- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn out to turn the water the water.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your bad uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show man, o man o man. How many times
- 2:15Speaker 1: I got to say that before I get tired of it.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a minute, folks. I gotta
- 2:22Speaker 1: be real with you, because, boy, that Steve Harvey got
- 2:25Speaker 1: a radio show man, clear indication of how God can
- 2:31Speaker 1: do some unexpected, wonderful things for you, how he leads
- 2:36Speaker 1: your life in directions that you never ever saw coming.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You know, I was talking with somebody the other day
- 2:42Speaker 1: and they were talking about how man, they were young
- 2:44Speaker 1: and they were doing things, and they never knew that
- 2:47Speaker 1: the things that they were doing as a youngster would
- 2:51Speaker 1: come and helped form who they were today as an
- 2:56Speaker 1: adult this guy's fifty years old, and you know the
- 3:00Speaker 1: same thing for you, If you look back on your
- 3:02Speaker 1: life and all of the things that you've done, it
- 3:06Speaker 1: helps shape you into who you are now. This is
- 3:09Speaker 1: provided now that you take the positive approach. Now when
- 3:14Speaker 1: I say look back at your life and see what
- 3:16Speaker 1: you've done, that doesn't mean dwell on the misfortunate moments,
- 3:20Speaker 1: because the misfortunate moments were necessary. I know it. It's
- 3:24Speaker 1: hard to see that when it's happening to you, but
- 3:26Speaker 1: the unfortunate moments are necessary. You know, what really makes
- 3:31Speaker 1: you appreciate summer vacation is winter work. What really makes
- 3:37Speaker 1: you appreciate a walk on the beach, it's when it's cold,
- 3:40Speaker 1: it is raining outside. What really makes you appreciate when
- 3:45Speaker 1: you're up, it's because you've been down. See if you
- 3:49Speaker 1: are up all the time. Just the nature of us
- 3:52Speaker 1: as human beings, we would lose our appreciation for because
- 3:56Speaker 1: it becomes case urah, whatever it is, well, it is
- 3:59Speaker 1: what it is. I'm just what what what you take
- 4:02Speaker 1: it for? Granted, it becomes expected, But what happens in
- 4:05Speaker 1: life says it has so many twisting turns, and then
- 4:09Speaker 1: you learn how to deal with those twisting turns, which
- 4:12Speaker 1: makes you now a more experienced person. And then when
- 4:15Speaker 1: the sunny days come, man, you go wild. It's really
- 4:18Speaker 1: nice outside. You really want to appreciate how warm weather.
- 4:21Speaker 1: Just stay in a bunch of cold weather all the time.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I'm you know what I'm saying. I'm just this is
- 4:26Speaker 1: really really simple and now analogies, but it helps you
- 4:29Speaker 1: along the way. Now here's what I came to say
- 4:33Speaker 1: today to everybody out there. And this has helped me
- 4:36Speaker 1: in my life. I can't tell you what it's done
- 4:39Speaker 1: for me, but a lot of people are struggling with
- 4:44Speaker 1: moving forward with their future, their future plans, their future goals,
- 4:50Speaker 1: their future aspirations, their future hopes, their future dreams, just
- 4:56Speaker 1: simply that your future wants. A lot of people trying
- 5:00Speaker 1: have a hard time mapping out their future, even what
- 5:04Speaker 1: I'm gonna do, what I'm gonna be, what I'm gonna
- 5:07Speaker 1: make ham or go about it? What do I do next?
- 5:11Speaker 1: I want to share something with you that I had
- 5:13Speaker 1: to come to terms with. The quickest way to lose
- 5:17Speaker 1: focus on your future is to keep focusing on your past.
- 5:22Speaker 1: You know, It's like I said at the beginning. You
- 5:24Speaker 1: know when I say, it's wonderful to look at your
- 5:27Speaker 1: life and review it, because if you look at it,
- 5:30Speaker 1: it'll tell you it really helps shape inform you today
- 5:34Speaker 1: as the person you are now. If you look at
- 5:38Speaker 1: it in a positive sense. But if you dwell in
- 5:40Speaker 1: harp on the negative that's happened to you, then that
- 5:44Speaker 1: keeps you from seeing the good in the incident, every
- 5:48Speaker 1: bad thing that's happened to you, that was a silver
- 5:51Speaker 1: lining behind it. I know people who were on drugs
- 5:54Speaker 1: who finally, man just got sent to prison for stealing
- 5:58Speaker 1: because of their habit. I know Cat's soul dope. Well,
- 6:01Speaker 1: he went to prison. He told me one time. He said, Steve,
- 6:05Speaker 1: it's man, this is the best thing ever happened to
- 6:07Speaker 1: me to save my life. Now, most people would think,
- 6:10Speaker 1: how in the world it's going to prison helpful for you?
- 6:14Speaker 1: The brother said, it saved my life. First of all,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it got me clean. He said, I've been cleaned for
- 6:21Speaker 1: five years from sitting in here. That's for starters. I'm cleaned.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I ain't still in no more. I ain't putting myself
- 6:28Speaker 1: in jeopard and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else. He said. Now, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I don't went to college I didn't got a college
- 6:34Speaker 1: degree while I met him. Then he was released from
- 6:38Speaker 1: prison and the brother's life was completely turned around. He married,
- 6:43Speaker 1: he got a family, he got a great job. He
- 6:46Speaker 1: go to work every day. He's a productive citizen. I mean.
- 6:50Speaker 1: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:56Speaker 1: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:59Speaker 1: life that he take it for granted and was missing
- 7:01Speaker 1: because he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:10Speaker 1: I mean. Even in your missteps in life, there is
- 7:14Speaker 1: a purpose for the missteps. Every time you fail, there
- 7:18Speaker 1: was a reason for the failure. See what I had
- 7:21Speaker 1: to do was I had to learn that all of
- 7:23Speaker 1: my failures taught me how to get back up. So
- 7:27Speaker 1: I became a very strong and tough person in getting
- 7:30Speaker 1: back up. And then I was down and out so
- 7:33Speaker 1: long that it taught me how to really appreciate the up.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And so I've taken all of that and used it
- 7:41Speaker 1: those experiences that happened to me, and I became a
- 7:45Speaker 1: more experienced person. So next time when people talk about me,
- 7:49Speaker 1: who don't know me. It don't shake me because everybody's
- 7:53Speaker 1: not gonna like you. Man, you might as well gonna
- 7:55Speaker 1: get on this train right now. And so what I'm
- 7:58Speaker 1: saying to you out there is the quickest way to
- 8:00Speaker 1: lose focus on your future is to keep focusing on
- 8:03Speaker 1: your path. Let it go. Yeah yeah, yeah, he left.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Sometimes the breakup is the blessing. I know it's hard
- 8:11Speaker 1: to break up because now you're loaning you by yourself.
- 8:14Speaker 1: But man, but when you're in misery, When you was
- 8:16Speaker 1: in that, weren't you in complete misery in that? Now
- 8:21Speaker 1: you kept asking God to fix it. But it takes
- 8:24Speaker 1: two people to fix a relationship. It don't just take one.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It takes two to make a thing go right. It
- 8:31Speaker 1: take two to make it out of sight. You really
- 8:34Speaker 1: do have to have two people wanting a relationship to work.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It can't just be one person want a relationship, so
- 8:40Speaker 1: you can pray about the relationship all you want. If
- 8:42Speaker 1: the other person don't want you no more and ain't
- 8:45Speaker 1: gonna act right, you can't make him do that or
- 8:48Speaker 1: you can't make her do that. But you steady asking
- 8:51Speaker 1: God for a new relationship. But you are yet to
- 8:56Speaker 1: be grateful that you are in a position to have
- 8:59Speaker 1: a relationship, and you keep harping on the pass. You
- 9:02Speaker 1: don't think he hear that. I'm just a dude with
- 9:05Speaker 1: a show, and I hear it all the time. Let
- 9:07Speaker 1: it go go forward. It's over. You made it, He
- 9:12Speaker 1: bought you through it, you conquered, you survived it. Why
- 9:17Speaker 1: are you dwelling on it and making it the cross
- 9:20Speaker 1: around your neck when clearly he had removed it for you.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Now all you got to do is come on. So
- 9:27Speaker 1: if you're sitting behind him walls, brothers and sisters, I'm
- 9:30Speaker 1: talking directly to you sometimes. Man, you just got to
- 9:33Speaker 1: get it right. All this repeat of fitting the business
- 9:36Speaker 1: that's for? Who is that for? How ignorant can you
- 9:39Speaker 1: be to keep giving your life back to the penal system?
