I'm thinking today of a verse in Psalm 78.

a bit of time in Psalm 78.

Anyway, Psalm 78, verse 66 says, He drove his adversaries backwards.

He put on them an everlasting reproach.

God drives backwards those foolish enough to stand against him.

It's the wrath.

Wrath is opposition, violent opposition, like in football where two lines hold up and face

off each other and they push and the offensive line tries to push the defensive line back

and the defensive line tries to push the offensive line back but understand that God never fails

God puts them on them an everlasting reproach.

They are put on a leash, disconnected because they were adversaries of God.

God loves you and He doesn't want to be distant from you.

Think about the kind of things that God likes to do.

That's what it means when it says, walk in the ways of the Lord.

He likes to love people.

He likes to serve people.

He likes to give, to be merciful and kind.

God has given you a special spiritual gift if you've been saved and born again.

By the way, if you haven't been born again, just right now cry out to God in the name

of Jesus Christ and say, I would have you as Lord and as you can be in charge of my

life, I would have you as Savior.

And as I recognize you, you pay the penalty for my sins.

Believe in Him and receive what He offers and by grace He'll save you.

Serve the Lord today.

Don't be an adversary or you put the adversary backwards.
