- 1:45Speaker 1: to turn turn the water the water. Come come on
- 1:58Speaker 1: your fab it, I sure will. Come morning, everybody, y'all
- 2:05Speaker 1: listening to the voice, Come on dig me now wanted
- 2:08Speaker 1: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Yeah, man boy,
- 2:13Speaker 1: God has been good to me. Man, I can't really
- 2:17Speaker 1: count at all. You can't either, you know. It's all
- 2:20Speaker 1: in perspective. You really can't count all that God has
- 2:24Speaker 1: done for you if you look at every little thing.
- 2:27Speaker 1: It's unbelievable the things He's done for us. How many
- 2:31Speaker 1: times you know we got through something without even talking
- 2:34Speaker 1: to him about it. He just he just blessed us
- 2:37Speaker 1: with it. How many you know? It's just it's so
- 2:40Speaker 1: much that the fact that you wake up in the morning,
- 2:43Speaker 1: the fact that you still have a place to stay,
- 2:45Speaker 1: the fact that you know may be struggling out here.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But guess what, you still going to work. You you know,
- 2:50Speaker 1: you live in check the check, but but you're making
- 2:52Speaker 1: it all. You got all the plates spinning. You know
- 2:55Speaker 1: it's hard. You got a lot of plates spinning, but
- 2:57Speaker 1: you keep him up there somewhere. Every now I near
- 2:59Speaker 1: one break, but he put two more back up there
- 3:01Speaker 1: to look a little bit better. And you got to
- 3:02Speaker 1: get to spending them so it all works. And then
- 3:06Speaker 1: you got a lot of people who just can't seem
- 3:09Speaker 1: to mentally put it together as to you know, why
- 3:15Speaker 1: their life isn't in a position that they wanted to be.
- 3:18Speaker 1: We talked about this oftentimes, but I want to try
- 3:20Speaker 1: another angle with you today. You know, maybe it's you.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Have you ever thought about that? Maybe it's you. Maybe
- 3:31Speaker 1: it's no external force that's at fault, like you keep
- 3:34Speaker 1: making the excuse to be. You know, so many people
- 3:38Speaker 1: I hear, well, if this hadn't have done this, if
- 3:40Speaker 1: he hadn't have done that, if she hadn't have done that,
- 3:43Speaker 1: I would have been further along. I wasted all my time,
- 3:47Speaker 1: my years with this man, and he did this, and
- 3:50Speaker 1: I could have been here, and I could have been there,
- 3:53Speaker 1: and this woman she did this to me. If she
- 3:55Speaker 1: hadn't have done that, I could have been here and
- 3:57Speaker 1: I could have been there. Maybe it's you. Maybe it's
- 4:03Speaker 1: not really that external force that you keep making it
- 4:06Speaker 1: out to be. See, I've done this to myself before.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Once again, I'm talking to you about something I know about.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I've done this to myself before. I've had the reason
- 4:19Speaker 1: I wasn't where I wanted to be. I had it
- 4:23Speaker 1: figured out as some external force. I had worked it
- 4:27Speaker 1: out in my mind. Clearly it wasn't me. Because if
- 4:32Speaker 1: so and so or if this hadn't happened, and if
- 4:35Speaker 1: they hadn't have done this, I would have been further
- 4:38Speaker 1: along up the road. That's what I was saying. But
- 4:41Speaker 1: WOLDO hold on that or learned a valuable lesson? Man, See,
- 4:46Speaker 1: if you don't ever let it go, it's gonna be
- 4:52Speaker 1: hard for you to go. If you don't ever let
- 4:57Speaker 1: it go, it's gonna be hard for you to go.
- 5:01Speaker 1: I was listening to Bishop td Jake's one day, and
- 5:04Speaker 1: I heard him say, you can't drive your car if
- 5:10Speaker 1: you're gonna keep looking in the rearview mirror. You go
- 5:15Speaker 1: outside and try that, try to drive your car. But
- 5:18Speaker 1: keep your eye in the rearview mirror. All you looking
- 5:21Speaker 1: at is where you're being. All you looking at in
- 5:25Speaker 1: that rear view mirrors where you're passed or should have passed,
- 5:28Speaker 1: something you should have moved on from. All you're doing
- 5:31Speaker 1: is looking in that rearview mirror at what happened back there.
- 5:36Speaker 1: If you don't stop looking in the rearview mirror, you're
- 5:39Speaker 1: gonna crash your car over and over and over again.
- 5:45Speaker 1: All you got to slow it down so bad in
- 5:49Speaker 1: order for you to keep looking in that rear view mirror.
- 5:53Speaker 1: If you don't learn to let it go, it's gonna
- 5:58Speaker 1: be hard for you to go forward because you keep
- 6:03Speaker 1: reviewing the past. The past is the past, and I
- 6:08Speaker 1: know it's hard. Man. I watched a show and this
- 6:10Speaker 1: lady said, well, I just can't ever forgive them for that,
- 6:14Speaker 1: or guess what. Guess what God may have already forgiven
- 6:19Speaker 1: that person. That person may be extremely remorseful, could have
- 6:24Speaker 1: gone to God and God and forgiveness for it years ago.
- 6:28Speaker 1: But you you sit here and you keep hanging on
- 6:32Speaker 1: to the back. I can't ever forgive that. Then I
- 6:36Speaker 1: heard Bishop Jakes come on the show one time and
- 6:39Speaker 1: say something that really really struck on. You keep drinking
- 6:43Speaker 1: the poison, waiting on your enemy to die. He said that.
- 6:50Speaker 1: I just shook my head and went, wow, you drinking
- 6:54Speaker 1: the poison waiting on your enemy to die. Revenge is
- 6:59Speaker 1: poor to you. You know, if hatred is poison to you.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Unforgivingness when you won't forgive a person, that person could
- 7:12Speaker 1: be going on with their life, made the right with God.
- 7:16Speaker 1: Don't know how you're feeling. They're skipping through life now.
- 7:19Speaker 1: You make adjustments every time you see them, and it
- 7:21Speaker 1: takes energy. Man, it takes so much energy to hate.
