- 1:46Speaker 1: turn the water the water got come come on your
- 1:59Speaker 1: tha uh huh, I share will good morning everybody. You're
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, come on, dig me down, want
- 2:08Speaker 1: and only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man o
- 2:12Speaker 1: man o, man, I just I have to tell you this.
- 2:21Speaker 1: How good is the God I served? How amazing is he?
- 2:27Speaker 1: That's that's all, you know. And you know, really, man,
- 2:30Speaker 1: when I try to explain um how I feel about
- 2:35Speaker 1: what he does for me, really, the words that I
- 2:37Speaker 1: come up with that they just they they inadequate. Man,
- 2:40Speaker 1: They don't they don't cut it. They really don't. You know.
- 2:43Speaker 1: I could say amazing. At one time. I even just
- 2:47Speaker 1: got that. I tried something real ignorant. One time, I
- 2:49Speaker 1: just said, you know, God is just super casual, fragilistic
- 2:52Speaker 1: as be alladocious. I just tried that to see how
- 2:54Speaker 1: that felt. That's that's all the change he is with me.
- 2:57Speaker 1: I just try to because see how that felt. But
- 2:59Speaker 1: then I ain't feel right saying that, the fact that
- 3:02Speaker 1: he's amazing and awesome and he's an awesome God. You
- 3:05Speaker 1: hear people say that as it's bigger than that too, man.
- 3:08Speaker 1: So you know, as as hard as I try, no
- 3:12Speaker 1: matter what I do every day, I'm gonna come up
- 3:14Speaker 1: short with trying to explain to you exactly how he
- 3:18Speaker 1: works and how he is for me. So I just
- 3:20Speaker 1: thank him every day every chance I get here. It
- 3:24Speaker 1: is it is your determination and your effort. Listen to
- 3:31Speaker 1: me carefully. It is your determination and your effort. I
- 3:39Speaker 1: think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 3:45Speaker 1: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 3:49Speaker 1: we don't realize the effort that it takes. And that's
- 3:54Speaker 1: just truth. I found that to be so true in
- 3:58Speaker 1: my life and my talking to people, in meeting people,
- 4:01Speaker 1: and people aren't asking me questions about it and me
- 4:03Speaker 1: trying to figure out the way myself. I don't think
- 4:08Speaker 1: that you really can comprehend the effort that it takes
- 4:13Speaker 1: to become successful. This is the thing that you have
- 4:16Speaker 1: to wrap your mind around very quickly if you want
- 4:19Speaker 1: to be successful on any level in any area. The
- 4:24Speaker 1: dream is the beginning. Good Lord, let me tell you something.
- 4:28Speaker 1: The determination and effort is massive. You cannot be overly
- 4:35Speaker 1: concerned with sleep. If you are a person who is
- 4:39Speaker 1: always concerned about sleep, get success out your mind. A
- 4:44Speaker 1: fit to happen partner is not fit to happen. You
- 4:47Speaker 1: cannot be that concerned about sleep. Now, listen to me.
- 4:52Speaker 1: You have to get your rest. But this was my philosophy.
- 4:56Speaker 1: I'm just sharing you with what how I did it.
- 5:00Speaker 1: My philosophy was I stopped being concerned about sleep. I
- 5:06Speaker 1: got my rest, but I got just enough to get
- 5:11Speaker 1: back to it, and I got back on the grind
- 5:14Speaker 1: to hop into hustle. I got just enough rest so
- 5:18Speaker 1: I could go and put forth some more effort. But
- 5:22Speaker 1: listen to me. You cannot sleep a third of your
- 5:26Speaker 1: life away and expect to become successful. If you're not
- 5:30Speaker 1: already successful. If you are asleep for eight hours, that
- 5:33Speaker 1: is a third of your day. You cannot be asleep
- 5:37Speaker 1: a third of your life and expect to get successful. Now,
- 5:40Speaker 1: after you get successful, you know you learn as you
- 5:45Speaker 1: go to work smarter, not harder, so as you get successful,
- 5:50Speaker 1: you may have eight hours available to you. But on
- 5:53Speaker 1: the way up there, I don't see how you can
- 5:55Speaker 1: do it, I promise you. I don't. Now I don't.
- 5:57Speaker 1: Maybe somebody can't come forward. I did it? I yeah,
- 6:00Speaker 1: probably lying. But okay, tell your story, because everybody I
- 6:05Speaker 1: know that's successful that I've sat down ahead real talks
- 6:09Speaker 1: with it wasn't concerned with sleeping. You cannot be concerned
- 6:15Speaker 1: with sleeping if you want to be successful. How how
- 6:18Speaker 1: can this happen for you? Listen to me. The effort
- 6:22Speaker 1: that it requires is massive. It's an all out of
- 6:25Speaker 1: salt on your dream. Now you got to make an assault.
- 6:29Speaker 1: It's requires and all out of salt on it. And
- 6:32Speaker 1: you can't be sleeping. Fight at the same time. You
- 6:34Speaker 1: can't fight when you sleep. Man. I wish I could
- 6:38Speaker 1: get y'all understand this right here. Understand that the effort
- 6:42Speaker 1: that is required to be successful will take everything you have,
- 6:46Speaker 1: and when you think you've given your all, it's gonna
- 6:49Speaker 1: require some more. The quality of your chill is amazing.
- 6:55Speaker 1: See that's okay, listening. What is sitting around having a
- 6:59Speaker 1: bill every day fault. What what what I'm sitting down
- 7:02Speaker 1: smoking weed for every day? Fault? Come on, man, for real,
- 7:08Speaker 1: But if you took that beer drinking weed smoking chill
- 7:12Speaker 1: time and apply it to progressing yourself towards your dream.
- 7:17Speaker 1: When you do carve out a vacation, guess where you
- 7:20Speaker 1: be able to go. Guess what part of the world
- 7:23Speaker 1: you can go see? Guess how you can you Now
- 7:25Speaker 1: now I'm instead of you just driving every year your
- 7:28Speaker 1: family to the family union, sit at the same picnic table.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Everybody pull their money in to ten families. Don't never
- 7:35Speaker 1: pull they money in. They down there eating like y'all eating.
- 7:38Speaker 1: You got attitude because the day or they side don't
- 7:41Speaker 1: ever chip in, and no they down they eating the
- 7:43Speaker 1: extra potatoes that are making place. You're not not harguing
- 7:46Speaker 1: about this every year for real, man, they ain't got
- 7:49Speaker 1: the T shirt money. You know they got to say
- 7:51Speaker 1: a T shirt, don't. They ain't put in that, really, man,
- 7:54Speaker 1: so so so so so you want that to be
- 7:57Speaker 1: it every year? Or do you want this shire I'm
- 8:01Speaker 1: taking my family to New Orleans, or I'm taking my
- 8:04Speaker 1: family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking my family down
- 8:07Speaker 1: to the beach. This year, and me and my family
- 8:10Speaker 1: gonna go sight See, we're gonna go ride Coup the
- 8:12Speaker 1: River on Chicago. Me and my family gonna go skiing
- 8:15Speaker 1: this year, and me and my family going out to
- 8:17Speaker 1: La Man, we're gonna're gonna go out there for the weekend.
- 8:20Speaker 1: You know, you know it can happen like that. But
- 8:22Speaker 1: if you ain't working, listen to me. Average effort gets
- 8:31Speaker 1: average results. That's that's all it is to it. See,
- 8:38Speaker 1: ordinary effort gets ordinary results. But if you put forth
- 8:45Speaker 1: an extra effort. See, the only difference between extraordinary and
- 8:50Speaker 1: ordinary is one word, that's extra. If you do extra,
- 8:54Speaker 1: you can take ordinary right on over to extraordinary. Do
- 8:58Speaker 1: you understand you have to have a massive assault on
- 9:01Speaker 1: your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man, trying to
- 9:04Speaker 1: chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I wish I
- 9:07Speaker 1: could tell you another way, but it ain't one. Here's
- 9:10Speaker 1: what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much sleep
- 9:13Speaker 1: I got. I just had to get my rest. And
- 9:17Speaker 1: once I got enough rest to get up and get
- 9:19Speaker 1: the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me a
- 9:24Speaker 1: tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He's someone
- 9:30Speaker 1: to see if I can pull it up while I'm
- 9:31Speaker 1: talking to you. But he just sent me a little sign.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Just wasn't nothing, just a little something to say, Hey man,
- 9:37Speaker 1: I ran across this, I thought about you, and I
- 9:39Speaker 1: sent it to you. It said no alarm clock needed,
- 9:43Speaker 1: My passion wakes me. It's in blockprint. He said, no
- 9:50Speaker 1: alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me. That's what you
- 9:56Speaker 1: got to be about. Morning show ladies and gentlemen. What huh?
- 10:07Speaker 1: You know what time it is? Showtime? Man? You know
- 10:13Speaker 1: what I was thinking the other day about how I
- 10:17Speaker 1: was as a little boy and I was growing up.
- 10:20Speaker 1: We should put on shows in the basement, and I'd
- 10:24Speaker 1: have a clothes line put up in the basement and
- 10:27Speaker 1: a sheet that was the backstage area. I was always
- 10:32Speaker 1: trying to get my nephews and nieces to perform. They couldn't,
- 10:36Speaker 1: and they were more aggravating to me than a little bit.
- 10:40Speaker 1: So I took it upon myself to introduce my damn
- 10:45Speaker 1: self because y'all obviously don't have the glam and what
- 10:50Speaker 1: it takes to be in the limelight under this light
- 10:53Speaker 1: bulb in this basement down here, Hi, y'all for see
- 10:58Speaker 1: yourself of making it to the big time, and you
- 11:02Speaker 1: can't perform under this one light bulb in this damn
- 11:06Speaker 1: base man. I look back on that and I was
- 11:09Speaker 1: Hollan laughing because a little more with the studying condition
- 11:13Speaker 1: mess Ryan and made it. Praise God Almighty for doing
- 11:18Speaker 1: the impossible, the unseeing. Yuh, y'all go, ladies and gentlemen.
- 11:26Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show, Charley Strawberry calling for real mouth
- 11:29Speaker 1: at the South, Junior and your boar myself, what's up,
- 11:33Speaker 1: junior man, Let's talk about this man. You know something
- 11:36Speaker 1: we've been talking about the other day. But it's on
- 11:40Speaker 1: your journey when you're doing what you feel like God
- 11:43Speaker 1: has put you on here, which one is more important?
