- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million bucks things in the stuffing through
- 0:20Speaker 1: good to mother, Stay, I don't join joint. Turn you
- 1:22Speaker 1: are you gotta turn to turn them out? Turn you
- 1:43Speaker 1: got to turn them out? Then turn the water the
- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your baby, I show whim
- 2:03Speaker 1: Come morning. Everybody you're listening to the voice, come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:11Speaker 1: radio show man, o man o man. How many times
- 2:15Speaker 1: I got to say that before I get tired of it.
- 2:19Speaker 1: I think it's gonna be a minute, folks. I gotta
- 2:21Speaker 1: be real with you, because, boy, that Steve Harvey got
- 2:24Speaker 1: a radio show man, clear indication of how God can
- 2:31Speaker 1: do some unexpected, wonderful things for you, how he leads
- 2:36Speaker 1: your life in directions that you never ever saw coming.
- 2:39Speaker 1: You know. I was talking with somebody the other day
- 2:41Speaker 1: and they were talking about how Man they were young
- 2:44Speaker 1: and they were doing things, and they never knew that
- 2:47Speaker 1: the things that they were doing as a youngster would
- 2:50Speaker 1: come and he helped form who they were today as
- 2:55Speaker 1: an adult. This guy's fifty years old and you know,
- 2:59Speaker 1: the same thing for you, if you look back on
- 3:01Speaker 1: your life and all of the things that you've done,
- 3:05Speaker 1: it helps shape you into who you are now. This
- 3:09Speaker 1: is provided now that you take the positive approach. Now,
- 3:13Speaker 1: when I say look back at your life and see
- 3:15Speaker 1: what you've done, that doesn't mean dwell on the misfortunate moments,
- 3:19Speaker 1: because the misfortunate moments were necessary. I know it. It's
- 3:23Speaker 1: hard to see that when it's happening to you, but
- 3:26Speaker 1: the unfortunate moments are necessary. You know, what really makes
- 3:31Speaker 1: you appreciate summer vacation is winter work. What really makes
- 3:36Speaker 1: you appreciate a walk on the beach, it's when it's cold,
- 3:39Speaker 1: it is raining outside. What really makes you appreciate when
- 3:44Speaker 1: you're up, it's because you've been down. See if you
- 3:48Speaker 1: are up all the time. Just the nature of us
- 3:52Speaker 1: as human beings, we would lose our appreciation for because
- 3:55Speaker 1: it becomes case urah, whatever it is, well, it is
- 3:59Speaker 1: what it is. I'm just what what what you take
- 4:02Speaker 1: it for? Granted, it becomes expected. But what happens in life, say,
- 4:05Speaker 1: is it has so many twisting turns, and then you
- 4:09Speaker 1: learn how to deal with those twisting turns, which makes
- 4:12Speaker 1: you now a more experienced person. And then when the
- 4:15Speaker 1: sunny days come, man, you go wild. It's really nice outside.
- 4:18Speaker 1: You really want to appreciate how warm weather. Just stay
- 4:21Speaker 1: in a bunch of cold weather all the time. I'm
- 4:24Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. I'm just this is really
- 4:25Speaker 1: really simple and now analogies, but it helps you along
- 4:29Speaker 1: the way. Now here's what I came to say today
- 4:33Speaker 1: to everybody out there. And this has helped me in
- 4:36Speaker 1: my life. I can't tell you what it's done for me,
- 4:40Speaker 1: but a lot of people are struggling with moving forward
- 4:45Speaker 1: with their future, their future plans, their future goals, their
- 4:50Speaker 1: future aspirations, their future hopes, their future dreams, just simply
- 4:56Speaker 1: that your future wants a lot of people trying to
- 4:59Speaker 1: have have a hard time mapping out their future. Even
- 5:03Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do, what I'm gonna be, what I'm
- 5:06Speaker 1: gonna make ham or go about it? What do I
- 5:09Speaker 1: do next? I want to share something with you that
- 5:12Speaker 1: I had to come to terms with the quickest way
- 5:15Speaker 1: to lose focus on your future is to keep focusing
- 5:20Speaker 1: on your past. You know, It's like I said at
- 5:23Speaker 1: the beginning. You know when I say it's wonderful to
- 5:26Speaker 1: look at your life and review it, because if you
- 5:29Speaker 1: look at it, it'll tell you. It really helps shape
- 5:33Speaker 1: inform you today as the person you are now if
- 5:37Speaker 1: you look at it in a positive sense. But if
- 5:39Speaker 1: you dwell in harp on the negative that's happened to you,
- 5:43Speaker 1: then that keeps you from seeing the good in the incident,
- 5:47Speaker 1: every bad thing that's happened to you, that was a
- 5:50Speaker 1: silver lining behind it. I know people who were on
- 5:53Speaker 1: drugs who finally, man just got sent to prison for
- 5:57Speaker 1: stealing because of their habit. I know cats so old dope. Well,
- 6:01Speaker 1: he went to prison. He told me one time, he said, Steve.
- 6:05Speaker 1: He said, man, this is the best thing ever happened
- 6:07Speaker 1: to me to save my life. Now, most people would think,
- 6:10Speaker 1: how in the world is going to prison helpful for you?
- 6:14Speaker 1: The brother said, it saved my life. First of all,
- 6:18Speaker 1: it got me clean. He said, I've been cleaned for
- 6:20Speaker 1: five years from sitting in here. That's for starters. I'm clean.
- 6:25Speaker 1: I ain't still in no more. I ain't putting myself
- 6:27Speaker 1: in jeopard and I ain't jeopardizing nobody else. He said. Now, man,
- 6:32Speaker 1: I don't went to college. I didn't got a college degree.
- 6:34Speaker 1: While I'm in him. Then he was released from prison,
- 6:38Speaker 1: and the brother's life was completely turned around. He married,
- 6:42Speaker 1: he got a family, he got a great job. He
- 6:45Speaker 1: go to work every day. He's a productive citizen. I mean.
- 6:49Speaker 1: So he looks back on his incarceration, even his drug abuse,
- 6:55Speaker 1: and it taught him how to appreciate the things in
- 6:58Speaker 1: life that he had taken for granted and was missing
- 7:01Speaker 1: because he said, man, my life was just in a blur.
- 7:04Speaker 1: I didn't even know what was going on. He said,
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now I appreciate every day I wake up. That's what
- 7:09Speaker 1: I mean. Even in your missteps in life, there is
- 7:13Speaker 1: a purpose for the missteps. Every time you fail, there
- 7:17Speaker 1: was a reason for the failure. See what I had
- 7:21Speaker 1: to do was I had to learn that all of
- 7:23Speaker 1: my failures taught me how to get back up. So
- 7:27Speaker 1: I became a very strong and tough person in getting
- 7:30Speaker 1: back up. And then I was down and out so
- 7:33Speaker 1: long that it taught me how to really appreciate the up.
- 7:37Speaker 1: And so I've taken all of that and used it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Those experiences that happened to me, and I became a
- 7:44Speaker 1: more experienced person. So next time when people talk about
- 7:48Speaker 1: me who don't know me, it don't shake me because
- 7:52Speaker 1: everybody's not gonna like you. Man, you might as well
- 7:54Speaker 1: gonna get on this train right now. And so what
- 7:57Speaker 1: I'm saying to you out there is the his way
- 8:00Speaker 1: to lose focus on your future is to keep focusing
- 8:03Speaker 1: on your path. Let it go. Yeah yeah, yeah, he left.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Sometimes the breakup is the blessing. I know it's hard
- 8:11Speaker 1: to break up because now you're loaning you by yourself.
- 8:13Speaker 1: But man, but when you're in misery, when you was
- 8:16Speaker 1: in that, weren't you in complete misery in that? Now
- 8:21Speaker 1: you kept asking God to fix it. But it takes
- 8:23Speaker 1: two people to fix a relationship. It don't just take one.
- 8:27Speaker 1: It takes two to make a thing go right. It
- 8:30Speaker 1: takes two to make it out of sight. You really
- 8:34Speaker 1: do have to have two people wanting a relationship to work.
- 8:37Speaker 1: It can't just be one person want a relationship, so
- 8:39Speaker 1: you can pray about the relationship all you want. If
- 8:42Speaker 1: the other person don't want you no more and ain't
- 8:45Speaker 1: gonna act right, you can't make him do that or
- 8:47Speaker 1: you can't make her do that. But you steady asking
- 8:51Speaker 1: God for a new relationship. But you are yet to
- 8:56Speaker 1: be grateful that you are in a position to have
- 8:59Speaker 1: a relationship ship, and you keep harping on the pass.
- 9:02Speaker 1: You don't think he hear that. I'm just a dude
- 9:04Speaker 1: with a show, and I hear it all the time.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Let it go go forward. It's over. You made it,
- 9:11Speaker 1: He bought you through it, you conquered, you survived it.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Why are you dwelling on it and making it the
- 9:19Speaker 1: cross around your neck when clearly he had removed it
- 9:23Speaker 1: for you. Now, all you got to do is come on.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So if you're sitting behind him walls, brothers and sisters,
- 9:29Speaker 1: I'm talking directly to you sometimes. Man, you just got
- 9:32Speaker 1: to get it right. All this repeat offender business, that's for?
