- 0:00So the interesting thing about the red pill is that they assess
- 0:03the right problems but prescribe the worst solution.
- 0:06So they'll assess, hey, you know, men are hurting, Men are
- 0:08the most likely to die on the job, most likely to commit
- 0:11suicide, most likely to be depressed, most likely, blah
- 0:13blah blah blah. Intrinsically, people know some
- 0:16of it is true. You could just look around
- 0:18society. But then the application of how
- 0:20to navigate it is the complete opposite, because you're really
- 0:22just adding to the problem. Alright, Ruslan, thanks for
- 0:29coming on the. Thank you for having me.
- 0:31Yeah, I'm a fan. I'm a fan of yours too.
- 0:33I just discovered you and I was like, I like this guys.
- 0:36Content. I've been following you for
- 0:38probably a little over a year, year and a half maybe.
- 0:40So when you reached out, I was like, what?
- 0:42Nice, let's do it. Nice.
- 0:43And then I gotta zoom down to your yes studio and you have a
- 0:47fancier studio than mine. I'm gonna try not to ask you
- 0:50questions and this and this conversation because I'm usually
- 0:53the one asking a question. Well, it's a conversation, so
- 0:57we'll say what you want to say. But first, for folks listening
- 1:00who haven't heard of you yet or just know a little bit, tell me.
- 1:03Tell me about yourself. Introduce yourself.
- 1:04Yeah, I'm Ruslan. I'm a follower of Jesus.
- 1:08Husband, father, YouTube rapper, entrepreneur.
- 1:12I'm originally from a country called Azerbaijan Baku, which is
- 1:15in the Middle East. It's just north of Iran.
- 1:18I'm ethnically Armenian. My mother is adopted, but I
- 1:21think she's Russian or, or, or, yeah, we think she's Russian.
- 1:27We don't know exactly what she is.
- 1:28She could be Ukrainian. And we are Armenians who are
- 1:32living in Azerbaijan, which is a Muslim state.
- 1:35And so Armenia is this little small Christian nation in
- 1:37between Turkey and Azerbaijan. And they have a phrase called
- 1:40two nations, 112 states, one nation.
- 1:43And if people have ever heard of the Armenian genocide, there's
- 1:47been tension in that part of the region for a while.
- 1:49And this culminated to the Pilgrims of Baku.
- 1:53I was born and raised in Baku and the Pilgrims of Baku
- 1:55basically causing a mass exodus of Armenians from Azerbaijan.
- 2:01And it's very geopolitical complicated history, but it
- 2:07basically there was persecutions of Armenians in Baku in the late
- 2:1280s. Me and my mom, because we're
- 2:14fair skinned, most Armenians look more Middle Eastern, we're
- 2:16fair skinned. So we stayed and in the 91 we
- 2:20came, we went to Moscow and then from Moscow we came to America
- 2:24as refugees. And I grew up in San Diego, very
- 2:28different San Diego in the early 90s.
- 2:29This is at the peak of gangster rap and the Chronic album and
- 2:33doggy style. And I got immersed in all of
- 2:36that, and I got into a lot of trouble because my dad and my
- 2:41mom split. So I got arrested at age 11 and.
- 2:44For what? So we thought we had a gang.
- 2:48Thought you had? A gang we we were the kids that
- 2:52were breaking into houses in the neighborhood at 1110 eleven
- 2:57years old there was. To do what?
- 3:00Steal stuff, steal people's stuff.
- 3:02And we broke into a house and there was like an ex police
- 3:06officer that lived in the same condominium and he saw us and I
- 3:09was the one in the window. And my friend was in some weird
- 3:12like UFC armbar and he's like get on the ground.
- 3:16And we had complied. And yeah, I got arrested, put on
- 3:20probation. Just a really bizarre
- 3:23upbringing. I was sexually assaulted as a
- 3:26kid by some other altar boys I was in.
- 3:30I was like altar boy when I was like 8.
- 3:32And that kind of set me down a pretty wild path, which led to
- 3:36the arrest and LED to all just kind of debauchery, smoking,
- 3:40drinking, everything. And at the around the same time,
- 3:44though, our manager, this lady named Cherie, was getting into a
- 3:49lot of trouble. She got caught for moving
- 3:51cocaine through like an airport and she was involved in that
- 3:54life. This is your manager of your 11
- 3:56year old gang? Oh no.
- 3:58Of the apartment. OK, yeah.
- 4:00And her son was like my best friend and she went to prison
- 4:04and got saved, like radically saved 180.
- 4:06And right when I got arrested, I had to do community service.
- 4:11I got the lightest because some of the kids were older and I got
- 4:13and I had to do like, I don't know, it's like 30 hours of
- 4:15community service. And so this is the same time
- 4:17she's saved. So she's like, hey, you know,
- 4:20sharing the gospel and the whole unit, complex unit gets saved.
- 4:24So it was predominantly a black area and I was like one of two
- 4:28Armenian families. So everyone gets saved except
- 4:30these two, like Armenian culturally Christian families.
- 4:34And they start sharing the gospel with me and then I have
- 4:37to do my community service and I just do it at their church.
- 4:39So I'm like this white kid doing this community service of this,
- 4:43like black Baptist Church around all these folks getting exposed
- 4:47to, you know, Fred Hammond and like, amazing black gospel music
- 4:51and, and this whole thing and that.
- 4:54Those were like the beginning of seeds planted.
- 4:57And then thankfully my mom saw the chaos, saw me getting in
- 5:00trouble. She's a single mom and she got a
- 5:03job in North County, which is actually not too far, probably
- 5:06about 30 minutes from where we are now in Oceanside.
- 5:08And we moved to Vista, which is just a city over.
- 5:11And that gave me like a fresh start.
- 5:12Like I was like, OK, I've I've, I've had sex, I've drank, I've
- 5:15smoked, I've done, I've done, I've got the rest.
- 5:17I've done it all. I'm going to be a professional
- 5:20athlete. I'm going to go to the NBA.
- 5:21This is. And how old are you at this
- 5:23point? I'm this is 8th grade.
- 5:25I thought my 8th grade yeah, my GPO, my GP was it GPAGPAGPA was
- 5:30like one point O in 7th grade and I go to 8th grade and I'm
- 5:33like, I don't know if they're going to let me in because I'm
- 5:36like they're going to get my transcripts and like I basically
- 5:38flunked 7th grade. It was bad.
- 5:40And the only reason that didn't violate my probation was because
- 5:43my lawyer made-up state funded public defense attorney said I
- 5:48had some stomach virus and like finessed this whole thing.
- 5:51And I ended up not getting violated for the probation.
- 5:53But I didn't think I was going to go in 8th grade.
- 5:55Somehow I got into eighth grade. I went to Roosevelt Middle
- 5:57School and just the change of environment, like going from
- 6:00like a very rough area to like Festa, which is was a bit more
- 6:05suburban. I ended up finishing eighth
- 6:07grade with like a 3.8 GPAI go from one point O to 3.8.
- 6:12And I'm like obsessed with basketball.
- 6:14This is Michael Jordan's last year with the Bulls.
- 6:18So this is this second retirement and I turned my I
- 6:22start like turning my life around.
- 6:24And it was really interesting that a year after that and I
- 6:27started going to church, I met this girl.
- 6:29It's always a girl who gets guys like me in church.
- 6:32And she was, hey, if you want to hang out with my family on
- 6:34Sunday, you got to go to church. And so I started going to church
- 6:37super skeptical because of the church trauma from when I was a
- 6:40kid. Me and her were promiscuous,
- 6:42sexually promiscuous, the whole bit.
- 6:44And I, we basically end up swapping places.
- 6:47Like I went from like this, like super skeptical guy who was
- 6:52like, you know, Jesus is cool, but like all religions lead to
- 6:56the way, you know, And then I and again, in God's Providence,
- 7:00I'm, I'm working at this Pizza Hut, my manager at the Pizza Hut
- 7:04and one of our lead delivery drivers are Christian.
- 7:07They give me this book called The New evidence that Demands A
- 7:10Verdict by Josh McDowell. So, so this is like a two year
- 7:12process. So now I'm in sophomore year, I
- 7:15get away from this girl. I'm dating a Jehovah's Witness
- 7:16girl and I'm reading the new evidence of demand, which is
- 7:19like a textbook. It is a gnarly book and I
- 7:22finally evolved from like God is there is no God to like God is
- 7:27real, but I don't know about Jesus to like, well, I guess
- 7:30Jesus is the son of God, but he's not God to like, whoa,
- 7:33Jesus is who he says he is. And this whole Bible thing is
- 7:36real. And so this is going into my
- 7:38sophomore year. And so me and the girl drifted,
- 7:41but we had an on and off relationship.
- 7:42We had a lot of like scares and close calls in terms of
- 7:46pregnancy and just all kinds of stuff.
- 7:49And we end up breaking up and the end of my junior year, I
- 7:52finally like surrender my life to Jesus.
- 7:55A year after my senior year, I meet my wife.
- 7:58She graduated high school. I was a year out of high school
- 8:00and we got married four years later.
- 8:02And I pursued music professionally for a while.
- 8:05And I did that in 2015 full time.
- 8:07And then it started YouTube like 2020 eighteens taking it
- 8:12seriously and then kind of went full time in 2020 when the
- 8:14pandemic happened. And that is it.
- 8:16Like a very condensed version, Yeah.
- 8:18You've lived like 9 lives. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:21And so all of it like, from I remember when I had a scare with
- 8:26this girl that got me going to church and hopefully she doesn't
- 8:28mind me sharing this. And I remember there being a, a
- 8:31guy in the neighborhood that was older and in his attempt to help
- 8:39me, he drove us to like the abortion clinic to see if she
- 8:43was pregnant. And it was like willing to give
- 8:45me the money to have my 15 year old girlfriend or 16 year old
- 8:50girlfriend have an abortion. Like this is how dark this
- 8:53childhood was, you know, and I didn't think nothing was wrong.
- 8:58I thought this was like empathy. I thought this was love.
- 9:00Like he's looking out for me, you know, And then like, in
- 9:02hindsight, I'm like, what are you doing hanging out with a,
- 9:05with a kid, with a teenager? I mean, I'm a freshman, maybe
- 9:08sophomore, freshman, sophomore in high school.
