- 2:13Speaker 1: got one. What a blessing it is. I can't even
- 2:16Speaker 1: explain my whole life. My whole life is a blessing.
- 2:18Speaker 1: It really is. In spite of all the things that
- 2:21Speaker 1: happened contray to having the appearances of a blessing. As
- 2:25Speaker 1: I look back on my life today, it all happened
- 2:28Speaker 1: for a reason. It all came together, tied together, and um,
- 2:33Speaker 1: you know it's important, man. I think a lot of
- 2:34Speaker 1: people are asking me about my success and how I
- 2:37Speaker 1: got here and how do I attribute in what was
- 2:40Speaker 1: the steps. I want to tell you what it is.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Now listen to me before I get started. Please understand
- 2:45Speaker 1: that everything that I tell you is faith based. Everything
- 2:49Speaker 1: that I tell you is faith based. You can double
- 2:51Speaker 1: check it. You can go behind me. Whatever your faith is,
- 2:54Speaker 1: if you go back into the writings and your faith,
- 2:56Speaker 1: it's in there. It's in there. Now, I'm not telling
- 3:00Speaker 1: and you anything new. I'm not giving you a new angle.
- 3:02Speaker 1: I may give you a different way of is saying
- 3:04Speaker 1: it or hearing it, you know, you know, maybe hearing
- 3:08Speaker 1: it back to yourself. But in essence, man, I really
- 3:11Speaker 1: do know that I'm not gonna say anything that you
- 3:15Speaker 1: may not have heard, but I phrase it in a
- 3:18Speaker 1: in a different kind of way. And so this series
- 3:20Speaker 1: this week, I want to talk to you about how
- 3:23Speaker 1: to make it kind of a motivational series. And uh,
- 3:26Speaker 1: the first part, the most important component of it in
- 3:30Speaker 1: accomplishing what you want in your life is you have
- 3:33Speaker 1: to identify the dream. This is the critical step. A
- 3:38Speaker 1: lot of people spend their life squandering and wandering around
- 3:42Speaker 1: because they never identify the dream. You have to identify
- 3:46Speaker 1: the dream. You have to identify what it is that
- 3:50Speaker 1: you want what it is that you hope for. You
- 3:53Speaker 1: have to have a goal in mind. You have to
- 3:56Speaker 1: have a destination, you know. And when you go outside
- 3:59Speaker 1: and put the key in your car, you never go
- 4:01Speaker 1: and put your key in the car and just get
- 4:03Speaker 1: it in and just drive, you know, unless you're trying
- 4:05Speaker 1: to clear your head or something. But if you're talking
- 4:07Speaker 1: about going somewhere, you got to have a destination. You
- 4:11Speaker 1: gotta have somewhere you want to go, or else you're
- 4:14Speaker 1: just running around. You're burning gas. Where you're going now?
- 4:17Speaker 1: I don't know? Left here, right here? Go here, go there?
- 4:20Speaker 1: You know, you must identify the dream. The dream is
- 4:24Speaker 1: the single most important part of the component to making
- 4:27Speaker 1: a success out yourself. God can't bless what you don't have.
- 4:31Speaker 1: You you can't get. You can't get what you never give.
- 4:34Speaker 1: You can't withdraw without a deposit. Identify the dream. What
- 4:38Speaker 1: is it that burns inside you, that had always, that
- 4:41Speaker 1: keeps you awake at night? What is it man that
- 4:44Speaker 1: makes you that makes you smile when you think about it?
- 4:48Speaker 1: What is it man that you can't seem to quite shape? Okay,
- 4:52Speaker 1: so you go to college, right, you make a decision
- 4:54Speaker 1: which I disagree with. You asking eighteen to twenty one
- 4:57Speaker 1: year old to make a decision of what he wants
- 4:59Speaker 1: to do and what wants to be with the rest
- 5:00Speaker 1: of his life. That's tough because guess what, this young
- 5:04Speaker 1: person doesn't really know himself or herself yet, so you're
- 5:07Speaker 1: asking them to identify what it is at an early age.
- 5:13Speaker 1: What consequentially happens is that people get older and they
- 5:16Speaker 1: wind up doing something else. So you get a degree
- 5:19Speaker 1: and you find out what your passion is with something else. See,
- 5:22Speaker 1: identifying that dream as early as you can is important. Now,
- 5:27Speaker 1: whether you're young or whether you're whatever, your whatever, your
- 5:29Speaker 1: identity of the dream is. That's first. Now. What you
- 5:34Speaker 1: have to do then is if I were you. Here
- 5:37Speaker 1: is the part that people never seem to wail together
- 5:41Speaker 1: with that dream that I want to be an astronaut,
- 5:43Speaker 1: I want to be a doctor. I want to be
- 5:45Speaker 1: a club owner. I want to be a UH the DJ.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I want to be a ball player. I want to
- 5:51Speaker 1: be a writer. I want to be a in nursing.
- 5:53Speaker 1: I want to be in the medical field. I want
- 5:55Speaker 1: to be on auto racer, whatever it is, it doesn't matter.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Some Body is that already, and somebody had it as
- 6:02Speaker 1: a dream, So it's no dream too big. Okay, Once
- 6:05Speaker 1: you identify the dream, here's here's a thing. The best
- 6:10Speaker 1: way for that to happen is that dream should be
- 6:14Speaker 1: tied directly to your God given gift or talent. See
- 6:19Speaker 1: that's the part that people miss. You see Halle Berry
- 6:23Speaker 1: on TV and you want to you want to have
- 6:25Speaker 1: on one of the dresses on the red carpet, and
- 6:27Speaker 1: you want to stand there and get the award and
- 6:28Speaker 1: you want to have the same people. Dude, do you
- 6:30Speaker 1: had to do? Your had to do? Halley? And who
- 6:32Speaker 1: do Beyonce? All that's good, All that's good man. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 6:35Speaker 1: yea yeah yah. But do you have the talent or
- 6:39Speaker 1: the gift to accomplish that? See, don't get outside your scope.
- 6:44Speaker 1: I wanted to play in the NBA when I was
- 6:46Speaker 1: eight years old, but something happened along the way. I
- 6:49Speaker 1: didn't have skill set. I discovered that when I ran
- 6:51Speaker 1: as fast as I could, the basketball was never with me.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And that's an important part of ball, you know. Yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I just I could jump, but I normally didn't have
- 7:02Speaker 1: a basketball. So now oh see, see see that that
- 7:07Speaker 1: passion and that dream of being in the NBA was
- 7:10Speaker 1: not tied to my gift. My gift was when I
- 7:13Speaker 1: was sitting there watching them play basketball. I was the
- 7:17Speaker 1: little dude leaning against the fish that had a comment
- 7:20Speaker 1: about everything everybody did. That was it. I was the
- 7:28Speaker 1: commentator to color commentator, and lord, I was funny. It
- 7:34Speaker 1: was one of the few times I didn't stutter. It's
- 7:37Speaker 1: when I was when I was leaning against the fish,
- 7:39Speaker 1: talking trash. But if you took me to school, you
- 7:41Speaker 1: took me to church, you took me in front of somebody,
- 7:43Speaker 1: you sent me to the store, man, that stuttering just
- 7:46Speaker 1: came over the top of me. I couldn't do it.
- 7:48Speaker 1: So remember me. The first time I told somebody my
- 7:51Speaker 1: dream is to be on TV, man, they laughed at
- 7:53Speaker 1: me so hard that they laughed me out the gym
- 7:57Speaker 1: be and at the school because I had a stuttering problem.
- 8:00Speaker 1: So that calls me never to tell it again. The
- 8:02Speaker 1: best way to accomplish your dream is you gotta tie
- 8:05Speaker 1: it to your gift, to your talent that God has
- 8:07Speaker 1: given you. You can't overlook that. See God never created
- 8:11Speaker 1: a person without giving them a talent or a gift.
- 8:13Speaker 1: You have something that you do, and the way to
- 8:16Speaker 1: identify that is very simple. It is the thing that
- 8:19Speaker 1: you do the absolute best with the least amount of effort.
- 8:21Speaker 1: What is that that you do that's better than you
- 8:24Speaker 1: do anything else with the least amount of effort. You
- 8:27Speaker 1: do this, it's almost You can draw without you can write,
- 8:30Speaker 1: you can sing, you can You know how to pull
- 8:33Speaker 1: stuff apart and put it back together. You know how
- 8:35Speaker 1: to connect the dots and cross tease, and you know
- 8:39Speaker 1: how to organize things and put people together. You know
- 8:43Speaker 1: how to network. You know how to shoot videos better
- 8:46Speaker 1: than anybody. You know how to calm people down when
- 8:48Speaker 1: they when it's a conflict at your school, is something
- 8:51Speaker 1: they come to you. All your friends come to you
- 8:53Speaker 1: and their problem. There's a gift and the talent. You
- 8:55Speaker 1: have to identify what that is. Now, if you take
- 8:58Speaker 1: that gift and talent that you are born with and
- 9:01Speaker 1: you marry it into your dream, you put those two
- 9:05Speaker 1: in the dream. That's the number one thing. And here's
- 9:08Speaker 1: a deal. You can never give up on the dream.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I don't care how old you are. There's a scripture
- 9:21Speaker 1: that says a man without a dream or vision shall perish.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Think about this. If you've given up on your dream,
- 9:28Speaker 1: don't it feel like you're going nowhere. You ever wake
- 9:31Speaker 1: up in the morning, just go, Man, this can't be
- 9:34Speaker 1: all to it. It's gotta be more to it than this.
- 9:37Speaker 1: That's that's that seed, that dream, that talent, that gift
- 9:41Speaker 1: that's in you that needs watering and nurturing and fertilizing
- 9:45Speaker 1: to come out and grow. But you gotta identify. Man,
- 9:48Speaker 1: Come on, and you can't give up on your dream
- 9:50Speaker 1: because now you got just the J O B that's
- 9:53Speaker 1: helping you pay these bills. And now you locked into
- 9:55Speaker 1: the system where paying the bills are so critical and
- 9:58Speaker 1: living expenses on top of you the you gotta keep
- 10:00Speaker 1: going to this job. So now you give up on
- 10:02Speaker 1: your dreams. That ain't how this thing work. Man. You
- 10:05Speaker 1: can't ever give up on the dream. It's gonna be
- 10:09Speaker 1: a sacrifice to do that. To follow your dream, you're
- 10:12Speaker 1: gonna have to let something go. That's the scary part. See,
- 10:17Speaker 1: that's the part of what people don't want them. People
- 10:19Speaker 1: don't want to let go of the peanut to get
- 10:22Speaker 1: the fruit. So you hang on to your peanut. Now,
- 10:26Speaker 1: the fruit out there, it's melons, grapes, bananas, pineapples, it's
- 10:30Speaker 1: out fruit is out there, But you're so busy hanging
- 10:33Speaker 1: on to this peanut, that job that has got you
- 10:36Speaker 1: locked in, and you can't go out there and enjoy
- 10:39Speaker 1: the fruits of your life. You have to make a decision.
- 10:42Speaker 1: But decision is based on your dream and your gift.
- 10:44Speaker 1: If you titles two together, why not take a shot
- 10:47Speaker 1: at it. I mean, what you're waiting on. Everything I
- 10:49Speaker 1: tell you is faith based, so remember that too. Now
- 10:52Speaker 1: you gotta take your faith alonge. But it starts with
- 10:54Speaker 1: the dream, will continue this tomorrow. Okay, you're listening, ladies
- 11:02Speaker 1: and gentlemen, man have your attention please. This is the
- 11:05Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Hi, and I'm Steve. Hi. Hi, guys,

