- 0:15Speaker 1: million bus things. And it's good Steve listening together for Steve.
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't joy. You gotta turn you, you gotta turn
- 1:41Speaker 1: to turnout, turn got to turn out to turn the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water to the water. Got me come come on your baby,
- 2:01Speaker 1: Uh huh, I shall well, good morning everybody. You're listening
- 2:06Speaker 1: to the voice, Come on dig me now, one and
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey Man got a radio show. Wow man,
- 2:12Speaker 1: how good has God been to me? You know? Today?
- 2:15Speaker 1: Let me get right to it because I'm I'm kind
- 2:18Speaker 1: of feeling this today, and I'm pretty sure that's just
- 2:21Speaker 1: quite a few of you who go through the same
- 2:23Speaker 1: things today. Today was just a little tough morning from
- 2:28Speaker 1: me because I didn't want to leave home yesterday. You know,
- 2:32Speaker 1: I wanted to stay home a little. I just gotten home,
- 2:35Speaker 1: you know, I gotta go again. And sometimes, you know,
- 2:38Speaker 1: just the weight of all that you have to do
- 2:41Speaker 1: just gets on you sometimes and sometimes you don't feel
- 2:44Speaker 1: like doing it today. Huh. You know, I'm just talking
- 2:50Speaker 1: to those who feel this way every now and then,
- 2:52Speaker 1: and I'm assuming that would be everybody, because I don't
- 2:55Speaker 1: know nobody who can just ply through this thing without
- 2:58Speaker 1: having those days. Well, what do you do when it
- 3:03Speaker 1: gets hard to stay up? What do you do when
- 3:06Speaker 1: it gets hard to be positive? What do you do
- 3:10Speaker 1: when it seems like things aren't happening for you fast
- 3:14Speaker 1: enough or in the time frame that you thought it
- 3:17Speaker 1: was going. What do you do? And the reason that
- 3:20Speaker 1: I guess I chose to speak about this this morning
- 3:23Speaker 1: is because I'm having one of those days. Because I
- 3:26Speaker 1: had one of those days yesterday. It's just a tough day.
- 3:29Speaker 1: I really can't explain. It's nothing really in particular bad happened.
- 3:35Speaker 1: It's just I think the weight of all that's going
- 3:41Speaker 1: on started to feel heavy to me. And so what
- 3:47Speaker 1: do you do when when you have days like that,
- 3:50Speaker 1: when it's hard to be positive, when it's hard to
- 3:52Speaker 1: stay up? Okay, here's what I had to start doing
- 3:55Speaker 1: this morning. Now I haven't completed it. Can I just
- 3:59Speaker 1: be real with you. I haven't completed it, but I
- 4:03Speaker 1: am processing it out because I know what to do.
- 4:07Speaker 1: You know, been there, done that. I didn't had that
- 4:09Speaker 1: pain before. I know what to do. You know, if
- 4:10Speaker 1: I sprain my finger, I know what to do now.
- 4:13Speaker 1: You know the first sprain I had, O Lord, I
- 4:15Speaker 1: thought it was broke. I thought I got me handac half.
- 4:18Speaker 1: But now if I spray my finger, I know what
- 4:19Speaker 1: to do. So since I've been in this position, in
- 4:22Speaker 1: this hole so many times before and God has always
- 4:25Speaker 1: gotten me through it, I decided I've got to start
- 4:28Speaker 1: the process today. Want to hear are some things Now,
- 4:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to the big one last. And one
- 4:36Speaker 1: of the things I do is I remember the plan,
- 4:41Speaker 1: sit down, and I consciously think about the goals I've set.
- 4:46Speaker 1: I go over them. See, I've gotten mine down on
- 4:48Speaker 1: an iPad so I can pull them out anywhere I
- 4:51Speaker 1: am and pull them up. And I've got two lists
- 4:54Speaker 1: that I've made. I've got a list of things that
- 4:56Speaker 1: I know I can accomplish if I just keep working
- 5:00Speaker 1: hard and if some couple of things just fall into
- 5:03Speaker 1: place that I can see. Then I got a list
- 5:06Speaker 1: of things that I'm planning on accomplishing. And then I
- 5:09Speaker 1: have a second list. And the heading of this list
- 5:13Speaker 1: is called only God can help me now. And on
- 5:16Speaker 1: this list it's things that I'm aspiring for or things
- 5:21Speaker 1: that I'm hoping to that in order for them to happen,
- 5:24Speaker 1: I absolutely have to have God's help. That's my favorite list.
- 5:32Speaker 1: It's the list that I have of the things that
- 5:35Speaker 1: I don't see no way it can happen. I'm just
- 5:39Speaker 1: operating on faith and the hope that God hear me,
- 5:43Speaker 1: and so sometimes, man, when you gotta when I have
- 5:47Speaker 1: this list of who only God can help me, now
- 5:51Speaker 1: that list is stuff that I cannot see. I'm just
- 5:55Speaker 1: operating on faith that God is so much bigger than me,
- 5:59Speaker 1: that he's so much more capable than I am, that
- 6:02Speaker 1: I can actually acquire some things in my life, as
- 6:05Speaker 1: he's proven to me time and time again up to
- 6:07Speaker 1: this point, that He's willing to do for me if
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm willing to just give him some of my life.
- 6:13Speaker 1: That's the only why I can't explain my existence today.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You know, I began the conversation with my wife, how
- 6:20Speaker 1: do I write a book that becomes so wildly successful?
- 6:24Speaker 1: That would be God. That's only God, Because if you
- 6:28Speaker 1: can plan to sit down and write a wildly successful book,
- 6:31Speaker 1: I'd have Benden sat down and did it, and so
- 6:34Speaker 1: would you, so that would be God. How it got
- 6:38Speaker 1: purchased to become a movie when that was not my
- 6:41Speaker 1: intent when I wrote the book at all. Again, that
- 6:45Speaker 1: would be God, right, there has to be, because if
- 6:49Speaker 1: I can't explain it and it is by no doing
- 6:52Speaker 1: of my own, then who did it? So when I
- 6:55Speaker 1: get down in days like this, I remember the goal.
- 6:58Speaker 1: I remember the plan. I remember the journey. I think
- 7:02Speaker 1: about of all the things God has bought me through,
- 7:04Speaker 1: how did I even get to this point? Yeah, I
- 7:06Speaker 1: might be having a little bummer over day. Yeah I
- 7:09Speaker 1: was a little down yesterday. Yeah, my bio rhythms is off,
- 7:12Speaker 1: whatever they want to call it. Yeah, I'm just having
- 7:15Speaker 1: one of those days. I feel a little bit heavy.
- 7:17Speaker 1: I need a vacation real bad. I need some time
- 7:20Speaker 1: off to just go and regenerate. But right now, man,
- 7:23Speaker 1: I ain't got that. So guess what I do. I
- 7:25Speaker 1: gotta start remembering the plan. I gotta start remembering the goals.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I gotta start thinking about all the things that God
- 7:32Speaker 1: has done for me and how He has bought me
- 7:34Speaker 1: this far, and the blessings that I have instead of
- 7:37Speaker 1: what I don't have. And that's what I'm in the
- 7:39Speaker 1: process of doing this morning, And on the commercial breaks,
- 7:42Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull out my iPad and I'm gonna go
- 7:44Speaker 1: over my two lists, and I'm gonna read my little
- 7:46Speaker 1: list of what I think I can accomplish, and I'm
- 7:49Speaker 1: gonna really read that only God can Help Me Now list,
- 7:52Speaker 1: because that's the list that's big. That's the part where
- 7:54Speaker 1: I've been telling y'all. I said, quit telling God how
- 7:58Speaker 1: big your problems are. Start telling your problems how big
- 8:02Speaker 1: your God is. See And that's why I got to
- 8:04Speaker 1: sit down and do this morning. And then sometimes, man,
- 8:07Speaker 1: you got to stay still. That's the other part. You
- 8:11Speaker 1: got to stay still. You gotta quit moving for a second,
- 8:16Speaker 1: because sometimes it feel like you're running on a treadmill
- 8:20Speaker 1: and you really ain't you going somewhere, but it feel
- 8:22Speaker 1: like you're running on a treadmill. Well, when when you
- 8:25Speaker 1: get that feeling, sometimes you got to stay still. And
- 8:29Speaker 1: then when you stay still, sometimes you gotta fight to
- 8:31Speaker 1: stay positive. Sometimes you gotta fight not to let the
- 8:34Speaker 1: devil win. You're in a fight, mam. I told you this.