- 9:43Speaker 1: Be free, man, walk the streets, do the right thing.
- 9:46Speaker 1: Ask God to help connect you. He could do anything.
- 9:50Speaker 1: You think he can't give you a job? Are you serious? Man?
- 9:53Speaker 1: Put some faith on it. Let's move forward, y'all. Let
- 9:55Speaker 1: it go. Let's move you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, to
- 10:02Speaker 1: Steve Harvey morning show has be gone. You are here,
- 10:07Speaker 1: which means you have been blessed to see another day,
- 10:10Speaker 1: and so have we gratitude. Remember that nothing, nothing speaks
- 10:17Speaker 1: more volumes to the heavenly angels, that when we show gratitude,
- 10:22Speaker 1: the trumpets is blaring on your behalf. When you show gratitude,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I am grateful. How about you, ladies and gentlemen. Shirley
- 10:32Speaker 1: Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica, Junior killspace, Nephew, Tommy
- 10:38Speaker 1: U Junior? What's on your mind this morning? Me ask
- 10:41Speaker 1: you something? Uncle? You're six to five and your mantra?
- 10:44Speaker 1: You know why this means so much? You that being
- 10:47Speaker 1: difficult not not mean just being difficult? What what does
- 10:51Speaker 1: that do for you? Well? I don't. I don't really know, Junior.
- 10:54Speaker 1: You know, I was in my high school yearbook voted
- 10:56Speaker 1: me most difficult, So I don't really know. For the test,
- 11:00Speaker 1: I know what it's done for me over the years.
- 11:02Speaker 1: I know what it is caused. It's been some good
- 11:05Speaker 1: with it and it's been some bad with it. But
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm difficult because I don't like going alone with just
- 11:11Speaker 1: what anybody say. You know, I am supposed to present
- 11:16Speaker 1: some type of opposition, some type of resistance, some type
- 11:23Speaker 1: of coope de gral. If you will or to something
- 11:28Speaker 1: that's being said, but I'll never be is just to
- 11:31Speaker 1: go along follow the crowd ass person. So I've developed
- 11:36Speaker 1: a layer in front of me that asked the question WTL,
- 11:45Speaker 1: HTL and how come to el see? Those three things
- 11:55Speaker 1: have been a part of my life. What the elf? Yeah,
- 12:01Speaker 1: white the elf? And I come to elf see? Those
- 12:08Speaker 1: hc TL and those things right there have helped me
- 12:13Speaker 1: create a moment of pause, not only for myself but
- 12:17Speaker 1: people involved. I'll give you an example. Ladies, join in
- 12:21Speaker 1: right now. Ask me anything you want to. I don't
- 12:25Speaker 1: care what the subject is. Just ask a question of
- 12:29Speaker 1: me right now, and I'll give you this today. See
- 12:33Speaker 1: right there? Did the sun come out yesterday and didn't
- 12:41Speaker 1: come out the day before that? Now? Merely what Shirley wants,
- 12:46Speaker 1: clearly is just the answer to the question will the
- 12:49Speaker 1: sun come out today? My resistance to that rather obvious
- 12:55Speaker 1: answer is if it don't come out, all I ask
- 12:59Speaker 1: is to throw to death before we discovered. So now
- 13:05Speaker 1: if it then came, why would you ask me about
- 13:08Speaker 1: the sun today? When it came out yesterday, the day
- 13:10Speaker 1: before that and the day they that don't come out,
- 13:13Speaker 1: we won't know it because I asked, so be frozen. Yes,
- 13:17Speaker 1: call it. Do you ever have anybody to just say
- 13:20Speaker 1: that's okay, that's all right? Then when they asked you
- 13:22Speaker 1: a question, I don't allow that because once you asked
- 13:25Speaker 1: the question, you must want what is the makeup? That is? Me?
- 13:30Speaker 1: And I got to get to you a difficult coming
- 13:36Speaker 1: up after the hour. We got the nephew and run
- 13:41Speaker 1: that frank back right after this. You're listening to show
- 13:46Speaker 1: time now to start your morning off with run that
- 13:49Speaker 1: prank back and the nephew. What do you have for
- 13:52Speaker 1: us this morning? You know? I got it? I got it. Surveyance.
- 13:58Speaker 1: This is surveylance, okay, but you should all have around
- 14:02Speaker 1: your house at this point for alance. You got a
- 14:05Speaker 1: smart house, everybody don't. You can't have no dumb house
- 14:09Speaker 1: in this day and Tam, I have a smart house.
- 14:12Speaker 1: But oh cat dogs the Baylors. Let's get it. Hell, yes,
- 14:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to retail police. Hello. Hello, I'm trying to
- 14:26Speaker 1: reach it missus. Uh police. Hello, My name is Officer
- 14:30Speaker 1: from the Condor Police Department in Narccotics Division. Where's the
- 14:34Speaker 1: call from police Department Narcotics Division. Man, my name is officer. Okay,
- 14:40Speaker 1: I'm giving you a call. Um, there is a possibility
- 14:43Speaker 1: and I want to try and get the particulars with you.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Uh you have two sons? Do you have a one?
- 14:49Speaker 1: And okay, Uh, there's reason to believe that there is
- 14:54Speaker 1: some narcotics going on with these two gentlemen. Now, I
- 14:57Speaker 1: wanted to speak with you about it. My understanding that
- 14:59Speaker 1: you're over the crime watch actually in that particular area, yes, sir,
- 15:02Speaker 1: and I know that here lately there's been um camp Hello, hello,
- 15:10Speaker 1: hang on the phone ahead. It's my understanding. You guys
- 15:14Speaker 1: have I know you've put surveillance cameras up so you
- 15:18Speaker 1: can actually get a general area of what's going on
- 15:20Speaker 1: all right, Yes, sir, Okay, where has been within the
- 15:24Speaker 1: last week, because what we've done is we've put somebody
- 15:27Speaker 1: on them and watched them very closely. And we're wanting
- 15:30Speaker 1: to know from you because I understand that you are
- 15:33Speaker 1: the person over crime watch. What's going on with your
- 15:35Speaker 1: two sons? Well, sir, For one thing, I don't allow
- 15:38Speaker 1: drugs teller for my house period. I don't. I don't
- 15:40Speaker 1: even allow that because I am the head of the
- 15:42Speaker 1: car watch. I don't even allow people to even come
- 15:44Speaker 1: back here. It's a buy drugs. Okay. Now, I know
- 15:47Speaker 1: it's some kids that's mad at my kids. They were
- 15:50Speaker 1: calling the cops to my house, come into my house
- 15:52Speaker 1: and throwing rocks and everything. But I can assure you, sir,
- 15:56Speaker 1: that's one thing I do not play. I do not
- 15:59Speaker 1: allow people to even come back to my house. Okay. Now,
- 16:02Speaker 1: are there surveillance cameras, ma'am that are pointing in any
- 16:05Speaker 1: area like in your back that you haven't really? No more? Okay,
- 16:10Speaker 1: where exactly where your camera's pointing? What angle? Were they
- 16:14Speaker 1: towards the road? Towards the road? Is there anything in
- 16:17Speaker 1: the in the backyard area of where you are? No? Okay,
- 16:22Speaker 1: that's the only one we had. All right, here's what's
- 16:24Speaker 1: going on. We're actually and I'm gonna just be completely
- 16:28Speaker 1: honest with you, miss, there's a possibility of a raid
- 16:30Speaker 1: coming in there because we truly believe that are having
- 16:34Speaker 1: some type of counterband in that house right there. Hello,
- 16:55Speaker 1: see if you can get that tech here? Hello? Okay, yes,
- 17:00Speaker 1: have you spoken, sir? Let me tell you one thing. Okay,
- 17:03Speaker 1: I will bust. I don't even allowed to come back
- 17:07Speaker 1: to my house at all. I don't play that. I'm
- 17:10Speaker 1: a head of crime. Watch. I think all these you
- 17:12Speaker 1: need to go get a job and stop messing up
- 17:14Speaker 1: their damn like that's that's that's what's wrong with them, Okay.
