- 0:00Speaker 1: Three words that I'm excited to say. Texas, Mississippi and freedom.
- 0:06Speaker 1: It is official. The insanity in this country is starting
- 0:10Speaker 1: to end with the lockdowns. Both the Texas and Mississippi
- 0:14Speaker 1: governors have decided that they've had enough, that enough is
- 0:18Speaker 1: enough that putting kids, putting parents, putting businesses through these lockdowns,
- 0:22Speaker 1: through these mass man dates, and the government demanding that
- 0:27Speaker 1: you do it, threatening your livelihood, threatening your family, threatening
- 0:31Speaker 1: everything that makes our freedoms literally be free, to be
- 0:36Speaker 1: a free society. They've decided enough. After a year of
- 0:42Speaker 1: being stuck inside for many people in Mississippi and Texas,
- 0:45Speaker 1: forced to wear masks, forced to destroy our own businesses,
- 0:49Speaker 1: these governors were the ones that we're willing to take
- 0:52Speaker 1: the political risk of saying enough is enough. And you've
- 0:55Speaker 1: got to understand the political risk here. Everyone will criticize
- 0:59Speaker 1: them for doing this, especially in the media, and if
- 1:01Speaker 1: they get it wrong or the numbers spike, it could
- 1:05Speaker 1: cost them their entire political career. And if you don't
- 1:09Speaker 1: think that the left and the media are hoping that
- 1:11Speaker 1: they're going to be spikes in Mississippi, and they're hoping
- 1:14Speaker 1: that they're going to be spikes in Texas, and they
- 1:17Speaker 1: can say these leaders are irresponsible. You're not paying attention.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Look at the governor who's actually under recall right now
- 1:25Speaker 1: in California. Look at look at what he put out
- 1:28Speaker 1: a tweet yesterday. This is completely irresponsible. This is the
- 1:32Speaker 1: worst thing I've ever heard. This is the word this is.
- 1:34Speaker 1: This is absurd that they're doing this. And why is
- 1:37Speaker 1: he doing it? Because he's doubling down. He's basically trying
- 1:40Speaker 1: to justify the taking away of all the freedom of
- 1:43Speaker 1: his population in California to the point where they've actually
- 1:47Speaker 1: decided to recall him. That's exactly why they're doing this.
- 1:52Speaker 1: They're wanting to shame Texas. They're wanting to shame Mississippi.
- 1:56Speaker 1: And there's going to be other states that are going
- 1:58Speaker 1: to come after this, and they should come after this.
- 2:03Speaker 1: We know how to take care of ourselves. And let's
- 2:06Speaker 1: also be very clear about what these governors are saying.
- 2:09Speaker 1: They're not saying you can't wear a mask. This is
- 2:11Speaker 1: called individual freedom. They're not saying that you can't wear
- 2:15Speaker 1: two masks or three masks, or five masks or eight masks.
- 2:18Speaker 1: They're not saying that you have to go out in
- 2:20Speaker 1: public every day, all day They're not saying you have
- 2:22Speaker 1: to take risks or not saying that you have to
- 2:24Speaker 1: go out and eat in a restaurant. They're not saying
- 2:26Speaker 1: that you have to risk your life and or die.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You get to decide in Texas and in Mississippi what
- 2:33Speaker 1: precautions you choose to take. By the way, I'm going
- 2:37Speaker 1: to keep wearing my mask. I'm going to keep wearing
- 2:40Speaker 1: my mask because I need to protect my family. Because
- 2:42Speaker 1: I have people in my family that are dealing with
- 2:44Speaker 1: cancer and in cancer treatment. I'm not going to put
- 2:47Speaker 1: them at a higher risk of getting COVID because I
- 2:51Speaker 1: refuse to deal with the reality that it does help
- 2:54Speaker 1: to wear a mask. But that is about personal freedom,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and every one of you that's listening right now really
- 3:00Speaker 1: needs to take this moment to spend some quality time
- 3:03Speaker 1: with your kids and your grandkids, and you need to
- 3:06Speaker 1: use this teachable moment to explain to your children what
- 3:08Speaker 1: freedom actually is. I truly believe that our kids do
- 3:12Speaker 1: not understand freedom now more than ever before because of
- 3:14Speaker 1: the way we've been living the last year. You need
- 3:17Speaker 1: to explain them that's not irresponsible to give people the
- 3:20Speaker 1: individual rights to decide what is best for them and
- 3:23Speaker 1: their family. You know what makes this country great, what
- 3:27Speaker 1: makes this country grades. You have the freedom in this
- 3:29Speaker 1: country to actually live outside. You have the freedom in
- 3:33Speaker 1: this country to be homeless. You have the freedom in
- 3:36Speaker 1: this country to become a multibillionaire. You have the freedom
- 3:38Speaker 1: in this country to live in and a get a community.
- 3:40Speaker 1: You have a freedom in this country to live in
- 3:42Speaker 1: a hut. You have a freedom in this country to
- 3:44Speaker 1: live in a house or no windows. You have a
- 3:45Speaker 1: freedom to live in a safe community. You have freedom
- 3:49Speaker 1: to live in a dangerous community. You have freedom to
- 3:52Speaker 1: vote for people that you want to vote for. You
- 3:53Speaker 1: have the freedom to live in the country where no
- 3:55Speaker 1: one sees you, or to live in a city where
- 3:57Speaker 1: you're surrounded by people. That is personal choice and actual
- 4:01Speaker 1: freedom is about. And there's so many kids that do
- 4:04Speaker 1: not understand that now because of the way we've been
- 4:06Speaker 1: living under this insane government that is oppressing our freedoms.