- 8:37Speaker 1: Now you're in a fight now. So trying to get
- 8:39Speaker 1: you to get on that positive train so he can
- 8:41Speaker 1: get you off the faith train. So God's delivery package
- 8:45Speaker 1: that's coming to you built on your faith that you can.
- 8:47Speaker 1: He can shake your faith and get you to thinking
- 8:49Speaker 1: negative and then he wins. See. So when you start
- 8:52Speaker 1: feeling negative, just know that that's the other force trying
- 8:55Speaker 1: to throw your off track. And when you get through
- 8:57Speaker 1: it all that he is the key, the big one.
- 8:59Speaker 1: You want me to tell it to you. You gots
- 9:01Speaker 1: to pray, man, You got to pray. You gotta take
- 9:04Speaker 1: it to God. You gotta say, hey, God, look I'm
- 9:06Speaker 1: having one of these days. I need your help. I
- 9:09Speaker 1: got business to take care of. You got blessings in
- 9:11Speaker 1: front of me. You got stuff you to ship to me.
- 9:14Speaker 1: You got blessings and packages that's on the way. I
- 9:16Speaker 1: need to be sitting on Faith streets so I can
- 9:18Speaker 1: receive the delivery when you get there. What I don't
- 9:21Speaker 1: want to do is be it on be on doubted
- 9:23Speaker 1: Way or or lack of Understanding Parkway, or Pity Parkway
- 9:29Speaker 1: or some street like that, and the package keep going by.
- 9:33Speaker 1: I need to be standing and sitting on Faith Street,
- 9:36Speaker 1: so when you drop that package down to me, I
- 9:38Speaker 1: can go on and get it. You feel me. You
- 9:41Speaker 1: got to pray. You got to stay still, you gotta
- 9:44Speaker 1: fight to stay positive. You gotta remember the plan you
- 9:47Speaker 1: gotta go over the goals. Come on, man, God and
- 9:49Speaker 1: brought you too far. Come on, pick yourself up today.
- 9:52Speaker 1: I'm talking to Steve Harvey this morning. Hope y'all didn't
- 9:55Speaker 1: mind you're listening to ladies and gentlemen. Let's get this
- 10:04Speaker 1: understood before I say anything today that I am about
- 10:09Speaker 1: to reach a level of ignorance today that is really see.
- 10:17Speaker 1: You gotta understand what's happening on this show. We know
- 10:20Speaker 1: who's stupid. That ain't what we're doing today. This is
- 10:29Speaker 1: a level of ignorance that I proclaim in the realm
- 10:34Speaker 1: of professionalism that is very rarely overseated. M huh, all right,
- 10:45Speaker 1: here is an example. Yeah right. Trump is in violation
- 10:54Speaker 1: of damn near every human right that's ever been righted
- 11:00Speaker 1: for human Can I get amen? Hey man, surely, Starberry
- 11:08Speaker 1: say you're welcome, Steve, Good morning, Thank you, Carlin Pharrell, Amen,

- 12:46Speaker 1: I ain't mad man, I'm so happy to be back
- 12:48Speaker 1: at work. You don't even understand. Hey, Junior, huh you
- 12:53Speaker 1: know what today is? What's that national coet today? Oh,
- 12:58Speaker 1: don't think I ain't got one. Let me go, I
- 13:05Speaker 1: get my fold. I'll be right back here. Not a
- 13:11Speaker 1: work in here by myself. Yeah, we gotta we gotta
- 13:19Speaker 1: warm up today. I can't. We're not doing it right now.
- 13:23Speaker 1: We know, no, no, unless it's masterpiece, we can wait. Yeah,
- 13:33Speaker 1: all right, coming up with thirty two minutes after the hour,
- 13:35Speaker 1: asked the CLO. The clothe chief office in the building.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to all right, time now
- 13:47Speaker 1: for ask the CLO Ready close right here, here we go.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Anonymous in Ohio says, you've been discussing wives that have
- 13:57Speaker 1: problems with the ex husbands with their husband's ex and
- 14:01Speaker 1: I need advice to I attend the same church as
- 14:04Speaker 1: my husband's ex wife, and I returned to church on
- 14:07Speaker 1: Sunday for the first time since March. I saw his
- 14:10Speaker 1: ex wife and gave her half a smile as we
- 14:13Speaker 1: walked out of church. Wow, I know that she was
- 14:16Speaker 1: in my husband's old car that he gave to his
- 14:20Speaker 1: mother a year ago. I was livid, and I called
- 14:24Speaker 1: my husband from the parking lot. He told me his
- 14:27Speaker 1: mom let his ex wife drive a car till hers
- 14:30Speaker 1: gets fixed. I'm shocked to learn that my mother in
- 14:32Speaker 1: law still talks to this woman and that my husband
- 14:36Speaker 1: is okay with all of this. Shouldn't he have asked
- 14:39Speaker 1: me first? What, No, he gave his mama a car.
- 14:46Speaker 1: You know you knew he gave the mama the car.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Now his mom wants this her car. She can't do
- 14:52Speaker 1: what she want to do with it. He can't tell
- 14:55Speaker 1: his mother you can't let her use the car I
- 14:58Speaker 1: gave you. She's quite the mother in law's loyalty too.
- 15:03Speaker 1: Ain't skip all that. First of all, you need to
- 15:06Speaker 1: quit passing out these half ass smiles at search search
- 15:11Speaker 1: because you don't mean it. Now, since God don't like ugly,
- 15:17Speaker 1: he lets you see her in your man's old car.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Still on the holy ground. Now, it ain't nothing wrong
- 15:25Speaker 1: with that lady driving her mama's car. You were surprised
- 15:27Speaker 1: to see the the hair relationship. That ain't got nothing
- 15:31Speaker 1: to do with your husband. And you can't get mad
- 15:32Speaker 1: at your husband because he okay with it. He gave
- 15:35Speaker 1: his mama the car. Your mama led his ex wife
- 15:40Speaker 1: you out of car. Ain't a damn thing he could
- 15:42Speaker 1: do about it. Mamma, don't let her drive a car. No,
- 15:44Speaker 1: how ain't gonna do that's his mama. Yeah, you're going
- 15:47Speaker 1: too far with this right. If he had asked her first,
- 15:49Speaker 1: she would have said, now, all right, dumb and Charlotte, Okay,
- 15:55Speaker 1: I'm thirty one years old. You know this is a
- 15:56Speaker 1: man right there. I'm thirty one years old and I've
- 16:01Speaker 1: been married four years, four years one to three. Four.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Two weeks ago, I went out with a couple of
- 16:06Speaker 1: friends and my son's babysitter was in the spot. She's
- 16:09Speaker 1: twenty six and very attractive, but nerdy. I sent drinks
- 16:14Speaker 1: to her and her friend. She came over, thanked me,
- 16:17Speaker 1: and then her song came on and she got excited.
- 16:21Speaker 1: She backed up on me and started slow grinding on me.
- 16:24Speaker 1: I couldn't help myself, and I grabbed her hips and
- 16:27Speaker 1: moved with her. We kept drinking and dancing till we
- 16:31Speaker 1: ended up in the bathroom, up against the wall of
- 16:33Speaker 1: a stall. Her friend left, so I took her home.
- 16:37Speaker 1: On the way to her place, she hooked me up
- 16:40Speaker 1: while I was driving. Yeah, boy, let's go, let's drop.
