- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know y'all back a suit, looking back to back down,
- 0:13Speaker 1: giving them just like the milling bus things. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: not through good. Steve har to mother star, please don't
- 0:39Speaker 1: join me. You gotta use that turn. You got to
- 1:25Speaker 1: turn to turn them out. Turn love, got to turn
- 1:44Speaker 1: them out to turn turn the water the water. Come
- 1:58Speaker 1: come on your back. Uh huh, I shore will a
- 2:03Speaker 1: good minding everybody. Y're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 1: dig me naw wanted only Steve Harvey got a radio show.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I gotta tweet the other day. When Steve Harvey used
- 2:17Speaker 1: to get to preaching, I used to just turn the
- 2:19Speaker 1: radio off. But Noah's different, old dude be bringing it.
- 2:26Speaker 1: He'd be bringing the truth. I appreciate that, you know. Man.
- 2:30Speaker 1: When I was younger, man, when I when I wanted
- 2:32Speaker 1: to do what I wanted to do, Man, I just man,
- 2:35Speaker 1: I didn't want to hear nothing else. I didn't want
- 2:37Speaker 1: to hear nothing that contradicted what I wanted to do.
- 2:41Speaker 1: You know. So it's a funny thing man about me.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Man I was I would hear the truth, I would
- 2:46Speaker 1: know it to be the truth. But because I had
- 2:49Speaker 1: another plan, another mission, another goal, another set of dudes.
- 2:52Speaker 1: I wanted to get done. I didn't want to hear that.
- 2:57Speaker 1: You know, it's a funny thing, man, It's like it's
- 2:59Speaker 1: like when I was a little boy and I used
- 3:01Speaker 1: to get scared sometime at night, you know, the booger man.
- 3:04Speaker 1: So I thought that if I just pulled the blanket
- 3:07Speaker 1: up over my head, that that meant that if I
- 3:10Speaker 1: can't see the booger man, he can't see me. That's
- 3:13Speaker 1: the theory. That's an ostrich, you know, sticking his head
- 3:18Speaker 1: in the sand, thinking wow, if I don't see this dude,
- 3:20Speaker 1: he can't see me. A lot of Ostriches didn't die
- 3:23Speaker 1: with their head stuck in the sand. I just didn't
- 3:26Speaker 1: want to be one of the people that left this
- 3:28Speaker 1: world with my head in the sand. But I just
- 3:33Speaker 1: wanted to say, man, this morning, that quit talking about change.
- 3:41Speaker 1: Y'all listening, because because because this is real right here,
- 3:46Speaker 1: quit talking about change and let's make a change. You know, man,
- 3:52Speaker 1: I don't I don't mind giving people advice, I really,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I really really don't, because so many people along the
- 3:58Speaker 1: way have handed it to me freely. Man, Some people
- 4:02Speaker 1: just saw me doing wrong and say, young man, come here,
- 4:04Speaker 1: let me talk to you for a minute. Some people say, hey, bro,
- 4:07Speaker 1: look man, I know what you're trying to do it. Man,
- 4:09Speaker 1: when have you thought about it this way? So I've
- 4:13Speaker 1: had a lot of favor in my life, a lot
- 4:16Speaker 1: of grace been shown on me, a lot of mercy,
- 4:18Speaker 1: A lot of people and came to me, helped me
- 4:20Speaker 1: a long way. So I don't have no problem with
- 4:22Speaker 1: this part of what I'm what I'm obligated to do
- 4:24Speaker 1: in the mornings. But let's quit talking about change, y'all,
- 4:28Speaker 1: and let's make a change. She changed its growth, and
- 4:32Speaker 1: it ain't no growth without change. You got people. Man,
- 4:36Speaker 1: You ever met a person that's just insistent on doing
- 4:40Speaker 1: it they way? I mean, no body in the building
- 4:43Speaker 1: think they should go that way, but they're so bone headed.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Oh this is how I'm gonna do it. But bro,
- 4:50Speaker 1: listen to me. Man, that ain't high as done. You're
- 4:53Speaker 1: gonna run into this distance. I'll show you. Hey a minute, man,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you can't do it that way. Man, if you are
- 5:01Speaker 1: sick and tired of where you are, then you have
- 5:03Speaker 1: to change. Change can only come from within. Can nobody
- 5:08Speaker 1: make you change? Now we got a penal system in
- 5:11Speaker 1: place that can make you sit down. If you don't
- 5:14Speaker 1: want to change, we'll sit you down and we'll restrict
- 5:18Speaker 1: your movement and your communication to the point where if
- 5:21Speaker 1: you want to continue this foolishness, we're gonna put you
- 5:24Speaker 1: in this building with a whole lot of people. That's foolishness,
- 5:27Speaker 1: and y'all just trick each other all day long. But
- 5:30Speaker 1: if you are sick and tired of your situation, pray
- 5:34Speaker 1: for it. Pray for change, Ask God to help you change.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Ask God what he wants for you instead of always
- 5:42Speaker 1: telling God what you want. It's an interesting prayer to
- 5:46Speaker 1: have with God. When you quit going to God with
- 5:50Speaker 1: your list and check in with God and see what
- 5:53Speaker 1: his list is. That's a very interesting prayer. If you're
- 5:57Speaker 1: a praying person, I suggest you try that sometime. It's
- 6:00Speaker 1: so interesting. Man, Do you know what it did for
- 6:03Speaker 1: me when I started asking God what he wanted for me?
- 6:06Speaker 1: Instead of telling God all the time. I still tell
- 6:08Speaker 1: him what I want, but instead of all the time
- 6:11Speaker 1: going to Him with what I want. You know what
- 6:13Speaker 1: it did for me. It freed me up. It took
- 6:16Speaker 1: a lot of pressure off I no longer had to
- 6:19Speaker 1: think of everything, and what I was thinking of a
- 6:21Speaker 1: lot of times wasn't working no way. And when I
- 6:24Speaker 1: opened myself up to what he wanted, to what his
- 6:27Speaker 1: wheel was, Man, do you know how much simpler my
- 6:30Speaker 1: life got? And do you know how much bigger it got?
- 6:33Speaker 1: I'm trying to tell you, man, if you pray for
- 6:35Speaker 1: change and you allow God to help you with the change,
- 6:39Speaker 1: or if you let God just produce the change, the changing,
- 6:42Speaker 1: you would be amazing. If you've been listening to me,
- 6:45Speaker 1: especially out in La since I was on the radio
- 6:48Speaker 1: since two thousand, can't you hear the change? I'm flat
- 6:53Speaker 1: out telling you that a change has come. But I
- 6:57Speaker 1: had to pray for the change because I couldn't make
- 6:59Speaker 1: the change on my own. And then after you pray
- 7:02Speaker 1: for the change, you gotta work towards your trade change.
- 7:05Speaker 1: You know, as faith without works is dead. Everybody wants
- 7:09Speaker 1: something from God, always want to talk to God about something.
- 7:12Speaker 1: But then man, ain't, ain't, don't, don't want to do
- 7:16Speaker 1: nothing about it. Faith without works is dead. You can't
- 7:20Speaker 1: do it that way, man, It just does not happen.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So so after you didn't pray to God about it,
- 7:26Speaker 1: what you gotta do then is you gotta turn around
- 7:28Speaker 1: and go hey, man, all right, now, what is it
- 7:31Speaker 1: I got to do? You know, you got to do
- 7:34Speaker 1: something to bring it about. So after you pray for it,
- 7:38Speaker 1: work for it, and do something today about it. Stop procrastinating.
- 7:44Speaker 1: Don't procrastinate, folks. The change can start today. Man, I
- 7:48Speaker 1: want to change. How about today? You know, then you
- 7:52Speaker 1: see them same people, Man, I want to change. That's
- 7:54Speaker 1: next week. How about today? I see people years later? Man,
- 7:59Speaker 1: I see in the same old situation. Man, I'm gonna
- 8:02Speaker 1: do so how about today? Today is a good day.
- 8:06Speaker 1: There's nothing stopping you from changing today, nothing except you.
- 8:12Speaker 1: You can begin the process of change immediately. And change
- 8:16Speaker 1: is growth, y'all. And ain't no growth without changing. It's
- 8:20Speaker 1: a simple thing. And I'm talking to you in broad
- 8:22Speaker 1: strokes because everybody got something about them they need to change.
- 8:26Speaker 1: That's why I'm not specifically talking about anything. I got
- 8:30Speaker 1: some things in me didn't need to change so I
- 8:32Speaker 1: can grow further. Everybody has something about them that they
- 8:38Speaker 1: need to change in order to grow further and then
- 8:41Speaker 1: go further. Now, what's stopping you is you won't start
- 8:44Speaker 1: the change today. Don't hesitate make that change. And then
- 8:49Speaker 1: I want you to watch something. When you change, watch
- 8:52Speaker 1: the difference in you. Notice the difference in you, feel
- 8:56Speaker 1: the difference in you, and guess what you're gonna be different.
