- 0:52Speaker 1: telling me you gotta turn be hurting them you are
- 1:24Speaker 1: you gotta turn to turn them out, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: out to turn the water the water. Come, come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your baby at it. Uh huh, I sure will a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come on
- 2:06Speaker 1: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 1: radio show. Man, oh man, oh man, God being good
- 2:15Speaker 1: to me. Man. I can't explain it all really, Hey,
- 2:19Speaker 1: you know I want I want to remind everybody or
- 2:21Speaker 1: something that I need reminding of myself all the time.
- 2:25Speaker 1: And I'm I'm dealing with a couple of things now
- 2:29Speaker 1: and I had to remind myself. You know what I
- 2:32Speaker 1: have to remember. I have to constantly remind myself to
- 2:36Speaker 1: stay in constant communication with God. Constant communication with God.
- 2:43Speaker 1: You know sometimes you know, I have a tendency and
- 2:46Speaker 1: maybe we do all the people. I don't know, but
- 2:48Speaker 1: I know for me that when it's going okay, I
- 2:52Speaker 1: slack up in sometimes having conversations with him because I'm
- 2:56Speaker 1: not coming to him on the daily with something that's
- 2:59Speaker 1: pressing us something, and I find myself slacking up in
- 3:02Speaker 1: the communication. Uh. The danger I have learned in that
- 3:07Speaker 1: is this um I think you know. I mean, we've
- 3:11Speaker 1: all heard old people say, you know, you got to
- 3:13Speaker 1: stay prayed up, you know, and prayed up. It's the
- 3:18Speaker 1: operative word that means stacks stacked, prayers up. You know,
- 3:22Speaker 1: prayed up means you know, you you got some stored up.
- 3:26Speaker 1: You just got an abundance of them where you don't.
- 3:28Speaker 1: You're putting it in actually not as a request all
- 3:33Speaker 1: the time, but sometimes just as a matter thank you,
- 3:36Speaker 1: a gratitude. Sometimes it's just, uh, you know, just just
- 3:40Speaker 1: just prayers to get stored up, is basically what I'm saying.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Because what happens is is when you're not in constant
- 3:47Speaker 1: communication with God, when you're not constantly praying doing those
- 3:51Speaker 1: good times, that allows for the enemy to slip in
- 3:57Speaker 1: and do the little things that can be upset it.
- 4:01Speaker 1: It don't have to be nothing big. See, the enemy
- 4:04Speaker 1: comes in with the little things that become upsetting to
- 4:08Speaker 1: us some little things and then the next thing you
- 4:11Speaker 1: know it, you get several little things in a role.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Now you got an issue you dealing with. You find
- 4:18Speaker 1: yourself at odds with your spouse about little bitty little stuff.
- 4:22Speaker 1: You ever noticed that, or your girl or your man,
- 4:25Speaker 1: you find yourself at odds with them about little bitty stuff.
- 4:29Speaker 1: You know, I have to remind myself when it's going
- 4:31Speaker 1: like that, man, Have I really been praying though? Have
- 4:34Speaker 1: I really been in constant communication with God? Because you
- 4:38Speaker 1: know that that helps God against that little bitty stuff
- 4:42Speaker 1: coming in. Sometimes it's big stuff, sometimes it's major stuff.
- 4:46Speaker 1: But I've noticed, man, that when I get on them
- 4:49Speaker 1: more of a smooth plane in life, I have a
- 4:52Speaker 1: tendency to slack up in that department. And that ain't
- 4:56Speaker 1: the time to slack up. I'm really learning that I
- 5:00Speaker 1: have to stay in constant communication with God because it
- 5:04Speaker 1: enables me to ward off those little things that are
- 5:09Speaker 1: you know, coming up that can get in the way.
- 5:13Speaker 1: And so I just wanted to make you aware of
- 5:16Speaker 1: that as I'm learning it myself, that staying prayed up
- 5:20Speaker 1: is important. That you try to stop prayers, you know,
- 5:23Speaker 1: you try to you know, have some prayers in the bank,
- 5:26Speaker 1: so to speak, and just constant communication with him, because
- 5:30Speaker 1: it'll just safeguard you against a lot of stuff back
- 5:33Speaker 1: doing you. You know, I've had that happened so many times,
- 5:35Speaker 1: and so you know, I just wanted to make sure
- 5:37Speaker 1: you understood that because on your journey, it's gonna be
- 5:41Speaker 1: many obstacles. I've said this a hundred times on the show.
- 5:45Speaker 1: The road to success is always under construction. I say
- 5:49Speaker 1: that all the time, and it's to let you understand
- 5:52Speaker 1: that it's not going to be easy, but we can
- 5:56Speaker 1: make it more difficult than it has to be, you know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: when you go out, strike out on the journey. You know, Uh,
- 6:05Speaker 1: let's say I got in my car. Let's say I'm
- 6:07Speaker 1: in New York and I get in my car and
- 6:10Speaker 1: I say I'm going to LA. I know, if I
- 6:14Speaker 1: drive west and continue to drive west, eventually I should
- 6:21Speaker 1: get to California, or I may wind up in Portland
- 6:25Speaker 1: or Seattle or something like that. But if I drive west,
- 6:29Speaker 1: I'm gonna eventually get to the West Coast. Now, wouldn't
- 6:36Speaker 1: it be smarter though? If I mapped out the route
- 6:42Speaker 1: which saved me a bunch of driving I don't need
- 6:46Speaker 1: and figuring that I don't have to calculate when you
- 6:49Speaker 1: know the way to go. You know, if you know
- 6:55Speaker 1: you want to cut cross on the twenty, or you
- 6:58Speaker 1: wanta cut cross on the seventy, or you want to
- 7:02Speaker 1: cut cross on the ten, you know you got to
- 7:06Speaker 1: devise a route. Now, if I want to go visit
- 7:08Speaker 1: some people I know, then I know I got to
- 7:11Speaker 1: I need to go down. You know, I might go
- 7:13Speaker 1: through on how I'll come down on the eighty, then
- 7:15Speaker 1: get on seventy one and take that all the way
- 7:18Speaker 1: down to the Tin and then ride across. Or I
- 7:20Speaker 1: might take it to the twenty cut through Texas and
- 7:23Speaker 1: then and then let it link back up on the Tin.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I know a lot of different ways, but guess what
- 7:29Speaker 1: the best way is to map it out. You can
- 7:33Speaker 1: go anywhere, but if you go with a map, it's
- 7:36Speaker 1: more precise. You save yourself a lot of time. And
- 7:40Speaker 1: that's what prayer has taught me that when I would
- 7:43Speaker 1: dentify continuously, pray that I stay in the in the
- 7:48Speaker 1: I stay in a prepared mode. I have more idea
- 7:51Speaker 1: of where I'm going. I'm more secure with my route.
- 7:54Speaker 1: If you just take off driving heading west. Yeah, you'll
- 7:58Speaker 1: eventually get to the west coast. So if you out east,
- 8:01Speaker 1: But guess what, though, had you mapped it out, had
- 8:05Speaker 1: you made constant references to your map, you can see
- 8:08Speaker 1: when you're veering off, you may stop, come out and
- 8:12Speaker 1: not be paying attention. Next thing, you know, you're on
- 8:14Speaker 1: a route and you go on another where you're going
- 8:16Speaker 1: north when you could easily still be going west. You've
- 8:19Speaker 1: got to constantly be aware of that. And I'm just
- 8:20Speaker 1: pointing that out to you because I know that on
- 8:23Speaker 1: your journey a lot of times you get sidetracked. And
- 8:27Speaker 1: part of the ways we get sidetracked is we lose
- 8:30Speaker 1: out on that very the very beneficial resource of prayer.
