- 2:11Speaker 1: a radio show today? Is it? Everybody? Okay? On a
- 2:15Speaker 1: real positive note? Today? Is it? Today? Is the day?
- 2:21Speaker 1: You know, when I was in high school, you know,
- 2:24Speaker 1: my mother's Sunday school teaching until she passed. I would
- 2:27Speaker 1: walk out the door every morning on my way to school,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and my mother used to say, listen to me, soning, hey,
- 2:34Speaker 1: don't forget today is the day that the Lord has made.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Let us rejoice and be glad in it. And you know,
- 2:40Speaker 1: I don't think much of it. You know, it's just
- 2:42Speaker 1: my mama being religious. You know my spiritual woman. So
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, I just took it as that. But as
- 2:47Speaker 1: I've gotten older, man, you know, that's registered more and
- 2:50Speaker 1: more with me. You know, today is the day that
- 2:54Speaker 1: the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad
- 2:57Speaker 1: in it. That's pretty cool, man, I mean, what better
- 3:00Speaker 1: blessing will you get throughout the day than the fact
- 3:05Speaker 1: that he allowed you to live and see another day.
- 3:08Speaker 1: See sometimes, Man, when you're young, you don't pay no
- 3:11Speaker 1: attention to that. But all you got to do is
- 3:14Speaker 1: keep living, keep watching some people that you know not
- 3:19Speaker 1: be here anymore, go to class reunions and they're smaller.
- 3:25Speaker 1: See people that you really loved. It meant a lot
- 3:27Speaker 1: till you leave this world, and all of a sudden, man,
- 3:32Speaker 1: immortality starts to matter a great deal to you. Some
- 3:37Speaker 1: of us learned this lessons sooner than others. But I know,
- 3:41Speaker 1: when you're young, man, you know, you think you're gonna
- 3:43Speaker 1: be here for a while. You think you've got time
- 3:44Speaker 1: to play around. You think you've got time to get
- 3:47Speaker 1: it together, You got time to make the mistakes, and
- 3:49Speaker 1: you've got time to chill. But man, oh man, almost
- 3:53Speaker 1: every full blown adult that I know will tell you
- 3:56Speaker 1: and have said these words right here many times, And
- 3:59Speaker 1: I I want to the reason I'm saying this because
- 4:01Speaker 1: I want you to hear him, because you're gonna use them. Man,
- 4:05Speaker 1: if I only knew then what I know now. Do
- 4:08Speaker 1: you know how many people have said those words right there?
- 4:13Speaker 1: Because in time, man, you gained so much wisdom. Oh
- 4:17Speaker 1: but it ain't like nobody didn't tell you though. See
- 4:20Speaker 1: that's the hooker. Somebody told you back then. Hey man,
- 4:24Speaker 1: it's best to buckle down now, he said, Hey man,
- 4:26Speaker 1: you better quit wasting time. Hey man, don't stop taking
- 4:30Speaker 1: your foot off the gas pedal. Hey look, do your
- 4:33Speaker 1: best at all the times. You know, stop stop worrying
- 4:36Speaker 1: about that. I'm telling your son. In a minute, them
- 4:38Speaker 1: clubs ain't gonna mean nothing to you. In a minute,
- 4:41Speaker 1: they're going out all the time, ain't gonna mean nothing
- 4:43Speaker 1: to you. I can't tell you how many times I
- 4:46Speaker 1: heard all of it. I can't tell it to you.
- 4:48Speaker 1: I can't tell you how many times I repeat it
- 4:50Speaker 1: to my kids. But man, today is a different day,
- 4:55Speaker 1: because the day is the day that the Lord has made.
- 4:58Speaker 1: So he gave you a shot to day. If you
- 5:00Speaker 1: if you woke up this morning, or if you're finishing
- 5:03Speaker 1: your day on your shift. He gave you a new day,
- 5:06Speaker 1: nothing bigger than the fact that he woke you up today. Now,
- 5:11Speaker 1: why don't you do something about that? Why don't you
- 5:14Speaker 1: take advantage of it? How about today? How about if
- 5:17Speaker 1: you start today? How about if you stop hesitating today?
- 5:20Speaker 1: How about if you stop delaying it today? How about
- 5:23Speaker 1: if you stop procrastinating today. How About if you make
- 5:25Speaker 1: today to day that you go forward? I mean, man,
- 5:28Speaker 1: let's all just decide today, let's go forward. Let's put
- 5:32Speaker 1: forth a maximum effort today. How about today? I mean, really, man,
- 5:37Speaker 1: what you're doing? You look, man, take advantage of this
- 5:40Speaker 1: blessing of waking up. Do something today. So many people
- 5:46Speaker 1: are in the indulge ms of life, or living in
- 5:49Speaker 1: a rut, or just merely existing instead of thriving simply
- 5:53Speaker 1: because of one one thing. You just won't do it today?
- 5:59Speaker 1: If you would start the process, man, start that business
- 6:02Speaker 1: you always dreamed of. Go looking to that other job
- 6:05Speaker 1: you always yearn for. Go get the training you need
- 6:08Speaker 1: to get the promotion. Man, going back to school, Man,
- 6:11Speaker 1: go see what you need to do to lift yourself
- 6:14Speaker 1: to the next level. Stop waking up every day seeing
- 6:18Speaker 1: high it's gonna go and start waking up and do
- 6:20Speaker 1: something about how it goes. If you make one step,
- 6:23Speaker 1: he'll make two. But you can people people talk about
- 6:26Speaker 1: all the time. Man, it seems like you're always getting
- 6:28Speaker 1: a blessing. Oh man, when you're talking to a person,
- 6:31Speaker 1: listen to this. If you're talking to a person and
- 6:33Speaker 1: it seems like there's always a blessing coming his way,
- 6:37Speaker 1: let me tell you what that person doing. That person
- 6:39Speaker 1: is putting one foot in front of the next. That
- 6:42Speaker 1: person is putting forth some efforts out there. And that's
- 6:45Speaker 1: the only way God can bless you. God can only
- 6:48Speaker 1: bless you with your efforts. He can only put his
- 6:51Speaker 1: finger on the thing that you are doing or attempting.
- 6:57Speaker 1: That's all he can help you with. He that know,
- 7:00Speaker 1: jobs walking up to your door, knocking on your door.
- 7:03Speaker 1: But if you're beating the payment, if you're sending in
- 7:05Speaker 1: the apps, if you online scouring somewhere to work, somewhere
- 7:08Speaker 1: to get a job, then God can touch somebody's hard
- 7:11Speaker 1: to hire you. But if you're sitting at the house
- 7:14Speaker 1: every day, smoke everyday, drinking, but you wonder why you
- 7:18Speaker 1: just can't get a job. A couple of times you
- 7:20Speaker 1: don't want out there. You got to. If you ain't
- 7:22Speaker 1: got a job, you gotta look get go, get one.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Every day. You got to go look for one every
- 7:26Speaker 1: single day. You can't take no days off. How about today?
- 7:30Speaker 1: How about today? If we decide today is the day
- 7:34Speaker 1: that we're gonna make the move. Today is the day
- 7:36Speaker 1: that we stopped delaying, hesitating, procrastinating. Today is the day
- 7:40Speaker 1: that we take a step in the direction to do
- 7:42Speaker 1: something for ourselves, for our lives, for our family, for
- 7:45Speaker 1: our wives, for our children, for our community, for our school.
- 7:49Speaker 1: Do something today, for crying out loud, man, stop sitting
- 7:54Speaker 1: in your own life in just a stew of misery
- 7:58Speaker 1: in your own life. I'm gonna tell you something. If
- 8:01Speaker 1: you are in a state of confusion, if you are troubling,
- 8:05Speaker 1: if you're stuck on what to do next, you let
- 8:07Speaker 1: me tell you what's happening. You're not doing enough. That's
- 8:11Speaker 1: what it is. Man. See when I get in a place, man,
- 8:15Speaker 1: where I don't know what the next move is, it's
- 8:19Speaker 1: because I've unusually stalled out. See, this is the way
- 8:22Speaker 1: God works. This is the way He's worked for me.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Every time I'm busy and I'm about the business of
- 8:28Speaker 1: always trying to live my creed, which is ABC. My
- 8:32Speaker 1: My motto is ABC always be closing. I'm always working
- 8:36Speaker 1: on something, something to close something. When you're so busy
- 8:41Speaker 1: with the business of improving yourself and doing with yourself
- 8:45Speaker 1: and becoming the best you you can be, God is
- 8:48Speaker 1: always working on your behalf, behind some scene or something
- 8:53Speaker 1: that you're in the process of tempting to close. But
- 8:57Speaker 1: because you're not doing all you can do, you're limiting
- 9:02Speaker 1: you you are because of your decision not to give
- 9:04Speaker 1: you all in all, you're limiting the opportunities for God
- 9:08Speaker 1: to put his finger on things and touch them on
- 9:10Speaker 1: your behalf. I don't know if the average person really
- 9:15Speaker 1: understands or knows what it takes to truly be successful
- 9:20Speaker 1: or whatever level you're talking about. But whatever that level is,
- 9:24Speaker 1: I don't care what a dollar amount you've got attached
- 9:26Speaker 1: to it, what level you got, if you have made
- 9:29Speaker 1: the decision that you're going to be successful, I think
- 9:32Speaker 1: that a lot of people, the average person does not
- 9:35Speaker 1: know what that means. Whatever level you've decided to be
- 9:39Speaker 1: successful on, See, that's your level of faith, that's where
- 9:42Speaker 1: you see your life at. Well, guess what you got
- 9:46Speaker 1: to maximize your efforts to even get to that level.
