- 2:14Speaker 1: just want to dive right in because I think I
- 2:17Speaker 1: got it here it is. Did you know that there
- 2:21Speaker 1: is a life for you that's greater than you could
- 2:27Speaker 1: have ever dreamed of? Did you know that there's a
- 2:31Speaker 1: life for you better than the one you've ever felt before?
- 2:36Speaker 1: And did you know that there was a life for
- 2:38Speaker 1: you much bigger than the one you wanted? And lastly,
- 2:47Speaker 1: did you know that what I just said it's true?
- 2:51Speaker 1: Did you know that? Did you know that the things
- 2:55Speaker 1: I just said are available to you? It's not just
- 3:01Speaker 1: intended for those who receive awards, It's for everybody. Yeah,
- 3:11Speaker 1: you two. It's for you who didn't get your high
- 3:17Speaker 1: school diploma. It's for you who are incarcerated. It's for
- 3:25Speaker 1: you who have two strikes. It's for you who've been
- 3:32Speaker 1: sentenced to life. It's for you who've gotten out and
- 3:38Speaker 1: have a felony record and can't seem to get it together.
- 3:40Speaker 1: It's for you who have an illness. It's for you
- 3:48Speaker 1: who the doctors have given up on. It's for you.
- 3:53Speaker 1: This life I'm talking about, it's for you. Did you
- 3:59Speaker 1: know that there's a life for you better than the
- 4:04Speaker 1: one you dreamed about, better than the one you've imagined,
- 4:08Speaker 1: a life better than the one you thought of, That
- 4:11Speaker 1: there's a life for you better than the one you've
- 4:13Speaker 1: ever felt before. There's a life for you better than
- 4:17Speaker 1: the one you saw for yourself. There's a better life
- 4:20Speaker 1: for you than the one you expected and even the
- 4:24Speaker 1: one you wanted. Did you know that this is true
- 4:29Speaker 1: for you? See, here's let me give you the secret
- 4:33Speaker 1: to this thing. Now you have to believe that it
- 4:38Speaker 1: is for you. Now, you got to fight through the doubts.
- 4:43Speaker 1: You got to fight through the wheel of satan. Because
- 4:45Speaker 1: the devil is busy man. The devil wants you to
- 4:47Speaker 1: think that is hopeless. The devil wants you to think
- 4:50Speaker 1: that this is it. The devil wants you to think
- 4:53Speaker 1: that ain't no more to it. The devil wants you
- 4:55Speaker 1: to think that this applies to other people. But you, Yeah,
- 4:59Speaker 1: you've been dealt the worst hand of them all, which
- 5:01Speaker 1: you ain't. But that's what the devil wants you to think.
- 5:03Speaker 1: So you gotta fight through. Now. You gotta fight through
- 5:07Speaker 1: to get to what I just said is available for you.
- 5:10Speaker 1: But what else you got to do? You ain't doing
- 5:12Speaker 1: nothing else, might as well fight? Why just wake up
- 5:15Speaker 1: and just let it be? Why would you wake up
- 5:18Speaker 1: every day and just exist when there's a chance for
- 5:21Speaker 1: you to actually live. See the reason I don't mind
- 5:24Speaker 1: smiling so much now is because I'm no longer existing.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'm living now. See. See, that's what you want to
- 5:31Speaker 1: get to. You don't want to exist to wake up
- 5:34Speaker 1: paycheck to paycheck, date today, not knowing, not understanding, not having,
- 5:40Speaker 1: can't can't get this, can't get that, can't go here,
- 5:43Speaker 1: can't go there, Gotta wait, gotta wait, gota wait, gota
- 5:46Speaker 1: wait till it seems like you never get nowhere. You
- 5:49Speaker 1: can get out of that rut of life feeling like
- 5:52Speaker 1: when you wake up in the morning, that your life
- 5:54Speaker 1: is whole hum that you're just in a rut. I
- 5:57Speaker 1: drive the same way to work. I do the same
- 5:59Speaker 1: thing on my job. When I get off, I drive
- 6:02Speaker 1: all the way back home. I sit there, I read
- 6:04Speaker 1: the newspaper. I water the lawn. I'm so sick of
- 6:08Speaker 1: my life. It ain't this, ain't what I wanted. Man
- 6:11Speaker 1: and start, wake up, start over, do the same thing.
- 6:14Speaker 1: Then the weekend gets in. You got to mow the lawn,
- 6:17Speaker 1: and then you try to fix something in the garage,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and you feel like your life is in the rut.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm talking about. If this feels like a rut to
- 6:23Speaker 1: you now, if it's what you've always wanted, I'm cool
- 6:26Speaker 1: with that. But I'm talking to people who want it more,
- 6:29Speaker 1: who would love their life to be more, who would
- 6:32Speaker 1: love their life to different, to be different. I'm not
- 6:34Speaker 1: criticizing you if I just described your life. I'm just
- 6:38Speaker 1: only talking to the ones who would dare to believe
- 6:42Speaker 1: that there's more to it than this. I'm only talking
- 6:45Speaker 1: to the ones who would dad dad to accept the challenge,
- 6:49Speaker 1: to fight through and see what God got for you.
- 6:53Speaker 1: Instead of listening to Satan all the time. Devil is busy, man,
- 6:57Speaker 1: Please understand, he's so busy, so busy, trying to trick you,
- 7:00Speaker 1: get you into the groove. You know they're doing all
- 7:03Speaker 1: kinds of stuff now, man, you know atheists and already
- 7:07Speaker 1: got prayer. Taking out of schools. Excuse me, look at
- 7:10Speaker 1: our skills schools, not as a push by the atheist
- 7:13Speaker 1: to get the words in God we trust, taking off
- 7:15Speaker 1: our money. Here's a deal. If you don't believe in God,
- 7:17Speaker 1: and you don't want trust in God, just going about
- 7:19Speaker 1: your business. But what you can't do is spill off
- 7:22Speaker 1: all into what I'm talking about. That's the problem I
- 7:25Speaker 1: have with all of them. If you're gonna do you,
- 7:27Speaker 1: didn't do you, but don't spill off into what I got. Now. See,
- 7:30Speaker 1: if you don't believe what I'm saying, then I ain't
- 7:32Speaker 1: talking to you. Let's just be clear about the relationship
- 7:35Speaker 1: with Steve Harvey and his crew. I'm only talking to
- 7:39Speaker 1: the people that believe that are looking for something else,
- 7:42Speaker 1: that wants something more, that wants something better, that's gotta
- 7:46Speaker 1: be out there searching and hoping and trying to do more.
- 7:49Speaker 1: That's all I'm talking to now. If you don't believe
- 7:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying it is true, didn't go ahead and
- 7:54Speaker 1: try it your way? Go see, write me, email me,
- 7:57Speaker 1: let me know how it's going for you. But I'm
- 8:00Speaker 1: telling you of a way that's tried and true. If
- 8:03Speaker 1: you go to God, if you go to your creator,
- 8:05Speaker 1: your makeup, if you go to him and you go
- 8:09Speaker 1: to him for real and tell him, hey, you know what,
- 8:13Speaker 1: I want you to go ahead and take over from here.
- 8:16Speaker 1: I'm done. I didn't done all I know how to
- 8:18Speaker 1: do out and tried everything I know how to try.
- 8:22Speaker 1: I'm sick of me right now. Hey look here, you
- 8:24Speaker 1: created me what you want me to do, and you're
- 8:27Speaker 1: a cool thing about it. When I made that decision,
- 8:29Speaker 1: y'all see, I was so afraid for years that I
- 8:32Speaker 1: was gonna miss out on something if I did that,
- 8:34Speaker 1: I couldn't do this no more. But the stuff I
- 8:36Speaker 1: needed to stop doing, I really need to stop. The
- 8:38Speaker 1: things I was afraid of not being able to do
- 8:41Speaker 1: anymore were the very same things I really didn't need
- 8:43Speaker 1: to be doing no more in the first place. On
- 8:46Speaker 1: the real man, on the real all that temporary fun
- 8:50Speaker 1: I was having all them temporary outlets. I was using
- 8:54Speaker 1: all them temporary things, trying to fulfill myself I was doing.
- 8:57Speaker 1: I was just doing a bunch of temporary mess man.
- 9:00Speaker 1: I said, hold up, man, I want something permanent. Man,
- 9:03Speaker 1: I want a permanent feeling in my heart that it's
- 9:06Speaker 1: gonna be all right. So he replaced all that fun
- 9:09Speaker 1: with joy. But it's only because I went and I
- 9:12Speaker 1: faced him. He didn't take me and stop me from
- 9:15Speaker 1: being me. He just made a better version of me. See, God,
- 9:20Speaker 1: don't take he because all the stuff he sent you through,
- 9:23Speaker 1: he needed you to go through all him. He needed
- 9:25Speaker 1: you to have him experience or what it felt like
- 9:27Speaker 1: to be locked up. He needed you to have experience
- 9:29Speaker 1: and know what it was to lose everything. He needed
- 9:32Speaker 1: you to have experience to make you tough. You're just
- 9:35Speaker 1: gonna be a tough one. I'm a tough soldier in
- 9:39Speaker 1: his army. That's all I just say. One of the
- 9:41Speaker 1: weak ones. I protect the weak ones. God didn't take
- 9:46Speaker 1: a lot of stuff from it, except the stuff I needed.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But the stuff he made me to be, He allowed
- 9:52Speaker 1: me to keep it, and he just made a better me.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Do that, y'all, and you can have what you want.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening, ladies, gentlemen, everybody, anybody, somebody who that down?
- 10:17Speaker 1: Do I have your attention? That's good because I need
- 10:21Speaker 1: it because what I'm about to say now can only
- 10:25Speaker 1: be said by a very very small minute group of people.
- 10:31Speaker 1: It's about six of us, to be exact. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:36Speaker 1: Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Now I can
- 10:42Speaker 1: introduce you to that small group of people that can
- 10:46Speaker 1: say that. Sharon Strawberry ain't good morning, Steve, Good morning,

