- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all

- 0:13Speaker 1: them like the million bucks things and the toft good
- 0:21Speaker 1: star listening together for st Please I don't join Jo.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You gotta use that turn you're going to do. You
- 1:24Speaker 1: gotta turn to turn them out. Turn, you got to
- 1:44Speaker 1: turn them out, then turn the water the water go.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Come come on your fad uh huh, I sure will
- 2:03Speaker 1: a good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, Come
- 2:07Speaker 1: on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show. Man got a radio show because God
- 2:13Speaker 1: is in a blessing business. I just happened to be
- 2:16Speaker 1: a recipient. I just happened to got a couple of
- 2:21Speaker 1: things right, and man, his grace and mercy carries you
- 2:28Speaker 1: the rest of the way. All you got to do
- 2:31Speaker 1: is get a couple of things right, and then his
- 2:33Speaker 1: grace and his mercy will take over his favor, his
- 2:38Speaker 1: love of you. It's it's already evident. I mean, you know,
- 2:41Speaker 1: because so many times we go along without even acknowledging
- 2:45Speaker 1: him or conferring with him in our decisions, and we
- 2:48Speaker 1: look up when we find ourselves in a predicament, and
- 2:51Speaker 1: he always comes to the rescue. He always manages to
- 2:57Speaker 1: show up. He's never too late, he's never one minute
- 3:01Speaker 1: too late. And so in light of this today I
- 3:05Speaker 1: wanted to talk to you about something. It's another principle
- 3:11Speaker 1: of success that I'd like to share with everybody this morning.
- 3:16Speaker 1: And once again, these are not things that you don't
- 3:18Speaker 1: know or you've never heard before. These are just reminders
- 3:23Speaker 1: along the way. And one of the things you have
- 3:26Speaker 1: to be conscious of is don't be afraid to change.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Don't be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. See,
- 3:35Speaker 1: I have a theory, don't be afraid to change because
- 3:39Speaker 1: change is coming anyway. You know, everything changes, nothing remains
- 3:44Speaker 1: the same nothing, and change is inevitable. Now, you could
- 3:50Speaker 1: participate in the change, or you can react to the change.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Are you following me. You can participate in the change change,
- 4:01Speaker 1: or you can react to the change. But don't be
- 4:05Speaker 1: afraid to change because change is coming anyway. Now, what
- 4:09Speaker 1: I mean by that is this, in participating in the
- 4:13Speaker 1: change or reacting in the change, there is a difference. See,
- 4:19Speaker 1: if you react to the change, that means the change
- 4:23Speaker 1: has occurred and now you have to make the necessary
- 4:26Speaker 1: adjustments to the change. Example, the boss walks in. You
- 4:31Speaker 1: think your job is good. The boss walks in and
- 4:34Speaker 1: hands you a pink slip. That right there, that's a change.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Now you didn't participate in this change because you didn't
- 4:42Speaker 1: ask for the pink slip. But now you got to
- 4:44Speaker 1: react to the pink slip. Whenever you have to react
- 4:49Speaker 1: to the change, it's an adjustment period. It almost throws
- 4:55Speaker 1: you off. So change is going to come. It always does.
- 5:03Speaker 1: You could participate or you can react. Or let's say
- 5:09Speaker 1: your boss comes in and hands you the pink slip,
- 5:12Speaker 1: and you said, you know what I've been preparing for
- 5:16Speaker 1: this day. Always knew nothing. Last forever, I've been working
- 5:22Speaker 1: on the sideline on the business idea I had and
- 5:25Speaker 1: I had, or I had several other applications in around town.
- 5:29Speaker 1: I was just holding off to see what was going going.
- 5:32Speaker 1: So when they hand you the pink slip, the transition
- 5:35Speaker 1: to adjustment you make is a lot more smooth a
- 5:37Speaker 1: transition because now you just transition into your new business
- 5:42Speaker 1: I did that you've been working on, Or you transition
- 5:44Speaker 1: into the apps you already had in or the contacts
- 5:47Speaker 1: you made the preparation for when the day they're coming
- 5:50Speaker 1: in hand you the pink slip we stee, what did
- 5:53Speaker 1: they surprise you with it? This is just one example
- 5:55Speaker 1: I'm giving you, so you know, let's not nick pick
- 5:59Speaker 1: the message. So what I'm saying to everybody is, don't
- 6:04Speaker 1: be afraid to change because change is coming anyway. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: many people are stuck in a rut because of your
- 6:12Speaker 1: our refusal to change. I was hell bent on a
- 6:17Speaker 1: certain thing going a certain way, and this is how
- 6:20Speaker 1: I was going to go. Well that that I was
- 6:23Speaker 1: thinking didn't really fit. Now in my own personal experience,
- 6:27Speaker 1: this may not be yours, but in my own personal experience,
- 6:31Speaker 1: the things that I've had the most trouble letting go
- 6:34Speaker 1: of was something I wanted when I line myself up
- 6:40Speaker 1: with the will of God to ask God what he
- 6:42Speaker 1: wanted for me. You understand, those things came a lot
- 6:48Speaker 1: more easy to me because it was in the will
- 6:52Speaker 1: of God. It was what God wanted me to do too. Okay,
- 6:54Speaker 1: see what you mean by that? Okay, here we go.
- 6:57Speaker 1: When things were going wrong in relationships for me, what
- 7:04Speaker 1: I did was the biggest mistake I've ever made, was
- 7:08Speaker 1: I attempted to fix what was wrong in my relationship
- 7:12Speaker 1: outside of the relationship filming. Okay, so I'm out there
- 7:18Speaker 1: working my groove like I want to. Well, now, guess what,
- 7:22Speaker 1: there's a cause and effect for all of that too.
- 7:25Speaker 1: Your house ain't gonna get better, it can't. And then
- 7:30Speaker 1: that lady's room for some other things. And so now
- 7:34Speaker 1: that when the change come, guess what, I gotta react
- 7:37Speaker 1: to it. Now, I gotta, I gotta, I gotta have
- 7:41Speaker 1: a reaction to it. Had I lined myself up in
- 7:44Speaker 1: the will of God, the transition may have grown differently.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It could have still ended the relationship. But guess what,
- 7:54Speaker 1: some of the pain I was in I ain't had
- 7:56Speaker 1: to go through. I bought a lot on myself. Sometimes
- 8:01Speaker 1: you're pursuing a passion of yours, and what God really
- 8:06Speaker 1: wants you to do is pursue your gift. So now
- 8:09Speaker 1: you're pursuing your passion. Right, you're passionate about golf. You
- 8:13Speaker 1: love golf so much, you just determine. But now you're
- 8:17Speaker 1: messed around. You ain't made it on the PGA Tour yet,
- 8:20Speaker 1: and you fortify still talking about I'm gonna play on
- 8:23Speaker 1: the PGA Tour. Really, Okay, maybe you ain't as good
- 8:27Speaker 1: as you think, or maybe you're not as gifted as
- 8:29Speaker 1: you think. Maybe you're pursuing a passion. Sometimes, man, we
- 8:33Speaker 1: have to change and we have to ask God what
- 8:37Speaker 1: is his will? His will is much simpler. It's a
- 8:41Speaker 1: simpler rule. Not going to be easier, it's simpler. See
- 8:45Speaker 1: when I wake up. Now, it's simple for me to
- 8:48Speaker 1: wake up because I know that are a few things
- 8:50Speaker 1: that I have to do. I have to click this
- 8:54Speaker 1: mic on. I have to be positive. I have to
- 8:57Speaker 1: be inspirational, I have to be in form and if
- 9:00Speaker 1: I have to be uplifting, got it, That's what he wants.
- 9:04Speaker 1: All I got to do is sit down, close my eyes,
- 9:07Speaker 1: ask God to help me be who he wants me
- 9:10Speaker 1: to be, and for the most part, he tell me
- 9:13Speaker 1: what to say. Now, guess what he's done though to
- 9:16Speaker 1: create this in me. I went through enough things in
- 9:20Speaker 1: my life. I had enough challenges. I made plenty of mistakes.
