- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm doing so good.
- 1:16Speaker 1: How are you where we located at Paris? Where you're
- 1:19Speaker 1: living these days?
- 1:20Speaker 2: I actually live in Douglasville, Georgia. I'm from San Diego,
- 1:23Speaker 2: but I moved to Georgia last year, so I'm here
- 1:26Speaker 2: now San Diego.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Good food over in San Diego. And now I've been there,
- 1:30Speaker 1: I know, I know I'm gonna hit that good food button. Boy,
- 1:34Speaker 1: tell you San Diego. You want to eat, you go
- 1:37Speaker 1: to San Diego. They got some They got some restaurants
- 1:39Speaker 1: waiting on especially seafood.
- 1:42Speaker 2: Yes see, I will say I'm allergic to shellfish, so
- 1:45Speaker 2: I don't really dabble on the seafood world. But you know,
- 1:48Speaker 2: they do have some great options, some great food they do.
- 1:51Speaker 1: So if anybody's traveling, you know, the West Coast and
- 1:55Speaker 1: you hear San Diego, go down there and try out
- 1:58Speaker 1: those great restaurants you got down. So what brought you
- 2:01Speaker 1: down to Georgia? Was it family? Was a job? Was
- 2:03Speaker 1: it education? Tell me Paris?
- 2:06Speaker 2: No, So it brought me to Georgia. My fiance is
- 2:09Speaker 2: originally from Augusta, and I met my fiance in La
- 2:12Speaker 2: when we were both doing the entertainment thing and you know,
- 2:15Speaker 2: his family's out here. His parents are a little older,
- 2:18Speaker 2: So we wanted to come out here, settle out here,
- 2:21Speaker 2: so if they ever need us, they ever needed him,
- 2:23Speaker 2: we could be closer to just be there for them
- 2:25Speaker 2: of any assistance that they might need.
- 2:27Speaker 1: Good. So let's talk about the entertainment thing, you know,
- 2:30Speaker 1: the entertainment thing, you know, like, yeah, you know, so
- 2:34Speaker 1: obviously like myself, you know, I dabbled into entertainment stand
- 2:38Speaker 1: up comedian, thought I'd be the next Eddie Burphy, Bill,
- 2:42Speaker 1: you know, Richard Pryor and you know, but in the end,
- 2:45Speaker 1: I realized that my true calling was you know, producing,
- 2:49Speaker 1: you know, being able to see talent and brand products
- 2:53Speaker 1: or talents and build those ideas and create change. And
- 2:57Speaker 1: so that was that was my shift. What was your
- 3:00Speaker 1: entertainment town that drew you to Los Angeles?
- 3:04Speaker 2: Well, so I grew up as a competition kid. I
- 3:07Speaker 2: had been dancing my whole life, and it just seemed
- 3:09Speaker 2: like a natural progression to get into the dancing professionally.
- 3:14Speaker 2: And it's something that I love to do, something that
- 3:16Speaker 2: I always knew. So originally, when I turned nineteen, I
- 3:21Speaker 2: went out to LA I got an agency and within
- 3:24Speaker 2: two months of signing with that agency, I was touring
- 3:26Speaker 2: the world with an artist, dancing worldwide, you know, backup
- 3:30Speaker 2: dancing and everything like that, which was such a blessing.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I was in college at the time, but it was
- 3:35Speaker 2: like a once in a lifetime chance. I'm like, you
- 3:36Speaker 2: know what, I'm just gonna put that on a whole
- 3:38Speaker 2: lidlen drop out and do my thing and see where
- 3:40Speaker 2: this could go. And from the tour when I got back,
- 3:45Speaker 2: I started doing TV shows and commercials, and then from
- 3:48Speaker 2: there I got into acting naturally, from commercial from a
- 3:52Speaker 2: commercial world, from dancing and started taking acting classes. Loved it,
- 3:55Speaker 2: and then from the acting classes, I started doing some
- 3:58Speaker 2: shows Can there how to co star? A couple of
- 4:01Speaker 2: co stars, and then you know, just just started doing
- 4:04Speaker 2: the whole thing, you know, the commercial acting and then
- 4:07Speaker 2: doing the didn't quite make it in the movies that
- 4:10Speaker 2: I was so close, you know, a mail on a
- 4:13Speaker 2: veil for all these different things, which is amazing. I
- 4:17Speaker 2: love entertainment, but similar to you, I I just for me.
