- 0:02Speaker 1: Y'all know what time to y'all don't know y'all have
- 0:09Speaker 1: a suit looking back to back down, giving them more
- 0:15Speaker 1: like the million bucks things and its cubs. Do me
- 0:19Speaker 1: true good it. Steve har listening to move together for stum, Please,
- 0:38Speaker 1: I don't join join me? You doing me? You gotta
- 1:01Speaker 1: turn hur you gotta turn to turn them out. Turn,
- 1:42Speaker 1: you got to turn them out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water go. Come come on your fad uh huh,
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure will come on it everybody. Y'all listen to
- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:08Speaker 1: Steve Harvey. Uh got a radio show. Yep, yep. Sometimes
- 2:16Speaker 1: I saw all I can say. Yea help man. How
- 2:20Speaker 1: far I've come is really unbelievable. But you know I
- 2:23Speaker 1: finally figured it out. Man. God allowed me to have
- 2:29Speaker 1: the life I've had so that I can become experienced
- 2:34Speaker 1: at so many different things. And then this experience when
- 2:38Speaker 1: I'm talking and sharing with people, I will be able
- 2:41Speaker 1: to relate to a lot of different circumstances, not exact,
- 2:45Speaker 1: but just the circumstances. You know. You know if a
- 2:48Speaker 1: person comes to me and they say, man, I've been
- 2:50Speaker 1: down and out, Okay, well I know what that is, man,
- 2:53Speaker 1: I didn't I didn't have any direction. Okay, got that
- 2:56Speaker 1: been there, man, At one point in time, I just
- 3:00Speaker 1: kept piling mistake on top of mistakes. Okay, and they're
- 3:05Speaker 1: done that too. So you know, I think what I'm
- 3:10Speaker 1: trying to say to everybody is when you're going through
- 3:12Speaker 1: life and life is dealing the cards that it deals,
- 3:18Speaker 1: I want you to understand that life deals everybody these cards.
- 3:22Speaker 1: The disappointment card, the setback card, the failure card, the
- 3:29Speaker 1: mishap card, the unexpected misery card. Everybody gonna get, the
- 3:35Speaker 1: grief card, everybody gonna get, the rash of bad decision card,
- 3:40Speaker 1: everybody gonna get them. Understand that going in that everybody
- 3:47Speaker 1: is gonna get these cards. It's how you play them, though,
- 3:55Speaker 1: you know, from time to time, one more time, it's
- 3:57Speaker 1: how you play them, you know. From time to time
- 4:00Speaker 1: when I'm watching TV, I love to watch the World
- 4:04Speaker 1: Series of Poker. I like watching poker tournaments on TV
- 4:09Speaker 1: because it's it's really weird, what's happened to a sport?
- 4:13Speaker 1: To a poker? They're actually trying to call it a sport,
- 4:16Speaker 1: you know, And as the everyday guy that doesn't have
- 4:19Speaker 1: to be athletically inclined to anything, who has a shot
- 4:24Speaker 1: of winning a title if they play their cards right.
- 4:29Speaker 1: The best poker players in the world don't have the
- 4:32Speaker 1: best hands, They just make the best plays. I've seen
- 4:38Speaker 1: guys win a hand with nine two in their hand
- 4:41Speaker 1: that's nothing, and win the hand because they knew the bluff,
- 4:46Speaker 1: they knew the odds, they calculated risks, they made the
- 4:51Speaker 1: stakes higher than the other person was willing to pay.
- 4:55Speaker 1: They gave off the illusion that they had something with
- 4:58Speaker 1: an actuality. They had nothing. So what I what I
- 5:04Speaker 1: enjoy about poker and watching it is that these people,
- 5:07Speaker 1: these people here, played the hand they dealt and it
- 5:12Speaker 1: ain't always a good hand. But it ain't whether your
- 5:16Speaker 1: hand is good. And it ain't whether you're gonna get
- 5:18Speaker 1: dealt bad cards or not. Because you're gonna get dealt
- 5:20Speaker 1: some bad cards. Everybody ain't gonna get two bullets in
- 5:23Speaker 1: their hand. You ain't gonna get two aces when you
- 5:25Speaker 1: get dealt. Uh. You know, when you play and draw poker,
- 5:28Speaker 1: some of your cards gonna be nothing. But you got
- 5:31Speaker 1: to turn that nothing into something. So when you get
- 5:34Speaker 1: dealt these cards in life, it ain't the fact that
- 5:36Speaker 1: you get keep getting them dealt. I was talking with
- 5:39Speaker 1: a young person yesterday and we were talking and we
- 5:42Speaker 1: keep having the same conversation over and over and over,
- 5:45Speaker 1: and they could not understand why they were not moving forward.
- 5:49Speaker 1: But I said, you don't understand. Every time we talk
- 5:52Speaker 1: we have the exact same conversation. It is simply because
- 5:56Speaker 1: you keep getting your cards and you play in them
- 6:00Speaker 1: the same way. See. Until you make a conscientious different,
- 6:04Speaker 1: the conscious decision to do something different, the results will
- 6:09Speaker 1: continue to be the same. See here's the way this works.
- 6:17Speaker 1: When you're dealt to disappointments in life, it's how you
- 6:20Speaker 1: handle the disappointments that determine the outcome and who you are.
- 6:25Speaker 1: Because everybody gonna be disappointment, Everybody gonna lose a love one,
- 6:29Speaker 1: Everybody gonna make a bad decision, Everybody gonna end wake
- 6:32Speaker 1: up one morning they have done something they regretted. Everybody
- 6:35Speaker 1: gonna get caught at the wrong time, every everybody gonna
- 6:40Speaker 1: make a mistake. It ain't just you. That is how
- 6:42Speaker 1: you play your cards when they get dealt to you,
- 6:45Speaker 1: that determine who you are. Na how do I play
- 6:48Speaker 1: my cards better? First of all, it's a mindset. Quit
- 6:52Speaker 1: looking at everything as just the end when it happens
- 6:55Speaker 1: to you. Oh lord, woe is me? Nah, everybody at
- 7:00Speaker 1: your circumstances somewhere, it ain't old woe is me. It's
- 7:04Speaker 1: hold on, man, Okay, let me play this out to
- 7:07Speaker 1: see how God then connected this to something else. See,
- 7:10Speaker 1: as soon as a person have a setback, what's the
- 7:12Speaker 1: first thing A lot of people do, They go straight negative.
- 7:15Speaker 1: I can't see him to get a break. I can't
- 7:17Speaker 1: see them move forward. Hold on, man, do you realize
- 7:20Speaker 1: this could be connected to something? But if you take
- 7:23Speaker 1: the negative position all the time, this setback could be
- 7:27Speaker 1: connected to something good that's gonna happen for you in
- 7:31Speaker 1: just a few days, weeks, months, or year or years.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But it all works for the good. See. You got
- 7:40Speaker 1: to understand, man, that this thing is all connected. That
- 7:43Speaker 1: you're not having these mishaps and these spills and accidents
- 7:47Speaker 1: and falls for no reason. It's so you can become
- 7:50Speaker 1: experienced at them. So when He takes you to the
- 7:52Speaker 1: next level, when it happens again, you have no how
- 7:55Speaker 1: and how to handle it. But if you keep handling
- 7:57Speaker 1: the wrong if you don't ever handle mishaps correctly, if
- 8:01Speaker 1: you keep throwing yourself off the cliff every time something happened.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Come home, man, you're just gonna be a cliff diver.
- 8:10Speaker 1: You just every time something pop off. Oh here I
- 8:12Speaker 1: go out to playing without the parachute. Man, stop tripping
- 8:16Speaker 1: yourself out. I was talking to this young person. I
- 8:19Speaker 1: kept saying, and you know what they tried to tell me.
- 8:21Speaker 1: They said, you know, I'm trying to stay positive. This
- 8:26Speaker 1: is what they told me. I'm trying to stay positive.
- 8:29Speaker 1: But the people around here they're just killing that. They
- 8:32Speaker 1: just kill it. Whoa, whoa. Oh that's what our problem is. Oh,
- 8:38Speaker 1: I see. So when you learn something and you know something,
- 8:43Speaker 1: you don't take ownership of it. You allow other people
- 8:46Speaker 1: to come into what you know and believe and shake
- 8:50Speaker 1: it loose from you. I don't kire who you are.
- 8:51Speaker 1: You're not doing me like that. You are not doing
- 8:54Speaker 1: me like that, and don't let nobody do that to you.
- 8:57Speaker 1: Here's a deal. I have a gift that was given
- 9:00Speaker 1: to me from God. That is the gift of comedy.
- 9:02Speaker 1: That's what I've done. I've made the bulk of my
- 9:05Speaker 1: living on that skill set. Right there. That are comedians
- 9:09Speaker 1: who are supposedly friends of mine, who I've worked with
- 9:12Speaker 1: who get around in huddles with one another and they say, man,
- 9:15Speaker 1: Steve really ain't funny. I don't see what they'd be
- 9:18Speaker 1: laughing at. He ain't funny to me, he wasn't the
- 9:21Speaker 1: funniest king. To me, he wasn't the funny? Is that
- 9:23Speaker 1: to me? Hey, excuse me, excuse me. You're irrelevant in
- 9:29Speaker 1: this conversation, sir. If I really want to be truthful
- 9:32Speaker 1: with you, you're irrelevant in this conversation because I regardless
- 9:36Speaker 1: as to how you feel about me. That are people
- 9:38Speaker 1: think that I'm knocked down kill over funny. But more importantly,
- 9:42Speaker 1: I own the gift that God gave to me. I
- 9:46Speaker 1: take ownership of his blessing, what God has done for me.