- 11:31Speaker 1: the correct way, you know. Talking proper has been one
- 11:36Speaker 1: of my main goals and license working with the wonderfully
- 11:40Speaker 1: talented Miss Shirley Strawberry. She's been attacking me ferociously about
- 11:47Speaker 1: my language and dialects. So I've decided today to try
- 11:50Speaker 1: it as another guy is fun. It's not fun, right now?
- 11:56Speaker 1: Go ahead, please show fantastic. Well, you know, and that's
- 12:00Speaker 1: the goal of today. Today's show is dedicated to the Bulligee.
- 12:04Speaker 1: People speak properly all day long and find it highly
- 12:10Speaker 1: offensive for other people to exist in this world who
- 12:14Speaker 1: do not have the desire to speak probably nor do
- 12:18Speaker 1: they have the education. And when the combination is both
- 12:21Speaker 1: of those things, it can get pretty huggy. So I'm here.
- 12:26Speaker 1: What did you say? Yeah? It can absolutely wanted to
- 12:33Speaker 1: say something wonderful, joy, good morning to how are you
- 12:37Speaker 1: doing today? Hello? How are you? I see? The only
- 12:41Speaker 1: one that's happy is here? Is she? See? If the
- 12:45Speaker 1: nephew has something to say, nephew to say, hello, Lord
- 12:54Speaker 1: Lord Stephen, Hello there Thomas. So this show is dedicated
- 13:00Speaker 1: to all of you. Dry the Game of Thrones. It

- 14:22Speaker 1: it all. Now, get some water. Get some water. All
- 14:24Speaker 1: morning long. We're going to play Michael Jackson music. Today
- 14:28Speaker 1: is his birthday. Um, I think he would have been
- 14:30Speaker 1: fifty nine today. Coming up next, Junior's Truth be Told,
- 14:34Speaker 1: and then Steve. Yeah, Steve has a heads up for parents,

- 14:45Speaker 1: it's time for something funny. Let's go with Junior first
- 14:48Speaker 1: with his truth and told. Hey, can I tell you
- 14:51Speaker 1: Han Han in Vegas? Uh? The funnest they happened for
- 14:56Speaker 1: me this weekend. Okay, we had the crap table. M hm.
- 15:00Speaker 1: You know, Steve, be out there now. We had to
- 15:02Speaker 1: rule that table. People be out there. You know, Steve
- 15:05Speaker 1: out there, people just stand around and they're trying to
- 15:07Speaker 1: get to him. So, you know, I'm trying to keep
- 15:09Speaker 1: people off there, and said, well, Brian is security guard.
- 15:12Speaker 1: I talked to this one guy. He said, hey man,
- 15:14Speaker 1: I really talked to Steve. He's I really need to
- 15:17Speaker 1: talk to him. He says, okay, he said all right,
- 15:19Speaker 1: so he taps. He said, hey man, this guy says,
- 15:20Speaker 1: really wanted Well. The guy goes up, he talks to Steven.
- 15:23Speaker 1: He says, hey man, my mama has all time. Yeah, yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: I got to tell his third because this was the
- 15:33Speaker 1: greatest thing. This man comes up to Steve at through
- 15:37Speaker 1: that table. I'm still Steve's laughing. He's on Steve right.
- 15:39Speaker 1: He says, hey man, I love you man. Look my
- 15:43Speaker 1: mama loves you. My mama has all times she can't
- 15:49Speaker 1: remember me, but she remember you. I'm sorry, Chip. He
- 16:03Speaker 1: so hard at rule that will that I'm embarrassed because
- 16:07Speaker 1: I'm trying to hold the man because because he didn't
- 16:08Speaker 1: got emotional. Yeah, but let me tell you something. Just
- 16:11Speaker 1: a Jersey dude, real hard man, you know. I mean,
- 16:15Speaker 1: that's a hard man's man. But he didn't tear it.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I'm talking about his mama. Don't know it? Oh my god,
- 16:21Speaker 1: hold on, but she know she no Steve, he's he
- 16:25Speaker 1: know to talk every time you come on TV. I'm
- 16:28Speaker 1: sitting there. She can't recognize me, but she looking at
- 16:31Speaker 1: the TV and she no, you. Hey, man, I appreciate
- 16:35Speaker 1: this man. Take the picture with me, and they're gonna
- 16:37Speaker 1: take the picture now. Truth and told. If that's my mama,
- 16:39Speaker 1: your asses out of help. I know that much right now.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Don't be told your asks not hell. I'm not gonna
- 16:46Speaker 1: sit up here and keep bathing you. And you don't

- 16:54Speaker 1: Steve boy, say, I'll tell you what you do? Why
- 17:04Speaker 1: do you take it behind that there? Five Steve? Every time,
- 17:09Speaker 1: every time you walk off into the wood, who got
- 17:11Speaker 1: to come get you? It ain't Steve. They didn't pass
- 17:16Speaker 1: ten times. You can't even remember who did. But you
- 17:19Speaker 1: remember who Stevie. Man, I'm trying to tell you I was.
- 17:23Speaker 1: I was like here a good son, they done good son?
- 17:26Speaker 1: Here good son, because I'd have been quit all the

- 17:38Speaker 1: then stay you see Steve. You know Stevie, that's no man,

- 18:55Speaker 1: the sad thing the only hit once. But that's a
- 18:58Speaker 1: good hit. At least a couple hundred dollars you had

- 19:07Speaker 1: I lost my litp. Really, I've never heard you say that. Yeah,
- 19:12Speaker 1: I know I don't really lose, but I lost this time.

- 19:52Speaker 1: wasn't a strip club guy. I never really cared for.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Strip club wasn't really mine. I don't like him. I
- 19:56Speaker 1: don't you know you you don't really feel me. But
- 20:00Speaker 1: if you do, then you go over there and you're
- 20:01Speaker 1: feeling somebody else. I don't like that. Put some money
- 20:06Speaker 1: in your pocket. Why did you hit my partner? Lab?
- 20:08Speaker 1: I just get your drinks? Yeah, come back? What is
- 20:12Speaker 1: all this going on right there? Yeah? You know what?

- 26:54Speaker 1: Like I said, you might be the reason why it
- 26:57Speaker 1: came back by. You might be the reason I need
- 27:00Speaker 1: to speak with Mr. That's my formation outfit. Now I
- 27:05Speaker 1: have cleaned at all time. You shouldn't be calling me.
- 27:09Speaker 1: I should be calling you because I'm gonna evidently I'm

- 29:32Speaker 1: interwoving in between all these people and you cannot beat that?
- 29:36Speaker 1: What's wrong with that? What's wrong with stupid? In the
- 29:40Speaker 1: middle of songs? What's wrong with that? Who don't won't
- 29:43Speaker 1: STUPI in the middle of music? I love it? In
- 29:50Speaker 1: the middle of music. I would have on my wife.
- 29:55Speaker 1: I'll be never mind, I'll be dressed. Kempton when white
- 30:05Speaker 1: at the concert. Boy, you couldn't get with Vegas with