- 4:22Speaker 2: I just felt like I needed to do something more.
- 4:25Speaker 2: I had always my whole life just well, let's.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Let's talk about it. Let's talk about that little transition
- 4:29Speaker 1: because of the fact that you know, you know, there
- 4:33Speaker 1: was success for you in entertainment, yes, but there was
- 4:36Speaker 1: also a lot of frustration. Okay, you know, and I
- 4:39Speaker 1: know because that was in my line. Because anytime you
- 4:42Speaker 1: can walk in the room and you see you go
- 4:44Speaker 1: in for an audition, I'm just tell everybody how it works.
- 4:47Speaker 1: You know, you go in and they tell you come
- 4:49Speaker 1: into audition walking room. It's fifty people and now I'm
- 4:51Speaker 1: looking like you right, so right there, you don't know
- 4:54Speaker 1: what they want. And that's the part that frustrated me. See,
- 4:58Speaker 1: I'd like to know that I got a shot at something.
- 5:03Speaker 1: But then I had some friends who worked all the time,
- 5:06Speaker 1: but I wasn't working. You know, I was working as
- 5:08Speaker 1: a stand up but I wasn't working as a commercial
- 5:12Speaker 1: actor or theatrical actor. Theatrical actors sitcoms and movies and
- 5:16Speaker 1: all that stuff in theater. And so that's the part
- 5:19Speaker 1: that I went, I cannot allow industry to dictate me
- 5:25Speaker 1: based on how they feel or how I look. That's
- 5:28Speaker 1: the part that frustrated.
- 5:29Speaker 2: Me, right, yes, yes.
- 5:31Speaker 1: What were your thoughts on that? When you hear me
- 5:33Speaker 1: talk like.
- 5:34Speaker 2: That, Paris, Oh my gosh, I mean, it's like looking
- 5:37Speaker 2: in the mirrors. That's how I felt, you know. And
- 5:41Speaker 2: I will say I loved the process of auditioning when
- 5:44Speaker 2: I was doing it consistently. I loved going into those rooms,
- 5:47Speaker 2: even though I was nervous, so nervous, There's just something
- 5:50Speaker 2: about it that just this adrenaline rush that just it
- 5:52Speaker 2: felt good. And I love people, so going into these
- 5:55Speaker 2: scenarios where I'm meeting different casting directors and whatnot, I
- 5:58Speaker 2: loved making those connections. And I always had a great
- 6:01Speaker 2: time in the room and always had pretty much. I
- 6:04Speaker 2: can't there's been those auditions where I just bomb completely
- 6:07Speaker 2: and just lost all of the lines that I had.
- 6:09Speaker 2: But pretty much all of the auditions that I did,
- 6:13Speaker 2: I felt good connections with the casting directors and you know,
- 6:16Speaker 2: I was given those directions. So I will say that
- 6:19Speaker 2: I have had very positive experiences with auditioning. However, the
- 6:25Speaker 2: things like you I just I would get so close
- 6:30Speaker 2: to these auditions, being on a veil for months and
- 6:32Speaker 2: just knowing that this is my big break, I'm gonna
- 6:35Speaker 2: do it. I'm gonna be a movie star. They end
- 6:38Speaker 2: up going with like a name or celebrity or someone
- 6:41Speaker 2: that has more followers than you just things like that,
- 6:43Speaker 2: and it just really started to kind of it starts
- 6:46Speaker 2: to kind of wear on you a little bit, you know,
- 6:49Speaker 2: and it starts to dim your life a little bit.
