- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:10Speaker 1: a radio show man. I got something I want to
- 2:12Speaker 1: share with you today. I was. I was in the
- 2:14Speaker 1: gym this morning and trainer Lee haney Son sent him
- 2:19Speaker 1: a text, and he sent him a text this morning
- 2:22Speaker 1: of him, dude in the gym lifting up huge weights,
- 2:27Speaker 1: dumb bails doing a bench press like you know, you're
- 2:32Speaker 1: just huge dumbbells. You know stuff I ain't doing. You know,
- 2:35Speaker 1: hunted sometimes that really she was huge. I've never seen
- 2:38Speaker 1: dumbells this big and the man was pressing him, and
- 2:42Speaker 1: Lee's son took a picture of him and he sent
- 2:45Speaker 1: this to his father. This morning's father shared it with me.
- 2:47Speaker 1: I wanted to share with y'all because, man, I can't
- 2:50Speaker 1: tell you highs explain so much of your life. And
- 2:55Speaker 1: when he showed the man lifting this successive weight in
- 2:57Speaker 1: the gym, he said, wow, Paul, look at this dude
- 2:59Speaker 1: right here, And he says. The caption he put under
- 3:02Speaker 1: it was, don't pray for it to be easier, pray
- 3:07Speaker 1: to be stronger. Don't pray for it to be easier.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Pray for you to be stronger. Ain't that cold? See?
- 3:14Speaker 1: I was thinking about that. As soon as he said it,
- 3:17Speaker 1: I said, man, I gotta go on, ready, I gotta
- 3:19Speaker 1: tell everybody what I see now. Don't pray for it
- 3:23Speaker 1: to be easier, pray for you to be stronger. Okay,
- 3:28Speaker 1: let me tell you how important that is now. I
- 3:30Speaker 1: just heard it that way today, and I'm sharing what
- 3:33Speaker 1: you immediately because you know what that has it. It's
- 3:35Speaker 1: gonna help me a lot because oftentimes I've done it indirectly,
- 3:40Speaker 1: and then sometimes I've done it all the wrong. Sometimes
- 3:43Speaker 1: I've actually prayed for it to be stronger. But I've
- 3:46Speaker 1: also prayed sometimes for it to be easier. I have
- 3:50Speaker 1: done that and been guilty of it myself. But from
- 3:53Speaker 1: now on, after hearing that, I'm changing my prayer because, See,
- 3:57Speaker 1: you can't have it both ways. You can't be strong
- 4:00Speaker 1: and weak at the same time. You're either gonna be
- 4:03Speaker 1: strong or you're gonna be weak. Now, if you keep
- 4:06Speaker 1: asking God to make it easier, what you are not
- 4:09Speaker 1: asking for is for you to be able to handle
- 4:11Speaker 1: whatever happens. So the next thing that comes along that
- 4:15Speaker 1: you ain't worked your muscles on to prepare you for,
- 4:18Speaker 1: that's gonna thank you two. So what I learned by
- 4:22Speaker 1: that is sometimes I even I got to change my
- 4:25Speaker 1: prayer too. Now I do most of the time, but
- 4:28Speaker 1: I'm a human being and sometimes I just wanted to
- 4:30Speaker 1: go away. But now what I really need to pray
- 4:33Speaker 1: for is to strength all the time to deal with
- 4:35Speaker 1: whatever besets me, whatever comes in my way, because to
- 4:39Speaker 1: become successful, and we've talked about this how many times
- 4:43Speaker 1: it's hard. So since knowing it's gonna be hard, why
- 4:47Speaker 1: not asked for the strength to handle that. See, stop
- 4:51Speaker 1: praying for weaker moments, stop praying for it to be easier.
- 4:55Speaker 1: Stop asking God to make your way playing and easy. Okay, Now,
- 5:00Speaker 1: now you ain't worked your muscles out to learn how
- 5:02Speaker 1: to handle nothing. I was at it this morning. I
- 5:04Speaker 1: put a little more weight on at least said wow, man,
- 5:07Speaker 1: you're up any of this morning. In order to grow,
- 5:10Speaker 1: I got to change. And you can't change if you're
- 5:13Speaker 1: gonna stay the same. You can't keep picking up the
- 5:16Speaker 1: same for the pound. Dumb bails. And you want some
- 5:19Speaker 1: more results, you're gonna keep getting it. If you keep
- 5:21Speaker 1: doing what you've been doing, You're gonna keep getting what
- 5:24Speaker 1: you've been getting. You cannot grow without the change. So
- 5:28Speaker 1: when we're talking to God and we're asking God to
- 5:30Speaker 1: make it easy for us, why to growth at? Why
- 5:34Speaker 1: to change at? No, you got to ask God to
- 5:36Speaker 1: make you stronger, not to make the situation weaker. I'm
- 5:41Speaker 1: changing my prayers. Man, I'm going at him now with
- 5:44Speaker 1: just just make me strong enough to handle whatever happened,
- 5:46Speaker 1: whatever come my way. Give me the strip to handle it.
- 5:49Speaker 1: And now whatever I see in front of me that
- 5:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to go after, that's gonna require more. Give
- 5:54Speaker 1: me the strip to do that too. Help me be
- 5:57Speaker 1: a stronger man, Help me be a stronger person. Help
- 6:02Speaker 1: me be a stronger woman, a stronger boy, a stronger girl,
- 6:07Speaker 1: a stronger student, a stronger boss, a stronger employee, a
- 6:11Speaker 1: stronger leader, a stronger follower. Give me that, give me
- 6:15Speaker 1: stripped to do that. Stop asking for it to be
- 6:18Speaker 1: simple and easy and paved the way what you want, man,
- 6:21Speaker 1: The road to success is always under construction. Always. It
- 6:25Speaker 1: ain't ever paved and smooth and easy. Look here, man,
- 6:28Speaker 1: go out there to days try to be successful. See
- 6:31Speaker 1: what you're gonna run into Man's orange barrows is workers,
- 6:34Speaker 1: is detools, It's got craters in the road with no
- 6:37Speaker 1: warning signs on it. That's how hard it is to
- 6:39Speaker 1: be successful. The road to success is always under construction.
- 6:44Speaker 1: It ain't fit to smooth out for you. You got
- 6:46Speaker 1: to ask God for strip be what you're supposed to be. Not.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Let's look at hill. When you make a mistake, and
- 6:52Speaker 1: you're gonna make them. We all do. We fall down,
- 6:58Speaker 1: but we get up. A saint is just a sinner
- 7:02Speaker 1: who failed down, but he didn't stay there. That's all
- 7:06Speaker 1: a saint is. All these Christians running their mouth with
- 7:09Speaker 1: you about how how fired up and save they are,
- 7:12Speaker 1: and all this it got all that, But them people,
- 7:15Speaker 1: them people make mistakes all the time, all the time.
- 7:20Speaker 1: And see the moment we as Christian people start telling
- 7:23Speaker 1: people the truth about being a Christian, more people can
- 7:26Speaker 1: get interest interested in it. But if you're gonna tell
- 7:29Speaker 1: everybody this lie that you're over here living this perfect
- 7:32Speaker 1: life and everything and ever since you came to God,
- 7:34Speaker 1: your life being smooth, and you don't have no and
- 7:37Speaker 1: he didn't took all your pains? And wait, what what? What?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Who are you? Where that? Where that life at? You're
- 7:45Speaker 1: talking about heaving now, ain't you? But I heard you
- 7:48Speaker 1: had to die to go there? So what you're really
- 7:50Speaker 1: talking about? Come on, man, I'm talking to the cat
- 7:54Speaker 1: that's in some real pain right now, that's in some
- 7:56Speaker 1: real trouble right now. The dude is at the crossroad
- 8:00Speaker 1: right now. The dude has been struggling and dealing with
- 8:02Speaker 1: it for a long time. I'm talking to the captives
- 8:05Speaker 1: out there, been trying to figure out what's wrong, man,
- 8:07Speaker 1: Why I can't seem to get it right? That's who
- 8:12Speaker 1: I'm talking to. I'm saying, come over here and give
- 8:15Speaker 1: God to try. Come over here with your imperfect self,
- 8:18Speaker 1: with your imperfect ways and watch him change some things
- 8:21Speaker 1: about you. Watch him give you the strength. See what
- 8:25Speaker 1: he did for me. Let me okay, see, best of
- 8:26Speaker 1: all I can do is just tell you what happened
- 8:28Speaker 1: to me. See what it did for me? Was it
- 8:31Speaker 1: ain't so much. He just he just took me and
- 8:37Speaker 1: took how I wars and made me better with it.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm still an aggressive man. I'm probably not gonna ever
- 8:44Speaker 1: stop being aggressive. But he took that aggression and he
- 8:47Speaker 1: started shaping it. Now for the first toilve minutes and
- 8:50Speaker 1: the morning, be aggressive about me. Be aggressive about the
- 8:53Speaker 1: feelings you got towards me, Your your father, you'll leader,
- 8:56Speaker 1: your God, your savior. Be aggressive, man. Tell people how
- 8:59Speaker 1: you made and Steve aggressively since you want to, since
- 9:02Speaker 1: you're aggressive and I and I and you've been aggressive.
- 9:05Speaker 1: I made you be aggressive with that. Now, since you
- 9:09Speaker 1: like to tell it like it is, Steve, then tell
- 9:12Speaker 1: the truth of how it really is. How I do
- 9:14Speaker 1: for you, what I've done for you. Tell everybody you
- 9:17Speaker 1: know what I've done for you in a plain, simple
- 9:19Speaker 1: way so they can feel you. See, he ain't changed me.
