- 2:52Speaker 8: Get a purpose in your life, find that higher calling
- 2:57Speaker 8: of why you are here?
- 3:00Speaker 2: About it?
- 3:01Speaker 8: What's it all for? Get at it today? Now, Steve,
- 3:06Speaker 8: you're making some some some some big statements here. Uh
- 3:10Speaker 8: huh yeah. But oh you know I'm gonna clean it
- 3:12Speaker 8: up for you, don't you Cause you know I don't
- 3:14Speaker 8: just throw it out there without without the how two part.
- 3:17Speaker 8: See the how two part is usually where most people stop.
- 3:21Speaker 8: They tell you this what you gotta do is what
- 3:23Speaker 8: you gotta do is what you gotta do. Then they
- 3:25Speaker 8: don't tell you how to That's why I don't. I
- 3:28Speaker 8: don't get off the boat right there now. If you're
- 3:33Speaker 8: trying to figure out if you're trying to get your
- 3:35Speaker 8: life a mission, and you're trying to figure out the
- 3:38Speaker 8: purpose and what the high calling is, and you want
- 3:40Speaker 8: to be about something, and you're trying to figure out
- 3:43Speaker 8: what's it all for, and you want to go get
- 3:45Speaker 8: at it today, here's the trick. God knows. God knows
- 3:53Speaker 8: the answer to all those questions. He knows what your
- 3:58Speaker 8: mission in life is. He he already know what your
- 4:01Speaker 8: purpose is. He already know what the higher calling is.
- 4:04Speaker 8: He already know what you got to be about. He
- 4:07Speaker 8: already know what is all for. He already know what
- 4:10Speaker 8: you need to go get at.
- 4:12Speaker 2: God knows you know why.
- 4:14Speaker 8: He knows because He created you. And God created all
- 4:18Speaker 8: of us with a purpose in mind. In regardless as
- 4:23Speaker 8: to how we were created, we were all created with
- 4:26Speaker 8: a purpose in mind. He got a mission for us,
- 4:29Speaker 8: He got something he wants from us, he got something
- 4:32Speaker 8: he expects of us. He has a life of abundance
- 4:36Speaker 8: prepared for each and every one of us that will
- 4:39Speaker 8: lay claim to it. Now, if you don't want that,
- 4:43Speaker 8: then gone and start making decisions on your own, possibly
- 4:46Speaker 8: like you have. Now, let me ask you something, since
- 4:49Speaker 8: you've been making all the decisions on your own, Where
- 4:52Speaker 8: you at, where you at with it? How you feel
- 4:55Speaker 8: about it every day? How locked in on your mission?
- 4:58Speaker 8: Are you you on a good purpose?
- 5:01Speaker 2: Plan you know?
- 5:02Speaker 8: Do you feel like your life is in a higher calling?
- 5:05Speaker 8: Do you know what you about? Do you have an
- 5:08Speaker 8: understanding of what it's all for? Are you up every
- 5:12Speaker 8: day going and getting at it?
- 5:15Speaker 2: See?
- 5:16Speaker 8: Come on now, So now I'm asking you if you've
- 5:20Speaker 8: done this without talking to God or without checking in
- 5:23Speaker 8: with your creator? Can you answer all those questions? I
- 5:27Speaker 8: can flat I'll tell you you can't. I know for
- 5:30Speaker 8: a fact you can't because you can't know how good
- 5:36Speaker 8: your life can be, and you won't have a life
- 5:40Speaker 8: as good as you want it to be until you
- 5:42Speaker 8: have connected with the one that created you. You better
- 5:47Speaker 8: understand this one now. Please understand this ain't Steve just
- 5:50Speaker 8: over here ranting and raving. This is Steve after having
- 5:53Speaker 8: years of figuring this one out. But it's all in
- 5:58Speaker 8: the Bible. It's all in holy writings. But you know
- 6:03Speaker 8: I ain't got time for that. Don't go to church
- 6:07Speaker 8: like I'm posed to. Don't read the Bible or the
- 6:11Speaker 8: scrolls or the Koran or whatever your faith is. You
- 6:14Speaker 8: don't read all that it's in that though.
- 6:18Speaker 2: It's in there.
- 6:19Speaker 8: But we're humans, so we go get at it the
- 6:24Speaker 8: way we see it. Let me tell you what happened
- 6:27Speaker 8: to me. See while I was getting at it the
- 6:31Speaker 8: way I saw it ort to be got at You
- 6:33Speaker 8: understand me. When I was defining my purpose, when I
- 6:37Speaker 8: was creating my own mission, when I was laying claim
- 6:42Speaker 8: to what my calling is in life, let me tell
- 6:45Speaker 8: you what I was doing.
- 6:46Speaker 2: I was deferring. I was deferring the abundance that He
- 6:51Speaker 2: really had for me. I'm just now listen to me.
- 6:56Speaker 2: I'm just now getting at it for real.
- 6:59Speaker 3: Oh.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I've been working towards it all my life.
- 7:01Speaker 8: I didn't know it though, But see, because God is
- 7:04Speaker 8: so merciful and so full of grace, he allowed me
- 7:08Speaker 8: to make all the mistakes I made then, and then
- 7:11Speaker 8: when I finally came to him, he said, all right,
- 7:13Speaker 8: now I'm gonna take all of them. Is to tell
- 7:15Speaker 8: you how cold I am Now this this God. Now,
- 7:17Speaker 8: I'm gonna tell you how cold God is. He takes
- 7:21Speaker 8: all the mistakes you made, all the failures you made
- 7:25Speaker 8: while you was making your own decisions.
- 7:28Speaker 2: He takes all of that and uses them as.
- 7:31Speaker 8: Valuable gained and learned experiences, and he takes that and
- 7:36Speaker 8: allows you to be who you are today. See God,
- 7:39Speaker 8: God ain't gonna let you forget what you did. But
- 7:43Speaker 8: here's something cold too. He ain't gonna let what you
- 7:46Speaker 8: did go for not oh what you saxtyt See that's
- 7:51Speaker 8: what's cold. See all the mistakes I made, every lie
- 7:57Speaker 8: I told, traumatic experience I went through, I put anybody through.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Any time.
- 8:06Speaker 8: Man I was out there tripping trying to justify it
- 8:10Speaker 8: as right. He said, all right, okay, But now, because
- 8:14Speaker 8: of my mercy and my grace, what I'm gonna do
- 8:19Speaker 8: is I'm gonna allow all this to happen. You're gonna
- 8:23Speaker 8: waste a lot of time, you gonna forfeit a life
- 8:26Speaker 8: of abundance that you could have been and had.
- 8:28Speaker 2: But I tell you what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna
- 8:30Speaker 2: take all of that and I'm gonna turn it into
- 8:32Speaker 2: some good.
- 8:33Speaker 8: So I'm gonna let all of these lessons that you've learned,
- 8:36Speaker 8: all of these hardships, all of these moments are despaired,
- 8:40Speaker 8: come back and you'll use them and you'll wear them
- 8:42Speaker 8: on your head like a crown.
- 8:44Speaker 2: You're gonna it's gonna be jewels in your head. Man.
- 8:47Speaker 8: I'm gonna take all of that stuff and make you knowledgeable.
- 8:51Speaker 8: I'm gonna take all that stuff and make you wise.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Man.
- 8:55Speaker 8: I'm gonna take all of that stuff and I'm gonna
- 8:58Speaker 8: put it in your mission. I'm gonna take all that
- 9:00Speaker 8: stuff and make that a part of your purpose. I'm
- 9:03Speaker 8: gonna take all that stuff and create that to be
- 9:06Speaker 8: a part of your higher calling. I'm gonna take all
- 9:08Speaker 8: that and let you be about that right there. I'm
- 9:11Speaker 8: gonna take all of that, and I'm gonna let you
- 9:14Speaker 8: find out what it's all been for. I'm gonna take
- 9:17Speaker 8: all of that, and with all of that mess you've
- 9:19Speaker 8: made of your life, I'm gonna let you now take
- 9:22Speaker 8: all that and go get at it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: See, but that only happens when you come to God.
- 9:28Speaker 8: Because God is the only one that knows what you've
- 9:30Speaker 8: been through and how to take what you've been through
- 9:33Speaker 8: and turn it into something to help you get through
- 9:35Speaker 8: what you're going through. Hey, the only one can do that.
- 9:39Speaker 8: Ain't nobody else like him. There's nothing like him on
- 9:42Speaker 8: this world available to you. Man, So quit tripping yourself out,
- 9:46Speaker 8: get over there and talk to God. Man, quit wasting
- 9:49Speaker 8: your life like I was doing.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Stop.
- 9:51Speaker 8: I'm telling you He'll let you get at it and
- 9:53Speaker 8: can't nobody let you get at it like him.

