- 0:00During the time that Tim Walz was governor, 5 infants were
- 0:04born alive after failed abortion attempts.
- 0:07None of these infants were giving life saving medical care.
- 0:11Instead, Tim Walz is letting them die in the state of
- 0:14Minnesota. That is his policy.
- 0:16We are dealing with the most pro abortion presidential ticket in
- 0:19American history. When you were separated from
- 0:23Sawyer and she had him for the first year of his life, how did
- 0:25you end up meeting him for the first time and what was that
- 0:27like? I remember I was just held him
- 0:29till he fell asleep and then he was sleeping next to me and I
- 0:32was just laying there on the floor and I remember just
- 0:34breaking down crying like I finally met my son.
- 0:42Hey guys, welcome back to the Lila Rose podcast.
- 0:45Today we're doing a news roundup.
- 0:47We haven't done one of those in a couple weeks and Oh my
- 0:49goodness, there is a ton of news to talk about.
- 0:52As you all know, Kamala Harris is now running for president, no
- 0:57longer VP. Now the president, she also has
- 1:00named her VP, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota.
- 1:03We're going to talk about Kamala Harris record on abortion.
- 1:07I think it's essential that you know about it.
- 1:09We also were talking about some news coming out of California
- 1:12recently. Governor Gavin Newsom signed a
- 1:14bill into law in California that prohibits schools from telling
- 1:21parents if their child, including their young child,
- 1:25thinks that they are transgender.
- 1:27Yes, now there's this right to privacy for little kids.
- 1:31If they go to school, the school has to affirm their chosen
- 1:35gender identity and the parents may have no clue.
- 1:39And lastly, we talked with Harrison Tinsley who shares
- 1:42about his custody battle for his son fighting an ex who was
- 1:46trying to trans his young child. All this and more on today's
- 1:50episode of the Lila Rose Podcast.

- 2:49presidential elections now for probably the last 15 years and I
- 2:54remember back when Biden and Obama were running for
- 2:59president. I remember talking about their
- 3:02platform and how it was at the time the most pro abortion
- 3:05platform in American history. President Obama, when he was
- 3:09then a state senator, would actually vote several times
- 3:13against the Born Alive Infants Protection Act.
- 3:15He was so pro abortion that then State Senator Obama didn't even
- 3:19want children who survived abortion attempts in his state
- 3:22to receive life saving medical care.
- 3:25That's how pro abortion he was. And Biden, when he joined
- 3:27Obama's ticket together, their platform was to be against any
- 3:32abortion restriction. So they wanted to repeal any
- 3:35abortion restriction and enshrine abortion demand for any
- 3:38reason. So it was pretty extreme,
- 3:40especially when he was up against a candidate who said
- 3:43that he was pro-life at the time.
- 3:44It was John McCain, as you guys remember.
- 3:47And of course, we ended up with years of President Barack Obama.
- 3:51Under President Obama's leadership, the money to Planned
- 3:54Parenthood increased and he had multiple visits, in fact, dozens
- 3:58of visits from Planned Parenthood's leadership coming
- 4:02to the White House to get special privileges.
- 4:04Now this is all of course horrific, but what are we
- 4:07dealing with today? The reality is, and I hate to
- 4:10say this, but the reality is the current Kamala Harris and Tim
- 4:15Walz ticket is even more pro abortion than the Biden Obama
- 4:20ticket. We are dealing with the most pro
- 4:22abortion presidential ticket in American history.
- 4:26Now, what does that mean? What does that look like
- 4:27concrete with concretely with the policies?
- 4:29Well, it's one thing to do policy.
- 4:31It's another thing to signal what you believe to voters and
- 4:34have some sort of a moral leadership presentation to other
- 4:37people about what you say that you care about and you believe.
- 4:40I want to start with that. So Tim Walz was recently
- 4:42announced as the VP pick for Kamala Harris.
- 4:45This is an example of what Tim Walz has to say.
- 4:48And my record is so pro-choice. Nancy Pelosi asked me if I
- 4:51should tone it down. I stand with Planned Parenthood
- 4:55and we won. There's Tim Walz, governor of
- 4:58Minnesota, saying that even Nancy Pelosi, who's very pro
- 5:01abortion, mind you, she's so pro abortion that she her own
- 5:04Bishop, her Archbishop in San Francisco, said she can't
- 5:07receive Holy Communion because she is So for abortion.
- 5:11Even Nancy Pelosi told Governor Tim Walz to tone it down because
- 5:14he's such a zealot in support of abortion.
- 5:17As governor of Minnesota, Tim Walz expanded abortion to the
- 5:22point where abortion on demand is permitted through all nine
- 5:25months of pregnancy for any reason.
- 5:27But it gets worse. During the time that Tim Walz
- 5:30was governor, 5 infants were born alive after failed abortion
- 5:35attempts. None of these infants were
- 5:38giving life saving medical care. All of them were left to die.
- 5:43These are infants that were born alive.
- 5:44They were viable, they were born alive and they were left to die.
- 5:48Of course, people might say, well these babies were probably
- 5:50very sick anyways. They would have died anyways.
- 5:53The reality is even those that are sick and may be dying
- 5:57deserve comfort care, deserve medical care, deserve life
- 6:00saving care if their lives can be saved.
- 6:03If a child gets a terrible disease, they get cancer, we
- 6:06still fight for their life. We still try to protect them.
- 6:09If they have a disability, we still try to work alongside
- 6:11their disability to protect them, to care for them.
- 6:14But that's not what is being offered to babies born alive
- 6:17after abortion attempts. Instead, Tim Walls is letting
- 6:21them die in the state of Minnesota.
- 6:22That is his policy. And here's the reality, baby
- 6:26babies that survive abortion attempt some of them, if they're
- 6:28given the care that they deserve because that's their human
- 6:32right, their right to life, they go on to live long lives.