- 9:25Speaker 1: So I now, at my age, I can turn around
- 9:27Speaker 1: and tell somebody listening to me, Okay, this is what
- 9:30Speaker 1: I did. This is a mistake I made. Maybe you
- 9:31Speaker 1: see yourself in this story right here. Maybe you don't
- 9:34Speaker 1: have to go this way. Or this is what I've
- 9:36Speaker 1: learned about becoming successful. Here's a principle that I learned,
- 9:39Speaker 1: But then guess what I had to be unsuccessful to
- 9:42Speaker 1: get it? Though did not. So you can't have a
- 9:45Speaker 1: testimony without a test Change is coming. It's inevitable. You
- 9:49Speaker 1: can participate or you can react. I much prefer to
- 9:53Speaker 1: participate in the change. All right, let's go. You're listening,
- 10:01Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, It is here the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:05Speaker 1: Another great day filled with gratitude, which leads to the
- 10:10Speaker 1: proper attitude. Thanking him allows you to be introduced to
- 10:19Speaker 1: more blessings from him. It's a simple thing. The more
- 10:24Speaker 1: you thank him for, the more he gives you to
- 10:27Speaker 1: be thankful for. That's a principle of success. Please burn
- 10:33Speaker 1: it in your mind and live your life accordingly. This
- 10:36Speaker 1: is the Steve Harvey Morning Show, starring Shirley Strawberry, Colin Farrell,
- 10:42Speaker 1: care Spates, Mississippi Monica, the Legend, Nephew Tommy, and Ladies
- 10:48Speaker 1: and gentlemen, that damn Jay ain't Thonny Yes, Brown Brown Junior,
- 11:01Speaker 1: what's on your mind? You know? Uncle? Yesterday? And closing man,
- 11:05Speaker 1: you said something had me really thinking, and I'm just
- 11:08Speaker 1: thinking about this unc. You said that pressure really ain't
- 11:10Speaker 1: crushing you because my mind, the pressure I'll be feeling,
- 11:14Speaker 1: Man's like I got to get it or if I
- 11:16Speaker 1: don't get it, I'm a failure if I failed man
- 11:19Speaker 1: as a lot of people depend upon me. But I
- 11:20Speaker 1: thought it really interested is how you look at pressure
- 11:22Speaker 1: that the pressure really ain't crushing you. Pressure is not
- 11:26Speaker 1: designed to crush you. Pressure designed to push something out
- 11:31Speaker 1: of you that's buried on the inside of you that's
- 11:35Speaker 1: going to be necessary for you to attain in order
- 11:39Speaker 1: to get the things you've asked God for. That's what
- 11:44Speaker 1: the pressure is for, to push something inside of you
- 11:49Speaker 1: out so you can have it to you to get
- 11:53Speaker 1: you to where you're asking God to take you. I'll
- 11:56Speaker 1: give you an example. You're under pressure to perform a
- 12:01Speaker 1: certain way. You think this is what you're calling me, right,
- 12:03Speaker 1: You're under pressure to develop, you under pressure to produce.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Right now, what that pressure is doing is is making
- 12:10Speaker 1: you dig down on the inside to discover the necessary tools, attributes,
- 12:17Speaker 1: and characteristics that you possess on the inside that will
- 12:21Speaker 1: allow you to attain, develop, and produce the things you're
- 12:26Speaker 1: asking for. Because every dream comes with the test. You
- 12:32Speaker 1: can't have the dream and don't get the tests. In
- 12:35Speaker 1: order to get to something, you got to go through something.
- 12:39Speaker 1: Ain't nothing just right on the table in front of you.
- 12:43Speaker 1: In order to get to it, you got to go
- 12:45Speaker 1: through it. And so the test are there to design
- 12:49Speaker 1: you so that you can develop the things on the
- 12:51Speaker 1: inside of you. That's what pressure is, Julie Man. That's
- 12:55Speaker 1: what pressure. Knowledge and wisdom give you the same knowledge.
- 13:00Speaker 1: That's like when you when you got to Pete. That's
- 13:02Speaker 1: a lot of pressure. You know what I'm saying. That's
- 13:05Speaker 1: a lot of pressure. But you got to go let
- 13:08Speaker 1: him go ahead exactly. Example, just just get something going
- 13:12Speaker 1: to the bathroom. That's so pressure, but you got to
- 13:15Speaker 1: go through something. All I say is I'll be right back.
- 13:21Speaker 1: See that analogy the reason why. That's the reason. That's
- 13:25Speaker 1: all right, very thing right there, stopping here, all right?
- 13:31Speaker 1: Thank God? To look at the time, uh coming up
- 13:34Speaker 1: at thirty two minutes after the hour. The nephew will
- 13:38Speaker 1: run that prank back right after this. I ain't the
- 13:40Speaker 1: only one felt this pressure. You're listening to show right
- 13:47Speaker 1: now it's time for the nephew to run that prank.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Back what you got. We're gonna on the menu. We
- 13:53Speaker 1: we were down in an entree section. This is called
- 13:56Speaker 1: stupid right here. This is straight stupid. It's in the menu.
- 14:00Speaker 1: Apartment three sixteen, Apartment three sixteen. I'm going to be
- 14:08Speaker 1: at my all time high of stupid. Okay, this is
- 14:15Speaker 1: a special part of the menu. This. You don't have
- 14:18Speaker 1: to set us up with your stupidity. You can just
- 14:20Speaker 1: go ahead. No need to forewarn us, taking us too
- 14:25Speaker 1: wasted words? Right, all right, don't set up then three
- 14:30Speaker 1: to sixteen Apartment three sixteen, cat Dog, if you would, Hello,
- 14:37Speaker 1: I'm trying to reach deal. Yeah, this is dead here
- 14:39Speaker 1: you deal. How are you doing? Man? My name is Bonn. Dude,
- 14:42Speaker 1: h you're living. I'm trying to make sure I got
- 14:44Speaker 1: the right dude, Man, you're living right apartments? Yeah, I
- 14:47Speaker 1: live going on? Okay, you live an apartment on three sixteen? Right, yeah,
- 14:52Speaker 1: it is something I need to be worried. What was
- 14:54Speaker 1: going on at O No, no, no, everything cool with
- 14:57Speaker 1: your apartment. Man. I got your from a lady at
- 15:01Speaker 1: the at the leasing office regarding what's in what's it
- 15:05Speaker 1: in regards to well, actually, what's going to happen me
- 15:08Speaker 1: is I'm going to move took fort and what I
- 15:11Speaker 1: wanted to do, you know, Uh see me in every
- 15:14Speaker 1: apartment I've always heard. I've always lived in an apartment
- 15:18Speaker 1: at three sixteen. And I know you in three sixteen,
- 15:21Speaker 1: so they you know the girl at the office gaming,
- 15:23Speaker 1: you know, because I don't want to move nowhere else where,
- 15:25Speaker 1: I came be in room three sixteen. I gotta be
- 15:28Speaker 1: you know, it's just real superstitius, I know, but I
- 15:31Speaker 1: kind of gotta help you. Say your name Vaughan? Yeah, yeah,
- 15:35Speaker 1: I'm right. And who gave you my number? Again? One
- 15:38Speaker 1: of the ladies at the leasing office when I was
- 15:40Speaker 1: over there? Who was it? I can't really remember her name? Man,
- 15:45Speaker 1: uh little little hey, well listen cut and I'm gonna
- 15:49Speaker 1: tell you like this, man, don't call me for nothing
- 15:51Speaker 1: like that. Man, Now, I ain't moving out of my apartment. Man,
- 15:53Speaker 1: I've been standing up for four years. When I moved
- 15:55Speaker 1: out to the apartment, I moved in the house. I
- 15:58Speaker 1: understanding all this back on with you, which whatever it is,
- 16:02Speaker 1: it's three sixteen one three two, that's on you, man,
- 16:06Speaker 1: Ain't I gotta stay in three sixteen, man. See, that's
- 16:10Speaker 1: that's what I'm trying to say I didn't signed the least,
- 16:12Speaker 1: so I'm stuck with it. I got to get that apartment.
- 16:15Speaker 1: So I'm gonna trying to tell you would you like
- 16:17Speaker 1: to what's your apartment? Would you like to move to?