- 9:00Speaker 1: If you're watching for the change, If you're feeling the change,
- 9:04Speaker 1: then guess what you're gonna be different. Man, Watch for
- 9:07Speaker 1: the difference, feel the difference. You will be different. If
- 9:11Speaker 1: you're sick and tired of your situation, folks, you can
- 9:13Speaker 1: change that. But the change is in you. It's a
- 9:17Speaker 1: simple decision you had to make. I'm gonna change. The
- 9:19Speaker 1: change is up to you. You can decide to day
- 9:23Speaker 1: if you want to change, you want to be different.
- 9:25Speaker 1: If you're sitting behind the wall, I love speaking to
- 9:28Speaker 1: the brothers and sisters behind the wall. If you're behind
- 9:30Speaker 1: the wall, man, and you're sick and tired of being
- 9:32Speaker 1: behind the wall, man, why don't you change? You've thought
- 9:35Speaker 1: about that change? Man. If I get back out there,
- 9:38Speaker 1: I'm gonna just do the same thing. Stop saying that,
- 9:40Speaker 1: Stop breathing that negativity into your life. Decide today that
- 9:43Speaker 1: you want to change. You can do it. Everybody can change.
- 9:47Speaker 1: If you don't know how to change, pray for it, man,
- 9:49Speaker 1: Ask God to help you with the change. Or you
- 9:52Speaker 1: get some movement, then partner, you get a whole lot
- 9:54Speaker 1: of movement. Then all right, let's ride. You're listening morning,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, prepare yourself for this morning show. As
- 10:05Speaker 1: we are getting ready to let it go. You know
- 10:08Speaker 1: what I'm saying, ain't we e in the whole back

- 11:38Speaker 1: So that's uh over there, demanding that they get to
- 11:42Speaker 1: Steve Harvest Martin to show back on the radio. That's
- 11:45Speaker 1: what they are demanding. Felt they are not taking note
- 11:52Speaker 1: for an answer. I said time, I'm standing up in
- 12:01Speaker 1: the audio. What the hell the damn show at timing.
- 12:03Speaker 1: Let's gonna wait a minute. I didn't take it on,
- 12:05Speaker 1: but we need to know what's going on. We need
- 12:07Speaker 1: to talk to somebody. They love this show, and we
- 12:13Speaker 1: love Tampa Year appreciating the loyalty. Yes, thank you. Yes,
- 12:23Speaker 1: but those are the avid flows of life. Yes, everything changes.

- 13:26Speaker 1: Watch you all right? Coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:32Speaker 1: after the hour, we'll talk about short sets, no and
- 13:37Speaker 1: but we will talk about the CLO. We'll do ask
- 13:40Speaker 1: the Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey right after this. You're
- 13:44Speaker 1: listening to show, all right, here we go, see llo,
- 13:50Speaker 1: it is time. Um let's see my fiance. This is
- 13:56Speaker 1: from uh Marie and j D in Tampa, and Marie writes,
- 14:01Speaker 1: my fiance and I pulled up, yeah, Tampa, right. I
- 14:05Speaker 1: pulled up to the church for our wedding rehearsal on Friday,
- 14:08Speaker 1: and the cops stopped us because of a busted tail light.
- 14:13Speaker 1: My fiance had two warrants, so the cops cuffed him
- 14:17Speaker 1: and read him his rights. My family came out of
- 14:21Speaker 1: the church and told us to go ahead and get
- 14:24Speaker 1: married because my fiance might not get out for a while.
- 14:27Speaker 1: The cops allowed us to go inside the church to
- 14:30Speaker 1: get married, but they didn't take his handcuffs off. My
- 14:35Speaker 1: wedding was ruined, and I'm so disappointed in him. It's
- 14:38Speaker 1: my marriage doomed. Wait a minute, were they going to rehearse?
- 14:43Speaker 1: They were going to rehearse and her family told her
- 14:47Speaker 1: to go ahead and get married because her fiance may
- 14:49Speaker 1: not get out for a while. From the family, mean
- 14:53Speaker 1: the suggestion from the family. Yeah, just wait and see
- 14:57Speaker 1: what was waiting? He got to two warrant what you're
- 14:59Speaker 1: getting married? In hand? Coach fo Yeah your marriage was ruined?
- 15:02Speaker 1: All yeah? Do was wait? It was the rehearsal. Let him,
- 15:05Speaker 1: let him eye out the problems. Then y'all getting married. Yeah,
- 15:08Speaker 1: the wedding was ruined. She wants to know, is her
- 15:10Speaker 1: marriage doomed? No? Yeah, sign from God? A sign from God?
- 15:19Speaker 1: Listen to bitter man from God? All right? Moving on,
- 15:24Speaker 1: Sylvia in uh Pramis, New Jersey, says, my family and
- 15:30Speaker 1: I planned a summer trip to DC to do some
- 15:33Speaker 1: sightseeing and visit family. I'm the oldest of five siblings,
- 15:37Speaker 1: so I was making the arrangements my youngest brother. My
- 15:40Speaker 1: youngest brother is sixty two and he's married, but he
- 15:44Speaker 1: wants to bring his girlfriend that is almost my age.
- 15:48Speaker 1: He has booked his room and he's the one driving us.
- 15:51Speaker 1: So this has messed up our plans. My middle sister
- 15:54Speaker 1: said she's going to uninvite the woman. Would we be
- 15:58Speaker 1: wrong for meddling? Girl? You know, see all this, all
- 16:04Speaker 1: this country mess, we're riding together. Get your own damn car.
- 16:11Speaker 1: Your youngest brother is sixty two. Ain't nobody else got
- 16:16Speaker 1: no car? And if he won't bring his girlfriend but
- 16:21Speaker 1: not his wife, it's I'm assuming he's married. Yeah, but
- 16:26Speaker 1: he bringing his girlfriend. This ain't your business. But now
- 16:32Speaker 1: y'all you want to uninvite her so she don't be
- 16:34Speaker 1: in the car. But he won't be mad because y'all
- 16:37Speaker 1: in the car in the middle in his business. What
- 16:42Speaker 1: for sure? These family reunion these hood reunions and hood weddings,
- 16:47Speaker 1: getting mad and cuffs and they got two wars and
- 16:50Speaker 1: the police let you get married, but you kept the
- 16:54Speaker 1: cuffs on. And oh listen too much? Oh man, come on,
- 17:00Speaker 1: how good of a wedding was this? And then now
- 17:03Speaker 1: you come in here with this foolishness. Yeah, summer trip
- 17:08Speaker 1: to DC. Maybe it's ruined coast. Yeah no, just let
- 17:12Speaker 1: him go. He didn't got his own room. Somebody else
- 17:15Speaker 1: got a car unless he the younger brother seeks to
- 17:19Speaker 1: rush y'all eighty. Well, I'm just saying, the youngest brother
- 17:25Speaker 1: seeks to the rust of y'all eighty Maybe can't nobody
- 17:27Speaker 1: to drive but him, y'all now and then, how long
- 17:34Speaker 1: y'all riding with all them old people in the car.
- 17:36Speaker 1: You got any idea how many times y'all gonna have
- 17:38Speaker 1: to stop? They're going to DC so they live in
- 17:42Speaker 1: Jersey and they won the d C. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 17:45Speaker 1: that's three stops unless y'all can sync up this year name.
- 17:52Speaker 1: This is the only way if y'all can get it
- 17:54Speaker 1: sync up. But it's hard to get five old people
- 17:57Speaker 1: in the car to sync up. Y'all gonna be stopping
- 18:00Speaker 1: about every thirty minutes. Oh, I got to go now.
- 18:08Speaker 1: You know I didn't get out that last up, but
- 18:10Speaker 1: I sure got to get out now. Hey, you see
- 18:14Speaker 1: anything coming up? You just want to kill him? Yes? Hey,
- 18:20Speaker 1: what that sign say? Right there? Rest stop? Fifty miles?
- 18:29Speaker 1: See what this shit is? It? A wide showed up
- 18:31Speaker 1: here somewhere not wide so you can pull over. You
- 18:34Speaker 1: won't get killed. You can tell you've taken a lot
- 18:37Speaker 1: of a lot of roads. Tree all right, we're moving on. Remarkable,
- 18:43Speaker 1: remarkable and Hollywood says. I'm a twenty eight year old
- 18:46Speaker 1: single woman and I work in an adult novelty store
- 18:49Speaker 1: with boots to watch adult videos. I just started the
- 18:53Speaker 1: job two weeks ago, and I work at night. I
- 18:55Speaker 1: smoke a lot of weed and it gets me in trouble.
- 18:58Speaker 1: The other night, I went into one of the boots
- 19:01Speaker 1: with a man and we fooled around a bit, but
- 19:03Speaker 1: nothing major. Afterwards, my coworker mentioned that all of the
- 19:07Speaker 1: boots are being recorded for patron safety. What do I
- 19:11Speaker 1: do now? Well, well, you know your name is remarkable, Yes,
- 19:18Speaker 1: so I guess you was in that just living up
- 19:20Speaker 1: to it. And now you was in that just a
- 19:24Speaker 1: little bit, you twenty nine. I mean remarkable, I mean
- 19:27Speaker 1: what you want. Come on, it is what it is.