- 11:46Speaker 1: Getting it right or getting started? Well, I gotta tell
- 11:51Speaker 1: you something. If you don't ever start, it's no way
- 11:55Speaker 1: to get it right. I mean, if you don't start,
- 11:59Speaker 1: we're not I've been to get it right or wrong,
- 12:02Speaker 1: and so I just implore people to start. You know,
- 12:07Speaker 1: you don't have to know how it's gonna work all
- 12:10Speaker 1: the way out, because I have news for you. Nobody do.
- 12:14Speaker 1: If God had told all of you that in order
- 12:17Speaker 1: to get where you are today, and he showed you
- 12:21Speaker 1: a road, Mapple every trial, tribulation, set back that you'd
- 12:26Speaker 1: have to go through to get there. All of us
- 12:29Speaker 1: would want something else. I don't care where we are.
- 12:33Speaker 1: I know I would have had he showed it to
- 12:35Speaker 1: me in the beginning, I'd have said, hold on, hold on, Lord.
- 12:37Speaker 1: In two fifteen, can we skip that? And in two
- 12:41Speaker 1: thousand and five, can we skip that? In two thousand
- 12:45Speaker 1: can we let that one go? And I'd love to
- 12:48Speaker 1: go back to nineteen ninety six? Could we not do
- 12:51Speaker 1: that before we get to ninety six? Could we not that? Yeah? Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: oh I remember some years. But if he had showed
- 12:59Speaker 1: he is that, we wouldn't have We wouldn't be where
- 13:03Speaker 1: we are. So starting is the key. Yeah, it's the
- 13:06Speaker 1: whole key to everything. But you have to remember even
- 13:10Speaker 1: in a start. I've said this a million times, but
- 13:11Speaker 1: a bad competing when you fail that doesn't just say
- 13:17Speaker 1: failure is not any Listen to this. Failure is not
- 13:20Speaker 1: a person. Failure is an event. Don't let any event
- 13:26Speaker 1: describe who you are as a person. Right, come on?
- 13:31Speaker 1: What amen? Amen? All right, thank you Steve for that.
- 13:38Speaker 1: Coming up. At thirty two minutes after the hour, Junior
- 13:41Speaker 1: is in for the nephew to run that frank back
- 13:43Speaker 1: right after this you're listening show, all right, it is
- 13:48Speaker 1: time to start your morning off with Junior in for
- 13:51Speaker 1: the nephew to run that frank back. What you got, Junior?
- 13:54Speaker 1: How much in the account passed? That's it? That's it?
- 13:58Speaker 1: How much in the account passed? Come on, hello, hello,
- 14:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach Pastor Hayes to see Pastor Hayes.
- 14:06Speaker 1: How you doing this is? This is brother lin Lenna Thompson.
- 14:09Speaker 1: How you doing it? I'm good brother? How and how
- 14:12Speaker 1: can I help you today? Pass? I'm actually one of
- 14:14Speaker 1: your members at the church, and I want to just
- 14:18Speaker 1: commend you that you're doing a good job the way
- 14:20Speaker 1: you are displaying safety. Let me say that first and foremost. Okay, cool,
- 14:25Speaker 1: thank you. You know, we just want everybody to be
- 14:27Speaker 1: safe and healthy. And your name again, Brother Lenna Thompson. Okay,
- 14:33Speaker 1: And and and other times I'm trying about to be
- 14:35Speaker 1: in the middle of dinner. How can I help you? Brother? Well,
- 14:38Speaker 1: here's what I wanted to ask you, man, uh Pallas,
- 14:41Speaker 1: I want to ask you this. I know, you know
- 14:43Speaker 1: a lot of people are going through different things and
- 14:45Speaker 1: and people are, you know, trying to make sure they
- 14:48Speaker 1: keep food and stuff in the house because you know,
- 14:51Speaker 1: time like this, you know you kind of want to
- 14:53Speaker 1: stay put, and but you want to make sure you
- 14:55Speaker 1: got enough food and water and things like that. So
- 14:57Speaker 1: but but but when I want to my reason for
- 14:59Speaker 1: calling you, I wanted to ask you, how how much
- 15:03Speaker 1: money do we have in the account? Come again, the
- 15:08Speaker 1: church account? How much money do we have in there? Brother? Brother?
- 15:12Speaker 1: What what do you say? Your name was? Again? Brother?
- 15:15Speaker 1: My name is a brother, Lennah Thompson. Okay, Brother Thompson.
- 15:18Speaker 1: How did you get my person to sell phone number
- 15:20Speaker 1: to be calling me at home the time of day? Well?
- 15:23Speaker 1: I got this number from one of the brothers at
- 15:25Speaker 1: the church. What what? Brother? The church do they know
- 15:27Speaker 1: not to give my person the number out to to
- 15:30Speaker 1: people I don't know you? Well, I'm a I'm a
- 15:33Speaker 1: but I'm a but I'm a member though I'm a member. Well,
- 15:36Speaker 1: how how long you've been a member? Because I've been
- 15:37Speaker 1: passing this church for ten years and your name ain't
- 15:40Speaker 1: familiar to me. How long? How long have you been
- 15:42Speaker 1: a member of my church? I've been a member of
- 15:45Speaker 1: probably going on going on three years now, but I
- 15:49Speaker 1: ain't I ain't been since you know, since that day
- 15:51Speaker 1: I joined. You know, you know, I kind of got
- 15:54Speaker 1: caught out there. You know how I go. But uh wait, wait, wait, wait,
- 15:57Speaker 1: wait wait wait. So you you been a member of
- 15:59Speaker 1: my church two or three years, you ain't been to
- 16:01Speaker 1: the church, and two to three years are you calling
- 16:04Speaker 1: me to ask me about finances of my church. Well,
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm understand what you're looking for. Well, I am a member,
- 16:10Speaker 1: so I mean I do how to Don't I have
- 16:12Speaker 1: the right to know what we got in there? What
- 16:14Speaker 1: we got in the account? Actually you don't. You don't
- 16:16Speaker 1: have to write to that question. If you don't actively
- 16:19Speaker 1: come to the church, you can't come to the church,
- 16:21Speaker 1: sign of the church and then call me three years
- 16:24Speaker 1: later asking me what we got going on at church.
- 16:27Speaker 1: So I need to understand what is your purpose? Well,
- 16:30Speaker 1: like I say, everybody going through hard times, I'm trying
- 16:34Speaker 1: to see what we got in there, because you know,
- 16:36Speaker 1: I need to pick up a few things from the stove.
- 16:38Speaker 1: I don't have the money right now, but shouldn't I
- 16:42Speaker 1: be able to lean on my church? Though you lean
- 16:44Speaker 1: on it. We've done a lot of stuff in the community.
- 16:47Speaker 1: We've been feeding the elderly. We got a full bank
- 16:50Speaker 1: we've been cashed after people some money that when we can.
- 16:53Speaker 1: But you ain't been at this church and three years.
- 16:55Speaker 1: You can't call me after three years and think I'm
- 16:57Speaker 1: about to give you some money for something. I don't
- 16:59Speaker 1: even if you're a real member. I am a real man.
- 17:02Speaker 1: I'm a real member. So hold on, hold on, hold on,
- 17:04Speaker 1: hold hold on, past hold on, hold on, no, no, no,
- 17:08Speaker 1: hold on, boy, boy, Look here, I'm trying to sit
- 17:11Speaker 1: down here dinner with my family. You sitting here on
- 17:14Speaker 1: my last Never look here, brother Thompson. I don't know you.
- 17:17Speaker 1: I ain't never heard of you. You am not about
- 17:20Speaker 1: to call here and try to get some money out
- 17:22Speaker 1: of me. And you ain't even remember of the church.
- 17:24Speaker 1: You can't. I am a member of the church because
- 17:27Speaker 1: you come to the church one time, you ain't been
- 17:29Speaker 1: back in three years, and you come to me for
- 17:32Speaker 1: some money. I am a member of your mama. You
- 17:35Speaker 1: are not a member of this church, sir. I am
- 17:37Speaker 1: a member of the church. Look, look, look, let me
- 17:40Speaker 1: tell you something. I know. This ain't no. No, let
- 17:44Speaker 1: me tell you where. You can't join my church two
- 17:46Speaker 1: or three years ago and called me three years later.
- 17:49Speaker 1: Get my number from somebody and ask me for money
- 17:51Speaker 1: because you're going through hard time. Now, if you was
- 17:53Speaker 1: a true member of the church, you'll understand how we
- 17:56Speaker 1: work and how we give money to people that are struggling.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I just deliver forty meals today to our elderly. Huh.
- 18:03Speaker 1: Last week we cash out people money to go kick
- 18:06Speaker 1: up grosser compare? What do you need? Do you need
- 18:09Speaker 1: my cash? App? Then? Do you need my cash? Boy?
- 18:12Speaker 1: Why are you gonna make me because you ain't even
- 18:15Speaker 1: tied them? So? How are you not tiring? And thank
- 18:17Speaker 1: you told you I have felt on bad times? Didn't
- 18:20Speaker 1: I say I fell on bad times? You feel on
- 18:23Speaker 1: bad times for three years? Hey? Hey, you know it
- 18:26Speaker 1: takes longer for some people. Okay, why are you Why
- 18:29Speaker 1: are you judging me in opposed to trying to figure
- 18:31Speaker 1: out how to cash at me so I can get
- 18:33Speaker 1: on a number of my church. I don't know if
- 18:36Speaker 1: you some scam artists trying to get money from the church. Sir.
- 18:39Speaker 1: I have never met you. I don't know you. Matter
- 18:42Speaker 1: of fact, I'm about to call it the deacons to
- 18:44Speaker 1: see who you are and why they would give my
- 18:46Speaker 1: number to some points to call me and ask me
- 18:48Speaker 1: for some money. Hey, let me say this to you.
- 18:50Speaker 1: If you don't cash at me, then I'm feeling that
- 18:53Speaker 1: all the members I know you. I know our church
- 18:55Speaker 1: ain't no mega church. You know we got three four
- 18:58Speaker 1: hundred members already know so. But but I would let
- 19:01Speaker 1: every member know that you're not cash happing me to
- 19:04Speaker 1: help me in a time and need. I will do that.
