I'm still not
- 16:50Speaker 1: understanding what do you mean by happy endings? What are
- 16:54Speaker 1: you talking about? Okay, say, like if I come over
- 16:56Speaker 1: then and go through a session or whatever for about
- 16:58Speaker 1: an hour, when you get through, you know, when you
- 17:01Speaker 1: kind of like, you know, close the door and and
- 17:04Speaker 1: you know, you know, do happy endings, you know, make
- 17:07Speaker 1: me feel good? Okay, um, close the door. I'm still
- 17:15Speaker 1: not quite understanding what you mean by happy ending, sir. Okay,
- 17:19Speaker 1: what I'm trying to say is like when we get
- 17:21Speaker 1: through with the procedure, uh, you know, make me feel
- 17:24Speaker 1: good in a in a nice uh you know sexual way.
- 17:27Speaker 1: You know, happy endings. When Judy sent you back to me,
- 17:33Speaker 1: what are we talking about with this happy ending thing?
- 17:35Speaker 1: Because I don't I don't. I didn't ask something hum
- 17:37Speaker 1: about the happy ending? Is that that right there just
- 17:39Speaker 1: gonna be between me and you? We'll see. I don't.
- 17:41Speaker 1: I don't play that. I don't know. This is a
- 17:44Speaker 1: place of business. We're professional here. We do therapy for
- 17:49Speaker 1: people who are seriously being hurt. This is not the
- 17:53Speaker 1: nearest for we're talking about happy endings after we finish
- 17:57Speaker 1: with that. What's not a place do you think this is? Is? Well?
- 18:00Speaker 1: I mean I know it's I know it's therapy, But
- 18:02Speaker 1: I mean, if people going through that much pain at
- 18:05Speaker 1: least have some type of happy endings, don't you think well,
- 18:08Speaker 1: I think you might suggest your significant other. Okay, so
- 18:12Speaker 1: you wouldn't be up for doing a happy ending for hell, no,
- 18:15Speaker 1: ain't interested in the man? What kind of this you
- 18:19Speaker 1: call about talking about? You heard call? If you heard,
- 18:22Speaker 1: you shouldn't be even talking aboutending? You're talking about it? Okay?
- 18:25Speaker 1: Hold on? I mean you're not talking to me professionally.
- 18:28Speaker 1: Well you coming at me with this happy ending ain't
- 18:31Speaker 1: professionally at all either? What kind of place you? Ain't
- 18:34Speaker 1: we running over here? Okay? Hold on? I was referred
- 18:37Speaker 1: to you. I'm thinking, you know the God telling me?
- 18:40Speaker 1: You know you're gonna take keimmy? What God told you
- 18:43Speaker 1: like this? I'm sorry I told you something like this. Look,
- 18:47Speaker 1: let you know what that's not even going there because
- 18:49Speaker 1: I don't even want to bring him any this? Can
- 18:51Speaker 1: you satisfy me out the east there? I'm gonna tip
- 18:53Speaker 1: you a little bit too, man? Have you lost your
- 18:58Speaker 1: everlasting mob mind? Are you going crazy? Julie, Julie? Who
- 19:04Speaker 1: in the hell is this on the phone that you
- 19:07Speaker 1: didn't sit through me thinking this is an happy ending place?
- 19:10Speaker 1: Who is this? Missus Cilia? She don't she don't know
- 19:13Speaker 1: nothing about the happy ending part. It don't matter you.
- 19:16Speaker 1: You you're the receptionist. You know what you on the
- 19:19Speaker 1: borderline losing your job, because this is hello, Hello, missus Cilia.
- 19:24Speaker 1: Can I just tell you who who referred me? Who?
- 19:27Speaker 1: Who who told you that I have happy endies for anybody?
- 19:32Speaker 1: Because person I have happy endies for it is my husband.
- 19:36Speaker 1: Who who is it, missus Cilia. Nephew Timmy from the
- 19:40Speaker 1: Steve Harvin Morning Show, Your girlfriend Karen got me the
- 19:44Speaker 1: prank phone? Call you y'all, y'all in here getting me rid.

- 19:55Speaker 1: the libbists back. I'd have lost my job. Call me
- 20:00Speaker 1: on my job. I'm a kick. Cuts don't make no sense,
- 20:09Speaker 1: missus Cilius. He told me she say my girlfriend Patience
- 20:12Speaker 1: is short day dairy. Oh it's own. She gonna need her,
- 20:19Speaker 1: that's all right. I got something for her. Oh you
- 20:22Speaker 1: got some happy endings. I got some happy endings for her.
- 20:26Speaker 1: You just wait till you gotta tell me this baby.

