- 0:00Speaker 1: Direct from Hollywood with Ryan Seacrest.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Hardy is picking up a massive following for his groundbreaking
- 0:06Speaker 2: and fusion of country and modern rock, which is some
- 0:08Speaker 2: debating which genre he should fall under, and others simply
- 0:11Speaker 2: or enjoying the music. Either way, He's been given a
- 0:13Speaker 2: ton of credit for forging new territory with that blend
- 0:16Speaker 2: of styles, which happened by accident. It all started organically
- 0:19Speaker 2: when he wrote Boots for his debut album, which simply
- 0:22Speaker 2: ended up being heavier, and he noticed fans loved it
- 0:24Speaker 2: at live shows. That gave the confidence to explore rock
- 0:28Speaker 2: further on his latest album, The mocking Bird and the Crow.
- 0:30Speaker 2: Hardytail's songwriter universe. Over the past couple of years, I've
- 0:33Speaker 2: had about ten songs on hold for my album. I
- 0:35Speaker 2: looked down and noticed that I've had five country songs
- 0:38Speaker 2: and five rock songs. I realized that I was doing
- 0:40Speaker 2: it by accident. From there on out, I wrote the
- 0:42Speaker 2: rest of the record with more of an intention half
- 0:45Speaker 2: country and half rock. So the last six songs were
- 0:47Speaker 2: written with that intention, and the very last song I
- 0:50Speaker 2: wrote for the record was the title The mocking Bird
- 0:52Speaker 2: and the Crow. The Mocky Burn the Crow is out now.
- 0:56Speaker 1: That's direct from Hollywood.