- 4:12Speaker 1: I will still wear my mask. And what these governors
- 4:16Speaker 1: understand in Texas and Mississippi and others that I'm sure
- 4:19Speaker 1: we'll follow suit now. Because they were too afraid to
- 4:22Speaker 1: be the first right, They were too afraid to risk
- 4:24Speaker 1: their political career to do the right thing. And people
- 4:26Speaker 1: need to remember these two governors. They need to remember
- 4:29Speaker 1: what they just did. They did take a massive political
- 4:32Speaker 1: risk because the left is ready to pounce. The media
- 4:37Speaker 1: is ready to blame them for people's desks. The media
- 4:39Speaker 1: is ready to blame them for people hurting and suffering.
- 4:42Speaker 1: The media is ready to blame them for another quote
- 4:44Speaker 1: lockdown or having to go backwards. The media is ready
- 4:48Speaker 1: to blame them for opening up their states. After a
- 4:50Speaker 1: year of living an insane in an insane world, I
- 4:55Speaker 1: shall have the freedom to decide if I need to
- 4:57Speaker 1: wear a mask or not. I shall the freedom decide
- 5:00Speaker 1: if I'm going to go out and shop or go
- 5:02Speaker 1: to a local business. I should have the freedom to
- 5:05Speaker 1: go out and decide if I'm going to eat with
- 5:07Speaker 1: other people that I don't know in a restaurant. Governor
- 5:11Speaker 1: Greg Abbott of Texas and Tate Reeves of Mississippi, they
- 5:16Speaker 1: have decided to give Americans their freedom back. This will
- 5:22Speaker 1: start a chain reaction across the country. I firmly believe that.
- 5:27Speaker 1: And if you don't think that the left is hoping
- 5:30Speaker 1: that people are going to die, and they're not hoping
- 5:32Speaker 1: this is a bad decision. They can throw in their face.
- 5:34Speaker 1: You haven't been paying attention to what's happening in Florida.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Look at what they've done to Governor de Santis and Fida.
- 5:39Speaker 1: And by the way, he has a fifty five percent
- 5:41Speaker 1: approval rating in the state and it's going up right
- 5:42Speaker 1: now because the people in Forida realize that this governor
- 5:45Speaker 1: got it right. He didn't lock down, he didn't shut down.
- 5:48Speaker 1: He kept the businesses open, He kept the state open.
- 5:51Speaker 1: He did the opposite of California, where they're recalling their governor.
- 5:54Speaker 1: He did the opposite of what Governor Cuomo did in
- 5:56Speaker 1: New York City and New York State. He did the
- 5:59Speaker 1: complete opposite of what the liberal psychotic left in Michigan
- 6:03Speaker 1: and the governor Michigan decided to do there, which they said,
- 6:06Speaker 1: we're going to tell you what you can and can't
- 6:08Speaker 1: do as a grown adult in society. We're going to
- 6:11Speaker 1: tell you can't go to work, you can't open your business,
- 6:14Speaker 1: you can't work next somebody else, you can't travel, you
- 6:16Speaker 1: can't do all of these things for an entire year,
- 6:18Speaker 1: and it will ruin your life. And we don't care
- 6:20Speaker 1: because we have power. Take a listen to what Governor
- 6:25Speaker 1: Abbott had to say very simple and his announcing of
- 6:29Speaker 1: the reopening of the entire state. So today I'm issuing
- 6:35Speaker 1: a new executive order that rescinds most of the earlier
- 6:39Speaker 1: executive orders. Effective next Wednesday, all businesses of any type
- 6:48Speaker 1: are allowed to open one that includes any type of entity.
- 6:59Speaker 1: And also I am ending the statewide mask mandate. Freedom.
- 7:08Speaker 1: This is what America has always been about, the freedom
- 7:13Speaker 1: to choose and to decide what is best for you
- 7:16Speaker 1: and your family. And they're finally getting back to it
- 7:18Speaker 1: after a year in Texas and Mississippi. What the governor
- 7:24Speaker 1: in Texas is telling Texans and anybody visiting Texas is this,
- 7:30Speaker 1: We're not going to keep you locked up. We're not
- 7:32Speaker 1: going to keep your businesses limited just because we said so.
- 7:37Speaker 1: We are going to open up our state and we're
- 7:40Speaker 1: gonna let you decide. That is what makes America so great.
- 7:45Speaker 1: I get to decide what's best for my family instead
- 7:48Speaker 1: of being dictated by a government for an entire year,
- 7:50Speaker 1: what I can and cannot do, how much money I
- 7:52Speaker 1: can and cannot make. I'll give you a great example
- 7:55Speaker 1: of just how damning these lockdowns have been. In my
- 7:59Speaker 1: hometown of Memphis, Tennessee. You have the oldest barbecue restaurant
- 8:04Speaker 1: in the entire city, and Memphis is clearly the barbecue
- 8:09Speaker 1: capital of the world. It has the world barbecue cooking contest.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Because of the lockdowns because of the pandemic, a ninety
- 8:19Speaker 1: nine year old restaurant has been forced to sell. It
- 8:24Speaker 1: is an icon. In fact, it was one of the
- 8:26Speaker 1: favorite places for Elvis Presley to go eat Leonard's Barbecue.