- 16:20Speaker 1: And I don't get them to move your stuff. Nothing
- 16:24Speaker 1: ain't nothing moving on. Think's gonna move with them numbers.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You can add them up, divide them, do whatever you
- 16:30Speaker 1: want to them, but I ain't move on. So you're
- 16:32Speaker 1: gonna have to get that to your head. Man. And really,
- 16:35Speaker 1: I'm because I don't know I gave you my number
- 16:37Speaker 1: was like this. I meant working called me because I
- 16:41Speaker 1: don't even know no Vaughn, No, no, you don't know
- 16:44Speaker 1: me that I asked them who was in three sixteen?
- 16:46Speaker 1: They told me, none of your business going three sixteen. Man,
- 16:49Speaker 1: Hey listen, man, I'm trying to do this as respectful
- 16:52Speaker 1: as possible. You know, Like I said, I really can't
- 16:55Speaker 1: function unless I'm living in the disrespect me then doing
- 16:59Speaker 1: disrespects for them, because I'm gonna show do this. You
- 17:01Speaker 1: called me with like this, I don't get a favorite now,
- 17:04Speaker 1: I don't care if that was your favorite scripture. Okay,
- 17:06Speaker 1: tell me with like that man. See now you're gonna
- 17:09Speaker 1: make this hard, okay, so let me let me tell
- 17:11Speaker 1: you this to you. I already told the lady I
- 17:13Speaker 1: want to be in three to sixteen. She told me
- 17:15Speaker 1: I needed to deal with dale. Nah. I'm trying to
- 17:18Speaker 1: deal with you in a politeweight okay, because like I say,
- 17:21Speaker 1: I can't function man, unless an apartment three to sixteen,
- 17:24Speaker 1: I can't. I can't get them go to work. I
- 17:26Speaker 1: cannot function. Okay, I have to have that apartment. No right,
- 17:30Speaker 1: it sounds like you got a problem on your hands. Man,
- 17:32Speaker 1: whatever your problem is, that's your problem. Ain't got you
- 17:36Speaker 1: with me? Ok You know like that, Like I say,
- 17:39Speaker 1: I've been staying in three to sixteen, I'm gonna stay
- 17:42Speaker 1: in three to sixteen until I moved to a house.
- 17:45Speaker 1: You didn't find something else to do, and really I'm
- 17:47Speaker 1: starting that gave you my number to call me with
- 17:51Speaker 1: is I can't believe it's like the way you're talking
- 17:55Speaker 1: to you talking to me. First, you come at me
- 17:57Speaker 1: with come at me with a well what I look
- 18:01Speaker 1: like you man? Three sixteen? What excuse me? Dog? What
- 18:06Speaker 1: you're you called me with this? I tell you what? Man?
- 18:09Speaker 1: Come at me to come at my problem that you're
- 18:12Speaker 1: gonna see it. Man, you understand what I'm saying. Hey, man,
- 18:14Speaker 1: I'm trying to handle this respectively. Man, Okay, all right,
- 18:18Speaker 1: I'm trying to do. Listen to me. So I'm trying
- 18:20Speaker 1: to tell you honestly, dog, I cannot function outside of
- 18:23Speaker 1: them three numbers. I have to live in apartment three sixteen.
- 18:26Speaker 1: It ain't my business man, Yo. I don't want to
- 18:28Speaker 1: have to come move, yo, but I do it. Hold on?
- 18:31Speaker 1: What's running back? Which you say? I said I don't
- 18:33Speaker 1: want to have to move? Yo? See it down? Got
- 18:37Speaker 1: me what you're gonna come move? I want? Hey, matter
- 18:40Speaker 1: of fact, Come yeah, come on, come move three sixteen
- 18:43Speaker 1: three sixteen. I had a three for you. Come on, man,
- 18:46Speaker 1: come on, come move my man, Come on two teen silences,
- 18:49Speaker 1: Come on, move yet. I'll kind of going on the
- 18:52Speaker 1: world with no they've got three under sixty five days.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I mean, work you want. I'm on my nine to
- 18:58Speaker 1: five and you come in with you buy three to sixteen.
- 19:01Speaker 1: I'm gonna move somebody. That's how I got to say. Man,
- 19:03Speaker 1: it's gonna be you for I did fo. I deal
- 19:06Speaker 1: with you though, I'm gonna get at least now even
- 19:08Speaker 1: giving you my number. Hey, man, I'm I'm just trying
- 19:12Speaker 1: to tell you I have to stay under them numbers, man,
- 19:15Speaker 1: I have to. I'm superstitious like that. I know, I
- 19:18Speaker 1: know everybody ain't like that, but I just happen to
- 19:19Speaker 1: be like that. You don't say everybody ain't like that. Man,
- 19:22Speaker 1: I ain't got time to be dealing it. Really, everybody
- 19:24Speaker 1: ain't got time. You sit up listing like this and
- 19:27Speaker 1: you look at the Christian man other than I've been
- 19:29Speaker 1: out this job looking what what apartment number did they
- 19:32Speaker 1: give you? They gave me like three twenty nine or
- 19:34Speaker 1: something like that. I don't I can't stay there, man,
- 19:37Speaker 1: That's why I'm gonna meet you. Man, me did it
- 19:39Speaker 1: three twenty nine, six o'clock tonight? How about them numbers? Okay, okay,
- 19:43Speaker 1: So how about these numbers right here? They sell them?
- 19:46Speaker 1: Sell them twinty nine, Steve what man? Hey, sell them?
- 19:50Speaker 1: Sell them pointing nine Steve, Aye, sell them, sell them
- 19:52Speaker 1: twenty nine. See you ain't never heard that number before.
- 19:56Speaker 1: What it's sound for? Man, that's the number to the
- 19:58Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Because this is nephew Tommy and
- 20:02Speaker 1: you just got pranked by your co worker, Limbo. I
- 20:05Speaker 1: mean make it's it's Tom's crazy. Hell, I'll believe this
- 20:11Speaker 1: for us to had me rolling, got me about to
- 20:15Speaker 1: take off and go to the Lisa Off College right now?
- 20:19Speaker 1: Who you say got me? Now? Ain't you got a
- 20:21Speaker 1: co worker? Ain't Limba? Linda acted back Limba covering for

- 25:18Speaker 1: I don't know. Whatever. We can't even see that. We
- 25:22Speaker 1: can't even see the straps on the halter swallowed up
- 25:29Speaker 1: your breast all back that round by your back. If
- 25:33Speaker 1: we can see your breast from behind, you don't need
- 25:36Speaker 1: a damn halter. Okay, what else? What else you get
- 25:41Speaker 1: a lot of these young men, A lot of them

- 28:21Speaker 1: but you didn't hear. You don't believe. Yeah, you don't
- 28:24Speaker 1: believe with yourself. For instance, like this, Hey man, your
- 28:27Speaker 1: number hit yesterday, but I forgot to play it. Oh man?
- 28:36Speaker 1: Oh man, really okay man, that number hit big yesterday.
- 28:42Speaker 1: No man, I forgotten play. Oh how about this when

- 29:54Speaker 1: That's my son, And I know Connie ain't told You're
- 29:59Speaker 1: just gonna out like that. You're a friend, get pulled

- 31:29Speaker 1: This show is okay, But I got something to tell
- 31:33Speaker 1: you though you broke in the house. You know, were
- 31:36Speaker 1: you tripping like that? Guess what? Hey man, I wasn't
- 31:40Speaker 1: gonna tell you this what me and your mama kicking

- 32:02Speaker 1: was an old tea bottle. But that was a year
- 32:05Speaker 1: in specimen I supposed to be taking it. I hate
- 32:13Speaker 1: this show. It's so stupid. Hey, I know you you
- 32:24Speaker 1: asked me brain and weed over here. I got scared.
- 32:28Speaker 1: I just want you to know. Uh, I just went
- 32:31Speaker 1: to the bathroom. I got it out for you. Listen,
- 32:36Speaker 1: you smoked it already, all of it, man, all of it. Hey, man,
- 32:45Speaker 1: you your roommates sitting up there, he tells you. Man, look,
- 32:52Speaker 1: I know you're gonna trip. It came over here, man,
- 32:58Speaker 1: he cut the gas off today, so I sold your
- 33:02Speaker 1: car what they got the cats of so much? Man? Stupid?