- 16:44Speaker 1: Did you're not here? The part where he said he's
- 16:46Speaker 1: been married four years? This was the best night of
- 16:49Speaker 1: my life. I can't get her off of my mind.
- 16:53Speaker 1: What am I supposed to do? Nice? Thirty one? Yeah
- 16:59Speaker 1: he's thirty one, she's hold he's been married four years?
- 17:05Speaker 1: Yeah that's all. This ain't good. You don't see the
- 17:09Speaker 1: goodness in this? You don't shut He know he done right,
- 17:18Speaker 1: He wrote the letter. Now suppose this girl? Okay? Now?
- 17:22Speaker 1: What was the last line of his question ship? He says,
- 17:26Speaker 1: I can't get her off in my mind? What am
- 17:28Speaker 1: I supposed to do? It was the best night of
- 17:30Speaker 1: his life, he sanks. Steve Oh what see, you're not
- 17:34Speaker 1: asking for help, right, You're making a proclamation that you
- 17:40Speaker 1: just had the best night of your life. How that's
- 17:44Speaker 1: the best night of your life is beyond me. You
- 17:47Speaker 1: ain't had much of a life if your best night
- 17:51Speaker 1: of your life was at a club, in a bad room,
- 17:53Speaker 1: against the wall and on your way home. Hey, that's
- 17:57Speaker 1: my son. Probably the most tripped out thing that's ever
- 18:02Speaker 1: happened to you at a club. But obviously she's been
- 18:07Speaker 1: feeling you for quite some time. This is not an accident.
- 18:11Speaker 1: This ain't cause y'all was drinking, because you remember everything
- 18:15Speaker 1: that happened. His son's babysitter, Steve Boyd. Let me explain
- 18:20Speaker 1: something to you. If if you continue this is this
- 18:26Speaker 1: is gonna get bad for you. That's all I say,
- 18:30Speaker 1: because because because you can quite saying it's your son's babysitter,
- 18:33Speaker 1: you can stop saying that. And how y'all got a
- 18:35Speaker 1: twenty six year old babysitter and you ain't but thirty one.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I don't know how your wife signed up for that.
- 18:41Speaker 1: An ass mess right there? How much your babysitting supposed
- 18:46Speaker 1: to be fifteen years old? And it's your niece exactly
- 18:51Speaker 1: that's who supposed to be your babysitter. She's not allowed
- 18:54Speaker 1: in the club. So right there, you're good. So to
- 18:59Speaker 1: do what he's gonna do. He gonna go out with
- 19:01Speaker 1: it again. He just had the best night in his life.
- 19:03Speaker 1: He ain't looking for a solution. Uh, he's not. That's
- 19:07Speaker 1: why he signed the letter dumb in Charlotte. Well, I'm
- 19:11Speaker 1: just gonna tell you, bro, either you stop now or
- 19:13Speaker 1: it's gonna go bad. Yeah, I'm gonna lose everything. Either way,
- 19:17Speaker 1: it's gonna be good, though. I'm just trying to tell you.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Either way, not if he loses it, but if that
- 19:25Speaker 1: means that means it was really good, but he lost something.
- 19:29Speaker 1: Ain't none good gonna come out to this boy. Listen
- 19:32Speaker 1: to Steve, please the chief love onna listen. You're listening
- 19:35Speaker 1: to a dude who got married recently a little while back,
- 19:39Speaker 1: and it's it's struggling and you look at with a
- 19:43Speaker 1: talking to a man that don't like being married at all.
- 19:46Speaker 1: Bitcher man. Hence the name. Okay, here we go, Aura Lee.
- 19:52Speaker 1: This one's from Aura Lee Clo in Montgomery. Huh or
- 20:00Speaker 1: she's she's sixty two years old. She's been dating the
- 20:03Speaker 1: associated pastor of her church for eleven years. He's been
- 20:06Speaker 1: making excuses for years whenever I start talking about us
- 20:10Speaker 1: getting married. He's a pastor and we're living in sin.
- 20:13Speaker 1: But my issue is a younger woman in the church
- 20:15Speaker 1: that I think he's been sneaking around with. He says
- 20:18Speaker 1: she's not as type and she's too young, but I
- 20:20Speaker 1: see how he watches her walk around the church. I
- 20:23Speaker 1: don't want to be a fool for him, but I'm
- 20:25Speaker 1: ready to fight for what's mine. I'm thinking about stepping
- 20:28Speaker 1: to the young woman. How should I handle this? Why
- 20:31Speaker 1: are you crazy for a step over there and get
- 20:34Speaker 1: your ass will but leave a young girl alone? Run
- 20:38Speaker 1: your old ass over there and just get flat out
- 20:41Speaker 1: dust period, fight for mine? He ain't show us all right, Zello,
- 20:50Speaker 1: We thank you as always. Coming up next, it is
- 20:53Speaker 1: the nephew would run that prank back right after this.
- 20:56Speaker 1: You're listening, She's a Steve Harvey Morning show coming up
- 21:00Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. Miss Anne is standing
- 21:02Speaker 1: by with today's national news that includes highlights from Joe
- 21:06Speaker 1: Biden's acceptance speech from the final night of the Democratic
- 21:09Speaker 1: National Convention last night, and in entertainment news, Lisa ray
- 21:14Speaker 1: Wait till you guys hear this. Lisa Ray wants an
- 21:17Speaker 1: entanglement with Will Smith. We're gonna talk about these stories
- 21:21Speaker 1: at the top of the hour. You heard me, But
- 21:24Speaker 1: right now the nephew is here run August and we
- 21:29Speaker 1: all can't handle that. What you got for us? Now,
- 21:34Speaker 1: that's funny. Shaye Leon, stay Leon. You know his name Leon,
- 21:40Speaker 1: but it's shay Leone. Let's play that. Come on, Hello,
- 21:46Speaker 1: thank you for calling me. Hello, I'm please, how you doing? Listen?
- 21:52Speaker 1: My name is Shae Leon and I was calling you
- 21:55Speaker 1: to see if you had any boof rental in the
- 21:57Speaker 1: salon at you work here. I'm sorry your name sha
- 22:00Speaker 1: Shay Leon. I mean my real name is Leon, but
- 22:03Speaker 1: my artistic name is Shy Leon. Shay Leon is what
- 22:05Speaker 1: they call me Leon. Okay, Um, Actually I do have
- 22:10Speaker 1: faith for another person to come in at work. Um.
- 22:13Speaker 1: I am in a sweet Um. It's rather small in here,
- 22:16Speaker 1: but if you are interested in coming in working, I
- 22:19Speaker 1: would really like to have someone come in and work
- 22:21Speaker 1: with me. That would be nice. Can I ask you
- 22:23Speaker 1: a questions? I'm good, what's your background? What do you
- 22:26Speaker 1: do atually? Well? Actually, I've just moved here to DC.
- 22:29Speaker 1: I was actually living in the Los Angeles area, and
- 22:34Speaker 1: you know, I've been doing hair there for the last
- 22:36Speaker 1: probably fifteen twenty years. I've been doing hair. Uh, definitely licensed.
- 22:40Speaker 1: You know, I just moved here, but I've been doing
- 22:44Speaker 1: here for quite a long time. I specialized and only
- 22:46Speaker 1: doing females hair. And you know, just looking to get
- 22:50Speaker 1: into DC and get back to work, and Okay, I
- 22:52Speaker 1: really want to find a place where I can do
- 22:54Speaker 1: some hair and and you know it's going to take
- 22:56Speaker 1: me a minute to get some clientele built up, but
- 22:58Speaker 1: you know, I know my work. It's good. Okay. Well, um,
- 23:02Speaker 1: I am in a high traffic area, and I think
- 23:04Speaker 1: this would be a great area for you just coming
- 23:06Speaker 1: in from another state, especially because California, right, Um, is
- 23:11Speaker 1: it possible you can come in and take a look
- 23:14Speaker 1: and see what you can you know, I'd love I'd
- 23:16Speaker 1: love to come in and take a look and see
- 23:17Speaker 1: what I want in the type of work environment you have.