- 9:49Speaker 1: I claim it and own it because you don't think
- 9:52Speaker 1: it so you ain't taking that from me. Stop letting
- 9:55Speaker 1: people steal your joy. Stop letting people take what you're
- 9:59Speaker 1: supposed to. No. Look, I'm a I'm a I'm a
- 10:03Speaker 1: I'm a kind person at heart. Man, You ain't nothing
- 10:06Speaker 1: now you said, I here going Man, I guess I
- 10:08Speaker 1: ain't what you're tripping for. You are a kind person
- 10:11Speaker 1: own that take ownership of it. Stop letting things God
- 10:17Speaker 1: has given you be taken away from others. The devil
- 10:21Speaker 1: is a cold player, and he got cold players working
- 10:23Speaker 1: for him, just shaking, just taking stuff from you. You know,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I'm a hard worker. I really am intelligent. You stupid, Oh,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you stupid man. I thought I was a hard worker. Man.
- 10:36Speaker 1: They came in here and said I was stupid. Man,
- 10:38Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm doing wrong? What excuse me?
- 10:42Speaker 1: You're a very bright person. Hey, y'all take ownership when
- 10:46Speaker 1: God gives you something, blesses you would have gifted talent,
- 10:49Speaker 1: a skill set, a mindset, own it. Don't let people
- 10:53Speaker 1: come in here and take it from you. Man, Okay,
- 10:56Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't do with that. You're listening to show
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen playoffs? Everybody, let me have your attention.
- 11:10Speaker 1: Today is not gonna be another one of them days.
- 11:13Speaker 1: Today is a new day, new day, a new day day?
- 11:19Speaker 1: What day? Is it? A new day? A new day
- 11:24Speaker 1: gonna be a new game? Is that a song? Something says?
- 11:30Speaker 1: A song? Oh? Yes, yes, just shrling murder. A new
- 11:35Speaker 1: day brings reality? Yeah? Is that a song? But it's
- 11:43Speaker 1: gonna be that? And tell me I heard you say
- 11:45Speaker 1: nude day. I heard a little naked and put a
- 11:49Speaker 1: little naked in your day. So that naked. Okay, we
- 11:56Speaker 1: just got here. We just put our clothes on. Crack it,
- 12:02Speaker 1: it's gonna crack. Yeah. It's a little chili out, a
- 12:08Speaker 1: little chili wom up, as the old people say, wom up.
- 12:14Speaker 1: How you feel? How you feeling, Steve, you know what
- 12:17Speaker 1: I'm talking about, right, Yeah, woma, it's up. It's any
- 12:24Speaker 1: kitchen on top of it and just warm it up
- 12:26Speaker 1: and eat it. Nothing wrong with it. Old people had
- 12:29Speaker 1: a house hot no matter what time of the year.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And man, let me tell you something. Man, a couple
- 12:35Speaker 1: of years ago, a couple of years ago, we did.
- 12:39Speaker 1: I took my family out on Thanksgiving. It we delivered meals,
- 12:43Speaker 1: meals on wheels, and we delivered all day all you know,
- 12:48Speaker 1: two families in need. We went into this old lady's house.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Come on, hey, man, it was so I didn't now
- 12:58Speaker 1: And as soon as I walked then, Lord Jesus, what
- 13:04Speaker 1: not you? What is you doing? Downhill? Baby? What didn't
- 13:11Speaker 1: TV people know you? Downhill? She went to her wonder
- 13:16Speaker 1: and looked out the color. Ain't no police with you?
- 13:20Speaker 1: I said, no, ma'am, Oh lord, you want me to
- 13:24Speaker 1: call my nephews. I said it for what so they
- 13:27Speaker 1: can watch over you? I said, ma'am, I'm from hill.
- 13:32Speaker 1: I heard you was, but you don't. It's Look, what
- 13:37Speaker 1: time is it? I said, twelve thirty? Oh you got
- 13:41Speaker 1: a little time. Want you to be gone? You're gonna
- 13:43Speaker 1: stay till this dog? I said, not here. I got
- 13:45Speaker 1: to do a lot of other house. Oh I thought
- 13:48Speaker 1: you were gonna stay a while. I said, no, just
- 13:52Speaker 1: drop this off. I got some more houses to take
- 13:54Speaker 1: care of. I said all that to say it was
- 13:57Speaker 1: the hottest house I've ever in my time life. And
- 14:03Speaker 1: that conversation we had was taken two damn long. I
- 14:08Speaker 1: had reached that age, that hot stage day. Yeah, man,
- 14:14Speaker 1: it's gotta be hunt really. Yeah, my room is my
- 14:18Speaker 1: kids William come see me. It's too hot over their
- 14:20Speaker 1: dad like, oh, that's the reason you made it. Hey,
- 14:27Speaker 1: listen coming up at thirty two after the hour, guys,
- 14:30Speaker 1: we're gonna start the morning off with a question. Uh
- 14:33Speaker 1: and and it's this, what's something you want to say
- 14:36Speaker 1: to your significant other but you're scared. We'll do that
- 14:39Speaker 1: at thirty two after right after. Oh yes, you're listening
- 14:45Speaker 1: to show well now, anyone in a relationship knows that
- 14:50Speaker 1: no matter how much you love someone, you know, kissy, kissy, smoothie,
- 14:55Speaker 1: all of that, how much you love them, there are
- 14:57Speaker 1: things about them that get on your nerves. Okay, I
- 15:01Speaker 1: redded Pole asked, what's the one thing you wish you
- 15:04Speaker 1: could say to your spouse or your mate but you
- 15:07Speaker 1: cannot bring yourself to say it because you know it's
- 15:11Speaker 1: gonna cost World War three? Up in there some head,
- 15:15Speaker 1: you know, like little bitty gripes like we can just
- 15:18Speaker 1: go with that. I've got all right. Oh, why don't
- 15:20Speaker 1: you shut up? Oh? Uh, okay, let me, that's me.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Let me just let me. Let me ask this question
- 15:30Speaker 1: before you jump the gun. Mister Harvey, you say it
- 15:34Speaker 1: what you want to say, but you don't say because
- 15:38Speaker 1: you scared your spouse or your mate or your significant other?
- 15:43Speaker 1: Did you miss your heart? Is there something you want
- 15:47Speaker 1: to say to your wife your significant other but you're
- 15:49Speaker 1: too scared to say? I'll say it one more time.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Why is my answer not sufficient? It's not that it's
- 15:56Speaker 1: not sufficient. You got a lot of aggression on you. Yes,
- 16:00Speaker 1: are you serious right now? Oh? Don't act like y'all
- 16:05Speaker 1: see what killed me? Not not not here, the two foods,
- 16:08Speaker 1: all the suddenness concerned that they I totally agree with you.
- 16:12Speaker 1: This is the time. I definitely agree that you say
- 16:15Speaker 1: what this is about? Every man wants to say that,
- 16:19Speaker 1: and that's what I say for him. Say do you wait?
- 16:22Speaker 1: So what do you as the only wife here? Do
- 16:25Speaker 1: you guys think that Nesta wants to say that to
- 16:27Speaker 1: me with everything in him? You know what you want
- 16:33Speaker 1: to say? Sir? When the hell are you gonna cook
- 16:36Speaker 1: something round here that ain't gonna kill me? No, Shirley,
- 16:41Speaker 1: what he has thought that? Yeah? He thought that? Really? Okay, then,
- 16:51Speaker 1: believe it or not. There are times in a relationship,
- 16:54Speaker 1: and I've been in a line when a man really
- 16:56Speaker 1: don't want to hear what you got to say at
- 16:59Speaker 1: all at all. Okay, now I understand I get that, Okay,
- 17:05Speaker 1: But to say it like you said, it's no you say,
- 17:10Speaker 1: I said, this is something I want to say to
- 17:14Speaker 1: your wife? What you to your wife's about? But you
- 17:17Speaker 1: can't be cause you skate it right? You just yo,
- 17:25Speaker 1: this is what my husband is thinking all the time.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Not all the time, Shelly, we thought that. When y'all
- 17:36Speaker 1: be right, it's something I want to say no, come on,
- 17:44Speaker 1: are we ever gonna do it? When I want to do? Huh?
- 17:49Speaker 1: You the one pick and choose all the damn time. Hey,
- 17:54Speaker 1: that's that's never gone. Yeah. Wow, you guys really have
- 18:00Speaker 1: stuff like your You said what you want to, yes,
- 18:03Speaker 1: but you're afraid to say it. I didn't think you
- 18:06Speaker 1: would say that. Okay, I got one, every man to say,
- 18:11Speaker 1: you think you can cook that meal, but you cannot.
- 18:16Speaker 1: You ain't never got it right? The hatred that I
- 18:24Speaker 1: have built right now for you guys, I think we
- 18:27Speaker 1: have not said said it all right? Come on, see
- 18:31Speaker 1: you have more dang something you want to say to
- 18:34Speaker 1: your wife, a significant other that that that you're too
- 18:37Speaker 1: scared to say? Oh, just like you mom? Yeah, I
- 18:50Speaker 1: got one okay, yeah, Tommy first, just cause you have
- 18:55Speaker 1: any damn hot flash, don't mean I don't have it. Okay,
- 19:03Speaker 1: I got one. Yes, that dress makes your butt look did? Okay? Yes? No,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I don't want to hear that I got one? What what? Hell? No?