- 6:36As an example, Gianna Jessen, who is a friend of mine,
- 6:39somebody that life action my organization has worked with to
- 6:41tell her story. She was born alive after a
- 6:44failed abortion attempt in a Planned Parenthood in Los
- 6:47Angeles and a nurse in the clinic had pity on her and mercy
- 6:51on her and whisked her away to provide her life saving medical
- 6:54care. She is now in her 40s, is
- 6:56traveling the world to advocate for the rights of all children.
- 7:00Imagine if instead of being whisked away and being given
- 7:04life saving care, Gianna was just left to die in that
- 7:07abortion clinic. The reality is, these are human
- 7:10beings. They deserve the right to life
- 7:11and they deserve medical care as a very basic standard of the
- 7:16treatment, the way we should treat preborn and born lives.
- 7:20And that's not, unfortunately, what Governor Walls wants.
- 7:24So I think the difference here is President Obama was a state
- 7:27senator. He didn't have much power.
- 7:30He had some. Governor Tim Walz has had the
- 7:33power of being the lead executive in the state of
- 7:36Minnesota. And he shows you, he has shown
- 7:39you what he will do with that power when it comes to abortion.
- 7:42And it's very scary. And it should concern any voter
- 7:46who's contemplating how they're going to vote in November.
- 7:49In addition, I want to talk about Kamala Harris.
- 7:52Kamala Harris is a particularly unique candidate in my view
- 7:56because she's not only radically pro abortion like Obama was,
- 8:00like a Biden is. She's not only for removing any
- 8:03abortion restriction and limitation.
- 8:05She wants full rights or choice for any woman to have an
- 8:09abortion at any point in pregnancy for any reason.
- 8:12But it's one step more with Kamala Harris because Kamala
- 8:15Harris, again, a proven track record here, has shown that not
- 8:19only is she radically pro abortion, not only is she
- 8:22somebody who's going to do whatever Planned Parenthood
- 8:24wants her to do, she is someone who's going to use her power to
- 8:28go after those that disagree with her, her political
- 8:32opponents. What does this look like?
- 8:34What does this mean? Let's look at her track record
- 8:36when she served as the Attorney general of the state of
- 8:38California. Kamala Harris was the AG of
- 8:40California. She used her power to trample
- 8:43the First Amendment rights of the investigative reporters
- 8:47David Daleiden and Sandra Mayor, two people I consider friends.
- 8:50David Daleiden and Sandra had exposed the sale of baby body
- 8:54parts at abortion clinics, including Planned Parenthood.
- 8:57They had actually gotten undercover footage sitting down
- 8:59in restaurants going to conferences, showing Planned
- 9:02Parenthood talking about how they would sell the body parts
- 9:07of the children that they savagely murdered.
- 9:10Take a lesson. So I say, OK, what are your what
- 9:12are you looking to supply today? Doctor Deborah Nukatola, Planned
- 9:19Parenthood's director of medical services, an abortion provider,
- 9:22discussing how to collect body parts from aborted fetuses,
- 9:26over. Lunch at a California
- 9:27restaurant, so. I'm not going to crush that far.
- 9:29I'm going to basically rush below.
- 9:31I'm going to crush above and I'm going to see that get out of
- 9:33attack, for example. So I had eight cases yesterday.
- 9:38I knew exactly what we needed and I kind of looked at the list
- 9:41and I said, all right, this 17 meter has a fan.
- 9:43I knew which were the cases that were probably more likely to
- 9:46feel what we needed. And I made my decisions
- 9:49according to that too. So it's worth having a huddle at
- 9:51the beginning of the day. And that's what I do I.
- 9:54Think the per item thing works a little better just because we
- 9:56can see how much we can. Get out of it.
- 9:58I always try and keep the trunk intact just just by function of
- 10:01always trying to aim. For the spine to bring it down.
- 10:03Now, there's one thing here. This is illegal.
- 10:06Thankfully, it's still illegal to traffic baby body parts.
- 10:10It's against federal law. The reality is Planned
- 10:12Parenthood is killing babies. That should be illegal.
- 10:15Unfortunately, it's not. Tragically it's not.
- 10:16We're working to change that. But then in addition, they're
- 10:19selling the body parts of the babies that they kill and then
- 10:22they go on to break that law. That's a federal law that
- 10:25they're breaking. When David and Sandra expose
- 10:27this, what should have happened in California, if there's any
- 10:30justice, is the attorney general of California should have gone
- 10:33after Planned Parenthood and the federal federal authorities
- 10:36should have gone after Planned Parenthood for their illicit
- 10:39activities. But instead, what did Kamala
- 10:41Harris do as AG? She went after David Daleiden.
- 10:45She actually sent state agents to David Daleiden's apartment at
- 10:48the time in Orange County with guns drawn to raid his apartment
- 10:52and to steal. I say steal because it was
- 10:54unjust to take his laptops and his hard drives, which had the
- 10:59footage of the of the sale of baby body parts on it.
- 11:02Why would she do this? Why would did Kamala Harris do
- 11:04this? Well, she's zealously pro
- 11:07abortion, but in addition, at the time she had a Senate
- 11:09campaign, she was running for the Senate and she was accepting
- 11:12money from Planned Parenthood for her Senate campaign.
- 11:15In fact, she was at Planned Parenthood event, Planned
- 11:17Parenthood events during the same time, raising awareness for
- 11:21her campaign and support for her campaign.
- 11:24In reality, what happened was that Planned Parenthood wanted
- 11:28Kamala Harris to go after the First Amendment rights of
- 11:31journalists who dared to expose the abortion industry and their
- 11:34heinous deeds, and Kamala Harris used her authority as Attorney
- 11:38General. Instead of going after the
- 11:40abortion clinics, killing babies, selling their body
- 11:43parts, committing all kinds of heinous acts, she went after the
- 11:47journalists who dared expose what the abortion clinics were
- 11:50doing. This is who we are dealing with
- 11:53as now the potential future president of the United States.
- 11:58Now look at what has happened under the Department of Justice.