- 30:47Speaker 1: miss Anazon Deck with today's headlines. We are playing our

- 30:57Speaker 1: because make sure you're here because coming up a twenty

- 31:04Speaker 1: when Steve remember you were talking about Michael Jackson has
- 31:09Speaker 1: a different kind of money and all of that too funny.
- 31:12Speaker 1: Also in the news, President Trump Donald Trump will be
- 31:16Speaker 1: in Houston. Tommy he's coming today this very day, Tuesday,
- 31:22Speaker 1: to survey the damage caused by Hurricane Harvey, which has
- 31:25Speaker 1: brought Okay, we know this historic rainfall departs of Texas,
- 31:29Speaker 1: causing flooding and several reported deaths. So unfortunate there. Earlier, well,
- 31:36Speaker 1: earlier on Sunday, he hinted that he would visit the
- 31:39Speaker 1: area when he felt that a presidential visit would not
- 31:41Speaker 1: complicate the recovery after we find we find, Yeah, let
- 31:46Speaker 1: him come. Just just don't say nothing when you get
- 31:48Speaker 1: the third ward. Just make sure you got your mind
- 31:50Speaker 1: together when you go into third war. And again if
- 31:54Speaker 1: you do, these are places you got no votes. So
- 32:02Speaker 1: if you want to help people that were affected by
- 32:04Speaker 1: Hurricane Harvey, and are affected by Hurricane Harvey, you can
- 32:08Speaker 1: visit red Cross dot org. That's red Cross dot org.
- 32:12Speaker 1: You can call one eight hundred red Cross one eight
- 32:15Speaker 1: hundred red Cross, or you can text the word Harvey
- 32:18Speaker 1: to nine zero. That's nine zero, Text the word Harvey
- 32:24Speaker 1: to make a ten dollar donation. Okay, all right, Um,
- 32:28Speaker 1: so tell me you're you're faring better today. Yeah, a
- 32:32Speaker 1: lot better, a lot. Bet. We're holding strong. We're gonna
- 32:35Speaker 1: be all right. We're gonna make it through it. Everybody's good, man.
- 32:39Speaker 1: But this this is, this is a this is this
- 32:43Speaker 1: was a serious hurricane. This was the truth. And you
- 32:45Speaker 1: said you've been here's the deal. Houston did not get
- 32:48Speaker 1: hit with the eye of the actual her hurricane. Yeah,
- 32:52Speaker 1: this was this is the side. And this is is
- 32:57Speaker 1: pushing so much water out. Man. I've never seen a
- 32:59Speaker 1: hurricane come and go and a week later it's still
- 33:02Speaker 1: rape you still flood. That's that's the drama. The water
- 33:05Speaker 1: won't stop right. And and Carla, of course is out today.
- 33:09Speaker 1: She's from Houston and down there as well. She is
- 33:11Speaker 1: property Junior. How's your family. Everybody's great, you know, you know,
- 33:15Speaker 1: it's considering the circumstances. You know, they're they're fine. I
- 33:18Speaker 1: talked to Grant and Granny is good. She has a
- 33:20Speaker 1: great attitude about it. She's hind dry, cooking, you know.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Um my mom they went to the other home up
- 33:27Speaker 1: in East Texas, so they're fine. Um you got another home.
- 33:30Speaker 1: My mom has another good over him. You know. All
- 33:38Speaker 1: these boys come up jail, but they're fine. Everybody's good.
- 33:44Speaker 1: That's good. Do you know what you realized? Material on me? Nothing? Man?
- 33:51Speaker 1: It really does boy, it don't mean nothing. The most
- 33:56Speaker 1: important thing get him out, get them safe, and that's good.
- 34:00Speaker 1: We could we building another house, buy another car? Did
- 34:03Speaker 1: you did you? Did you m hit? You know who? Good?
- 34:13Speaker 1: She's all right right now. Yeah, Well, it's interesting philosophy
- 34:18Speaker 1: Tommy has about getting this family out safe. Just the
- 34:22Speaker 1: same dude, if he hit the damn lad Oh my god,
- 34:30Speaker 1: I got him to the end after that. You on
- 34:34Speaker 1: your own, all right? Uh, Steve, Please, as we switch gears,
- 34:39Speaker 1: please bring in miss In for our national headline. Ladies
- 34:42Speaker 1: and gentlemen, miss Trip, thank you, thank you. This is
- 34:47Speaker 1: and treed with the news, everybody, and let's get to it.
- 34:49Speaker 1: At least ten people are now reported dead as rescue
- 34:52Speaker 1: teams in southeast Texas way through waste deep water trying
- 34:56Speaker 1: to bring stranded residents to safety. More than twelve thousand
- 34:59Speaker 1: National Guard troops have been activated to help out. FEMA
- 35:02Speaker 1: Director Brock Long says the focus is on those most
- 35:04Speaker 1: in need of help. Help in Texas overcome this disaster
- 35:07Speaker 1: is going to be far greater than FEMA coordinating the
- 35:10Speaker 1: mission of the entire federal government. We need citizens to
- 35:13Speaker 1: be involved. This is a landmark event. You couldn't draw
- 35:16Speaker 1: this situation up. Long says that fifty Texas counties are
- 35:19Speaker 1: under water thanks to Hurricane tour in Tropical Storm Harvey,
- 35:23Speaker 1: and that some one roads are impassable. And that's on
- 35:26Speaker 1: top of the fact that parts of Louisiana are now
- 35:28Speaker 1: flooded out. To we have several parishes, about eight or
- 35:31Speaker 1: nine parishes in Louisiana that are flooded out. President Trump
- 35:34Speaker 1: is doing Texas later on today. You're gonna see very
- 35:37Speaker 1: rapid action from Congress. We expect to have requests on
- 35:41Speaker 1: our desk fairly soon, and we think that Congress will
- 35:44Speaker 1: feel very much the way I feel, very in the
- 35:47Speaker 1: very bipartisan way. But it's a long road, still pouring,
- 35:51Speaker 1: still a lot of right. Nobody's ever seen anything like it.
- 35:54Speaker 1: They've I've heard the words epic. I've heard historic. That's
- 35:58Speaker 1: what it is. The presidents pervade the damage in Corpus Christie. Meanwhile,
- 36:02Speaker 1: Harvey's in the Gulf and actually expected to make landfall
- 36:05Speaker 1: again and bring more rain. By the way, according to
- 36:09Speaker 1: a published report, just ten days for Hurricane Harvey slammerge
- 36:11Speaker 1: to southern Texas, President Trump, in his eagerness to get
- 36:14Speaker 1: rid of another Obama era rule signed an executive order
- 36:17Speaker 1: that dumped a regulation that would have required the federal
- 36:20Speaker 1: government to take into account the risk of flooding and
- 36:23Speaker 1: the rise in the sea level when rebuilding after disaster.
- 36:26Speaker 1: So that's out of there. That's according to Business Insider.
- 36:29Speaker 1: Trump meanwhile facing several lawsuits over his band against transgender
- 36:33Speaker 1: individuals enlisting in the armed forces. The American Civil Liberies
- 36:36Speaker 1: Union has become the latest group to file a federal suit,
- 36:39Speaker 1: this one in Maryland on behalf of six active duty
- 36:41Speaker 1: service members. The a c l U says the president's
- 36:44Speaker 1: order is based on uninformed speculation and a whole lot
- 36:46Speaker 1: of stereotypes. The statue of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr.
- 36:50Speaker 1: Was unveiled yesterday in his hometown in Atlanta. It was
- 36:53Speaker 1: erected on the Capitol grounds with his remaining daughter, the
- 36:56Speaker 1: Reverend Bernie King, on hand, along with other members of
- 36:58Speaker 1: Atlanta's religious civil rights community. And finally, today is Chop
- 37:04Speaker 1: Suey Day, Sweet Chop Sweet. Living here is very much
- 37:12Speaker 1: like Chop sweet Jet sweet. It's also a wake up day.
- 37:21Speaker 1: It's also find a pencil day, hug a friend day,
- 37:24Speaker 1: and make friends with somebody you didn't like day all
- 37:26Speaker 1: that today on top of Chop Suey Day. Okay, right now,
- 37:30Speaker 1: we'll be back with Eugene the Butterfly at twenty minutes
- 37:33Speaker 1: after the hour. So stay tuned to the Steve Harvey
- 37:35Speaker 1: Morning Show. You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Today would have been Michael Jackson's fifty ninth birthday, and
- 37:42Speaker 1: Steve remember your hilarious stand up still tripping comedy routine.
- 37:48Speaker 1: You don't remember, well, we remember if you were talking
- 37:51Speaker 1: about Michael Jackman having that different kind of money, that
- 37:55Speaker 1: other kind of money. So I guess I wasn't My
- 37:58Speaker 1: segment was I'm overruled today. I thought that you would
- 38:03Speaker 1: be helping out in Houston. Yeah, which was a great thing,

- 38:10Speaker 1: couldn't have that my part of the show. Well, I
- 38:13Speaker 1: mean you're here now, Butterfly, if you if you want
- 38:16Speaker 1: to but Jane about that, don't do that. I don't
- 38:25Speaker 1: read me out late. I thought you were getting your
- 38:27Speaker 1: apartment together after the big party. Now, now stop all
- 38:33Speaker 1: of you all. First of all, let's understand it. This
- 38:36Speaker 1: is my part of the show. This is my segment.
- 38:38Speaker 1: I only have one segment. What actually we've moved What
- 38:43Speaker 1: do you mean you moved on? This is my segment.
- 38:49Speaker 1: This is why I do my part of the show
- 38:52Speaker 1: for your segment. You didn't make it. Who is here now, Steve?
- 38:58Speaker 1: What are you saying like? I'm not on the out
- 39:00Speaker 1: in that mind? You know? What are you? Wait a minute?
- 39:03Speaker 1: What's it? Are you going to get rid of this segment?
- 39:05Speaker 1: You getting rid of Eugene? I love to don't now
- 39:09Speaker 1: where are you trying to get Wait a minute, what's
- 39:11Speaker 1: going on on the What are you trying to get
- 39:17Speaker 1: rid of my body of the show? I think really
- 39:21Speaker 1: we should add a different feature. You mean from the Butterfly,
- 39:24Speaker 1: like the Butterfly's he's gonna cry? What do you mean
- 39:29Speaker 1: your wait? Stop every about it? Stop? What's going on?
- 39:35Speaker 1: We don't know. I don't know what this sound like.
- 39:38Speaker 1: I'm being fired. What it's going when? Ante y'all just
- 39:51Speaker 1: gonna stide writing joke from his stand up every during
- 39:55Speaker 1: my body of the show. Just ye do this now?
- 40:05Speaker 1: It's very embarrassing. Okay, no, no butterfly, hot on Butterfly,