- 8:30Speaker 1: It is the oldest barbecue restaurant that is currently serving
- 8:33Speaker 1: barbecue in the most historic city in America for barbecue,
- 8:38Speaker 1: and the COVID nineteen pandemic has forced the owner of
- 8:41Speaker 1: the city's oldest barbecue restaurant to sell his business. Dan
- 8:45Speaker 1: Brown is the owner of Leonard's Pitt Barbecue in Fox Meadows.
- 8:50Speaker 1: He says business at the eatery is down nearly seventy
- 8:53Speaker 1: percent from a year ago, and he can no longer
- 8:56Speaker 1: afford to keep it going. I wasn't an extra are
- 9:00Speaker 1: we wealthy person? What I had was the business and
- 9:03Speaker 1: the sail coming. And you know, the first three or
- 9:06Speaker 1: four months when it first started, about fifty percent of
- 9:09Speaker 1: my total backup cash and assets were completely gone. Probably,
- 9:14Speaker 1: he says, never to return. Brown said his buffet and
- 9:18Speaker 1: catering business made up about seventy five percent of his sales,
- 9:22Speaker 1: and with all the restrictions, he doesn't see either coming
- 9:26Speaker 1: back anytime soon. Quote. At some point, it's got to
- 9:31Speaker 1: be somebody owning this and hopefully me working for them,
- 9:37Speaker 1: somebody that has some cash to whether hover long. This
- 9:40Speaker 1: storm is going to last, Brown said. Leonard's Pitt Barbecue
- 9:44Speaker 1: opened its stores in nineteen twenty two. On their website,
- 9:49Speaker 1: the restaurant talks about the history and the fact that
- 9:52Speaker 1: Elvis Presley was a regular. The owner now, who seventy four,
- 9:57Speaker 1: actually began working at the restaurant in nineteen sixty two
- 10:01Speaker 1: while he was in high school to help support his family. Quote.
- 10:04Speaker 1: The first thing I did every day when I came
- 10:06Speaker 1: to work was cut one hundred and fifty pounds of onions,
- 10:10Speaker 1: one hundred pounds for onion rings, and fifty pounds for hamburgers.
- 10:15Speaker 1: And then I just did all the odd jobs around
- 10:17Speaker 1: the kitchen. I was there about two years before they
- 10:22Speaker 1: even thought about teaching me how to make a barbecue sandwich,
- 10:25Speaker 1: the owner now laughs. Brown then bought that restaurant in
- 10:28Speaker 1: nineteen ninety three, when it was at a second location,
- 10:32Speaker 1: and he never looked back. It's the only thing I've
- 10:36Speaker 1: done my entire life. You ask anybody that owns or
- 10:39Speaker 1: has worked at a restaurant, this whole their whole life,
- 10:42Speaker 1: and it's just gets in your blood, the owner said. Unfortunately,
- 10:47Speaker 1: Brown said, it's now all over. He said even after
- 10:51Speaker 1: the news came out that he was selling because the
- 10:54Speaker 1: pandemic has destroyed his business in his entire retirement account.
- 11:00Speaker 1: He did say that he did have a good day
- 11:01Speaker 1: this week because nostalgia kicked in and people came back,
- 11:06Speaker 1: he said. Unfortunately, it was still far below the average
- 11:08Speaker 1: daily sales pre pandemic. Maybe things will get better and
- 11:12Speaker 1: everybody will want to buy, he said. Brown is selling
- 11:16Speaker 1: the restaurant and the building, the oldest barbecue restaurant in Memphis,
- 11:21Speaker 1: all because of a pandemic that is forced because the
- 11:24Speaker 1: government doesn't know what the hell they're doing, shutting people's
- 11:27Speaker 1: lives down and destroying even the oldest barbecue restaurant in town.
- 11:32Speaker 1: If you if that isn't a better that isn't the
- 11:36Speaker 1: best example of what the government has done, not to help,
- 11:40Speaker 1: but to hurt, not to support, but to destroy businesses
- 11:45Speaker 1: and small businesses. I don't know what is You should
- 11:48Speaker 1: never have a barbecue restaurant in Memphis, Tennessee. The oldest
- 11:53Speaker 1: one go up for sale because of a pandemic. And
- 11:55Speaker 1: this is the only reason why it's up for sale
- 11:57Speaker 1: is because of the pandemic. That's it. That's the only reason.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And finally two governors had the guts to say exactly
- 12:08Speaker 1: what it is that I'm saying right now. We got
- 12:11Speaker 1: to stop this. It's not our job to dictate to
- 12:14Speaker 1: you how to live your life. It is our job
- 12:16Speaker 1: to educate you on the risk, and then you get
- 12:18Speaker 1: to decide what is best for you, your family, your business,
- 12:22Speaker 1: and everyone around you. I'm gonna wear a mask. I'm
- 12:28Speaker 1: gonna wear a mask because it's what's best for my family.
