- 1:47Speaker 1: water go. Come come on your fad h I show
- 2:02Speaker 1: well a good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:07Speaker 1: Come on dig me now one it only Steve Harley
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show today. I want to just share
- 2:16Speaker 1: something with you along your way to wherever it is
- 2:23Speaker 1: you're trying to get to. You know, everybody has a
- 2:26Speaker 1: different definition for success, and I'm not. I'm not here
- 2:30Speaker 1: to tell you what joy should be. I mean, please
- 2:33Speaker 1: pursue whatever you think success he is aim as high
- 2:37Speaker 1: as you can though, that's for sure. My father used
- 2:42Speaker 1: to say all the time. I'm sure you all have
- 2:44Speaker 1: heard it in different variations, but he used to always say,
- 2:47Speaker 1: aim for the moon. Just in case you miss, you'll
- 2:50Speaker 1: still be amongst the stars. Just say that to me
- 2:53Speaker 1: all the time. So that always was in me to
- 2:56Speaker 1: aim high. Now he was and saying aim with the
- 3:01Speaker 1: intent to miss. He was just saying aim. In case
- 3:06Speaker 1: you miss, you're still a monster starts if you aim
- 3:10Speaker 1: for the moon. But if you just aim for that
- 3:12Speaker 1: first flow winder and you miss it, you know, usually
- 3:17Speaker 1: run into some type of wall and nothing happens. You
- 3:20Speaker 1: slither down. You know. In my book, act like a lady,
- 3:24Speaker 1: think like a man. I told her people that men
- 3:26Speaker 1: love three ways. They profess, they provide, they protect, and
- 3:30Speaker 1: that's the core essence of a man's love. Well, there's
- 3:34Speaker 1: some other peas in life too. The number one thing
- 3:38Speaker 1: you have to understand about trying to be successful, and
- 3:44Speaker 1: I guess I call this the four peas. I may
- 3:46Speaker 1: come up with five along the way. I don't know.
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm just talking as is given to me. So I'm
- 3:52Speaker 1: gonna summer start by saying, as these are the four
- 3:55Speaker 1: peas of success that you have to get ready for.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Number one one, it's pressure. A lot of it is
- 4:03Speaker 1: applied by the circumstance of what you're trying to go
- 4:07Speaker 1: for and what you're trying to do, but a lot
- 4:12Speaker 1: of it also is self imposed pressure. It's what you
- 4:16Speaker 1: put on yourself to make it. It's a sense of urgency.
- 4:22Speaker 1: It's a sense of necessity. But pressure is the first
- 4:28Speaker 1: thing I want you to be ready for. And pressure
- 4:31Speaker 1: comes in a lot of different forms, but it's going
- 4:33Speaker 1: to be pressured as an old saying that pressure buster pipe. See,
- 4:36Speaker 1: that's why most people turn around because of the pressure
- 4:40Speaker 1: of trying to be successful. I want you to get
- 4:43Speaker 1: it in your mind that it is going to be
- 4:45Speaker 1: a pressure rized situation on your rise to the top. Pressure,
- 4:52Speaker 1: but understand that that it is what it is, is
- 4:54Speaker 1: not going to change. That's it. Prepare yourself, get ready
- 5:00Speaker 1: for there to be pressure. The second thing I want
- 5:05Speaker 1: you to understand is when you receive this pressure, you
- 5:08Speaker 1: have to persist. You got to stay at it. You
- 5:13Speaker 1: got to develop a dog getness has a There's a
- 5:20Speaker 1: song who says, why must I feel like that? Why
- 5:26Speaker 1: must I chase the cat? Nothing but the dog in me?
- 5:32Speaker 1: That's a funny line in that song because really I
- 5:36Speaker 1: was thinking about it one day. I was humming it
- 5:39Speaker 1: and and it, and it occurred to me, said, why
- 5:42Speaker 1: must I feel like that? Why must I chase the cat?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Nothing but the dog get me? And you know, now
- 5:51Speaker 1: you could take it into literal says that the cat
- 5:53Speaker 1: chases the dog because it's innately is in his spirit.
- 5:57Speaker 1: That cats and dogs are a lot of times enemies.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Now people have pets in him, proving that if you
- 6:03Speaker 1: show love on both sides, they can exist. And that
- 6:06Speaker 1: happens too, but naturally innately, when your cat goes by
- 6:11Speaker 1: a dog and your dog don't recognize him, that some
- 6:13Speaker 1: barking going on. I'm talking abo just walking through the
- 6:16Speaker 1: neighborhood or something. So, but the reason that this dog's
- 6:22Speaker 1: so persistent towards this cat is just cause it's in him.