- 21:18Speaker 1: but right now it is time to ask the CLO.
- 21:23Speaker 1: All right, Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey is ready for
- 21:26Speaker 1: Lauren and Carrollton. Lauren writes, I'm dating an older man
- 21:30Speaker 1: and he's not really affectionate. He won't hold my hand
- 21:33Speaker 1: in public, and he doesn't ever give me a title
- 21:36Speaker 1: when I meet his friends. He said I love you
- 21:39Speaker 1: first to me, but I'm not feeling the love. What
- 21:42Speaker 1: could be holding him back? Well, he don't love you,
- 21:46Speaker 1: It's okay, he just said he did. He not giving
- 21:50Speaker 1: you no PD eight because he has none to give.
- 21:54Speaker 1: He's old and said in his ways and it is
- 21:56Speaker 1: how he do it. And he ain't giving you a
- 21:58Speaker 1: title because he don't know if you want to be around,
- 22:01Speaker 1: there's huh, there's hug y'all. Yeah, oh girl, girl, man,
- 22:17Speaker 1: he forgot a name, baby girl. Don't stick around for
- 22:26Speaker 1: that long. Oh man, I can't hold your hand. Mine
- 22:30Speaker 1: sweatist every excuse. All right, We're moving on to Olivia
- 22:37Speaker 1: in Knoxville. Olivia says, my husband and I were having
- 22:40Speaker 1: sex and a tiny black bug blew into our bedroom window.
- 22:45Speaker 1: He jumped up, yelling to the top of his lungs.
- 22:49Speaker 1: When he gets all dramatic like that, it kills the
- 22:52Speaker 1: mood for me. How can he let a bug ruin
- 22:55Speaker 1: a good night in bed? You don't really want me
- 22:57Speaker 1: to answer this question. You want to go to the
- 22:59Speaker 1: next question. Yes, we do, because you really don't want
- 23:04Speaker 1: me to tell you what we really do mean really
- 23:16Speaker 1: really don't know. We know. I can't tell you what
- 23:21Speaker 1: I didn't head. I didn't have five longs go off
- 23:25Speaker 1: in hotels. I didn't head. Yeah, fire alarming you in
- 23:35Speaker 1: the home stole along. That's a false alarm. You. I
- 23:42Speaker 1: didn't have kids knocking at the dope your kids? Yeah, wow,
- 23:52Speaker 1: that's a real Now, I mean, you know you you're
- 23:55Speaker 1: dealing with a man that I don't where is this focus? Matt?
- 24:00Speaker 1: What Matt? Look man, look your woman didn't jump? What
- 24:05Speaker 1: you jumping? Holland fault because he doesn't like bugs. But
- 24:10Speaker 1: he used the move because she don't know who she
- 24:13Speaker 1: in bed with. That's what the move killed. Is Who
- 24:17Speaker 1: am I in bed with? She just rolled in my
- 24:20Speaker 1: bed with Terrace? Am I in bed with? Teresa? Who
- 24:23Speaker 1: I'm in here with? We're moving on. You ought to
- 24:27Speaker 1: be able to do it to kill the bug at
- 24:28Speaker 1: the same time. Wait what tummy? You ought to be
- 24:32Speaker 1: able to keep doing it and kill the bug at
- 24:34Speaker 1: the same man, Damn that bug. I wouldn't give I
- 24:37Speaker 1: wouldn't give damage. The bug had slammed into the window
- 24:39Speaker 1: and broke the window. All right, now we're moving on.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Pixie and Baton Rouge says, I had a dinner for
- 24:50Speaker 1: my son's birthday, and I'm still having sex with my
- 24:53Speaker 1: son's father occasionally. I was blindsided when he brought a
- 24:57Speaker 1: girlfriend to our son's party. He said he didn't have
- 25:00Speaker 1: to tell me about her. How could he play me
- 25:02Speaker 1: like that? Oh? I say that again. I'm mister Shelby. Okay.
- 25:05Speaker 1: This is from Pixie and Baton Rouge. She had a
- 25:07Speaker 1: dinner for her son's birthday and she's still having sex
- 25:11Speaker 1: with her son's father with her baby daddy, And she
- 25:14Speaker 1: said she was blindsided when baby daddy brought a girlfriend
- 25:18Speaker 1: to the son's birthday party and the and the baby
- 25:22Speaker 1: daddy said he didn't have to tell her, and she
- 25:24Speaker 1: wants to know. How could he, the baby daddy play
- 25:26Speaker 1: her like that? Yeah, he don't. He don't have to tell.
- 25:29Speaker 1: He didn't tell you, So that's proof that he don't
- 25:31Speaker 1: have to because he didn't. Yeah, and he showed up
- 25:34Speaker 1: with her. You're not his girlfriend, she hid, so she
- 25:37Speaker 1: decide piece the wife. He's been the side together. Yeah,
- 25:43Speaker 1: listen to me. The reason they're not sleeping together no more.
- 25:46Speaker 1: The reason he'd have moved on is because he made
- 25:49Speaker 1: her the side piece. Wants to be fault and she
- 25:51Speaker 1: didn't want to be the side piece. Now she's the
- 25:54Speaker 1: side piece again. See what what? What? What's the confused?
- 26:01Speaker 1: If you let me sleep outside on you wants to
- 26:05Speaker 1: be fought And we had this baby and then I
- 26:08Speaker 1: slept outside the relationship on you, and then I continue
- 26:13Speaker 1: to sleep with you and I got another relationship and
- 26:18Speaker 1: I'm gonna sleep with you again because you let me
- 26:21Speaker 1: do it. Once before, I'd be trying to help win
- 26:24Speaker 1: with this information. I know it sounds funky, know what
- 26:28Speaker 1: you're saying, it's true because she's allowing it to happen
- 26:34Speaker 1: and she's allowed it to happen again. And her question
- 26:36Speaker 1: is how could he think he can play me like
- 26:39Speaker 1: this because he played you like this before y'all broke
- 26:43Speaker 1: up for a reason. It was probably because he was cheating.
- 26:46Speaker 1: That's how y'all broke up. And then he came back
- 26:50Speaker 1: after he cheated on you and you slept with him. Anyway,
- 26:52Speaker 1: Somebody guess what, let me go get a girlfriend because
- 26:56Speaker 1: you you okay with it? Yeah? Yeah, she's feeling Could
- 27:01Speaker 1: I let you get away? A song for that too?
- 27:06Speaker 1: I need some love today, all right now? Listen, this
- 27:12Speaker 1: is the last one, Steve. This is from Verna and Evanston. Okay.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Verna says, I'm single and dating with intention. I intend
- 27:21Speaker 1: to meet a man that matches my energy in the bedroom.
- 27:24Speaker 1: But guys get turned off when I tell them exactly