- 9:50Speaker 1: So listen to me. If you want to be successful
- 9:53Speaker 1: at your church, if you want to be successful in
- 9:55Speaker 1: your relationship, if you want to be successful down at
- 9:58Speaker 1: the day cancer, if you want to be so sucessful
- 10:00Speaker 1: at your college, if you want to be successful on
- 10:03Speaker 1: your job, guess what it's gonna take all you got
- 10:08Speaker 1: in that world to become a success. I don't know
- 10:11Speaker 1: why people think that. If you don't want to be
- 10:14Speaker 1: where somebody else said, you ain't gotta put forth that effort. Now,
- 10:17Speaker 1: no act wrong. You've got to put forth your maximum
- 10:21Speaker 1: effort at whatever role you're trying to accomplish. Lord have mercy. Man.
- 10:26Speaker 1: How about today, though, y'all? How about today? Today is
- 10:29Speaker 1: a good one. Let's make today today. Let's get out
- 10:32Speaker 1: of that. Let's get on with it. Stop hesitating, stop delaying,
- 10:36Speaker 1: stop procrastinating, start today. Watch God have something to put
- 10:41Speaker 1: his finger on there. And that's all you're trying to do. Man,
- 10:45Speaker 1: to line yourself up with God's grace, you gotta put
- 10:48Speaker 1: out a lot of effort so God can put his
- 10:50Speaker 1: finger on something. You feel me today, I shall hope
- 10:53Speaker 1: you do, because I'm on one today. Let's go to show.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Find everybody. You're about to listen to the baddest morning

- 11:55Speaker 1: leave that for one second. I'll figure this out. I'll
- 11:58Speaker 1: figure this out. If you were on a television show,
- 12:01Speaker 1: you got to come to work. But if you have
- 12:03Speaker 1: a television show, you ain't got to come to work.
- 12:06Speaker 1: That's it. That's it, that's it. J All these stars yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:18Speaker 1: with TV shows, they out they're not hit. That's Jay.

- 12:26Speaker 1: show and he's not here. Steve got what seventy two
- 12:29Speaker 1: shows and he's not a minimum minimum a minimum of
- 12:33Speaker 1: seven Steve the day off. Yeah, I mean I saw
- 12:37Speaker 1: Tommy show, good job, Ready to love like that, So
- 12:43Speaker 1: proud of him, and I love the show. What what
- 12:45Speaker 1: they're talking about is grown people. They're sexy. They're not
- 12:49Speaker 1: in it for the games, not at all, not at all.
- 12:53Speaker 1: This is not a game. You come, correct or don't come.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Dudes don't like talking at the time. They get scared
- 12:59Speaker 1: Tommy with that voice, but that didn want me tell you.
- 13:03Speaker 1: And when I found myself what I found myself usually
- 13:06Speaker 1: not liking it. Shows that put people together. I mean,
- 13:09Speaker 1: why am I liking it? Lets you should go on there, Jay,
- 13:14Speaker 1: you and you and Junior. No, they ain't going and
- 13:17Speaker 1: they can't find a group old enough women. It ain't
- 13:20Speaker 1: gonna be twa would be six older guys. Don't like
- 13:23Speaker 1: older women. You know, he got six choices, But I
- 13:30Speaker 1: don't want to go on the old women. But we
- 13:37Speaker 1: are very happy for Time Own Network ten nine Central
- 13:42Speaker 1: on Tuesday and Tuesdays, and then they're gonna play it
- 13:45Speaker 1: again on Saturday. Yeah, tomorrow, Joy out you already and
- 13:51Speaker 1: got brand new. Man called him on his phone listen,
- 13:53Speaker 1: doesn't message brand Oh my god. He calls Oprah Winfrey.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Oh oh, he calls her. Oh, I don't believe it.
- 14:01Speaker 1: And Gail don't even call Oprah win for you. Oh.
- 14:06Speaker 1: And then he tells Steve to call him Thomas Miles.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Now he can't even call him. Oh my goodness. And
- 14:14Speaker 1: let me get some see if I don't damn change,
- 14:16Speaker 1: I'm changing. He had a show for five minutes though.
- 14:19Speaker 1: All right, listen coming up at thirty two after the hour, guys,
- 14:22Speaker 1: A nationwide man hunt is underway for the pipe bombs
- 14:26Speaker 1: suspect or suspects. All right, we'll talk about that. You're
- 14:30Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show. All right? Uh this story man,
- 14:36Speaker 1: A nationwide manhunt is underway for whoever sent packages with
- 14:40Speaker 1: suspected pipe bombs to former President Obama and President Clinton,
- 14:44Speaker 1: vice President Joe Biden, former Attorney General Eric Holder, Congresswoman
- 14:48Speaker 1: Maxine Waters, and now actor Robert de Niro has become
- 14:52Speaker 1: the latest recipient of a suspicious package, setting off a
- 14:55Speaker 1: bomb scare at its New York Uh, the Tribeca Film Offices,
- 15:00Speaker 1: the law enforcement say the package, which is similar to
- 15:03Speaker 1: the pipe bombs mailed um, you know yesterday to top
- 15:06Speaker 1: Democrats and CNN offices. De Niro like other targets of
- 15:10Speaker 1: the explosive devices. Um, he's been very vocal about, you know,
- 15:15Speaker 1: his dislike for our current president. So, I mean it's
- 15:20Speaker 1: something like the last count I heard him, the news
- 15:22Speaker 1: was like like tin bonds then sent to people who
- 15:26Speaker 1: criticized Trump or said things about Trump, and uh, they're scaring.
- 15:31Speaker 1: They haven't found out who's doing it yet, but they're
- 15:33Speaker 1: gonna find them. They find him, You're right. Congresswoman Maxine
- 15:37Speaker 1: Waters came out and yeah, she said, like the young
- 15:40Speaker 1: folks say, she ended it with this I skirt. Yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 1: right right, you can check out her video. Yeah, we're
- 15:52Speaker 1: still going to vote. That's right. That's right. There were
- 15:56Speaker 1: all Democrats, uh so far, and I mean it looks
- 16:01Speaker 1: very suspected. It just does. I hope they find them.
- 16:03Speaker 1: And I'm so glad and thankful no one has been hurt.
- 16:07Speaker 1: You know that that that is the thing. And and
- 16:09Speaker 1: like I think you said this yesterday, Carla, you know,
- 16:12Speaker 1: thank God for all the first responders in the male
- 16:15Speaker 1: room people and everyone who the couriers, everyone who's involved
- 16:19Speaker 1: in this whole thing. That that could hurt. Yeah, security,
- 16:23Speaker 1: all of that. Yeah that could have gotten hurt that didn't.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Thank God for that. But this is just a horrible
- 16:30Speaker 1: time we're living in in in the world, in our
- 16:33Speaker 1: country especially, you know. And the other thing is the
- 16:36Speaker 1: president needs to own up to all the hatred that
- 16:38Speaker 1: he's saying in his rallies and stuff like that. And
- 16:40Speaker 1: he was roused people up. People. I'm not saying anybody
- 16:44Speaker 1: who attended his rallies um or making these pipe bones,
- 16:48Speaker 1: but it doesn't help when he's saying some of the
- 16:50Speaker 1: stuff that he says at his rally. It just makes people.
- 16:53Speaker 1: You know, it divides the country, is what he's doing. Man, absolutely, absolutely,
- 16:58Speaker 1: and stop blaming the media. Uh, just you know, say
- 17:01Speaker 1: something that will bring that, will you. You use the
- 17:03Speaker 1: word unify the other day, Say something that will actually
- 17:06Speaker 1: unify the country. You know, say that we're going to
- 17:10Speaker 1: you know, you're working very hard to keep us safe
- 17:13Speaker 1: and you know, send out maybe a personal message to
- 17:15Speaker 1: the ex presidents and things like that. I mean, you know,
- 17:18Speaker 1: get them more into it to act like you really,
- 17:21Speaker 1: you know, are concerned about this. Officials have said. The
- 17:25Speaker 1: packages with pipe bombs were all a similar in appearance,
- 17:29Speaker 1: Manila envelopes with bubble wrap interior, each with six forever
- 17:33Speaker 1: stans uh fixed computer printed address labels and misspelled words,
- 17:39Speaker 1: and a return address belonging to a Florida office for
- 17:42Speaker 1: Democratic US Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Meanwhile, President Trump is
- 17:47Speaker 1: blaming the victim. One day after the bomb was mailed
- 17:49Speaker 1: to one of the nation's largest news media outlets, the
- 17:52Speaker 1: President blame the media, urging the fake news to clean
- 17:55Speaker 1: up his act or continue to face the anger. He claimed,
- 17:59Speaker 1: the media has created okay them again and yeah, yeah again. Yeah.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You know, he says one thing yesterday, and you know,
- 18:11Speaker 1: the day before he was in the White House, he
- 18:13Speaker 1: says one thing. And then he gets to those rallies
- 18:16Speaker 1: because he's going to be in Charlotte tonight, and he
- 18:19Speaker 1: gets to these rallies, and then he just changed. It
- 18:23Speaker 1: just gets And it's hard to talk about unity when
- 18:25Speaker 1: every most of the people that understand look like you.
- 18:29Speaker 1: You're not really uniting people when you do that. It
- 18:32Speaker 1: just I mean, some of us up there listening to him,
- 18:34Speaker 1: but for the most part, it's people who look like him.
- 18:37Speaker 1: You're not reaching out to people who don't look like you.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Is about absolutely and you're the president of all people.