- 12:01Even during the Biden Harris administration in the last four
- 12:04years, there have been several pro lifers who have been
- 12:07literally thrown into jail, into federal prison because of their
- 12:12pro-life advocacy. They've been charged with these
- 12:14trumped up charges through the FACE Act, saying that because
- 12:17they advocated and did civil disobedience and protest,
- 12:21peaceful protest at abortion clinics, not only will they get
- 12:24penalized for that, but they'll get additional penalties,
- 12:27federal penalties and felonies, which could lead to years in
- 12:31federal prison because they were collaborating to stop abortions
- 12:36happening at these clinics. So they're adding on these extra
- 12:39penalties for these brave activists like Joan Bell and
- 12:42Lauren Handy. 78 year old Joan Bell is a grandma and a mother,
- 12:46a loving, prayerful woman who was doing White Rose rescues,
- 12:50Lauren Handy as a young woman who was doing White Rose
- 12:53rescues, to try to peacefully use their bodies to stop the
- 12:56abortionists from coming in to kill these babies.
- 12:59But again, not only were they penalized for trespass and for
- 13:02blocking access in the clinic in that way, but they were also
- 13:06given additional federal penalties.
- 13:08And this is where the administration, the abiding
- 13:10administration, is going after them politically for doing that
- 13:13and slapping excessive charges on them to throw them in jail
- 13:17for years. Yes, that was Kamala Harris
- 13:20administration over the last four years, but imagine how much
- 13:23worse it could get when she used her role as AG to go after David
- 13:28Delighted and Sandra Mirror in California.
- 13:30You should also know about the legislation that Kamala Harris
- 13:32helped Co sponsor to unfairly target pregnancy resource
- 13:36centers. She wanted to go after pregnancy
- 13:38resource centers to get them to force them to advertise
- 13:43abortion, other clinics that do abortion to the patients that
- 13:46come in seeking material resource and free counseling.
- 13:50So she was so she's so pro abortion that she even wants
- 13:53your local pregnancy center, which is not getting government
- 13:55money. The abortion clinics, many of
- 13:56them get government money. Planned Parenthood gets over
- 13:59half of a billion dollars in government money, but she wants
- 14:01to force pregnancy centers to have to do abortion ads
- 14:04effectively in their facilities to push abortion even on the
- 14:08women seeking potentially life affirming options and help for
- 14:12their pregnancies. So we are dealing with the most
- 14:15pro abortion ticket, I hate to say this in American history.
- 14:18We're going to be talking about this more in the podcast, but I
- 14:20wanted to make sure we included these facts for you in the news
- 14:23roundup so that you knew what we're dealing with when it comes
- 14:26to the Kamala Harris and the Tim Walz ticket.
- 14:29And another news item that you have to know about, especially
- 14:31for those tracking California politics or who live in
- 14:33California. As you guys know, I'm in
- 14:35California. Governor Gavin Newsom just
- 14:37signed a law into effect a few weeks ago that would make it so
- 14:41that any school administrator or teacher is not allowed in
- 14:46certain circumstances to even tell parents whether or not
- 14:49their student might be struggling with gender identity.
- 14:52So what this looks like practically is if a student goes
- 14:55to school and maybe they're eight years old or maybe they're
- 14:58preteen and they're struggling with their identity, which by
- 15:00the way, is a totally normal thing for many preteens to go
- 15:03through. They're going through puberty or
- 15:04maybe they have a mental health issue or mental health
- 15:07struggles. And if they are struggling with
- 15:09their gender identity and they express it in any way to the
- 15:11teacher, to school administration, or maybe the
- 15:13teacher is an activist in his pushing that on the kids, the
- 15:16parents by law cannot necessarily be notified.
- 15:21So currently, if you have a student that goes to school,
- 15:24they take an Advil, they have issues with their behavior,
- 15:28bullying, or they are a bully, they go to the principal's
- 15:30office, whatever it is, if there's an issue, a mental
- 15:33health issue that is detected that the child might have, the
- 15:35parents need to be notified because the parents have
- 15:38responsibility to care for their child.
- 15:40That's their job and that's what they want to do.
- 15:42But now if the child is struggling with gender identity
- 15:45or the teacher thinks the child is struggling with gender
- 15:47identity, they can now keep this a secret from parents.
- 15:52So parents won't even know that maybe their child is going to
- 15:54school. Some activist teacher is putting
- 15:57a helping them put on a dress if they're a boy or opposite gender
- 16:00clothing if they're a girl, and then encouraging them using
- 16:03pronouns like they, them or she, her, depending on what the child
- 16:06thinks. And then the parents have no
- 16:08idea this is happening. So the whole school is required
- 16:12to keep this a secret from the parents.
- 16:14This law was called the Safety Act, which is of course a
- 16:18misnomer, claiming this is going to make kids more safe.
- 16:20No, this is more dangerous for kids because now the people that
- 16:23are responsible for them, that love them the most can actually
- 16:26help them and guide them and be there for them, their own
- 16:28parents. The reality is that Governor
- 16:31Newsom is very much pushed by and controlled by, I would say
- 16:36not just the abortion lobby, but the LGBTQ plus.
- 16:38I lobby in the state of California.
- 16:41And so he's often just signing legislation for whatever they
- 16:44want. And of course they want this
- 16:46because there's often as a push to separate parents from their
- 16:49kids who know them best, usually love them best, in order for the
- 16:52child to be at the whims of whatever the gender activist or
- 16:55ideology is being pushed at that.
- 16:58School. One other NEWS UPDATE that has
- 17:00some positivity to it. I know this is kind of been a
- 17:02heavy 1 today guys, is a conversation that I had recently
- 17:05with Harrison Tinsley, who's a father from Northern California.
- 17:09He actually recently won his custody battle.
- 17:11So he became big in the news over the last year when he was
- 17:14sharing about how he was in a custody battle for his then
- 17:17three-year old, 2 year old son Sawyer with an ex who wanted to
- 17:22transgender or make them non binary.
- 17:25The child is a little boy make the boy non binary.