- 12:31Speaker 1: I don't think I should force you to wear a mask.
- 12:33Speaker 1: That's not freedom. That's why they're telling these citizens in
- 12:38Speaker 1: the state, Hey, don't keep yourselves locked up, don't keep
- 12:42Speaker 1: your businesses shut down. We're not gonna limit your businesses anymore.
- 12:45Speaker 1: We're gonna let you decide if you think Democrats are
- 12:49Speaker 1: gonna not try to make political hand of this. Insert
- 12:54Speaker 1: liberal Austin, Texas mayor who as soon as it was
- 12:58Speaker 1: announced that his state was gonna open back up, he
- 13:01Speaker 1: came out guns ablazing and notice on almost everything that
- 13:06Speaker 1: he's going to say that I'm about to play for you.
- 13:08Speaker 1: It is all. It's not really about the citizens that
- 13:10Speaker 1: are hurting. It's not about the kids that have been
- 13:12Speaker 1: locked up, it's not about the mental health issues. It's
- 13:15Speaker 1: not about the small businesses have been lost in Ruin.
- 13:17Speaker 1: It's not about the people that have lost their jobs
- 13:19Speaker 1: working in Austin and the music district right, none of
- 13:22Speaker 1: this is about them. It's more fearmongering, the same fear
- 13:25Speaker 1: mongering that we have had for the last year plus.
- 13:30Speaker 1: For the last year, they've been fearmonger us. You cannot
- 13:32Speaker 1: tell me that I mean, and I'm not trying to
- 13:35Speaker 1: be mean, but understand what I'm saying here. This pandemic
- 13:39Speaker 1: is so clear that every homeless person I see outside
- 13:42Speaker 1: has a mask. You can't say that everybody doesn't know
- 13:46Speaker 1: the risk of getting COVID. It's everywhere they have. They
- 13:49Speaker 1: have fearmongered the living crap out of us, day after
- 13:52Speaker 1: day after day after day after day. There's no one
- 13:54Speaker 1: that doesn't understand the threat of COVID. Nineteen to them
- 13:58Speaker 1: and their family. Every Body I know now know someone
- 14:01Speaker 1: that's died of COVID. I don't know a single person
- 14:03Speaker 1: that doesn't know someone who's died of COVID. We are
- 14:06Speaker 1: almost died of COVID. Everybody knows what the risk is.
- 14:10Speaker 1: Everybody does. Folks, we all know it, we all understand it.
- 14:17Speaker 1: It's time to allow us to cide what is best
- 14:19Speaker 1: for us. But no, no, no, no. If you're a
- 14:21Speaker 1: liberal mayor, this is all about you gaining control, you
- 14:26Speaker 1: being able to dictate, you being able to decide what
- 14:29Speaker 1: people can and cannot do, because that's how you have power.
- 14:32Speaker 1: That's how you gain power. Take a listen to the
- 14:36Speaker 1: Austin mayor and this is one hundred percent political and
- 14:40Speaker 1: one hundred percent of power play. Acting like the governor
- 14:45Speaker 1: of Texas announcing us is some sort of murderer. Take
- 14:48Speaker 1: a listen. You know, wearing a face mask in public
- 14:51Speaker 1: clothes space the most effective thing you can do to
- 14:54Speaker 1: stop the spread of the virus absence of vaccine. It's
- 14:58Speaker 1: hard to find a medical profession that will tell you
- 15:01Speaker 1: anything else. We should be guided by the science and
- 15:04Speaker 1: the data. And this decision today is uh. It just
- 15:08Speaker 1: puts everything we have worked so hard to get at risk.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I think everybody here in in in Texas, in Austin,
- 15:17Speaker 1: it's just it's just dumbfounded. Did you know that this
- 15:21Speaker 1: was this announcement it was going to be made. Well,
- 15:24Speaker 1: the governor kind of hinted at it on Friday, the
- 15:28Speaker 1: county judge and I sent him a letter this morning
- 15:31Speaker 1: asking him not to do it. I know the mayor
- 15:34Speaker 1: of San Antonio and the judge did the same thing.
- 15:37Speaker 1: He was hearing from other cities. We were hoping that
- 15:40Speaker 1: it wouldn't happen today, but this is the Texas and
- 15:45Speaker 1: the partisan pressures. We could see. We're building up on him,
- 15:48Speaker 1: and it's real unfortunate that it's happened now. I mean,
- 15:51Speaker 1: I gotta ask you, you you know, is this related to
- 15:54Speaker 1: or a result of the criticism he received in response
- 15:58Speaker 1: to the you know, the recent storms, the widespread power
- 16:01Speaker 1: outages in Texas. You know, it's not based on the
- 16:04Speaker 1: science and data, so it's based on something else. And
- 16:07Speaker 1: it could be the criticism here associated with the power
- 16:11Speaker 1: going out. It could be the criticism he's getting from
- 16:15Speaker 1: from the really far right people in the state who
- 16:19Speaker 1: have been complaining about masking from the very beginning. But
- 16:24Speaker 1: it's not the science and the data. We know that
- 16:26Speaker 1: when we did this in Texas, City stepped out first,
- 16:29Speaker 1: the state came along later, the numbers started going down.