- 6:27Speaker 1: It's innately in him. And what I'm saying to you,
- 6:32Speaker 1: just using that as an analogy, is that you got
- 6:36Speaker 1: to be you got to be persistent in that. You
- 6:42Speaker 1: got to develop some dog in you now because pressure
- 6:46Speaker 1: takes some fighting back. See if you don't fight back
- 6:50Speaker 1: against pressure, pressure buster pipes, So what you think it
- 6:52Speaker 1: will do to you? Pressure, crack walls, pressure calls, explosions.
- 6:58Speaker 1: So if you don't fight back to hold it in,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you understand pressure does most people in the simple thing
- 7:06Speaker 1: called pressure, the weight of what it feels like to
- 7:10Speaker 1: want to be successful every single day, over and over
- 7:13Speaker 1: and over and over and over. It's just too much
- 7:16Speaker 1: pressure people crack. You got to persist. You have to persist.
- 7:23Speaker 1: You can the thought of giving up can come, but
- 7:26Speaker 1: you got to get it out. You gotta persist. The
- 7:31Speaker 1: next thing I want you to think about is another
- 7:35Speaker 1: something that I've been thinking about for years and learn
- 7:38Speaker 1: for years. It's called perseverance. To persist means to insist.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Its keyword in insist and persistence insists you must. You
- 7:50Speaker 1: must insist that this is going to happen. Now, the
- 7:54Speaker 1: persist I'm assuming means it's a pro action. It's some
- 7:58Speaker 1: type of proaction that you go towards it to make it.
- 8:02Speaker 1: You know, persist, You gotta be persistent. You gotta be
- 8:05Speaker 1: constantly at it, insisting that it happens. You gotta be
- 8:08Speaker 1: constantly at it. But the next thing I want you
- 8:10Speaker 1: to remember is perseverance. Perseverance is important. Perseverance means that
- 8:17Speaker 1: when you've done your best, when you've persisted, when you're
- 8:22Speaker 1: fighting back against the pressure. Perseverance simply means I'm going
- 8:27Speaker 1: to hang in here when if a crack come into pipe,
- 8:32Speaker 1: I'm gonna hang in there. If the pipe bust, I'm
- 8:35Speaker 1: gonna keep going. If I got to put duct, take mud, whatever,
- 8:41Speaker 1: I got to put on this thing. Man, I'm gonna
- 8:44Speaker 1: use perseverance. I'm going to stay with it no matter what.
- 8:49Speaker 1: So we're looking at the three things again. You got
- 8:52Speaker 1: to understand that it's gonna be pressure that you're gonna
- 8:56Speaker 1: have to persist keyword and persistence insist. You have to
- 9:00Speaker 1: insist that no matter what the pressure is, I'm gonna
- 9:03Speaker 1: stay with it. But then perseverance. If it goes wrong, Man,
- 9:08Speaker 1: you got to get in there and keep fighting. But
- 9:12Speaker 1: then Lord Him Mercy. Nothing helps you handle the three
- 9:16Speaker 1: peas better than the fourth pea. You got to pray.
- 9:20Speaker 1: You got to use prayer. You gotta talk to God.
- 9:23Speaker 1: You gotta use faith. You gotta have some conferences with
- 9:27Speaker 1: him late at night, early in the morning, in the
- 9:30Speaker 1: middle of the afternoon, when you own the train, when
- 9:33Speaker 1: you're driving. You got to talk to God. Man, you
- 9:36Speaker 1: gotta get yourself some help along the way. Nothing is
- 9:39Speaker 1: bigger than prayer. There is nothing bigger than prayer. Prayer
- 9:43Speaker 1: will help you overcome the pressure. Prayer will help you
- 9:46Speaker 1: stay persistent, and Lord Him Mercy, prayer will help you
- 9:49Speaker 1: persevere them is the faux peas. God gave that to me.
- 9:55Speaker 1: I'm passing it on. You're listening, ladies and gentlemen, Let's
- 10:04Speaker 1: get to it. Today is the day that the Lord
- 10:07Speaker 1: has made. Let us rejoice and be glad in it.
- 10:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you why, because it's the only one
- 10:12Speaker 1: you got. You have no control over any other days, yesterday, gone,
- 10:16Speaker 1: future is not promised. Today is today, right now, get
- 10:21Speaker 1: in it and get your two right. Get the two together, man,
- 10:27Speaker 1: triple teas up in here. Start with gratitude. You have to,
- 10:32Speaker 1: which will immediately affect your attitude, which has a direct
- 10:36Speaker 1: correlation on your altitude. This them two's baby. You get
- 10:40Speaker 1: them together. You can be somebody, man, that's my plan.