- 9:10And he's like, ride me around to the to Vista Community Clinic
- 9:13where you can get like free resources for condoms and, you
- 9:17know, tests if you're pregnant or you can get an abortion.
- 9:22And thankfully we weren't pregnant, but we had a couple of
- 9:24these, like, close calls that were horrifying.
- 9:28But what was interesting is when I got saved, no one ever sat me
- 9:31down and was like, hey, you know, like you having sex with
- 9:34your girlfriend's wrong. No one said that.
- 9:37I just knew. And then I also knew if I get
- 9:39her pregnant, like terminating that baby is not right.
- 9:42That's not OK. There was no like political
- 9:47pro-life, none of it. It was just I just, I just
- 9:50instantly knew that I can't keep being sexually immoral.
- 9:53And if I keep being sexually immoral and a child comes, I'm
- 9:57going to have to be ready and willing to deal with the
- 9:59responsibility of it. And by the grace of God, a child
- 10:01did not come because my life probably could have went a very
- 10:03different direction. But the that was really
- 10:07interesting and I think about it in hindsight and I was like,
- 10:09wow, this is God is real, you know?
- 10:12And so now I've been fairly vocal about some of this stuff
- 10:17and it's costed me some friendships.
- 10:19People think I'm like this fringe right guy that's like
- 10:21anti women. And all of a sudden I'm like.
- 10:24Because you're pro-life. Because I'm pro-life, because
- 10:26I'm unapologetically pro-life, because I saw the hoopla on the
- 10:31Internet after Roe V Wake got overturned and said, hey, this
- 10:35is this is good and you guys are losing your mind and this is
- 10:39ridiculous. Like what are we talking about
- 10:40you? A lot of the same people can't
- 10:42define what a woman is, also can't define what a baby is.
- 10:47But they can if you really press on what a baby is, but they just
- 10:49think it's the least of equals to kill unborn babies versus
- 10:53taking women's autonomy. Like it's this weird, bizarre
- 10:56world. And so I've been very outspoken
- 10:58about that. And one of my friends, hopefully
- 11:00he doesn't mind me sharing this, but he sat me down because
- 11:02apparently a video I made on YouTube went viral on ticked on
- 11:06Twitter of under the pro-life hashtag.
- 11:08And I didn't even know. And he sits me down and he's
- 11:11like, hey, so like, I didn't know you were on this whole
- 11:13like, abortion is murder to kick.
- 11:16And I'm like, well, abortion is murder.
- 11:19It's OK, you can say it. And I said, and I've actually
- 11:22never used those words because if you guys will learn, if you
- 11:24haven't already, you can't really say that on YouTube.
- 11:26You're instantly demonetized. The video is going to get ether.
- 11:28So we find these like code words to say like a set of abortion.
- 11:31Was it like the deletion of babies, the termination of
- 11:34babies? And so it was really weird that
- 11:36like virtually within a couple months, like I within certain
- 11:40circles that tend to be more left and liberal, I'm viewed as
- 11:43this like a fringe alt right guy.
- 11:48And I'm like, no, I got what? This is just common sense, you
- 11:52know, but I'm cool. Like I'll wear it as a batch of
- 11:54honor, you know, and, and I, and yeah, so anyway, I'll tell you
- 11:58more about that offline because it's a, it's a, it's a weird
- 12:01exchange. Well, it's interesting because
- 12:02we need more men who are willing to speak on abortion.
- 12:05I think that we need more people in general, men and women, but
- 12:08we need more Youtubers and influencers because like you
- 12:12say, there's censorship and there's also this weird thing
- 12:15where you get accused of being fringe or radical for simply
- 12:19stating the facts that this is the ending of an innocent life.
- 12:21It's murder. I want to get into that more,
- 12:24but I want to go. Your story is so fascinating all
- 12:26the way back to. Sorry for jumping around.
- 12:28No, I love it. It's great.
- 12:29It's so. Good.
- 12:30Going all the way back to where you were born.
- 12:33Name. Name your country again.
- 12:34Azerbaijan. Baku.
- 12:35Azerbaijan, Baku and your mother and father brought you to San
- 12:40Diego. How old were you when you got
- 12:42here? Wow, Do you remember growing up?
- 12:45Yeah, I remember it not snowing often in Baku, but I remember
- 12:49one year it snowed. I remember.
- 12:52I remember Moscow because I remember the first time I was
- 12:54exposed to porn in Moscow. I was like.
- 12:56Five Whoa. How did that happen?
- 12:58I had my very favorite movie, it was called American Ninja.
- 13:01Have you ever heard of this? Oh, this is classic 80s films.
- 13:05I'm 88 so a little OK. Little later, yeah, a little
- 13:08later. So this was a a movie with an
- 13:11actor named Michael Dudicuff and he was playing it's like
- 13:14American Ninja. This is like typical like this.
- 13:16We before we had Power Rangers, any of this kind of stuff, I
- 13:18would just watch these movies and I get they were kind of like
- 13:20PG13 rated R. And my mom, God bless her, would
- 13:23leave me in front of the TV with a dub of it.
- 13:26But when we were in Moscow, the dub of American Ninja wasn't our
- 13:30dub from Baku. And it was, it ended and a porno
- 13:34came on. Yeah.
- 13:36And so I like, I vividly remember that that like
- 13:38finishing that movie, the credits rolling and then this
- 13:41movie comes on and and it just like totally distorting every
- 13:47like, that was like, wow, F5, which is crazy.
- 13:49Then my son's 8. And I'm like, my gosh, you know,
- 13:51such a tender, fragile, delicate age.
- 13:54So I remember that happening. I remember Saint Petersburg a
- 13:58little bit. We stayed in Saint Petersburg.
- 14:00I remember being in some. It's beautiful, huh?
- 14:02Yeah. It's it's cold.
- 14:03I just remember cold. I remember Moscow and Saint
- 14:05Petersburg being cold. I remember Baku being nice.
- 14:09I remember our apartment. I remember those things.
- 14:11So yeah, I remember some of it. And when you got here, did you
- 14:14already know English? I mean, what did you speak
- 14:16growing up in Baku? And then did you when you got
- 14:19here, you were probably already bilingual, So was that an easy
- 14:22transition? What was that transition like
- 14:24for? You.
- 14:24No, I, I spoke Russian. My mother spoke Russian and some
- 14:28English, but it was more like British English.
- 14:30So it's a little different. I know British people don't
- 14:32think they speak English too, but it's different from American
- 14:34English. My dad didn't speak a little
- 14:36English. He spoke a little bit of
- 14:38Armenian and for whatever reason he did, he didn't teach me
- 14:40Armenian again. Azerbaijan was a part of the
- 14:43Soviet Union at the time, so it was communism.
- 14:45I remember food rations. I remember water rations.
- 14:49I remember we'd get a tub of water for like a week or half a
- 14:53week, and we'd have to share that amongst our family.
- 14:56And my dad was going back and forth to work in Moscow because
- 14:59of these programs about who he had to travel and just work in a
- 15:01different, you know, part. And is that because he was
- 15:04scared of violence? I mean, what was?
- 15:06He it was just flaring up. And again, a lot of this stuff
- 15:08goes back to the Armenian genocide.
- 15:10There's this autonomous zone that is in Azerbaijan, but it's
- 15:14like in his own Armenian country, they call Ada Doc.
- 15:18I think is or or. No, that's Mount Ada Doc.
- 15:20And so, yeah, So there was just tension.
- 15:23And so he would. So that was a strain on their
- 15:24marriage. They both had side
- 15:25relationships. And then they came to America
- 15:27and they're like, we're going to start fresh.
- 15:28And then the marriage fell apart six months into it.
- 15:30Yeah. That takes a lot of courage
- 15:32though, to come here. So when you got here, so you you
- 15:34spoke Russian and English, but what was your transition like?
- 15:37Well, I learned English. I learned English from Michael
- 15:40Jackson and like consuming American media.
- 15:42That's how I learned English. That's because there was no
- 15:44overdubs of like American movies in Russian.
- 15:47So cartoons, Michael Jackson, American ninja, then gangster
- 15:51rap music. That's how I ended up learning
- 15:53English. Yeah.
- 15:54Yeah. Well, it was like LL Cool J,
- 15:56Tribe Called Quest. It wasn't so gangster initially.
- 15:58And then that's when the gangster rap.
- 15:59Hit You think that's why you got into rap.
- 16:01Yeah. Oh, absolutely.
- 16:03Yeah, absolutely. I mean, it was, it was this
- 16:05fascinating. I didn't understand the history
- 16:07of it. I didn't say any of it.
- 16:08I was just like, this is cool. Like, and this was more there
- 16:11was graffiti art that wasn't like tagging.
- 16:13It was like actual art. There was break dancing
- 16:16turntablism. And it was, yeah, it was.
- 16:18I was fascinated because I went from Michael Jackson, that was
- 16:21amazing to this. And I'm like, this is the
- 16:23coolest thing ever. And then it got dark, like then
- 16:25it was like, whoa, like the chronic doggy style.
- 16:28It was like, this is this is dark.
- 16:31And then it it kind of, yeah. It just, it just got really
- 16:33dark. And when you got here, you
- 16:34mentioned you're an ultra boy. Yeah.
- 16:36So were you Catholic or meaning Catholic?
- 16:39Yeah, were you? I kind of brushed over that part
- 16:42I. If you want to share.
- 16:43Yeah, no. So Armenians view themselves as
- 16:47like the first Christian nation. We're very proud of that.
- 16:50The Armenian Apostolic Church, we believe, was established by
- 16:54the Apostle Bartholomew who went to Armenia.
- 16:56So our the IT had the first schism was when the Oriental
- 17:00Church split from the Catholic Church in the around the year
- 17:03460. And so we've, we didn't have a
- 17:07written language until we created when it translated the
- 17:10Bible. Like it's a very, I mean, it's a
- 17:13very Christian nationalistic identity there.
- 17:16And so if you're Armenian, you come to America as a refugee,
- 17:19like the, the community hub becomes the Armenian Apostolic
- 17:22Church, which would be more similar.
- 17:23I would say probably it's like a Catholic Church, like Eastern.
- 17:25Or so it was, an altar boy in the Armenian Apostolic.
- 17:28Church, Yes, yes, I was an altar boy.