- 19:21Speaker 1: Like what you got on? But we gotta get out
- 19:24Speaker 1: of here because we laid already. She's only changed time.
- 19:31Speaker 1: So bab you like this? Oh yeah, come on, yeah
- 19:34Speaker 1: we did. Oh you you nailed it. That's it right,
- 19:39Speaker 1: we're saying, we're saying what we want to see this.
- 19:45Speaker 1: How scared you are you're trying to man? Okay, let
- 19:49Speaker 1: me make it hear here. The girl I had for
- 19:52Speaker 1: we got married, knew how to cook some damn going
- 19:58Speaker 1: tom Man. You can't say oh no, no, but you
- 20:02Speaker 1: can say what you said. It's all the same, sir.
- 20:09Speaker 1: I'm oh I got one. Wait till I've seen that.
- 20:13Speaker 1: So okay, I got one. Every man is wonder say
- 20:17Speaker 1: what you ask me if she's fine? And now my answer, yes,
- 20:21Speaker 1: she is fine. Hell. So this is what you guys
- 20:31Speaker 1: are holding in. Okay, all right? Is there something you
- 20:35Speaker 1: want to say to your wife or significant other that
- 20:37Speaker 1: you're too afraid to say? Uh, steve anything else to
- 20:41Speaker 1: get off your dress? What? I guess you got one
- 20:46Speaker 1: right quick, Timmy. I don't love you like that. I don't.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I don't. I don't love you like that right there,
- 20:54Speaker 1: right there. I don't love you like that, But I'm
- 20:56Speaker 1: just taking another. Yes, that's yes. Oh god, Oh I
- 21:05Speaker 1: wish I never had met your ass. I got one
- 21:11Speaker 1: to close it out of the zoo. I wish I
- 21:13Speaker 1: had never met your Go ahead, Jake, go ahead. Okay,
- 21:18Speaker 1: sometimes you just do that too hard. Okay, that's all
- 21:21Speaker 1: I'm say. Yes, come on, this has to be like
- 21:31Speaker 1: like that movie that's that's out with Teraji p Henson.
- 21:34Speaker 1: What men want? You know? She could read their thoughts? Yeah,
- 21:38Speaker 1: thank god, every woman can read her husband's thoughts. I
- 21:44Speaker 1: hate all of you, I really do. Right now, oh man,
- 21:46Speaker 1: I really do you know? All right? Coming up next,
- 21:51Speaker 1: it is the nephew would run that prank back. I
- 21:54Speaker 1: hate all of you. See Tommy and Jake today. Right
- 21:58Speaker 1: now you're listening Day Morning show. Coming up at the

- 22:53Speaker 1: Have you had any activity or any problems around your
- 22:56Speaker 1: naval area? Na that's fine, okay, saying all right, h yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 1: everything's fine. But I mean if you haven't had any
- 23:06Speaker 1: any type of nothing, no breakout or anything around your
- 23:09Speaker 1: navel or whatsoever. No about my navel. Now everything's going straight, man, Okay,
- 23:16Speaker 1: to see what's going on? Man, what's happening? Okay? Actually,
- 23:19Speaker 1: you've been diagnosed with um oak triositis and oristriosis is
- 23:24Speaker 1: actually a fungus that comes out of South America. And
- 23:28Speaker 1: you have no activity whatsoever around your navel. It's otriositis, sir.
- 23:37Speaker 1: And what what that is is actually you're you're if
- 23:41Speaker 1: you haven't had it yet, you say you haven't had
- 23:42Speaker 1: any activity. There's gonna be like a small little tree
- 23:46Speaker 1: that's gonna be growing from your navel, and it gets
- 23:49Speaker 1: about six inches long and it probably bears about probably
- 23:52Speaker 1: about twenty five to thirty leaves on it, but it's
- 23:54Speaker 1: very small. You see a tree gonna be growing out
- 23:58Speaker 1: my name, It's to be a small tree. And Uh,
- 24:02Speaker 1: what's gonna happen is I'm gonna have to get you
- 24:04Speaker 1: to come back in probably in the next month. We're
- 24:06Speaker 1: gonna need you to come in so we can check
- 24:07Speaker 1: it out. But it's got to grow its fullest potential
- 24:10Speaker 1: before we can actually do anything to it. Nah, I
- 24:12Speaker 1: can't come in and on money. I got to come
- 24:14Speaker 1: in today, man, somebody got to we we get just
- 24:18Speaker 1: trying to resolve. Man, I'm tryna get married. Man. Well,
- 24:21Speaker 1: we can't. It has to grow its fullest potential, sir.
- 24:24Speaker 1: And the full term is actually like about four weeks
- 24:27Speaker 1: before we can actual man. I'm not waiting for those
- 24:29Speaker 1: four weeks. Man. Somebody got to come tell me something, right, Nah, Man,
- 24:32Speaker 1: I ain't gonna go married. Man. Have to fly to time,
- 24:35Speaker 1: man and have something going out of my neighbor. Man.
- 24:37Speaker 1: Y'all going crazy, man, sir, Oa Triosa. This is something
- 24:40Speaker 1: that's very rare. We're actually getting this assignment from overseas
- 24:44Speaker 1: in South America on how to treat this. Man. I
- 24:46Speaker 1: don't give it down. Where is it? Man? Somebody's gonna
- 24:48Speaker 1: have to come give me some some help, right nah, Man,
- 24:51Speaker 1: I'm gonna get ready to get married. Man, I'm not
- 24:53Speaker 1: gonna be putting up with it. Man, Somebody in this
- 24:55Speaker 1: office main't got to come down in do something for me. Man,
- 24:58Speaker 1: And what you say, you said I could cut it
- 25:00Speaker 1: out myself. So the best I can do is probably
- 25:02Speaker 1: trim it a bit, you know, and maybe knock a
- 25:04Speaker 1: few leaves off. But I cannot touch the full stock
- 25:07Speaker 1: at all. Man. You can cut this day do something
- 25:11Speaker 1: if you cut it right now, you cannot, sir. If
- 25:15Speaker 1: you cut it, there's a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're
- 25:17Speaker 1: gonna really create a bigger problem than what you have already. Man,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm trying to get this dot. Man. You didn't tell me.
- 25:24Speaker 1: Ain't nobody never I've dried on there and get this
- 25:27Speaker 1: put man. I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man,
- 25:31Speaker 1: we're gonna fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can
- 25:34Speaker 1: do this for me. Pull so you cannot pull it out,
- 25:39Speaker 1: You're gonna create, good Man, You're gonna create a bigger
- 25:43Speaker 1: problem if you try to pull it out. Sorry, problems
- 25:45Speaker 1: already out. I'm trying to get this problem. Man, give
- 25:49Speaker 1: me tell me a big hospital. Ain't nowt hit me
- 25:53Speaker 1: you want me to do that? Man, It's not something man.
- 25:55Speaker 1: I poke out of my summer and you're telling me
- 25:58Speaker 1: it ain't you can do. Man, sir, Oak triositis is
- 26:01Speaker 1: not something that we treat all the time. Like I said,
- 26:03Speaker 1: it hails from South America, so we got I don't
- 26:05Speaker 1: give a from Great Britain. Somebody for me to come
- 26:11Speaker 1: down and help me, poor man, Sir. I understand what
- 26:14Speaker 1: you're going through, but we have to let it grow.
- 26:16Speaker 1: It's full term, which is four weeks, sir, the full
- 26:19Speaker 1: root of it having to grow. Man, I ain't something
- 26:22Speaker 1: whoa man, I'm going to go down right, nah Man,
- 26:25Speaker 1: y'all gonna have to do something. Man, Sure, there's nothing
- 26:27Speaker 1: we can do. We can probably trim it a little bit.
- 26:30Speaker 1: The trim get some training so this man do something. Sir.
- 26:35Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do at this point but sit
- 26:37Speaker 1: back and wait and let it grow. It's full term, Okay.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Can we get you doing the waiting? Man? Somebody helped me, right,
- 26:43Speaker 1: nah man, Sir. Can we get an appointment for you
- 26:46Speaker 1: in the next four to five weeks and we do that.
- 26:47Speaker 1: Now you got to get a pointment for me to day.
- 26:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna give madder. Man, I'm gonna fly to Jamaica. Now,
- 26:53Speaker 1: I can't have them sticking out of me. I can't
- 26:55Speaker 1: see it. The apport. Man, you're going embarrass me like
- 26:58Speaker 1: that man after got out my neighbor. Sir, I understand it,
- 27:03Speaker 1: and like I said, oatriositis is very rare, and it's
- 27:06Speaker 1: it's something that we haven't treated that many times here
- 27:08Speaker 1: in the States, but overseas or the message that we're
- 27:10Speaker 1: getting is that we need to let it grow. It's
- 27:12Speaker 1: full term me. Ain't nobody in the Milicans got what man,
- 27:19Speaker 1: it's oatriositis, sir, So I get it. If nobody else
- 27:24Speaker 1: got it, Sir, I could not believe that you were
- 27:26Speaker 1: coming up with oatriositis here in the States. It's it's
- 27:29Speaker 1: something very rarely seen here. There's been two people in
- 27:32Speaker 1: the past has been diagnosed with this and they actually
- 27:34Speaker 1: passed away. So now you tell them dive and you're
- 27:39Speaker 1: gonna till me three weeks. Man, I'm coming down that
- 27:42Speaker 1: a day. Man, somebody could do something for me, sir.
