Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome. It is Verdict with Ted Cruz week in Review
- 0:03Speaker 1: Ben Ferguson with you, and we had some major stories
- 0:05Speaker 1: that you may have missed that we talked about this week.
- 0:07Speaker 1: First up, remember the famous Maryland Man, the Maryland Father,
- 0:11Speaker 1: that the DIMS demanded be brought back to America. Well,
- 0:15Speaker 1: he's coming back to America to face human trafficking charges.
- 0:18Speaker 1: We'll have those details on that in just a moment. Also,
- 0:21Speaker 1: the media is trying to convince you that what you're
- 0:24Speaker 1: watching on TV is not writing. No, it's just peaceful.
- 0:28Speaker 1: Don't believe you're lying eyes. We call them out and
- 0:31Speaker 1: we've got the proof of exactly what they're saying and
- 0:33Speaker 1: how it's wrong. And finally, Center Cruz talked to the
- 0:37Speaker 1: ambassador from Israel moments after the attack on Iran. What
- 0:41Speaker 1: did he have to say? We'll break all that down
- 0:44Speaker 1: for you. It's the Weekend Review and it starts right now.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Democrats have been obsessed with the Maryland Father, the Maryland
- 0:51Speaker 1: man who just happened to get deported, who was an
- 0:54Speaker 1: illegal immigrant, who was caught human smuggling through my home
- 0:57Speaker 1: state of Tennessee, and they like it never happened. And
- 1:02Speaker 1: now all of a sudden, We're like, they were demanding
- 1:04Speaker 1: you bring him home, bring him back to America. Well,
- 1:06Speaker 1: guess what, the dude's coming home.
- 1:08Speaker 2: He is indeed, and he has been brought to be prosecuted.
- 1:15Speaker 2: He has been indicted. He has been indicted for human trafficking.
- 1:19Speaker 1: Wait, I thought he was just a Maryland dad, not
- 1:21Speaker 1: a human trafficker.
- 1:22Speaker 2: Well, I will tell you. I'm holding the indictment in
- 1:24Speaker 2: my hand and it is stunning. So how long was
- 1:28Speaker 2: he a human trafficker? Well, according to the indictment, from
- 1:32Speaker 2: inn Or around twenty sixteen through in Or around twenty
- 1:37Speaker 2: twenty five, So for nine years.
- 1:39Speaker 1: That's a pretty good career.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Kilmar Armando Abrego, Garcia and others known and unknown to
- 1:47Speaker 2: the Grand Jury conspired to bring undocumented aliens to the
- 1:50Speaker 2: United States from countries such as Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Ecuador,
- 1:55Speaker 2: and elsewhere, ultimately passing through Mexico before crossing into Texas.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Very nice they came into Texas. The co conspirators knew
- 2:03Speaker 2: the undocumented aliens did not possess authorization to enter the
- 2:07Speaker 2: United States. They used cell phones, they used social media applications.
- 2:13Speaker 2: The indictment also alleged Kilmar Armando Abredo Garcia was a
- 2:19Speaker 2: citizen of El Salvador, was not a United States citizen,
- 2:23Speaker 2: was living in the United States, and was also a
- 2:27Speaker 2: member and associate of the transnational criminal organization MS thirteen.
- 2:35Speaker 1: No, he's a dad. Hold on a second, you can't
- 2:38Speaker 1: say that this is just a Maryland dude, Maryland dad,
- 2:40Speaker 1: Maryland man.
- 2:42Speaker 2: And by the way, they accurately describe MS thirteen. MS
- 2:45Speaker 2: thirteen was a criminal enterprise engaged in, among other activities,
- 2:50Speaker 2: acts and threats involving murder, extortion, narcotics, trafficking, firearms trafficking,
- 2:55Speaker 2: alien smuggling, and money laundering. MS thirteen operated throughout North
- 3:00Speaker 2: and Central America, including in Ol salvad Or, Guatemalca, Mexico,
- 3:03Speaker 2: the United States, including in Texas, Maryland, New York, Tennessee,
- 3:06Speaker 2: and elsewhere. Now, how many illegal aliens do you think
- 3:13Speaker 2: he's charged with smuggling?
- 3:14Speaker 1: I'm assuming zero because he's just a Maryland man. He's
- 3:17Speaker 1: just a Maryland dad.
- 3:18Speaker 2: He's a Maryland dad. I want to read this paragraph.