- 9:36Speaker 1: Who is that for? How ignorant can you be to
- 9:40Speaker 1: keep giving your life back to the penal system? Be free, man,
- 9:44Speaker 1: walk the streets, do the right thing. Ask God to
- 9:46Speaker 1: help connect you. He could do anything. You think he
- 9:50Speaker 1: can't give you a job? Are you serious? Man? Put
- 9:53Speaker 1: some faith on it. Let's move forward, y'all. Let it go.
- 9:55Speaker 1: Let's move you're listening one two, one two three, folk,
- 10:05Speaker 1: Good morning, everybody. This is just Steve Harvey morning. Expecting
- 10:09Speaker 1: another zubering song to go against it. No, I just
- 10:14Speaker 1: tried to get your attention to had everybody, what do
- 10:16Speaker 1: you finish saying now? But I ain't want to say nothing.
- 10:19Speaker 1: I just wanted your undivided attention because what's about to
- 10:22Speaker 1: go down is about to go down, already popping hot
- 10:28Speaker 1: coming in hot retro, all that radio acting we're dangerous.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We're a nuclear plant with a crack in it. We

- 11:20Speaker 1: I still want Cray schedule. Let's do Friday like real Friday,
- 11:25Speaker 1: like like like Freedom Friday. Okay, no, you know you
- 11:28Speaker 1: don't tell me we Freedom Friday. We had, you know,
- 11:32Speaker 1: but that was the bumb Freedom Friday. The bottle was hot, man,
- 11:36Speaker 1: but you know it was you know, times change. You
- 11:40Speaker 1: know voice, whose voice you doing? You know that? You
- 11:48Speaker 1: know that ain't what they want the sister ozelf. Hey,
- 11:55Speaker 1: let me tell you, man, I want to say something.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I had a great, great, super great call with the
- 12:06Speaker 1: affiliates and Chicago headed it up. It was two hundred
- 12:10Speaker 1: people on the zoom cool. The host of it was
- 12:16Speaker 1: my very first radio co host, Jane Sparrow. Yes, my
- 12:24Speaker 1: damn dog that came in and did sports and everything
- 12:28Speaker 1: in news. Damn Joe Solo Soto and man, I did
- 12:34Speaker 1: this phone call with v one on three up in Chicago,
- 12:38Speaker 1: and man, it bought back so many memories. Man, They
- 12:44Speaker 1: told God, yeah, because radio is Chicago still a huge
- 12:51Speaker 1: radio city. That's what made me want to get into radio.
- 12:57Speaker 1: They talked, They talked about you too. They said you
- 12:59Speaker 1: was adah. Yeah, you know, but how many affiliates are
- 13:04Speaker 1: how many affiliates? I don't know how many? There's two
- 13:08Speaker 1: people on the call, wow, and I'm just a great
- 13:12Speaker 1: phone called reminisce went down and you know, answering some
- 13:14Speaker 1: questions and had a great time on the phone call.
- 13:17Speaker 1: What did you say, y'all don't need to know that
- 13:20Speaker 1: because it was crazy. Did you cuss? Did you saying
- 13:23Speaker 1: we weren't on the ass? So yeah, then there's that
- 13:28Speaker 1: we won't talk about a cuss? What? What? What? What
- 13:31Speaker 1: was we talking for? All right, listen, we gotta get
- 13:34Speaker 1: out of here because we have to make room for
- 13:36Speaker 1: the cello Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey coming up at
- 13:39Speaker 1: thirty two minutes after the hour, right after this. You're
- 13:43Speaker 1: listening Steve Morning Show time. Now, guys were asked the clo,
- 13:48Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer, the close Steve Harvey. Uh, listen,
- 13:53Speaker 1: we gotta get started. This one is from Anne in
- 13:56Speaker 1: Atlantic City and says, my husband and I are retired
- 13:59Speaker 1: and we said old in a community of seniors sixty
- 14:03Speaker 1: five and up. There aren't many other couples in the building.
- 14:06Speaker 1: It's mostly widows, and we are active in game night
- 14:09Speaker 1: and movie night, and I'm getting sick of the women
- 14:13Speaker 1: engaging my husband in conversation like I'm not sitting there.
- 14:17Speaker 1: I've talked to him about it, and he promised to
- 14:19Speaker 1: stop talking to these women. He did for a while,
- 14:23Speaker 1: but the women are very forward. Should I have a
- 14:25Speaker 1: talk with these women and tell them to keep away
- 14:28Speaker 1: from my man? Well, I don't know how this works.
- 14:32Speaker 1: As senior citizens homes, I haven't been in one, but
- 14:36Speaker 1: don't mess around and get ganged up on. But you
- 14:42Speaker 1: know you're running up on these women, you know, I
- 14:45Speaker 1: mean they just they just talking, you know, right, and
- 14:52Speaker 1: they and the talking they friendly. You know she doesn't
- 14:56Speaker 1: like it? Well, hey, are you moving the fault? All
- 15:02Speaker 1: the women in there? You that's you bring a pork
- 15:04Speaker 1: chop to the back of the bulldog truck. How do
- 15:07Speaker 1: you think that's gonna work? But now your man, he
- 15:12Speaker 1: tried to stop talking to him, but they keep talking
- 15:14Speaker 1: to him. He can't be rude. Nobody wants to live
- 15:17Speaker 1: in a neighborhood or community and be rude to people.
- 15:20Speaker 1: So what should she do? I don't know what to do. Hell,
- 15:24Speaker 1: you know you're jealous. I don't know what to do. Llo. No,
- 15:32Speaker 1: the dude are doing nothing wrong. The man ain't doing
- 15:35Speaker 1: nothing wrong. You can't stop all the women from talking
- 15:38Speaker 1: to your husband. Y'all active in game night? Quick? Going
- 15:42Speaker 1: to game night? Do well? Then when you go out
- 15:47Speaker 1: there in public and you got the only piece of
- 15:51Speaker 1: raw meat on the back of the bulldog truck, what
- 15:54Speaker 1: you think gonna have them have game night in your room? Now?
- 16:00Speaker 1: You got to find another man that's seemed good enough
- 16:03Speaker 1: shape to play game night. Because women do better when
- 16:06Speaker 1: they aid men fall apart. She says it's mostly widows
- 16:10Speaker 1: there though. Yes, that's cause well they don't really feel apart. Yes,
- 16:15Speaker 1: all right, Leela and Tallahassee says, I'm a forty four
- 16:18Speaker 1: year old married woman and I've been having an affair
- 16:21Speaker 1: with my husband's twenty nine year old barber. I met
- 16:24Speaker 1: him at the gym and didn't know he's my husband's
- 16:26Speaker 1: barber at first. When I found out, I tried to
- 16:29Speaker 1: end the affair, but he said he dropped my husband
- 16:31Speaker 1: as a client so I wouldn't feel guilty. I could
- 16:35Speaker 1: not let him do that because it took my husband
- 16:38Speaker 1: a while to get a great barber. He is ready
- 16:40Speaker 1: to end a business relationship over me, and I'm flattered,
- 16:44Speaker 1: but not interested. How do I tell them it's How
- 16:47Speaker 1: do I tell him it's not that serious? No, wait
- 16:50Speaker 1: a minute, you don't understand. Do you understand the proposal
- 16:53Speaker 1: he's making to you. He's saying he would drop him
- 16:56Speaker 1: as a customer so he can keep kicking it with you. Yea,
- 17:01Speaker 1: he's not offering you know out, because if he wanted
- 17:05Speaker 1: to offer you out here, just let you out and
- 17:07Speaker 1: keep taking your husband's money. What he's offering you is
- 17:11Speaker 1: an opportunity for him to continue seeing you. Yeah, by
- 17:16Speaker 1: dropping your husband as a client. Well, she said, she's flattered, Steve,
- 17:20Speaker 1: but yeah, but I don't want to do that because
- 17:22Speaker 1: it took him a long time to get a barber.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Then you ain't serious about none of this. She ain't
- 17:27Speaker 1: been worried about and she ain't gonna stop seeing the
- 17:32Speaker 1: dude either. Did you hear that? Adn't let anywhere? How
- 17:36Speaker 1: do I stop seeing him? No? How do you stop
- 17:40Speaker 1: him from dropping her husband as a client, because it
- 17:44Speaker 1: ain't that serious. Were just kicking it. Well, see you
- 17:47Speaker 1: for the fold. You think you know everything? Let your
- 17:51Speaker 1: husband keep going in there. I'm telling you it's gonna leak.