- 8:36Speaker 1: We lose out we die. Connection with God get strained.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It thins out. The thicker you can keep the cord
- 8:45Speaker 1: connected to God, the more stable and the more balanced
- 8:51Speaker 1: the journey. If you fin out your communication with God,
- 8:56Speaker 1: and instead of having a big thick cable, now you're
- 8:59Speaker 1: dealing with a little thread. You know, a cable is
- 9:02Speaker 1: stronger than thread, and so it just decreases your opportunity.
- 9:09Speaker 1: And so you know, I wanted to just make you
- 9:11Speaker 1: aware of that, and you know, to ever be encouraging
- 9:14Speaker 1: to say to everybody out there and just keep your
- 9:17Speaker 1: head up. It is going to be dark days for you.
- 9:20Speaker 1: There are going to be situations where it's going to
- 9:22Speaker 1: be daunting and hard to face. But man on, man
- 9:26Speaker 1: on man, everybody has to face these challenges. Everybody get
- 9:31Speaker 1: dark sometimes. You know, look, if you didn't lose, if
- 9:35Speaker 1: you didn't lose, you wouldn't even appreciate winning because if
- 9:40Speaker 1: it all went your way all the time. Do you
- 9:44Speaker 1: know how complacent and content and how easy life would
- 9:48Speaker 1: be if it just went your way all the time.
- 9:52Speaker 1: So when it kept going your way, you wouldn't even
- 9:54Speaker 1: appreciate it because guess what, it's been going this way
- 9:57Speaker 1: the whole time. So what life does is it has
- 10:00Speaker 1: its checks and balances. These hard times are coming, and
- 10:04Speaker 1: you need the hard times to appreciate the good times.
- 10:07Speaker 1: You need the clouds and you need the rain to
- 10:11Speaker 1: appreciate the sun and the flowers. It's just when it
- 10:16Speaker 1: comes to prayer, though, just stay prayed up, stay constant
- 10:21Speaker 1: with it, because the challenges of life are coming, whether
- 10:25Speaker 1: you prayed up or not, they're coming. Understand that you
- 10:29Speaker 1: could pray every day all day when you get through
- 10:31Speaker 1: praying every day all day. Something gonna happen to you.
- 10:34Speaker 1: That's gonna be challenging. Now. I would rather have been
- 10:39Speaker 1: in communication with God on a regular than wait till
- 10:42Speaker 1: every time something pop off to have to go to
- 10:44Speaker 1: and reintroduce myself. Okay, it was over at a little
- 10:49Speaker 1: around the board with it today, but that's how it
- 10:52Speaker 1: came to me, so that it is. I ain't mad
- 10:54Speaker 1: at it. Y'all have a great day. We're gonna have
- 10:55Speaker 1: a good one day. Let's go morning everybody. What you're
- 11:04Speaker 1: about to do is to get ready to listen to
- 11:07Speaker 1: the baddest morning show in the land? Am I right? Yeah,
- 11:15Speaker 1: it's a little pregnant. Pause. Whoa, I'm not I'm not
- 11:20Speaker 1: the minister. It's this thing on. Let me come on
- 11:24Speaker 1: and it starts. Amen stops up. My pastor say amen,
- 11:29Speaker 1: lights amen, now because you all I listen. I don't
- 11:37Speaker 1: think you hear me. Colinbarrell, Amen passed us. My pastor
- 11:41Speaker 1: would say, am I talking to myself? What was it's timey? Here? Well?
- 11:48Speaker 1: Let me come on. I'm in the building over here
- 11:51Speaker 1: with the us. Your board, baby, I'm right here. Touch
- 11:54Speaker 1: three down town. We're down to on our crew. But
- 11:59Speaker 1: the we're gonna make it. Do what to do, baby,
- 12:00Speaker 1: don't worry about it. We got right job right yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 1: bancok morning morning in the morning. I mean, well, you
- 12:13Speaker 1: know Michael Cohen, he's not saying good morning. Yeah. Yeah,
- 12:24Speaker 1: he going to the bank for real. Yeah, he's got
- 12:27Speaker 1: to go to the bean. But that's a pretty light sentence,
- 12:29Speaker 1: considering very light. He should have got ten years for
- 12:33Speaker 1: what he did. He could have gotten a lot more.
- 12:35Speaker 1: He got thirty six months. That's three years. Will you
- 12:39Speaker 1: do all of that? That's that's my question that the
- 12:42Speaker 1: old time he's going to do all of that? Really,
- 12:44Speaker 1: I don't know if that was a federal case though, yeah,
- 12:47Speaker 1: it was a federal UK can you got you got
- 12:53Speaker 1: negroes in jail doing hard time for having marijuana in
- 12:57Speaker 1: their pockets. Hard train. But white color crime is treated
- 13:04Speaker 1: differently in this country. White and not black, not black
- 13:09Speaker 1: white colorcrime, white white color crime. It's a different We
- 13:15Speaker 1: could get real deep with that. We really, we can
- 13:18Speaker 1: go even deeper than what you did. That white colocrime
- 13:21Speaker 1: is real different than white, white color crime. Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well,
- 13:27Speaker 1: the judge did say that Cohen deserved credit for his decision.
- 13:31Speaker 1: You know, to admit to being guilty of cooperating, and
- 13:35Speaker 1: you know he helped out the federal investigation. While yeah, yeah,
- 13:39Speaker 1: but your assistance, the judge says, does not wipe the
- 13:43Speaker 1: slate clean because he lived a privileged life. He lived
- 13:46Speaker 1: a very privileged life and everything, and it just caught
- 13:50Speaker 1: up with them. And then when it caught up with them,
- 13:52Speaker 1: he lied about it. And then they were also saying
- 13:56Speaker 1: when when they lie like that, it takes the prosecutor.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It takes Bert Muller's team even longer because all those
- 14:02Speaker 1: lies you gotta get, you still gotta get to the truth.
- 14:05Speaker 1: So you know, it's lies on top of lies, and
- 14:08Speaker 1: you're trying to get through through the truth. That's really
- 14:10Speaker 1: kind of what's taking so long. Whereas Flynn went in
- 14:13Speaker 1: immediately and started telling the truth. Oh yeah, oh yeah,
- 14:21Speaker 1: all right, listen, coming up at thirty two after the hour, inside,
- 14:24Speaker 1: is something funny with all of this cold, snowy, rainy
- 14:27Speaker 1: weather around the country. What foods did your mom make
- 14:31Speaker 1: you when you were sick as a kid? Oh, look,
- 14:34Speaker 1: could my mom cook? We're gonna talk about that when
- 14:40Speaker 1: we come back at thirty two after the hour. You're
- 14:43Speaker 1: listening to the Steven Show. All right, guys, it's time
- 14:48Speaker 1: for something funny. From the Northeast to the Carolinas and
- 14:51Speaker 1: the Midwest, the snow and the cold rain. There are
- 14:54Speaker 1: some foods you know that always always remind me of
- 14:59Speaker 1: being sick when I was a kid. I'm sure it
- 15:00Speaker 1: does for you guys too. And the standard, of course
- 15:04Speaker 1: is chicken soup. Right, Yeah, everybody agrees with that. It's something. Yeah,
- 15:09Speaker 1: it's just something good about that chicken broth and those
- 15:12Speaker 1: veggies and stuff in there. Uh, every mom would make
- 15:16Speaker 1: chicken noodle soup, every mom can I can I say something?