- 11:07Speaker 1: I might gonna ever work Mississippi monocle up the duo
- 11:13Speaker 1: moaning and the dude that told you it was a
- 11:17Speaker 1: small group that said it me. And if you don't
- 11:26Speaker 1: know who I am, I don't know what to tell you.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Everybody knows you. Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, we are here.

- 11:39Speaker 1: The sun ain't up yet, but I showed praise God
- 11:43Speaker 1: I am. And if you let me live and see
- 11:46Speaker 1: another crack of dawn, I give you. My word, I'm
- 11:51Speaker 1: gonna do everything in my power to say thank you
- 11:55Speaker 1: by taking this day and taking full advantage of it.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I probably you Lord that I will make a concerted
- 12:03Speaker 1: effort to forward and progress myself, to make myself better,
- 12:08Speaker 1: and to do something today to make you proud of me.
- 12:14Speaker 1: That's what I'm gonna do today. Anybody else gonna join
- 12:18Speaker 1: in with that? All right? Am? I'm there? He raised up.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Let's go. I'm like, how you think this morning? Sir?

- 15:30Speaker 1: I just came back home from overseas, from fighting and everything. Man.
- 15:33Speaker 1: And uh, I mean, you know my pops just passed
- 15:36Speaker 1: away not too long ago. And I ain't you know,
- 15:39Speaker 1: I ain't too keen or my mama going out with
- 15:42Speaker 1: somebody and beside you. You don't even sound like you. Hey,

- 16:33Speaker 1: I was calling you. Second of all, I'm calling and
- 16:35Speaker 1: speak with her. I'm not calling trying to get permission
- 16:38Speaker 1: from you. Miss Burns is a grown woman, and whoa, whoa,
- 16:42Speaker 1: whoa talking about I don't think you're every man. I
- 16:44Speaker 1: just came back from fighting overseed. My pops passed away
- 16:47Speaker 1: not too long ago. I am the man of the house.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Let's get that straight right now, all right. I don't
- 16:52Speaker 1: care if I'm still living at home or not. I'm
- 16:54Speaker 1: the man of this house, all right. You calling the
- 16:57Speaker 1: ass my mama on a date, you might as well
- 17:00Speaker 1: just stick to church, dog, because you know, as I said,
- 17:03Speaker 1: be blessed, But it ain't gonna be no blessing from
- 17:05Speaker 1: me to you. I tell you that right now. Okay,
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm not looking for a blessing from you at all. Bro.
- 17:12Speaker 1: You might now got blessing, but I respect the fact
- 17:16Speaker 1: that you've been overseas and you've been fighting for this country. Okay,
- 17:19Speaker 1: But if I decide I want to speak to Miss
- 17:21Speaker 1: Burns about going out, I think Miss Burns has every
- 17:24Speaker 1: right to decide if she would like to go out
- 17:26Speaker 1: with gordons a note, and Gordon wants to take her out.
- 17:29Speaker 1: I took up. Hold up, look, bro, I don't care
- 17:33Speaker 1: how old you say you are. All right, Number one,
- 17:35Speaker 1: you're too young, as I already mentioned. All right, this
- 17:38Speaker 1: ain't going down with you and my mama. I'm straight up,
- 17:42Speaker 1: hey man. That's for your mamma to decide. No dog
- 17:45Speaker 1: that you you bringing up my mamma. You're letting the
- 17:47Speaker 1: word your mama come out your mouth again. That's gonna
- 17:49Speaker 1: get you up, all right. I don't know where you're from.
- 17:52Speaker 1: I don't get how old you are. I'm pretty stick.
- 17:56Speaker 1: I know what church my mamma go to and and
- 17:58Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be her in you. You ain't gonna
- 18:00Speaker 1: be asking her out, all right. I don't give what
- 18:03Speaker 1: it takes. I will show up on Sunday, catch up
- 18:06Speaker 1: in the pulpit or wherever you're gonna be sitting in
- 18:09Speaker 1: the back of the choir. It don't matter something's going down.
- 18:12Speaker 1: You will not gonna get with my mama like that.
- 18:15Speaker 1: You got that. That's up for your mama to decide.
- 18:17Speaker 1: If your mamma want to go out with me to
- 18:19Speaker 1: out dinner. I ain't looking long with this man, I'm
- 18:21Speaker 1: I'm deciding it right now. It ain't gonna happen. I
- 18:25Speaker 1: told you before, be blessed or get your whoop. You
- 18:28Speaker 1: got two choices, all right, I didn't fight. Let's see
- 18:31Speaker 1: these three years to come back and also deal with
- 18:34Speaker 1: my daddy did and then come back. If I'm suffering
- 18:37Speaker 1: from PSD, dog, I don't know what I'm gonna do
- 18:40Speaker 1: unless you want to get it like that. Suffer from
- 18:43Speaker 1: one a PSD post traumatic stress syndrome, and I will
- 18:47Speaker 1: release all that on you got that. I don't play. Hey, man, listen,
- 18:52Speaker 1: I don't want no trouble. It don't matter to me.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You can catch you. Okay, Look man, listen, I ain't
- 18:57Speaker 1: trying to have no trouble about you. Man. All I'm
- 18:59Speaker 1: gonna say is this right here. I'm I'm gonna I
- 19:02Speaker 1: talk to you mom on Sunday. Okay, you ain't gonna
- 19:04Speaker 1: tell them? Are you not hearing me? Man? I'm okay,
- 19:07Speaker 1: I'm crazy right now? Okay? Can I say this? Can
- 19:10Speaker 1: I say one more things? Can you? Manfo you explode?
- 19:12Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing else to say? I got one
- 19:14Speaker 1: more thing before you explode? Man? Is you listening? Yeah? Man, James.
- 19:19Speaker 1: What hey, man, I want to tell you this. Man.
- 19:21Speaker 1: This is Lepthew Tommy from the Steve Harvey Morning Show.