- 3:23Speaker 2: Kilmar Armando Abrego Garcia, as detailed further below, used his
- 3:28Speaker 2: status in MS thirteen to further his criminal activity.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Right, not as a father or dad, as a MS
- 3:36Speaker 1: thirteen gang member.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Over the course of the conspiracy, the co conspirators knowingly
- 3:44Speaker 2: and unlawfully transported wait for it, thousands of undocumented aliens,
- 3:53Speaker 2: many of whom were MS thirteen members and associates.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So you're bringing in people that are now member of
- 4:00Speaker 1: a terrorist organization into the country. So not just random
- 4:04Speaker 1: buel pang. He was smuggling and members of the town
- 4:07Speaker 1: organization in the United States America for not one year,
- 4:10Speaker 1: not two, not three, not four, not five years, but
- 4:12Speaker 1: nine years.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Yes, and and and look, the fact that DOJ brought
- 4:17Speaker 2: this indictment means presumably they have the evidence to prove
- 4:21Speaker 2: this indictment. They're going to put on that evidence. They're
- 4:23Speaker 2: going to put on that that that evidence that this
- 4:25Speaker 2: guy was a gang member for for nine years, that
- 4:29Speaker 2: that that he was part of a conspiracy that smuggled
- 4:32Speaker 2: thousands of people illegally, including other gang members.
- 4:37Speaker 1: You think the media is gonna apologize for another stories.
- 4:39Speaker 1: So we're attacking Trump and saying that he just sent
- 4:41Speaker 1: a Maryland dad, a Maryland man.
- 4:43Speaker 2: And understand, this is the same the same illegal immigrant
- 4:47Speaker 2: that my colleague Chris Van Holland, Democrat from Maryland flew
- 4:52Speaker 2: down and had really what was a very sweet margarita
- 4:56Speaker 2: with I mean it was a Broman.
- 4:58Speaker 1: It was a moment.
- 4:59Speaker 2: It was a bro moment, you know, as I tweeted
- 5:03Speaker 2: out at the time, you know, find somebody who looks
- 5:06Speaker 2: at you the way Democrats look at illegal alien MS
- 5:09Speaker 2: thirteen gang members, like the sweet nothings in his eyes
- 5:15Speaker 2: as he looked on. And by the way, you saw
- 5:17Speaker 2: Democrat house members, you know, all on a parade to
- 5:21Speaker 2: go down there.
- 5:21Speaker 1: They wanted to use your tax dollars to go see
- 5:23Speaker 1: the Maryland man.
- 5:24Speaker 2: This is the face of the Democrat Party. This is
- 5:27Speaker 2: who they stand for. So look, you ought to ask
- 5:29Speaker 2: yourself at home, am I an MS thirteen gang member,
- 5:33Speaker 2: who's a human trafficker who smuggles in thousands of aliens,
- 5:37Speaker 2: who smuggles in gang members? If so the Democrats of
- 5:41Speaker 2: the party for me, If you're not, if you kind
- 5:44Speaker 2: of think we don't want human traffickers and gang members
- 5:47Speaker 2: in America, well then I don't know what the Democrats is.
- 5:50Speaker 1: This like the ultimate FAFO like moment because for Democrats,
- 5:54Speaker 1: and I want people to understand the funniest part of
- 5:56Speaker 1: the story, Democrats demanded we bring him back. He's coming back,
- 6:01Speaker 1: gonna go to jail for a long time, and then
- 6:03Speaker 1: after he served his time, apparently we're gonna send him
- 6:06Speaker 1: right back to the country where he just came from.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It didn't just go from bad to worse, like he
- 6:11Speaker 1: would have been better off just staying where he was.
- 6:13Speaker 1: Look a Democrats actually are putting this man in.
- 6:15Speaker 2: Jail, and these facts, the facts that prove he was
- 6:19Speaker 2: a human trafficker, the facts and evidence that DJ is
- 6:22Speaker 2: gonna put on. I hope and believe the American people
- 6:25Speaker 2: need to know those facts because they need to know. Look,
- 6:28Speaker 2: we've already in this podcast cover how the guy is
- 6:30Speaker 2: allegedly a wife beater, that he has a long history
- 6:34Speaker 2: of criminality. We played the audio of him being caught
- 6:38Speaker 2: human trafficking, but at the time we didn't know that
- 6:42Speaker 2: there was a decade worth of thousands of people being trafficked,
- 6:47Speaker 2: including other gang members.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Call for what you wish for, right and.