- 9:23Speaker 1: He just made me better with it. When you get loud, hey, man,
- 9:27Speaker 1: every now I didn't get liued for me. You know,
- 9:31Speaker 1: you want to tell some jokes, you're real funny, tell
- 9:34Speaker 1: something funny, but let it be so more people can hear. See,
- 9:39Speaker 1: that's that's what he did for me. So for all
- 9:42Speaker 1: you casts out there, they're scared to come on over
- 9:44Speaker 1: here because you're scared it's gonna change you, turn you
- 9:46Speaker 1: into some little punk or you got to get sisted
- 9:49Speaker 1: up or something like that. And please, before you start
- 9:51Speaker 1: emailing me, that's not an anti gay remark. I'm talking about.
- 9:55Speaker 1: It's a lot of dudes out there that just don't
- 9:57Speaker 1: want to punk up and sisty up because they're scared
- 9:59Speaker 1: that what it's gonna do. Now, you got to come
- 10:00Speaker 1: over here and beat this little meek lamb laid off
- 10:02Speaker 1: the slaughter every Sunday. That ain't what it is over here.
- 10:07Speaker 1: God looking for me, God looking forward for for real
- 10:11Speaker 1: soldiers out here. See, everybody I talked to don't want
- 10:14Speaker 1: to hear about Christianity, So I ain't got nothing for him.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Then how about that? How about that? I'm cool with that. See,
- 10:21Speaker 1: every Christian ain't turning the other cheek. I ain't there
- 10:24Speaker 1: you slap me, man, hey, madam, Sorry, I don't. I
- 10:27Speaker 1: don't know. I ain't there yet. But see I'm a
- 10:30Speaker 1: work in progress. He ain't through with me yet. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: might get to the point where I in tern other cheek.
- 10:36Speaker 1: I doubt it. I ain't. I ain't looking for I
- 10:38Speaker 1: ain't praying for that one. I'm I don't for real
- 10:41Speaker 1: about you, man. I'll be praying for most tramps. So
- 10:44Speaker 1: when I when you do slap me, when I come
- 10:46Speaker 1: back around, I'll come back nice. Oh slap me, You
- 10:50Speaker 1: won't slap me twice. I can promise you that. Where
- 10:52Speaker 1: am I going with this? Steve Huh? I'm sorry, y'all.
- 10:55Speaker 1: Just remember what I told you. You're listening, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:02Speaker 1: boys and girls, Welcome to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 11:08Speaker 1: Well this is it. This show this morning is dedicated
- 11:14Speaker 1: to all rubbish workers. Rubbish, rubbish. I don't even know
- 11:20Speaker 1: what that recycle. Ain't garbage mean? Come on, trash? Collected
- 11:29Speaker 1: a lot of my homies from Cleveland on the back

- 11:43Speaker 1: can't them now. They did not grew their uniform. Oh okay,
- 11:47Speaker 1: I thought it was one of my boys. Say the
- 11:49Speaker 1: reason his partner he ride on back of dump truck

- 12:35Speaker 1: I call it because I played. Didn't see his golf
- 12:38Speaker 1: tournament the other day. So come to me half a

- 12:58Speaker 1: said again, because I don't think he heard you said
- 13:02Speaker 1: celebrities right at my golf tournament. I'd be the only
- 13:05Speaker 1: celebrity that right. I don't think, okay, then what had
- 13:08Speaker 1: I see it? And me? Because i'd be at your
- 13:11Speaker 1: tournament again, I'm sure he didn't hear you surely set
- 13:15Speaker 1: me up. Yeah yeah, because I ain't even do this
- 13:19Speaker 1: with you this morning? Who surely starts an I didn't
- 13:27Speaker 1: even hear that. I don't even know where that came from.
- 13:30Speaker 1: So you just tuned him out automatically. Yeah, well I
- 13:34Speaker 1: knew not either way. I didn't get in that pretty
- 13:37Speaker 1: bad secret doing on the show with Kelly. He's better
- 13:43Speaker 1: than huh wow man, So that just flew out my
- 13:48Speaker 1: that's from your celebrity nephew. Yeah, you go before. I mean,
- 13:56Speaker 1: I love Ryan Crest and he's just a consum a
- 14:00Speaker 1: pro so, but I'm gonna tell you something else. He's
- 14:02Speaker 1: a really cool guy in real life. Don't even matter.
- 14:04Speaker 1: He is a really really cool guy. Ryan Seacrest is
- 14:07Speaker 1: really really cool dude. One day, my girlfriend and I
- 14:10Speaker 1: he was driving down in our neighborhood, down the street
- 14:13Speaker 1: and his convertible and we were like Ryan Seacrest. He
- 14:16Speaker 1: turned run he said, hey, ladies, I thought that was
- 14:18Speaker 1: so cool. I want to get in and learn yourself
- 14:24Speaker 1: a little. So all right, it's time for something funny
- 14:27Speaker 1: when we come back. Milania Trump in the news again.
- 14:30Speaker 1: She's done it again. Ruscoe Wallace has something to say
- 14:34Speaker 1: about it. All right, we'll be back. Yes, you're listening
- 14:43Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, here we go. Social
- 14:47Speaker 1: media sites say she's at it again. I'm talking about
- 14:50Speaker 1: the First Lady, Milannia Trump. She is accused of plagiarizing
- 14:54Speaker 1: former First Lady Michelle Obama soon after the violence at
- 14:58Speaker 1: the rally and Charlotte's Ville, Virginia. Is this, Trump tweeted
- 15:01Speaker 1: August twelve, uh quote, our country encourages freedom of speech,
- 15:06Speaker 1: but let communication without hate in our hearts. No good
- 15:10Speaker 1: comes comes from violence hashtag Charlottesville. However, no sooner had
- 15:15Speaker 1: the First Lady put out her tweet than a meme
- 15:18Speaker 1: started claiming that Milannia's response on Twitter was copied from
- 15:22Speaker 1: a comment made by former First Lady Michelle Obama last year.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Although it's still unproven, the First Lady actually that she
- 15:30Speaker 1: actually stole the former First Lady's words summer, calling Milannia
- 15:34Speaker 1: Trump a repeat offender. You you remember the first time
- 15:41Speaker 1: she was accused of plagiarizing Michelle Obama's speech last year
- 15:45Speaker 1: In July at the RNC. Uh, sounds like he's here
- 16:00Speaker 1: go to old baby. Hey, it will go to old time.
- 16:05Speaker 1: What's happened to man? How you doing a little baby? Roscoe?
- 16:09Speaker 1: My heat roll world? Hey Roscoe? Welcome over. How you
- 16:15Speaker 1: doing hey? Roscoe? You just popped up. Well I gotta like, yeah,
- 16:27Speaker 1: that curtain us you want me to do? He's out
- 16:38Speaker 1: about going well, you know, first lady was accused last
- 16:41Speaker 1: year at the r n C of plagiarizing one of
- 16:44Speaker 1: Michelle Obama's my word is bond? Where you get that
- 16:49Speaker 1: from the Yugoslav Hey, I don't talk like that, my
- 16:54Speaker 1: worried bond like that? Like and she said, come on
- 16:58Speaker 1: dog right my worded? Boy, Now you're in the mood. Yeah.
- 17:05Speaker 1: And now they're saying she's done it again. I don't know.
- 17:09Speaker 1: I got home in the nations say that all that
- 17:12Speaker 1: my worded? You show you a Has that ever happened
- 17:22Speaker 1: to you? Though? I mean you've written a lot of
- 17:23Speaker 1: songs and stuff. Oh, everybody played like what hell? The question?
- 17:32Speaker 1: Who ain't I knew Steve Wonder one of the greatest
- 17:35Speaker 1: writers of all. You tell them all when he still
- 17:39Speaker 1: take me? What did he take from you? You wrote
- 17:43Speaker 1: that old lot. He stole ass from. First of all,
- 17:49Speaker 1: First of all, let's get that clear, Ruscoe. Please, it's
- 17:52Speaker 1: as a s what I said, Steve didn't want to
- 17:57Speaker 1: stow as from the ask piece. It's around the summer
- 18:10Speaker 1: and the road buds know the bloom in early me. Yeah,
- 18:14Speaker 1: that's just his kindness knows no shame, no through all
- 18:19Speaker 1: your joy in pain, be loving you always. So yeah, yeah,
- 18:30Speaker 1: take it away. Carolina sit up here and say, go ahead, girl.
- 18:36Speaker 1: You have something in common with first Lady Michelle Obama
- 18:39Speaker 1: when it comes to plagiarizing that someone is taking your
- 18:42Speaker 1: stuff and not giving you credit, and you're saying, musical genius.
- 18:47Speaker 1: Stevie wonder Jack, your song as one of it. This
- 18:53Speaker 1: sound like I wrote it where it comes from carling
- 18:56Speaker 1: you always you always got some by something I got
- 19:00Speaker 1: And I just told you I wrote a song. I
- 19:02Speaker 1: wrote the ass rod it's as I ain't right, so
- 19:08Speaker 1: I wrote as when did you write it? I wrote
- 19:12Speaker 1: as in nineteen for the nine. I believe, I believe
- 19:18Speaker 1: you do you even know Stevie wonder and Steven know
- 19:25Speaker 1: me well, he knows you know, he knows more, boy,
- 19:32Speaker 1: he don't know when you like you know he ain't
- 19:41Speaker 1: like I could be standing there, he could pick me
- 19:42Speaker 1: out your line that didn't want him there? But he
- 19:45Speaker 1: do know more, boys, how did you meet him? You know?