- 19:07Speaker 1: Rob Thompson, you you can let him know. You can
- 19:09Speaker 1: Facebook and Instagram and you can put it on that
- 19:11Speaker 1: TikTok and cag me in it. I ain't giving you
- 19:14Speaker 1: a dime. I don't know you, I ain't never heard
- 19:17Speaker 1: of you. Matter of fact, you need to get off
- 19:19Speaker 1: my phone. I got dinner with my wife about to
- 19:21Speaker 1: go on, man, and I ain't got tired of me
- 19:23Speaker 1: going back and forward with you. I need to know
- 19:25Speaker 1: who gave you my number, so I can call him
- 19:28Speaker 1: up and tell them, don't be giving my number some
- 19:31Speaker 1: stranger who ain't been our church in two to three years.
- 19:34Speaker 1: Ain't gonna ask me for some money, some cash out
- 19:37Speaker 1: or if you don't get off this phone, who gave you? Okay,

- 21:05Speaker 1: of the hour and entertainment news Black British actor Steve
- 21:09Speaker 1: Toussaint responds to racist House of Dragon fans House of

- 21:18Speaker 1: and Oscar's hosting gig and wow, this story right here,
- 21:23Speaker 1: rap music is on trial. The Fulton County, Georgia DA
- 21:27Speaker 1: plans to use rap lyrics in court. We'll talk about
- 21:30Speaker 1: all of these stories at the top of the hour,
- 21:32Speaker 1: but right now it is time the clo Quintin and
- 21:38Speaker 1: Bakersfield says, I'm dating a woman that is besties with
- 21:43Speaker 1: her mom, and when we go out, her mom comes
- 21:46Speaker 1: to Clo. I don't mind the mom coming, but she's
- 21:49Speaker 1: got it going on and I'm becoming more attracted to her.
- 21:53Speaker 1: Do I separate myself from the two of them? Or
- 21:56Speaker 1: do I focus more on the mother and see where
- 21:58Speaker 1: that could possibly go? Quentin Quentin, I cannot tell you
- 22:12Speaker 1: how dark and deep the hole is you about to
- 22:15Speaker 1: step your dumb ass into now, Mom has a going on.
- 22:25Speaker 1: I bet she do. Mm now, sir, I don't know
- 22:32Speaker 1: how far you and this daughter then win. I don't
- 22:34Speaker 1: know how y'all met. I don't know if y'all were
- 22:37Speaker 1: set up. I don't know if y'all been cuddling. I
- 22:40Speaker 1: don't know if y'all went all the way. It don't
- 22:44Speaker 1: sound like it. It sounds like y'all just been hanging
- 22:48Speaker 1: out and you're trying to see where it goes. I
- 22:52Speaker 1: understand at Quentin Lord him merci i' updated in my
- 22:58Speaker 1: life or bet spread that had a woman who had
- 23:02Speaker 1: her best friend. They used to come along and her
- 23:06Speaker 1: friend was finer than her. Okay, so, and the first
- 23:11Speaker 1: day we had never done that. We had just went
- 23:13Speaker 1: out on the date. The first day we went out,
- 23:16Speaker 1: I drew the conclusion that I would be much better
- 23:20Speaker 1: off with her friend than her. I came at the
- 23:24Speaker 1: first day. I knew that right way first date, just
- 23:30Speaker 1: on sight in my twenty some years, I came to
- 23:37Speaker 1: the conclusion that my life, future and all I hope
- 23:43Speaker 1: for would be in better hands with her friend, because,
- 23:46Speaker 1: like the mom and this one, she had it going on.
- 23:50Speaker 1: Boy did she. So I sat there and made the
- 23:54Speaker 1: switch in my mind. Okay, the problem I had, Quintin,
- 24:00Speaker 1: it's the problem you gonna have. You can make the
- 24:03Speaker 1: switch in your mind, But how do you get to
- 24:07Speaker 1: switch out verbally verbage to use to tell your original
- 24:16Speaker 1: date that you are now feeling her best I have
- 24:22Speaker 1: yet to come up with those words after sixty five years, Quentin,
- 24:27Speaker 1: Good luck, Steve. It isn't this different. It's her mom.
- 24:31Speaker 1: It's not just her best friend. It's her best friend
- 24:34Speaker 1: who happens to be her mom. I told you what
- 24:37Speaker 1: would happen with just the best friend exactly. I really
- 24:44Speaker 1: don't know what to tell you about this girl's mom.
- 24:47Speaker 1: This is something, right, boy, it ain't nothing he can say.
- 24:56Speaker 1: You know, there's nothing. You're right, all right. Moving on
- 24:59Speaker 1: to J in Southfield, JJ says, last night I heard
- 25:03Speaker 1: rumbling in my backyard, so I opened the curtains. My
- 25:06Speaker 1: neighbor and a woman were back there having sex. The
- 25:10Speaker 1: next day he called to thank me for not scaring
- 25:12Speaker 1: the woman off, and he said it won't happen again.
- 25:16Speaker 1: His wife is my wife's cousin. I know man code,
- 25:20Speaker 1: but do I break code if it involves family? No,
- 25:24Speaker 1: you can't break man cold family. Your wife's could they
- 25:28Speaker 1: ain't even clotheh ain't your brother could really and it
- 25:38Speaker 1: don't even know them people curry distant man, Come my
- 25:45Speaker 1: mama's sisters kids. What y'all stay whatever now? Don't you
- 25:57Speaker 1: can't break man colde on that? Okay? And he even
- 26:01Speaker 1: he realized you saw him and thank you and said
- 26:04Speaker 1: it won't happen again, not in your back yard. That's
- 26:10Speaker 1: what that's what he said. Yeah, yeah, no, no, no, no,
- 26:13Speaker 1: that's what he's said. It won't happen again. You didn't
- 26:16Speaker 1: hear under his breath it won't happen again. That's what
- 26:22Speaker 1: they mean, all right, Harper and Talladega says, I'm thirty
- 26:26Speaker 1: and I'm dating a black man that is a mama's boy.
- 26:29Speaker 1: If the food doesn't taste like his mama's food, then
- 26:32Speaker 1: he won't eat it. He highly offended my pastor's wife
- 26:35Speaker 1: last week by telling her that she didn't cook her
- 26:38Speaker 1: Lima beans long enough. We're about to get engaged. Should
- 26:42Speaker 1: I think twice before marrying him? Well, now I'm gonna
- 26:46Speaker 1: be real with It's hard to shoot down on some
- 26:48Speaker 1: tough ass lin, but I'm just gonna be real with you.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Do you know that? Because they already start you, you know,
- 26:56Speaker 1: and that's like, that's that's like undercook corn. You know
- 26:59Speaker 1: them start your foods. You got to cook them through
- 27:01Speaker 1: and through. I'd rather have a soft line of being
- 27:04Speaker 1: than a crunching lime of being. These ain't snappeas Now.
- 27:07Speaker 1: You got to know your grocery and love, you know.
- 27:10Speaker 1: And if you're gonna be country and we're gonna get married,
- 27:13Speaker 1: you can't be in here undercooking these lime of being
- 27:16Speaker 1: and the past the wife no better. Yeah, hell you
- 27:19Speaker 1: in the hairy folk, you should have just left him
- 27:21Speaker 1: own and came to church, cut him on low, and
- 27:24Speaker 1: leave him in their own simmer in the cid, and
- 27:27Speaker 1: then call home and tell somebody or ain't he or
- 27:30Speaker 1: somebody that don't go to church, go out there and
- 27:32Speaker 1: turn them beans off. But you gotta say it like that.
- 27:36Speaker 1: You better come on with. That's how they always go
- 27:39Speaker 1: in there and turn them beans off. They run over,
- 27:45Speaker 1: you know how they go because somebody at that street,
- 27:49Speaker 1: in their apartment across the street, got the key to
- 27:52Speaker 1: your house because you made friends with him. Y'all had
- 27:54Speaker 1: your own little watch committee, and you know, to send
- 27:57Speaker 1: them over to the house because they don't never go
- 27:59Speaker 1: to church and hurting them damn beans on. I got
- 28:02Speaker 1: a question lady that wrote the letter, is she white?
- 28:05Speaker 1: Because she says I'm dating a black man man see,
- 28:09Speaker 1: and now that I kind of thought that too. I
- 28:11Speaker 1: wouldn't gonna say that because I try to stay out
- 28:13Speaker 1: of hr when I can't see you don't give a
- 28:16Speaker 1: damn here I go. You're asking, No, y'all always running
- 28:20Speaker 1: stuff under hot water? Anyway, you got the ball them
- 28:24Speaker 1: damn lima beans and your pastor's wife don't know how
- 28:26Speaker 1: to cook. And I don't blame it, black ass for
- 28:28Speaker 1: saying nothing about it, because I'm not gonna be coming
- 28:30Speaker 1: over here these little white dinners and y'all under cooking
- 28:33Speaker 1: these damn vegetables and running these hot water across these
- 28:36Speaker 1: green beans and slicing up these almonds on them. I'm
- 28:39Speaker 1: not coming over here for this. And stop putting these
- 28:42Speaker 1: marshmallers on top of these yams who told y'all to
- 28:45Speaker 1: do that? And we like dressing and dressing and stovetop.
- 28:49Speaker 1: It's two different things entirely. I got coming to the
- 28:53Speaker 1: white church. No more coming up understatements and trending headline
- 29:02Speaker 1: news right after this. Thank you, Cello. You're listening to
- 29:06Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. House of the Dragon, the

- 29:34Speaker 1: events of the original and Game of Thrones, chronicles the
- 29:38Speaker 1: rise and fall of the House Tagarion. Steve Toussaint, the
- 29:42Speaker 1: black British actor playing the role of a wealthy military commander.
- 29:45Speaker 1: I think his name is Lord Corless Valerio. Well, he's
- 29:50Speaker 1: been receiving racist remarks Steve from the Game of Throne fans.
- 29:54Speaker 1: The fans believe the casting doesn't match what is portrayed
- 29:57Speaker 1: in the book, but the author, George our Martin never
- 30:01Speaker 1: mentioned the character skin color and an interview with Men's
- 30:05Speaker 1: Health magazine, JASA talked about the fans of the show
- 30:08Speaker 1: and said they are happy with the dragon flying. They're
- 30:12Speaker 1: happy with white hair and violet colored colored eyes, but
- 30:17Speaker 1: a rich black guy that's beyond the pale. So now
- 30:20Speaker 1: you are mad at at a fictitious character being black.