- 17:29I was one of the younger altar boys and then there were some
- 17:31teenagers that were older altar boys that were like 12 to 15 ish
- 17:37and I was like 7 to 8. I remember getting the baptism
- 17:42and they sprinkled the water on me and I got I had like a
- 17:45godfather that was in the church.
- 17:48And it was, it was a overlap of ethnic identity and faith.
- 17:52And I do remember hearing about Jesus then and I remember they,
- 17:55they would try to do Bible studies, but it was a lot of
- 17:57tradition and a lot of like liturgy, which now I like, I
- 18:00appreciate in hindsight, like I went back what maybe a year ago
- 18:03took my son and I was like, this is this is kind of dope.
- 18:06Like the, the, the smells, the choir was behind us.
- 18:13So they had a, they had a balcony and choir was behind us.
- 18:18So when you're worshipping, you don't see anyone, right?
- 18:20And it's like evangelical church is like guy with the guitar.
- 18:24It's like you just just smell and is he's like real, like
- 18:29gothy sounding songs. Bells, Yeah.
- 18:31Have you been to a Latin Mass? I'm not, I'm not.
- 18:34I'm sure it's dope though. It's dope.
- 18:35Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So I've.
- 18:38Just kind of grown to appreciate it more.
- 18:40And there's an ethnic thing there and you're just like,
- 18:42damn, man. My, my buddy went goes back
- 18:44every year. His name is Arthur.
- 18:46He runs a ministry called the Apology Center.
- 18:47And he's got got gone back there and he's like, man, I went to
- 18:50the gravesite of a disciple of Bartholomew, you know, so
- 18:55Bartholomew has a successor in Armenia and they know where his
- 19:00grave is. And you can go and visit it.
- 19:01Like, that's a trip, you know? Yeah, yeah.
- 19:03I remember going to Jerusalem and going to the tomb and going
- 19:07to Jerusalem is nice. It's just like this is our Lord,
- 19:09He was here. It's it's.
- 19:11It's you. Went to the empty tomb or you
- 19:12went to the Church of the. The Church of the Holy
- 19:14Sepulchre. Sepulchre Yeah, I went to both.
- 19:16I went to both, yeah. And so Armenia, if you, if you
- 19:18remember, Armenians have like 1/4 of Jerusalem.
- 19:21So there's the Eastern, there's the Christians, there's the
- 19:23Muslims, there's the Jews and Armenians have 1/4 of the old
- 19:26city and we and, and there's a Armenian thing that I bought
- 19:29some candles when I was at that church and it was talked to some
- 19:32of the priests and it was, it was cool.
- 19:34It's amazing. Yeah, it's really cool.
- 19:35So I appreciate it more now. When I first got saved, I was
- 19:37like, what? Like all this tradition, you
- 19:39just need Jesus and the Bible and that's it.
- 19:42And then you kind of grow up and you kind of like, no, like
- 19:44there's something to church history, you know, there's
- 19:46something to all of it. Yeah, I kind of went a
- 19:49different, an opposite direction in a way.
- 19:51I was raised evangelical and ended up becoming Catholic in
- 19:54college. But before that, I actually went
- 19:56to an Orthodox Church for several months throughout high
- 19:59school. Yeah.
- 20:00And it was really compelling to see the liturgy.
- 20:03And then I ended up in Rome eventually.
- 20:05But it's beautiful. Yeah, I had a close friend, same
- 20:08thing. He was going to one of our mega
- 20:10churches in Vista called North Coast.
- 20:12And then he's like full on Eastern Orthodox.
- 20:14And I'm like he has like a little wall with like all these
- 20:17pictures of all these Saints. And I'm like, yeah, I respect
- 20:20it. You know, I think it's cool.
- 20:21So when you started to after you married your wife and you're
- 20:25born again, I mean, you're, you're, you're in this immigrant
- 20:28kid and you went through all these things.
- 20:29What, what was your inspiration to start YouTube?
- 20:33And when did that come into the picture?
- 20:34You were doing music and then you're doing YouTube.
- 20:37So walk me through that. So 2015, I'm getting ready to
- 20:44quit my job. I worked at my church for two
- 20:45years as a media guy. So I ended up picking up a lot
- 20:48of the camera stuff, I video switchers, all this stuff.
- 20:52And I'm also running this like independent boutique label with
- 20:56some of my friends. And I'm like, if I'm going to go
- 21:01and do this music thing full time.
- 21:02Thankfully we were debt free. Like we were very into Ramsey,
- 21:06Dave Ramsey stuff. So we got debt free, thankfully
- 21:09we had six months of living expenses.
- 21:10We had traveled, we went to Rome, we went to Paris, NY.
- 21:15We like they got all the traveling out and we, we quit
- 21:19the, the job at the church. And so I'm like, if I'm going to
- 21:22quit, like I got to do something else because with music, you go
- 21:24out and do shows and then you come back.
- 21:26And then and so I ended up saying, OK, well, I'm going to
- 21:28do this YouTube thing. And I saw this thing called my
- 21:30Day as a full time rapper. And the first episode is still
- 21:32up. You can go back, people can go
- 21:33back and watch it. And it's just me documenting
- 21:35like, all right, guys, I quit my job.
- 21:36Like it's June 1st. This is what a day and a rapper
- 21:38look like. And so I did that for a couple
- 21:40episodes in 2015. And I couldn't maintain that
- 21:44because I had these other artists I was responsible for.
- 21:47They were they were there, their careers were starting to
- 21:48blossom. So I kind of took a back seat,
- 21:50handled the business and then we fell out over the business and
- 21:55which was which was in hindsight, a great blessing in
- 21:57disguise. And then I kept being around
- 22:01people that were doing really well on YouTube.
- 22:02So my a good friend of mine, I don't know if you know what
- 22:04think media is. Sean Cannell, good friend of
- 22:06mine, he was blowing up. Curtis King was doing a lot of
- 22:10stuff. One of the guys I was doing
- 22:12music with belief his channel exploded and I was like, man,
- 22:15there's something to this YouTube thing, but it was like
- 22:18daily vlogs was the thing at the time.
- 22:20So it's kind of doing daily vlogs and I pivoted to like
- 22:22talking head videos and I remember August 2018 at 5000
- 22:25subscribers and I'm like, cool. And I and Sean invited me to go
- 22:29to his conferences, I think his first think media conference.
- 22:31So I went and it was just great. Like I immersed myself in it and
- 22:35they gave me a lot of permission to be like, look, you're
- 22:38building a channel around your personality and it's going to be
- 22:40a little different. It's going to take a little
- 22:42longer. It's not a education, it's not
- 22:44utility. It's you're talking about your
- 22:45personality, different topics. It's OK to have a novelty
- 22:48channel, just know it's going to take longer.
- 22:50And then one of the things like, but you got to do thumbnails and
- 22:52I didn't want to do thumbnails. So the end of 2018, I have 5000
- 22:55subscribers. And then I figured out that I
- 22:58can take the video Switcher ahead at my church to have
- 23:00multiple cameras set up and I could plug cameras in and I
- 23:04could feed the video Switcher to my computer and then I could
- 23:06actually stream or at least one take interviews.
- 23:09So I'm doing my Christian rap shows all of 2019 and I'm
- 23:13literally setting up something like this.
- 23:14I have a little video Switcher and I'm just interviewing my
- 23:16friends backstage and I would interview just different people.
- 23:19Some were Christian, some were not Christian, and that got a
- 23:22little bit of momentum. So I'm going into 2020 with like
- 23:2515,000 subscribers. It's not really making any
- 23:27money, but it's just a fun hobby and I'm just uploading everyday
- 23:29clips of different interviews. And then 2020 hit and I'm like,
- 23:32well, I can't do any more shows, I can't travel, I can't really
- 23:36do anything. And I had this idea of doing
- 23:39this live stream reaction format where I'd react, do commentary
- 23:42on different videos, time in the scripture and then take a 2 hour
- 23:47live stream and inside of the YouTube editor, just clip them
- 23:50up into individual clips. So that way I'm bypassing memory
- 23:53cards, I'm bypassing having to edit anything.
- 23:55Everything is happening live inside of the ecosystem.
- 23:58And within that, I, by the end of by November 2020, my Adsense
- 24:03like instantly surpassed my music money, whatever residuals
- 24:07I was making off of music. So I was like, well, like, this
- 24:10is it. And the, the moment I could hire
- 24:12someone, I hired my buddy Zach, who's our CEO now.
- 24:15Zach's been with me since he was 17 shooting all my music videos.
- 24:18And so we got him on and we just hired another editor.
- 24:20And so it was really that lockdown when everyone was at
- 24:23home. And I'm just kind of looking at
- 24:24like, what's, what do I find interesting?
- 24:26What are people talking about? And how can I tie it, tie it in?
- 24:29And it was more or less kind of the Joe Rogan model, but without
- 24:32the podcast, without, without a guest there because we didn't
- 24:35have any guests there. And so since that blew up, we
- 24:38went from, I don't know, we grew with like 40,000 subscribers.
- 24:41By the end of 2020-2021, it was 100,000 main channels over
- 24:45330,000. Now we have a second channel
- 24:47that's at 150,000 and we started 1/3 channel that's really small.
- 24:51And it's more about like, as we called it, mastermind my
- 24:54business. And it's all about doing
- 24:55business the master's way. So that's kind of that.
- 24:58And so, yeah, it was a combination of frequency with
- 25:02topics that people care about and then bringing in different
- 25:04guests and different personalities.
- 25:06And so it's been really good. That's awesome.
- 25:08Yeah. What's your what's your approach
- 25:10to picking the topics? You say the topics you find
- 25:12interesting and then like when you do your commentary.
- 25:16Walk me through how you do that. Yeah.
- 25:17So every day we'll usually kind of examine what's trending,
- 25:22what's happening, what's interesting.
- 25:24Are you doing it daily? Daily.
- 25:25Daily live stream. Five days a week, we're about to
- 25:28move to four days a week and we're just trying to have seven
- 25:30days of content and four days a week, see if we can compress
- 25:32time a bit. And so, yeah, every day we will
- 25:34look at what's trending, what's happening.
- 25:36So we just did, like today's stream, for example, was a video
- 25:39about Satan Con in Boston, and we reacted to the news coverage
- 25:44of it. We reacted to different
- 25:45commentary. So are you pulling all those
- 25:47clips or you could have some? Yes, we have like a React
- 25:49computer. Zach is pulling them.