- 16:33Speaker 1: Every time we have opened up the economy too soon,
- 16:36Speaker 1: we've started to see a surge again, and that's the concern.
- 16:39Speaker 1: And especially here. You know, if you are under sixty
- 16:43Speaker 1: five and an a central worker, you're about to be
- 16:47Speaker 1: put into the position where you don't qualify for the vaccine,
- 16:51Speaker 1: you can't protect yourself, and now you're going to be
- 16:53Speaker 1: this frontline worker around people potentially that don't wear masks.
- 16:58Speaker 1: I can only hope that our community recognizes we still
- 17:01Speaker 1: have a choice. Regardless of what the governor did. We
- 17:04Speaker 1: can still choose in our city to act like we
- 17:08Speaker 1: do have a mask mandate for people to continue to
- 17:10Speaker 1: wear it, for businesses to continue to require it. And
- 17:14Speaker 1: that's what we're going to have to do. All right.
- 17:16Speaker 1: Let me just jump in here and notice the hypocrisy
- 17:19Speaker 1: of this mayor. No one said you don't have to
- 17:21Speaker 1: wear a mask. No one says that you don't have
- 17:23Speaker 1: socially distance. It's about freedom to decide and choose. What
- 17:28Speaker 1: he's talking about is mandates. He's not talking about freedoms,
- 17:31Speaker 1: and he says, every time we do this too soon.
- 17:33Speaker 1: What does too soon mean? It's been over a year, bro,
- 17:36Speaker 1: How long do you want to keep people locked up?
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's been over a year. It has been over a year.
- 17:45Speaker 1: The liberals that are against lifting these lockdowns are nothing
- 17:50Speaker 1: more than control freaks. They love having this amount of power.
- 17:56Speaker 1: They love having the ability to dictate to you what
- 17:58Speaker 1: is going to happen in your life, just like this,
- 18:03Speaker 1: Austin Mayor. He's out there getting the media to document
- 18:07Speaker 1: this moment so that if the numbers go up, they
- 18:09Speaker 1: can say, see, these evil Republicans let people die. They
- 18:13Speaker 1: force people to do things that we shouldn't have done.
- 18:17Speaker 1: The fact is, if someone wants to wear a mask
- 18:20Speaker 1: in Mississippi or Texas, they can wear a mask. If
- 18:23Speaker 1: someone wants to shut down their business, they can shut
- 18:25Speaker 1: down their business. If someone doesn't want to go to work,
- 18:27Speaker 1: they can quit their job. If a business wants to
- 18:30Speaker 1: have social distancing at extreme levels, or have three tables
- 18:34Speaker 1: and staid at thirty, they can do that. If you
- 18:36Speaker 1: want to cancel in dining, in room dining and just
- 18:40Speaker 1: do take out only as a business, owner. You can
- 18:42Speaker 1: do that. That's freedom, not dictate it. It goes against
- 18:47Speaker 1: the freedoms promise us in our constitution. And I tell you,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'll say this again. Please sit down your kids and
- 18:53Speaker 1: your grandkids and explain to them what freedom actually is.
- 18:56Speaker 1: Because the way we've been living for the last year
- 18:58Speaker 1: is not a free society. It is not freedom. And
- 19:02Speaker 1: I never want these kids to think that this is normal.
- 19:06Speaker 1: This is not normal. What these mayors and what these
- 19:10Speaker 1: governors that are liberals, with the Michigans and the New
- 19:13Speaker 1: York's and the Californias and the Austin Texas are doing
- 19:19Speaker 1: is they are taking away our freedoms, our freedoms that
- 19:23Speaker 1: were given that were promised to us in the United
- 19:25Speaker 1: States Constitution. They are continuing, through these policies to force
- 19:30Speaker 1: businesses to fail, forcing public schools and children to fall
- 19:35Speaker 1: behind and fail, forcing people to lose their livelihoods and
- 19:41Speaker 1: not be able to provide for their family. Look at this, governor,
- 19:47Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom, you know, a totally different state, decide to
- 19:52Speaker 1: do something different and that should be okay. And what
- 19:56Speaker 1: is Gavin Newsom, the guy who has destroyed his state?
- 19:59Speaker 1: What Aavin Newsom do? Gavin Newsom, who is who's going
- 20:04Speaker 1: to have a recall election, is so desperate to say
- 20:08Speaker 1: that he's somehow right, because he's better than you, that
- 20:11Speaker 1: he can dine in a restaurant where he banned in
- 20:13Speaker 1: person dining. Remember he got busted for doing that and
- 20:16Speaker 1: then got busted the other day doing it again. He
- 20:19Speaker 1: wants you to understand that, No, no, I've saved your
- 20:21Speaker 1: life because I've made you lose everything. The Associated Press
- 20:26Speaker 1: tweeted out this tweet breaking Texas is lifting its mass mandate,
- 20:31Speaker 1: making it the largest state to end an order intended
- 20:35Speaker 1: to prevent the spread of coronavirus. Governor Greg Abbott has
- 20:42Speaker 1: faced sharp criticism from his party over the mandate imposed
- 20:46Speaker 1: eight months ago. Gavin Newsom tweets out that headline, and
- 20:51Speaker 1: he writes, absolutely reckless. Yeah, absolutely reckless. Now let me
- 21:00Speaker 1: just remind you that this is the same man who
- 21:03Speaker 1: was just caught for a second time indoors at a
- 21:06Speaker 1: restaurant in a county where indoor dining is not allowed.