- 17:17Speaker 1: And I don't play that, and I don't appreciate that. Okay.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Are the two boys there right now? Yah? Can I
- 17:24Speaker 1: speak with those guys one by one place? Do you
- 17:27Speaker 1: mind if I do that? Miss They don't want to
- 17:31Speaker 1: come to the phone. Nobody wants to talk to the
- 17:33Speaker 1: office of the law. Huh uh, what do you think,
- 17:37Speaker 1: miss Jo. I'm gonna try to handles as diligently as possible.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Do you think I should come out and speak with
- 17:41Speaker 1: your boys there? No, I'm trying to avoid a raid.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I'm avoided my damn self. No, I'm trying to avoid
- 17:49Speaker 1: a raid coming to your home, man, That's what I'm
- 17:50Speaker 1: trying to do. I want to call and talk to you,
- 17:52Speaker 1: sensible and see if I can get some things rectified here,
- 17:55Speaker 1: because right now it seems like it shouldn't. That camera
- 17:58Speaker 1: should be actually pointing and you're backdoor, your backyard, so
- 18:01Speaker 1: I can see what's going on there. That's what seems
- 18:03Speaker 1: to be happening here. Okay, Well, do what you gotta do,
- 18:07Speaker 1: you know, but I'm gonna go take Okay, uh, well,
- 18:10Speaker 1: before you do all of that, can we permit pretty much?
- 18:13Speaker 1: Let make sure that we know what we're talking about.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Do you think that they have contraband in the household? No,
- 18:17Speaker 1: I don't allow that in my household. Okay, I'm a
- 18:20Speaker 1: Christian woman. I don't allow that in my household. Have
- 18:22Speaker 1: you beat these children before on this particular issue, if
- 18:24Speaker 1: you had problems with them in the pass on this? No?
- 18:27Speaker 1: All right, I don't. I'm just trying to square it
- 18:30Speaker 1: up as quick as possible. I don't want you going
- 18:32Speaker 1: through being stressed out about this particular issue. But I
- 18:35Speaker 1: know that from my understanding, you're supposed to be a
- 18:37Speaker 1: law abiding person and you're trying to be layal biding
- 18:39Speaker 1: very right, Mary, I care very much about my community
- 18:42Speaker 1: and that's why I do not allow these things in
- 18:44Speaker 1: my community. And if they're doing it, trust me, I'm
- 18:47Speaker 1: going to be on as soon as I hang on
- 18:48Speaker 1: this phone. Well, I don't want you to hang up
- 18:50Speaker 1: your check because I got a couple more things I
- 18:51Speaker 1: want to talk to you about. Because if you need
- 18:53Speaker 1: me to come over there and bust with y'all, don't.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I need that comes and I'm gonna help you, but
- 18:59Speaker 1: some too. Okay, I got one more thing I need
- 19:01Speaker 1: to say to you. Are you listening. Yes, this is
- 19:04Speaker 1: Nephew Timing from Steve Harbin Morning Show. You just got
- 19:08Speaker 1: you got pranked by and oh my goodness, I'm going
- 19:13Speaker 1: to kick day behind. Don't do that because I take
- 19:17Speaker 1: that very serious. They told me, they told me you
- 19:20Speaker 1: are about cleaning up the community, and they bet not
- 19:23Speaker 1: be nowhere around. They're selling no dope. And I mean,
- 19:26Speaker 1: all I gotta do is look at me, and I
- 19:27Speaker 1: steer at them and they automatically leave. And that's that's
- 19:30Speaker 1: a good thing. Though, my goodness, I'm gonna get you back. No,
- 19:32Speaker 1: you can't get me. Now, you can get you can
- 19:34Speaker 1: get them, Oh gosh, oh my goodness. And him, I'm
- 19:42Speaker 1: like nervous. I'm like, oh my goodness, oh boy, you
- 19:45Speaker 1: look at you. I didn't want you to get off
- 19:47Speaker 1: that phone because you gonna go beat them boys. You've
- 19:49Speaker 1: got that's right, because I do not play No cops
- 19:52Speaker 1: run up in my house. Miss did We need more
- 19:55Speaker 1: people like you in the community. That's making sure that
- 19:58Speaker 1: we ain't dirtying up the neighborhood. We need you, baby,
- 20:00Speaker 1: for darling. You keep doing what you're doing. I got
- 20:03Speaker 1: one more thing to ask you, though, what is the
- 20:05Speaker 1: baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show, Harvey, any
- 20:11Speaker 1: about everybody with a smart house? Raise your hands, Valence,
- 20:16Speaker 1: My hand is slanging this drugs and stuff, and we're
- 20:21Speaker 1: gonna put a stop to it. That's right. She's saving
- 20:24Speaker 1: the community. That's what she do. That's what we need
- 20:28Speaker 1: more people like huh yes, sir, yes, sirs. She called
- 20:32Speaker 1: you a psychopath. Favorite part. That's that's a compliment to me.
- 20:38Speaker 1: What are you talking about? I embrace that, all right, nephew,
- 20:44Speaker 1: Thank you. Coming up next, it is Asked the Cello

- 21:12Speaker 1: your love questions? Here we go. This one is from
- 21:14Speaker 1: Kamika and Tulsa. Kamika says, I've been seeing a married
- 21:18Speaker 1: man and we have decided to meet in Dallas this
- 21:21Speaker 1: weekend and get a hotel room to celebrate Valentine's Day.
- 21:25Speaker 1: He said, we won't be leaving the room and I
- 21:27Speaker 1: can't bring perfume, scented lotion, or baby oil. I'm not
- 21:32Speaker 1: used to rules or being a side chick. Are these
- 21:36Speaker 1: the normal guidelines? Absolutely not? Absolutely? What was it on?
- 21:43Speaker 1: It can't have no awe, perfume, no scented oils, ain't
- 21:50Speaker 1: no baby oil. No. I don't know what this means
- 21:55Speaker 1: is he don't bathe regular and you can't. That's what
- 21:58Speaker 1: this is to me, because you got to have a
- 22:00Speaker 1: baby all and what this baby gonna do? Ain't you
- 22:04Speaker 1: gonna bathe afterwards? Dog? Now, these scented oils and scented lotions,
- 22:10Speaker 1: I agree with that, because then't be some strong sense.
- 22:14Speaker 1: It's hard to get them off. You know, he can
- 22:17Speaker 1: add to the list. I could. I could tell him
- 22:19Speaker 1: from experience, add any glitter to that. Put that on
- 22:23Speaker 1: your list. Nothing with glitter on it. Put that on
- 22:27Speaker 1: your dog. Yeah, don't pack glitter because you can't get
- 22:31Speaker 1: glitter off I don't care what you do. It's gonna
- 22:35Speaker 1: be glitter, gonna be with you four, five, maybe six days.