- 17:54Speaker 1: They're gonna be in the barber's shop talking or you
- 17:57Speaker 1: know that fine thing you met down in that jim
- 18:00Speaker 1: of the old thing at Cougar or one of them
- 18:02Speaker 1: Bob is gonna say that, somebody say, and then he
- 18:05Speaker 1: gonna be looking upside their head. But they're gonna be
- 18:07Speaker 1: cutting the half so they ain't gonna see him looking
- 18:09Speaker 1: upside the ag. Yeah, you know the one, the one
- 18:12Speaker 1: you got to picture with that with that leopard, Leatar said,
- 18:14Speaker 1: on not the leopard, because you know, old people wear
- 18:21Speaker 1: animal prints to the gym, you know, is that a thing? Yeah?
- 18:27Speaker 1: Old people cougar want to look like a cougar. Old
- 18:32Speaker 1: women love animal prints or animal prison and lit them
- 18:39Speaker 1: all right, Moving on, This one is from Tony and
- 18:42Speaker 1: Philly says, I'm twenty nine and my girlfriend is twenty seven.
- 18:46Speaker 1: We party together and get drunk together. Almost always. She
- 18:50Speaker 1: wets my bed if she's had too much to drink.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It's to the point where she jokes about it and
- 18:54Speaker 1: gets towels and puts under herself before she passes out.
- 18:58Speaker 1: She said she dreams about going to the bathroom, but
- 19:01Speaker 1: her mind and body don't match up when she's drunk.
- 19:05Speaker 1: Is this a medical condition? Or should I blame it
- 19:07Speaker 1: on the alcohol? Nothing came up on Google? Wait, do
- 19:11Speaker 1: you the last line? Nothing nothing came up on Google?
- 19:15Speaker 1: Or well, you don't need Google for this. That's how
- 19:17Speaker 1: little boys while we pee in the bed longer than
- 19:20Speaker 1: girl because we had a pee dream. Yeah, you're outside
- 19:25Speaker 1: peeing and you just next thing. You know, you didn't
- 19:30Speaker 1: wet the bed. If your grown ass is wetting a
- 19:34Speaker 1: damn bed and you putting towels in the bed, your
- 19:39Speaker 1: ass is trifling. Serious and you really need to stop drinking.
- 19:47Speaker 1: If you so drunk you can't control your damn bladder. Well,
- 19:50Speaker 1: you got to put towels in the bed. I wish
- 19:53Speaker 1: I would be laying up next to some woman and
- 19:55Speaker 1: she pee on me? What are we? What you're doing
- 19:58Speaker 1: in here? You're not gonna be on me? No, man,
- 20:01Speaker 1: you've lost all your sexuness with me, right right, So
- 20:05Speaker 1: we're in here drinking. You in here all of a sudden,
- 20:07Speaker 1: my bed warm. I'm here, and it don't stay warm long.
- 20:11Speaker 1: We're not joking. This is not a joke, all right.
- 20:15Speaker 1: So I cain't in control when I said when I
- 20:18Speaker 1: get drunk, Well, it's gonna be by your damn self,
- 20:21Speaker 1: because I'm not sleeping with no seven year old bed
- 20:25Speaker 1: with her. That ain't yeah, yeah, not. So what we
- 20:33Speaker 1: leaves you don't have to put up with that. Man,
- 20:35Speaker 1: I wish you don't. You find somebody, don't drink that
- 20:38Speaker 1: heavy medical condition. All right, Well, thank you, cello, thank you,
- 20:43Speaker 1: thank you, thank you. Coming up next, run that prank

- 22:16Speaker 1: is is we take your wife for a couple of
- 22:17Speaker 1: weeks and we reprogram them so that it's of course
- 22:21Speaker 1: you have to sign a waiver contract. But we take
- 22:23Speaker 1: your wife and we reprogram them so that they will
- 22:25Speaker 1: act in a fashion of what you want them to act. Oh, okay, okay, whatever,
- 22:32Speaker 1: c sir. What it is that we've gotten some We've
- 22:33Speaker 1: gotten some reports that you've been having some problems with
- 22:37Speaker 1: with your particular wife. And we're here in Saint Louis, sir. Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 1: and don't worry. We're totally confidential. This is not anything
- 22:47Speaker 1: that's going to get out. Um, and and your your
- 22:50Speaker 1: names are never submitted. First of all, here's here's something
- 22:53Speaker 1: we can do. I can ask you questions because we've
- 22:55Speaker 1: been notified that this is probably a service that you
- 22:57Speaker 1: would probably want. Now, Um, has your wife ever snapped
- 23:01Speaker 1: on you in public? And snapped on me? I mean
- 23:05Speaker 1: what I mean? She my wife ain't crazy. She don't
- 23:08Speaker 1: just snap on me. She might, you know, try to
- 23:10Speaker 1: check me or say something. You know what I'm saying.
- 23:12Speaker 1: She's just gonna snap on me in pub So your wife,
- 23:15Speaker 1: So your wife has tried to check you, It's what
- 23:17Speaker 1: you're saying. May not check me per se. I mean
- 23:19Speaker 1: she might she might not like some mom doing and
- 23:22Speaker 1: might say something about it. But don't just snap on.
- 23:24Speaker 1: So basically your wife is not in her place where
- 23:27Speaker 1: she needs to be hold on. I mean what you
- 23:29Speaker 1: mean in play? I mean she might say something, you know.
- 23:32Speaker 1: I mean I might be doing something, or you know,
- 23:34Speaker 1: might be with my boys and might get out of
- 23:36Speaker 1: control a little bit. She might just say something at
- 23:38Speaker 1: the time, but she don't just try to all out
- 23:40Speaker 1: check nobody. You know what I'm saying. Okay, okay, okay,
- 23:42Speaker 1: I'll tell you what. Let me ask you this one.
- 23:44Speaker 1: Have you ever just had some plans with your guys
- 23:46Speaker 1: We're gonna go out, and had to change your plans
- 23:48Speaker 1: because um your wife. Well, I mean if if like
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm just come about hanging out and I ain't let
- 23:55Speaker 1: her know something, she might you know, be like, well,
- 23:57Speaker 1: baby already had plans, you know, can't you stay home
- 23:59Speaker 1: with the boy boys or something? But I mean, I
- 24:02Speaker 1: mean nothing on the regular, you know how I usually
- 24:03Speaker 1: do what I want to do. Seems like denial. Okay,
- 24:06Speaker 1: here's another one, sir, Well, no listen, hear me out. Now,
- 24:10Speaker 1: let me ask you this um has your wife. Let's say,
- 24:13Speaker 1: back when Michael Jordan was playing basketball, did you ever
- 24:16Speaker 1: miss a playoff game on television because your wife wanted
- 24:19Speaker 1: to watch something else. I mean, we got two TVs
- 24:22Speaker 1: in my house, man, I wish now, I don't even
- 24:25Speaker 1: get down. I mean I might have to watch the
- 24:26Speaker 1: little TV, okay, but I mean I usually watch it
- 24:29Speaker 1: on the vis Yeah, but but you doing You've been
- 24:33Speaker 1: pushed to watching the smaller television. Now, I wouldn't push
- 24:36Speaker 1: to do nothing. Man. What I'm trying to tell you is,
- 24:38Speaker 1: I mean we compromise. We do fifty fifty in my house.
- 24:40Speaker 1: I mean she might get the big TV to watch
- 24:42Speaker 1: her stories or something, and I just had to go
- 24:44Speaker 1: watch the little TV. Lettle TV do go out of
- 24:47Speaker 1: here wants to see We got so cool with that though.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I'm cool with that. You're cool with that. So you're
- 24:53Speaker 1: with that. You're actually the one that's programmed. And ain't
- 24:56Speaker 1: nothing wrong with my wife? Ain't nothing wrong with within
- 24:58Speaker 1: my family? You know what I I honderstand? Well, let
- 25:00Speaker 1: me the reason why I'm asking you these particular questions
- 25:03Speaker 1: is because someone has actually let me know the problems
- 25:07Speaker 1: that are at hand in your household. Let me ask you.
- 25:09Speaker 1: I got one question for you. Here's what I want
- 25:11Speaker 1: to ask you. Has your wife ever cussed you out
- 25:14Speaker 1: at a family cookout. Hey, man, hold on, man, you
- 25:16Speaker 1: know what you're getting a little personal? Man? Is this

- 25:25Speaker 1: of this company. Man, I've never heard. This is something new,
- 25:29Speaker 1: is definitely something new. I mean what, don't make me
- 25:31Speaker 1: be your guinea pig. Don't don't start out calling me
- 25:34Speaker 1: trying to get you know, referrals or clientele or whatever
- 25:37Speaker 1: it is you trying to do. Man, don't call me
- 25:39Speaker 1: with this nonsense. Partner, and I completely understand it. WCS sir,
- 25:44Speaker 1: is here to benefit you, benefit to me? Man, getting
- 25:48Speaker 1: look at my personal business one and what's going on
- 25:50Speaker 1: in mind? As old? Okay, Well, last thing I want
- 25:53Speaker 1: to ask you, and this is the last question I
- 25:55Speaker 1: have for you. I want straight up. Okay, have you

- 26:48Speaker 1: what I'm saying, you're calling my house, I'm minding my home.

