- 1:43Speaker 7: got to turn the mouth, turn the.

- 1:49Speaker 8: Look, come.
- 1:58Speaker 1: Come on you think that?
- 2:01Speaker 9: Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Good morning everybody. You'll listening to the voice?
- 2:07Speaker 9: Come on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 9: got a radio show.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I do.
- 2:14Speaker 9: Took me when I said, but I do, like I
- 2:17Speaker 9: say always, it just is a constant reminder of how
- 2:20Speaker 9: good God has been. So my question to you is
- 2:24Speaker 9: what's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:28Speaker 9: What's stopping you from having the life that you want?
- 2:33Speaker 9: I know a lot of people who have given up
- 2:37Speaker 9: on achieving the life of their dreams. But I know
- 2:41Speaker 9: they'd still want them if they could get to them.
- 2:44Speaker 9: But they just allowed to settle for so many reasons.
- 2:49Speaker 9: So who I'm talking to is you today? What's really
- 2:54Speaker 9: at the core of stopping you?
- 2:56Speaker 1: What is that?
- 2:57Speaker 9: Is it your friends or your social is it the
- 3:01Speaker 9: fear of what you think somebody else will think of
- 3:04Speaker 9: you if you decide to change.
- 3:07Speaker 1: Is it what I used to call the call of
- 3:08Speaker 1: the wile?
- 3:10Speaker 9: Is it the fact that you keep thinking that the
- 3:13Speaker 9: thing that you're doing that's providing you these momentary moments
- 3:17Speaker 9: of pleasure that really ain't really good or healthy.
- 3:20Speaker 1: For you, you.
- 3:22Speaker 9: Don't want to stop doing that because you've got just
- 3:24Speaker 9: a little bit more something else you want to do.
- 3:26Speaker 9: I call that the call of the while. You know
- 3:28Speaker 9: it's just out there. Them streets is calling you, Them
- 3:31Speaker 9: lights is calling you. You know, them girls is calling you.
- 3:34Speaker 9: Them guys that's on the wrong side keep calling you.
- 3:38Speaker 9: You can't seem to make a decision by the right guy.
- 3:40Speaker 9: You keep picking the wrong guy all the time. What
- 3:43Speaker 9: is it that's stopping you from having the life that
- 3:46Speaker 9: you really want to have? So whatever the reason you're choosing,
- 3:51Speaker 9: that's the reason that's stopping you from having the life
- 3:54Speaker 9: that you want to have. It's no good because at
- 3:57Speaker 9: the end of the day, here's the real deal. See,
- 4:00Speaker 9: God is available, and God is available for all of us,
- 4:05Speaker 9: and God has a plan for all of us, and
- 4:07Speaker 9: God wants the very best for all of us. That's
- 4:10Speaker 9: the truth of the matter. So now what we're gonna
- 4:13Speaker 9: do to get started having that life? First of all,
- 4:17Speaker 9: if it's your friends, I want you to understand something.
- 4:20Speaker 9: Your friends can't save you. A lot of your friends
- 4:23Speaker 9: offer no real help for you. Most of your friends
- 4:26Speaker 9: don't have the answer themselves. I mean, it's just a
- 4:30Speaker 9: wide range of reasons and misery love company. So usually
- 4:34Speaker 9: when your friends are in a bad position, they kind
- 4:37Speaker 9: of like company in that bad position. Your friends ain't
- 4:40Speaker 9: going to church. You're gonna be their friend. They don't
- 4:43Speaker 9: really want you to go to church. You know your
- 4:46Speaker 9: friends don't pray, so why would they offer up prayer.
- 4:50Speaker 1: As a solution to you.
- 4:51Speaker 9: You know, your friends don't really really get the fact
- 4:57Speaker 9: that if you treat people better, people would treat you
- 4:59Speaker 9: better or so what's that? So your friends are a
- 5:03Speaker 9: lot of times the reasons, you know, to peer pressure
- 5:06Speaker 9: of what and then the thought in your mind of
- 5:09Speaker 9: what they gonna think once they find out I don't
- 5:12Speaker 9: do what they do anymore.
- 5:13Speaker 1: Who cares what they think other than you? I mean, really,
- 5:18Speaker 1: you can't let what somebody thinks of you stop you
- 5:22Speaker 1: from having the best life you wanted to have. If
- 5:25Speaker 1: I went by that theory right there, wouldn't I wouldn't
- 5:28Speaker 1: even be on this mic this morning. I would have
- 5:30Speaker 1: never become a stand up I would had I listened
- 5:33Speaker 1: to the people around me who clearly told me when
- 5:37Speaker 1: I quit my job to pursue this, boy, don't you
- 5:40Speaker 1: quit your job?
- 5:41Speaker 9: You got a family, Boy, don't you do this. You
- 5:43Speaker 9: ain't got no bit that, ain't no security in that.
- 5:47Speaker 9: Get yourself a job. Go down here, and what's your brothers?
- 5:50Speaker 9: Go to work over here? Go to I heard all
- 5:52Speaker 9: of that. I didn't let that stop me from pursuing this.
- 5:56Speaker 9: Why would you allow that to stop you from pursuing
- 5:59Speaker 9: your relationlationship with God so you can have the best
- 6:01Speaker 9: life you could possibly have. You gang bang because they've
- 6:06Speaker 9: convinced you that this is the family situation and love
- 6:09Speaker 9: that you don't have, and they've convinced you that this
- 6:12Speaker 9: is your only way, your only source of getting over,
- 6:17Speaker 9: And then you drum up these ignorant reasons man for
- 6:21Speaker 9: staying with it. But they sound so good when you
- 6:24Speaker 9: listening to everybody else you surrounded by telling you why
- 6:28Speaker 9: we gang banging, why we holding this block down? Why
- 6:31Speaker 9: we slanging this thing here right here? Why we letting
- 6:34Speaker 9: it go like this here? You keep listening to them
- 6:38Speaker 9: when all in your heart of hearts you know it's
- 6:40Speaker 9: ain't right. You already know, but you allow that form
- 6:45Speaker 9: of the call of the wile that wanting to be
- 6:48Speaker 9: accepted by a group of people who trying to get
- 6:51Speaker 9: you to accept the way, so you con further they
- 6:53Speaker 9: progress to even prove that you're worthy to be around them,
- 6:58Speaker 9: You got to commit some type of crime to even
- 7:00Speaker 9: prove that you're worthy to be around them. Then when
- 7:03Speaker 9: you get busted on the crime, what happens to that
- 7:06Speaker 9: where your family are Now they don't come down there
- 7:09Speaker 9: to see you because guess what, they can't turn in
- 7:12Speaker 9: They idea to desk at a law enforcement center, So
- 7:15Speaker 9: now your homies can't come visit you. And then you
- 7:18Speaker 9: know your family back out here, they ain't taking care
- 7:20Speaker 9: of your family because it's all about them. Then you
- 7:23Speaker 9: learn that what is it that's stopping you from having
- 7:26Speaker 9: the life that you always wanted to have?