- 23:19Speaker 1: And so I'm understanding that a lot of people that
- 23:23Speaker 1: do had and have different rooms. Is that how this
- 23:25Speaker 1: setup is, Yes, that's how it's set up. However, I
- 23:28Speaker 1: did you actually have you actually have a sweet I
- 23:30Speaker 1: do have a suite M it's a double sweet, so
- 23:32Speaker 1: there is room for another technician. But you know, with
- 23:36Speaker 1: it being such close quarters, you know, you gotta got
- 23:38Speaker 1: to kind of get a feel for the person that's
- 23:39Speaker 1: going to come in and work for you. So yeah,
- 23:41Speaker 1: right right, because it's gonna be working real close to
- 23:43Speaker 1: each other. I understand. You know, if we kind of
- 23:45Speaker 1: meet each other, you know, we can get a feel
- 23:46Speaker 1: for each other and see if each working. Let me
- 23:48Speaker 1: ask you something. Have you have you had a PHS?
- 23:52Speaker 1: Have you worked around a PHS person before? I'm sorry?
- 23:55Speaker 1: Who a PHS? Have you worked around? I mean that's
- 23:57Speaker 1: that's pretty much what I do. Have you worked around
- 24:00Speaker 1: the PHS? I'm not I'm not familiar with that term.
- 24:04Speaker 1: Is that a California term? I don't. PHS is? Uh?
- 24:09Speaker 1: Private hair specialists? Have you worked with a private hair
- 24:11Speaker 1: specialist before? Um? Well, I would consider myself private being
- 24:16Speaker 1: so I'm in a suite, but where you would be
- 24:19Speaker 1: working out and open with myself, So I don't know
- 24:21Speaker 1: how private you would be. Oh no, no, no, no, no no,
- 24:23Speaker 1: you're not. You don't understand where it's coming from. I'm
- 24:26Speaker 1: a PHS. Okay, private hair specialists? And what that is
- 24:30Speaker 1: is I do women's private hair, like if they want
- 24:35Speaker 1: removal from under their arm or their chin or you know,
- 24:40Speaker 1: but most of my work actually resides in the bikini line. Uh.
- 24:44Speaker 1: You know, I'm an artist, so I've known to put
- 24:45Speaker 1: your name there. I can die of different color, a
- 24:49Speaker 1: mohawk landing strip, you know. Let me let me, let
- 24:53Speaker 1: me let me stop you right there. Um, you did
- 24:56Speaker 1: call and say you were hairstylest, and the last time
- 24:58Speaker 1: I check a hairstyles, they would be style here to
- 24:59Speaker 1: hear on top of the head. Leon does hair, It
- 25:02Speaker 1: doesn't doesn't necessarily have to be the hair on the head.
- 25:05Speaker 1: I'm just saying, I still here, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka.
- 25:09Speaker 1: What's what's your name again? I'm sorry, Leon, you cannot
- 25:11Speaker 1: continue to get this wrong. Shay Leon Okay, I'm sorry.
- 25:15Speaker 1: What was the name your mom gave you? Because my
- 25:18Speaker 1: government name is Leon? But Leon, okay, Leon, Leon, Leon. Again,
- 25:23Speaker 1: this is a suite and you will be working in
- 25:25Speaker 1: the open with myself and my clients who are a
- 25:28Speaker 1: customed to having a professional setting. Um, and I don't
- 25:31Speaker 1: think it would be appropriate for you to have someone
- 25:34Speaker 1: come in and have a landing strip an airport, a
- 25:37Speaker 1: plane their baby daddy's name put it, I don't, I
- 25:40Speaker 1: don't out or whatever you do. That's not what we're
- 25:43Speaker 1: about here, because so are you trying to say that
- 25:45Speaker 1: you're not open for new ideas. I'm sorry. If you
- 25:48Speaker 1: consider that a new idea, then I'm giving you phone
- 25:50Speaker 1: number to someone else because this we're not going to
- 25:53Speaker 1: do that here. I haven't, but we're not. Excuse me,
- 25:58Speaker 1: excuse me, excuse me. You called my salon. Where did
- 26:01Speaker 1: you even get my number from? Why? What made you
- 26:03Speaker 1: think that you could call my shop and then this
- 26:05Speaker 1: is what we do and you could come here and
- 26:07Speaker 1: you could do that. Well, I'm thinking that you would
- 26:09Speaker 1: be open for something new. Why would you think that
- 26:11Speaker 1: I'd be open for that? Who told you that? I mean,
- 26:17Speaker 1: you came all the way from California and you called me.
- 26:21Speaker 1: You're not coming to my salon to call your name
- 26:24Speaker 1: anybody else's name, and you have a landing strips any
- 26:27Speaker 1: type of initials. Okay, this is a professional salon. And
- 26:31Speaker 1: we found hair. The hair on the head is what

- 33:22Speaker 1: if I you it was on me, miss and Tripp. Okay, Oh,
- 33:26Speaker 1: here we go, everybody. Good morning. This is and trip
- 33:28Speaker 1: with the news. Well. The Democratic National Convention ended last night.
- 33:32Speaker 1: It was the very first virtual gathering, and when it
- 33:35Speaker 1: was all over, former Vice President Joseph Biden was the
- 33:38Speaker 1: official candidate for president and Kamala Harris, the first woman
- 33:41Speaker 1: who colored to ever run on a major party ticket
- 33:44Speaker 1: for vice President. Biden reminded his fellow Democrats about who
- 33:47Speaker 1: he is, who he'll be, and how they can make
- 33:50Speaker 1: it all happen or take very personally the profound responsibility
- 33:55Speaker 1: of serving as commander in chief. I'll be a president,
- 33:58Speaker 1: will stand with our allies and friends and make it
- 34:00Speaker 1: clear to our adversaries. The days of cozying up to
- 34:04Speaker 1: dictators is over. Under President Biden, Americle will not turn
- 34:09Speaker 1: a blind eye to Russian bounties on the heads of
- 34:12Speaker 1: American soldiers, nor I had put up with foreign interference
- 34:16Speaker 1: on our most sacred democratic exercise, voting. And the former
- 34:21Speaker 1: VP blasted Donald Trump as a president who has quote
- 34:23Speaker 1: sold the seas of chaos and division, especially when it
- 34:26Speaker 1: comes to race. But he says he sees America that
- 34:29Speaker 1: is bigger than that, Greater than that. Will we be
- 34:34Speaker 1: the generation that finally wipes out the stand of racism
- 34:38Speaker 1: from our national character. I believe her up to it.
- 34:42Speaker 1: I believe we're ready. Maybe George Floyd murder was a
- 34:46Speaker 1: breaking point. Maybe John Lewis is passing the inspiration. But however,
- 34:52Speaker 1: has come to be America is ready, in John's words,
- 34:56Speaker 1: to lay down quote the heavy burden of state at last.
- 35:00Speaker 1: In times as challenging as these, I believe there's only
- 35:04Speaker 1: one way forward. Are you Unite in America. Unite in
- 35:08Speaker 1: in our pursuit of a more perfect union, Unite in
- 35:12Speaker 1: in our dreams of a better future for us and
- 35:15Speaker 1: for our children. United in our determination to make the
- 35:20Speaker 1: coming years bright for Lord's sake. This is the United
- 35:24Speaker 1: States of America. This is our moment, This is our mission,
- 35:30Speaker 1: as love and hope and light join in the battle
- 35:33Speaker 1: for the soul of the nation. This is a battle
- 35:35Speaker 1: we will win, and we'll do it together, I promise
- 35:39Speaker 1: you well. Now in the heels of the Democratic Convention,
- 35:42Speaker 1: the Republican National Convention begins next week in Charlotte, North Carolina.