- 28:57Speaker 1: Correctional Services byte A nephew. All right, thank you, nephew.
- 29:03Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour. We'll have
- 29:04Speaker 1: some entertainment and national news for you. Right after this,
- 29:08Speaker 1: you're listening to the Stave Morning Show and today's entertainment news. Came,
- 29:15Speaker 1: Michelle responded to her Instagram live video where you can
- 29:19Speaker 1: see her booty actually drop or deflate or something. Since then, Came,
- 29:23Speaker 1: Michelle has been posting a series of tweets offering up
- 29:26Speaker 1: some real talk on the situation. She says, so the
- 29:30Speaker 1: video of me dancing is sad that I even have
- 29:33Speaker 1: to explain. I walked you all through how difficult this
- 29:36Speaker 1: process of removing silicone from my body for three years
- 29:39Speaker 1: slash sixteen surgeries. Did we not forget? I almost died
- 29:44Speaker 1: due to this. Now I'm in the process of three
- 29:48Speaker 1: reconstruction steps. What you saw in the video was a
- 29:51Speaker 1: happy woman with my extra fat. I've been very open
- 29:56Speaker 1: so I can heal ladies. I didn't have to tell
- 29:59Speaker 1: any anybody, and I could have covered up until the
- 30:02Speaker 1: process was done, but no, ladies need to see and
- 30:06Speaker 1: hear the truth. I decided to use my platform to help.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I'm not going to hide nothing in my house. I
- 30:13Speaker 1: don't think people truly understand. I'm just happy to be alive.
- 30:17Speaker 1: I've come so far with this and I'm proud of myself.
- 30:22Speaker 1: Can I ask, can you get your old ass back?
- 30:29Speaker 1: What do you mean you should have prefaced that way?
- 30:31Speaker 1: I stupid question. I mean to ask you used to have?
- 30:39Speaker 1: Can you get that back? Is that possible to get
- 30:44Speaker 1: that back? Regardless of what you've added to it? Can
- 30:48Speaker 1: you lose all the addages and get what you start?
- 30:50Speaker 1: Think that's done? Yeah, it's to the bodies that messes
- 30:55Speaker 1: up the muscle and everything that they put it behind
- 30:59Speaker 1: or in front of. So and did you not hear
- 31:01Speaker 1: the part when I said sixteen surgeries? Did you not
- 31:05Speaker 1: hear that part? I got it. I got And you
- 31:07Speaker 1: ask him to hold on to the old ass because
- 31:10Speaker 1: I just see how this sports out. I hate both
- 31:13Speaker 1: right now. I mean it's bad booty, sir. It's just
- 31:19Speaker 1: it's just bad booty, you know. Also offers an update
- 31:27Speaker 1: on where she is in this process. She says, as
- 31:30Speaker 1: far as my surgeries. I have one left in parentheses,
- 31:33Speaker 1: I hope, but the skin removal is next week, so
- 31:38Speaker 1: I'm focused on that. She went on to say, where
- 31:40Speaker 1: I am now, you wouldn't hate so hard. And I'm
- 31:45Speaker 1: sure that's real for her because sixteen surgeries and she's
- 31:48Speaker 1: been going through this for three years, Steve. Yeah, and
- 31:51Speaker 1: you know, and she's trying to get people to understand
- 31:53Speaker 1: the dangers of it. Yes, I mean that, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 1: because it's all out there, yes, happening. Because I had
- 32:01Speaker 1: her on my talk show and she talked about it extensively.
- 32:06Speaker 1: She was very sick and even before she came out,
- 32:09Speaker 1: we almost weren't able to take the show because she
- 32:12Speaker 1: was sick. Backstage, Wow, she was really sick. But she said,
- 32:15Speaker 1: I wanted to come out here and just tell people
- 32:17Speaker 1: what it is. You know, she's a beautiful woman, She's beautiful. Yeah.
- 32:22Speaker 1: I can't imagine sixteen surgeries over a period of three
- 32:28Speaker 1: years and she's still not done. She's still not done.
- 32:32Speaker 1: You know, this is a you know, really something that
- 32:35Speaker 1: she's going through, and you know, I mean it is
- 32:38Speaker 1: something that she's taking us with her on this journey.
- 32:42Speaker 1: You know, so maybe other people won't get caught in
- 32:44Speaker 1: a situation like this, but you know, because I'm getting
- 32:47Speaker 1: to dating no matter which one. Yeah, so yeah, we
- 32:53Speaker 1: wish her all the best and look forward to her
- 32:55Speaker 1: country music. But it is the goal to get our
- 32:58Speaker 1: old ass back. I'm just we just said that now
- 33:02Speaker 1: to answer your question, are you she just wants to
- 33:05Speaker 1: be help? No? All right, so we're moving on. Okay,
- 33:14Speaker 1: We're moving on. And other entertainment news. Bruce Springsteen pleaded
- 33:18Speaker 1: guilty yesterday morning in a virtual hearing in Newark, New Jersey,
- 33:22Speaker 1: to consuming alcohol in a closed area, while the charges
- 33:26Speaker 1: of d WI and reckless driving were dismissed. This all
- 33:30Speaker 1: stems from an arrest last November in the Gateway National
- 33:33Speaker 1: Recreation Area in Sandy Hook, New Jersey, and which Bruce
- 33:37Speaker 1: was offered and accepted shots of tequila from fans who
- 33:41Speaker 1: recognized him on his motorcycle in the park. Now, after
- 33:45Speaker 1: the hearing, Springsteen's Yeah, Springsteen's attorney said, mister Springsteen is
- 33:51Speaker 1: pleased with the outcome of today's court appearance. The prosecutor
- 33:55Speaker 1: was unable to provide the necessary evidence and facts as
- 33:59Speaker 1: it related it to the charge of driving under the
- 34:02Speaker 1: influence and reckless driving, and therefore dismissed both of those charges.
- 34:08Speaker 1: Mister Springsteen, who has no previous criminal record of any kind, volunteered,
- 34:13Speaker 1: voluntarily played guilty, and agreed to wave fine of five Holo, stop,
- 34:24Speaker 1: let me explain something to you. You don't voluntarily plead
- 34:28Speaker 1: guilty without a plead deal and then very happy with
- 34:33Speaker 1: the outcome. You played guilty when you know what the
- 34:37Speaker 1: outcome gonna be. How to hell do you plead guilty?
- 34:42Speaker 1: And then the prosecutors say, we didn't have enough to
- 34:45Speaker 1: prove no damn sense. They didn't have enough to prove
- 34:49Speaker 1: that he was driving under influence. He played guilty to
- 34:52Speaker 1: taking the shots and having the alcohol in the open
- 34:56Speaker 1: container because he took that from the fans in the park.
- 35:00Speaker 1: That's what he played guilty. Okay, now let me tell
- 35:02Speaker 1: you something. But check this out. That's a deal that
- 35:06Speaker 1: was cut. I hear what you're saying. If you plead
- 35:10Speaker 1: guilty to this, we'll just dropped him. Mother charging you
- 35:13Speaker 1: a better believe his lawyer had that conversation with them.
- 35:15Speaker 1: People believe, yeah, absolutely, and how that Yeah, you know,
- 35:20Speaker 1: I mean, I like Bruce freed Steve and then he
- 35:23Speaker 1: got criminal record and all like that. But let me
- 35:26Speaker 1: just say this to black people, don't try this him.
- 35:30Speaker 1: You're not don't tell you're going to go in and
- 35:34Speaker 1: had a conversation. Don't take no shots on no damn motorcycling.
- 35:38Speaker 1: Think Yo asks fitting to pay five hundred dollars. You're
- 35:42Speaker 1: gonna get five. But it's gonna be with something. It's
- 35:44Speaker 1: gonna be years, be some repercussion. All right, coming up
- 35:49Speaker 1: in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll look into the
- 35:52Speaker 1: mind of Janathony Brown. Right after this you're listening show,
- 35:58Speaker 1: Steve introduced him, Ladies and gentlemen, the twisted, the minted mind.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Oh Jay Anthony Brown, brilliant, brilliant. Okay, we only have
- 36:11Speaker 1: a I think a few more days left for Black
- 36:14Speaker 1: History Month, is that right? Yeah? Yeah, So what I'd
- 36:18Speaker 1: like to read. I found this. It's a letter from
- 36:22Speaker 1: a runaway slave or a freedman. I would like to
- 36:25Speaker 1: read this. Hit it Crystal book, god lyon King. If
- 36:49Speaker 1: you got this letter, I made it. Now. If the
- 36:51Speaker 1: person who opens this letter can't read, give it to
- 36:55Speaker 1: someone who can. First of all, I told y'all to come,
- 36:59Speaker 1: but no y'all wanted to stay. Trust me. It wasn't easy,
- 37:05Speaker 1: but it is such a good feeling to wake up
- 37:07Speaker 1: in the morning and not have to pick a damn thing.