- 6:50Speaker 2: And me, I find so much security, like just in
- 6:54Speaker 2: knowing and I know that we're not always in control
- 6:57Speaker 2: of our lives and everything like that. But for the
- 6:59Speaker 2: things that I can't, I want to be able to
- 7:01Speaker 2: control and knowing that it's up to me whether rather
- 7:05Speaker 2: than it being up to this task director. That's just like,
- 7:07Speaker 2: you know what, your eyes aren't brown enough, So let
- 7:09Speaker 2: me go with this other person something just whatever it is.
- 7:13Speaker 1: Oh my god, you bring it back horror stories, Paris
- 7:16Speaker 1: stopp Oh my good you're too tall, you're too dark.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You know, we want a ball head dude.
- 7:23Speaker 2: Could you?
- 7:24Speaker 1: Oh my god? Can you dance? Can you sing?
- 7:26Speaker 3: No?
- 7:26Speaker 1: I can't sing. Can you play an instrument?
- 7:28Speaker 3: No?
- 7:28Speaker 1: I can't play instrument. Oh can you? Can you do voices?
- 7:31Speaker 3: No?
- 7:32Speaker 1: I can't do voices. Okay, next, Oh my goodness, it
- 7:36Speaker 1: can only be me and gainst what me wasn't getting
- 7:39Speaker 1: booked Paris, And so I went, okay. I became a
- 7:41Speaker 1: fair successful writer in Hollywood. You started to produce television shows.
- 7:46Speaker 1: And manage talent. And so now I'm on our show
- 7:49Speaker 1: called Money Making Conversations Masterclass. So Paris, you have a
- 7:52Speaker 1: brand called full Bloom. It's full Bloom if you l
- 7:56Speaker 1: L Bloom, tell us about that.
- 7:59Speaker 2: Well, so what happened Just it's interesting how it kind
- 8:03Speaker 2: of played out. But I started Full Bloom about three
- 8:06Speaker 2: years ago now. But what how I started it? When
- 8:09Speaker 2: the pandemic happened, I was working with a casting director
- 8:13Speaker 2: and I was actually working on a show and it
- 8:15Speaker 2: was amazing because I was actually one of the leads
- 8:18Speaker 2: on that show. But then they just never ended up
- 8:20Speaker 2: coming out because of just I don't know, the producer
- 8:25Speaker 2: pulled out or something like that. So anyways, when the
- 8:27Speaker 2: pandemic happened, the casting director that had booked me for
- 8:31Speaker 2: that show reached out to me and said that there
- 8:33Speaker 2: was an opportunity. And you know, this platform was trying
- 8:36Speaker 2: to diversify, so they were onboarding creators and I was
- 8:39Speaker 2: initially onboarded to this platform to you know, just kind
- 8:43Speaker 2: of share my story with other people, just to provide
- 8:45Speaker 2: inspiration and motivation for whoever. And so I got on
- 8:49Speaker 2: this platform, I started posting videos mother gay. Well you
- 8:52Speaker 2: know there's nothing else to do. We're in the pandemic.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Everyone's just home doing nothing, So let me just do this.
- 8:57Speaker 2: And I was posting affirmation journal proms for people to
- 9:02Speaker 2: use a resource because we just had so much time
- 9:05Speaker 2: in that moment to sit with ourselves.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So because you're a fast talker, parents, I know you've
- 9:10Speaker 1: been told weberfore you can talk fast.
- 9:13Speaker 2: My mom's New York.
- 9:14Speaker 1: Okay, we do, you said, San Diego. So I'm trying
- 9:16Speaker 1: to work with that. San Diego speed. Okay, okay, cool
- 9:20Speaker 1: now California speed now you Now you started, this was
- 9:24Speaker 1: a platform, and it was a motivational platform soon because
- 9:28Speaker 1: you talk about affirmations and videos and.
- 9:31Speaker 2: And uh it was not necessarily so the platform was TikTok.