- 19:30Speaker 1: You know you don't win in that. You know you're tricky. Look,
- 19:33Speaker 1: you're tricky. You work at an adult bookstore that's got
- 19:39Speaker 1: boots in it, where you can watch movies. You don't
- 19:41Speaker 1: win in that, winter man, because you smoke weed, and
- 19:44Speaker 1: the weed get you in trouble. The hell, I ain't
- 19:49Speaker 1: got no answer for you. You need to change your
- 19:52Speaker 1: damn name, change your job, and you got to quit
- 19:56Speaker 1: smoking weed because it just makes you do Now you're
- 19:59Speaker 1: in that b and remarkable. Yeah, she needs to look
- 20:02Speaker 1: for another job. Perhaps fooled around. It was nothing major.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Well we know what that is, all right. Moving on,
- 20:10Speaker 1: Passy in a Memphis says, I'm a fifty two year
- 20:14Speaker 1: old married woman. I live in turmoil because of my
- 20:16Speaker 1: husband's cheating. We've been married for seventeen years and I
- 20:19Speaker 1: started seeing him with other women after the two year
- 20:22Speaker 1: mark of our marriage. He comes and goes as he pleases.
- 20:26Speaker 1: He says he's not cheating. He just has a social life,
- 20:28Speaker 1: and I don't. I don't want to leave him because
- 20:31Speaker 1: of his cheating. He needs to lead. If I find
- 20:34Speaker 1: out it's true, I'm putting him out. How can I
- 20:37Speaker 1: find out the truth? The truth? All right? How do
- 20:42Speaker 1: I know if he's really cheating because he got a
- 20:45Speaker 1: social life and you don't. You didn't hear that, Thank you, Cello.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Coming up next, Church complaints Reverend Motown Tacon death jam
- 20:53Speaker 1: in the building. Right after this, you're listening Steve Harvey
- 20:57Speaker 1: Morning Show. Coming up at the top of the hour,
- 21:00Speaker 1: Miss Anna standing by with today's national news and in
- 21:04Speaker 1: entertainment news, we'll talk about more highlights from last night's
- 21:07Speaker 1: Beet Awards. It was hosted by our girl to Rogi
- 21:09Speaker 1: p Henson And did you check out Soldier Boy versus
- 21:13Speaker 1: the bow Wow battle. It was a versus battle. We'll
- 21:16Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:18Speaker 1: the hour, Enegenic. Yeah, right now, it is Monday time
- 21:25Speaker 1: for church complaints with Reverend Motown and Deacon death Jam.
- 21:32Speaker 1: We knew why you know, I never revealed my secret
- 21:41Speaker 1: ambission to oh be a gospel quotete leader. I know
- 21:49Speaker 1: you didn't, but I have obeyedicated relissified that perpetory shit
- 22:02Speaker 1: into the singing field due to analog a not a
- 22:06Speaker 1: lotical situation that had died, versified and over comptulated himself.
- 22:16Speaker 1: So therefore him back to just giving this unpressed dietical
- 22:22Speaker 1: message owner own, owner daily and a weekly basis for
- 22:29Speaker 1: the mass multitudefied or folk. Go ahead, DC, just go ahead, Deacon.
- 22:36Speaker 1: We don't break nothing down. We got complaints, all right,
- 22:41Speaker 1: we'll break this down, Paster. The fourth of julye wing
- 22:44Speaker 1: eating contest has been uh changed, since that is a
- 22:47Speaker 1: shortage of wings. It's been changed to thighs. A thigh
- 22:51Speaker 1: eating contest. Now here's the problem, Rick Ross get supposed
- 22:55Speaker 1: to be hosting the event. But the problem is Rick
- 22:58Speaker 1: Ross is sixty thousand dollars to your call path or
- 23:02Speaker 1: Rick won't be holting this here. That's a no. I
- 23:10Speaker 1: like Ricky ROSSI Rosie, but not for sixty thousand. He's
- 23:16Speaker 1: opening up a thigh chicken. Please understand. Stop, that's right now. Yeah,
- 23:25Speaker 1: stop and get some thighs stopping, which is my favorite
- 23:27Speaker 1: piece of chicken. Anyway. I think that's the first thing
- 23:31Speaker 1: we have probably ever agreed on, is that we both
- 23:34Speaker 1: like that. That is the first thing. That's a historical
- 23:37Speaker 1: moment right here. Yeah, you don't have to remain a sister.
- 23:42Speaker 1: Latrica Owens is trying to sue the church. She fell
- 23:47Speaker 1: at her house doing the zoom service and claims it's
- 23:50Speaker 1: your fault because you she was shouting doing your sermon. YO,
- 23:55Speaker 1: called on how you want us to handle this? But
- 23:57Speaker 1: she claims what sermon when she referred into whichever you
- 24:01Speaker 1: did this past Sunday path yesterday, then this past Sunday
- 24:05Speaker 1: we were talking about it, or oh the COVID relief
- 24:11Speaker 1: COVID released that was not a shouting moment in that
- 24:15Speaker 1: shipment was nothing butter that that's a lie. Because all
- 24:23Speaker 1: I did was asked for money last Sunday. So now
- 24:30Speaker 1: she lyned about last Sunday. So bring on the lawsuit
- 24:34Speaker 1: and the poof and show me where I said anything
- 24:39Speaker 1: to produce even the Hallelujah on last Sunday. The quietest
- 24:46Speaker 1: assume has ever been was last week. All right, I well,
- 24:53Speaker 1: we'll just see if she tried to take us to court.
- 24:55Speaker 1: We're keeping moving path. Brother Charles Bailey, U who, as
- 25:00Speaker 1: you know, is just jet black, beautiful, jet black, and uh,
- 25:04Speaker 1: he just called Videlago. Now he is super white. Uh,
- 25:10Speaker 1: he came home and his wife and kids beat him
- 25:12Speaker 1: up thinking that he was an intruder. He wants you
- 25:15Speaker 1: to talk to them and let him let them know
- 25:17Speaker 1: that it's actually him. But yeah, he's he's passing. Well,
- 25:21Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be able to do that. Well that's
- 25:23Speaker 1: a you know, with all that's going on in the
- 25:25Speaker 1: news today, and any white man that breaks in black
- 25:30Speaker 1: pleasure got got to know what's gonna happen. I understand.
- 25:35Speaker 1: But it was his house, though passed it. He wasn't
- 25:37Speaker 1: really breaking any I know, I know, I know exactly
- 25:40Speaker 1: what you said, you know, But if he's on and
- 25:43Speaker 1: I don't know what you know, being afraid of heights
- 25:47Speaker 1: got to do with anything. But what'd you tell I'm
- 25:49Speaker 1: afraid of heights? What did you talk? Man? You say
- 25:53Speaker 1: he's got vitelago. Yeah, that's where your skin changes color?
- 25:58Speaker 1: What what do you what are you saying? What did
- 26:01Speaker 1: you talking about? You know? Or a free the heights?
- 26:05Speaker 1: Or I mean did he jump through the window embarrassed? Right?
- 26:10Speaker 1: Did he come down through the chimney? All those big words,
- 26:17Speaker 1: that is not one of the big words. What what verti?
- 26:22Speaker 1: Logo is you see your heights? No, vertigo, vertego is
- 26:27Speaker 1: a feel of heights. Better logo is when your skin changes? Why?
- 26:32Speaker 1: Wait a minute, Virgil is going, well, vertigo is not
- 26:38Speaker 1: a fear of talking. Who is Virgio? I don't understand
- 26:45Speaker 1: you said Virgil goal, I said, better logo is what
- 26:51Speaker 1: I said. I thought you said Virgilal Now, I just
- 26:54Speaker 1: wanted to know where it was Virgil going, Okay, that's it.
- 27:00Speaker 1: Let's go to the next one. Deacon understanding of grammatical
- 27:07Speaker 1: or expertise that I possessed? Yeah, I noticed, yeah, right, pass.
- 27:13Speaker 1: It seems that some of our ex stripper members were
- 27:16Speaker 1: performing last night, uh at the Beet awards, and uh
- 27:20Speaker 1: that explains why they didn't attend service. We think, Uh,
- 27:24Speaker 1: they are back to backslide, that's what we think. Now,
- 27:27Speaker 1: do you want to have a meeting with them? Some
- 27:31Speaker 1: of them? But I will say no, no, no, no.
- 27:34Speaker 1: Some of the performances was entertaining. In order for me
- 27:37Speaker 1: to make a ruling on it, I'll have to see
- 27:39Speaker 1: the video really, okay, what I do and all fairness
- 27:47Speaker 1: it all fats, I can see her all right. Uh.
- 27:53Speaker 1: So here he has passed, Brother Bernard Jackson, our favorite
- 27:56Speaker 1: little person has passed. Now his family has asked for
- 28:00Speaker 1: a regular service. Now will you be able to officiate
- 28:04Speaker 1: the service? And remember they are asking for a regular service.
- 28:08Speaker 1: He won't say regular size casket and very tall pallbearers
- 28:13Speaker 1: that's what he wants. Well, I'm gonna tell you right now.
- 28:18Speaker 1: We may have a We can have regular woods. But
- 28:22Speaker 1: we've been do some six cutbacks. Oh, we're getting the
- 28:27Speaker 1: casket gonna be white. Listen, listen, let's not mess around.