- 33:24Speaker 1: Are we so much? Amen? Amen? Amen, come on, we
- 33:34Speaker 1: need you to trip and get all crazy because I
- 33:37Speaker 1: know how you are. Okay, but you know that scratching
- 33:44Speaker 1: on the side of your car, Yeah, well it's it's
- 33:48Speaker 1: got a dent right there now where you you know
- 33:53Speaker 1: that scratch your head outside your car? Hey? Do I
- 34:05Speaker 1: thought you said? I thought you said, didn't you say
- 34:09Speaker 1: that was your cousin. That's not you, that's not your cousin. Okay,
- 34:14Speaker 1: because now I was with it but so you're saying
- 34:16Speaker 1: that's your wife. Now you gotta make up your mind. Man,
- 34:27Speaker 1: you heard the last one. Yes, close it out. Hey, man,
- 34:33Speaker 1: the police came over here to talk to me today.
- 34:36Speaker 1: I ain't I ain't know what else to say, man,
- 34:37Speaker 1: I just told him to call you. What we gotta go?
- 34:44Speaker 1: Crazy guy, you're listening to show. Have you guys ever
- 34:53Speaker 1: worked with someone We all worked together, So listen to this.
- 34:57Speaker 1: Have you ever worked with someone and found out that
- 34:59Speaker 1: he or she was making more money than you? Ever day?
- 35:09Speaker 1: Is that a question? Really? All right? If so, you
- 35:15Speaker 1: know there's this, you immediately want to rush into your
- 35:22Speaker 1: boss's office he just have as a beta boss and
- 35:25Speaker 1: ask for a comparable raise. Now, this is according to
- 35:28Speaker 1: an article and a women's health dot com on their website.
- 35:33Speaker 1: You should first research why your coworker makes more money
- 35:37Speaker 1: and see if your pay is below market rate. Then
- 35:40Speaker 1: go in and negotiate with your boss by pulling together
- 35:44Speaker 1: your accomplishment since being on the staff, is it okay,
- 35:48Speaker 1: that's how you get a raise. Okay, if you find
- 35:50Speaker 1: out someone's making more than okay, that's good advice. Yeah,
- 35:52Speaker 1: do not say you got it. That is not a
- 35:55Speaker 1: that's not a good phrase of you. When you want
- 35:57Speaker 1: to raise, well, you got it talking to yours when
- 36:02Speaker 1: you talk to your boss, I want why do you
- 36:06Speaker 1: need a race? Because you got you got it? No,
- 36:10Speaker 1: you're right, Okay, don't point out stuff they are buying
- 36:14Speaker 1: for themselves if you want to raise I see you
- 36:17Speaker 1: coming here with a new suit every day. Come, but
- 36:20Speaker 1: I need to know and I come. That's not a
- 36:22Speaker 1: good point. Don't don't go look at the car you drive,
- 36:25Speaker 1: look at it and I'm on the bus. Don't don't
- 36:28Speaker 1: go there with that. Bring out your accomplishments. What do
- 36:32Speaker 1: you bring to this company? That's why you want more money.
- 36:35Speaker 1: That's why I found out how much most Steve was making.
- 36:39Speaker 1: That upset me. So what did you do about it
- 36:44Speaker 1: to him? Yeah, you go ask Steve for a race.
- 36:47Speaker 1: That didn't laugh on Steve as CEO. Though I have
- 36:52Speaker 1: been at this a lot longer than you. I've been
- 36:57Speaker 1: in this business longer than you. I've had more failures
- 37:02Speaker 1: than you. You so therefore wasn't going there? He was?
- 37:16Speaker 1: You brought it up on piece of theater. Since you
- 37:19Speaker 1: brought it up, rais I want to talk about I
- 37:27Speaker 1: just been out here longer than you, but you got
- 37:29Speaker 1: like two or three mozy ros didn't me though, I mean,
- 37:32Speaker 1: it's a it's a scream them three. You know what,
- 37:37Speaker 1: I look at it one? No time you got four.
- 37:44Speaker 1: You're referring to it Commas. That's what problem. Don't worry
- 37:54Speaker 1: about the zero, commasked him, damn Commas. And boy, you're
- 38:06Speaker 1: listening show, well, Stephen Tommy, you two are like the
- 38:13Speaker 1: grilling experts on the show, the barbecue experts on the show.
- 38:17Speaker 1: So Memorial Day is coming up, and uh, I wanted
- 38:20Speaker 1: to know if you guys had any tips for us
- 38:23Speaker 1: hips for grilling. For grilling, let me go. Let me
- 38:26Speaker 1: go first, one you've been cooking one that he let
- 38:28Speaker 1: me go first. This is what bothers me about people. Okay,
- 38:32Speaker 1: quit putting all that light of fluid on your charcoal
- 38:36Speaker 1: or your woods. That just drives me crazy. Do you
- 38:41Speaker 1: realize your meat smells just like that light of fluid.
- 38:45Speaker 1: It tastes like that. Yeah, come on, man, get you
- 38:50Speaker 1: some wood. They got some natural wood starters that you
- 38:53Speaker 1: can put in there and light those up. And now
- 38:56Speaker 1: your wood or your charcoal, whichever one you're using, doesn't
- 39:00Speaker 1: taste like a smell like all this gas light of fluid.
- 39:03Speaker 1: You didn't put on that. That's that's one of my
- 39:04Speaker 1: tips right there. That's a pet peever man. So let
- 39:08Speaker 1: me just piggyback off that and say to start your fire.
- 39:13Speaker 1: They sell, they'd sell what time he's talking about as
- 39:17Speaker 1: fire starters. Wood starters wear little white chunks. They got
- 39:22Speaker 1: matched sticks that burn naturally that you could put on them.
- 39:26Speaker 1: But they have these things that look like coffee cans.
- 39:30Speaker 1: They look like a big giant Coffeemok. You put your
- 39:33Speaker 1: charcoal in it and light it from the bottom, and
- 39:38Speaker 1: that can get your charcoal started a little bit more
- 39:42Speaker 1: even for you. You don't pour the charcoal in the
- 39:45Speaker 1: basin of your thing. You pour the charcoal in this
- 39:48Speaker 1: like big round pot and started like that. Yeah it's
- 39:52Speaker 1: got a handle on it. Then you just pour it
- 39:54Speaker 1: in there and they're burn even this is little stuff
- 39:56Speaker 1: you can learn. I have another tip when it's my turn. Okay,
- 40:01Speaker 1: here's another people that people that are you know, amateurs
- 40:04Speaker 1: at grilling. They throw their chicken on and then you
- 40:07Speaker 1: think twenty minutes later, yo chicken is done. Yo chicken
- 40:10Speaker 1: ain't done it. Yeah, it is surely a sport. And
- 40:21Speaker 1: why are you talking Why are we talking about cooking.
- 40:24Speaker 1: Why you trying to stay awake? Why so long? We'll
- 40:30Speaker 1: learn how to cook. The people will come over your
- 40:34Speaker 1: house and not leave so much. If you can cook,
- 40:37Speaker 1: you have whatever. Bring something. So listen. While you cooking
- 40:41Speaker 1: your chicken, keep flipping it and don't be afraid the
- 40:45Speaker 1: slice of piece and see where you are. If you
- 40:47Speaker 1: see a little light red water, you need to cook
- 40:50Speaker 1: a little longer. That means it's still some blood in
- 40:52Speaker 1: the Keep cooking your chicken, keep flipping it, and keep cooking.
- 40:56Speaker 1: That's all I'm asking. Look, man, grilling ain't no thing
- 40:58Speaker 1: where you can leave your meat for ten minutes and
- 41:00Speaker 1: walk off somewhere. That ain't There's some people going in
- 41:04Speaker 1: the house for thirty minute. What did you do? You
- 41:06Speaker 1: can't do that when you grilling. Grilling is a sport.
- 41:10Speaker 1: It's an activity. You got to move that chicken to
- 41:13Speaker 1: the front, to the back. Go ahead, okay, okay, let's
- 41:18Speaker 1: go back. Yeah, go ahead, okay. I don't know nothing
- 41:22Speaker 1: about grilling. I think what you guys are saying it's great.