- 22:38Speaker 1: It's gonna show little bitty steps of shiny stuff. It'd
- 22:41Speaker 1: be little piece in your ear, it'd be something behind
- 22:44Speaker 1: your ear, it'd be something will deep in your mustash
- 22:47Speaker 1: and it brush up a week later. It's just glitter.
- 22:50Speaker 1: It's just a glitter in your one of the cracks
- 22:53Speaker 1: of your teeth. Then just then, just glitter in one
- 22:56Speaker 1: of your cracks. It just shoulders, it just shows up.
- 23:01Speaker 1: So put glitt on your list. Yes, but this is
- 23:03Speaker 1: the norm, lady, and that's what dust the downside of
- 23:06Speaker 1: what you're doing. Sorry, okay, sorry, all right, well thank you.
- 23:11Speaker 1: Celo Faye and Flidel writes, My younger sister was messing
- 23:15Speaker 1: with our pastor and his wife found out him threatened
- 23:18Speaker 1: my sister. I told the wife, if she wants to
- 23:20Speaker 1: jump on somebody, go chump on her husband. She says,
- 23:23Speaker 1: she'd better not catch my sister alone. I warned her.
- 23:27Speaker 1: If she touches my sister, she's getting touched. Am I
- 23:30Speaker 1: right or wrong? Well? I think you absolutely correct. Family
- 23:34Speaker 1: has to stick together. Even though your sister's wrong. Your
- 23:38Speaker 1: husband is the one who said the vows. He took
- 23:42Speaker 1: the vow. Your sister probably didn't, and so the onus
- 23:47Speaker 1: is on him. He has to be faithful. He's the
- 23:50Speaker 1: one to say he had passed him man of God,
- 23:52Speaker 1: and he the one married. You married the lady that
- 23:55Speaker 1: you want to jump on. So if now she touched
- 23:57Speaker 1: your sister, y'all got to touch her, which is gonna
- 24:00Speaker 1: blow up even more in the past. His face calls,
- 24:02Speaker 1: who is jumping on the first lady? Wow? And the
- 24:08Speaker 1: headlines at the church pamphet first lady receives a second
- 24:12Speaker 1: degree ass That's an ugly headline on the church bulletain news.
- 24:19Speaker 1: Actually a crime, all right, White, all right? Moving on
- 24:33Speaker 1: to Sherry and Evanston. Sherry says, I carpool to work
- 24:37Speaker 1: and it's just three of us now because of COVID.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I dread it when it's one co worker's day to drive,
- 24:43Speaker 1: because we are stuck in her car with the heat
- 24:47Speaker 1: and she's musty. It could be her clothes, but whatever
- 24:51Speaker 1: it is, it is unbearable. Are we supposed to tell
- 24:54Speaker 1: her or do we kick her out of our car
- 24:57Speaker 1: pool group? Well, on that day, on that day, I'm driving, Yeah,
- 25:05Speaker 1: on that day, I'm getting car pool day. Confused, I'm
- 25:10Speaker 1: gonna show up at her house in the car. Yeah,
- 25:15Speaker 1: a matter of fact, I won't forget to pick car.
- 25:17Speaker 1: A matter of fact, I'm just gonna drive to work.
- 25:19Speaker 1: I'm out the car pool. You're not locking me up
- 25:22Speaker 1: in here with this. That's not what you're gonna do.
- 25:24Speaker 1: And it's win of time. But we need some cracks
- 25:26Speaker 1: in these windows anyway. But I'm not fit to be
- 25:29Speaker 1: sitting up in the car with big big funking and
- 25:32Speaker 1: we got to just heat on. I'm not fit to
- 25:35Speaker 1: do this, not not with big funking her coach stinking.
- 25:41Speaker 1: He tell this her car. You can't tell people in
- 25:44Speaker 1: the car she or you could kick her out of
- 25:46Speaker 1: the car pool group. Why she in the car pool?
- 25:49Speaker 1: I don't understand who who put together a car pool list?
- 25:55Speaker 1: Stinking in her cubicle? Why would you think that there's
- 26:00Speaker 1: nothing ain't gonna be strong in this car? She staked
- 26:04Speaker 1: down that lunch. Yeah, she's staking the meetings. She staked
- 26:09Speaker 1: on the line. She staying. They need to do her
- 26:13Speaker 1: favor and tell her. I'd say something, I tell her, Yeah,
- 26:17Speaker 1: but how would you tell her stealer? No, you can't do.
- 26:20Speaker 1: The big people hard to tell because they start swinging.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Now you get your asswhip and that see see, let
- 26:29Speaker 1: me explain something to you. This is a rule I
- 26:33Speaker 1: know about. Musty skinny people get told quick. Anybody scared
- 26:37Speaker 1: of the big skinny people go for years. I want
- 26:45Speaker 1: to say nothing. Don't nobody want to say. They give
- 26:48Speaker 1: him a pass. You know, they figure, well, you know,
- 26:50Speaker 1: maybe because they wasn't a good wash day. You know,
- 26:53Speaker 1: they stuff like that. You know, they couldn't get their
- 26:56Speaker 1: coat off in time. You know, they say stuff like that.
- 26:59Speaker 1: You know, well they did sweat coming up the steps,
- 27:02Speaker 1: you know, as elevator went out. You know, they make
- 27:05Speaker 1: excuses for big people. That's why I'm assuming it's a
- 27:08Speaker 1: big person. Go ahead, yell all right, because Landry in Baltimore,
- 27:13Speaker 1: all right, I'm a twenty three, twenty nine year old
- 27:15Speaker 1: white man married to a thirty year old black woman,
- 27:18Speaker 1: and we've known each other since middle school. She started
- 27:21Speaker 1: smoking hookah and having girls' night out with a new
- 27:24Speaker 1: group of women. I wanted to join them Saturday night.
- 27:27Speaker 1: She said, no, we always hang out together. Should I
- 27:30Speaker 1: be worried? Well, don't look. Let me explain something y'all
- 27:36Speaker 1: in an interracial manage, you know, it always comes. Something
- 27:40Speaker 1: comes with that. I'm not making up anything. That's just
- 27:43Speaker 1: the way it is. She got this new set of
- 27:45Speaker 1: black friends, and she hasn't quite explained you to them yet.
- 27:50Speaker 1: And it's black Nights, and that's just you're gonna come
- 27:53Speaker 1: in there and throw the whole group off. And he
- 27:58Speaker 1: did not say they were black. She just said having
- 28:01Speaker 1: girls night out with a new group of women. He
- 28:03Speaker 1: said he was white, didn't he the reason he specified
- 28:07Speaker 1: he was white because he knows there as a difference. Now,
- 28:11Speaker 1: she didn't met this new group of black girls, and
- 28:13Speaker 1: she has yet to break the news into them that
- 28:17Speaker 1: she's dating Santa Claus. So now if you just show up,
- 28:21Speaker 1: it's gonna throw the whole thing off. Better keep it work.
- 28:25Speaker 1: You already know what this he is now, Hi, guys
- 28:32Speaker 1: who in Baltimore Landry What Hey? I just started to
- 28:40Speaker 1: come up and have lue time the guys. Why ladies,
- 28:44Speaker 1: Keisha Danya Danya time, y'all never get it right? Salt
- 28:52Speaker 1: Da coming up at the top of the hour, ladies
- 28:56Speaker 1: and gentlemen, usher will be our very special guests. After
- 29:02Speaker 1: you're listening to show Hey, y'all, as promise, we got
- 29:09Speaker 1: one of our great family members on the show. H

- 29:17Speaker 1: time Grammy winner. He's already out there, but he'll be
- 29:22Speaker 1: headlining in all new Las Vegas residency Residency at the Dobe,
- 29:26Speaker 1: Live at the Park MGM and the new shows kick
- 29:31Speaker 1: off in ju Live. He's been out there already. If
- 29:35Speaker 1: you haven't seen it, you're missing a treat. One of
- 29:39Speaker 1: the greatest performers live that I'm telling you. I'm telling
- 29:44Speaker 1: you that I've seen the boy got my respect at
- 29:49Speaker 1: Essence one year when he went out and they was
- 29:51Speaker 1: doing a tribute to Luther. That's when I said, oh,
- 29:55Speaker 1: this boy right here, cole ladies and gentlemen, straight out
- 29:58Speaker 1: of ATM, the one and only, the legend that is
- 30:04Speaker 1: Raymond Ushah Man. I don't know if I don't know
- 30:15Speaker 1: if I ever had a better introduction that thing up
- 30:21Speaker 1: and let that be my introduction in Vegas this time.
