- 0:00Speaker 1: It is part three of our Year in review as
- 0:03Speaker 1: we take a look back at the biggest stories that
- 0:05Speaker 1: happened this year. And if you miss part one or
- 0:08Speaker 1: part two of our Year in review, you can go
- 0:11Speaker 1: backwards in our podcasts and you can listen to those.
- 0:15Speaker 1: It's very easy makes you subscribe to our podcast. But
- 0:17Speaker 1: this is part three, so if you miss part one
- 0:19Speaker 1: or part two, make sure you go backwards. All right,
- 0:22Speaker 1: With that being said, it's time to get started and
- 0:24Speaker 1: take another look at what a crazy year this actually was.
- 0:27Speaker 1: We look at what we should have realized was coming,
- 0:31Speaker 1: what we miss tactics from the left, what we got
- 0:34Speaker 1: to make sure can never happen again, what we can
- 0:37Speaker 1: learn from and actually from the positives of the year,
- 0:39Speaker 1: and we break it down. One of the biggest things
- 0:42Speaker 1: I think of this past year is we learned that
- 0:45Speaker 1: the Democratic Party does not like progress. What does Democratic
- 0:49Speaker 1: Party believe in? They believe in modern day slavery where
- 0:53Speaker 1: you are desperate for their little checks to you to
- 0:57Speaker 1: keep you afloat, to keep you alive. They do not
- 1:01Speaker 1: need people to be successful. If they do, they lose
- 1:03Speaker 1: their power. They need people to be weak. There's a
- 1:06Speaker 1: reason why Jesse Jackson said an African American church that
- 1:10Speaker 1: it's an honor to be a food stamp president. He
- 1:12Speaker 1: was referring at the time to Barack Obama, when more
- 1:15Speaker 1: Americans were on foodstamps than at any other time in history,
- 1:19Speaker 1: and he said it was an honor to be a
- 1:21Speaker 1: food stamp president. What Donald Trump was able to pull
- 1:26Speaker 1: off was something that was truly incredible. During his presidency
- 1:30Speaker 1: and before COVID hit. You look at the numbers. We
- 1:33Speaker 1: have the lowest unemployment rate ever in history for African
- 1:37Speaker 1: Americans and Hispanics, the lowest unemployment rate for women, minority women,
- 1:44Speaker 1: and for young minorities in this country. It was truly incredible.
- 1:49Speaker 1: And the reason why it was so incredible is because
- 1:53Speaker 1: he did it not through a government program. He did
- 1:56Speaker 1: it by getting the government out of the way of
- 2:01Speaker 1: people to succeed. He did it by fighting for small
- 2:04Speaker 1: businesses to have the right, for small businesses to have
- 2:08Speaker 1: the ability to be able to protect themselves and to grow.
- 2:15Speaker 1: What you saw with this president was he said, I
- 2:19Speaker 1: understand that government is in fact the problem. I understand
- 2:24Speaker 1: the government is the problem. I understand that government is
- 2:28Speaker 1: our biggest enemy. I understand that the government needs to
- 2:31Speaker 1: get the hell out of our way, and I understand
- 2:34Speaker 1: that regulations are sucking the life out of this country.