- 15:20Speaker 1: But as a diabetic and most haabetics have to suffer
- 15:23Speaker 1: from half blood pressure, do you know how much sodium
- 15:26Speaker 1: is in chicken soup? It is a lot. But a
- 15:31Speaker 1: lot of people say sodium is good for you when
- 15:33Speaker 1: you yeah, but I mean if it's homemade, it's still
- 15:39Speaker 1: a lot of sodium. I mean, I get the can,
- 15:43Speaker 1: I get the camade, make no homemade. I came out
- 15:49Speaker 1: of red and white cant of top cam Yeah, that's
- 15:55Speaker 1: a lot of sodium. I'll give you that. But they
- 15:57Speaker 1: put the chicken in the pie with the vegets stuff, Yeah,
- 16:00Speaker 1: that put it all up down in the kitchen. But
- 16:11Speaker 1: she made homemade chicken noodles. My mom made homemade chicken noodles. Group. Yes,
- 16:17Speaker 1: not every single time, but she made it. And every
- 16:21Speaker 1: cook the chicken fall off the bone if you cook. Yes,
- 16:25Speaker 1: And your mom actually cooked noodles to make soups. My mom, Well,
- 16:30Speaker 1: you mean made the noodles or just you know what
- 16:32Speaker 1: she in the package, the egg noodles. Yeah, me neither. Jay,
- 16:39Speaker 1: this is where a bitter man came. Yeah, it is
- 16:45Speaker 1: because he had bad Christmases. We all know that Halloween
- 16:50Speaker 1: he hated. My mama didn't made chicken noodle soup too.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I remember one time we were watching TV. We were
- 16:55Speaker 1: watching Martha Stewart, Oh TV. If Martha Stewart said on
- 16:59Speaker 1: a Mercia when we come back, we're gonna make mayonnaids,
- 17:04Speaker 1: And I remember my mom said, why would she make mayonnaids?
- 17:08Speaker 1: I'm with you when you write I'm with you, would
- 17:10Speaker 1: I do that? That's that was my mom's philosophy on
- 17:18Speaker 1: chicken doodle soup. Make it. Campbell's has done that, But
- 17:22Speaker 1: like Jay said, it's filled with sodium. So yeah, you
- 17:25Speaker 1: know what I got. My mom would take that vicked,
- 17:29Speaker 1: vapor ub and rubbing all of my chest and leave
- 17:33Speaker 1: and then I didn't see hun more. But you put
- 17:38Speaker 1: a little under your nose, right, yeah, you put someone
- 17:40Speaker 1: and then you had to swallow something on the white head.
- 17:42Speaker 1: Oh yeah, I didn't understand that. I never understood that. Yeah,
- 17:46Speaker 1: that was disgusting. Give your little spoon to take that.
- 17:51Speaker 1: I didn't see it anymore. I never saw it again.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Huh you make chili? Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 18:04Speaker 1: I haven't made any chili when you're sick, though, Tommy,
- 18:07Speaker 1: I have, yeah, because it ain't go but yeah, to
- 18:11Speaker 1: take but the heat from the cayenne pepper that had
- 18:14Speaker 1: helped such a loving house. Oh my god, I'm so
- 18:19Speaker 1: I got all that bitch vapor rub on and a
- 18:22Speaker 1: couple of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, open big container
- 18:29Speaker 1: of grapefruit juice. And I never saw my mama that Well,
- 18:33Speaker 1: if he could eat peanut butter and jell I can
- 18:35Speaker 1: have a chill call Wait comm me wait, how did
- 18:41Speaker 1: you swallow the peanut butter jelly after the VI It
- 18:45Speaker 1: was so hard it was throw left me peanut putting jelly.
- 18:54Speaker 1: You I drank so much of as a kid, But
- 18:58Speaker 1: I could never milk milk, No, not when I was sick,
- 19:04Speaker 1: just period just maybe when I was sick. I don't remember,
- 19:07Speaker 1: but we drank so much milk. I drank. I drank
- 19:13Speaker 1: so much milk. Milk and catch up. Those were the
- 19:16Speaker 1: two things that I remember most. I never had milk.
- 19:20Speaker 1: Even with cereal, we didn't. You don't have cereal? You know?
- 19:28Speaker 1: When I found out cereal with milk? When I we
- 19:33Speaker 1: ain't stopped playing? When? When? When? When I went away
- 19:40Speaker 1: to Dade School to become a tailor, there were guys.
- 19:43Speaker 1: I'm like, y'all putting milk on amazing, Not Jake, Jake.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Let me tell you what you get when you get sick.
- 19:53Speaker 1: Let me tell you something you are to take it.
- 19:56Speaker 1: You got a ribbon, a nice cup, a nice cup
- 20:02Speaker 1: of hot dog water, that water after the hot Yeah,
- 20:05Speaker 1: you get you a nice cup of that get out
- 20:09Speaker 1: that's not get out, but nice cup of hot dog water.
- 20:14Speaker 1: Do you put you put it, Garnish it with some
- 20:17Speaker 1: lemon right on the edge, just right around the rim.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Put a little you want on that film floating on
- 20:27Speaker 1: the top right disgusting, Take a ween out and cook
- 20:35Speaker 1: it a little more ball. Yeah, didn't even worry about
- 20:38Speaker 1: that meat. Take that out, didn't you say? Your uncle
- 20:40Speaker 1: Steve used to give you that as soup when I
- 20:43Speaker 1: thought it was soup when I was growing up, I did, well,
- 20:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna make it some nice soup. Walking around eat
- 20:49Speaker 1: the hot dog, and here I am with it or
- 20:51Speaker 1: some some hot dog. Well, I thought it was the
- 20:53Speaker 1: best Super acquired. The taste right between Jay's is horrible.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Peanut butter, crunchy peanut. I just love crunchy peanut butter.
- 21:16Speaker 1: That crutch your throat, man, you gotta chew it. You
- 21:20Speaker 1: know you can't just you already have bigs, vapor rub
- 21:23Speaker 1: pushed out, broke you do you have your tonsils out
- 21:28Speaker 1: that Jed? Did you have your tonsils out? Chake Carlo? Yeah,
- 21:34Speaker 1: I never had my tonsils removed me neither. Coming up next,
- 21:38Speaker 1: it's the King of hot Dog Water and the King
- 21:41Speaker 1: of Pranks. Run that prank back. Right after this, you're
- 21:46Speaker 1: listening to the Stow. Coming up at the top of
- 21:51Speaker 1: the hour, Steve has a special twenty nineteen sand and
- 21:54Speaker 1: Soul announcement for you, and we're gonna tell you um
- 21:57Speaker 1: some of the most Google Search celebrities of the year
- 22:01Speaker 1: who were They will tell you about that. Yeah, but
- 22:04Speaker 1: right now here he is the king of pranks, the
- 22:07Speaker 1: one and only nephew Tommy would run that prank back.
- 22:10Speaker 1: What you got, neph Can you bring me some paper?
- 22:16Speaker 1: Everybody that heard this and leave once in their life?