- 16:28Speaker 11: That is a line that came from one of the

- 17:34Speaker 2: I don't know why I Tank had to do it
- 17:36Speaker 2: the way he did it. What he bringing up his
- 17:37Speaker 2: turtle neck?
- 17:38Speaker 8: Folk, bring up another bring he bringing up turtle neck

- 17:53Speaker 2: Stop right there. You gotta slow down now, Tank. Uh uh.
- 18:00Speaker 8: You was bringing up the film career, talking about just
- 18:05Speaker 8: the fas and fury Horse. Yes you got more movies,
- 18:10Speaker 8: and that he got more movies than you. He should
- 18:16Speaker 8: have been bringing up here the role, the credits. Ty
- 18:18Speaker 8: Reeves didn't know what to do and shit order trying
- 18:20Speaker 8: to smile his way out. Some of all that granted
- 18:23Speaker 8: and all this like hire.
- 18:24Speaker 2: If you wanted to win.
- 18:25Speaker 8: The verses, you should have started crying. You should have
- 18:28Speaker 8: went on deal want like the videos you make because
- 18:31Speaker 8: tdd Reeves, you could have cried on Tanks and Tank would.
- 18:34Speaker 2: They had no response for that.
- 18:36Speaker 8: I ain't never seen Tank crying on the left anyway,
- 18:39Speaker 8: already on and on taking social media.
- 18:41Speaker 11: Read he threw he threw his words back at him
- 18:46Speaker 11: one more time, but he said I need your forgiveness
- 18:49Speaker 11: and your mercy too.
- 18:51Speaker 2: In that turtleneck. Yeah, but see, Tank, you keep bringing
- 18:56Speaker 2: up a monster hit. Yeah, preach.
- 19:00Speaker 8: I was listening as people was complaining that it was
- 19:04Speaker 8: ty Reeves versus everybody. Ty Reeves can really sing, y'all,
- 19:11Speaker 8: Lets not get it twisted. Say what you want about
- 19:15Speaker 8: it being online long, all long messages in speech. I
- 19:21Speaker 8: know you' out there talking about sem He ain't got
- 19:23Speaker 8: no business talking about don't nobody give it maut how
- 19:26Speaker 8: much your child support is? We all had to pay
- 19:28Speaker 8: child support at one point in time or another. Some
- 19:32Speaker 8: of us wasn't really required by love. But if you
- 19:34Speaker 8: got any babies, you're paying child support. All my kids
- 19:38Speaker 8: have grown right now and I'm still giving them child support.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It ain't gonna ever end.
- 19:43Speaker 8: I got forty two year old people still getting child
- 19:47Speaker 8: support when they call me. I'm tired of y'all talking
- 19:50Speaker 8: about on this right here, which you should have just
- 19:52Speaker 8: went on and sang your songs and got on out
- 19:55Speaker 8: the door or read.
- 19:59Speaker 11: And then you wanted to be his hongs in the past,
- 20:01Speaker 11: he said, maybe I deserve.
- 20:06Speaker 2: A turtle neck. That's what he said.
- 20:08Speaker 8: Why is we still talking bout this turtle neck? Re
- 20:12Speaker 8: deserved its turtle neck. You is a crying shame. He
- 20:15Speaker 8: got on a turtleneck. Well, at least he got a
- 20:17Speaker 8: turtle neck. Ty Reeves should have just kept on writing
- 20:20Speaker 8: the song. Then ty Reeves tried to sing, al here
- 20:23Speaker 8: your turtle neck. Quit johning in and helping out. You
- 20:26Speaker 8: ana keep bringing up this turtle there. Why don't you
- 20:29Speaker 8: just do your song? Find out who can sing? Now
- 20:31Speaker 8: both of them can sing, and the tank and sing
- 20:34Speaker 8: his draws off. That wasn't a question, but it was
- 20:38Speaker 8: too much slinging and not enough singing for me. Was
- 20:41Speaker 8: a version, says winning An R and b rappers turned
- 20:44Speaker 8: into beef.
- 20:45Speaker 2: Artists right here.
- 20:46Speaker 8: Ain't neither one of y'all gotta Ain't nobody scared of
- 20:49Speaker 8: the Tank or ty Reeves. He was threatening each other
- 20:52Speaker 8: cause and manage you. I got on turtle neck. Hock
- 20:55Speaker 8: about this turtle neck. Putting up your shirt? Wi is
- 20:58Speaker 8: your chest out? I know you got bloody cheeks on
- 21:01Speaker 8: your chest.

- 21:11Speaker 11: in twenty twenty seven.
- 21:15Speaker 2: You want to be in there shaking her hair steal

- 25:21Speaker 9: and sixteen, so they can decide for themselves. Should I stop.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Hanging with them? Well, I mean it's kind of awkward
- 25:30Speaker 1: and odd, but I mean you.
- 25:32Speaker 8: Do, Yeah, you probably build I don't know how long
- 25:35Speaker 8: y'all was married, and probably build a bond your husband
- 25:39Speaker 8: if your husband don't like it, but because you know,
- 25:42Speaker 8: they probably at the house talking to his new woman
- 25:45Speaker 8: you ain't like Miss Sheila, mischief is more fun than
- 25:48Speaker 8: you he catching Hell, Holly, and you know it, so
- 25:53Speaker 8: you know that's probably why you going along with it.
- 25:56Speaker 8: I just think, you know, it's cool that you have
- 25:58Speaker 8: this relationship with the keys and didn't divorce them, and
- 26:02Speaker 8: it's cool. But I don't know if all that hanging out, well,
- 26:05Speaker 8: that's cool to hang out, but it's gonna create a
- 26:07Speaker 8: problem for the guy.
- 26:09Speaker 2: And that's what's going on.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Sixteen. They're not like little baby, you know what I'm saying.
- 26:13Speaker 1: They're not little kids.
- 26:15Speaker 8: Yeah, or you can just cut them loose and prepare
- 26:19Speaker 8: them for life. That life gonna be a lot of losses,
- 26:21Speaker 8: and I'm one of them, and just going about your business.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Do you care about this one because it doesn't sound

- 26:51Speaker 13: the ex. Yeah, I don't know how they're hanging out.
- 26:56Speaker 13: I won't go move with my mama, you know, I
- 26:59Speaker 13: don't know. The reason he's not liking it is because
- 27:02Speaker 13: he's dating somebody else. They talking about you. It is
- 27:05Speaker 13: creating some discomfort. And he knows to move it forward
- 27:08Speaker 13: with this new girl. You're gonna always be there.
- 27:10Speaker 2: He's trying to trim it now, all right.
- 27:16Speaker 9: Moving on to last one, Steve, This is Ronnie and Indianapolis.

- 27:31Speaker 9: When I got back in the car, I told her
- 27:33Speaker 9: not to ever answer my phone. My mom told me
- 27:36Speaker 9: to chill.

- 27:54Speaker 1: This is his girl.
- 27:55Speaker 9: Yeah, not his wife, he said his girl. Oh if
- 27:58Speaker 9: it was his wife, he would have said wife.
- 28:01Speaker 8: Oh yeah, so yeah, you could try to nip that
- 28:05Speaker 8: in the board earlier. Don't ever answer my phone?
- 28:07Speaker 9: Yeah that was kind of mean. Yeah, even if mom
- 28:13Speaker 9: had to tell him to.
- 28:14Speaker 8: Chill, Yeah, yeah she did, mm hmm. But you know
- 28:18Speaker 8: why though, why you still can't answer this phone? I
- 28:23Speaker 8: don't give it who it is?
- 28:26Speaker 9: Said it at least nicer.
- 28:27Speaker 2: No, it ain't no way nice nice way to say that.
- 28:32Speaker 1: I told her not ever answer and.