- 27:44Speaker 1: There's nothing that we can do today until four to
- 27:47Speaker 1: five weeks or I got to get married. I'm fine
- 27:51Speaker 1: to Jamaica, Man, I said, Man, I'm hearing what you're saying,
- 27:55Speaker 1: but I can't do anything if you don't see the
- 27:58Speaker 1: tree already coming out of the navel. Yeah, somebody got
- 28:02Speaker 1: to do something. Man. Now I'm saying what you want
- 28:05Speaker 1: me to do. Man, I don't know what I want
- 28:07Speaker 1: you to do, sir, but I have one more thing
- 28:09Speaker 1: I can tell you what you got to say. Man, Oh,
- 28:12Speaker 1: you're listening. I'm listening to you. Man. This is nephew
- 28:15Speaker 1: Timmy from the Steve Harpin Morning Show. You just got
- 28:17Speaker 1: pranked by your boy, Earl. Man. You gotta be kid, Damn,
- 28:26Speaker 1: I'm protected out my wig. Man, you too, lift you
- 28:31Speaker 1: Tommy Man, Man, y'all he'll be going crazy here. Man,
- 28:36Speaker 1: I'm looking at all of my damn neighbor things. The
- 28:38Speaker 1: truth Fella, go out this man. I'm on Man, No,
- 28:42Speaker 1: you ain't on right now. Man, I'm already never to
- 28:46Speaker 1: get married in two weeks. Man, Hey, Man, I got
- 28:51Speaker 1: one more thing to ask you, Marvin Man, what is
- 28:54Speaker 1: the baddest I'm talking about the baddest radio show in
- 28:57Speaker 1: the land, Steve Harvard Morning Show. If you're listening your
- 29:03Speaker 1: answers out the wed Yeah you out. That's so creosty
- 29:13Speaker 1: for Carla right there, shirt, I feel better, Carla. That's
- 29:16Speaker 1: his favorite one. Yeah, your answers the weed. You understand
- 29:21Speaker 1: that you got the weed. Kleen Texas. The Nephew is
- 29:24Speaker 1: coming to town, Baby, February fourteen, fifteenth, and sixteenth twice

- 29:40Speaker 1: back to won't do veterans, West Palm Beach, Florida. I
- 29:43Speaker 1: will be there February twenty second, twenty third, and twenty

- 29:51Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, Miss Anne
- 29:53Speaker 1: will be here with our national news and entertainment news.
- 29:56Speaker 1: I'll tell you that Rihanna has been up to something.
- 29:59Speaker 1: I'll tell you what that is. And I have some
- 30:01Speaker 1: sad news about a legendary soap opera star that's all
- 30:04Speaker 1: coming up right after this you're listening to show, all right,
- 30:11Speaker 1: Donald Trump, our president has accepted newly sworn in House
- 30:14Speaker 1: Speaker Nancy Pelosi's updated invitation to address a joint session
- 30:19Speaker 1: of Congress. That'll be tonight at nine pm Eastern. It'll
- 30:23Speaker 1: be Trump's second State of the Union address, where he
- 30:26Speaker 1: will lay out his agenda for his third year in office.
- 30:30Speaker 1: Although Trump has reopened the government fully, that continued standoff
- 30:34Speaker 1: about border wall funding goes on, and we'll play a
- 30:38Speaker 1: big part in his speech. Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy
- 30:42Speaker 1: Abrams will be giving the Democratic rebuttal to mister Trump's address.
- 30:48Speaker 1: That's good news. I'm sure she'll have a lot to say.
- 30:50Speaker 1: And entertainment news. We're excited about our girl Rihanna. She
- 30:54Speaker 1: has a brand new album on the horizon. A studio
- 30:57Speaker 1: producer confirmed to US Weekly that yes, Rihanna has about
- 31:01Speaker 1: five hundred new songs for this project, but of course
- 31:05Speaker 1: it's only one album, so they'll probably only choose about ten,
- 31:09Speaker 1: so she'll have four ninety left over four hundred, five
- 31:12Speaker 1: hundred new songs. That's like Prince Territory, right, I mean
- 31:18Speaker 1: that must be five hundred people have submitted songs. Well
- 31:23Speaker 1: it's just for her. Yeah, yeah, that's a lot, and
- 31:26Speaker 1: she's they're only picking ten, you know how albums go.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Also in sad news, this is really sad news for
- 31:33Speaker 1: Young and the Restless bands actor Christoph Saint John. He
- 31:38Speaker 1: has died. Christoph played the role of Neil Winters on
- 31:41Speaker 1: Young and the Restless. He was in that role since
- 31:44Speaker 1: nineteen ninety one. It was a role that earned him
- 31:47Speaker 1: ten in Double ACP Image Awards. Law enforcement sources reported
- 31:52Speaker 1: that one of Christoph's friends went to check on him
- 31:55Speaker 1: at his home in the San Fernando Valley of in
- 31:59Speaker 1: a Los Angelist and found his body. Paramedics pronounced Christoph
- 32:03Speaker 1: dead on the scene. Yeah you remember him, Yeah, pronounced
- 32:07Speaker 1: him dead on the scene and reported that there was
- 32:09Speaker 1: no sign of foul play, but one four says that
- 32:12Speaker 1: alcohol may have played a role. So I don't know,
- 32:17Speaker 1: all right, A long time, Yeah, a long time. So
- 32:22Speaker 1: we're just you know, Christoph and condolences to his family
- 32:27Speaker 1: Rest in peace. I remember, you know what I'm I'm
- 32:32Speaker 1: pretty sure I met him backstage somewhere. Man introduced a
- 32:36Speaker 1: lot of work as a presenter somewhere. Oh wow, you know,
- 32:40Speaker 1: we didn't know each other well at all, but I
- 32:42Speaker 1: do remember making contact with him and so at an
- 32:45Speaker 1: award show, I introduced him or something like that. Okay,
- 32:49Speaker 1: that's sad man. Yeah, it really is, It really really is.
- 32:53Speaker 1: You never think about it. I remember when I used
- 32:55Speaker 1: to watch Young and the Restless. He and Shamar Moore
- 32:59Speaker 1: played brother's on that show, and he just got engaged
- 33:02Speaker 1: in August. Who we understand, hey and christ condolences goes
- 33:07Speaker 1: out to his family. Absolutely. And on another note, A
- 33:10Speaker 1: I wasn't you know, we were kind of touched on
- 33:12Speaker 1: it yesterday. I wasn't aware of any super Bowl boycott.
- 33:18Speaker 1: Did you all know about a super Bowl boycott in
- 33:22Speaker 1: New Orleans? There was one? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah they
- 33:26Speaker 1: have Yeah, I know that one. I know that. Rihanna
- 33:29Speaker 1: and Cardi B said they weren't performing at the super
- 33:32Speaker 1: Bowl to support college capital. Right when they initially asked them,
- 33:36Speaker 1: they turned they turned the half down halftime performance down right.
- 33:40Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I'm not, I'm not. I didn't know.
- 33:43Speaker 1: I didn't know of any organized boycott. No, I don't
- 33:47Speaker 1: think anything organized. No, people were talking about it. Yes,
- 33:52Speaker 1: the whole French quarter did a black out just to
- 33:54Speaker 1: let you know, oh wow, and you really like boycott
- 33:59Speaker 1: in this game? Wouldn't have nobody customer to see man
- 34:05Speaker 1: the lowest scoring game in the history of the Super Bowl. No, no, no,
- 34:09Speaker 1: let's quit calling it that the worst game we've ever
- 34:11Speaker 1: seen played in the worst Wow. No, I've never seen
- 34:15Speaker 1: the worst game. Well, uh, Steve, let's go to National
- 34:21Speaker 1: News with miss Anne. Please, ladies and gentlemen, without further
- 34:24Speaker 1: a due miss Anne trip, Thank you very much everybody.
- 34:28Speaker 1: In good morning. President Trump makes his State of the
- 34:30Speaker 1: Union speech, as Shirley said in it tonight, it's around
- 34:33Speaker 1: nine o'clock by the way Eastern. He's expected to lay
- 34:36Speaker 1: out his case again for his five and a half
- 34:38Speaker 1: billion dollars with a b vorder wall. Now right now,
- 34:40Speaker 1: the White House and Congressional Democrats remain far apart on
- 34:43Speaker 1: water security funding, and there's no indication that they're going
- 34:45Speaker 1: to get any closer to a compromise by the new
- 34:47Speaker 1: shutdown or emergency declaration deadline, which is February fifteen fast approaching.
- 34:52Speaker 1: And yes, Georgia Stacy Abrams has been selected to deliver
- 34:56Speaker 1: the Democratic rebuttal to the speech. Abrams, the black woman
- 34:59Speaker 1: who ran in all almost won the governorship of the
- 35:01Speaker 1: Peach State last November is considered a rising star in
- 35:04Speaker 1: the Democratic Party. Still no resolution in the situation involving
- 35:08Speaker 1: Virginia Governor Ralph Northam and that the unearthed medical school
- 35:12Speaker 1: yearbook page photo. But how Speaker Kirk Cox, who's a Republican,
- 35:16Speaker 1: says that nobody's actually thinking of throwing north amount of
- 35:19Speaker 1: office at this point. Impeachment. That's a very high standard.