- 30:23Speaker 1: You know, Hey, hey man, nobody introduced nobody like me. Dog.
- 30:28Speaker 1: One time, I'm gonna come out that I'm gonna bring
- 30:29Speaker 1: you out because, man, let me tell you something, Man,
- 30:32Speaker 1: I've been watching you, and I'm telling you, I last
- 30:35Speaker 1: time I saw you was down at the Kentucky Derby.
- 30:39Speaker 1: But and then we've talked on the phone sets. But man,
- 30:42Speaker 1: this guy's live performance. You forget how many hits this
- 30:48Speaker 1: man got because he wanted them performance where he can
- 30:53Speaker 1: do a whole show and you know, he ain't gotta
- 30:55Speaker 1: do nobody else's cover. This dude got a bunch your
- 31:00Speaker 1: damn hits. Yeah, I went to love. I appreciate the time.
- 31:13Speaker 1: You know that it's taken to build his career, So
- 31:16Speaker 1: not the celebration, you know, it's it's a it's been
- 31:18Speaker 1: a really tough time for a lot of people. So
- 31:20Speaker 1: being able to hold onto that ticket up until this,
- 31:23Speaker 1: up until the point last year was was really a treat.
- 31:27Speaker 1: And uh, it would say, you know, and actually, you know,
- 31:29Speaker 1: I just really enjoyed being able to try things that
- 31:32Speaker 1: I never tried. You know. I decided to do some
- 31:34Speaker 1: things that a little bit different. It was a theatrical
- 31:37Speaker 1: experience because we were in the theater at the time
- 31:39Speaker 1: and we're gonna be again this one as well. Um,
- 31:43Speaker 1: but I just really wanted to just give people something
- 31:46Speaker 1: to remember. It's like I can't remember, you know, talking
- 31:48Speaker 1: about this almost twenty years ago, and I really wanted
- 31:51Speaker 1: to at some point be it a to go to
- 31:52Speaker 1: Las Vegas and and experienced things or experienced music in
- 31:57Speaker 1: a way that felt plastic, the same way that same
- 32:00Speaker 1: me they was junior and all of those guys did it.
- 32:02Speaker 1: But this time, you know, with the celebration of the
- 32:05Speaker 1: music and the dance, and you know, I even skated,
- 32:08Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, with the fashion all of it.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Hey man, let me ask you that. Let me ask
- 32:15Speaker 1: you that, because as a performer, and you say you
- 32:18Speaker 1: kind of talked about this years ago, how does that
- 32:22Speaker 1: feel for you from the standpoint of having had the
- 32:25Speaker 1: career you've had, all the Grammys, all the accolades. How
- 32:30Speaker 1: do you rank a residency in Vegas in all of this.
- 32:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you this much. Not many people can
- 32:36Speaker 1: do it easily. You know. It ain't interress me in
- 32:38Speaker 1: these times, but I say I would rank it um
- 32:44Speaker 1: from one to ten. I say it's a ten. It's like,
- 32:47Speaker 1: you know that with the responsibility of keeping the show,
- 32:52Speaker 1: it's almost it ain't quite like you know, Broadway, but
- 32:54Speaker 1: for the most part, you know, you know that people
- 32:56Speaker 1: are coming from all over the world to see you,
- 32:58Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying, and there they get a
- 33:00Speaker 1: chance to celebrate all of your music. It's it's a
- 33:03Speaker 1: planned destination at that point. It ain't about just let's
- 33:06Speaker 1: just let's just see what's going on over here with
- 33:08Speaker 1: this show. Now they know you know that they come
- 33:10Speaker 1: in to see you and celebrate. You know. So um
- 33:14Speaker 1: for me again as years ago that I knew eventually
- 33:18Speaker 1: I was gonna make it to Las Vegas. And what
- 33:22Speaker 1: better time to do with coming out of the pandemic
- 33:25Speaker 1: and being one of the first shows to open in
- 33:27Speaker 1: Las Vegas, so to cod to Thedobe Live this time
- 33:29Speaker 1: after Brunomars, uh, you know, so many, so many other
- 33:36Speaker 1: performance have been able to get the shows going there.
- 33:38Speaker 1: I'm like, okay, Zobe Live, let me show you what
- 33:40Speaker 1: I got. The lady got got, she did it, she
- 33:42Speaker 1: did it one way, Bruno Mars did it his and
- 33:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna do it my way, you know. Yeah, you know, man,
- 33:49Speaker 1: I want people to understand that's the real sign of fame.
- 33:54Speaker 1: A guy told me one time, he said, Steve, if
- 33:57Speaker 1: you want to if you want to know if you're
- 33:58Speaker 1: famous or not, it's two places. You just need to
- 34:01Speaker 1: go walk down the streets of Manhattan. If don't nobody
- 34:06Speaker 1: stop you, you're not famous, he says, And go to
- 34:10Speaker 1: Las Vegas. If don't nobody stop you, you ain't famous,
- 34:14Speaker 1: he said. Because Las Vegas is where the world goes
- 34:18Speaker 1: the world. And for you to have a residency in
- 34:21Speaker 1: Las Vegas, y'all, listen to me, you have to be
- 34:23Speaker 1: globally famous. You can't just be American famous. That ain't
- 34:27Speaker 1: gonna sell all the tickets. And so that's that's that's
- 34:30Speaker 1: the testament to this brother right here. Now you're gonna
- 34:32Speaker 1: be It opens Friday. This is the New Vegas Show.
- 34:37Speaker 1: It opens A residency opens July fifteenth at the Dobe
- 34:40Speaker 1: Live Everybody at the Park, MGM. You got twenty three
- 34:43Speaker 1: shows on the schedule from July through October this year.
- 34:49Speaker 1: The new show incorporates audience interactions and staging throughout the
- 34:54Speaker 1: Listen to me, y'all, five thousand, two hundred seats. You
- 34:58Speaker 1: can't do that at night unless you're ask famous. This
- 35:01Speaker 1: every night, fifty two hundred seats. You find out real
- 35:06Speaker 1: fash your ass saint got it, especially on a Wednesday. Yeah,
- 35:13Speaker 1: you're gonna have to have a bunch of dark ass nights.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Homie anyway, that's where he's gonna be. Ay uh An,
- 35:23Speaker 1: stick around. We want to do one more break with
- 35:24Speaker 1: your us when we come back. I mentioned in the
- 35:28Speaker 1: intro right here, I said audience interactions and staging throughout.
- 35:34Speaker 1: We're gonna find out if he can drop a little
- 35:35Speaker 1: hints on what that could be like when we come back.
- 35:38Speaker 1: We got more with the world famous, the one and only,
- 35:42Speaker 1: our homie Usher right after this on the Steve Harvey
- 35:45Speaker 1: Morning Show. Yeah you're listening show all right, y'all, we're
- 35:52Speaker 1: back in our special guests this morning is Usher. He's
- 35:55Speaker 1: doing a live residency July fifteenth. It kicks off at
- 35:59Speaker 1: the Dobe five at Park MGM. You're calling this an
- 36:03Speaker 1: immersive show now when we went to break tell it.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Can you give us a little bit about that? What
- 36:08Speaker 1: do you mean by immersive new show with audience interaction?