- 10:46Speaker 1: I wonna be somebody. I'm gonna mess around somehow, some
- 10:49Speaker 1: way with a little more grace and some mercy and
- 10:52Speaker 1: a whole lot of forgiveness, and I'm gonna mess around
- 10:55Speaker 1: and be somebody. I don't know what y'all doing, I'm
- 10:58Speaker 1: telling you, but I'm inviting you to get on this
- 11:00Speaker 1: tude train. Gratitude, attitude, altitude, that's Steve Hart More sure,
- 11:06Speaker 1: that's how we're doing it right now. Shirley Strawberry calling
- 11:08Speaker 1: for real junior um smile for the South. Listen Monica.
- 11:12Speaker 1: The legend of nephew Tommy Junior. Sir, what here we go?
- 11:19Speaker 1: Let me ask you something, man, because it's like the
- 11:22Speaker 1: tele cons to my nephew man. And he just he
- 11:24Speaker 1: wanted now. It's such a microwave socid today. I want
- 11:27Speaker 1: the money now, I want this lifestyle now, I want
- 11:30Speaker 1: everything now. And they don't understand. They're gonta trust. This
- 11:33Speaker 1: a process, a process of figures. Everything that I did
- 11:37Speaker 1: to get to my point, I had to fail to
- 11:39Speaker 1: get here. He just wanted me to do it for him.
- 11:43Speaker 1: That's good, you know. No, I didn't have nobody I
- 11:48Speaker 1: could even want to do it for me. So nephews
- 11:52Speaker 1: blessed to even have somebody. He think he got the
- 11:56Speaker 1: audacity to say, I'd like for you to do it.
- 12:00Speaker 1: It is not the way it goes. It's a it's
- 12:02Speaker 1: a long lesson to learn, and the longer it takes
- 12:06Speaker 1: you to learn it, the longest it's gonna take for
- 12:08Speaker 1: you to get it. It is imperative man, that people
- 12:12Speaker 1: understand what this is. But know this, as long as
- 12:16Speaker 1: it takes to get successful. Must I remind you all
- 12:20Speaker 1: there is joy in the journey. You have got to
- 12:24Speaker 1: stop along the way man, and appreciate where you are.
- 12:28Speaker 1: You may not be where you want to be, but
- 12:31Speaker 1: take inventory and oftentimes you can realize you may not
- 12:35Speaker 1: be where you want to be, but thank god, I
- 12:37Speaker 1: ain't where I was seement steps and sometimes people don't
- 12:44Speaker 1: even get joy in the steps. Man, I ain't where
- 12:48Speaker 1: I want to be yet. Yeah, I got you, bro,
- 12:51Speaker 1: But must I remind you that two years ago the
- 12:55Speaker 1: position you were sitting in, five years ago, eight years ago. Hey,
- 13:00Speaker 1: last summer that started a new year. See, some people
- 13:04Speaker 1: ain't got to look far back, you understand, and there's
- 13:10Speaker 1: joy in the journey, but you got to take inventory.
- 13:14Speaker 1: Everybody want it now, you know. Yeah, people trying to
- 13:19Speaker 1: take advantage of your success because they want it now.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that again. People try to take advantage
- 13:25Speaker 1: of your success. All of you out there has to
- 13:28Speaker 1: measure success. Somebody didn't try to capitalize on that. This
- 13:32Speaker 1: is Steve Harbin Martin show Man. Why yes it is,
- 13:37Speaker 1: and thank you guys. Coming up at thirty two minutes
- 13:39Speaker 1: after the hour, the nephew is here to run that
- 13:41Speaker 1: prank back right after this. You're listening, all right, It
- 13:48Speaker 1: is time to start your morning off with the nephew,
- 13:50Speaker 1: and run that prank back. What you got for us?
- 13:52Speaker 1: Naf what you got. We're gonna roll to the cemetery
- 13:55Speaker 1: right quick, gonna looking. It's just like running to the stone.
- 14:02Speaker 1: You know, you run somewhere else, You're right run to
- 14:05Speaker 1: the cemetery right quick, and take a look at the tombstone.

- 15:29Speaker 1: can't use no way I can help you to getting that. Mew.
