- 2:08Speaker 10: one and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. I
- 2:11Speaker 10: thank God for it every day. I try to remember
- 2:14Speaker 10: that too, you know. I try to remember to be grateful.
- 2:18Speaker 10: I think gratitude is one of the things that helps
- 2:22Speaker 10: keep me grounded. You can go as far as you
- 2:24Speaker 10: want in life. If you don't mind who gets the credit.
- 2:27Speaker 10: Well that applies to God too, don't it. I mean,
- 2:30Speaker 10: you know, really, if you don't mind who gets the credit.
- 2:34Speaker 10: I'm surrounded by very competent people. I'm surrounded by a
- 2:39Speaker 10: lot of people who work hard on their jobs on
- 2:43Speaker 10: their career, who are dedicated employees and also just dedicated
- 2:50Speaker 10: to their families and you know, dedicated to their own
- 2:53Speaker 10: set of aspirations. I don't expect anybody to work for
- 2:57Speaker 10: me forever. I always look at my job opportunities are
- 3:01Speaker 10: stepping stones because I want everyone around me really to
- 3:05Speaker 10: aspire to be more. I mean, that's really the way
- 3:09Speaker 10: I am. I'm not any other way. I'm not trying
- 3:11Speaker 10: to hold you to this position. You know, tell you
- 3:15Speaker 10: there's no room for growth, any of that. But even
- 3:19Speaker 10: though I'm surrounded by these people, I'm grateful that God
- 3:24Speaker 10: placed them in my path, in my life. But in
- 3:31Speaker 10: my mind, in my spirit, in everything in me, the
- 3:37Speaker 10: credit still belongs to God. I'm sorry. The credit still
- 3:43Speaker 10: belongs to God. See if you would, just for a moment,
- 3:50Speaker 10: stop thinking about yourself, just for a moment. I know
- 3:53Speaker 10: that's hard, but just for a moment, stop thinking about
- 3:57Speaker 10: yourself and realize that maybe you are who you are
- 4:01Speaker 10: because God is who he is. Maybe that's the case.
- 4:05Speaker 10: Have you ever considered that? That's the strongest possibility I
- 4:09Speaker 10: can give to you? You know, how do you think
- 4:14Speaker 10: you the one that made it through? How you think
- 4:17Speaker 10: you the one after all of the ignorant decisions we
- 4:21Speaker 10: have made? And oh my goodness, let's all be honest.
- 4:25Speaker 10: Ain't we made some crazy decisions? I'm talking about, man,
- 4:29Speaker 10: I have made decisions so adverse to my destiny and career,
- 4:34Speaker 10: my promises. I've made some decisions man, knowingly you hear
- 4:40Speaker 10: me knowingly do something wrong, and in spite of all that,
- 4:45Speaker 10: I'm still here standing. Okay, come on now, really, really,
- 4:50Speaker 10: all the dirt you'd bene done, everybody done dirt, all
- 4:55Speaker 10: the mistakes you've made, you in the position you in
- 4:59Speaker 10: today because of what? Because you all that? Because you
- 5:03Speaker 10: work harder than anybody else. Look, I work hard, I'll
- 5:08Speaker 10: be I'll tell you in a minute.
- 5:10Speaker 2: I work hard.
- 5:10Speaker 10: But I don't think I'm the hardest working person out there.
- 5:14Speaker 10: I'm pretty sure somebody done work way harder than I have.
- 5:17Speaker 10: So okay, so you work hard? Okay, cool, I got
- 5:20Speaker 10: all that. But man, what about his grace and his mercy?
- 5:28Speaker 10: What about his favor? How many times man you done
- 5:32Speaker 10: relied on that, even when you ain't know you was
- 5:35Speaker 10: relying on it? How many times man God done shown
- 5:38Speaker 10: you mercy? You ain't even deserve it? Do you know
- 5:41Speaker 10: how many things I've done wrong? I just ain't get
- 5:44Speaker 10: caught at it?
- 5:46Speaker 2: You know. Let me see how simple I can be?
- 5:49Speaker 10: You speed, you jwall, You lie to police when you
- 5:56Speaker 10: get pulled over that you wasn't speeding. You go to
- 5:58Speaker 10: court and argue you were and speeding when you was.
- 6:02Speaker 10: You make u turns. I'm just doing traffic violations. Now,
- 6:08Speaker 10: let's get off traffic for a second. Let's get on
- 6:11Speaker 10: human violations. You talk about people when you're not supposed to.
- 6:18Speaker 10: You indulge yourself in gossip even when you don't really.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Have all the facts.
- 6:23Speaker 10: You pass judgment, You lust for people that don't belong
- 6:28Speaker 10: to you. You say things to people that you're not
- 6:33Speaker 10: supposed to say. So look, all of us, we all,
- 6:40Speaker 10: we're all guilty.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Now.
- 6:42Speaker 10: See I'm not saying you do all of that, but
- 6:45Speaker 10: I'm saying I'm pretty sure I hit you somewhere in there,
- 6:48Speaker 10: just somewhere in there. You donet lied before, you know
- 6:52Speaker 10: you lied recently. I mean, come on, And I'm just
- 6:54Speaker 10: saying so with all that in mind, See, I'm just
- 6:57Speaker 10: looking at the little things that we do that we
- 6:59Speaker 10: don't get. Buck not to mention the chips you stole
- 7:02Speaker 10: when you was a kid and nobody caught you.