- 28:49Speaker 8: outside messing it all up.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Why is it a problem if you talk about these
- 28:55Speaker 1: phones this morning?
- 28:55Speaker 2: Because you're ruin this good relationship.
- 28:58Speaker 1: If you keep this wrong, ruin it?
- 29:01Speaker 8: How though, what was because you asking the phone and

- 29:38Speaker 11: can get another phone. You throw that phone out the window.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Well, she probably answered it because it said, Mom, I'll
- 29:45Speaker 1: take a ham.
- 29:45Speaker 8: And bust the glass on that phone. Bust out that
- 29:50Speaker 8: dash boy. You ain't gonna be telling how fast we
- 29:52Speaker 8: going and we need gas. I'm I'm gonna tell that
- 29:58Speaker 8: the cage is on him.
- 30:00Speaker 1: The engine light comes on you with know tire pressure.
- 30:04Speaker 8: I promise you you're not finna know nothing else about

- 30:23Speaker 1: coming up.
- 30:24Speaker 9: No, we don't have a radio, no more, no entertainment news.
- 30:28Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:38Speaker 9: Miami rapper Trick Daddy was hired to perform at the
- 30:41Speaker 9: seventy third South Atlantic Regional Conference for Alpha Kappa Alpha
- 30:45Speaker 9: That's the AKA Sorority, Inc. But the performance was cut
- 30:49Speaker 9: short after Sorority leadership deemed that tricks, the lyrics, and
- 30:53Speaker 9: its behavior were inappropriate. According to a statement from AKA
- 30:57Speaker 9: South Atlantic Regional director, the SORO contracted with Trick Daddy
- 31:02Speaker 9: to perform selected songs, and leadership met with him and
- 31:06Speaker 9: his team multiple times before the event with details on
- 31:11Speaker 9: his attire, on his language, and specific stuff preapproved songs.
- 31:16Speaker 9: Trick Daddy allegedly disregarded the agreed upon guidelines and used
- 31:21Speaker 9: obscene language, inappropriate lyrics, and engaged in behavior that violated
- 31:26Speaker 9: the organization's brand and standards. Trick Daddy responded to the
- 31:31Speaker 9: incident on social media, claiming that the organization knew his
- 31:34Speaker 9: reputation and musical style before they even booked him. The
- 31:38Speaker 9: videos of Trick Daddy thrusting his hips on stage have
- 31:42Speaker 9: gone viral on social media, and the comments mostly agree
- 31:45Speaker 9: with Trick Daddy. They believe that Trick Daddy is exactly
- 31:49Speaker 9: who he's always been and the AKA should have never
- 31:53Speaker 9: booked him.
- 31:54Speaker 1: So you guys heard about this, right.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Oh chah, get out trick.
- 32:04Speaker 1: Right there.
- 32:05Speaker 8: You ain't see this coming, and I don't know how,
- 32:08Speaker 8: and you know what, let me just say this, The
- 32:10Speaker 8: AKA is a much much smarter than this. This is
- 32:14Speaker 8: a really an organization filled with absolutely brilliant women. I
- 32:19Speaker 8: mean they everywhere, they're all over that organization. I don't
- 32:22Speaker 8: know who had this lapse in mental capacity to think
- 32:27Speaker 8: that you could get Tricked Daddy be some other than
- 32:29Speaker 8: Tricky Trick Daddy.
- 32:35Speaker 2: He do what he do.
- 32:36Speaker 8: You can forget asking him to wear a suit, you
- 32:39Speaker 8: can forget asking him not to cuss, you can forget
- 32:42Speaker 8: asking him to do what you tell him to do.
- 32:45Speaker 8: You can't tell this man what to do, you can't
- 32:48Speaker 8: pay him. And then now, and I'm really surprised that Akas.
- 32:54Speaker 8: I'm stunned that they would have been done this in
- 32:57Speaker 8: the first place.
- 32:58Speaker 9: Yeah, they hired trick Daddy and he was Tricked Daddy.
- 33:03Speaker 9: And now you med start.
- 33:06Speaker 1: You started.
- 33:09Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you an example.
- 33:10Speaker 8: Years ago at the Black Enterprise Golf and Tennis Classic,
- 33:15Speaker 8: they hired for the for the entertainment Eddie Griffin, and
- 33:18Speaker 8: then they got mad at Eddie.
- 33:20Speaker 2: Eddie. Eddie do what Eddie do.
- 33:23Speaker 9: Because they think they're going to change because of where
- 33:26Speaker 9: they are.
- 33:28Speaker 2: But what happened, bro y'all know what Eddie do?
- 33:32Speaker 12: Yeahs you you know where they hired you to and
- 33:37Speaker 12: they say, hey, we want you to do a B
- 33:39Speaker 12: C D.
- 33:40Speaker 1: This kind of show.
- 33:42Speaker 2: When you hire me, just what you get?
- 33:45Speaker 1: Yeah, what you want me to do? I will say, though, Steve, you.
- 33:52Speaker 9: Changed your show in the sense that you didn't cuss
- 33:54Speaker 9: when you were doing like the religious stuff you went
- 33:58Speaker 9: out with Kirk Franklin.
- 33:59Speaker 2: You just well that, well that was a mega fest.
- 34:01Speaker 2: I just didn't want to go to Hell.
- 34:06Speaker 8: And the Lord way way deep, the money and request
- 34:11Speaker 8: way deeper than that.
- 34:13Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know I just didn't. I didn't. I didn't.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Just people.
- 34:18Speaker 8: You know who these artists are, Yeah, and you got
- 34:23Speaker 8: to stop thinking you're gonna change them for your even
- 34:26Speaker 8: it's a million people they could have got, I know,
- 34:30Speaker 8: I know they could have got so many people.
- 34:34Speaker 1: Yeah, it was a risky Yeah, it really was backfire.
- 34:40Speaker 12: They was down in Miami, Luke Campbell down there. Okay, well,
- 34:48Speaker 12: I mean then it's the same thing in my aid,
- 34:52Speaker 12: same thing.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Lesson learn, lesson learn.
- 34:56Speaker 8: Let me. I'm just surprised from the aks they are
- 35:01Speaker 8: just there are too many brilliant women in that organization.
- 35:06Speaker 9: Were they trying to relate to something different? Some person
- 35:13Speaker 9: whose idea was it?
- 35:15Speaker 3: Hey, I know.
- 35:17Speaker 2: Somebody young no trick daddy.
- 35:20Speaker 8: Yeah, somebody back in the day was somewhere and had
- 35:26Speaker 8: the time of day life and a trick daddy concepts.
- 35:28Speaker 8: Huh came, I'm man, we had such a good time. Okay,
- 35:33Speaker 8: you was drinking, you were fool You don't really remember

- 35:46Speaker 9: him again. We're gonna move on now to Tiger Woods. Reportedly,
- 35:51Speaker 9: he entered a comprehensive impatient rehabilitation rehabilitation program.
- 35:57Speaker 1: In Zurich, Switzerland, over the weekend.
- 35:59Speaker 9: Following a d u I arrest and rollover car crash
- 36:01Speaker 9: last month, Florida judge granted Tiger permission to leave the
- 36:06Speaker 9: US for treatment. This is after his attorney argued that
- 36:10Speaker 9: the intense media scrutiny in the US compromised his privacy
- 36:15Speaker 9: and hindered his recovery. According to ESCN, huh, go ahead.
- 36:20Speaker 2: Don't don't don't, don't worry about none of that. Tiger.
- 36:23Speaker 2: This is Tigert had done this before. Tiger know how

- 36:59Speaker 1: Yeah, but he said that's all he needs.
- 37:03Speaker 9: But he said he doesn't want a driver because you know,
- 37:06Speaker 9: the privacy thing. He's too private. But anyway, we wish
- 37:09Speaker 9: him well in his recovery.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I don't want a job, no more.

- 45:21Speaker 8: and I tried to get him banned from doing Eastern speeches.
- 45:24Speaker 8: Banned why because he dumb, he can't remember nothing, kind
- 45:29Speaker 8: of like with little Tommy used to do his Eastern speeches. Oh,