- 15:32Speaker 1: I mean fix the problem then, man, I could check
- 15:35Speaker 1: the paperwork. I can check the paperwork and see what
- 15:38Speaker 1: the problem is. Now, if you gave me the wrong information,
- 15:40Speaker 1: your family gave me wrong information, then we just put
- 15:43Speaker 1: down where we would get it. And if we got
- 15:45Speaker 1: to change something, we'll change it. But it's gonna cause
- 15:47Speaker 1: you some more money. No, y'all, we're here. We're not
- 15:50Speaker 1: paying another damn damn to that funeral all, not another
- 15:54Speaker 1: damn damn the stuff gonna get changed from this damn tune,

- 17:07Speaker 1: to you like a man. What I'm saying to you
- 17:10Speaker 1: is that the family seals out the paperwork, put the
- 17:14Speaker 1: name in the birth date on there. If it is incorrect,
- 17:18Speaker 1: it has to be fixed. I have to call the
- 17:19Speaker 1: man out here to fix it, and that's gonna call
- 17:22Speaker 1: some money. I have to pay him. All I'm saying
- 17:25Speaker 1: is if that is the case, if the paperwork is incorrect,
- 17:28Speaker 1: it's not on us, and I'm gonna have to charge
- 17:30Speaker 1: you a little extra money just so I can get
- 17:32Speaker 1: it taken care of. To get charge nothing where you
- 17:35Speaker 1: got no more money, man, We ain't got no money.

- 17:55Speaker 1: help me. I'm gonna start digging up. But and if

- 18:09Speaker 1: to you and tell you what the deal is and
- 18:12Speaker 1: how we will get this fix. Ain't nobody come out
- 18:14Speaker 1: here and dig it up? Nothing? I I bet you,
- 18:19Speaker 1: and I'll put you. If you don't fix then we're
- 18:23Speaker 1: both were going in the damn hole. That's what's gonna happen.
- 18:25Speaker 1: We're going in because somebody want to fix me around
- 18:29Speaker 1: and put the room. You want to put the ruin everything.
- 18:35Speaker 1: But I don't even answer the damn phone. And my
- 18:37Speaker 1: uncle get existing, Regid Region, fix nothing. Men. You yelling

- 21:20Speaker 1: of the hour, but right now the CLO is here.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Chief Love Officer Steve Harvey ready for your love questions.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Kayla in Maryland writes, I'm a newly married woman and
- 21:32Speaker 1: my husband is a slob. Now that we live together,
- 21:35Speaker 1: he expects me to wash all of our clothes, cook
- 21:38Speaker 1: and clean, do all of the grocery shopping, and keep
- 21:41Speaker 1: the bathrooms clean. His logic is that I did it
- 21:44Speaker 1: all for myself when I was single, So it's no
- 21:47Speaker 1: big deal. Is he right? Or is marriage a partnership?
- 21:51Speaker 1: Marriage is a partnership. Of course, I would be stupid
- 21:54Speaker 1: not to say it's anything else. Your problem. Your husband
- 22:00Speaker 1: was a slab before you married him. Your husband has
- 22:06Speaker 1: entered into this marriage with false expectations. He thinks, because
- 22:11Speaker 1: you are the wife, wife, it is your job to
- 22:15Speaker 1: clean up, cook do launch you since you did it
- 22:21Speaker 1: for yourself. Well, the thing that attracted him to you
- 22:23Speaker 1: was because you did those things for yourself. That was
- 22:26Speaker 1: very attractive about you. That you would clean well, kept groomed,
- 22:30Speaker 1: all that stylish fly, all like that. Now you married
- 22:34Speaker 1: a man who was a slab. You've been over his house.
- 22:37Speaker 1: You know what it is now, he says, you shouldn't
- 22:42Speaker 1: have no problem because you did it before. Y'all got married. Well,
- 22:46Speaker 1: you did it for yourself, right. You didn't know you
- 22:50Speaker 1: were signing up to be the maid down at the Marryott.
- 22:59Speaker 1: That's the problem, slom So remind him right that this
- 23:05Speaker 1: is a partnership and everything you're doing the marriage is
- 23:09Speaker 1: a partnership. And if it doesn't become a partnership, then
- 23:12Speaker 1: you're gonna be doing some things by yourself. Okay, yeah,
- 23:19Speaker 1: and we're moving on before y'all got married. Yeah, all right.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Shorty in Atlanta says, I'm a twenty seven year old
- 23:31Speaker 1: single woman and I'm living with a man that is
- 23:33Speaker 1: almost thirty years older than I am. His daughter is
- 23:37Speaker 1: a year older than I and I enjoy hanging out
- 23:40Speaker 1: with her. He has a problem with us to bring
- 23:43Speaker 1: close and told me that I should act more like
- 23:45Speaker 1: a parent than her. Buddy. Is he serious? How do
- 23:48Speaker 1: I do that? Hard to act like a parent when
- 23:51Speaker 1: you just one year older than HIGs, your parents and
- 23:58Speaker 1: scales the same deals is my child? Ski? Right? Oh,
- 24:06Speaker 1: it's a lot of things that come with age difference,
- 24:08Speaker 1: and you experiencing one, you should start acting more like
- 24:12Speaker 1: a parent instead of a friend. Well that's not how
- 24:15Speaker 1: it works, so sorry, I don't I don't know what
- 24:19Speaker 1: to tell you. I've never been involved in an age
- 24:22Speaker 1: gap that big before years. That's why I had to
- 24:27Speaker 1: turn up. And it's thirty years old. You lucky, you
- 24:30Speaker 1: twenty seven. Cousin just ten years ago, you but seventeen
- 24:35Speaker 1: and heated at forty seven. That's the case. Yeah, very
- 24:41Speaker 1: close to Yeah, that's Cordy entry level. We're moving on
- 24:51Speaker 1: to um Jocelyn and Cincinnati says. I am almost fifty
- 24:56Speaker 1: and I love to go skating on Friday nights with
- 24:59Speaker 1: my girls. My husband doesn't like me going out at
- 25:01Speaker 1: night because he's a homebody, but I've always been out going.