- 25:50When Zach is not there, I'm pulling them up.
- 25:52We're pulling them. We're reacting to him.
- 25:53We'll pull up article and we'll just react to different stuff
- 25:57that's happening and then that'll go.
- 26:00Then the topic will change. And then like the second topic
- 26:02was about, I don't know if you're familiar with like, I
- 26:04don't mean open this kind of worms, but the men's, the men's
- 26:07rights movement and the red pill community.
- 26:09It's really weird. So we reacted to Rallo Tomasi
- 26:12saying the seven steps to become a high value man.
- 26:15And it's like #1 is like, don't get married.
- 26:18Number 2 is like get. I saw that get a vasectomy in
- 26:20your. 20s that yeah, so. We just kind of roasted him
- 26:22like. This is ridiculous.
- 26:24Well, I was giving a speech last night at Cal State Fullerton and
- 26:27this guy got up and he's like all my friends or a bunch of my
- 26:31friends are living out of their cars and they, they don't have
- 26:33their homes anymore. They don't have their kids
- 26:35anymore because of these women they married.
- 26:38And you know, what would you tell men they should?
- 26:40It was like the Red pill script he was basically reading, but he
- 26:43was sincere. And I just thought I just said
- 26:46to him, don't get married if you think all women are like that.
- 26:49That's your mindset about women. You know, your your standard by
- 26:52which you're judging women is a harsh 1.
- 26:54It's a cruel 1. And it's not a true one either
- 26:56because obviously there are bad women, there's bad men, but
- 26:58there's plenty of good ones and plenty of good women too.
- 27:01But yeah, so. Me and Rallo had a whole debate
- 27:03about all of this. What?
- 27:04What was he on the red pill side?
- 27:06Oh, he's the godfather of the he wrote their Bible.
- 27:09It's called the Rational Male. I had to unread.
- 27:11I had to read it. Wait a minute, you sat down with
- 27:13Rallo. Where does he live?
- 27:15He lives in Reno, NV and so we. Debate him.
- 27:18I had to debate, so he wouldn't sit down with me unless I read
- 27:21his books. So I read two of his five books
- 27:24and they were really bad. There's no citations, nothing.
- 27:27And it's all about how women are just really bad.
- 27:30Which is fine if you say this is my opinion.
- 27:36He calls it a praxeology. It's like a social science.
- 27:39And I'm like, this is not. You can't do social science
- 27:40without citations or studies. It's just not how it works,
- 27:44Right? Like you can't be like, yeah,
- 27:46so. So he's so can you tell me
- 27:49because I have, I'm definitely aware of red pills and I think
- 27:53I'm getting more aware of it as time goes by, but I don't know
- 27:56that I understand the origin. So.
- 27:58The origin is like message boards.
- 28:00And they would. Like Reddit or 4 Chan?
- 28:02It's like 4 Chan. I don't.
- 28:02Know if it's 4 Chan but it was like message boards online and
- 28:05it was these guys. Telling their stories.
- 28:07Telling their stories and then they they kind of try to become
- 28:10more scientific and like examine women's nature and how women are
- 28:14hypergamous and they'll always want something better.
- 28:17And Rollo was early in this and he wrote their what they call
- 28:21their, their Bible, like the rational mail.
- 28:22And anybody who wants to look it up, you can you can just search
- 28:25rational mail summary book. And he's clearly not married
- 28:29Rollo. Well, this is, this is the best
- 28:30part. I'm this is so fun that we got
- 28:32into this. Hopefully that we don't go over
- 28:34on this. But Rollo has been married for
- 28:3725 years and has a kid. So everyone's like, dude, you
- 28:42don't practice week. He's.
- 28:44Telling. Wait, but he's telling men to
- 28:45tell. Men to get married.
- 28:46But he's happily married. Is he happily married?
- 28:48He claims he is. Wow, he claims he is.
- 28:50How what's what's the marriage like?
- 28:52Or do you what's the wife like? I don't.
- 28:53Know but he has a daughter that's I think engaged and so.
- 28:56So is the daughter not allowed to get married because no men
- 28:58should marry a woman cause all women are bad or what's no
- 29:00she's? Engaged to a dude and I, I don't
- 29:04know, I, I haven't talked to him about that kind of stuff, but he
- 29:06professes to be a Christian, which is wild that I would have
- 29:08known that until I got to the end of his religion book where
- 29:11he makes like a overt profession of I believe even the bodily
- 29:14resurrection of Jesus, the literal bodily resurrection of
- 29:18Jesus and, and of some. So people go back and watch our
- 29:21conversation. And so Long story short, we have
- 29:24this back and forth 2 hour debate.
- 29:26It was good. We didn't really get into the
- 29:27hypergamy side. It was just my argument was, hey
- 29:30man, like if you're going to say this a praxology and you're
- 29:32going to write a book about religion, at least tell people
- 29:34the truth about Christian marriage and how it's different.
- 29:37The Christians are some of the least likely to get divorced,
- 29:40that Christians who aren't promiscuous are the most
- 29:42sexually satisfied that most people who aren't sexually
- 29:45promiscuous, most virgins are in church.
- 29:48Have you come? Across Brad Wilcox yet I have
- 29:50not so he'd love him and his whole research body of research
- 29:54is about the satisfaction that married people have who are also
- 29:59practicing a faith weekly right church and then also who avoid
- 30:03having sex before marriage and he has this thing where he talks
- 30:05about authoritative men versus authoritarian men or parents and
- 30:11so he's. Very.
- 30:12It's so you would love it. It's actually, I think the
- 30:14antidote to red pill ISM to some degree because I'm going to try
- 30:17to get him out here to interview and actually maybe we can pop
- 30:19down and chat with you too. But he's he really makes a
- 30:23beautiful case about we need authoritative parents and
- 30:27fathers. You know, the man does have a
- 30:29role of authority. That's an important one.
- 30:32But when he's an authoritarian and he uses fear and force
- 30:36instead of leading with example and love and service, yeah, you
- 30:41can create disharmony in the home and all these things, so.
- 30:43So the interesting thing about the red pill is that there's a
- 30:47lot of overlap. So they'll, they, they, they
- 30:49assess the right problems but prescribe the worst solutions.
- 30:53But they claim they don't even give prescriptions, but they
- 30:55clearly do. So they'll assess, hey, you
- 30:57know, women's rights in 3rd wave feminism and birth control.
- 31:02We're not net positives to women.
- 31:04And it says that, hey, men are hurting.
- 31:06Men are the most likely to die on the job, most likely to
- 31:09commit suicide, most likely to be depressed, most likely, blah,
- 31:12blah, blah, blah. If they if you get divorced,
- 31:14it's really hard on a man. But so they assess a lot of the
- 31:17right problems. It's just that they're very
- 31:19incomplete solutions. And so it's this interesting
- 31:23thing because intrinsically people know some of it is true.
- 31:27You could just look around society and be like, this is
- 31:30kind of wild, right? But then the application of how
- 31:33to navigate it is the complete opposite because you're really
- 31:36just adding to the problem, right?
- 31:37So a high value woman to them is a woman that's younger, who's a
- 31:40virgin and yadda, yadda, yadda. Yet the prescription is to go
- 31:43splint spin plates and to date women on Wednesdays.
- 31:47But the girls that are sexually active with you prioritize them
- 31:50for Fridays and Saturdays. This is in his book.
- 31:52So basically the man doesn't need to be a virgin or committed
- 31:55to chastity, just the woman. Just the woman and and my thing
- 31:59is. And he's OK with that for his
- 32:00daughter. And again, I didn't, I didn't
- 32:02poke at the daughter thing, but I'm like, but you're making the
- 32:06problem worse, of course, because now we know that the
- 32:09more partner someone has them less likely they are to be
- 32:12satisfied in a marriage. That's that's empirically
- 32:14proven. So now all these women that say
- 32:17they're at, you know, X amount of partners, the CDC says the
- 32:19average woman has four partners self reported.
- 32:21We don't know if how I could average man has 6.
- 32:23So now you're, you're making this worse because you're
- 32:25creating more and more women that are going to have more and
- 32:27more partners that are probably eventually going to want to
- 32:30settle down and are going to have struggles in their marriage
- 32:34because of this, or you're going to have a bunch of abortions.
- 32:37And that's another aspect of it. And, you know, so it's, it's
- 32:41just a mess. Like all of it is a mess.
- 32:42And I like engaging with it 'cause some of the guys are
- 32:44reasonable. I had another debate in Dallas
- 32:46and it was it was more reasonable as one of Rollo's
- 32:48friends, but some of it is just really over the side and I also
- 32:52don't help. They're searching, right?
- 32:53I mean, they're kind of like you said, there's a problem that we
- 32:55all know is a problem, which is like male, female.
- 32:59Our relationships today are torn up.
- 33:01People are miserable. Gen.
- 33:03Z doesn't even want to get married.
- 33:04Gen. Z doesn't want to have kids
- 33:06because of climate change. I mean, everybody's on on
- 33:08antidepressants or on some sort of drug for their mental health
- 33:11issues and everyone's unhappy. So they're like, OK, well, we're
- 33:14going to blame feminism and abortion And, and well, I don't
- 33:17even think they say abortion. They say they just say abortion.
- 33:20That's good. I mean, I'm like.
- 33:20Rock out with you guys. So do your points.
- 33:23The right, it's the right. To the point where they want to
- 33:25charge women who have abortions. They want to criminally.
- 33:28And I'm just like, I don't know, I, I got to think about that,
- 33:31you know, like, I don't know how that would work.
- 33:32Well, I think it's that depends right on the case because you
- 33:35can charge a man who does abortions, so the abortionist or
- 33:38if the guy's coercing her. So, but you know, it's
- 33:41interesting because I don't know that many of them have heard of
- 33:46something called theology of the body.
- 33:47I don't know if you've heard of John Paul the Second, Pope John
- 33:49Paul the Second. Theology of the body.
- 33:51Well, he has this like really beautiful explanation of
- 33:55basically Christians, Christianity's view on sex,
- 33:58which is that it is obviously marriage is a sacrament, right?
- 34:01And men and women are equal in dignity, that Adam and Eve were
- 34:04equal, equal dignity. But and that, you know, Eve
- 34:08coming from the side of Adam is a partner to him.