- 9:36Speaker 2: So they had the time so known as Yeah, they
- 9:39Speaker 2: were known as like the dance platform, you know, like
- 9:41Speaker 2: everyone's just on their dancing. But they were looking to
- 9:44Speaker 2: diversify their content because they wanted to be and now
- 9:47Speaker 2: they are more than just a dance platform. People go
- 9:50Speaker 2: there for a number of things.
- 9:52Speaker 1: So so it's a dance platform that they brought you on.
- 9:55Speaker 1: They want to diversify the content.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Yes, so they did not I won't say that they
- 10:02Speaker 2: were strictly a dance platform, but that's what they were
- 10:04Speaker 2: known for, okay, okay hmm, So they just wanted to
- 10:09Speaker 2: just bring more to the platforms. So it just had
- 10:12Speaker 2: just different niches and genres, if you will. And so
- 10:16Speaker 2: I was on board, as you know, motivation, and I
- 10:20Speaker 2: started posting videos and I started with affirmations and then
- 10:24Speaker 2: general prompts with people, Like I said, could just have
- 10:27Speaker 2: something to do with all the time that we had
- 10:29Speaker 2: on our hands during that time in the pandemic. And
- 10:31Speaker 2: I didn't realize how many people actually needed that. Because
- 10:36Speaker 2: self development, general prompt, self discovery, that's something that I've
- 10:39Speaker 2: always been just within my own journey. I've always done
- 10:43Speaker 2: because it was just so necessary something an outlet for
- 10:45Speaker 2: me in the intercim industry to always come back to
- 10:48Speaker 2: self because you can get so lost in all these
- 10:50Speaker 2: you know, the judgment, all those things. So anyways, it
- 10:55Speaker 2: resonated with a lot of people when I started posting
- 10:57Speaker 2: on TikTok, and I grew my following from zero. I'm
- 11:01Speaker 2: now around two hundred thousand followers on TikTok. But it
- 11:05Speaker 2: just became something that people just I guess that resonated
- 11:09Speaker 2: with them and something that they looked forward to. And
- 11:12Speaker 2: so I built my following or my community based upon
- 11:17Speaker 2: you know, self help and wellness and you know, like
- 11:22Speaker 2: I said, inspiration motivation. And so with that being said,
- 11:26Speaker 2: my journal prompts and affirmations, it just always played over
- 11:30Speaker 2: so well with people, and I had people reaching out
- 11:32Speaker 2: to me saying like this is amazing and you don't
- 11:35Speaker 2: understand how much you have helped me within my own journey.
- 11:38Speaker 2: And I just want to say if let's say, if
- 11:41Speaker 2: you if you sold these prompts, I would totally buy it.
- 11:43Speaker 2: And my mind, I never thought about, you know, creating
- 11:48Speaker 2: a resource for anyone to just to buy. And I'm like,
- 11:50Speaker 2: you know what, that's actually a great idea and maybe
- 11:52Speaker 2: I can put something together and you know, we'll see
- 11:55Speaker 2: what happened. So I started full Bloom on my company
- 11:59Speaker 2: so I could just have a name and have a business.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What why full bloom? Why full bloom? Why is that
- 12:04Speaker 1: the name of your company?
- 12:06Speaker 2: Full Bloom? I love plants, and I just feel as
- 12:10Speaker 2: though we are just journeys, journey wise and just just
- 12:13Speaker 2: life wise. It's just so similar to plants, you know,
- 12:16Speaker 2: in a way, because plants are just you know, you
- 12:18Speaker 2: have to put it in the right environment. You have
- 12:20Speaker 2: to give it the right nutrients, you have to give
- 12:22Speaker 2: it the right you know, just you know, the water,
- 12:25Speaker 2: just just take care of it in a way to
- 12:26Speaker 2: where if it's not in the right environment, it's not
- 12:28Speaker 2: gonna thrive.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Right.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And so within people, ourselves, our lives, if we're not
- 12:33Speaker 2: in the right environment, the right headspace around the right people,
- 12:36Speaker 2: we're not gonna thrive. And so if we're in the
- 12:38Speaker 2: right environment and nurturing ourselves in a way that's just
- 12:41Speaker 2: empowering us, uplifting us and just giving us, like putting
- 12:45Speaker 2: good and positivity into us, we're gonna thrive and we're
- 12:48Speaker 2: gonna bloom, which is like the most beautiful versions of ourselves.