- 22:18Speaker 1: Can you bring me some papers? Aggressive? But then that's
- 22:22Speaker 1: when you have to be aggressive. If you're sitting there, Shirley,
- 22:24Speaker 1: if you and you've been, you know, your lids getting known.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Can you bring me some paper? In the past, you

- 36:38Speaker 1: all right? In political news, guys, I'm sure you guys
- 36:40Speaker 1: have been watching this. Former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was
- 36:44Speaker 1: sentenced yesterday to three years in prison for campaign and
- 36:48Speaker 1: tax crimes. Cohen said that the president tweeted that he
- 36:51Speaker 1: was weak, and it was correct, but for a much
- 36:54Speaker 1: different reason. Cohen said he felt like it was his
- 36:57Speaker 1: duty to cover up the president's dirty deeds time and
- 37:00Speaker 1: time again. Wow, such liars. They just lied. You think
- 37:06Speaker 1: Trump put that's probably put some money on his books
- 37:09Speaker 1: or anything. Was getting paid to do everything he did.
- 37:13Speaker 1: It wasn't like an honorary duty. It was scamming the country. Yeah,
- 37:18Speaker 1: and then directly, uh, responsible for all the stuff that's
- 37:22Speaker 1: happening now. Because I had not they lied, Trump wouldn't
- 37:25Speaker 1: have been in there and we wouldn't be in the
- 37:26Speaker 1: situation when Yeah, you know, I agree with that, but
- 37:32Speaker 1: I still say that I think he was telling There
- 37:35Speaker 1: is some truth in that about him feeling like it
- 37:37Speaker 1: was his duty to cover up the president's dirty because loyal. Yeah,
- 37:42Speaker 1: he was loyal to the president and this and the
- 37:46Speaker 1: president was paying him. So you're right about that part, Jay,
- 37:49Speaker 1: But that wasn't that was his job to do. It's
- 37:52Speaker 1: it's he was the President's Ray Donovan everything. He was
- 37:58Speaker 1: no Ray Donovan goes in the kid, but this day
- 38:01Speaker 1: was just writing shacks. We don't know if he wasn't
- 38:03Speaker 1: kicking blood. He may have been kicking blood. Well we're
- 38:06Speaker 1: gonna say if you know how to kick but in
- 38:08Speaker 1: a minute. Yeah, no, you're right, say that again, Carla,
- 38:11Speaker 1: because you're right he was threatening. I think he was
- 38:14Speaker 1: threatening people and threatening to do things to people and
- 38:18Speaker 1: to destroy your lives, lives and reputation. Well, you know,
- 38:22Speaker 1: absolutely right. And the Michael Cohen that you're hearing that
- 38:25Speaker 1: in that courtroom is not the one you hear on
- 38:26Speaker 1: the phone making those threats, right, the crying Michael Cohen. Yeah,
- 38:33Speaker 1: you know, I mean, yeah, the day of reckoning has come.
- 38:37Speaker 1: Of course, you know he doesn't want to do any
- 38:38Speaker 1: prison time. He could have gotten a lot more. I
- 38:41Speaker 1: think three years was pretty light for you know what
- 38:43Speaker 1: a regularly y'all. That's all I'm gonna say. That's the
- 38:48Speaker 1: size of that one jump off. He has the foot
- 38:51Speaker 1: off forty eight, But the forty you're regularly You're right, Now,

- 39:08Speaker 1: who's a ten? Right? I mean if I see them
- 39:10Speaker 1: in person, not on TV. TV makes his mama's voice.

- 39:43Speaker 1: to do things more than these kids. When you say
- 39:46Speaker 1: these kids today like inst millennials, millennials. I hate to
- 39:49Speaker 1: say millennials because they say we made fun of them,
- 39:51Speaker 1: but you know they just love our millennials. We do, yes,
- 39:54Speaker 1: we do listen to the show all the time. And ta,
- 40:00Speaker 1: you had a butter knife. It wasn't just there sell them.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Did you there something? Did we even have butter? I
- 40:05Speaker 1: don't know why we had butter. We have butter. But
- 40:11Speaker 1: you can use a butter knife for different things like
- 40:13Speaker 1: like a screwdriver. Oh yeah, yeah, there's a flat head.
- 40:18Speaker 1: You can actually get it in a in a in
- 40:21Speaker 1: a phillips if you're working right and you're working right, Okay,
- 40:30Speaker 1: one time I got one, I got one. I got okay.

- 41:32Speaker 1: empty jar that was that if you found one that
- 41:37Speaker 1: had a handle on it, mimium. Sometimes you go to
- 41:39Speaker 1: the man, that's a set of glasses. What are you doing? Yes, yes,
- 41:50Speaker 1: a mason jow a Mason jow. Okay, jake, an empty

- 53:41Speaker 1: it is Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephew. This could be
- 53:44Speaker 1: your letter. Subject I've been with a few of his buddies.
- 53:51Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley I am a twenty nine year old
- 53:54Speaker 1: female and I've been dating a forty year old guy
- 53:58Speaker 1: for a year. I am madly in love with him,
- 54:01Speaker 1: and I believe he's my soul mate, but I'm afraid
- 54:03Speaker 1: my past won't let us last. You see, right before
- 54:07Speaker 1: I met my man, I was seeing another guy and
- 54:10Speaker 1: we had sex one time. It happened only one time,
- 54:14Speaker 1: and he stopped calling me after that. Two months later,
- 54:18Speaker 1: I met my current boyfriend and we hit it off immediately.
- 54:22Speaker 1: We had great conversation, in great sexual chemistry, and a
- 54:26Speaker 1: lot of other stuff in common despite the age difference.
- 54:30Speaker 1: Early on, he asked me about my past lovers and
- 54:33Speaker 1: one in particular that he used to play basketball with.
- 54:37Speaker 1: It was a guy that I dated before I met him.
- 54:40Speaker 1: I told my boyfriend that I know the guy, but
- 54:43Speaker 1: I never had sex with him. Yes, I lied to
- 54:46Speaker 1: the man that I consider my soul mate. Fast forward
- 54:50Speaker 1: to a couple of weeks ago, when my man came
- 54:52Speaker 1: over to my house after leaving the gym. He told
- 54:55Speaker 1: me that he ran into his buddy, the same guy
- 54:58Speaker 1: I messed around with and lied about. This guy told
- 55:01Speaker 1: my man that we did have sex, So I had
- 55:03Speaker 1: to come clean and apologize for lying. My boyfriend then
- 55:07Speaker 1: said that he knows several other guys that I've slept with,
- 55:11Speaker 1: that I've had sex with, but he doesn't hold it
- 55:13Speaker 1: against me because I was younger and care free at
- 55:16Speaker 1: the time. So much for living in a small town
- 55:19Speaker 1: and trying to keep a low profile. He said that
- 55:21Speaker 1: he still loves me, but he can't get past the
- 55:24Speaker 1: fact that I lied, and it makes it harder for
- 55:26Speaker 1: him to trust me. I feel like he looks at
- 55:29Speaker 1: me differently now. I love this man and he says
- 55:33Speaker 1: he loves me, But can he really leave my past
- 55:36Speaker 1: in the past. Do you think this will be an
- 55:38Speaker 1: issue forever? Well, you know, you never know it might be.
- 55:42Speaker 1: These are the kind of double standards I hate right here,
- 55:45Speaker 1: when you know just because you have a past, someone
- 55:49Speaker 1: holds it against you. Right now, everyone has a past.
- 55:53Speaker 1: Every single person has a past. Period. You live in
- 55:56Speaker 1: a small town, chances are you know people are going
- 55:59Speaker 1: to know each other if it's that small of a town.
- 56:02Speaker 1: But I say, your past is your past. You got
- 56:05Speaker 1: to own it. If it's your past, it's who you are.