- 19:50Speaker 1: Wouldn't him that? I meant? Oh, well, who was it
- 19:54Speaker 1: I met her? Daddy? Stevie wonders. What was his name?
- 19:59Speaker 1: Blunder blunder one, blunder one, Yeah, hell no, I ain't
- 20:06Speaker 1: got time to make it up. I got you on
- 20:08Speaker 1: his end, so I mean blunderback and for the nine
- 20:11Speaker 1: I wrote, I wrote as then the ass were really
- 20:15Speaker 1: a civil rights song. It was ultimate love song. It
- 20:20Speaker 1: is the love. We squitched some of the word, but
- 20:23Speaker 1: what a riddle the civil rights song. Let me hear
- 20:25Speaker 1: how you brought? What do you mean? As the sun
- 20:31Speaker 1: revolves around the earth, no sheet revolving and the clue
- 20:39Speaker 1: klux claid this standing in the weed just as kind
- 20:47Speaker 1: as nose. No shame come on, white folks. All we
- 20:51Speaker 1: bring in pain, but beginning me to you one day.
- 21:00Speaker 1: And that's how I wrote it. Right there, I wrote it.
- 21:03Speaker 1: I wrote it that, I wrote it, and I just
- 21:09Speaker 1: changed to word when I meant blunder, I turned the
- 21:11Speaker 1: blunder and blunder ship. Well, I got a son, he
- 21:14Speaker 1: can he done? You know, you know, you know he
- 21:19Speaker 1: needs him help write his own I was going to
- 21:21Speaker 1: ask you how did Stevie get it? Stephen got a song?
- 21:25Speaker 1: Steven said, we need can we change if you think rock?
- 21:27Speaker 1: I said the cold said, oh, co we can, because
- 21:32Speaker 1: it was asked when I wrote he took an ass
- 21:34Speaker 1: off all. That's the first thing I wrote it as.

- 27:51Speaker 1: I'm trying to explain you is, Dude, you're calling here
- 27:54Speaker 1: on some big bug, which I know she ain't got
- 27:57Speaker 1: nothing to do with, but the fact that you told
- 27:58Speaker 1: me that she was over your in your bad that's over.
- 28:02Speaker 1: It's over now, you understand what I'm saying. Now we'll
- 28:04Speaker 1: see get home. I'm gonna deal with that. You understand
- 28:06Speaker 1: what I'm saying. That's gonna get dune with. I'm walking
- 28:09Speaker 1: up out of here. But when I leave here, please
- 28:11Speaker 1: believe my next stop is to come find your First
- 28:13Speaker 1: of all, how did you get the number to this apartment?
- 28:16Speaker 1: That's what I want to know. They do. She gave
- 28:17Speaker 1: me both numbers, the cell phone number in the house.
- 28:20Speaker 1: Number told me, you know, if it's an emergency, call
- 28:22Speaker 1: the house. Okay, And this is an emergency. Yeah, that's
- 28:25Speaker 1: an emergency. I got bad. Learn another emergency numbers, learning
- 28:29Speaker 1: on on one because when I come down, come on
- 28:31Speaker 1: your dog? Did you come out on? You handle it?
- 28:33Speaker 1: Or you better call the cops. You understand what I'm
- 28:35Speaker 1: trying to tell you. Hey, man, do you think Tommy
- 28:39Speaker 1: will pay for the bad bugs? Who is Tommy? I'm
- 28:42Speaker 1: just saying, do you think Tommy will pay for the
- 28:44Speaker 1: bad But it's Tommy, Tommy dog nephew Tommy from the
- 28:48Speaker 1: Steve Harby Morning Show. Earnest you just got bright by
- 28:52Speaker 1: your girl shot niece. Man, y'all, y'all, it was over.
- 29:04Speaker 1: It was over. You understand what I'm telling you? That
- 29:10Speaker 1: scratch it all scratch it acted scratch that all bad bugs, baby,
- 29:18Speaker 1: I'm the prank man. I never thought i'd beat this
- 29:21Speaker 1: over playing on the phone. I really did, but none
- 29:24Speaker 1: of us did. I can't tell you how many times
- 29:27Speaker 1: I had to go through playground and put him in
- 29:28Speaker 1: my pocket in a stage in that little or did
- 29:35Speaker 1: you have really big pockets? Which one? I mean? Either
- 29:37Speaker 1: way on the Game of Thrones, I ain't small like that.
- 29:46Speaker 1: I grew past that. I was, But you stayed way
- 29:49Speaker 1: longer than they went, from Tyrion to Manuel Lewis Jared Coleman,
- 29:58Speaker 1: and that's where you as stuck there. Yeah, that's that's
- 30:05Speaker 1: what he had right now. I was growing. I didn't. Well,
- 30:10Speaker 1: I had a boy, by he had a girl. What
- 30:13Speaker 1: do you mean, why do you have a good How
- 30:15Speaker 1: are you gonna touch the paddle with the ball? This
- 30:18Speaker 1: supposed to be true because he's not protesting. He the
- 30:22Speaker 1: one bought me a pink bike. Well, I was trying
- 30:25Speaker 1: to keep the boy from picking on you, I tell you, girl,
- 30:34Speaker 1: because he had hair back then they jump, All right,
- 30:39Speaker 1: we gotta go. Miss Anna's coming up next with our
- 30:42Speaker 1: National News. We'll be back. You're listening to the Steve
- 30:45Speaker 1: Harvey Morning show miss Anna standing by with today's headlines.
- 30:49Speaker 1: In the wake of the violence in Charlottesville over the weekend,
- 30:52Speaker 1: and in some cases, even before that happened, leaders in
- 30:55Speaker 1: several states are calling for the removal of Confederate symbols.
- 30:59Speaker 1: In Nashville, at the Tennessee State Capitol, protesters called for
- 31:02Speaker 1: the bust of Nathan Bedford Forest to be removed. The
- 31:06Speaker 1: Confederate general and KKK leader was yeah, was part of
- 31:11Speaker 1: a mass killing of black soldiers back in eighteen sixty four.
- 31:16Speaker 1: Statue statue Yeah, And then they're protesting because they want
- 31:22Speaker 1: to keep these statues around in Florida. In Florida Jacksonville,
- 31:27Speaker 1: the city council president requested that the city take stock
- 31:30Speaker 1: of all Confederate symbols on public property and develop an
- 31:34Speaker 1: appropriate plan of action to move them to museums or schools.
- 31:40Speaker 1: Look listen to the African Americans had to pitch in
- 31:44Speaker 1: their money, Oprah Winfrey, Robert Smith. They all gave money
- 31:49Speaker 1: to have the African American Museum in Washington, d C.
- 31:53Speaker 1: And a lot of other people contributed also. Look if he'll,
- 31:57Speaker 1: billies want to keep the Confederate mess If he'll buildings
- 32:03Speaker 1: want to keep the Confederate flag and all that stuff.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Then put your money together and build your building. You
- 32:09Speaker 1: can call your little kids and then keep talking about
- 32:12Speaker 1: this ignorant mess till you leave him. Now, everybody else
- 32:15Speaker 1: that wants we had to raise money for the Marl
- 32:17Speaker 1: Luther King statue up in d C. Let them raise money.
- 32:21Speaker 1: Take all these statues and put them in the building,
- 32:24Speaker 1: and you go worship. Well what then they got to
- 32:27Speaker 1: go down? Black people keep coming up with money to
- 32:33Speaker 1: do stuff. Just let these let these Confederate loving the
- 32:37Speaker 1: silt will rise again. People. You can feel how you
- 32:40Speaker 1: want to feel. Just go in the building. Y'all can
- 32:43Speaker 1: have checking in everything, pizza party, oh throwing up. You
- 32:47Speaker 1: can put the check and cheese and now all that
- 32:50Speaker 1: a little balls ain't going in there, a little ball machine,
- 32:54Speaker 1: and you got a little games in there for the kids,
- 32:57Speaker 1: you know. And what would they call it? The racist
- 32:59Speaker 1: music him, you know on the Sopha rad again. Whatever
- 33:03Speaker 1: they want to cut that, they can feel how they
- 33:05Speaker 1: want to feel. It's a lot of people really want
- 33:07Speaker 1: to keep the memory of the Civil War alive because
- 33:10Speaker 1: they say that's part of their history. Well, okay, cool,
- 33:14Speaker 1: do it. Yeah, And slavery is over. But that do
- 33:18Speaker 1: make sense though, put you all money together. Yeah, bro,
- 33:25Speaker 1: ain't nobody mad at you ain't going ahead it. But
- 33:28Speaker 1: what you cannot do is put it on taxpay up property. Well,
- 33:33Speaker 1: we gotta pay taxes to maintain this statue, and we
- 33:36Speaker 1: don't care nothing about this statue because black people pay
- 33:39Speaker 1: taxes in Tennessee, Charlotteville and everywhere else. So now if
- 33:43Speaker 1: we got to pay taxes on this public ground, we
- 33:45Speaker 1: got somebody at that polishing damn statue working off pigeon crap,
- 33:49Speaker 1: then what we need to do is we need to
- 33:51Speaker 1: have a say. So what's let's see all that he
- 33:53Speaker 1: best and put it in down white house somewhere and
- 33:56Speaker 1: y'all open up house just to it away. You put
- 34:00Speaker 1: us on the floor. You can just make it feel
- 34:02Speaker 1: like a riband and everything you reenact reenactments another thing
- 34:07Speaker 1: when they be doing them. You love what we keep
- 34:14Speaker 1: re enacting. Thank you are we reenacting this rising? No
- 34:24Speaker 1: mote it's new now. And then right after we get
- 34:28Speaker 1: rid of that, we need to get rid of this
- 34:29Speaker 1: electoral college vote. Yeah, just a little. With the popular vote,
- 34:35Speaker 1: whoever gets the most votes wins, all right, Well, in Florida,
- 34:39Speaker 1: like I was saying. Jacksonville, the city council president requested
- 34:42Speaker 1: the city take stock of all Confederate symbols on public
- 34:44Speaker 1: property and develop an appropriate plan of action to move
- 34:47Speaker 1: them to museums and schools. Alright, different, all right, let's
- 34:54Speaker 1: go Miss Anna's here Steve, Ladies and gentlemen, without further ado,
- 34:58Speaker 1: the very talented miss and in trip. Thank you, Thanks Steve,
- 35:03Speaker 1: Thanks everybody. This is a trip with the news. Well,
- 35:05Speaker 1: it was a swift turnaround here it is. President Trump
- 35:08Speaker 1: is now defending his delayed response to the violence in
- 35:11Speaker 1: Charlottesville last weekend, and again insisting that there was blame
- 35:14Speaker 1: on both sides. The President held a news conference yesterday.