- 30:26Speaker 1: But they're cool with the dragons and they're cool with Yeah,
- 30:33Speaker 1: but you can't be a rich black man dragon as

- 30:45Speaker 1: And you know I started to watch it. I'm going
- 30:47Speaker 1: to watch it. Yeah, yeah, but you know I gotta
- 30:51Speaker 1: wait till they get some more episodes, because I was
- 30:53Speaker 1: sitting there and I was about to press episode one,
- 30:55Speaker 1: but I saw ain't no more. You were just one.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I'm not fitting watching No one and then see I
- 31:03Speaker 1: need to fall asleep and wonder what happened and be
- 31:06Speaker 1: able to cut it back on and find out. I
- 31:08Speaker 1: can't wait the next Friday. I ain't the kind of light.
- 31:12Speaker 1: And now all y'all racists ask people that don't like
- 31:14Speaker 1: the black dude, and I don't watch the damn show.
- 31:18Speaker 1: If this show making you sick, lord, don't watch bridgeton
- 31:23Speaker 1: because you're gonna hell yourself. You're stupid red neck. He'll
- 31:30Speaker 1: bit it back with bigger than ass that. Let's just

- 31:38Speaker 1: the but the dragon is all right with the fire
- 31:41Speaker 1: coming out when white people on the back. Yeah, that's cool.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You're good. You're good with that. And the mama or
- 31:51Speaker 1: the dragon is a white lady. Yeah, but the dragons
- 31:56Speaker 1: with their big black ass. Wait wait a minute, oh,
- 32:02Speaker 1: the stone people. That were cool for the stone people.
- 32:06Speaker 1: And if he touches skin, gets little skin gets scared.
- 32:09Speaker 1: You was cool with that, all of that, all of that,
- 32:13Speaker 1: But you was cool with the white lady that walked
- 32:15Speaker 1: out the building completely on fire, and she walked out
- 32:19Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, this white woman was in
- 32:22Speaker 1: charge of all these black people. All that was wonderful
- 32:26Speaker 1: to you. I'm gonna take says you want to bring
- 32:29Speaker 1: up stuff I didn't get about Game of Throne, Our
- 32:31Speaker 1: damn show didn't get this little miss Lily White walks
- 32:34Speaker 1: out this building that's on fire. Now, all the black
- 32:38Speaker 1: people scared of her? What's wrong with just killing her?
- 32:46Speaker 1: Oh see see, I'm gonna do a whole show called
- 32:49Speaker 1: anti racism. Okay, I'm gonna I'm gonna call it all
- 32:54Speaker 1: and all reverse racism. I'm gonna show you what it

- 33:03Speaker 1: like in your movies and your and that stought was
- 33:08Speaker 1: one of the biggest TV shows ever Friends, High to Hell.
- 33:12Speaker 1: You got a show in New York City. Nothing on
- 33:17Speaker 1: this show but white people. It's a lifelong question, right,
- 33:22Speaker 1: there wasn't a black ass but in nowhere called Dog.
- 33:29Speaker 1: They wasn't down at the office, They didn't walk in
- 33:32Speaker 1: the ball. What part of New York was this film? Friends? Anymore? Anymore?
- 33:40Speaker 1: Come to mind? Okay, just name one. I could any shower,
- 33:48Speaker 1: Andy Maybury and Griffin. You know I didn't. I wasn't
- 33:55Speaker 1: even race it day. Or one of my favorite shows
- 33:57Speaker 1: called the Bonnie Oh yeah, Barnie, Yeah, Bonnie and the
- 34:02Speaker 1: Dog going on a drunk dude Oldest Floyd down at
- 34:07Speaker 1: the barber shop. Boy, ain't all right? Ain't we always
- 34:14Speaker 1: look like she's fit to cry? Yeah? Yeah, that is funny.
- 34:25Speaker 1: What are you all right? We're gonna get to this
- 34:28Speaker 1: other entertainment, Newest when you finish? Oh you got it down?
- 34:36Speaker 1: Uh huh? Okay, you don't understand that was so doc.
- 34:49Speaker 1: That was my soul. You don't know what that meant
- 34:52Speaker 1: to me? Man, are you cheering up right now? No?
- 34:56Speaker 1: White boy going fishing with her daddy, ain't got no mama, No, no,
- 35:05Speaker 1: all right? And other entertainment news. Chris Rock. Chris Rock
- 35:11Speaker 1: briefly addressed the Oscar slap incident during a ninety minute
- 35:15Speaker 1: comedy set in Phoenix. Chris said the OSCARS invited him
- 35:17Speaker 1: to host next year's ceremony, and he declined. He also
- 35:21Speaker 1: told the crowd that he refused how he refused an
- 35:24Speaker 1: offer for a Super Bowl commercial. Rock referenced the murder
- 35:27Speaker 1: trial of O. J. Simpson while explaining his stands and
- 35:30Speaker 1: said that going back to the Oscars would be like
- 35:32Speaker 1: asking the late Nicole Brown Simpson to go back to
- 35:35Speaker 1: the restaurant where she left her glasses before being killed
- 35:39Speaker 1: back in nineteen ninety four. Chris, come on, I don't
- 35:45Speaker 1: see the funny in it. Okay, all right, We'll be
- 35:47Speaker 1: back with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show right
- 35:50Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to show. A state of emergency
- 35:56Speaker 1: has been declared in Jackson, Mississippi. What does the government
- 35:59Speaker 1: doing about it now? According to CNN today, there will
- 36:04Speaker 1: be several mega distribution sites with thirty six truckloads of
- 36:07Speaker 1: water available each day for the public. Jackson States had
- 36:11Speaker 1: football coach Down Sanders talked about how the water crisis
- 36:14Speaker 1: is affecting the football players at Jackson State. Take a listen.
- 36:18Speaker 1: So right now we're operating in a crisis mode. I
- 36:21Speaker 1: gotta get these kids off campus, the ones that live
- 36:25Speaker 1: on campus, the one that lives in the city of Jackson,
- 36:27Speaker 1: into a hotel and accommodate them so that they can
- 36:31Speaker 1: shower properly and take care their just need. Make sure
- 36:36Speaker 1: all our kids are fit and all our kids have
- 36:40Speaker 1: the necessities of life for the next several days until
- 36:44Speaker 1: this crisis resides. That's what we're operating right now. So
- 36:48Speaker 1: we're gonna find somewhere, the practice, find somewhere that can
- 36:51Speaker 1: accommodate every dirn thing that we need and desire to
- 36:56Speaker 1: be who we desire to be, and that's dominant. The
- 37:00Speaker 1: devil is a lot you're gonna get us to right now. Yeah,
- 37:09Speaker 1: that's what I do. Appreciate them being proactive in this situation,
- 37:15Speaker 1: and you got some people that's drawing some real light
- 37:17Speaker 1: to this. Seems to be a little bit different response
- 37:21Speaker 1: than what happened in Flint. Oh. I think they just
- 37:26Speaker 1: didn't do enough. If Flint, I don't think they acted acquarterly.
- 37:32Speaker 1: We have the money in this country, so this type
- 37:35Speaker 1: of thing can be avoided. But we the first and
- 37:39Speaker 1: foremost thing of level of importance in this country is money.
- 37:43Speaker 1: Oh and to prove it on the money, it says
- 37:48Speaker 1: in God we trust. But they just put that on
- 37:51Speaker 1: their symbolism. They but they put that on their money.
- 37:57Speaker 1: Certainly started out that way. That was a dead giveaway
- 38:00Speaker 1: right there. You know, they got a constitution beween in
- 38:04Speaker 1: that hour. So and Steve, FEMA and the EPA are
- 38:09Speaker 1: helping to expedite the delivery of the equipment for emergency
- 38:14Speaker 1: repairs at the City of Jackson water treatment facility. So
- 38:17Speaker 1: they are trying to do something. Yeah, yeah, they really do. Yeah.
- 38:25Speaker 1: Necessity for survival. Yeah, absolutely, you gotta drink it, use
- 38:31Speaker 1: it to wash, I mean, yeah, of course, for sure.
- 38:36Speaker 1: But at least you know they're on it. Like you said, Steve,
- 38:39Speaker 1: they're on it. Coming up. At thirty four minutes after
- 38:42Speaker 1: the hour, it's voicemail time. It is time to check
- 38:46Speaker 1: your voicemail Steve eight seven seven twenty nine, Steve. If
- 38:50Speaker 1: you want to call and leave Steve a voicemail eight
- 38:52Speaker 1: seven seven twenty nine, Steve is the number. We'll check yours.
- 38:56Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to Harvey Morning All right, Steven,
- 39:02Speaker 1: it's time to check your voicemail and if you want
- 39:05Speaker 1: to leave Steve a message, call them eight seven seven
- 39:08Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve, eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve. Operators
- 39:12Speaker 1: are standing by. I know they're note. I just wanted
- 39:14Speaker 1: to say that this is a caller as a voicemail.
- 39:17Speaker 1: It's a voicemail, right, it's a voicemail caller, Steve. This
- 39:22Speaker 1: caller left a message for us and to the Georgia voters.