- 7:25Speaker 1: It takes so much energy not to forgive too that
- 7:29Speaker 1: they come in the room. You got to avoid them.
- 7:31Speaker 1: Stay over here, Oh here they come. Now, you got
- 7:34Speaker 1: to make a situation over here. They come into the house.
- 7:37Speaker 1: It's family reunion. Oh here they come. And where they're
- 7:40Speaker 1: gonna be in the basement. I'm going up on the
- 7:42Speaker 1: third floor. I want to go outead and get some barbecue.
- 7:44Speaker 1: She out there at the barbecue, staying, oh lord, I
- 7:46Speaker 1: don't want a barbecue. I just eat to take the salad.
- 7:48Speaker 1: People man take themselves all out of position, trying to
- 7:52Speaker 1: make adjustments, when if you it would simplify your life
- 7:57Speaker 1: if you would let just let it go. Maybe you
- 8:00Speaker 1: ain't where you need to be because of them external
- 8:03Speaker 1: forces altogether. Maybe you're not where you need to be
- 8:07Speaker 1: cause of you. Because you won't let it go, you
- 8:11Speaker 1: won't move forward. Look at this, ladies. Let's say you've
- 8:15Speaker 1: been in a situation with a man for years. It
- 8:19Speaker 1: didn't work out for whatever the reason, it just didn't
- 8:21Speaker 1: work out. I got I got what you say he did.
- 8:25Speaker 1: I got what he did. I got all of that.
- 8:28Speaker 1: YadA YadA YadA. When you get through, did not God
- 8:33Speaker 1: get you through it? Did not he allow you to
- 8:37Speaker 1: survive it? I got you, got some cuts on you,
- 8:42Speaker 1: I got you been a little bit bruised. But did
- 8:44Speaker 1: he not get you through it? So, now that he's
- 8:49Speaker 1: freed you from it, now he didn't went on. He
- 8:50Speaker 1: got a whole other family over that somewhere. He now
- 8:53Speaker 1: he trying to make it right because maybe he learned
- 8:56Speaker 1: the mistake he made and now he trying to be
- 8:58Speaker 1: a better man. He just trying to get it right now.
- 9:01Speaker 1: But you're sitting there holding onto it. You're drinking the poison,
- 9:05Speaker 1: waiting on your enemy to die. So now instead of
- 9:07Speaker 1: you enjoying the blessing of finally being free from a
- 9:10Speaker 1: situation that was not healthy for you. You create an
- 9:13Speaker 1: even more unhealthy situation in your mind by hating, by
- 9:18Speaker 1: having revengeful thoughts, by hoping he fall on his face.
- 9:23Speaker 1: Maybe you're even doing something to the other situation to
- 9:25Speaker 1: make sure they struggle. Oh man, you're drinking the poison,
- 9:30Speaker 1: waiting on your enemy to die. Maybe you ain't where
- 9:33Speaker 1: you ought to be in life, not because of your
- 9:35Speaker 1: external forces, but maybe it's you. If you don't let
- 9:40Speaker 1: it go, it's gonna be hard for you to go.
- 9:44Speaker 1: You can't keep driving your car looking in the rear
- 9:47Speaker 1: view mirror. Come on, man, Forgiveness is not for the
- 9:53Speaker 1: other person. Forgiveness is for you to show. Ladies and gentlemen,
- 10:03Speaker 1: have it, meet it wanting. What am I talking about, Steve?
- 10:08Speaker 1: What are you talking about? I'm talking about attention, undivided
- 10:13Speaker 1: attention yours and everybody you know, because right now to
- 10:20Speaker 1: Steve Harvan Morning Show is on a cracking baby. Good
- 10:23Speaker 1: morning everybody. You welcome to the ride Incredible ride radio.
- 10:28Speaker 1: Don't nobody do it like us? Shirley Strawberry, That is
- 10:31Speaker 1: so true, Steve, Good morning to you and calor food real,
- 10:37Speaker 1: good morning, Steve. What's up crew, ladies and gentlemen, batman head,
- 10:44Speaker 1: Robin Green horned head, Kato, we got junior boy morning everybody, sho,
- 10:55Speaker 1: I am ladies a gentleman. Look Whols and building. Get
- 10:59Speaker 1: your mind all right, Jane Ford Brown, what up? Steve Harvey?
- 11:03Speaker 1: What's going on with you? Watch out that now boy
- 11:07Speaker 1: and the fool nephew Tommy, Good morning everyone. I had
- 11:16Speaker 1: to you got you gotta go way back in your throat.
- 11:22Speaker 1: What's happening top of the morning, everybody, Good morning, good
- 11:26Speaker 1: morning of the morning. We are. We are now post
- 11:30Speaker 1: mL K day. We post that's what we are. But
- 11:32Speaker 1: it was a good it was a good day. Yeah, Foo,
- 11:38Speaker 1: By any chance, did any of you see Michael Bloomberg speech? No, no, no,
- 11:48Speaker 1: I think you saw it, because yeah, y'all saw it.
- 11:52Speaker 1: Saw it from a mayor of New York, demo president,
- 11:54Speaker 1: a Democratic presidential candidate. Yeah, they were actually talking about
- 11:59Speaker 1: it over here in Africa. That's what made me go wild.
- 12:02Speaker 1: And some people asking me, say, Steve, who is this
- 12:04Speaker 1: man who wants to help black people? How could he
- 12:08Speaker 1: do this? And so I got a link and he
- 12:12Speaker 1: has a plan to introduce a plan of seventy billion
- 12:18Speaker 1: dollars to help African Americans, in so many words, recover
- 12:23Speaker 1: from the effects and the institution of slavery. In so
- 12:27Speaker 1: many words, that's the effect of it. And I gotta
- 12:30Speaker 1: tell you something, I've never ever heard anybody say what
- 12:34Speaker 1: he said. I've never heard so it was interesting, man.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I think it's something we had to start looking at
- 12:38Speaker 1: because we approached these elections. You know, we've got to
- 12:42Speaker 1: get somebody see right here, this was this is a
- 12:46Speaker 1: serious conversation, and Steve, try to enlighten the people, and see,
- 12:52Speaker 1: introduce the fool. You didn't introduce him as fool. Yeah,
- 12:58Speaker 1: but I thought I was gonna get a mute. That's
- 13:01Speaker 1: what I'm thinking getting see this one days off this,
- 13:11Speaker 1: I mean and his damn support team. Tom, we're trying
- 13:18Speaker 1: to get Trump beat and we're trying to have and
- 13:21Speaker 1: who is not talking about legitimate question? Can you get mused?