- 34:10And the idea of a helpmate is not someone who's lower than
- 34:14right, but a support to him and their support to one another.
- 34:18But he talks really beautifully about this idea of personalism,
- 34:21which is that if we see like that, that ideal woman as this,
- 34:25like in the red pill movement, it's like the virgin who is has
- 34:29this pure background, who's very young and is just going to stay
- 34:32at home all day with the apron on, I guess cooking or whatever,
- 34:34right? That like 1950s self housewife
- 34:37stereotype. It's making an object out of her
- 34:40as opposed to what you're supposed to do in marriage,
- 34:42which is love, a person, a subject.
- 34:44And it's not just for what they can do for me, it's what can I
- 34:46do for them. Good.
- 34:48Yeah, you service you're serving.
- 34:49Exactly. And so anyways, but I just feel
- 34:51like what is what, what what's their response to that?
- 34:53I mean, I mean, I'm sure you've said something that.
- 34:55Is the conversation I'm I've tried to lean in on.
- 34:58And so Rollo is also kind of behind the scenes, don't say
- 35:02responsible for, but but friendly with Andrew Tate.
- 35:04So the explosion of Andrew Tate is connected to this entire
- 35:07movement. So Long story short, what
- 35:09happened with me and Rolla was we had this debate, 2 hour and a
- 35:11half hour conversation. I read his books, I honored him,
- 35:13I respected him. It was good.
- 35:16I think it was a little too good for me.
- 35:18His fan base. Fanboys are always going to say,
- 35:20you know, Ruslan's a simp, he doesn't get it.
- 35:23But what happened? So then, so then he comes back
- 35:26and I had my iPad, I had notes, I was pulling up studies, you
- 35:29know, I was showing data and he does a stream where he basically
- 35:32says Ruslan was getting information fed to him on his 2
- 35:37Apple Watches. This isn't an Apple Watch during
- 35:40the debate and basically created this whole conspiracy that I
- 35:42cheated that was getting information fed to me.
- 35:45By feminists. No no no by by Zach who was in
- 35:49there screen grabbing parts of the conversation because we were
- 35:51making our own highlight version.
- 35:53So. So was that like a rule going
- 35:55into the debate that you weren't allowed to, like, pull things up
- 35:56on your laptop? No, it was no rule.
- 35:58He just needed to find a way to explain why you you basically
- 36:01beat him. And and and and made a big thing
- 36:03of it and like basically said, I cheated, you know, and I'm like.
- 36:07This. Is very flattering flattering
- 36:09for you and he follows in his 50s like this is flattering for
- 36:12me for you to say that I cheated and by the way again I have an
- 36:16Apple Watch and a loop so he's this whole conspiracy contracted
- 36:19and so we ended up roasting him and so we haven't he's blocked
- 36:23me on everything He doesn't want to do a Part 2.
- 36:24He agreed to a Part 2 in that conversation.
- 36:26I've offered to fly him out and he just, he doesn't want to have
- 36:29the conversation, but I, I really want to have because I
- 36:31think there's some faulty science there as well about
- 36:34women's, women's nature. They've basically created their
- 36:37own version of original. Sin Well, that's the thing.
- 36:39It's like they make women out to be a different species from men.
- 36:42Yes. And it's like, actually we have
- 36:43more in common as men and women than we have uncommon, like
- 36:47separate from each other. So I think that's that's this
- 36:49thing is like women are the separate species.
- 36:51And that's not that's not some modern issue in the red pill
- 36:54movement. That's been throughout history.
- 36:55Yeah, women have been seen that way.
- 36:57Yeah. So and it's led to a lot of bad,
- 36:59bad endings. It's a fascinating conversation
- 37:01and I would hope that they would be more open to sitting down and
- 37:04not it's not a monolith. There's a lot of infighting in
- 37:06that community. There's some guys that are
- 37:08trying to figure it out, you know, but it's a it's very
- 37:11fascinating. So there's there's a condensed
- 37:13what's your? Take on Andrew Tate.
- 37:16I think Andrew Tate is someone who has had a really hard
- 37:24upbringing and based on his view of what the options were landed
- 37:33in doing this Cam girl business model and it made him a lot of
- 37:38money. And I think Andrew Tate was
- 37:41ignorant of the legalities of all of it.
- 37:44And I think in his mind he was doing his partnership with these
- 37:47women and da da, da da and they all love me and I'm a good guy
- 37:49and this whole stuff. And I think in the process that
- 37:51he was ignorant on what the laws were because something changed
- 37:55in the laws because pimping and pandering changed to sex
- 37:58trafficking. Even like I have friends that I
- 38:03grew up with that they, they drive from here to Vegas, their
- 38:07girls are selling themselves. This is again a dark life.
- 38:11And that's trafficking. And they don't, they're not
- 38:15thinking about that, right. And so now when you add digital,
- 38:18it's digital trafficking. And especially if they don't
- 38:20have access to certain things. So I think Andrew Tate wasn't, I
- 38:24didn't think he knew, but I think the he he was just
- 38:27ignorant of laws and it and based on if, if what he says in
- 38:31these courses is true, which is take their logins away, don't
- 38:35let them have access to their only fans, right?
- 38:37All those things. If this is true, that is, that
- 38:39is digital trafficking. That is legally what was.
- 38:42Happening separate from the whole legal question, I mean,
- 38:45being part of an enterprise to sell sex, to sell women's
- 38:49bodies, it's pretty lowest of the low, right?
- 38:53It's like it's up there with the abortion industry.
- 38:55I mean, and that's what I'm I'm confused about Andrew Tate
- 38:58because I see increasingly different people choosing to
- 39:03praise some of the things he says because occasionally he
- 39:05says something that sounds kind of like common sense, but his
- 39:08ideology is so warped. And then it's like, why are you
- 39:12like enough people in the world? I mean, you're saying common
- 39:14sense and you're the rest of your ideology isn't warped.
- 39:17So why why I don't, I guess I don't understand this phenomenon
- 39:20on YouTube where I feel like people like Jedidiah Abela, I
- 39:23don't know if you've no value attainment.
- 39:25And I really like her. I think she's she's really cool,
- 39:28but I see her like praising Andrew Tate.
- 39:30There were some of the things he says as an example, and I'm
- 39:32like, why are you doing that, Jed?
- 39:33You know, like I've. Never asked her that.
- 39:35Pick someone else to praise, right?
- 39:36Well. One he's hot he's he's he's
- 39:38scorching hot on the Internet, so that's that you guys going to
- 39:41get clicks sure you know that is what it is.
- 39:43I think I. Bet Hitler would have been hot
- 39:45if he'd been around. Now.
- 39:46That's just like, because he was just like very like intense and
- 39:49he had a rabid following two. I don't know the red pill and I
- 39:54would. I don't know Andrew Tae would
- 39:55say he's not a red pill, but that again, that's Rolo.
- 39:58That's all. These guys are all in the same
- 39:59pack. They all, they all know each
- 40:00other as well. It's it is an overcorrection to
- 40:03which feminism was an overcorrection of right.
- 40:06So I think that's exactly right. The tenets of feminism is like,
- 40:09hey, like we want to be paid the same for the same work like we'd
- 40:12like to. My buddy told me that his I
- 40:15think his grandma had to have her husband go buy a car with
- 40:19her 'cause she wasn't allowed legally to buy.
- 40:21Yeah, I mean, you look. At no, it's.
- 40:23True. I was just it's the vindication
- 40:24of the rights of women. I don't know if you've read that
- 40:26treat as one of the early feminists and she's basically
- 40:28explaining she wants basic, basic equality under the law,
- 40:32which I think. I think it's fair, reasonable,
- 40:35we. Would agree with.
- 40:36Yeah. So it's this overcorrection?
- 40:38But you know, I my argument would be, by the way, like the
- 40:40early feminists are actually pro-life.
- 40:42They were really pro family. And then the like, sexual
- 40:45revolution was happening with like Sanger early on, even in
- 40:48the 1920s as early and then, you know, came full bore in with,
- 40:53you know, Playboy and Hugh Hefner and everything else.
- 40:55But you saw Betty Friedan. But you saw all of this like
- 40:59women's rights now was hijacked that language now let's have
- 41:02equal treatment under the law and dignity was hijacked by the
- 41:05sexual revolution. People were like, oh, we're
- 41:07going to say now you need birth control and abortion and, you
- 41:10know, men are evil and marriage is stupid and like, you know,
- 41:13flee the home and go join the workforce.
- 41:15Be like a man, like all that nonsense.
- 41:17And that became feminism when that was not its original
- 41:20design. Now there's different branches
- 41:22obviously like Marxist feminism, different kinds, but the the OG
- 41:25stuff about like equal rights is good.
- 41:29Yeah. And and so that is an
- 41:32overcorrection. So what you see Andrew Tate
- 41:33doing is an overcorrection to it.
- 41:35And there's enough. Again, there's enough.
- 41:36But he's overcorrecting to the point of creating something just
- 41:40as bad in its stead, if not worse.
- 41:42It's like chopping a head off the Hydra, thinking you're like
- 41:45beating the hydra and just another evil head grows back.
- 41:48I mean, that's. That's a great illustration.
- 41:50And why is that evil head growing back?
- 41:53It's because men are hurting. There are men that are hurting.
- 41:55There are men who whether it's the Internet, whether it's, I
- 41:59don't know what it is, right, But there are men who they don't
- 42:05know how to talk to women. They a lot of them anxiety,
- 42:08depression, all these different things.
- 42:10So there, there are men that resonate with that message.
- 42:13And so when you hear on the baseline of like, yeah, like the
- 42:16system is rigged and they're out to get you.
- 42:18So you need to get your, you know, your money, your gains.
- 42:21Go, go, go will lift like that. Some of that stuff is good.
- 42:24Go lift, go work out, go go get shake, take, take ownership of
- 42:26your life, take responsibility. And then it's like a lot of
- 42:29other stuff is backdoored in there.
- 42:31And I think he's also, he also does a good job of pointing out
- 42:34some of the differences between men and women that we are
- 42:36different and that's good. That's not bad.
- 42:39And so I think him pointing out those sorts of things are are
- 42:42like, again, it's just enough truth for to sneak to back door
- 42:46some of the really bad stuff. And I think I think This is why
- 42:50conversations like this is necessary.