- 7:29Speaker 1: What is it?
- 7:30Speaker 9: Why are you a repeat offender? Why do you keep
- 7:34Speaker 9: checking yourself back into that institution?
- 7:37Speaker 1: Why?
- 7:38Speaker 9: Man, why won't you get it together? Why won't you
- 7:41Speaker 9: give God a try? Why won't you disassociate yourself. Why
- 7:45Speaker 9: would you continue to be a part of a revolving
- 7:48Speaker 9: door system and becoming a farm system for these institutions
- 7:52Speaker 9: that ain't got nothing for you? But you keep going
- 7:55Speaker 9: back in there. And then every time you go in there,
- 7:57Speaker 9: and now your little homies or your gang banging, little
- 8:00Speaker 9: little silly little friends try to make you think that's
- 8:02Speaker 9: a badge of honor. There ain't no badge of honor. Man,
- 8:05Speaker 9: that's one mold. What's one more scratch on that record.
- 8:08Speaker 9: That's one mold. That's one more nail in that coffin.
- 8:12Speaker 9: That's one step closer to that third strike where you
- 8:15Speaker 9: ain't gonna ever get out.
- 8:16Speaker 1: It's one step closer to that graveyard. You keep on.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Why would you not give God a try? Why would
- 8:23Speaker 1: you not go and see what your life could really be?
- 8:26Speaker 1: What is it that's stopping you? Because see, I got
- 8:30Speaker 1: news for you. There's nothing like waking up free. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: don't care who you are. There's nothing like waking up
- 8:38Speaker 1: with the joy in your heart. Now, if you ain't
- 8:40Speaker 1: gonna be free, get the.
- 8:41Speaker 9: Joy in your heart, the satisfaction of knowing that you're
- 8:44Speaker 9: accomplishing something with your life. Help somebody behind them. Balls
- 8:49Speaker 9: get in the program, show these young cats when they
- 8:51Speaker 9: come in a better way.
- 8:52Speaker 1: But don't you.
- 8:53Speaker 9: Dash sit there, man and just ride it out. And man,
- 8:57Speaker 9: just go and get the fullest life life that you
- 9:00Speaker 9: can have. What you know what it feels like to
- 9:03Speaker 9: wake up and be on your way somewhere, knowing that
- 9:06Speaker 9: you have something to accomplish, that you can change somebody,
- 9:09Speaker 9: that you can stop somebody from going down the roads
- 9:12Speaker 9: you went down. It's a whole lot of ways to
- 9:14Speaker 9: make your life better. But why would you not go
- 9:16Speaker 9: and have the best life you can have? What is
- 9:19Speaker 9: that's stopping you?
- 9:20Speaker 8: Really?
- 9:22Speaker 1: Really?
- 9:23Speaker 9: So you think that Satan really has your best interests
- 9:26Speaker 9: at heart, That the little thing your mama kept telling
- 9:29Speaker 9: you about praying you wasn't listening, was you. But you know,
- 9:32Speaker 9: it ain't ever too late to get back to that.
- 9:34Speaker 9: It ain't ever too late to turn around, It ain't
- 9:37Speaker 9: ever too late to get your life together, it ain't
- 9:40Speaker 9: ever too late to seek God, and it ain't ever too.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Late to pray.
- 9:45Speaker 9: Don't forget to pray, don't be ashamed to pray, and
- 9:48Speaker 9: don't be too proud to pray, because prayer changes things.
- 9:52Speaker 1: Prayer change people too. I'm a witness to that. You're

- 21:29Speaker 13: Hey.
- 21:29Speaker 9: Look, you can't let the urge to sing your favorite
- 21:32Speaker 9: songs while you're driving distract you from that truck drifting
- 21:35Speaker 9: toward your lane or that lane splitting biker creeping up. Besides, fortunately,
- 21:41Speaker 9: every Honday offers advanced safety features that can alert you
- 21:45Speaker 9: to potential dangers around you.
- 21:46Speaker 12: That's right, because Hondai is always working to ensure the
- 21:49Speaker 12: road doesn't get you. Hondai vehicles have won over one
- 21:52Speaker 12: hundred and twenty IIHS Top Safety awards from two thousand
- 21:56Speaker 12: and six to twenty twenty four as of December twenty
- 21:59Speaker 12: twenty four.
- 22:00Speaker 2: Coming up at the top of the Hour and Entertainment News,
- 22:03Speaker 2: a lip reader revealed that Kanye allegedly what he said
- 22:07Speaker 2: to his wife before she posed nude on the Grammy's
- 22:10Speaker 2: red carpet. Did he will get a life sentence if convicted,
- 22:14Speaker 2: according to an amended indictment, and passengers were forced to
- 22:19Speaker 2: evacuate a United flight in Houston. And that's all coming
- 22:23Speaker 2: up at the top of the hour. But right now
- 22:25Speaker 2: it is time to ask the clo as the black colo.
- 22:30Speaker 2: All right, here we go, Rachelle and Piscataway says, I
- 22:34Speaker 2: let my man move in with me, but he will
- 22:36Speaker 2: not help me keep the house clean. His personal belongings
- 22:40Speaker 2: are everywhere, and I've told him that he's a guest here.