- 36:11Speaker 1: What do you mean by that? Orsan, Well, if you
- 36:13Speaker 1: had the opportunity to come to law FACS the last time,
- 36:15Speaker 1: I called it an immersive experience because I was gonna
- 36:19Speaker 1: be able to take you, you know into you know,
- 36:22Speaker 1: kind of my mindset before the show actually started. Now
- 36:25Speaker 1: you didn't know that, you know, before you got your ticket.
- 36:29Speaker 1: But if you were able to be a part of
- 36:32Speaker 1: that experience, then you actually got a chance to be
- 36:36Speaker 1: with you know, almost twenty different performance as this immersive
- 36:39Speaker 1: experience that happened before the show. Right, there's this for
- 36:42Speaker 1: Region club that you go to take you to Atlanta,
- 36:45Speaker 1: Magic City, and also too, I took you to this
- 36:48Speaker 1: experience and I had many years in New York. Now
- 36:51Speaker 1: this time at the Double Live. It's gonna be an
- 36:54Speaker 1: interactive experience with my fans. So not only do I incorporate,
- 36:58Speaker 1: you know, all of the hit records, but you know,
- 37:01Speaker 1: you feel like you're actually a part of the show.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You know, the way the room is set up, the
- 37:06Speaker 1: experience that you see, the things that I do, you know,
- 37:09Speaker 1: with the skates on, you see the incredible fashion that's dining.
- 37:13Speaker 1: There's all of these other things that you're gonna get
- 37:15Speaker 1: as an experience that you wouldn't at a normal show.
- 37:17Speaker 1: It's not just you standing in an audience looking at
- 37:19Speaker 1: looking at the show. You actually, you know, depending on
- 37:22Speaker 1: where you see this is um you know, you feel
- 37:25Speaker 1: like you're literally in the show. They ain't a bad
- 37:27Speaker 1: seat in the house. Everybody gets to it's gonna feel
- 37:30Speaker 1: like they are asking the part of the show. Wow,
- 37:32Speaker 1: to be there with your wife, and your wife is
- 37:34Speaker 1: standing there saying these girls are bad. I mean, that's
- 37:39Speaker 1: how everything you got on stage was incredible. Man, everything
- 37:43Speaker 1: If your wife, what would you say? I just say nothing.
- 37:47Speaker 1: I didn't say I didn't say nothing. I didn't agree
- 37:50Speaker 1: with what I just re quiet and just kept us usher.
- 37:54Speaker 1: I didn't know you had a little magic city. See.
- 37:56Speaker 1: I've been in my life. I've been the Magic City

- 38:14Speaker 1: wasn't rich when I was in there. Let's you know

- 39:07Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:12Speaker 1: Track star Shokary Richardson is calling out a double standard
- 39:16Speaker 1: in Olympic sports. The International Olympic Committee decided that Russian
- 39:20Speaker 1: figure skater Kamilla Villieva can continue competing in the Beijing
- 39:25Speaker 1: Winter Games after testing positive for a band drug. The
- 39:29Speaker 1: IOC's ruling raised a lot of questions for Richardson, who
- 39:33Speaker 1: was barred from the Tokyo Summer Games after testing positive
- 39:36Speaker 1: for marijuana. She says, can we get a solid answer
- 39:39Speaker 1: on the difference of her situation and mine? My mother
- 39:43Speaker 1: died and I can't run and was also favored to
- 39:46Speaker 1: place top three. The only difference I see is I'm
- 39:50Speaker 1: a black young lady. This is what that is the
- 39:54Speaker 1: only difference On Twitter, because they were trying to say
- 39:57Speaker 1: that the Russian girl had some problems from family, the problems,
- 40:01Speaker 1: and she's under the care of adults, and so she
- 40:03Speaker 1: took this drug. And because she's a miner under the
- 40:07Speaker 1: supervision of adults, that don't mean a damn thing. Yeah,
- 40:11Speaker 1: they're saying that, you know, the medication maybe was her
- 40:14Speaker 1: grandfather's and there could have been some sort of mix
- 40:17Speaker 1: up there taking their granddaddy. Pilly, Where where does she
- 40:24Speaker 1: find them? Man? Because all that is all the night stand? Yes,
- 40:29Speaker 1: it is his nightstale. Why are you sitting up in
- 40:33Speaker 1: here in his room. You supposed to be out here,
- 40:35Speaker 1: ice skating. What is you in here picking up prescription
- 40:38Speaker 1: medicine off of his damn night stand? For your ass
- 40:41Speaker 1: supposed to be out here? Figure skating? You saw high
- 40:45Speaker 1: and make your grandpapa do when he took it. Now
- 40:47Speaker 1: you're gonna take it. Figure you jump high since it's
- 40:49Speaker 1: helping him get up quicker you figure hell, I'd be
- 40:52Speaker 1: able to do a quadruple loop if I take that chap. Look,
- 40:55Speaker 1: here's a deal. They removed this black girl, and everybody
- 41:02Speaker 1: knows that we don't help you do nothing right, nothing
- 41:09Speaker 1: performance wise, not really dog, But this band subject right
- 41:15Speaker 1: here is on the list now if it's a band.
- 41:17Speaker 1: Now weed is band, and so is she. But the
- 41:21Speaker 1: girl lost her mother. She took it as a coping mechanism. Understood.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Not the best decision, understand that, but that's what she did.
- 41:30Speaker 1: They took her out to the Olympics. She was expected
- 41:34Speaker 1: to meddle. This white girl from Russia is expected to meddle.
- 41:42Speaker 1: She's in the lead. She white, though, See why we
- 41:46Speaker 1: keep what's the surprise? It is the only damn difference.
- 41:55Speaker 1: There's no surprise. That's that's all to it. Listen, listen
- 42:00Speaker 1: to me. She gonna got her. They're gonna find a way.
- 42:09Speaker 1: And let me tell you something. All of the ice
- 42:11Speaker 1: skaters on NBC does commentating, Johnny Weir and the white
- 42:16Speaker 1: girl who was in the Olympics. Yeah, let'm sinking, who
- 42:20Speaker 1: was in the Olympics when she was fifteen. They are
- 42:24Speaker 1: dead set against this decision. They said this girl should
- 42:28Speaker 1: be put out because ice skating has to remain clean
- 42:33Speaker 1: and these are too you know, like me, I don't
- 42:36Speaker 1: care what they do because I know what it is.
- 42:39Speaker 1: It's damn racism, pure and simple, and that's all it's been.
- 42:45Speaker 1: It's just like rescinding the Voting Rights Act it's racism.
- 42:51Speaker 1: Oh and now I was just watching Fox and oh
- 42:54Speaker 1: my god, Hannity and all of them now has jumped
- 42:57Speaker 1: all over this Biden statement of he putting a black
- 43:00Speaker 1: woman on the Supreme Court. Oh, now that the narrative
- 43:04Speaker 1: is so if you're a white man or a Latino
- 43:09Speaker 1: man or woman or Asian American, don't even put your
- 43:13Speaker 1: application in. It has been narrowed down to simply it's
- 43:18Speaker 1: going to be a black woman. And that's unconstituted. Oh,
- 43:22Speaker 1: Fox's ride this one in the ground. He should have
- 43:25Speaker 1: just nominated the lady. And that was it. Don't You
- 43:30Speaker 1: cannot tell these Republicans what you're going to do. I
- 43:36Speaker 1: thought it was a stupid mistake on his part. You
- 43:40Speaker 1: don't tell the enemy what you're about to do. Man,
- 43:44Speaker 1: just just just announced the lady. Yeah, I don't like that.
- 43:49Speaker 1: That was a that's a that's not smart politics. Man.