- 25:05Speaker 1: How do I convince him that it's good to get
- 25:07Speaker 1: out sometime? Just keep going skating. You ain't fit to stop.
- 25:14Speaker 1: And it is good to get good outside sometimes. And
- 25:18Speaker 1: yes it's dangerous out there, but it's dangerous summer everywhere.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I mean, you know, look, you can't shut your life down.
- 25:25Speaker 1: Gonna keep going skating. Now, I'm explaining something to you
- 25:28Speaker 1: about just fifty and skating. Can't have you one other thing.
- 25:31Speaker 1: Falling is different. Falling it's different, it's different. Falling is different.
- 25:41Speaker 1: I'mtimeing you right now. If you fall, now you won't
- 25:45Speaker 1: be skating next week. You could be other one, you
- 25:49Speaker 1: s could you could be out of skating for three
- 25:51Speaker 1: four weeks. But she doesn't want to come home from
- 25:55Speaker 1: a great night with her girls skating. And you know
- 25:58Speaker 1: he's in there all mad than everything. You know, he's stupid.
- 26:03Speaker 1: You know, you know, you know what I don't like.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Can I tell you something. I'm old enough to make
- 26:08Speaker 1: this statement. I don't like old people that act old.
- 26:11Speaker 1: I just don't. I get away from now. I don't, man,
- 26:15Speaker 1: I don't like old people that act old because it
- 26:18Speaker 1: just makes me think, Man, is this it for me?
- 26:21Speaker 1: But I know people that's my age, man, that just
- 26:24Speaker 1: act like, whoa ya sitting around? What you doing? The
- 26:30Speaker 1: end of the world? Ye, Carla, I was just wondering,
- 26:34Speaker 1: isn't old age he's scared safety stuffs both. No, it's
- 26:39Speaker 1: it's the homebody. Well, I don't, well not in reference
- 26:44Speaker 1: to that. It's just people man, that think have bought
- 26:48Speaker 1: into the concept that with age comes lack of activity,
- 26:54Speaker 1: lack of effort, change of attitude and sit around because
- 26:58Speaker 1: we old, you're old, you'll need to be at the
- 27:01Speaker 1: I mean, man, I know couples man that I've met
- 27:05Speaker 1: that I went to school with, and it's it's dramatic, man,
- 27:10Speaker 1: And how they sit there and accept it. Yeah, that's it.
- 27:14Speaker 1: That's it. That's the word walkers in man. Just looking
- 27:18Speaker 1: looking slow? You know how you turn your head real
- 27:21Speaker 1: slow like you're doing right now, you know, turn your
- 27:26Speaker 1: head like it's like it's rusty man. Look over hill. Yeah,
- 27:31Speaker 1: something about to pop off? What did that behind me?
- 27:34Speaker 1: Would you turn your ass around and see? I got
- 27:38Speaker 1: I got some players makes look a hundred yeah right,
- 27:44Speaker 1: yeah already, yeah, you got some players made. I saw
- 27:49Speaker 1: a girl one time in essence Steve Well. I knew
- 27:53Speaker 1: she knew me, Project Roger somebody what any man? I turned?
- 28:01Speaker 1: Remember me? Can I tell you something? I thought she
- 28:12Speaker 1: was one of my teachers versus last Damn she must
- 28:18Speaker 1: have flunked me because she didn't me really well, man.
- 28:23Speaker 1: When she told me her name, I went home and
- 28:26Speaker 1: called my boy. He sent me a picture of her
- 28:29Speaker 1: in the year book. It was, it was, it was.
- 28:33Speaker 1: It was unbelievable, man. So I just say to everybody,
- 28:36Speaker 1: look aging father, time's undefeated. But there is honor in
- 28:44Speaker 1: the fight. You ain't gotta sit there and look like
- 28:47Speaker 1: I just don't look like I'm losing every time. Damn again.
- 28:51Speaker 1: All right, thank you, Fiello. Coming up at the top
- 28:54Speaker 1: of the hour. We'll have some national and entertainment news
- 28:57Speaker 1: for you right after this. You're listening Stave Harvey Morning Show.