- 56:07Speaker 1: Don't let anyone make you feel a certain way because
- 56:11Speaker 1: you do have a past, Like I said, everyone has
- 56:13Speaker 1: a past, and guess what, you don't have to tell everything.
- 56:17Speaker 1: You do not have to tell everything. And what I
- 56:20Speaker 1: also advise you to do. Just because you meet someone,
- 56:23Speaker 1: you know, it's a small town. You gotta you know,
- 56:25Speaker 1: you gotta be careful. You just can't jump into bed.
- 56:27Speaker 1: You know, you said this guy, you guys had great
- 56:30Speaker 1: conversation and great sexual chemistry. Hold off on that for
- 56:34Speaker 1: a little while, you know. And these guys that keep
- 56:38Speaker 1: running their mouths about the fact that they've been with you,
- 56:42Speaker 1: either they're they're telling too much or your guy is
- 56:45Speaker 1: lying to you trying to get you to tell the truth.
- 56:48Speaker 1: You know, everybody again, has a past. Don't make your
- 56:52Speaker 1: let your past define your future and who you are today.
- 56:56Speaker 1: If he loves you, he loves you. Some guys can't
- 56:59Speaker 1: get ask these things though, So if you want to
- 57:02Speaker 1: be with him, you're gonna have to stop talking. You're
- 57:04Speaker 1: gonna have to leave your past in the path. All right, Jay, Okay,
- 57:09Speaker 1: shut up. Let me just say this about that girl
- 57:15Speaker 1: in the past. I would get all in the uproar
- 57:18Speaker 1: when let me saying. Let me say, I would get
- 57:26Speaker 1: all up up rob if I was with somebody and
- 57:29Speaker 1: they had been with somebody else that was in the past.
- 57:32Speaker 1: But when you reach this age here, you have to assume, Yeah,
- 57:38Speaker 1: you can't get all up in your feelings about who
- 57:41Speaker 1: somebody else. First of all, I'm just so happy somebody
- 57:44Speaker 1: wants to be with me, So the fact that they've
- 57:48Speaker 1: been with somebody else, I don't even want to ask
- 57:51Speaker 1: that question, because suppose there's a lot of people, and
- 57:54Speaker 1: then it's a long list that we wasting time with
- 57:58Speaker 1: her going through the list. We don't get to do
- 58:00Speaker 1: what we were supposed to do. And I don't feel
- 58:02Speaker 1: a damn sleep because she it was deally Tommy. You
- 58:08Speaker 1: don't forget your wrong watch man that I was drunk, Cynthia,
- 58:16Speaker 1: But we don't talk about that, you know, So I
- 58:20Speaker 1: could care less. I'm just so happy you want to
- 58:24Speaker 1: be with me. I could care less who you've been
- 58:26Speaker 1: with at all. Like a mature man, right, bro, what
- 58:32Speaker 1: you can cure? Mature man? All right? Come on, you
- 58:39Speaker 1: can't be You can't be in a small town doing
- 58:44Speaker 1: big things with everybody. And that is what we have here.
- 58:50Speaker 1: I think here's the problem, and I don't It's something
- 58:53Speaker 1: about a man. Once a man finds out that you
- 58:57Speaker 1: have been with one of his boys. Yeah, he cannot
- 59:02Speaker 1: get that out of his head. It's not going to
- 59:05Speaker 1: leave whatever you think you all are going to have.
- 59:09Speaker 1: I promise you it's gonna come to an end because
- 59:11Speaker 1: that man can't sleep at night knowing that that's the truth,
- 59:16Speaker 1: that's from a real man giving it to you straight.
- 59:19Speaker 1: I can't sleep with it. I can't digest it, and
- 59:24Speaker 1: most men can't. Now, Jay, when you say when you
- 59:27Speaker 1: get a little older, might be all right with it,
- 59:29Speaker 1: I promise you if you think this man gonna marry
- 59:31Speaker 1: you after he know that, it's not gonna happen. Not
- 59:34Speaker 1: going to happen because it was his buddy. It's his buddy.
- 59:38Speaker 1: He knows him. And you lie. Now, he don't know
- 59:40Speaker 1: what else you don't lie about? Now, how many more
- 59:43Speaker 1: you're buddy? Yeah, So let me get this straight. You're
- 59:47Speaker 1: upset because she lied. That's part of it, because because men,
- 59:55Speaker 1: especially on this show, they live by the creed of lying.
- 59:58Speaker 1: So I'm shocked that I was show now, sir, I'm
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: so shocked that you're upseted she lied. Well, surely it's
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: like this. I don't think it's gonna work no matter
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: either way, because if she, if she told the truth,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: it's still his boy. Huh. If you're lying, you find
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: out it's still his boy. And he knows you've been
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: with my boy. So it's just something about the man.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: He just he just don't He don't want to be
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: with a girl that's been with his boy. That's what
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: that's most men, that's I know. He don't want to
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: be with his boys no more either. He lose he
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: lost the boy. And now they're gonna be back down
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: to the hooping, trust me. So they're gonna be back
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: down that hooper because her he didn't know her then,
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: but his boy, his boy was his boy came to
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: him said, hey, man, I got it, gonna take it
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: has happened between her and I. Well, what is he
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: telling that for? Though? You know that that's just whacked
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: to me? What is he telling her that? That's so
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: you tell we gotta go hold on. We'll be back.
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: We got part Oh, yes we will. We'll have part
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: two of our response coming up at twenty three after
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: the hour. You're listening to show, all right, today's Strawberry letter. Subject.
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: I've been with a few of his buddies, that is
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: the subject. And so yeah. I mean that's the title
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: of it. All right. Listen, we gotta recap this letter first.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Let's recap yeah, Tommy Okay. A twenty nine year old
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: woman wrote in she's dating a forty year old guy.
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: They've been together for about a year. She's madly in
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: love with him. She thinks he's her soul mate. She's afraid, though,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: that her past won't let them last. She says she
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: lives in a small town and she was seeing before
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: she met her current man. She was seeing another guy
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: and they had sex just one time. It only happened
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: one time, they stopped. They stopped seeing each other after that.
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: Two months later she met her current boyfriend. They hit
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: it off immediately, had great conversation, rate, sexual chemistry, a
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: lot of other stuff in common despite the age difference,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: so they're together now. Early on her guy asked her
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: um about her past lovers, and one in particular that
- 1:02:12Speaker 1: he used to play basketball with. See. I think this subject,
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: by the way, is misleading, because she says I've been
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: with a few of his buddies, but in the letters
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: she's only talking about one in particular, But then that
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: means they're more He ran it. Well, Yeah, well, yeah,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: your past won't let you last because up your ass. Okay,
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: that's a gospel playing. I'm just saying. Now, Okay, Shirley,
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: let's talk. Let's talk small town. Okay, yeah, how small
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Let's talk Let's talk Mayberry. All right, let's talk maybe Barney. Okay, now, now,
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: can can Barney meets somebody? And and and and this
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: is an old old pitchers they have the people don't
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: know what I'm talking? How can I bring this up
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: to date? Power? Power? Can ghosts? Can ghost get hooked
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: up with somebody that Tommy used to be with? And
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: Tommy got to tell Ghosts. Hey, hey, dude, I gotta
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: tell you me and how I used to kick you
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: back in the day. You gotta say something, right, So
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: let me ask no question a little different because Tommy
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: and Ghosts are besties. Huh what? Yeah? And New York
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: is a big city. Powers that hang out in the
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: same club. You want the same circle of friends. They
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: play basketball together, they do poot power in Austin, tex
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: And what is a few? What is a few? We're
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: talking to three? Two? It's always been three to me,
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: three or more? Three or more is a few? Yeah? Well,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: she there's a man code, and then there's an old
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: Man code, which all different. What because in the Man code.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: In the old Man code, you don't get in an
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: uproll because most of them, dude might be dead anyway,
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: so you ain't gonna work. No, I just think that thinking,
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: you know, it is just archaic. I just really do.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: Everyone has a past, lives, everyone has She is where
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: she lives. I mean, that's what happens. Where she just
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: happens to be in a small town is not town.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: She didn't say she slept with the whole town. But
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: she didn't slept slept with a few of his friends.