- 7:05Speaker 2: Well, that elevated, didn't it.
- 7:06Speaker 10: Some of y'all just didn't stop stealing, and next thing
- 7:09Speaker 10: you know you was in a car. Now you're sitting
- 7:11Speaker 10: somewhere you don't want to be sitting because of a
- 7:13Speaker 10: decision you made. But through his grace and mercy, couldn't
- 7:17Speaker 10: it have been worse?
- 7:18Speaker 2: Though?
- 7:18Speaker 10: Without his grace and mercy, could not it have been worse.
- 7:22Speaker 10: I know two dudes that got caught in the garage
- 7:24Speaker 10: one time trying to break in somebody's house, and the
- 7:27Speaker 10: person in the house they broke into just happened to
- 7:29Speaker 10: have a gun and held them in the garage, caught
- 7:34Speaker 10: them and held them to the garage to the police car.
- 7:37Speaker 10: That's Grace and Mercy right there, because they had all
- 7:39Speaker 10: full right to.
- 7:40Speaker 2: Shoot these two people, but they didn't. They're Grace and Mercy.
- 7:44Speaker 10: See, all of us have benefited from his grace and mercy.
- 7:48Speaker 10: All of us have done a wrong, committed a sin,
- 7:51Speaker 10: broken the law, and somehow, through his grace and mercy,
- 7:54Speaker 10: got by, doing drugs, buying drugs, slanging drugs, doing something,
- 7:59Speaker 10: got by on somebody for no reason, got by, you know.
- 8:03Speaker 10: So see how you figure with all that that can
- 8:08Speaker 10: go on in your life? And then hold on, let
- 8:10Speaker 10: me throw a couple more at you. You can't wake
- 8:13Speaker 10: yourself up in the morning, mister big shot, you don't
- 8:18Speaker 10: have the ability to control the breaths that you take. Really,
- 8:23Speaker 10: mister big shot, really, let's get real basic with it now.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You can't wake yourself up in the morning.
- 8:31Speaker 10: That's favor, that's grace, that's mercy, that's Him allowing you
- 8:39Speaker 10: to wake up just hoping we get it right. You know,
- 8:44Speaker 10: God spared me through all the dirt I was doing
- 8:46Speaker 10: just hoping. One day, man, can you just straighten up
- 8:48Speaker 10: a little bit? When I finally straightened up, and I'm
- 8:52Speaker 10: gonna just say it, straightened up a little bit. See,
- 8:54Speaker 10: I ain't straightened up all the way. Say I ain't
- 8:57Speaker 10: gonna sit here and tell you that I just straightened
- 8:59Speaker 10: up a little bit. He started blessing me. So the
- 9:02Speaker 10: more blessings I got start going, Man, maybe I'll try
- 9:04Speaker 10: straighten up a little bit more. So I straightened up
- 9:06Speaker 10: a little bit more. I still got a long way
- 9:08Speaker 10: to go, but I'm straighter than I was now. When
- 9:11Speaker 10: people judging me, and as they will, and they do
- 9:13Speaker 10: because that ain't right, but they do, and I ain't
- 9:16Speaker 10: walking just the way they walk, then here come to criticism.
- 9:19Speaker 2: I get it all the time.
- 9:20Speaker 10: Stop wanting credit all the time and give out some
- 9:23Speaker 10: credit where credit is due, instead of having somebody patting
- 9:27Speaker 10: you on your back all the time.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Why don't you tell God kill people it was.
- 9:30Speaker 10: Really was God, man that you don't really know how
- 9:33Speaker 10: you made it that really man, you have no explanation
- 9:36Speaker 10: for your success or you have no explanation why you
- 9:38Speaker 10: still exist in today. Why don't you tell somebody it
- 9:41Speaker 10: was God today. Don't be ashamed. It's the truth, ain't it.
- 9:45Speaker 10: I mean, really, man, let's give God some credit here.
- 9:49Speaker 10: Give God the credit and the glory and the honor.
- 9:51Speaker 10: And like that plaque said, you can go as far
- 9:53Speaker 10: as you want in life if you don't mind who
- 9:55Speaker 10: gets the credit.
- 9:56Speaker 11: All right, you're listening morning show.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Wake up, Wake up, wake up, rise and shine. Get
- 10:04Speaker 6: yourself that stretch that morning yoning, sit on the edge
- 10:07Speaker 6: of the bed. You got to thank the man and
- 10:09Speaker 6: then you got to get up, get out and get something.
- 10:11Speaker 2: It is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:14Speaker 6: That is the baddest show in the lane, baddest radio
- 10:18Speaker 6: show in the lane.
- 10:18Speaker 2: It's a nephew, hold it down well.

- 10:36Speaker 6: twenty twenty three. All right, all minds clear as we
- 10:39Speaker 6: take it on into the end of twenty twenty three.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Now, this has probably been.
