- 0:01Speaker 1: We have a shutdown, as you probably know, because the
- 0:04Speaker 1: Democrats have gone they're crazy, but they don't care if
- 0:07Speaker 1: they're hurt the country. But we've approved it fourteen times.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We've approved a opening up fourteen times, and they keep
- 0:14Speaker 1: rejecting it and they want to have a lot of
- 0:17Speaker 1: bad things happen, bad things for our country. We're not
- 0:20Speaker 1: going to give one point five trillion dollars to people
- 0:22Speaker 1: that came into a country illegally. We're not going to
- 0:24Speaker 1: do it to people came from prisons, they came from
- 0:27Speaker 1: mental institutions and drug dealers, and they want to give
- 0:31Speaker 1: them medical care.

- 1:04Speaker 3: so often, something happens that reminds us just how fragile
- 1:07Speaker 3: our freedoms are. We can't afford to take our rights
- 1:11Speaker 3: for granted. We must draw a line in the sand,
- 1:14Speaker 3: and our friends at Patriot Mobile have been doing just
- 1:17Speaker 3: that for more than twelve years. The truth is there
- 1:21Speaker 3: is only one provider that boldly stands in the gap
- 1:24Speaker 3: for Americans who believe freedom is worth fighting for, and
- 1:27Speaker 3: that company is Patriot Mobile. Not only are they leading
- 1:30Speaker 3: the red economy, they're also outpacing the competition and technology.

- 2:37Speaker 3: promo code BEN forty seven, you're gonna get a free
- 2:42Speaker 3: month of service. That's Patriot Mobile dot com slash ben
- 2:47Speaker 3: forty seven or nine seven to two Patriot and make
- 2:51Speaker 3: the switch today. It's a forty seven morning update and
- 2:55Speaker 3: it starts right now.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:58Speaker 3: If you're flying, Democrats are playing with your safety. They
- 3:02Speaker 3: know that they're playing with your safety, and they're wanting
- 3:05Speaker 3: it to hurt. They're wanting you to miss flights, they're
- 3:08Speaker 3: wanting you to stand in long lines, and they want
- 3:10Speaker 3: you to blame Donald Trump. But what they're not talking
- 3:13Speaker 3: about is how unsafe the skies have become because of
- 3:17Speaker 3: the pressure they've deliberately chosen to put on the system.
- 3:20Speaker 3: I also don't want to be clear about something. Republicans
- 3:24Speaker 3: had a clean bill to pay government essential workers, the
- 3:29Speaker 3: workers that are forced to come in even if they're
- 3:32Speaker 3: not getting a paycheck. That includes air traffic controllers and
- 3:36Speaker 3: what do the Democrats do? They said, no, that is
- 3:40Speaker 3: how you know that this is being done deliberately. I
- 3:43Speaker 3: want you to listen to more of what the Transportation
- 3:45Speaker 3: Secretary Sean Duffy had to say when he was sitting
- 3:48Speaker 3: down on Friday at a bright Bart conference. Take a listen.
- 3:52Speaker 4: There's more incursions on the ground. And then we've had
- 3:55Speaker 4: more complaints from pilots that have said, well, the controller
- 3:59Speaker 4: is less responsive to me, or controllers seem to be
- 4:03Speaker 4: more stressed. So we looked at that data and that
- 4:06Speaker 4: numbers are going in the wrong direction. This is a
- 4:07Speaker 4: really long answer, but I want to expect please do
- 4:10Speaker 4: the numbers are going in the wrong direction, and so
- 4:13Speaker 4: then what what is our response to that? And the
- 4:16Speaker 4: response is to take pressure out of the system and
- 4:20Speaker 4: through the safety team. We've talked about lowering the number
- 4:24Speaker 4: of flights and so we were going to do ten
- 4:27Speaker 4: percent right away. The safety team said that could be
- 4:29Speaker 4: even more disruptive. We should we should actually phase this
- 4:33Speaker 4: in to which we've done that. Today is the first
- 4:37Speaker 4: day four percent reduction, four days later another two percent,
- 4:41Speaker 4: two days after that two percent and then you know
- 4:44Speaker 4: two percent on and what I'm hoping to do is
- 4:48Speaker 4: again take the pressure and more risk out of the system.
- 4:51Speaker 4: We always try to manage the risk. Nothing is ever
- 4:53Speaker 4: fully safe. A car is not safe, walking down the
- 4:56Speaker 4: streets not full I mean, there's risk and everything we do.
- 4:58Speaker 4: I'm trying to minimize the risk through this government shutdown
- 5:03Speaker 4: and bring us to a matrix that matches what we
- 5:08Speaker 4: had before the shutdown. And I've had some complaints from Democrats.
- 5:11Speaker 4: They've said, well, we want to see the data, and
- 5:13Speaker 4: why are you looking at data? And this is political.