- 27:27Speaker 1: what I want. Why can't guys process what we tell
- 27:30Speaker 1: them when we're being open and honest. Well, see, Vernon,
- 27:34Speaker 1: this is why you buy yourself? Okay, why you didn't
- 27:39Speaker 1: here bossing around, you running stuff. You can't telling everybody
- 27:42Speaker 1: what you want to do for you get doing. We
- 27:44Speaker 1: all want to process all that. We just want to
- 27:46Speaker 1: come in here and do it. We might have a
- 27:47Speaker 1: good idea, damnself. She didn't. Where do you get Boston around?
- 27:52Speaker 1: She said, well, you in here with all these instruction
- 27:55Speaker 1: man started, I tell them exactly what I want. That's
- 27:58Speaker 1: all right, okay, cool, but this is what I want
- 28:01Speaker 1: to do today though I had a plan going in.
- 28:05Speaker 1: Where am I? Where am I playing there at? You
- 28:07Speaker 1: know I got some moves. I'm perfected over the years.
- 28:10Speaker 1: And you know she old because her name is Vernabody
- 28:12Speaker 1: name Vernon No, damn mo. She drank ginger all and everything.
- 28:17Speaker 1: But what she's asking is what's wrong with because he's crazy?
- 28:22Speaker 1: Because she by herself, and she been by herself and
- 28:26Speaker 1: she keeps losing me, and because it is because she
- 28:29Speaker 1: tells them exactly what she wants. It ain't just that
- 28:33Speaker 1: if you tell a man everything you want in the bed,
- 28:35Speaker 1: you that ain't wearing stops. Y'a always telling somebody what
- 28:41Speaker 1: she wants, how to do, how to be, where to go,
- 28:43Speaker 1: where to lay when they come, when they go, what
- 28:48Speaker 1: this is how, this is how old why she by
- 28:52Speaker 1: herself her name Verna. All right, coming up, ginger Ale.
- 28:59Speaker 1: I'm telling you right Nat making root beer floats for dessert.
- 29:05Speaker 1: All that's delicious. Smara is coming up right after this.
- 29:12Speaker 1: You're listening show. Everybody has promise we got a special
- 29:18Speaker 1: guest this morning. And lord, lord lord, what a special
- 29:22Speaker 1: guest it is. It is one of my sisters, one
- 29:27Speaker 1: of the legendary queens of comedy. Huh to reign supreme
- 29:34Speaker 1: all this time, still queening, Yes, yes, still queening, stole
- 29:40Speaker 1: out shows all around the country, and we really really
- 29:44Speaker 1: happened to announce she's got an all new Netflix special
- 29:48Speaker 1: out this month. It's Smara Queen Chandelier. It's available now
- 29:54Speaker 1: on Netflix. We find and find out more about it.
- 29:58Speaker 1: Queen Chandelier is the name of us special. Yes, God, dog,
- 30:01Speaker 1: get on it. Lady and gentlemen, put your hands together
- 30:04Speaker 1: and anything else that clapped for the one and over
- 30:08Speaker 1: give it up for the Queen some more. Ye, good morning,
- 30:16Speaker 1: Good morning, y'all. Listen. See you don't put the arm
- 30:20Speaker 1: on my name, but I'm gonna go with that. I
- 30:23Speaker 1: like it, I like it, and I'm gonna roll you know,
- 30:26Speaker 1: I've been doing that though I don't know it everybody,
- 30:31Speaker 1: some are pro right right, but but I'm gonna go
- 30:38Speaker 1: with it. Listen, My special drop today at twelve o'clock
- 30:42Speaker 1: midnight on Netflix. I watched it at twelve o one.
- 30:49Speaker 1: First of all, I wanted to make to it work,
- 30:52Speaker 1: you know, before I wanted to make to it work.
- 30:55Speaker 1: So it is definitely working. It dropped at twelve o one,
- 30:59Speaker 1: and I I cried the first five minutes watching it. Yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 1: you know it was. It was just that amazing. It
- 31:06Speaker 1: felt so good. It's entitled Queen Chandelier, and I am
- 31:09Speaker 1: all too proud of it. It is. It is amazing,
- 31:12Speaker 1: absolutely amazing. And you know how as an artist, you know,
- 31:15Speaker 1: we see it. We have times when we feel insecure
- 31:17Speaker 1: about the work and we really don't know what it's
- 31:19Speaker 1: gonna look like, what it's gonna feel like, but it is.
- 31:22Speaker 1: It is probably my best work yet. Like this is
- 31:25Speaker 1: a six my six solo project, self produced project, and
- 31:30Speaker 1: I'm I think this is the best work ever that
- 31:32Speaker 1: I've done. You know something, No, listen when a person
- 31:35Speaker 1: says six six solo projects, I don't I don't know
- 31:39Speaker 1: if people really understand what that is and work man,
- 31:42Speaker 1: that's six yes, and the six pieces of work. None
- 31:46Speaker 1: of them with the same joke on it. None, not
- 31:50Speaker 1: like not like some of these people. Now you come on, now,
- 31:54Speaker 1: you can't keep talking about how many specials you've got
- 31:56Speaker 1: and they repeating jokes and all this that he's from
- 32:01Speaker 1: that old school. Y'all have got to check this out.
- 32:04Speaker 1: It's called queen shadow. Now you're sounding off on a
- 32:07Speaker 1: whole lot of stuff. I gotta watch it called social
- 32:10Speaker 1: you're talking about social media, prayer request? What's that about? Listen.
- 32:19Speaker 1: We just gotta have some We just gotta have some
- 32:21Speaker 1: rules and regulations in these streets. I realized during the
- 32:24Speaker 1: pandemic it was a lot of things that we would
- 32:27Speaker 1: introduced to in our culture, in our society, and I
- 32:31Speaker 1: just thought we just needed some rules and regulations, Like
- 32:34Speaker 1: what's the age limit on baby here? Like we gotta
- 32:39Speaker 1: have an age talk about it. Talk about I seeing
- 32:42Speaker 1: a girl with great baby here, and you just said
- 32:44Speaker 1: you can't have great baby here. You can't have a baby.
- 32:53Speaker 1: You can't have baby hair, that's just it. Time a baby.
- 33:00Speaker 1: You can't have a baby. Serious, if you're two tied,
- 33:04Speaker 1: you can't have a baby. Here, somebody got to draw
- 33:11Speaker 1: the line for person, for a person that that that's
- 33:17Speaker 1: going to tune in to watch this special entitled Queen Chandelier.
- 33:23Speaker 1: What what's the takeaway when they get through watching this
