- 0:00Speaker 1: Today, we have the largest economy on Earth. We have
- 0:04Speaker 1: the strongest military on Earth. We have the most powerful
- 0:08Speaker 1: technology on Earth. We have the greatest culture on Earth,
- 0:13Speaker 1: and above all, we have the greatest people on Earth.
- 0:17Speaker 2: Greatest you're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with
- 0:23Speaker 2: Ben ferguson.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Good Thursday morning. Nice to have you with us on
- 0:26Speaker 1: the forty seven Morning Update, and We've got two big
- 0:28Speaker 1: stories for you. First up, Operation Riptide. It is ripping
- 0:33Speaker 1: into fraud and now we have some of the biggest
- 0:36Speaker 1: fraud catches so far, all because of President Donald Trump's leadership. Also,
- 0:41Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom, he has no problem attacking the President in
- 0:45Speaker 1: the White House, but now the media seems to be
- 0:47Speaker 1: looking the other way on some of his serious legal problems.
- 0:51Speaker 1: We explain it to you, but before we get to that,
- 0:54Speaker 1: I want to take a moment and ask you to
- 0:56Speaker 1: help the people in Israel with my friends at the
- 0:58Speaker 1: IFCJ working right now on the ground for all those
- 1:02Speaker 1: in need. From America's revolutionary war to Israel's fight for
- 1:07Speaker 1: survival in nineteen forty eight, both nations have faced moments
- 1:11Speaker 1: that tested their courage, yet freedom endured. In October of
- 1:15Speaker 1: nineteen eighty five, President Ronald Reagan delivered these remarks about
- 1:19Speaker 1: America's commitment to stand with Israel.
- 1:22Speaker 3: In our talks, we paid special attention to two issues,
- 1:25Speaker 3: our commitment to Israel's security and well being and our
- 1:28Speaker 3: shared desire to move forward together toward a just and
- 1:31Speaker 3: lasting peace between Israel and all its Arab neighbors. A strong,
- 1:34Speaker 3: secure Israel is a shared interest.
- 1:37Speaker 1: As Americas celebrates its two hundred and fiftieth anniversary, the
- 1:41Speaker 1: International Fellowship of Christians and Jews reflects on the friendship
- 1:45Speaker 1: between the United States and Israel, two democracies built on faith, liberty,
- 1:50Speaker 1: and hope. Sign up to receive a free USA Israel

- 2:05Speaker 1: forty seven Morning Update and it starts right now.
- 2:08Speaker 2: Story number one.
- 2:09Speaker 1: All right, I want to take you back in time
- 2:10Speaker 1: for a moment. Remember Donald Trump when he was running
- 2:12Speaker 1: for president, he said, Hey, if you elect me, I'm
- 2:14Speaker 1: gonna get rid of waste, fraud and abuse. I'm going
- 2:16Speaker 1: to clean house and the swamp and the deep state,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and I'm going to find great Americans who actually serve
- 2:22Speaker 1: the interest of the president's agenda, which you guys are
- 2:25Speaker 1: voting for. Well, here's another example of that campaign promise
- 2:31Speaker 1: paying off big time. The FBI has busted now several
- 2:35Speaker 1: fraud schemes across the country in the last few weeks,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the FBI Director Cash Battel said in the latest weekly
- 2:42Speaker 1: update to the agency. Patel highlighted some of the results
- 2:47Speaker 1: of Operation Riptide Now that operation focused on criminal actors
- 2:52Speaker 1: and the key services they rely on, as well as
- 2:55Speaker 1: their infrastructure, their tools, and their services, and their communication
- 2:59Speaker 1: platforms and then their money. FBI Cleveland, for instance, disrupted
- 3:04Speaker 1: a Chinese fishing platform link to the theft of millions
- 3:08Speaker 1: of credit card numbers and nearly and this is the
- 3:12Speaker 1: part that again this goes back to Chinese and why
- 3:14Speaker 1: you don't want to trust them with things like AI
- 3:16Speaker 1: nearly one point nine billion dollars and losses worldwide. I
- 3:20Speaker 1: didn't say one point nine million. I said one point
- 3:23Speaker 1: nine billion dollars and losses worldwide. Cash Ptel has now
- 3:29Speaker 1: revealed now as a result of these efforts of the FBI,
- 3:32Speaker 1: just in Charlotte, they said, two individuals were convicted for
- 3:35Speaker 1: operating a business email compromise scheme that stole twenty five
- 3:40Speaker 1: million alone from US companies. Thanks to FBI Boston, our
- 3:45Speaker 1: Cyber Division and international partners, we helped dismantle a VPN
- 3:51Speaker 1: service used to buy ransomware groups around the world. He said.