- 10:45Speaker 6: The most broken version of me this year, probably the
- 10:51Speaker 6: most broken version you mean, but also what you mean,
- 10:54Speaker 6: it's broken, just just you know, just it's it's been
- 10:57Speaker 6: a journey for me. It's been a journey, but it's
- 10:59Speaker 6: all so been the strong at the same time. Does
- 11:02Speaker 6: that make an absolutely well, you make sense.
- 11:04Speaker 1: But we didn't know that.
- 11:06Speaker 4: You said broken. Bro bro myself.
- 11:10Speaker 2: I broke.
- 11:11Speaker 4: Yeah, when you break a hell boat when you do.
- 11:13Speaker 6: That, he broke. Nah, just been through a hell of
- 11:18Speaker 6: a storm. That's all right, man.
- 11:20Speaker 1: You're still here surviving your warrior.
- 11:23Speaker 6: I want to talk about somebody that ain't complaining? Boy,
- 11:26Speaker 6: what am not here to complain? I'm saying thank you
- 11:30Speaker 6: every single morning that I am still here, still living,
- 11:33Speaker 6: still slinging these jokes, still having fun with y'all on

- 24:01Speaker 6: for word, Burt badim in sync with him, and my
- 24:04Speaker 6: mama beat my behind. But to your boys, why you

- 24:29Speaker 4: College. Go to truck with y'all own daddy. It's your stepdad.
- 24:33Speaker 12: It's not the fact that he's like going to church,
- 24:34Speaker 12: it's that he bringing the church home. They riding this
- 24:36Speaker 12: all day every day. Every day he at home, he
- 24:38Speaker 12: sounded like a sermon. Every day every day. It sounded
- 24:41Speaker 12: like a sermon in his He talking to him, he
- 24:43Speaker 12: talking to him, why on y'all go ahead and up
- 24:48Speaker 12: bring his grades up. You're coming in here, folk here
- 24:52Speaker 12: every day. Col you don't bathe in here, You don't
- 24:55Speaker 12: clean your rooms up, you don't cook, you eat everything
- 24:58Speaker 12: in the cabin. I want to say, see that every day.

- 34:09Speaker 9: Finally, well, it sounds like, how can you prove that
- 34:14Speaker 9: because of the lifestyle, it's such a common thing, you
- 34:18Speaker 9: would think.
- 34:19Speaker 1: And then you had a friend that you grew up with,
- 34:21Speaker 1: a white boy named Tommy and you know it's layers
- 34:25Speaker 1: to with the bills. Stand up, that's what But so
- 34:29Speaker 1: many people do that though that story is about me,

- 34:34Speaker 1: a lot.
- 34:34Speaker 11: Anyway, Finally, guys, there might be trouble in paradise for
- 34:39Speaker 11: Cardi B and her offset. They have unfollowed each other

- 37:16Speaker 11: when it's almost over. When you see the tunnel, I
- 37:19Speaker 11: saw the tunnel. I didn't see the light. It was
- 37:22Speaker 11: hot in that tunnel too. I don't know where I

- 38:17Speaker 2: He walked up there.
- 38:20Speaker 1: Yeah, there's some privacy.
- 38:23Speaker 11: Maybe one day, you know, if he writes his memoirs
- 38:26Speaker 11: or you know, somebody does his life story or something,

- 38:50Speaker 11: altering situation, you appreciate life more.
- 38:53Speaker 1: And Tommy, yeah, what, oh.

- 39:00Speaker 11: Coming up at thirty four minutes after the hour, there's
- 39:02Speaker 11: a video that went viral of a mom going up
- 39:05Speaker 11: to the school to discipline her son after he disrespected
- 39:08Speaker 11: his teacher.
- 39:09Speaker 1: We'll talk about it right after this.
- 39:12Speaker 11: You're listening hard Morning Show, all right, So, guys, we
- 39:17Speaker 11: saw this viral video of a black mom going up
- 39:19Speaker 11: to her son's school and snatching him up and taking
- 39:22Speaker 11: him outside to discipline him. Well, I won't say discipline.
- 39:26Speaker 11: She whipped his behind. I mean we we all witnessed that.
- 39:29Speaker 11: If you saw huh, I thought it was I thought
- 39:39Speaker 11: it was me I seen.
- 39:41Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 39:42Speaker 11: Well a lot of people thought, you know that what
- 39:45Speaker 11: she did was excessive. Uh, but it brought back memories
- 39:48Speaker 11: for some of us, for a lot of us as
- 39:50Speaker 11: a child. How are you guys disciplined?
- 39:53Speaker 4: I mean, was it.
- 39:56Speaker 8: Yeah?
- 39:57Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah, yeah, like my mommy and call me the
- 40:00Speaker 6: N word and all that stuff. I thought that was
- 40:02Speaker 6: a bit much. But but but beat my behind.
- 40:06Speaker 1: Yeah, no I ain't.
- 40:07Speaker 6: I ain't in no trouble. I ain't crossing no trouble.
- 40:10Speaker 6: I ain't trying to get in no trouble. And if
- 40:13Speaker 6: we I can't say that, what I think we need
- 40:17Speaker 6: to bring them ass whipping back. I'm just saying, I
- 40:19Speaker 6: just do.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I mean, yeah, they're not gonna do it.