- 12:51Speaker 2: And so I just thought full Bloom was perfect because
- 12:53Speaker 2: it just it just encapsulates all this stuff everything, you
- 12:57Speaker 2: know that it's just that I believe and I know
- 13:01Speaker 2: to be true. So full Blooms And yeah, it's name,
- 13:06Speaker 2: that's the name. But I created a resource, a diat
- 13:09Speaker 2: journal called back to Me, the Journey Back to your Self,
- 13:12Speaker 2: and it's just over three hundred and sixty five prompts
- 13:15Speaker 2: for over a year, and it's just a prompt day
- 13:18Speaker 2: that people can use. And then you also have a
- 13:20Speaker 2: space for affirmation, so you can write a positive affirmation.
- 13:23Speaker 2: But things like that to just really nurture your relationship
- 13:26Speaker 2: with self and go on that self discovery journey, find
- 13:29Speaker 2: that self love, taking care of yourself or self care,
- 13:32Speaker 2: all those things. And I created that DIA journal about
- 13:36Speaker 2: three years ago, and you know, it has just it
- 13:39Speaker 2: it's history now, like it's like the rest is history
- 13:42Speaker 2: is I'm trying.
- 13:42Speaker 1: So you're saying that that has become a money maker,
- 13:45Speaker 1: that's what you're saying, parents.
- 13:47Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't like to think of it like.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Money making. Conversation mash Okay, you know you you were
- 13:57Speaker 1: at that dancing you know, and you know covid hit
- 14:01Speaker 1: and now you have two hundred and five thousand followers
- 14:05Speaker 1: on TikTok you have three point five million likes. And
- 14:09Speaker 1: that's important to understand that because that's called engagement. Now. Now,
- 14:14Speaker 1: the inspiration behind this when you look at social media,
- 14:17Speaker 1: two things are very popular on social media. Food and inspiration. Okay,
- 14:23Speaker 1: I know because I'm involved in both of them. Food
- 14:26Speaker 1: people want to know how to cook stuff, and they
- 14:29Speaker 1: want to know to be inspired and motivated and uplift.
- 14:32Speaker 1: What do you think you're We're going to go to
- 14:35Speaker 1: break Paris when I come back, I want to get
- 14:37Speaker 1: in more details about you as an individual, the inspiration
- 14:41Speaker 1: and the patterns. And this is about money making conversations
- 14:45Speaker 1: because so many people are out there doing this and
- 14:48Speaker 1: people have told me about setting up subscriptions and books
- 14:51Speaker 1: and I'm gonna tell you I don't know and here
- 14:54Speaker 1: and you say, Richard, I didn't know either, but guess
- 14:57Speaker 1: what I'm doing it and you should slow down and
- 15:01Speaker 1: do it yourself. We'll be right back for more money
- 15:03Speaker 1: Making Conversation. I am talking to the creator of Full Bloom,
- 15:07Speaker 1: Parish Fletcher, and I'm the host of Rashawn McDonald.
- 15:18Speaker 3: We'll be right back with more money Making Conversations Masterclass
- 15:21Speaker 3: with Rushawn McDonald. Welcome back to the Money Making Conversations
- 15:31Speaker 3: Masterclass hosted by Rashaan McDonald. Money Making Conversations Masterclass continues
- 15:36Speaker 3: online at Moneymakingconversations dot com and follow money Making Conversations
- 15:41Speaker 3: Masterclass on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
- 15:45Speaker 1: I'm speaking to Parish Fletcher. She found a full Bloom
- 15:48Speaker 1: to remind others that having a clear sense of selfish
- 15:51Speaker 1: imperative when facing adversity, rejection and negativity that happens a
- 15:56Speaker 1: lot in our world. How have you say bottled it?