- 3:55Speaker 1: This exactly what Operation Riptide is about, targeting the cyber
- 3:59Speaker 1: criminal eco system at every level, and we're just getting
- 4:02Speaker 1: started now. Fraudsters have also been targeted by the FBI.
- 4:07Speaker 1: In Los Angeles, for instance, an Orange County man was
- 4:10Speaker 1: arrested for carrying out a nearly one hundred million dollar
- 4:15Speaker 1: bank fraud scheme. This, according to Patel, thanks to the FBI. Milwaukee,
- 4:19Speaker 1: Wisconsin man also plead to go to to frauding nearly
- 4:21Speaker 1: one hundred ninety investors out of more than fourteen million dollars.
- 4:25Speaker 1: Then out of New Orleans, a texasman was indicted for
- 4:28Speaker 1: running a four million dollar investment fraud scam. The victimized
- 4:32Speaker 1: more than twenty people, he said, noting that a Texas
- 4:35Speaker 1: couple had also been indicted for stealing more than two
- 4:38Speaker 1: point five million dollars from vulnerable victims through a year
- 4:42Speaker 1: long like fraud scheme. Thinks, they said to FBI Seattle.
- 4:49Speaker 1: They also said that fraud scheme was a psychic fraud scheme,
- 4:52Speaker 1: so again praying on week, Patel added, the FBI Pittsburgh
- 4:57Speaker 1: also announced charges against an Ohio woman cues of embezzling
- 5:00Speaker 1: more than four hundred and sixty thousand dollars from a
- 5:03Speaker 1: law firm that she was working at as a pair
- 5:05Speaker 1: legal Seven other individuals, for example, in Las Vegas, were
- 5:10Speaker 1: arrested for exploiting coronavirus relief programs. You also go all
- 5:15Speaker 1: the way up to Alaska where an individual there was
- 5:18Speaker 1: sentenced to prison for defrauding those programs as well. Now,
- 5:21Speaker 1: the FBI also targeted violent criminals taking illegal weapons off
- 5:26Speaker 1: the streets. In Birmingham, for example, they had a Operation
- 5:30Speaker 1: Safer Communities result in thirty six arrests and seizure of
- 5:34Speaker 1: eleven firearms is part of Summer Heat two point zero,
- 5:37Speaker 1: and after a separate seven week enforcement effort, FBI Birmingham
- 5:41Speaker 1: announced more than one hundred and seventy arrests and confiscated
- 5:44Speaker 1: an additional twenty two illegal firearms. By the way, Democrats
- 5:48Speaker 1: should be excited about this because they're the ones that
- 5:50Speaker 1: hate guns the most, so you'd think they'd be like
- 5:52Speaker 1: super pumped about this, right, no, of course not. They
- 5:55Speaker 1: hate Caspertel, they hate Donald Trump, they hate law and order,
- 5:59Speaker 1: and so that's a exactly why they're against this now.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Patel also revealed highlights from an FBI Littrock sting resulting
- 6:07Speaker 1: in the arrest of thirty nine people, the seizure of
- 6:10Speaker 1: thirty five firearms, large quantities of fetnyl that could kill
- 6:14Speaker 1: many Americans, as well as a lot of other illegal drugs.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You can go from litt Rock to Portland. The FBI
- 6:20Speaker 1: saw man sentence to prison for assaulting a federal officer
- 6:24Speaker 1: during a violent attack, and an immigration and Customs enforcement
- 6:27Speaker 1: facility that was of course, you know those protests that
- 6:30Speaker 1: were paid for it yet again by the radical left.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Patel also reminded agents that their work is saving children,
- 6:37Speaker 1: and multiple child predators were sentenced, convicted, and charged as
- 6:41Speaker 1: a result of investigations by the FBI in Tampa, then
- 6:45Speaker 1: in Boston, Kansas City, and Baltimore. Quote as of yesterday,
- 6:50Speaker 1: for example, one member of seven hundred and sixty four