- 40:24Speaker 2: We can have at the school, but it's us going
- 40:26Speaker 2: to the school.
- 40:29Speaker 1: Okay, they're not walked.
- 40:31Speaker 4: You're walking in the next day and say good morning missus.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Wilson right in there, got all the time tables, right,
- 40:38Speaker 2: didn't they?
- 40:38Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, we had no problem because for our parents,
- 40:42Speaker 11: there was one you couldn't.
- 40:44Speaker 1: They would not. That was the number one rule. They're
- 40:46Speaker 1: not coming off their jobs to come up.
- 40:49Speaker 11: To the school because you're up there acting a fool,
- 40:54Speaker 11: cutting up, Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, uh uh leaving no.
- 41:00Speaker 1: The end of the day.
- 41:01Speaker 9: You know, it's like what I tell my daughter, it's
- 41:04Speaker 9: I mean, she's not a little kid anymore. But growing up,
- 41:07Speaker 9: you can control your behavior. You can control your mouth
- 41:11Speaker 9: and your conduct in school. So don't be in there
- 41:15Speaker 9: disrespecting these teachers. It's a lot on educator, educators and teachers.
- 41:20Speaker 1: All what they have to deal with all day.
- 41:23Speaker 9: The bell rings every forty five minutes from middle school
- 41:26Speaker 9: in junior high. They turning over thirty and forty something
- 41:29Speaker 9: kids every all day, all day.
- 41:32Speaker 1: And you in there cutting up and all this and
- 41:34Speaker 1: all that. No noudnude, not mine nude.
- 41:37Speaker 2: Ye, yeah, no, you can't do that.
- 41:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 41:43Speaker 4: They call home and told they called my mama.
- 41:46Speaker 12: Teacher called my mama and told them that I was
- 41:48Speaker 12: in there and I wouldn't stop talking and acting them
- 41:50Speaker 12: cutting up and all distracting the class.
- 41:53Speaker 4: My daddy didn't go to work to day. He went
- 41:54Speaker 4: to school with me. He said, see the show. Yeah,
- 41:57Speaker 4: my daddy was a show.
- 41:58Speaker 1: What a show at Like?
- 42:00Speaker 4: I was so entertaining science.
- 42:02Speaker 12: I was enough talking about periodic table math class read.
- 42:07Speaker 4: I had my hand up for questions.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Not waiting to show.
- 42:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it is different when when when Delberd less to Do.
- 42:17Speaker 4: Had his own lass, he had a desk shirt.
- 42:19Speaker 7: He in the desk.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Yes, because it's a catch twenty two.
- 42:28Speaker 9: You you don't discipline and then people say, y'all not
- 42:31Speaker 9: disciplined in your kids, and these kids are not. They
- 42:35Speaker 9: just doing whatever they want. Then you know, you discipline
- 42:39Speaker 9: them and then they're like, well that's too harsh.
- 42:41Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 42:42Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, you can't win a lot of times,
- 42:45Speaker 1: you just can't win. But I don't know. I still
- 42:48Speaker 1: say the way we were raised, you know, because.
- 42:51Speaker 2: I like the way I was raised. I liked the
- 42:53Speaker 2: way we were raised.
- 42:54Speaker 11: I just didn't our parents believed in that that Bible
- 42:57Speaker 11: verse spare the rod, spoil the child, so that rod
- 43:01Speaker 11: was the belt.
- 43:01Speaker 1: On your behind.
- 43:03Speaker 2: That's what it was different.
- 43:07Speaker 9: So when did it change? When did it change with
- 43:10Speaker 9: parenting from the way we were raised? And why is
- 43:13Speaker 9: it different?
- 43:14Speaker 11: Y you know, that's a great question, because it has changed.
- 43:18Speaker 11: It definitely has changed. I think with us didn't a
- 43:21Speaker 11: lot of change with us.
- 43:22Speaker 13: We don't.
- 43:23Speaker 11: We don't beat our kids like we were beaten, So
- 43:26Speaker 11: a lot of it changed with us. We wanted to
- 43:28Speaker 11: raise our kids differently.
- 43:30Speaker 6: We wanted, yeah, we want to give them better. We
- 43:33Speaker 6: wanted to give them more things, to do more for them.
- 43:36Speaker 6: And by that, by what we did, we hindered them
- 43:39Speaker 6: at the same time.
- 43:40Speaker 1: Right exactly. Yeah, how's that working out for us?
- 43:45Speaker 2: We created monsters?
- 43:46Speaker 11: We should have beat them behind behind, Yes, for losers.
- 43:56Speaker 1: We every because we were going, we're all all that.
- 44:01Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, all right, thanks guys. Coming up next, it
- 44:04Speaker 11: is a nephew with today's prank phone call. Right after
- 44:07Speaker 11: this you're listening Hardy Morning Show. Coming up at about
- 44:13Speaker 11: four minutes after the hour. It's my Strawberry letter for today,
- 44:16Speaker 11: and the subject is she's getting more from him than money.
- 44:20Speaker 1: And guess what, it's a three parter. This is a
- 44:23Speaker 1: good one right here.