- 2:38Speaker 1: So what I'm going to do is get out of
- 2:39Speaker 1: your way, and I'm going to let you go back
- 2:41Speaker 1: to work. I'm going to fight to bring businesses back
- 2:45Speaker 1: to life in America. These are the things that I
- 2:49Speaker 1: am going to do. And Democrats were terrified that this
- 2:54Speaker 1: was going to get Donald Trump reelected, which is exactly
- 2:57Speaker 1: why they had to start dividing this nation and scream
- 3:00Speaker 1: racism and why Black Lives Matter and Antifa became such
- 3:04Speaker 1: a big thing pre COVID. That was their original way
- 3:07Speaker 1: they thought they were going to win. Joining me with
- 3:10Speaker 1: my Year in Review as Kyle Olson as a report
- 3:12Speaker 1: of bright Bar News. Kyle, you know before cod this
- 3:15Speaker 1: was their strategy, was to use Black Lives Matter divide
- 3:19Speaker 1: on racial lines. But the real story is, and Republicans
- 3:24Speaker 1: need to understand this because Donald Trump did it that
- 3:28Speaker 1: if you do the policies that you promise you're going
- 3:30Speaker 1: to do, and you empower all Americans, it will help
- 3:34Speaker 1: minorities more than any special project towards minorities. This was
- 3:39Speaker 1: something that helped every American that may be the part
- 3:43Speaker 1: that shocks so many people is it wasn't like he
- 3:46Speaker 1: had special rules for minority groups. He said, no, I'm
- 3:49Speaker 1: going to work hard for every American, for all Americans.
- 3:52Speaker 1: I'm going to make sure that all Americans have the
- 3:55Speaker 1: ability to succeed. And that's exactly what he did. And
- 3:59Speaker 1: what did it do. Every ship rose because of this
- 4:03Speaker 1: policy of putting Americans and America first, right, I mean
- 4:10Speaker 1: that's ultimately ultimately, at the end of the day, Americans
- 4:13Speaker 1: want to work. They don't want to ask the government
- 4:16Speaker 1: for handouts. They don't want to rely on the government.
- 4:19Speaker 1: People want to work, they want to provide for their families,
- 4:22Speaker 1: they want to accomplish something, etc. And you talked about
- 4:26Speaker 1: Black Lives Matter. I talked to Robert Kahailey from the
- 4:29Speaker 1: Trafalgar Group during the campaign and he told me that
- 4:32Speaker 1: basically what was happening was President Trump was doing very
- 4:36Speaker 1: well prior to the pandemic in terms of polling because
- 4:40Speaker 1: the economy was on the right track, the policies were
- 4:45Speaker 1: on the right track, and all of that. And then
- 4:48Speaker 1: the coronavirus hit and the media was just obsessed with
- 4:53Speaker 1: the coronavirus, and then these protests started happening. George Floyd
- 4:58Speaker 1: was killed, the protests started happening. The media then shifted
- 5:03Speaker 1: to that and they were focusing on that. But then
- 5:07Speaker 1: that was when the riots started happening, and that's when
- 5:10Speaker 1: places like Kenosha, Wisconsin were burned out, and suddenly it
- 5:15Speaker 1: became violent and people got concerned that, wait a minute,
- 5:18Speaker 1: this is not just about quote unquote police brutality anymore,
- 5:22Speaker 1: but this is about destroying people's businesses, destroying people's livelihoods
- 5:26Speaker 1: who had nothing to do with anything that happened. And
- 5:30Speaker 1: he said, then what happened was that was when President
- 5:33Speaker 1: Trump's polling started going up because he was talking about
- 5:36Speaker 1: protecting the suburbs and protecting people from you know, violence
- 5:43Speaker 1: and you know this sort of behavior. So then he said,
- 5:47Speaker 1: Robert Tayley said, then the media shifted back to coronavirus
- 5:52Speaker 1: because that was what they could use as a weapon
- 5:54Speaker 1: against President Trump and that and they just you know,
- 5:58Speaker 1: of course, they had Anthony Faucion virtually every channel. I
- 6:02Speaker 1: don't know how the guy did got any work done
- 6:04Speaker 1: because he was on TV all the time. And but
- 6:08Speaker 1: that was what the media did. They constantly were on
- 6:12Speaker 1: the offensive against President Trump. It was so difficult for
- 6:15Speaker 1: him to have any sort of positive message out there
- 6:19Speaker 1: because CNN and MSNBC and even Fox News, they just
- 6:24Speaker 1: attacked him all the time. You know, one of the
- 6:27Speaker 1: things that we saw as the President trying to fight
- 6:32Speaker 1: hard to get more money to the American people. We
- 6:35Speaker 1: had now been told that Donald Trump has signed the
- 6:37Speaker 1: coronavirus Relief bill. After days of tension. Again, the President