- 35:46Speaker 1: It'll be virtual too, of course. The R and C
- 35:48Speaker 1: expected to feature right wing internet celebrities and Donald Trump
- 35:51Speaker 1: every night. Organizers say they're going to be speeches from
- 35:54Speaker 1: members of the Congress, regular Americans who feel they've benefited
- 35:57Speaker 1: from Trump's policies, Internet famous concerts, and other people. The
- 36:01Speaker 1: theme is honoring the great American story. Now back to
- 36:05Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show, all right, Steve,
- 36:10Speaker 1: come on and turn its oide to mount to Jeffrey Brown. Okay,
- 36:15Speaker 1: today today I decided to go very serious, very very serious,
- 36:20Speaker 1: very serious. I am so sick of these people talking
- 36:24Speaker 1: about Kamala ain't black enough. Okay, she's black enough. It
- 36:28Speaker 1: all right. Not only that I wrote a song. Here
- 36:32Speaker 1: go hit it. She's back, She's got, and that's that.
- 36:41Speaker 1: Alduhas are there. You need to take it back. She's back,
- 36:44Speaker 1: She's got and that's that. All hits are there. You
- 36:48Speaker 1: need to take it back. Her mom and dad in
- 36:50Speaker 1: education the bomb, they got enough degrees to get on
- 36:53Speaker 1: the both. She put the hard university in DC. I
- 36:57Speaker 1: don't care how you talk of desk black to me
- 37:00Speaker 1: that the Hindu would do a Baptist church. That's true deformation.
- 37:03Speaker 1: For what it's worth, they say the black of the
- 37:06Speaker 1: barry to sweet it you, but the light's getting buried
- 37:09Speaker 1: that to show you proof got more education, Ben Trump
- 37:12Speaker 1: and pins and the time of it all off black
- 37:15Speaker 1: comme and say so. You say you don't like it
- 37:17Speaker 1: because she's all your tough, but we all know someone
- 37:19Speaker 1: who needs to be locked up and ain't can't amber
- 37:22Speaker 1: part of the band nine sister b Pete, don't that
- 37:25Speaker 1: blow your man. I ain't talking no more and I
- 37:28Speaker 1: ain't telling no joke. You wan't your life better get
- 37:30Speaker 1: out their hand boat. She's black, she's got in. That's slack.
- 37:34Speaker 1: All your leaders that there you need to tell my
- 37:36Speaker 1: shame last black. She's that it's any matter come up
- 37:39Speaker 1: with you and some stuff that doesn't walk away and
- 37:41Speaker 1: take it back. She's hang up the phone. And that's black.
- 37:45Speaker 1: When the hands of trumble and you can't hit it.
- 37:47Speaker 1: Hay back Man's staying like I asked him to do that.
- 37:50Speaker 1: All you leaders, Like, the woman is black, hay Back,
- 37:53Speaker 1: She's but I want to get and that's black. But
- 37:55Speaker 1: she's a yell fire game black. Just had to say
- 38:04Speaker 1: that at the end, I love it, blackman, nobody and
- 38:20Speaker 1: where is the black board that? Yeah? Then you got
- 38:22Speaker 1: to go improve your blackness? Where is this that? I
- 38:26Speaker 1: don't know? I mean really where going? But it be
- 38:33Speaker 1: us though, yes, ye, yes, yeah, yeah us every time
- 38:39Speaker 1: we're the only ones be talking about levels of blackness. Yes,
- 38:43Speaker 1: you get your ass pulled over by the police. All
- 38:46Speaker 1: these levels is the same girl? How black you want
- 38:51Speaker 1: somebody to be? She has she educated, She went to
- 38:54Speaker 1: a howard U a k A man And like Jay said,
- 38:59Speaker 1: if you haven't a conversation with somebody, just walk away
- 39:01Speaker 1: from because it's an ignorant conversation. Got enough things to do,
- 39:06Speaker 1: all right, Jay, thank you? Coming up at the coming
- 39:10Speaker 1: up at thirty four minutes after the hour. Well, last
- 39:13Speaker 1: night was the night for Joe Biden. He officially accepted
- 39:16Speaker 1: the presidential Democratic nomination. And we'll talk about it right
- 39:19Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show. Last night was the
- 39:25Speaker 1: final night of the Democratic National Convention, and Joe Biden
- 39:29Speaker 1: gave his Democratic presidential nominee acceptance speech. Last night's theme
- 39:34Speaker 1: was America's Promise. Speakers included Atlanta Mayor Kesha Lance Bottom's
- 39:39Speaker 1: former presidential candidates, Michael Bloomberg, Pete Buddha Judge and Senator
- 39:44Speaker 1: Corey Booker. Joe Biden's children, Ashley and Hunter Biden spoke,
- 39:48Speaker 1: and there was a tribute to Joe's deceased son Bo
- 39:52Speaker 1: plus a tribute to the late civil rights icon John Lewis.
- 39:56Speaker 1: Here was some of Joe's speech. Take a listen. Irish
- 39:59Speaker 1: poet Sha Massini once wrote, history says, don't hope on
- 40:03Speaker 1: this side of the grave, But then once in a
- 40:07Speaker 1: lifetime belonged for tidal wave of justice can rise up
- 40:11Speaker 1: and hope and history rhyme. This is our moment to
- 40:15Speaker 1: make hope and history rhyme with passion and purpose. Let
- 40:19Speaker 1: us begin, You and I together, one nation under God, unite,
- 40:23Speaker 1: our love for America united, and our love for each other.
- 40:26Speaker 1: For love is more powerful than hate, Hope is more
- 40:28Speaker 1: powerful than fear, and light is more powerful and dark.
- 40:32Speaker 1: This is our moment, This is our mission history and
- 40:36Speaker 1: be able to say that the end of this chapter
- 40:38Speaker 1: of American darkness began here to night as love and
- 40:42Speaker 1: hope and light join in the battle for the soul
- 40:44Speaker 1: of the nation. And this is a battle we will win,
- 40:47Speaker 1: and we'll do it together, I promise you, see right, Yeah,
- 40:54Speaker 1: I am convinced, beyond the shadow of a doubt that
- 41:01Speaker 1: he should be in the White House instead of who

- 53:50Speaker 1: Buckle up and hold on tight. We got it for you.
- 53:52Speaker 1: Here It is by letter, Thank you nephew. Subject does
- 53:56Speaker 1: he have a problem or am I the problem? Even Shirley,
- 54:00Speaker 1: I'm married to a wonderful man that is thirteen years
- 54:04Speaker 1: older than I am. He is my everything, and in
- 54:08Speaker 1: the beginning of our marriage, we were very active and
- 54:11Speaker 1: traveled a lot. Now it's like he's settled into being
- 54:14Speaker 1: old and boring, and I can barely get him to
- 54:17Speaker 1: take a walk with me. I asked him if he
- 54:20Speaker 1: was depressed and advised him to see a doctor. He
- 54:23Speaker 1: went to the doctor and got a clean bill of health.
- 54:26Speaker 1: We used to enjoy a martini in the evening too
- 54:28Speaker 1: unwind and reconnect, but lately he's turned to drinking brown liquor,
- 54:33Speaker 1: and I've noticed to change in him. He is grumpier now,
- 54:37Speaker 1: and he snores like a wild man in the bed.
- 54:40Speaker 1: I have to admit that his sex game is better
- 54:43Speaker 1: if he's had the brown liquor, but right afterwards he
- 54:46Speaker 1: passes out. My biggest problem with him is kind of embarrassing,
- 54:51Speaker 1: and I don't know how to handle it. He's been
- 54:54Speaker 1: urinating in his sleep and the smell of the brown
- 54:59Speaker 1: liquor has saturated our mattress and reeks throughout our bedroom.