- 44:24Speaker 11: We'll get to it in just a few but right
- 44:26Speaker 11: now it is time for the nephew and today's prank
- 44:29Speaker 11: phone call.
- 44:30Speaker 1: What you got for his neph.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Surley.
- 44:34Speaker 6: We're looking for something special today is looking for something
- 44:38Speaker 6: very very special. We're looking for happy ending, happy ending. Yeah,
- 44:46Speaker 6: let's let the Mayonnate, let the marinate, all right, all right,
- 44:50Speaker 6: cat dog, if you would, let's see if we can
- 44:52Speaker 6: get up some happy ending.
- 44:53Speaker 16: Let's go Hello therapy and speaking. How may I help you?
- 44:58Speaker 13: Yeah, I'm trying to come in and get some some
- 45:01Speaker 13: therapy done. I was in an accident at my job.
- 45:03Speaker 13: You know, I got injured like a week and a
- 45:05Speaker 13: half ago. I ain't been able to go back to
- 45:07Speaker 13: work for my back and my league they say, you know,
- 45:10Speaker 13: I haven't broke any bones or none, but it's you know,
- 45:12Speaker 13: it's real sol or real steal and hard to get
- 45:14Speaker 13: out of bed. So I wanted to see you know
- 45:17Speaker 13: what it takes to get a therapist and get start
- 45:20Speaker 13: getting some type of treatment.
- 45:21Speaker 16: Okay, well, sir, what we typically do is we ask
- 45:24Speaker 16: for our patients to come in, you know, check out
- 45:26Speaker 16: our facility and so we can also assess to you,
- 45:30Speaker 16: you know, see where the damage is the majority of it,
- 45:32Speaker 16: and you know, then get you to a therapist. So
- 45:35Speaker 16: if you would like to come in, we can definitely
- 45:37Speaker 16: do that for you.
- 45:37Speaker 13: Okay, do you know what the therapists actually do when
- 45:40Speaker 13: they're doing the treatment.
- 45:41Speaker 16: Well, if you come in, sir, we can definitely direct
- 45:44Speaker 16: you to any of our three therapists that.
- 45:46Speaker 3: We have on site right now.
- 45:49Speaker 13: Uh huh.
- 45:49Speaker 16: But each one specializes in a particular field. So it's
- 45:54Speaker 16: more beneficial for you if you come in and then
- 45:56Speaker 16: we can assess you and then direct you to that
- 45:58Speaker 16: particular therapist.
- 45:59Speaker 13: Okay, okay, So you say, how many of y'all do
- 46:02Speaker 13: y'all have?
- 46:03Speaker 16: We have three? There's Marty, Brenda and Cecilia here.
- 46:06Speaker 13: Okay. The person that referred me to y'all told me
- 46:10Speaker 13: that Cecilia was the one that had worked on Is
- 46:13Speaker 13: there a way I could talk to to Secilia?
- 46:15Speaker 16: Typically we lomally asked our patients to come in, but
- 46:18Speaker 16: let us see if she's available right now. I know
- 46:20Speaker 16: earlier she was was a patient, so let me just
- 46:23Speaker 16: check really quick. I mean, if she is available, then
- 46:25Speaker 16: I can I can transfer you.
- 46:27Speaker 13: Okay, okay, okay, I just hold.
- 46:29Speaker 16: On, okay, hold on.
- 46:33Speaker 14: Hi.
- 46:33Speaker 13: This is Cecilia. Yeah, Miss Cecilia, trying to come up
- 46:37Speaker 13: there and get some therapy done. I hurt my back
- 46:39Speaker 13: and my leg at work. I mean, they already told
- 46:41Speaker 13: me wasn't nothing broken, nothing, But I wanted to see
- 46:44Speaker 13: what exactly do y'all do as far as physical therapy?
- 46:47Speaker 13: You know, what exactly will I be doing?
- 46:49Speaker 11: Well?
- 46:49Speaker 17: When you come in, we'll do a consultation and you know,
- 46:54Speaker 17: we'll massage you and take X rays and put you
- 46:58Speaker 17: in the world pool to up and there's several different
- 47:01Speaker 17: things that.
- 47:01Speaker 3: We can do for you.
- 47:02Speaker 13: Okay, is there a certain timeline? I mean, like, how
- 47:05Speaker 13: long would it take before I can get back to work,
- 47:08Speaker 13: because you know, I've been off for about a week
- 47:10Speaker 13: nine I'm trying to get back within the next couple
- 47:12Speaker 13: of weeks. But it's taken me, like, you know, at
- 47:15Speaker 13: least thirty minutes to get out of bed because of
- 47:17Speaker 13: my back and my leg.
- 47:19Speaker 17: Oh wow, Well you need to come in as soon
- 47:21Speaker 17: as possible because that sounded like that's pretty bad.
- 47:24Speaker 13: Okay, Well let me ask you this. Hell, after people
- 47:26Speaker 13: get through doing the therapy, do y'all have happy endings?
- 47:31Speaker 17: Happy endings? What do you mean by happy endings?
- 47:34Speaker 13: Happy end is like, you know, when therapy is over with,
- 47:37Speaker 13: you know, do would you yourself? You know, would you
- 47:39Speaker 13: do happy endings at the end?