- 28:32Speaker 1: And you only need two hooks on the casket because
- 28:36Speaker 1: he was little, and we only need two pallbarrels, one
- 28:40Speaker 1: on the front right hand side and one on the
- 28:44Speaker 1: left backhand side. That's how small he was. So we're
- 28:49Speaker 1: cutting back on people, We're cutting back on the side
- 28:53Speaker 1: of the coffee, and we're gonna have a short service
- 28:59Speaker 1: and we gonna be in here for a short Why
- 29:03Speaker 1: what better way to arnold a little person than to
- 29:06Speaker 1: keep it short? And that at best keep it we
- 29:12Speaker 1: have to go coming up, Thank you pastors doing the
- 29:15Speaker 1: top of the hour entertaining the national news right after this,
- 29:20Speaker 1: you're listening to show. Last night, the b ET Awards
- 29:28Speaker 1: happened in Los Angeles. It was hosted by our girl,
- 29:32Speaker 1: Teraji p Henson. It was in front of a live audience,
- 29:35Speaker 1: and uh, last night, I love this. It was celebrating
- 29:39Speaker 1: black women. How beautiful was that? It was a show
- 29:43Speaker 1: I mean, and they called it culture's biggest night, you
- 29:46Speaker 1: know awards good last night. Yeah, she got the Lifetime
- 29:51Speaker 1: Achievement Awards time. The most surprising I think moment of
- 29:56Speaker 1: the show last night was Cardie B when she with
- 30:00Speaker 1: the Megoes and her husband and she let the world
- 30:04Speaker 1: know that she's pregnant again with baby number two. And
- 30:07Speaker 1: no one knew that. No one knew Curtie B was pregnant.
- 30:09Speaker 1: So that was the moment I didn't see that because
- 30:12Speaker 1: you didn't see it. Okay, did the Megoes do Avalanche?
- 30:16Speaker 1: That's something new, a Mego album? Y'all, y'all need to
- 30:19Speaker 1: keep just keep baba. What's going on? Well, you know
- 30:23Speaker 1: with Steve Awards update right, better than ring and I
- 30:30Speaker 1: know that the coming and get it. Yeah, it's gonna
- 30:35Speaker 1: go over the flood take off. I like that, Steve.
- 30:40Speaker 1: I like it. Little freestyle. No, but you you were
- 30:43Speaker 1: talking about Curtie Be revealing her pregnancy on the BT Awards.
- 30:47Speaker 1: Remember last time she was pregnant, she revealed it on
- 30:49Speaker 1: Saturday Night Live. So I think that's a thing with her.
- 30:52Speaker 1: I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah they did it before.
- 30:55Speaker 1: Yeah she didn't, but now did of the Year? Wa Steve.
- 31:03Speaker 1: Video of the Year Megan the Stallion, Yes, yes, yeah,
- 31:07Speaker 1: she won this Female Hip Artist. What you say topic? Wait,
- 31:12Speaker 1: but beautiful, beautiful, crazy? I voted, I called voted. But
- 31:20Speaker 1: here's here's the thing though, quiet They opened up with
- 31:25Speaker 1: Kirk Franklin. Yes, so the first they put him first.
- 31:37Speaker 1: Meg the Stallion performed, of course, and uh yeah she did.
- 31:45Speaker 1: She was great. Her performed her so talented. She was
- 31:48Speaker 1: playing the drums and the guitar and singing her her Her,
- 31:57Speaker 1: Her is an autist age period art period her. Yeah.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Can I just say that it was surprising to see
- 32:11Speaker 1: Maxine Water Yeah, yeah, yeah Water. She's sitting in there
- 32:17Speaker 1: like if I don't give a dale was a person
- 32:22Speaker 1: on stage? Yeah yeah. Teraji said that since we were
- 32:29Speaker 1: celebrating black women, she wanted nothing but queens in the
- 32:32Speaker 1: front row. Yea, water. They gave them flowers, roses and everything.
- 32:38Speaker 1: We gotta send out a shout out to your group,
- 32:40Speaker 1: Steve Silk Sonic. Oh yeah, to leave the door open.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Did you see that? Bruno? And yeah, it was good.
- 32:54Speaker 1: Nice tribute to Dmax Silts very much. Uh huh six
- 32:59Speaker 1: beats method. Man, it was just it was really Good's
- 33:03Speaker 1: a good show. It was a really good. Yeah. I
- 33:05Speaker 1: enjoyed it. I really did. Alright to the award. Yea,
- 33:14Speaker 1: all right, Steve, It is time now to move along
- 33:17Speaker 1: to headlines. Ladies and gentlemen, miss Anne trip, Thank you Steve.
- 33:21Speaker 1: Morning everybody. This is answered with the news in Florida,
- 33:24Speaker 1: four more bodies have been recovered from the wreckage of
- 33:27Speaker 1: that twelve story condo building in Serfside that collapsed last Thursday.
- 33:30Speaker 1: That brings the official death toll to nine, with some
- 33:33Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty people still accounting for that number,
- 33:36Speaker 1: one hundred and fifty people, they don't know what happened
- 33:39Speaker 1: to them on where they are. Miami Dave Fire Rescue
- 33:42Speaker 1: Chief Alan Kamiski says, the cruise are still listening and
- 33:45Speaker 1: holding out hope. No, our rescue teams are NonStop doing
- 33:48Speaker 1: all that we can, searching every area, every bog a
- 33:51Speaker 1: hope to see if we can find a live victim. Again,
- 33:54Speaker 1: he's saying, rescue teams and not recovery, so again they're
- 33:56Speaker 1: hoping for some live victims. There's still no word on
- 33:59Speaker 1: what caused that building to crumble, but documents reportedly revealed
- 34:03Speaker 1: that nearly three years ago, local officials were aware of
- 34:06Speaker 1: an engineering report that raised questions about the safety of
- 34:08Speaker 1: that structure. That report found major erosion in the condo's
- 34:12Speaker 1: concrete beams, especially those in the parking lot. It's not clear, though,
- 34:16Speaker 1: if any of those problems actually cited in the report
- 34:20Speaker 1: caused last week's catastrophe, but as you would expect, several
- 34:23Speaker 1: investigations are underway, as they should be. Local officials are
- 34:26Speaker 1: checking other buildings as well, not just this country, but
- 34:29Speaker 1: the world is reacting to the twenty two and a
- 34:31Speaker 1: half year sentence given to Derek Chauvin, the murderer of
- 34:34Speaker 1: George Floyd, and for the most part, the feeling is dissatisfaction,
- 34:39Speaker 1: a feeling that Chauvin deserved a longer term, especially since
- 34:42Speaker 1: the prostitutor ask for thirty years, and that with good contact,
- 34:45Speaker 1: this guy could be led out on parole in only
- 34:47Speaker 1: eight to fifteen years. By the way, for some reason,
- 34:50Speaker 1: Chauvin made this real curious statement, and this time due
- 34:52Speaker 1: there was some additional legal matters at hand. I'm not
- 34:56Speaker 1: able to give a full formal statement at this time
- 35:00Speaker 1: for briefly the law. You want to give my condolences
- 35:05Speaker 1: the Floyd family. There's going to be some other information
- 35:10Speaker 1: in the future that would be of interest, and I
- 35:13Speaker 1: hope things will give you some peace of mind. Thank you.
- 35:20Speaker 1: What information, then, what information can you bring? The family says,
- 35:24Speaker 1: I mean it was their own video anyway. The Biden
- 35:26Speaker 1: administrations fight, meanwhile, against the new Republican led laws restricting
- 35:30Speaker 1: voting now includes a lawsuit against the state of Georgia.
- 35:34Speaker 1: The US attorney Jareymeric Galland says the DJ challenging the
- 35:37Speaker 1: new Peace State law, which he says is aimed at
- 35:39Speaker 1: restricting voting by black voters. A bipartisan group, as the
- 35:42Speaker 1: US Senators lobbying this week on Capitol Hill to gain
- 35:45Speaker 1: support for a compromise infrastructure bill. They worked out and finally,
- 35:49Speaker 1: the latest Fast and Furious sequel F nine had the
- 35:51Speaker 1: best opening weekend since twenty nineteen, seventy million dollars. So
- 35:56Speaker 1: how do y'all want to play this fast? That's right? Fast?
- 36:00Speaker 1: Was it? You know? More than seventy million. That's a
- 36:03Speaker 1: lot in a single weekend. The last time that happened
- 36:05Speaker 1: with Star Wars. The Rise of Skywalker to Christmas is
- 36:07Speaker 1: a goo. F nine not only pulling the numbers of
- 36:10Speaker 1: a pandemic, but actually knows it would be decent for
- 36:12Speaker 1: pre COVID. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 36:16Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right, Come on, Steve, introduce your boy.