- 6:51Speaker 2: By the way, to understand, Look, I don't know specifically
- 6:56Speaker 2: what this gang member did, but I'll tell you Ms. Thirteen.
- 6:59Speaker 2: When they are human trafficking, they are raping women, They
- 7:02Speaker 2: are raping children, they are abusing women and children that
- 7:07Speaker 2: they are abusing little boys, little girls.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They're soul lists. They do not care about human life.
- 7:14Speaker 2: Are here it is MS thirteen is evil and in
- 7:19Speaker 2: Texas we see the atrocities they carry out. I fully
- 7:23Speaker 2: expect the evidence that comes out in this trial to
- 7:26Speaker 2: be nothing short of horrifying. And I got to say,
- 7:29Speaker 2: if you're a Democrat and you've decided the entire future
- 7:34Speaker 2: of your party is defending this guy, yeah, you know
- 7:38Speaker 2: what's weird, Ben, I'm not sure the Democrats.
- 7:40Speaker 1: Are worried right now. I don't think they are.
- 7:42Speaker 2: I mean, that's the strangest thing is in the face
- 7:46Speaker 2: of this.
- 7:46Speaker 1: There used to be in politics moments where you knew
- 7:48Speaker 1: you screwed up, were even your party. Look, they're all
- 7:51Speaker 1: in in California and still on defending this guy.
- 7:54Speaker 2: Their position is is that one Democrat congresswoman said, law
- 7:58Speaker 2: enforcement get the f out. That's their message. No cops,
- 8:02Speaker 2: no ICEN, open border patrol. We don't defend We don't
- 8:05Speaker 2: defend California. We don't known know Americays, but gang members
- 8:08Speaker 2: and murderers europeeps.
- 8:10Speaker 1: Amazing. Now, if you want to hear the rest of
- 8:13Speaker 1: this conversation. You can go back and listen to the
- 8:15Speaker 1: full podcast from earlier this week. Now onto story number two.
- 8:20Speaker 1: None of what you said can be true because I
- 8:24Speaker 1: have a montage of the media is saying that what
- 8:26Speaker 1: you just described is a lie. It's not rioting, it's
- 8:31Speaker 1: not looting, it's not burning of police cars. Here's the
- 8:35Speaker 1: media saying you're just wrong.
- 8:37Speaker 3: The La County Police say that they have it under control.
- 8:42Speaker 3: Caring a flag is not illegal. As you know, what
- 8:46Speaker 3: did happen in nineteen ninety two was so different from
- 8:49Speaker 3: what we're seeing now. I mean, that was.
- 8:53Speaker 1: A real riot.
- 8:54Speaker 4: Video after video has shown that these agents are the
- 8:58Speaker 4: ones provoking protesters and also making up, you know, aggression
- 9:04Speaker 4: by these protesters, and later video shows people were not aggressive.
- 9:09Speaker 5: We are having an administration that's targeting peaceful protests, people
- 9:13Speaker 5: that are there at protests. The president is sitting in
- 9:15Speaker 5: the National Guard because he doesn't like the scenes. He
- 9:18Speaker 5: doesn't like the scenes of people peacefully protesting.
- 9:21Speaker 4: Unrest is isolated. La has homed to millions of people,
- 9:24Speaker 4: most of them are having a normal day here on Sunday.
- 9:27Speaker 3: You know, you've heard reports that there are riots on
- 9:29Speaker 3: the streets of Los Angeles. That is not what's happening
- 9:31Speaker 3: across the city of Los Angeles.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Covenson's right, there was anything like a riot happening on
- 9:36Speaker 4: Friday Saturday, and we just.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Witnessed protester thanking a National Guardsman for his service.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Here in California, lapd By most estimates, had this under
- 9:46Speaker 4: control last night.
- 9:48Speaker 2: No, I don't think the National Guard is needed now.
- 9:51Speaker 1: Things in La are called.
- 9:53Speaker 2: There was a protest that got a little unruly late
- 9:56Speaker 2: at night.
- 9:57Speaker 1: There have been no violence where anybody that was protesting hit, anybody, shot, anybody,
- 10:04Speaker 1: threatening anybody.
- 10:05Speaker 5: Nothing.
- 10:07Speaker 1: What is just a bunch of people having fun watching
- 10:10Speaker 1: cars burn.