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: It's a small town. Then she needs to find somebody
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: that ain't got no Freddy, how are you going to
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: do that in a small town, Tommy? But go to
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: another town. Go to there's another There's got to be
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: another smaller town close to that small You need to
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: move time, go out, just love. Come on you, guys, No,
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: you have tainted. This tainted. This is a this is
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: a double standard. The guys are sleeping around too. Come on, guys, Okay,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: but guys, they can't get past it. Yeah, that's what
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: I'm saying. Call him. I'm being honest. Men cannot get
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: past that you've been with somebody they know or their friends.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: It's hard for me to get past it. Yeah yeah,
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: and they play ball with you got to see him
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: all the time. I'm trying to see if it were me,
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: if women can we get past if a guy slept
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: with some of our girlfriends let me see m No, no,
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: especially if she's cut in me, especially if especially if
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: she's banging her body. I know, you, Chiquan, what Oh no,
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I think I think as you like, yeah, as you're mature,
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: I think maybe those things aren't as important, you know,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: as they once were. Who you slept not a woman
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: who you see all the time. So yeah, see that's
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: the thing too. This is a man that he sees
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: all the time. So you think about it. Woman you
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: see all the time, got with your man? Okay? What
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: about Okay, then what about a guy who um is
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: you know this happens. Guys loves fall in love with strippers,
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: fall in love with hookers, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: They have passed. I had to say, hookers whatever, whatever,
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: the prostitutes they say world girls. Okay, that's different though,
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, but it's kind of the same. They
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: have a past. You don't see the guys, but she's
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: still been with a lot of guys. It's just because
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: the fact that these are his buddies. That's the problem.
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: That's what you're saying. That's the problem. That's what I think.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: It's the mayor. Yeah, that's what the problem is. And Temmy,
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: you made it seem like he was upset at the
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: fact that she lied. Now is it that she lied
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: or that she was with a few of his buddies.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: It's both both of them. Yes, because you need to
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: get on megabus and go to the next time. No, no, no,
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: just take a trip. Just take a trip, go go
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: see if maybe you can live in the next time.
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: Maybe don't nobody know you did. But knowing this girl,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: but can she get to the niche time, she wouldn't
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: have had shits with it. But that's what this is,
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: who she is, this is her life. And that's what
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: I'm saying. Just because I said that earlier, just when
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: you meet guys, stop jumping in bed with them just
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: because you guys have great sexual chemistry and everything. You
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: can't do that, you know. That's what she said. Yeah,
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that's what she said. We have great conversation, great sexual chemistry,
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: slow down down your past up. But your past is
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: your past. You still need to own your past. Don't
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: don't spread yourself to think we can't say that anything.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: All right, listen, we gotta get out of here. Guys,
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: email us or instagram us your thoughts on today's Strawberry
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Letter At Steve Harvey FM. We'll have more of the
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening to
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: show coming up at the top of the hour. Carlo's
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: gonna spill the tea with Carlo's reality update, and I
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: believe she's going to talk about someone on this sum
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: crew who has a show on own. We'll talk about
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: that ready if we're ready, If we're ready for that.
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: But before we get to that, guys, listen to this. Um.
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Just think for a moment. Can you imagine a world
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: without the Ellen Degenerous Show. It seems like she's been
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: on forever, right. I would miss I know, I would
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: miss her so much. It's Tommy thinks that's his girlfriend. Okay,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: so how much I have He really loves him from Ellen? Well,
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: it is hard to picture in Ellen Let's existence, but
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: he loves her differently Carla than we do. Okay, it's
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: hard to picture in Ellen less existence, but it might
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: be happening sooner than you think. According to a new
- 1:09:24Speaker 1: interview with The New York Times, Ellen Degeneress is considering
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: retiring from her insanely popular daytime talk show Okay yeah,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: contract for a show is up in twenty twenty. Ellen
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: is taking all of her options into consideration. She spoke
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: about seeking advice from her wife. We all know Porsche
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: d Rossi as well as her brother. Ellen has a
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: brother named Vance Degeneras, and she's been, you know, conferring
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: with both of them on her next career move. The
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: only problem is they have two totally different ideas on
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: what Ellen should do coming up. Porsche, her wife, thinks
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: that Ellen is ready for new challenge, while Vans, her brother,
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: thinks that Ellen should keep going with her talk show.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Ellen says she gets mad when my brother tells me
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: I can't stop talking about Porsche, and Ellen says I, Well,
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: Porsche says, I just think Ellen is a brilliant actress
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: and stand up that it doesn't have to be this
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: talk show for her creativity. That's what Porsche said. There
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: are other things she could tackle I don't see the
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: end of her show as her career ending. Now, Ellen
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: does have a stand up coming out on Netflix special,
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: so yeah, her special. Yeah, I think it's called relatable,
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: I think but anyway, you know, No, we don't want
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Ellen to leave. We do not. Yeah, yeah, we just
- 1:10:48Speaker 1: have to wait and see, though. We got a couple
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: more years for that. Shoots Kathy Lee. We're just getting
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: over that. Kathy Lee just announced earlier this week that
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: she's leaving the Today Show. So come on, take all
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: these white women leaving TV. You might need a Yeah,
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: it's a lot to take it for me. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: so you never know. I mean, we have her for
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: at least another year or so before Ellen makes a
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: decision another white lady leaves TV. I don't know what
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna and don't forget you know, Ellen has her
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: hands and so many other things. She's one of the
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: producers of Steve's hit show, Little Big Shots. Okay, so yeah,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: so there is speaking of that Little Big Shots. Christmas
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Special is tonight on NBC, hosted by our fearless leader
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: of course, Steve Harvey. So make sure, yeah you make
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: time for that. Check that out. Yeah, I love Steve
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: with the kids. So yeah, Ellen, don't go, don't go
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: yet at least man, let me tell you someone, Ellen,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: get out there and get the dancing. Boy. You can't
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: do nothing but have a feel good day. And now
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: and now she lets twitch her dj do it. And
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: boy can he dance for that? Boy? Whoa he can dance? Yeah?
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: I love the prizes in the contest. Yea too. Gives
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: a show, right, it's so full of love and fun
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: and she and she gives away so much money. She
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: does so much good. And then her twelve Days of Christmas,
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: oh mg, off the chain. Nice and she doesn't mind
- 1:12:21Speaker 1: making fun of herself for the joke, right right, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: yeah yeah. And I love how she ends every show.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: This touches my heart every time she says it. Be
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: kind to one another. We don't have that enough. We
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: don't hear that enough, and we're not kind a lot
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: of time. Huh, the White House, be kind to one another?