- 20:01Speaker 1: baddest and I mean the baddest radio show in the lane? Man,
- 20:05Speaker 1: Nothing but the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Get it overseason
- 20:09Speaker 1: in the States though. Thanks man, you always you know
- 20:16Speaker 1: you did. Yes, you play so much. Don't already know?

- 20:40Speaker 1: We're all gathering around the Thanksgiving table dinner conversations, it
- 20:44Speaker 1: can be a little tent you know. So we just
- 20:46Speaker 1: want you guys to prepare with some phrases that you
- 20:50Speaker 1: should avoid at holiday dinners so we can just, you know,
- 20:53Speaker 1: all have a good time with our family and friends. Okay,
- 20:56Speaker 1: Like for instance, yeah, okay, for instance, Steve Um, when
- 21:01Speaker 1: you start a sentence with you should have you should have?
- 21:05Speaker 1: You know, the words should you know, can make a
- 21:09Speaker 1: person feel judged or disappointed. You see where I'm going
- 21:13Speaker 1: with that? You should have left somebody else fire? Yeah? Yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 1: that's hurtful. Yeah, yeah, you should have. You should have
- 21:23Speaker 1: left the marshmallows acting yam, that's like that. I'm with you.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I'm with you on that. Feelings are not hurt. How
- 21:33Speaker 1: about this? I know it's pot luck, but you should
- 21:35Speaker 1: have just came. Ain't no luck in your Yeah? Stuff
- 21:48Speaker 1: like that, Steve, you got it? Or you know, avoid
- 21:51Speaker 1: saying that, Yeah, avoid saying this, you know, because this
- 21:54Speaker 1: is definitely this could start one right here. Um, can
- 21:58Speaker 1: you believe what your president just did? You can't start? Yeah? Yeah,
- 22:04Speaker 1: it can lead to an argument and a fight, you know. Politics.
- 22:07Speaker 1: Everybody in agreement on my family and my family all
- 22:10Speaker 1: good with that. That's gonna get the party popping right there.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Oh okay, all right, you're not gonna avoid saying that.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Oh no, no, no. You can talk politics at my house.
- 22:18Speaker 1: Everybody at my house in the same political mindset. You
- 22:22Speaker 1: don't have, you kid, you are Republican at the table.
- 22:29Speaker 1: You need to keep it. You won't be Okay, let's
- 22:36Speaker 1: get back to my daddy's house. Uh huh, let's get
- 22:39Speaker 1: back to the food for a minute. How about this one.
- 22:42Speaker 1: You know, the best turkey I ever had was not
- 22:46Speaker 1: this say it again. The best turkey I ever had
- 22:56Speaker 1: was was my mama. Say that. Yeah, that'll set it off, Steve.
- 23:05Speaker 1: If you say something, you don't have to always tell
- 23:09Speaker 1: the truth. Though, No, no, no, no, Shelly wants again. Well,
- 23:16Speaker 1: y'all need to make up. Y'all, man, you all want
- 23:18Speaker 1: us to be trumb or you won't ease last did
- 23:21Speaker 1: we good? We're lying on Thanksgiving? Tell the truth. It's
- 23:24Speaker 1: a good time to ask that question. Yeah, you know, like, uh,
- 23:31Speaker 1: if you start a sentence with when are you going
- 23:33Speaker 1: to learn how to cook? Don't do that. When you're
- 23:42Speaker 1: gonna finally let him go. Okay, that's the one, because
- 23:47Speaker 1: you don't want to make anyone feel defensive or put
- 23:50Speaker 1: anyone on the spot or anything like that. When is
- 23:53Speaker 1: you gonna stop using? Drup wow? Question? Yeah, I'm just
- 24:02Speaker 1: telling what you're gonna come out. I don't know why
- 24:04Speaker 1: we see acting like it. Ain't wed. I don't know
- 24:06Speaker 1: what's wrong with you. I want to go to your house,
- 24:08Speaker 1: but just come out in fifteen minutes. You ain't gonna
- 24:12Speaker 1: be able to take you. You're lying fifteen if it
- 24:16Speaker 1: starts off with that, yeah, I believe you. Jus walking
- 24:19Speaker 1: the dough. When is you gonna stop using you? You
- 24:24Speaker 1: show up? Ever? You're looking like this? How about this
- 24:29Speaker 1: right here? No? How about this right here? Since some
- 24:32Speaker 1: boy where I could see where you going? Where? Ye?
- 24:38Speaker 1: Bathroom ain't that way? Ain't no bathroom that way? And
- 24:44Speaker 1: you know, trying not to open up a conversation or
- 24:47Speaker 1: start a sentence with when are you going to don't
- 24:52Speaker 1: do that one? Or remember the time you yourself? No, yeah,
- 25:00Speaker 1: that's cool, my uncle Everett. Thanks having used to go
- 25:06Speaker 1: he was drum ain't nobody won't did bust out laughing,
- 25:18Speaker 1: everybody laughing. But wait a minute, wait a minute, hold up,
- 25:22Speaker 1: did you hear about. Don't start it with that one,
- 25:25Speaker 1: because that could mean, yeah, you're gossiping about you know
- 25:28Speaker 1: somebody about your husband. What what did you hear about
- 25:34Speaker 1: your husband? Oh, that's gonna get it started right there
- 25:37Speaker 1: in the back room with Coral Cora. Not Cora Cora. Yeah,
- 25:44Speaker 1: those are just conversation starters. You don't do that. Yeah,
- 25:48Speaker 1: all that's gonna happen Thanksgiving, thirst Trust me, it's gonna happen. Well,
- 25:53Speaker 1: I'll admit this. None of that happens at my house
- 25:55Speaker 1: because I have no one at my house on Thanksgiving.
- 26:00Speaker 1: As big as you create, nobody created, no drumma, not
- 26:03Speaker 1: at my house. Oh oh okay, I thought you were
- 26:05Speaker 1: saying you had no one at your house. I was like,
- 26:07Speaker 1: as big as your family is, Steve, Oh, the house
- 26:10Speaker 1: gonna be packed. Yeah. I don't do druma. Yeah, not
- 26:14Speaker 1: at the house. Everybody knows. Don't ask me to play.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I don't do that. You know, the game night, I
- 26:19Speaker 1: might come in there for a couple of minutes, but
- 26:20Speaker 1: that's it. Y'all know what I'm doing. I'm gonna eat
- 26:23Speaker 1: and I'm sitting in front of this TV. Oh, I'm
- 26:26Speaker 1: staring at it and sometimes you're gonna come in there
- 26:29Speaker 1: and the TV gonna be staying at me. Just walk
- 26:32Speaker 1: back out, don't come in here, just in the heat.
- 26:35Speaker 1: I want it. This won't keep people five places on.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Don't cut it all so you don't mind them being
- 26:42Speaker 1: in your house. A lot of people just don't bother you.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Let you have your space. Yeah both. Marjorie's really good
- 26:50Speaker 1: at that too, because she tells them this Steve that
- 26:52Speaker 1: Steve all don't bring your friends and your friends won't
- 26:56Speaker 1: pitch it. Oh god, yeah, yeah, that ain't happen. Meanwhile,
- 27:03Speaker 1: at our house, all they want to talk about is you. Yes, Steve,
- 27:09Speaker 1: come on. Yeah. I just hate when they want me
- 27:13Speaker 1: to tell Steve something Footy always tell him give them.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Can you just give this to Steve for me? This