- 43:59Speaker 1: for this one, Donald Trump, we'll cut up. Man. He's
- 44:11Speaker 1: acting the food, letting the new job go straight to
- 44:14Speaker 1: his head. I got I got a partner mine in

- 45:10Speaker 1: hold on, I know you ain't put a sign in
- 45:14Speaker 1: front of your parking space at the job. That's a
- 45:18Speaker 1: Larry Jenkins lead bathroom attend. I know you ain't done this.
- 45:24Speaker 1: You ain't done this, Larry, you lead bathroom attended. That
- 45:31Speaker 1: what happened? Man? It goes to their hands. You got
- 45:34Speaker 1: a new position, but you're still getting a ride to
- 45:36Speaker 1: work with me. You don't even work well. I think
- 45:42Speaker 1: I think you lend your job to let the job decide.
- 45:51Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show, all right,
- 45:55Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, right about
- 45:57Speaker 1: four minutes after today's Strawberry letter. But first the nephew
- 46:01Speaker 1: with a sprank phone call. What you got next? Musty sign?
- 46:07Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, your son Musty? Your son is Musty. You're
- 46:13Speaker 1: gonna fix that. But well it's a musty key man,
- 46:19Speaker 1: it's a fine six scemuo. Who they hung Musty? Here
- 46:25Speaker 1: we go. Hello, Hello, I'm trying to reach the Vanessa place.
- 46:33Speaker 1: Van's My name is Robert. I'm the one of the owners.
- 46:38Speaker 1: You know, my wife Michelle. We owned the yap You okay,
- 46:43Speaker 1: we've been uh, I think we've had your son, Malik
- 46:46Speaker 1: probably close to a year now. I'm all right, I
- 46:48Speaker 1: guess you have is everything okay? So everything is fine,
- 46:51Speaker 1: Everything is fine. I don't think we have a problem
- 46:53Speaker 1: that we can't clear up. Um, I have a question
- 46:58Speaker 1: for you. Have you been noticing anything different about Malik? Um,
- 47:03Speaker 1: like concerning hygiene at all? Hygiene? No, not that I
- 47:07Speaker 1: can be called. What are you talking about? Okay? How
- 47:10Speaker 1: old is Malik? He's too? Okay, Well, we soon have
- 47:14Speaker 1: come across a little glitch here that we're going to
- 47:17Speaker 1: try to take care of here at the at the daycare.
- 47:20Speaker 1: Actually my wife didn't. I told her I would make
- 47:22Speaker 1: the phone call and leave her out of it. I
- 47:24Speaker 1: know you see her every day once. What are you
- 47:27Speaker 1: talking about? What? What is this glitch? Glitch? What is
- 47:30Speaker 1: this glitch that you want to talk about? I'm confused. Okay, Well,
- 47:34Speaker 1: actually what we're having is it seems like every day
- 47:37Speaker 1: here lately for the last two months, Malik has been
- 47:41Speaker 1: you know, very musty. You know, he hasn't been really sweaty,
- 47:45Speaker 1: but just real musty. Okay, you clearly have the wrong child,
- 47:49Speaker 1: because I give my son a bath every night, and
- 47:51Speaker 1: most Martin is before he bats to school. I give
- 47:53Speaker 1: another bath again. So yeah, I'm pretty positive you have
- 47:56Speaker 1: the wrong child. No, ma'am. Your son is Malik, right,
- 47:59Speaker 1: and he's he's two years old. You guys have been
- 48:01Speaker 1: here with us right close to a year now, correct, Yes, Okay,
- 48:06Speaker 1: and he's cute, a little kid with the curly hair.
- 48:08Speaker 1: I know exactly which one is. So what I'm what
- 48:11Speaker 1: I'm saying to you is that we are having problems.
- 48:14Speaker 1: He's just he's just reaching. You know, he's real musty. Okay,
- 48:18Speaker 1: you know what my son does not reek. I don't
- 48:20Speaker 1: know what child you're talking about, but you're not talking
- 48:21Speaker 1: about my child. I just told you and make sure
- 48:24Speaker 1: that he gets a bath every night, So that's not
- 48:26Speaker 1: my child. My child is very clean. Okay, Well what
- 48:29Speaker 1: hang on, Vanessa. What I'm trying to get you to
- 48:30Speaker 1: understand is I'm trying to This is why my wife
- 48:33Speaker 1: didn't want to call. Okay, and I'm glad I'm actually
- 48:35Speaker 1: the one that made the call. What we need to do,
- 48:37Speaker 1: This is what I'm gonna do. I'm just gotta chrl
- 48:39Speaker 1: a little experiment for the next month or so. I'm sorry, Well,
- 48:44Speaker 1: what do you mean experiment? What kind of experiment? Well,
- 48:46Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna put some mantle
- 48:48Speaker 1: deodorant on him for the next well just for the
- 48:52Speaker 1: next month, and we'll see how it plays out. No, No,
- 48:54Speaker 1: you're not. You're not gonna put anything on my child.
- 48:56Speaker 1: That's not gonna happen. Okay, Well, ma'am, I'm trying to
- 48:58Speaker 1: I'm trying to fix the problem here. I just wanted
- 49:00Speaker 1: to call it doesn't have a problem. Already told you
- 49:03Speaker 1: that my son is clean. You're not gonna put any
- 49:05Speaker 1: coment on him, and if you do, it's going to
- 49:07Speaker 1: be a problem. Do you understand me? Okay, man, I'm
- 49:10Speaker 1: not trying to have an argument with you. What I
- 49:12Speaker 1: want you to know is I'm not trying to have
- 49:13Speaker 1: argument either, but you're trying to. You talked about putting
- 49:15Speaker 1: the order. I'll might tell you you can't do that.
- 49:18Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have to happen in Please don't make
- 49:20Speaker 1: me have to come that to that school for you
- 49:22Speaker 1: and your wife. Okay. Now, listen, we're gonna have to
- 49:25Speaker 1: do something about your child. Your child is musty okay,
- 49:28Speaker 1: And you're sitting here getting an attitude with me, and
- 49:30Speaker 1: I'm trying to let you know your child is nonsense.
- 49:33Speaker 1: Maybe you're the one that is musty. Maybe you and
- 49:35Speaker 1: your wife are musty. My child is not musty. I
- 49:37Speaker 1: keep telling you that I based him every night. Which
- 49:40Speaker 1: part of that you don't you understand? I understand everything
- 49:42Speaker 1: that you're saying. Maybe it's the soap. Maybe something is
- 49:45Speaker 1: not taking effect. I'm not sure. Okay, maybe you doesn't
- 49:48Speaker 1: smell because I don't know what d you're not smelling? Guy,
- 49:53Speaker 1: you're not using that you my child? Do I need
- 49:55Speaker 1: to come down there for you with the cop and
- 49:57Speaker 1: suit your entire establishment. You don't want that to happen
- 50:00Speaker 1: staying away from my child? Are you crazy? You know? Man?
- 50:03Speaker 1: Gres my son, ma'am your sonisfied? Your son is in
- 50:05Speaker 1: there with the rest of the kids. They're playing. You know,
- 50:07Speaker 1: today is the first day I sprayed a little bit
- 50:09Speaker 1: of melt the odor and how that works? You crazy? Look, Cheryl,
- 50:15Speaker 1: can you come for me for a couple of minutes.
- 50:16Speaker 1: I'm i'm na right now. I'll be there within the hour.
- 50:19Speaker 1: Because you must be crazy. I mean, you sprayed my
- 50:22Speaker 1: son spam. I just sprayed a little bit of the
- 50:24Speaker 1: older and on it, just to see if we can
- 50:26Speaker 1: get the condition to do that. And I keep telling you.
- 50:29Speaker 1: I said, there's nothing wrong with my child, and you
- 50:31Speaker 1: took us on here chalk to go and spray my child,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and you weren't subbout to do that. You think I'm
- 50:35Speaker 1: gonna right now? Okay? Well? What are you coming here for?
- 50:39Speaker 1: The boys? You're the son of the leak? Is fine?
- 50:41Speaker 1: Why are you coming here? He's curling that fine? If
- 50:44Speaker 1: you're going around spread, how don't you space because clearly
- 50:48Speaker 1: you're smelling and freaking and funky as hell. I didn't
- 50:51Speaker 1: give you no child that I promise you. I promise you.
- 50:56Speaker 1: I'm a y'all because you were crazy. Okay, let me
- 51:00Speaker 1: say this, man. Your son is musty. He's been reaching
- 51:03Speaker 1: for there must be you know what. I didn't even
- 51:08Speaker 1: try to hear you because you're clearly crazy. How are
- 51:11Speaker 1: you going to playing people's kids? What's my job? Did
- 51:14Speaker 1: you smell the other kids? You know what? I'm about
- 51:17Speaker 1: to get in my car come down there for you
- 51:19Speaker 1: because you must be crazy? Hello? Hello, Hello? Why did