- 36:21Speaker 1: He is right here, ladies and gentlemen, without further dude,
- 36:24Speaker 1: j Anthony Brown, July the eighth, ninth and tens Baltimore
- 36:30Speaker 1: Comedy Club Coming at Ship. A couple of weeks ago,
- 36:33Speaker 1: I attended the Black Bikers Weekend and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
- 36:38Speaker 1: I also was made in a fishery and a fishery
- 36:42Speaker 1: Hug Penn Biker and Raleigh uff Hiller. And now I
- 36:44Speaker 1: would never say bikers are fat. I would never say
- 36:48Speaker 1: that because that would be disrespectful. But I have some
- 36:52Speaker 1: ways to know. If you are a biker and you
- 36:55Speaker 1: gained a little weight, this is just some things you
- 36:59Speaker 1: need to know. If you haven't closed your vest in years,
- 37:04Speaker 1: that's the sign right there. Okay, if you're if your chaps,
- 37:11Speaker 1: if your chaps cover your knees, you gained a little weight. Okay,
- 37:16Speaker 1: you gain Yeah, they don't even make it to you.
- 37:24Speaker 1: If your seat, if your motorcycle seat is a lazy boy,
- 37:29Speaker 1: you've picked up a little bit of weight. I'm like, yeah.
- 37:37Speaker 1: If your if your motorcycle back has six wheels on it,
- 37:42Speaker 1: you ain't a little a tiny tent. If you are
- 37:49Speaker 1: so if you're so big your girlfriend has to walk
- 37:53Speaker 1: on the side of your cop because she can't get
- 37:56Speaker 1: on the back. You picked up some way, Okay. You
- 38:00Speaker 1: if your basicle, if your if your bicycle makes the
- 38:06Speaker 1: wheeze and sound when you get your bat ass on
- 38:09Speaker 1: the seat, you gay divally. If you have that extra seat,
- 38:17Speaker 1: you know, the little mud room, sad, why have the
- 38:18Speaker 1: extra seat? And that seat is a deep friar you
- 38:23Speaker 1: have picked up. And if your name is Tom, say
- 38:36Speaker 1: your name is Tom, and the back of your vest
- 38:39Speaker 1: has your name on it, but you'll let your letters
- 38:42Speaker 1: are frendage. So far apart, all you can see is
- 38:46Speaker 1: the oak. Your ass has picked up a little weight. Okay, right,
- 38:55Speaker 1: you don't. You don't see the tea or the m
- 38:58Speaker 1: all you see is still. Oh anyway, if you are
- 39:04Speaker 1: that back, when you use a belt, you can use
- 39:09Speaker 1: your belth to tow another bicycle. You have gained a
- 39:14Speaker 1: little wait. Okay, wow, listen, listen that back because these
- 39:20Speaker 1: are just jokes. Okay, well, yes, you won't be back
- 39:24Speaker 1: down there all right, coming up in thirty four minutes
- 39:30Speaker 1: after the hour, Thank you, Jay. We'll have more about
- 39:32Speaker 1: the Beet Awards right after this you're listening show, all right, So, Carla,
- 39:40Speaker 1: we talked about the Beet Awards earlier. It was hosted
- 39:44Speaker 1: by our girl to Rag E p Henson, who did
- 39:47Speaker 1: her thing as always, no surprises there, no surprises there.
- 39:52Speaker 1: She always brings it. She was beautiful and she changed
- 39:56Speaker 1: clothes a lot and she was, you know, dedicating her
- 40:00Speaker 1: wardrobes and her outfits to different women that she admired.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Did you see her when she was dressed like Erica
- 40:05Speaker 1: by dude? Nailed? She pulled out the instance she had
- 40:13Speaker 1: Erica down. I gotta give her that. Roger is a
- 40:17Speaker 1: really good host, though, man, she want to see she
- 40:20Speaker 1: really was. She was a great host. She talked about
- 40:23Speaker 1: the culture of the political movement. You know, she said
- 40:26Speaker 1: last night, we're gonna be black a f Yeah, that's
- 40:29Speaker 1: who we are. Ye Would you ever want to do that?
- 40:34Speaker 1: Would you ever want to do that? No? No, I'm
- 40:37Speaker 1: too old for that. But he did it, you know
- 40:40Speaker 1: Jay we I mean, I mean, I mean me and
- 40:43Speaker 1: said did the first two. But we out of touch
- 40:46Speaker 1: with that culture now. So it would be I would
- 40:49Speaker 1: be up there, I wouldn't know, I wouldn't know anybody
- 40:52Speaker 1: out bought out she would, you know, Bruno Mars and
- 40:55Speaker 1: still and Ands and then. But here's the thing, I'm
- 41:13Speaker 1: sorry now I look too frustrated with stuff I don't
- 41:16Speaker 1: know and understand. They would never ask me to host it, No,
- 41:20Speaker 1: they would. I'm not. I'm not that guy. They all
- 41:23Speaker 1: know you. That's the thing I mean you know, I
- 41:25Speaker 1: come out there as Uncle Steve. I could do a
- 41:27Speaker 1: little bit piece, but that'd be it. I can't really
- 41:30Speaker 1: do that major with BT, you know. So I could
- 41:34Speaker 1: see them honoring you though, I could see that. Yeah, yeah,
- 41:38Speaker 1: lifetime achieving a lifetime. Yeah, I'm not sure that they
- 41:44Speaker 1: would honor me though not Bet, I don't what would
- 41:47Speaker 1: I ain't in music. But you know, everybody, the honor
- 41:52Speaker 1: is in music. But you like music. You are got
- 41:58Speaker 1: some albums. Yeah, you like New York. Yeah, yeah, you think, well,
- 42:07Speaker 1: you are music. You saw the Versus Battle that you're hosting.
- 42:10Speaker 1: You are music, sir, right, yep, yep, yep. So the
- 42:14Speaker 1: BT Awards was given. It was really good. It was
- 42:19Speaker 1: I did. I enjoyed it to Roger p Henson, some
- 42:22Speaker 1: of the winners making the stallus female Artists. Uh, let's
- 42:27Speaker 1: see little Nasax. He performed her again. She killed it.
- 42:32Speaker 1: She is so freaking talented that girl is. It is
- 42:36Speaker 1: just all of that. Let's not forget what. Let's not
- 42:38Speaker 1: forget that. Yeah you want to shout out video of
- 42:40Speaker 1: the Year, why, y yep, yep, Yeah, it was all good.
- 42:45Speaker 1: Revealed her pregnancy baby number two. Culture will have a
- 42:50Speaker 1: brother or sister. Now yep, in congratulations to Cardi B.
- 42:54Speaker 1: Little Kim was in the house putting it down. Is
- 42:58Speaker 1: Cardi B. I'm not sure how old Cardi B is, Steve,
- 43:03Speaker 1: watch this right here? How old is Cardi B? This
- 43:08Speaker 1: is why you can't host the B Cardi B is
- 43:12Speaker 1: twenty eight. I'll look at you. You better get your job. Yeah,
- 43:20Speaker 1: but it was good though, glad we had a chance
- 43:23Speaker 1: to watch it. It was culture's biggest night, as they said,
- 43:26Speaker 1: it really was. Yeah. And Andrew Day. Don't forget about
- 43:30Speaker 1: Andrew Day winning Best Actress for her role in the
- 43:34Speaker 1: Billy Holliday movie The United States Versus Billy Holliday. Yeah,
- 43:38Speaker 1: she won. She should have won every award that they
- 43:42Speaker 1: gave out this year. Yeah, she deserved it. Yeah, including
- 43:45Speaker 1: but she got the Beet Awards and the award. And
- 43:48Speaker 1: I'm sure she is lovely with that because I was. Yeah,
- 43:52Speaker 1: because she deserved that award. She really did. It's something
- 43:55Speaker 1: about when your own culture, your own people salute, yes, yours,
- 44:00Speaker 1: your peers, Yeah, your people, Yes, these are people. And
- 44:04Speaker 1: quickly before we run out of time. I did see
- 44:06Speaker 1: some of the versus Battle Soldier Boy in bow Wow,
- 44:09Speaker 1: very energetic music from the two thousand era was a

- 51:10Speaker 1: as long as I'm owning up to that. As long
- 51:12Speaker 1: as stupid is the key, I haven't a doubt it's
- 51:17Speaker 1: it's it's not the key coming, it's just what we
- 51:21Speaker 1: it's it's just what we stuck with. Now. I resent
- 51:26Speaker 1: that now what I do and I rejected with you,
- 51:29Speaker 1: I'm totally thank you. Well, you know you you you
- 51:32Speaker 1: hit two times a week so that when I'm here,
- 51:36Speaker 1: your vote is so limited. You just like black people
- 51:39Speaker 1: was in the Constitution. You three films, I see my
- 51:46Speaker 1: three fishes. I disrespect what you said. I don't. Well,
- 51:50Speaker 1: now you had it. It stands to be true, though
- 51:54Speaker 1: what you got to say. Carl Sherbon, I was just

- 54:03Speaker 1: We got a four ye here it is this scrow
- 54:05Speaker 1: Mary Alana subject. I didn't know there was side piece etiquette.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm a thirty four year old woman,
- 54:12Speaker 1: and in my past I messed up with a man
- 54:15Speaker 1: that was married and I was living my best single life.