- 35:17Speaker 1: It was bill as being about a new infrastructure initiative,
- 35:20Speaker 1: but things quickly went south, as in Virginia, with Trump saying,
- 35:24Speaker 1: both the left and right sides where a fall. You
- 35:26Speaker 1: had a group on one side that was bad, and
- 35:28Speaker 1: you had a group on the other side that was
- 35:30Speaker 1: also very violent. And nobody wants to say that, but
- 35:33Speaker 1: I'll say it right now. Many of those people were
- 35:36Speaker 1: there to protest the taking down of the statue of
- 35:39Speaker 1: Roberty Lace this week. It's Roberty Lee. I noticed that
- 35:43Speaker 1: Stonewall Jackson's coming down. I wonder is it George Washington
- 35:47Speaker 1: next week? And is that Thomas Jefferson the week after?
- 35:50Speaker 1: You know, you, you really do have to ask yourself
- 35:52Speaker 1: where does it stop. By the way, historians will point
- 35:55Speaker 1: out that although they own slaves, that neither George Washington
- 35:57Speaker 1: or Thomas Jefferson were part of the Confederate racy that
- 36:00Speaker 1: came years and years after that. By the way, President
- 36:03Speaker 1: Trump is accusing the business executives who quit his manufacturing
- 36:06Speaker 1: advertising counsel this week in protests over his reaction to
- 36:10Speaker 1: that Unite the Right to rally. He says they were grandstanding.
- 36:13Speaker 1: The president of the Alliance for American Manufacturing has now
- 36:16Speaker 1: followed the examples of the heads of Intel, Merk Pharmaceutical,
- 36:19Speaker 1: and under Armour in resigning from Trump's panel. Police in
- 36:22Speaker 1: Charlotte's film mean while reviewing the way they handle things
- 36:25Speaker 1: during the supremacist rally, police Chief Al Thomas says they
- 36:28Speaker 1: did the best they could under the circumstances. We were
- 36:30Speaker 1: following a number of groups ensuring that they were being peaceful,
- 36:35Speaker 1: but it was a challenge. And now Governor Terry mccolloff
- 36:38Speaker 1: is ordering a review of how the state of Virginia
- 36:40Speaker 1: issues rally permits, as well as how police prepare for
- 36:43Speaker 1: public demonstrations. Sheriff in North Carolina says he's pursuing felony
- 36:47Speaker 1: charges against the protests who pulled down a Confederate monument
- 36:50Speaker 1: in Derham early this week. Andy racist demonstrated seen on
- 36:53Speaker 1: video using a rope to pull down the statue of
- 36:56Speaker 1: a Confederate soldier that stood outside the old courthouse there
- 36:59Speaker 1: and now police didn't intervene because they say they didn't
- 37:01Speaker 1: want things to escalate. But now Sheriff Mike Andrews says
- 37:04Speaker 1: he's been able to identify some of the protests and
- 37:06Speaker 1: prepared to use every leagual option to arrest them. Let
- 37:10Speaker 1: no one is getting away with what happened. We will
- 37:14Speaker 1: find the responsible state law prohibits municipalities from moving removing
- 37:19Speaker 1: monuments without prior approval of the legislature. And today National
- 37:22Speaker 1: Baby Boomers Day and National Number two Pencil Day and
- 37:25Speaker 1: singing National Harmy Day. Boom sing at Harmy twenty minutes
- 37:31Speaker 1: after the hour, Eugene the Butterflies coming up. Stay tuned
- 37:34Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey morn show. You're listening to the
- 37:39Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve, let's introduce you, Gene,
- 37:43Speaker 1: please and do it nicely. So he didn't have a
- 37:46Speaker 1: good attitude, ladies and gentlemen. Here he is, Eugene. That
- 37:51Speaker 1: was very nice. That was good. Was good morning? Good money,
- 37:53Speaker 1: good money, Stephen, Um, Shirley, Carla, Yes, butterfly good. What
- 38:02Speaker 1: we gotta do today? Timey? Good morning? What's up? I'm sorry,
- 38:07Speaker 1: Steve me. What did you say? So? What we gotta
- 38:09Speaker 1: do today? Nothing? I'm not gonna asking any ud because
- 38:13Speaker 1: you don't like need to ask you anything, or you
- 38:15Speaker 1: don't like surveying anything like that. But I'm letting you
- 38:17Speaker 1: out now today it's about back to school and I'm
- 38:20Speaker 1: going back to school. I want to be but it's gone.
- 38:26Speaker 1: It's like modeling now. I want to be on Project
- 38:28Speaker 1: run White and Steve and I really if you can
- 38:31Speaker 1: help me get on this ship? There? Didn't I just
- 38:34Speaker 1: say what do we have to do? And then he
- 38:36Speaker 1: said nothing? And now he come talking about some damn

- 41:06Speaker 1: couple of questions for you. As promised, this segment is
- 41:09Speaker 1: called how old were you Win? How old were you
- 41:12Speaker 1: when you had your first kiss. Let's say, Gwen, he
- 41:15Speaker 1: did that to me. I didn't want it. What do
- 41:21Speaker 1: you mean? You were traumatized? She made me do it.
- 41:23Speaker 1: She snatched me off my bike. She stayed across the street.
- 41:25Speaker 1: She was a big girl. He pulled me out off
- 41:27Speaker 1: the bike and threw me up against me tree and
- 41:29Speaker 1: kissed me real hard. And then what No, I just
- 41:33Speaker 1: felt violid. I didn't I didn't cry number, It was
- 41:38Speaker 1: just traumatized. And she was big. She was actually on
- 41:41Speaker 1: my TV show. Yeah, I remember, I remembering they found
- 41:44Speaker 1: her and they found Gwyen Harris and then she came
- 41:47Speaker 1: on TV and talking I didn't make you, you wanted it.
- 41:51Speaker 1: I looked at it. I'm going just a damn line
- 41:58Speaker 1: though I told her came down that. Man, I ain't
- 42:01Speaker 1: seen Gwen Harris. Man. I think last time I saw
- 42:04Speaker 1: Gwen hass I was at a mama's funeral. Man. It
- 42:06Speaker 1: might have been nineteen and you had no idea she
- 42:09Speaker 1: was going to be understand no idea. And my first
- 42:13Speaker 1: kiss was on my talk show and it was not
- 42:16Speaker 1: a kiss. It was not memory, but it very forceful.
- 42:19Speaker 1: She was stronger than she was handling my living my laugh.
- 42:25Speaker 1: But were you in the in the were you at
- 42:27Speaker 1: that age where you liked girls started. I never went
- 42:32Speaker 1: through the phase where I didn't like girls. I like
- 42:34Speaker 1: girls in kindergart Yeah, I had the girl on my show.
- 42:40Speaker 1: But the first girl I ever walked home. I walked
- 42:43Speaker 1: her home in the sixth grade and carried her book

- 42:51Speaker 1: Michelle Hawkins. Michelle Hawkers was in high school with me
- 42:55Speaker 1: when I was walking and playing I want to go
- 42:58Speaker 1: outside in the rain in the cafeteria, and she wouldn't
- 43:00Speaker 1: give me a date. And that song was on. And
- 43:03Speaker 1: that's why that song go Outside means so much to me.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Yet she was on my show too, And when they
- 43:10Speaker 1: all came out, I named every last one of Wow,
- 43:14Speaker 1: that really threw them. Am. I'm sure they remembered you.
- 43:16Speaker 1: Excuse me his name? What? What did you just say?
- 43:20Speaker 1: Don't try to help him, junior? He just definitely said
- 43:25Speaker 1: it's you don't never learn. He was voting. He was
- 43:31Speaker 1: voted most difficult in high school. Let's just move on. Yes, yes,
- 43:41Speaker 1: how old were you? How old were you when you

- 44:02Speaker 1: the Sky. That was off the Head to the Sky.