- 51:28Speaker 1: When I told you that I'm coming down there, I'll
- 51:32Speaker 1: be there in tim one. But I needed to let
- 51:35Speaker 1: you know one more thing that's going on here? Could
- 51:37Speaker 1: you possibly let me know? Because I'm on my waist
- 51:41Speaker 1: right now. Where are you? Now? Are you in your car?
- 51:43Speaker 1: Where are you? I am heading to my car, not
- 51:45Speaker 1: to get in my car to come down differently because
- 51:47Speaker 1: you must be crazy spraying my child before you get
- 51:50Speaker 1: to your car. I need, I need to tell you
- 51:52Speaker 1: one more thing about your side. Okay, please, you possibly
- 51:55Speaker 1: have to tell me. I want to tell you. This
- 51:58Speaker 1: is listen to me. This is that you tell me
- 52:01Speaker 1: to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your girlfriend Cheryl got me
- 52:04Speaker 1: to play phone call you. I'm standing here in the
- 52:15Speaker 1: parking lot about been turning down. Never know exactly what
- 52:20Speaker 1: I was about. I'm gonna get up. I get because
- 52:22Speaker 1: I'm thinking, I know my child musty. I know my
- 52:25Speaker 1: child is clean and he doesn't smell. Imna get up.
- 52:30Speaker 1: I just talked to right here in a CIB because
- 52:34Speaker 1: you gotta call her right now. I said, okay, just
- 52:37Speaker 1: chill out that we'll call her. You don't know, is
- 52:44Speaker 1: Malik nice and clean? Malik is always nice and clean
- 52:49Speaker 1: and smelling right, So I don't know what the hell
- 52:51Speaker 1: you were talking about. I was like, not my child
- 52:52Speaker 1: you got the wrong child. You are about to get it.
- 52:54Speaker 1: You don't even know. Oh, manson, you gotta tell me
- 52:59Speaker 1: one more, ain't. But what's the baddest and I mean
- 53:01Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the Lake, the one and
- 53:07Speaker 1: only Steve. Sometimes you gotta put some deodor on these.
- 53:17Speaker 1: There's some babies out there grown up. When you're six
- 53:23Speaker 1: and you smell like you're six, it's something wrong we're born.
- 53:26Speaker 1: You know the reason we called him one. You know
- 53:29Speaker 1: he had a gland, probably smell real bad all time.
- 53:32Speaker 1: M man, his baby. I met his baby four years ago.
- 53:36Speaker 1: By that little baby staking just like baby coming in
- 53:40Speaker 1: staking And I know you say nothing about nobody kids,
- 53:43Speaker 1: but lord him, man, come on, I met a baby
- 53:49Speaker 1: one time. I meant like a you know, like a
- 53:50Speaker 1: shade tree mechanic, you know, like you know what I
- 53:54Speaker 1: called like a corporator. Right, is that they're working on
- 54:00Speaker 1: a little boy. That's crazy baby deod, but that at
- 54:08Speaker 1: product to make them. They do have it. I think
- 54:12Speaker 1: they do. I'm almost sure they natural baby did. Yes,
- 54:19Speaker 1: old people just throw cooler start on you. They showing
- 54:21Speaker 1: you hack it right on the divers corn star babies.
- 54:25Speaker 1: Does it work? Hell yeah, the corn starts fell. In
- 54:30Speaker 1: any case, you shouldn't need to be using deodor and
- 54:33Speaker 1: on your baby. What is your baby doing that require
- 54:37Speaker 1: you really should? What is this a little game? A
- 54:39Speaker 1: little stronger? There's some parents don't know nobody because there's
- 54:45Speaker 1: some funky babies that it's called bomb baby. They need
- 54:49Speaker 1: to get it. If you're listening and you know your baby,