- 54:19Speaker 1: I was getting what I needed as far as money
- 54:21Speaker 1: in great sex when my married man and a few
- 54:23Speaker 1: other men I had on the side. Hey, I was
- 54:26Speaker 1: young and enjoying myself. I kept it classy and I
- 54:29Speaker 1: made sure my reputation state intact. I was in the
- 54:33Speaker 1: clubs and short dresses and heels every weekend. Me and
- 54:36Speaker 1: my girls took nice trips, and I was in a
- 54:38Speaker 1: music video for a wrapper that was a one hit
- 54:41Speaker 1: wonder just two years ago. I was still with my
- 54:45Speaker 1: married man when I met my husband. That's when I
- 54:49Speaker 1: ended the affair. I met my husband at a church
- 54:53Speaker 1: festival that my mother invited me to. We fell in
- 54:56Speaker 1: love rather quickly, and he proposed after dating for less
- 54:59Speaker 1: than a year. He is a straight laced, handsome and
- 55:02Speaker 1: well dressed man. We both have great jobs in finance,
- 55:06Speaker 1: so we're a little power couple. I cleaned up my
- 55:09Speaker 1: act for him, and I dressed more conservatively and I
- 55:11Speaker 1: very and I rarely wear weaves and wigs anymore. I
- 55:14Speaker 1: only drink wine. I stopped smoking cigars, and I don't
- 55:19Speaker 1: use profanity. I only drink wine. Like I said, it
- 55:23Speaker 1: was easy for me to change my ways because I
- 55:25Speaker 1: did all of my sinning when I was younger. He
- 55:28Speaker 1: has no idea about my past, and I I told
- 55:33Speaker 1: him my body count was only four men. So here's
- 55:37Speaker 1: my problem. My ex married man slash side piece is
- 55:42Speaker 1: divorced now and he's been calling me a lot, begging
- 55:46Speaker 1: for sex. I'm scared to block him because I think
- 55:50Speaker 1: he might do something stupid. He said I need to
- 55:53Speaker 1: learn side piece etiquette, and according to that, I owe
- 55:57Speaker 1: him since he did it for me when he was married.
- 55:59Speaker 1: What am I supposed to do? Do I owe him
- 56:01Speaker 1: more sex? Please help now, and you don't have to
- 56:05Speaker 1: do anything. You're married now, Please go on and live
- 56:08Speaker 1: your life with you with your husband. And since your
- 56:11Speaker 1: raggedy X brought up etiquette, please tell him he needs
- 56:15Speaker 1: to learn to leave you the blank alone etiquette. Okay,
- 56:18Speaker 1: stop calling you, and you could block him. You could
- 56:21Speaker 1: definitely block him, forget about him. You know, as if
- 56:25Speaker 1: the world was supposed to stop, and you know, you
- 56:27Speaker 1: were supposed to wait on the side until he got
- 56:29Speaker 1: a divorce or whatever. Now life goes on. You definitely
- 56:33Speaker 1: weren't sitting around waiting for him to call. You were
- 56:35Speaker 1: living your life, your grown lifestyle now with your new husband,
- 56:40Speaker 1: who is a wonderful man who proposed to you during
- 56:43Speaker 1: that time you said yes, period the end. You guys
- 56:45Speaker 1: are married. Don't let your past, you know, because of
- 56:49Speaker 1: your past, Don't let it make you act out of
- 56:51Speaker 1: fear you're afraid your ex might do something stupid. Let
- 56:54Speaker 1: him what can he do? I mean, really, what is
- 56:57Speaker 1: he gonna do? Tell your husband you guys used to
- 56:59Speaker 1: kick it and so what I mean, he knows you've
- 57:02Speaker 1: been in relationships before him talking about your husband now,
- 57:05Speaker 1: I don't think your husband is gonna put up with
- 57:07Speaker 1: it anyway. I mean, you were young and single, like
- 57:09Speaker 1: you said, and freeback then you could do whatever you
- 57:12Speaker 1: wanted to do. I mean, yeah, it was with the merryman, now,
- 57:15Speaker 1: is that right? You know the answer to that. Nobody's
- 57:18Speaker 1: judging you, and that part of your life is over.
- 57:20Speaker 1: So don't allow him to draw you back in because
- 57:23Speaker 1: you're scared he might do something stupid. Just block him,
- 57:26Speaker 1: stop answering his calls, tell him it's over all right,
- 57:29Speaker 1: and it is Steve Well. Interesting letter. The subject alone.
- 57:36Speaker 1: I didn't know that was side piece etiquette. I have
- 57:39Speaker 1: a surprise for you at the end of this letter. So,
- 57:42Speaker 1: young lady, please pay attention very closely. You're thirty four.
- 57:48Speaker 1: You messed around with a man that was married, and
- 57:52Speaker 1: then you said something interesting. I was living my best
- 57:56Speaker 1: single life. I was getting what I needed as far
- 57:59Speaker 1: as money and great sex from my married man and
- 58:02Speaker 1: a few other men I had on the side. Hey,
- 58:05Speaker 1: I was young and enjoying myself. Now, okay, okay, that's
- 58:10Speaker 1: the setup now where we start to get into what
- 58:14Speaker 1: the letters about. I kept it classy. I made sure
- 58:17Speaker 1: my reputation stayed intact. I was in the clubs and
- 58:21Speaker 1: short dresses and heels every weekend. Me and my girls
- 58:24Speaker 1: took nice trips, and I was in a music video
- 58:26Speaker 1: with a rapper that was a one hit wonder just
- 58:29Speaker 1: two years ago. I was still with my married man.
- 58:34Speaker 1: When I met my husband, that's when I ended the affair. Now,
- 58:39Speaker 1: let me go over something with you. When you say
- 58:41Speaker 1: you kept it classy and made sure your reputation stayed intact,
- 58:45Speaker 1: let me tell you this. Here's the problem with sin.
- 58:50Speaker 1: And I'm not gonna tell you now, but I'm gonna
- 58:53Speaker 1: tell you in a little while. But you don't ever
- 58:56Speaker 1: get to keep it as clean as you think ever.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I met my husband at a church festival. Your mother
- 59:04Speaker 1: invited me too. We fell in love quickly. He proposed,
- 59:07Speaker 1: he's handsome, well dressed. We've got great jobs and finance
- 59:10Speaker 1: with a little power couple. I cleaned up my act
- 59:12Speaker 1: for him, and I dressed more conservatively and I rarely
- 59:15Speaker 1: wear weaves and wigs anymore. I only drank wine, I
- 59:19Speaker 1: stopped smoking cigars, and I don't use profanity. It was
- 59:23Speaker 1: easy for me to change my ways because I did
- 59:25Speaker 1: all my sinning when I was younger. He has no
- 59:29Speaker 1: idea about my past. I told him my body count
- 59:31Speaker 1: was only four mien and then she gets ready to go.
- 59:34Speaker 1: So here's my problem. I would take my applause and
- 59:39Speaker 1: give it to you. When you held on to the
- 59:42Speaker 1: fact that your body count was fue mien. Okay, that's good,
- 59:47Speaker 1: keep it there. My number is three for women, and
- 59:53Speaker 1: I don't care how you are. He was three, but
- 59:56Speaker 1: since it's two thousand and twenty one, you might go
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: with foul and we'll keep that to Max's numbers because
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: she can get away with folk since she was wilding foe.
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: Is it okay? And when we come back, I'm gonna
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: give you my resolution for you, all right? So hang right, man, well,
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: hang on. Steve will have part two of his response
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: coming up at twenty three minutes after the hours. Subject
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: I didn't know there was a side piece etiquette. We'll
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening to
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: morning show, all right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: Strawberry letters. Subject I didn't know there was side piece etiquette. Yeah,
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: and it ain't. And this guy that's been lying to
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: you this whole time, and you've been lying to yourself
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: a little bit. And I hate to tell you this,
- 1:00:50Speaker 1: but your thirty four, when you were younger, you was
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: doing some wild and you slept with the married. Then
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: you was married man. You was getting all you wanted, money,
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: great sex and everything. You had a few other men
- 1:00:59Speaker 1: on the side. But you said you was living your
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: best life, and you said I was keeping a classymate
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: shooting my reputation stayed in tact. Well, that's so you thought.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: And then you know, using a music video, that's no problem.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: They took nice trips, ain't no problem. Using club short
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: addressing and heels. We every day. That's life if it happens.
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: But just two years ago, I was still with my
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: married man. When I met my husband. That's when I
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: ended the affair. I met your husband at church festival,
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: fell in love. I've got great jobs. You dressed because
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: servingly now you wear very rarely wear weeds and wigs.
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: You only drank wine stops because cigars. I don't use profaning.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: Easy for you to change ways because I did all
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: the city when I was younger, I ain't. He has
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: no idea about my past. I told him my body
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: account was only four men. That's where you do it,
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: smart lady. Keep it there, congratulations, keep it at four
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: three years my number. But you said for now, so
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: we just leave it at fall. So here's my problem.
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: My ex married man's side piece is divorced now and
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: he's been calling me a lot. Okay, so begging for sex.