- 41:25Speaker 1: Well this week, if you add a barbecue, please bring
- 41:29Speaker 1: good ass plates. Okay. If the sign says cheap plates,
- 41:34Speaker 1: if it says cheap plates, damn it, don't bring them. Okay,
- 41:38Speaker 1: it says cheap plates, right there, bring good ass plates,
- 41:42Speaker 1: all right, jack, All right here here's one quicker. I
- 41:46Speaker 1: give it back when you when you he said your charcoals?
- 41:49Speaker 1: Are you even them out? Um? You know when you
- 41:51Speaker 1: get it, when you get it going. But some of
- 41:54Speaker 1: us like to have a real hot side and then
- 41:57Speaker 1: a warm side while you cook it, you understand. So
- 42:00Speaker 1: you may have more wood mr charcoals on one side
- 42:02Speaker 1: and then on another side you got you still got
- 42:04Speaker 1: wooden charcoals, but it's not as heavy as the other side.
- 42:07Speaker 1: That's just one of my Yeah, my tip is I
- 42:10Speaker 1: have the backside of my grill, I put no charcoal back.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Then on the backside, I put none so you can
- 42:20Speaker 1: move some meat off that heat if it's cooking too fast.
- 42:24Speaker 1: Those are you gotta have? What time he's talking about
- 42:26Speaker 1: a cool spot on the grill, I put no charcoal
- 42:30Speaker 1: on the back on the back forth of the grill,
- 42:33Speaker 1: I put no charcoal. This was so exciting. And you
- 42:36Speaker 1: can set the money on. You can set the meat
- 42:38Speaker 1: on top of each piece if you have to to
- 42:42Speaker 1: keep it off the stacke and Shirley, don't rush us
- 42:45Speaker 1: with your lum kicking as it's people who care about
- 42:49Speaker 1: this though, like yes, and ain't nobody coming to your house?
- 42:56Speaker 1: Heat now? No, damn crock pot on gotta coming up now.
- 43:00Speaker 1: He's the nephew with today's prank phone. All right after
- 43:03Speaker 1: this you're listening show coming up at the top of
- 43:09Speaker 1: the hour. About four minutes after after the hour, it's
- 43:11Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today. Subject my ex wife ran
- 43:15Speaker 1: off my fiance. My ex wife ran my fiance off. Okay, wow, yeah,
- 43:21Speaker 1: wait till you hear this letter. Guys, almost happened. What
- 43:27Speaker 1: is every outside boy? Why is every letter always about? Yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 1: I've had a hell of a life. Right now at
- 43:37Speaker 1: your nephews turn Uncle Steve, he's here with today's prank phone. Call.
- 43:41Speaker 1: What you got nef? I want to date your mom?

- 44:00Speaker 1: touch with with Miss Byrne, one of the members gave
- 44:03Speaker 1: me a number, but I guess they they must have
- 44:05Speaker 1: gave me the wrong number. I guess it's is this
- 44:07Speaker 1: a home number or what? Is this a hold of? Hello? Who? Who?

- 44:24Speaker 1: All right? Well yeah, my bad man. I was trying
- 44:26Speaker 1: to get in touch with miss Burns. Now is do
- 44:28Speaker 1: you have a sale or home number somewhere I can
- 44:30Speaker 1: get in touch with Miss Burns? Wait to time till
- 44:33Speaker 1: me tell you your name is what? Gordon Gordon? Gordon?
- 44:37Speaker 1: I just joined the church, man, so I might not
- 44:39Speaker 1: have met you yet, Jane. Okay, well, God bless you man,
- 44:42Speaker 1: Thank you man. I appreciate it. Is anywhere I could
- 44:45Speaker 1: get your mom's home number from. I mean, you're just
- 44:50Speaker 1: joined the church. I mean, I don't I don't see
- 44:52Speaker 1: why you wouldn't be able to talk to it. I mean,
- 44:54Speaker 1: is there anything Is there a message I could pass
- 44:56Speaker 1: on to it? Though? Uh? Well yeah, I mean I'm
- 45:00Speaker 1: trying to see if it's all right. For me to
- 45:03Speaker 1: take her out. I've been seeing her for the last
- 45:07Speaker 1: Hold up, Hold up, Hold up, hold hold hold and
- 45:10Speaker 1: tell you were just into you a new member to
- 45:12Speaker 1: the church, and somebody gave you or they were attempting
- 45:18Speaker 1: to give you my mother's number, and you're asking me
- 45:20Speaker 1: if you could take her out. Man, Well, I wasn't
- 45:22Speaker 1: asking you. I thought I had her phone number. I
- 45:25Speaker 1: guess they give me your number. Bout mistake. You know,
- 45:28Speaker 1: that's my reason for Carl. I thought I was gonna
- 45:29Speaker 1: get her. I want to take her out, you know,
- 45:31Speaker 1: maybe to dinner or something. Well, I'll be quite honest, man,
- 45:34Speaker 1: I just came back home from overseas, from fighting and everything. Man.
- 45:37Speaker 1: And uh, I mean you know my pops just passed
- 45:41Speaker 1: away not too long ago. And I ain't you know,
- 45:44Speaker 1: I ain't too keen or my mama going out with
- 45:47Speaker 1: somebody beside you. You don't even sound like you hey
- 45:50Speaker 1: in the sixties. Man, older you man, I'm thirty six.
- 45:54Speaker 1: The hell out of you? You how old man? I'm
- 45:56Speaker 1: thirty six. I'm thirty four. What did you do? And
- 46:00Speaker 1: you do realize my mom is pushing sixty right? You
- 46:03Speaker 1: know what? Man? I look at it like James, Right, James,
- 46:06Speaker 1: I look at it like it's you know heyes, ain't
- 46:09Speaker 1: number but the number man, It wasn't your heart man,

- 46:15Speaker 1: but my mom ain't no cougar like that. And I
- 46:17Speaker 1: know she ain't coming after you right now. I remember
- 46:20Speaker 1: telling me that she trying some new things at this church,
- 46:23Speaker 1: but going out with some thirty thirty. How do you
- 46:27Speaker 1: do a baby, man, I'm thirty. I'm thirty six. Dude. Man,
- 46:31Speaker 1: you like my brother. Something man ain't nowhere in the world.
- 46:34Speaker 1: My mama gonna be days okay than Jane. Let me
- 46:38Speaker 1: say this man. First of all, I ain't even know
- 46:39Speaker 1: I was calling you. Second of all, I'm calling and
- 46:42Speaker 1: speak with her. I'm not calling trying to get permission
- 46:44Speaker 1: from you. Miss Burns is a grown woman. And whoa, whoa,
- 46:49Speaker 1: whoa talking about I don't think you're every man. I
- 46:51Speaker 1: just came back from fighting over seed. My pops passed
- 46:54Speaker 1: away not too long ago. I am the man of
- 46:57Speaker 1: the house. Let's get that straight right now, all right.
- 47:00Speaker 1: I don't care if I'm still living at home or not.
- 47:02Speaker 1: I'm the man of this house, all right. You calling
- 47:04Speaker 1: the ass my mama on a date. You might as
- 47:08Speaker 1: well just stick the church, dog, because you know, as
- 47:10Speaker 1: I said, be blessed, But it ain't gonna be no
- 47:12Speaker 1: blessing for me to you. I tell you that right now.
- 47:16Speaker 1: I'm I'm not looking for a blessing from you at all. Bro.
- 47:20Speaker 1: You might no blessing, but I respect the fact that
- 47:24Speaker 1: you've been overseas and you've been fighting for this country. Okay,
- 47:27Speaker 1: But if I decide I want to speak to miss
- 47:30Speaker 1: Burns about going out, I think Miss Burns has every
- 47:32Speaker 1: right to decide if she would like to go out
- 47:35Speaker 1: with Gordons or not. And Gordon wants to take her out,
- 47:38Speaker 1: I took up. Hold up, look, bro, I don't care
- 47:42Speaker 1: how old you say you are, all right, number one,
- 47:44Speaker 1: you're too young, as I already mentioned. All right, this
- 47:47Speaker 1: ain't going down with you and my mom. I'm straight up,
- 47:51Speaker 1: hey man, that's for your mama to decide. No, dog
- 47:54Speaker 1: that you you bringing up my mamma. You letting the
- 47:56Speaker 1: word your mama come out your mouth again, that's gonna
- 47:59Speaker 1: get you, all right. I don't know where you're from.