- 33:26Speaker 1: or while they watching it? What's the takeaway? Um, you
- 33:29Speaker 1: will see the mind, this is the this is the
- 33:32Speaker 1: most vulnerable I've ever been in my life. You would
- 33:35Speaker 1: definitely see my growth, you will see my maturity. Um.
- 33:39Speaker 1: I was locked in the house during the pandemic. My
- 33:41Speaker 1: father had just passed. I'm a full time caregiver for
- 33:45Speaker 1: my mother, who has Alzheimer's. I'm out of work. I'm
- 33:48Speaker 1: home just going through life, going through life, and reach
- 33:53Speaker 1: down to the depths of my soul and found what
- 33:55Speaker 1: was funny to me? I almost called it no eyebrows,
- 33:58Speaker 1: no bra Okay, you worked too, worked too. So that's
- 34:07Speaker 1: how wrong it is when it comes to my emotions
- 34:12Speaker 1: and my feelings about everything. Let me ask you that, Hey,
- 34:20Speaker 1: with all that's going on, what what's really kept you
- 34:24Speaker 1: going through all of it? Laughter? Listen, laughter, laughter, And
- 34:28Speaker 1: in my community, supporting my family and my friends. That
- 34:32Speaker 1: is the only thing that kept me for real and
- 34:34Speaker 1: had a safe than God. That's it. So it's a
- 34:37Speaker 1: lot of the special, just like doing the pandemic, and
- 34:41Speaker 1: while you're coping with everything, you having to cope with
- 34:44Speaker 1: on a personal level, because I don't think a lot
- 34:45Speaker 1: of people don't know a lot of comedians. Man, they
- 34:49Speaker 1: just put we put a lot of our life out
- 34:52Speaker 1: there in a digestible form, right. You know what was
- 34:56Speaker 1: really getting me. People were calling me and I was
- 34:59Speaker 1: seeing people online people were like, oh, you should come
- 35:01Speaker 1: out of this pandemic with another skill and another mindset
- 35:05Speaker 1: and another talent. And I'm sitting at home talking about
- 35:09Speaker 1: what I having no other talent, I'm doing nothing else.
- 35:12Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not dancing on them, and I'm not
- 35:15Speaker 1: dj and I'm not cooking. I'm feeling like, okay, so
- 35:19Speaker 1: what is going on? So you know, God just said
- 35:22Speaker 1: do what you do and pick up that pen and
- 35:25Speaker 1: express what you see the world how you see the world.
- 35:28Speaker 1: And it came out to be Queen Chandelier. So it
- 35:32Speaker 1: is it is excellent work. I am glad that I
- 35:34Speaker 1: was able to embody all of that at one time.
- 35:37Speaker 1: And it's a piece that I'm glad that's people into
- 35:40Speaker 1: our society right now. And it is beautiful. Wow, Hey,
- 35:43Speaker 1: hang on, hang on right there. Hey, we're gonna come
- 35:45Speaker 1: back with more Smar now the specialist called Queen Chandelier.
- 35:50Speaker 1: It's on Netflix right now. Hey, y'all, go to Netflix
- 35:53Speaker 1: and tune in for Queen Chandalier. We'll be back with
- 35:56Speaker 1: some right after this. You're listening show, all right, everybody,
- 36:01Speaker 1: We're back in our special guests this morning. One of
- 36:03Speaker 1: the original queens of comedy, the one and only some
- 36:06Speaker 1: More hears our special guests. Her Netflix special just came out.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's entitled Queen Chandelier. I need everybody in the Steve
- 36:15Speaker 1: Harvey Nation. First of all, let me let me just
- 36:18Speaker 1: set the record straight. We all know the level of
- 36:22Speaker 1: ignorance that this woman can attain. Ignance hypothesized, genderfied, quantified
- 36:33Speaker 1: square and we got on the phone day we're talking
- 36:38Speaker 1: about it. And you know, so, how do you propose
- 36:41Speaker 1: how how do you professionally or personally prepare for a
- 36:45Speaker 1: project like this? You know, being that I'm an independent artist.
- 36:49Speaker 1: And when I say an independent artist and I you know,
- 36:52Speaker 1: executive produced the fan of special. I do everything. I'm
- 36:56Speaker 1: involved in everything. I write the special. I'm in charge
- 36:59Speaker 1: of the set design, I'm in charge of the theater.
- 37:03Speaker 1: I'm in charge of which market we go to. I'm
- 37:06Speaker 1: in shop, in charge of shopping the project, to license
- 37:09Speaker 1: it out, negotiating the deal, like everything from beginning to end.
- 37:13Speaker 1: I sell the popcorn if I was able to, you know,
- 37:17Speaker 1: but I work a deal where I can get a
- 37:19Speaker 1: percentage on that. But what I'm proud of is that,
- 37:22Speaker 1: you know, as an artist, when you go into this business,
- 37:25Speaker 1: everybody wants to go into it and then have it
- 37:28Speaker 1: where you just blow up and become a real big star.
- 37:31Speaker 1: But some people's path is different where you have to
- 37:34Speaker 1: be more educated about your business and learn the ins
- 37:37Speaker 1: and out of it. And it feels better to me
- 37:40Speaker 1: this way, being an independent artist and being hands on.
- 37:44Speaker 1: So I'm in on the presentation of my work and
- 37:47Speaker 1: it feels so good, Like I know everything about everything
- 37:51Speaker 1: about The Special, So I love it this way, right.
- 37:55Speaker 1: I think that that's been a huge part of your
- 37:57Speaker 1: longevity because you cannot stick Listen to me, man, we're
- 38:02Speaker 1: talking kings, queens and comedy. We're talking about the nineties, y'all.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Y'all just saw The Special. Y'all saw the movie in
- 38:10Speaker 1: two thousand. This thing was jumping off before that, we
- 38:15Speaker 1: were together making it work. For a person to still
- 38:19Speaker 1: be from that era and still be relevant and still
- 38:23Speaker 1: cranking out special is a testament to number one the
- 38:27Speaker 1: work ethic and number two the business accumus. Go to
- 38:31Speaker 1: Netflix and watch Queen Chandelier. Our girl, Somemar is in business.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Some more. Congratulations girl, Thank you all. This is happening
- 38:42Speaker 1: in black history months, so I'm shiny. Congratulations girl. It's