- 13:25Speaker 1: You think we didn't want holding minute back for coming
- 13:33Speaker 1: up with thirty two minutes after the hour. I guess
- 13:35Speaker 1: we'll find out. We're going to get her mule, not
- 13:41Speaker 1: to the hour right after you're listening to morning show,
- 13:46Speaker 1: all right, guys. So yesterday, of course we celebrated the
- 13:50Speaker 1: Doctor King Holiday. Yes, it was the weekend. And yeah,
- 13:57Speaker 1: I mean you know a lot of those teams speech
- 13:59Speaker 1: say you got the teams. I don't feel like saying
- 14:01Speaker 1: to damn speech. I don't feel like saying say the
- 14:04Speaker 1: damn speaking working on it all, damn week say speech.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Ka before before we were talking Michael Michael Bloomberg's uh speech,
- 14:20Speaker 1: did anyone of us hear it? And basically was said no,
- 14:24Speaker 1: But you were saying, he has a seventy billion dollars
- 14:27Speaker 1: platform um that he wants to introduce to help black people. Right,
- 14:31Speaker 1: that's what I say that to breaking, you know, just
- 14:34Speaker 1: looking up for yourself. Listen to it. A cha. You
- 14:40Speaker 1: can't go back and this with them, you know what,
- 14:44Speaker 1: can I just say something? Yeah, we won't. That's because
- 14:52Speaker 1: you're selling that money. Not he will lock out votes
- 14:56Speaker 1: in I mean, just do it right now. You have
- 14:58Speaker 1: to be president. Yeah, he be president. He got I
- 15:02Speaker 1: vote sentiment. I've never heard of anybody have a plan.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And what I was listening about the plan because you know,
- 15:11Speaker 1: he was the mayor of New York, right, so he's
- 15:13Speaker 1: done a lot of things. You know, prisonment for him,
- 15:16Speaker 1: he reduced crime, He reduced the number of young black
- 15:19Speaker 1: men in prison. A lot of black people got out
- 15:23Speaker 1: of rikers in the system like that because he was
- 15:26Speaker 1: stopping a lot of those mandatory sentencing rules. And so
- 15:30Speaker 1: I think he made sense. As we're getting close to
- 15:33Speaker 1: this election, we as to voters, we're gonna have to
- 15:36Speaker 1: vote for somebody. You know, we're gonna have to vote
- 15:39Speaker 1: for somebody. Right now, the two leading contendersis who Bernie
- 15:43Speaker 1: and Biden? Bernie Sanders and Bite. You think this guy
- 15:47Speaker 1: is different? You think this is somebody that was step
- 15:49Speaker 1: in and guys. I I mean, I know he's capable,
- 15:56Speaker 1: you know, I mean he's got the money. He may
- 15:59Speaker 1: not have the support because he's not as well known
- 16:03Speaker 1: because he hasn't been in the race long enough long
- 16:06Speaker 1: like Bernie or Warren or you know, of course Biden
- 16:09Speaker 1: has name recognition. But yeah, yeah, I mean he's a billionaire,
- 16:15Speaker 1: he was a former mayor. And you know, surely there
- 16:21Speaker 1: is an article that I see this as Bloomberg Pitchers
- 16:25Speaker 1: program to boost black economic progress. So you know, Steve,
- 16:30Speaker 1: you're absolutely right. He wants to invest seventy billion dollars
- 16:33Speaker 1: in low income neighborhoods throughout the country, increase the number
- 16:37Speaker 1: of black homeowners, and double the number of African American
- 16:40Speaker 1: owned businesses if he's elected president. Yeah, we just got
- 16:43Speaker 1: to start doing something towards moving this needle forward because
- 16:47Speaker 1: this election is coming up and y'all we got to
- 16:50Speaker 1: really get out to vote. Look, I don't I'm not
- 16:53Speaker 1: telling you who to vote for, right, I just happened
- 16:55Speaker 1: to be looking at what the landscape is look at
- 16:57Speaker 1: and so far, ain't nobody said nothing to us about again, Yeah,
- 17:04Speaker 1: because they take our votes for granted. They assume they
- 17:07Speaker 1: just take us for granted that we're going to vote
- 17:10Speaker 1: democratic and for the leading contender. That's what that's all
- 17:14Speaker 1: about it and it has been for years. And you're right,
- 17:17Speaker 1: they really need to work for our vote. They absolutely do.
- 17:22Speaker 1: It's important. So and here's someone with a plan and
- 17:27Speaker 1: time all right invited ten here we go. Say that
- 17:33Speaker 1: a good time. I'm just saying, on a more serious note,
- 17:37Speaker 1: you know we're not gonna do the forty acres in
- 17:41Speaker 1: the mute. We could at least do you know flat screens?
- 17:45Speaker 1: You know our iPhones flat screens? Yeah, just something you know,
- 17:52Speaker 1: we know the reason they stopped giving out female payments
- 17:55Speaker 1: right the flat screen statement right there, that's why. How
- 18:04Speaker 1: about a set of new tires even if you don't
- 18:06Speaker 1: have a car, you see right there. I like that, Jay,
- 18:12Speaker 1: I think that Speaking of flat screens, remember Black Friday
- 18:16Speaker 1: and you all see that post that they had on
- 18:19Speaker 1: I think it was The Graham because you know how
- 18:21Speaker 1: people bum rush the stories when they have those big
- 18:23Speaker 1: Black Friday sales to get TVs people. The thing the
- 18:26Speaker 1: post on the Graham was what happened to the TV
- 18:29Speaker 1: you got last year? Isn't that still working? Every year
- 18:32Speaker 1: you gotta get you gotta get a new TV. I
- 18:36Speaker 1: really want to have a good time. If you really
- 18:38Speaker 1: want to have a good time, everybody can do this.