- 39:26Speaker 1: For us and the Georgia voters. Good morning, Steve Harvey
- 39:30Speaker 1: and the staff. I just want to ask you if
- 39:32Speaker 1: you could please start putting out about voting for the
- 39:36Speaker 1: mid term stake you. Abrams is behind and we need
- 39:39Speaker 1: to get her pumped up. If nothing else, invite her
- 39:41Speaker 1: to this show and that way that may help her
- 39:45Speaker 1: becoming the next government Georgia. We need her. Thank you
- 39:48Speaker 1: very much. It's a pleasant day. By bye. Stacy. Abrams
- 39:52Speaker 1: is always invited on this show. She has a standard invitation. Oh,
- 39:58Speaker 1: the producers of this show have reached out and we've
- 40:01Speaker 1: had several times. So she's coming and we will not
- 40:05Speaker 1: fail in the voting process. Sister. Don't even worry. Don't
- 40:08Speaker 1: even worry. But we know our people. Now we're talking
- 40:11Speaker 1: about because I know you probably can't listen to the
- 40:14Speaker 1: radio show all day, but we do give out the
- 40:17Speaker 1: voting website. Yes, we do talk about being aware of
- 40:21Speaker 1: the new changes, but we also know it's August and
- 40:27Speaker 1: we know how to reach the people that we reach,
- 40:30Speaker 1: so we know in September October, we're gonna crank it up. Well,
- 40:34Speaker 1: it's September one today, you know what I mean. See,
- 40:37Speaker 1: we can't you see, you can't go too early because
- 40:40Speaker 1: people they just they get tied a hitting and they
- 40:43Speaker 1: hit the same thing, so they tune it out. I'm
- 40:45Speaker 1: gonna do that. I'm gonna do it. We got to
- 40:47Speaker 1: create a sense of urgency, so we have a timeline
- 40:50Speaker 1: where we start cranking it up. But there's a science
- 40:52Speaker 1: to this. Due to analytics we've learned over the years,
- 40:55Speaker 1: twenty years of doing this, we know when to start
- 40:58Speaker 1: making major announcements. We know how we got warn at
- 41:01Speaker 1: can ass off in last time. That's right, and when
- 41:05Speaker 1: we're running again. Yeah, thank you? All right. Another caller
- 41:11Speaker 1: from Canada loves your inspirational messages. Steve. Good morning, Steve,
- 41:15Speaker 1: it's your girl. Yes, men from Toronto Canada, just calling
- 41:19Speaker 1: in to say I love the show. I've been a
- 41:21Speaker 1: listener for years, and what I really appreciate is the
- 41:28Speaker 1: thought of the day. No matter where i'm at, I
- 41:32Speaker 1: literally run to the radio and everybody knows at that
- 41:36Speaker 1: time that I'm just focused. I listen and I take
- 41:41Speaker 1: you know, whatever you have said in and it really
- 41:45Speaker 1: really helps me, especially I've just lost my father and
- 41:51Speaker 1: my dad and I actually used to listen to you
- 41:53Speaker 1: on the radio. So I just want to say thank you, family,
- 41:56Speaker 1: thank you for everyone in a world that has so
- 42:01Speaker 1: much negativity. Thank you for bringing the positives. God bless you. Steve.
- 42:06Speaker 1: Keep doing what you're doing, and I just want to
- 42:10Speaker 1: say thank you. I heard it so far. Thank you. Yeah. Well,
- 42:14Speaker 1: you're absolutely welcome, and we try to do our best,
- 42:17Speaker 1: but we appreciate the encouragement because sometimes you don't know
- 42:21Speaker 1: that you're reaching people because we're on the radio here.
- 42:24Speaker 1: It's not like we get every day. We know exactly
- 42:26Speaker 1: what we did, so we're just doing it now. On
- 42:29Speaker 1: a lighter note, when she tuned in and said, hey, Steve,
- 42:34Speaker 1: this your girl. Ye ask me, I just like to say,
- 42:37Speaker 1: I don't have a girl named you asked me? In Cathain.
- 42:39Speaker 1: So I just wanted to be clear out that. Ye
- 42:43Speaker 1: want to clear that up for the shade room, Yeah,
- 42:48Speaker 1: the black cold and right on all of that. Yeah,
- 42:53Speaker 1: I just want to clear that up for that kid
- 42:55Speaker 1: rolling down the here and yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah.
- 43:01Speaker 1: Let me blow the snow off that ball. Yeah yeah,
- 43:06Speaker 1: I just wanted to say that. Thank you, all right,
- 43:09Speaker 1: I don't thank you all right, last call, Steve. Let's
- 43:12Speaker 1: hear it, Hey, Steve in the game. This is Dennis
- 43:15Speaker 1: Tall and you something Lithonia where we put it on
- 43:17Speaker 1: you Georgia. This message is actually for Shirley and Carla.
- 43:20Speaker 1: Shirley and Carla never stopped laughing. You two have the
- 43:23Speaker 1: most inspectious laughs at radio. I got in my car
- 43:26Speaker 1: the other day and you were laughing and I just
- 43:28Speaker 1: thought of laughing. Didn't even know what you were laughing about.
- 43:30Speaker 1: But always keep that good, positive, wonderful energy in those lasts, Steve,
- 43:35Speaker 1: Tommy Junior, y'all need Jesus. That's all you need Jesus.
- 43:41Speaker 1: Yes mine too, but yeah we do need Gess. I
- 43:44Speaker 1: ain't gonna lae to you. I'm just going alone. Thank
- 43:48Speaker 1: you for all the calls. Coming up next, Junior, in
- 43:51Speaker 1: for the nephew with today's frank phone call. Right after this,
- 43:54Speaker 1: you're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up at the
- 43:59Speaker 1: time of the hour. Right about four minutes after, it's
- 44:02Speaker 1: my Strawberry letter for today, the subject he called me
- 44:06Speaker 1: a call girl. We'll get into that in just a
- 44:10Speaker 1: bit find out what that's all about. But right now,
- 44:13Speaker 1: Junior is in for the nephew with today's praying phone call.
- 44:16Speaker 1: What you got for is Junior? You know what? Surely? Yeah.
- 44:19Speaker 1: I think about these situations. People stand up, they come
- 44:22Speaker 1: to church and they just confess about what they need
- 44:24Speaker 1: in life and everything, and you know, and Tommy found
- 44:28Speaker 1: somebody like that, and here it is. You prayed for
- 44:30Speaker 1: a job. You prayed for a job. Hello, I'm trying
- 44:37Speaker 1: to reach a Carol and please hi Carol, and listen.
- 44:42Speaker 1: My name is Lawrence. Lawrence I actually go to the
- 44:45Speaker 1: same church you do. I saw you last Sunday where
- 44:48Speaker 1: you stood up in the church and I heard that
- 44:50Speaker 1: you were talking about you going through some bad times
- 44:54Speaker 1: or your job supposedly got rid of the department that
- 44:57Speaker 1: you're in and you were now seeking a new type
- 45:01Speaker 1: of work. Am I right? Yes, just just just work.
- 45:04Speaker 1: Period because you're looking for a new occupation and you
- 45:06Speaker 1: I was there when you asked everybody to pray for you.
- 45:09Speaker 1: Have you Have you found anything yet? I haven't. An
- 45:13Speaker 1: I've been praying up. We prayed again today. I asked
- 45:16Speaker 1: for the churches pars again today. And the thing's gonna
- 45:20Speaker 1: work out because you know, he said you take one step,
- 45:21Speaker 1: you're gonna take two. That's right. I'm trapping and I
- 45:24Speaker 1: know what's going to happen. I know, well, listen, I
- 45:26Speaker 1: think I may be able to be of some help
- 45:28Speaker 1: to you. I actually own my own company, and I'm
- 45:32Speaker 1: thinking that you could be the perfect person for a
- 45:34Speaker 1: position that I have available. Now, what what type of
- 45:37Speaker 1: work were you doing in the past. Give me some
- 45:39Speaker 1: of your job qualifications. I'm executive secretary, administrative assistance anything
- 45:44Speaker 1: like that ever was a minute. They even take the
- 45:48Speaker 1: old star shorthand do at all. You just said what
- 45:51Speaker 1: you need, and I can do it. Take out your
- 45:52Speaker 1: executives to come through the office, anything that's needed, travel expenses,
- 45:58Speaker 1: That's what I do. Okay. Two? What type of hours
- 46:02Speaker 1: are you used to working nine to five from Sometimes
- 46:05Speaker 1: I'll come in at hey, I'll have a problem becoming
- 46:07Speaker 1: at eight. I'm coming even earlier if you need me
- 46:08Speaker 1: be coming earlier. Are you opposed to working at night? No?
- 46:11Speaker 1: I don't have a working at night. I mean it
- 46:14Speaker 1: just it just appens, you know, right now burgers can't
- 46:16Speaker 1: be choosing I ask him, and have been given to me. Okay, well,
- 46:20Speaker 1: what kind of looking at I have a I have
- 46:23Speaker 1: a an offer for you that it would be Thursday,
- 46:26Speaker 1: Friday and Saturday night. You will only be working three
- 46:28Speaker 1: days a week for me, okay, just from I was
- 46:32Speaker 1: looking for separately a female out of a female days
- 46:34Speaker 1: and he like full time. I have a family, well
- 46:37Speaker 1: a day right right, I understand, But listen, I think
- 46:40Speaker 1: the actual amount will suffice for that. Now, I'm going
- 46:44Speaker 1: to offer you seven hundred and fifty dollars per night
- 46:48Speaker 1: for three nights a week. That's that's two thousand, two
- 46:50Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars for for for those three days
- 46:54Speaker 1: for one week early und seven hundred fifty dollars a
- 47:00Speaker 1: night and around something you're making a week man, And
- 47:07Speaker 1: if you do the math on that, that adds up
- 47:09Speaker 1: to about nine thousand dollars four month. Good to be true,
- 47:15Speaker 1: But now I put rilling was in I turned it
- 47:18Speaker 1: earlier that we expectedly, I did it and in eachurn
- 47:21Speaker 1: on seven hundred fifty dollars A nine. Okay, I mean
- 47:24Speaker 1: I doing the books, you know, because I drive the
- 47:27Speaker 1: accountant too. Well, let me say this, and now the
- 47:29Speaker 1: reason why I say it's at night is because I
- 47:31Speaker 1: own a nightclub, and and you would be working at
- 47:36Speaker 1: the nightclub for me, and so you would put in
- 47:37Speaker 1: about four or five hours every night, and and for
- 47:42Speaker 1: three nights a week like I stayed at Thursday, Friday, Saturday.
- 47:44Speaker 1: And and of course i'll pay you seven hundred and
- 47:47Speaker 1: fifty mint of fact, I'll actually pay you your first
- 47:49Speaker 1: two weeks in advance. And I I'm sure you you
- 47:54Speaker 1: know you've you've launched your balance. You need to get
- 47:56Speaker 1: back on your feet and everything. Yes, yes, yes, okay, UM,
- 48:00Speaker 1: so exactly little you know. I'll be doing it because
- 48:02Speaker 1: I'm sure like I can do office work. I'm good
- 48:05Speaker 1: like accounting. You tell me a clip front door, I
- 48:09Speaker 1: can keep your books going right? Well, no, not necessarily,
- 48:12Speaker 1: I don't need you to work the front door. Um,
- 48:14Speaker 1: I'm actually gonna have you in the club working, okay. So, um,
- 48:19Speaker 1: I mean how are you how's your physical condition? Are
- 48:22Speaker 1: you able to get around and you don't get tired quick?