- 35:23Speaker 1: So I think that's why we have called for the
- 35:25Speaker 1: resign nation. We hope that's what the governor does. I
- 35:28Speaker 1: think that would obviously be less paying for everyone. Well,
- 35:31Speaker 1: so far, Northern says he will not step down, but
- 35:33Speaker 1: just in case he does, his Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax,
- 35:36Speaker 1: would lead the state House. And Justin Fairfax happens to
- 35:39Speaker 1: be an African American, by the way, And he is
- 35:41Speaker 1: really slamming the Washington Post this morning because they're printing
- 35:44Speaker 1: a story and allegation from the same right wing website
- 35:48Speaker 1: that unearthed that photo claiming that Fairfax sexually assaulted a
- 35:52Speaker 1: woman in a few years back in the Democratic National Convention.
- 35:55Speaker 1: He says that's lie and that he's very very upset
- 35:58Speaker 1: that the Washington Posts printed at The Washington does admit
- 36:00Speaker 1: in the article apparently that they have not been able
- 36:03Speaker 1: to verify that allegation. The campaign manager of Northern's challenging
- 36:07Speaker 1: me while it seems mifted at the Republican Governor's Association,
- 36:10Speaker 1: Ed Gillespie lost, his campaign manager tells Fox News that
- 36:13Speaker 1: the Republican Governors Association was responsible for all that so
- 36:17Speaker 1: called opposition research, you know, digging up dirt on people,
- 36:20Speaker 1: and one is allowed how that racist snapshot of Northern
- 36:22Speaker 1: wasn't turned up by them last year during that election.
- 36:27Speaker 1: Automaker General Motors has reportedly begun handing out pink slips
- 36:30Speaker 1: to about four thousand salaried workers as part of a
- 36:33Speaker 1: restructuring of the company. GM reportedly slashing jobs and its
- 36:36Speaker 1: information technology units in Texas and Michigan, Arizona and Georgia.
- 36:40Speaker 1: And I hate to end this on a sad note,
- 36:43Speaker 1: but I have to. Yes, Christophe Saint John is dead.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Officials say that the body of the fifty two year
- 36:47Speaker 1: old actor who played Neil Winters on The Young and
- 36:50Speaker 1: the Restless discovered at his California home. No official cause
- 36:53Speaker 1: of death mentioned, but TMZ reports that alcohol might have
- 36:56Speaker 1: been involved. Saint John's twenty four year old son, Julian,
- 36:59Speaker 1: committed suicide in twenty fourteen. He's been grieving ever since.
- 37:02Speaker 1: Down back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening
- 37:06Speaker 1: to show, all right, Steve, it is time for asked Steve.
- 37:11Speaker 1: Here's a question from a listener. It says, Steve, I've
- 37:14Speaker 1: been dating a guy for six months and we are
- 37:16Speaker 1: both very involved in our church. Now, when we first met,
- 37:21Speaker 1: I told him that I was practicing celibacy and he
- 37:24Speaker 1: was okay with it. Now he is ready to have
- 37:26Speaker 1: sex and I'm not. My friends tell me I'm stupid
- 37:29Speaker 1: and I'm going to lose a good man. Am I
- 37:32Speaker 1: really being stupid? Steve? Well, you're not being stupid, of
- 37:36Speaker 1: course not. Those are your values and morals and you
- 37:39Speaker 1: you make decisions for your life what you think is
- 37:41Speaker 1: the best. The majority of your friends is calling you stupid.
- 37:45Speaker 1: Are they in a committed relationship? Are they married? You know?
- 37:48Speaker 1: How do they know what's right for you? And what
- 37:51Speaker 1: you decide to do is the right thing? That you
- 37:53Speaker 1: and this dude go to the same church and you
- 37:55Speaker 1: both agreed. But now let's just have a real conversation here.
- 38:00Speaker 1: It is easier to say you're gonna wait for marriage
- 38:04Speaker 1: than it actually is to wait for marriage. It is,
- 38:08Speaker 1: especially if you're dating on a regular basis. Yes, and
- 38:12Speaker 1: especially if you've had sex befoult, yes, hard to say
- 38:17Speaker 1: no to that. What are we waiting? It ain't good
- 38:21Speaker 1: when we get to yeah, yeah, no, no, it's not.
- 38:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry y'all to stay out there. I'm just telling you,
- 38:34Speaker 1: the young lady, that is hard to do that. It
- 38:41Speaker 1: is that it is, And the guy who said he
- 38:44Speaker 1: could do it, he threw. He threw now, And I'm
- 38:49Speaker 1: not mad at the guy for wanting you, because that's
- 38:53Speaker 1: that's the human nature of it. So you wouldn't even
- 38:58Speaker 1: need to sit down and call to have talks. Now.
- 39:02Speaker 1: I've heard other people say, you know, there are other
- 39:06Speaker 1: things y'all could do, and I don't know what that is.
- 39:11Speaker 1: But wait, what, Steve, what did you just say? I said,
- 39:14Speaker 1: I've heard people say that's other things y'all can do.
- 39:18Speaker 1: I don't know what that is. You didn't hear that
- 39:20Speaker 1: from Steve. That won't lead to having sex some kind
- 39:25Speaker 1: of way. I just said. I have heard people say,
- 39:29Speaker 1: that's other things that two people can do instead of
- 39:32Speaker 1: having sex. Now, based on the sex that I've had,
- 39:36Speaker 1: I can think of no replacement. All right, look, we
- 39:43Speaker 1: gotta go coming up at thirty four, None of this foolishness.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Thirty four after Jay's gonna have some comedy roulette for us,
- 39:50Speaker 1: and that is your favorite thing, Steve. Right after this,
- 39:55Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 40:01Speaker 1: it is time for comedy roulette. Jay, please do the
- 40:04Speaker 1: honors and explain. Go ahead, look on his face, all right, priceless,
- 40:12Speaker 1: I know right. You gotta do it, though anything, do
- 40:19Speaker 1: you take four subjects? Because we're all comedians, we can
- 40:22Speaker 1: do this. You put those four subjects, one at a
- 40:24Speaker 1: time on a wheel that goes around and around. When
- 40:28Speaker 1: that wheel spins round and around and around, where that
- 40:31Speaker 1: wheel stops. Because we're all comedians, will do the damn thing.
- 40:38Speaker 1: All right, Here we go with the topics. Things you
- 40:42Speaker 1: hide in the fridge from other people, all right. Lies

- 45:35Speaker 1: all right? What's up? Well, listen, we're doing some testing
- 45:38Speaker 1: in your neighborhood. We're trying to make sure we don't
- 45:40Speaker 1: have to actually shut the power down out there, and
- 45:44Speaker 1: we're calling around quite a few people in your neighborhood,
- 45:47Speaker 1: running some tests on individual homes and making sure the
- 45:50Speaker 1: electricity is running correctly. Can I get you to do
- 45:53Speaker 1: a few things swarm and see and the quicker we
- 45:56Speaker 1: get through with this, sir, and as possibility, we won't
- 45:58Speaker 1: have to turn your power off. But all I know
- 46:00Speaker 1: you don't want us to have to come out and
- 46:02Speaker 1: turn power off. And you got stuff in your refrigerator
- 46:05Speaker 1: that can spoil and things like that. So we want
- 46:07Speaker 1: to try to get this done and hopefully the power
- 46:09Speaker 1: with the with the test that we run, it'll it'll
- 46:11Speaker 1: run correctly and we won't have to do anything. Okay,
- 46:14Speaker 1: I don't know about an electricity though, you know what
- 46:15Speaker 1: I'm saying, So no, no, no, I understand that. Don't
- 46:17Speaker 1: worry about that. All right, here's what I need you
- 46:19Speaker 1: to do. Now. How big is your house? What do
- 46:21Speaker 1: you how many bedrooms? You got four bedrooms? Now you
- 46:25Speaker 1: have upstairs downstairs? It's too short, okay, all right, so
- 46:29Speaker 1: here's what we need to do. Um, if you can't,
- 46:32Speaker 1: ain't gonna take loan though, right, I got it, because
- 46:34Speaker 1: I'm in a hurry. Then ain't gonna have a lot
- 46:35Speaker 1: of time. No, no, no, this this, this, this, this
- 46:37Speaker 1: won't take long at all. So can I get you
- 46:40Speaker 1: to take your breaker and shut down everything upstairs and
- 46:43Speaker 1: we're gonna run a test on the stuff downstairs right now.
- 46:46Speaker 1: It'll be real quick, all right, just shut just shut
- 46:49Speaker 1: everything off. I want you to keep the downstairs open
- 46:51Speaker 1: and keep that to the weekness so we can run
- 46:53Speaker 1: our tests on this thing. All right, everything's shut, everything's down. Okay.
- 46:58Speaker 1: You you turned off everything. I just turned off all
- 47:00Speaker 1: the switches. Okay. Here's what I need you to do.