- 10:11Speaker 2: Most of those demonstrators were very peaceful.
- 10:13Speaker 3: They were chanting, they were shining, people were driving by
- 10:16Speaker 3: fonking their horns.
- 10:18Speaker 1: I mean, that's just normal life out there.
- 10:20Speaker 3: You know.
- 10:20Speaker 2: They were just having fun watching cars burn. You know,
- 10:22Speaker 2: you know, that's just that's just good old fashion entertainment.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Like get out your popcorn, you know, light some police
- 10:29Speaker 2: cars on fire.
- 10:30Speaker 1: You know, DC next time you and I are just
- 10:33Speaker 1: hanging out, you know, we we should just maybe just
- 10:36Speaker 1: I don't know, find a car and just set on
- 10:37Speaker 1: fire and watch it burn. We're not doing the illegal.
- 10:40Speaker 1: Everything's fine.
- 10:42Speaker 2: So to to give you a sense of just how
- 10:45Speaker 2: how much propaganda the media is desperately trying to spend,
- 10:49Speaker 2: I'm gonna read you four headlines.
- 10:51Speaker 1: All right.
- 10:52Speaker 2: So this is a headline from the New York Times quote,
- 10:55Speaker 2: the Mexican flag becomes a potent LA protest symbol. Trump
- 10:59Speaker 2: official of cast demonstrators waving the Mexican flag as insurrectionist.
- 11:04Speaker 2: But for many protesters who are Mexican American, the flag
- 11:07Speaker 2: represents pride in their heritage. Now mind you, they're waving
- 11:11Speaker 2: the flags saying, dear God, whatever you do, do not
- 11:14Speaker 2: send me back to Mexico. That is their message. But
- 11:17Speaker 2: apparently it's pride in their heritage. Simultaneously, here's CNN quote,
- 11:22Speaker 2: Trump is acting like an authoritarian. California's crisis now rests
- 11:27Speaker 2: on what he does next. That's CNN nice and objective.
- 11:31Speaker 1: All right.
- 11:32Speaker 2: How about the Washington Post quote, He's waging a war
- 11:37Speaker 2: on us as Trump escalates Angelino's defend their city. Across
- 11:43Speaker 2: this vast metropolis, residents denounce what they consider an attack
- 11:47Speaker 2: on the very fabric of their city, on their neighbors, coworkers,
- 11:52Speaker 2: family members. That's the Washington Post, and finally NPR. NPR, which,
- 11:56Speaker 2: by the way, you and I are paying for every
- 11:58Speaker 2: one of us who listens, is paying for it through
- 12:00Speaker 2: our tax dollars. Here's what NPR says. Quote Trump using
- 12:04Speaker 2: National Guard in la is an abusive power, says national
- 12:09Speaker 2: security expert. That's the media, well, and with the media
- 12:14Speaker 2: doing everything they can to deny the truth, to lie,
- 12:17Speaker 2: to obfuscate, to pretend that this is all peaceful, that
- 12:21Speaker 2: there's no violence, never mind the violence that is unfolding
- 12:24Speaker 2: in front of our eyes. You know, Maxine Waters said,
- 12:26Speaker 2: don't believe your lying eyes. I'm telling you there's no violence.
- 12:29Speaker 2: What is Gavin Newsome doing? Is he protecting the people
- 12:32Speaker 2: of California. No, Instead, he's suing President Trump to stop
- 12:37Speaker 2: the President from protecting the people of California. Gavin Newsom
- 12:42Speaker 2: tweeted out, quote, I have formally requested the Trump administration
- 12:46Speaker 2: rescind their unlawful deployment of troops in Los Angeles County
- 12:49Speaker 2: and return them to my command. We didn't have a
- 12:53Speaker 2: problem until Trump got involved. This is a serious breach
- 12:56Speaker 2: of state sovereignty and flaming tensions while pulling reales from
- 13:00Speaker 2: where they're actually needed rescind the order return control to California.