- 17:29So according to the court documents, this mother would try
- 17:32to trans the boy. She'd put girls clothes on him
- 17:35so he couldn't take rides at Disney when they went to Disney
- 17:38unless you wore Princess shoes. Glitter themed birthday parties
- 17:41pushing her agenda at the time, which is her ideology on this
- 17:45child. Harrison of course had the
- 17:47father was fighting for custody and finally he has just won
- 17:50custody. I think it's important to share
- 17:52Harrison's story. Well it's in some ways a success
- 17:55story for Harrison winning custody.
- 17:57The reality is the reason that he one custody in California
- 18:00isn't because the ex was trying to trans her son, but because
- 18:04the ex had other issues that she was struggling with.
- 18:07This detail is important because the reality is the fight is on
- 18:10more than ever in California and across the country.
- 18:13Because there is still gender ideology gripping this mind
- 18:16virus. Gripping the minds of many in
- 18:18the medical profession, Many in our political system who are
- 18:22thinking that a young child can choose their gender, decide
- 18:27their gender. And then it is up for medical
- 18:29professionals and parents to endlessly affirm, even to the
- 18:32point of giving life altering hormone drugs, doing life
- 18:37altering surgeries, things that can be devastating to the child
- 18:41in the long run. We Heart nutrition.com is a

- 20:20Thank you so much for having me. It's the dream come true.
- 20:22So we just found out before sitting down that we're both
- 20:25from San Jose, basically San Jose.
- 20:28Yeah, San Jose, CA Great place to go up.
- 20:30I think I got the last golden age of it.
- 20:34Yeah, that's kind of true. Like it's meaning it's going
- 20:36kind of downhill right now. Well, I'm, I'm just kind of, I
- 20:39meant more so even just the before social media, yeah, cell
- 20:43phones more so. Meaning we were the last, the
- 20:46last generation before the chaos of social media.
- 20:48You and me. Yeah.
- 20:50Yeah, That's kind of true. And then we have some stuff in
- 20:53common, too. We both went to West Valley
- 20:54College at one point. Yeah.
- 20:56Love that. Good old days.
- 20:58So you've all you're all over the news right now, Harrison and
- 21:01some people listening probably know some of your story or maybe
- 21:05this is the first time they're hearing.
- 21:06So I want to start with what the news story is right now.
- 21:09And then I want to go backwards in time to where you got to
- 21:12where you are today. So what are can you tell us
- 21:14about the the headline, some of the headline news that you've
- 21:16been caught up in in just the last few weeks?
- 21:18I finally saved Sawyer and I have full custody of them.
- 21:22It's a miracle. I'm just so unbelievably
- 21:25grateful, and you can just never imagine the way God works in
- 21:29your life and how things pan out.
- 21:31But it's just so wonderful to feel that I have that control,
- 21:36that He's safe. So Sawyer is how old?
- 21:39He's 4 1/2 years old. He's 4 1/2 years old, super
- 21:42cute, and you have full custody. And tell us more about this
- 21:45custody battle that you were in and what, what, what, what was
- 21:48what was it over? Give us some of the background
- 21:50on it. Well, it goes way back to all
- 21:52the way to pregnancy. I was dating a girl in the Bay
- 21:55Area and she got pregnant shortly into our relationship
- 21:59and thankfully she wanted to have him and we both went to
- 22:03doctor's appointments together. We found out it was a boy.
- 22:06We were both super stoked upon that.
- 22:08We came up with the name Sawyer together, wonderful name.
- 22:12And we just had this, like, political disagreement.
- 22:16And essentially it seemed like she couldn't get over that.
- 22:18And it was always used against me.
- 22:20I was just threatened daily that like, oh, you're not going to
- 22:22see Sawyer if this or that over political stuff.
- 22:26And she'd bring up questions like, oh, what would you do if
- 22:28her kid was trans? And it just caused a lot of
- 22:31tension. There was a post that when she
- 22:33announced that everyone that she was pregnant on social media,
- 22:37she said, baby Sawyer due in December.
- 22:39I'll love you whether you're a boy or girl or neither.
- 22:41So that was pretty concerning. And, you know, it just got
- 22:45really hostile and she ended up, you know, keeping him from me.
- 22:49She broke up with me, sent me a cease and desist letter, which I
- 22:53respected. And I found out he was born
- 22:55about one week after from social media.
- 22:58And I filed in court two months later.
- 23:01And it took 13 more months just to meet him.
- 23:05So I'd never got to hold him, look in his eyes, touch him for
- 23:1015 months of his life. And that was an extreme
- 23:14heartbreak that I can't really describe, but I try to look at
- 23:18it as making me a stronger, better man for what was to come
- 23:22next in life and to be a better dad for him.
- 23:25When you said you were just in disagreement about politics, you
- 23:28mentioned that she was already, you know, making making notes
- 23:33even on social media about whether or not he's a boy or a
- 23:35girl, even though it was a boy, obviously he's a boy.
- 23:38What were some of the other things that she seemed really
- 23:40offended about with your, she said, your political views?
- 23:44But we just disagreed on many of the main topics like abortion,
- 23:47guns and transgender rights, things like that.
- 23:51So because you were, as an example, pro-life, you were
- 23:54against abortion. She wanted you to not see your
- 23:58son when he was born. Well, I obviously, I can't speak
- 24:00for her and I don't really know what's in our heart and mind
- 24:04during all of this, but it sure seemed like it was politically
- 24:07motivated. Yeah.
- 24:09And then when you were separated from Sawyer and she had him for
- 24:14the first year of his life, how did you end up meeting him for
- 24:16the first time and what was that like?
- 24:18Well, there was all sorts of stuff in court and emails
- 24:21between attorneys, etcetera, and me just anxiously fighting for
- 24:25him and waiting and waiting and waiting.
- 24:26And when I first met him, I remember just looking him in the
- 24:30eyes and it just felt like pure miracle frequency, like all
- 24:34through the air, just full of magic and love.
- 24:37And I just felt like this connection immediately that I
- 24:40can't really describe. It was just absolutely
- 24:44miraculous feeling. And, you know, and I hugged him
- 24:48and I remember I was spending this day with him.