- 1:00:04Speaker 1: help with a little while ago I met would you
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: listen to the letter please? A little while ago, I
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: met a wonderful woman. When I say wonderful, this woman
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: is great. She's very beautiful, has a great conversation, and
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: we are very in tune with each other. She has
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: the whole package. We have been dating for six months
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: now and I love her very much, and I trust
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: when she tells me she loves me too. The problem
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: is someone from her past has come back into her life,
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: which has opened my eyes to a lot of things
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: I didn't know about her. One of the most shocking
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: things I found out about her is that she is bisexual.
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: And this person that has come back around is her
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: ex girlfriend. Yeah, we have your attention. Now, we have
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: your attention. When I found this out, I asked her
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: about her past. Seems like they had a very serious
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: relationship and they went through a lot together. They were
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: living together for about a year and a half and
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: we're planning on having kids and making a family together.
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: She expressed to me that what they had is long gone.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: And she is focused on me, so I let it go.
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: Time passed by and things started changing between me and
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: my girl, Between my girlfriend and I. She started coming
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: home later than usual. She did a lot of daydreaming
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: while being affectionate. It was like she was with me,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: but her mind was somewhere else. Huh. Just the other day,
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: I came home early from work and the ex girlfriend
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: was in my house with my girlfriend. When I asked
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: her about that, she told me they weren't doing anything.
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: They were just hanging out. I'm not comfortable with their friendship.
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: I mean, I trust my woman and everything, but it's that.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: But it's just that doesn't seem right with this. Okay,
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: what do you all think? And what do you think
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: I should do? Dear, what do you think I should do?
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: Tell me be quiet? Uh? Yeah, you got a problem.
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: You do have a problem because something is going on
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: between your girl and her ex. All the suns are there,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: things are changing between the two of you. She's coming
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: home later than usual, the girl is up in your
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: house with your girl. Uh. You sound like a really
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: nice guy, but please don't be stupid in this sense. Uh,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: in this instant, you know, what should you do? You
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: should open your eyes and see what's going on in
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: front of your face. The ex is trying to get
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: back in. If it was a man, let me ask
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: you this. If it was a man, you wouldn't stand
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: for this. Would you? Hm, talk to your girl before
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: she gets away? If it's not too late, and it
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: might be too late. Twelve minutes after the hour, we
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: will be back here. Well, what you got crow cracker? Okay,
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Harvey morning? All right? Coming up next?
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: Here we go. We're coming up right now, not next
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: is right now? Stephen Part two of his response to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: the Strawberry letter, H what should I do? That situation
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: going on in my with my relationship that I need
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: some help with a little while ago, I met a
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: wonderful woman. When I say wonderful, this woman is great.
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: She's very beautiful, has great conversation. We're very in tune
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: with each other. She has the whole package. We have
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: been dating for six months now, and I love her
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: very much, and I trust when she tells me she
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: loves me too. The problem me is someone from her
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: past has come back into her life, which has hoping
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: my eyes to a lot of things. I didn't know
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: about her. One of the most shocking things I found
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: out about her is that she is bisexual. And this
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: person that has come back around is her ex girlfriend.
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: When I found this out, I asked her about her past.
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: Seems that they had a very serious relationship and they
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: went through a lot together. They were living together for
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: about a year and a half and we're planning on
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: having kids and making a family together. She expressed to
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: me that they had that what they had is long gone,
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: and she focused on me, so I let it go.
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: Time passed, buying, things started changing between my girlfriend and I.
- 1:04:11Speaker 1: She started coming home later than usual. She did a
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: lot of daydreaming while being affectionate with me. It was
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: like she was with me, but her mind was somewhere else.
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: Just the other day, I came home early from work
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: and the ex girlfriend was in my house with my girlfriend.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: When I asked her about that, she told me that
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: they were weren't doing anything, that they were just hanging out.
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: I'm not comfortable with their friendship. I mean, I trust
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: my woman and everything, but it's but it just doesn't
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: seem right with this. What do you all think and
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: what do you think I should do? Well? Brother. Obviously
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: you young. I'm gonna just go with that. You got
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: to be young, because they ain't. No full grown man
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: wrote no letter like this right here. So I'm assuming
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: you're young. Oh, I'm assuming that you this woman is
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: so fine that you now are blind. Shelly said it best.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: If this was a man, how would you be handling this? Then,
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: I say, handled the exact same way. See if I
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: come home and my girlfriend's ex is in the house
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: and it's a dude up at my crib dog, then
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: it's only cracking at the crib for everybody at the crib?
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: Can you say, sho night? I can't what somebody? I
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: ain't I ain't calling who somebody? Just somebody though Finn
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: to get knocked out. Now, I don't know who it is.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I don't I don't know how I'm gonna handle I
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: can't say. But let's go over a couple of things.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: You've been dating six months, and you love this woman
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: very much, and you trust that when she tells you
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: that she loves you too, Well, somebody from her past
- 1:06:03Speaker 1: and came up. Well, now you have to find out
- 1:06:06Speaker 1: that your woman is bisexual, and the person that they
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: came up is her ex girlfriend. Now she back in
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: her life. Now she'd told you anyone to let it
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: get ignorant me that you all had that they had
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: a very serious relationship and they went through a lot together.
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: They were living together for about a year and a half.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: And we're planning on having kids and making a family together.
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Hold on, stop, did you miss when they were having
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: health class? Where was you doing health class? When they
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: was explaining to you how to man meet the woman
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: and how to have a baby. I don't care what
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: they were sitting up talking about. They ain't fitting on.
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: They ain't planning on having no kids and making a
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: family together. Two women can't have no kids. Two women
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: can't make no fans. I'm talking about biologic. So what
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: what day you what they told you will? They was
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: going to adopt some kids and then they was gonna
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: try to run it by the kids. Why the baby
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: got to moms? Wow, but one of them gonna be
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: to dad. I don't know how that work. I ain't
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: really show one of them usually be a little bit more.
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: It happens, you know that. So what they was gonna
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: do with some adopt some kids and they were gonna
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: act like a family. You can't have no kids and
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: make no family biologically you can't. But now, really, partner,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: your problem ain't her past. Your problem is her right
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: now now. You say, while y'all being affectionate together, she'd
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: be dandream even a lot. What what? What do you
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: think she'd be thinking about? What was home girl doing
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: that caused us her mind to drift? Why are you
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: doing what you doing? Well? I don't know what that
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: could be, because I've always thought that there were some
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: things that I could do that somebody else that wasn't
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: a man couldn't do. But obviously day've done something that's
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: making her d day dream about this other girls, what
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: you're gonna have to do is, first of all, let
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: me look. Let me just say this. Initially, when me
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: and Tommy read a letter like this, we, like most men,
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: we go all right now, jack Pot, all right? But
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: you in love with this woman? And it ain't Jack
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Pott because there same going to be no threes. I
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: ain't being on that now. I don't really know how
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: that works, seems the confusing lot going on, it's a
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: lot going on with him. So maybe you can help
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: me out, because I know you had a little while
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: of life being your uncle. A lot going on. I
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: ain't really quite show well, I don't know how to
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: split the time. I don't know who turned the kiss. Right,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: all right, Steve, we gotta go email or Instagram. That's
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: your thoughts on today, Strawberry Letter and my girls, Shirley,
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: don't forget this Thursday. Stick around for Facebook Live the
- 1:09:27Speaker 1: After Show with the Strawberry Letter. I'll be there at
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: one thirty pm Eastern Time this coming Thursday. We'll talk
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: about the letter. Well, come on, come on, come on,
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: you're not gonna put us out. No, no, get out
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: of here with but no, not whatever you want to say.
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: Thank you Steve, and coming up in just a few minutes. Well,
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: if you missed it yesterday, our interview with Steve and
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: pccary sellers from CNN. Yeah, a very good interview. But ja,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: Anthony Brown, this one is for you. Amazon dot Com
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: says they'll reduce prices on some popular goods as it
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: competes completes. I should say it's acquisition of Whole Foods.
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: How about some ten dollar sup from Whole food and
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: another three for the spoon. I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: But anyway, but Carrie Sellers is gonna come for one
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: on one conversation with the one and only Steve Harvey.
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: We'll be back. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:10:40Speaker 1: All right, Uh, welcome back, everybody. I told you we're
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: gonna have a special guest. He's here. Uh. He is
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: a noted politician. He's an attorney in South Carolina. He
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: is currently one of my favorite political correspondents for CNN.
- 1:10:54Speaker 1: I invited him on the show to day so we
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: could discuss some of the comments that he made last
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: week on CNN which involved me. Uh, this is gonna
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: be good. He's a good brother, he really is, and
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: I'm very very happy with the work that he does.
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: And I'm a fan of his also. So he's on
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: the show. Please welcome to the show, everybody. Mr Bacard
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: Selling Welcome, Welcome, welcome, Thank you so much, thank you
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: for having me. It's a it's a it's an honor
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: and the privilege and a pleasure to be on. Thank
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you good. First of all, Man, I want to say
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: welcome to the show, and I want to say this
- 1:11:27Speaker 1: to you in front of everybody. Uh. I'm a fan
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: of yours. Yeah, man, And we have a decent relationship
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: between one another. I don't want anybody to think that
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: we are two brothers that don't have the wherewithal in
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: the common sense to sit down and discuss. Even brothers
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: brothers can disagree, and so you know, I just wanted
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: to get some stuff out to light and just talk
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: openly about how we feel about certain things because I've
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: always respected his opinion on CNN, and so he's here today,
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: and I just want to say welcome to you, thank you,
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: and if I if I may just briefly, I want
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: to say that, UM, I have that same utmost respect
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: for you and all the work that you've done, UM,
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: And I can honestly say it's someone who is traveling
- 1:12:14Speaker 1: that same road, UM, that road of justice and searching
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: for justice and truth and all of that, UM, that
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I look up to you. And so it's an honor
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: and a privilege to be on with you, UM, and
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: a pleasure as well. Yeah. So, so so let's just
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: start at the beginning. Because I was just sitting at
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: my house and my kids called and said, Dad, Dad,
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: they just just talked about you on CNN. I said,
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: that's good, No, Dad, what mean? And so then they
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: told me what we said. So let's just go from
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the beginning, be card. The discussion you all were having
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: on CNN was pertaining to what. So we were having
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: a discussion about the president and giving his speech, UM,