- 18:44Speaker 1: And if you're sitting around wondering, oh my god, what
- 18:46Speaker 1: are we gonna do? There's nothing I can do. No,
- 18:48Speaker 1: there is something you can do. You can get out
- 18:51Speaker 1: November six, or even before, do early voting, and get
- 18:55Speaker 1: out and vote and show that you care and let
- 18:57Speaker 1: them know that you know. You're out change and you
- 19:00Speaker 1: don't want what's going on in the country to continue
- 19:03Speaker 1: to go on. Use your power. Your power is in
- 19:07Speaker 1: your vote, all right, Your power is in your vote.
- 19:10Speaker 1: You know anything about your history, and a lot of
- 19:12Speaker 1: our audience does, of course. But you know people have
- 19:15Speaker 1: died for our right to vote. They really have. I mean, yeah, yeah,
- 19:21Speaker 1: I mean it should be your obligation. Yeah, that's right,
- 19:27Speaker 1: that's your civic duty that you know. That is your voice.
- 19:31Speaker 1: That is your voice. You may not see a change
- 19:33Speaker 1: right now today with your vote, but continue voting because
- 19:36Speaker 1: trust me, they always discount us at the polls, you know,
- 19:39Speaker 1: especially during mid term elections. And this is the most
- 19:43Speaker 1: one of the most important election elections in our lifetime
- 19:46Speaker 1: right here. Um. Yeah, So November six, and if you
- 19:50Speaker 1: don't vote until November six. Take this time to go
- 19:54Speaker 1: over your your voting ballot, because they send those two
- 19:57Speaker 1: you in the mail. You know, you can look at that.
- 20:00Speaker 1: You can educate yourself to see who's on the ballot
- 20:04Speaker 1: and see what what you agree with and what you don't.
- 20:07Speaker 1: That's your You can do that. You can take that
- 20:09Speaker 1: ballot that you get in the mail, you can take
- 20:11Speaker 1: that into the polls with you. You know, when I
- 20:14Speaker 1: look at this as man, I wish I want to
- 20:15Speaker 1: pay more attention in civics class. I didn't like all
- 20:21Speaker 1: they talk about that. Yeah, absolutely, well, you know something,
- 20:29Speaker 1: and it's not too late. It's not too late. In fact,
- 20:32Speaker 1: I'm voting today. Actually, yeah today. I said I was
- 20:36Speaker 1: going to vote today as well, because I wouldn't gonna wait.
- 20:38Speaker 1: I want to get it over. I do not want
- 20:40Speaker 1: to wait till the last minute. You're absolutely right, I
- 20:42Speaker 1: said earlier. I would do before the end of the week.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I don't be doing. I would have a bowl of
- 20:48Speaker 1: popcorn and some soda watching results coming. Yes, right, I'm
- 20:53Speaker 1: calling it. I'm driving for people to the poll. Take
- 20:55Speaker 1: about it. Yeah, that's right. And you know we're no
- 20:59Speaker 1: for up in the House we're looking for our cockies.
- 21:01Speaker 1: But there's different time, alright, so let's get yeah, please,
- 21:05Speaker 1: let's pleep. We don't want to, you know, come back
- 21:08Speaker 1: the day after Tuesday, November six and say, oh man,
- 21:11Speaker 1: I mean yeah, we don't want to do that. Okay,
- 21:14Speaker 1: all right, get down and vote up. Next, power ball
- 21:16Speaker 1: is up to seven hundred and twenty million dollars. We'll
- 21:20Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening to the
- 21:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve's out today, Tommy's
- 21:27Speaker 1: out today. The crew is here though, holding it down
- 21:30Speaker 1: as always. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:33Speaker 1: Megan Kelly has been fired from NBC. Yeah they finally, yeah, yeah,
- 21:42Speaker 1: but right now, first, here we go again. Uh, lottery players,
- 21:46Speaker 1: there was no big winner and Wednesday night's power ball drawing,
- 21:50Speaker 1: so that means Saturday's jackpot is expected to tally about
- 21:54Speaker 1: seven hundred and fifty million dollars. Let's go okay, million dollars. Alright,
- 22:00Speaker 1: that's not I'm gonna use my check for beal now,
- 22:04Speaker 1: I got to b tickets. The whole entire check I
- 22:09Speaker 1: didn't play for for the Mega millions. I'm going to
- 22:12Speaker 1: play for this one. I'm gonna go and get some tickets.
- 22:14Speaker 1: I am not going to be a nice person if
- 22:17Speaker 1: I and he's not gonna have it. We'll see how
- 22:19Speaker 1: I am not. I'm going to intensify it. God, Oh,
- 22:23Speaker 1: you're gonna be bitter. Bitter. I'm gonna change my name
- 22:27Speaker 1: to bitterman. But you know that's what Steve says, Jay.
- 22:33Speaker 1: Money only makes you more of who you really are. No, Chris,
- 22:39Speaker 1: you'll be rich alright. So seven d and fifty million
- 22:46Speaker 1: dollars for Saturday's jack pot, you guys, that should put
- 22:48Speaker 1: it among the top four jack potts in US lottery history.
- 22:52Speaker 1: This week's one point five billion with a B dollar
- 22:55Speaker 1: Mega millions jack pott is the largest in world history,
- 22:59Speaker 1: and now the Saturday's drawing will be the second largest
- 23:02Speaker 1: powerball jack pot ever. It's largest the two thousand sixteen jackpot,
- 23:07Speaker 1: which rose um to one point five eight billion with
- 23:10Speaker 1: the B back in two thousand sixteen. A lot of money.
- 23:15Speaker 1: Do you know the biggest argument people have about the
- 23:17Speaker 1: powerball winning the lottery? It is arguments that they would
- 23:22Speaker 1: what they would do with the money if they won.
- 23:26Speaker 1: So two people who don't have any money get into
- 23:30Speaker 1: a full a full damn argument about what they would
- 23:35Speaker 1: do if they want the money. Like if I said,
- 23:37Speaker 1: well I'd win twenty million and I'd give you a million,
- 23:40Speaker 1: then the other person that's all you gonna give me.
- 23:45Speaker 1: We just have that argument with Steve the other day. Millions.
- 23:51Speaker 1: There's some truth. A lot of knock in your France
- 23:55Speaker 1: is third grade all, but what did you have for
- 23:59Speaker 1: that million? The money it's changing hands and I don't
- 24:04Speaker 1: They didn't even play probably, but you know what it does.
- 24:07Speaker 1: What it doesn't lets people know how you really feel
- 24:10Speaker 1: about them, if you could do something for them. That's
- 24:12Speaker 1: probably what they really get mad about. Oh that's all
- 24:14Speaker 1: you give me. The fake money that you don't have
- 24:17Speaker 1: is a million, that's all you give me. And then
- 24:19Speaker 1: the argument is one I just don't want to end
- 24:22Speaker 1: up if I do. When the lottery, I just didn't
- 24:25Speaker 1: want to end up on that show. What's that show, Carla?
- 24:27Speaker 1: The lottery changed my life? Where I got broken after
- 24:30Speaker 1: winning the lottery? How they lost it all? I just
- 24:34Speaker 1: didn't want to end up on one of those shows.
- 24:38Speaker 1: Who was a girl who want the lottery and her
- 24:40Speaker 1: boyfriends just took all the money she kept building. He
- 24:42Speaker 1: didn't take all of that. I know what you're talking about,
- 24:46Speaker 1: him out of jail and stuff like that. Yeah, right,
- 24:50Speaker 1: paid his bail, he went back to jail. She failed
- 24:52Speaker 1: about again. All her money went to the state. Peam.
- 24:57Speaker 1: I don't see the news. Not they here. Now he
- 25:00Speaker 1: don't need all that. That just don't make no damn.
- 25:06Speaker 1: That's gonna be about these guys that worked at this hospital.
- 25:10Speaker 1: It was in New Jersey, like around the Philly area.
- 25:14Speaker 1: So a hundred and forty two of them put in
- 25:16Speaker 1: to buy tickets for the Mega million jack pot and
- 25:20Speaker 1: they want so it's about seven thousand dollars a piece. Yeah, yeah,
- 25:27Speaker 1: that's nice. Well, yeah, I didn't see this. Did you
- 25:33Speaker 1: see this? Um Jay or Junior um uh California? About
- 25:38Speaker 1: eight people one a million dollars in the Mega millions. Well,
- 25:41Speaker 1: I wasn't gonna satan how much you're gonna give me?
- 25:45Speaker 1: You were one of the one man. The fact that
- 25:49Speaker 1: Junior has been at work all this week's let me
- 25:51Speaker 1: know he ain't wondering. You don't know, you don't have information.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Let me tell you what the funniest. The funniest one
- 25:59Speaker 1: is the guy who in the lottery. This happened years
- 26:02Speaker 1: ago and He had his wife and his girlfriend both
- 26:06Speaker 1: standing up there as he I think he won like
- 26:08Speaker 1: maybe five million. You ever see that guy, He had
- 26:10Speaker 1: his wife and his girlfriend because they were like neither
- 26:13Speaker 1: one of them leaving. He had seen both of them
- 26:14Speaker 1: on the side. It was a black guy. Yeah, black guy.
- 26:19Speaker 1: But since he won the lottery, they were like, I
- 26:20Speaker 1: ain't even I ain't even either, yea both. Yeah, you
- 26:30Speaker 1: can put up with a lot when somebody got a
- 26:31Speaker 1: whole bunch of money. Huh yeah, one, they ain't even leave.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Got you down here too, Yeah, we ain't gonna trip
- 26:50Speaker 1: for what why? I think he was on that show. Yeah,
- 26:54Speaker 1: I went bankrupt after winning. I think he was on
- 26:58Speaker 1: that s What do people do with the money after
- 27:00Speaker 1: they went? Like? What is what? Takes them out? So fake?