- 6:41Speaker 1: resigned the massive coronavirus relief and government spending bill late
- 6:45Speaker 1: on Sunday and nearly a week of suspense that flustered
- 6:50Speaker 1: governors and lawmakers of both parties. Mister Trump, They say
- 6:53Speaker 1: the President Trump had penned a paper after a Christmas
- 6:56Speaker 1: period marked by anger and confusion over his demands for
- 6:59Speaker 1: bid your payments, and that's what he wanted. Yet it
- 7:03Speaker 1: looks like now multiple outlets now are saying that the
- 7:06Speaker 1: President said, all right, fine, this is what you guys
- 7:09Speaker 1: want to do. I tried and demanded two thousand dollars
- 7:12Speaker 1: checks for the American people instead of them measly six
- 7:15Speaker 1: hundred dollars in the bill. But you guys won't move,
- 7:18Speaker 1: So I'm going to at least get the six hundred
- 7:19Speaker 1: dollars to the American people. Is this a failure or
- 7:23Speaker 1: is this a we should remember at least Trump tried
- 7:27Speaker 1: and the Democrats and Congress and the Republicans failed because
- 7:31Speaker 1: the President called him out. He called him out for
- 7:33Speaker 1: their hypocrisy, He called him out for not caring about
- 7:36Speaker 1: the American people. Yet he's forced to sign this thing. Yeah, well,
- 7:40Speaker 1: it is a frustration, I think because, as we said earlier,
- 7:45Speaker 1: he wanted that six hundred increase to two thousand, but
- 7:49Speaker 1: that was in exchange for getting rid of the pork
- 7:52Speaker 1: and the foreign aid. That people would the average person
- 7:56Speaker 1: would say, why are we giving ten million dollars to
- 7:59Speaker 1: Pakistan for gender programs? Why are we doing that? Why
- 8:02Speaker 1: aren't we supporting Americans instead? So that was that was
- 8:07Speaker 1: supposedly going to be his exchange. But apparently what we'll
- 8:11Speaker 1: have to wait and see if that actually happens. My
- 8:14Speaker 1: fear is that what's going to happen. And Bernie Sanders
- 8:17Speaker 1: spoke to this earlier, as he was saying, signed the
- 8:19Speaker 1: bill and then we'll pass another bill to make up
- 8:24Speaker 1: the you know, to increase at fourteen hundred dollars to
- 8:26Speaker 1: get to the two thousand. So it seems to me
- 8:30Speaker 1: the Democrats are getting everything that they want. They're getting
- 8:33Speaker 1: the foreign aid, they're getting, you know, Americans to support
- 8:36Speaker 1: all of these countries for no real good reason, no
- 8:39Speaker 1: strategic national interest or national security reason. And now these
- 8:46Speaker 1: the checks are going out, and you know, I mean,
- 8:48Speaker 1: one of the other concerns that I've had with the
- 8:52Speaker 1: Republican Party is at what point are they going to
- 8:55Speaker 1: get concerned about spending? That is the issue. You know,
- 8:59Speaker 1: last year, I was sitting here with our year in review,
- 9:01Speaker 1: and it's something that I brought up a year ago.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I said, guys, if there's any story that is underreported
- 9:08Speaker 1: by conservatives and liberals, it is the fact that we
- 9:13Speaker 1: are so far in debt that no one has any
- 9:15Speaker 1: idea just how bad this is going to hurt the
- 9:19Speaker 1: American people that are kids and grandkids, many of your grandkids,
- 9:23Speaker 1: when they're gonna have to pay this debt off that
- 9:25Speaker 1: is totally out of control, and it can be used
- 9:28Speaker 1: to cripple this country. The amount of power that China
- 9:31Speaker 1: has over us right now because how much debt of
- 9:33Speaker 1: ours they have that the amount of debt that we
- 9:36Speaker 1: have in this country is six figures per tax payer,
- 9:42Speaker 1: and no one seems to give a crap in the
- 9:44Speaker 1: Republican party about this anymore. No, And I read it's
- 9:48Speaker 1: maybe a year ago. I can't remember. It was an
- 9:51Speaker 1: interesting story sort of I guess rationalizing maybe I don't
- 9:57Speaker 1: know if that's the right word, but maybe theorizing why
- 10:00Speaker 1: President Trump doesn't care about deficit spending and his background
- 10:06Speaker 1: of courses in construction, and in construction you have to
- 10:10Speaker 1: take out massive loans and you're leveraged big time in
- 10:13Speaker 1: order to build you know, the types of buildings that
- 10:16Speaker 1: he would build, and so he's used to that sort
- 10:19Speaker 1: of spending. But of course the problem is you also
- 10:22Speaker 1: have people like the anti Pelosi and Chuck Schumer and
- 10:25Speaker 1: all of the progressives in Washington and Republicans doom that
- 10:30Speaker 1: they don't have a problem with that sort of spending.