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: White House. Oh no, they're not listening. Ja. Cohen's about
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: to go away for three years. Yeah, three years. Yeah,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: he's gonna be real can yeah you can have it,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: but stay go. Yeah, we understand, Ellen, but we want
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: you to stay. But we we certainly get it. We
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: certainly get it. Yeah, I'm no, he doesn't have her now,
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: he doesn't even know her. Remember she was his big
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: ugly index finger on his phone, like, open it up?
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: Is he a face? ID? He was good by the
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: way he was on Ellen earlier this week. He was
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: so funny this week. It was really funny this week. Yeah,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: he was did No, No, she didn't, And I think
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: he was prepared for it. See, she likes to catch
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: you off guard if you go in thinking that she's
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: scare you. Oh my god, Yeah she scares everyone. Yes, yes,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: yeah she does. But now is the game show up
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: that she's doing? Oh? Game of Games? I think that
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: comes back in January. That's funny. Have you seen it? Yeah,
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: it comes in January along with The Rock. The Rock
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: has a new show that's something about the Titans or something.
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: He is a new um like one of those physical Yeah,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: one of those things. Yeah, I didn't get I didn't
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: make the cut on that one. Oh you were supposed
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: to do an obstacle. You were supposed to do one
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: of those fitness type of shows. Day, Yeah, I didn't
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: make competitive fitness? Am I the only one in here
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: that doesn't believe a word of what he just said. No, No,
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: you're not alone you and I don't care. Why so hard? No,
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: I don't care how convincingly he said it. I'm not
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: buying it. I'm not buying it. You want to do it?
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: He didn't know he did? That was bad acting? Yeah,
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: come on? Is the writer of a bad acting theater.
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: I was supposed to be on that show with the Rock,
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: and in fact, I was supposed to have the rock slot.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: That was gonna be me. I was gonna be that. Okay, wait, okay, okay, okay,
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: I'll bite, I'll bite. Where are you, Jane? Really? Yeah? Okay,
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: I can see how they picked you. Yeah, I know
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: the Rock took less money. And then I said, well,
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: I can't do it for that. I can't not mean
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Oh that's why you stopped. Oh okay, Yeah, gotta get
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: your money, honey. Now, can't have you a hunk like
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: you for free? Yeah, Rocks, I got the lacrick. All right, guys,
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: here we go. Coming up. Coming up next at the
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: top of the hour, it's Carla's Reality uptake. Right after this,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: you're listening Stry Morning Show, Lazy and Gentlemen, get ready,
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: she is here, the one and only. It's that time
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: Carlo's Reality. Love it, nephew, I love that intro. Thank
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: you very much and thank you Jane from all who.
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: All right, let's get started crew, Real Housewives of Atlanta.
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: So let me tell you this. Candy is really getting
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: on Porsche's nerves. Hen It feels like she has to
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: give Porsche, I don't know, like her head's up on
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: the fact that her new man, Porsche's new man, Dennis,
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: like he falls hard for women that he has been
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: involved with. So that's the information that Candy kind of
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: wants to tell her girlfriend, Porsche, you know, be careful,
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: heads up, you know, and Porsche could care less. Yeah,
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: she has made it perfect once you say it once,
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: you ain't gotta keep saying city. But well she's even
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: involved in that. Well that's the thing that's Porsche's point,
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: you know, because we talked about this last week, because
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: Porsche was like, because clearly, Candy don't want you to
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: say nothing about Todd, so don't come over here with
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: this situation. And like I said, right in the words,
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: that ain't mama, But Porsche said, her man, her new man,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: treats her like a queen and she is in love
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: and that is that now. Porsche did bring the conversation
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: that she and Candy had up to her new man, Dennis,
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: and he was like whatever, he said, we all have
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: a past and we just talked about that in the
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter last Hour. And he basically told Portia I
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: know some people that Candy knows too. And she had
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: a pass before Todd oh uncle at Glasshouses. Hello. So
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Dennis said, I ain't trying to be messy, and that's
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: that's unimportant. I knew what you mean. That's unimportant right now.
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: But Portia, she also went on the head. You know,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: they were talking, I was having the conversation and it
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: was his birthday and she surprised her new man for
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: his birthday by gifting him with a pair of baby
- 1:17:56Speaker 1: shoes and a one esie and he was very confused.
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: Was opening up these gifts and he was like, what
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: is going on. She told him she was pregnant and
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: he yes. She told her. She announced to her man,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: her new man, that she's pregnant, she's expecting, and it
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: was very emotional moment. Uh. They after that, now he
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: wasn't an upro and words of your granddame. Stupid. He
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: cried a little bit, you know, it got really emotional
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: and portion she just basically said that she's happy and
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: she's prayed for this happiness for years. You know, the man.
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: It treats her good. And now she's wanting to be
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: a mom. She's always wanted to be a mom. So
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: there you go. So, yeah, that's good news for her.
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: And then your girl Nini and her husband Greg, they
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: decided to host a couple's dinner and uh it was
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: called Boobs and Bourbon Party. Yeah, so it was for
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: the couples on the show until the women. Wait what, Jay,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: would you say? They both had booms? Yay, don't interject
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: your own life into the into Carla's reality update. Okay,
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: keep your invite, y'all continue Carla, we worked with an
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: idiot sa right now. But anyway, so the ladies came
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: with outfits on this show, their cleavage, you know, they
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: kind of it was just a little sexy look. And
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: they didn't drink bourbon. They everybody just drank what they
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: wanted to drink. I don't I didn't get the bourbon
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: part of it. But anyway, Um, there was a newcomer
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: to the group and she was a friend of Nine's
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: and she got an attitude with Eva because she said
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: that Eva they have a mutual friend and that she
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: was mad that Eva didn't remember her and didn't really
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: speak to her. And Eva was like, girl, Bob, I
- 1:19:58Speaker 1: don't know about to know you like that. This girl
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: was very very upset she didn't remember her from the past.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I guess they all went to high school together. But anyway,
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: this woman her man he put his head down, like,
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: must you embarrass me on every possible occasion? What do
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: you doing going off because this girl, I don't know you?
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Yeah at the table, So didn't quite understand that, but
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: it was kind of cool. Greg broke the ic did
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: the toast, and he was happy that everyone was there
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: and you know, to take his mind off of cancer
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: and the treatment everything. Yeah, he's in good spirit. At
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: the dinner, he was in very good spirits. So there
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: you go. No, Shary is not on this season. You
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: keep asking me that, Jay, No, she know she coming back.
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: You're taking white women off and you're not bringing a
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: black women back on the other show. No, maybe you
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: can write Andy Cohen, Yeah, yeah, yeah, shake up the cast.
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna put you on Ready to Love. What I get,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: I fix all this. Oh that's a good idea speaking
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: of Ready to Love. Thank you after these emotional weeks.
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: Get ready because we got some future episodes of Ready
- 1:21:20Speaker 1: to Love, So make sure you set your dvyar every
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: Saturday night on on ten pm, nine Central, hosted by
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: our very own nephew, Tommy. Tommy coming up now. The
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: couples are going to meet each other's families and stuff
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: like that was getting ready to happen. Oh my god,
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: it's getting juicier and juicier. Uh. They're meeting each other's families,
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: whether it's the parents, whether it's brother's sister. You know,
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: and that your family will check, will let you know.
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: I don't like them. I don't trust. It's got to
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: be one hundred. So it's starting to narrow down. It's
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: getting gritty. Um the one, this guy, this young boy
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Aaron on there, Oh my god, oh man, this is
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: all I hear about. Well, I'm in the grocery store,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: if I'm at the gym, hey man, Aaron, Man, he
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: is is there a couple that you think should be together?