- 13:06Speaker 2: So Gavin Newsom is not upset that illegal immigrants have
- 13:13Speaker 2: flooded into this country for the last four years across
- 13:16Speaker 2: open borders. He's not upset that murderers, murderers and rapists
- 13:20Speaker 2: and child molesters and gang bangers have been released. He's
- 13:23Speaker 2: not upset that Californians are being murdered, are being violently
- 13:27Speaker 2: assaulted by illegal immigrants. None of that dismays him. He's
- 13:30Speaker 2: not upset at the looting. He's not standing with the
- 13:32Speaker 2: poor small business owners and shop owners whose stores were
- 13:35Speaker 2: destroyed by the violent crime. None of that upsets him. Instead,
- 13:39Speaker 2: Gavin Newsom's problem is damn at. Number one, Trump is
- 13:43Speaker 2: arresting illegals, and where are the Democrats? Where the party
- 13:46Speaker 2: of illegals? And number two, even worse, Trump is sending
- 13:51Speaker 2: in federal officers, sending in the National Guard to keep
- 13:55Speaker 2: communities safe, to protect families, to protect homes. That is
- 14:00Speaker 2: unacceptable because if there's one thing the Democrats stand for
- 14:03Speaker 2: beyond illegal immigrations and crime, it is preventing the police
- 14:07Speaker 2: from doing their job, preventing them from keeping you safe.
- 14:11Speaker 2: I think that really sums up the lunacy of where
- 14:16Speaker 2: the left is today.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Final question on this one. I don't think there's any
- 14:21Speaker 1: near end in sight. I think this is going to
- 14:23Speaker 1: continue to grow. Do you agree?
- 14:26Speaker 2: I do. And let me say we started by saying
- 14:29Speaker 2: this went where we predicted, that this spreads nationally, that
- 14:32Speaker 2: we see these protests and these riots and cities across
- 14:35Speaker 2: the country, and I think we need to follow the money.
- 14:38Speaker 2: And that's certainly what I am urging the President, urging
- 14:41Speaker 2: the Department of Justice to do, is follow the money
- 14:43Speaker 2: and anyone who is funding this. This is just like
- 14:46Speaker 2: the anti Semitic protests on college campuses. By the way,
- 14:49Speaker 2: I suspect it's the same people who funded the anti
- 14:52Speaker 2: Semitic protests, who funded the ANTIFA in Black Lives Matter riots.
- 14:57Speaker 2: It is the same radicals who hate America. Many of
- 15:03Speaker 2: them are openly Marxist. Black Lives Matter is openly Marxist.
- 15:07Speaker 2: They're rabidly anti Israel, They're rabidly anti capitalism, they're rabidly
- 15:11Speaker 2: anti police, they're rabidly anti law and order. They're rabidly
- 15:15Speaker 2: pro criminal, they're rabidly pro violence. But we need to
- 15:18Speaker 2: follow the money and prosecute anyone who is funding riots
- 15:23Speaker 2: across this country. And I hope that's exactly what the
- 15:25Speaker 2: Trump administration does.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, no doubt about it. Before we wrap, I got
- 15:30Speaker 1: to just hit pause and you got a really cool
- 15:33Speaker 1: letter from a kid. This inspires me, It makes me happy.
- 15:38Speaker 1: It reminds me when I got into radio when I
- 15:40Speaker 1: was twelve years old. And I want you to just
- 15:42Speaker 1: tell us about this letter and I want to read
- 15:44Speaker 1: it for everybody listen as a verdict. It's awesome.
- 15:47Speaker 2: Well, listen, I had a member of my staff who
- 15:49Speaker 2: was down in Texas this past week and was at
- 15:53Speaker 2: Fort Cavazos, which actually just got renamed back to Fort
- 15:56Speaker 2: Hood So and he was there for Cavazos and there
- 16:01Speaker 2: was a major who's stationed stationed there who gave him
- 16:05Speaker 2: a letter and gave him a letter. It was a
- 16:07Speaker 2: letter from from his ten year old son. And I'm
- 16:10Speaker 2: going to read it. I'm not going to give you
- 16:12Speaker 2: his his last name, but but but I'm gonna I'm
- 16:14Speaker 2: gonna read the letter that that that I.
- 16:16Speaker 1: Was handed today.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Dear Senator Cruz, my name is Justin and I am
- 16:22Speaker 2: a student at Hill Country Christian School of Austin, and
- 16:25Speaker 2: I am pro God pro life and pro gun, Republican
- 16:29Speaker 2: who loves America, Jesus and politics. I want to write
- 16:33Speaker 2: to you to say thank you for everything you have
- 16:35Speaker 2: done for Texas in America. Uh there's a paragraph that's
- 16:40Speaker 2: really nice and in praising me, which I'm going to
- 16:42Speaker 2: skip because that seems a little self senator to read
- 16:46Speaker 2: a paragraph praising me. But here's the paragraph I wanted.