- 6:55Speaker 1: was sentenced to thirty years in prison. He says, always,
- 6:58Speaker 1: we're going to keep getting after it and I'll see
- 7:01Speaker 1: you next week. Now you look at that weekly update
- 7:05Speaker 1: and That's the reason why I wanted you to understand
- 7:07Speaker 1: kind of how this works. This is not like a
- 7:10Speaker 1: six month update. This isn't a year end of the
- 7:13Speaker 1: year like update. This is the weekly update. Next week's
- 7:17Speaker 1: update will be completely different, with completely different information. I really, really, really,
- 7:24Speaker 1: really really want you to think about that. Okay, you
- 7:27Speaker 1: have a FBI that is working right now, by the way,
- 7:32Speaker 1: exactly how it's supposed to. They're allowing the great men
- 7:35Speaker 1: and women in uniform to do their jobs. It is
- 7:40Speaker 1: something that I think should make all of us proud.
- 7:43Speaker 1: And it's no longer using the FBI for political purposes.
- 7:47Speaker 1: You may remember, we found out the FBI was actually
- 7:51Speaker 1: briefing and you go back to politics here. They were
- 7:54Speaker 1: briefing and sending letters to big tech for example Twitter
- 8:00Speaker 1: under the prior administration on what they wanted to be censored.
- 8:04Speaker 1: And when you think about that, they were out there
- 8:07Speaker 1: spending their time sending emails and finding things that were
- 8:10Speaker 1: post online by people like Mark and myself and saying, hey,
- 8:14Speaker 1: we need you to censor this information. There was question
- 8:18Speaker 1: there were things, for example put online like about ivermectin
- 8:21Speaker 1: for example, and then what was the government doing. They
- 8:25Speaker 1: were then connecting the Facebook or Meta to ax and
- 8:29Speaker 1: others and saying and instagram saying yeah, you guys need
- 8:32Speaker 1: to take this down. Like think about that. That was
- 8:35Speaker 1: what law enforcement looked like under Biden Harris and under Obama,
- 8:39Speaker 1: and then now look at it like we're actually going
- 8:42Speaker 1: after and taking people down that have committed real, serious,
- 8:46Speaker 1: heinous crimes. That is something that should make all of
- 8:50Speaker 1: us excited. And it's again goes back to the promise
- 8:54Speaker 1: that was made by the president nights its America. We're
- 8:57Speaker 1: going to go after those that We're gonna go out
- 9:00Speaker 1: the bad guys. Right, We're gonna go after waste, We're
- 9:02Speaker 1: gonna after fraud, We're gonna have to go after abuse.
- 9:04Speaker 1: We are going to go after these things. And that
- 9:09Speaker 1: is exactly why we should be so excited and proud
- 9:13Speaker 1: of this. Next story, number two, Gavin Newsom investigation is
- 9:19Speaker 1: something that is insanely underreported on. So let me go
- 9:23Speaker 1: to the Sacramento b all right, and I'm just gonna
- 9:26Speaker 1: read for you something that they had earlier today. The
- 9:29Speaker 1: DOJ is investigating Gavin Newsom and his wife. Here's what's
- 9:33Speaker 1: to know. Federal investigators are digging into the finances of
- 9:36Speaker 1: California Governor Newsom and his wife, the first Partner, Jennifer Newsom.
- 9:42Speaker 1: The governor calls it a quote political attack tied to
- 9:45Speaker 1: his expected twenty twenty eight president to run. The Trump
- 9:48Speaker 1: Administration's Justice Apartment is probing the Newsom ties to nonprofits. Okay,
- 9:53Speaker 1: this is what we're talking about. A moment ago taxes
- 9:55Speaker 1: and business dealings going back years, his wife has occupied
- 10:00Speaker 1: higher profile position compared to the spouse of other state leaders.