- 38:51Speaker 1: up for the one and only Samara. I appreciate y'all.

- 38:59Speaker 1: it is the prank phone call for today from the nephew.

- 40:53Speaker 1: know if you heard about this story. Um. This woman,
- 40:57Speaker 1: Marie Carson, lives in Indianapolis. She allegedly embezzled close to
- 41:02Speaker 1: I don't know, five hundred and seventy five dollars from
- 41:05Speaker 1: her church. This happened over a thirteen year period. She
- 41:09Speaker 1: spent it all. This is where she's seventy four thousand, thousand, dollars.
- 41:13Speaker 1: A yea thousand, that's big money, six figures. Yes, five
- 41:17Speaker 1: hundred is seminy four thousand dollars, Yes, ma'am, he did
- 41:22Speaker 1: what would it? She spent it on going to the

- 41:29Speaker 1: every year. And Marie is seventy two years old. She's
- 41:33Speaker 1: been sentenced to two years in federal prison. I'm just saying,
- 41:38Speaker 1: can you believe that she stole from the lord's house

- 54:06Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on type. We got it for you.
- 54:08Speaker 1: Here it is Strawberry Letter. Thank you, neph you subject
- 54:11Speaker 1: Undy's in his suitcase? All right, Stephen Shirley, Yeah, I
- 54:19Speaker 1: don't know how I will be able to help this
- 54:20Speaker 1: dog out right here. It's not what you think, Dear
- 54:24Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. I married my high school sweetheart nine years ago.
- 54:28Speaker 1: He is a preacher's kid and he lived a sheltered
- 54:31Speaker 1: life until he met me at age seventeen. Is daddy
- 54:35Speaker 1: told me the only way I could date his son
- 54:37Speaker 1: was to join their church. So I joined the church
- 54:41Speaker 1: and got to have dinner at their nice, big house
- 54:43Speaker 1: on Sundays. My husband was very lame before I started
- 54:47Speaker 1: dating him, but after I turned him out, all of
- 54:50Speaker 1: the girls wanted him. He was with me twenty four
- 54:53Speaker 1: to seven because I put it on him every day.
- 54:56Speaker 1: His dad was crazy about me, too, so I felt
- 54:59Speaker 1: like part of their family. On my husband's twentieth birthday,
- 55:03Speaker 1: he proposed to me and his parents bought me a
- 55:06Speaker 1: nice diamond ring. We got married and I had two children.
- 55:10Speaker 1: My mother in law died a year after we got married,
- 55:14Speaker 1: so my father in law spends a lot of time
- 55:16Speaker 1: over our house helping out with the children. My husband
- 55:20Speaker 1: always jokes about his dad liking me more than he
- 55:22Speaker 1: likes him. At first, it was just a joke, but
- 55:26Speaker 1: not anymore. It's no laughing matter. After I found three
- 55:30Speaker 1: pairs of my panties in his dad's suitcase. His dad
- 55:35Speaker 1: is notorious for throwing dirty clothes back in his suitcase.
- 55:38Speaker 1: So when I did laundry Tuesday, I saw my panties
- 55:42Speaker 1: in his suitcase. I asked my father in law if
- 55:45Speaker 1: he took my panties, and he smiled and said yes
- 55:48Speaker 1: he did. He told me he is dreamt of seeing
- 55:51Speaker 1: me in them ever since he overheard me and my
- 55:53Speaker 1: husband making love years ago. One more time, Tommy, he
- 56:02Speaker 1: told me he's dying to switch places with his son.
- 56:05Speaker 1: Do I avoid my father in law from now on?
- 56:08Speaker 1: Do I tell my husband? Or do I give this
- 56:11Speaker 1: old preacher what he wants? Girl? Are you crazy? I
- 56:16Speaker 1: mean really? Are you crazy? For real? Right now, you
- 56:19Speaker 1: already know number three as an option is completely out,
- 56:23Speaker 1: But since you had to ask, no, don't give this
- 56:28Speaker 1: old preacher what he wants. Come on, this is your
- 56:30Speaker 1: husband's father. Yeah, this is your husband's father. I know
- 56:35Speaker 1: you know that that cannot happen if you plan to
- 56:39Speaker 1: stay married to your husband who is his son. Right.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I do know you know this, surely you do, but
- 56:45Speaker 1: it does concern me since you put it in a letter.
- 56:50Speaker 1: That is this old man's problem, not yours. Okay, what
- 56:54Speaker 1: you're gonna have to do now is get him out
- 56:56Speaker 1: of your house. I mean he's causing confusion, could cause
- 57:00Speaker 1: a major rift between you and your husband. Of course,
- 57:04Speaker 1: you have a big ego. You like to brag about
- 57:07Speaker 1: how you got your husband turn him out, and you know,
- 57:10Speaker 1: and all this stuff, and the and the fact that
- 57:13Speaker 1: your father in law said you wanted he wanted you.
- 57:16Speaker 1: All this feeds into your ego even more. But you
- 57:19Speaker 1: got to think beyond what his dad said to you
- 57:21Speaker 1: and realize that this thing with his dad could destroy
- 57:24Speaker 1: your family if you act on this. I don't think
- 57:27Speaker 1: you want to do that. I just don't. Don't be stupid.
- 57:30Speaker 1: Kids are involved. You guys have kids. So you need
- 57:32Speaker 1: to tell his dad and no uncertain terms, to get
- 57:35Speaker 1: a life, get a wife of his own, and to
- 57:38Speaker 1: leave you and your panties alone. And please stop entertaining
- 57:42Speaker 1: this foolishness before you lose everything. Steve, I know it's crazy.
- 57:54Speaker 1: I don't know where to start. I don't know where Tom.
- 57:57Speaker 1: I'm gonna do this letter differently. I'm not gonna go
- 58:00Speaker 1: through the letter. I'm gonna just get to it. This
- 58:03Speaker 1: letter's real, super and the problem that we have in
- 58:07Speaker 1: here is at the very end the statement that she
- 58:11Speaker 1: makes last, Do I avoid my father in law from now?
- 58:16Speaker 1: Do I tell my husband? Or do I give this