- 29:09Speaker 1: Griner is considered wrongfully detained, which signals that, regardless of
- 29:14Speaker 1: the status of her legal case, the US government will
- 29:16Speaker 1: seek to negotiate her release. Griner's NBA team w NBA team,
- 29:21Speaker 1: the Phoenix Mercury met Monday with the State Department to
- 29:24Speaker 1: discuss the status of her case, and they assured the
- 29:27Speaker 1: team they are working hard to being Brittany home. Britney
- 29:31Speaker 1: Grinner was detained, if you recall, back in February at
- 29:34Speaker 1: a Moscow area airport after cannabis oil was allegedly found
- 29:38Speaker 1: in her luggage. Yeah, okay, but let me ask you
- 29:41Speaker 1: this showy Well, I know you don't know, but what
- 29:44Speaker 1: does that mean. It's been extended eighteen days? They're going
- 29:47Speaker 1: to release her in eighteen days or it's eighteen days
- 29:50Speaker 1: for another Yeah, eighteen days of her staying there, And
- 29:56Speaker 1: they said the State Department said, it's part of the process.
- 29:59Speaker 1: She could be tained, detained again, released. Yeah, painful process,
- 30:07Speaker 1: just not not that she committed a crime or anything.
- 30:12Speaker 1: But you know, when I hear stories like this, I
- 30:15Speaker 1: just remind people, man, when you are traveling, when you
- 30:20Speaker 1: are traveling abroad, all this stuff you use at home
- 30:24Speaker 1: and at your house, leave all that stuff. Man. Yeah,
- 30:28Speaker 1: you ain't got no time over that chewable gummies and
- 30:30Speaker 1: all this here edibles, you know, anything and and and
- 30:33Speaker 1: that's not even what the woman did. But I'm just
- 30:36Speaker 1: saying to people, because I know people who travel, you
- 30:39Speaker 1: can't go to these countries. Look, man, everybody ain't open
- 30:43Speaker 1: to your lifestyle. And laws are different. You know, everybody
- 30:47Speaker 1: is not open to your lifestyle. And when I'm talking
- 30:50Speaker 1: about lifestyle, I'm talking about what you do with your
- 30:53Speaker 1: recreational time, like drugs, oil, CBD. All countries ain't old
- 31:00Speaker 1: putting to that, man, you got to be smart. Yeah. Yeah,
- 31:03Speaker 1: they're using her the ru I mean, she's been playing
- 31:06Speaker 1: for over there for years. Oh it's it's it's horrible
- 31:10Speaker 1: what they're doing to this woman. It's horrible. Then, you
- 31:13Speaker 1: know we did wartime too. She's not on the front burner.
- 31:17Speaker 1: Of things to do with Russia right now, right Russia
- 31:21Speaker 1: in the middle of a horrible ward that they initiated.
- 31:25Speaker 1: They invaded a country. Yeah, yes they did, and they're
- 31:29Speaker 1: still over there. Um, so you know, hopefully they'll get
- 31:33Speaker 1: this matter settled and Brittany can come home sing home Yes.
- 31:38Speaker 1: And other entertainment news. Jailed rapper Gunna, who is fighting
- 31:42Speaker 1: RICO charges, is trying to clear his name. He wrote
- 31:46Speaker 1: an open letter from jail saying that the America is
- 31:50Speaker 1: violating his freedom of speech. He writes, twenty two and
- 31:53Speaker 1: two just a bed and shower, no windows, no walls,
- 31:58Speaker 1: can't see or talk to anyone, and I'm writing and
- 32:01Speaker 1: still praying. Gonna went on to say, my country's amendments
- 32:04Speaker 1: have failed me protect black art. Gonna refer to twenty
- 32:08Speaker 1: two was supposed to be the best year of his career.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Gonna and Thug will remain locked up until next year.
- 32:16Speaker 1: So yeah, next year. Yeah, Well, Shelley, how do you
- 32:22Speaker 1: know all this stuff to the next year. What's going
- 32:26Speaker 1: to happen next year? Yeah, I mean, you know, then
- 32:30Speaker 1: the proceedings, Yeah, the process all over again. You know,
- 32:33Speaker 1: they've tried to get out, but to no avail. Yeah. Yeah, finally,
- 32:42Speaker 1: and they have attorneys and everything. Finally. In entertainment news,
- 32:46Speaker 1: as we move on, Former First Lady Michelle Obama spoke
- 32:48Speaker 1: at the Culture of Democracy Summit in La. Organizers say
- 32:52Speaker 1: the overall goal of the four days summit is to
- 32:55Speaker 1: bring together people from various walks of life to discuss
- 32:58Speaker 1: the role different industry's play and protecting and strengthening democracy
- 33:03Speaker 1: through voter registration, education, mobilization, and culture change. Other celebrities
- 33:10Speaker 1: include Tracy Ellis, Ross, NBA superstar Chris Paul and Philadelphia
- 33:14Speaker 1: seventy six ers head coach Doc Rivers. So thank you,
- 33:19Speaker 1: Michelle Obama, because this is what we need moving forward,
- 33:22Speaker 1: you know, absolutely more education on voter registration, all of that,
- 33:28Speaker 1: culture change, all of this. So thank you to all
- 33:31Speaker 1: of them. It was called the Culture of Democracy Summit.