- 43:53Speaker 1: All right, coming up next and the prank phone call.
- 43:57Speaker 1: We'll get into it right after this You're listening show
- 44:03Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 44:05Speaker 1: four minutes after. It's my strawberry letter for today, the
- 44:07Speaker 1: subject my husband found the wrong gift. We'll get into that. Yeah,
- 44:14Speaker 1: just a little bit, and it is just what you think.
- 44:17Speaker 1: But right now the nephew is here with today's frank
- 44:19Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us? Now? Well, you
- 44:21Speaker 1: remember we used to have you know, back indad it
- 44:24Speaker 1: used to be calendars with the hunks on it, you know,
- 44:26Speaker 1: the fireman only remember that? Remember that? Yeah, and of
- 44:30Speaker 1: course you know me and we always had this centerfold.
- 44:33Speaker 1: We always had the great calendar with the beautiful latest
- 44:36Speaker 1: on it. Yeah. Okay, well you know we're going than
- 44:39Speaker 1: you do a calendar? Shirts off the calendar. No, he
- 44:42Speaker 1: ain't doing a calendar. I don't think you might have
- 44:45Speaker 1: done an hour. He might have done an hour, ain't
- 44:47Speaker 1: done no mind, No hotties remember my hotties. And you go.
- 44:53Speaker 1: But this right here is church calendar. Somebody. If you
- 44:58Speaker 1: would turn into your neighbor and say church calord, won't
- 45:04Speaker 1: he do what? Let's go cat down church? Hello? Hello,

- 49:11Speaker 1: them on our list. We got them on our list

- 49:15Speaker 1: wrong with you? Man? Hey man, listen, just to help

- 49:23Speaker 1: you know, get your my wife and on swim suit. Man. No,
- 49:26Speaker 1: this is just something we're trying to do for the ministry. Dude,
- 49:29Speaker 1: you know what are you at the church? Did you
- 49:31Speaker 1: work at the church for a turn part time? I'm
- 49:33Speaker 1: at the church? Okay, are you there there? No, I'm

- 53:46Speaker 1: on tight. We got it for you. Here it is
- 53:48Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. Thank you, nephew. Subject my husband found the
- 53:52Speaker 1: wrong gift. Dear Stephen Shirley. I've been married to an
- 53:56Speaker 1: interesting man for nineteen years and we have a daughter
- 53:59Speaker 1: that's a freshman in college. He works two jobs by
- 54:02Speaker 1: choice because he gives my daughter any and everything she
- 54:05Speaker 1: asked for. He stopped spoiling me years ago, and I'm jealous.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Since he works a lot, I have plenty of time alone.
- 54:13Speaker 1: It's true that an idle mind is the devil's workshop.
- 54:16Speaker 1: And out of sheer boredom, I started flirting with an
- 54:20Speaker 1: old acquaintance on Facebook. He knows I'm married and he's
- 54:24Speaker 1: married too, so we both are bored and wanted someone
- 54:27Speaker 1: else to talk to. He asked me where I worked,
- 54:29Speaker 1: and I told him, but I didn't mention that I'm
- 54:32Speaker 1: working remotely right now. This past Friday, he dropped a
- 54:35Speaker 1: small red box off at my office and the receptionists
- 54:39Speaker 1: call me to come pick it up. She said, quote,
- 54:42Speaker 1: a man that's not your husband dropped off something for
- 54:45Speaker 1: you that was nothing but shade. But I went right
- 54:48Speaker 1: up to my office and got my gift. The box
- 54:51Speaker 1: contained some small red lingerie and one hundred dollars cash
- 54:56Speaker 1: with a sweet card. When I got home, I slid
- 54:59Speaker 1: the box under my bed. When my husband came home,
- 55:02Speaker 1: I was in bed. He was getting undressed and he
- 55:05Speaker 1: took his wedding band off and it rolled under the bed.
- 55:09Speaker 1: He saw the box and looked at me, smiling. He
- 55:12Speaker 1: opened it and started getting giddy. He thought it was
- 55:15Speaker 1: his Valentine's present, so I had to play it off
- 55:18Speaker 1: and put the lingerie on. It was way too small
- 55:21Speaker 1: for me, and it almost cut my circulation off. I
- 55:24Speaker 1: couldn't wait for him to rip it off. I had
- 55:26Speaker 1: to go through two rounds of bad sex, but he
- 55:29Speaker 1: was so happy. I want my one hundred dollars back,
- 55:31Speaker 1: and I want to tell him another man gave me
- 55:33Speaker 1: that gift because he sent our daughter flowers for Valentine's
- 55:37Speaker 1: and he didn't give me any. Should I tell him
- 55:39Speaker 1: just to make him jealous? No, you should not, and
- 55:43Speaker 1: especially you shouldn't be jealous of your daughter. And I mean,
- 55:47Speaker 1: you know, making him think that the gift was for
- 55:49Speaker 1: him was the only option you had at the time,
- 55:52Speaker 1: because that could have gotten really ugly, but not as
- 55:56Speaker 1: ugly as it already is. I mean, I'm surprised you're
- 55:58Speaker 1: still sleeping with him. You have so much, so many
- 56:01Speaker 1: complaints about him. You stayed in there for not one,
- 56:04Speaker 1: but two rounds of bad sex, you say, so, so
- 56:07Speaker 1: how long are you gonna put up with that? You
- 56:10Speaker 1: got nothing for Valentine's Day, but he got the money,
- 56:13Speaker 1: the sexy Undy's and he got sex with you twice.
- 56:16Speaker 1: You said he stopped spoiling you years ago. You did
- 56:19Speaker 1: not tell us why why did that stop? I mean
- 56:22Speaker 1: other than he's working two jobs. Now you're thinking it's
- 56:26Speaker 1: to spoil your daughter, and you're jealous of that. He's
- 56:30Speaker 1: not married to his daughter. He's married to you, and
- 56:33Speaker 1: the idea that you're no longer number one in this
- 56:35Speaker 1: life should be unacceptable to you. You left a lot
- 56:39Speaker 1: out in this letter. You guys have grown very far apart.
- 56:42Speaker 1: Now you're thinking about cheating with someone from your past
- 56:46Speaker 1: that you met off Facebook. I mean that's not going
- 56:49Speaker 1: to solve your marital issues. You're looking for attention. Your
- 56:52Speaker 1: husband sounds coolest to your needs as far as that's concerned,
- 56:56Speaker 1: and that has to change because your marriage is already
- 56:59Speaker 1: in trouble. You're thinking about Hey, I know you say
- 57:02Speaker 1: you want someone to talk to, but that's how it starts. Okay,
- 57:05Speaker 1: that is how it starts. Those thoughts become actions. If
- 57:08Speaker 1: you still want your marriage to work, I think you
- 57:11Speaker 1: guys need to get in some sort of marriage counseling
- 57:14Speaker 1: or therapy right away. At that, Shirley, absolutely brilliant answer.
- 57:23Speaker 1: I agree with every single thing you said well said,
- 57:28Speaker 1: which leaves me nowhere to go in this letter except
- 57:32Speaker 1: to dig and find little gems of ignorance that may
- 57:40Speaker 1: be typed in this letter some square. So come on
- 57:43Speaker 1: with me as I take you through the mind of
- 57:46Speaker 1: the person who writes a letter like this. Even the
- 57:50Speaker 1: subject my husband found the wrong guilt, even the way
- 57:55Speaker 1: he found it was just, oh my goodness, Where you
- 58:00Speaker 1: hid the gift was, oh my goodness, how you hire
- 58:04Speaker 1: the gift? Under the damn bear? Who do that? What
- 58:08Speaker 1: is he? Foe? What is he? Phoont he don't go
- 58:11Speaker 1: under the bed who hids to give? Who do that? Anyway?