- 22:44Speaker 2: He said it's his house too, since he pays the bills.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Why would he think that, Well.
- 22:50Speaker 1: You invited him to live with you, so now that's
- 22:54Speaker 1: where he lives.
- 22:56Speaker 9: And now he lived, and you invited him in there
- 23:00Speaker 9: financial support, and now he paying the bills. And he
- 23:04Speaker 9: has every right to feel like it's his house too
- 23:08Speaker 9: because you invited him in and he pays the bills.
- 23:12Speaker 9: Now does that make it right for him to lay
- 23:15Speaker 9: stuff all over the place. Absolutely not. But you didn't
- 23:19Speaker 9: bank on that. You didn't know that's what came with it.
- 23:22Speaker 9: But that's what happened When you move in with people,
- 23:24Speaker 9: you really don't know, but you should have had some
- 23:27Speaker 9: inkland of this.
- 23:27Speaker 1: You've been over his house.
- 23:29Speaker 9: Yeah, Now, unless he moved directly from his mama's house
- 23:33Speaker 9: to your house, you wouldn't know this. But if he
- 23:37Speaker 9: had his own place, you know that. But you invited
- 23:40Speaker 9: him to live with you for financial gain. So now
- 23:43Speaker 9: he over there paying all the bills and you invited him. Now, yeah,
- 23:48Speaker 9: he looking at it. Why would he think that? So
- 23:51Speaker 9: you think he over there just paying bills at the
- 23:53Speaker 9: house and he don't get no rights. So I'm not
- 23:58Speaker 9: saying that laying the clothes around is right, but you
- 24:03Speaker 9: know that's maybe he a sloppy dude, and that's how
- 24:06Speaker 9: he is.
- 24:09Speaker 1: My house. You can tell I've been in the room.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Why because I leave stuff places?
- 24:15Speaker 2: What do you mean you leave stuff?
- 24:17Speaker 1: You know, a cup, shoe something?
- 24:21Speaker 2: You know?
- 24:22Speaker 1: You don't clang out all day, you just lay it down.
- 24:26Speaker 9: I remember that you made the bed up, made the bed, Yeah, yeah,
- 24:34Speaker 9: make the bed up. Come on, man, and I kid
- 24:37Speaker 9: you not, I don't even I promise you. I ain't
- 24:46Speaker 9: made no bed now I have rinster played off and
- 24:49Speaker 9: something like that set it on the side of the seat.
- 24:52Speaker 9: I wiped off a count. If I spilled something, you know,
- 24:55Speaker 9: I ain't trifling.
- 24:56Speaker 8: You know.
- 24:57Speaker 9: If I dropped some food on the floor I'm meeting,
- 24:59Speaker 9: I'm a pick it up. But I just like going
- 25:02Speaker 9: to get your vacuum clean.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I have no idea. I ain't seen it, wouldn't know
- 25:08Speaker 1: how to cut it own, nothing.
- 25:10Speaker 2: Do you have a swifter, Steve? Do you have a
- 25:12Speaker 2: swifter for your hardwood floors?
- 25:15Speaker 8: Yes?
- 25:15Speaker 1: Yes, he does, Yes, he does, yes, he does?
- 25:20Speaker 7: Yes?
- 25:21Speaker 1: Yeah, okayout that earlier. Yeah? Where what a vacuum man?
- 25:30Speaker 1: Is what I saw?
- 25:34Speaker 2: We're moving on?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Uh, your dream says?
- 25:40Speaker 2: My dad came by last weekend and I could not
- 25:43Speaker 2: help but notice him staring at my wife's boobs and
- 25:45Speaker 2: butt when she was in his presence. After he left,
- 25:49Speaker 2: my wife told me that if I don't say something
- 25:51Speaker 2: to my dad, she will What am I supposed to
- 25:54Speaker 2: say looking at my.
- 25:59Speaker 1: Well, you'd be staying at Glinda and then make her uncomfortable. Yeah,
- 26:05Speaker 1: I'll be looking at all. I don't be standing at Glinda.
- 26:10Speaker 1: That's how he talked.
- 26:12Speaker 9: I don't be staying at Glinda, Daddy, Daddy. She's noticed it,
- 26:16Speaker 9: and I've noticed it and Dad, you got to just
- 26:19Speaker 9: you got to pull up man, big booty kenda.
- 26:23Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess all you can say, yeah, okay, hopefully
- 26:28Speaker 2: it works.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Thought in luck. Well, I don't know what she gonna say, though,
- 26:35Speaker 1: read to see it all right.
- 26:38Speaker 2: Moving on to Orlanda in Kingston, Orlanda writes, my boyfriend
- 26:43Speaker 2: was supposed to be in New York on a work
- 26:45Speaker 2: trip and he used a piece of my luggage. I
- 26:47Speaker 2: put air tags in all of my bags in case
- 26:50Speaker 2: they get lost. He removed my air tag before he
- 26:54Speaker 2: left town. Why would he take it out? Is he
- 26:57Speaker 2: up to something?
- 26:59Speaker 9: Well, from your boyfriend's standpoint, he didn't take him out.
- 27:06Speaker 1: He don't know what happened to the man tag. Well
- 27:09Speaker 1: you put him. I ain't say.
- 27:10Speaker 9: I didn't even know you had no ad tag. That's yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 9: he got to go that route, Yes you do.
- 27:17Speaker 1: Yeah, because he was not in New York.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Oh, he was up to something.
- 27:25Speaker 9: I'm just saying he has an out with them ad tags.
- 27:28Speaker 9: I didn't take your ad tags out, and I don't
- 27:30Speaker 9: know nothing about your air tags. When did you put
- 27:32Speaker 9: ad tags in that?
- 27:33Speaker 1: Oh?
- 27:34Speaker 2: This place stupid?
- 27:35Speaker 1: Yeah, now we gotta start checking for air tag now see,
- 27:43Speaker 1: I'm all, I'm I'm I'm who I say I'm going.