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: and you know the speech and in Phoenix, Arizona, and
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: he was doing what he normally does, which is caught
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: a white supremacy. It was going in and out of synchronization.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: It was making sense and not making sense. But at
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: the end of the day, my comments were very plain
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: and very simple, UM that anybody who has a platform,
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: anybody who has UM a message or a voice that
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: can speak out and speak up, needs to utilize it. UM.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: And so yeah, I mean I said that what we
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: need to do is I said, I want to know
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: where the voices are who gave Donald Trump respectability. We
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: need to make sure that the people like Steve Harvey,
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: the people like Jim Brown are speaking up and speaking out.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: And I stand by those words, and I think that
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: it's important, UM that if anybody who has a platform,
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: UM use that platform to speak out and speak up,
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: especially right now with someone who was trying to roll
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: back as many of the progresses as we've made UM
- 1:13:51Speaker 1: of the past eight years of the past fifty years, um,
- 1:13:54Speaker 1: as Donald Trump has. And so my question was was
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: a simple one. Um, you know it's Steve Harvey. Is
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: Jim Brown going to speak out? If so? I hope
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: they do. I hope they use that platform. Lally. Yeah. Now, first,
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: b Card, let me let me start with the comment
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: of those of us who gave him a voice of respectability,
- 1:14:15Speaker 1: because that's that's where I want to start this whole thing.
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: Because my initial visit to see Trump at the time
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: was because I had received a call from the Obama
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: transition team, not President Obama, but President Obama's transition team.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Now I have relationship with President Obama. I showed away
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: from it, and they said, home, man, we want you
- 1:14:38Speaker 1: to know how important this is to bridge the gap.
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: So they got the Trump transition team on the phone
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: and they put us on the phone together and they
- 1:14:45Speaker 1: said would you come. So it was off and on
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: and off and on and so then the week of
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: the thirteenth, on January, they said, be a Trump Towers
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: at two thirty maddling wizzen Hunt called me from Trump's
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: office and so I was my wife and I talked
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: about it. She had deep concerns about it, but I said, okay, baby,
- 1:15:05Speaker 1: what you want me to do? I got the sitting
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: president and the incoming president, and both seemed to want
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: to make this happen, so I should go. So that's
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: what I was doing. I was really felt badly, but
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: card because I didn't know, you know, I didn't vote
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: for it, you know, and it was really hard not
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: to get his ass in. I just wanna, I want to.
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: I want to. I want you to understand my disappointment,
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: because you know, this isn't Donald Trump is not somebody
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: knew who we just met on the scene. It's the
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: same Donald Trump who was sued from the by the
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: Department of Justice for violent individual civil rights. It's the
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: same Donald Trump who was sued by dealers in Atlantic
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: City for discriminatory practices. It's the same Donald Trump, um
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: who you know, dealt with the Central Park five after
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: they were found and exonerated and found me not guilty
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: and persecute as each other like brothers and stuff. You know,
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: for me, the disappointment, the heartache is is not necessarily
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: uh you know, taking the phone call per se, but
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: it is lending someone and and you know, my angel
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: has said it best when individuals show you who they are.
- 1:16:15Speaker 1: We have to trust that and believe that. And so
- 1:16:18Speaker 1: you know, Donald Trump is who we thought he was,
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: There's no question about it. And to see his practices
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: not just when he was elected, but even today, my
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: point is still the same. My point is that we
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: need all hands on deck because Steve, the way I
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: feel about you, um is I look at you the
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: same way that I look at a James Brown, the
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: same way I look at a Harry Belafonte, the same
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: way I look at a Dick Gregory. I mean, I
- 1:16:44Speaker 1: looked at you with the utmost respect on the platform
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: that not only all the things that you have done,
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: but the things that you will do. And so we
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: need to make sure that we are all hands on
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: deck with someone like Donald Trump who was peeling back
- 1:16:57Speaker 1: and rolling back everything that we believe in. Yeah, let
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: me say this. I had heard all of what you said,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: to be honest, because we had kind of discussed it
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: on the show the scrimatory lawsuit, you know, But what
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: had happened was this guy goes from the campaign trail
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: to the White House. So now this person with these
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: problems who also got elected after you know, talking about
- 1:17:22Speaker 1: a man's wife that's running that also said he could
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: grab a woman's p and it's okay. Not a dude
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: that was on the bus with him, Uh, Billy Billy Bush.
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: He gets fired the other dude that was on the
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: bus who said it is the president. Now I'm sitting
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: up here going, wow, we are in some jacked up times.
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: We'll be back. You're listening, all right? Uh, welcome back, everybody.
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: I told you we're gonna have a special guest. He's here,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: Mr Bacard Seller. So so so when this guy gets
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: in the office, he's not just a guy who has
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: made these negative comments and lawsuits and all this. He's
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: now the incoming president. So the hard part for me
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: but Cary, was how does the sitting president and the
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: incoming president request a meeting and how do I say no,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: I ain't meeting with you. That was the dilmma that
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: I had, man, And looking back on it in hindsight,
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: I was talking to Ed Gordon one time. He said, Steve,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: what you should have did was told us you were
- 1:18:28Speaker 1: going to meet him and what you were going to
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: talk about. And that's beautiful in hindsight. But guess what
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I didn't really know what I was going to talk
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: to him about because I didn't know what they wanted.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: So I'm just I just went to the meeting. Go ahead. No,
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: I get that, and I understand that completely. But now
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: we're at a point where we have someone who is
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: embolding and giving. He's given a bigger platform. And I
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: know when you came out to Towers, I remember what
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: you said, and I I appreciate that we're gonna give
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: a voice and we're gonna talk about housing in nfity
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: Chicago and Detroit. I remember that. But he's an bolden
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: white supremacist and neo Nazis and the clan more than
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: he's in bolting people who look like me and you.
- 1:19:08Speaker 1: So for me, I mean, my only point is that,
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: like I want every single person like my I don't
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: have a lot of um, you know, astronomical goals in
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: my life. Of course, I want to be able to
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: take care of my family and all of this and
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: all of that. But for me, I just want to
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: be able to live and die seeking justice and truth
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: and peace and those type of things. And I need
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: to make sure that everybody who's on the same plane.
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: So I am who have the platform is using that voice,
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: and that was my only point that you and Jim
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: Brown and so many others, I mean, we we cannot
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: afford to sit back and let Donald Trump continue to
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: do the things he've been doing, although it's only been
- 1:19:48Speaker 1: seven months now. Okay, let me say this card because
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: I agree with everything you're saying wholeheartedly. And that's the
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: reason I wanted you and I to talk openly, because
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: we we our brothers who are on the same mission.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: We just got We got two routes we're taken to
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: get there, and we got two modes that we can
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: use to get there. Knowing what I know now about
- 1:20:11Speaker 1: this man, but having seen it come into action with
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: the power of the presidency, would I have gone up
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: that end knowing that if I would have knew the
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: knew the backlash, and my family would have suffered behind it.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: I wouldn't have win. I don't give a damn what
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: President Obama and the transition team said. I just wouldn't
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: have done it to my family. I really didn't expect
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: the severity of the backlash because the backlash that came
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: to me, it didn't come to me from White Fox.
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: The backlash that came to me came from the very
- 1:20:41Speaker 1: people that I served and have loved and tried to
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: be an example for all these years. So it was
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: kind of hurtful from me when they when they came,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I was a coon or sell out and all like this.
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: So when I got to the meeting, not knowing what
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: it was about. When he posed a question to me,
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: he said, what can I do for you? I said, no, man,
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: let me help you. And God just got on me
- 1:21:01Speaker 1: and heead let me work with U. Ben con Well,
- 1:21:06Speaker 1: when we came off the elevator, he was the other thing.
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: He wasn't supposed he wasn't supposed to come down on
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: the elevator. I was gonna go down and go and
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: address the media. And I asked him before I left,
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: I said, Mr Trump, let me ask you a question.
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: I'm going to tell them what we talked about. Is
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: that okay? He said sure, absolutely, And I told him
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: I was gonna talk about this. He said, fine, I
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: get on the elevator. He said, hold on, Stephen, going
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: down with you. Okay, we get off the elevator. He
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: walked straight up to the microphone and the first word
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: out his mouth was We're gonna repeal and replace Obamaca.
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: I'm standing here going, dude, we said a damn thing
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: like that up stair. So now I'm standing there looking
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: like man like I didn't just talking about, yeah, we're
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: gonna repeal to replace Obamaca. And I was caught off
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: god before when I got to the truck and got
- 1:22:02Speaker 1: in the truck and was taking a deep breath, going, man,
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: let me see what I can talk to be being
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: casting about how I can propose this. I proposed a
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: vision center. Man, my phone lit up, manded you on
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: social media, man, they eating you a live and I
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: went wow, and so you know, but go ahead. Can
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: I just let me just say this for me. Listen,
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: the President of the United States ask you to come
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: and meet with him. And I understand that, like it's
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: a hard it's a hard uh ask to say no to.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: But my only point is now we know exactly who
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: he is, and so now there is not a day
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: to go by where we all should not be in
- 1:22:44Speaker 1: unison rebuking the fact that he is emboting those people
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: who want to take back the rights that we've worked
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: so hard for. And so I mean, let me ask
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: you a question, manure, Okay, knowing that he was this
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: guy before. But Gret, you just a little bit surprised
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: at the level to what it is. You know, no, all,
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: you know what's crazy. You know what's you know what's
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: the most amazing thing about this. You know all the
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: white people that are so surprised by Charlottesville. I mean
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: those people are bankers, those people are teachers, assistants, those
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: people are in our everyday communities. I'm not surprised by
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: that one bit. Now it has a faith and they
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: just have teaky torches and a Polo shirt and Google
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: boy pants khakis on. I mean, listen, this is nothing new.
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: I'm not surprised by it. I lost one of my
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: good friends in Charleston, South Carolina to white supremacy running
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: uk on on on the tenth degree um in the
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: in the Mother Manual shooting. So I mean, I understand
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: that this is very, very real, and I'm not surprised
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: that Donald Trump is the white supremacists in chief. I'm
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: not surprised at all. But what I am going to
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: do is make sure that every breath that I have
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: and every breath that I take, um, we make sure
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: that we're bringing those of us to look like me
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: and you and every most of the listeners on this
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: show have an opportunity to say that, you know, we're
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: gonna be all right, yeah, you know, man, I'll follow you.
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: I gotta tell you, I am a little bit surprised,
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: I am, man, because I just did not get the
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: levity of it, because, you know, man, as we all
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: try to hold him accountable, as we try to hold
- 1:24:23Speaker 1: him to task, I was thinking, Okay, what could I
- 1:24:26Speaker 1: do to hold him to task? Because right now his
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: wife can't do it, his daughter can't do it, Biser
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: couldn't do it, much couldn't do it. Comey tried to
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: do it, got is asked five. You know he over