- 21:10Speaker 1: And if that's not enough, take a listen to Biden's
- 21:14Speaker 1: own timeline on when America quote might be able to
- 21:18Speaker 1: return to what he describes as so called normal. Take
- 21:22Speaker 1: a listen to this, the caution not to give an
- 21:27Speaker 1: answer to that because we don't know for sure. But
- 21:30Speaker 1: my hope is by this time next year we're going
- 21:33Speaker 1: to be back to normally. Before that my whole But
- 21:36Speaker 1: again it depends upon and people continue continue to be
- 21:41Speaker 1: smarter and understand that we still can have significant losses.
- 21:46Speaker 1: There's a lot we have to do yet, So thank you.
- 21:51Speaker 1: Next year, folks. Next year, let's just keep kicking the
- 21:54Speaker 1: can down the road and next year that'll fix everything. Right.
- 21:58Speaker 1: Next year, folks, Next year, it's all about next year.
- 22:03Speaker 1: What about the year after that, or the year after
- 22:05Speaker 1: that or the year after that. Well, let's go back
- 22:07Speaker 1: to the brilliant mayor of Austin who says you can't
- 22:13Speaker 1: do anything in his city without people dying because of it.
- 22:16Speaker 1: He says, quote, pausing will not make things better. Explain
- 22:20Speaker 1: to me how pausing where you are, pausing at the
- 22:26Speaker 1: status that has allowed cases to hit record levels in
- 22:29Speaker 1: the state will make things better. Pausing will not make
- 22:34Speaker 1: things better. The trajectory that we're on right now has
- 22:38Speaker 1: our hospital as being overwhelmed probably about mid July. So
- 22:42Speaker 1: the status quote, the path we're on right now is
- 22:46Speaker 1: the path that right now has us in danger. We
- 22:49Speaker 1: need to do something that's that's different than that. We
- 22:53Speaker 1: need our people in our community here to act differently.
- 22:59Speaker 1: The status quote will not protect us. What happened? I mean,
- 23:03Speaker 1: how did it get to this point in Texas? You know?
- 23:06Speaker 1: I think it was a combination of things. You know,
- 23:08Speaker 1: at one point back in April, we had really stomped
- 23:13Speaker 1: down on this virus, and we started opening up the economy.
- 23:16Speaker 1: And I think three things. First is we opened up
- 23:19Speaker 1: before we really had testing capacity and tracing in play. Second,
- 23:24Speaker 1: we opened up in phases, but we didn't open a
- 23:28Speaker 1: phase and then get the numbers, analyze it, and then
- 23:31Speaker 1: to see if we could go to the next phase.
- 23:33Speaker 1: We had one phase that came after another. The big thing, though,
- 23:37Speaker 1: I think is that the community, when you open up
- 23:40Speaker 1: an economy, has to couple that with religiously wearing face
- 23:45Speaker 1: masks and religiously maintaining social distancing. I'm sorry, I have
- 23:50Speaker 1: to now become religious. Well, I thought Democrats were not
- 23:54Speaker 1: in favor of forced religion. I thought I thought religion
- 23:56Speaker 1: was bad. Right. The mayor of Austins now tell me
- 23:59Speaker 1: I have too religious wear a mask for indefinitely I
- 24:02Speaker 1: have to religiously social distance religiously, folks. It's almost like
- 24:09Speaker 1: they don't want us to open up. It's almost like
- 24:11Speaker 1: they're gaining some sort of power by us struggling and suffering.
- 24:15Speaker 1: It's almost like Democrats are now at the point where
- 24:17Speaker 1: they're trying to do this on purpose. I wonder if
- 24:20Speaker 1: it's because Democrats love Americans being dependent on them for
- 24:23Speaker 1: their survival. Could it be? Could it be that Democrats
- 24:29Speaker 1: actually understand that they need high unemployment and they need
- 24:33Speaker 1: you dependent on them for your livelihood, for the food
- 24:36Speaker 1: on your table, for the check to come in the mail.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Could it be? Could it be that they understood something
- 24:43Speaker 1: more than what I realized When Jesse Jackson was referring
- 24:45Speaker 1: to Barack Obama as the food Stamp President, saying, it's
- 24:49Speaker 1: quote an honor to be a food stamp president. Let's
- 24:53Speaker 1: give him our love, Let's show them our appreciation, let's
- 24:56Speaker 1: clap for him. Remember that line. I wonder if the
- 24:59Speaker 1: reason why that line was so powerful is because Democrats
- 25:02Speaker 1: actually got it, and we were too stupid to understand
- 25:05Speaker 1: just how manipulative they really are. I missed it the
- 25:08Speaker 1: first time. I'm not gonna lie to you I thought
- 25:11Speaker 1: they were just idiots. They were brilliant. They understood something.
- 25:15Speaker 1: If you can get a lot of Americans to be
- 25:17Speaker 1: depending on you for their basic necessities like water, food,
- 25:22Speaker 1: a roof over their head, you can control everything they do.