- 27:46Speaker 9: So you put air tags and you know, put my
- 27:50Speaker 9: eye five my phone on that fine locator all that.
- 27:53Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 27:54Speaker 2: I'm here, h all right, last one, Steve. This is
- 27:58Speaker 2: from Keisha and Chattanow. Keisha writes, my husband hates noise
- 28:03Speaker 2: and we got in a hand slapping fight after he
- 28:06Speaker 2: turned my radio down in my car. He's mad because
- 28:09Speaker 2: I scratched his hands with my ring, but I told
- 28:12Speaker 2: him not to ever turn my music down. Should I
- 28:16Speaker 2: apologize for injuring him? Wow?
- 28:21Speaker 1: Y'all in that ass? Serious y'all hitting each other about
- 28:24Speaker 1: this radio.
- 28:25Speaker 2: My handslapping fight, especially if she listening to the Seve
- 28:28Speaker 2: Harvey Morning Show slap his hand?
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, that's all right. Yeah, I don't.
- 28:36Speaker 9: I don't recommend hand slapping fights and nothing with your girl.
- 28:40Speaker 9: I just I can't recommend none of that. Yeah, because
- 28:43Speaker 9: you had.
- 28:43Speaker 1: Hurt her hand, bro Oh yeah yeah true?
- 28:47Speaker 9: And yeah you do owe him an apology for doing
- 28:50Speaker 9: that because I told him don't ever turn money.
- 28:52Speaker 1: Ain't your child now, but it was her car though
- 28:57Speaker 1: I don't give a damn what it is. I'm not
- 29:01Speaker 1: your child.
- 29:02Speaker 8: Uh huh.
- 29:03Speaker 1: You know, I told you don't ever turn my music.
- 29:06Speaker 1: Who are you talking to?
- 29:08Speaker 9: I ain't feel like hearing it that loud today, So yeah,
- 29:11Speaker 9: I turned it down because we adults, and we riding
- 29:14Speaker 9: in the car. Just because I'm in your car and
- 29:16Speaker 9: you got this song up. He cranked all up. I
- 29:18Speaker 9: ain't gonna come on now, marriage compromised.
- 29:22Speaker 12: I get in there with some head, says song. I
- 29:24Speaker 12: wouldn't listen to lass. I yeah, in there riding by
- 29:28Speaker 12: myself in my head your air pot.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Yeah that's what?
- 29:35Speaker 8: What? What? What?
- 29:40Speaker 1: Does she owe him an apology? Yes she does. But
- 29:43Speaker 1: listen to the letter she said.
- 29:45Speaker 9: I told him, don't ever turn my music down, ever, ever,
- 29:50Speaker 9: under no circumstance.
- 29:51Speaker 1: In my car, she said, lady, come on now, you.
- 29:55Speaker 9: Know if i'm if I'm nine and you're taking me
- 29:58Speaker 9: to the park or something like that, I understand. Are
- 30:01Speaker 9: you giving me a ride to school? I got what
- 30:03Speaker 9: you said, but I'm an adult, no man, huh huh.
- 30:07Speaker 9: I told him, don't ever turn my music down. Pick
- 30:10Speaker 9: your battles, all right, yeah, thank you.
- 30:13Speaker 2: Cela coming up at the top of the hour, we'll
- 30:16Speaker 2: have some entertainment news for you, right after this you're
- 30:19Speaker 2: listening Steve.
- 30:21Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Well we might finally I know you guys have been
- 30:28Speaker 2: really wondering what this was all about, but we might
- 30:30Speaker 2: finally know now what Kanye said to his wife on
- 30:34Speaker 2: the Grammy's Red carpet right before she dropped her fur
- 30:38Speaker 2: coat and revealed her nakedness. According to Daily Mail, a
- 30:42Speaker 2: lip reader was able to interpret what Kanye said. He
- 30:45Speaker 2: allegedly said, start making a scene. Now, make a scene.
- 30:51Speaker 2: It'll make so much sense. His wife, Bianca, is seen
- 30:54Speaker 2: on video shaking her head in agreement, and then Kanye
- 30:58Speaker 2: allegedly told her to quote, drop it behind you and
- 31:01Speaker 2: then turn I got you. Bianca allegedly replied to Kanye,
- 31:07Speaker 2: all right, let's go, and then she dropped her fur
- 31:10Speaker 2: coat and bared it all, just standing up their naked
- 31:13Speaker 2: After the shock and awe of it all, Kanye and
- 31:17Speaker 2: his wife walked the red carpet and then left the venue.
- 31:20Speaker 2: They didn't even attend the Grammys. They weren't even there.
- 31:23Speaker 2: They just wanted to do the red carpet and the
- 31:25Speaker 2: naked thing.
- 31:27Speaker 9: Hmm, I can't stand here, you know, I'm not you know,
- 31:36Speaker 9: both of them is a little bit different. I'm not
- 31:41Speaker 9: using my wife just for a publicity stunt. And I
- 31:44Speaker 9: don't know how this woman is allowing herself to be
- 31:48Speaker 9: used for a publicity stunt.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Maybe she loves the attention. I mean, apparently she doesn't
- 31:54Speaker 2: got too Yeah, she loves the attention.
- 31:57Speaker 9: But you know what your daughters learn from their fathers
- 32:01Speaker 9: and the men in their lives how to treat women
- 32:04Speaker 9: by how they treat women.
- 32:06Speaker 1: That's their example.
- 32:07Speaker 9: And if you got daughters, you got to be careful
- 32:09Speaker 9: what you do with your girl in front of them
- 32:11Speaker 9: because they're watching and learning.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Yes, he's selfish.
- 32:16Speaker 9: Okay, Carler, you have a husband. He treats you very well.
- 32:20Speaker 9: So your daughter, Tasha has an example of what a
- 32:25Speaker 9: man is supposed to, how he's supposed to talk to
- 32:27Speaker 9: a treat her. You know, he makes he makes sure
- 32:31Speaker 9: Tasha is well provided for. So that's her example of
- 32:34Speaker 9: what a man looks like. It's not just talk, it's
- 32:39Speaker 9: action too, because they watching.