- 48:02Speaker 1: I don't get how old you are. I'm pretty sick.
- 48:05Speaker 1: I know what church my mamma go to and and
- 48:08Speaker 1: it ain't gonna be her and you you ain't gonna
- 48:10Speaker 1: be asking her out, all right. I don't give what
- 48:13Speaker 1: it take. I would show up on Sunday, catch up
- 48:17Speaker 1: in the pulpit or wherever you're gonna be sitting in
- 48:19Speaker 1: the back of the choir. It don't matter something's going down.
- 48:22Speaker 1: You will not gonna get with my mama like that.
- 48:25Speaker 1: You got that. That's up for your mama to decide
- 48:27Speaker 1: if your mamma want to go out with me to
- 48:29Speaker 1: out dinner. I ain't going wrong with this, man, I'm
- 48:32Speaker 1: I'm deciding it right now. It ain't gonna happen. I
- 48:35Speaker 1: told you before, be blessed or get your whook. You
- 48:39Speaker 1: got two choices, all right. I didn't fight the seeds
- 48:42Speaker 1: three years to come back and also deal with my
- 48:46Speaker 1: daddy did and then come back. I'm suffering from PSD. Dog,
- 48:50Speaker 1: I don't know what I'm gonna do unless you want
- 48:52Speaker 1: to get it like that. Suffer from one a PSD
- 48:56Speaker 1: post traumatic stress syndrome, and I will release all that
- 49:00Speaker 1: on you. Got that one. I don't play hey, man, listen,
- 49:04Speaker 1: I don't want no trouble it don't matter to me.
- 49:06Speaker 1: You can tell you. Okay, Look, man, listen, I ain't
- 49:09Speaker 1: trying to have no trouble about you. Man. All I'm
- 49:11Speaker 1: gonna say is this right here. I'm I'm gonna I
- 49:13Speaker 1: talk to you mom on Sunday. Okay, you ain't gonna

- 49:19Speaker 1: I'm crazy right now? Okay? Can I say this? Can
- 49:22Speaker 1: I say one more things to you? Man? So you explode.
- 49:25Speaker 1: You ain't got nothing else to say. I got one
- 49:27Speaker 1: more thing before you explode? Man, Is you listening? Yeah? Man, James?
- 49:32Speaker 1: What hey? Man? I want to tell you this. Man.

- 52:00Speaker 1: up and hold on type. We got it for you here.
- 52:02Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Subject my ex wife ran
- 52:06Speaker 1: my fiance off. Dear Stephen Shirley, I am in a
- 52:09Speaker 1: desperate need of advice. I was here for you. I
- 52:14Speaker 1: was engaged to be married, but my fiance and I
- 52:17Speaker 1: recently split up after my ex wife caused a whole
- 52:21Speaker 1: lot of problems in our relationship when my ex. When
- 52:26Speaker 1: my ex heard I was engaged, she called me. I
- 52:30Speaker 1: told her that I was extremely happy and excited to
- 52:33Speaker 1: get remarried. My ex said that she was happy for
- 52:36Speaker 1: me and wished me met wished to me well, which
- 52:39Speaker 1: was a big lie. Oh, this ain't about me. Never
- 52:45Speaker 1: seen a few days after we talked. Well, listen and
- 52:49Speaker 1: get listening, Keep listening, keep listening. Oh no, it's not okay,
- 52:53Speaker 1: go keep listening. See I'm trying to ignorant, right. She
- 52:58Speaker 1: was happy for me and wished me well. Well, it
- 53:01Speaker 1: was a big he said, it was a big lie.
- 53:03Speaker 1: A few days after we talked, this must be will
- 53:07Speaker 1: Smith go ahead, because they had that great relationship all
- 53:12Speaker 1: and people sitting together talking and stuff. All right, here
- 53:18Speaker 1: we go. A few days after we talked, my ex
- 53:20Speaker 1: created a new Facebook page named it the Thompsons and
- 53:25Speaker 1: posted a bunch of old pictures from our wedding and
- 53:27Speaker 1: family vacations. My fiance's mother saw the Facebook page and
- 53:33Speaker 1: showed it to my fiance, and that's when everything hit
- 53:37Speaker 1: the fan. I told my fiance that, yes, I talked
- 53:40Speaker 1: to my ex because she called me. I didn't call her.
- 53:44Speaker 1: I told my fiance that I had no idea that
- 53:47Speaker 1: the Facebook page existed because I don't deal with my
- 53:51Speaker 1: ex wife at all. My fiance didn't believe me, so
- 53:55Speaker 1: she called my ex, and my ex gave her an
- 53:58Speaker 1: earful of lies. She told my fiance that I still
- 54:02Speaker 1: try to see her and that we are still in
- 54:04Speaker 1: love with each other and talk often. Of course, my
- 54:07Speaker 1: fiance was all confused and didn't know who to believe,
- 54:10Speaker 1: so she called off the wedding and we broke up.
- 54:13Speaker 1: My ex found out about her breakup and claimed she
- 54:16Speaker 1: felt awful about it, so she sent my fiance an
- 54:19Speaker 1: email admitting that she lied about everything and she was
- 54:22Speaker 1: sorry that she interfered. My fiance still doesn't want to
- 54:27Speaker 1: marry me, and we barely talk at all now. Even
- 54:29Speaker 1: though my ex admitted she was lying, I'm still suffering
- 54:33Speaker 1: from what she did. Can you please offer some advice
- 54:36Speaker 1: on how I can get my lady back. I cannot
- 54:39Speaker 1: stand my ex wife for this, but I'm going to
- 54:42Speaker 1: let God deal with her. I just want my fiance back.
- 54:45Speaker 1: Please help. Yeah, yeah, this is this is this is funky, funky,
- 54:51Speaker 1: funky right here, don't I don't like your ex wife.
- 54:55Speaker 1: I'm just gonna put that out there. Don't like her
- 54:57Speaker 1: at all. She's a stuff starter. She's a very negative person.
- 55:00Speaker 1: She doesn't care who she hurts. Yeah you know what
- 55:04Speaker 1: I mean. She doesn't care how many lives she destroys,
- 55:09Speaker 1: how many lives she tells. She doesn't care, she's cage,
- 55:12Speaker 1: she's tricky, all of that. It's just so wrong on
- 55:17Speaker 1: so many levels what she did. And you're right, You're right,
- 55:19Speaker 1: I'm gonna go with you when you say you're gonna
- 55:21Speaker 1: let God deal with her, because it's not it's not
- 55:25Speaker 1: really about her. It's not really about her. It's just
- 55:32Speaker 1: never about It's not about your X. This is about
- 55:35Speaker 1: your most recent X, your X fiance, because there was
- 55:39Speaker 1: a problem in your relationship. There had to be some
- 55:43Speaker 1: kind of problem on her part that you didn't know
- 55:45Speaker 1: about in your relationship, a trust issue. How can she
- 55:50Speaker 1: let this X just come out of nowhere? Do all
- 55:53Speaker 1: this stuff make her doubt you? Okay? And do all
- 55:59Speaker 1: these things and believe this woman over you and you
- 56:02Speaker 1: guys are making wedding plans here. Okay, Yeah, she can
- 56:07Speaker 1: be confused, but to just throw it all away over
- 56:10Speaker 1: what she said, especially the woman gave her an email
- 56:13Speaker 1: and says she was lying, but she doesn't know what
- 56:15Speaker 1: to believe. I don't know if you're going to ever
- 56:17Speaker 1: get this woman back. I really don't, because the trust
- 56:21Speaker 1: is broken on her part. She doesn't trust you because
- 56:25Speaker 1: your x X did so much damage. And you know,
- 56:29Speaker 1: I mean, I'm sure you've done everything a man could
- 56:31Speaker 1: do to prove to her that this is not true.