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: that he dog he he is letting him have it
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: up there. He didn't got rid of a bangon the right.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: All right, this dude's right here. All right, we'll be back.
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve alright, Uh, welcome back, everybody. I
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: tell you we're gonna have a special guest. He's here.
- 1:25:02Speaker 1: Mr Bacard Selle, Hey man, let me ask you this.
- 1:25:05Speaker 1: I don't know how we can take this guy to task.
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: The seventy year old rich dude that's been doing what
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: you wanna do? Who had no place. Now he never
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: been the Alderman and now he the president of the
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: United States. And this dude, what he's just pardoned share
- 1:25:27Speaker 1: of our plans don't just my point exactly, man. That's
- 1:25:32Speaker 1: why we can't be quiet about nothing. Every single every
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: single opportunity we get, we have to call it for
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: what it is. I mean, we cannot be quiet right now.
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: I mean, listen, Marla King said it best. And I'm
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: not a big person who quotes King at every chance
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: I get, but he said, at the end of time,
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: we won't remember the words of our enemies, but we
- 1:25:50Speaker 1: remember the silence of our friends. I mean, we have
- 1:25:53Speaker 1: to make sure that we're speaking up and using every
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: single platform we have to speak out about somebody who
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: is a biggest who is president of the United States.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: That's what we have to do. And and I appreciate
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: your effort in that area. You know, on on this show,
- 1:26:09Speaker 1: we have two responsibilities. You know, we were first we
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: were created as an entertainment show, but we also went
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: bear the bannit of you know, man, we provide information
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: and we do it in a way man, and you
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: know where we could keep it, keep the light on it.
- 1:26:27Speaker 1: But for four hours. You know, we gotta do what
- 1:26:30Speaker 1: we do, which is to entertain here so people get
- 1:26:33Speaker 1: a break from it because CNN is dedicated to it. Lord,
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: have mercy all for you, Don Lemon. Don Lemon is
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: not this is his calling, Don Lemon. I just want
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: you to know, Yeah, Don Man, he is so done,
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: so done. And who's the guy who's the white guy
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: with the white hair that he's not He's not with
- 1:27:05Speaker 1: us anymore, Jeffrey, Lord, we are Jeffrey part ways were
- 1:27:08Speaker 1: part of ways. What happened to him because I didn't
- 1:27:10Speaker 1: care what Trump did, It was okay, but even for
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: a minute he started going like wow, you know, hey man,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: one time he couldn't explain That's what I knew. Donald.
- 1:27:22Speaker 1: You know, the most amazing part about this whole thing
- 1:27:24Speaker 1: is that we've only been seven months. In two years,
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: what do you think, because what do you all think
- 1:27:32Speaker 1: it's going to happen here? Can Can this last for
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: four years? Yeah? I believe it can last for four years.
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I'm preparing myself for the last for four years. You know,
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: I think that the most conness of our countries is
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: waking up. I mean, I listen, you know, white supremacy
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: is nothing new. Um. I think that we have to
- 1:27:52Speaker 1: brace ourselves and deal with it. Um. I think that
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: it's going to get, you know, a little bit worse
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: before it gets better. I mean, I think end of
- 1:28:00Speaker 1: the day, I think we're gonna be okay. But I
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: do believe that Donald Trump is what this country asked for.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: We haven't dealt with, We haven't dealt with what we
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: were built upon, which is race, which is race lavery.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: And so now we're here and we're recompiling that with
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: you know, Donald Trump. Hey man, let me ask you
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: one more question too, because here's the deal. Three million
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: votes more Hillary Clinton in the popular vote. What are
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: we going to do about this electoral because you know,
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: if if Georgia with fewer people can get the same
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: count as Ohio with more people, and so forth and
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: so on down the line, how do how do we
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: win this thing? Man? Because I can imagine eight years. Well,
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: we don't have to get on our horse. If we
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: want him to not be president for eight years, we'll
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: be back. You're listening to all, Uh, welcome back everybody, Uh,
- 1:29:02Speaker 1: Mr bocar Sellet. I am very very pleased just to
- 1:29:06Speaker 1: have the opportunity to have this discussion, but I do
- 1:29:09Speaker 1: want it enough. But I have a lot of friends
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: who question a electoral college, And I said, at the
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: electoral college is that bad? And they would not have
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: elected a black man from Way whose mom was from Kansas,
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: whose dad was from Kenya. So we just need to work.
- 1:29:25Speaker 1: We we have to work within the system that we have.
- 1:29:27Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, I think that
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: what it's gonna take is all of us to use
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: our voice and people of color to stand up and
- 1:29:34Speaker 1: be like, you know, we're not going to tolerate this,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: and we're gonna have to continue to fight. I mean,
- 1:29:39Speaker 1: that's all we have to. Oh, we we we are
- 1:29:42Speaker 1: a people who've been fighting for a very long time
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: just to be free, and we're gonna continue that fight.
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: And you know, with this right here with Charlottesville, Uh,
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: the darkness of Charlottesville had a flicker of light, a
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: light in it though because the majority of people that
- 1:30:00Speaker 1: were out there were not African Americans. And it's clear
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: this girl, Heather had to lose her life. But here
- 1:30:09Speaker 1: this this quite supremacy plows through it and kills, you know,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: and it had the highest family ask an amazing question.
- 1:30:16Speaker 1: They asked Why did it take for a white woman
- 1:30:20Speaker 1: to die for us to realize that white supremacy was real?
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: I mean it it is what it is. I mean,
- 1:30:27Speaker 1: you've lived a longer life than I have, Stephen. You know,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: you know how difficult it is just to not just
- 1:30:32Speaker 1: break through the glass ceiling, but to be able to
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: just crack it a little bit. I mean, you've lost
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: friends to individuals who were shot in the streets. I mean,
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: we've we've dealt with this before, but now people are
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: paying attention to it because they understand what it looks like.
- 1:30:46Speaker 1: And so I mean to get back to to do
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: full circle all the way back to my comments on CNN.
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: It was out of the utmost love and respect that
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: we're gonna be all in this together and we're gonna
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: figure this thing out, and at the end of the
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: day that they're gonna be somebody who's proud of us
- 1:31:03Speaker 1: because we will not let up on this fight for
- 1:31:06Speaker 1: truth and justice. We won't. We simply won't. Well, you know, man,
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: I invited you on the show to say just that
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: because what I wanted to stop before I got to
- 1:31:16Speaker 1: see if you had said this on a blog, we
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: wouldn't need to be talking, but it, guy said on
- 1:31:20Speaker 1: seeing it. So what I wanted was to show other
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: people that we can sit down and have an intelligent
- 1:31:30Speaker 1: discussion and try to understand one another. Because there's enough
- 1:31:34Speaker 1: separatism in our side of the playground. We don't need
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: no more. Oh man, you ought to tell bar Man
- 1:31:40Speaker 1: and no, no, no, no, no man, no man. Me
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: and his brother all right, Yeah, we just had a
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: different Maybe we had a misunderstand what we said. So
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: let's just talk it out like men. And just I
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: invited you on the show. I reached out to me
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: on your TV show before as well. Yea man and
- 1:31:59Speaker 1: twice and a great dude, and I love when you
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: on that show for CNN Fighting to Fight. I just
- 1:32:04Speaker 1: wanted everybody to hear you and I have an open
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: dialogue discussion because before before they get started, because I
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: stay on the internet, my aunts don't need to be
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: on the animal phone. Wellcary, we want to just say
- 1:32:16Speaker 1: thank you for taking the time, thank you for what
- 1:32:18Speaker 1: you do. First of all, we love, love, love you.
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: We talked about you before this came about. We just
- 1:32:24Speaker 1: love you that much, how brilliant you are and the
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: things you say and all of that. So thank you
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: for taking the time you want. And pcar just in closing, man,
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: you say my name out your mouth again, don't slap
- 1:32:34Speaker 1: all Okay. I just thought we'd have a good mon. Yeah.
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: Well that's good. Thank you for respecting that. Pacar be
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: good man, Thank you brother. You're listening to Steve Harvey
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: Morning Show. All right, here we are with just one
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: more thing to close close out the show. Great interview again, Steve,
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: great interview. I'm glad we got a chance for those
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: of us who missed it to hear it, to actually
- 1:33:04Speaker 1: hear it. Paccari uh Sellers And you don't know who
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: he is, watch CNN, you know anything. He's a good guy,
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: you know. And you know the reason we had to
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: get it out the wind, and because I took offense
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: to the comments. You know that people like Steve Harvey
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: and Jim Brown who gave him validity. Wait, man, and
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: then I wasn't validating by going up there, but I
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: was honoring the request. You know, true, true enough. People
- 1:33:33Speaker 1: still don't get it now, like I was at the
- 1:33:35Speaker 1: fight walking around. Hey man, you still like Trump, really man,
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: but you're the ninety nine point nine percent of the people, absolutely, man,
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: Big fan. Steve, love you man, thanks for all you do.
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: You know. But I came out to bathroom. I wonder
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: the VP bathroom. It was locked. I was in there
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: take a little bit too long. I had to use
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: the bathroom. So I walked across the floor to the public.
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: That's right, So not going to bathroom. A lot of
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: people in there, Steve Harvey, what's up? Man? What's up?
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: We're speaking? So I come out the bathroom and a
- 1:34:07Speaker 1: guy has his iPhone and he turns it on. He's
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: walking behind me. So, Steve Harvey, you being one of
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: the first African Americans to go see Trump, how do
- 1:34:15Speaker 1: you feel about him? Now? So I just kept walking. Man,
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: I haven't knowing this guy. You know, he got his
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: phone doing what you know, filming. You know you're trying,
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: but he's That's how people get their ass knocked up security.
- 1:34:36Speaker 1: So so so we're going along and God says again, So,
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, I know you hear me. So you went
- 1:34:44Speaker 1: up there to see Trump? How you feel about him now? Not?
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: I want to turn around and address the guy, but
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: he's nobody. So why why would I stop and address
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: this guy for what reason? You know? And I'm just
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: trying to walk for about third time. I know you
- 1:34:59Speaker 1: hear me? Wow, you want to got to see Trump? Man?
- 1:35:03Speaker 1: How do you feel about him? Now? First of all,
- 1:35:05Speaker 1: I didn't turn around. What what do you mean how
- 1:35:09Speaker 1: I feel about him? Now? How do you respond to?
- 1:35:11Speaker 1: I mean, you know what? What what are you talking about? Man?
- 1:35:14Speaker 1: And stop stop? I want people to stop acting like
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: I voted for him. Stop acting like I'm the reason
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: he in office? Can you stop that? And please stop
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: trying to make me accountable for this man's actions and
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: what he do, because ain't nobody been able to stop him?
- 1:35:30Speaker 1: So no, I can't be accountable for him. And even
- 1:35:33Speaker 1: though even when Bacari mentioned all the things that he
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: had done before he got to this point talking about
- 1:35:39Speaker 1: Donald Trump, now, it's still a surprise the things that
- 1:35:42Speaker 1: he did. I'm sorry, I have to tell you I was.
- 1:35:49Speaker 1: I was. I am surprised as some of the things
- 1:35:52Speaker 1: this man is saying as the president. I mean, I'm
- 1:35:56Speaker 1: just sitting here going wow. I thought maybe when he
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: became president, you know, the day, he would go by
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: the protocol and stuff. But man, when he had that
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: speech down in Phoenix and he cooked the papers from
- 1:36:10Speaker 1: his other speaking and left and what he said, didn't
- 1:36:16Speaker 1: I say this? And then I said this, Hold, because
- 1:36:19Speaker 1: it's amazing what this guy does. Man. First of all,
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: why are we still doing rallies and we're the president? Right,
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: you don't have You're done. But when he goes down
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: there to his base, they rejuvenate him. Man, Whenever he
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: needs a good shot for his ego, he goes down
- 1:36:37Speaker 1: there and he does these things. And I but Carr
- 1:36:41Speaker 1: City wasn't surprised. I am, Oh, definitely. I think the
- 1:36:46Speaker 1: funniest thing to me is to watch Putin when Putin
- 1:36:48Speaker 1: is sitting next to Trump's believe I'm stupid this game.
- 1:36:55Speaker 1: It's an amazing when you're in the bed from Yeah,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: but you know, you could easily just turn and pee
- 1:37:04Speaker 1: on the dude. You could. That would have been great.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: But we were walking. I was walking out of So
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: what happened was this guy, this guy who was walking
- 1:37:16Speaker 1: that I didn't know was just a cool guy. You
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: know what he did while we walking? While the guy
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: was looking through his phone filming, he pulled the chair
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: out in front of the guy. The guy falls over
- 1:37:27Speaker 1: the chair and throws his phone about slop machines down.
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: Not I just looked at sorry dude falling and it
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: was just a guy. And the guy came up to
- 1:37:38Speaker 1: me later he was a hard dude, left the steve.
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: We got a little for you men aware about him.
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: I got him and when he get up he can
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: come ask me. I hope he got yeah, yeah man,
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: And when he get up he can come and ask me.
- 1:37:54Speaker 1: Because he said, he said, hey man, a little he man,

- 1:38:22Speaker 1: bus boys because they come in and they bet don't come.
- 1:38:27Speaker 1: You know, everybody betting on point motion. Ninety eight percent
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: of the table. They're betting on the don't you know.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: So he betting that you won't hit. He got hundreds
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: down there back so you know when he hit, when
- 1:38:39Speaker 1: we crap out, got you dude, we're the bus boys.
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: And I was just messing with him. Man, so he
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: feels so he from overtime in Miami. You know that's
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: that's the real deal though. So I said, hey, big fella,
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: come on, man, just be a little bit quiet. Man,
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: let us win. I ain't gotta be quiet. So I