- 16:01Speaker 1: But how you using that and twisting it and making
- 16:04Speaker 1: it positive for people who need to hear what you
- 16:06Speaker 1: have to say? Paris.
- 16:10Speaker 2: You know, I just me, I just stare, my honest
- 16:16Speaker 2: truth of my journey and what I've been through. And
- 16:19Speaker 2: you know, that's that's where what I started with with
- 16:22Speaker 2: my social media, like my TikTok and everything like that.
- 16:26Speaker 2: I've just always been so honest with what I had
- 16:28Speaker 2: gone through. And we talked about the entertainment industry, but
- 16:31Speaker 2: just all the things that I had to deal with,
- 16:32Speaker 2: and I won't say like just the rejection that happens,
- 16:37Speaker 2: and that's just the natural, you know, circumstances that you
- 16:40Speaker 2: go through within the industry. Like I said, it just
- 16:42Speaker 2: starts to wear on you a little bit. And sometimes
- 16:45Speaker 2: when I was going through and I just really started
- 16:47Speaker 2: to question my my talents, my skills, myself, like man,
- 16:52Speaker 2: am I not talented enough? Am I not pretty enough?
- 16:54Speaker 2: But then what I found for myself just always like
- 16:57Speaker 2: I said, journaling, just you know, knowing my strengths, knowing
- 17:00Speaker 2: my weaknesses, and owning that and just loving every aspect
- 17:04Speaker 2: of myself and just really being able to have a
- 17:07Speaker 2: clear sense of self with what has kept me so
- 17:11Speaker 2: mentally strong and motivated to just, you know, regardless of
- 17:16Speaker 2: what I pursue, it's just a matter of what I'm
- 17:18Speaker 2: putting into it and how I view myself. And I've
- 17:21Speaker 2: just brought that to my platform and just it resonated
- 17:24Speaker 2: with people. And I think when we're talking about inspiration,
- 17:26Speaker 2: people are looking for inspiration. I think the biggest thing
- 17:29Speaker 2: is people are looking for real people that they can
- 17:33Speaker 2: see and say, Okay, I can do that too. And
- 17:35Speaker 2: so with social media, you know, there's always a facade.
- 17:39Speaker 2: People will post all of their their their wins and
- 17:42Speaker 2: sever their losses, and it's just it comes off so
- 17:45Speaker 2: dis genuine. And when you're finding people that are able
- 17:50Speaker 2: to post all aspects themselves. And I'm not saying you
- 17:53Speaker 2: have to post your whole life and put your whole
- 17:54Speaker 2: life out there, because I don't even do that because
- 17:56Speaker 2: it's just it's my life and I there still needs
- 17:58Speaker 2: to be some bound with and that. But I give
- 18:02Speaker 2: people just my losses as well, you know, because I'm
- 18:05Speaker 2: human just like everyone else, and so when people are
- 18:08Speaker 2: able to see that and be like, Okay, but how
- 18:10Speaker 2: did she bounce back? And she was able to bounce back?
- 18:12Speaker 2: So that inspires others to do that too, and so
- 18:14Speaker 2: you know, that's that's how I kind of pivot and
- 18:17Speaker 2: use my stories to inspire others now.
- 18:20Speaker 1: And now part of that is journally, you know, these journals.