- 32:42Speaker 2: Yes, that's right.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Kids are sponges. They soak up off the tommy Tommy
- 32:49Speaker 1: what I know I ain't in this. I can badly
- 32:51Speaker 1: get my wife to get naked at home, so I
- 32:53Speaker 1: know I can red carpet baby, when we get over
- 32:58Speaker 1: there on that carpet, drop it and turn.
- 33:03Speaker 15: I ain't even know what that means.
- 33:05Speaker 1: I got you, what does that mean?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Because he didn't have her naked.
- 33:10Speaker 1: The rehearsed that call, that's all rehearsed.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Ain't making a scene, make a scene, make a scene
- 33:18Speaker 2: to the shock value. And then he said it would
- 33:21Speaker 2: make so much sense.
- 33:25Speaker 1: Her family.
- 33:26Speaker 9: That's coming from a person that ain't got nothing like
- 33:29Speaker 9: I like, I've been talking to my kids about this.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Where did genius part at? Y'all been telling me.
- 33:38Speaker 11: Where's the genius?
- 33:39Speaker 9: Probably all the time they've been doing damn knye a genius.
- 33:44Speaker 1: Well, I'm just I'm looking. I ain't seen that college
- 33:51Speaker 1: drop out. We thought, surely he a genius because he
- 33:54Speaker 1: told y'all he was.
- 33:56Speaker 2: I just said he thinks he's a genius, and he
- 33:58Speaker 2: put it out.
- 33:59Speaker 9: There and people just be buying into it. I've been waiting.
- 34:03Speaker 9: I've been waiting to see the genius.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Yeah, he's the one that started that.
- 34:08Speaker 8: I was his music.
- 34:11Speaker 1: I was on board with that. But now.
- 34:15Speaker 12: You know how long it takes for me and Jackie
- 34:18Speaker 12: to get dressed. We got to get each other dress.
- 34:21Speaker 12: You know how long take me get that damn wrinkling
- 34:24Speaker 12: up all my damn sleeves.
- 34:25Speaker 1: We got to get eat.
- 34:26Speaker 12: I gotta zip up. Ain't no way we can drop
- 34:29Speaker 12: something in some kind. It's not gonna happen.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Yeah about you.
- 34:35Speaker 12: Once we get each other zipped up. The last thing,
- 34:37Speaker 12: the worst thing, when we both got to go to
- 34:39Speaker 12: the bathroom. Lord, I got to go bathroom. I know
- 34:42Speaker 12: now we got to unzip all this this before show.
- 34:47Speaker 12: We got to go to the family bathroom. But we
- 34:49Speaker 12: got to get ahead of the other, try to help
- 34:51Speaker 12: each other out of this way. We went to a
- 34:57Speaker 12: funeral and it was an a hey. They passed away
- 35:01Speaker 12: and they had to wear them white stockings. Man, but
- 35:05Speaker 12: it took me forty five men's get Jackie in them

- 51:50Speaker 8: the loaf for real, Like you really want to come
- 51:52Speaker 8: to the party, but because you're the only person in
- 51:54Speaker 8: the neighborhood that hasn't been invited. Now you're talking about
- 51:57Speaker 8: calling the police. I know exactly who you are. Who
- 52:00Speaker 8: am I you? That dude that live up two three
- 52:03Speaker 8: streets over and you drive that red pickup truck with

- 52:16Speaker 8: those dogs you got running around in your backyard, you
- 52:19Speaker 8: need to clean them up. They'd be back there and
- 52:21Speaker 8: and everything, And then the other neighbors can't even have
- 52:24Speaker 8: barbecues because you're big, rusty as dogs running around. You
- 52:27Speaker 8: got a nerve to be talking about you calling the
- 52:29Speaker 8: police when we need to be calling the city on you.
- 52:32Speaker 8: All that trash and you got in front of your house. Man,
- 52:34Speaker 8: get out of here. I'm gonna call the cops on
- 52:36Speaker 8: you right now. But if you ain't wearing the flannel shirts,
- 52:40Speaker 8: with the red pickup truck and the dogs running around

- 53:40Speaker 15: Come on, come on, all right, man, I know I said, Man,

- 53:55Speaker 1: it to me? In black history? Come on, man, we

- 54:06Speaker 12: in there as the king of pranks, you know. And
- 54:09Speaker 12: I'm just you know, somewhere on the entertainment floor on
- 54:13Speaker 12: the wall, you know, just right up in there.
- 54:15Speaker 1: That's that's all. And I don't think gonna asking for
- 54:17Speaker 1: a lot.
- 54:18Speaker 2: When you go through the museum to the museum, we'll
- 54:20Speaker 2: see you in your prank.
- 54:22Speaker 12: Why would they do that though? See he just see
- 54:26Speaker 12: how you just shot it down. See somebody to work
- 54:28Speaker 12: at the museum saying, Hey, that's a great idea.
- 54:31Speaker 1: Then here he come and shoot it down. Just shot
- 54:35Speaker 1: it down? Why would they do that? I came in
- 54:40Speaker 1: a valid question.
- 54:43Speaker 2: Answer the question.
- 54:44Speaker 1: It's the king of pranks.
- 54:45Speaker 8: What you know?
- 54:48Speaker 12: My morale is done. Listen, I'll be at great Land

- 56:23Speaker 2: Thank you nephews. Subject. If I don't do it, he
- 56:27Speaker 2: will leave me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm twenty nine and
- 56:32Speaker 2: my husband is thirty, and we got married four months ago.
- 56:35Speaker 2: Our wedding was won for the books and he was
- 56:38Speaker 2: perfect until two months ago when he tried to have
- 56:40Speaker 2: sex with me three times in one day. After he proposed,
- 56:45Speaker 2: I spoiled him more and we started having sex once
- 56:49Speaker 2: a day. That was great, and we learned a lot
- 56:52Speaker 2: about each other sexually. But I was terrified because we
- 56:55Speaker 2: are not ready to be parents yet. After the wedding,
- 56:59Speaker 2: he expected sex next morning and night daily. I tried
- 57:03Speaker 2: to keep up, but I had anxiety and anxiety over
- 57:07Speaker 2: not being on any birth control and his refusal to
- 57:10Speaker 2: use protection. He said he didn't care about having a
- 57:13Speaker 2: house full of kids, but there's no way we can
- 57:16Speaker 2: have a baby with our current finance, with our current salaries.