- 27:03Speaker 1: Because they find everything everything houses, cars, and then relatives
- 27:10Speaker 1: and friends come out of the would work, so they
- 27:12Speaker 1: give it away. They think it's going to last forever.
- 27:15Speaker 1: But there has to be some planning involved, you know,
- 27:17Speaker 1: so that that's got to be the first thing you do.
- 27:19Speaker 1: Get a financial planner, someone that knows and respects money.
- 27:24Speaker 1: You have to do that. You we know people that
- 27:27Speaker 1: win like a thousand dollars and then twenty minutes it's gone.
- 27:31Speaker 1: So you know, if they get that much money, you
- 27:33Speaker 1: know that's true. I mean the first time I made
- 27:35Speaker 1: the thousand dollars telling jokes. Uh, it was on BT
- 27:38Speaker 1: and they paid me in cash and I was in
- 27:41Speaker 1: New Orleans by the time I went to bate, I
- 27:43Speaker 1: had about them. When did you find just buying drink? Yes, yeah,
- 27:52Speaker 1: I got a doll sit it down here, that'd be
- 27:54Speaker 1: okay back like seven six to five dollars. Man. You know,
- 28:01Speaker 1: if you don't know what you're doing with money, it'll
- 28:03Speaker 1: go through your hands really quick, really really really really
- 28:06Speaker 1: really will But it was good. I remember one time,
- 28:13Speaker 1: um I took my mom. We were in Vegas, and
- 28:16Speaker 1: UM I took my mom just to the casinos. I
- 28:18Speaker 1: wanted her to have a good time. She had never
- 28:20Speaker 1: been before, so I wanted her to have a good time.
- 28:22Speaker 1: So I gave her like a hundred dollars. Because I'm
- 28:24Speaker 1: not a gambler or anything, because my limit is twenty.
- 28:27Speaker 1: But you know, I wanted to impress my mom, so
- 28:29Speaker 1: I gave her a hundred dollars so she could just
- 28:31Speaker 1: gamble and have a good time. If she lost, that's okay.
- 28:34Speaker 1: You know I could spare a hundred dollars. She was like, insulted,
- 28:38Speaker 1: I'm not spending a hundred dollars. She was so mad
- 28:41Speaker 1: at me. All it is, You've given me a whole
- 28:46Speaker 1: hundred dollars just to do. Mom, It's just no, she
- 28:49Speaker 1: have a good time. She didn't do it, though she
- 28:52Speaker 1: want she didn't do it. She was like insulted that
- 28:55Speaker 1: I gave her a hundred dollars. I'm gonna just come
- 28:58Speaker 1: throw it away my grandmother, and you could have gave
- 29:00Speaker 1: her back, like I need a little bit more. My
- 29:07Speaker 1: mom was like, oh man, gosh, no, man, I'm might
- 29:11Speaker 1: would have been back to twenty minutes. That's how you
- 29:13Speaker 1: got that, man. Yeah, my family we come from gambler. Yeah,
- 29:18Speaker 1: you gamble. That's the worst thing when you gambling and
- 29:21Speaker 1: the person you're sponsoring gambling. But they got a quick like,
- 29:26Speaker 1: how you doing. I'm kind of down right now. What
- 29:29Speaker 1: you want? I need another hunt? What did you do
- 29:32Speaker 1: the hunter? I just gave Oh that's gone. We got
- 29:34Speaker 1: a nothing that's gone. I would have given it to her,
- 29:37Speaker 1: but she didn't want. She didn't want any parts of that.
- 29:40Speaker 1: She thought of all the things she could do with
- 29:42Speaker 1: that three hundred dollars and it wasn't It didn't have
- 29:44Speaker 1: anything to do with that casino. So girl, we're going
- 29:47Speaker 1: down here to this rocket Burger, get somebody burgers. She
- 29:54Speaker 1: was gonna get her hair done, whatever, but she wasn't
- 29:57Speaker 1: gonna spend it in that casino. That would be me.
- 30:00Speaker 1: I would never gamble in if the head shoes coming
- 30:02Speaker 1: out of that because I ain't none, I won't, I don't,
- 30:06Speaker 1: I can't chancey my limit. J All right, coming up
- 30:10Speaker 1: at the top of the hour, Entertainment News. We'll be
- 30:13Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 30:16Speaker 1: Morning Show coming up in twenty minutes. Guys, twenty minutes
- 30:22Speaker 1: after the hour, we're gonna talk about the fiery debate
- 30:24Speaker 1: between Florida's gubermatorial candidates, Mayor Andrew Gillim and his Republican candidate,
- 30:29Speaker 1: his Republican counterpart, ron De Santos. That's who President Trump
- 30:34Speaker 1: is backing. Did I say toast that was a Freudian slip? Right?
- 30:40Speaker 1: But first first, and Today's entertainment news. Megan Kelly, uh,
- 30:45Speaker 1: you know from the um she comes on after the
- 30:48Speaker 1: Today Show on NBC, but her show is canceled after
- 30:52Speaker 1: her controversial comments about black face people. Magazine is reporting
- 30:57Speaker 1: that executives at NBC are contacting the staff and reassigning
- 31:01Speaker 1: everyone today. So that's good news. At least you know
- 31:04Speaker 1: they won't be out of work because Megan Kelly is now.
- 31:07Speaker 1: Everyone's being told they still have a home there, but
- 31:10Speaker 1: it won't be on Megan's show. According to TMZ, NBC
- 31:14Speaker 1: was paying her twenty five million dollars a year. I
- 31:16Speaker 1: remember when she got a contract. I remember that. Yeah,
- 31:19Speaker 1: when he left. When she left Box, she was saying
- 31:23Speaker 1: that when she was little, she went out in black
- 31:26Speaker 1: face and it was okay. They were She was having
- 31:28Speaker 1: a round table if you dress For those that didn't
- 31:33Speaker 1: hear it, but well, well, what is racist? Because because truly,
- 31:37Speaker 1: you do get in trouble if you are a white
- 31:38Speaker 1: person who puts on back Halloween or a black person
- 31:41Speaker 1: who puts on white face for Halloween. Like back when
- 31:44Speaker 1: I was a kid, that was okay as long as
- 31:46Speaker 1: you were dressing me. But it's like a character. If
- 31:48Speaker 1: somebody feels like something is offensive to them, then you
- 31:50Speaker 1: should say it. And that's fair game. And you're gonna
- 31:53Speaker 1: dress up, you gotta be able to take it. One
- 31:55Speaker 1: of the things they mentioned is people dressing up like Nazis,
- 31:57Speaker 1: and is if you think it's offense, it it probably
- 32:02Speaker 1: I mean it was fast, ja, But Megan Kelly said
- 32:06Speaker 1: she did it as a child and it was okay,
- 32:09Speaker 1: and she got a lot of BackFlash on social media.
- 32:12Speaker 1: She wrote an email to her colleagues at work, and
- 32:15Speaker 1: then she apologized that yesterday public apologies to the viewers.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Didn't really think it's something she said she should lose
- 32:23Speaker 1: her job for me, well, I mean black face, you
- 32:28Speaker 1: know what that represents? Yeah, yeah, yeah. And the fact
- 32:34Speaker 1: that she didn't know that and she said that, and
- 32:37Speaker 1: you know, yeah, it's like, come on, now, you know,
- 32:39Speaker 1: how do you know all this other stuff and you
- 32:41Speaker 1: don't know that. My thing is that we're in the
- 32:44Speaker 1: we're in the words business, and when you're in the
- 32:46Speaker 1: words business, there's a lot of times you're gonna say
- 32:48Speaker 1: stuff that you shouldn't say. So maybe the first offense,
- 32:51Speaker 1: maybe you should be suspended without paid. But to lose
- 32:55Speaker 1: your job is that is just to me, it's kind
- 32:58Speaker 1: of that's kind of hard. Here's the thing too, here's
- 33:00Speaker 1: the problem that I had with the panel you were
- 33:02Speaker 1: talking about a black black face comments on a on
- 33:05Speaker 1: a panel with all white people, so you know, like
- 33:11Speaker 1: Shirley says she's an expert on everything, and then you know,
- 33:15Speaker 1: you go and say something like that, it's just it
- 33:19Speaker 1: was too far and it was fine, yeah, right right,
- 33:26Speaker 1: it was like one of those crazy flippant remarks. It
- 33:29Speaker 1: ain never been fine. You made that the key just
- 33:31Speaker 1: black face, and it was so your whole neighborhood just
- 33:36Speaker 1: back faces. We had no costumes, but that's a whole
- 33:38Speaker 1: different story. And then but you just realize that it's offensive.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Come on now that anyway? Alright, Well, NBC was paying
- 33:48Speaker 1: her million dollars a year, like I said in the
- 33:50Speaker 1: network may end up settling for close to fifty million.