- 42:51I think This is why more authoritative Christian men are
- 42:54necessary. And so that's that the whole red
- 42:56pill thing is, is just that it's like a overcorrection enough
- 42:58truth where you can you can feel some of it on an extinctual
- 43:01level is true, but then perverted and distorted.
- 43:05And you know the, the, I think the optimal happiness anyone's
- 43:09going to change in life is living your life God's way,
- 43:11which is in in a monogamous covenantal marriage.
- 43:15You know the. Self sacrifice.
- 43:17Self sacrifice. Yeah.
- 43:19And so it's like this is so clear in Scripture if we go to
- 43:22Ephesians 5 and it tells men, lay down your life the way
- 43:26Christ laid down his life for the church, right?
- 43:30And it tells women to submit to their husbands.
- 43:33I think that it's actually harder to lay down your life.
- 43:36I think it's harder to lay down your dreams.
- 43:38I think it's harder to say I'm just, I'm just about me and my
- 43:40empire. No, no, I got to consider what's
- 43:42most conducive for my family and what's best for my wife and
- 43:45what's. And so we see this beautiful
- 43:47depiction of an Ephesians 5 of how a marriage should look and
- 43:50all these different things. And it's, it gets twisted and
- 43:54perverted because all they hear is women submit.
- 43:56And it's like, yeah, women submit to a man who's laying
- 43:58down his life for you and is willing to sacrifice and is
- 44:01willing to serve you. And so it's, it's, again, it's
- 44:03pulling things out of context. And you know, some of it is
- 44:06true, but how does it practically?
- 44:08And it's a mutual submission in that he's laying down our life
- 44:11for for her. But I think the core of that too
- 44:14is women are the ones who bring life into the world.
- 44:17We can do that, thanks be to God.
- 44:20And So what does it take to gestate a baby and then to birth
- 44:24a baby and then to nurse a baby? And, you know, being a mother,
- 44:29especially of young children is tremendously.
- 44:31It takes all of you physically. It takes you.
- 44:34And so I think the model of the man who's then laying down his
- 44:37life for baby and for mother, because she's doing that for
- 44:41baby, right? It's the beautiful model.
- 44:43It's the family, it's the nuclear.
- 44:44I mean this, I think it's the the natural church.
- 44:46It's the it's this nucleus of any civilization.
- 44:49It's this building block and it's beautiful.
- 44:51But if it's the the man is selfish or self oriented about
- 44:54whatever external thing he's interested in and he's
- 44:57neglecting, he's just saying, well, you deal with the home
- 44:59wife. It's your, it's your domain.
- 45:01I'm going to just peace out and give you money to pay for
- 45:03things. It's like, no, you, your
- 45:05presence is needed emotionally, physically, spiritually in every
- 45:08way. And when it's there, it's a
- 45:11beautiful dynamic that it creates.
- 45:12The beautiful part about everything you just described is
- 45:15it's it's in people's best interest to get a hold of that
- 45:18one of the ideas. For the man too.
- 45:20For the man too, one of the ideas we're fleshing out is
- 45:24walk. Even if you don't believe in
- 45:25God, attempt to walk out what a godly marriage is and see how
- 45:30much better your life will be. Even if you're like, I don't
- 45:32know about so Jesus, OK cool. Just read some books about
- 45:35Christian marriage, about godly marriage and implement these
- 45:39things and see how much better things get just by doing it.
- 45:42Because that is the way it got married.
- 45:43That's the way God designed it. On top of which most people are
- 45:47going to have kids at some point in their lifetime.
- 45:49The the different stats I've read, but the the majority, if
- 45:53you know most people going have kids, you might as well have
- 45:57them in this sort of arrangement for the sake of your kids.
- 46:00And if you're like, I don't know if I want kids, OK, how about
- 46:02for the sake of our species continuing on, right?
- 46:04Because there's not going to be a species if we don't keep but.
- 46:08The fundamentals you have to care and I think that's that's
- 46:12kind of AI mean with the climate change stuff and crisis stuff
- 46:15that people are thinking, oh, the world's going to end.
- 46:18It's I feel like there's this like hopelessness that runs
- 46:20through it all where they just don't care enough about their
- 46:23own life, other people's lives, because they think we're all
- 46:26doomed or what's the point? And so it's like they don't want
- 46:30to put in. People are need to be encouraged
- 46:32or inspired to put in that extra worker effort that their life is
- 46:36worth it to like figure this out.
- 46:38Like you're saying, figure out what is a good marriage?
- 46:40Like, can you have one? How do you have one?
- 46:43What do you say? I mean, what, what is your
- 46:44message? Like that man you were talking
- 46:46about earlier? They're they're hurting, I think
- 46:49you said, which is true, they're hurting.
- 46:50And that's like the guy from my speech the other night, like I
- 46:53think he was hurting. And I hope I don't know how, how
- 46:56I was trying to be kind, but at the same time I was like wanting
- 46:59to be firm with him because I feel like he's getting all this
- 47:01tough love from like the Andrew Tate's of the world.
- 47:03And like, can I give you some gentle but tough love from a
- 47:06different perspective? But what do you what do you
- 47:07think is the right thing to say? Well, I would say foundationally
- 47:10the the Christian is at an advantage because I think
- 47:14something supernatural happens when when the Spirit of God
- 47:17comes and lives at. Us.
- 47:18Amen. Philippians says workout your
- 47:20own salvation with fear and trembling for it is God that
- 47:22does the work in you to follow him keep his decrees right.
- 47:26So it's this beautiful picture of like we're responsible, but
- 47:29we, we have the Spirit of God. That's, that's working out these
- 47:33things. Ezekiel talks about, I'll take
- 47:35away your heart of stone, give you a heart of flesh, right.
- 47:38Jeremiah talks about I'll give you, I'll give you the desires
- 47:41to keep my precepts and my laws. So I think 1 foundationally,
- 47:44like place your faith in Jesus. Go examine the resurrection.
- 47:47It happened. It really it that that is a
- 47:49historical event. And I think the faith in Jesus,
- 47:52I think there, there becomes a heart change, something changes
- 47:55and I can't, it's hard. But like no one told me porn was
- 47:58wrong when I got saved. I just knew.
- 47:59No one told me sexual immorality was wrong.
- 48:01I just knew no one told me abortion was wrong.
- 48:04I just knew no one told me these things.
- 48:06I just, it's written in the heart.
- 48:07Yeah, it's written in the hearts.
- 48:08The, the, the laws in our hearts.
- 48:11So I say foundationally place your faith in Jesus because I
- 48:13think there lies the, the, the, the will desire change.
- 48:19And then I would say get around people that are different than
- 48:22you, that are maybe a season of life than you.
- 48:25And I say for most men, I think they need to develop and become
- 48:30the priest, the provider and protective of their home, right?
- 48:33So a priest, provider, protector, if we're looking at
- 48:36David, David was a warrior and a worshipper, right?
- 48:40So it's not this, I just need to be this, it's all the above.
- 48:43Become yes, be competent, be strong, lift, go workout, go
- 48:47fire guns. If you want to learn how to do
- 48:49that, like all of that is great. Develop useful skills, be able
- 48:54to to earn, be able to provide for your family.
- 48:57I this is statistics. And then some people get really
- 49:00triggered when I talk about this, but Gallup did a study and
- 49:02they surveyed working moms with kids under 18 and they found out
- 49:06that working moms with kids under 18, that 56% of them would
- 49:11have preferred to stay home and raise their kids had they been
- 49:14given an option to 56%. At least, by the way.
- 49:19So we scaled that number down to kids attended under 5 and under,
- 49:22right? And that's a lot of women that
- 49:24are like who are going to have that are like, I'd rather just
- 49:27be a mom for a couple years. I want to just kind of hang on
- 49:30my babies. So if you know, if we know that
- 49:33these not conservative women, these are pro-life women, these
- 49:35are Christian women, right? These are just women.
- 49:38Be the type of man that has a useful skill set that can
- 49:41provide for your wife so that she can stay home with the kids
- 49:44if she chooses to do so. And guess what?
- 49:46Most women will probably choose to do so if they have the
- 49:48opportunity. I'll stick in a caveat there
- 49:50'cause this is my experience and a lot of my friends experience
- 49:52is that, you know, not having to work, but getting to do some
- 49:57work as a way to contribute, use your skills, your talents, but
- 50:02not having the burden of the, you know, the 8:00 to 5:00 or
- 50:06the 8:00 to 6:00 and making sure that you're the breadwinner.
- 50:09And I think that's a tremendous difference where you can have
- 50:13that flourishing home life where you still doing, maybe doing
- 50:16that side hustle or that job, but it's not like you are
- 50:19worried about we're not going to make ends meet tomorrow.
- 50:22Like that is a privilege for a woman and a family to be in.
- 50:26Unfortunately, it's a privilege today because of the way the
- 50:28economy is and most families needing to double incomes.
- 50:31But I think that's a beautiful thing is like, find a way to be
- 50:34be the primary breadwinner so that she's she's not when she's
- 50:38pulling back on her hours or taking time off or, you know,
- 50:41turning it down or or quitting that full time position.
- 50:44She's not worried about are we going to have food on the table
- 50:47or a place to live. And my wife was the one who
- 50:53because of some of these things you just described, she was able
- 50:57as a, as a stay at home mom to have when I, when I, when my son
- 51:00was 6, to have the vision and tell me, hey, I think you should
- 51:04quit your job and pursue this entrepreneurial thing because of
- 51:07the stability that you talked about.
- 51:08We had six months of living expenses.
- 51:09I knew worst case scenario, I can go drive for Uber or Lyft
- 51:12and we're just going to go for this thing.
- 51:14And this financially is the best thing we've ever done.
- 51:16So I think what you just described is what a lot of
- 51:20people are wrestling with and they don't know how to figure
- 51:22that out. And I think to this day, I mean,
- 51:24my wife, she does this amazing kids choir production thing
- 51:28every Wednesday night where these kids do these like plays
- 51:30in church. She gets to volunteer and do
- 51:32that. She works a couple hours a week
- 51:34remotely as a designer, graphic designer.
- 51:36That was her full time job before.
- 51:38So she still has a ton of autonomy and she can still do
- 51:40stuff. And and then she also keeps
- 51:41track of all of our payroll and all of our books and all of
- 51:45works with our. Accounting manager she.