- 46:16Speaker 8: g I Joe clothes home.
- 46:20Speaker 9: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up
- 46:28Speaker 9: at about four minutes after the hour. It's my strawberry
- 46:30Speaker 9: letter for today, and the subject.
- 46:32Speaker 1: Is he's too bougie for my church.
- 46:35Speaker 9: He is too bogy for my church. Okay like you anyway,
- 46:40Speaker 9: it says, he the nephew is here with today's prank
- 46:45Speaker 9: phone call. What you got for is neph I got it,
- 46:48Speaker 9: I got it, I got it. Your baby going back
- 46:50Speaker 9: to pre k yep, what yep? Your baby is going
- 46:55Speaker 9: back to pre k. Oh, the baby all on the baby.
- 47:00Speaker 9: K's just the baby got a lot of issue. You're
- 47:03Speaker 9: cutting outside the line. You just you just your baby.
- 47:07Speaker 9: Need to do pre k all over again. Let's go
- 47:09Speaker 9: cat duck, maybe going back to pre k. Hell, yes,
- 47:12Speaker 9: I'm trying to reach miss Thomas.
- 47:14Speaker 2: Please.
- 47:16Speaker 11: My name is mister Stapleton. I'm actually the principal over
- 47:19Speaker 11: at elementary school. You're I'm looking at my records indicating
- 47:23Speaker 11: that your son, Thomas is going to be starting his
- 47:26Speaker 11: first grade.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Baby's ready, right, listen.
- 47:30Speaker 2: Miss Thomas.
- 47:32Speaker 11: I've been going through actually all of the children's records
- 47:35Speaker 11: that will be starting school, and I'm looking at your
- 47:38Speaker 11: son's grades from his kindergarten.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Well, no, not exactly.
- 47:45Speaker 11: I mean there's been a few I actually spoke with
- 47:48Speaker 11: the teacher and who he was under in kindergarten, and
- 47:51Speaker 11: it seems like he just really wasn't up to par
- 47:54Speaker 11: as the rest of the children.
- 47:56Speaker 6: Now his conduct now, he talks, but he gets it work.
- 48:00Speaker 6: So what else is she saying on that that ain't right?
- 48:03Speaker 11: Well, what's what it seems to be, ma'am, is that
- 48:06Speaker 11: his grades weren't up to par as the rest of
- 48:08Speaker 11: the other children. She did tell me he was a
- 48:10Speaker 11: disobedient child.
- 48:11Speaker 6: No, he disobedient and talking two different things.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Come on, okay, well.
- 48:15Speaker 11: Man, listen, what we've decided here is we're gonna let
- 48:19Speaker 11: little actually do another year of kindergarten.
- 48:22Speaker 6: Oh no, y'all ain't gonna gonna let him do another
- 48:24Speaker 6: year of kindergarten.
- 48:25Speaker 2: No sign, ma'am. That's that's the only choice I have.
- 48:29Speaker 11: No.
- 48:30Speaker 6: We got our letter in the mail with our report
- 48:33Speaker 6: card the week after school's started, and it's said on
- 48:37Speaker 6: the back promoted. And if I got to get about
- 48:39Speaker 6: this cotch and go get it, I'm gonna be out
- 48:42Speaker 6: because I'm telling you right now we will be in
- 48:45Speaker 6: the first grade. Kindergarten wasn't that hard. I'm not sure
- 48:48Speaker 6: what they told you about him, but it must be
- 48:50Speaker 6: the wrong.
- 48:51Speaker 11: Well, I don't understand that he doesn't color as well
- 48:54Speaker 11: as the rest of the kids. He's all out of
- 48:56Speaker 11: he's out of the lines when he colored. He doesn't
- 48:58Speaker 11: know his numbers completely. And that's kind of what we
- 49:01Speaker 11: need when you first come into into the first grade.
- 49:05Speaker 6: When I can show you on this paper he did
- 49:07Speaker 6: satisfactory all the way through. Now you about the man
- 49:10Speaker 6: and I'm already sick calling me with some by my
- 49:13Speaker 6: son blunking kender garden.
- 49:15Speaker 2: He ain't that kind of thing does not color well, ma'am.
- 49:18Speaker 6: I said, Coling ain't got nothing to do with the
- 49:20Speaker 6: dad gard kindergarten. He is going to the first grade,
- 49:23Speaker 6: and I be down there on August twenty four.
- 49:26Speaker 2: I will not be able to allow you to get
- 49:28Speaker 2: into school.
- 49:29Speaker 6: God, miss him, I'm sorry, and let me get Let
- 49:32Speaker 6: me tell you what. Let me go in and get
- 49:34Speaker 6: my pencil pen because I don't live that far from
- 49:36Speaker 6: the school. And if y'all already down there calls him
- 49:38Speaker 6: some conflict, I need to get up and go down
- 49:40Speaker 6: there because I'm not telling my baby when he come
- 49:41Speaker 6: home today, so he ain't going to the dad gun first, ma'am.
- 49:44Speaker 11: I hate to say it, but I'm gonna have to
- 49:46Speaker 11: refuse education from him on August.
- 49:49Speaker 6: You know what, I just went back and put him
- 49:50Speaker 6: in public school. I know that was a stake in
- 49:52Speaker 6: the first place. Food, which are talking about some coloring?
- 49:55Speaker 11: Give me your name against sir Stapleton.
- 49:57Speaker 2: Man?
- 49:58Speaker 6: And what's that number down there?
- 50:00Speaker 2: The number here is actually area code.
- 50:02Speaker 6: Waitman, I got the number now, mind I pulled up
- 50:05Speaker 6: this report card. I got the number in your name
- 50:06Speaker 6: on the back of this paper. I tell you what,
- 50:08Speaker 6: August twenty fourth will be coming in there, going to school,
- 50:11Speaker 6: and I might make a trip around there this evening
- 50:13Speaker 6: when I come from the document. I'm not want to
- 50:17Speaker 6: hear that calling. Ain't got nothing to do with nothing else.
- 50:21Speaker 2: It's not only color.
- 50:22Speaker 11: He's arithmetickets back all right, No, are you working with
- 50:25Speaker 11: him at home or you're doing anything.
- 50:28Speaker 6: At home every day? What you're trying to say, I'm
- 50:30Speaker 6: an incompetent parent.
- 50:31Speaker 2: I'm just asking, as a parent, are you working with
- 50:33Speaker 2: your child.
- 50:33Speaker 6: I'm working with my child every day. He can read
- 50:36Speaker 6: better than you. Probably, No, he can't read, honest Prince,
- 50:38Speaker 6: I can't read better than you, because honestly, you read
- 50:41Speaker 6: that wrong on that paper that you're supposed to be
- 50:42Speaker 6: going back to kindergarten when I know the paper saying
- 50:45Speaker 6: from it going to the first grade. And I'm not
- 50:48Speaker 6: listening to no more this about him going backwards. Now,
- 50:51Speaker 6: if you got a problem with your paper work, maybe
- 50:54Speaker 6: you need to go talk to your secretary or somebody
- 50:57Speaker 6: in there that wrote my baby.
- 50:58Speaker 2: Name down with your son's name, Thomas Man.
- 51:02Speaker 6: No, it ain't him, baby, I know it ain't him.
- 51:04Speaker 6: You're not gonna sit up and tell me my son
- 51:05Speaker 6: is flocking kindergarten. He is not going back to that kindergarten.
- 51:08Speaker 2: Don't bring your son down here, August.
- 51:12Speaker 6: I tell you what, be ready to put me and
- 51:14Speaker 6: my husband, but we will be down there Officer four,
- 51:17Speaker 6: back pack shoes you to farm everything you.
- 51:20Speaker 2: Hear me, I will not be able to allow him
- 51:21Speaker 2: an education that right now.
- 51:23Speaker 6: I will come down there right now and make that
- 51:25Speaker 6: correction on that paper for you. That is not going
- 51:29Speaker 6: back to no kindergarten for no coloring.
- 51:31Speaker 2: Can you bring him down here and let him color
- 51:33Speaker 2: for me?
- 51:34Speaker 6: You tell a coloring arithmetic in ourselves? No, no, I'm sorry.
- 51:39Speaker 6: We would be down at augusta twenty four. I will
- 51:41Speaker 6: have this poor card in my hand that says you
- 51:44Speaker 6: have been promoted to the first grade. And he's gonna
- 51:46Speaker 6: have a smile on his face, and so are you.
- 51:48Speaker 2: I got one one thing I need to tell you.
- 51:51Speaker 2: Are you listening to me?
- 51:52Speaker 6: I'm listening. You ain't saying nothing. Yeah, you better say
- 51:54Speaker 6: something that sounds like the first glade because I'm not playing.
- 51:56Speaker 6: I would go down to this dad gun administrative office,
- 51:59Speaker 6: and I have fine because my son will be in
- 52:02Speaker 6: that first grade?
- 52:03Speaker 2: Are you raising your voice? Sat? Who are you raising
- 52:05Speaker 2: your voice?
- 52:06Speaker 8: Said?
- 52:06Speaker 6: You know you're talking crazy to me. I'm talking crazy
- 52:08Speaker 6: to you.
- 52:09Speaker 9: What.
- 52:10Speaker 6: I'm a ground woman. I don't need to be express
- 52:12Speaker 6: to you.
- 52:12Speaker 11: Why I'm trying to did you graduate, honey?
- 52:15Speaker 6: I am a college degree person. I have a great job.
- 52:19Speaker 6: My husband and I do well for ourselves and for
- 52:21Speaker 6: our children.
- 52:22Speaker 11: And that's why we know you're not even You're not
- 52:23Speaker 11: even at work right now, man, I said.
- 52:25Speaker 6: I'm a shake phone. I told you that when you
- 52:27Speaker 6: call him right on the doctor to call me now, partner,
- 52:30Speaker 6: that's in my phone call.
- 52:31Speaker 2: Can you color because your son can't come color?
- 52:34Speaker 6: What got the question is that? Can ask me? Can
- 52:37Speaker 6: I color? Why are you white or black? You asked
- 52:39Speaker 6: me so I dressed me? Am I colored?
- 52:41Speaker 12: No?
- 52:41Speaker 2: I asked you, can you color.
- 52:43Speaker 3: Like your son?
- 52:44Speaker 6: Is here some racist lines in there? Can you color?
- 52:46Speaker 2: No?
- 52:48Speaker 6: My color and me being colored ain't got nothing to
- 52:50Speaker 6: do with none of this? Is this a race thing?
- 52:53Speaker 6: Trying to make sure you send him back?
- 52:55Speaker 11: No, I'm not trying to send him back. I want
- 52:57Speaker 11: to send him back to color to get his coloring
- 52:59Speaker 11: to get.
- 53:00Speaker 6: Tell you what that ain't got nothing to do with nothing.
- 53:01Speaker 6: And if you are the head person down there, now
- 53:04Speaker 6: you aren't competent and you are an illiterate. Call me
- 53:07Speaker 6: and tell me that my son has to go back
- 53:10Speaker 6: to the first grade. I got one you don't want