- 58:17Speaker 1: You've been married to an interesting man nineteen years old,
- 58:20Speaker 1: got a daughter's freshman in college. He works two jobs
- 58:22Speaker 1: by choice because he gives my daughter any and everything
- 58:26Speaker 1: she asked for. So now the rest of the letter
- 58:31Speaker 1: is to penalize the man for being a great father.
- 58:36Speaker 1: But there's more to it. As Shirley said, he stopped
- 58:40Speaker 1: spoiling me years ago, and I'm jealous something happened years
- 58:46Speaker 1: ago that you're not putting in this letter. Demand just stopped?
- 58:51Speaker 1: And did he turn his attention to someone who was
- 58:54Speaker 1: more appreciative? Did someone start saying, thank you, daddy, while
- 58:59Speaker 1: you're wonderful. Did somebody go, you're the best dad any
- 59:02Speaker 1: girl could ever have. Did you stop saying you were
- 59:05Speaker 1: the best husband? Thank you for all of your hard work. No,
- 59:09Speaker 1: you're just married to an interesting man. Then, as you said,
- 59:14Speaker 1: since he works a lot, you've got plenty time alone.
- 59:17Speaker 1: And now here we go and I don't mind is
- 59:18Speaker 1: the devil's workshop, And out of sheer boredom, I started
- 59:23Speaker 1: flirting with an all acquaintance on Facebook. You do understand
- 59:27Speaker 1: that this entire letter is really looking like your fault
- 59:31Speaker 1: because your husband working two jobs and spoiling your daughter,
- 59:36Speaker 1: showing her how a man should treat her, giving her
- 59:39Speaker 1: an example of what love looks like from the eyes
- 59:41Speaker 1: of a daughter through watching her father and you taking
- 59:45Speaker 1: it as he stops spoiling me. I'm jealous, I'm bored.
- 59:49Speaker 1: I'm flirting on Facebook. Facebook then ended a lot of marriages.
- 59:55Speaker 1: Get ready for yours to be gone too. Right now,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: we gotta take a break right here. We'll have part
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: two of your response coming up at twenty three minutes
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: after the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter subjects I know you
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: just got into it. Today's Strawberry Letter, my husband found
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: the wrong gift. We'll get right back to it right
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: my husband found the wrong gift. Everything about this letter
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: is crazy. This woman is married to what she claims
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: as an interesting man who has a freshman daughter in college.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: To both of them, he's spoiling her. He's got two jobs,
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: she says, to give the daughter in and everything she
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: asked for. He stopped spoiling me years ago. And I'm jealous. Well,
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: then she says, since he works a lot, she got
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: plenty of time by herself. And then she says that
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: it's true that an idol mind is a devil's playground.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: So she started flirting with an old acquaintance on Facebook.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: Facebook and ended a lot of marriages, and this has
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: been to be another one. He knows I'm married and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: he's married too, so we both are bored and wanted
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: someone else to talk to. Lady, everything you're saying, it's
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: like somebody going so what because you're not. All you're
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: doing is justifying the dirt that you've done. Oh, this
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: is a letter field with justification. He asked me where
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: I worked, and I told him. Now, let me tell
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: you something. This has been going on for a while
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: now because you jumped from they want somebody else to
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: talk to to. He asked me where I worked, and
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: I told him, but I didn't mention that I'm working
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: remotely right now. So on this past Friday, he dropped
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: the small box office. Excuse me, He dropped a small
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: red box off at her office, and the receptions called
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: me to pick it up. As she said, a man
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: that's not your husband dropped off something for you. That
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: was nothing but shade. Well, what you want, lady, that
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: ain't the lady ain't being messy or shady. This is
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: a fact. A man dropped a red box off up
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: hill where you don't work at no MO. And it
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: wasn't your husband. But I went right up to my
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: office and got my guilt that I show my husband
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: buying this girl all this stuff. That girl is your daughter, damn,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: so now I showed her. I went right on up
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: there to get my guilt. The box contained some small
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: red lingerie and a hundred dollars cash. I don't be done.
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: That's all the table, the thought that I didn't put
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: into all these gifts over the years with my wife,
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: all of us stuff out and spend money off. A
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: I really had to do was get a live bitty
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: red pair of larger rain, cut her blood off, and
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: put a hundred dollars in the box. Boy, that's it.
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: When you married, and you know she mattered. All you
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: need is a small ass box with a hundred dollars in.
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: He man get out of you, and then she said
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: with a sweet card, you're just you easy, you easy.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: You get excited about little or nothing because you want
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: to when I got home, I slid the box under
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: my bed. Excuse me, you slid the box under y'all's bed.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: He go a good part. When my husband came home,
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: I was in bed. He was getting undressed, and he
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: took his wed bed off and it rolled under the bed.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: I be down. Ain't that how you get busted always
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: on some dump stuff? He took the wedding band off
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and it just so had clickly it hit the float
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: and roll under the bed. When my husband and then
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: he saw the box and looked at me smiling. He
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: opened it and started getting giddy because he thought it
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: was his Valentine's President. Well, I don't know how that is,
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: because fellas for the last time you got a pleasent
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: on Valentine, I never expected nothing. I be done. So
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: how old is he here? In his eighties or something?
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: On the hell? And we started getting Valentine's stay gifts? Anyway?
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: Uh it was. I had to play it off and
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: put the lingerie on. It was way too small for
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: me and it almost cut my circulation off. I couldn't
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: wait for him to rip it off. I had to
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: go through two rounds of bad sex, but he was
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: so happy. I want my hundred dollars back, and I
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: want to tell him another man gave me that gift
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: because he sent our daughter flowers for Valentine's and he
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: didn't give me any. Now, the dumbest line in this
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: whole letter is you want to tell your husband. Let
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: me understand this, that another man gave you that gift
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: because your husband sent your daughter flowers for Valentine's then
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: didn't give you any. So your snapback for that is,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell him that another man sent this red
- 1:05:36Speaker 1: box up to my job. I would up there and
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: picked it up. Is too small for me, but I
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: put it on just to deceive you. You ripped it
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: off and you took my one hundred dollars. I want
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: one hundred dollars back. Should I tell him just to
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: make Kim jealous? Lady, This ain't gonna make Kim jealous.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: This FINNI caused a whole lot of other thing. Jealousy
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: gonna be your least of words in the police report
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: when y'all it out, jealousy, it's gonna be other things,
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: and the police report like a sault in battery, receiving
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: stolen property. It's gonna be a lot of stuff in
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: this police report, but jealousy won't be in that. That's
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: the dumbest thing you could do. Lord. Post your comments,
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: Thank you, Steve. Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter

- 1:09:46Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, you could say
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: this about Kanye and Julia Fox's relationship if you want
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: to call it that, Well, that was short lived. U.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: In case you haven't heard, Kanye Julia Fox have called
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: it quits. Yeah, they dated for a couple of months. Uh.

- 1:11:30Speaker 1: for that moment. Yeah, that's not temporary, then, Junior, I
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: help I tell him. I told her, I said, you
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: know what, he is a great guy. You agree with her.
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: I agree right with us. Stay right there with it
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: the whole time. Let me come here, let me call you,

- 1:12:12Speaker 1: back to him if she, dude, that's where you think good,
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: because this is when we go back and keep trying
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: to tell me that I ought to not let you
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: just walk on me. But I told him, yeah, I
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: don't mind. Just keep on using me until you use
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: me up. I O, yeah, use me, baby, Y grooved me.
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: I say us, you got my brother. He sent me
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: right down and he talked to me, and he tried
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: to tell me that I ought to not let you
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: just use me. But I want to spread the news
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: that if it feels this good getting used, oh, you
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: just keep on using me until you use me up.

- 1:15:28Speaker 1: alimony that she didn't have enough money left to pay
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: any of her bills, and that he spent all of
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: her money. That was basically what she said was the