- 10:33Speaker 1: And so at what point are the Republicans going to
- 10:36Speaker 1: get serious about spending? And I certainly see the argument
- 10:42Speaker 1: that people are hurting and they need they need money
- 10:45Speaker 1: because you know, businesses are struggling and people are out
- 10:50Speaker 1: of jobs and all of that. I understand that, But
- 10:52Speaker 1: maybe we should look at tax cuts. Maybe we should
- 10:55Speaker 1: look at places like Michigan and opening up so people
- 10:59Speaker 1: can go back to work, because if people are in work,
- 11:02Speaker 1: if people are working, then they don't need six hundred
- 11:05Speaker 1: dollars or two thousand dollars. That is what they should
- 11:09Speaker 1: be demanding is open dates up. Don't just continue racking
- 11:14Speaker 1: up the credit card to China and expecting our kids
- 11:18Speaker 1: to pay for it. You know that, I know what
- 11:21Speaker 1: the Democrats are about. But one of the things that
- 11:23Speaker 1: we have to take a look at is what are
- 11:25Speaker 1: the Republicans about. I think we can already see Republicans
- 11:31Speaker 1: jockeying to go back to the Mitt Romney George Bush
- 11:35Speaker 1: type of days. Right now said we are already seeing
- 11:39Speaker 1: Republican congressmen that are attacking Donald Trump on the way
- 11:44Speaker 1: out the door and trying to say, oh, I was
- 11:47Speaker 1: never part of that Magot crowd. I will remind you
- 11:52Speaker 1: seventy four million Americans supported Donald Trump. But first, if
- 11:58Speaker 1: you want to help the people in george with what's
- 12:00Speaker 1: going on there with a Senate election, then you need
- 12:03Speaker 1: to join AMAC, the number one conservative organization the country.
- 12:07Speaker 1: For free. Right now, I'm going to give you a
- 12:09Speaker 1: free membership because it's important that we now stand with
- 12:12Speaker 1: the people of Georgia and that we fight to make
- 12:15Speaker 1: sure that they have a free and fair election. Whatever
- 12:18Speaker 1: happens in Georgia's what's going to be. What's going to
- 12:21Speaker 1: happen with the country. What's going to happen in Georgia
- 12:26Speaker 1: is going to decide the fate of an unbelievable amount
- 12:30Speaker 1: of legislation. If they're able to win in Georgia, it
- 12:33Speaker 1: is over. The Democrats control the House, the Senate, and
- 12:38Speaker 1: the White House. So if you are ready to get
- 12:42Speaker 1: in on all this action and to fight back and
- 12:45Speaker 1: to stand with other conservatives to protect the Senate, join
- 12:49Speaker 1: the number one conservative organization in the country right now.
- 12:53Speaker 1: It is called AMAC for free. That's right, for free.
- 12:57Speaker 1: Call them, use my name Ben when you call them.