- 57:19Speaker 2: Things got so bad that he started taking my clothes
- 57:22Speaker 2: off as soon as I got in from work. I'm
- 57:25Speaker 2: worried about getting pregnant, so I cannot concentrate what's going on.
- 57:29Speaker 2: What's going on. Luckily for me and my sanity, our
- 57:33Speaker 2: lease was up, so I have been staying with my
- 57:36Speaker 2: mother for the past two weeks and he's been staying
- 57:38Speaker 2: with his mom. My mom lectured me about not staying
- 57:42Speaker 2: with my husband for two weeks, but I told her
- 57:44Speaker 2: I need a break. She has always advised me to
- 57:47Speaker 2: give it up when he wants it and wherever he
- 57:50Speaker 2: wants it. She said that's how she was married for
- 57:53Speaker 2: twenty nine years. I decided to tell my husband exactly
- 57:58Speaker 2: how I'm feeling. Respons was just like my mom's. He
- 58:02Speaker 2: said that as his wife, I'm supposed to please him,
- 58:06Speaker 2: and if I don't enjoy sex like he does, then
- 58:09Speaker 2: we don't need to stay married. I don't like how
- 58:12Speaker 2: he said that to me, but I get it. I'm
- 58:15Speaker 2: willing to compromise with him. But if I fall short
- 58:18Speaker 2: on the amount of sex he gets, will he cheat?
- 58:21Speaker 2: Am I a newlywed fool?
- 58:24Speaker 1: Wow? Wow?
- 58:26Speaker 2: I don't think you're a newlywed fool, but you are
- 58:29Speaker 2: a newlywed and there are adjustments to be made. You, guys,
- 58:33Speaker 2: have only been married four months, and you know, you
- 58:37Speaker 2: got to kind of learn each other. And by the way,
- 58:40Speaker 2: you are his wife and not his properties, not just
- 58:44Speaker 2: what he says goes. You have a say in this
- 58:46Speaker 2: marriage and the sex and all of that, just like
- 58:49Speaker 2: he does. But instead you're running from him because he
- 58:53Speaker 2: wants sex three times a day or at least morning
- 58:55Speaker 2: and night, and you're not always with that. It's your
- 58:58Speaker 2: body and he does not all you just because you're
- 59:01Speaker 2: married to him. You are right to be concerned about
- 59:03Speaker 2: getting pregnant if you're not ready, and especially if you
- 59:07Speaker 2: guys can't afford it. Your husband is controlling in this situation.
- 59:13Speaker 2: He's not considering you or your feelings and why you
- 59:16Speaker 2: feel the way you do. But here is the question,
- 59:20Speaker 2: is the only reason you're running from his constant sexual demands.
- 59:24Speaker 2: Is it because you're not on birth control and he
- 59:26Speaker 2: won't help by using protection himself. Now that's where a
- 59:31Speaker 2: compromise comes in. You gotta work, you guys, got to
- 59:33Speaker 2: try and work these things out. Why should the birth
- 59:36Speaker 2: control be just on you? He could wear condoms. I
- 59:40Speaker 2: know he said he wasn't, but he should if you
- 59:42Speaker 2: guys aren't ready to get pregnant yet, you guys are
- 59:45Speaker 2: newly ways. I would hate to see you break up
- 59:48Speaker 2: over this sex thing. I really would, because he wants
- 59:51Speaker 2: more than you do. So I think you should please
- 59:54Speaker 2: leave your mom's house so you and your husband can
- 59:56Speaker 2: have a serious talk about the status of your four year,
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: four month marriage. It's just not looking good right now,
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: this whole marriage between you guys, it's not looking good.
- 1:00:06Speaker 7: Steve.
- 1:00:07Speaker 9: The subject is if I don't do it, he will
- 1:00:10Speaker 9: leave me. My answer to this letter is he gone.
- 1:00:14Speaker 9: It's hard to pick which bump to talk to you about.
- 1:00:17Speaker 9: But the bump you don't want to discuss is having
- 1:00:20Speaker 9: a baby. Was a bump up in sex? See hear
- 1:00:24Speaker 9: what happened? They had a wedding She twenty nine. He
- 1:00:27Speaker 9: thought they had a wedding that was one for the books,
- 1:00:29Speaker 9: she said, But sting started after two months ago. Now
- 1:00:37Speaker 9: what happened was, see, after he proposed, she said, I
- 1:00:41Speaker 9: spoiled him more and we started having sex once a day. See,
- 1:00:46Speaker 9: once she got the ring and a commitment, she said,
- 1:00:52Speaker 9: let me lock it in by spoiling him more.
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: All right, So the spaill game went in. Now they
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: getting married, he's expecting that same spoiling to continue. As
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: a matter of fact, he picking up the pace. He
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: wanted morning, night, afternoon now.
- 1:01:17Speaker 9: And she said that was great because they learned a
- 1:01:19Speaker 9: lot about each other sexually and everything.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: But after the wedding he wanted it daily. She said.
- 1:01:27Speaker 9: I tried to keep up, but I had anxiety over
- 1:01:30Speaker 9: not being on birth control and his refusal to use protection.
- 1:01:35Speaker 9: I don't even know how this how we have in
- 1:01:37Speaker 9: this discussion after the marriage, all this birth control and protection,
- 1:01:43Speaker 9: all that should have been covered. If y'all having sex
- 1:01:46Speaker 9: once a day, y'all ain't had this conversation nowhere, and
- 1:01:51Speaker 9: then you not on birth control and then he won't
- 1:01:57Speaker 9: use a condom. I thought, excuse me, was after you married?
- 1:02:04Speaker 9: I thought most married people I know have unprotected sex.