- 56:33Speaker 1: You told her you didn't talk to her, you don't
- 56:35Speaker 1: call her. You told her that, you told her the
- 56:37Speaker 1: ex called you, You told her all that. She wasn't
- 56:40Speaker 1: buying any of it. I guess there was too much
- 56:43Speaker 1: evidence that she saw with the Facebook page and the
- 56:47Speaker 1: pictures and all of that. The problem I think is
- 56:49Speaker 1: with your most recent x fiance, excuse me, and not
- 56:54Speaker 1: trusting you, and not knowing what to believe and not
- 56:58Speaker 1: wanting to go farther and the relationship. Steve, Shirley, I
- 57:03Speaker 1: agree with you one. I think you've hit it spot on. Yeah,
- 57:07Speaker 1: he in trouble could yeah yah, Yeah, he washed up
- 57:10Speaker 1: here here on the banks here fish that then got
- 57:13Speaker 1: washed up on shore and it's low tide. He just
- 57:16Speaker 1: said he needed water back in desperately because he died. Yeah,
- 57:22Speaker 1: he loved this girl. Shirley is really spot on. This
- 57:26Speaker 1: is the straw that broke the camel's back. You all
- 57:31Speaker 1: have had trust issues before. This was the one thing
- 57:35Speaker 1: she couldn't take. But the words of Marvin Gaye's song
- 57:39Speaker 1: to his ex wife Janets, you were my wife, my flower,
- 57:43Speaker 1: my hopes, my dreams, And for you to understand what
- 57:46Speaker 1: this means, I shall explain I was still all your jealousies, yes,
- 57:51Speaker 1: and your too, but I forget it all once in
- 57:55Speaker 1: being with you. But old Holly, how could we indo
- 58:00Speaker 1: light this? All right? Marvin is not here? Okay, all right,
- 58:08Speaker 1: Steve sings us out of this, uh this letter right here.
- 58:12Speaker 1: We'll be back with his second response at twenty three
- 58:18Speaker 1: after the hours, subject my ex ran off my fiance.
- 58:21Speaker 1: We'll be right back right after this. You're listening, all right, Steve.
- 58:29Speaker 1: Please let's recap today's strawberry letter and get to your response,
- 58:33Speaker 1: subject my ex wife ran my fiance off. This dude's
- 58:37Speaker 1: ex wife found out that he was engaged, called him
- 58:41Speaker 1: and told me that she was happy and excited for me,
- 58:44Speaker 1: he said, which was a big laugh. A few days
- 58:47Speaker 1: after we talked, his ex wife created a brand new
- 58:50Speaker 1: Facebook page and called it to Thompson's and posted a
- 58:53Speaker 1: bunch of old picts that they win and family vacation.
- 58:57Speaker 1: Then this dude's fiance's mama saw the Facebook page showed
- 59:02Speaker 1: it to my fiance, his damn mama. See her damn
- 59:05Speaker 1: mama in it. This is why you can't get your
- 59:08Speaker 1: girl back, man, because she under the scrutiny her mama.
- 59:11Speaker 1: Look at this on Facebook. Sister Claire re see this
- 59:15Speaker 1: er Lane hasn't seen it. I can't go know where
- 59:19Speaker 1: everybody has seen this. Hell, this man advancing you like that,
- 59:23Speaker 1: and now your friends and found out about it because
- 59:25Speaker 1: you took it to your friends and your friends have
- 59:29Speaker 1: been commenting on it. Girl, this is new. When everything
- 59:32Speaker 1: hit the fan, I told my fiance that, yes, I
- 59:35Speaker 1: talked to my ex because she called me. I didn't
- 59:39Speaker 1: call her. I told my fiance I had no idea
- 59:42Speaker 1: that the Facebook page existed because I don't deal with
- 59:45Speaker 1: my ex at all. Your fiance didn't believe you, man,
- 59:49Speaker 1: so she called my ex. She called your ex, and
- 59:51Speaker 1: your ex gave her ear full of lies. Oh, man,
- 59:55Speaker 1: see hit this? Why you dog that? Man? Hell hath
- 59:58Speaker 1: no fury like a woman scorn? Now that's right. I thought,
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: hell hath no fury like a woman scoring? I really
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: thought for years until it surely told me last year
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: that that's not a scripture. And then I wanted to
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: have a meeting with all the theologians and all of
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: them to see if we could get it put in nothing.
- 1:00:25Speaker 1: I just think it's if some are to be in there,
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: why that ain't there there? And so they told me
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: I couldn't do that. So I got off of that,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: So you're so she told your ex wife said that
- 1:00:36Speaker 1: y'all still in love, that you try to see her. See,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: here's a key, still try to see her. If the
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: girl had something on you seeing her, she wouldn't have
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: said you still try to see her. She just said,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: I got texts, I got pictures, because you gotta text,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: somebody gotta picture. You gotta have phone records. They don't
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: have that on you. Dog, She lied and said, I
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: still try to see her, and then we're still in
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: love with each other and we talk often where the
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: phone records. Of course, my fiance was all confused and
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: didn't know who to bleeve, so she called off the
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: web and we broke up. She broke up because of
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: that phone call and her damn mama, wait what her
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: damn mama, mama, man man all man, now you over
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: there trying to explain, and she standing behind her daughter
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: with her own folk, with her lips perched. Of course,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: my fiance come. My ex found out about our break
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: up and claimed she felt awful about it. So she
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: sent my fiance an email admitting that she lied about
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: everything and she was sorry that she interfield my fiance
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: still don't want to marry me and we barely talk
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: it on now. See that's crazy, man. Even though my
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: ex admitted she was lying, I'm still suffering from what
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: she did. Can you please offer some advice I can
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: get my lady back. I cannot stand my ex wife

- 1:03:09Speaker 1: See a lot of times they call. You play it off.

- 1:03:45Speaker 1: I'm gonna let God deal with them. So you got
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: some kind of sense. You gotta get to your girl,
- 1:03:52Speaker 1: and you gotta refresh her memory. You gotta Michael Jackson though.

- 1:07:33Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to
- 1:07:37Speaker 1: Steve Show. All right. Yahoo is reporting, guys, a new
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: pole that finds fifty nine percent of couples say that
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: they um suspected their partner of cheating. If they suspected them,
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: they would discuss the matter with them rather than jumping
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: to conclusions. I'm gonna say that again for the lateies. Okay,
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: of couples say that if they suspected their partner of cheating,
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: they would discuss the matter with them rather than jumping
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: to conclusions. Okay, let me ask you a questions, Shirley
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: and Colum, Now, let me ask you a question. Just
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: listen to this question. If you suspected your husband of cheating,
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: and it was not on the internet, nobody knew, none
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: of your co workers, it was not it wasn't made public.
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: If you suspected your husband of cheating, would you bring
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: it up calmly? Would you bring it up with anger?
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: How would you do it? Probably? All of the above
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: for me without the calm though you're already nowhere. I'm
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: coming bigger, all of it. All of the above for me,
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: without the calm. Anger. If I suspected that not yet? No, well,
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: I mean, if you had suspicious you ain't no proof,
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: you ain't, you ain't heard nothing, you ain't got no pictures,
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: ain't no ain't on internet, and none of that. But Steve,
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: you know we have intuition. You know we have intuition.
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: Disappointing to you, mister Harvey. I don't know. I'm just
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: trying to see what y'all would do. I don't really
- 1:09:19Speaker 1: and and the word discussion, I have a problem with
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: there will be no discussion. Well, you gonna just find
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: out on your own first, like dot se SI, let
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: me ask you a question. Suppose you discovered that you
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: were wrong about him and that he wasn't cheating. What
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: happens at that point? Oh, then I'm apologizing and begging
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: to his forgiveness, begging for his forgiveness and threatening him
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: he better not do it. You see what happens? Yeah,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: God in the tart, you gotta do that. Yeah, you
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: apologize for your wrong doing, but you know, make up
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: to him. You know all of that. Wow, that's a man.
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: Any more questions, We're here for it. No, y'all's answers
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: is short and yeah and truthful, and there's no there's
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: no one in between, ain't no. You know that's I
- 1:10:18Speaker 1: don't like talking. Yeah, if were you expecting something else?
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: I don't know what I expected, but that wasn't it.