- 25:27Speaker 1: You can control every aspect of their life. You can
- 25:30Speaker 1: control every single move they make. This is not about
- 25:36Speaker 1: what's best for you. This is about This is about
- 25:39Speaker 1: freedom or or excuse me, control your controlling your freedom,
- 25:45Speaker 1: controlling your future, controlling your own destiny. They're not willing
- 25:49Speaker 1: to give that up. It's too powerful for them. It
- 25:57Speaker 1: gives them too much power, which is exactly what they need.
- 26:00Speaker 1: They need a lot of power, they need a lot
- 26:02Speaker 1: of control. That is exactly what it is they need.
- 26:06Speaker 1: They need total control over your life and every aspect
- 26:10Speaker 1: of it so they can then continue to be the
- 26:13Speaker 1: center of the universe. That's what these lockdowns are all about.
- 26:19Speaker 1: And if you don't think the media is just obsessing
- 26:24Speaker 1: over this, if you don't think the media is obsessed
- 26:29Speaker 1: with destroying people's lives over this, you're not paying attention.
- 26:36Speaker 1: MSNBC to Biden's COVID advisor, this is what they had
- 26:40Speaker 1: to say that California lockdown, their numbers aren't that different
- 26:43Speaker 1: from Florida. Even they're having to admit some of the
- 26:46Speaker 1: facts now, even on MSNBC, they're having to admit that
- 26:51Speaker 1: these numbers just don't match up with what it is
- 26:54Speaker 1: they're actually trying to do and what they're actually trying
- 26:56Speaker 1: to accomplish. Take a listen to MSNBC to the Biden
- 26:59Speaker 1: covid advisor are saying, Hey, guys, Florida's open and it's
- 27:02Speaker 1: not much different than numbers from California. It's totally shut down.
- 27:05Speaker 1: Out of questions, I want to start with what we
- 27:07Speaker 1: just saw. Contrast states like Florida and California. California basically
- 27:13Speaker 1: in lockdown and their numbers aren't that different from Florida. Well,
- 27:18Speaker 1: good morning, Stephanie. Look, there's so much of this virus
- 27:23Speaker 1: that we think we understand that we think we can
- 27:25Speaker 1: predict that just beyond a little bit beyond our explanation.
- 27:28Speaker 1: What we do know is that the more careful people are,
- 27:31Speaker 1: the more they mask and social distance, and the quicker
- 27:33Speaker 1: we vaccinate, the quicker it goes away and the less
- 27:36Speaker 1: it spreads. But we have got to get better visibility
- 27:39Speaker 1: into variants. We don't know what role they play large events, etc.
- 27:44Speaker 1: But you know, this is as we all have learned
- 27:46Speaker 1: by this time, this is a virus that continues to
- 27:48Speaker 1: surprise us. It's very hard to predict. And you know,
- 27:52Speaker 1: all around the country, we've got to continue to do
- 27:54Speaker 1: a better job. And I think, yeah, let's just fear
- 27:56Speaker 1: among you a little bit more. But yes, I have
- 27:58Speaker 1: to admit that the numbers are basically the same. Yes,
- 28:00Speaker 1: one state's hope and the other state's closed. But we
- 28:03Speaker 1: but and I understand that, however, we still need to
- 28:05Speaker 1: fear monger the living hell out of you. Yeah, even children, now,
- 28:12Speaker 1: even children in California have had enough and are understanding
- 28:16Speaker 1: that these lockdowns are rediculous. They're now having protests high
- 28:22Speaker 1: school kids. High school kids in California. Agora high school
- 28:26Speaker 1: students have now put together a lockdown protest And this
- 28:31Speaker 1: is what some of the kids had to say for
- 28:35Speaker 1: things to go back to normal. And every week that
- 28:37Speaker 1: it didn't, I started to lose hope. We have miscountless
- 28:40Speaker 1: states of school, so many school events, rally's, games and dances.
- 28:44Speaker 1: I understand the risk of getting sick, and I've seen
- 28:46Speaker 1: the effects of this illness or some Why is it
- 28:49Speaker 1: that other schools, private schools down the street are open.
- 28:52Speaker 1: How come we are told our schools are ready to
- 28:54Speaker 1: have us back, but we aren't. This was supposed to
- 28:57Speaker 1: be our year, the year we attended every single school event,
- 29:01Speaker 1: knowing it was our last hurrah. This year. This was
- 29:04Speaker 1: the year that we taught college, made plans together, and
- 29:07Speaker 1: made sure to spend time together, knowing the end was near.
- 29:10Speaker 1: This was the year of the Class of twenty twenty one. Instead,
- 29:15Speaker 1: we did not get to player sports, to cheering our
- 29:17Speaker 1: friends at their sports, rage at our last homecoming, dress
- 29:21Speaker 1: up for Halloween show, our senior private pep rallies scream
- 29:24Speaker 1: the loudest in the student sections during our beloved friend
- 29:27Speaker 1: and nights. We did not get to celebrate each other's
- 29:29Speaker 1: eighteenth birthdays, exchange holiday gifts, and make memories that were
- 29:33Speaker 1: to last a lifetime. These children understand what I've been
- 29:36Speaker 1: saying all along. Why is it that right down the street,
- 29:39Speaker 1: the private schools they are They're having a great year.