- 37:10Speaker 1: Weren't easy getting up here. Missus Tubman don't play. She
- 37:14Speaker 1: don't play at all. She had to pull a gun
- 37:17Speaker 1: out on John Henry and pistol whip him when he
- 37:19Speaker 1: started to cry, saying he wanted to go back after
- 37:22Speaker 1: the swelling with down, he changed his mind. She passed
- 37:28Speaker 1: out a couple of times, but when she came to,
- 37:31Speaker 1: she made up for it. Just in case she comes
- 37:34Speaker 1: back for some of y'all on a second run. Do
- 37:37Speaker 1: not use the phrase please please, do not use a
- 37:41Speaker 1: phrase when we gonna get there. That seems to upset
- 37:46Speaker 1: her a lot. When we're gonna get there. One thing
- 37:53Speaker 1: I found out about running away the female slaves are
- 37:57Speaker 1: real friendly at night when it is cold. Yes they are.
- 38:03Speaker 1: Upon my arrival, I met some uppery blacks. Acted like
- 38:06Speaker 1: they had never picked cotton. Hear y'all so up. They
- 38:10Speaker 1: ain't been free but twelve minutes. I said, sp that's
- 38:15Speaker 1: short for slave. Please, I get a feeling slave please.
- 38:19Speaker 1: It's gonna change one day. I don't know what to
- 38:22Speaker 1: I also met. I also met fregless Douglas I don't
- 38:28Speaker 1: know what's up with his hair either. He dating a
- 38:31Speaker 1: white woman. He introduced me to her sister. Yes, I
- 38:36Speaker 1: have crossed over. Well, so much for talking to y'all.
- 38:39Speaker 1: I holl at y'all later. Ps, that's what you put
- 38:42Speaker 1: at the end of a letter when you have more
- 38:43Speaker 1: to say. Give my shoes to the Williams brothers since
- 38:46Speaker 1: they both have one foot y'all later just come and
- 38:53Speaker 1: asked me if I wanted to come back for a
- 38:55Speaker 1: second run. I said, hell no, heavy Black history mom, everybody.
- 39:08Speaker 1: After the hour, as we move on, we're going to
- 39:12Speaker 1: pose the question are you doing what you thought you'd
- 39:15Speaker 1: be doing when you're in elementary school? We'll ask you
- 39:18Speaker 1: that and talk about it right after this. You're listening
- 39:21Speaker 1: to show, all right. We saw this on Facebook, guys,
- 39:27Speaker 1: a guy named T posted when he was in elementary school. Um,
- 39:32Speaker 1: he thought he'd be a professional athlete by the time
- 39:35Speaker 1: he made it to high school. He thought he'd own
- 39:37Speaker 1: a barbershop. So, guys, I got to ask you, what
- 39:40Speaker 1: profession did you like obsess about when you're in elementary
- 39:44Speaker 1: or grade school? Or are you in the field you
- 39:47Speaker 1: thought you'd be in when you were say eight, years old,
- 39:51Speaker 1: and we'll start there and then I'll ask you what
- 39:54Speaker 1: advice do you have for kids today choosing a career
- 39:57Speaker 1: pursuing their dreams? Jay Oh, I wanted to be a
- 40:03Speaker 1: tailor and at an early age, but I had a
- 40:06Speaker 1: counselor tell me, and I'm glad I didn't pay attention
- 40:09Speaker 1: to hood dumb ass. She told me, no, she did.
- 40:14Speaker 1: She told me that you couldn't take so on because
- 40:16Speaker 1: I want to be a tailor. She said, we couldn't
- 40:18Speaker 1: take so on because we don't have any boys sowing machine.
- 40:22Speaker 1: We don'tly have girls sawing machines. So when I first
- 40:26Speaker 1: my first sawing machines, I went to the store and
- 40:29Speaker 1: asked for a boy shine and the man laughed at me.
- 40:33Speaker 1: He's like, some it knows this thing as a boy
- 40:35Speaker 1: swing machine. It's just suing machine. So yeah, I think
- 40:39Speaker 1: I did some of the stuff I wanted to do.
- 40:40Speaker 1: But then teachers were telling you you grew up and
- 40:43Speaker 1: you don't pay attention, you're gonna be a garbage man
- 40:45Speaker 1: and gobbing men make fitty dollars our. I'm like, I
- 40:49Speaker 1: shouldn't have listened to that too, So what about you?
- 40:55Speaker 1: Tun here? Football years all wanted to be Tone Door
- 41:00Speaker 1: Set thirty three. Lived in Dallas at that time. Man,
- 41:03Speaker 1: I really want to be twenty. I wanted to run
- 41:05Speaker 1: out of bouse, keep my outfit clean. I just wanted
- 41:07Speaker 1: to be Ted. That was my hero at the time.
- 41:09Speaker 1: Eight years old. Okay, okay, nephew, I wanted to dunk
- 41:15Speaker 1: on everybody. You know what I mean? But greet, I
- 41:20Speaker 1: wanted to three sixty. I wanted to did. I wanted
- 41:28Speaker 1: to dunk on everybody in the gym. Just when I
- 41:33Speaker 1: come in, everybody just move by the way. Here comes
- 41:37Speaker 1: the time, you know, and come in and just dunk
- 41:41Speaker 1: on everybody. Jay, leave your camera right there, don't touch nothing.
- 41:48Speaker 1: I only got your ass on the zoom hurt, all right. See,
- 41:55Speaker 1: your nephew wanted to dunk on everyone. Uh, what did
- 41:59Speaker 1: you think you'd be doing when you were in elementary school?
- 42:01Speaker 1: If his ass could have just climbed up on the
- 42:04Speaker 1: porch banisters, I would have been happy. What did you
- 42:10Speaker 1: want to pick you up? I mean at eight, I
- 42:12Speaker 1: didn't nothing. At eight. At ten, I wrote on a
- 42:17Speaker 1: piece of paper that I wanted to be on TV.
- 42:19Speaker 1: I really did. That was all I wanted. I had
- 42:22Speaker 1: no idea how to do it. I wasn't convinced that
- 42:25Speaker 1: I would be on TV, but that's what I wanted,
- 42:28Speaker 1: and I got no encouragement at all in that direction.
- 42:33Speaker 1: They shot stupid, stuttering ass. Thank you Finn to be
- 42:39Speaker 1: on TV. Ain't nobody got all day weight on you
- 42:41Speaker 1: to say nothing or show thirty minutes? Oh wow, wow,
- 42:47Speaker 1: little your little talk on volcanoes was forty five minutes
- 42:50Speaker 1: and it was supposed to have been five. I picked
- 42:53Speaker 1: the worst. You know, we had the signs, we had
- 42:56Speaker 1: to do a speech and everybody had to draw thee
- 43:00Speaker 1: ub you out. I stutter, and the subject I pick
- 43:03Speaker 1: was volcano. The last word you can give to a
- 43:06Speaker 1: little boy that can't that has a stutter is a
- 43:09Speaker 1: word that start with a V. That you really that's
- 43:13Speaker 1: a that's a you can't do V oh god, V
- 43:19Speaker 1: st pr them too, sad and Q you can forget q.
- 43:24Speaker 1: Q you you can forget quack. Oh. They were very
- 43:29Speaker 1: very challenging words. And so you know that was so
- 43:34Speaker 1: disrespectful to my w You got more letters than me.
- 43:37Speaker 1: Why would you do that? You know what? It hurts me?
- 43:41Speaker 1: Why why would you do that to me when you
- 43:43Speaker 1: know you got you got like five six letters in
- 43:45Speaker 1: the alphabet. You can't do. Yeah, but I was ten
- 43:53Speaker 1: and see and see you could have been to fix yours.
- 43:56Speaker 1: But you don't know what's wrong. He excuse me, I'm sorry,
- 44:01Speaker 1: I'm sorry. You don't know who's won't he took a
- 44:07Speaker 1: class whatever? All right, guys, well thank you for that.
- 44:11Speaker 1: Coming up next, the nephew with the prank phone call
- 44:16Speaker 1: right after this you're listening to show. Coming up at
- 44:22Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after.
- 44:24Speaker 1: It's my strawberry letter for today. The subject he lives
- 44:28Speaker 1: in the hood and he loves it. But right now
- 44:31Speaker 1: we'll get into that. But right now the nephew is

- 46:43Speaker 1: the phone. Put her on the phone, man, and look,
- 46:47Speaker 1: you need to put her on the phone right now, leaving.
- 46:49Speaker 1: I don't believe that. Now. I want to hear her
- 46:51Speaker 1: say that. You want to talk to me. Oh here

- 47:50Speaker 1: let me you can I say something to you man,
- 47:52Speaker 1: sitement it left my wife on the phone. You ain't

- 47:58Speaker 1: let me say this to you man, very same man,
- 48:00Speaker 1: and wrap it up because I need to talk to
- 48:02Speaker 1: my wife. I just want you to know this. Brian,

- 50:59Speaker 1: he would the hell up at Delto, so that boy
- 51:03Speaker 1: would have been running through TSA gates because you know
- 51:06Speaker 1: you can't even you know, since nine eleven. You know,
- 51:09Speaker 1: you can't walk your friend people to the gate no
- 51:12Speaker 1: more and god, none of that. You have to have
- 51:14Speaker 1: a ticket. Yeah, he'd he'd have got through that, though
- 51:18Speaker 1: he'd have been on the turn back. I think he'd
- 51:22Speaker 1: been on the turn back. He'd about a ticket to
- 51:24Speaker 1: the same city. Y'all was going to that playing with
- 51:28Speaker 1: and then tell me with putting his wife on first
- 51:31Speaker 1: and then at no, I got it, I got it.