- 47:41Speaker 17: Okay, I'm still not understanding what do you mean by
- 47:44Speaker 17: happy endings? What are you talking about?
- 47:46Speaker 13: Okay, say, like if I come over there and go
- 47:48Speaker 13: through a session or whatever for about an hour, when
- 47:52Speaker 13: we get through, you know, will you kind of like
- 47:54Speaker 13: you know, close the door, and you know, you know,
- 47:57Speaker 13: do happy endings, you know, and make me feel good.
- 48:00Speaker 17: Okay, close the door. I'm still not quite understanding what
- 48:09Speaker 17: you mean by happy ending, sir.
- 48:11Speaker 13: Okay, what I'm trying to say is like, when we
- 48:13Speaker 13: get through with the procedure, uh, you know, make me
- 48:16Speaker 13: feel good in a in a nice uh you know,
- 48:19Speaker 13: happy endings.
- 48:21Speaker 17: When Judy sent you uh back to me. What are
- 48:25Speaker 17: we talking about with this happy ending thing?
- 48:26Speaker 13: Because I don't I didn't ask nothing about the happy
- 48:29Speaker 13: endess that right there is just is gonna be between
- 48:31Speaker 13: me and you.
- 48:32Speaker 17: Well, see, I don't I don't play that. I don't
- 48:34Speaker 17: get This is a place of business. We're professional here.
- 48:37Speaker 17: We do therapy for people who are seriously being hurt.
- 48:43Speaker 17: This is not the nearest ball we're talking about happy

- 53:52Speaker 2: you here. It is the Strawberry Let it.
- 53:56Speaker 11: Thank you not for your subject, she's getting more than
- 53:58Speaker 11: money from him. Stephen Shirley, I'm a fifty one year
- 54:02Speaker 11: old man, and I have a wife, but I haven't
- 54:04Speaker 11: lived with her in four years. It's a long story,
- 54:08Speaker 11: but I'll try to make a brief. Four years ago,
- 54:10Speaker 11: my cousin had a bad divorce and he needed somewhere
- 54:13Speaker 11: to stay, so my wife and I let him rent
- 54:15Speaker 11: one of our side of a duplex we own. I
- 54:19Speaker 11: made him promise to be respectful to my older tenant
- 54:22Speaker 11: that shared the duplex with him, because she's a Christian
- 54:25Speaker 11: woman that loves peace and quiet. He moved in, and
- 54:29Speaker 11: in less than two weeks, the old lady called me
- 54:31Speaker 11: to complain about sex noises coming from his side of
- 54:34Speaker 11: the duplex. I talked to my cousin and asked him
- 54:37Speaker 11: to knock it off. I work full time, so my
- 54:40Speaker 11: wife manages our three properties and collects the rent.
- 54:44Speaker 1: But I'm the only one the old lady will talk to.
- 54:47Speaker 11: She's never liked my wife, and one evening, i'd stopped
- 54:50Speaker 11: by the duplex to put some reflective numbers on the
- 54:53Speaker 11: old lady's side of the duplex because she said her
- 54:56Speaker 11: girlfriends couldn't find her house at night. I pulled up
- 55:01Speaker 11: and my wife's car was parked in the sideyard out
- 55:04Speaker 11: of plane view. I knocked on my cousin's door several times,
- 55:08Speaker 11: and there was no answer. The old lady came out
- 55:10Speaker 11: of her door and she told me that they can't
- 55:12Speaker 11: hear me knocking because they're in there having sex and
- 55:16Speaker 11: making a bunch of noise. I told her that I
- 55:20Speaker 11: think it's my wife in there, and she reminded me
- 55:22Speaker 11: that she has never liked my wife, and then said
- 55:25Speaker 11: this must be why. She told me that the car
- 55:28Speaker 11: is always over there, so my wife is coming by
- 55:31Speaker 11: for more than the rent money. I broke the window
- 55:35Speaker 11: and I got in there and tried to body slam
- 55:38Speaker 11: my cousin. My wife moved out of our house and
- 55:42Speaker 11: into the raggedy duplex with my cousin. It's been four
- 55:45Speaker 11: years and they're still together. I still can't get over it.
- 55:50Speaker 11: How could they do this to me? Well, because some
- 55:56Speaker 11: people who are just low down and evil. You know,
- 55:59Speaker 11: you may still be married on paper, but you don't
- 56:02Speaker 11: have a wife. You may as well let that go
- 56:04Speaker 11: because she let it go a long time ago. She
- 56:07Speaker 11: left you then way back, and we can't pick our relatives,
- 56:11Speaker 11: so he's gonna be your trifling cousin forever. My advice
- 56:16Speaker 11: to you is to first get a divorce, because clearly this.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Marriage is over. It's been four years. The next thing
- 56:23Speaker 1: I would do is put them out of the duplex.
- 56:25Speaker 1: Put them out. It's been four years.
- 56:27Speaker 11: Your cousin should be able to get his own place
- 56:30Speaker 11: by now. He shouldn't be living off you anyway. I mean,
- 56:33Speaker 11: you said you can't get over it, but you're gonna
- 56:35Speaker 11: have to. You're gonna have to move on with your life.