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: You've obviously been through this before. I'll tell you what
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I found out. Though I'm fine out, I ain't fired
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: up to have a discussion once they find out I'll cheating.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: It's all. You're ugly ass sitting up here. Got the
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: need cheat? No, you did, but Junior don't you know
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: that money changes things? How you get the nerve that
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: was before? Look at you now see Tommy saying Dane
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: Junior like you can't believe Junior called himself ugly. Tommy,
- 1:10:58Speaker 1: you're ugly. No, I am not. I'm not gonna let
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you break. Stop doing that. You're gonna listen. You're not
- 1:11:05Speaker 1: gonna do this. I'm not. I'm gonna tell the truth.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: Are you fine? No, I'm not no fine, and I'm
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: not off. But I ain't just gonna be hug little No,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: I'm not doing that. Do You're not fine and I'm
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: not hugging. But listen to me. If you're not fine,
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: then by a longe shit, what you think that is?
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Why don't do that to him? I don't know why.
- 1:11:29Speaker 1: I tell me. Keep thinking he cute, but you're not cute.
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: I didn't say I was cute. I'm just saying I'm
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: not telling Listen to me. Listen to me. You look
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: strang I'm decent. I don't look strang man. You do.
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: I do not look straight. All you got to do
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: start get a mirror and look at yourself from the side.
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: You're strange. I am not strange. Tommy. You are you
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: look strange? All everybody, all of me in our family,
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: we're strange looking from the side. Look, I have fun
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: with the time and when you accept it, Tommy and
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: he's never going to accept that. You guys know that
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I'm not I'm not doing all right. Speak you're listening
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to all right. Here's something we can all comment on
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: or think about. If you could be the best player
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: in any sport. What sport would that be? We all
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: know the NFL is the most popular sport. Football. Of course,
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: that's the most popular sport in the land. But the
- 1:12:41Speaker 1: players are mostly unseen because they wear helmets. Okay, and
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: they get hit a lot. Uh, it's not ideal. NBA
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: players have a good gig, but playing basketball still involves
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: a lot of running around, you know, a lot of running. So, guys,
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: if you were to be the best player in any sport,
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: what would that be, Steve, be basketball? Give a damn
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: what that survey said. You'd run around on all that
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: damn running around? What you want to do? What sport
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: I want to be? No damn baseball player. Get out there,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: n nine en, you're out there every third inning. Don't
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: want to be out there for that what about you, junior?
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: Want to be no damn hockey, gonna run my ass
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: up in that wall. Were fighting, some teeth will be
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: knocked out. Should't up here and playing no dry ass
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: soccer wonder nothing been out hit ninety eight minutes running
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: them down. I ain't even chick the damn ball, kick
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: them in. Just get this ball in this net, bast
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: but you can't throw it in there? What about you, junior?
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: Coming on basketball and the ladies that couldn't win it? Okay,
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: all right, okay, what me honestly about sumo wrestling? You
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: know at least you naked hand one? All right? All right?
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: Coming up? More fun, more music, more ignorance on the
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. We'll be back right after this.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Have you, guys,
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: ever worked with someone? We all work together, so listen
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: to this. Have you ever worked with someone and found
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: out that he or she was making more money than you?
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Day about? Is that a question? Really? All right? If so,
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: you know there's this, you immediately want to rush into
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: your boss's office. Huh, he just happens a beata boss
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: and asked for a comparable raise Now. This is according
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: to an article and a women's health dot com on
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: their website. You should first research why your coworker makes
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: more money and see if your pay is low market rate.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: Then go in and negotiate with your boss by pulling
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: together your accomplishment since being on the staff. That is it. Okay,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: that's how you get a raise. Okay, if you find
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: out someone's making more than okay, that's a good advice. Yeah,
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: do not say you got it. That is not a
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: That's not a good phrase to you when you want
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: to raise or you got it. Yeah, talk when you
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: talk to your boss. I want why do you need
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: a race because you got you got it? No, you're right, ja, Okay,
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: don't point out stuff they are buying for themselves if
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: you want to raise. I see you coming here with
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: a new suit every day I come. What I need
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: to know is I come. That's not a good point.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Don't don't go click at the cart and I'm on
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: the bus. Don't don't vote there with that. Bring out
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: your accomplishments. What do you bring to this company? That's
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: why you want more money? I found out how much
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: that upset me? So what did you do about it?
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: To him, Yeah you go as Steve Race that didn't laugh,
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: Steve Ceo, though I have been at this a lot
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: longer than you. I've been in this business longer than you.
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: I've had more failures than you, So therefore wasn't going there.
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: He wasn't brought it up on piece of theater since
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: you brought it up, rais I want to talk about
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: I just been out here longer than you. But you
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: got like two or three mozy rods, didn't me though,
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I mean it's a it's a screaming two or three,
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: you know what I look at it? This tell me
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: hold one, don't tell me you have You're referring to
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: its commas that don't where about them? Zero commas? Commas, boy,
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: your zero? Your money is commons you're listening to. Here's
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Steve with his closing remarks. My closes remarks today as
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: rather personal to me, as I'm sure it is with
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: a lot of you when you hear the subject. But
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: I want to try to encourage people to make this
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: readily available to themselves. I can't even begin to tell
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: you how effective this weapon has been for me throughout
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: my life, how many times I have used this to
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: help me, to comfort me, to soothe me, to guide me,
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: to just make me feel like somebody's listening. I'm talking
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: about the effectiveness of prayer. I want to remind everybody
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: on a personal level of what prayer has meant to me. Now,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: I'm sure that millions of people listening to me know
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: exactly what I'm talking about, but sometimes you got to
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: say it out loud as a reminder to yourself and
- 1:18:35Speaker 1: just an offer to other people who might be struggling
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: out there. Because everybody struggles with something, But every time
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: I've truly struggled with something, prayer has been my most
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: effective tool. It really is. Man. The thing about prayer
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: to cool thing about prayers. You don't have to ask
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: for nobody's permission, you don't need in a appointment, you
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: don't have to clear it with anybody. And I'm sure
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: that you know people will share with you certain methods
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: they use. But really, anyway you do it be just fine.
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: You don't have to be on your knees, you know,
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: if you want to, that's absolutely fine. But you could
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: be on the public transportation, you could be driving, you
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: could be sitting in your car, you could be in
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: your cubicle. You could be at your desk, you could
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: be at your workstation, you could be walking on the
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: way to lunch. You can do it anywhere. So please
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: don't wait until you have an available space or time.
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: Because the thing about praying God man, He's always available.
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: The cool thing about prayer also, it doesn't require perfection.
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: And what I mean by that is you don't have
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: to have yourself together to do it. This is a
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: big one that people need to understand. Prayer does not
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: require perfection. As a matter of fact. Prayer doesn't require
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: that you come to pray after you get it right.
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: Matter of fact, you don't have to get it right.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: You don't have to be perfect. Prayer is for broken people.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: Prayer is for people that are confused. Prayers for people
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: who are unsure about the next move. Prayd is for
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: people who are grieving. Prad is for people who are hurting.
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: Prayer is for people who feel alone. It's for people
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: who got no where to go, who have no place
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: to turn. Now, it would be good if you used
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: it all the time, but let's be honest, a lot
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: of times we wait till something is wrong. It's best
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: to do it all the time. But if you are
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: finding yourself in one of these positions of being broken, confused, unsure, hurting,
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: grieving alone, then it's available. Because the thing about God
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: is he's merciful. He understands already that you're not perfect.
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: He understands already that you only come to him a
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: lot of times when you really need him. But the
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: incredible thing about him is he's always there. That's incredible.
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: God is behind the prison walls, He's inside of hospitals.
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: God is down at the funeral hole. God shows up
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: man when he needed most, when he's needed most. And
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: it doesn't matter because let me tell you what prayer
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: has done for me. It is giving me comfort. It
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: has given me a sure fire way to get real answers,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: connects us to the greatest source of power available to man.
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: I'm just talking to you real, y'all. I'm just giving
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: it to you the way I see it. That are
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: people who can explain prayer far better than me. I'm
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: pretty shure there's some people in that poor pitch can
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: give you a cold, cold definition of prayer. But what
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: if you ain't, What if you ain't Dawn that Sunday.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: I'm just telling you from a hood cat that prayer
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: has worked for me, that it got through, got me
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: through some of my darkest moments when it seemed like
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: everywhere I turned they was against me. Prayer got me
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: through it. Oh. I've done some things publicly, man, Lord
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: have mercy, man that I know would have crumbled me
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: if it was not for prayer. Oh, I've heard people
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: talking about me that don't even know me, ain't never
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: met me, just saying negative about me. You know what