- 10:03Speaker 1: The filmmaker and gender equity advocate has helped shape her
- 10:07Speaker 1: husband's policies on issues like reproductive health, the male loneliness
- 10:11Speaker 1: and mental health crisis, school nutrition, and regulating children's access
- 10:16Speaker 1: to social media. Here are the key takeaways. Now, again
- 10:20Speaker 1: this is coming from the Sacramento b and again this
- 10:22Speaker 1: is one of the most underreported stories that if it
- 10:24Speaker 1: was a Republican that was in this much trouble as
- 10:26Speaker 1: a governor, it would be wall to wall coverage. Twenty
- 10:29Speaker 1: four to seven. The US Department of Justice is investigating
- 10:33Speaker 1: the first Lady of California's taxes and nonprofits connected to
- 10:37Speaker 1: her and the governor, with several probes ongoing for about
- 10:42Speaker 1: a year that originated from whistleblower complaints, so that would
- 10:45Speaker 1: be internal. Okay, this isn't some whistle this isn't some
- 10:48Speaker 1: witch hunt, This isn't some political you know, Okay, we're
- 10:52Speaker 1: coming after you because you came after us, or we
- 10:54Speaker 1: want to retaliate against you type of scenario, which is
- 10:56Speaker 1: what Gavin Newsom of course said. No. No, this is
- 10:59Speaker 1: people in and around internally, whistle blowers that complained to
- 11:04Speaker 1: the US Attorney's office in Sacramento. All right, that's why
- 11:07Speaker 1: I'm giving you this from the Sacramento b Then number
- 11:10Speaker 1: two on their list says the IRS and FBI agents
- 11:13Speaker 1: have approached staff, friends, and associates of the Newsom's in
- 11:16Speaker 1: recent weeks and obtained their bank records. That's significant. The
- 11:21Speaker 1: Governor's office said the probe intensified after Todd Blanche became
- 11:25Speaker 1: acting head of the DOJ. One of the investigations is
- 11:28Speaker 1: connected to Dana Williamson. Now this is the screaming like,
- 11:34Speaker 1: this is the fireworks going off moment. So you understand,
- 11:37Speaker 1: this is the oh, you know what moment if you
- 11:40Speaker 1: are Gavin Newsom internally. Okay, One of the investigations connected
- 11:45Speaker 1: to Dana Williamson. That is Newsom's former very close friend
- 11:51Speaker 1: and former chief of staff. Now, why is that significant, Well,
- 11:54Speaker 1: Dana has pled guilty to federal charges. Okay, she's pled
- 11:59Speaker 1: guilty to fraud and line to the FBI last month
- 12:03Speaker 1: and faces up to thirty six years in prison with
- 12:06Speaker 1: the plea agreement. Now, and go back to what I
- 12:09Speaker 1: said earlier, This isn't a witch hunt. This is whistleblowers
- 12:12Speaker 1: within the government whistleblowing and then seeing major problems and
- 12:16Speaker 1: then a Newsom's former chief of staff pleading guilty to
- 12:20Speaker 1: federal charges on fraud in line to the FBI and
- 12:23Speaker 1: is facing up to thirty eight years in prison. That
- 12:26Speaker 1: is what you refer to as someone rolling. So this
- 12:28Speaker 1: is someone who's trying to get like, trying to spend
- 12:30Speaker 1: the rest of their life in jail. They know a
- 12:32Speaker 1: lot obviously about Gavin Newsom's wife, this former chief of staff,
- 12:36Speaker 1: and clearly is singing like a canary, I think is
- 12:38Speaker 1: a fair way of putting it. Now, the First Lady
- 12:41Speaker 1: of California. Newsom earned about two point three million from
- 12:45Speaker 1: the Representation Project nonprofit between twenty eleven and twenty eighteen.