- 56:39Speaker 11: I mean, life does go on. Try to get back
- 56:42Speaker 11: out there. You know, if you have friends, you can
- 56:44Speaker 11: hang out with them to ease back into the dating scene.
- 56:47Speaker 11: I know you're fifty one, I know that, but but
- 56:51Speaker 11: that's okay. You can ask a friend out for lunch,
- 56:54Speaker 11: you know, or for drinks. You gotta start going to
- 56:57Speaker 11: like get togethers and stuff like that, barbecues, church events,
- 57:00Speaker 11: comedy shows.
- 57:01Speaker 1: Tommy aren't you? Aren't you touring now?
- 57:03Speaker 3: Right?
- 57:03Speaker 1: You can go see Tommy. Uh he's touring again.
- 57:06Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:07Speaker 11: You know, you gotta do things to get yourself out there.
- 57:10Speaker 11: And the more you get out there, the easier it's
- 57:12Speaker 11: going to be to get over your.
- 57:14Speaker 1: Faithful, tricky, tricky, tricky wife.
- 57:17Speaker 10: Steve hall Boy, this letter right here is major league
- 57:28Speaker 10: disappointing to me.
- 57:29Speaker 2: She's getting more than money from him.
- 57:34Speaker 10: Now here's a fifty year old guy, he says, and
- 57:38Speaker 10: I have a wife, but I ain't live with her
- 57:40Speaker 10: in four years.
- 57:42Speaker 2: Well you can quit calling her your wife.
- 57:47Speaker 10: Four years pretty pretty we we we passed the point
- 57:54Speaker 10: to fix it.
- 57:57Speaker 2: Four years this over.
- 58:02Speaker 10: Your cousin had a bad divorce and he needed somewhere
- 58:05Speaker 10: to stay, which means she took him to the cleaners.
- 58:11Speaker 10: So he ain't got nothing. So your wife let him
- 58:15Speaker 10: rent a duplex in it. You promised to be respectful
- 58:18Speaker 10: of the older tenant, that you share a deep duplex
- 58:20Speaker 10: with Christian woman.
- 58:22Speaker 2: She like peace and quiet.
- 58:24Speaker 10: After two weeks, the lady called to complain about sex
- 58:26Speaker 10: noises coming from his side of the deep duplex. So
- 58:30Speaker 10: you went in there and you talk to the dude,
- 58:32Speaker 10: told him to cut it out. You work full time,
- 58:34Speaker 10: so your wife manages the three properties and collects the rent.
- 58:38Speaker 10: But I'm the only person that the old lady would
- 58:41Speaker 10: talk to. She's never liked my wife. This is very
- 58:45Speaker 10: important information as we go forward in this letter. The
- 58:48Speaker 10: old lady knew something soon as she met her. All
- 58:54Speaker 10: women can pick up on triflingess in a young woman.
- 59:01Speaker 10: See one thing about women, y'all. Women know each other.
- 59:06Speaker 10: Women can fool us men, but they can't fool each other. Girl, girl, girl,
- 59:13Speaker 10: I know that I've seen this movie before. I know
- 59:15Speaker 10: this whole scene.
- 59:16Speaker 2: What you're doing. Women know.
- 59:18Speaker 10: Marjorie will spot some stuff that I would never even
- 59:21Speaker 10: dream of looking at it.
- 59:23Speaker 2: She tripping. So the old lady knew something.
- 59:26Speaker 10: One evening, stopped by the deeplex put some reflective numbers
- 59:30Speaker 10: on the old lady's house coach.
- 59:32Speaker 2: They can't find her house at night because they.
- 59:34Speaker 10: Old you pull up in the wife's car parked on
- 59:38Speaker 10: the other side of out of plane, youth, So you
- 59:40Speaker 10: knocked on your cousin, do and what?
- 59:42Speaker 2: No answer?
- 59:43Speaker 10: The old lady came out her doing, told me they
- 59:45Speaker 10: can't hear you knocking cause they ain't not having sex
- 59:48Speaker 10: and making a bunch of noise.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Well, I told her, I think that's my wife in there.
- 59:54Speaker 10: She reminded me, I have never liked her. Now she
- 1:00:01Speaker 10: and not bringing your cousin. True, you need to get
- 1:00:05Speaker 10: the bust and windows or something.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: All right, Steve, hold on hold that thought.
- 1:00:10Speaker 11: Okay, we'll have part two of your response at twenty
- 1:00:14Speaker 11: three minutes after the hour Strawberry letter for today, she's
- 1:00:17Speaker 11: getting more than money from him.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:21Speaker 11: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: All right, come on, Steve, let's.
- 1:00:26Speaker 11: Recap today's strawberry letter. The subject she's getting more than
- 1:00:30Speaker 11: money from him.
- 1:00:32Speaker 10: Well, I'm gonna recap this letter and then we're gonna
- 1:00:35Speaker 10: do a live re enactment. Okay, Shirley is gonna be
- 1:00:40Speaker 10: the woman. Oh, Tommy gonna be the guy. What Tommy,
- 1:00:47Speaker 10: the cook, Tommy, you know the trifling you got that.