- 44:05Speaker 1: But my favorite song on that album was Masquerade. Can
- 44:09Speaker 1: this is what you're gonna sing? Bel Masquerade? I want
- 44:19Speaker 1: to know all we what we really see, all the
- 44:25Speaker 1: outside and hiding what we really are old the inside.
- 44:37Speaker 1: Just when you think he's finished, deed, Yeah, I just
- 44:43Speaker 1: you're something you're really not. Old world is a masquerade.

- 52:18Speaker 1: Tell him you're gonna name the baby Tommy. Yeah, tell them,
- 52:20Speaker 1: tell Jackson that I'm gonna name the baby Tommy. That
- 52:26Speaker 1: is boy, that's my girl. That made me nervous, Yes,
- 52:33Speaker 1: says about that man man a thinking if you Oh,
- 52:41Speaker 1: y'all got me thinking about the first Earth into it. Okay,
- 52:46Speaker 1: here's another one. Um, How old were you when you
- 52:49Speaker 1: made your first million dollars? I like to know the
- 52:55Speaker 1: news in the thirties, late thirties. Wasn't later than that?
- 53:01Speaker 1: Later than that you made a meal with the Steve
- 53:03Speaker 1: Hart Show. I was the lowest paid lead of any
- 53:07Speaker 1: TV show on television? Was that because you were black? Well,
- 53:11Speaker 1: because I didn't know, forget color, this lack of knowledge.
- 53:16Speaker 1: I did not know when I signed. I signed for
- 53:23Speaker 1: for what you thought was probably a lot, a lot
- 53:25Speaker 1: of money at the time. Right, seventy dollars Yeah, per
- 53:29Speaker 1: showers show what that's a lot of money? But how
- 53:34Speaker 1: much was but that was the lowest. How much my
- 53:37Speaker 1: Lawrence was getting when he left TV. My Lawrence was
- 53:41Speaker 1: getting like four seventy five a week. Wow. That's encouraging.
- 53:46Speaker 1: That's encouraged. Absolutely. I'm not tell people this all the time.
- 53:49Speaker 1: It takes a long time to make a lot of money.
- 53:51Speaker 1: You don't just run out here. My daughter and told
- 53:53Speaker 1: me I'm gonna make a million dollars my first year. Okay, cool,
- 53:56Speaker 1: that's great. Right then, now, I wanted to push you
- 53:58Speaker 1: in the flow that's gonna go out here. And it's harder,
- 54:04Speaker 1: and it's harder even to maintain it. Right, once you
- 54:07Speaker 1: make it, it's much harder to maintain than it is
- 54:10Speaker 1: to make. As difficult as it is to make. To
- 54:13Speaker 1: continue to produce, it is monumental effort. Wow, it's daunting.
- 54:18Speaker 1: But once you get there, you learn the principles, you
- 54:21Speaker 1: would hear better. At least you know more, alright, and
- 54:23Speaker 1: you want more because once you get a taste of it,
- 54:25Speaker 1: you ain't gonna go back in here. Alright. Coming up
- 54:27Speaker 1: next Strawberry Letter. We'll be back. You're listening to the
- 54:30Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, alright. Coming up next Today's Crazy
- 54:34Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter as always, But first, Oprah Winfrey in the
- 54:38Speaker 1: news your good friends, Steve. She's opening up about why
- 54:41Speaker 1: she and her long term, long term partner step and
- 54:43Speaker 1: Graham have never gotten married. The couple has been together
- 54:47Speaker 1: for more than guess how long, six thirty years. They've
- 54:52Speaker 1: been together for thirty years, and Oprah tells Vogue that
- 54:57Speaker 1: they did consider tying the knot at one point, but
- 54:59Speaker 1: real if they did, they wouldn't still be together. Really,
- 55:04Speaker 1: Oprah explains, we would have not stayed together because marriage
- 55:07Speaker 1: requires a different way of being in this world. She adds,
- 55:11Speaker 1: at his interpretation of what it means to be a
- 55:13Speaker 1: husband and what it would mean for me to be
- 55:15Speaker 1: a wife would have been pretty traditional, and I would
- 55:19Speaker 1: not have been able to fit into that. Yeah, because
- 55:22Speaker 1: she's not a traditional person. She's had a different life.
- 55:27Speaker 1: You know. He wants a wife to stay home and
- 55:29Speaker 1: cook and clean and yeah, got news for you. Yeah,
- 55:38Speaker 1: not a lot of things. I was just you my
- 55:51Speaker 1: bank account, but clean. But she doesn't. She's not if
- 55:56Speaker 1: you don't have to. Yeah, I'm not mad at that.
- 55:59Speaker 1: I ain't man that, none of it, you know, I'm
- 56:01Speaker 1: you know, if you can, if you can get yourself
- 56:03Speaker 1: a deal, yes, where you can just go live your life.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Probably all the sign that exactly, thank you, thank you,
- 56:11Speaker 1: thank you. I'm not mad at that. Carla, on the
- 56:14Speaker 1: other hand, has been cooking since she was nine, as
- 56:17Speaker 1: we learned. Yes, yeah, nine watched the clothes at your
- 56:22Speaker 1: house who do what? Who washed the clothes at your
- 56:26Speaker 1: let me the house keeping name. I'mis you who it ain't.
- 56:31Speaker 1: I don't know what the clothes I took off this
- 56:35Speaker 1: morning for I came in here. I don't know what.
- 56:37Speaker 1: I don't know what happens to you do not take
- 56:41Speaker 1: your clothes off and step out of them and leave
- 56:44Speaker 1: they be right there on that close up. I don't
- 56:47Speaker 1: know what. I don't know, very god mother, Patrick. I
- 56:54Speaker 1: don't hang up nothing. I throw stuff down when I
- 56:57Speaker 1: come back. Ain't nothing in the front. I don't know what.
- 57:00Speaker 1: And then next I know one day it's just all back.
- 57:07Speaker 1: If I don't know if they're washing what, we don't
- 57:10Speaker 1: really have to go to cleaners, go well dry cleaning facility.
- 57:14Speaker 1: What is well? Hurry hurry time for the mega to
- 57:21Speaker 1: the letter, Yeah, hurry up. But you can machinery. You
- 57:24Speaker 1: can own the machine. We gotta talk about this. And
- 57:26Speaker 1: if you could dry clean your clothes, Jesus is on
- 57:31Speaker 1: the main line. It's just a machine. You just couldn't
- 57:34Speaker 1: trick down people down. They got machine. You can get smallers.
- 57:38Speaker 1: It is in justinff just got trained. Somebody had Why
- 57:40Speaker 1: do you go clean up? Why I'm sitting stuff out.
- 57:47Speaker 1: You dodge Jim and I don't know how to work
- 57:50Speaker 1: it or a nothing. I walked past the little room.
- 57:53Speaker 1: Rippy hot his heir in that hallway. All right, stop
- 57:58Speaker 1: right there, we'll we'll breathing. Were the letter come on? Subject?
- 58:10Speaker 1: Where do I be again? First of all, Hello Steve, Shirley, Carla,
- 58:16Speaker 1: and Tommy. I live in a small southern town in Georgia.
- 58:20Speaker 1: To say no more, I recently moved to Florida ten
- 58:23Speaker 1: months ago, to the big city of Jacksonville for a
- 58:26Speaker 1: better paying job. A month after I moved there, I
- 58:29Speaker 1: met a wonderful man who I deeply have feelings for.
- 58:33Speaker 1: But he lives back home near my old hometown. Every
- 58:36Speaker 1: other weekend he comes down to see me. I offered
- 58:39Speaker 1: to come back home to visit him, but he's said
- 58:42Speaker 1: not to bother because we wouldn't have the privacy like
- 58:44Speaker 1: we do here at my apartment. Well, I am fine
- 58:47Speaker 1: with that saves me from not paying these high gas prices.
- 58:51Speaker 1: L O L. Well to the point code cracker. My
- 58:55Speaker 1: best friend back home is getting married and I am
- 58:59Speaker 1: so happy for her her but I told her I
- 59:01Speaker 1: was unable to make it to the wedding due to work,
- 59:04Speaker 1: which I was lying to her well. The weekend of
- 59:07Speaker 1: the wedding was coming up, and I began to feel
- 59:09Speaker 1: guilty tell my boss I needed a couple of days
- 59:12Speaker 1: off due to some issue back home. While I was
- 59:15Speaker 1: heading back home, I thought I would call my boyfriend
- 59:18Speaker 1: and tell him I was coming home for a couple
- 59:19Speaker 1: of days for a wedding. Well, he told me he
- 59:22Speaker 1: was going to a wedding also, but didn't have time
- 59:24Speaker 1: to see me because the wedding was out of town,
- 59:27Speaker 1: which I was fine with. I got to the ceremony
- 59:30Speaker 1: in time to get a seat for the wedding and
- 59:32Speaker 1: wished my best friend the best of luck for her wedding.
- 59:36Speaker 1: Sitting in the far back of the ceremony, I couldn't
- 59:38Speaker 1: see her new husband to be all that well, so
- 59:41Speaker 1: I decided to move up closer where I saw an
- 59:44Speaker 1: empty chair so I could see the wedding and get
- 59:47Speaker 1: a better look at the groom. As I walked up
- 59:50Speaker 1: to the chair, I noticed the groom to be is
- 59:54Speaker 1: my boyfriend I've been saying for nine months. I left
- 59:58Speaker 1: soon as I left soon as I saw him, which
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: he didn't see me. Now my best friend is married
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: to this man I once had a relationship with. I
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: broke it off with him, but giving him a different
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: reason why I couldn't see him any longer. I want
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: to tell my best friend of five years about her
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: husband and I, but my best friend doesn't even know
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: I'm gay? What should I do? Because he doesn't deserve
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: a wonder woman like my best friend? Helped me out? Sincerely,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: my ex best friend's husband, now my ex best friend's husband.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Now wait, wait a minute, yeah, okay, okay, all right,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: my best friend of five years about her husband. But
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: my best friend doesn't even though I'm gay. What should
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: I do because he doesn't deserve a wonder woman like mother?