- 56:44Speaker 2: Muggle up and hold on till you we gut it
- 56:46Speaker 2: for you here. It is the Strawberry Letter.
- 56:50Speaker 9: Subject He's too bougie for my church. All right, Dear
- 56:54Speaker 9: Stephen Shirley, I'm a forty six year old woman and
- 56:57Speaker 9: I need your advice on dealing with the man I'm dating.
- 57:00Speaker 9: He was the first in his family to graduate college
- 57:03Speaker 9: and now he is a successful doctor with his own
- 57:06Speaker 9: private practice. I'm a doctor too, and I work in
- 57:09Speaker 9: a public health clinic, which is not in the safest community.
- 57:13Speaker 9: My boyfriend loved to joke about me working in the hood.
- 57:17Speaker 9: He is opinionated and arrogant at times, and it drives
- 57:20Speaker 9: me crazy. I should have known better, but I took
- 57:23Speaker 9: him to my parents' church anniversary service last week and
- 57:27Speaker 9: it did not go well. I drove and picked him up,
- 57:30Speaker 9: and as I turned into the neighborhood, he asked why
- 57:33Speaker 9: we were heading to the ghetto. He saw the church
- 57:36Speaker 9: and commented that he should not have worn an expensive
- 57:38Speaker 9: suit shoes, and he hopes no one breaks in my
- 57:41Speaker 9: car while we're inside. I rolled my eyes at him
- 57:45Speaker 9: and told him to chill. During the service, one of
- 57:48Speaker 9: the older members of the church read a Bible verse
- 57:51Speaker 9: and my Man corrected him under his breath.
- 57:54Speaker 1: An older lady motion for my Man to be quiet.
- 57:57Speaker 9: Then pastor spoke and he started mispronouncing names from the
- 58:01Speaker 9: Bible and hollering him sweating, and my Man chuckled out
- 58:05Speaker 9: loud several times and I had to nudge him to stop.
- 58:09Speaker 9: At the end of the service, the pastor came to
- 58:11Speaker 9: say hi to me, and he said he couldn't wait
- 58:14Speaker 9: to meet the rude person I brought with me. My
- 58:17Speaker 9: Man didn't mind being called rude, nor did he try
- 58:20Speaker 9: to be polite. He told pastor the church needs to
- 58:23Speaker 9: get security for the parking lot and only let members
- 58:26Speaker 9: that can read well do the scriptures and announcements. He
- 58:30Speaker 9: embarrassed me so badly that I almost broke up with him.
- 58:34Speaker 9: What's funny is that he's from the worst hood in town.
- 58:38Speaker 9: So why is he like this? Is this something he
- 58:42Speaker 9: can change? Well, you know right now reading this letter,
- 58:48Speaker 9: the only thing he needs to change is you. I mean,
- 58:51Speaker 9: you need to wake up and realize that you can
- 58:53Speaker 9: do much better than this guy. And it's always these
- 58:56Speaker 9: kinds of guys, you know, they forget where they come from. You.
- 59:01Speaker 9: I think they're better now because he's a doctor and
- 59:04Speaker 9: doing well and all of that. So now he's looking
- 59:06Speaker 9: down at everyone else. I mean, why would he go
- 59:08Speaker 9: to church and embarrass you like that and be rude
- 59:11Speaker 9: to the pastor and correct every I mean, who does
- 59:13Speaker 9: he think he is? And in a relationship the priority
- 59:19Speaker 9: should be you? Okay, you should be a priority. He
- 59:24Speaker 9: acts as if you and whatever you got going on
- 59:26Speaker 9: is just so beneath him. You know why am I here?
- 59:30Speaker 9: Oh you need security? Why are we going to the hood. Well,
- 59:33Speaker 9: that's where you came from, something worse than this. Okay,
- 59:37Speaker 9: you're a doctor too. I just want you to remind
- 59:40Speaker 9: you that you are a doctor too, and you don't
- 59:43Speaker 9: act like that. His problem, like I said, is he
- 59:46Speaker 9: forgot where he came from and instead of trying to
- 59:48Speaker 9: help the community and being a shining example to them
- 59:51Speaker 9: of you can get out, you can become a doctor.
- 59:53Speaker 9: You can you know, maybe going back and helping some
- 59:56Speaker 9: of the people in the community, you know, do something.
- 1:00:00Speaker 9: He's looking down on them, he's being rude to them,
- 1:00:03Speaker 9: He's turned his back on them, he's being nasty to them,
- 1:00:05Speaker 9: and he's making the slide snide remarks and comments to you.
- 1:00:09Speaker 9: I don't know how you can put up with this.
- 1:00:11Speaker 9: I'm sure you can do better. And you know, he
- 1:00:16Speaker 9: needs to just move on. I just think he needs
- 1:00:18Speaker 9: to move on. You need to let him go and
- 1:00:21Speaker 9: let him know why you're letting him go.
- 1:00:24Speaker 8: Steve Wow, let me just start by this, I don't
- 1:00:29Speaker 8: like this. This doctor that you're dating is a typical
- 1:00:35Speaker 8: of what happens.
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: See. A lot of people think that their current position.
- 1:00:43Speaker 8: Removes them from their formal past. I'm gonna say that again.
- 1:00:51Speaker 8: There are a lot of people who think that their
- 1:00:54Speaker 8: current position in life removes them from their.
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: Past.
- 1:01:03Speaker 8: The problem that they failed to realize is when you
- 1:01:06Speaker 8: become successful, it is your past.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: It is that that you were that helped you become
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: who you are. See, let me explain something to you.
- 1:01:18Speaker 8: If it wasn't for the Hood, there's no way I'm
- 1:01:22Speaker 8: in the position I'm in today if it wasn't what
- 1:01:26Speaker 8: the Hood taught me and showed me, that's no way
- 1:01:30Speaker 8: I'm who I am today because that hood gave me
- 1:01:35Speaker 8: the fible, the starch, the grit, the guts, the fight
- 1:01:42Speaker 8: to fight this other war on the other side of
- 1:01:45Speaker 8: the world that I've been on. Now, this is the
- 1:01:48Speaker 8: serious part that I'm giving you about this letter. There
- 1:01:52Speaker 8: is no Steve Harvey without wonder love. He don't exist.
- 1:01:58Speaker 8: He doesn't exist my former self or a character an
- 1:02:04Speaker 8: image of me that was created in the past that
- 1:02:08Speaker 8: helped me survive.
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: Whore I was well that thing right now? It's the
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: very reason I got to be who I am.
- 1:02:16Speaker 8: See, And that amazes me how people get bullgy like
- 1:02:19Speaker 8: that and all that sudden they try to lead that
- 1:02:22Speaker 8: from behind. You can't run from what you were. I
- 1:02:26Speaker 8: embrace it. So that's the serious part of the letter. Now,
- 1:02:30Speaker 8: do you have a problem with this man?
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Yes?
- 1:02:33Speaker 11: Ye.
- 1:02:33Speaker 8: Are you gonna be able to fix him? Probably not?
- 1:02:37Speaker 8: Now can you stomach him? I don't know, I don't know.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: It don't sound to me like you like him, because
- 1:02:44Speaker 2: don't nobody reading this letter like him?
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I know, I don't now.
- 1:02:51Speaker 8: When we come back after the break, I'm gonna give
- 1:02:56Speaker 8: you a demonstration of what happened at the church through Okay,
- 1:03:01Speaker 8: all right, thanks and ask Deacon deaf Jam to join me,
- 1:03:06Speaker 8: because I could tell you what happened.
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: Well in part two of Steve's response coming up in
- 1:03:11Speaker 9: twenty three minutes after he's to bogy for my church.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this. You're listening
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: to the Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:03:24Speaker 12: Do you ever notice your floors still look dirty even
- 1:03:27Speaker 12: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:03:30Speaker 12: you can see and feel. Unlike stream mops, Swift for
- 1:03:33Speaker 12: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:03:37Speaker 12: and hard to reach places like behind the toilet. The
- 1:03:40Speaker 12: new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning actions
- 1:03:44Speaker 12: for results that look, smell, and feel clean. No more
- 1:03:48Speaker 12: dirty floors. Try the Swift for power Mop. Love it
- 1:03:51Speaker 12: or your money back?
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:03:53Speaker 9: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's strawberry letter. He's too
- 1:03:56Speaker 9: bougie for my church is the subject.
- 1:03:59Speaker 8: Let's just girl, forty six year old woman dealing with
- 1:04:02Speaker 8: this man his first family to graduate college and he's successful, doctor,
- 1:04:06Speaker 8: got his own practice. She's a doctor too, but she
- 1:04:08Speaker 8: works in the hood. He always joking her about working
- 1:04:10Speaker 8: in the hood, and he don't forgot where he's from.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: Like I said, a lot of people think that their
- 1:04:15Speaker 8: current position in life removes them from their prior life,
- 1:04:20Speaker 8: of their past. When people don't realize it is your past.
- 1:04:24Speaker 8: Is how you got where you are in the first place.
- 1:04:26Speaker 8: If it wasn't from the conditions of the hood that
- 1:04:29Speaker 8: I lived in, I don't get to be successful because.
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: I wouldn't have to fight the start. I wouldn't have
- 1:04:34Speaker 2: had a tough skin I got.
- 1:04:35Speaker 8: You know, when they talking about me, when they making
- 1:04:37Speaker 8: fun of me, when they behind my back, when they
- 1:04:40Speaker 8: stab him, when they jump on me for no reason,
- 1:04:42Speaker 8: when they when they come out the bushes, see see
- 1:04:45Speaker 8: see it's see see see what messed people up? See
- 1:04:48Speaker 8: social media?
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: At the first set of bushes, I'd have had somebody
- 1:04:51Speaker 2: jump out on me on see so she so she
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: see see.
- 1:04:58Speaker 8: Even though social media is new, it's new level, new devil,
- 1:05:02Speaker 8: but it's the same bushes though. See Herman Wilson jumped
- 1:05:07Speaker 8: on me from behind the bushes the first time every
- 1:05:09Speaker 8: time I walked past bushes, Herman Wilson, And now I
- 1:05:11Speaker 8: look for people behind the bushes now, so when they
- 1:05:14Speaker 8: jump on me, I got what It takes a whole
- 1:05:16Speaker 8: lot from my past. But now what happened was you
- 1:05:18Speaker 8: pitch your man up and you took in the church.
- 1:05:21Speaker 8: And as you turned into the neighborhood, they asked why
- 1:05:23Speaker 8: he was heading to the ghetto. He saw the church
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: and com ined that he he shouldn't have worn expensive
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: suit and unshoes. And I hope you don't nobody bringing
- 1:05:31Speaker 8: his carboy here inside. You roll your eyes at him,
- 1:05:33Speaker 8: told him, chill now this your passes your mama andeum
- 1:05:37Speaker 8: pastor and the verses. So you know they had little
- 1:05:39Speaker 8: sheets over the two chairs up front, you know, or
- 1:05:42Speaker 8: the usherboard wore white.
- 1:05:44Speaker 2: You know, your little hood church. They decorated its best
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: they could, but it ain't a lot of money, get it.
- 1:05:51Speaker 8: Some one of the older members of the church read
- 1:05:53Speaker 8: the Bible verse and my man corrected him under his breath, large, deacon,
- 1:05:59Speaker 8: je damn, I want you to help me out.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: Yes, sir, we are reading from the Book of Joel.
- 1:06:08Speaker 2: From the Book of Joe, where it says he was.
- 1:06:16Speaker 8: Susswassled by the whill and as he laid in the
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: underbelly or the well, it must have it must have
- 1:06:28Speaker 8: stinken that you feel me, you know, I guess I'm
- 1:06:34Speaker 8: assuming that the whale regurgitated him back up on the beach.
- 1:06:40Speaker 8: And when he got up on the beach, he was
- 1:06:43Speaker 8: faced with temptation caust some girls on the beach.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: With bikinis on. Can you see what I'm seeing.
- 1:06:51Speaker 8: Now?
- 1:06:52Speaker 2: And I'm staying with you. But and that is why.
- 1:06:57Speaker 8: The temptation that was on that beach is the same
- 1:07:00Speaker 8: temptation that followed them into the wilderness. And for forty years,
- 1:07:07Speaker 8: Jonah Job was in the belly of the will. A
- 1:07:11Speaker 8: lot of people think it was Jonah, but they called
- 1:07:13Speaker 8: him Joe for Shaw Job is the same person. Now
- 1:07:24Speaker 8: her boyfriend corrected that it's Jonah.
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: Was in the well.
- 1:07:30Speaker 8: Joan had boils and was tested by saying that was
- 1:07:34Speaker 8: there was no desert for him for forty years.
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: And that's what he's just corrected him more. But now
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: here we go, this is what.
- 1:07:42Speaker 8: And then the pastors spoke and started mispronouncing names from
- 1:07:46Speaker 8: the Bible, and hollered and sweating, and your man started laughing.
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: Let us go, and he can read a verse from
- 1:07:53Speaker 8: the Bible.
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: Please, ah Daniel, Daniel went down to the lions.
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: Then are we reading from the book of I don't know.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: I just knew that script.
- 1:08:05Speaker 8: Well, if it's Daniel down in the lines, then we
- 1:08:09Speaker 8: must be reading from the book of Daniel.
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Come on now, from the Book of Dan. A yell
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: or read, Uh, man, I'm not in the book. I
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: changed book, man.
- 1:08:25Speaker 8: And I go ahead and change. Fine, I'll follow, all right.
- 1:08:29Speaker 8: Uh read something from from a Theplonus.
- 1:08:34Speaker 12: The yes.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Don't nobody preaching that numb But okay't that's Alonians.
- 1:08:44Speaker 8: Well then if you don't want to read from that,
- 1:08:46Speaker 8: read from Exodus.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: That would be Exodus.
- 1:08:54Speaker 3: You don't.
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: You don't correct me. You must thank you the doctor
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: in this letter. Now now, I just hell, I'm here
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: for you, and I read from the second book in
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: the Bible. Right behind Jenias read from do that day Ronald.
- 1:09:10Speaker 11: Oh, I'm still stuck on I'm still stuck on Jenia's
- 1:09:16Speaker 11: I've got to find that very And then I want
- 1:09:19Speaker 11: you all.
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: To get ready to turn to first close ride first. Okay,
- 1:09:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna say this.
- 1:09:32Speaker 11: I know that the doctor's over there saying a lot,
- 1:09:34Speaker 11: but we're gonna have to start having no bias day.
- 1:09:37Speaker 8: And then we're gonna turn to the Brook of Proverbs.
- 1:09:41Speaker 8: We're gonna read from Proverbs and that would be the
- 1:09:44Speaker 8: end of it. And then we're gonna and then we're
- 1:09:46Speaker 8: gonna close out with.
- 1:09:48Speaker 2: Peace arms and that all to do it for it,
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: that'll be all our looks for today. Why don't you.