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: I'm scared to block him because I think he might
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: do something stupid. Well, let me ask you something. First
- 1:02:20Speaker 1: of all, you can't be surprised about this that he's divorced,
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: and you probably know why he got divorced, right because
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: you probably wasn't the only one. But now I'm scared
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: to block him because I think he might do something stupid.
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: And what stupid is he gonna do? Huh? What stupid
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: thing is he gonna do? Because you know you have
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: a husband, you have a way to circumvent all stupidity,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: you really do so. And then he told you that
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: you need to learn some side piece etiquette. And according
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: to that, I owe him since he did it for
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: me when he was married. First of all, there is
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: no such thing as you owe me since I did
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: it for you since I was married. Oh, this real
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: slick pardoner. I appreciate that, love it great, great, But
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: there's no such thing, young lady. You don't owe him
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: a damn thing and such of all, don't let this
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: dude blackmail you. You said, what am I supposed to do? Now?
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: Do I owe him more sex? No, you don't. You
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: don't owe him a drop you have a life now,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: and you can't give up your life because this butt
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: hold and showed back up. And if I were you,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: first of all, block him. What are you gonna do?
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: Tell your husband? Well, let me give you the solution
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: to that. First of all, you told your husband that
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: your body count was for, so he was in the
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: body count and he was the last one. Now he's
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: gonna tell your husband and what she was messing with
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: me while I was married. Then you know what I
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: want you to say, I didn't know you were married. Period.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: Men do it all the time. Your husband will believe you,
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: and then inform your husband that he's been calling you
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: trying to steal you back. Oh, I got to out
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: for you. You ain't got to worry about it. He's done.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: He can't do nothing. But now let me share something
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: with you young ladies, so you can understand what I've
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: had to understand and so many other people. The problem
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: with like because you said, you know, you kept it
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: classy and made sure your reputation was intact. And that's
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: what you said. Here's the problem with past sins and regrets.
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: Past sins and regrets, even if when you were living
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: them with no regrets. As you age, your past sins
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: come up with regrets, and they show up at the
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: most inopportune moments, and this is one. So let me
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: help you understand this again. All of our past sins,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: even though when we're having them at the moment, we
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: think is a okay. But as you age, your past
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: sins show up not only as sins but regrets. Those
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: are the lessons we learned. So while you even though
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: thought you were keeping it classy and guarding your reputation,
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: here's a guy that's willing to bring it back up
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: because he was a part of that past. So everybody
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: just understand, we all have a pass, We've all make mistakes.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: We're not judging you. I just want everybody that's listening
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: to this to understand that it can come up again.
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: It really can, even though it's an old for seeing
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: and it's too bad. But don't let nobody hold you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: to your pass, nobody. Don't let nobody do that to you,
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: including him. When you've moved on and moved forward and
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you got yourself together, gone about your business. That's right, bye.
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: And I wish he would. What are you gonna do?
- 1:06:20Speaker 1: Block him? Quit talking to him? You don't owe him
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: a damn thing. Tell him to go get something else,
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: Go get the chick that got him to divorce. She
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: out there, all right, Steve, Thank you. Post your comments
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: on today's Strawberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on Instagram
- 1:06:37Speaker 1: and Facebook, and check out the Strawberry Letter podcast on
- 1:06:40Speaker 1: demand now. Coming up at forty six minutes after the hour,
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: we'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show with
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Junior and Sports Talk right after this. You're listening Steve
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. All right, time now for Sports Talk
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: with Junior. What you got Junior? Okay, Shirley, listen. I'm
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: say this and um over the weekend, I just want

- 1:07:09Speaker 1: I'm just gonna I'm not gonna watch this one no more.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: I'm just gonna says in the finals, serious man, Yeah yeah,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: Well you saw how they were playing. Let's just go
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: ahead and say, hey, let's go Suns in the finals.
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: They are already there. Get that up right now. But
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: I didn't want to shout out to this though. This
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: is so crazy. I want to give a shout out
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: to all the track and field and swimming and all
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: the Olympic athletes that's out of the state of Texas
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: and the women, the women behind me, the athletes from
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: the from Texas or women. Let me show you the list.

- 1:07:46Speaker 1: and field, Simone Manual from Sugarland, Texas swimming, Yea and
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: Nika McPherson from Port Arth, Texas track and field, Jasmine

- 1:08:00Speaker 1: from Midland, Texas swimming, Tamera Stock from Katie Texas wrestling,
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: yield An Ariel Atkins Texas basketball, and then you also
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: have Britney Grinder from Houston, Texas and basketball. That's all
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: of the women that's in right out in the living,
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: all of them from Texas. Man, that got a lot
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: of black girl magic right there. Now. We also saw this,
- 1:08:25Speaker 1: Uh did you see the fight this weekend? Big done?
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Oh my gosh, Javonte Tank Davis against Mario Barrels. Yeah,
- 1:08:37Speaker 1: and I'm talking about Timmy. It was one of those things, man,
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: eleventh round knockout. Yeah, man, I'm gonna tell you right now,
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: anytime you hit the canvas three times, Yes, sir, Javonte
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: Davis showed up in Atlanta. He is now twenty five
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: and oh with twenty four KOs. I don't know whoever
- 1:08:58Speaker 1: the one person that made it out that fight that
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: didn't get knocked out. Congratulations to you, because everybody else
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: he putting on the campus. I'm just saying, I love it.
- 1:09:08Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's that's his third title. That's all
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: I was taken. I'm trying to find out, like what
- 1:09:13Speaker 1: weight class is one forty that's uh super lightweight now,
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: and you know you can try to call it what
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: you want because you ain't in the fight game welterweight
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: and I don't have to be in the fight game
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: to congratulations everybody in the hood then walk to wait.
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: Congratulations man man, All right, thank you, Junior. Shout out
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: to Atlanta too, right, Yeah, the Hawks? All right, coming up,
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: We'll have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show at
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: twenty minutes after. Right after this, you're listening to Morning
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: Show X. Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin was sentenced to twenty
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: two and a half years for the murder of George
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: Floyd and and being found guilty of second degree murder,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: unintentional murder, third degree murder, and second degree manslaughter. He
- 1:10:06Speaker 1: spoke of the sentencing and gave his condolences to the
- 1:10:09Speaker 1: Floyd family, but he showed no remorse. Chauvin now faces
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: federal civil rights charges related to Floyd's death, as well
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: as a separate incident in which he hit a fourteen
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: year old boy with a flashlight and knelt on his
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: back for seventeen minutes. We are still waiting on Congress
- 1:10:28Speaker 1: Yes to pass the George Floyd Policing Act. This act
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: prohibits federal, state, and local law enforcement from racial, religious,
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: and discriminatory profiling and mandates on training. Now, why is
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: that so hard to pass? You got a habit, it
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: is done well. The reason it is so hard to
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: pass is because we live in a society that will
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: not admit to, and never will admit to, systemic racism.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: And that's all this is. It's a way to maintain
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: a level of control with systemic racism. They are still
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: trying to find a way to allow police to continue
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: to police without ramifications as they've always been able to police.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: Now the twenty two years I was disappointed in the
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: number of years, but then because I know black people
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: who have gotten far more for nowhere near murder jackets
- 1:11:32Speaker 1: and selling weed and stolen property. And you know, so
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: I do I do understand that. I was, however, enlightened
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: or encouraged with the fact that a policeman got that
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: much time for killing a black man, because I ain't
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: never seen them get nothing before. I ain't never seen
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: them get nothing. She got ten and that was now
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: that was trifling because you walk up and it was nothing.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: This man answered his dough and you killed him. That's
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: the That was a damn shame, all of the atrocities.
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: But now I think the three officers that remained in
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: the George Floyd death, they are going to play a
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: pivotal role in this also because that's going to send
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: a message not only to the police officer that's the
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: perpetrator of the crime, but the police officers that are
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: consider themselves innocent bystanders when you're being paid to uphold
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: the law also. So I find that to be really
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: quite interesting what's going to happen to them. And I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: know a lot of people are disheartened by the verdict
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: and don't like the number of years at all, and
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: you have every right to feel that way. But at
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: the same time, I feel or some sense of relief
- 1:13:02Speaker 1: that something has happened to them, and I'm I mean,
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: I'm fine that something has happened. I'm really really cool
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: with that. We didn't ask for June Team. I mean,
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: some people did, but they gave us that in place
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: of it, and we can't. We can't get food by
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: what's really going on because they they want to get
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: control of this situation. Because listen to me, they are
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: slowly I mean like they've always. They want the minority
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: to control the majority. That's all the Republican Party is about.