- 48:24Speaker 1: Do you? Now? Are you in good physical shape, very
- 48:27Speaker 1: good set, don't get tied quick at all. You need
- 48:31Speaker 1: to do something like be able to bartenders or something
- 48:33Speaker 1: to work to the bar to make sure the moneys
- 48:35Speaker 1: here nobody's stilling money from your something. No, no, no,
- 48:37Speaker 1: you're not at the bar either. See, because what I'm
- 48:40Speaker 1: gonna do now, have you ever done anything like, you know,
- 48:42Speaker 1: anything close to dance or anything like that. Have you
- 48:45Speaker 1: done that in the past? I do live balat when
- 48:48Speaker 1: I was younger, Uh, trial squat cheering. I mean, do
- 48:53Speaker 1: you know, go wad ever want in a while? You know,
- 48:55Speaker 1: you do the dancing here and there? Okay, well the
- 48:57Speaker 1: problem moving around? Okay, Well that's good because see what
- 49:00Speaker 1: what I wanted you to do is I want you
- 49:02Speaker 1: to do a little bit of dancing in the club.
- 49:06Speaker 1: You have something like ballroom dancing or something that you
- 49:08Speaker 1: need to teach you. I don't want to do the ballroom.
- 49:10Speaker 1: I can't work with nobody on this stuff like that. No,
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'm not asking you to do any uh ballroom dancing
- 49:17Speaker 1: anything like that. What I need you to do it
- 49:18Speaker 1: I want you to dance on the pole. On the pole.
- 49:23Speaker 1: See I have a strip club. I want you to
- 49:25Speaker 1: dance on the pole. Potter dancing my part? Well, actually
- 49:31Speaker 1: I own um the silk Stocking, which is a strip club.
- 49:35Speaker 1: I'm not a stilk stocking. Look that heaving me. You
- 49:39Speaker 1: don't want me dus. You must watch your mine. I
- 49:44Speaker 1: bring my poet to mother body that room name. But
- 49:54Speaker 1: don't you want to make this money? I got seven
- 49:55Speaker 1: hundred and fifty dollars a night for you. I don't
- 49:57Speaker 1: believe there's some money you write you're a polar bears.
- 50:01Speaker 1: We can take that polar service up to be. You
- 50:04Speaker 1: have no business calling me about no birth and I'm
- 50:07Speaker 1: no pardon I leave government church. I'm trying to get
- 50:10Speaker 1: you a job. Baby. They told me that you was
- 50:12Speaker 1: in need of a job, so I'm just trying to
- 50:13Speaker 1: need that. I'm not need return a job. I'm not
- 50:16Speaker 1: needing no jows. I'm taking off my bad I'm rowing

- 50:20Speaker 1: And Paulos want you Okay, what if I bumped up
- 50:22Speaker 1: to a thousand? I don't take two three ft five thousand.

- 51:03Speaker 1: a minute, Carol, I want to say this. This is
- 51:05Speaker 1: Nephew timing from the ste Harvey Morning Show. You just
- 51:09Speaker 1: got pranked by your cousin, Ravenna, my cousin. I need
- 51:22Speaker 1: some money. We never see it's something wrong. Man. Really,
- 51:37Speaker 1: you can't like how he expect to get in. I
- 51:40Speaker 1: don't know how he's specting to get on him, Like
- 51:42Speaker 1: how is that aspectation? Like I'm just gonna walk up
- 51:46Speaker 1: to the gate and just hold my chests out and
- 51:48Speaker 1: I'm walking in. It's me o lord, yeah, oh my god,
- 51:54Speaker 1: prayed for a job, ladies, stands up and what's the job?
- 51:57Speaker 1: You call her talking about being an exotic dancing What
- 51:59Speaker 1: is ship? She didn't say what kind of job? Yeah,

- 52:25Speaker 1: telling you what you're gonna do. You could expect that
- 52:27Speaker 1: Chris rock slapped to be on this list. You got

- 53:14Speaker 1: a call girl. We'll get into it right after this.
- 53:17Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It is
- 53:22Speaker 1: time now for today's Strawberry Letter, and listen. If you
- 53:25Speaker 1: need advice on relationships, on work, on sex, on parenting,
- 53:29Speaker 1: on dating, please please please submit your Strawberry Letter to
- 53:34Speaker 1: Steve HARVEYSM dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. We
- 53:39Speaker 1: could be reading your letter live on the air, just
- 53:41Speaker 1: like we're gonna read this one right here, right now,
- 53:44Speaker 1: and you never know it could be yours. Yeah, right, Shirley, Ladies,
- 53:48Speaker 1: gentlemen's time for the Strawberry Letter. Well, my good friend,
- 53:51Speaker 1: Shirley Strawberry, all right, thank you, my good friend Junior.
- 53:56Speaker 1: Subject subject he called me a call girl. Dear Stephen, Shirley.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I'm a forty one year old entrepreneur and I own
- 54:04Speaker 1: a brokerage firm. I'm dating a four year old, forty
- 54:07Speaker 1: year old former pro athlete and we met three years ago.
- 54:11Speaker 1: He's a coach and he owns a laundromat. I have
- 54:14Speaker 1: my own house and he has his own house. I
- 54:17Speaker 1: was driving a small sports car when I met him,
- 54:19Speaker 1: and he suggested I get an SUV for all of
- 54:22Speaker 1: my yard signs and stuff for my business. I was
- 54:25Speaker 1: fine driving my little BMW, but for my fortieth birthday,
- 54:30Speaker 1: he surprised me with a twenty twenty two SUV. He
- 54:34Speaker 1: loves giving gifts and I love getting them, but it's
- 54:37Speaker 1: the commentary after the gift that bothers me. I wasn't
- 54:41Speaker 1: wearing designer labels before I met him, but he loves
- 54:45Speaker 1: to buy them for me, so I let him. He
- 54:48Speaker 1: has flurged on overpriced designer shoes and purses for me
- 54:51Speaker 1: since we met. He said, I have to look a
- 54:54Speaker 1: certain way to represent him properly. He loves to brag
- 54:58Speaker 1: about whatever he spends money on. Over the weekend, he
- 55:02Speaker 1: went too far with the bragging, and now we're not speaking.
- 55:06Speaker 1: We were at a rooftop bar on Sunday with three
- 55:08Speaker 1: other couples, and the males moved away from the female
- 55:12Speaker 1: so they could smoke cigars. They were still an earshot
- 55:15Speaker 1: of where we were sitting, and I overheard my man
- 55:18Speaker 1: say that I'm the black Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman,
- 55:21Speaker 1: and he has spent a lot of money on me
- 55:23Speaker 1: so I can be as fly as he is. He
- 55:26Speaker 1: said I was worth every bit of it because he
- 55:28Speaker 1: plans to marry me. I went over to him and
- 55:31Speaker 1: cursed him out. One of his boys told me that
- 55:34Speaker 1: I'm focused on the wrong part of what my man said.
- 55:37Speaker 1: He told me to focus on the fact that my
- 55:39Speaker 1: guy wants to marry me. But how can I when
- 55:42Speaker 1: he compared me to a prostitute from a movie. You
- 55:47Speaker 1: feel the way you feel. That's okay, your feelings are valid.
- 55:51Speaker 1: But I really think that the anger you have towards
- 55:54Speaker 1: your man and what made you curse him out at
- 55:56Speaker 1: the party was a build up of all the things
- 55:59Speaker 1: that get on your nerves about him. You've got a
- 56:02Speaker 1: big bragger on your hands. He's someone that is generous,
- 56:06Speaker 1: and how he buys nice things for you, but selfish,
- 56:09Speaker 1: and how he needs so much attention and credit for
- 56:11Speaker 1: doing that. When you do things for people, especially for
- 56:15Speaker 1: your mate, it should be from the heart because you
- 56:17Speaker 1: want to do it, and gratitude and appreciation should be
- 56:21Speaker 1: all the thanks you need. Although you love getting the gifts,
- 56:25Speaker 1: you're not even into all these expensive designer things. That
- 56:30Speaker 1: is what he wants you to wear because he wants
- 56:33Speaker 1: you to represent him in a certain way. So I
- 56:36Speaker 1: think you were just sick of all his bragging and
- 56:39Speaker 1: saying you were the black Julie Roberts was the last
- 56:41Speaker 1: straw for you, and you just let him have it.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I mean, clearly he's clueless because in the same sentence
- 56:48Speaker 1: he said he wanted to marry you. I really don't
- 56:51Speaker 1: think he was knowingly saying you were a prostitute or
- 56:54Speaker 1: anything like that. He was just bragging so much he
- 56:57Speaker 1: got caught up and says something real stupid at the time.
- 57:01Speaker 1: So tell him how you feel about his bragging. Tell
- 57:04Speaker 1: him you don't like it and you want him to stop.
- 57:06Speaker 1: But but know that this is who he is before
- 57:09Speaker 1: you get married, and he'll only change if he wants
- 57:12Speaker 1: to change for you. But you know know that you're
- 57:15Speaker 1: not the black Julie Roberts. You're not a prostitute, Okay,
- 57:18Speaker 1: And I don't think he really meant that. I really don't, Steve, Lady, relax,
- 57:25Speaker 1: you find the mess up. Listen to me, lady, you
- 57:29Speaker 1: find the mess up? You overheard No, I'll wait till
- 57:32Speaker 1: I get there. You forty one, you're entrepreneur, you own
- 57:34Speaker 1: a broken form. You're dating a former pro athlete. Met
- 57:38Speaker 1: three years ago. He's a coach. He got a laundry man.
- 57:42Speaker 1: You got your own house, He got his own house.
- 57:45Speaker 1: He was driving a small sports call when you met him.
- 57:47Speaker 1: He suggests you get an SUV for all your yards,
- 57:50Speaker 1: signs and stuff for your business. Makes sense to me,
- 57:53Speaker 1: but I was fine driving my little BMW. See see
- 57:57Speaker 1: right here, Now here's where you. I don't want you
- 58:00Speaker 1: to miss what's happening. Your man actually has an interest
- 58:04Speaker 1: in what you do for a living, unlike some people
- 58:07Speaker 1: who don't give it, dawn, what you do. They just
- 58:09Speaker 1: want what they want. But now he said, you are
- 58:12Speaker 1: to get an suv, so when you're going around in
- 58:15Speaker 1: the Brokish firm, you can have your signs and stuff
- 58:18Speaker 1: in the car. Oh, I was firing with my little
- 58:20Speaker 1: Yeah you was. But then guess what for your fortieth birthday?