- 18:25Speaker 1: How did that become the thought proces? Because was it
- 18:28Speaker 1: something you was doing personally and now you're sharing the
- 18:31Speaker 1: philosophy with your followers and anybody who who? Other people
- 18:36Speaker 1: recommend to buy your Booth journals because both it's hard
- 18:40Speaker 1: back and it's also digital.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Correct yes yes, yes, yes, yes yes. So that, like
- 18:47Speaker 2: I said, that's just something that I just have used
- 18:49Speaker 2: throughout my whole life and that has always helped me
- 18:52Speaker 2: within you know, sometimes within my own mind, there's just
- 18:55Speaker 2: so much going on, and journaling has always been a
- 18:57Speaker 2: tool to just kind of let it out, you know,
- 18:59Speaker 2: letting my thoughts out, and really with the guide in
- 19:03Speaker 2: journal that I have a lot of us we have,
- 19:05Speaker 2: you know, these thoughts, so sometimes we don't we have
- 19:07Speaker 2: these questions that we don't even know to ask ourselves
- 19:10Speaker 2: and what we know, what we want to even try
- 19:11Speaker 2: to figure out within ourselves. And so this guided journal
- 19:14Speaker 2: is a really great tool because it gives you a
- 19:16Speaker 2: prompt a day questions that you probably wouldn't even think
- 19:19Speaker 2: to ask yourself, like I said, and it's just there,
- 19:22Speaker 2: and you know, it allows people to have a deeper
- 19:25Speaker 2: level of reflection and allows them to just look at
- 19:28Speaker 2: so many different aspects of their life, within themselves, within
- 19:31Speaker 2: their friend groups, within you know, whatever it is, their
- 19:34Speaker 2: own career, like are you happy, Like is this something
- 19:36Speaker 2: that maybe that you truly wanted to pursue or is
- 19:39Speaker 2: it something that you kind of felt not forced into,
- 19:42Speaker 2: but just kind of guided into, if you will. Like
- 19:44Speaker 2: for me, I know, you know, my parents wanted me
- 19:48Speaker 2: to be like a doctor, and that wasn't something that
- 19:50Speaker 2: was that I was truly interested in. You know, Entertainment
- 19:53Speaker 2: was always there because it's what I knew and what
- 19:55Speaker 2: I love. And so it just allows people to just
- 19:58Speaker 2: kind of think of their life from some of different
- 20:01Speaker 2: angles and it's just it's a helpful tool, and it
- 20:05Speaker 2: continues to be a helpful tool. And that's why I
- 20:06Speaker 2: continues to just the journal itself is just so successful.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Right, you know, when I think about it, I'm joining
- 20:13Speaker 1: this protege program and for my company, and I realized
- 20:17Speaker 1: that I'm not a person who writes things down, and
- 20:21Speaker 1: they forced me to, you know, basically journals thing every month.
- 20:25Speaker 1: They ask me what I'm doing, what I'm doing, what
- 20:27Speaker 1: I'm doing it. Then I have to tell them what
- 20:30Speaker 1: I'm doing. And what I've discovered is that I'm better
- 20:33Speaker 1: for it. And so because it forces me to think
- 20:38Speaker 1: about the process, think about the experience of what I'm
- 20:42Speaker 1: going through. And then it also I believe enhances my
- 20:45Speaker 1: communication with my employees. So what you're talking about really
- 20:50Speaker 1: I'm doing, but I'm doing it from a corporate standpoint,
- 20:54Speaker 1: but it's enhancing my overall relationships with the people that
- 20:58Speaker 1: I communicate on a daily basics, which my employees as
- 21:01Speaker 1: well as my clients. And so those affirmations and those
- 21:06Speaker 1: motivation tools that you have really can be applied as
- 21:10Speaker 1: to in an entrepreneurial space.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Correct, absolutely absolu.
- 21:17Speaker 1: Now with that being said, entrepreneurs, you you are an entrepreneur.
- 21:24Speaker 1: You started a business. Did you have a budget, did
- 21:28Speaker 1: you have an idea of what type of revenue you
- 21:31Speaker 1: is going to generate? Or you just you know, jumped
- 21:34Speaker 1: out there on faith.
- 21:36Speaker 2: I wined it the entire way. I continue to win it.
- 21:41Speaker 1: You know, come on Fars, you're my motivating queen.
- 21:47Speaker 2: You know, I just I just said, it's just what
- 21:50Speaker 2: I'm being honest. You know. When I started the business,
- 21:53Speaker 2: I had the vision for it, but with being new
- 21:57Speaker 2: to business completely, it's just you know, when you try
- 21:59Speaker 2: to go to banks with just you have a vision,
- 22:03Speaker 2: but I not necessarily not having the financial just I
- 22:07Speaker 2: guess record if you will to just show like, Okay,
- 22:11Speaker 2: I'm looking for a loan for this much I entertain that.
