- 0:00Good morning, everyone. This is Dina.
- 0:03We are in Season 2, Episode 2, and the episode for today is on building emotional stability.
- 0:10So welcome back to Mentor365. Today we are going to talk about something that
- 0:16doesn't get enough attention in the healing space world, and that is emotional stability.
- 0:22Not emotional perfection, not never feeling sad, angry, or overwhelmed,
- 0:27but emotional stability.
- 0:30The ability to feel your emotions without being controlled by them,
- 0:34the ability to experience life without constantly feeling like you are on a motion roller coaster.
- 0:40For a long time, many of us learned how to survive by reacting.
- 0:45When someone hurt us, we lash out. When something disappoint us, we shut down.
- 0:51When something triggered us, we spiraled.
- 0:55And at the time, that made sense. We were protecting ourselves.
- 1:00We were trying to cope. We were doing the best we could with what we knew.
- 1:04But healing teaches you something different.
- 1:08Healing teaches you how to pause. It's teaching you how to breathe before you respond.
- 1:14It teaches you how to check in with yourself before you speak.
- 1:18It teaches you how to separate what is happening right now from what's happening
- 1:23in the past. It teaches you how to recognize when you are reacting from a wound
- 1:30instead of responding from wisdom.
- 1:33Emotional stability begins when you stop asking yourself this question.
- 1:38How do I get rid of this feeling?
- 1:41And start asking, what is this feeling trying to tell me or trying to teach me?
- 1:47Every emotion carries information. Sadness tells you something matters.
- 1:54Anger tells you something crossed a boundary.
- 1:58Anxiety tells you something feels uncertain.
- 2:02Disappointment tells you your expectations were not met.
- 2:07Loneliness tells you you need desired connection.
- 2:12None of these emotions are wrong. They are messengers.
- 2:16And when you learn how to listen to them, instead of fighting them,
- 2:20you become more grounded.
- 2:22Being emotionally stable does not mean you never cry.
- 2:27It means you don't drown in your tears. It does not mean you never get upset.
- 2:32It means you don't lose control when you are It does not mean you never feel
- 2:37insecure It means you know how to reassure yourself.
- 2:42One of the most powerful things you can learn is how to self-regulate,
- 2:46how to calm yourself down without needing someone else to fix it,
- 2:52how to talk to yourself kindly when things go wrong, how to ground yourself
- 2:57when your mind starts racing,
- 2:59how to create safety inside your own body. That is strength.
- 3:04When you become emotionally stable, your relationship changes.
- 3:08You stop arguing just to be heard. You stop chasing validation.
- 3:12You stop taking everything personally. You stop overthinking every little interaction.
- 3:18You start communicating clearly.
- 3:20You start setting boundaries calmly. You start choosing peace over proving a point.
- 3:25You become a safe place for yourself and for others.
- 3:30But let me be very honest with you guys. Emotional stability takes practice. It takes awareness.
- 3:38It takes reflection. It takes humility. It takes the willingness to say,
- 3:43I could have handled that better without shame.
- 3:46It takes the courage to apologize when necessary. It takes discipline to choose growth over ego.
- 3:53And sometimes it takes sitting with uncomfortable feelings instead of escaping them.
- 4:00There will be days when you feel triggered. There will be moments when your old wounds resurface.
- 4:07There will be situations that test your patient.
- 4:10That does not mean you are failing. It means you are human.
- 4:14Growth is not about never falling back. It's about recovering faster.
- 4:20It's about recognizing patterns sooner. It's about choosing healthier responses more often.
- 4:28Your nervous system is learning.
- 4:30Safety. Your mind is a learning clarity. Your heart is a learning trust.
- 4:37Give yourself grace. One way to strengthen your emotional stability is through daily check-ins.
- 4:44Ask yourself this question. How am I feeling today? What do I need right now? What am I avoiding?
- 4:51What am I proud of? These simple questions keep you connected to yourself.
- 4:56They prevent emotional buildup. they create self-awareness. Another way is learning when to rest.
- 5:04Emotional instability often comes from exhaustion.
- 5:07When you are tired, overwhelmed, or burnt out, everything feels heavier.
- 5:13Rest is not laziness, it's maintenance.
- 5:16It is care, it is prevention.
- 5:19You are not weak for needing breaks, you are wise for taking them.
- 5:24As you continue healing forward, remember this, You are becoming someone who
- 5:30can hold space for their emotions without being consumed by them.
- 5:34You are becoming someone who can experience life deeply without losing themselves.
- 5:40You are becoming someone who responds with wisdom instead of reacting from pain.
- 5:47That is emotional maturity, that is growth, and that is powerful.
- 5:51Keep practicing, keep learning, keep choosing balance. You are doing incredible
- 5:57work within yourself, even on a daze it does not feel like it. But I am so proud of you.
- 6:03Take care and God bless.