- 16:48Speaker 2: I wanted every Verdict listener to hear. I listen to
- 16:52Speaker 2: your podcast Verdict every week. I have learned so much
- 16:59Speaker 2: from you about how government works and all the things
- 17:02Speaker 2: you are doing to stop the radical left agenda and
- 17:05Speaker 2: help President Trump pass the America First agenda. You have
- 17:09Speaker 2: helped me to want to be a politician when I'm older.
- 17:13Speaker 2: Thank you for everything you do. Sincerely, justin h ten.
- 17:16Speaker 1: As before, If you want to hear the rest of
- 17:18Speaker 1: this conversation on this topic, you can go back and
- 17:21Speaker 1: dow the podcast from earlier this week to hear the
- 17:24Speaker 1: entire thing. I want to get back to the big
- 17:27Speaker 1: story number three of the week. You may have missed.
- 17:30Speaker 1: One of the things I love about doing the show
- 17:32Speaker 1: center is moments after this attack took place Israel on Iran,
- 17:38Speaker 1: you were actually on the phone with the ambassador from Israel.
- 17:41Speaker 1: What did he tell you about this attack? How long
- 17:44Speaker 1: had they been planning this, What was the final decision
- 17:47Speaker 1: that made this happen in the last several hours.
- 17:51Speaker 2: Well, understand, this show happens real time. It happens real
- 17:55Speaker 2: time in real life. You and I are recording this
- 17:58Speaker 2: early in the morning Friday morning. This podcast will come
- 18:01Speaker 2: out later in the day on Friday. So some of
- 18:02Speaker 2: you will be listening to this on Friday, others of
- 18:05Speaker 2: you will be hearing this on radio on Saturday or Sunday.
- 18:08Speaker 2: And so the world may have changed forty eight hours.
- 18:11Speaker 1: At the time.
- 18:12Speaker 2: When a war is initiating, it is a mountain of time.
- 18:16Speaker 2: What I can tell you is late Thursday night, as
- 18:20Speaker 2: Israel was launching it its attacks, before Iran has engaged
- 18:23Speaker 2: in a counterattack, I was on the phone with the
- 18:28Speaker 2: Israeli ambassador of the United States and he told me
- 18:31Speaker 2: that the attack at least so far, had gone extraordinarily well,
- 18:35Speaker 2: that they'd taken out senior leadership of the IRGC. And
- 18:39Speaker 2: I got to say, by the way, that's a huge
- 18:41Speaker 2: victory for the United States of America. The IRGC has
- 18:45Speaker 2: murdered over six hundred American servicemen and women. They are
- 18:51Speaker 2: grotesquely hostile to the United States, and for Israel to
- 18:55Speaker 2: take them out it is enormous benefit to America. But
- 18:59Speaker 2: at the same time, the Israeli ambassador told me that
- 19:02Speaker 2: the instruction had gone out in Israel to the people
- 19:05Speaker 2: of Israel go to a bomb shelter, either be in
- 19:08Speaker 2: a bomb shelter or be very near a bomb shelter,
- 19:11Speaker 2: because they are anticipating early in the morning Friday morning,
- 19:16Speaker 2: that Iran is going to launch a massive counter attack
- 19:20Speaker 2: with ballistic weapons. And Israel has extensive anti missile defenses,
- 19:27Speaker 2: but Iran has sufficient volume that if they launch everything,
- 19:30Speaker 2: they have the capacity to overwhelm the defenses, and so
- 19:34Speaker 2: there is a very real possibility. The people of Israel
- 19:36Speaker 2: are braced. They understand. Look, look that they're not playing
- 19:41Speaker 2: they're not playing games that they are playing with real stakes.
- 19:45Speaker 2: They're playing with live rounds. The people of Israel understand
- 19:49Speaker 2: right now, as you and I are recording this, that
- 19:52Speaker 2: we may see Israeli's die right now, because Iran has
- 19:56Speaker 2: enough missiles that if they launch them all, there will
- 20:00Speaker 2: the Israeli's murdered in the minutes and hours ahead of us.