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: They want conservatism to rule over anything that's liberal or
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: left wing, and they want this country to be considered
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: a conservative country. But in your conservatism, it's too much
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: damn racism for me. So that's why you can keep
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: your little monkey ass conservatism because it's too much racism
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: in it for me. And you mask it with religion
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: in the Bible and stuff like that. But you had
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: you that's all propped up because you just this is
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: systemic racism. Anybody falling for it. You can take all
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: the evangelicals and all that they be voting against stuff
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: for black people simply cause they over there saying pro
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: they pro life and ain't. Well, what about pro life
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: for black people that's already born? Yeah, so why are
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: you protecting the unborn? How about the ones that's already born?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: When we're gonna get some protection? So the whole evangelical
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: thing can miss me? Amen to that. More of the
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: Dutch Mark Today's trending stories of the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: Twenty minutes after the hour, we'll be back. You're listening
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: to show. Well, guys, talk about doing your job. The
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: bouncer at New York's Barcade just made it clear that
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: you definitely need ID to get in, no matter who
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: you are. And this comes after he refused to let
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: Rihanna in the door. Idiot, Okay, we're talking Rihanna. Okay,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: worldwide star Rihanna, superstar Rihanna was Rihanna, I should say,
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: was out and about with Asap Rocky, her boyfriend, and
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: she forgot her ID. Despite her and Rocky best efforts
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: to convince the security guard that they are of age,
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: the bouncer told them that they didn't know who they were,
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: and they would not be getting in without identification. Man,
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: he overdid his job. I mean, I appreciate it. I
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: don't know who Asap Rocky, but I damn sho know
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: who Rihanna is and everybody with her getting me? Yeah,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: you don't know, And I'd have just looked at Asap
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: and figured, okay, Yeah, you know, Jay, you talk about
- 1:15:55Speaker 1: security guards with clipbod the worst day of the world
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: is a neat rode with a clip And when he
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: can speak into his shoulder, you ain't getting in Rihanna.
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: We're form the C. Harvey Morning Show coming up in
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour. Right after this, you're
- 1:16:23Speaker 1: listening to Sting Show. Last night, the b ET Awards
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: happened in Los Angeles. It was hosted by our girl,
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: Teraji p Henson. It was in front of a live audience. Yeah,
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: and uh last night, I love this. It was celebrating
- 1:16:41Speaker 1: black women. How beautiful was that? It was a touch show.
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: I mean, you know what was the first show was
- 1:16:47Speaker 1: bad guys, you know, like Shirley said a live audience. Um,
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: and they called it culture's biggest night, you know, the
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: good last night, Yeah, she got the Lifetime Achievement Awards time.
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: The most surprising I think moments of the show last
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: night was Cardie B when she famed with the Megoes
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: and her husband and she let the world know that
- 1:17:11Speaker 1: she's pregnant again with baby number two. And no one
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: knew that. No one knew Cardi B was pregnant. So
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: that was the moment last I didn't see that because
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: you didn't see it. Okay, did the Megoes do Avalanche?
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I don't know what. That's the new a mego album? Y'all,
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: y'all need to kill just keep up. What's going on? Well,
- 1:17:33Speaker 1: you know with Steve Awards updated thing better than than
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: Red and I know that coming in get it over
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: the flood take off. I like that, Steve. I like it,
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: little freestyle. But you you were talking about Curtie B
- 1:17:54Speaker 1: revealing her pregnancy on the BT Awards. Remember last time
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: she was pregnant, she revealed it on set Today Night Live,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: So I think that's a thing with her. I think, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: yeah yeah she did. But now video of the Year,
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: wo Steve. Video of the Year Megan the Stallion. Yes, yes, crazy,
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: I voted, I voted. But here's here's the thing, though,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: they opened up with Kirk Franklin. Yes, so the first
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: they put him first. Meg the Stallion performed of course,
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: and uh yeah she did. She was great, her performed
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: her so talented. She was playing the drums and the
- 1:18:54Speaker 1: guitar and singing her her is an artist boy a period,
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: our period. Yeah. Can I just say that it was
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: surprising to see Maxine Water. Yeah, yeah, she's sitting in
- 1:19:16Speaker 1: there like if I don't give a day was a
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: person coming up? It is our last break of the day.
- 1:19:27Speaker 1: It's the last break of the day. Free Brittany, Free Brittany.
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: That's all I gotta say. And coming up in forty
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: nine minutes after the hour, of course, we'll have some
- 1:19:37Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey, our
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: fearless leader right after this. You're listening to show all right,
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: here we are our last break of the day on
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: this Monday. It's been a good day, good Monday. Yeah,
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: M had fun to day week, new week, brand new week.
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: M M yep. And Steve, I don't know, you know,
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: I don't really know if I have an established closing remark.
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: It's just that I would like to say something to sisters,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: just to the women out there. I appreciate you. I
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: appreciate the women that hold it down, the women that
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: are out there in corporate America, the single mothers out
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: there that have such a daunting and thankless jobs at times.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: All the women out there who are working hard and
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: striving hard to put their best foot forward to do
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: the best. To the women out there that's supporting their men,
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: For the women out there that is being supported by men,
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: by the women out there that's out there got to
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: do it on their own. For those of you that's
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: out there trying to present the right image and everything
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: when you when you go out the door. Look, you know,
- 1:20:57Speaker 1: I don't have a lot to say about this bonnet thing,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: but I was watching the BET Awards last night and
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: they tried to do like a joke about the bonnet
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: and bonnet shaming and when a women gonna be allowed
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to do what they want to do. And I just
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: want to say to the ones that do care about
- 1:21:12Speaker 1: the way you look when you go out in public,
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: that it is noticed by some kings, and that they
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: are still men who are kings who do appreciate it,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: and who do still honor you, and who still value
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: the way you care for yourself and take care of yourself.
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: I'm not bonnet shaming or nothing like that. You do
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: like you want to do, because obviously if somebody try
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: to tell you something different, then y'all just light into
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: them like they didn't set you on fire. So you
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: ain't got to come at me with none of that
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: because once again, Uncle Steve just gonna say you could
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: do like you want to do. But let me just
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: commend with everything that's in me, the women out there
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: that understand how important it is to have an image
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: when you walk out the door. Who come from a
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: culture of we looked our best, when we present ourselves
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: in our best way that we were raised to go
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: outside and put your best foot forward. That's the culture
- 1:22:12Speaker 1: I remember coming from. Now, if you all have changed
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: it once again, that's your business, but it don't stop
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: us from being proud of the ones who still holding
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: it down, who got their best foot forward. And I'm sorry,
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: it's just important. Look, let me just look at myself
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: when I go out the door. Man, I try to
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: have us So now, if I'm around my house, that's
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: one thing, but when I go out in public, it's
- 1:22:41Speaker 1: I'm a brand. I'm a walking, breathing, living brand. I can't.
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: I have to be a certain way. I ain't always
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: at my level best, but I ain't ever putting myself
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: out there in public where people can take shots at me.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: And I'm just a man, and I'm married, and I
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: have a life already, and I have someone that loves me,
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: and I have somebody that I love, and I already
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: got a family. I ain't on the market, I ain't single.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: I ain't hoping to get chose. I've already got it.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: But I still care about how I look when I
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: walk out that door. And once again, you can do
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: like you wanna do. Man, Uncle Steve. Ain't trying to
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: tell you nothing, but I'm giving a big hand clap
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: to the women out there who walk around and put
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: effort into looking like queens. From king to queen, I
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: want to say thank you. Keep on doing his sisters,
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: because there are those of us who admire that, there
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: are those of us who acknowledge it, and there are
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: those of us who respect it. And I appreciate anybody
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: that puts their best foot forward to just try to
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: hold up a certain level of dignity and imagery and
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: honor when they go out the door. And that's all
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: I wanted to say once again in I ain't bonnet shaming.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: You can do like you want to do, because I'd
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: have seen what you do to people who try to
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: drop a little knowledge your way. So I ain't gonna
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: do that no more, you know what? And because and
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: one of the big reasons is because of what Dion
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: Saying has told me one time. He says, Steve, stop
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: throwing life rafts to people swimming away from the boat. See,
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: And Dean had to really tell me that because I
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: was trying to throw a life raft to people swimming
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: away from the boat. So for those of you that's
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: swimming away from the boat, swim. For those of you
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: that that that that didn't like the stuff I said
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: about sleeping too many hours, I like, take naps, go
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: to bed, sleep ten hours, sleep twelve hours. Knock yourself out, man,
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: do you Uncle Steve ain't throwing normal life rafts to
- 1:24:53Speaker 1: nobody swimming away from the boat. But to those of
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: you that's trying to be successful and trying to have
- 1:24:59Speaker 1: an extraordinary life, I'm gonna say again to you, it's
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: gonna take an extraordinary effort, and it ain't nothing regular
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: about having an extraordinary life. So if you think you
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: can sleep a regular day's night, sleep like everybody else,
- 1:25:13Speaker 1: and you think you are have an extraordinary life, good
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: luck to you. Let me write your book when you
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: get it done. So once again, to the sisters out
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: there that is holding it down, that's walking out the house,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: that's making yourself as presentable as you can, even though
- 1:25:26Speaker 1: it takes extra time and it's hard, there are some
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: kings out there who appreciate you so and I'm sending
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: out a big hand clap and one last time. If
- 1:25:35Speaker 1: you don't care how you look, then neither do I.
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: And I ain't even talking to you. I'm just talking
- 1:25:42Speaker 1: to Shirley, Carla and Mississippi Monica, the women that come
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: on this zoom every day and present their self in
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: a fashion, And to every other sister that does the
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: same thing in your life. Uncle Steve appreciates it. Those
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: are my clothes belongs today. Don't call me on my email,
- 1:26:00Speaker 1: don't do hit none of my none of my social