- 33:53Speaker 1: So she's she's still winning. She's still winning. All right, Uh,
- 33:58Speaker 1: time for today's headlines. Come and J introduced his time
- 34:02Speaker 1: from his and trip with the News and thank you
- 34:05Speaker 1: very much everybody, and good morning. Well. As the man
- 34:08Speaker 1: hunt continues to find the person of persons responsible for
- 34:11Speaker 1: sending at least ten possibly explosive packages to people who
- 34:15Speaker 1: either criticized President Trump or who are criticized by the guy,
- 34:18Speaker 1: fellow authorities announcedaid to have the I was trained on
- 34:21Speaker 1: southern Cape Florida, specifically Miami Dade County, believing that a
- 34:25Speaker 1: number of the suspicious packages were mailed from that area
- 34:28Speaker 1: and processed by postal facilities there. According to Reuter's News service,
- 34:32Speaker 1: all the devices featured the same return address that a
- 34:34Speaker 1: representative Debbie Wassonman Schultz. He's a fall of Florida Democrat
- 34:38Speaker 1: and former head of the Democratic National Committee. President Trump
- 34:42Speaker 1: tamped down all that partisan rhetoric for a while anyway,
- 34:45Speaker 1: after the first explosive devices were found, but he has
- 34:48Speaker 1: since changed his tune, or let's say he's going back
- 34:50Speaker 1: to the old tune. He's attacked the media again, this
- 34:53Speaker 1: time while addressing a rally yesterday in Wisconsin. The media
- 34:56Speaker 1: also has a responsibility to set a of all tone
- 35:01Speaker 1: and to stop the endless hostility and constant negative and
- 35:06Speaker 1: oftentimes false attacks and stories. Have to do it. After
- 35:13Speaker 1: and no surprise, White House spokesperson Sarah's Huckabee Sanders insists
- 35:17Speaker 1: that her boss is being treated unfairly. Again, continue to
- 35:20Speaker 1: focus only on the negative, and there is a role
- 35:23Speaker 1: to play. Yesterday, the very first thing that the President
- 35:25Speaker 1: did was come out and condemned the violence. The very
- 35:28Speaker 1: first thing your network did was come out and accused
- 35:31Speaker 1: the president of being responsible for it. That is not okay.
- 35:34Speaker 1: The first thing should have been to condemn the violence. Meanwhile,
- 35:37Speaker 1: none of the bomb like devices has exploded. That's a
- 35:39Speaker 1: good thing. Nervousness though over the ones found, has led
- 35:42Speaker 1: to some false alarms, but authorities are still urging Americans
- 35:45Speaker 1: to be vigilant. Report any package that have visible wires
- 35:49Speaker 1: or stains, or unusual markings with a lot of postage
- 35:52Speaker 1: stamps on them, a lot of tape. Anything he looks
- 35:53Speaker 1: really really you know, strange and bumpy and stuff like that.
- 35:56Speaker 1: You should still report it, okay. The eldest son of
- 36:00Speaker 1: the brutally murdered dissident Saudi journalists Camalkas Yoji, has finally
- 36:03Speaker 1: been allowed to leave the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and
- 36:06Speaker 1: come to the States after posing for pictures shaking the
- 36:09Speaker 1: hand of the Crown Prince, the man who was assumed
- 36:12Speaker 1: to have ordered his father's brutal death. Apparently, the Saudis
- 36:15Speaker 1: were refusing to let a Salab Binji leave the country
- 36:19Speaker 1: even though he held dual American and Saudi citizenship. It
- 36:22Speaker 1: was thought the Salah was kept from leaving and hopes
- 36:24Speaker 1: that his father would sneak back into the country to
- 36:26Speaker 1: try to get him out, and then they were going
- 36:28Speaker 1: to try to get him when he did that. The
- 36:30Speaker 1: tr administration changing Obamacare rules so that the healthy, middle
- 36:34Speaker 1: income people will be able to buy less expensive health
- 36:37Speaker 1: care policies that don't provide the basics that the Affordable
- 36:40Speaker 1: Care Act mandated. In fact, states could now use federal
- 36:43Speaker 1: funds to help people pay for low quality insurance plans
- 36:47Speaker 1: like ones that do not cover pre existing conditions and
- 36:49Speaker 1: stuff like that exactly, which is what people did want
- 36:52Speaker 1: them to cover. Early voting began in several states this week.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Big balloting has now begun in Alaska, Arkansas, I had
- 37:00Speaker 1: a Home, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, and Maryland. Begins today.
- 37:04Speaker 1: In the District of Columbia, today is National Frankenstein Friday.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Don't talk about it like to heat my cousin ear's up.
- 37:13Speaker 1: Steve Harby Mason find out if Uncle Steves smart than
- 37:15Speaker 1: his nephew been back to wheny miss After the hour
- 37:17Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 37:21Speaker 1: Morning Show. The Mayor of Tallahassee, Andrew Gillham, a Democrat
- 37:25Speaker 1: who has been the target of blatant racism over the
- 37:28Speaker 1: course of his campaign, handled things during the Florida's gubernatorial debate. Recently,
- 37:33Speaker 1: Andrew Gillham's opponent, Republican run De Santis, got visibly angry
- 37:38Speaker 1: when he was questioned about earlier speaking engagements at racially
- 37:43Speaker 1: charged far right conferences and accepting campaign contributions from a
- 37:47Speaker 1: donor who called former President Barack Obama a racial epitat
- 37:52Speaker 1: on Twitter. Take a listen, Mr gil won't give you
- 37:55Speaker 1: a chance to respond. Let me first say, my grandmother
- 37:57Speaker 1: used to say, I hit dog, will holler, and it
- 38:00Speaker 1: hollered through this room. Mr de Santis has spoken. First
- 38:05Speaker 1: of all, he's got Neo Nazis helping him out in
- 38:07Speaker 1: the state. Uh. He has spoken at racist conferences. He's

- 45:47Speaker 1: prank phone call, and Junior, as always, steps in. Come on, Junior,
- 45:53Speaker 1: my cole and brush, Yeah right, my com and brush
- 46:05Speaker 1: running cat. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach your list.
- 46:11Speaker 1: Yeah this hey, listen, my name l Sean. Uh did
- 46:16Speaker 1: you and our uncle had passed away? Named yea, all
- 46:21Speaker 1: right here your uncle right, yeah, that's my uncle. We
- 46:23Speaker 1: we we were at him about three and a half
- 46:25Speaker 1: months ago. Right. What reason why I was calling was
- 46:29Speaker 1: I'm the person that actually cut your uncle hal when
- 46:32Speaker 1: he passed away. So the reason why I was calling is, uh,
- 46:38Speaker 1: the situation is when I cut his hair. And I
- 46:41Speaker 1: know you don't know the history about me, but my
- 46:44Speaker 1: my daddy and my granddaddy was was bablus, We all bous. Okay,
- 46:49Speaker 1: come on, get down to the bobble because you trying
- 46:51Speaker 1: my uncle man, and I'm trying to see what's going
- 46:53Speaker 1: on forever, okay, And I'm sorry to call you like this,
- 46:56Speaker 1: but what I'm telling you is that my granddad and
- 46:58Speaker 1: my daddy they Dad, it's down a brush and a
- 47:01Speaker 1: comb to me, okay, that is like a sentimental value.
- 47:07Speaker 1: But for the last two or three months, I ain't
- 47:10Speaker 1: been able to find the comb and the brush that
- 47:12Speaker 1: I used what I had cut here how okay to okay,
- 47:17Speaker 1: And what I was trying to call and tell you
- 47:19Speaker 1: is it that I can't find it and I'm almost
- 47:22Speaker 1: certain what I'm trying to see what I'm kid what
- 47:25Speaker 1: many so? So what can I do to He'll be fine?
- 47:28Speaker 1: Comb brother, father, That's what I'm saying. When I did
- 47:31Speaker 1: miss have and ended it up at the funeral home,
- 47:34Speaker 1: that's the last time I remember having it three months
- 47:38Speaker 1: right right, there's about three months ago. What I'm trying
- 47:41Speaker 1: to say is I left the comb and brush and
- 47:44Speaker 1: you know what, went to funeral home and did his
- 47:47Speaker 1: how okay? And I talked to the funeral home and
- 47:50Speaker 1: they told me that, you know, if I'm trying to
- 47:52Speaker 1: find a comba bro I gotta get permission. What code
- 47:55Speaker 1: is the comba brush? What's the color of the comba broth?
- 47:59Speaker 1: That both of black? The coman black, and you got
- 48:02Speaker 1: all kind of combs that black and go man, no, no,
- 48:05Speaker 1: don't see. What I'm saying is the comban brush is black,
- 48:08Speaker 1: and I know I lost it, but I'm almost certain
- 48:12Speaker 1: about where it is. Okay. So if you said about
- 48:15Speaker 1: where it is, what you called, that's the reason why
- 48:17Speaker 1: I'm calling you because I'm almost certainly not left it
- 48:20Speaker 1: with him. You're listened with my bed. So so I
- 48:24Speaker 1: called funeral They told me I need to call you
- 48:26Speaker 1: in order to get permission to get it. Oh, can
- 48:29Speaker 1: you call funerals get permission from me that you can
- 48:33Speaker 1: go get the comban brush from left the funeral. You
- 48:36Speaker 1: can go down there. They got no no, no, See
- 48:39Speaker 1: the comban brush ain't with the funeral. The comban brush
- 48:44Speaker 1: is in there with your uncle. The word the comb
- 48:47Speaker 1: and brush in the cave? You I mean, O the stage.
- 48:53Speaker 1: You got to say that again. What I'm trying to
- 48:55Speaker 1: say to you is that the comb and brush is
- 48:59Speaker 1: in I'm trying to say you just say what I'm
- 49:01Speaker 1: saying it that the colman brushes in the casket with
- 49:04Speaker 1: your uncle. Since then that is six feet let's see. See.
- 49:09Speaker 1: What I'm trying to say is that the comb and
- 49:11Speaker 1: brother is sentimental value to me. Bro It couldn't have
- 49:14Speaker 1: been through value. But if you lost it, what now?
- 49:17Speaker 1: What do you want? Got value? You know my work?
- 49:20Speaker 1: So I just really got caught up in my work.
- 49:23Speaker 1: If you talk about the left with my uncle that
- 49:26Speaker 1: did three months ago? Man, what kind is he talking about?
- 49:29Speaker 1: Bro All, I'm trying to do what you would see
- 49:31Speaker 1: if if you don't mind, approven for them to bring
- 49:35Speaker 1: the body up so I can get the comb and brush.