- 18:40Speaker 1: Go to best Buy around Christmas time and watch people
- 18:43Speaker 1: buy big ass TVs and try to put it in
- 18:45Speaker 1: a little last car. I mean, you get a chip,
- 18:47Speaker 1: got up and watch the fun. I mean it didn't
- 18:54Speaker 1: have to be Christmas. I saw that over the WEEKI
- 18:57Speaker 1: come back, come back, come back, come back, come back,
- 18:59Speaker 1: come back. Go Okay, turn your you know what, we're
- 19:03Speaker 1: gonna have to take it out to box. We're gonna
- 19:04Speaker 1: take it out. I didn't know the dilemma people have
- 19:16Speaker 1: when they go to costco. Uh huh. You could get
- 19:22Speaker 1: a basket or you can get that big flat bed. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 19:29Speaker 1: because you have to buy in bulk when you go there.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yea Costco forces you to buy stuff you really don't
- 19:39Speaker 1: Damn gallons of mayonnaise packet. That's a lot of may
- 19:47Speaker 1: thousand rows and gallon jump of cheerios. When the hell
- 19:53Speaker 1: you go? Boomerang years ago when we was working out together,
- 19:59Speaker 1: boom marine ball, fifteen pound bag of frozen fruit cocktail,
- 20:12Speaker 1: ten pound bag cocktail, the dumbest bot. All right, guys,

- 32:57Speaker 1: Good morning, here's the news. Okay, here we are. Today's Tuesday.
- 33:00Speaker 1: This is the day President of Trump's impeachment trial begins
- 33:03Speaker 1: in the US Senate. Trump's legal team file their brief yesterday,
- 33:06Speaker 1: which your porters say used the required legal lees, peppered
- 33:09Speaker 1: with some typical Trump is ms like colining the process
- 33:12Speaker 1: rigged and a brazenly political act. On top of that,
- 33:15Speaker 1: the president's lawyers claimed that Trump didn't do anything wrong
- 33:18Speaker 1: anyway when he asked Ukrainian President Zelenski to investigate the
- 33:21Speaker 1: bidens His lawyers assert that abuse of power isn't a
- 33:25Speaker 1: crime because it's too vague and doesn't rise to a
- 33:28Speaker 1: high crime or misdemeanor as indicated in the Constitution. Now,
- 33:31Speaker 1: Democratic Senator Corey Booker on ABC's This Week disagrees, but
- 33:35Speaker 1: GOP Congressman Leezelden sees things differently. First, Booker, what are
- 33:39Speaker 1: we going to do when our democracies under threat tolerate
- 33:41Speaker 1: this behavior or do something to stop it and hold
- 33:44Speaker 1: that person accountable? Leezelden, I'm pretty confident going into this trial,
- 33:49Speaker 1: having seen all the facts in the House and just
- 33:53Speaker 1: hearing from enough of the senators that the president is
- 33:56Speaker 1: going to be acquitted. Zelden on the John Katsimatids radio show.
- 33:59Speaker 1: He's also Trump's legal team. Yesterday's gun rights rally and Richmond,
- 34:03Speaker 1: Virginia came and went, and while the governor down there
- 34:06Speaker 1: declared a state of emergency and anticipation of violence, Luckily,
- 34:10Speaker 1: cops say things were mostly calm. There were concerns that
- 34:13Speaker 1: white racists we're gonna start trouble. However, things were political,
- 34:17Speaker 1: with a lot of pro Trump signs all over the crowd.
- 34:20Speaker 1: And now the Trump administration, by the way, is looking
- 34:22Speaker 1: to undo an initiative put in place by Missus Barack
- 34:26Speaker 1: Obama take another step towards dismantling Michelle Obama school nutrition guidelines,
- 34:31Speaker 1: and Trump's people are now proposing a new rule get
- 34:34Speaker 1: this that will allow school lunch men used to feature
- 34:36Speaker 1: more pizza and fries and fewer fruits and vegetables. Agriculture
- 34:41Speaker 1: Secretary Sonny Purdue claims that the changes are needed to
- 34:44Speaker 1: give schools more flexibility. However, child nutrition advocates are horrified.
- 34:49Speaker 1: They call the Trump administration changes quote shameless, embarrassing and
- 34:53Speaker 1: embarrassing capitulation to lobbyists at the expense of American children
- 34:57Speaker 1: and their well being. They're just just too much for them.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Start ending with sad news. The Grammy nominated jazz saxophonist
- 35:05Speaker 1: and composer Jimmy Heath has died at age ninety three.
- 35:09Speaker 1: The great Jimmy Heath was mentored by Dizzy Gillespie, He
- 35:12Speaker 1: idolized Charlie Byrd, eventually be called a little Bird because
- 35:16Speaker 1: his style was so similar. He performed with the likes
- 35:18Speaker 1: of Miles Davis, John Coltrane many others before he formed
- 35:22Speaker 1: the Heath Brothers with Percy Heath on bass and Tutti
- 35:24Speaker 1: Heath on drums. In two thousand and three, Jimmy Heath
- 35:27Speaker 1: was named Jazz Master by the National Endowment for the Arts,
- 35:31Speaker 1: and his survivors include his son, none other than wbls
- 35:34Speaker 1: Is James M. Twomey of the Open Line. That's right,
- 35:37Speaker 1: that's one of his children as his son and coursed to. M.
- 35:39Speaker 1: Twomey is a Grammy winning of composer and the author

- 43:38Speaker 1: of they all know how to clap it. Okay, some
- 43:43Speaker 1: of them have never clapped in their life like that guy. Okay,
- 43:51Speaker 1: all right. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 43:53Speaker 1: right about four minutes after, it's today's Strawberry letter, the

- 44:11Speaker 1: four minutes after, it's my strawberry letter for today, this
- 44:14Speaker 1: subject keep your nasty hands off me? All right, That
- 44:18Speaker 1: is the subject right now, nephew in the building with
- 44:21Speaker 1: today's prank phone call. What you got for is nev
- 44:24Speaker 1: Queen in the church, Rain, Jesus queen in the church?