- 22:14Speaker 2: I went to my bank that I've been banking with
- 22:16Speaker 2: for years, and immediately they're like, you know, you have
- 22:19Speaker 2: to show this much income revenue within your business within
- 22:22Speaker 2: the first year and we can give you that. I'mount
- 22:24Speaker 2: and it just wasn't usible, and so I used my
- 22:28Speaker 2: own funds what I was comfortable was putting into the business.
- 22:33Speaker 2: And I was just like, you know what, this is
- 22:36Speaker 2: something that I truly believe in. And if I believe
- 22:38Speaker 2: in it, like I said before, like it's just you
- 22:40Speaker 2: have to be confident within yourself and within whatever it
- 22:43Speaker 2: is that you're doing and know that it's a good
- 22:45Speaker 2: quality product and I can't stress quality enough because I
- 22:50Speaker 2: paid more than certain people would, you know, for their
- 22:54Speaker 2: first product initially, But I am such a firm believer
- 22:56Speaker 2: in you if you can speak behind your quality then
- 23:00Speaker 2: and people will appreciate it. So anyways, I put my
- 23:03Speaker 2: money into the business not really knowing what was going
- 23:07Speaker 2: to happen. But I knew I had two things. I
- 23:09Speaker 2: knew I had a really good product, and then I
- 23:12Speaker 2: knew I had a really good community and that it
- 23:14Speaker 2: was a resource that people were looking for. And so
- 23:17Speaker 2: I was going to leverage my community, not just my community,
- 23:20Speaker 2: but just my my platform that I had, and just
- 23:23Speaker 2: use that to market my product. And so you know,
- 23:26Speaker 2: within a few months of me just putting it out there,
- 23:29Speaker 2: I sold out and I'm like, Okay, let me just
- 23:32Speaker 2: make sure that wasn't a fluke product. And you know,
- 23:36Speaker 2: I tried it again and it happened again. I'm like, Okay,
- 23:39Speaker 2: this is something. We have something here, and so I
- 23:42Speaker 2: just continue with the money that I make from the product.
- 23:46Speaker 2: I just just try to double up every time with
- 23:48Speaker 2: how much inventory I'm able to get and which it it. Initially,
- 23:53Speaker 2: I was bummed out because I wasn't being able to
- 23:57Speaker 2: get a loan from a bank. But I think in
- 23:59Speaker 2: the line grown for me from my vision for my business,
- 24:03Speaker 2: it was beneficial because it's all within like my hands,
- 24:07Speaker 2: like I would put this into this the product in
- 24:10Speaker 2: my business, and so I'm not having to deal with
- 24:12Speaker 2: these crazy interest rates and just what I'm making from
- 24:16Speaker 2: the product initially, I just you know, put it back
- 24:19Speaker 2: into my business. And like I said, I keep trying
- 24:21Speaker 2: to double up my inventory to just get continue to
- 24:25Speaker 2: make more revenue. So like I said, I I wind
- 24:28Speaker 2: it and I did the best that I could. I
- 24:30Speaker 2: reached out to people when I had questions and gained
- 24:32Speaker 2: as much knowledge as I could and just use that
- 24:35Speaker 2: and it's been working extremely well. And yeah, so you know,
- 24:39Speaker 2: sometimes I think a lot of us think we need
- 24:41Speaker 2: to have the full package before we actually, you know,
- 24:43Speaker 2: pursue something. But I am just you know, I am
- 24:47Speaker 2: the proof that sometimes all you have to do is
- 24:50Speaker 2: just just start. And I am such a believer if
- 24:53Speaker 2: you take the steps and you're working hard and trying
- 24:56Speaker 2: to get as much knowledge as you can, that the
- 24:58Speaker 2: resources and the people and what you need will find
- 25:00Speaker 2: you along the way and it's gonna work out. And
- 25:03Speaker 2: you know that's my story and I'm sticking to it.