- 27:22Speaker 1: a bestseller? Right? We just get it to Steve. I'm
- 27:25Speaker 1: not going to get the one kill me. Okay, I
- 27:29Speaker 1: got this book of mine. I want you to read.
- 27:32Speaker 1: I didn't read the foe I wrote. Thank you. Coming
- 27:36Speaker 1: up more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 27:40Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right. This is
- 27:45Speaker 1: according to a new survey. Guys, the average American will
- 27:48Speaker 1: spend about one hundred and sixty five dollars and some
- 27:51Speaker 1: change on Thanksgiving dinner this year. Uh huh overall. Yeah,
- 27:56Speaker 1: that sounds per person. Yeah, that sounds really low per person. Perfect, Yeah,
- 28:01Speaker 1: just that's average, that's the average. Yeah, they average it out. Yeah,
- 28:05Speaker 1: the high and the low, and they average it overall.
- 28:09Speaker 1: Two point ninety eight billion, that's almost three billion will
- 28:13Speaker 1: be spent in the US on Thanksgiving dinner, with fifty
- 28:16Speaker 1: two million turkeys expected to be consumed. Fifty two fifty
- 28:22Speaker 1: two million turkeys expected to be the turkeys right now,
- 28:27Speaker 1: so nerve case I got nobody you know, when he
- 28:52Speaker 1: get it? No, you have got ten years, you know,
- 28:56Speaker 1: one Halloween turn? Isn't you think? What's a turkey? Does
- 29:05Speaker 1: have an explorade? Yeah? Soon they get it, so they
- 29:09Speaker 1: get it right, Yeah, he already know going in. Man,
- 29:13Speaker 1: what's the average? What's the lifespan of a turkey? Right? Yeah?
- 29:17Speaker 1: I don't know. Probably they No, I don't think it
- 29:20Speaker 1: is that long. But don't you feel badly talking about
- 29:23Speaker 1: it right now? But you don't at Thanksgiving? Like I
- 29:28Speaker 1: got a friend that's a turkey. I don't have a friend.
- 29:31Speaker 1: I don't really care. I'm a friends with turkeys I
- 29:34Speaker 1: have don't say that the average lifespan of a turkey
- 29:37Speaker 1: is ten years really, but that's probably a wild turkey
- 29:42Speaker 1: ten years old. But they get all their life listens. Really, No,
- 29:44Speaker 1: that's a wild turkey. Wild turkey. Okay, okay, So like
- 29:48Speaker 1: a turkey got to know he ball? What's what's the
- 29:50Speaker 1: age of how do you know? I think about a
- 29:55Speaker 1: year and a half, about a year and a half.
- 29:58Speaker 1: You know, they inject him pretty good. It fatten them up. Yeah,
- 30:01Speaker 1: they'd be swollen, they'd be just big ass baby. Yeah
- 30:05Speaker 1: with water, luck y'all slowed up. So I do have
- 30:10Speaker 1: some ways that people can save money on their Thanksgiving meal.
- 30:14Speaker 1: And you know, of course guys jump in here. So
- 30:17Speaker 1: like if you're hosting the dinner, if you're if the
- 30:19Speaker 1: dinner's at your house, you want to save money, make
- 30:21Speaker 1: it a pot luck, they're saying, so all the expenses
- 30:24Speaker 1: don't fall on that last year. That is not a
- 30:29Speaker 1: good idea. She we disagree with pot luck. Somebody always
- 30:33Speaker 1: got something in the pot that ain't lucky to nobody.
- 30:36Speaker 1: But you look, what the hell, it's always full at
- 30:44Speaker 1: the end. That's my ham hock lime of being castle
- 30:49Speaker 1: it's always full. It's always full at the end of
- 30:51Speaker 1: the night. Why doesn't that see that? Nobody ate that
- 30:55Speaker 1: up the street my boys on sending every year sent
- 31:00Speaker 1: to our house. Now, imagine the casserole dishes, the ones
- 31:05Speaker 1: you like Corning Castle ground. Yeah, picture it full of
- 31:11Speaker 1: lima beans. To the picture in potatoes, whole ball potatoes
- 31:17Speaker 1: split right in half. Whole potato. The whole ball of
- 31:21Speaker 1: potatoes split in half. Now line them up around the
- 31:25Speaker 1: outside of the cast roll dish. Looked like a fence
- 31:28Speaker 1: made out of teeth, and then put a ham hawk
- 31:33Speaker 1: in the middle of the lima beans. She sent that
- 31:35Speaker 1: down every famous lima bean casserole, and who eat lima
- 31:42Speaker 1: beans with potatoes? And the potatoes split in half, and
- 31:45Speaker 1: she lines the flat side up on the middle, you
- 31:49Speaker 1: know the flat side of where you cut the potatoes,
- 31:52Speaker 1: that's facing the middle, so the outside looked like teeth,
- 31:56Speaker 1: and then a ham hawk in the middle. She sent
- 31:59Speaker 1: that down the house every year. My daddy he wanted
- 32:03Speaker 1: to go up there because if my mama kept stopping,
- 32:07Speaker 1: my daddy was so bad. But but who the hell
- 32:10Speaker 1: she think we are? Why she think we find eat this?
- 32:13Speaker 1: We can cook down here? Think old dog. He was
- 32:17Speaker 1: so mad at her mate's given Castle role days. That's
- 32:21Speaker 1: when everybody think they're supposed to bring You got some
- 32:24Speaker 1: people that it's just easily Castle don't do it. Why well,
- 32:29Speaker 1: let me ask a cute person on the show, Tommy,
- 32:32Speaker 1: what is that dish not calling? I don't know he
- 32:41Speaker 1: find that? Lad, y'all know I say that. Hey, hold y'all,
- 32:50Speaker 1: don't hear him arguing about that? Just blushing? Yeah, thank
- 32:56Speaker 1: your uncle recognizing what is time? What is the dish
- 33:01Speaker 1: that you famous for making on things? Yeah? It was
- 33:05Speaker 1: definitely and macaronia cheese. What's your Steve? Mine is Jesse Yams.
- 33:10Speaker 1: I don't make nothing else that Thanksgiving and my mother
- 33:13Speaker 1: in lawdon took over. I don't even do that no more.
- 33:16Speaker 1: What's your junior swallowing? You know you show up for
- 33:21Speaker 1: swa tell you something? You can't be saying that a lot? Okay,
- 33:26Speaker 1: you don't go around telling people for Thanksgiving? I do.
- 33:29Speaker 1: She didn't say that. You didn't see that you famous swallowing?
- 33:34Speaker 1: You don't don't pick that out there like that. I'm
- 33:36Speaker 1: just telling you, Wow, Jay, you're gonna do like that.
- 33:39Speaker 1: You're trying to save the question of your jokes is
- 33:44Speaker 1: gonna have to be read. That was I don't cook nothing,
- 33:48Speaker 1: carl it. What's your favorite dish? Thank you, mac and
- 33:52Speaker 1: cheese to make. But I love my mother in laws
- 33:55Speaker 1: oyster dressing. She can make some dressing my mother laws
- 33:58Speaker 1: and then my father la gumbo. Yeah, yeah, I don't.
- 34:02Speaker 1: I can't eat it anymore, right, chicken? Put it in
- 34:05Speaker 1: a paper bag and shake it up with the flower
- 34:07Speaker 1: in it. That's how you fried chicken. Put it in
- 34:09Speaker 1: that bag and shake it. You can't No, I can't, frien.
- 34:12Speaker 1: You can't do it right chicken? Okay because you gave
- 34:15Speaker 1: up meat. No, because I'm a diabetic that shouldn't be eating.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Can't eat chicken. So you're just not gonna ask me.
- 34:21Speaker 1: Huh no, no, we already know not to ask. A
- 34:25Speaker 1: matter of fact, we'll be back talk to you. You
- 34:27Speaker 1: get your own break. You're listening show. Well, Uh, Jay