- 44:30Speaker 1: In one more time? Who in the church? Rain? And
- 44:36Speaker 1: this is what I got. That's it, let's run it
- 44:39Speaker 1: Weed in the church. Man, Come on, Hello, I'm trying
- 44:46Speaker 1: to read Dan, brother brother Dan Dan. Hello, Hello him,
- 44:49Speaker 1: because let's see you that I'm trying to read brother Dan,
- 44:54Speaker 1: Brother Dan. Oh, okay, yeah, this brother Scott from the
- 44:59Speaker 1: church from the Baptist Hello, bro, Yeah, I call you.
- 45:03Speaker 1: I'm trying to get a little information about the church band.
- 45:06Speaker 1: What's what's your schedule? Uh? Will you drive the church man?
- 45:10Speaker 1: And what's what's your schedule? I drive it Wednesday, Fridays
- 45:15Speaker 1: and Sundays. Okay, Wednesday, Friday, Sunday, last Sunday. What what
- 45:22Speaker 1: is that schedule? O Sunday. I usually start about eight
- 45:26Speaker 1: o'clock in the morning, probably a little earlier, depending on
- 45:29Speaker 1: some of the elderly people that I had to go
- 45:31Speaker 1: pick up and bring to the church. Make sure they
- 45:33Speaker 1: get there okay, and get situated and make sure they
- 45:37Speaker 1: are on time for the service and whatnot. Okay, and
- 45:40Speaker 1: then you take them back home after service is over. Yes,
- 45:44Speaker 1: I try to get all of them back home, unless
- 45:46Speaker 1: they got family members or something that come up there
- 45:48Speaker 1: and meet them up there and want to take them
- 45:49Speaker 1: to Jena or sun afterwards. But I usually get about
- 45:52Speaker 1: it back home okay. Okay. Yeah, this class Sunday, which
- 45:58Speaker 1: is part of the reason why I'm calling you. Uh.
- 46:01Speaker 1: They saying that, um, some of the church uh members
- 46:05Speaker 1: that was on the band this Sunday. Uh. They are
- 46:09Speaker 1: complaining saying that, um that the church vand was smelling
- 46:14Speaker 1: like weed when they got on there. Excuse me, they say,
- 46:18Speaker 1: the church van was smelling like weed when they got
- 46:22Speaker 1: on there, and you are the person that was driving them. No, no, no, no, no,
- 46:26Speaker 1: no no no, not not the van that that I'm driving.
- 46:29Speaker 1: I'm I don't no, I don't. I ain't smoke weed,
- 46:32Speaker 1: and no van. Do you smoke weed? No? I don't
- 46:38Speaker 1: smoke weed. I mean not carry I mean I have before,
- 46:41Speaker 1: but I don't smoke weed now and I wouldn't smoke
- 46:43Speaker 1: weed before. Picking some people look to go to Now
- 46:49Speaker 1: where you from? Who told you this? Well? All I
- 46:52Speaker 1: know is what what? What's coming down the pipeline? Is
- 46:54Speaker 1: they saying that that a couple of the members came
- 46:57Speaker 1: complaining Nazi. This just happened last week about this pipeline.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I want to know who the pipeline is because just
- 47:05Speaker 1: last week they came and me talking about that I
- 47:07Speaker 1: was using the van to go places that I wanted
- 47:10Speaker 1: to go to on my personal time. Now I don't
- 47:12Speaker 1: do that. I don't do stuff like that. And now
- 47:14Speaker 1: i'd have had a path. I haven't had a history,
- 47:15Speaker 1: but I don't do stuff like that, and I wouldn't
- 47:17Speaker 1: smoking no church van. So are you seriously talking? What? What? What?
- 47:22Speaker 1: What We're trying to We're trying to get to the
- 47:24Speaker 1: bottom of it and see what's going on with you.
- 47:28Speaker 1: Elderly person said, do you know which one? Don't they
- 47:32Speaker 1: loved me? Every Sunday? Didn't people tell me they loved me? Uh?
- 47:35Speaker 1: They say, I'm one of the most respectful young gentlemen
- 47:37Speaker 1: they've ever met in their life. And so I really
- 47:40Speaker 1: find it hard to believe that you you you getting
- 47:42Speaker 1: these type of complaints about me. What I'm saying like, oh,
- 47:46Speaker 1: we I don't know what that means or nothing like that. Look, brothers,
- 47:50Speaker 1: I don't know you too well, and I know you
- 47:52Speaker 1: don't know me. But I've been driving this van as
- 47:55Speaker 1: as as a point to try to change my life
- 47:57Speaker 1: and where I come from. So this was with some
- 48:00Speaker 1: and that I want to volunteer even though I'm getting
- 48:02Speaker 1: paid to give my time to do this for the church.
- 48:05Speaker 1: And now this is like the second instance where y'all
- 48:07Speaker 1: and came at me on some stuff about like I'm
- 48:09Speaker 1: trying to do something with this van. Now, why would
- 48:12Speaker 1: I disrespect the church van by smoking weed in it
- 48:14Speaker 1: and then letting the weeds stay in there so other
- 48:16Speaker 1: people could smell it? Okay, so let me tell you
- 48:19Speaker 1: what we're gonna do. We're gonna go out here to
- 48:21Speaker 1: the church. Then to say we're gonna go out here
- 48:24Speaker 1: today and open it up. Now, if we see any
- 48:27Speaker 1: seeds or anything around the driver's seat, then then then
- 48:32Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna definitely, uh point, gonna open the
- 48:35Speaker 1: van up. Man. I was raised in that church. Man,
- 48:37Speaker 1: My mamma go to that church, my grandma, see go
- 48:40Speaker 1: to that church. See the reason we even all left
- 48:42Speaker 1: that church. And you think I'm gonna mess up they
- 48:44Speaker 1: ain't by driving around in the band full of elderly
- 48:47Speaker 1: people smoking and we need blood. Dad, I don't know
- 48:52Speaker 1: how to the bad smell like weed, man, Now I don't.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I don't got the answer to these questions. I'm just
- 48:58Speaker 1: trying to tell you that it wasn't me. Did you
- 49:00Speaker 1: have some weed in your part? I can admitted with
- 49:02Speaker 1: your smell it. I ain't had no weed on me.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Stop trying to say like I had weed on me
- 49:06Speaker 1: and you ain't gonna get me nothing. I ain't had
- 49:08Speaker 1: no and we ain't had no weed on me. Okay, Now,
- 49:11Speaker 1: you ain't gonna mess up my name or my family's
- 49:13Speaker 1: name in this church and disrespect us like this Now,
- 49:16Speaker 1: We've been helping this church for years, and I'm trying
- 49:18Speaker 1: to tell you that I ain't riding around and no
- 49:20Speaker 1: fans smoking no weed with no elderly people. Did you
- 49:23Speaker 1: ask any of the elderly people if they had any
- 49:25Speaker 1: weed on them? Uh? No, we didn't. No, No, I
- 49:30Speaker 1: didn't think about it. No elderly people having no weed.