- 20:04Speaker 2: But at the same time Prime Minister Netanyah, who made
- 20:07Speaker 2: the decision, It's a decision I agree with. It's a
- 20:09Speaker 2: decision that I think was right, which is the risk
- 20:14Speaker 2: of Israelis dying and of Americans dying if Iran acquires
- 20:19Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon is qualitatively different that we could face.
- 20:24Speaker 2: With an Iranian nuclear weapon, we could face millions murdered.
- 20:29Speaker 2: And so listen, I want to underscore what I said
- 20:33Speaker 2: at the beginning of this podcast. Pray for the people
- 20:36Speaker 2: of Israel and pray for our servicemen and women in
- 20:39Speaker 2: har harm's way, because this is a very very dangerous
- 20:42Speaker 2: time right now.
- 20:43Speaker 1: Well, let's talk about who is targeted and what this
- 20:46Speaker 1: looks like moving forward from the standpoint of Israel. I mean,
- 20:49Speaker 1: the objective here is clearly to put them back when
- 20:52Speaker 1: it comes to their nuclear program, but they also went
- 20:55Speaker 1: after people that were involved in that program, which is
- 20:57Speaker 1: a really big way to move things backwards. Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 2: Look, this was a decapitation strike. It was targeted at
- 21:04Speaker 2: the senior military leaders in Iran. It was targeted at
- 21:08Speaker 2: the nuclear facilities in Iran. It was targeted at the
- 21:12Speaker 2: anti air assault facilities in Iran. It was a very
- 21:18Speaker 2: targeted but massively effective strike. Now Iran is going to
- 21:23Speaker 2: strike back. Understand that that that's not a possibility or
- 21:27Speaker 2: a probability. It is a certainty that Iran will hit back. Now,
- 21:31Speaker 2: what I hope Iran understands is they should not hit
- 21:34Speaker 2: back at America. Hitting back at America would escalate this dramatically.
- 21:40Speaker 2: And I will say the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio,
- 21:44Speaker 2: he put out a statement Thursday night. Let me read
- 21:46Speaker 2: his statement. Quote tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran.
- 21:53Speaker 2: We were not involved in strikes against Iran, and our
- 21:56Speaker 2: top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel
- 22:00Speaker 2: advised us that they believe this action was necessary for
- 22:03Speaker 2: its self defense. President Trump and the administration have taken
- 22:08Speaker 2: all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in
- 22:12Speaker 2: close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear,
- 22:17Speaker 2: Iran should not target US interests or personnel. Now. Look,
- 22:24Speaker 2: I'm glad that the Secretary of State was putting out
- 22:26Speaker 2: that statement defending our servicemen and women. I wish there
- 22:30Speaker 2: had been more in that statement saying we stand with Israel.
- 22:33Speaker 2: That was missing from the statement, and it shouldn't have
- 22:37Speaker 2: been from my perspective, we stand unequivocally with Israel. But
- 22:41Speaker 2: I understand why the Secretary of State didn't do that,
- 22:45Speaker 2: which is that he's concerned that Iran may strike at
- 22:49Speaker 2: US military forces. Now, in my view, the way to
- 22:53Speaker 2: prevent that is not to say to Iran, hey, we
- 22:55Speaker 2: had nothing to do with that, which was the main
- 22:58Speaker 2: theme of the Secretary of State's statement, but rather to say,
- 23:04Speaker 2: if you attack US forces, the consequences will be overwhelming.
- 23:09Speaker 2: I think Iran responds more to stick than the carrot,
- 23:14Speaker 2: but we shall see, and it is any way you
- 23:17Speaker 2: look at it, on unbelievably dangerous time.
- 23:21Speaker 1: Senator, Let's talk about some of the people that have
- 23:23Speaker 1: been taken out here. There's two aspects of these strikes. One,
- 23:28Speaker 1: nuclear scientists are being reported that they were targeted and
- 23:31Speaker 1: have been killed, and that is the brains of the
- 23:34Speaker 1: nuclear program. If you want to stop Iran from doing this,
- 23:38Speaker 1: taking out nuclear scientists is absolutely brilliant. It's the computer system,
- 23:43Speaker 1: the nervous system of everything they're trying to accomplish. That's incredible.
- 23:47Speaker 1: But we also now know from virtually every news agency
- 23:51Speaker 1: is reporting this that the IRGC tear chief Salami has
- 23:55Speaker 1: also been eliminated. That is significant as well.