- 1:02:09Speaker 9: That's most people I know, but due to birth control,
- 1:02:12Speaker 9: somebody's got to practice some type of birth control measure.
- 1:02:15Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:02:15Speaker 9: Should it always be on the woman? Absolutely not, so
- 1:02:19Speaker 9: it should be on him. But he don't want to
- 1:02:21Speaker 9: wear that.
- 1:02:23Speaker 12: And not.
- 1:02:23Speaker 9: Now y'all got a problem. But he told you I
- 1:02:26Speaker 9: don't care about having a house full of kids. Everybody
- 1:02:29Speaker 9: say that to Hassei.
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: Hang on, hang on, yeah, Hodie, till you get a
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: house full of kids.
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: I'm kidding right Well, that part two of Steve's response
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: coming up on today's Strawberry Letter at twenty three minutes
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: after the hour. The subject is if I don't do it,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: he will leave me. We'll get back into it right

- 1:03:32Speaker 2: All right, Come on, Steve, Let's recap today's Strawberry letter.
- 1:03:34Speaker 2: The subject is if I don't do it, he will
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: leave me.
- 1:03:38Speaker 9: This letter is just about a woman and a man
- 1:03:40Speaker 9: that's married. She's twenty nine thirty and they have a
- 1:03:43Speaker 9: difference of opinion on how much sex to have. After
- 1:03:46Speaker 9: the man proposed to her, she picked a pace up
- 1:03:48Speaker 9: and they was having sex daily after they got married.
- 1:03:51Speaker 9: He wanted morning and night. She's having anxiety and he's
- 1:03:54Speaker 9: saving some anxiety over it because she don't want to
- 1:03:57Speaker 9: get pregnant and because of the salaries, she don't think
- 1:04:00Speaker 9: this is the right time. He done said just to
- 1:04:03Speaker 9: have said I don't care. We have a house full
- 1:04:05Speaker 9: of kids. Well, homie, that's a nice statement to make.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: But heed.
- 1:04:12Speaker 9: They even had a TV show that said eight years enough.
- 1:04:19Speaker 9: I have a said if you got fold, why would
- 1:04:21Speaker 9: you want more? We could do that TV show. Then
- 1:04:26Speaker 9: there's a new series coming out called Too It's plenty,
- 1:04:31Speaker 9: and then there's the mega hit show that's coming out.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: I don't want the ones I got, so you know,
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: it's a lot that can go on in here.
- 1:04:41Speaker 9: So now she started having anxiety over this, but they
- 1:04:46Speaker 9: don't want to have babies now here the thing where
- 1:04:48Speaker 9: it took a turn. Things got so bad. He started
- 1:04:51Speaker 9: taking my clothes off as soon as I got in
- 1:04:54Speaker 9: from work.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Damn, you can do that.
- 1:05:00Speaker 9: I had to read that line five or six times. Really,
- 1:05:03Speaker 9: he started taking my clothes as soon as I got
- 1:05:06Speaker 9: in from work.
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: You can do that. You can go over to your
- 1:05:10Speaker 1: wife and just take her closer. What he's too controlling, holddop.
- 1:05:17Speaker 9: You can just walk up to your wife and start
- 1:05:21Speaker 9: taking her clothes off.
- 1:05:23Speaker 2: I didn't even put her purse down yet.
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: What is Mary Jack?
- 1:05:27Speaker 9: It's every dude listening to this going what. Luckily for
- 1:05:35Speaker 9: me and my sanity, our least was up. So I've
- 1:05:38Speaker 9: been staying with my mama for the past two weeks,
- 1:05:40Speaker 9: and he been staying with his mom. My mom lectured
- 1:05:43Speaker 9: me about not staying with my husband for two weeks,
- 1:05:46Speaker 9: but I told her I need a break. She's always
- 1:05:51Speaker 9: advised me giving up whenever he wanted wherever he wanted.
- 1:05:57Speaker 9: She said, that's how she was married for twenty nine years.
- 1:06:01Speaker 9: Give it up whenever and wherever he won't it?
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Where is this marriage at?
- 1:06:11Speaker 9: You can take her clothes off, so when you come
- 1:06:13Speaker 9: through the door, and you can get it whenever and
- 1:06:15Speaker 9: wherever you want it. Where is this marriage? I ain't
- 1:06:19Speaker 9: get the memo what this letter is astonishing to me?
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: Now here we go.
- 1:06:30Speaker 9: I decided tell my husband exactly how I'm feeling. So
- 1:06:36Speaker 9: his response was, just like your mama. He said that
- 1:06:40Speaker 9: as your his wife, I'm supposed to please him. That's true,
- 1:06:47Speaker 9: but he is supposed to please you too. And if
- 1:06:50Speaker 9: I don't enjoy sex like he does, we don't need.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: To stay married.
- 1:06:57Speaker 2: After four months.
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: And listen to me.
- 1:07:01Speaker 9: This is the fork in the road right here. This
- 1:07:05Speaker 9: is what this letter is all about. If you don't
- 1:07:09Speaker 9: like sex the way I do, we don't need to
- 1:07:13Speaker 9: stay married.
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: She said.
- 1:07:16Speaker 9: I don't like how he said it to me, So
- 1:07:19Speaker 9: let me tell you what he said. Hey, look here,
- 1:07:25Speaker 9: you heard your mama. What your mama say, whenever, wherever?
- 1:07:35Speaker 9: Now take your damn clothes off. See that's this ain't
- 1:07:39Speaker 9: gonna work. I don't care how he said it now,
- 1:07:44Speaker 9: she said, I don't like the way he said it
- 1:07:48Speaker 9: to me. I'm willing to compromise with him. So what
- 1:07:51Speaker 9: is the compromise he wanted? Whenever, wherever, morning and night,
- 1:07:57Speaker 9: that before you go to work, as soon as you
- 1:07:58Speaker 9: get off, because he started taking clothes as soon as
- 1:08:00Speaker 9: you get in now, So.
- 1:08:02Speaker 1: What is the compromise you gonna make. I'm gonna give
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: you some at night.