- 34:44Speaker 1: you've written another book book. What is this your ape?
- 34:48Speaker 1: Was that? What was that? I love that? I love

- 35:04Speaker 1: this is my newest book. This is my newest book.

- 38:10Speaker 1: we will do the damn thing. All right, Here we
- 38:14Speaker 1: go the five categories. Number one excuses people use who
- 38:18Speaker 1: owe you money? All right? Number two doctors don't always
- 38:24Speaker 1: know what they're talking about. Number three, why are you talking?
- 38:33Speaker 1: Your team sucks? Okay? Number four? Oh, number four, Um,

- 39:46Speaker 1: trying to fig out. I don't even know what is
- 39:50Speaker 1: this still main. Let me tell you something. When you're
- 39:55Speaker 1: riding and you're in the middle of nowhere and you
- 39:57Speaker 1: see a sign that say ten miles to Jurassic Man,
- 40:01Speaker 1: your answer, lost man, I shouldn't know so many of you. Yeah,
- 40:16Speaker 1: when you're driving it and you mutter to yourself that
- 40:20Speaker 1: at damn house. Here's when you know. You know you
- 40:31Speaker 1: make a right turn and it's a no exit, it's
- 40:35Speaker 1: you right in the coach. This is when you know
- 40:44Speaker 1: you anytime you got to put your car in reverse
- 40:49Speaker 1: and look over your shoulder all the way. When you
- 41:01Speaker 1: ride and you see one store and get out and
- 41:03Speaker 1: this white man say you got any where you are?
- 41:11Speaker 1: That's scarier. You get out of stop side and you go,
- 41:16Speaker 1: what a tree that used to do? Right there? There
- 41:21Speaker 1: was a tree ride right when you're driving and you
- 41:27Speaker 1: stopped and the guy said, cherious, Like the last time
- 41:30Speaker 1: I told you, keep telling you that directions, directions like
- 41:37Speaker 1: you know you long, I'm done this question when you
- 41:41Speaker 1: tell you gotta lean out your pass in your window
- 41:43Speaker 1: and say, my man, my man ain't a man. You

- 41:56Speaker 1: you know what, I'm gonna leave my car and get

- 42:03Speaker 1: all right? You know you lost if you ever say
- 42:06Speaker 1: these three words right here. Yeah, excuse me, little boy?

- 43:39Speaker 1: are you calling me? Okay, you're no, that's cool right there.
- 43:42Speaker 1: I understand all that you calling me to tell me
- 43:45Speaker 1: to child together something with you. I don't care about
- 43:47Speaker 1: what you do mean not together, I don't. I don't
- 43:50Speaker 1: give a damn about what you Okay, okay, no, no,
- 43:53Speaker 1: no player. I understand that what I was calling you
- 43:55Speaker 1: about was, you know, you kind of behind like two
- 44:00Speaker 1: months on the on the child support man, and I
- 44:03Speaker 1: told I was gonna handle this well. I told her
- 44:06Speaker 1: I was gonna handle this situation, you know. So now
- 44:09Speaker 1: I don't need you to handle nothing. You don't need
- 44:12Speaker 1: to be worried about about how many months I'm behind?
- 44:15Speaker 1: Who the hell telling you all this? Anyway? When when?
- 44:18Speaker 1: When can we expect another payment? That's what I'm asking you.
- 44:21Speaker 1: First of all, don't you ever call my phone? With that,
- 44:25Speaker 1: you understand me. Don't call my phone man, because I

- 45:22Speaker 1: I've been doing ever since she came in as well.
- 45:24Speaker 1: That's what I've been doing. Ever since she got here.
- 45:27Speaker 1: I've been looking out for her well being. And I'm
- 45:30Speaker 1: come just getting a picture. You want to tell me
- 45:32Speaker 1: about my daughter well being quick? Whereas you three months

- 45:49Speaker 1: I do for my daughter for I do for myself.
- 45:52Speaker 1: So if I ain't got it to saying that means

- 46:26Speaker 1: situation back being behind on this, you know, this little
- 46:29Speaker 1: child to pull situation. That's all I'm saying. I need
- 46:32Speaker 1: you to going on and give me a date man

- 48:06Speaker 1: I'm glass y'all doing good because she anyway, But don't

- 48:15Speaker 1: you need to get out your and look in between
- 48:17Speaker 1: your cheeks and go find you something, find you a
- 48:21Speaker 1: manhood sitting up there, probably on the couch, eating up
- 48:24Speaker 1: all up pop tarts. And I've only had two of
- 48:26Speaker 1: them pop tarts, man, that's all. You ain't supped to
- 48:29Speaker 1: be having none of them because I bought that for
- 48:31Speaker 1: my daughter. Man, and I appreciate you eating none of that.
- 48:34Speaker 1: Over that. You need to get off and feed yourself

- 49:00Speaker 1: you something, man, let me tell you something. Put your
- 49:02Speaker 1: here to this phone real close. Man. I'm literally about

- 49:57Speaker 1: you hear me. The only thing I'm gonna deal with
- 49:59Speaker 1: you is my put up yours. I got one more
- 50:03Speaker 1: thing I need to say to you, man. I don't
- 50:05Speaker 1: want to hear nothing else you got to say. Player.
- 50:07Speaker 1: I didn't heard everything you had to say. Let me
- 50:09Speaker 1: tell you something, man. You want a job were hiring.