- 49:33Speaker 1: So you just assume it's me what one of them?
- 49:36Speaker 1: Guy got coma or something? What? What? What you know? What?
- 49:39Speaker 1: You know? Who? I think? What? Did you know? Who
- 49:41Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged to? Oh? Oh, I think
- 49:45Speaker 1: I think the weed belonged and nephew Till from the
- 49:48Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show. What the damn You just got a preak.

- 53:52Speaker 1: for you. Here. It is Strawberry Letter, subject, keep your
- 53:56Speaker 1: nasty hands off me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I him a
- 54:00Speaker 1: thirty year old woman. That's in a dirty situation with
- 54:03Speaker 1: my man. I love my man and couldn't have asked
- 54:06Speaker 1: for a better partner, but there's one thing about him
- 54:09Speaker 1: that ticks me off. He hates to wash his hands.
- 54:14Speaker 1: We've been together for six years and we just got engaged.
- 54:18Speaker 1: We moved in together last month, and that's when I
- 54:21Speaker 1: noticed his nastiness. He works long days at a factory
- 54:25Speaker 1: and when he comes home, he changes his clothes and
- 54:28Speaker 1: flops down on the bed. At first, I didn't want
- 54:31Speaker 1: to say anything and nag him about it, but last
- 54:33Speaker 1: week I couldn't hold it any longer. When I questioned him,
- 54:37Speaker 1: he asked me why was it? Was it bothering me
- 54:41Speaker 1: because they're his hands and his germs. I didn't care
- 54:44Speaker 1: to argue with him, so I let it go. Over
- 54:47Speaker 1: the weekend, he was in our garage, tinkering around with
- 54:50Speaker 1: his car and working on his motorcycle. He came straight
- 54:53Speaker 1: into my kitchen and opened the refrigerator to get a beer,
- 54:57Speaker 1: and then proceeded to get the bread out of the
- 54:59Speaker 1: pan to make a sandwich. There was a visible trail
- 55:04Speaker 1: of oil and grime everywhere he touched. I just stood
- 55:08Speaker 1: there and watched him so I could go behind him
- 55:10Speaker 1: and sanitize the kitchen when he finished. Whenever he's in
- 55:14Speaker 1: the bathroom, there's a flush and then the door opens
- 55:19Speaker 1: right afterwards. I decided to take the same attitude with him,
- 55:23Speaker 1: and I started with holding sex. I told him I
- 55:26Speaker 1: didn't want his germs from his hands on me. I
- 55:30Speaker 1: told him he would have to fairly wash his hands
- 55:33Speaker 1: and clean under his nails daily, or he's cut off
- 55:37Speaker 1: from touching me. That caused an instant argument, and he
- 55:41Speaker 1: says he can't marry a woman who treats him like
- 55:43Speaker 1: a child. I can't believe that he's upset, that he's
- 55:46Speaker 1: that upset. I don't want to get an infection from
- 55:48Speaker 1: his nasty hands on me. How should I handle this?
- 55:51Speaker 1: Please help well? I think you are handling it. I
- 55:54Speaker 1: mean you have asked him, You've asked him nicely. You've
- 55:57Speaker 1: not nagged him about it. You know, you've told him
- 56:01Speaker 1: about the germs, how you don't want to get an infection.
- 56:04Speaker 1: You're not treating him like a child. I don't think
- 56:06Speaker 1: you're doing that at all. You are expressing how you
- 56:08Speaker 1: feel about what he's not doing, and that's simply being clean.
- 56:12Speaker 1: I mean, you find out a lot about a person
- 56:14Speaker 1: when you move in together. And that's one of the
- 56:16Speaker 1: things maybe you didn't notice in the six years you
- 56:18Speaker 1: guys have been just dating before you got engaged, So
- 56:22Speaker 1: now everything's come to light. You know, it's just a
- 56:28Speaker 1: matter of simply being clean and good hygiene. Okay, for me,
- 56:31Speaker 1: cleanliness is just a deal breaker. It just is. Anyone
- 56:35Speaker 1: who doesn't wash their hands after using the bathroom, come on, now,
- 56:38Speaker 1: they're just nasty, just nasty. He's even all in the kitchen,
- 56:42Speaker 1: going all in the refrigerator and touching stuff, making sandwiches
- 56:46Speaker 1: and stuff. No, you gotta wash your hands. What are
- 56:48Speaker 1: you doing? You know, So after you've done everything, including
- 56:53Speaker 1: withholding sex, and he still won't wash. I hope his
- 56:59Speaker 1: hands is only you didn't mention anything else. But I
- 57:02Speaker 1: hope that's that's it. I mean, yeah, it would do
- 57:05Speaker 1: more than just tick me off. I'm just telling you,
- 57:08Speaker 1: I would be absolutely mad and a paul. What makes
- 57:11Speaker 1: I just think? You know, what makes you think he's
- 57:13Speaker 1: gonna change after marriage? He's not gonna change. So if
- 57:16Speaker 1: you don't get this situation settled before marriage, you're gonna
- 57:20Speaker 1: be even more frustrated once you get uh, you know,
- 57:23Speaker 1: till death do you part vows involved? So you're gonna
- 57:27Speaker 1: have to deal with this, I mean, and he doesn't
- 57:30Speaker 1: seem to be wanting to hear anything you have to say,
- 57:33Speaker 1: so I don't know. This may not mister Nasty, may
- 57:36Speaker 1: not be your man after all, Steve. Surely I agree
- 57:46Speaker 1: with everything you've said. So that's a wonderful letter. But
- 57:51Speaker 1: we're dealing with something here that is kind of crazy.