- 5:15Speaker 4: This has not been political. We have worked over time
- 5:17Speaker 4: to make sure that we minimize the impact on the
- 5:21Speaker 4: American people. We're trying to help the American people. And
- 5:24Speaker 4: when I start to get attacked by Democrats, that also
- 5:27Speaker 4: gets frustrating because there's a very easy solution to the
- 5:30Speaker 4: problem that they put directly on my lap, which is
- 5:33Speaker 4: open the day of government. Vote to open the government.
- 5:36Speaker 4: So those who snipe at me for having to take
- 5:40Speaker 4: really unique action, they put that on my on my plate,
- 5:43Speaker 4: so open it up. And by the way, I did
- 5:46Speaker 4: remember the last some of the last shutdowns I was.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I was part of those. We stayed here for a month.
- 5:51Speaker 4: I gained ten pounds, I think cause I ate pizza
- 5:54Speaker 4: and the junkiest food. But you sit here every weekend,
- 5:58Speaker 4: every day while the gun shut down and your family's upset,
- 6:02Speaker 4: your kids are annoyed. That people would go home doing
- 6:05Speaker 4: a shutdown when the American people are suffering is just
- 6:08Speaker 4: flat out wrong. Everyone should be here, everyone should be working.
- 6:12Speaker 4: No one should go home because, by the way I
- 6:14Speaker 4: saw today I was at DCA, I'm not I'm let
- 6:17Speaker 4: you ask me questions. Sure, yeah, there's people going to funerals.
- 6:21Speaker 4: There's people who are trying to get home. They can't
- 6:23Speaker 4: get home while Senator's going home. Keep them here, and
- 6:26Speaker 4: especially the senators who voted no to open the government up.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Maybe we could put the senators who keep voting to
- 6:30Speaker 1: shut the government down on the no fly list.
- 6:32Speaker 4: That would be a great well played.
- 6:35Speaker 3: You listen to the games they're being played, and he's
- 6:38Speaker 3: absolutely right. In a government shut down. When he was
- 6:41Speaker 3: in Washington, d C. Serving you stayed in town. The
- 6:45Speaker 3: families were frustrated because they weren't coming home. The constituents
- 6:49Speaker 3: weren't seeing their congressmen in their district or the senators
- 6:52Speaker 3: in their state. But what are we watching this time?
- 6:56Speaker 3: All of these people are going home. I would argue
- 6:59Speaker 3: that there's no way this go shutdown would be this
- 7:01Speaker 3: long if they forced the Congressmen and the Senators to
- 7:05Speaker 3: stay in town. So if this is what is happening
- 7:10Speaker 3: and what we're witnessing right now, it's probably gonna continue.
- 7:14Speaker 3: Democrats feel like they're holding America hostage, and they feel
- 7:18Speaker 3: like that is a good thing. They also believe that
- 7:23Speaker 3: this is actually working to their advantage, especially after the
- 7:27Speaker 3: big winds they said they got on Tuesday in hardcore
- 7:31Speaker 3: liberal states. So here we are and a full government shutdown,
- 7:35Speaker 3: the longest one in history. And what are Democrats saying?
- 7:39Speaker 3: They're just simply saying, We're going to keep doing it.
- 7:42Speaker 3: Why in essence, why not? We love that this is
- 7:47Speaker 3: happening right now. We love that this is where we are,
- 7:51Speaker 3: and we love that you are being held hostage now.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Tommy Tumerbilt Center from Alabama. He said this even about
- 8:00Speaker 3: the issue of the filibuster earlier on Fox.
- 8:04Speaker 5: Well, in the last week or so, Martha, the Democrats
- 8:07Speaker 5: have snuck around behind the scenes and worked with our
- 8:10Speaker 5: leadership team, knowing that they want to get out of
- 8:13Speaker 5: this themselves, not all of them, but a few of
- 8:15Speaker 5: them and hopefully it would be enough to open up.
- 8:18Speaker 5: But I think they really feel in Bolden that they
- 8:20Speaker 5: won a couple of blue state elections this past Tuesday,
- 8:24Speaker 5: and I don't know whether the deal is still on
- 8:26Speaker 5: the table. You know, it's about three appropriation bills that
- 8:29Speaker 5: we'd put in the CR, put a date in there,
- 8:31Speaker 5: get it done, voted in, and possibly kick the can
- 8:34Speaker 5: down the road to January. Here's a problem with Marsha.
- 8:37Speaker 5: These people feel empowered on the Democratic side. They can't
- 8:40Speaker 5: control President Trump, but they think they can control the
- 8:43Speaker 5: United States Senate. And that's the reason. As President Trump
- 8:46Speaker 5: had us in the White House there stay for breakfast,
- 8:48Speaker 5: he said, if you don't bust a filibuster, we won't
- 8:51Speaker 5: get anything else done. There's going to be more closures.