- 51:37Speaker 1: Let me who is going? Yeah, dumped over that? I said,
- 51:44Speaker 1: this far being ballaced together. Okay, too far funny because
- 51:57Speaker 1: that didn't happened before. Somebody, I'm sure it's hard to
- 52:03Speaker 1: laugh at. Didn't have Somethingbody give me phone, babe, I
- 52:07Speaker 1: got it, baby, Hey, hey, hey, listen man, um, yeah,
- 52:16Speaker 1: you know when you do that the exam long side. Yeah,
- 52:24Speaker 1: this is hard for me to even tell sease you out,
- 52:26Speaker 1: so you know, yeah, he's gonna get you. I know

- 52:49Speaker 1: use my little props that often. But the background stuff works.
- 52:53Speaker 1: It works when I I'm start implicent. Background. The background
- 53:00Speaker 1: was cold, man, because it puts you in there. Now
- 53:04Speaker 1: he's taking pranks to another Yes, nice knowing you, nephew,

- 55:04Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry letta thank enough for you subject.
- 55:08Speaker 1: He lives in the hood and he loves it. Dear
- 55:11Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley, I've been dating a guy for about a
- 55:13Speaker 1: year and a half now, and I'm concerned that he
- 55:16Speaker 1: isn't motivated to do better for himself. The first time
- 55:21Speaker 1: I spent the night at his house, I made some
- 55:23Speaker 1: comments on how none of the yards have grass and
- 55:26Speaker 1: the houses have burglar bars on the windows and doors.
- 55:29Speaker 1: I thought to myself, there's no way I'm staying here,
- 55:33Speaker 1: but he pressured me. He assured me that he would
- 55:36Speaker 1: protect me, so I stayed over the whole night. I
- 55:39Speaker 1: heard cars going up and down the street on a
- 55:42Speaker 1: lot of commotion. After the first night there, I haven't
- 55:45Speaker 1: been back to his house. That was over a year ago,
- 55:49Speaker 1: and he's gotten used to spending time at my house. Recently,
- 55:53Speaker 1: he had to talk about the fact that we never
- 55:56Speaker 1: hang out at his house, and he said that I
- 55:58Speaker 1: made it clear that his house was not good enough
- 56:00Speaker 1: for me. My next question was, why hasn't he attempted
- 56:04Speaker 1: to make it better or move out. He told me
- 56:07Speaker 1: about a police chase in his area and how the
- 56:09Speaker 1: DA sees a large amount of marijuana from a guy
- 56:13Speaker 1: down the street. He said he's not fixing his house
- 56:16Speaker 1: up until they get a handle on crime in that area.
- 56:20Speaker 1: That letting me know he has no plans to move.
- 56:23Speaker 1: He went on to say that he likes to be
- 56:25Speaker 1: around his people in the heart of the city where
- 56:27Speaker 1: he grew up. He told me I was scared of
- 56:30Speaker 1: my own people. Stephen Shirley, That's not true. I've worked
- 56:34Speaker 1: hard to separate myself from the criminal element, and I've
- 56:37Speaker 1: chosen to do better. I'm from the hood too, but
- 56:41Speaker 1: I moved out. We're both thirty seven and gainfully employed
- 56:45Speaker 1: making good money. How can we be compatible in all
- 56:48Speaker 1: areas except this one? Am I wasting my time? Well?
- 56:53Speaker 1: That depends. I mean that really depends. I'm thinking about
- 56:57Speaker 1: where this relationship is going. I mean, do you want
- 56:59Speaker 1: to marry this guy at some point? Because if you do,
- 57:03Speaker 1: this is a big red flag. If you guys can't
- 57:06Speaker 1: agree on something as basic as and important as where
- 57:10Speaker 1: you want to live and what neighborhood and all that
- 57:13Speaker 1: and moving out of the hood, then I would say,
- 57:16Speaker 1: you know your relationship is in trouble. The problem is
- 57:19Speaker 1: you're both right, You're just not right for each other.
- 57:23Speaker 1: You moved out and did better for yourself. Like you
- 57:25Speaker 1: said in the letter, he's right in the hood, and
- 57:28Speaker 1: he's right that the hood is not good enough for
- 57:30Speaker 1: you anymore. I mean, you feel that way, that's why
- 57:32Speaker 1: you moved out again. That's okay, nothing wrong with that.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I mean, he on the flip side wants to say
- 57:40Speaker 1: in his hood and hopes it will get better. You know.
- 57:45Speaker 1: For now, I think you guys should continue meeting at
- 57:47Speaker 1: your house. I do, and while you're there you need
- 57:51Speaker 1: to figure out. You need to have some conversations about
- 57:53Speaker 1: what you guys want to do moving forward in this relationship.
- 57:57Speaker 1: But this living in the hood thing is a big
- 57:59Speaker 1: problem for you too. It can't be ignored and you
- 58:02Speaker 1: might have to move on and find someone that shares
- 58:04Speaker 1: your same values. Steve Well, I agree with what you're saying, Sherley.
- 58:13Speaker 1: I have some more takes on it. Also, to add
- 58:16Speaker 1: to what you said, now you've been dating that guy.
- 58:20Speaker 1: You say, the subject is he lives in the hood
- 58:22Speaker 1: and he loves it. Now the thing automatically is I've
- 58:29Speaker 1: moved out of the hood a long time ago on
- 58:31Speaker 1: a personal note, but there are things that I absolutely
- 58:36Speaker 1: adored about it. There are some things, man, that really
- 58:42Speaker 1: do ring dear in my heart about it. You know,
- 58:47Speaker 1: now I'm a different person now, I've climbed the ladder
- 58:53Speaker 1: of a different way now, so some things I cannot
- 58:56Speaker 1: do anymore that I used to be able to do,
- 58:59Speaker 1: and in joy, walking to the stove, hanging out at
- 59:04Speaker 1: the park, singing down at the mail box, oh man,
- 59:09Speaker 1: hooping up at the bust, bond to all in the
- 59:12Speaker 1: middle of the night, all that. But see, so I
- 59:17Speaker 1: understand that. But you went over your spenders night, spending
- 59:21Speaker 1: night at his house, and then you made the comment
- 59:25Speaker 1: about it being kind to get over, and then you
- 59:28Speaker 1: said it ain't none of the yards got grass in
- 59:31Speaker 1: the houses got burglar bars on the winners and doors.
- 59:34Speaker 1: I thought to myself, that's no way I'm staying here.
- 59:36Speaker 1: But then he assured me that he would protect me.
- 59:38Speaker 1: So you stayed the whole night. You heard cars going
- 59:42Speaker 1: up downstreet. You know what, this is a lot of
- 59:46Speaker 1: commotion the summertime. You know what this is. It wasn't winter.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Ain't all that in the winter. You was over there
- 59:54Speaker 1: in the summer. Now. I don't know where you live,
- 59:56Speaker 1: but this this is some of the sum of them.
- 59:58Speaker 1: A commotion first night, Dad, you stay tonight and you
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: ain't been back, sins. That was a year agoing and
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: he'd got used to spend the time at your house.
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: Now here's your whole problem. When we come back, I'll
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: explain it to you. You had to talk about the
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: fact that we never hang out of his house. He said,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: he made it clear to his house and not good
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: enough for me. That's just to beginning the rest of it.
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: This letter, all right, Part two coming up at twenty
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: three minutes after he lives in the hood and he
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: loves it. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: You're listening morning show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letter. The subject he lives in the
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: hood and he loves it. He lives in the hood
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: and he loves it, and she doesn't. This woman's been
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: dating this man about a year and a half now.
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: She's concerned that he isn't motivated to better himself. That's
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: the conclusion that she came to. And now after this letter,
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: her conclusion is he's not motivated to better himself. First
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: time she's been to night at the house, she made
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: some comments about it being ghetto. And then the yards
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: ain't got no grass, and they got burglar balls on them.
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: And then she thought to herself, ain't know where she's
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: staying there. He told her he protect them. Whole night
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: she heard cars going up down the street and a
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: lot of commotion. I'm reading this into this with summertime
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: in the hood, you know what it is now? Like
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: I said before, I don't live in the hood anymore.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: I feel blessed and fortunate. But there are some things
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: about the hood that I missed dearly because it served
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: a valuable purpose in my life. It made me who
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: I am today. It created a starch in me, or
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: fight in me, some dog in me, and it just
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: taught me a lot about manhood. I learned most of
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: what I know about manhood from the hood. Okay, cool,
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: And it wasn't just because I was fighting it stuff.