- 24:51They made the visits less fun in the very beginning.
- 24:53Like there had to be someone there and they were like taking
- 24:56notes on me. And but I remember I I got to
- 24:59put him down for his nap time. And this whole time I had just
- 25:02done my best to be strong and fight through all this.
- 25:04And I remember I was just held him till he fell asleep and then
- 25:06he was sleeping next to me and I was just laying there on the
- 25:09floor. And I remember just breaking
- 25:11down crying. Like I finally met my son.
- 25:14Like I finally got to experience actually being a dad.
- 25:19So during this time where you paying child support, but then
- 25:22you weren't getting your rights to be able to have visitation
- 25:25like what was the kind of law, the legal realities at this
- 25:28time? At that exact time I finally got
- 25:31visitation and it was established that I was his
- 25:32father via DNA test, 99.9% accurate from DNA saliva sample.
- 25:40And I was being I believe added to his birth certificate and
- 25:43having his name changed to add my last name as well.
- 25:45And I was starting a visitation with him.
- 25:48And I fought through all these visits.
- 25:50They got like less and less strict as time went on.
- 25:52So then I was by myself with him and it was amazing.
- 25:56And I moved to the Bay Area. I've been living in Tahoe.
- 26:00And when I did that, I filed in court and I won half custody
- 26:03almost immediately. And I'm extremely thankful for
- 26:06that. But around that time also his
- 26:09mom, she started to call him the day them and like post pictures
- 26:14of him in dresses or like makeup and weird stuff like that.
- 26:18How old was he at this point? Like a year and a half in
- 26:22between a year and a half to two years old in that room.
- 26:24And we had half custody and I, I filed for full custody and there
- 26:30was also a bunch of little broken court orders, but you
- 26:32know, that happens all the time in court.
- 26:34So those are the, the main topics.
- 26:36And then there's the other thing is she was arrested for a felony
- 26:40child endangerment with Sawyer and placed on a 5150 hold.
- 26:43And the police actually didn't even call me that night.
- 26:45So I had half custody of Sawyer and I didn't even know that
- 26:49happened. Where was Sawyer when she was in
- 26:51jail? Right.
- 26:52He went with her parents, but like they didn't have custody of
- 26:54them. And I felt that was very
- 26:56inappropriate that he, I wasn't called immediately to pick him
- 26:58up. So I mean, I did everything I
- 27:01could to sort of go after that, not being OK with the police and
- 27:06stuff, but nothing ever came of it.
- 27:07And then there was ACPS investigation and they did call
- 27:10me, but when CPS called me, they said, oh, you have nothing to
- 27:13worry about. Just had to look at Sawyer.
- 27:16There was a misunderstanding and he fell off a bed.
- 27:18And I was like, oh, OK. But I was smart enough to
- 27:22request a copy of the, you know, police report.
- 27:26And I got that. And then I ended up subsequently
- 27:29getting the police body Cam footage, which was even crazier.
- 27:32And my original motion for court was actually denied.
- 27:35And I did a motion for reconsideration with the body
- 27:37Cam footage added and it was accepted.
- 27:40Motion for reconsideration is very low chances to get granted.
- 27:44But we ended up having a four day trial about all of this and
- 27:47it ended up actually being five days.
- 27:48They gave us one more day. In spite of all of that, the
- 27:51court decided to keep custody 5050 and they said that they
- 27:55wouldn't rule on the gender thing.
- 27:56And I thankfully they didn't rule with her.
- 27:58Although Sawyer adamantly says he's a boy, from that time till
- 28:01now, he's never once wavered from that.
- 28:03He'll scream at you. I'm a boy, not a girl.
- 28:06He has not bought into it one day, and I thank God for that.
- 28:09I'm just so thankful that I was there to guide him and I got
- 28:11there in time. So they decided to keep custody.
- 28:145050. I decided I was going to appeal
- 28:16that. So I appealed it with my
- 28:18attorney. I decided that I was going to
- 28:19come out publicly and tell the world my story.
- 28:22I felt like people needed to know, and I'm thankful to, you
- 28:26know, Matt Walsh in The Daily Wire.
- 28:27They broke my story and somehow it got a lot of traction and I
- 28:31just sort of started doing every interview I could and going to
- 28:34the Capitol and speaking about anti parent, anti family bills
- 28:38in California that are crazy. Like AB957 was the one I was
- 28:42trying to fight the most. And that was one saying that
- 28:45family courts had to essentially give custody to the affirming
- 28:48parent. I told them, OK, well, I'm going
- 28:50to be the first one to get custody because Sawyer says he's
- 28:52a boy, so I'm the affirming parent.
- 28:55Yeah. And, but thankfully he knew some
- 28:58vetoed that, but he unfortunately signed, you know,
- 29:02AB1955. This year, what is AB1955 in
- 29:07California that Gavin Newsom just signed?
- 29:09Yeah, it's a bill where basically schools have to keep
- 29:12secrets regarding gender. If their kids kids confused by
- 29:17gender, thinks they're a boy or girl or whatever fake thing they
- 29:20have they're confusing kids with these days that they will have
- 29:23to keep that secret from the parents and not tell the
- 29:25parents. When you were starting to speak
- 29:30out about your story. How did people.
- 29:32Personally in your life and this is ongoing custody battle with
- 29:36with Sawyers mom. How did people in your life
- 29:38respond? The people closest to me were
- 29:41all super supportive of me. I'm sure if you express their
- 29:44doubts of me, like talking about it publicly.
- 29:47But you know, my family is a very loving, supportive family
- 29:50and I feel like, and so I have some really close friends and
- 29:53relationships and I feel that everyone had my back.
- 29:56Have you run into people like, you know, we're both from the
- 29:58Bay Area. We know the Bay Area can be very
- 30:00left wing, especially with like abortion and gender ideology.
- 30:04There's some crazy stuff out there.