- 12:50Speaker 1: That's a hell of a lot of money from a nonprofit
- 12:51Speaker 1: two point three million. A twenty twenty one Sacramento b
- 12:54Speaker 1: investigation found more than eight hundred thousand donations to the
- 12:58Speaker 1: nonprofit from companies that directly lobbied the governor, meaning her husband.
- 13:03Speaker 1: You understand where we're going with this, all right. So
- 13:06Speaker 1: you've got companies that are directly lobbying the governor, and
- 13:10Speaker 1: all of a sudden, at the same time, you got
- 13:12Speaker 1: more than one hundred thousand dollars in donations to the
- 13:14Speaker 1: nonprofit from companies that needed to do business with and
- 13:19Speaker 1: we're lobbying the governor who happened to be her husband.
- 13:22Speaker 1: All right. That included PG and e AT and T
- 13:27Speaker 1: and Kaser as well. Now, just days before the DOJ
- 13:32Speaker 1: pro became public, the state's Fair Political Practice Commission actually
- 13:37Speaker 1: find Gavin Newsom. Now this is probably the first time
- 13:39Speaker 1: you're even hearing about this, okay, So you know, you know,
- 13:43Speaker 1: when there's like smoke, there's fire that's saying, well, now
- 13:45Speaker 1: we have fire, not just smoke, all right. So, just
- 13:48Speaker 1: days before the dog pro became public, the state's Fair
- 13:52Speaker 1: Political Practice Commission find Gavin Newsom more than thirty one
- 13:56Speaker 1: thousand dollars for failing to report you ready five point
- 14:01Speaker 1: six million and charitable donations on time, with most going
- 14:06Speaker 1: to California Fire Foundation. During the twenty twenty five Los
- 14:09Speaker 1: Angeles wildfires, Newsom was late filing reports on so called
- 14:15Speaker 1: behested payments not once, not twice, not ten times, not
- 14:19Speaker 1: twenty five times, but thirty four times alone in twenty
- 14:24Speaker 1: twenty five, and the governor has previously been fined for
- 14:27Speaker 1: failing to disclose fourteen million in donations made between nine
- 14:31Speaker 1: and twenty twenty four. Now, in a video post on
- 14:34Speaker 1: social media, Newsom called Trump the most quote corrupt president
- 14:37Speaker 1: of American history blah blah blah, and said the White
- 14:39Speaker 1: House is abusing the grand jury process at target him
- 14:42Speaker 1: because he's considering a twenty twenty eight presidential run. No,
- 14:45Speaker 1: none of this started under Trump. This all started in
- 14:48Speaker 1: the state by whistleblowers who came forward. And then you
- 14:54Speaker 1: have a former chief of Stafford Gavin Newsom, who has
- 14:57Speaker 1: taken a plea deal begging to not spend and the
- 15:00Speaker 1: rest of their life in prison. I'm gonna tell you
- 15:03Speaker 1: right now, when you have whistleblowers that are doing what
- 15:06Speaker 1: they're doing in California, you know it's bad. And when
- 15:08Speaker 1: you have whistle blowers in California that are who then
- 15:12Speaker 1: get to a point with data that's actually putting the
- 15:16Speaker 1: chief of staff of Gavin Newsom in prison, and then
- 15:20Speaker 1: him and then that person taking a deal, and then
- 15:22Speaker 1: of course the pushback is, well, you just need to understand,
- 15:26Speaker 1: right you just you need to understand that this is
- 15:30Speaker 1: all witch hunt. That's what Gavin Newsom said, is press comfort.
- 15:32Speaker 1: This is all Donald Trump being evil. Donald Trump's a
- 15:34Speaker 1: bad guy, Donald Trump is terrible. Donald Trump is the
- 15:37Speaker 1: worst person in the world. And this is all because
- 15:39Speaker 1: I'm gonna win the presidency. Okay, buddy, sure, whatever you say.
- 15:42Speaker 1: I'm going to tell you right now, there is a
- 15:45Speaker 1: very good chance that Gavin Newsom will not be running
- 15:47Speaker 1: for president. There's a very good chance to do that.
- 15:49Speaker 1: Gavin Newsom's gonna be fighting for his life to not
- 15:51Speaker 1: be in prison based on what we are witnessing right now.