- 55:04Speaker 1: At first, it would be just a few drops, and
- 55:06Speaker 1: the more he drank in the evening, the more he'd
- 55:09Speaker 1: urinate in his sleep. He would get up like nothing
- 55:14Speaker 1: was wrong and the next morning and I wouldn't say
- 55:17Speaker 1: a word in case he was already ashamed. By the
- 55:20Speaker 1: fifth time he did it, I brought it to his
- 55:22Speaker 1: attention and he downplated by saying he was too comfortable
- 55:26Speaker 1: to get up to use the toilet. I suggested that
- 55:29Speaker 1: he go back to the doctor, and he refused. He
- 55:32Speaker 1: told me I could sleep in the other bedroom. Since
- 55:34Speaker 1: it was such a big deal to me, Why would
- 55:38Speaker 1: he ask me to leave our bedroom. It makes me
- 55:41Speaker 1: wonder if he's doing this on purpose because he's lost
- 55:44Speaker 1: interest in me. Please advise, well, he definitely has lost
- 55:50Speaker 1: interest in the bathroom for some reason, and we don't
- 55:54Speaker 1: know why yet. This is a great testimonial for depend
- 55:57Speaker 1: though I think I don't understand anything about this letter.
- 56:01Speaker 1: I really don't. I think you should definitely invest in
- 56:04Speaker 1: some depend I didn't know brown liquor made you urinate
- 56:08Speaker 1: on yourself. I've never heard this before, and in your sleep.
- 56:11Speaker 1: I just I have never ever heard anybody talking about this.
- 56:15Speaker 1: I think we're all, you know, we're all people that
- 56:18Speaker 1: have had that dream, you know, the one where we
- 56:21Speaker 1: almost go on ourselves in the bed, but we wake
- 56:24Speaker 1: up just in time before we went to bed. Some
- 56:29Speaker 1: don't make it, but most do. We weren't even drinking
- 56:33Speaker 1: brown liquor. It was just dreaming that you were going
- 56:36Speaker 1: to the bathroom. And I think your husband is just lazy.
- 56:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna say it. I think he's lazy and he
- 56:41Speaker 1: just doesn't want to get up. He said it's comfortable
- 56:43Speaker 1: in the bedroom. He told you that. But I do
- 56:45Speaker 1: agree with you that he wants you out of there.
- 56:49Speaker 1: I agree with that he wants the freedom to pee
- 56:52Speaker 1: in peace. Yes, so if you're in the other bedroom,
- 56:55Speaker 1: he could do it by himself. I mean, I don't
- 56:59Speaker 1: know how you could stand this for five times before
- 57:02Speaker 1: you said something, But um, you know, I'll give you credit.
- 57:06Speaker 1: What a woman, what a wife? I mean not saying
- 57:08Speaker 1: anything the next morning, you say because you you don't
- 57:11Speaker 1: want him to feel what he already might be. And
- 57:14Speaker 1: that's ashamed. But he didn't sound like he was. He
- 57:17Speaker 1: wasn't ashamed. This is not normal, though, it really isn't.
- 57:21Speaker 1: I think he needs to leave the brown liquor alone.
- 57:24Speaker 1: And I think he definitely should get back to the doctor.
- 57:27Speaker 1: Take your advice on that. Get back to that doctor immediately,
- 57:31Speaker 1: because it sounds like something is wrong medically, and that's
- 57:36Speaker 1: all I have for you, Steve. Now, now that ain't
- 57:40Speaker 1: it all. It's all this is wrong, All this is wrong.
- 57:46Speaker 1: What is it, Steve? What is it? It's a two
- 57:49Speaker 1: part series. Before we go to break, I'm gonna give
- 57:52Speaker 1: you the first part. Okay, this is what my initial
- 57:56Speaker 1: reaction to this letter was. He taught h m hm,
- 58:01Speaker 1: he's tired of her. He thirteen years old in you.
- 58:04Speaker 1: He's everything in the beginning, very active travel. Now it's
- 58:10Speaker 1: like he's suddenly into being old. He's thirteen years older
- 58:13Speaker 1: than you. He is probably settling into being old, but
- 58:18Speaker 1: just born and barely taking a walk with you and stuff.
- 58:22Speaker 1: That's something else. Then you thought he was depressed. He
- 58:25Speaker 1: went to the hospital, got a clean Billy Hill. He's
- 58:27Speaker 1: not depressed. He wasn't depressed at the doctor's office. He
- 58:32Speaker 1: depressed what he at the house? Remember y'all used to
- 58:37Speaker 1: drink a martini. They're unwinding and reconnecting the evening. See
- 58:42Speaker 1: that that that that clear? Look ain't getting it no more.
- 58:47Speaker 1: He didn't have to resort to brown licor something harder
- 58:51Speaker 1: than a martini. What does this mean? He didn't he
- 58:56Speaker 1: tired of her. Oh wow, No, I'm telling you this
- 59:01Speaker 1: woman is not discussing a problem that they have. That's
- 59:07Speaker 1: a major information missing out of this. I can tell
- 59:12Speaker 1: by the letter. He didn't just stop drinking Martinez and
- 59:18Speaker 1: all of a sudden just started drinking Ian Jay, y'all
- 59:24Speaker 1: u with Hitnessy and Crown. He'll be there trying to
- 59:29Speaker 1: trying to wash it down with some markers y'all up
- 59:36Speaker 1: in the bourbon and everything. He trying to forget something.
- 59:45Speaker 1: And he's grumpier now and he snores like a wild man.
- 59:52Speaker 1: He is drowning you out. He don't want to hear
- 59:58Speaker 1: nothing you got to say at night or in the daytime.
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: Hang on, Steve, now come back. I'm gonna tell you
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: the other thing that's happening in the Okay, that was
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: part one, coming up, you heard it. Part two of
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: Steve's responds to twenty three minutes after the hour, today's
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: subject Does he have a problem or am I the problem?
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening,
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: Does he have a problem or am I the problem?
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Does he have a problem or am either problem. Whenever
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: there's a problem, there's two reasons it's a problem. It's
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: your side of the story, and he's this side of
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: the story. Now you're saying he was finding the beginning.
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: He's thirteen years old and now he just acting, Oh,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: he don't even want to take a walk with you normal,
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: And y'all switched drinking from Martinis and he just switched
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: over to brown nickel. And you told him he ought
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: to go to the doctor because he seemed depressed. Doctor
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: saying nothing wrong with him. He's I know, it's just
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: what I'm He only depressed when he's at the house
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: with Hush Shirley. But I'm gonna tell you about that.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: Listen to me now. The second part it is, she say,
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: it's the most embarrassing. I don't know how to handle it.
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: He been year nating in his sleep, and the smell
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: of brown liquor has saturated our man brown looking strong.
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: You put brown, look Penicilla, h Holly greened you what
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: ox oxtail, gravy and cabbage and you got a funking
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: mass on your hands. So when he year natan, that's
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: another sign that he's sick of you. Any time you
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: roll over and touching, he pee a little, just the
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: touch of your hand on his back. Now you've even
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: said the brown liquor made him better in bed. But
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: as soon as he gets through, he falled right asleep.
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: Fellas sound familiar, sound familiar, fellas. As soon as it's over,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: it's over. Boom. Now. Then you said he would get
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: up like nothing, nothing was wrong, But then it got
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: worse and he started peeing a lot. And then then
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: when you approached him about it, you brought it to
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: his attention. He is the key to the whole letter,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: Let's hear it. He downplayed it by saying he was
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: too comfortable to get up to use the tardy girl.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. You ain't ever too
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: comfortable to pee on yourself. Excuse me, You ain't ever
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: too comfortable to lay up there and just pee on
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: your slf. What are you talking about? Grown ass man
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: told you he just comfortable. What you ain't that comfortable?
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: You think brown? Look a smell it burned too. He
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: ain't set up there comfortable, laying in that squishy ass
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: mattress talking about it. He was just too comfortable to
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: get off. He is trying to accomplish something. Y'all. Y'all
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: ain't listening to me. He's trying to accomplish something, ain't
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: no grown man laid up in that bed pete On himself,
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: stayed in it all night and got up in the morning,
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: act like, ain't nothing wrong to guess what, to guess what,
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: to guess what? She'll five times to she saying something
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: to it, and he said it ain't no big deal.