- 30:05San Francisco obviously is known to be this, you know, very LGBTQ
- 30:09plus I affirming place etcetera. What when you would talk with
- 30:14just like, you know, meeting people in general in the
- 30:16community of San Jose, Did you find people expressing support
- 30:21for you or people more expressing distrust of you and
- 30:25support for Sawyer's mom doing this transitioning of this two
- 30:28year? Old.
- 30:29Yeah, so I think San Jose is a much better place than San
- 30:31Francisco. And I've actually yet to meet
- 30:33anyone in San Jose, parents in particular, that support any of
- 30:37this. Everyone I meet there completely
- 30:39thinks that no secrets should be held from parents, that no kids
- 30:42under 18 should transition or get any sort of surgery or
- 30:45hormones in any way, and that no guys should be in girls, sports
- 30:50or spaces at all. That's my actual reality living
- 30:53there. I haven't yet to meet anyone who
- 30:55supports it. I'm sure there's a few French
- 30:56people that do, but literally the vast majority of people
- 30:59there, Democrat, Republican, or otherwise, are all against it.
- 31:03And I think we need to band together to protect kids and
- 31:07protect life. Absolutely, yeah.
- 31:09And that was that's been my experience.
- 31:10I mean, I still visit San Jose regularly.
- 31:12My folks are still there, many of them.
- 31:14And yeah, they were every average day person I think out
- 31:18there and I. Would say in.
- 31:19California generally thinks that the gender ideology stuff has
- 31:22gone way too far. It's crazy what we're doing to
- 31:25kids. There are many people who are
- 31:26pro-life or at least like amenable to some abortion
- 31:30restrictions. They think that this abortion
- 31:31through all nine months is insane.
- 31:33And they seem to actually prefer family values.
- 31:36They want family values. But you see the political agenda
- 31:39in California so far left, it's out of touch with most of the
- 31:43people here. It's completely out of touch.
- 31:45I don't know who our representatives are
- 31:46representing, but I think we need to start people having to
- 31:50step up, run for, you know, Senate and Assembly and their
- 31:53local districts and school boards and just speak out.
- 31:57More people need to just be courageous and speak the truth.
- 31:59I mean, you start to speak the truth, it opens up your soul
- 32:03when you're when you're lying and when you're afraid to say
- 32:05what you believe, you are weakening your soul.
- 32:08And when you start to speak this truth and have courage, God
- 32:11opens up your life in ways you just can't even imagine.
- 32:14I mean, look at mine. I've now one full custody of
- 32:18story. I've met all these incredible
- 32:19people. I'm part of this movement and
- 32:21this purpose of fighting for children and for life.
- 32:24And people read the Bible and, and they watch Lord of the Rings
- 32:29and Star Wars and they, they look back on World War 2 and the
- 32:33Civil War and like, oh, I would have helped hide the Jews and I
- 32:37would have brought the slaves to the north.
- 32:38And I would have been on the the rebel side and Star Wars and I
- 32:42would have helped destroy the ring and Lord of the Rings or
- 32:44whatever. You have a chance right now.
- 32:47This is the battle of our lifetime.
- 32:49Children are the most amazing, vulnerable, innocent, deserving
- 32:53of protection and love amongst us and our our battle is to
- 32:55protect children from gender ideology and to protect
- 32:58children's lives to keep them alive, to give them that chance.
- 33:02And everyone like watching you have this chance right now to be
- 33:06a part of something your World War 2 moment, whatever you want
- 33:09to call it, it's right here. This this is children we're
- 33:12talking about. I mean, this is just absolutely
- 33:15ludicrous and everyone knows it. We can't put up with it anymore.
- 33:18Like if your kids said they were a pirate, you wouldn't poke
- 33:21their eye out and chop off their leg.
- 33:23They said they wanted a tattoo, you wouldn't give them one.
- 33:26If they wanted to drink alcohol, you wouldn't let them if if they
- 33:30wanted to be spider man, you're not going to take them to tall
- 33:34buildings and say OK, swing to the next one.
- 33:37Jump. But for this one thing, we're
- 33:39just pretending it's OK and going along with it.
- 33:42And we need to stop lying and affirming delusions.
- 33:45We need to tell the truth and just save the kids.

- 34:33And don't forget to use the code Lila at checkout for 10% off
- 34:36your order. Why do you think we got to the
- 34:38place that we're at with all of the lies that are being told and
- 34:41the confusion? I think we're here because of
- 34:44lack of courage and people just being too afraid to say what
- 34:48they believe and just going along with it.
- 34:50I mean, that's how all the greatest atrocities in history
- 34:53have happened, as everyone was too scared to speak up until it
- 34:55came to their front door. Yeah, that as well as, like,
- 34:59media and social media just pushing these ideas, trying to
- 35:02make them seem bigger than they are, to spend instilling fear
- 35:05inside of people to speak out against it and pretending that
- 35:08they're the majority when they're not.
- 35:09The majority of us know this is wrong and that we should protect
- 35:12children, protect life, protect women, and hopefully this is the
- 35:17moment in history where this shifts.
- 35:19I really think we have the momentum, the high ground, and
- 35:23this could be the moment where we stop this.
- 35:25I mean, for sure in the next 10 years, I believe this will be
- 35:28gone. You see, all these other
- 35:29countries in Europe, etcetera are banning it and only Canada
- 35:33and the US are moving forward it seems like.
- 35:36And there is also some states here that have banned it.
- 35:39And I'm thankful for that. But quite frankly, it's not
- 35:42enough. We need more people to speak up.
- 35:43We need legislation. We need to hold everyone
- 35:46accountable. Who's ever mutilated a child,
- 35:48They are not old enough to consent to sex, to surgery, to
- 35:52hormones. And I'm sorry that it has to
- 35:56come to that. But ultimately we cannot put up
- 35:58with evil. We have to stand up to it.
- 36:00It's such a good point on what you're saying that if they can't
- 36:03consent to sex, obviously any kind of sexual activity with a
- 36:07child is sexual abuse. It's horrific.