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: It's just I had to grow up quicker than all right.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: So it's a lot of good stuff that happens in
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: the hood now, she said. And she ain't been over
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: there since that night, and it's been over a year.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: And he didn't got used to spending time at your house.
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Now here we go recently, we had to talk about
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: the fact that we never hang out of his house,
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: and he said, I made it clear that his house
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: was not good enough for me. And you did, you
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: talked about ain't no grass, burglar bars on these windows.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: You know, you made the man feel bad about this spot.
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: So he said, well, I ain't fit the brain over
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: here because we're gonna come over here next week. Ain't
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: fit to be no grass out here by next week.
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: And you know, get damn well, we can't take you
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: down burglar bars all. So now since that ain't ain't change,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: we can't change. Now. My next question was why hasn't
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: he attempted to make it better or move out? He
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: told me police chasing his air and how the DA
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: season large amount of marijuana from a guy down the street.
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: They're selling we a matter of fact, they've elevated it. Now,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: they're selling opioids, ox had cotton. Man. They're doing it
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: all and not in the hood of what I meant
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: to say. They do this in the suburbs. See, they're
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: selling weed in the suburbs. It weed houses out there now, oxycotton, opium,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: all everything, all the medical drugs. That's that's the suburb problem.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: To harrowing all that's getting sold out there, so it
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: ain't just the hood. And now he said he's not
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: fixing his house up until they get a handle on
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: crime in that ere. Now that the statement right there, dog,
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: we all know when that's gonna happen, especially with the
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: no snitch theory going on in the hood. We ain't
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: gonna be able to solve none of these damn crimes.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: Ain't nobody telling. So now he ain't gonna fix the house. Now,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: guess what conclusion she said that let me know he
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: has no plans to move. He went on to he
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: said he likes being around his people and to the
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: heart of the city where he grew up. He just
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: trying to justify. He told me, I was scared of
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: my own people. He just trying to push back at
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: you because you can talked about it this house, because
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: the ain't got no grass, got a little rock guarding outside,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: all these balls up, ain't no stairs, you know. And
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: you don't put carbet on your stairs in the hood
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: because you need to hear who coming up the steps.
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: You know, all these little tricks and stuff you ever
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: learn in the hood and everything. Stephen Shirley, that's not true.
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: I've worked hard to separate myself from the criminal element
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: and I've chosen to do better. I'm from the hood too,
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: but I moved out. And that we're both thirty seven
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: GameFly employed making good money. How can we be compatible
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: in all areas except this one? Am I wasting my time?
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: You are absolutely not wasting your time? And I want
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: to share something with you about men that an insight
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: that you may not have taken into consideration. This is
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: not a red flag, but you have to understand something.
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: At the time this brother bought this house, that's what
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: he could afford. He probably is very proud of the
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: fact that he's a homeowner that home and being from
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: that neighborhood and finally a wine a piece of property
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: may have a sentimental value to him and definitely a
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: sense of pride he's now a homeowner. Sentimental reasons. Now
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: that what's happening with you all? And you all are
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: not communicating properly, because when you set a man down,
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: he told you that, you know, he felt like his
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: house wasn't good enough for you. That's why he ain't
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: been You ain't been back over there, but you don't
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: You never asked a man why he won't move. See,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: he just told you he ain't fixing the house something
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: until they get a grip on crime around that. He
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: know it's crime, He know you know it's crime. But
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: this man hadn't bought this house. You ain't giving him
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: no credit for that. You ain't giving him no credit
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: for coming up with the down payment. You don't know
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: what this brother went through to get this house, but
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: you just dogging him for staying in it. He ain't
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: had no reason till he met you to even go
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: nowhere else. So now he's crazy about you. So he's
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: been spending all this time at your house, but he
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: don't want to bring you over there to his accomplishment,
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: and then you dog him about it. See, you're missing
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: one of the points his system. So this is a
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: communication problem. I think I need you to just sit
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: down and really think about why this man is willing
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: to stay there and then go from there. But you
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: don't leave no man because he didn't bought a house
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: and he won't to live in it. Have you thought
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: about that? Thank you? All right? Thank you? Steve. Post
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the Strawberry Letter podcast
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: on demand. Coming up at forty six after the hour,
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: we'll talk sports with Junior right after this. You're listening
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Junior, you
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: are here with sports talk. What you got for us today?
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: All right, Charlie, Well, I don't know what you said
- 1:06:57Speaker 1: that at NFL Honors, but they heard, you know, they
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: really did. The Washington football team is in the process
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: of figuring out its old new name. They are you said,
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: they are on the way to do it. Y'all think
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: he the genius heat, the one that made this happen.
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: That's what y'all think. Said nothing the NFL Honors. I
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: wrote a joke about it and let them get the
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: joke was go ahead, okay, well, let me just see
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the party. I'll get the party and we'll get to
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: the joke. They letting fans be a part of it all.
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: The team launched a special new website, Washington Journey dot com,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: that features an area where fans can submit ideas for
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: the next name and even include images for the uniforms
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: and logo. Okay, I'm telling the joke. Jay at the
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: NFL honors. I said, the NFL has one of the
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: greatest brands in the world, some of the most ingenious
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: marketing minds of all. That shield is well protected and
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: well promoted. So I'm trying to figure out high in
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: the world the Washington red Skins couldn't come up with
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: the name. All they had to do was come up
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: with something that wasn't racist. And all they came up
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: with was the damn Washington football team. It could have
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: been the Washington Scandals. They could have came up with
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: the Denzel Washington. All your ass could come up with
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: was the Washington football team. Who paying these damn people
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: in market? I'm telling you, man, and I'm telling you.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: And after that, now the Washington football team and big
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: lad from the players anyway, and now they got a website.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Now got a website, you know, live hater. But I
- 1:08:51Speaker 1: have to go with team timing. I mean, I think
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: it's a really good joke, but I'm in a position
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: that I have to go with team time, right, And
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: and your vote is so limited because you ain't here
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: but twice voting don't matter. But I'm here on voting day.
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: How about that? All you doing vote on timing? Which
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: we already know what that is. Because you think if
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: I get rid of your ass, y'all to go and
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: start another damn show, just tell them you're welcome. Nobody
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: said that. Shut up. Well, let's find out. We're gonna
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: find out what the team name's gonna be, though, But
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: if they heard you, that's all I can team. I'm
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: gonna get involved in and come up with a name. Yeah, man,
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: oh good, yeah all right, yeah, yeah, I mean George Washington.
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: When Washington, we're going with Washington, Washington, don't slave on
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: the junior. Yeah, all right. Coming up at the top
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: of the hour, we'll talk about divorce Keim and Kanye
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Stay Morning show. All right.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: So there's a rumor out that says Kanye has tried
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: to erase memories of Kim Kardashian. A source said some
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: of Kim's stuff in Wyoming was packed for her to
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: take back to La Lesser items got tossed in the
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: trash um. The source added a quote from Kanye saying
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: in the last two weeks, Kanye was attempting to sell
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: jewelry he had purchased for Kim. Um at least two
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: top jewelers to at least two top jewelers. The friends
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: said that Kim's belongings pained Kanye to see um just
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: to see you know, he was talking about how he
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: didn't want to be reminded of the past. So I mean,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: I guess that's understandable memories. Yeah, yeah, yeah, and take
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: it from it away and just well, you know, you know,
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: you know, Tommy, you know you got ahead at that
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: moment that I'm doing something when really what you're saying
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: is absolutely the true. Put it in a box. But
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: you gotta get other people, get involved and demonstrate you
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: strong enough to move on. You're gonna sell it. They
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: ain't find getting nothing though it ain't it ain't that jury.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: It's their memory. And take it from a man who
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: knows by divorce, really knows about it. Take the loss down.
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: Just take it and you didn't take that would be
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: your best thing, because if you try to fight and
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: hold on you up, you're not gonna But you know what, Steve,
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: I I you know, let me you know you and
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: Jay let me just say I've never because they got
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: experienced on me. I'm not. I'm not. I'm not trying
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: to point out But for what I want to say is,
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: you know, I haven't been through a divorce. Man, I honestly,
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: I truly can't see somebody else with my kids. Man,
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: that would that wouldn't crush you to my car, That
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: would crush me to my cord to see someone else
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: with my kids, man, I just well, you don't ever
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: have stuff ain't gonna help you. Selling her stuff is
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: not gonna help you. You know, man, you don't You
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: don't lose your children, yeah, you know. And you can't
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: stay in a marriage for the kids because the kids
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: ain't married to her. Kids gonna always love her, kids
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: will always love you. They're figuring out you. Yeah that,
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: and you just have to go head on. Man. But
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: Jay is right, Selling the stuff ain't gonna make you
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: feel no better. But I also understand time of what
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: you're saying is you don't want to see nobody else
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: raising your kids. Yeah, yeah, I'm saying, I'm Steve was saying.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Don't stand it. But the kid kids are not gonna
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: be happy in an unhappy home either, and then that's
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: not gonna work for them. That makes that's even worse.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: My parents my parents divorced, like Steve, right, Please don't
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: stand it for the kids, because they suffer when you
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: stand it for the kids. Because you know, I realized
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: I wasn't married to my mom and daddy. I wouldn't
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the marriage because I tried to be my mama. My
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: daddy whooped my ass for trying to protect up. Oh
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: my god, I ain't married to nobody in him. What
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: I jump in when they broke up? The hell I
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: jump in, fuck, I try to protect her. He beat
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: the dog mess oiude of me. I said, you know what, mom,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: you need to learn how to do better. Song. You
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: didn't know how to talk people. Yeah, you didn't turn
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: how to talk people in here to hell. He mad
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: at me. He was mad at you. Now he mad
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: at me, Joe, he whoop whoop you So yeah he could,
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: but he whooped the mess out of me. And then
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: the next morning, you know, Mama said, can you believe
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: your daddy? Last night? Look at my eyes. I think
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: I believe him. Believe on everybody. And it is it is,
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: It really is like a death. You know you I
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: got if you got memorabile, you're laying around the house
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: that only reminds you, but you're not. You just have
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: to get up and move on. That a thing I
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: do know about Kanye for show, really really good fault,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: really good with him. I believe that really really good.