- 13:03Speaker 1: Or you can go online to ben free online dot com.
- 13:06Speaker 1: That's been free online dot com www dot ben free
- 13:12Speaker 1: online dot com. You can get your free membership to
- 13:16Speaker 1: the number one conservative organization in the country, Ben Free
- 13:21Speaker 1: online dot com that's been free online dot com. And
- 13:26Speaker 1: join the number one conservative organization in the country. All right. Now,
- 13:31Speaker 1: we got to talk for a moment about um Donald
- 13:33Speaker 1: Trump actually signing this massive, massive stimulus bill. It is
- 13:39Speaker 1: a bill that don't be mad at Donald Trump for
- 13:41Speaker 1: signing it. Be mad at the Republicans in Congress for
- 13:43Speaker 1: screwing him, and Republicans had no problem going taking your
- 13:48Speaker 1: money and giving it to port Merell spending instead of
- 13:53Speaker 1: to you, the American people who need it. This is
- 13:56Speaker 1: what they offered you. Six hundred dollars. That's it, six
- 14:01Speaker 1: hundred dollars. It's shocking that Mitch McConnell would run so
- 14:10Speaker 1: fast back to the old ways of doing business, that
- 14:13Speaker 1: the Republicans would do this. It's like, all right, well
- 14:16Speaker 1: now Trump's gone. It's almost like they're they're relieved that
- 14:20Speaker 1: he's gone because they can go back to business as
- 14:22Speaker 1: usual where they put their special interests ahead of the
- 14:25Speaker 1: American people. Talking about all this with our Year and
- 14:29Speaker 1: Review is Kyle Olsen, a report with bright Bartnews. Kyle, this,
- 14:34Speaker 1: you know, is amazing to me how fast so many
- 14:37Speaker 1: of these Republicans have run away from the President and
- 14:42Speaker 1: have started to kind of even diss him a little bit,
- 14:45Speaker 1: and they go back to this port rail spinning. The
- 14:48Speaker 1: President did call them out on it, which was good
- 14:52Speaker 1: for them doing this, but I'm not sure it's going
- 14:54Speaker 1: to make an impact. Your reaction, Yeah, I don't know
- 15:00Speaker 1: make an impact. But when I was in I would
- 15:04Speaker 1: travel in the Midwest. I live in Michigan. I'd travel
- 15:06Speaker 1: in the Midwest to these various battleground states, and I'd
- 15:09Speaker 1: ask people, why do you like President Trump? Because the
- 15:13Speaker 1: very first Trump rally I went to was in December
- 15:16Speaker 1: twenty fifteen. It was a Merry Christmas rally. It was
- 15:19Speaker 1: unlike any Republican Party rally, any Republican candidate rally I'd
- 15:24Speaker 1: ever been to. It was a very blue collar kind
- 15:28Speaker 1: of thing. It was not at Robney or a George W.
- 15:31Speaker 1: Bush or a John McCain rally. He was a very
- 15:33Speaker 1: different kind of feeling. And I'd ask people, you know,
- 15:36Speaker 1: what do you see in Donald Trump? How can you
- 15:39Speaker 1: relate to this guy who remember when he went to
- 15:43Speaker 1: the Iowa State Fair, he flew his helicopter there, not
- 15:47Speaker 1: exactly like, you know, something that a working person does.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But he was a fighter. He is a fighter. That's
- 15:55Speaker 1: what people see in him. And it's not just fighting
- 15:57Speaker 1: for their jobs, fighting for American interests with America first,
- 16:02Speaker 1: but it was fighting against the media and fighting against
- 16:06Speaker 1: the Democrats, defending America, defending classic American values. That's what
- 16:12Speaker 1: people see in Donald Trump. I don't think they see
- 16:16Speaker 1: that in a Mitch McConnell. I don't think that they
- 16:18Speaker 1: see that in a Chris Christie or all of these
- 16:22Speaker 1: other potential well I shouldn't say all of them, but
- 16:27Speaker 1: in many of those potential twenty twenty four candidates, they
- 16:32Speaker 1: don't see a fighter like that. And so I think
- 16:35Speaker 1: Trump was such a transformational candidate for the Republican Party.