- 47:49Speaker 1: out there and turn your power off. And I don't
- 47:51Speaker 1: want to do that. You got a lot of food
- 47:52Speaker 1: in your fridge, I'm sure, right, all right, all right,
- 47:56Speaker 1: I look it's on microwaves zone TV zones. Okay, now
- 48:00Speaker 1: open your refrige. Man, the electricity works downstairs. Okay, but
- 48:05Speaker 1: listen now, I know, but what we gotta do is
- 48:07Speaker 1: we gotta make sure that this stuff isn't overpower. Now.
- 48:10Speaker 1: Can you open your refrigerator? Yeah? Yeah, man, do you
- 48:14Speaker 1: see the button that actually has you can turn on?
- 48:19Speaker 1: You can push it in the lighter go out. You
- 48:20Speaker 1: know what I'm talking about. Come on, man, you ain't
- 48:22Speaker 1: got nobody to just be able to check something outside. Man,
- 48:25Speaker 1: I mean I'm in the fridge. I understand. But push
- 48:28Speaker 1: that button five times for him and see what it does.
- 48:31Speaker 1: What the light button? Yeah, push that light button five times?

- 49:56Speaker 1: turn your power off. And I know you got someone
- 49:58Speaker 1: to go turn my power off. You're supposed to making

- 50:05Speaker 1: I gotta blender, man, I gotta blender. I got a TV,
- 50:08Speaker 1: I got a refrigerator. And they all worked the Twitter
- 50:11Speaker 1: it works, everything worked all right. What I want you
- 50:14Speaker 1: to do is get this blender and we'll just throw
- 50:16Speaker 1: you a few cues to eyes or something there and
- 50:18Speaker 1: turn that thing on for him. Come on, man, we're

- 50:41Speaker 1: to do anything. Man, I gotta get to work. I understand.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I just listen to a minute. A minute got too

- 50:51Speaker 1: that job. Well, I could just call and have people
- 50:53Speaker 1: go through the damn house playing scavenger hunt. I gotta
- 50:55Speaker 1: get to work. Okay, now, listen, Quincy, one last thing.
- 50:58Speaker 1: Are you able to shut that breaker? Put that breaker

- 54:28Speaker 1: you here. It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject, Could her
- 54:31Speaker 1: X be my next? Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a single,
- 54:35Speaker 1: thirty eight year old female and I like dating older gentlemen.
- 54:40Speaker 1: I'm open to online dating and I've met some nice
- 54:44Speaker 1: men on Facebook, so I often look at men's profiles
- 54:48Speaker 1: and meet them that way. A handsome man in another
- 54:51Speaker 1: city caught my eye and I send him a message.
- 54:54Speaker 1: We chatted back and forth and found out that we
- 54:57Speaker 1: have a lot in common, even though he is twelve
- 55:00Speaker 1: years older than me. When we first started video chatting,
- 55:03Speaker 1: I thought that he looked familiar and we're from the
- 55:06Speaker 1: same city, so I just figured our paths cross somehow
- 55:10Speaker 1: in the past. After we did our video chats for
- 55:13Speaker 1: about a month, I mentioned that he looked very familiar,
- 55:16Speaker 1: but I couldn't place him. He told me where he
- 55:19Speaker 1: used to hang out and what his nickname is. My
- 55:22Speaker 1: face dropped and I got quiet. He asked me if
- 55:26Speaker 1: I had really figured out if I had finally figured
- 55:29Speaker 1: out who he was yes, I knew exactly who he is.
- 55:35Speaker 1: He is my sister's ex boyfriend. He said he knew
- 55:39Speaker 1: who I was all the time, the whole time, and
- 55:42Speaker 1: was just waiting for me to figure out who he was.
- 55:45Speaker 1: He said he wanted to see if I was going
- 55:47Speaker 1: to be a grown woman about things and continue to
- 55:50Speaker 1: chat with him, or if I was going to run
- 55:52Speaker 1: away from something that could be so good for both
- 55:55Speaker 1: of us. Even though he and my sister dated fifteen
- 55:59Speaker 1: years ago, I still stop communicating with him. I told
- 56:03Speaker 1: my sister what had happened and exactly how it went down.
- 56:07Speaker 1: My sister told me to go ahead and talk to
- 56:09Speaker 1: the guy. I told her that I could not date
- 56:11Speaker 1: the same guy she dated. She told me that I
- 56:14Speaker 1: should at least see where things would go with this guy.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I do miss talking to him, but I'm still skeptical.
- 56:21Speaker 1: What do you think? Could her ex be my next? Please? Help? Yeah?
- 56:29Speaker 1: M M, it's right. You know. There is such thing
- 56:33Speaker 1: as a girlfriend code. All women know this. It's an unwritten,
- 56:37Speaker 1: unspoken rule where friends and sisters and things. You know.
- 56:42Speaker 1: You don't date your your friends or your sisters ex's.
- 56:46Speaker 1: It's just not something you do. You just don't do it.
- 56:51Speaker 1: It's it's weird. I'm a little torn here because your
- 56:55Speaker 1: sister doesn't seem to adhere to the girlfriend code. She's
- 56:59Speaker 1: a rare breed among women, because most women would not
- 57:03Speaker 1: want you to go anywhere near their ex, husband, ex boyfriend,
- 57:07Speaker 1: any of that. So it's interesting that she said you
- 57:11Speaker 1: should hang in there and see where this date goes.
- 57:14Speaker 1: It's also interesting that her ex is onto you and
- 57:20Speaker 1: knew who you were and wanted to talk to you
- 57:23Speaker 1: and was kind of pursuing you and things like that.
- 57:26Speaker 1: That's interesting. So maybe he was he liked you, you know,
- 57:31Speaker 1: the entire time, which is kind of crazy if he
- 57:34Speaker 1: was dating your sister. Yeah, it was fifteen years ago. Yes,
- 57:37Speaker 1: it was fifteen years ago. There's still that girlfriend code
- 57:41Speaker 1: out there. Now. If you do date this guy and
- 57:43Speaker 1: it doesn't work out, are you and your sister still
- 57:46Speaker 1: gonna be tight and cool and everything, or you know,
- 57:49Speaker 1: is she gonna start acting funny, you know, feeling some
- 57:52Speaker 1: kind of way about this. It doesn't seem like it
- 57:55Speaker 1: in this letter, but people change, especially if you and
- 57:57Speaker 1: her ex get really tight and you know, you guys
- 58:01Speaker 1: marry or something like that could happen. So I don't know.
- 58:04Speaker 1: This is a tough one. I don't know if I
- 58:06Speaker 1: would do this even if I did have my sister's blessing. Steve,
- 58:12Speaker 1: I don't care for this letter because it don't really
- 58:17Speaker 1: mean nothing. Could her ask be my next thing? You're
- 58:20Speaker 1: on line talking to this dude sitting out the thing
- 58:22Speaker 1: about this girl. I'm a little concerned about it because
- 58:25Speaker 1: you know, she's a thirty eight year old female and
- 58:28Speaker 1: she likes dating older gentleman. But maybe she just wants
- 58:32Speaker 1: because she ain't. She ain't really says she's looking for nothing.
- 58:36Speaker 1: I like dating older gentleman. I'm open to online dating.
- 58:41Speaker 1: I met some nice men on Facebook, so I look
- 58:45Speaker 1: at me as profiles and meet them that way. You know,
- 58:49Speaker 1: that's she just just seems to be up and it
- 58:52Speaker 1: ain't nothing wrong with it. Maybe that's your life. She's
- 58:55Speaker 1: just a serial data to me, so trying to help
- 58:58Speaker 1: her get hooked up don't really seem to be the
- 59:00Speaker 1: objective in this letter. A handsome man and another city
- 59:04Speaker 1: called my Eye. Just send him a message. We chatted
- 59:07Speaker 1: back and forth, found out that we have a lot
- 59:09Speaker 1: of incoming, even though he's twelve years older than me.
- 59:12Speaker 1: When we first started video chatting. I thought he looked familiar.
- 59:17Speaker 1: Were from the same city, so I just figured out
- 59:19Speaker 1: our pass crossed somewhere in the pass. After we did
- 59:21Speaker 1: our video chats for about a month, I mentioned that
- 59:24Speaker 1: he looked familiar to you and you couldn't place it.
- 59:27Speaker 1: Then he told me so to hang out and his
- 59:30Speaker 1: nickname is my face dropped and I got quiet, So
- 59:33Speaker 1: he said, have you finally figured out who I am?
- 59:37Speaker 1: And I knew exactly who he is. He was my
- 59:40Speaker 1: sister's ex boyfriend. Now the dude knew who you were
- 59:44Speaker 1: right away, but he wanted to see how long this
- 59:47Speaker 1: game did He go to pimp move though. He wanted
- 59:50Speaker 1: to see if I was going to be a grown
- 59:52Speaker 1: woman about things and continue to chat with him, or
- 59:56Speaker 1: if I was going to run away from something that
- 59:58Speaker 1: could be so good for both of us. Oh, dog,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: you're for real, lady, you don't know what game is,
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: because if you don't think that's a game, lie, I
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: just wanted to see if you was gonna be a
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: grown woman about things. See here's what's happening. He's an
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: older man. Your sister was older fifteen years ago. You
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: was what how was you for twenty three twenty three.
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: Sister was what maybe thirty four, thirty five, something like that.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: They was probably around the same age. I was gonna
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: see if you was gonna be a grown woman about
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: things and continue to chat me or run away from
- 1:00:43Speaker 1: something that could be good for both of us? What
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: was gonna be good for both of y'all? He don't
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: want really nothing from you but one thing, because you
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: ain't told him you want nothing from him but one thing?