- 49:41Speaker 1: What's there for comb? But but see, but what I'm
- 49:44Speaker 1: trying to explain it this sentimental value. I'm trying to
- 49:47Speaker 1: get you out the brain, the body else so I
- 49:48Speaker 1: can get my comb and brush out of it. Because,
- 49:50Speaker 1: like I say, my dad and my granddad was bommed.
- 49:54Speaker 1: This little thing is sentimentally. You talking about my dead uncle, man,
- 49:57Speaker 1: and you're talking about bringing him up out of the
- 49:59Speaker 1: ground for combe. Man, I just got these to start
- 50:02Speaker 1: crying around here, and and I understand what y'all going
- 50:06Speaker 1: through as as a family and stuff. She Now I'm
- 50:08Speaker 1: trying to get my combing, man, And how are you
- 50:11Speaker 1: trying to go about doing this all? Throw it off on, boy,
- 50:13Speaker 1: because ain't nobody digging up, nobody to bring back. No, no,
- 50:16Speaker 1: brush man, you don't got me tist off now, man,
- 50:19Speaker 1: because you're coming to me talking, stupid man. You talk,
- 50:21Speaker 1: I put on my mom to man. That's man, that's
- 50:23Speaker 1: got give me a look. And I ain't trying to start. No,
- 50:25Speaker 1: you're talking like combing brush man only. But I understand
- 50:29Speaker 1: all that. But this is a sentimental value, man in
- 50:32Speaker 1: the middle. To me, man, just something that people listen
- 50:35Speaker 1: sentimental relieve Okay, got my favorite uncor man. Okay, you
- 50:39Speaker 1: tell about putting up this body? Man I got Hey man,
- 50:42Speaker 1: I don't want to give you because my gland that's long. Man.
- 50:46Speaker 1: You shouldn't know how you got play man, if we
- 50:48Speaker 1: don't get out like this here, man, I ain't been
- 50:50Speaker 1: seeing and argue with you. Look, I got some tea,
- 50:54Speaker 1: I got something. I mean, well you staying let me
- 50:57Speaker 1: say this. I got some people that's here with me,
- 50:59Speaker 1: right hu, you know some of my friends, and we
- 51:02Speaker 1: got some shovels, so I can actually go over and
- 51:05Speaker 1: and and go on and get the carber and in
- 51:08Speaker 1: the morning, ain't nobody gonna even know. You ain't gonna
- 51:10Speaker 1: gonna get now, but with the hard board to say

- 55:11Speaker 1: I'm too young to be married? Did you write this? Junior?
- 55:15Speaker 1: Oh kind of thing? Now, I didn't matter. We know
- 55:18Speaker 1: who didn't write it. Okay, yeah, yeah, what alright's just
- 55:31Speaker 1: talking about? He didn't write too young to be married,
- 55:34Speaker 1: too old to be married. He didn't write any of it. Okay,
- 55:37Speaker 1: here we go, Dear Stephen, Shirley. I'm twenty three years
- 55:40Speaker 1: old and I just got married. I'm a little worried
- 55:43Speaker 1: that I got married too soon because I realized I
- 55:46Speaker 1: can't do all the things I had planned to do
- 55:48Speaker 1: with my life right now. We moved to Illinois after
- 55:51Speaker 1: we got married, but I want to finish college in
- 55:53Speaker 1: North Carolina this fall. I'm sure now that we can't
- 55:56Speaker 1: afford for me to go back and finish school and
- 55:58Speaker 1: keep up with our rent and ills. My best friend
- 56:01Speaker 1: and I planned to get our bachelor's degrees and then
- 56:04Speaker 1: go to grad school, and we were going to live
- 56:06Speaker 1: like the girls on living single for a few years.
- 56:09Speaker 1: We would be single, sexy black women with successful careers,
- 56:13Speaker 1: and we would party occasionally. But that all changed so
- 56:16Speaker 1: quickly when I met my husband. He believed in love
- 56:19Speaker 1: at first sight, and I went along with everything because
- 56:23Speaker 1: he was my first real boyfriend and the first man
- 56:26Speaker 1: I ever gave myself too. I was so caught up.
- 56:30Speaker 1: Don't get me wrong, I really do love my husband.
- 56:33Speaker 1: I just feel like I should have waited a while.
- 56:36Speaker 1: Maybe we should have taken a year apart dated other people.
- 56:39Speaker 1: I would finish college and then see if we still
- 56:42Speaker 1: want to be married. I'm feeling stuck, and I don't
- 56:45Speaker 1: think I'll ever get the life I planned for myself
- 56:47Speaker 1: if I stay in this marriage. What should I do
- 56:50Speaker 1: tomorrow isn't promised? Please help me, well. I understand how
- 56:55Speaker 1: you feel, because sometimes when you get married, you do
- 56:58Speaker 1: feel stuck. I mean, you just do. You can't get
- 57:00Speaker 1: out of it. You said your vows till death do
- 57:03Speaker 1: us part. You know, um is the only way you
- 57:05Speaker 1: can get out of it. Usually, you know when you
- 57:08Speaker 1: start thinking, because you're not only married physically, you're married mentally,
- 57:11Speaker 1: you're married in your mind. So I get that, and
- 57:13Speaker 1: I understand how you may have, you know, gotten caught up,
- 57:16Speaker 1: and you know your heart wanted to do one thing,
- 57:20Speaker 1: and that was married this man. But I want to
- 57:22Speaker 1: tell you your twenty three thank you for writing us.
- 57:24Speaker 1: I mean, perhaps you did get married a little too soon,
- 57:27Speaker 1: too soon and too young, because you are having way
- 57:31Speaker 1: too many questions and doubts. I mean you've got too
- 57:34Speaker 1: many what EPs in your letter? Too many? Uh, I
- 57:37Speaker 1: can't do all the things I wanted to do. Now.
- 57:40Speaker 1: My question to you is why can't you do those things? Though?
- 57:43Speaker 1: Why are you thinking that? I mean, that's what a
- 57:46Speaker 1: lot of people think when they get married, that they
- 57:48Speaker 1: can't still be who they are and get, you know,
- 57:51Speaker 1: do the things that they want to do. That's not
- 57:53Speaker 1: always the case, because unless you're married to some type
- 57:56Speaker 1: of like chauvinistic old school k E man type dude,
- 58:01Speaker 1: you can still finish school. You can you know, you
- 58:04Speaker 1: just have to plan it. Maybe not in North Carolina
- 58:07Speaker 1: where you want to go, but now that you're in Illinois,
- 58:10Speaker 1: maybe you'll have to, you know, go to a school
- 58:12Speaker 1: in Illinois. Maybe you can go online to your school
- 58:15Speaker 1: in North Carolina. There are things that you can do.
- 58:17Speaker 1: You can still finish school though. You can still have
- 58:20Speaker 1: you know, maybe not a girl's year where you wanted
- 58:23Speaker 1: to take off and live like uh Caadijia and uh
- 58:27Speaker 1: you know Regimee and um Sinclair on Living Single. Maybe
- 58:32Speaker 1: maybe you can have yeah, that was the show everybody
- 58:34Speaker 1: loves it show. Maybe you can have, you know, a
- 58:36Speaker 1: plan like girls night out, you know, not a whole year,
- 58:39Speaker 1: but like girls nights Now that you're married. Um, so,
- 58:42Speaker 1: I think you said you really love your husband, don't
- 58:45Speaker 1: get don't get you wrong. So if you really love
- 58:47Speaker 1: him and if he loves you, and you guys, really
- 58:49Speaker 1: want to work at this and make your marriage work,
- 58:51Speaker 1: you gotta do that. You have to work at it.
- 58:54Speaker 1: Marriage is challenging, but with the right person, uh and
- 58:57Speaker 1: maybe some marriage counseling, I would suggest in your case,
- 59:00Speaker 1: because you are so young. For you, guys, it can
- 59:04Speaker 1: work if you guys wanted to. Don't give up. Don't
- 59:07Speaker 1: give up. Don't give up on any of your dreams.
- 59:10Speaker 1: You just gotta, you know, reconfigure now that you're in
- 59:13Speaker 1: this thing that you just jumped into. Because I love
- 59:17Speaker 1: at first sight. All right, Come on, Junior, what you got?
- 59:21Speaker 1: You didn't write the letter you said, and it's a female. No,
- 59:25Speaker 1: I didn't write that. You know, I really really feel
- 59:28Speaker 1: for her. You know I'm too young to be married. Well,
- 59:32Speaker 1: at the end of the letter, she said, please help me,
- 59:34Speaker 1: I just want to let her know. Well, I can't
- 59:36Speaker 1: help because I ain't even man. You didn't ask call
- 59:40Speaker 1: little ship about this? Out of here? Don't know white you.
- 59:43Speaker 1: But I'll tell you one thing. I'm doing everything you
- 59:46Speaker 1: want to do. I'm about here single, I'm about here
- 59:51Speaker 1: to do. I'm dating. Yeah, I'm doing everything. I ain't
- 59:54Speaker 1: got to call noviding, I ain't got to do what
- 59:56Speaker 1: I tell you. I see you'll here lusting for your
- 59:58Speaker 1: sake of life, but you can't do it because you're married. Now.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Don't ask me though, But honestly, Junior, you do want
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: to get married eventually? Yeah? Okay, yeah good? But right
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: now though, we're not right now? Yeah, right, now though
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: I'm doing great. Yeah, yeah, And I feel for the
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: girl because she's she wants she gave it up too fat,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: She should have dated some other people have seen what
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: else is out here off now at my age and
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: now it ain't much, you know, everybody getting taken up. Yeah,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: but she got somebody, so it might not be a
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: bad thing for her. I think she just may have
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: to just go ahead and you know, be married, be
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: a wife, and asked him to support you, to go
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: back to commine what you should do. She's scared, she's
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: she's scared. She's, you know, a little bit scared right now.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: All right, thank you you and your great answer. Right,
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: all right, Lord, okay, pray our strength everyone. Uh, Jay,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: you're the old lord. Come on better man. I'm gonna
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: answer it in three sections. I'm gonna answer it as Jay,
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: I'm answer as Tommy. I'm gonna answer as Steve. All right.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: First of all, J would say there is no right
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: age to get married. All right, you want to do
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: J live? Okay? All right? I can't damn. What did
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: that line fit in every situation? You want to do?