- 16:40Speaker 1: And we were talking earlier about Paris Denard and Donald
- 16:44Speaker 1: Trump changed the Republican Party. He grew the Hispanic support
- 16:50Speaker 1: for Republicans, he grew the Black support for Republicans, the
- 16:55Speaker 1: Union support in places like Michigan and Ohio and Pennsylvania
- 17:00Speaker 1: and Wisconsin, in other states across the country. He changed
- 17:05Speaker 1: the Republican Party, I think for the better. And if
- 17:08Speaker 1: people think that the smart thing to do is to
- 17:11Speaker 1: run away from Donald Trump and what he did for
- 17:14Speaker 1: the party, I think that that's a big mistake. There
- 17:18Speaker 1: are a lot of people that are looking like that's
- 17:20Speaker 1: exactly what they're going to do, and I'm talking about
- 17:22Speaker 1: elected officials, and that may be their downfall. I also
- 17:27Speaker 1: think that there is and I've been trying to explain
- 17:30Speaker 1: to people, there are certain Republicans, the Mitt Romneys, of
- 17:33Speaker 1: the world that lost power because of a Donald Trump
- 17:36Speaker 1: getting into office. They're more than happy to sacrifice leadership
- 17:42Speaker 1: and being in charge of the government if it means
- 17:44Speaker 1: they get their microphone back and they get to make
- 17:47Speaker 1: decisions again. And that's basically what we're seeing right now
- 17:50Speaker 1: is a lot of these guys that didn't have the
- 17:55Speaker 1: podium are willing to have it in the minority then
- 18:00Speaker 1: to actually deal with Donald Trump still being the president,
- 18:05Speaker 1: which is the reason why I think they're genuinely happy
- 18:07Speaker 1: about this. Yeah, and I think that there's a lot
- 18:11Speaker 1: of Republicans who would prefer to be the minority in
- 18:14Speaker 1: the minority because that's that's easy, because all you've got
- 18:17Speaker 1: to do is just lob bombs. You don't have to
- 18:20Speaker 1: take tough votes, you don't have to take the slings
- 18:23Speaker 1: and arrows like President Trump did. It's easy to be
- 18:26Speaker 1: in the minority. And I think that that's where people
- 18:29Speaker 1: that that's where people like Mitt Romney and others, they
- 18:33Speaker 1: would prefer to do that because that's the easy thing
- 18:35Speaker 1: to do. But to see what President Trump did over
- 18:38Speaker 1: the last four years with the tax cut, with the economy,
- 18:42Speaker 1: cutting regulation, all of that, that's hard work and I
- 18:46Speaker 1: think that he will be He'll be rewarded for that.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Cal I really appreciate you coming on and help us
- 18:53Speaker 1: with this year interview. And this is obviously part three
- 18:56Speaker 1: of that year interview. So a quick reminder, if you
- 18:59Speaker 1: miss part one or part two in our podcast, make
- 19:02Speaker 1: sure you go backwards and you can listen to part
- 19:05Speaker 1: one and part two of the biggest stories of the
- 19:07Speaker 1: year and this year in review. You guys are amazing.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I hope that you have a great, great new year.
- 19:13Speaker 1: I hope that you've enjoyed what we've done at the
- 19:16Speaker 1: end of this year with this podcast. We've got a
- 19:17Speaker 1: lot more fighting moving forward that I can guarantee you.
- 19:21Speaker 1: So again, thank you for sharing this podcast or your
- 19:23Speaker 1: family and friends let them know about it post on
- 19:26Speaker 1: social media so others will find out about this podcast.
- 19:29Speaker 1: And again thanks to Icyle for coming on. And I'll
- 19:32Speaker 1: leave it at that for today. See you back here tomorrow.