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: And then he said, if you don't like it, go
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: sleep in the other room. That was the objective the
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: whole damn time. He sick. Hut he just started peeing
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: in the bed. No, it's making her mad. He'd have
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: told her, you don't like it, go sleeping on the bed.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: Do that sound like somebody that loves somebody? Or do
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: that sound like somebody that's sick or somebody? It sounds
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: like somebody is here. He sure ain't nothing wrong with this, dude.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: But I mean, there are many other ways to get
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: her out of the bedroom. Yeah, I mean, come on,
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: five Yeah, this is disgusting. It is all of that.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: All you gotta do is just give me another reason.
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: I think he has a medical condition. He got a
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: damn medical condition. Depends is for people who can't make
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: it to the bathroom, not lay up there and just
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: urinate on your damn self. He's lazy and that lazy.
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Ain't nobody that A'm lazy to put brown liquor p
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: on your fat? He wanted dice? U bro, bro, Why
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: don't you just ask for a divorce? Do you have
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: to pee on me to? I don't understand this? What
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: is going on here? Yeah? I'm sorry. I don't follow
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: your logic. You don't have to follow my logic. It's
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: no logic to follow. How did this sound logical to you? No?
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: This is craziness. Why y'all pick this letter? Grown ass
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: man sitting up and hit p and on himself. We
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: can't help him. We no damn doctor. I think he
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: needs to get back to the doctor. Sir Lee, if
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: your wife asked you to go see about yourself, he said,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: he ain't going back down to no doctor. And if
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: you don't like it, go sleep in the other bedroom.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: That's not a medical condition. He's sick of I keep
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: telling y'all, I don't know why she's on thick of
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: him with all you in the other room and he coming,
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: and that he really do it? He walking to be
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: on the other baby, he really that is ridiculous. All right, look,
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. I'm fricking yeah
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: at Steve Harvey FM and on Instagram and on Facebook,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: and don't forget to check out the startcast. A man
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: coming up in forty minutes after. It's Natural Poetry Day.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: So we're here. Junior has a phone for us right
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well,
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: today is National Seniors Poetry Day, Yes it is, and
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: Junior is here to grace us what with a poem
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: about getting old? Surely by the poem by getting old?
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: This poem is called National Senior Poetry Day, but it's
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: dedicated to the oldest person on this show. We all
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: know who that would be and his goal if the
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: title of it is the oldest person on this show.
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: Here we go, the oldest member on the show. You
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: used to move fast, Now you move slow. Yeah, the
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: oldest member on the show would like to see your grandkids,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: but you can't go. The oldest member oldest show. Believe me,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: he's singing in me. I know. So I raised a
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: glass of apple sauce and salute this old fart because
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: he cannot eat nothing hard. He got to eat everything
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: that's soft. The endow my love. Yeah, yeah, Jake, that's
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: for you man. I just put senior and want you together.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: And I said, what apple, Yeah, I'm real. Salt, that's real.
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: It's salute all part. Because he can't eat nothing hard.
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: Everything he eats got to be salt. That's part today. Boy,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: I'm good. I get killing the boy. I don't hurt him.
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: Get out of COVID. You're gonna be writing a song,
- 1:08:27Speaker 1: you know what, Carlor, that might not be a bad
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna start making an album. Get back together. I'm
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: telling they better not. We're gonna be on the road
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: after this COVID because just part I mastered this, I
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: just a gonna ask people, are we gonna go around
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: the room? Go ahead, like back, go ahead. I don't care. Carl,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: come on already. He was gonna boot. It didn't matter
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: what I said. You was gonna boom home. You know what,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: This one was actually better than because you know, we
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: know why you didn't like the last one, because you
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: didn't like me. Do when Jesse Jackson, we know why anyway,
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: always hate I give this one a nice six point five.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I'll never get a ten from you. Ain't worried about that.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Six point five is really good. Go ahead, Jake, fairly even, yeah, even,
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: I love Yeah. Out of one from one to ten,
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: I'll give him an eighth. Thank you. That's that's a portrait. Fann,
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: though you would be a Paul. Give him an age.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Come on, sweet, are really really strong too? All right?
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Thank you? Jed coming under y'allill never get into heaven. Well,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: I've more having Steve Harvey Morning Show. We're gonna talk
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: about Sharon Stone. Have you seen her post on the Gram.
- 1:09:59Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this. You're listening, boy,
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: have you guys been seeing uh, Sharon Stone's actress, Sharon
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: Stone's posts on the Graham about her family? Yeah, her
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: sister is has COVID nineteen and she's really suffering. And
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: Sharon Stone just couldn't take it anymore, and she got
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: on the Graham and was talking about, you know, some
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: of the laws and things that are going on in
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: Montana and how her family, yeah, is suffering. They're really
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: suffering up there. We need to send prayers out to
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: Sharon Stone's family and she's telling you know, like I said,
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: what's happening in Montana, And um, I don't think it's
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: mandatory there to wear maths. Uh, they're not really taking
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: COVID nineteen seriously and testing is backlog and they don't
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: get the results system. Yeah, other places, I mean everywhere
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: it's having testing problems. But right, and you really feel her.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I mean she's raw. She's not the glammed up Hollywood
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: version of Sharon Stone. She's the real, no makeup, you know,
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: hair bag's yeah, yea yeah, yeah, and not just true.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: There are more members of her family, and she goes
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: on to talk about what's going on in Montana and
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: her family, and in the end, she's telling everyone to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: vote for Joe Biden and Kamala take a lesson. Yeah,
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: this is the state that we're in. The only thing
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: that's going to change this is if you vote, and
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: if you vote for Biden and if you vote for
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: Kamala Harris. And the reason that's going to happen is
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: because with women in power, we will fight for our families,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: we will fight for people to live, and we will
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: fight for people to get tested. Because the only countries
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: that are doing well with COVID are the ones that
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: have women in leadership. Please vote, and please, whatever you do,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: vote for a killer. Thank you. Wow yeah, wow, booms
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: shock a locker locker who Yeah, that's that's coming from.
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: But you know what, I wish the Republicans would have
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: had their convention first, because it's gonna get rid. They're
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: gonna be really really ugly. Yeah yeah, and then we
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: can't cancer to redirect. Yeah, we won't have our chance. Yeah.
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: I always say that though, Jay whoever, yeah, whoever in power.
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: So we gotta vote, y'all. We gotta vote. We got
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: We really do, because you know how I feel when
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: they go low, Let's go lower, you know, let's get
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: way up under that. Like when they go low, the
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: right by your foot so you can whip their hands.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: If they go they gonna kick them. But but you
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: know what Stevens, you know, with cheering Stone, with her
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: talking so raw and talking about what she's going through
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: with her family, like so many other Americans around the country,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: one hundred and seventy thousand people have died from COVID.
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: And listen to me, that's one hundred and seventy thousand
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: deaths when you have one hundred and seventy thousand deaths.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: The people that are affected by that are their relatives,
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: their friends, their neighbors, their coworkers. That number expands into
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: the millions quickly. Not a million deaths, but a millions
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: affected by the hundred and seventy thousand deaths. That's the
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: problem that Donald Trump has because this did not have
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: to be as bad as it is if we had
- 1:13:47Speaker 1: leadership who understood that testing, that thought it was essential,
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: that thought that this COVID disease was real and not
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: a hoax. Not so busy trying to blame China instead
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: of finding a cure and a way to secure the
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: safety of his constituents and the American lives. We wouldn't
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: be in the shape we're in. But he only cares
- 1:14:12Speaker 1: about himself and his friends. That's been arrested. That's it.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: He'd been cleared his hands of the COVID. He used
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: to give a daily press conference, but then he found
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: out he was losing that war. He ain't mentioned it. No, No, Joe,
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Beggy Paul have a plan. You think Joe Biden will
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: have a plan. Joe Biden is a smart guy, and
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: I loved his speech last night. Oh my goodness, Yes
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: he brought it home, didn't he. All right, thank you guys.