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: Can't say it is one? He can't say, Jay, excuse me,
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Jay on the show. Tommy's name is og o G.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: That's I just found out, Jay, I'm an Og. I
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: didn't know that, you know. I actually was offended the
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: first time. Yeah, og og kicking that knowledge. I was like,
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: who are you talking about? You? That's the thing about
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: being you are dubbed that because nobody picks that name, yehself. Yeah,
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: you don't nominate yourself to be an og. Right, all right,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: we got thirty seconds, so make sure you guys check
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: out Thank You Nephew Ready to Love Saturdays on on
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: ten pm, nine Central, and then make sure you mark
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: it down. Saturday, December twenty ninth, Nephew Timey will host
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: the reunion show. Yeah, people are talking about that one
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: and miss it. All right, I gotta go make sure.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: Oh wait, Ben Zeno from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: he's about to go to trial. He didn't get into
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: some trouble, y'all. So hit me up at lifts a
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: by Carla. I know, I know, hit me up. We'll
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: talk about it socially Lifts by Carla. We gotta go.
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: I'll be back at twenty after you're listening to show.
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: All right, guys, now that Kevin Hard has backed out
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: of hosting the Oscars. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: and Sciences is scrambling to find his replacement, and with
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: a little over two months left before the big day.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: This is crazy two months, they said. Jimmy Kimmel prepared
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: for this hosting gig for like ten months, and now
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: they only have a little over two months. Yeah, some
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: insiders are saying that they might not pick one at all.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: They've been considering the possibility of a group monologue to
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: open with a bunch of huge celebrities to usher and
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: move the show along. And insider said, uh, all options
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: are open right now, including going without a host or
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: some variation of multiple hosts. There has been a lot
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: of interest from within the industry offering up names of
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: potential hosts. Nothing has been decided yet. One more thing
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: if all else fails. Jimmy Kimmel says he wouldn't mind
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: hosting again. He's done the Oscars for the past years. Yeah.
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: He was cute, he really was. He kept it good,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: he kept it moving and everything he said, though it
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: took him like ten months to prepare. I mean, you know,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: Ellen has done it before. I think even Whoopy offered
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: her services. Yeah, she hosted what for four? Four times?
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Four times? He did Chris Rock Um, yeah, you know
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: what what Steve Trump Trump host Donald Trump here would
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: be welcome. No, not in Hollywood, No, No. Do you
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: know what they called the Oscars on TMZ the Gay
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: super Bowl? That's what they called the oscar that's t
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: yeah yeah, yeah, okay, Well anyway, Jimmy Kimmel says he's
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: done the Honors for the past two years. He knows
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: the gig. However, he does have one condition. He wants
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: them to ask him before the new year, so he
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: is as ready as possible before because it takes a
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: lot to prepare for the show. Yeah yeah, yeah, I
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: mean ten months before. So oh, I bet you who
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I know who could do it? Oh? I think one does.
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Sikes could do it too, No, she really, I like
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: I love one to Suke. She's funny. Yeah, she's good
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: on Blackish. Yeah, I'm gonna give you a real choice.
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: I was playing by the real choice. Well, yeah, I
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: bet you Barack Obama could host that thing. I bet you. Yeah. No,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: I think that's not good. No, I mean it might be,
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: it's your opinion. I just think he's a president I
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: think that's a step down. It's a step down for
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: the former president. I'm not Yeah, I think he likes
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: having fun. That's what I'm saying. It's not it's not
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: putting him in a category. Well, I mean, I see
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: what she's saying. That just not an entertainment gig. Like
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: he needs to do something where it's on a bigger platform,
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: making a difference. That what you mean, he's a world leader.
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: I mean I don't think, Yeah, I don't. I don't. Well,
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: he did the Correspondence Dinner and he was, you know,
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: quite funny on that. But that what is his name?
- 1:26:46Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, just say Zach, Yeah, Zach, Zach does that? Well,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: you know him and his wife could do it. Oh,
- 1:26:59Speaker 1: that be great if they came out. I don't think
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: it would be I repack Christmas Rob, I like nobody
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: even thinking about this for Ellen, Damn Burger, shut up.
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: You get if you can get all the Hollywood saying
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: that it's hard to get a catchphrage you five guy
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: burgers outside fives and the question all right, we gotta go.
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming

- 1:30:51Speaker 1: want to fix your face when you open it, play
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: it off like you happy to it from your kids.
- 1:31:02Speaker 1: That's all the money they head all right, Oh just lie,
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: oh dishwashing liquid, Yeah, I get that something. We got
- 1:31:12Speaker 1: to play together. People doing the best they can for you.
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: Don't give men. Oh man, how about you that big
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: box of paper towels because I know you always yeah,
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: you're listening to show. All right, here we are, Steve,
- 1:31:35Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day.
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: I guess a lot of things have been on my
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: mind in terms of closing remarks, because I try to
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: really really keep people, especially good people who are trying
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: to stay on the straight and narrow and the positivet
- 1:31:51Speaker 1: and it gets difficult at times. I had a young
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: man text me, uh, the other day and said, big dog,
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: I just need some of your wo Man. I've been
- 1:32:01Speaker 1: doing everything, man, I've been praying. My girl is tripping.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: I don't know how to handle it. It just seems
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: like Man and God ain't letting this thing happen quick
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: enough for me. Man. And I'm thinking about going back
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: to my old ways, man, but I don't want to.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: And so I was just talking to him about a
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: way to handle I send him a couple of things,
- 1:32:25Speaker 1: you know, and he was talking about how hard it was,
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: and I just told him, I said, look, man, being
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: successful it's very very difficult. If being successful were easy,
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: come on, how many times have you heard that. I
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: don't even have to say it again. Everybody would be it.
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: But when you're going through something, folks, you have to
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: understand that you're being tested. You're being processed and tested.
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: You're being pushed through the furnace, you're being molded shaped.
- 1:32:56Speaker 1: Sometimes you get real hot in that furnace and you
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: turn liquid. And it looked like he ain't gonna be nothing,
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: but but he just pulling you into this mold. That's
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: all he doing. All the trials and tribulations and hard
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: times and difficulties that you find yourself facing. He just
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: molding you, man, He just getting you ready to receive it,
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: because when you get it, people are gonna come after it.
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: When you get it, people are gonna want it. When
- 1:33:20Speaker 1: you get it, you're gonna draw attention all these things
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: you asking God for. When he give it to you,
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: you gotta be ready to receive it, and you gotta
- 1:33:30Speaker 1: know how to appreciate it and handle it when you
- 1:33:32Speaker 1: get it, and you gotta be able to stay in
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: all the storms that come with it. Because to whom
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: much is given, much is required. So guess what He
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: requires a lot of you before he give it to you.
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: It ain't just to who much is given, much is required.
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: Meaning after those of you who get something that you
- 1:33:51Speaker 1: owe it to a bunch of people, you ain't got
- 1:33:53Speaker 1: to look at it just like that, to who much
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: is given, much is required. That great thing that you're
- 1:33:58Speaker 1: asking God for, that incredible thing that you want him
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: to see you through, Well, when he give it to
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: you and he see you through it, he gonna require
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: something of you to get through it. Now, when he
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: gets through it, Now, guess what You've been tested. You've
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: been five baptized, You've been ran through the meal. You
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: can handle it. Now you appreciate it. Now you worked
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: for it, Now you earned it, and you're gonna respect
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: it a little bit more than somebody who was just