- 36:09But why is it OK to for a child to consent to consent to having
- 36:14their sexual organs removed or or adjusted or impacted through
- 36:19medications when they're not too young to consent to sex?
- 36:22Right. And you see D transitioners like
- 36:24Chloe Cole, who's amazing, come out and tell their story.
- 36:27How can you hear that and then still think it's a good idea to
- 36:30do this? And there's there's way more
- 36:31than just Chloe. There's, there's thousands of
- 36:34kids in the same boat or adults now who regret it.
- 36:38And it's just the evidence is so clear.
- 36:41There's the cast files from UK, the West Path files coming out
- 36:44of the United States. And we see that like these lies
- 36:46told the parents to coerce them into doing it.
- 36:49It happened to Elon Musk even, you know, you, you hear him tell
- 36:51his story. And I'm so thankful that he's
- 36:53going to move his businesses out of California over AB1955.
- 36:58You know, that's just such a big, big move for someone with
- 37:02so much power and influence to do something over a transgender
- 37:05bill. But.
- 37:07Are you planning to stay in California?
- 37:09I think that California is savable and that the majority of
- 37:13people here, like we discussed earlier, are against this and
- 37:16want to live good lives, truthful lives, and have a safe
- 37:20place for their kids. I totally agree.
- 37:22That's, I think that it's a matter of like, honestly, media
- 37:25in many ways and the power of social media to get the right
- 37:28messages out there and create the right in a way air cover for
- 37:32the right legislators and politicians to do the right
- 37:34thing. Because right now, if you look
- 37:36at most of media and entertainment media, it's so far
- 37:39left. And so people think that's what
- 37:41everyone thinks, even though the reality is most people are
- 37:43pretty reasonable. They really want common sense.
- 37:46They don't want these crazy ideologies.
- 37:49And you're you're an example of what it looks like to fight even
- 37:54when you're really faced with the thick of it.
- 37:56I mean, this is your kid, your child that you had to fight
- 37:59directly for. OK.
- 38:01What happened next with your the mom of Sawyer?
- 38:05So you're saying you're back to 5050 custody.
- 38:08You're still fighting. It's escalating.
- 38:10How did it go to full custody for you?
- 38:13Well, she at one point was trying to get full custody from
- 38:15you, right? Well, I mean, she just
- 38:17originally had full custody and I believe it just sort of stayed
- 38:21for half custody this whole time.
- 38:22She didn't try to change it too much.
- 38:24There was some small court disagreements during this time
- 38:28that you're asking about, as well as my appeal ongoing to get
- 38:31full custody and me thinking of any way of I can do anything to
- 38:34save him. And one day I'm just laying
- 38:37there and had a bunch of missed calls.
- 38:40And I checked it and it was the San Francisco police and they're
- 38:42telling me to pick up my son. It had been about an hour.
- 38:45I'd missed these calls. I was spending time with my now
- 38:48wife who's amazing and I met because of all of this.
- 38:51Congratulations. So yeah, I'm so thankful for
- 38:54that. It's like the most beautiful
- 38:56love story and it just seems so divine how we met.
- 39:00But yeah, so I called them back. I was like, I'll be there in one
- 39:04hour. I'm leaving right now.
- 39:05And I went and picked Sawyer up and I filed an ex parte the day
- 39:09after. I believe it was that or the day
- 39:11after that. I think it was the very next
- 39:13day, though, with my attorney requesting temporary full
- 39:16custody because of what had happened.
- 39:18And, you know, that's why the police called me and she was
- 39:21arrested for something like assault and battery and elder
- 39:26abuse. Yeah.
- 39:27I mean, I brought that to court. They denied.
- 39:29My ex parte extremely shocked me and my attorney thought that.
- 39:33They what does that mean? Deny your ex parte.
- 39:35They denied it pending hearing, but essentially there's an ex
- 39:38parte, there's an emergency custody order that the court has
- 39:40to take upon immediately. And essentially they have to
- 39:43take whatever you say is true. And now I'm not even sure that's
- 39:46a good thing. That's not really aligned with
- 39:47our justice system. But maybe it's good in some
- 39:50sense for because kids are seriously in danger as long as
- 39:53maybe if the parent lies, they're punished later for
- 39:55lying. But essentially they take these
- 39:57very seriously. And the court was told what
- 40:01happened and the allegations and they didn't.
- 40:05They denied it, which was shocking.
- 40:06But thankfully CPS San Francisco, CA stepped up and
- 40:11said that's OK, I'm not going to let him go back to her.
- 40:14We're going to make sure he's safe and keep him with you for
- 40:17the time being while we do our investigation.
- 40:19I feel like I just got incredible CPS workers that
- 40:24really cared about children and not about politics.
- 40:28Yeah, they they put politics aside, though.
- 40:30They did what's best for Sawyer and keeping him safe.
- 40:33And they ended up coming to the conclusion that what's best for
- 40:37Sawyer was to give me full physical and legal custody of
- 40:39them. Me and my attorney were in
- 40:42agreement with that. Sawyer's appointed attorney was
- 40:44in agreement with that, and there was only mom and her
- 40:46attorney that weren't. But we ended up settling it
- 40:48before court and I now have full physical custody of Sawyer,
- 40:52split legal custody, but with the decision making ability.
- 40:55And then there's a bunch of safety precautions when his mom
- 40:58gets to visit with him. Congratulations on getting full
- 41:01custody and can only imagine what a relief that must be for
- 41:04you. Yeah, thank you.
- 41:05It's it's wild. A few things here.
- 41:09So first of all, you got full custody, but the key the key
- 41:12point here though is it wasn't anything to do with her
- 41:15transing, trying to transition. You're now, he's now 4, Sawyer's
- 41:204, but it was more because of violence and her behavior that
- 41:26disqualified her before CPS to continue to have custody.
- 41:29So I bring that up because in the case that she wasn't being
- 41:33violent, if in the case that a spouse or a parent is not, let's
- 41:36just say, let me start that again.