- 51:47Yeah. I mean, she really keeps things,
- 51:49operations, operations going in terms of the accounting side.
- 51:52And so I think knowing that women want some autonomy, but
- 51:57also knowing that they probably are going to want to stay home
- 51:59with the kids. They want flexibility, they want
- 52:00flexibility and they want time. They want their time back.
- 52:02Yeah. And so they.
- 52:03Can be with their kids more. Yeah.
- 52:05And so with that, if you know, this is how most women and
- 52:09amusing generalities are and is not, of course there's caveats.
- 52:12Of course there's women like I want to, I get back to my thing,
- 52:15right? Cool.
- 52:16So become the become a provider, become someone that has a scarce
- 52:19skill set that is valued in the marketplace.
- 52:21Something either around tech, around storytelling, around
- 52:25sales or true collar jobs is I know plumbers making multiple 6
- 52:29figures running plumbing businesses, right?
- 52:31There's a lot of things out there.
- 52:32It's just it's just hard. It's hard.
- 52:35Most people don't want to do it. And then the last part I would
- 52:37say is be the priest. If someone that's the priest of
- 52:39their home, he's going to be tender.
- 52:42He's going to know to, to when to be stoic and when to be
- 52:45vulnerable. He's going to know he's going to
- 52:48go process his junk and his trauma from his childhood like I
- 52:51had to, and go sit down with a Christian therapist and work
- 52:53through all these issues. So priest, provider protector, I
- 52:58think, I think that would be my prescription.
- 52:59And basically what I, what a lot of what we talk about is,
- 53:01listen, you know, if you want to, if you want this life like
- 53:05you're going to as a man, you're going to have to figure out how
- 53:06to go from the bottom 80% to the top 20%.
- 53:10And if it was easy, everybody would do it.
- 53:11But it's not. And it's a multifaceted thing.
- 53:14And so. Here's a question.
- 53:17Do you think that you said the bottom 80% of the top 20?
- 53:21I have an idea on this, but I want to hear you first.
- 53:24Do you think that if everybody was inspired and courage, you
- 53:29know, obviously we hope everyone comes to know Jesus Christ, but
- 53:33everyone is going that direction in sincerity and having good
- 53:36direction. Like you're providing and
- 53:37saying, listen, I'm going to try to, you know, work to have the
- 53:40best skills possible and deal with my trauma and try to be the
- 53:43best man or the best woman I can do.
- 53:45But we're talking specifically about men.
- 53:47There's not like only a 20% of them that can succeed.
- 53:51It's not a 0 sum game where only a few get to win and 80% will
- 53:55always fail. It's that actually we can
- 53:58rebuild the economy and rebuild our communities where we're all
- 54:02winners. I mean, what do you, what do you
- 54:03think about? That that's a great point, I.
- 54:06Because I do think there's a competitiveness that says some
- 54:09are always going to be losers. Yeah, I don't know.
- 54:12I honestly don't know. I've thought about this and I've
- 54:13wrestled with this because you see it again.
- 54:16I'm not trying to make like theological saying, but you see
- 54:18Jesus saying stuff like the poor will always be among you, right?
- 54:22They're like there's these, there's there's a people are
- 54:26broken, people are sinful, people are are struggling.
- 54:30And I don't know if like we could all be middle class, upper
- 54:33middle class. I don't know how that works,
- 54:34right? I think somebody somewhere will
- 54:36always have to do some sort of service job and some sort of,
- 54:39you know, but I think to what you're getting at is maybe those
- 54:42become more seasonal. Maybe the people that are doing
- 54:45the McDonald's flipping fries in McDonald's, right?
- 54:47It's like view just like, Oh my gosh, but maybe those jobs
- 54:51become something you do until you're 1819 and then you pivot,
- 54:54you go develop some sort of skill or some sort of trade.
- 54:57And then by the time you're in your 20s and your 30s, that's
- 54:59when you're starting to get closer to six figures and have
- 55:02the type of life where your wife can stay home, you go travel
- 55:05occasionally take a vacation, have kids.
- 55:07So I think it's possible. I'm not that I'm not that much
- 55:12of A like a macro economist to know if that's like how that
- 55:15will flesh out. And then I, I also like, I also
- 55:19tend to be a bit more like cynical of people.
- 55:22Like I think people left to their own devices are going to
- 55:25drift and do some gnarly. Things I agree, I think I think
- 55:29you're right. The poor, just like death, will
- 55:30always be with us. We're all going to die, that's a
- 55:33fact. And there will always be
- 55:35calamities that may strike, right, Like tragedies that may
- 55:38strike, illness that may strike, disability that may strike,
- 55:41accidents that may strike. And so in that sense, poverty
- 55:44does come and can come in different ways.
- 55:47But I think the idea is generally speaking, we can, I,
- 55:50and I believe this anyways, like we can shift a society towards
- 55:54health, economic health, spiritual health.
- 55:58That is possible if enough people, it's no longer the 20%,
- 56:01it's now the 40% or the 50 or even the 60%.
- 56:04And it's a, it's really a matter of choice.
- 56:06It's a matter of free will. Are we choosing to do the good
- 56:10things and to be and to help one another?
- 56:12Because again, I'm not saying each person on their own can do
- 56:14this by themselves. We do need each other.
- 56:16I just when you say all that, I'm like, yeah, that just sounds
- 56:20very lofty. Let me let me work on the the
- 56:23small. Let's.
- 56:24Get a macro economist in here, we'll suss it out.
- 56:27But even even just like, let me focus.
- 56:29I I want to help the men I have influence over.
- 56:31And if we can get a million, 10 million men to to but I'm.
- 56:36Just saying they're not knocking somebody else out of the 20%.
- 56:38Yeah, I don't think it's zero. I don't think it's a zero or
- 56:41something you're doing you're. Doing like a 21% right, yes,
- 56:44getting those million men in, yes or something.
- 56:46Yes, I, I. Which is awesome.
- 56:48I would love that. I would love that.
- 56:50I don't. I just, I don't know.
- 56:51I don't know how that fleshes out, you know, but I love that.
- 56:54Yeah. I think, I think that I think
- 56:55it's possible. I don't know if it's probable.
- 56:58Sure, you know. Well, I appreciate you just
- 57:00saying that. I think it's possible, but I
- 57:02want it to be true. I mean, I, I, I want everyone to
- 57:05get saved. I want everyone to go to heaven.
- 57:06I want everybody to, to follow Jesus and to defy all the odds
- 57:11and all the, the way I have been, the way my, my wife has
- 57:14been able to, the way we're starting to see these
- 57:16generational things shift in our own families.
- 57:19Like I, I want everybody to experience that.
- 57:21I just, I don't, I don't know how we get there, you know,
- 57:24outside of just consenting for the gospel, persuading people,
- 57:27having good, reasonable conversations, all that kind of
- 57:29stuff. I was doing an interview with
- 57:31Francis Chan and I was saying like, how do we change
- 57:33California? And he was basically like, he
- 57:36kind of said, I don't know. I mean, he said we got to just
- 57:39each individually recognize God as God.
- 57:41And you know, it comes back to the individual and their choices
- 57:44and us trying to be obedient, being faithful because the Strat
- 57:49it's like, how do you mastermind a strategy to save civilization?
- 57:52Yep, kind of have to start with the building blocks and each do
- 57:55our own part. Well, I think it's a combination
- 57:58of living out the principles that we say we live out, right,
- 58:02and communicating that we're living them out in a persuasive
- 58:06way. And I think that could be tricky
- 58:08for us. So one of the gripes that I
- 58:11often hear and when my friend sat me down about, am I now
- 58:15French right, because I'm pro-life or whatever.
- 58:17So like, I've always been pro-life.
- 58:18Like is, he said, well, why are the people who are the most
- 58:22vocal about the pro-life thing? Why don't we ever see them
- 58:25adopting kids? Why don't we ever see them
- 58:27caring for single mothers? Why don't we ever see them doing
- 58:29this and doing that? And I said, well, statistically,
- 58:32they're actually way more likely to her top kids.
- 58:34Statistically practicing people of faith are doubt more than
- 58:38double the rate of adopting kids than people who aren't
- 58:40practicing people of faith. You there's a ton of work being
- 58:44done and there's a lot of resources and said, well, the
- 58:47lady next to me works for some pro-life Resource Center and she
- 58:50her marriage is terrible and she's this and she's that.
- 58:51And I'm like, OK, well, that's your anecdotal example.
- 58:53If we're looking at the data, we pull the data out is actually
- 58:57the the people of faith who are adopting and caring for the
- 58:59single moms and doing all these, the pregnancy resource centers,
- 59:02all these different things. So my question then becomes how
- 59:06do we share that in a persuasive way at scale, right?
- 59:10And how do we, Well, I think, I think media, I think media, I
- 59:13think having these conversations, I think, I think
- 59:15there's the statistics aspect of it, but I think it's like people
- 59:18seeing what, what is available to a woman if she's like in
- 59:24this, like, dude, I'm, I'm, I got raped.
- 59:26I don't, what am I going to do? I don't know, I don't know
- 59:28family, what do we do, right? And I think it's like showing
- 59:30that there are people out here that are caring for the least of
- 59:32these and really attempting this.
- 59:35And and then again, and then there's a statistic aspect,
- 59:37which is most women who do get raped still keep the baby,
- 59:40right, which is something people don't know.
- 59:41So it's like you, you, there's a, there's many ways to
- 59:45communicate this and show this. And I think imagination through
- 59:49capturing imagination through narrative and storytelling, I
- 59:51think is super powerful. And I want to see that, which I
- 59:54think is why would you guys do is important.
- 59:56Like watching your guys's Instagram content has been
- 59:58amazing where you're like, it's like these really good condensed
- 1:00:01stories, right walk up. How do you feel about the?
- 1:00:05Pro-life, pro-choice. Well, I'm pro-choice, but I
- 1:00:06would never have OK, this is what this this looks like,
- 1:00:09right? This is what the procedure looks
- 1:00:10like and it petrified. Well, no.
- 1:00:12And then boom, they're most of them are persuaded and it's a
- 1:00:15great narrative and it's right. So I think like that's the sort
- 1:00:18of stuff that I think can persuade people.