- 1:00:51Speaker 10: Tommy's gonna be the trifling, cold woman. Shirley, You're gonna
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: be the woman that's in the house that's been collecting
- 1:00:59Speaker 10: the rent I'm gonna be the old lady next door
- 1:01:02Speaker 10: since the old day'll stay next door.
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: So here we go.
- 1:01:07Speaker 10: A fifty one year old man then rented out his
- 1:01:12Speaker 10: place to his cousin. Told him be respectful as an
- 1:01:14Speaker 10: old lady lived next door. But the old lady only
- 1:01:18Speaker 10: talks to him because the old lady don't like his wife,
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: who controls the three properties and collects all the rents. Well,
- 1:01:24Speaker 10: two weeks into the cousin moving in there, the lady
- 1:01:27Speaker 10: calling complaining about loud sex noises coming by. The guy
- 1:01:31Speaker 10: goes over there one night to change the reflective lightness
- 1:01:34Speaker 10: on her address so her people can see her address
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: at night. He get over there and the lady come
- 1:01:40Speaker 10: out complaining again, talking about some people in here having
- 1:01:43Speaker 10: loud sex noises. Well, he noticed his wife's cars in
- 1:01:46Speaker 10: the driveway out of plain view, so he said, wait
- 1:01:49Speaker 10: a minute, that I think that's my wife in there.
- 1:01:52Speaker 10: The lady said, I told you that I did not
- 1:01:55Speaker 10: like her. Now she and her banging your cousin and
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: you standing out here.
- 1:02:02Speaker 6: So now.
- 1:02:05Speaker 10: She told me that the car was always over there.
- 1:02:09Speaker 10: So now my wife coming over from mooting rent money.
- 1:02:14Speaker 10: So I broke the window and got in there and
- 1:02:17Speaker 10: tried to body slam my cousin.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: So I don't understand this part of the left right.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: I mean, see, if you broke the.
- 1:02:24Speaker 10: Window and you tried to body slam your cousin. See,
- 1:02:29Speaker 10: once I break the window, it's unfinished business. That's just
- 1:02:33Speaker 10: the beginning. Breaking the wonder is a prelude me breaking
- 1:02:39Speaker 10: your ass.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: See we have got this behind. Yeah, we ain't got
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: to that yet.
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: But if I broke this window, stepped in here and
- 1:02:45Speaker 10: cut my back of my thigh on this glass because
- 1:02:48Speaker 10: you got.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: To climb through that window. You're gonna cut your leg. Yeah,
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: and he how old fifty?
- 1:02:53Speaker 13: What?
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: Yeah? He fifty one? He can't get to no wind. Yeah.
- 1:02:58Speaker 10: So my wife moved out of our house, and then
- 1:03:00Speaker 10: too the raggedy duplexture, my cousin.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: It's been four years and they still together. I still
- 1:03:06Speaker 2: can't go over it. And how I still can't get
- 1:03:08Speaker 2: over how they do this to me?
- 1:03:10Speaker 10: How they did it, how they did it easy? They
- 1:03:13Speaker 10: both trice, especially your wife. But while you hanging around,
- 1:03:18Speaker 10: she don't want you and she don't deserve you. Now
- 1:03:22Speaker 10: I'm understanding, what is it?
- 1:03:23Speaker 2: You can't get over?
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: It's over.
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: Everything's over except you though.
- 1:03:33Speaker 10: It's four years. So now here we go. Here's the
- 1:03:35Speaker 10: re enactment. Shirley, you in the house with the man.
- 1:03:41Speaker 10: I'm the old lady, sister, old Delle. That's stay next door. Tommy.
- 1:03:46Speaker 10: You the dude that's looking for your wife. And when
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: they got cheated on. Okay, that's what the one that
- 1:03:52Speaker 10: got cheated on?
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: So is you over here? Hello?
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: Hello? Oh hey, hey, how.
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: You tell hold on? Shirl?
- 1:04:01Speaker 10: I'm talking Tommy. Then came over to the house, so
- 1:04:04Speaker 10: let me talk to comedy. We ain't brought you in here.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: You in the house. You ain't got nothing to say
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: right now? You busy, you're not making noises. Hey, mispraise
- 1:04:12Speaker 2: what you want to put these reflectors there so I
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: can put him on his faith.
- 1:04:15Speaker 10: I want you to put it in there. Cracking this
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: door to stop some of this racket in here. It's
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: some people in there having sakes. Who and who is
- 1:04:26Speaker 10: that howling in there with him?
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: With him? I don't know who car to drive away?
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: That's my wife.
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: That's my wife car right there, that's Joe.
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: That's Joe Anne car right there, Joe Anne, that's my
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: wife car. Well, well, well I told you I never
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: liked the little Hussey. Help it.
- 1:04:47Speaker 10: Why that's Joe that damn Now, I don't you tell
- 1:04:51Speaker 10: me whose voice it is? You signed it all hunt
- 1:04:55Speaker 10: and bother.
- 1:04:56Speaker 2: I've been here in five hours. Oh look good, Joanne?
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: What is you asking Joe Ann? Because you know it's hers?
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: Joe?