- 29:42Speaker 1: They're getting to have their dances, they're going to have
- 29:44Speaker 1: their games, they're getting to see their friends, they're getting
- 29:46Speaker 1: to get an education. They're running far ahead of us
- 29:49Speaker 1: in life. Why are we losing the best years of
- 29:51Speaker 1: our lives. Let's talk about that as adults for just once.
- 29:56Speaker 1: When you go back and you look at life, what
- 29:58Speaker 1: are the best years and talk about just totally selfish years.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Don't don't and don't don't play the parent card. I'm
- 30:03Speaker 1: a parent too. I'm talking about the just free, young
- 30:08Speaker 1: adolescent high school and college years of life are what
- 30:11Speaker 1: you laugh and smile and joke about the most. These
- 30:15Speaker 1: years are being taken away from these kids. There are
- 30:18Speaker 1: years like that that will never happen again. Think about
- 30:20Speaker 1: all the students whose lives have been They've been doing
- 30:23Speaker 1: nothing with them. What are supposed to be the best
- 30:26Speaker 1: years have turned into the years of total silence for them.
- 30:31Speaker 1: They have not played the games, they have not gone
- 30:34Speaker 1: to proms, they have not had their graduations, they haven't
- 30:37Speaker 1: gotten to do even the basic things in life because
- 30:40Speaker 1: we've walked them down. And the kids are getting it now.
- 30:42Speaker 1: They're like, hold on a second, Why are you forcing
- 30:45Speaker 1: us to stay at home while everyone else is in
- 30:47Speaker 1: the private sector, in the private schools, are getting to
- 30:50Speaker 1: go do these things. Why are you not letting us
- 30:53Speaker 1: go back to normal life. It's because it's about power
- 30:56Speaker 1: and control. By Governor Newsom. Go back to his tweet
- 31:00Speaker 1: for a second. His tweet absolutely reckless in reference to
- 31:05Speaker 1: Texas lifting the mass mandate and mandate and making it
- 31:09Speaker 1: the largest state to end an order intended to prevent
- 31:12Speaker 1: the spread of coronavirus. As the Associated Press Biaslye puts
- 31:15Speaker 1: their non bias headline, this is the whole ballgame, folks.
- 31:23Speaker 1: It's either you pick freedom or you become a sheep.
- 31:26Speaker 1: And I'm tired of the sheep of this country and
- 31:28Speaker 1: I'm ready for freedom. I don't care about the critics
- 31:31Speaker 1: who fume after Biden or excuse me after Greg Abbott
- 31:34Speaker 1: in Texas ends a statewide mass mandate. Vote him out,
- 31:38Speaker 1: trended on Twitter afterwards. Fine, vote him out because many
- 31:41Speaker 1: are going to vote him back in. This is freedom.
- 31:46Speaker 1: His words simple. I just announced Texas one open everything,
- 31:51Speaker 1: I all send to the statewide mass mandate. The left
- 31:54Speaker 1: going nuts. Greg Abbott should be condemned for genocide. Vote
- 32:00Speaker 1: them out, That's what one person wrote. Intelligent Texans will
- 32:04Speaker 1: still wear a mask. That's for Governor Abbott. Vote him out.
- 32:07Speaker 1: He didn't say he wasn't going to wear a mask.
- 32:09Speaker 1: By the way, to stop wearing a mask. I'm still
- 32:12Speaker 1: going to wear a mask. Does that mean that I'm
- 32:14Speaker 1: a liberal? No, it just means you get to have
- 32:16Speaker 1: the freedom decide what's best for you. Another one writes, blank,
- 32:20Speaker 1: Greg Abbott, this is so stupid. Vote them out. No
- 32:22Speaker 1: one said you couldn't wear a mask your sheep Republican strategy.
- 32:28Speaker 1: Another one says they can't vote if I kill them first.
- 32:32Speaker 1: That was another one put online by a leftist crazy
- 32:36Speaker 1: What the blank? What the blank? That blinking freeze didn't
- 32:40Speaker 1: kill enough people for you? I hate it here, then move.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Another one wrote on Facebook, if you don't want to
- 32:45Speaker 1: live in the state of Texas, move go to California.
- 32:49Speaker 1: Please leave. What a blinking idiot? He says, this is
- 32:53Speaker 1: something to be proud of. Vote him out. Another person
- 32:56Speaker 1: that I love the name it says Mexican Vanilla. That's
- 32:59Speaker 1: actually who they are. I'm not kidding, I'm reading it
- 33:01Speaker 1: real is this is the criticism. Take the criticism, governors.
- 33:06Speaker 1: I got your back. I think there's millions and millions
- 33:09Speaker 1: and millions and millions and millions of Americans that have
- 33:12Speaker 1: had enough and they want to go back to having freedom.
- 33:15Speaker 1: They need to be able to take care of themselves.
- 33:18Speaker 1: They need to be able to protect their families. They
- 33:19Speaker 1: need to be able to provide for the families. They
- 33:21Speaker 1: need to be able to provide for the people that
- 33:22Speaker 1: come to work for them. This is a time where
- 33:25Speaker 1: you choose. Are you in favor of true freedom in
- 33:27Speaker 1: this country or you in favor of this socialism? I
- 33:32Speaker 1: choose freedom. Make sure you share this podcast please, as