- 50:15Speaker 1: get you a job. Nobody want to work with you. Man,
- 50:17Speaker 1: I don't like your attitude. You need to work with
- 50:19Speaker 1: somebody because you ain't working with nobody right now. I

- 50:24Speaker 1: that you're listening, man, say what the hell you got
- 50:26Speaker 1: to say? Man, this is nephew Timmy from the Steve
- 50:29Speaker 1: Harvey Morning and I don't give them say man, I
- 50:31Speaker 1: don't care who you are. I don't play up by

- 50:38Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. You just got pranked by your cousin Kendrick. Man.
- 50:44Speaker 1: Oh man, I'm gonna kill it you all right, oh now, Man,

- 51:48Speaker 1: reading your letter live on the air, just like we're
- 51:50Speaker 1: gonna read this one right here today. Okay, buckle up,
- 51:54Speaker 1: hold long type. We got it for you here. It
- 51:55Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter subject. That's not what Steve Harvey
- 51:59Speaker 1: wrote in that book. Dear Stephen, Shirley, my best friend
- 52:02Speaker 1: and I. You're gonna like it. Steve, my best friend
- 52:04Speaker 1: and I have been really close for seventeen years, but
- 52:07Speaker 1: now we are constantly bickering over her twisted ideas of
- 52:11Speaker 1: love and marriage. She has always taken an interest in
- 52:14Speaker 1: reading books about male and female relationships, but her favorite
- 52:18Speaker 1: book is Steve Harvey's Act like a Lady, Think like
- 52:20Speaker 1: a Man, and she has twisted each chapter to fit
- 52:24Speaker 1: how she chooses to live. In the past, she has
- 52:28Speaker 1: dated great guys, but she would break up with the
- 52:30Speaker 1: guys if they didn't have any desire to take care
- 52:33Speaker 1: of her financially. She brings nothing to the table, and
- 52:37Speaker 1: she lives paycheck to paycheck. She has a new guy
- 52:40Speaker 1: that she is dating and he has a great job,
- 52:43Speaker 1: so she's happy. She brags about how he helps her
- 52:46Speaker 1: with her bills and he gives her money to shop.
- 52:49Speaker 1: She has told me that he makes comments about her
- 52:52Speaker 1: current living conditions because she lives with her parents and
- 52:55Speaker 1: she uses their car. I told her that he is
- 52:58Speaker 1: making those comments for reason, because she maintained that she
- 53:02Speaker 1: will not move out or buy her own car, because
- 53:05Speaker 1: if a man has an issue with it, he will
- 53:07Speaker 1: get her a nice place of her own and buy
- 53:10Speaker 1: her a new car. She said that Steve Harvey's book
- 53:13Speaker 1: says that males are hunters and that all all the
- 53:16Speaker 1: women need to do is stay pretty with her hair together,
- 53:20Speaker 1: nails and toes done, and a man will come in
- 53:23Speaker 1: and take care of everything else. What gir up right now?
- 53:29Speaker 1: Whoa Carlin? Lets Lee? Okay, we're doing this all wrong,
- 53:33Speaker 1: according to her, all right, the lady, the letter writer says.
- 53:40Speaker 1: She said that Steve Harvey said that it's a woman's
- 53:44Speaker 1: role to take care of her man, raise the kids,
- 53:46Speaker 1: and keep the house together. I read Steve Harvey's book,
- 53:49Speaker 1: and nowhere in there doesn't say that I need you
- 53:53Speaker 1: to clear this up because she listens to the show
- 53:55Speaker 1: every day. So do men want women to bring something
- 53:58Speaker 1: to the table or is really the man's role to
- 54:01Speaker 1: step in and do it all? Well, let me start
- 54:06Speaker 1: by saying, you're so right a letter writer, You're so right,
- 54:11Speaker 1: so on point. It's not so much about a woman
- 54:15Speaker 1: bringing something to the table, you know. It's about the
- 54:19Speaker 1: attitude of your bestie thinking that men owe her something
- 54:24Speaker 1: just because that's what she's saying in this letter. I mean,
- 54:28Speaker 1: that's where she's she's got it all twisted. A man
- 54:31Speaker 1: will do that, they'll they'll do that and more for
- 54:33Speaker 1: her if she has the means, if he has the
- 54:36Speaker 1: means and the desire to. But that's up to him,
- 54:39Speaker 1: all right, that's not up to her. My advice to
- 54:42Speaker 1: her would be save some of her money while she's
- 54:45Speaker 1: staying with mom and dad, just in case her man,
- 54:47Speaker 1: you know, doesn't move her out and doesn't buy her car.
- 54:51Speaker 1: At least then she'll be able to afford her own place,
- 54:53Speaker 1: in her own car, with her own money. And you know,
- 54:56Speaker 1: of course it's nice to have someone buy and give
- 54:59Speaker 1: you gifts and stuff like that, take care of you,
- 55:01Speaker 1: and all you have to do is sit there and
- 55:02Speaker 1: look pretty. That's nice. But just sitting around and waiting
- 55:06Speaker 1: for a man to do that, it's just not very smart. Okay,
- 55:10Speaker 1: get out, get your own, be your own boss. Whatever
- 55:13Speaker 1: the man does for you, that's gravy. That's extra. He
- 55:16Speaker 1: owes you nothing, okay, absolutely nothing. And Steve said, nothing
- 55:22Speaker 1: of the kind? What book did you read? What book
- 55:24Speaker 1: did you read? He said, nothing of the kind? Did you?
- 55:26Speaker 1: Steve Roby helped me write the book. Yes, that ain't
- 55:30Speaker 1: in now, ain't nobody told you that. Go somewhere and
- 55:34Speaker 1: sit on your ass, just look pretty, and that's it.
- 55:38Speaker 1: I don't even want to be in this left. Just
- 55:41Speaker 1: straighten her out, Steve. That's not what Steve hard wrote
- 55:43Speaker 1: in his book. I appreciate you saying that, lady book
- 55:46Speaker 1: your friend is seventeen years got all these twisted ideas
- 55:49Speaker 1: about love and made she interested in reading books about
- 55:52Speaker 1: male and female relationships. But her favorite book is one
- 55:56Speaker 1: I wrote. Act like a lady, Think like a man
- 55:58Speaker 1: now the passion and David some good, but she break
- 56:01Speaker 1: up with them if they didn't have any desire to
- 56:03Speaker 1: take care of her finance. Girl, Well this day two three,
- 56:11Speaker 1: let me show you this I bought in my purse.
- 56:15Speaker 1: You see these stack of bills. Now we're going back
- 56:18Speaker 1: to your place or what, But we need to go
- 56:21Speaker 1: through these bills. You know you ain't. You ain't fend
- 56:28Speaker 1: to pay these bill Oh, you get your ass out
- 56:32Speaker 1: of here. I ain't sleeping with you no more. She
- 56:35Speaker 1: brings nothing to the table, and she lived paycheck to paycheck,
- 56:41Speaker 1: and she's dating this new guy. Got a great job,
- 56:44Speaker 1: so she happened. She brags about he helps her with
- 56:46Speaker 1: her bills and gives her money to shop. Now, she's
- 56:50Speaker 1: not telling you what she's doing to get these little
- 56:53Speaker 1: car notes in the shopping's breathe she up and help
- 56:58Speaker 1: or her back? What? Wow? She up in hell letting
- 57:11Speaker 1: it go. She don't bring nothing to the table. She
- 57:15Speaker 1: is the table. I'm telling you right now, y'all put
- 57:22Speaker 1: looking at these letters without seeing was in here? He
- 57:27Speaker 1: a new guy, pay her bills, gives her money to shop.
- 57:33Speaker 1: All this hell because she up in hell? Or hop
- 57:37Speaker 1: back her hair down, putting it down. She keep her
- 57:41Speaker 1: head hanging off the edge of the bed. That's how
- 57:43Speaker 1: she keep her head always going down up in here.
- 57:48Speaker 1: It's going down up in here. And she knows what
- 57:53Speaker 1: she's doing too. It's just when men get tired of
- 57:57Speaker 1: it and get you all these reading on bills while eating,
- 58:02Speaker 1: just putting out all kind of bill fail, phone bill,
- 58:07Speaker 1: grocery bill. Yeah, look what I had to help. I
- 58:10Speaker 1: help my mom Knil with the rent. You don't want
- 58:12Speaker 1: to do nothing for that? Wow? Wow, All right, Hang
- 58:15Speaker 1: on Part two of Steve's responses, coming up at twenty
- 58:19Speaker 1: three after the hour of today's letter. The subject that's
- 58:22Speaker 1: not what Steve Harvey wrote in that book. We'll be
- 58:24Speaker 1: back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve. We're
- 58:31Speaker 1: ready to recap the Strawberry letter. Now, subject, that's not
- 58:34Speaker 1: what Steve Harvey wrote in that book. Let's recap. This
- 58:37Speaker 1: woman been dating using my book all wrong. Anybody told
- 58:41Speaker 1: her due none of this here. So she don't want
- 58:44Speaker 1: no man. Everybome she date a man, if they don't
- 58:47Speaker 1: start taking care of her financially, she break up with him.
- 58:50Speaker 1: She got a new guy. Now, he got a good
- 58:53Speaker 1: job and everything so she bragging about how he helps
- 58:55Speaker 1: her with her bills and he gives her money to shop.
- 58:59Speaker 1: Before we left, I explain to you why you getting
- 59:01Speaker 1: money for your bills and why you can go shot?
- 59:04Speaker 1: Why because you ain't here on your back? She's not
- 59:11Speaker 1: just looking pretty with her hair nails backup? Raise your role? Okay?
- 59:17Speaker 1: She said that Steve Harvey said it's a woman's role
- 59:20Speaker 1: to take care of her man, raise the kids, and
- 59:22Speaker 1: keep the house together all the w When did I
- 59:25Speaker 1: tell you your job is to take care man? All
- 59:28Speaker 1: that women need to do is stay pretty with our