- 58:22Speaker 1: old preacher what he wants? Wow? My question is, how
- 58:29Speaker 1: is this even a consideration? Right? Unless you see she's
- 58:37Speaker 1: saying this old preacher, but this old preacher that sparked
- 58:42Speaker 1: her interest. See, that's the problem we have here. She's
- 58:49Speaker 1: attracted to this boy's daddy because she's turned on with
- 58:54Speaker 1: the fact that he's still in Panis. Now she thinks
- 58:58Speaker 1: that's sexy. So the real problem we got here ain't no,
- 59:03Speaker 1: will you destroy your family tell this old man to
- 59:07Speaker 1: get his own wife? No, how are you even considering this?
- 59:14Speaker 1: The problem ain't the old man. The problem is you.
- 59:18Speaker 1: The fact that you're considering this makes this letter difficult.
- 59:21Speaker 1: So now what I think I'm gonna do, Because you
- 59:24Speaker 1: know you're about to ruin a lot of lives. You're
- 59:26Speaker 1: gonna ruin your life, your husband's life, You're gonna mess
- 59:30Speaker 1: up your children's life. Ain't gonna mess this old man life. Folk.
- 59:34Speaker 1: So when I come back, I think I'm gonna do
- 59:35Speaker 1: some type of reenactment because I really don't know how
- 59:40Speaker 1: to do this. I'm gonna be the preacher. Tommy, you're
- 59:48Speaker 1: gonna be the son, and surely you're gonna be the daughter. Okay,
- 59:55Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm doing yet, but here it is.
- 59:57Speaker 1: Because this letter ain't worth my time, cause you're crazy.
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: Her reenactment coming up in part two of Today's Strawberry Letter.
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: The subject is Undy's in his suitcase. Coming up at
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the hour. We'll see how it
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: goes right after this. You're listening show, all right, Steve,
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: come on, let's recap today's Strawberry Letter. The subject is
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: Undy's in his suitcase. So here's the deal. This young couple,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: the preacher and the preacher's wife. They had a preacher's kid.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: He was seventeen, married this dating this girl in high school.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: The father told the girl, you can't even date my
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: son unless you join our church. She joined the church,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: and then she started turning the boy out. He was sheltered,
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: didn't have no real no uh, street savvy. She started
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: putting it on him every day. Then all of a
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: sudden he developed some swagger and now all the girls
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: won't him. But you know, they got a big house
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: and everything so when they turned twenty, he proposed to
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: the girl. He said, yeah, the family bought the marine.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: They got married. His parents bought a diamondrine they got married.
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: They have two children now, and then the mother in
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: law passed after they were married a year. So the
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: father in law now spends a lot of time over
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: their house helping with the children. And her husband always
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: jokes about his dad and heard the lady wrote the
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: letter more than he likes me. And then the lady
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: thinks that first he was a joke, for not anymore.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I'm not a laughing matter. Because she found three powerful
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: her panties in his daddy's suitcase, and his dad is
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: notorious for throwing dirty clothes back in the suitcase. So
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: when I did laundry Tuesday, I saw my panty and
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: I asked my father in law. He took my panties,
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: and he smiled and said yeah. He told me he's
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: been dreaming of seeing me in them every since he
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: overheard me and my son making a love of years ago.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: He told me he's dying to switch places with my son.
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: This helper rode in and said, do I avoid my
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: father off from now? Do I tell my husband do
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: I get this, old preacher, what do you want? So
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: this is to reenactment. Tommy is the son, Shirley is
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the woman, and I'm that old man. Kids. I'm back
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: over here today. How y'all doing? Hey Pop, little fella, Hey,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: do me a favor, go to snow or get me