- 57:55Speaker 1: Now you've been a gather six years and you got engaged,
- 57:59Speaker 1: and you move then together last month six years and
- 58:05Speaker 1: you just now notice in last month he nasty? What
- 58:12Speaker 1: what do you must have been living in the most
- 58:15Speaker 1: unobservational six year period enter any relationship. He worked out
- 58:21Speaker 1: of factory. He come home, change his clothes, flop down
- 58:27Speaker 1: on the bed, right down. When you work in a factory,
- 58:32Speaker 1: which I have, you smell like the factory. It's a
- 58:37Speaker 1: different air in the factory, man, because it's in a
- 58:41Speaker 1: confined space, and the and the oil, the machinery, the combustion,
- 58:48Speaker 1: all of that combined. It's just in the air. Every
- 58:51Speaker 1: factory has a certain smell to it. You know, you
- 58:54Speaker 1: at work, if you blindfolded by the smell, gets in
- 58:58Speaker 1: your clothes, it's in your hair now, it's all under
- 59:04Speaker 1: his nails. You just now noticing it. Then you questioned
- 59:09Speaker 1: him about it, and he asked you why I was
- 59:11Speaker 1: bothered him because they're his hands and his head germs. Well,
- 59:16Speaker 1: your hands and your JEMs touched me. So you've done
- 59:21Speaker 1: what you should have done. You've retracted from having sex.
- 59:26Speaker 1: Now he's mad at you. And now he said he
- 59:30Speaker 1: don't know if he can get married to a woman
- 59:33Speaker 1: that treats him like a child. He had opened up
- 59:36Speaker 1: the pantry with the refrigerator. I mean the bread made
- 59:39Speaker 1: a sandwich. You got a visible trailer all in grime
- 59:42Speaker 1: everywhere he touched. He making sandwiches, reaching down in the bread.
- 59:49Speaker 1: And ain't what you often the refrigerator. How many times
- 59:55Speaker 1: have you got slept upsideject? You don't come in this
- 59:58Speaker 1: house and open this frigerator with washing your hands. Too
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: many ass whippers for that right hand on stage here. Yeah,
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: we'll get part two of Steve's response coming up at
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: twenty three minutes after the our subject keep your nasty
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: hands off me. We'll get back into it right after this.
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: You're listening show, all right, Steve, Come on, let's recap
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: today's strawberry letters, subject keep your nasty hands off me.
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: It's an interesting letter. The woman's been dating this man.
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: She's thirty years old, day this man for six years.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: They finally got engaged. She moved in and she noticed
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: last month his nastiness. He works in the factory, comes
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: home changing his clothes, flops down on the bed. She
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: mentioned to him that that was bothering her. He didn't
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: understand it. He said, why are you tripping? These is
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: my hands and my jams. She wanted to wash his hand.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: She want to argue with you man. So then he's
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: outside working on the car and a motorcycle came in
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: the house refrigerator and left a trail of grime. He
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: made a sandwich without washing his head. You can see
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: grime everywhere. Goes in the bathroom, she hears a flush.
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: The next thing, you know, here in the hallway talking.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: I'm out. I'm just do no wah. So she decided
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: to take the same attitude with him, and the ladies
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: started with holding sex. Told him I didn't want his
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: germs from his hands on me unless he thoroughly washed
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: his hand to clean under his nails daily, or he's
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: cut off from touching me. Instant argument. This fool, mister
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: Nasty says, I can't married a woman to treat me
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: like a child. Well she came man, man that act
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: like a child. So what is your two kids getting mad? Right?
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: It's time to break up. But I think I have
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: a few solutions. There are some things that you might
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: have to try, lady. Obviously, withholding sets, he's not equating
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: that to clinic because now he tripped. I think you
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: gotta do little things to attract his attention. All of
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: this has to do with the kitchen and things you
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: can do to get him to understand the necessity for clinic.
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: Here's a couple of suggestions you might want to try
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: the next time. Y'all sit down and eat the meal.
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: Take your shoes off, put them on top of the table.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: Don't say nothing. Just keep eating. Don't say anything. Here's
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: another suggestion. You come out the bathroom and while y'all
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: in the living room, while y'all in the kitchen, if
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: you eat, just bring some tarlet tissue in there. Set
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: it in the middle of the table. Don't open your
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: damn mouth. Get you a sugar bowl, go outside, put
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: some dirt in it. Put that on the table. And
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: when you make his food, open it and just sprinkle
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: a little dirt around the edge of his plate. Don't
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: say damning, sprinkling around the plate, keeping it all over
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: on his side of the table. If it just it'll
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: make him feel more at home. Don't say nothing. Don't
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: say nothing. From now, when it's time to make his sandwich.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I want you to start reusing as much bread as

- 1:03:37Speaker 1: get the end out the trash and it put a
- 1:03:39Speaker 1: little peanut but on it, make a little Dirk Princes

- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Reuse bread. Matter of fact, before you make his sandwich
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: with the bread, wipe off the counter with a slice
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: of bread. Make his damn sandwich. Wow you oh you
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: got to do serious to take his draws, prepare his draws. Yeah,
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: just the house with it, wax the furniture, and then

- 1:14:32Speaker 1: talk to the Earl of Nottingham right now. We got
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: to holler at him about something he need. Yeah, hell yeah,
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: all right on Neil acting, how hello that Noel had you?
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: Thank you for having me shout it. Hey, black Duke
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: of Earl's, Black Duke of Altingham. What could I do
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: for you today? Obviously there's something to do with the
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: news conference? Yeah, well, we right, we just wanted an
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: update about Prince Harriet and Megan Markle. You know they're
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: really no longer working members, no longer working members of
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: the royal family. Um. Harry says he has the utmost
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: respect for his grandmother the Queen. He still loves his country,
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: the uk um. So what are the details of the
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: new arrangement they say they're going to be self supporting now,
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: is that it They're going to repay the taxpayers of
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: public funds that they used to renovate their house. That's
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: almost two point four million dollars or something. And we'll
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: go all the details right after the breaking to go
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: along with that outside, I don't have enough time to
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: go and do it, mainly because David's good ten sackerds right,
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: We'll be back with the Earl of Addingham right after this.