- 59:31Speaker 1: hair together, nails and toes done, and that's not in
- 59:34Speaker 1: my book, and take care of everything else. Ain't nobody
- 59:36Speaker 1: for to do that? And you bring nothing to the table.
- 59:41Speaker 1: According to this letter, she told me that this man
- 59:45Speaker 1: now been making comments about her current living conditions because
- 59:49Speaker 1: she lives with her parents and she uses their car.
- 59:51Speaker 1: The lady wrote the letter said, I told her that
- 59:53Speaker 1: he's making those comments for a reason. But she maintains
- 59:57Speaker 1: that she will not move out all by hold because
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: if a man has an issue with it, he will
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: get it. Got an issue with it, he will get
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: her a nice place on her own and buy her
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: a new car. Okay, are you crazy? See baby, let
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: me explain to you where you're going wrong. Just hold that.
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: First of all, you had several men, good man, and
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: the moment they don't want to financially take care of
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: you want to break over. Well, let's dude right here's
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: taking care of some stuff like it. But now he
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: hadn't brought up the fact that you live with your
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: mom and you're using a car because he can he
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: trying to figure out. Okay, now where we're at it.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Now you say, if he really loved you, hear him
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: help you get your place and buy a new car. No,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: he's not. Now you haven't been on your back with
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: these men before, and it ain't produced a house, a
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: car or nothing. To hell else when you fitting to
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: learn that this don't work. I got this your requirement,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: but you keep passing out cooking before you get car's, apartments,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: rent and money. And then the dude, that dude give
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: you this money. He started asking you why are you
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: still living with your mom and there and you're driving
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: that car? So does that mean he's getting sick of her?
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: He's getting because he thought he had something. He got food.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He thought he had something found out he didn't. Now
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: she said that Steve Harvey books said that males are hunted.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: I've always said that, and all that women need to
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: do is stay pretty without had together, nails and toes done,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: and a man will come and take care of everything else.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: What calling, Let's girl, Let's leave now because y'all ought
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: to have a lock on you calling Monica can go? Now?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: Y'all have done your nails? And does y'all ought to
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: be good? What y'all in here for ya? I'm trying
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: to take care of y'allself. Oh, y'all, y'all trying to
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: be independent? That's dumb, he says. Steve Harvey said it's
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: a woman's role to take care of her man. How
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: are you gonna take care of man? Or you ain't working?
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: See why would I say that and you ain't working? Yeah?
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: I ran Steve Harvey's book, and nowhere in there doesn't
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: say that. I need you to clear this up because
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: she listens to the show every day. So do men
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: want women to bring something to the table? The answer
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: to that is yes. Now, let me help you understand
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: this a little bit better. If a man is wealthy,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: his requirement may not be for you to have a job.
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: But now if he has the means, let me tell
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: you what he doing. He wants a woman that he
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: can put on his arm and take places. He wants
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: a woman who looks good, I mean that sounds good
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: in meetings and social setting. He wants a woman that's
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: able to classly mingle in and out of all different situations.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: He wants a woman that's stylish. So what may want
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: a woman who's really good with kids, because he may
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: have children. He's also looking at a woman where if
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: she has kids, what type of mother she is, and
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: how can he fit in there and be provided for
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: her and all them. He also looking for a woman
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: who can better him, who can help him be a
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: better him. Now, for a woman can do those things,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: that becomes your job. And your job is very simple
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and has a great reward to it. But if you
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: bring nothing to the table. See at one point in time,
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: this is what happens to people who bring nothing to
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: the table. You're gonna pull your chap one time. It
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: ain't gonna be nothing a table. Yeah, you're gonna pull
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: your champ and ain't gonna be nothing to eat. Oh
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: you at the table. But ain't a damn thing on
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: there for you to eat because he didn't eat and left.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: You've got to bring something to the table, and this
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: last swagger against under wisdom on something you know. Watch
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: his back, Yeah, listen to me. I don't like him
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: because when you're not looking, he looking upside your head. Yes, loyalty, Yeah,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: ste Steve, his name is Sawyer. Stop calling this man.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: See you've done that a few times having Stevens. Don't
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: say hey, Sam stupid? I said, hell, why should be
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: behind me? All Right, we gotta get out of here.
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: Email us, our Instagram us your thoughts on today's strawberry
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: letter at Steve Harvey f M. You're listening. Come on, junior.
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: I don't know who these people are and where it
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: come from. But on Saturday, Yeah, why as you call
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: it any human being before eight o'clock? Why what do
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: we have to talk about at seven to fifteen am?
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: There's nothing I want to talk. Like my boy called
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: me at seven fifty. Come about what you're doing? Dog
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: is said, I'm trying to sleep, ying to do well here.