- 1:02:26Speaker 1: I know, but I ain't just gonna go to snow,
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: all right, baby, I'll be back, all right, all right,

- 1:02:48Speaker 1: make sure you all right. You know? Yeah, your your
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: son takes excellent care of me. Pop, Yes he does.

- 1:02:57Speaker 1: you go, boy? How you doing? Hey? Yah? One other thing?
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Can you go to the steward and get me a
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: quarter motor al? What's wrong with the car? Pop? That's

- 1:07:01Speaker 1: I was coming from church one night and I was
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: walking in the middle of the street, you know, because
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: I walked on into the street at night, and this
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: this German shepherd came around his neck and I could
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: hear the chain dragging in the street. I turned around
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: and saw that damn dog. Two you're moving hunt why
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: with no farting on? And that's a true story. Yeah,

- 1:07:48Speaker 1: what's going on in Baltimore, but there's still no long

- 1:07:55Speaker 1: a non exclusive to the Baltimore Ravens. I mean he
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: can talk to any team. He won't, you, man, I
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: would hate for him to leave Baltimore. Man, but he's been,
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: he's been an he's been. He's allowed to talk to
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: other teams. Yes, yes, sir, Hey, hey, right man. I
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: just want to let him know if he's thinking about
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: a team, I have one and not. He's not. Ain't
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: about thing about the Why would he going on in