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: You know. But when you see another man with your children,
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, it's crushed. Man. That's gotta be that has
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: to be crushing. I don't know that experience. It has
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: to be crushing. Well, I mean I've seen it before. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I mean people do it every day. They lended family.
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: It ain't all that damn crushing. We'll have more of
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at twenty minutes
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: after the hour. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Morning Show. Well, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: Biden will travel to Houston today. I just love saying,
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: President Joe Biden, such a relief, such a just an
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: exhale moment. Well, anyway, they're traveling to Houston and today, yeah,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: to meet with local leaders, should discuss the winter storm
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: relief efforts, progress toward recovery. And then while they're there
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: in Texas, the President walsa visit COVID health centers where
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: vaccines are being distributed. Yes, thank you, President Biden. All right, Joe.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: He's the leader. That's the leader that yes America, Yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: not golf after his words? What Tommy, he's not golfing.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: He's not tweeting. You know, he actually doing presidential stuff.
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: He's not lying. Yes, y'all get it together. Lying. Yeahs
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: to the bottom federally of what happened, where the failure
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: went down and he made this fifteen dollars an hour happened.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: That's what we mean. Yes, I was just thinking that,
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: Jim Jay. Then yes, yeah, Democrats want of the Republicans
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: don't right? So far? Is that all I want? Just
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: get Texas on the same power that the rest of
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: the country is owned, and not buy ourselves independently. We
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: can we hook up with the rest of the country
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: when it comes to electrical power. Okay, all right, we'll
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after. Right after this you're listening
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: to show. Steve introduced him, ladies and gentlemen, the twisted
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: demented mind. Oh Jay, Anthony Brown, brilliance, brilliance. Okay, we
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: only have a I think a few more days left
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: for Black History Month, is that right? Yeah? Yeah, so
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: what I'd like to read A found this. It's a
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: letter from a runaway slave or a freedman. I would
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: like to read this. Hit it crystalpher on my cock
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: lying team. If you got this letter, I made it now.
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: If the person who opens this letter can't read, give
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: it to someone who can. First of all, I told
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: y'all to come, but no y'all wanted to stay. Trust me,
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: it wasn't easy, but it is such a good feeling
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: to wake up in the morning and not have to
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: pick a damn thing. Weren't easy getting up here. Missus
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: tubman don't play. She don't play at all. She had
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: to pull a gun out on John Henry and pistol
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: whip him when he started to cry, saying he wanted
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: to go back. After the swelling went down, he changed
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: his mind. She passed out a couple of times, but
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: when she came to, she made up for it. Just
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: in case she comes back for some of y'all on
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: a second run. Do not use the phrase please please,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: do not use a phrase when we gonna get there.
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: That seems to upset her a lot. One thing I
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: found out about running away the female slaves are real
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: friendly at night when it is cold. Yes they are.
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Upon my arrival, I met some upper the blacks acted
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: like they had never picked cotton. Hear y'all so up.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: They ain't been free but twelve minutes. I said, sp
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: that's short for slave. Please, I get a feeling slave. Please.
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: It's gonna change one day. I don't know what to Also,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: I also met fregless Douglas. I don't know what's up
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: with his hair either. He dating a white woman. He
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: introduced me to her sister. Yes, I have crossed over. Well,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: so much for talking to y'all. I'll holler at y'all later. Ps.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: That's what you put at the end of a letter
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: when you have more to say. Give my shoes to
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: the Williams brothers since they both have one foot. Just
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: come and ask me if I wanted to come back
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: for a second run. I said, hell no, Oh my god.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: J Anthony coming up. It is our last break of
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: the day. It is the last break of the day.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: Listen to him. What we did last night has nothing
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: to do with the fact that you can use my toothbrush. Okay,
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: all right. We'll also have some closing remarks from the
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: one and only Steve Harvey at forty nine minutes after.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: All right, here we are, last break of the day,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: last break of the week for the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Wow,
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: it's been a good full of the week. You're exhausted
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: to Saturday? Yes that you? Yes? Hey, you know what?
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: Can I say something before you get started? Do you
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: know there's a possibility that Watson might actually stay in Houston?
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: It's a strong possibility where Sean Watson? Did you say
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: any word? What is it? When? When? When we get it?
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: Say that on the show. We think it a lot,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: though we can't say it sound like you said. We've
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: been a good place for it. You know? Slave please? Yeah,
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: he's slave please? And I think something else, but I
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: don't know exactly what. Oh god, no, I don't know. Man.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: You know, for y'all's sake, I hope you do. But
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: he ain't doing it for you y'all sake. I don't
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: like the way they treat it. Is he good? I'll
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: be honest about that. I don't like great. He's great.
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: He's he's not good. He's great. Now, did JJ go
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: to Cleveland? Is that old fisher JJ balo, jj wat
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: What did you talking about? Buffalo Man, I said, Cleveland.
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: I said, huh he talking? What are you talking about?
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: I said, J Jfalo. Oh oh this is interesting. Yeah,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: I know it. It really is. Really, it really is.
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: But don't about the care that you don't care, because
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: we ain't got no time, you know. And let me
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: say this in closing um this show. I was talking
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: about it with a group of people on a zoom
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: call to talk about my career in radio and future
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: thoughts in all like this. But I wanted to say
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: about this show right here to Steve Harvey Morning Show,
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: it's it's comprised of probably one of the most talented
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: cast of people in all of radio. And one of
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: the statements that they made on the call the other
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: day when I was talking with the us, it seems
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: like you are genuinely like each other. And you know,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: we've jailed over the years, and you know, we know
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: a lot about each other personally. You know, we pray
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: for each other as we know when each other's going
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: through hardships and hard times. You know, we've seen each
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: other cry about different things, rejoice about certain things, we
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: celebrate birthdays, and accomplishments of children with one another, with
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: the grandchildrens, with career moves and successes, and it has
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: been a relationship that you spend quite a bit of
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: time with some people. When you work with people every
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: single day, and you go through the pandemic with them,
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: and you go through the elections with them, and you
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: go through the ups and downs, and you try to
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: be entertaining with them, inspiring with them and enlightening with them.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Dolls build a bond, you know, and we have that
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: bond on the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Yeah. I'm pretty
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: sure other people can say the same thing, but I've
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: seen the turnover on other shows, and we don't have that.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: We are consistently the same. You don't see people coming
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: in and out of this show. You don't see them
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: changing co hosting, changing parts. We've stayed pretty much the
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: same since we started to syndicated show fifteen sixteen years ago.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I've been with surely since two thousand. Tommy came along
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: in two thousand two something like that a couple of
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: years after, and we've been together a long time. Man
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: and Carlin became a part of all this in two
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: thousand and five and Mississippi Monica, and then we got
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: Jay when oh you know, we practiced restoled him, and
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: you know what an addition it was. And I've watched
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: this cast grow over the years and develop into their
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: own until everybody understood who they were on the show.
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: And then we added Junior. Junior came along and it
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: was in addition to the show, and we added parts.
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: We have the really most talented morning show on the air.
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: I know somebody else can say that too, but it
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: ain't true, It really ain't. I'm just telling you flat out,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you can't produce. There is no morning show on radio
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: more inspiring than this show. We spend too much time
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: trying to encourage and lighten uplift our people. And then
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: after that that, you cannot be more entertaining than this
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: show right here. You can't laugh harder in the morning
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: at nothing than you do right here on this show.
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: And it's because as an ensemble cast, we have formulated
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: a formidable force in adult contemporary radio to where we
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: are the number one adult contemporary radio station in the world.
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: We are the only music driven adult contemporary station that's
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: on all three major markets. Nobody else can say that
- 1:26:23Speaker 1: we's a bad thing. And thank y'all for tuning in
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: every morning because you help make us who we are
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: and we appreciate y'all. That's how I feel about the