- 1:12:28Speaker 10: Come on, here we go tonight.
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: We got it, man.
- 1:12:32Speaker 4: You know, we got Michigan and Michigan and Yukon tonight
- 1:12:37Speaker 4: for the men's championship.
- 1:12:40Speaker 10: Oh man, Michigan, man, they they they.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Put it on Arizona. They almost won by twenty, they
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: won by eighteen. And then you know, Yukon one by
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: nine over Illinois.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: So now we got.
- 1:12:50Speaker 4: Yukon in Michigan tonight for the men's championship. And you
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: said Michigan was gonna beat Arizona.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: You did call it.
- 1:12:57Speaker 10: You did say Michigan was gonna beat Arizona.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: Yeah, but that boy hurt man. Now, I don't know.
- 1:13:02Speaker 2: They're gonna have to shoot him up. They're gonna put
- 1:13:04Speaker 2: that freeze on on him, and they're gonna have to
- 1:13:06Speaker 2: put it. Man, you can call it. Medicine is with
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: you get that dope and that boy got to get

- 1:13:19Speaker 2: it is, Sureley.
- 1:13:20Speaker 9: I said, medicine, doctor messcribed, medicine prescribed.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: Yes, I have a team doctor in the staff.
- 1:13:29Speaker 9: I'm on, he knows this.
- 1:13:32Speaker 8: Gonna get some horse trink, Lisa, I'll tell you what

- 1:13:43Speaker 2: So how you feel like Michigan or you cut I'm
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: Michigan all day, all day.