- 41:38In the case that a parent is not being violent, they're maybe not
- 41:41abusing drugs or alcohol, but they're actively trying to
- 41:45transition a three-year old and the other parent says this is
- 41:49crazy, what are we doing right? Please stop.
- 41:52What would happen to the best of your knowledge, based on the
- 41:55current legal system and the court system in California, to a
- 41:59couple like that? Is there any standing for the
- 42:01parent that says please stop? Please stop transitioning a
- 42:03three-year old? Basically, you're at the mercy
- 42:05of the judge. I've had a lot of parents come
- 42:07out to me. I'm part of that Army and our
- 42:09duty. And unfortunately, there's cases
- 42:11like Jeff Younger and Adam Vena where they aren't seeing that
- 42:14their kid for that exact reason. And I think it's heartbreaking
- 42:17it it's totally dependent on the judge.
- 42:19There's basically no case law to my knowledge about this.
- 42:23I did make it a point for that trial to bring up the gender
- 42:26stuff. I did make it a point to bring
- 42:27it up to CPS. But that didn't really.
- 42:30Impact they. Didn't make an impact for them.
- 42:32They were like, I, I hear you, man, but like, let's just stay
- 42:35focused on her mental health and her violence.
- 42:38What kind of impact did you see on Sawyer for what his mother
- 42:42was trying to do with him in terms of transitioning him?
- 42:44Can you share more about that? Yeah, he would get very upset
- 42:48about it. He would tell me stories.
- 42:49There was a time where she took him to Disneyland and he said
- 42:52Dada. When I went to Disneyland, I
- 42:53couldn't go on the rides unless I wore my Princess shoes.
- 42:56And I didn't want to wear Princess shoes.
- 42:58I wanted to wear boy shoes. And, you know, that was
- 43:00heartbreaking. And I've just always done my
- 43:02best to just tell him, like, you're a boy, I'm a boy.
- 43:04We'll always be boys. Like, your grandpa's a boy, your
- 43:06uncle's a boy, Kevin's a boy. All these people.
- 43:08Right? And just like that can never
- 43:10change. Like, don't you see how none of
- 43:12us ever wear dresses or makeup? That's for a reason.
- 43:16Just I'm just so thankful that he, he knows he's a boy.
- 43:18I mean, if you even call him like girly, he'll just yell at
- 43:20you. I'm a boy, not a girl.
- 43:22So glad he has that rebellious spirit.
- 43:24He's a rebel and he just knows the truth and I just love him so
- 43:27much. I want him to be happy with who
- 43:28he is. So now that you have full
- 43:32custody of Sawyer, what does life look like for you guys?
- 43:35Now that I have forecast, your Sawyer life looks extremely
- 43:39optimistic and wonderful. And I just want to guide him,
- 43:44support him, love him, watch him grow, teach him things, have fun
- 43:49with him. Like we play all these sports
- 43:50like football and hockey and we ride motorcycles and we like
- 43:54fireworks and just all the coolest stuff ever that I'm so
- 43:58thankful my dad did with me. And I just try to do all these
- 44:01fun things with him and encourage him to grow and just
- 44:04try to teach him to be a good person and a good man and just
- 44:07instill values in him. And, you know, hopefully he'll
- 44:12have a larger family someday and he'll have his own family
- 44:16someday. And this will all be behind us.
- 44:19When you say hopefully he'll have a larger family, do you
- 44:21mean siblings? Yeah.
- 44:23That's awesome. Yeah.
- 44:25I'm as one of eight kids. Having siblings for me is like
- 44:28the best thing ever, especially as you get older.
- 44:30I'm one of four, so I totally agree.
- 44:32It's the best. What's your hope with your
- 44:35story, Harrison? What is your hope for what your
- 44:38story and the impact it can have in the world?
- 44:41I hope that my story can inspire other people to start to speak
- 44:45up about this, to start to speak what's in their mind and on
- 44:49their hearts, just to have courage.
- 44:51I hope that we can save kids. Hope we can save kids lives.
- 44:55I hope we can save kids from gender ideology.
- 44:57Hope we can start a movement to just draw a line in the sand and
- 45:01say no more. We're protecting kids no matter
- 45:04what. This stuff is wrong, we all know
- 45:06it. I hope that my story can just
- 45:09make the everyday person get off their couch and start to speak
- 45:14up. What are you planning to do in
- 45:16the future now that you've you've have custody of Sawyer?
- 45:19But now that you have won this victory, do you have plans for
- 45:23what you want to do? I mean, you're continuing to
- 45:24speak out, but do you have any other plans for what you want to
- 45:26do? I'm interested in starting a non
- 45:29profit to help kids battling through this.
- 45:31I think that that's something we're in need of.
- 45:34I think family courts are very flawed and I think that gender
- 45:37ideology should be nowhere near children.
- 45:40I am interested in just doing whatever it takes to ensure that
- 45:45we have a bright future for Sawyer and our grandkids and
- 45:49your kids. It's beautiful.
- 45:52Harrison, thank you so much for sharing your story and fighting
- 45:55for your son and being an inspiration to other people
- 45:57because I'm sure a lot of people have been encouraged by your
- 46:00example. Thank you so much for having me.
- 46:03Thanks so much for listening to this episode of the Lila Rose
- 46:05Podcast. We're going to be doing another
- 46:06news roundup soon. I will find some more positive
- 46:09news for you because this one was a heavy one.
- 46:11Please pray. Pray for the protection of all
- 46:13children born and unborn. Pray for this election.
- 46:17I mean, it is a tough one. We'll do another episode
- 46:19specifically on the different candidates beyond Kamala and
- 46:22Walls. But the reality is our country
- 46:24always is in need of your prayer, and it's always in need
- 46:27of you speaking the truth with love wherever you are, wherever
- 46:30you find yourself. I believe that if enough people
- 46:32pray and enough people live the truth and speak by the truth, we
- 46:35can change the face of the country.
- 46:37Thanks so much for listening to the show, and we'll see you next
- 46:39time. A huge thank you to our partner.