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: So are you saying that the person that wrote this
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: letter is a guy? That's what I got out of it.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: That's exactly what I out of it, Steve, I mean,
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: you know, uh, dear my ex boyfriend's husband. Now she
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: she or he starts with where do I begin? You know,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: I gotta say the same thing, Where do I begin?
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: I mean, I was fooled. I thought I had this
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: letter figured out until you know, you threw the drama
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: in the end. Up until that time, along with everyone else,
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I'm sure I thought you were a woman who was
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: writing this letter. I I really really did. But the
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: line that says my best friend doesn't even know I'm gay,
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: you know, indicates that a man is writing this letter.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: His best friend is a woman who just got married
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: to the man he was having an affair with. This
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: is fives, but that explains why the best friend wasn't
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: in the wedding. I was thinking that she was a man.
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: Why wasn't she? And his friends we absolutely, absolutely so.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: A man wrote the letter. He had an affair with
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: his best friends now husband, and he wants to know
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: should he tell his best friend his lover's wife. Oh
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: my goodness, The Code Cracker responses. You're listening to the
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right, come on, Steve with part two
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: of your responses today Strawberry letter. Let's go um, the
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: new groom is on the down low, which is a
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: very appropriate word because no matter how you look at it,
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: if you're on the down load, even if you try
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: to flip it, you low down. Either way you look
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: at this, this situation is ugly. See. I have no
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: problem with being a person being gay. If you're gonna
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: be gay and be gay, but just go be that though,
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: do not ruin somebody else's life. You know, come on
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: out with it. Be proud of it, that's what you are.
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: Didn't be proud of it. Take your stand. This is
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: your stand in life with my to judge. You know,
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: I got my own issues. I am not in the
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: judging people business anymore. I wance upon a time I
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: used to be. But if that's your thing, and that's
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: what floats your boat, didn't you do your thing? You
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: gotta work that out with your creator. You gotta fix
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: that out and your soul. You that that's your lifestyle.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: But if you're gonna have that as your lifestyle, didn't
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: have it. See the down low. It's what stinks when
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: you perpetrate into a woman that you her man and
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: all her man. Then you go out and you take
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: on some other man, but don't tell her about it.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Now you ruin her life. Okay, Now you're going down
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: here every other weekend with this dude. And once again,
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: brother that wrote the letter, I ain't got nothing against you.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: You're doing your thing. You live your life. That's how
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you choose to go. That's your business. My personal viewpoint
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: of it is not important because it ain't my life.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: So you just doing you. You've met a man you
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: deeply have feelings for, But this letter is written from
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: a different perspective. It kind of has gay road on it.
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: If you just read the letter. Every other weekend he
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: comes down to see me. That sounds like something something
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: man would tell a woman. But you offered to come
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: back home to visit, but he said not to bother
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: because we wouldn't have the privacy like we do here
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: in my apartment. Yeah. No, you can't have the same privacy.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: Privacy called the fiance got a kid and she would
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: keep coming in. Now, y'all can't be all that's all opinion.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: She got the key. But just having an affair, you know. Well,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: I'm just saying that's one of the reasons why you
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: just can't go back to that apartment. Well, I'm fine
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: with that. It saves me for paying those high gas prices. Laugh,
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: laugh out loud. This ain't funny. Nice little cute attempt
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: at a joke, but this ain't funny right now. Well
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: to the point, colde Cracker, My best friend back home
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: is getting married, and I'm so happy for her. But
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: I told her that I was unable to make it
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: to the wedding due to work, which is lying to her. Well,
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: the reason you lie to her was because that weekend
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: that she was getting married was your weekend that he
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: come down every other week can So you just lied
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and said you couldn't make it because you wanted to
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: stay in the house for your weekend. But then you
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: felt guilty and said, I'm going up to her wed
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: and so then you decided to call homeboy tell him
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you're coming. Well, guess what the reason he wasn't coming
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: to Jacksonville that weekend because he lied to you and said,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I'm going to a win. Well maybe we could hook up.
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: We ain't gonna have time called the way and I'm
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: going to out of town. Interesting not now, you just
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: got to me in line, And who lie better than me?
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: And I don't care if you're a man man or
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: gay man me and lie as well as anybody. I
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: don't know anyone that does. Thank you, but we have

- 1:06:55Speaker 1: What's the thing about? Right? What? Alright? Switching gears? Chance
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: the Rapper acted as a grand marshal of the Windy
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: City's annual bud Billikin Parade. We Love We did a
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: couple of years together, Steve. Then he hosted a free
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: invite only concert on Saturday night. Chan said it was
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: important to him for him to make sure the building
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: was full of the teachers, parents and other cornerstones of
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: the community that helped build local youth up. The biggest
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: surprise of the night was a prerecorded video message from
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: guess who Chicago. We're talking about Chicago. Yes, yes, yes,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: he sent his congratulations to Chance the Rapper. I thought,
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: Kelly from Chicago. He's one of the most famous Chicago
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: after all. No, it's from President Obama. He had a
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: great crazy man. Wow, that's really good. Chance. I love
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: the fact that he gives back in such a major
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: way to a city that he loves and grew up in.
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: And then he honored the teachers and the parents and
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: the you know, the important people in the community. Yeah,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: you know, because a lot of times teachers are those
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: unsung heroes, you know. And thank you for that. We
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: appreciate it. Yeah. And President Barack Obama with the video message.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: That's major. That's major. It is just dude on my
- 1:08:31Speaker 1: TV show. President Obama. Well, I'm sure you can make
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: that happen. Yeah, yeah, ye really think way too much
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: of me. That's a phone. The cleaners in your house,
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: we think a whole lot cleaners. It's just a cleaning machine.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Are your are your clothes ready? The same day, on
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: the next day, at three and do they do alterations?
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: What what you are? Something else? Steve Harvey, I love it.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: We don't know the cleaners. We did not know that, y'all.
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: How do you think people start cleaners? It's some machine
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: in the house. We didn't know they started. Ain't got
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: a lot of stories. Wall unit. We know about George Jefferson,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: Okaye Low They make all that for people. Don't you
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: just gotta want it? You know what? What have we
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: started to cleaning building? You know nothing? Why would you
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: need that? And why would you do that now? To
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: make six dollars on slas? Why would I be sitting
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: up in there working my ass off like that in
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: by seven out by noon? Who are you gonna make
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: two dollars? I'm gonna make folk because it's my ideal.
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: But that, don't worry about that point you're gonna make.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: You're gonna make that by yourself. I got a couple
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: of others. Take a flip a little bit more money.
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right? So, uh,
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Comedians sometimes get serious, you know, because life is serious.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: I mean they have a funny take on things in life.
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: But a lot of times they get serious, and last night,
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: UH comedian Jimmy Fallon, host of The Tonight Show, got serious.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: He talked about the thing, the tragedy that's going on
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: in Charlottesville, Virginia. He took a few minutes to say
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: how he felt about President Trump's late response to the
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: Charlottesville tragedy. Take a listen. Even though the Tonight Show
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: isn't a political show, it's my responsibility to stand up
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: against intolerance and extremism as a human being. What happened
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: over the weekend in Charlottesville, Virginia was just disgusting. I
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: was watching the news like everyone else, and you're seeing
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: like Nazi flags and torches and white supremacists, and I
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: was sick to my stomach. My daughters are in the
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: next room playing, and I'm thinking, how can I explain
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: to them that there's so much hatred in this world.
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: They're two years old and four years old. They don't
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: know what hate is. They go to the playground and
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: they have friends of all races and backgrounds. They just
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: play and they laugh and they have fun. But as
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: kids grow up, they need people to look up to
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: to show them what's right and good. They need parents
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: and teachers, and they need leaders who appealed to the
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: best in us. The fact that it took the president
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: two days to come out and clearly denounced racists and
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: white supremacists is shameful, and I think he finally spoke
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: at because people everywhere stood up and said something. It's
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: important for everyone, especially white people in this country, to
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: speak out against this. Ignoring it is just as bad
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: as supporting it. And remember there are people who have
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: given their lives to make sure this kind of hate
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: doesn't spread. They fought and died on the right side
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: of history. One brave woman in Charlottesville, Heather Hair, died
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: standing up for what's right at the age of thirty two.
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: I can't look at my beautiful, growing, curious daughters and
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: say nothing when this kind of thing is happening. We
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: all need to stand against what is wrong, acknowledge that
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: racism exists, and stand up for what is right and
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: civil and kind, and to show the next generation that
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: we haven't forgotten how hard people have fought for human rights.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: We cannot do this, we can't go backward. That was very,
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: very touching. You can hear the passion in his voice
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: that the dude he is. Yeah, he took a moment,
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: you know, to just talk about it because he has
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: daughters growing up. And the most important thing he said,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: it's important that white people stand up. You said that
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: just the other day. Let me tell you something. This
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: is not going to be cuted with just us. Slavery
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: didn't end because black people got tired of be is ladies.