- 1:13:59Speaker 1: of the can.

- 1:14:04Speaker 9: needs advice. We'll get into it right after this. You're
- 1:14:07Speaker 9: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So
- 1:14:14Speaker 9: this is from Kresha and Tulsa. Teresia says. Krisha says,
- 1:14:18Speaker 9: my boyfriend and I broke up, but we live together.
- 1:14:21Speaker 9: He won't move because he's done a lot of renovations
- 1:14:24Speaker 9: on our house. My mom lives with us, so I
- 1:14:27Speaker 9: would have to find a place for both of us.
- 1:14:29Speaker 9: He expects me to work out a plan for us
- 1:14:32Speaker 9: to live together. I was honest with him, and I
- 1:14:34Speaker 9: told him that I'm dating someone else. He said, that's fine,
- 1:14:37Speaker 9: but we can't let our new love interest come over
- 1:14:39Speaker 9: to the house. I love my home, But will this work?
- 1:14:43Speaker 9: Do I let him win or move out of the house?
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: Are you crazy? This is a situation. Are you crazy?
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: It ain't working out now?
- 1:14:55Speaker 12: No?
- 1:14:56Speaker 2: Hello?
- 1:14:57Speaker 8: Yeah, and you must have broke up some time ago.
- 1:14:59Speaker 8: Be because now you got a new boyfriend.
- 1:15:01Speaker 9: Yeah, you're dating of it.
- 1:15:02Speaker 2: Y'all been living in the same house your mama lived at.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: This is crazy. Is him and your mama talking? Do
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: they speak? Are you speaking to him? Are you all
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: cordial with each other?
- 1:15:17Speaker 9: What?
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: Because he obviously he.
- 1:15:19Speaker 8: Said, we can't let our love interests come in the way.
- 1:15:21Speaker 8: This house we've got now, and you can't let your
- 1:15:24Speaker 8: love interest come.
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: Over to the house.
- 1:15:28Speaker 9: Yeah, he's done the renovations on the house, so that's
- 1:15:30Speaker 9: why he doesn't want to leave.
- 1:15:33Speaker 2: Man, I'm not staying in No foolishness like this. No,
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: this is too crazy. All right.
- 1:15:40Speaker 8: Sometimes, man'll y'all gotta learn how to chalk these losses up,
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: these ales as losses.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, why can't you just yeah, but quit looking.
- 1:15:48Speaker 2: At it as a loss. Sometimes the al is learning.
- 1:15:52Speaker 9: Okay, I like that. Yeah, all right, we have time
- 1:15:57Speaker 9: for another one. This is from Frisha in High Points.
- 1:16:00Speaker 9: Frischa says, I have a fetish. I love sniffing my
- 1:16:03Speaker 9: man and sleeping with my head in the crook of
- 1:16:06Speaker 9: his neck so I can smell him. I prefer for
- 1:16:09Speaker 9: him to have natural body odor instead of smelling like
- 1:16:11Speaker 9: cologne or body oils. I love his manly scent. I
- 1:16:15Speaker 9: even sleep in his dirty shirts when he's not at
- 1:16:18Speaker 9: my house. My man thinks I'm gross, and he said
- 1:16:20Speaker 9: he's not going to walk around being funky for me.
- 1:16:24Speaker 9: Why does he have to shower before bed? Is it
- 1:16:26Speaker 9: too much to ask for him to smell manly for me?
- 1:16:29Speaker 9: What in the.
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: There with somebody fresh off the trail? The trail?
- 1:16:42Speaker 8: Wo wow, hiking baby? Come on, get in this bed,
- 1:16:47Speaker 8: don't you down? Take no shower?
- 1:16:51Speaker 2: I wouish you would.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: I want my man in his smelling like a wild
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: animal smell.
- 1:16:57Speaker 9: She calls it manly.
- 1:17:00Speaker 2: Come on in here you big will debast. Come on.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: You know how uncomfortable he is with her sleeping up
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: under his neck?
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: Yeah, all night long, and.
- 1:17:13Speaker 9: He said she's gross and he's not gonna walk around
- 1:17:16Speaker 9: funky being funky for her.
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: Have to get over it. Yeah about a mass thank
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: for you?
- 1:17:26Speaker 10: When she get instruction site and she loved it?
- 1:17:29Speaker 9: Yeah? Yeah, Well when will she allow him to Well,
- 1:17:33Speaker 9: I guess he can shower, but he just can't put
- 1:17:35Speaker 9: on body oil or cologne.
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: H you just came from a gym. Come in, come
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: on out your toilet and bring it on over here.
- 1:17:50Speaker 9: Just always take it too far.

- 1:17:59Speaker 9: Come on, come off.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Nah, that's what I'm talking about. You got the flu?
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: Come give it to Come give me that flu.
- 1:18:18Speaker 9: Wow, this is just I've never heard.

- 1:18:31Speaker 2: Don't you turn that fan on? Let us sim.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Why does he have to shower before bed?
- 1:18:40Speaker 11: She asks?
- 1:18:41Speaker 5: What he's.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: Yeah, this is not good.
- 1:18:48Speaker 9: They're gonna break up. They're gonna break up. Yeah, coming up,
- 1:18:52Speaker 9: we'll have more of.
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: The Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're listening

- 1:20:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know.

- 1:21:23Speaker 9: Would you rather eat your wife's cooking or would you

- 1:21:39Speaker 9: Would you rather?

- 1:21:57Speaker 11: I'm a just a big Sam fan. I am because
- 1:22:00Speaker 11: because he gonna cuss me out till I get it right.
- 1:22:02Speaker 11: I'm gonna get it right.
- 1:22:03Speaker 8: Well, the reason I'm gonna pick Sam is because he
- 1:22:05Speaker 8: gonna let me cuss. Good job, Let's go play some golf.
- 1:22:12Speaker 9: Yeah, well, what if the script doesn't call for cussing?
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: Then what why is we doing it? I think Sam?
- 1:22:22Speaker 10: I don't know why he's cussing in the script. Sam,
- 1:22:25Speaker 10: that was night that don't belong?
- 1:22:26Speaker 2: Now?
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: What is going in there?
- 1:22:29Speaker 11: All right?
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: Would you rather get rid of all your facial hair?
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: Or would you rather have a big old belly?
- 1:22:35Speaker 11: I got to take the stomach. I need this a
- 1:22:38Speaker 11: little bit. I got the stomach, Hey me talking about?
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: I got both of them now.
- 1:22:44Speaker 9: Anyways, all right, would you rather baked chicken that's over
- 1:22:52Speaker 9: seasoned or just doesn't have any season at seasoning at all?
- 1:22:57Speaker 4: Overseas overseason I'm gonna say something, though, what do you
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: mean shicken?
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: Really softy? Y'all know that?
- 1:23:04Speaker 10: But you know it's real South you that all?
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: You some of it, dime, you passed some of it all.
- 1:23:12Speaker 10: I'm the light hated.
- 1:23:15Speaker 9: All right, let's stick with the food. Would you rather
- 1:23:18Speaker 9: eat Hamburger helper every day for two weeks? Or would
- 1:23:21Speaker 9: you rather eat ramen noodles every day for two weeks?
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: All eat that Hamburger helper for four years, all through school?
- 1:23:28Speaker 2: I think I had years through school.
- 1:23:31Speaker 8: Yeah, he was after me. See that's goin. Noodles came later.
- 1:23:35Speaker 8: You worried Hamburger them noodles is just what they say.
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: Hey, noodle, it needs some help.
- 1:23:45Speaker 10: Oh he did put Damie wingers in them and everything