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve hard Morning Show. All right, here
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: we are back live with the Earl of Addingham. We
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: like to call him the Black Duke of Earl and
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: uh you know he lives in the palace. I'm the
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: other black that was now the fault, Malcolm. I'm the
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: legitimate child of Charles. Oh really, and they asked me
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: to tone it down. I could live there as long
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: as I never mentioned in of course, I think advantage
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: of it. I've never told anyone that I was child,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: been brought up in the ways. I'm from the hood originally,
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: but I've learned to talk with my lips pulled back
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: to my ass. Yeah. So go ahead, Shelley, let me
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: explain to you what's going on with Harry. All right,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: the Black Duke of Earl Okay, Well, Prince Harry and
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: Megan marking the Megan Markle they are no longer working
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: members of the royal family. So what is that about.
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: First of all, bring up the horns, please, thank you
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: to have the horns. You say they are no longer
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: working members of That just means simply that Harry don't
- 1:17:31Speaker 1: want to go fill the pump and circumstance anymore, riding carriages,
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: standing saluting the damn dods at the gate and waiting
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: on the DoD. No opening up the back door and
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: letting the dogs run free first, That's simply what that means.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: He does like the pump and going to the meetings
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: and sitting here that drinking that damn tea dom t.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: Turns out that miracle likes apple juice and they've never
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: had it at the castle. So I'm moving to Canada,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: simply calls well. Harry said. He has the utmost respect
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: for his grandmother, the Queen. He still loves the uk uh,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: but they're no longer going to use their royal titles.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I was absolutely made Harry is telling the truth. Absolutely
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: loves the Queen. He absolutely does that the Queen loves
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: him as rather obvious, but he just wanted to be Harry.
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: He started listening to hip hop music and he wants
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: to be referred to as Harry O Harry want to
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: be Prince Harry anymore? Want Harry oh better known as
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: King Choppa that the royal but else? Shelly quickly, Well,
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: they're gonna have to be self supporting now. And the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: taxpayer money that they used to to remodel their their cottage,
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: they're gonna have to pay that back. That's that's like
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: even white people don't return I've never met a white
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: person ever gave a money back who returns money. We
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: got Black Duke of Earl. Come in anytime you need.
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: We appreciate you so much. We'll be back with our
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: last break. I'm hunting some closing remarks from Steve Harvey
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: right after this at forty nine minutes after you're listening
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: to Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve, here we are
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day,
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: good Tuesday. After our long and day. Okay, get on
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: your job. Yeah, like an after Yeah, all right, one
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: more time, take to Ja. Here we are, Steve, our
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: last break of the day. It's been a good day.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Break of the day. There we go, There we go.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: It's been a good day. Good Tuesday, after our long
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: MLK weekend. Yeah, so, Steve, you have some closing remarks. Yeah,
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: you know, I'm working over here. I'm in Johannesburg and
- 1:20:21Speaker 1: we were shooting this time. We're shooting a family feud
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: for the country of Ghana, and I've just been noticing
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: the more time I spend over here, the greater dis
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: similarities that I find. We have got to bridge the
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: gap between Africans and African Americans. We have to. I
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: am finding ways to get it done. I really I
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: love the year year of the Return that they did
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: in Ghana. I love a lot of things that are doing.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: We're doing some stuff with the tourism board over here.
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: But man, we've got to bridge I can't even tell
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: tell you how how we are the same. It's it's
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: it's it's pleasantly shocking how much we are the same,
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: how much we belong connected, how this is the land
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: of our ancestors. It really, it's no mistaking it. So,
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: I mean, it's how everybody knows that anyway, right. But
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I think when you come here, I think the shock
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: of it all is what gets me. And I'm still
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: constantly shocked because it's like when I'm looking at the
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: audiences sometimes it looks just like when I was on
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: tour with the Kings of Comedy and the crowd was
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: ninety six percent black, And these audiences look like Detroit, Chicago, DC,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: Philly and Atlanta, Dallas, New York, Miami, Charlotte, Saint Louis.
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: They look like it, Man, Shreveport, they look like it.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: At the way, the way we dance, the way we move.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I've watched so many African videos over here, music videos,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: what they've done to stay in touch with us, and
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: how we are so linked through vibration and beats and
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: rhythm and style. I've watched so many gospel shows over here,
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: you know, and they'll be singing gospel songs in another language,
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: and you won't understand exactly what they saying, but you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: know what they're saying, and you hear them, and their
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: singers sound exactly like us. They're not imitating us. They're
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: doing them They're not imitating American gospel artists. They're doing themselves.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: It's just that they and us are the same. And
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: that is going to be one of the focal points
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: of me spending more and more time over here. It's
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: to bring us here in large groups, in large numbers,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: so we can experience our ancestral roots. I think it's
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: so important. Man. I'm not just saying this because I'm
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: doing it now. It's something I've always wanted to do,
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: but I want everybody to experience this. My hope is
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: that African Americans make coming to Africa a mission, just
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: like Muslims do going to the Mecca, or just like
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: going to the Holy or just like whatever any other
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: cultural thing is for people. People go home. Italians go
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: to Italy. They still have great grandfather's that's from there.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: And they go back to Italy, they go to Poland,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: they go to France, they go everywhere. They go to
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: their home. They go to Scotland and Ireland. It's all
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: good Saint Patty's Day. They all get together and it's
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: a beautiful thing. Black people should have that outside of
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: just the family reunion, we should have somewhere we can
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: go to experience it, and Africa is it. I don't
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: care if you're Jamaican. I don't care if you're a Caribbean.
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: I don't care if you're Bohamian. I don't care you
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: came from there. I think it's important. I think it's
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: so important, man, and I'm gonna do everything in my
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: power to try to make it available, to make it
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: as affordable as I can for as many people to
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: come and experience this and the the beautiful thing of
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: it all, and the most I think the biggest takeaway