- 1:09:20Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. Okay, Steve,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: you have a funny story about ash Wednesday. We're celebrating
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: ash Wednesday today. We'll figure out what we're giving up
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: for Lent this year as well. Right after this, you're
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, today is ash Wednesday. Steve.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Usually you grace us with the story that we love.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Tell us what you're giving up for lent today. It's Shirley.
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: I think I'm gonna stop telling you how to produce
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: this show. I'm gonna give up show production because it's
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: obvious you gonna do what the hell you want to do.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Because I hold you I did not want to do
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: the damn Ash. Where is this story? And then you
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: go right up in here and go I know you
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: said you didn't want to do, but it's so damn fully,
- 1:10:13Speaker 1: I laughed every year at the same Damn I just money. Okay,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: So what are you giving up for? Left? I don't
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: really do that, but you want me to make up
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: something I don't. It's giving up for lint. Can I
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: give up? Oh? Or co host? You ain't got real
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: up in here. I'm gonna give up, does it? Let
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: me ask you something when you give up something for lick?
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Does it? What's the rule of giving up something for lick? Well,
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: it should be what it's like fasting. You know, you
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: give up something that's important to you that means something
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: to you over lent, like I'll give up sugar or
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: some people. And how many days is that? For? Forty days?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: The amount of days that Jesus was tempted by the
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: devil and the wilderness. That's what it's attached to ompted
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: wilderness by by the devil. Yes, that was Jesus though,
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: righting our lord. And you know I couldn't tempt it
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: for farty straight two two and then I'm gonna just say, ah,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: I will come on there. God, let's see. I don't know, well,
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: I could give up, like, give me an example of
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: something you give up alcohol? Yeah, sugar, alcohol, fat, my
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: food alcohol. I ain't got hi media. What can I
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: give up my wife and kids for for today? Is
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: that you can try and see what happens. No, no, no,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: Now you can give up your wife and kids for
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: forty years and then you do a whole. Yeah, you
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: can give a wife kids for forty days and then
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: on forty day forty one, about forty it's gonna take
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: about a week. You ain't gonna believe how much money? Yeah,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: and you're gonna move your ass out that house? Do
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: you give up that high? Yeah? Not the ship show.
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: What you're giving up sugar? Probably sugar, Steve, Probably sugar
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: too much? Yeah, you'd eat too much sugar. No, but
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: I don't like to eat too much. You know, the
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: more you eat, the more you crave. You know, I've
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: already done sugar. You eat the more you crave. Yeah,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: you're getting pretty healthy. Why don't you try profanity? Giving
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: up profanity? No cussing? Oh, Steve, that's forty days. That's
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: what was only forty days? No cussing for forty days?
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: Who and where they do that? I got time? You
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: cuss five hundred? Ye Oh, No, I gotta go to
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: what but you work in radio and television. You can't
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: use profanity on the air in either place. Can do it?
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: We got a commercial? Yeah what you think commercial? Bridge
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: is cussin? So is the answer? No? No? Okay, all right,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: I'll tell you what for the rest of this show. Okay,
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: no profanity the rest of the show and tomorrow. That's
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: a good start. Yeah, let's do one day at a time. Okay,
- 1:13:41Speaker 1: no cussom no cuss? I mean, is it somewhere like damn?
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Can damn? Still be no custom Tommy? No, we see
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: right down right there, all right, just be quiet just now.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: You can't you can't see profanity about to fire off
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: a bunch of a mercher, all right, coming up at
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: twenty minutes, coming up at twenty minutes after the hour,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steven Show, all right. So,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I don't know if you guys heard about this, but
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: we're so glad to announce that our good friend and
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: family member, actress Cassie Davis, is alive and well yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: it was a whole big rumor about her death circulating
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: on social media. Cassie is probably best known from Tyler
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: Perry's hit show House of Pain and many of Tyler's
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: stage plays. Social media trolls spread the horrible rumor that
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Cassie had passed away from lung cancer. Tyler Perry officially
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: set the record straight by posting a picture of Cassie
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: with the news and in bold text, Tyler wrote, this
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: is a lie. Okay, Cassie is still with us, Thank
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the Lord. Yes, yeah, we talk. She's good. Yeah good.
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: What are these stupid rumors? How did they get life
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: like this? I love Tyler's story about Cassie just coming
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: to his house when he wasn't there, jumping in the
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: pool and just swimming. And then if Tyler would come home,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: she'd be like, what are you doing here? Tyler said,
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: this is my house, my pool. We love us, yes
- 1:15:37Speaker 1: too for as Yeah, well Tyler knows for sure. There
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: you just mess it up. Huh. Here's here's a true story.
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: People don't know. I'm Cassie years ago, used to take
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: care of winter. Wow, she's so talented too light, Yes,
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: yes she can. Well look more of the Steven Every
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: morning show coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour.
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: We'll play a round of would you rather? Right after this,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show, and it's time
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: now for a round of would you rather guys? Would
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: you rather have your ariolap piers? Okay? Or yeah your
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: ariola appears? Or would you rather have a tattoo inside
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: your lip? Which one you think would be more? What
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: is it? Tattoo? Yea any idea? No? You know we
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: gonna have to use a lot. Do you know how
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: much we can put on him? Now? I can put
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: Psalms twenty third songs on my lips. This is like
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: Shepherd the thing truly, goodness, mercy all you know? How
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: must live? You? How much lip I got? And if
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: I pull it down, boy, let me take yourself okay,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: So definitely your ariola will be pierced. All right. I
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: was a little boy. This how I knew I had
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: a big lift. I was a little born. You know
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: how you hang your head out the car when it's
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: driving sometime and it normally just take y'all breath away.
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: I almost got smothered because my lips went back up
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: over my nose and I almost got smothered like that. Yeah,
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: I can see it. Yeah, all right? Would you rather
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: have your wife ignored you for three days? Or would
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: you rather have your wife you and your wife argue
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: for three days? Ignore me, ignore met. Any man would say,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: don't like the silent treatment either, ignore me, prefer arguing both,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: and extend that three for me. You'll take six, all right?
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: Would you rather take cold showers every day or warm

- 1:18:44Speaker 1: if you want, I'm gonna take them. I'm gonna take
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: one thing about me. There's nobody, nobody ever says Steve
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: Harvey steak. If you get down to these two days,
- 1:18:55Speaker 1: you're gonna steak. Well, whatever it be first, it'll be
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: a first. But I'm not gonna be in that cold
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: alcohol long. You think I can do this? Yere? They
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: say cold showers are good for you, though, but who yeh,
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: yeah that's good. Yeah, that's good for information. All that?