- 58:24Speaker 1: He surprised you with a twenty twenty two suv. He
- 58:29Speaker 1: bought you and fulfill the need that he saw his
- 58:34Speaker 1: woman needed. He loves giving gifts and I love getting them.
- 58:41Speaker 1: So far sound like we win it, But it's the
- 58:44Speaker 1: commentary after the gift that bothers me. I wasn't wearing
- 58:48Speaker 1: design of labels before I met him, but he loves
- 58:51Speaker 1: to buy them for me, so I let him. Yeah. See,
- 58:54Speaker 1: you wasn't buying designer stuff, but now he buying it
- 58:58Speaker 1: for you. You weren't into that, but you let him.
- 59:01Speaker 1: You know why, because it looked good. You know why,
- 59:04Speaker 1: because it feel good. You know why because it makes
- 59:07Speaker 1: you look and feel a certain way when you got
- 59:09Speaker 1: it on. That's why you buy the stuff. He has
- 59:13Speaker 1: splurged on. Overpriced designer shoes. Listen to me, lady. They're
- 59:19Speaker 1: not overpriced. That's how much they cost. See, they're not
- 59:24Speaker 1: overpriced for what they are. Pay Less exists, so you
- 59:30Speaker 1: can pay less Nieman Mark because mono Oblonic, Christian Lubertan
- 59:36Speaker 1: they don't have that. But then pay less shoes don't
- 59:41Speaker 1: look like Milano and Christian Lubertins. They don't look like that.
- 59:47Speaker 1: Look if a damn what you do? Hang on, Steven bad? Now?
- 59:51Speaker 1: What do you other? Like? What are you mad for her?
- 59:55Speaker 1: What for what? We'll have two of Steve's response coming
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: up at twenty three minutes after the hour. The topic
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: for today's Strawberry Letter is the subject he called me
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: a call girl. We'll get back into it. Right after
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: this calm down, you're listening show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject he called me
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: a call girl. All Shirley wants me to calm down
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: and not be angry in my response. So he is
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: less attempted. He is this woman that's an entrepreneur, how
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: a homebroker, our drives a small BMW started dating a
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: former athlete. He's a coach, got a laundry match. He's
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: an entrepreneur. He fought failed for this woman right away
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: and started showing an interest in her and said, hey,
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: you ought to get it by suv instead of driving
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: this little sports car round for your business. I was
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: fine driving a sports car round, But on her fortieth
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: birthday he's surprised it with a brand new twenty twenty
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: two suv. Oh bow, She liked it. Man for the guy,
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: so far, we're winning, as I said, uh. And then
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: he loves giving gifts and I love getting them. Okay,
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: shut your mouth and keep taking the gifts. What's wrong?
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: And then but it's the commentary after the gift that
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: bothers me. Everybody ain't perfect something come with everything? You know?
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: I don't I don't really care for being famous sometime,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: but when they hand me my check, I shut my
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: damn mouth and gonna gets back to being famous. Okay,
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: almost started, get loud again, Go back. I wasn't wearing
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: design of labels before I met him, but he loves
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: to buy them for me, so I let him. Oh,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: now you wants to wear the product the louis VATM.
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: Now you like stuff up Berkins, and now you likes
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: the Christian Louberton's and the milanas and your life getting now,
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: don't you? And the Jimmy shoes, Yeah, you like it.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: He has splurged on overpriced design the shoes. Stop saying
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: they're not overpriced. These is what these shoes cost, and
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: them is what them shoes cost. They not overpriced. That's
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: just that's what them shoes over their cost. They charge
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: that for a reason. Them is Shawaska crystals on that shoe.
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: That's why they up there. That's real leather, that's crock
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: on the toil. That ain't the frick. Okay, come back
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: down and buys persons for me. Since we met, he said,
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: I have to look a certain way to represent him properly.
- 1:02:52Speaker 1: That's just a man being a little braggish. I'll admit that,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: but you know, I want you to be out there
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: when you're out there with me. In other words, for
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: he's saying is he want to make sure he looked
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: like the man he's supposed to look like by having
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: the woman he got. And if he ain't taking care
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: of his business, he know his woman can't look like
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: she taking care of her business because this man's job
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: to provide. That's what he leaning home. He loves to
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: brag about whatever he spends money on. Over the weekend,
- 1:03:19Speaker 1: he went a little bit too far bragging and now
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: we're not speaking. We had a rooftop ball on Sunday,
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: three couples. He moved over to the female. They moved
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: away from the female so they can smoke cigars. They
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: were still an inshot. When sitting I overheard my man say,
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: I'm the black Julia Roberts from Pretty Woman, and he
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: has spent a lot of money on me so I
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: could be as flies he is. And he said it's
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: worth every bit of it because he plans to marry me.
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: I went over to him and cussed him out. What
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: First of all, I never saw pretty Woman. I don't
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: know What the hell you talking about? You never saw that?
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: You see that? Yeah? Yeah, what's the Richard here? How
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: has that changed your life? It made you believe in
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: fairy tales and romance again? Yes? Okay, well I didn't
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: watch the movie, but she didn't went over and custom
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: out because he said that. Then one of his boys
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: tried to save it as he should and told me,
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: I'm focused on the wrong part of what my man says.
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: He told me to focus on the fact that the
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: guy wants to marry me. The analogy is unimportant. He
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: don't even know what he realized. He probably don't even
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: realize what he said. You the black Julian Robert like,
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: he compared me to a prostitute from a movie. Black dude,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: don't even be knowing all that right there. All he
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: know is you fine to him, and he's willing to
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: put everything he got into you because you're worth it
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: and he wants to marry you. How to hell are
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: you man? Ain't speaking to him? Damn, Julia Robinson, you're
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: stupid ass man don't know movie analogy? What's her name,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Julia Roberts, He does no movie and analogy because that's
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: what he said, and that's what happened in the movie. Movie.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: That's exactly what happened in the movie. He married her, Yeah,
- 1:05:14Speaker 1: and yeah they were together. They lead you to believe
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: that he just told him for men. She was a
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: prostitute in the movie. She was a prostitute in the
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: movie No Here to part y'all missing to him. She
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: was the pretty woman in the movie. That Robert, that's
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: what pretty woman in the movie was. Listen to me,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: he mocked, Julia Roberts, My pretty woman, ain't no man.
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: If the man no prostitute. Richard Gear he white in white.
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: That's a man's driving force. And when we get around
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: each other, I definition what we do, who we are,
- 1:06:01Speaker 1: and how much we make. And he talking trash with
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: his boys. You was in ear shot. You overheard the
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: conversation between men, and all the men knew was man.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: He feeling huff comments for you lose your man over
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: damn movie analogy because ain't nobody calling you know prostitute?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Damn Post your comments on Today's Strawberry Letter at Steve
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: Harvey f Famine Instagram and as bmdud. Coming up at
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: forty six minutes after the hour, It's Sports Talk with Junior.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: is time now for junior and sports talk. What you
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: got junior? All right, Shirley, Well, let's get to it.
- 1:06:43Speaker 1: John Gruten, the former head coach for the Las Vegas Raiders,
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: is back in the news. He was. You know, he
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: had an email scandal. It happened last season when he
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: lost his job. Yeah, he fired him because of the
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: races and anti gay comments and the misogynistic stuff. He said. Right, well,
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: he says, he says, you know, I'm a good person,
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: and uh, I am a little bit shamed about the email,
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: but I am a good person, he says. I go
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: to church. I've been married thirty one years. I got
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: some great boys, and I still love football. And we
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: all need forgiveness. And who ain't made some mistakes in
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: this room? These you say when you get caught with emails? Yeah. Yeah,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: So he's hoping to be a head coach and get
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: in the NFL. I don't see it they're gonna do that,
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: you know, man. I liked John Gruben. I liked him
- 1:07:31Speaker 1: a lot. I was a big fan of his with
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: the Quarterback Club. He did all the stuff he did
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: on TV, and then you know the emails came out. Man,
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: you'd be stunned. How many people write like that when
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: they think they're impride right right him? Now, you know
- 1:07:44Speaker 1: he can't be the only one in the NFL. Then
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: said something like this, it's the NFL and we know that. Man.
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: You can read some of them owner email. Man, that'd
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: be something need to hit before hit the wire. Also, Man,
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: I got to give a shout out to Prime Man.
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: Then Sanders Man down to Jesson State Man. You know
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: Jan sitting some rules for the players that he's coaching.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: He says, Hey, when we go to class, now we
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: ain't wearing no white beaters, don't put no slippers on.
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: I'm raising men, not boys. So that's the new rules
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: for the Jack State football team. They saying, like, is
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: that too far from prompt? To take it too far
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: for him that had say this to these No, no,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: ain't he got sitting in front of the class dressed
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: like you going somewhere. Good. Yeah, don't sit them there
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: and look like you ain't going nowhere, like you ain't
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: serious about this. No more white beaters, are no more
- 1:08:33Speaker 1: flip flops. Yeah, we're going to school, man, he's trying
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: to do something to turn these people into exceptional people.
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: You got exceptional people do exceptional things, period. Now, if
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: you want to be regular, just do regular stuff. Now.
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: Up that with the sitting in front of the class
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: bother you up? Could you? You? Could you have done that? Up? No?