- 33:34Speaker 1: It was held in La. Hey, can I couble back
- 33:38Speaker 1: on the Gunner story? Yes, let me just say this
- 33:43Speaker 1: right here. I understand the young brother's letter, But don't
- 33:47Speaker 1: y'all be confused. It's saying about freedom of writing lyrics.
- 33:51Speaker 1: That ain't what he in jail. It's way way more
- 33:55Speaker 1: than that. Yeah, it's yeahs charges. Yeah, it's a bunch.
- 34:02Speaker 1: But it ain't cause you wrote wrote a rap song.
- 34:04Speaker 1: I mean, I wish the young brother rall well. And
- 34:07Speaker 1: I don't know anything about it. I just hear certain things.
- 34:10Speaker 1: But you're not in jail because you wrote some lyrics.
- 34:14Speaker 1: It's a whole lot of stuff they're trying to do
- 34:16Speaker 1: to this cat. Yeah, and I don't I don't. I
- 34:18Speaker 1: don't understand it or know the particulars of it. But
- 34:21Speaker 1: just don't y'all be confused thinking he either wrote a
- 34:24Speaker 1: rap song that he in prison. Yeah. As a matter
- 34:26Speaker 1: of fact, they were saying that his lyrics in his
- 34:28Speaker 1: songs were instructions to do what he was brought in for,
- 34:33Speaker 1: you know, the sex traffick and all of that. So yeah, yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 1: So like you said, do not be confused, Steve, why
- 34:42Speaker 1: would you, I mean, didn't do it. I mean, this
- 34:45Speaker 1: got something to do with murder, sex, trafficking drugs. This
- 34:49Speaker 1: is crazy, heavy, serious charges. Yeah, that's why. Yeah, they
- 34:55Speaker 1: were denied bill and that's why they're not getting out
- 34:58Speaker 1: until twenty twenty three. That has a lot to do
- 35:01Speaker 1: with it, for sure. I wish we had more positive
- 35:05Speaker 1: things going on with hip hop, more positive music, more
- 35:08Speaker 1: positive lyrics. No this is something we've always he talked about,
- 35:13Speaker 1: but it's just it's just really sad. It just all
- 35:15Speaker 1: sounds the same these days. Yeah, I just wish we
- 35:18Speaker 1: could just take that turn right and start a nutrient.
- 35:22Speaker 1: Let's do something positive. Yeah, and freedom of speech is important,
- 35:26Speaker 1: but like you say, Steve, not in this case that
- 35:29Speaker 1: that is not the deal for sure. All right, coming
- 35:33Speaker 1: up at twenty minutes after the hour, still trending those
- 35:36Speaker 1: pictures of jay Z and his daughter, Blue Ivy at
- 35:39Speaker 1: the NBA Finals. We'll talk about daddy daughter relationships right
- 35:43Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Father's Day. Is this Sunday, guys,
- 35:50Speaker 1: And we just love the picture that was trending yesterday
- 35:52Speaker 1: of jay Z and Blue Ivy, his daughter, sitting courtside
- 35:56Speaker 1: at the Warriors versus Celtics game. Blue looking just just
- 36:00Speaker 1: like just like Beyonce. Just thank the Lord, Thank the Lord.