- 8:53Speaker 5: So we got to make a decision on our side.
- 8:55Speaker 5: I'm all for going to fifty one.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Now.
- 8:57Speaker 5: I was totally against it until I saw, really hoigh
- 9:00Speaker 5: this place works. And I've been up here five years
- 9:02Speaker 5: and there's not gonna be anything done if we don't
- 9:05Speaker 5: do something about this filibuster. Pass it up and let's
- 9:08Speaker 5: go and just kick the Democrats to the side and
- 9:10Speaker 5: get something done. For the American people they are suffering.
- 9:14Speaker 3: Now you hear that from Tommy Tubverville. There is always
- 9:17Speaker 3: a cause and effect when Democrats get back in control,
- 9:21Speaker 3: and they will at some point in my lifetime, maybe
- 9:24Speaker 3: multiple times in my lifetime, they will then kick the
- 9:27Speaker 3: Republicans the corner and go full blown communists, like we're
- 9:31Speaker 3: witnessing in New York City. Even Democrats are getting in
- 9:35Speaker 3: on this. John Fetterman speaking to reporters about the same issue,
- 9:39Speaker 3: and here's what he said.
- 9:40Speaker 2: Some of your Republican colleagues have proposed nuking the philibuster
- 9:43Speaker 2: to force the government to reopen.
- 9:45Speaker 6: What do you think, of course, of course, carve it
- 9:48Speaker 6: out for that. Absolutely, we ran on that. We ran
- 9:51Speaker 6: on killing the philibuster, and now we love it. You know,
- 9:54Speaker 6: it's like, carve it out so we can move on.
- 9:57Speaker 6: And I support it because it makes it's more difficult
- 10:01Speaker 6: to shut the government down in the future. And that's
- 10:03Speaker 6: where it's entirely appropriate. And I don't want to hear
- 10:06Speaker 6: any Democrats clutching their pearls about the filibuster. We all
- 10:10Speaker 6: ran on it. I ran on that in mind.
- 10:12Speaker 3: So there is again Fetterman, we ran on killing the
- 10:16Speaker 3: philibuster and now we love it, carve it out so
- 10:18Speaker 3: we can move on. I support it because it makes
- 10:20Speaker 3: it more difficult to shut the government down in the future,
- 10:23Speaker 3: and that's where it's entirely appropriate. I don't want to
- 10:26Speaker 3: hear any Democrats clutching their pearls about the filibuster. John
- 10:30Speaker 3: Fetterman also calling out his own party, saying, it's very
- 10:35Speaker 3: clear that the Democrats are holding the American people hostage.
- 10:39Speaker 6: It's like, that's why shutting the government is really what
- 10:43Speaker 6: the Democratic Party wants to do. And I follow country
- 10:47Speaker 6: than party, and it's the wrong thing for the country
- 10:50Speaker 6: in a period of chaos. I refuse to vote to
- 10:52Speaker 6: shut our government down. I absolutely would love to have
- 11:00Speaker 6: I I would love to have a conversation about extending
- 11:04Speaker 6: the tax credits for healthcare. Absolutely, but I would remind
- 11:08Speaker 6: everybody too, this was designed by the Democratic Party to
- 11:11Speaker 6: expire at the end of the year. This is not
- 11:14Speaker 6: something taken from by by the Republicans. That's they were
- 11:18Speaker 6: designed to expire. Now, let's have a conversation to extend
- 11:21Speaker 6: it and not shut our government down, and let's continue
- 11:24Speaker 6: to help has already agreed to that, well, I mean,
- 11:27Speaker 6: you know, that. Well, for me, I do believe, I
- 11:30Speaker 6: do believe Leader Thun is an honorable man, and I
- 11:34Speaker 6: do believe you. Well, you're not gonna lie. I mean,
- 11:36Speaker 6: you can't guarantee any outcome. But what I'm what I'm
- 11:39Speaker 6: saying it that's talking about what's wrong for the country.
- 11:44Speaker 6: I can't vote for a thing. I can't vote to
- 11:46Speaker 6: shutting our government down.
- 11:48Speaker 3: You wonder where the other statesmen are. John Feterin been
- 11:52Speaker 3: calling out his own party. Democrats choose party over country.
- 11:56Speaker 3: I follow country then party, and it's the wrong thing
- 11:59Speaker 3: for the country in a period of chaos, saying I
- 12:02Speaker 3: refuse to vote to shut our government down. You wonder
- 12:07Speaker 3: when this will actually stop the insanity. It's pretty clear
- 12:10Speaker 3: now Democrats believe they have enough leverage to keep moving
- 12:16Speaker 3: forward with a shutdown. They want it to hurt, and
- 12:20Speaker 3: they're holding the American people hostage and they're proud of it,
- 12:24Speaker 3: including putting your safety at risks in the skies.