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: We were sick of that before we got over here.
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: We were sick of hearing about it back in the
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: villages in Africa. What's happening They've coming to get and
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: take Well, oh man, we've been sick of it. Black
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: people had the most to do with it. But understand this,
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: without the help of some abolitionists, some Quakers, some carrying people,
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: just some god fearing people to go, wait a minute, man,
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: this ain't human beings, you know. And until that then
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: slavery just existed, this problem that we have here that
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: continues to exist. To act like I hate when I
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: hear people say there's no racism. I'm going where you stay, man,
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: I don't where you stay. Well, I'm not a racist.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: So because you're not a racist, don't mean racism don't exist.
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: It exists. And we got to stomp it out, and
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: and and but this guy David Duke, when he made
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: the comment the other day that when President Trump came
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: out and finally denounced this and use white supremacists in KKK,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: did you hear David Duke's response, say, he said, you
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: need to take a good look in the mirror, because
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: we are the backers. We are the supporters that got
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: you in the White House. See. And that right there
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: is scary because they took some of his rhetoric and
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: and wrapped it around the Nazi flag and the white
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: supremacist groups. Because when he said I'm gonna make America
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: great again, We're gonna take our country back. I don't
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: know if he said it exactly that like that, but
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: he said something and I to the effect that that
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: he wanted to make America great again. Well they took
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: it as well, let's get it back to what it was.
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: In order to make America great again, we got to
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: get it back to what it was. Because I didn't
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: never understood what period of time he was talking about
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: when was talking about let's make America. Because I'm sitting
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: there going because I don't remember none of my past
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: better than it is now. Now when I was ten, Barty,
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: you know, I'm about doing about as good as I've
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: been doing. Now, we have some problems in our country
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: for all of us who suffer injustices, and we got
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: to do something about it. But I promise you this though, Man,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: it cannot happen unless we all sick of it. And
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: now we're starting to get it to where we're all
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: sick of it, and now it's it's gonna something can
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: get done. It's sad that it has to come to that,
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: but it do. Yeah. I hate that that woman was
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: killed a tragic situation that she was down here man
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: to help others African American friends. Her mother said, she
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: has African American friends and she tied at them feeling
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: it just and she has gay friends and she tied
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: at him being you know, discriminated against. So here she comes. Okay, cool,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: Now here comes this butt hole. Now they have found
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: a picture him this report on CNN when he was
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: doing a study a little while ago. He had a
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: picture of him and his voice on his phone at
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: a neo Nazi rally. Yeah, even as high school UH
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: teacher came out and said that he was sympathetic to Nazis,
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: to the Nazi cause and all of that. So why
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: only twenties so much hate? I don't get it. Now,
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: Now we got a trial. He did it? Yeah, James Fields,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: what's the trial for now? All his money taxpaying, he
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: owned video here in the car, plenty of witnesses. Let's
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: get right to it. He don't need no damn loyal
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you you in. We'll be back any other country. Your
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: asses it, We'll be back. And we started doing people
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: like this is quick letting him off the hook. We
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: kind of got some of it. Careful, just answer the question.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Steve,
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: is that time again when we need you the most,
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: We need you to be the judge. It's time for
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: right or wrong with your nephews. And you ever noticed
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: all of the worst segments we have, tom Is, it's
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: amazing to be a part of the worst segment and
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: the best segment. Well, he's a part of the worst
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: and the best. We can confession the week. The pranks
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: are the best segments. Okay, he's a part of the best.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: Right or wrong. You just don't like the fact that
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: I make sense that I was to gang up and
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: this really shows you what the A and M college
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: system is doing. Is what this biddy shows me. Why
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: he got one. Gave a story about your Alma mother
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: too that I think I gave you, Shirley. Please, let's okay,
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: Oh yeah, oh yeah, yeah, we got him coming up?
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: What's not okay? Here we go. First of all, I
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: just text him because he don't pick up my call. No, Junior,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: don't answer your Can I work at a TV show
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: now in the daytime. I don't have time talk talk
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: to him. Okay, So let me ask you this. So
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: I asked him this last night. He ain't responded. Will
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: you tell him? It is rude for a deaf person
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: to do sign language? Why they mouth is full of food?
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: Are the most stupid. You're not supposed to talk while
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: your mouth is full. So am I right? You're not
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: supposed to sign language? Why all you're eating? Tell him
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: you're not gonna you fingers going? That's rude. But if
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: they could chew with their mouth clothes and talk. If
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: you can chew, if you can talk it out open
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: in your mouth, and I was a Paul, this is
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: just rude. You can't be doing sign language and your
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: mouth speller Paul sign language that now, then here's another
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: one for Mr Junior boy. Tell this boy if some
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: Simmy's twins have sick X with some most signmes twins,
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: ain't that swinging telling that I thought about that last
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: night time. I think you're right on that. Yeah, I
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: had to. I had to argue out. I can't even
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: I'm with you when you're right. If I look over
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: my shoulder and see my partner with the person I'm
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: connected to swinging believe Yeah, if you saw me twins
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: and you didn't here with your girl, ain't win here.
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: I love righting wrong. I'm sorry, I love it. I
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: love just stupid looking at me like, hey man, what
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: is you excited right here? I am you? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: And you were looking at us, you over that getting
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: it and I know what you're doing. But you try
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: to flip, y'all. I'll tell you what. You can not
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: get him go just like that. That's that's true. He
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: gonna text me back, okay, you you you kind of
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: got a point on it. He didn't want it. I
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: didn't want to admitted to get you know, reason why
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: I didn't picked up my collar because we're going the phone.
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: I see you do know the devil is married? And
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: then he gonna just hang up on what will you
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: tell him the devil is married? I gotta say, you
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: tell me? Got three out of there is right? Come on?
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Tell right? Wrong? Why? Yah? Finish it? I know his
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: wife and his ex wife. Why And Steve, you more
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: than one way you can get in trouble. Okay, Well
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: I was just talking about the devil. I just told
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: him the devil was mad because you know, because you
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: know when they when they be raining in sunshine and
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: at the same time that when they be arguing. That's why,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: because I know he my grandmama said, so I knew
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: he was man you're talking about. No, No, he actually
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: does have a wife. And when you stop, stop it
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: right now? And how much pain was you in? I
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: mean we all heard that when we were little, right
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: when it's raining or whatever. His wife. I've never heard that.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: This first time. I'm hearing this for Tommy, but I
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: am here to confirm. And how do you know it?
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: I d I did not don't say that, Steve, I
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: just didn't work out for you. Don't say that, Tommy,
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: are you Tommy? I love right? It wrong? This first
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: time you ever been two out of three? Okay, I
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: don't want to say this. I'm telling you good. The
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: deaf one was the only one. I didn't like that
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: swinging Simmy Twins and Lucifer ex White. I'd say you
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: got three out of three today. Yeah, I don't, But
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: you're the judge, Steve. No, I think he was. He
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: was on five today except for the death talking. I
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: think it's very gifted if deaf person can talk and
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: chew with his mouth. I think. Let me tell you
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: right now, because my my mouth food fall out my
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: mouth of all the time when I'm talking. When we
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: come back, we're gonna talk about Tommy's alma mater, Texas
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: A and m what you're listening to the Steve Harvey
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, Tommy as promised, we're gonna talk
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: about your alma mater, Texas A and m uh it's
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: in the news your school. Uh yeah, yeah, before you
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: say it, Can I just throw the term he'll billy
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: out there? White white nationalists? Yeah, when you know, when
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you start a sentence off with white nationalists is not
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: going to be White nationalists are planning on September eleven,
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: get this, White Lives Matter protests September eleven, nine eleven. UH.
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: The A and M student newspaper The Battalion initially reported
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: that organizer Preston Wigginton said it was he was inspired
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: by the found like a race said. He said he
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: was inspired by the Unite the Right rally last weekend
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: in Charlottesville, Virginia. Really, dude, really really? What was inspirational about? White? Yeah?
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: What did they not? Of course? Uh? Of course the
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: event turned violent, you know, between white supremacist counter protesters.
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: Wigginton also had plans to invite Richard Spencer, the white supremacist,
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: to organize last weekend's rally. What the heck is going on?
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: What about the white woman who was killed? Yes, s
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: see you fit to really find out something about life.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: But I don't understand. See America, this freedom of speech
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: we got it sucks to the point sometimes you cannot
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: come on a state college. Is that a state school
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: topic where we pay taxes and do and say what
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: you want to say on the campus that taxpayers are
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: paying for and students paid to go to that school
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: that may not want to hear it. You can't come
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: up in there with all of that, especially when it's
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: hate now we gotta stop some of these rules around him. Man,
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: this is ignorant. You can't get a permit for a
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: parade to spread hatred. Yeah, it was. That's I agree
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: with that. I agree with that. Freedom of speech. They
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: have to cut it off somewhere. When you talk about
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: I mean a woman was killed here to state paratroopers
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: were killed. Uh, this is yeah, this is horrible. How
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: are you How are you inspired by this? How are
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: you inspired? Inspired by this? Hatred? Yeah? This is ridiculous.
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: To tell you something, you can try it if you
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: want to. But them people down there in Brian, Texas,
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: they got some fun. There's some black people and Brian
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: not gonna heavy. Well, it's some white people down there too.
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: Because the white people in Brian you ain't. You ain't
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: gonna ring that down here. Yeah, I'll tell you what. Yeah,
- 1:27:20Speaker 1: I mean, have a heart after what happened last weekend
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: and Charlotteesville comes on, but you ain't wrang it down there.