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: I can't. I can sit there, but you know, you know,
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: the professor. The professor gonna have to deal with it. Participation. Yea,
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna sitting the front. I'm still not raising my
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: head and I'm still sleep I just played football. At
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: this point, my reaction to them graphs is gonna be
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: the Sime sleep man. I got closed my heart, my head.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: I saw sports talk today. I just want to see
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: the clan. Yeah all right, junior, thank you. All right.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Coming up at the top of the hour, we're gonna
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: discuss the dating scene how it is now Ladies, should
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you ask a man for a financial help to support
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: your lifestyle? We'll talk about it right after this. What's
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: wrong with that? You're listening to show? All right, So
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: there's a topic circulating on social media. Uh, many of
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: us have experienced the dating scene. Okay, before we you
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: were married and all of that stuff and a lot
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: of women expect men to pay for the check, help
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: with their bills, their rent, their groceries, nails, hair bags,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: cell phones, etc. And on the other hand, some men
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: feel like just because we're dating or in a relationship
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: that they shouldn't have to help with your bills or
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: help you keep up with a certain lifestyle. We're in
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: this together. I should get something from you and you
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: should get something from me. So, Steve, we got to
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: ask you, as you are our chief love officer, well
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: what do you think about this? I mean it's different. Now,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: it's a true statement that everybody should get something from
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: the relationship. Now, if the relationship has progressed and it
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: looks like you are planning a future together, if you
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: are having any talks are plans of having a future together,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: Why would you align yourself with someone who's not willing
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: or looking forward to taking care of you. And that
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: goes for both the man and the woman, because if
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: this is going to lead to something up the road,
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: like we're planning on a life together, then we should
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: be planning on the life where we become one and
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: we take care of one another. Now, there's an antige
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: that a coach once said, you play the game like
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: you practice. If you've had no practice with taking care
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: of one another, what makes you think after the wedding day,
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: all of us sudden you're gonna want to take care
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: of each other. It doesn't make any sense because there
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: would be plenty of opportunities during the dating process to
- 1:11:50Speaker 1: show your ability or your willingness to take care of
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: one another. So it is a two way street. But
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: you can't expect something that you're not willing to give.
- 1:12:08Speaker 1: I can't expect to get rich if I don't go
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: to work. I can't expect to make it across the
- 1:12:16Speaker 1: other end of that swimming pool unless I didn't took
- 1:12:19Speaker 1: some swimming lessons. I can't expect to play golf and
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: part this hole if I ain't been out there practicing.
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: M You can't make eight out of ten free throws
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: just by walking up to the line. Somebody got to
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: practice making these free throws. So so how so, yeah,
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: you can get all of that if I can't get
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: what I need. Okay, So yeah, you're saying it's a
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: it's an even exchange or something. It's there. It has
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: to be an exchange, and exchange is unreasonable and unfair
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: to walk in thinking somebody just posted to take care
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: of your hair, your nails and buy you bags. If
- 1:13:08Speaker 1: he wants you to look a certain way, how was
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: you looking before you met it? Just because y'all star
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: dating doesn't mean that he has to come in and
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: take over all these responsibilities all of a sudden with
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: nothing in it for him. What you're saying over time
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: and we want different things men and women, right this
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: this may be what women want. What do men want?
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: You know you so you can take care of me?
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: Walt support, Men won't loyalty and men won't respect m
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: Love ain't at the top of the list with us.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Where where does love fall? It's somewhere in the top folk, yea,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: in the top four. But if you're loyal to us
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: and respect us, that's what that's what we consider love. Yeah,
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: did you belong to us and we belong to you
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: that you gonna respect us and you're gonna support us
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: and be loyal to us, and you can help me
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: get the way I'm trying to get to in life.
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: You must love me. But those are the things we're
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: looking for. Love is not at the top of the list,
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: all right in empty handed Okay, Hello, Rent is due, Okay,
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: all right, We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: Show coming up at about twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Right after this. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: All right, guys, This Monday is a Labor Day. That's right.

- 1:14:47Speaker 1: celebrates the contributions American workers have made to the strength, prosperity,
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: and well being of our country. Many Americans view Labor
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Day as the unofficial end to summer. That is true,
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: especially because we all in most cases get the day off.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: In most cases, uh, we celebrate cookouts, parades, or a
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: weekend getaway. So enjoy your yeah, official end to the
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: summer because it is coming to a close and we're
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: gonna jump into fall. Steve, what does your Labor Day
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: weekend look like? Here? Well, I'm celebrating this Labor Day

- 1:15:34Speaker 1: be over there, Mama trying to turn it up. You've

- 1:15:54Speaker 1: they got a casino over there. Uh huh, yes, already
- 1:15:58Speaker 1: pulled girl, have fun. You don't even was the last
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: time you instead hung out? Hung out? In a while?
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: We spend the time up together Prostate thing up in
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: New York with Robert Smith. Okay, all right, coming up
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: at thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll play another
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: round of would you rather? Right after this you're listening
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: to show time now for a round of would you rather?
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: Would you rather never ever celebrate your birthday again? Or
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: only celebrate your birthday and no other holidays? Would you
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: rather never celebrate your birthday ever again? Or would you
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: rather only celebrate your birthday and no other holidays? Whoop?
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: No you even celebrate your birthday? Or do that mean
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: I'm not gonna hand them all birthday? No? No, I'm
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: killing you off. No, I'm not participating in this with you. Scared.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I don't want to put the wrong thing in the universe.
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: I'm celebrating everything. I don't give a damn be mad
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: at me. You ain't fair. You celebrating your birthday, Christmas,
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: New Years all that? Yea, yea yeah, all right, moving on, Ben,
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: would you rather be handcuffed or blindfolded by your partner.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Maybe you can participate in that. The way the way
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: everything going right now, handcuffs can't happen, way things going
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: right now, I can't. I can't deal with handcuffs blindfold me.
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: But blind folks can. Yeah, yeah, yeah, No. I don't
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: like to feel it feels like I'm going back to jail.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: I don't won't do that in the bedroom with you.
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Even in the bed room, it's just trauma. It's a
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: trigger for me. I can't do that. You don't trust
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: you gotta trust that trust. No, I can't be hand caught. Yeah, okay,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: I'll take the blind fold. I could knock your ass
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: off of me. Yeah, but I'm sitting been here, just holly.
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: I can't grab nobody, no, no, no, no, I got
- 1:18:21Speaker 1: to have my hands free. I got to push you
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: off of me. Get that? What is that? Get that
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: off of me? Would you rather have frequent bad sex
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: or great sex only twice a year? Hey? A lot
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: of bad? Ye? Man, you're gonna give it here. I'll
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: live with it bad. Just bade good sex twice a
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: year great or bad great great sex twice? Ye? Well,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: I pretended before so why not coach you up a
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: little bit. You knocked that out the paw see you tomorrow,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: all right, I think we have time for we don't.
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: All right, listen, that's today's round of would you rather?
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour. It's
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: our last break of the day, and we'll have some
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: clothing from the one and only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: You're listening to show here we are, guys, our last
- 1:19:45Speaker 1: break of the day on this Thursday. Thank you lord.
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: We made it through. Yeah, it was a good day.
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: Yeah week, yep. It is kind of what I want
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: to try something. Okay. I want you all to think
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: of words, because I don't want to give away any
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: think of words that describe are going through something. I
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: want you to think of words that describe going through
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: something or something you've had to overcome. As you give
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: them to me, I want to show you what those
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: words have taught me. I don't know how this is
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: gonna go because we've never done this before anxious and exercise,
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: but that's what it is. I give an example. I
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: often found myself ended up as I've gotten older, of
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: taking all the bitter moments and turning it into sweet
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: moments of taking all my lemons and making lemons. Because
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: out of all of my hardships that I've had, what
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: those hardships did was it's solidified my relationship with God.
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: It forced me to understand more fully what I was
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: capable of. It made me understand what those scriptures were
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: really sane, and it taught me the power of prayer.
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: So hardship really changed my relationship with God. So as
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: the team presents me these words that presented challenge are
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: difficult to them, I would try to put it into
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: words that have changed my life. Junior, you want to start,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: what's the word strong willed? Strong willed? Uh? I had
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: to become strong will because of weak moments. You know
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: that are weak moments that come in your life where
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: it's going to test you in the form of temptation
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: and you're gonna have some weak moments. But when you
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: have those weak moments, it's practiced for you to develop
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: a stronger will. You've got to develop a strong will
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: to overcome temptation. That everybody has temptation and everybody's not
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: gonna You're not gonna win the temptation battle all day,
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: all the time, you're just not gonna do it. You're human.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: But it taught me a lot about strong will in
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: my weak moments. Anybody, Um, yeah, that's good. Hello fear. Fear,
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: Oh well, fear. We've often talked about this. Fear has
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: produced more bravery for me than anything because every time
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: I've mustered up the courage to face my fear, it
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: made me more a brave You know, if you're a
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: fear fearful person or a brave person, that's the direct opposite.
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: But you need to fear to bring out the bravery
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: in you. See, if you're not presented with the things
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: you are afraid of, you don't know what to be
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: brave toward. You follow what I'm saying. I needed to
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: have fearful moment because God needed to show me just
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: how brave I really was. By turning around and facing
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: those fears, it made me understand how brave I actually was.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: See every descending moment, every adverse moment in your life
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: that has an opposite to it, you got to find it.
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: But you become more brave when you face more fears.
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: It's nothing wrong with being afraid. What cripples you is
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: when you don't address the fear when you run from it,
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: for when you turn around and face it, you find
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: out that what you were afraid or wasn't as big
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: as you thought it were. That fear has caused me
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: to discover the bravery in me. You better come on
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: Steve Ball Show. Let me say mountain, Steve mountain. Oh,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: this is a good one for me. This is easy.
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: I often have to thank God for all the mountain
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: I've had to climb, because in climbing the mountain, it
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: gave me the strength and the wisdom. I understand that
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: with Christ, all things is possible. That they ain't a
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: mountain too high that he can't get me over. They
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: ain't an ocean too deep that he can't swim me
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: through that mountain. When I'm climbing mountains, it allows me
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: to understand the real power of God, because sometimes you're
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: standing there looking at that mountain and it just seems
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: so impossible, but you got to start to climb. And
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: every time I started to climb and I've reached the
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: top of one of the mountains, all I could do
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: is say, thank you Lord for giving me the strength
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: to hang in at or reach the top of this mountain.
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Now that has some valleys too. Now, oh yeah, but
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: you don't get to get you don't. You don't get
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: to the mountaintop without going down in the valley. See what,
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: you can't have one without the other. That was very good.
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: I appreciate that, y'all. You know, that's all some of
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: the things that I've learned in my life from adversity.
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: Everything that looks like a bad moment, if you look
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: at it the right way. Like I've always said, behind
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: every moment of adversity, there's a lesson and a blessing.
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: And I thank God that I've learned from all my adversity,
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: all the mountains, all the fear, all of the moments
- 1:25:54Speaker 1: where I needed bravery, all the times I needed to
- 1:25:57Speaker 1: have that strong will. He just kept showing up. I
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: just asked, the Lord shows up for you. It's just
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: we ain't always there for him. Amen to that, y'all.
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: Have a great weekend. Is it time to say that? Check? Yeah,