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Answers Tommy? First, Timmy would saying what you need to
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: do is you should have been with a whole lot
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: of people for you meant this, dude, you should have
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: had like a group thing and then let one of
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: the people in the group decide what you should be
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: in life. Why waste all that loving on one man? What?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: That don't make no sense? People should help you make
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: your decision in life, girl, please, because you out there
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: looking for love and all these love answers in one person.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: You can't get everything. You won't from one version. You
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: just gain it's imps to get it from one. That
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: is exactly what Tommy would say. But but that Tommy boy,
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: that sucked. All right? Well hold that, okay, hold that
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: till we come back. I'm sure we can't wait for
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: that one. All right, We're gonna have part two of
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Jay's response, uh, right after this after the hour subject
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: I'm too young to be married. You're listening to the
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show. We're back in the middle of the
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. Um, we have to recap it. The subject
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: is I'm too young to be married? A twenty three
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: year old young lady wrote in she just got married.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: She's a little worried though, that she got married too soon.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: Because now she realizes that she can't do all the
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: things that she planned to do with her life. She
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: wants to finish college in North Carolina. However, she and
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: her husband now live in Illinois. She wants to um,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: you know, perhaps taken a year off after college and
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: live a single life with her girlfriends, like living single,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: you know the TV show. She wanted to be sexy
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: and young and single, you know, with successful careers, partying occasionally,
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: she said. But she met her husband quickly. He believed
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: in love at first sight. He was the first one,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: first real boyfriend, the first one she said she ever
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: gave it up to. So she was kind of, you know,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: caught up in everything. And she says she really does
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: love him, but she feels like she should have waited
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: a while because you know, if she had waited, then
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: she would finish she would have finished college and done
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: the things that she wanted to do. But she can
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: still finish college, she can still do those things. He's
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: just got to work it out within her marriage. She
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: wants to stay in the marriage, but she doesn't know
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: what to do. She's saying tomorrow isn't promised and she
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: needs some help. All right, We heard from Junior, who
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: said that he's living the life that she wants to live.
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: He has a single man. Yeah, I'm doing everything you
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: want to do. Parties, check Dayton check. Juniors turn up
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: and Sane answered in some voice that he claimed was
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Tommy was Tommy, but the voice we don't know who. Okay,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: so now you're gonna answer as you as Steve. Steve. Okay,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: all right, here we go. First thing we have to
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: do is we have to we have to dissect this letter.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: We have to break this letter down. Let's start from
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: the beginning, Shirley. It says, dear Steve and Shirley, that's
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: you and I. That's you and I right there, you
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: and I. Then we go into the letter. We go
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: down here says North Carolina. Where's North Carolina? It's right
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: next to South Carolina. I'm putting it all together. What's
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: where I'm going on? Watch what I'm going then Steven Shirley.
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: Then he went up there to North Carolina. Me and
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: my best friends planning to get our bachelor degree and
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: you know, get our bachelor's degree. Did you see that
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: right there? North Carolina bachelor. I'm breaking this whole letter
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: down because that's what Steve does. That's what he does.
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: He said. She said, we wanted to live the single light,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: single life. What does that mean? That means single life?
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: What does that mean? It says it in the letter
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: right here, single life. I'm gonna start back up at
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: the top and then ring all together, Steven Shirley, North Carolina.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: My best friend wanted to live the single life for years.
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: The key word here, Shirlet, it's right there in your
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: faith for years. Wanted to live it for years. I'm
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: breaking it down. He believed in up at first sight?
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: Oh lord, what he believe in love at first sight?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: He believed in love at first sight? Single life, love
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: at first sight, North Carolina, twenty one, Shirley and Steve,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Watch what I'm going gonna put it all together? I'm
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: gonna make it don't work together? Where are you going?
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: What the heck are you talking about? Steve? Here go?
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: What should I do tomorrow? Isn't promised? Please help me?
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: That's it. That's the closing room mark right there. I'm done.
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: I'm dropping the mic. I'm fire. You broke that thing down,
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: but breaking down that's now now. I will answer the
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: letter as Jay and Brown ain't better man. That is
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: no right age to get married ever ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever,
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: ever ever. You've been married three or four or five times?
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: Who's counting? It's in the room counting. All of a sudden,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: we got counters. Now we don't mean that counter. And
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: that's my advice for the strong bary letter. I'm out
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: been married. Who's counting? We don't counting? I did ask,
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: but Steve, though, could you break it down? I think
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: we have a little time the beginning from the beginning.
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Let's start in the beginning, because dear Steven, Shirley, that's
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: you and I shirt, that's you and I. Then he
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: goes down to what North Carolina? Nowhere North Carolina, right
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: next to South Carolina, and then looking said, my best
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: friend and I plan they get out of bachelor bree
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: and then to grad school when we were gonna live
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: the single life. That's what it said. They had planned
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: to live the season life. Where Shirley, North Carolina? And
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: who are they talking to you and me? Steve down,
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: little father, go all up into the leave because it
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: all says it right here in the latter. All you
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: gotta do. Don't get me wrong, don't get me wrong,
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: don't get me wrong. Then it goes. Are you trying about?
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: But what should I do? Please help me? I'm dropping
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: the mic. Or you can break it down. I feel
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: so much smarter now. I didn't see all that and
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I didn't feel just read it. You know you kill you? Yeah?
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: You hey man? You off. You can email us, you
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: can instagram what's your thoughts on today's Strawberry Letter? Or
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: j as Steve and Tommy breaking it down at Steve
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Harvey FM. Alright, or or my at my Girls Shirley
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: coming up in about ten minutes. What your mama said,
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: but what your mama meant? Okay, two different things? Maybe
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: two different things coming up right after this. You're listening
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Show. All right, listen, guys, I
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: saw this great video the other day. It featured this
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: adorable mom. She was so cute and her little daughter
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: was just the sweetest pie. They were dancing, they were singing,
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: and they were cleaning cleaning. Yeah, I have to admit that,
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: you know, I sometimes when I do clean, I clean
- 1:10:01Speaker 1: it into I turn it into fun by singing. And
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: you all know how I love to sing. Hey, hey, come,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: I take that room handle and you know, I'm like,
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: you know what I like to do. It just makes
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: cleaning more fun. It makes it more fun, you know.
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: And our friends at pine Shall wants you to clean
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: your way. You like to sing like me, do it
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: by making cleaning fun, no matter how difficult the mess
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: may seem. I know that pine Shall gets the job
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: done right, working across multiple services throughout the house, in
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: the kitchen, in the bathroom, on the floor, wherever. So
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: get inspired to clean. I'm just trying to get get
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: you guys inspired to clean, like, yeah, change your attitude
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: or sometimes I turn into Tina Turner ruland down the river,
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you know, do all of that. Get inspired to clean
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: your way and make it fun. All right? That fun? Alright,
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: thank you guys. Time to switch gears. Now, Jay, what
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: you got Okay, we have this, this this little piece
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: of comedy. It's called what your Mama said. It's not
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: necessary what your mama meant. So what we're gonna do, uh, Junior,
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: is gonna read what your mama said. And I'm gonna
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: take what your mama meant because we've all heard some
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: of these phrases. Okay, we knew when she said that
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: what she meant so, just in case, let's refresh your
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: memory for a while. Here, we're gonna hit a junior. Alright,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: I'm doing as my mom. H Hey boy, hey, where
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: you show out? It's where you get walwat yeah that one.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, everybody. That means there's no place that you
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: can't get you behind, toe into church, funeral, church, funeral,
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: down at the code house, the DMV in in school,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: standing in the cafetire. There's no there's no line. Back
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: in the day then there was no sign that said
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: don't beat your child. And here there was never a
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: sign up there that said that. You know, and I
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: think Jay remember they used to be kids back to day.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: They always had encourages. Get him girl. Yeah yeah, yeah
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: that Oh, he won't be no breaking nobody's house. Hey,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: heye ful Hey, I brought you in this world. I
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: can take you out. Yeah. Well, I mean that means
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: you're deaf. Won't bother me at all? Yeah, not upset
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: about it all. Not not. If I'm doing the killing,
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: doing the killing and you haven't to, this will not
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: bother me. I can make another one just like my god, Hey,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: what your mama said? What your mama mean? That's it
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: what your hey, hey, hey, hey, I'm not gonna fight
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: you because you're bigger than me, but I'll stab you
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: in your sleep. That says it right there. That means
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: that particular night you didn't get no sleep at all.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: My mama didn't say that, Mama. My mom never said it,
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: but I've heard it other people's mom My mom said it,
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: and that that little short lady was walking up down
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: the hallway, meaning I was up all night. My mama
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: didn't say that. She said the first part, but the
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: second part was different. It's what your mother said, what
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: your father mean. Okay, all right, ja, hi, hey, hey,
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: you got one more time? That means okay, you already
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: did it. One time you did it. She told you
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: to do it one more time. And it means just that.