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: We gotta vote. Coming up. More of a Steve Harvey
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour right after this.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, A very special situation going on
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: in the feral household today. We would uh huhh. Carla

- 1:15:31Speaker 1: Whoa siftething to celebrate, Carla. That is congratulation, Thank you yours.
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: So I have to say happy anniversary to my king,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: my husband, my man, the father of our beautiful daughter.
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Happy anniversary to sixteen years. We celebrating, damn it, carl day.
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Then I'll be on the news. I don't care if
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: to swim all nights, swim on weekend. Crazy congratulations sixteen years,
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: that thank you thing definitely to be celebrated, right maam,
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: Thank you, Well, you're welcome. We'll have more of the
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show and some trending news coming up
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour right after this,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: you're listening show, all right, Steve, come on in sidebout
- 1:16:43Speaker 1: Jeffrey Brown. Okay, today today I decided to go very serious,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: very very serious, very serious. I am so sick of
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: these people talking about Kamala ain't black enough. Okay, she's
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: black enough, all right? Not only that, I wrote a song.
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: Here go hit it. She's back, She's got in. That's
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: that all you hitters out there, but you need to
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: take it back. She's back, She's got in. That's that
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: all you hitters out there, you need to take it back.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Her mom and dad education the bomb. They got enough
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: degrees to get under both. She went to hard University
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: in DC. I don't care how you talk of dash
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: black to me, steady Hindu would do a Baptist church.
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: That's true defamation. For what it's worth, they say the
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: black of the barrier to sweet to you, but the
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: light's getting buried. Got to show you proof got more
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: education than Trump and pins and the top of all
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: off black common says. So you say you don't like
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: it because she's all you're tough, but we all know
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: someone who needs to be locked up and ain't a
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: member part of the band. Nine Sister BP don't that
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: blow your man. I ain't talking no more and I
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: ain't telling no job. You want your life better get
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: out of their end boat. She's that, she's stopping that slack.
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: He is not that you need to tell my shame
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: last black, she's abody. Couple you with some stuff that
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: doesn't walk away and take it down. Hang up the phone,
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: and that's slack. I wouldn't have had this trouble. You
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: can't hit it. Hang back mane staying like I asked
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: him to do that. The woman is black back, but
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: I want to get in that slack, but she note
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: that's fire black man to say that at the year like,
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: I love it. Yeah, she's black woman with nobody and
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: where is the black board that? Yeah, then you got
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: to go improve your blackness? Where is this lookout? I
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: don't know. I mean really, I don't make celebrate her
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: and it's nowhere going. But it be us though, yes, yes, yes, yeah,
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: yeah be us every time we're the only ones be
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: talking about levels of blackness. Yes, yeah, you get your
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: ass pulled over by the police. All the levels is
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: the same. Yeah, GIRLO, how black you want somebody to be?
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: She educated? She went to a Howard a k a man.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: And like Jay said, if you're having that conversation with somebody,
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: just walk away from because it's an ignorant conversation. Got
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: enough things to do, all right, Jay, thank you? Coming up,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: it's our last break of the day. Crazy man, Jay,
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: there's another day that used to work with Trump coming in. Okay,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: makes the room all right. And of course the one
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey will have some closing remarks coming
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: up at forty nine minutes after the hour. Right after this.
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: You're listening to Steven Show. All right, here we are,
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: last break of the day and of the week. Whoa
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: what a week? In a week? Yes, it has thank
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: you Lord, we made through another one. Yeah, yeah it was.
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: It was classic respect of the office. You felt real
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: leadership going on. Um gave us killed it? Doesn't Obama
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: killed it? Yes he did, Yes, he did so. Proud
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: of Kamala. Harry thought he was gonna cry. Did anybody
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: else think he was gonna Yeah? I did too, Jay,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: I did. He got the most impeccable timing, Jay, Amy, Yeah, man, Yeah,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I think he really feels it. Man. I thought that Biden.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: You are you talking about Biden? Obama? You know, I
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: really thought that Joe Biden delivered a great speech. I
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: think he touched off a lot of stuff that I
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: needed to hear. He has a plan, but also he
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: showed the stark difference between him and Trump. That's all
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: this is about. It's about do we want a stark
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: difference from what we've had the past four years. The answer,
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: if you are a level headed, honest thinking person is yes,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: You've got to want something different. This guy cannot be
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: the guy you would want your children to be like.
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: This guy cannot be the guy that you want your
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: family to look up to do and say that's our president.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry, man, now listen to me. I know there
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: are people that's going yes it is. He's the type
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: of man. Well, if he is, you're corrupt to Sorry,
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: you can't applaud and approve of his behavior when you
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: know it has been corrupt, when you know he lies repeatedly,
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: when you know he's immature, when you know he sends
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: the wrong message out constantly, when you know he's divisive.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: They're fine people on both sides. You can't be in
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: a hate group and be a fine person. Sorry, I
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: don't care what you're trying to accomplish. The part that's
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: sickening me is that he does have an unmovable following.
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: The ones that's gonna follow Trump is gonna follow him
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: off the edge. That's sad. That's really really sad. That's
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: about ah thirty five million people. The other millions that
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: vote for him are voting for him simply because it's
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: the party they're in. But it's about thirty million of
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: them to think he's just the greatest thing since slice bread,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: and he's not. He's really really awful for this country. Listen,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, Morning Show, Shirley Carlin, Junior, Jay, Tommy. We
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: are all asking you to do your part, and that
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: is to vote. Listen to me, Black people, stop thinking
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: that your vote doesn't matter, because your vote is everything.
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: If we go to the polls and vote, we determine
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: who sits in the White House. If you don't go
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: to the polls and vote, you will determine who sits
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: in the White House. Now, you can make the decision
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: by voting, or you can allow a decision to be
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: made by you, by made for you by not voting.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: And I'm telling you right now, if you are working
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: class person you ain't gonna be able to do for
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: more years like this. He doesn't have a plan to
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: help this country get back on his feet in terms
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: of health with the COVID. He has a plan for
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: reopening and you saw what's happening here. He demands that
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: schools are reopen or they won't get funded. Have you
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: been have you been listening of the number of COVID
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: cases with our children now? And see it's easy for
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: him to say, you send your kids to school, or
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna defend fund your school. His children don't have
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: to go to these schools. I don't know how old
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: his son is the youngest one, but I'm pretty sure
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: he doesn't have to go to the school let your
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: children go to I'm about pretty sure that you know
- 1:24:58Speaker 1: his ready compadres to people on Fox who turned a
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: blind eye to all of the wrong that he does.
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: Only points out things on the Democratic side. Won't show
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: you one lie he's told, won't show you one falsehood,
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: one bad piece of information. They won't show you anything
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: except to make you think this guy is right for
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: this country. And how can you say that? Listen, we
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: got to get out to vote. Now, let me take
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: a second to talk directly to black people as only
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I will talk to you this just like this. We
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: got to stop, man, We got to stop being complacent
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: and sitting around and acting like what our forefathers went
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: through it. All these lunch counters on the backs of
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: these buses and all this here was for no reason
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: at all. It was so you could have the right
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: to vote. It ain't right for us not to exercise
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: that right. We got to turn out to vote, y'all.
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: This is our responsibility. This is our country. We built
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: this country. When I say this is our country, I'm
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: meaning it's ours, just like as anybody else's. We built America.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: We made a miracle what it is. If it wasn't
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: for our labor force, this country could have never accomplished
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: what they accomplished. We built this country. We should have
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: a say so it who runs the country. Vote four
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: one one dot org, Go and register. I want everybody
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: to malely and vote. Get your ballots down to the
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: post office. Don't let him trick us. We're gonna vote.
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: He's not going to be president after November. Third period.