- 1:08:07Speaker 9: We can't do this in the morning because you're gonna
- 1:08:09Speaker 9: mess up my hair, And we're gonna do it at
- 1:08:12Speaker 9: night after dinner.
- 1:08:13Speaker 1: Stop taking my clothes off soon as I walk through
- 1:08:15Speaker 1: the door.
- 1:08:16Speaker 9: I'm just trying to figure out the compromise, right, But
- 1:08:20Speaker 9: if I fall short on their amount of sex he gets,
- 1:08:23Speaker 9: will he cheat?
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: I think so I would? Yeah, he will he cheat?
- 1:08:32Speaker 9: Yeah, that is what he's gonna do. Because if I'm
- 1:08:34Speaker 9: him thinking like this, he got cheat rolled on the wall.
- 1:08:38Speaker 9: It ain't no way he wanted whenever, hopped he take
- 1:08:41Speaker 9: your clothes off soon as you come in to work.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: Kin, I'm mad at y'all got and my newly weired food. Yeah.
- 1:08:48Speaker 9: Yeah, but he is too though. I think he's a lot.
- 1:08:54Speaker 9: I think he's over the top. I don't see how
- 1:08:58Speaker 9: this is gonna work. Right, I don't know what your
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: compromise is gonna be. I'd love to know what it is,
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: but right now in his mind, whatever wherever you walk through.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: The door, take your damn clothes off and drop them.
- 1:09:13Speaker 9: Yeah, y'all, money ain't right because y'all lease up and
- 1:09:18Speaker 9: you living with your mama and he living with his mama.
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: Y'all need a stronger base. Yeah, damn, get an abby
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and be it when the lease is up for somewhere.
- 1:09:27Speaker 8: Y'all.
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: Thank you. Leave your comments on today's letter on Instagram

- 1:25:13Speaker 2: We appreciate your business.
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: All right, I have a close the remarks for you.
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: I was thinking about this and I want to remind everybody.
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: To stay on your course, stay on your path. God
- 1:25:27Speaker 9: has uniquely made you, and God has uniquely made the
- 1:25:32Speaker 9: path that you are on. Stop looking at other people's
- 1:25:37Speaker 9: paths wanting to take it the same way. Stop picking
- 1:25:41Speaker 9: out your hero or your example and think that's your path,
- 1:25:44Speaker 9: because it's not going to be. You're going to be
- 1:25:47Speaker 9: miserably disappointed if you do that. Do you understand that
- 1:25:51Speaker 9: comparison is the greatest thief of joy. Comparison is the
- 1:25:58Speaker 9: greatest thief of joy, and that happens to people oftentimes
- 1:26:03Speaker 9: when you keep trying to measure yourself, your walk, your destiny,
- 1:26:07Speaker 9: your life with somebody else's.
- 1:26:10Speaker 1: That's not your life. How it worked for them is
- 1:26:13Speaker 1: not going to work for you. How it worked out
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: for them is not going to work out for you.
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: There is no.
- 1:26:20Speaker 9: Smooth way about this thing called success. It is arguous,
- 1:26:26Speaker 9: it is challenging, it is difficult. It is frauth with
- 1:26:32Speaker 9: pitfalls and detours, and that's the.
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: Way it is.
- 1:26:37Speaker 9: Stop looking on Instagram with these people showing you these
- 1:26:41Speaker 9: results and ain't do it it. Does anybody ever on
- 1:26:45Speaker 9: Instagram show you the process. No, they show you the
- 1:26:49Speaker 9: results and the results ain't even real. That ain't a car.
- 1:26:53Speaker 9: Look at all these people, these are filters. That's not
- 1:26:56Speaker 9: how they really look. Man, if you was all at
- 1:26:59Speaker 9: you have somebody, I mean really, I mean you think
- 1:27:02Speaker 9: about it. Stop comparing yourself to other people. Comparison is
- 1:27:07Speaker 9: the greatest thief of joy. You have to understand something, Man,
- 1:27:11Speaker 9: The path you're owns already been designed for you. This
- 1:27:16Speaker 9: is the route you own, this is the life you have.
- 1:27:19Speaker 9: And if you stop comparing yourself, you might discover your
- 1:27:22Speaker 9: life is fine. You might discover, man that this house
- 1:27:26Speaker 9: you stay in is really a nice house. You might
- 1:27:29Speaker 9: discover that the car you driving is doing just what
- 1:27:32Speaker 9: it was set up to do, is getting you view
- 1:27:35Speaker 9: from point A to point B. You might discover, man
- 1:27:39Speaker 9: that that vacation you took, the one you could afford,
- 1:27:42Speaker 9: was really really a nice vacation. But once you start comparing,
- 1:27:47Speaker 9: once you start putting yourself right next to somebody else,
- 1:27:50Speaker 9: all of a sudden that blessing becomes inadequate. And now
- 1:27:56Speaker 9: your chance to enjoy your life, your destiny, your rise
- 1:28:02Speaker 9: nah shaded because you have looked over the looked over
- 1:28:06Speaker 9: the fence at somebody else's house. You heard you saying,
- 1:28:10Speaker 9: the grass is always greener on the other side. Well,
- 1:28:14Speaker 9: you know you gotta you gotta look at your your
- 1:28:16Speaker 9: own yard. The grass, the most green grass you'll be on,
- 1:28:20Speaker 9: is the one that you water the most. Water your
- 1:28:23Speaker 9: own yard. Quit looking at somebody else's half them yards.
- 1:28:26Speaker 9: You looking at this astro turf anyway, it ain't even real.
- 1:28:30Speaker 9: You just ain't over there touching it and feeling it.
- 1:28:32Speaker 9: But they got the facade put up so strong, y'all.
- 1:28:36Speaker 9: The facade that people put up today got us comparing
- 1:28:39Speaker 9: ourselves to a facade. So what she got this bag
- 1:28:44Speaker 9: on Instagram and you don't have one. You don't even
- 1:28:47Speaker 9: know if that's her bag. Look at the bad clothes, y'all.
- 1:28:53Speaker 9: Stop doing that to yourself.
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:28:56Speaker 9: Look, I know a lot a lot are really really