- 23:59Speaker 2: We now know that Hussein Salami is lunch meat, and
- 24:04Speaker 2: I feel a little cheesy making fun of him, But
- 24:07Speaker 2: then again, the guy is a racist, genocidal, homicidal, lunatic.
- 24:15Speaker 2: So I hope after Salami, beloney and Pastrami both get
- 24:19Speaker 2: eliminated as well. And if you look at the head
- 24:22Speaker 2: of the IRGC, he has responsibility for murdering over six
- 24:29Speaker 2: hundred US servicemen and women. So if you love the
- 24:34Speaker 2: men and women of the Armed Services, if you are
- 24:36Speaker 2: grateful for friends, family, loved ones who have served defending
- 24:40Speaker 2: this nation, then you ought to say tonight to the
- 24:43Speaker 2: nation of Israel, thank you, thank you for taking out
- 24:46Speaker 2: the head of the IRGC that is responsible for murdering
- 24:50Speaker 2: hundreds of American servicemen and women. President Trump, when he
- 24:54Speaker 2: was president the first time, he took out General Solimani,
- 24:59Speaker 2: and now today the Israelis have taken out Salami, a
- 25:04Speaker 2: successor who is the terror chief of the IRGC, and
- 25:09Speaker 2: he is now with his seventy two versions, so that
- 25:11Speaker 2: I will tell you, much to his dismay, those virgins
- 25:14Speaker 2: are all Gomer Pyle and it's not what he hoped for.
- 25:18Speaker 1: I got to say one of the best parts about
- 25:19Speaker 1: this story just side note. If you look up Insaami
- 25:23Speaker 1: on his pages on the Wikipedia, it already says he's
- 25:27Speaker 1: like the former guy in charge of the IRGC. I
- 25:31Speaker 1: love the Internet when they get it right really quickly. Center.
- 25:33Speaker 1: It is amazing to see this moment in history, because
- 25:37Speaker 1: this is a moment in history. And I got to
- 25:39Speaker 1: ask you this, a Ran now is going to respond.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm sure in some way. I'm sure Israel is expecting
- 25:45Speaker 1: that you made it very clear to night America's warning
- 25:49Speaker 1: and from this administration, what happens next and what is
- 25:54Speaker 1: Israel expecting in your mind.
- 25:57Speaker 2: Well, it depends on the escalation. I think it is
- 26:00Speaker 2: one hundred percent certain that Iran will respond by firing
- 26:04Speaker 2: missiles at Israel. Israel gets that, they understand that they're
- 26:07Speaker 2: ready for that. There is some real possibility that Iran
- 26:12Speaker 2: will respond by firing missiles or other weapons at Americans.
- 26:16Speaker 2: And I think if they do that, they will dramatically
- 26:19Speaker 2: escalate this conflict. I think they will provoke. If they
- 26:22Speaker 2: murder American servicemen and women, I think you will see
- 26:25Speaker 2: President Trump respond with devastating force. And so again my
- 26:29Speaker 2: message to the iatola Is do not do that their
- 26:33Speaker 2: response to Israel, I don't know what it will be.
- 26:37Speaker 2: There is a risk that their response is devastating, that
- 26:40Speaker 2: it is overwhelming. They have a massive number of ballistic missiles,
- 26:45Speaker 2: so if they fire them, all the odds are significant
- 26:49Speaker 2: that we will see a very large number of Israelis murdered.
- 26:53Speaker 2: What I'm saying, Prime Minister net Yahoo understands.
- 26:57Speaker 1: He knows that.
- 26:58Speaker 2: He knows that, but by virtue of engaging this attack tonight,
- 27:02Speaker 2: there's a real risk of a significant number of Israelis
- 27:05Speaker 2: being murdered. But he did this because he knows that
- 27:09Speaker 2: if Iran has a nuclear weapon, many many more Israelis
- 27:13Speaker 2: and many many more Americans are at risk of being murdered.
- 27:16Speaker 2: Look the Iatola chance death to America and death to Israel.
- 27:21Speaker 2: I believe he believes that, and so acquiring a nuclear
- 27:26Speaker 2: weapon is not just an academic question. If he gets
- 27:28Speaker 2: a nuclear weapon, I believe he is trying to acquire
- 27:31Speaker 2: one because he wants to carry out his promises of
- 27:35Speaker 2: death to Israel and death to America. And that's precisely
- 27:38Speaker 2: why Israel has launched this attack, to stop him from
- 27:41Speaker 2: getting that capability.