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: You know why? Because you were serial data. This just
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: fitting to be another night man you the met on Facebook,
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: then slept with another relationship, and he gonna leave you
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: to y'all, will not come back? Yeah, okay, okay, all right,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: John commercials in the Super Bowl too. Yeah, but I'm
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: let me tell you this what Well, well, when we're
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: going back, I'm and tell you the rest of it.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: But this is a setup. This is going nowhere. It
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: has no intentions. But aren't you shocked at the sister though? Well,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna get to that, So let's get back. I'm
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: gonna tell you why too. All right, all right, we're
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: gonna have part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: twenty three after the hour. Today's Strawberry letter subject, could
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: her X be my next? All right, we'll have that
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: coming up right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter sub could her X be
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: my next? Wow? Wow? Yeah? Well, like I said in
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: the letter, this woman is online just dating people randomly.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Look like a seal dated to me ends up meeting
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: this gown online that used to date her sister. It
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: took her month or so to figure it out, but
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: finally she thought she recognized him. Then when he said
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: she asked him his nickname, she said that and where
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: he lives? She got quiet. He said, have you finally
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: figured out who I am? And she said yes. He
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: said I knew who you were from the beginning, but
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I wanted to see if you was gonna be a
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: grown woman about things and continue to chat with me,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: or if you was going to run away from something
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: that could be so good for both of us. Boy
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: in the world that says game recognized game, I Recknin's game.
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: This is a cold line he didn't used on you. First,
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: he challenged you to be grown up, Then he bated
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: you with something that could be so good for the
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: both of us. But since you ain't never established what
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: you really want with none of these men, because you
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: are serial daily data and you like dating older men,
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: so you're just like dating. So now he figured it's
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: gonna be another day he gonna hit it and be gone. Wow,
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: Now you said, even though he and my sister dated
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: fifteen years ago, I still stopped communicating with him. I
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: told my sister what had happened, So you and your
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: sister got good relationship, and exactly how I went down.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: My sister told me to go ahead and talk to
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: the guy. I told her I couldn't date the same
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: guy she dated. She told me I should at least
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: see where things were gonna go with this guy, because
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: your sister know you're crazy. Your sister know you're a
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: serial data, and you're sister hoping something just stick for you.
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Because your sister had moved on, she got her life.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: It's probably a nice little bowl and everything, but she
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: wants you to have a great life. So she told
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: you to go ahead. Then here you go, because you're
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: going so you just waiting on me, and surely give
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: you to go ahead because this is what you say.
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: I do miss talking to you. Yeah, but I'm still skeptical.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: What's your skeptical about? What do you think? Could her
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: ex be my next it's going to be according to you,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: your sister that gave you the green Like you just said,
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: you do miss talking to him, and he didn't challenge you.
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: This could be something good for the both of us.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: But he ain't said what good he talking about? Do this? Man?
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: Won't you? Or do he just wants something from you?
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: If you take your time, you can figure out the
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: answer to them two questions. But if you're gonna rush
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: back in and just going to let him do what
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: he want to do, then you're not gonna know. And
- 1:04:53Speaker 1: that's what I'm saying to you. Now here's some danger
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: to this right here. I can't imagine this happening with
- 1:05:02Speaker 1: me and my brother. I got an older brother. I'm
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: dating some woman he used to date, and I called
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: my brother, go hey, bro, I'm dating this good ah man,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: go ahead. See. But now suppose my brother called me
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: up every nineteen to check on me, how me and
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: her doing? But he got advice with it though, h hey, man,
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: be careful. You know she don't like chicken. I don't
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: like chick. She don't like chicken. You know, just a
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: little step, a little stuff like that. Hey, man, let
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: me tell you something. Don't mess round, get yourself slap.
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: I'm just saying. I'm just saying, don't mess round, get
- 1:05:47Speaker 1: yourself slap. Oh she's slapping people. Yeah, she getting mad.
- 1:05:52Speaker 1: She bust your upside your damn here. Okay, just calling
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: with all kind inviting a little bro or you wait
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: till she do this tea. Yeah, that's what happened. It's
- 1:06:14Speaker 1: too much. Knock it down, a little bro, knock it down.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Represent see how you see how you stack up a dog? Ass? Call?
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: Is she like big bro? A little bro? Back? Called
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: me back? Man, I don't get it. I don't get it.
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: I don't understand it. I couldn't do it. But you
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: know you're not me. You like dating older men, and
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: you're a serial dating. You don't want nothing, so you're
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: gonna probably end up seeing it. You know. So her
- 1:06:52Speaker 1: sister either really loves her really hates her. I can't
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: figure out which one. Go ahead. You have tried everything
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: going over there. I told you it's a reason I
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: ain't win him. Going over there and see for yourself.
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: Yeah it could be that, it really really could. But
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: he was just laying back, waiting for her to catch on.
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: You know. So you're right about the part with the
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: game and everything, you know, waiting. So my nickname goosey, Yeah, goose,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: you know, kind of like goose man. You know the
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: you know the Virginia governor. Huh oh oh that nickname?
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: Did they call him goose? They called me goose? Say
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: that was a stretch fore we got it? Yeah, I
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: know it was an obscure joke. Yeah, I really yeah.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You know, when you own the radio, sometimes they don't
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: all work. You know, they can't all make it over
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: the wall. Understand, some mom's out. Most of them do, yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: but some mom's out and that was out. You hear
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: the ball and they catch it at second base. Ain't
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: nobody had to even jump? So what should we tell
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: her to not do this? I mean, it only makes
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: suse not to do it. To do it? Should you know?
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: That's what she won't to do? Go ahead, yeah, I
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: mean of all the guys, so here's nothing gonna do it?
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: Do it well? What you don't want to hear, don't
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: do it? Do it well? Don't want what ja your
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: sister was better? You don't want to you evet back
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: in him. It's not a good look. I'm not a
- 1:08:47Speaker 1: good look. Yeah. Yeah, it could end badly. Yeah all right, Well,
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: if that's all we have, just don't do it. Don't
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: take someone. Your sister stated. Yeah, all right, guys, we
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: gotta get out of here. Leave your comments on today's
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter on Instagram at Steve Harvey f M. Coming

- 1:09:44Speaker 1: you can say is wtf. You kind of hear it,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: but you didn't hear You don't believe what you hear.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Don't believe, Yeah, you don't believe what you're so For instance,
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: like this, hey man, your number hit yesterday, but I

- 1:10:10Speaker 1: that number hit big yesterday. That man, I forgot my man.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: Oh how about this when you go to the dentist

- 1:12:13Speaker 1: a lot of money, but he left it all to
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: the cat. How about the cat? The pig got no

- 1:23:43Speaker 1: we'll be back of the Steve Harvey Morning This Man.
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: I'm coming, Man, I'm coming. You're listening Morning Show. A
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: record number of employees called out sick yesterday after the
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: New England Patriots won Super Bowl fifty three guys. Companies
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: reported an estimated seventeen point two million employees missing work
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: the day after the Super Bowl. All Right, Carla and Junior,
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: we had two of them. Yeah, when they told me
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: that them two wasn't here, but Tommy was here. We
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: all went what anyway? That resulted in the loss of
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: roughly four billion dollars in productivity. This is according to
- 1:24:36Speaker 1: the Super Bowl Fever Survey. This year marks the largest
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: anticipated day of Super Bowl related absenteeism since they began
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: tracking this phenomenon back in two thousand and five. Both
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: employees and their bosses continue to play hookey the day
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: after the big game. Well, it was the worst big game.
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: Help it was Yeah, the word big got me in
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: front of them. Big and super needs to be removed
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: from this. Yeah. This was a bowl game, Bowl game
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: forty three. They can stop na. Man. I was sitting there, man,
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: and so you know, I was in with a group
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: of people in this suite and the guy said this.
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: Lady said to me, isn't this exciting being here? I said,
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: you want my understand that. She said yeah, And I said, no,
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: it's really not as kind of boring to me. She said,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: oh my god, to feel the same way. I was
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: just trying to keep an upbeat at the time. Oh
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: my god, I feel the same way. I was just
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: trying to keep an upbeat. I was hoping you had
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: something to say. I said, no, I wasn't nothing born.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: This was not even cool. So I said, man, because
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: I would have rather had stayed. I don't want to go.
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: My wife has never been to the Super Bowl, so
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: who she wanted to go. Oh, that was nice of
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: you to do that for her. Yeah, you know, And
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: I took invited all my sons. Jason couldn't come because
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: he's sick. They had fifty yard line seats right behind
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: the team Wow, watching nothing went to say dad, but
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: I love you father, I love your father. Yeah, I
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: bet you too. That that was nice, Steve, that was
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: really nice. Yeah. And then my two oldest children, Brandon
- 1:26:26Speaker 1: Carly came to the Honors award the night before. Uh huh,
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: so that was really nice. You know. Yeah, you did
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: your thing on the NFL Honors. I don't know if
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: we've said it enough, but you're a good job. Yeah,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: you really did a good job, Steve. And you know
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: Temmy wants you to host the sp Awards. Yeah, so
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: this could be, you know, a step to that. That
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: could be your next level. No, no, no, no, no,
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: I have it. That's nothing for me. The NFL Honors
- 1:26:56Speaker 1: was greatness. Well, we're doing the asps when they ask
- 1:27:00Speaker 1: you boys, stop no, I mean if they asked me.