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: That means do it again. I'm waiting. I'm actually they
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: really want you to do it again, so they could
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: be hell at you. That's what they really want. It's
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: lacking encouragement. Please do it. Begin. I told you not
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: to do it, and if you do it, I'm gonna
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna squeeze your neck to you can't breathe. That's
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: what I'm doing. What your mama saying what your mama
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: mama mean like like this, I've heard this, We've all
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: heard this. Don't let your mom right to check your
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: behind can't cash. Yeah, that means your mouth has the pen.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: You can just right for you right, you right and
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: check with your with your mouth. But you're behind is
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: the bank and that means the pen wrote the amount
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: that the banker's So don't let your mount right and
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: check you're behind, can't can and you will know when
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you don't have enough money in your but account. Okay,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: it wasn't number thirty dollars in here. I just wrote
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: what your papa says, what's your fama meant? He's what
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: my mama actually told me this. Listen, I don't mind
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: taking you out and doing the tax. Wait, I didn't
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: get that one. I don't mind taking you out and
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: doing the time. That means what that means jail would
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: be a peaceful place for me. Not peaceful, peaceful because
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: first of all, you won't be there. I don't have
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: to worry about you. Meals will be cooked for me,
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: my clothes will be washed, I get to wash television.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: It'll be kind of peaceful. So I don't mind doing
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the time. Okay, alright, alright, that okay, I got that.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: I'm said, we got a few seconds left. Go ahead, alright,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: last your grandmama. Don't run nothing in this house. That's
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: seven explanet, wow, my grandma. Alright, guys, coming up at
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we'll do Week eight is
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: it in the NFL? Alright? Week eight in the NFL?

- 1:21:19Speaker 1: not attracted, but Cleveland. My Bouts is from Cleveland. He
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: would pick Cleveland just for mean job security. So I'm
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: going with Cleveland Baker Mayfield Field, but then looking for
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: the white guy by the name with Miker Mike. So
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: this is just for job security. It's a job security pick.
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: Nothing that one really makes sense. He don't like Pittsburgh

- 1:27:47Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: The mayor of Tallahassee, Andrew Gillum, a Democrat who has
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: been the target of blatant racism over the course of
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: his campaign, handle things during the Florida's gubernatorial debate. Recently,
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: Andrew Gillham's opponent, Republican run De Santis, got visibly angry
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: when he was questioned about earlier speaking engagements at racially
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: charged far right conferences and accepting campaign contributions from a
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: donor who called former President Barack Obama a racial epitat
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: on Twitter. Take a listen, Mr gil won't give you
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: a chance to respond, though. Let me first say, my
- 1:28:25Speaker 1: grandmother used to say, I hit dog, will holler uh,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: and it hollowed through this room. Mr de Santis has spoken.
- 1:28:34Speaker 1: First of all, he's got neo Nazis helping him out
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: in the state. Uh. He has spoken at racist conferences.
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: He's accepted a contribution and would not return it from
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: someone who referred to the former president of the United
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: States as a Muslim in I G. G. E. R.
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: When asked to return that money, he said, no, he's
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: using that money to now fund negative as Now. I'm
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: not calling Mr. De Santis a racist. I'm simply saying
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: the racist believe he's a racist. What's this boom? You know?
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: You know what that is. That's when you write it
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: down and you go let him say. If he say,
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it is, I'm ready and yeah, that
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: was ready ready for you jail one of those. Jay,
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: you need to go ahead and do it. Jay, Uh, career,
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: come on out before. I'm not gonna win this race.
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Come on, career, career, his career is over. Yeah, you
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: mean winning that race? You know what? I hate to
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: do that, he'll he won't win if we vote. We
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: have to vote. That's very important. I don't want to
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: take anything for grants. Yeahcause it's smart and it's educated
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: and as well spoken as this man is I'm talking
- 1:29:46Speaker 1: about give him. There are a lot of whites on
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: a lot of blacks too, who will use the phrase
- 1:29:51Speaker 1: he's too progressive. We're not ready to change things right now,
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: and progressive means just wait a while. But damn it,
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: we've been waiting for Yeah, that's what we're constantly doing,
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: is waiting on change. Changes now. James. When you decide
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: to change, you gotta do it now. And you're right,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: so we gotta get out of vote. Yeah. I don't.
- 1:30:11Speaker 1: I don't want to take it for granted. But let
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: me tell you what I love about Andrew Gillham. Carlos, Okay,
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: point right, he's on point. You know how people when
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: you get home, somebody said something crazy to you, but
- 1:30:23Speaker 1: you you clapped back, but it wasn't the clap back
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: you wanted, and you didn't. You didn't get the real
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: clap back till you got home. I should have said,
- 1:30:29Speaker 1: you're in the mirror and I should have told him
- 1:30:31Speaker 1: this and he said this. I should have said, you
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: don't have to worry about that. With Andrew Gillham, everything
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: he planned on say, he said that in the moment.
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: I love that about him. I love it. We love
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: you guys, Tallahassee, we love you, Tampa, Jacksonville, West Palm Beach,
- 1:30:50Speaker 1: you love us. We need you, guys to show up
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: November six. Show up and if you want an early vote,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: please early vote. We need you. Andrew Gillim needs you.
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: We want him to be the governor of the great
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: state of Florida. Okay, Andrew, Yeah, I mean I'm talking
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: about history. You have an opportunity to make history down
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: there in Florida. Let's do it's rights, right, that's right there.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: Never Yeah, come on call him out day count yes Sandford. Yeah,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: well yeah, they're gonna be deep, y'all. Remarks have no
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: idea what they are you guys. We'll be back right after.
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Alright, guys, here
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: we are, last break of the day. It's a good
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: day today, Oh my gosh, yes, great day. Happy Friday. Everyone.
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: We're playing without two about main players is not here,
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: Steve is not here. But we did. We did the people. Absolutely,
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: the crew is here for you. Yeah, we got y'alls back.
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: I definitely want to say this before we get out
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: of here. Guys. This is Halloween weekend, so happy Halloween.
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: To you, guys. Whatever, what do you mean? Whatever? I
- 1:32:20Speaker 1: got a lost I need you to help you guys,
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: because you know I have a big Halloween party with
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: the kids. Shirley, we'll tell you at my house every Halloween.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: So this weekend before I gotta go get the candy
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: I ordered Tasha's costume. Well, I do have a lot
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: of stuff to do for Halloween. I mean, okay, so
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: you're feeling me. What you gotta do this weekend in
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: my house for Halloween? Oh? Good thing I do is
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: I put up a sign in the yard that says
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: the owner has moved. So what what did I put
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: up on the other sign? House for sale? Put that
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: up on the other side. So if you don't see that,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: and then you see, then you know. All the lights
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: are completely off, not one light anywhere. There's no lights.
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: I'm in there. I'm in there, but all my lights
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: are and I got black stuff on the window so
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: you can't see me inside. I parked my car up
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: close to the door so you can't even come up,
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: like it's a long way. I park it right up
- 1:33:28Speaker 1: to the door, right, And then then I have a sign.
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: What then I have a sign? And since I'm a
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: diabetic sign reads I'm a diabetic. Since I can't have
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: candy neither, should you go to the next house? And
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: then that's that's Halloween for me. But it's a lot
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: of work setting all that up. I got to put
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: all this stuff, Junior, I don't I don't like Halloween.
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: I don't want the kids love. That's problem. I ain't
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: really crazy about kids, I said, I don't have none.
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: But yeah, but I ain't really crazy about him either.
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: But what I do for Halloween, Junior, were on in Houston.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: He can hear. I hope he listening, because you'll tell
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: you it's true. I don't care. I don't. I don't
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: take him. He has not been trick or treating with me,
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: not ever. Ever, I don't go all his costume he
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: jumped in front of me. I don't respond to none
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: of them. He tried to be Spider Man, trying to
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: stick on the wall and bust his ass roll. I
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: don't really like Halloween. So when kids come over to
- 1:34:46Speaker 1: the fan house for Halloween, we don't pass out candy.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I pass out left though. Was we clear refrigerator? I
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: don't giving I'm giving kids sides like cabbage. Your kids
- 1:34:58Speaker 1: gonna be so gassy when he get home. I'm giving
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: out rice engraving. You know, we got hands were cleaned
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: out the refrigerator over here. You know a nice can
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: of corn will make a kid think. Man, make the
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: bad corn. If I tell you, I don't give me
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: can they already cooked? Theyin't got steam coming off a
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: little bols raped a little in the fall and dropped
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: head on them there. Because you're gonna get hongry with
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: all this walking. You do it a matter of fact,
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: I'll make them turn it back to then't see me
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: do it. I'm not passing that can. You get leftovers
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: over here? Are you do? You put it in cute
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: little containers and you just race it off the white
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: boa get them we got fault, fixed them some rices right,
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: and put the lid on it and put it in
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: the bag. It's you know when they reached their hand
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: and they're gonna burn their hands. But what you want
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: to do is the word to get out that don't
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: go to that house. And nothing does that better than
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: a bit off banana. You okay, don't go to that house.
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: Why I got some candys what nobody wants you and
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: don't drive it in the back, hand it to the
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: kid as you're shooting, and handed to him and squeeze.
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: It's really not going I thought it was. I wanted
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: suggestion you see how to tickle j and ju. I
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: really thought you liked kids. And if you do give
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: out candy, nothing de turns the kid to see you,
- 1:36:49Speaker 1: you know, lick off the candy, wrap it up and
- 1:36:52Speaker 1: here has been leg ain't I give out candy. That's
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: challenging to a child. If you want a challenging kid
- 1:37:05Speaker 1: to make sure you don't show back up at your house,
- 1:37:07Speaker 1: pass out fresh peanut riddle. They get the pressure they need.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: They don't have a strength not made with peanuts, made