- 1:00:21And I think that that has to has to be both has to be both logic
- 1:00:24and and heart and passion. And sometimes, if we're, if I'm
- 1:00:28being honest, like Christians and conservatives, we don't do
- 1:00:31the best job of the heart part, right, which just facts over
- 1:00:36feelings you need to know. And I think that's why, again,
- 1:00:39what you guys do is, is brilliant, but also like Matt
- 1:00:41Walsh's what is a woman documented because it humanizes
- 1:00:45and and shows you like, here's the consequences of of this and
- 1:00:48why aren't we platforming to detransitioners and why aren't
- 1:00:50we talking about this? And then when we humanize these
- 1:00:52things, it becomes really powerful.
- 1:00:54I had a girl on which I'd actually really love you love
- 1:00:56for you to connect with. She's a, she was a elite level
- 1:01:00athlete in track and field and she got pregnant and she kept
- 1:01:04the baby and she was able to, to go on and do more.
- 1:01:09And she thought this was the end of her career.
- 1:01:10Yeah, she's, she's amazing. She's one of my friends.
- 1:01:13And I interviewed her and I and I was like, OK, like I can tell
- 1:01:18them the facts about the, the pro-life position.
- 1:01:20I, I could do it in a persuade. I could dunk on the lips.
- 1:01:22I could dunk all the all the goofy people that like just
- 1:01:25saying stupid stuff, right? But let me bring on someone
- 1:01:28that's a young black girl who kept the baby and went even
- 1:01:33higher up in her career that it doesn't have to be this false
- 1:01:36binary. And she shared a story and it
- 1:01:38was very eloquent and it was great.
- 1:01:39And so she is a single mom on TikTok persuading people about
- 1:01:46keeping their kids amazing. And it's a net, right?
- 1:01:48It's a narrative like we need more people like that.
- 1:01:50And she's an elite level athlete.
- 1:01:52Like she's, she's she. In California.
- 1:01:54Yeah, she's she's actually not too far from her.
- 1:01:56Yeah. I'll connect you guys.
- 1:01:57She's great. Love to talk to you.
- 1:01:58Yeah. She's probably like maybe an
- 1:01:59hour from here. Yeah.
- 1:02:00Well, we're having Chloe Cole come here in a couple weeks.
- 1:02:03She's the girl from Oakland area, California, and she had
- 1:02:07the double mastectomy at like 15 because she had gender dysphoria
- 1:02:11and they just mutilated her basically.
- 1:02:14And now she's a detransitioner. She's amazing, She's beautiful.
- 1:02:16She's sharing her story everywhere.
- 1:02:17But you, you hear someone like that, you hear her story, you
- 1:02:20hear a story of your friend, you know, choosing life for her baby
- 1:02:23and, and still going on to be a competitive athlete.
- 1:02:25And you're just it, it does. It destroys the narrative from
- 1:02:29the from the opposing side who's pushing these these dark things.
- 1:02:32And and and and again, the opposing side often does better
- 1:02:36with narrative. They just tell stories better.
- 1:02:39You know, that they can speak to the emotional aspect and tell
- 1:02:42stories better often times. But I think, I think, I think
- 1:02:47voices like yours and women speak.
- 1:02:49You said it's good, it's good that we have men in the space.
- 1:02:51I think the frustrating thing about being a man who's pro-life
- 1:02:53is like, shut up. We want a woman on.
- 1:02:56You should have a woman on right now.
- 1:02:57And I'm like, OK, like you want me just to fly in just to rent?
- 1:03:01Like which woman 'cause if I bring on a girl that's super
- 1:03:04pro-life who's black and had a baby as a teenager and then went
- 1:03:07on to do it. Oh well, no, she's not right.
- 1:03:09Like which woman? What do you what do you guys
- 1:03:11want? So I think that the cool part is
- 1:03:12like watching your stuff and you debated Brenda from Goddess
- 1:03:17Grey. And I think I actually think
- 1:03:20more women saying these things, it makes it easy for guys like
- 1:03:24me that can say, well actually there's a lot of women that feel
- 1:03:26this way. Actually, most pro-life
- 1:03:28advocates are women. Most of the pro-life
- 1:03:31organizations like we're on, I'm on a text thread with a bunch of
- 1:03:34pro-life women leaders of national organizations and it's
- 1:03:37like 7-8 ladies and we're all like, you know, texting about
- 1:03:40stuff. And it's, I mean, not to say
- 1:03:42there aren't organizations led by men, but it is it is mostly
- 1:03:45women. Yeah.
- 1:03:46What do you think people in my position are people who are
- 1:03:49influential or people who are closeted pro-life?
- 1:03:53There's a lot of closeted pro-life.
- 1:03:54People there are, it's so true. It's.
- 1:03:56So weird. And I'm like, well.
- 1:03:57It's just they need, they just need to see an opportunity to
- 1:03:59not get crushed by the opposing narrative because they're just,
- 1:04:02it's a fear thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:04:04So so you think it's just I got, how do we persuade those people?
- 1:04:08Because I got a lot of friends that like even my buddy who sat
- 1:04:10me down, I'm not saying abortion's OK.
- 1:04:12I'm not saying it's abortion. He's like your tone and.
- 1:04:15Honestly, I think the only way is more and better content
- 1:04:19become the media, become the narrative, like just speak,
- 1:04:23speak, speak, do better, do more, do better, do more like so
- 1:04:26live action we're like aggressively growing.
- 1:04:28I'm starting this thing called GTB media, goodness, truth,
- 1:04:30beauty media, doing stuff. You're doing your stuff.
- 1:04:33Like we all just need to keep doing stuff and try to do it
- 1:04:36better and more lovingly and better stories.
- 1:04:39And because that's going to ultimately give other people
- 1:04:43courage in the end. And your friend, you got under
- 1:04:45his skin, he's listening. That's huge.
- 1:04:49And give it a few years. Maybe eventually we'll come
- 1:04:51around. There's enough, enough people
- 1:04:53speaking out. Have you, have you guys faced a
- 1:04:56lot of resistance towards all this stuff?
- 1:04:58Yeah, yeah, there's a lot of, I mean, yeah, I mean, there's a
- 1:05:03look at California especially, right?
- 1:05:05The politics in the state are crazy and there are some really
- 1:05:10just very zealous angry people on the pro abortion side.
- 1:05:14And then the institutions, you know, media, media groups today
- 1:05:17and tech companies today and big business, a lot of big
- 1:05:21businesses today. Obviously the Democratic Party
- 1:05:23today is very pro abortion, but I don't think the vision that
- 1:05:28they have to share is ultimately bringing people happiness or
- 1:05:32meaning. That's why people are so
- 1:05:33miserable. Like the the current modern diet
- 1:05:36diet of media and like worldview is making people sick,
- 1:05:39literally. And so people I think are
- 1:05:42looking for something different. And that's why people like you
- 1:05:44who is growing a lot, you know, you're growing on YouTube.
- 1:05:47So many others are growing in media.
- 1:05:49Other voices are out there influencing people that are
- 1:05:51alternative, you could say from the, you know, the prevailing
- 1:05:54talking points of leftism. I don't know.
- 1:05:56You want to call it that. They're interesting to people
- 1:05:58because people are looking. Do you think there's a shift
- 1:06:00happening? I do and it starts shifts always
- 1:06:03surprise you, but they're like 1520 years in the making.
- 1:06:06You know, there's no overnight made star.
- 1:06:08There's not like that doesn't happen.
- 1:06:10It actually was decades in the making.
- 1:06:12And I think that's happening right now.
- 1:06:13And I do think revival obviously is key.
- 1:06:17I, I mean, just this past Easter, so many people came into
- 1:06:21the Catholic Church. You know, public figures came
- 1:06:23into the Catholic Church. A bunch of, you know, people
- 1:06:25that I know came into the church.
- 1:06:26I mean, it was amazing. Like the churches were full of
- 1:06:29people just becoming Catholic, becoming entering the church.
- 1:06:33How do you guys deal with some of the more pro-choice voices
- 1:06:39that proclaim to be Catholic? So Biden, Pelosi, right, one of
- 1:06:45the guys didn't want to give her communion.
- 1:06:47Even AOC she's she was like raised Catholic.
- 1:06:51But she's not like a Rep in it like I.
- 1:06:53I don't know that she's practicing, but yeah, I mean, I
- 1:06:56think Biden says he goes to Mass, and I think Pelosi says
- 1:06:59she goes to mass every Sunday. So how does that work?
- 1:07:01It doesn't work. No, but I mean like this does.
- 1:07:03Does does anyone ever pull them to the side?
- 1:07:05Yeah, like so Archbishop Salvatore Cordlioni in San
- 1:07:09Francisco actually saw that, said to said to Pelosi.
- 1:07:14You cannot come to present yourself for communion.
- 1:07:16Yeah. So they're getting censured.
- 1:07:18They're getting. People are, but they don't
- 1:07:20really care. I mean, unfortunately there's a
- 1:07:22cultural Catholicism that doesn't really care.
- 1:07:25So we got to do an episode too. Just on all that.
- 1:07:28Yeah. On all the.
- 1:07:29Yeah, no, it's it's fascinating. I remember seeing it and I was
- 1:07:31like, good for him. Yeah, that was great.
- 1:07:33That was great. But yeah, I wrestle with that
- 1:07:35because I think evange, like evangelicals tend to know, like
- 1:07:39we know, like, OK, but I think they're afraid.
- 1:07:42Like they're legitimately afraid to be like, dude, this is wrong.
- 1:07:48I don't. I don't care.
- 1:07:50And the. One point percent chance that
- 1:07:52this and this happened and these are, this is wrong.
- 1:07:55It's objectively wrong, but and it does seem like if I'm looking
- 1:07:58at the data, it does seem like there's a shift in terms of most
- 1:08:00people, you know, most people are like like 12 weeks yuck, you
- 1:08:05know, but that isn't represented in how the policy is being
- 1:08:08written. Because if it was then, and and
- 1:08:10this is not me speaking in a moral sense, this is me speaking
- 1:08:12in a pragmatic sense, then our policies would look similar to
- 1:08:15Europe where there's like these snarly but abortion in the first
- 1:08:19trimester is just as bad as any other.
- 1:08:21Trimester, that's what I'm speaking.
- 1:08:22Pragmatic. No.
- 1:08:23But I, I, I, I hear, I. Hear what you're saying?