- 1:05:36Speaker 1: I'm just saying, what made you get up? Pick your
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: phone up? Said David? You know who I ain't called?
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: Let me call him right now? What? At what time?
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: At seven fifteen? First of all, I ain't formulated a thought.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: And then you're another bro man talking to another grow
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: man as I lay in bed. This ain't really this
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: is not comfortable. I'm not comfortable when you heard me
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: saying hello, Hello, you gonna fall? Dog? Guess what? What? What?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Etcept fifteen? What? Why am I guessing? I ain't got
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: no shirt on right now? Why do I ain't got
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: no shirt on? Sleep? What shirt? I'm just asking? However
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: I sleep? It ain't none of your fifteen. I'm just
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: something comfortable with the conversation. That's all I'm saying. Okay,

- 1:06:42Speaker 1: me at seven fifteen? I ain't got no shirt all?
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: You talk about guests? What? But what? This is uncomfortable.

- 1:18:03Speaker 1: And there's something that's happening that's really really had an
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: impact on my life. I didn't know I started doing
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: these morning meditations, right, and so part of it is
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: I got this app, this Bible app you know. Look,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I ain't no preacher, so you could take the message
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: from them. I'm just telling you what I'm doing and
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: how it's improved my life. I'm not a perfect person,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: so I don't even really you know, kind of be
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: really honest. I don't even think I'm trying to be perfect.
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: I'm just trying to be a good person. Man. Some
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: of the mistakes I make, I really don't. I don't know, man,
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: some of the mistakes I make, I ain't really you know,
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: I don't know. I'm a little confused about myself sometimes
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: it's kind of clay. I guess I am improving and
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: trying to be better, but I'm not making the same
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: mistakes over and over. I'm just finding out that it's
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: it's not as easy to be a great person all
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: the time because we're humans, you know, right, you know
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: We're gonna all make mistakes, and so I've definitely made
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: my share. But I keep on climbing and I keep
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: on striving, So I guess I am trying to get
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: a lot better. So I take that back, I am.
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: But a friend of mine sent me a scripture, and
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: the scripture is Psalms five, five and three. But I
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: started reading from one all the way down to four
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: and he said, hey, man, before you start your day
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: in your morning meditation, he said, I want you to
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: add the scripture. So part of my morning meditation is
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: I have these, like, oh, daily words that I read
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: from a gift that someone gave me for my birthday.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: And then I have a King James Bible, and I
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: have a New Living Version of the Bible because I
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: can't understand the King James version sometimes while I had
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: these two side by side. So whatever script I'm reading
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: in the King James, I also have a you know,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: New Living Testament with modern English in it so I
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: can really get an understanding of it. And inside one
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: of my notes is two pages one sheet of paper
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: has things that I make sure that I read off
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: every morning to thank him for because I don't want
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: to be ungrateful. I want him to know that I'm
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: grateful for what all he's done for me. And I
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: do this every morning, whether I'm having a great morning
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: or not, whether I got some bad news the night
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: before or not, or whether somebody said the answer to
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: your question is no, you gotta try something else. I
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: read the thank you list anyway, and some of the
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: stuff on my thank you list, it's stuff that someone
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: has told me know about, but I thank God for
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: it anyway, because what I've learned is I remember I've
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: often been told no a bunch of times and it
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: turned out to be a yes. So I thank him
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: even when I get some disappointing news about a request
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: that I put in. So I put in my thank
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: yous first, then my next sheet of paper that's about
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: fifty things I thank him for every day, and then
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I have another people about fifty so things on it
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: that I'm asking for. He said, before you read that list, Steve,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: he said, I want you to read Psalms five and three.
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: And then it was so crazy because he said, Man,
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: since you're doing this every morning, do this. Five and
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: three says Lord in the morning. You hear my voice.
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: In the morning, I pray to you, and I wait
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: for you in hope. And so when he sent me
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: the scripture, he sent it from another version, and he
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: says after he God hears him, hears him when he
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: prayed the morning, he cries out to him. He waits
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: expectedly throughout the day. And so you know, I've often
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: talked to y'all about living your life as a life
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: of it expectation. That's the only way to draw a
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: great life is to expect a great life. The only
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: way to think to be a great person is you
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: have to think great people thoughts. If you want to
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: be successful, you have to have successful thoughts. If you
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: have negative thoughts, you're gonna be a negative person. So
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: I've often said, you know, a man is as he thinks,
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: and you have to live your life in expectation. But
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: this really clear to love for me. Man. I'm giving
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: it to y'all. Psalms too through four and I just
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: started reading this and well it's three through four, but
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: I read two through four. It said, my King and
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: my God hear me. When I cry for help, I
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: pray to you Lord. In the morning You're hear me,
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: and then that morning I pray to you and I
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: wait on you in hope. That's that expectation, y'all. That
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: has changed the game for me, because it's taught me
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: so many things, man, about how my mindset should be
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: to be again the day. And even if you're not
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: getting the things on your request list, be thankful for him,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: because just because somebody told you no, that ain't necessarily
- 1:23:12Speaker 1: God telling you no. And a lot of times people
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: get off, they hustle too quick before the real blessing
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: come through just because that person said no. Maybe God
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: working on it from another angle. But as soon as
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you hear no and you stop wanting it or hoping
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: for it, now your faith is gone in it. Now
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: you can't get it because God don't give you what
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: you won't He give you what you believe. So from
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: now on, when you hearing no, leave it on your list.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: You don't know. That's that person told you know. You
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: don't know what God doing on the other side, but
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: he hear you every morning. He do here. I just
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: want y'all know that, so try to try to scripture
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I told you about. That's it, y'all have a great
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: eas drop it all right. For all Steve Harvey contests