- 1:27:26Speaker 1: Some some budhole comes win't get through in another comarative,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: start whit people. When you do that right now, I'll
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: tell you what. I'll tell you what. I'll tell you what.
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: Drive a car down the street and go that's so stupid.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: On sept Timber, it's distressed and disappointed. That's your school.
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: But just ask this questioning its white lives matter, because
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: I'm not gonna come on, Tommy giggle that. Yes, we
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: know that white lives matter. We don't have a problem
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: with white lives mattering. All black people want to know
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: is can ours matters justice equal exactly. That's the basis
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: of the whole Black Lives Matter movement? Man, you know, yeah,
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: quit shooting us in the back. Quit opening the window
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: and shooting in the car like that. Brother. All right,
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: we'll be back in Minnesota. We'll be back. You're listening
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Last week, Tiger Woods
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: pleaded guilty to reckless driving. For good reason. Of course,
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: he never stood a chance in court, though ESPN obtained
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: a toxicology report from the night of his arrest. Tiger
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: was wasted on a cocktail of powerful painkillers vico In
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: and Dela did dilatlotted. Yeah, yeah, that's it to me.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: I've heard of thought. Yeah, thats gonna get to me.
- 1:29:14Speaker 1: Oh yeah, when you have a Christie, I had it
- 1:29:17Speaker 1: in Italy. I had it. Why did you have it. No,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: I was headed. I had a gelatto that's Italian. Okay,
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: what drug did you say? Delotted? Ohto it made me
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: feel if you if you give them gelato, you feel bad.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: I don't know too much. I had you high. I
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: didn't do nothing to me. The cottail also included ambient.
- 1:29:53Speaker 1: That's the sleeping aid. We know that. To help calm
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: his nerves. Tiger had taken Zanex and t see, which
- 1:30:01Speaker 1: is the active ingredient in marijuana. First of all, let
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: me just say this. I could need to get in touch.
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: He needed to get in touch with the earl in
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: him because stop all Yeah, we have to stop all
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: this capital in asianuse. Now you're in't here trying stop
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: all this Cavalnessian. You're black. They're treating your black. You're
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: getting arrested, getting the cues. Yeah yeah, it's black. Now
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: stop all this. Look just like Homer sim Yeah. But
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: what he needs to do, though, is stop all this
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: and you know and see he's he said one of
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: his mistakes was he got away from Buddhism. He's chanting
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: and stuff like that. Well, I don't know how that works,
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: and I ain't here to slam. Nobody's religion at all
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: in any way, so there ain't none of my business.
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: But let me just tell you this though. Here's Jesus.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Would be a good start, would be a great many
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: thank I can need to do. And what Tomy just said,
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: and just try Jesus. Hey, he's never felt this yet.
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: Not knocking nothing else, but Jesus do work, Lord, God,
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: Heavenly Father does work. Amen o MG, all that work
- 1:31:23Speaker 1: you actually started with. I'm I'm not knocking statues. It
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: ain't what I do. But if I could recommend something
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: to you in the world of rists, something about the
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: name Jesus. It is the sweetest name I know. That's
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: just a recommendation. Now try that. You might can make
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: a comeback and everything miracles happen. But right now, whatever
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: you're doing, it ain't working and you need to stop
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: today because you can't make a comeback. Was something that
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: ain't right. When you make a recommendation, you got some
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: substance to go with that. I have lost everything I've
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: ever owned before, completely went down and all the way under.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: When they said what they're saying about Tiger, they have
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: said it about me. Somebody sent me something the other day. Man,
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: let me find this what somebody sent me the other day.
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: Just try Jesus. Yeah, I mean, taste and see that
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: I am good. All right, let's go to break and
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: we'll come back and maybe you'll have it by then.
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. All right, here we
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: go with just one more thing before the break. Steve,
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: you were trying to find a scripture that could possibly
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: help Tiger Woods, but it was a partner mine. Ricky
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: Lewis sent this to me on Sunday. He had just
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: come out of church and if I could get this
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: to Tiger Woods, it could help al Woods. If I
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: could get this to anybody out there is struggling right now,
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: it could help you because it helped me when I
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: got it. Please share, he said. He called me side
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: gamble because that's why I played. He say side gamble
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: in church today. This is what he said. You don't
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: realize that Jesus is all you need, and to Jesus
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: is all you have. Matthew one eighteen through Matthew one
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: eight thing to you don't realize that Jesus is all
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: you need until you realize Jesus all you've got. See
- 1:33:38Speaker 1: that right there? I see, But I've been down to
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: that point. See, I got took down to why I
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: had nothing except his name, That's all I had left.
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: And buddy, let me tell you something. You get to
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: you gets to saying it enough times now it is
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: he's listening, and he'll do that to get your attention.
- 1:33:59Speaker 1: Dog aim right through for your boy. So I was
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: solid man, so and I recommend that to people too.
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: But it's a dog on a shame that you don't
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: realize that Jesus, all you needing to Jesus is all
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: you've got, you know. So what I do now is
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: so I ain't gotta get stripped down. I know now.
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: I just called on him when I don't need nothing. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: that's when the thing can come in. Yeah, I don't.
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: I don't wait till I need something to call him.
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: I call him all the time, and he's there when
- 1:34:30Speaker 1: I need something. My voice is familiar, you know that.
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: Ain't so all here you come now? Come? No, no, no,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: every day. Yeah, there was a song called don't wait
- 1:34:42Speaker 1: till Midnight man talking about you know, don't wait till
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: that eleventh when you really need him to call on me,
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: you know. But I'm wondering if he would be open
- 1:34:51Speaker 1: to that, if he would just be open to hearing that.
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: I know he wasn't raised in that faith at anything
- 1:34:56Speaker 1: like that. But at one point in time, man, that's
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: what happens. Man. You get out to nothing and you
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: gotta do something because you gotta go. Why does it
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: keep snowballing for me? And it's not improving at all,
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: It's just going down the hill going down? Yeah, but man,
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: you don't It doesn't have to be that way for you.
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: Life is temper said. What happens to you is what
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: you do about it. But if you've prayed up, if
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: if you stay in prayer, man, if you if you
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: can just hold on to faith, God is always coming.
- 1:35:31Speaker 1: See this thing you're asking for, you gotta quit thinking
- 1:35:35Speaker 1: of it has denied, It's not denied. Sometimes it's delayed.
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: I've been looking for this deal that I thought was
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: gonna happen for me last year. It's still ain't happened.
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: That don't mean it ain't gonna happen. And that doesn't
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: mean what God is doing is just getting things in place.
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: It's just working it out. And if I'm gonna come
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: down from heaven and say, here's Steve and especially if
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: you got in your bast see his his the thing
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: for the stuff that you're asking God for, you gotta
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: watch because if He gave it to you right now,
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: could you really receive it, hold on to it and
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: maintain it. So a lot of times when you ask
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: God for it, you know, man, you have to you
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: know a lot of times when you ask God for it,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: you have to wait because there are some things that
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: have to go into place. And when it goes into place,
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: then you get it. Because it's something I've been wanting
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: for a while now, but he won't give it to
- 1:36:35Speaker 1: me because I got some people around me that he
- 1:36:39Speaker 1: don't want to have it. See that's cold, that's cold.
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: So think about it this in your life. Have you
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: been asking God for something and could it be the
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: reason that He can't give it to you right now
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: because as somebody in your circle that would benefit from
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: it that really shouldn't have it. Could that be? And
- 1:37:02Speaker 1: oftentimes that's it if you look really, really carefully, because
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: there's somebody in your life, man, that you've been really
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: questioning their presence, but because you're loyal to them and
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: you trying to be forgiven and a good friend you.
- 1:37:14Speaker 1: Oftentimes you overlook them. But if you are questioning a
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: person's existence in your life and your space, there's a
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: reason why you're questioning them. And everybody got him. Oh yeah,
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: Oprah told me that. She said, Steve, everybody got She
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: said the President got him. Everybody got him. So who
- 1:37:33Speaker 1: in your life is in your space and in your
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: circle that you keep getting the feeling that you really
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: don't need them there, or they really don't mean you good,
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: but you allow them to exist. And you know what
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: it is, it's just because you're a decent person and
- 1:37:47Speaker 1: you're forgiven person, and you try to find a good
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: in everybody, and you don't wanna you don't want to
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: take nothing from them. You don't want to cause nobody
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: no discomfort. But listen to me, Man, if you don't
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: prune the tree, your tree quick growing and then bushes
- 1:38:04Speaker 1: get wild up there. Wow, Well think about that. If
- 1:38:07Speaker 1: you plan on playing the powerball um tonight tonight, think
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: about that. Saturday Night's Powerball drawing did not yield a winner,
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: pushing the drawing for tonight's Jack Pott. Listen to this,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: Steve up to a whopping four hundred and thirty million dollars.
- 1:38:29Speaker 1: Let me play something. Yes, how much is a ticket?
- 1:38:38Speaker 1: How much is a ticket? It's a dollar, right, something
- 1:38:41Speaker 1: like that. You can get like ten. No, let's get
- 1:38:46Speaker 1: a ticket. Let's go now the cash value of that
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: jack potts around. People buy more than one. That's that
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: was my point. Yeah, it only takes one though, Yeah,
- 1:38:59Speaker 1: but you know you gotta have more shots in the
- 1:39:02Speaker 1: odds at least. What's dude? What doesn't take it? I'm