- 1:23:52Speaker 9: how you love fishing, Steve, you love fishing? Would you
- 1:23:56Speaker 9: rather go fishing with Donald Trump? Or would you rather
- 1:24:00Speaker 9: share a fish sandwich with your eggs? Which one.
- 1:24:04Speaker 2: With Trump?
- 1:24:05Speaker 9: Be out there with Trump?
- 1:24:06Speaker 2: What I shouldn't have beating nothing with my egg nothing?
- 1:24:15Speaker 9: The cut of this one.
- 1:24:16Speaker 2: That's a hard one, man, Yeah, that's a hard one.
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: Sitting on that boat with Donald Trump. You can believe
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: that you.
- 1:24:24Speaker 9: Can cut the fish sandwich in half and give her
- 1:24:26Speaker 9: her half and you eat your what you'd rather just
- 1:24:30Speaker 9: catch some fish?
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: Guys? That's today's rounded. Would you rather thank you?
- 1:24:36Speaker 9: Coming up next? And it is our last break of
- 1:24:38Speaker 9: the day, and we'll close out the show with the
- 1:24:40Speaker 9: one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:24:51Speaker 12: Do you ever notice your floor still look dirty even
- 1:24:54Speaker 12: after you mop? Power Mop gives you a deeper clean
- 1:24:57Speaker 12: you can see and feel. Unlike stream Mop, Swift for
- 1:25:00Speaker 12: power Mop absorbs more dirt and locks it away even
- 1:25:04Speaker 12: and hard to reach places like behind the toilet. The
- 1:25:07Speaker 12: new micro scrubbers deliver thousands of tiny, deep cleaning actions
- 1:25:11Speaker 12: for results that look, smell, and feel clean.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: No more dirty floors. Try the swear for power Mop.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: Love it or your money back.
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: All right, guys, here we are last break of the
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: day and Steves on you to close us out.
- 1:25:25Speaker 8: You know it's the day after Easter, right, So I
- 1:25:30Speaker 8: just want to remind people about your faith.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: Listen.
- 1:25:33Speaker 8: I've grown into this type of person. I've seen so
- 1:25:36Speaker 8: many things online criticizing me about trying to start a
- 1:25:40Speaker 8: new religion mixing Islam with Christianity.
- 1:25:44Speaker 2: Which is not true.
- 1:25:46Speaker 8: But there's even a pastor that went online and said
- 1:25:50Speaker 8: he's trying to make two religions.
- 1:25:52Speaker 2: Now who he think he is?
- 1:25:54Speaker 8: Christianity and Islam don't mix. I'll just be listening to people,
- 1:25:58Speaker 8: here's the truth if you want to.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: Hear what it is.
- 1:26:03Speaker 8: I've said that I've grown to be a person to
- 1:26:06Speaker 8: understand all faiths and allow people the grace to believe
- 1:26:10Speaker 8: what it is they were raised to believe. That is
- 1:26:14Speaker 8: my take on religion. I have quite a few relationships
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: with people who are Muslim. I have some Muslims that
- 1:26:23Speaker 8: I absolutely love.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: I have some.
- 1:26:26Speaker 8: Muslims that have been friends to me more than any
- 1:26:30Speaker 8: other Christian has. I know some Muslims who have told
- 1:26:34Speaker 8: me the truth about how they really feel. I've had
- 1:26:37Speaker 8: some people in that faith man just show some real character. Now,
- 1:26:43Speaker 8: as in all faiths, we got bad people. But I
- 1:26:46Speaker 8: know some outstanding Christians. I know some people who are
- 1:26:49Speaker 8: men of God that are just outstanding, that have kept
- 1:26:52Speaker 8: me man and out of harm's way with advice and
- 1:26:56Speaker 8: things of that nature. I know some great Christian men.
- 1:27:00Speaker 8: I have some Christian men who matter in my life.
- 1:27:04Speaker 8: So what I've grown into, though, is a person that
- 1:27:10Speaker 8: has enough sense to not be judgmental. It's not my
- 1:27:16Speaker 8: call how this thing will work out. Even though I
- 1:27:20Speaker 8: believe in the Bible, it's still not my call to
- 1:27:23Speaker 8: make judgments on other people and how it will work
- 1:27:26Speaker 8: out for them.
- 1:27:29Speaker 2: It's just not my call, and I choose not to
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: make it mine.
- 1:27:33Speaker 8: Now you can get mad at me because you won't
- 1:27:35Speaker 8: hear me say this, but see, listen to me talking
- 1:27:39Speaker 8: against somebody's faith ain't gonna make yours no bigger, no better,
- 1:27:44Speaker 8: or no stronger.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: So why do it the way I choose to live.
- 1:27:50Speaker 8: If I've decided to discuss and find more of the
- 1:27:55Speaker 8: similarities in us than the differences, that's what's keeping us
- 1:27:59Speaker 8: apart right now in this world. We keep going over
- 1:28:02Speaker 8: the differences. But you know what, there are a lot
- 1:28:04Speaker 8: of similarities. I was talking to a Muslim one day.
- 1:28:08Speaker 8: You know what he told me, and it threw me
- 1:28:11Speaker 8: off because you know, this was a while back, but
- 1:28:14Speaker 8: you know, I didn't know how they felt about Christianity.
- 1:28:19Speaker 8: I don't really know how Christians feel about Muslims. I
- 1:28:21Speaker 8: really don't know exactly because you hear so many different takes.
- 1:28:25Speaker 8: But you know what this Muslim man told me. He's
- 1:28:27Speaker 8: a young guy too, he says, Steve, we understand Jesus Christ.
- 1:28:32Speaker 8: He said, Jesus is mentioned in the Koran twenty five times.
- 1:28:40Speaker 8: He said that Jesus is mentioned more times in the
- 1:28:44Speaker 8: Koran than some major Muslim figures that you would think.
- 1:28:49Speaker 8: And I don't want to quote exactly what he said
- 1:28:51Speaker 8: because I don't want to misquoted. There somebody go, well,
- 1:28:53Speaker 8: that ain't true, that ain't true.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: But this is what he was saying. So he had
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: a respect for my faith. I in turn have a
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: respect for his faith. But this is what I do know.
- 1:29:06Speaker 8: For most people. Most people will be whatever they mother was.
- 1:29:10Speaker 8: Whatever your mother birst you into this world, ass that's
- 1:29:13Speaker 8: what you will be. My mother bore me into this
- 1:29:15Speaker 8: world as a Christian, That's what I am. I spend
- 1:29:18Speaker 8: a lot of time in the Middle East, in a
- 1:29:20Speaker 8: Muslim country, and guess what, I get along just fine.
- 1:29:25Speaker 8: So on this day that they recognize as a resurrection
- 1:29:31Speaker 8: of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, I acknowledge that fully.
- 1:29:36Speaker 8: It has been the cornerstone of my life. It has
- 1:29:39Speaker 8: been the cornerstone of my faith. It is the cornerstone
- 1:29:42Speaker 8: of my whole existence. When I get in trouble, I
- 1:29:46Speaker 8: know no name more powerful than his, and I use it,
- 1:29:50Speaker 8: and I call it on a consistent level and on
- 1:29:53Speaker 8: a consistent basis. And you can say whatever you want
- 1:29:56Speaker 8: to say about me it don't matter to me no
- 1:29:59Speaker 8: more because I got to live my life just like
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: you got to live your life. But we got to
- 1:30:06Speaker 8: live in this world, y'all. Than the world ain't just
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: the United States of America. This world includes Africa and
- 1:30:17Speaker 8: all the beliefs that are over there in Africa, all
- 1:30:20Speaker 8: the different languages that are there in Africa, all of
- 1:30:23Speaker 8: the different cultural things that are in Africa.
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: It belongs in.
- 1:30:27Speaker 8: This world and it exists. So it is with Asia,
- 1:30:32Speaker 8: so it is with Europe, so it is with any
- 1:30:34Speaker 8: other place you want to look at. We all live
- 1:30:37Speaker 8: in this world, and we were all created by God.
- 1:30:40Speaker 8: We are all children of God. Now what they believe
- 1:30:44Speaker 8: over there and being over there and over here and
- 1:30:46Speaker 8: over there, because it don't match yours. Man, I got
- 1:30:48Speaker 8: news for you. I don't really know how God gonna
- 1:30:52Speaker 8: let this thing all play out. The Bible says that
- 1:30:55Speaker 8: it'll play this away, and okay, but do you really
- 1:30:59Speaker 8: know so how God is looking at this? And I
- 1:31:02Speaker 8: don't think you do. I just don't think. Well, I
- 1:31:08Speaker 8: can't say that. I can't say that I don't think
- 1:31:10Speaker 8: you do. Let me just say this right here. I
- 1:31:13Speaker 8: don't think you have the right to sit up and
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: say what God gonna do and how God is. You
- 1:31:18Speaker 8: can pass some judgments on a couple of things, but
- 1:31:21Speaker 8: in the end you really don't know how He gonna
- 1:31:24Speaker 8: make this thing work out. So I respect everybody's faith,
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: do it as you will or may. As long as
- 1:31:29Speaker 8: you're a kind, a righteous person and try to treat
- 1:31:32Speaker 8: others with love and dignity, then I got respect for
- 1:31:35Speaker 8: you and I will continue to respect them. And shout
- 1:31:39Speaker 8: out to all my friends around the world. Whatever faith
- 1:31:41Speaker 8: you are, Steve Harvey got love for you, appreciate it.
- 1:31:44Speaker 8: Those are my closing remarks today. Y'all have a good one,
- 1:31:48Speaker 8: happy belated Easter and everything to go with it from