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: But you know, the NFL Owners was like the best
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: award show I've ever done because it was just like, man,
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: I knew all the guys dance. I'm a football fan, man,
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: and it seemed well organized. Who I like that, It
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: was smooth, It was the best rand show. Everything about
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: it was cool, man, Everything about it was cool. And
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: you love an excuse to put on a text, all right,
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: we'll be back, blue cheese. We'll be back with more
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this. You're
- 1:27:34Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, Donald Trump,
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: our president, has accepted newly sworn in House Speaker Nancy
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: Pelosi's updated invitation to address a joint session of Congress
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: that'll be tonight at nine pm Eastern. It'll be Trump's
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: second State of the Union address, where he will lay
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: out his agenda for his third year in office. Although
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: Trump has reopened the government fully, the continued standoff about
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: border wall funding goes on, and we'll play a big
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: part in his speech. Former Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacy Abrams
- 1:28:10Speaker 1: will be giving the Democratic rebuttal to mister Trump's address.
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: That's good news. I'm sure she'll have a lot to say.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: And entertainment news. We're excited about our girl Rihanna. She
- 1:28:21Speaker 1: has a brand new album on the horizon. A studio
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: producer confirmed to US Weekly that yes, Rihanna has about
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: five hundred new songs for this project, but of course
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: it's only one album, so they'll probably only choose about ten,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: so she'll have four ninety leftover. Four hundred, five hundred
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: new songs. That's like Brent's territory, right, I mean that
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: must be five hundred people have submitted songs. Well, it's
- 1:28:50Speaker 1: just for her. Yeah, Yeah, that's a lot, and she's
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: they're only picking ten, you know. Also in sad news,
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: this is really sad news for Young in the Wrestler
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: his fans actor Christoph Saint John, he has died. Christoph
- 1:29:05Speaker 1: played the role of Neil Winters on Young and the Restless.
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: He was in that role since nineteen ninety one. It
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: was a role that earned him ten in WACP Image Awards.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Law enforcement sources reported that one of Christoph's friends went
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: to check on him at his home in the San
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: Fernando Valley of Los Angeles and found his body. Paramedics
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: pronounced Christoph dead on the scene. Yeah you remember him, Yeah,
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: pronounced him dead on the scene, and reported that there
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: was no sign of foul play, but one four says
- 1:29:38Speaker 1: that alcohol may have played a role, So I don't know,
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: all right, yea A long time, yeah, a long time.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: And condolences to his family Rest in peace. That's sad, man, Yeah,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: it really is, it really really is. You never think
- 1:29:55Speaker 1: about it. I remember when I used to watch Young
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: and the Restless. He and Shamar Moore played brothers on
- 1:30:02Speaker 1: that show, and he just got engaged in August who
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: we understand hey and condolences goes out to his family absolutely,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: and on another note, he I wasn't you know, we
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: were kind of touched on it yesterday. I wasn't aware
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: of any super Bowl boycott. Did you all know about
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: a super Bowl boycott in New Orleans? There was one? Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:30:26Speaker 1: yeah they have Yeah, I know that. I know that.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: Rihanna and Cardi B said they weren't performing at the
- 1:30:33Speaker 1: super Bowl to support right when they initially asked them,
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: they turned they turned the half down halftime performance down right.
- 1:30:41Speaker 1: I mean, you know, I'm not. I'm not. I didn't know.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: I didn't know of any organized boycott. No, I don't
- 1:30:48Speaker 1: think any anything organized. People were talking about it. Yes,
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: Old French Quarter did a blackout just to let you know,
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: oh wow, and you really like one cotton. This game
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: wouldn't hurt nobody because to see man the lowest scoring
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: game in the history of the Super Bowl. No, no, no,
- 1:31:10Speaker 1: let's quit calling it that the worst game we've ever
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: seen played. Initially the worst Wow, No, I've never seen
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: the worst game. All right, guys, that's enough of this.
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: We are moving on. We're gonna come back with Steve's
- 1:31:24Speaker 1: closing remarks, last break of the day. We'll be back
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: at forty nine after the hour right after this you're
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: listening to show. All right, Steve, here we are, last
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: break of the day. It's been a good day. You
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: guys have really really clowned and really embarrassed me today. Okay, good,
- 1:31:45Speaker 1: so then that was a good day. Right, thank you.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: You're welcome. I hope you enjoyed it. We've got more.
- 1:31:52Speaker 1: But before we get out of here, Steve, you're going
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: to leave us with some enlightening closing remarks. Well, you know,
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: my remark today are just a reminder, as I have
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: to remind myself that the thing that you do have
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: full of complete control over is your mind. We've all
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: got to understand that part of it. Yeah. See, we've
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: all got to understand that part of it that you
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: have a say so in this matter and in this
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: coming year. What I'm trying to get everybody to just
- 1:32:37Speaker 1: be a constant reminder to you that you've got to
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: stay upbeat, you've got to stay appreciative and grateful and
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: thankful even in the midst of difficulties. See, that's a
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: hard part. But what but what will help you through
- 1:32:58Speaker 1: the difficulties is the realizing that you have recovered and
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: gotten through so many other previous challenges and disappointments and difficulties.
- 1:33:09Speaker 1: So in that what I try to do, and I'm
- 1:33:13Speaker 1: not always successful to everybody, I want you to understand
- 1:33:16Speaker 1: that I wish I had it mastered. But what I
- 1:33:19Speaker 1: try to do as often as I can is stay
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: in the positive light. I try to look at everything
- 1:33:26Speaker 1: that's happened to me with a beacon of light shining
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: on it, even when it looks dark, because the only
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: way out of darkness is through with light. You can't
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: come bat dark with more dark. So here it is
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: when haters attack you this year, if you are attack
- 1:33:44Speaker 1: them back with hate, it becomes a spend cycle. Now
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: you are now involved in the cycle of hate. And
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: so now when you cast hate to them, they're gonna
- 1:33:54Speaker 1: recast it on you. Then somebody else that know them
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: starts hating on you, and somebody didn't know you start
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: hating on them, And now y'all in a vicious spin
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: cycle and the hatred has turned into a bigger ball
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: than it actually is. When what could have stopped this
- 1:34:12Speaker 1: whole thing would have been when you were first hit
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: with the darkness, when you were first hit with the
- 1:34:20Speaker 1: untrue rumor, when you first came under attack, if you
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: didn't swing back hard to have a one man fight.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: If only you had not swung back, the fight wouldn't
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: have grew into what it is today. And it's hard
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: to do that. Man. Do I understand that? Yeah, it's
- 1:34:40Speaker 1: hard to do. Am I human being? Yes? I am. Do.
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: I facetimes when I want to do something different, Yes
- 1:34:48Speaker 1: I do. Does sometimes I end up doing something different regrettably,
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: Yes I do. But the times when I do get
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: it right, the times when I you manage to hold
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: my peace, the times when I do manage to hold
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: my tongue, the times that I do manage to bite
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: down and grit it and just take it, it ends
- 1:35:12Speaker 1: far quicker. Yeah, I don't give it legs. Don't give
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: people gasoline to throw on the fire they trying to
- 1:35:22Speaker 1: start at your house. I just try not to provide
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: you the gasoline, the starter fluid. I just try not to.
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: Now that's hard, but I'm telling you, man, And it's
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: so much energy that you have to give to deal
- 1:35:41Speaker 1: with haters. You gotta muster it up every time you
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: see them. You gotta respond every time you see a post.
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: You gotta comment on every comment. Na man, no stop
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: feeling though, as you got to comment on every time
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: somebody say something bad about you, are negative about you.
- 1:35:58Speaker 1: They don't know you, they have no idea who you
- 1:36:01Speaker 1: really are. They don't And because they'd have lied on you,
- 1:36:07Speaker 1: nothing they can say gonna make it true. That's one
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: of the ones I had to learn, y'all that just
- 1:36:14Speaker 1: because a person lies on you, it's not gonna make
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: it true you lied. I don't have to buy into that.
- 1:36:24Speaker 1: And so now, man, I've just learned, and I'm trying
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: to get better and better. But I invite all of
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: you in two nineteen to move yourself forward with the
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: right attitude. Don't stay on the wall. Listen to me.
- 1:36:38Speaker 1: Stay on the wall, don't get off the wall, addressing
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: stuff that you ain't got time for. And if you
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: can forgive a person, if you can forgive a person,
- 1:36:50Speaker 1: do that. It's in your best interests because we remember,
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: forgiveness is not for the other person. Forgiveness is for you.
- 1:36:59Speaker 1: It's so you don't have to react every time you
- 1:37:01Speaker 1: see them. It's so you don't have to feel some
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: kind of way sitting by yourself. It's so you don't
- 1:37:06Speaker 1: have to keep rehashing it in your mind. I'll forgive
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: you not forgiving a person. And I've said this a
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: hundred times before on this show. Not forgiving a person.
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: It's like you drinking the poison, waiting on them to die.
- 1:37:22Speaker 1: Bishop Jake's taught me that. I will never forget it. Y'all.
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: Stop drinking the poison. You better than that. Don't deal
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: with the haters. You better than that. Fix your attitude.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: If you change your attitude, you change your altitude. Y'all
- 1:37:40Speaker 1: have a great weekend. I'm so happy for all. Steve