- 36:10Speaker 1: She's really grown up. Had a little hoop, ear rings,
- 36:13Speaker 1: her hair, curly hair. Yeah, just looking cute. Jay Z
- 36:18Speaker 1: wants to put his arm around her. She was like, Dad,
- 36:20Speaker 1: my hair, her hair, my hair. Yes. Anyway, So here's
- 36:29Speaker 1: a question for you, Stephen Tommy. You both have daughters,
- 36:32Speaker 1: So why is it so important for dads. We're talking,
- 36:36Speaker 1: dad's here to spend quality time with their daughters. I'm
- 36:39Speaker 1: gonna let Tommy start. It's important. I mean, I'm I'm
- 36:44Speaker 1: who my daughter looks up to as a man. So
- 36:47Speaker 1: I gotta set a good example. I gotta show her
- 36:49Speaker 1: what what to look for, what she's looking for when she,
- 36:52Speaker 1: you know, gets to the point where she wants to
- 36:54Speaker 1: get married. I want my daughter to day to look
- 36:55Speaker 1: back and say, my dad treated me this way, that way,
- 36:58Speaker 1: and this is the way a man is supposed to
- 37:00Speaker 1: treat me. And you know, she's getting ready to go
- 37:02Speaker 1: off to college now, so I want to want her
- 37:05Speaker 1: to have that not here that hey, this is the
- 37:07Speaker 1: way you're supposed to treat me at all times, and
- 37:09Speaker 1: I will not handle any disrespect. This is the way
- 37:11Speaker 1: you're supposed to be a gentleman. That's supposed to what
- 37:13Speaker 1: you're supposed to care about me, the way that she
- 37:15Speaker 1: sees that I care about her mother. This is the
- 37:17Speaker 1: way it's supposed to go. So I'm always trying to
- 37:20Speaker 1: be an example so she'll know that's what I'm supposed
- 37:23Speaker 1: to have and this is the way I want my
- 37:26Speaker 1: relationship or life to go. So that's that's the number
- 37:31Speaker 1: one thing that's important that she gets a true example
- 37:36Speaker 1: of how a man's love is. It's not physical, it's
- 37:41Speaker 1: not abusive. The other thing that it does is it
- 37:45Speaker 1: provides a young girl. It's an important man for boys
- 37:49Speaker 1: and girls, but I think even more so for girls
- 37:53Speaker 1: that they know what it is to feel protected. Yes,
- 37:59Speaker 1: you know it's my daddy. I'm gonna get my daddy.
- 38:02Speaker 1: I tell my daddy. It's important man that fathers provide
- 38:09Speaker 1: a safety net for their children. It's important that a
- 38:14Speaker 1: father provide a safety net for his woman, his girlfriend,
- 38:19Speaker 1: his fiance, say his wife. That level of protection is. Oh, man,
- 38:25Speaker 1: how calm would your life be if you knew somebody
- 38:29Speaker 1: had your back's man, that's a relaxing feeling, man, when
- 38:35Speaker 1: you know somebody got me. You know how many times
- 38:40Speaker 1: have I heard Marjorie say, I'm just glad you got
- 38:43Speaker 1: this because I'd be looking at this socause she said
- 38:46Speaker 1: you're bad man, Steve Harmer. And that makes me feel
- 38:50Speaker 1: good because I know that she knows that, and all
- 38:55Speaker 1: of my children know, and all of my daughters. No
- 38:58Speaker 1: push come to show the dude right there, he coming
- 39:02Speaker 1: for you, well, said Tommy too coming up at thirty
- 39:04Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour. We'll check your voicemail Steve.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to the same Harvey Morning Show.
- 39:13Speaker 1: All right. Time now to check steve voicemail and if
- 39:16Speaker 1: you would like to leave a voicemail for Steve, call
- 39:18Speaker 1: him eight seven seven twenty nine Steve eight seven seven
- 39:21Speaker 1: twenty nine, Steve. All right, Steve. So recently during our
- 39:25Speaker 1: asked the clo segment, I'm sure you'll remember this, a
- 39:28Speaker 1: woman rode in said her four year old son sleeps
- 39:30Speaker 1: in the bed with her and now that she's engaged,
- 39:33Speaker 1: her fiance said it's time for the boy to sleep
- 39:36Speaker 1: in his own bed. Well, you agreed with the fiance.
- 39:39Speaker 1: You know, we had a problem with that. We wanted
- 39:41Speaker 1: the baby to stay in the bed with the mommy.
- 39:44Speaker 1: But this caller left a message and disagree with you. Listen, Okay,
- 39:48Speaker 1: you guys aren't taking live calls because you can't take
- 39:51Speaker 1: the heat. But Steve, you have never raised a four
- 39:55Speaker 1: year old. You've never been around any of your children
- 39:59Speaker 1: at the age of nor your wife's children at the
- 40:02Speaker 1: age of four. Have no idea how bonded to childhood
- 40:07Speaker 1: is a four year ago. Okay, Now, first of all,
- 40:12Speaker 1: you a damn lie, he called Brandon calling I watched
- 40:17Speaker 1: them being born. You don't know nothing about me, and
- 40:20Speaker 1: don't worry about Mardrey's kids and all this here. No,
- 40:24Speaker 1: don't call in myself to do. You can't take no heat.
- 40:27Speaker 1: Your ass don't know what you're talking about. I've been
- 40:30Speaker 1: around kids. I've been around Winton since he was born.
- 40:34Speaker 1: I've been around Broderick. I've been around them between him.
- 40:37Speaker 1: You the one ain't been around me. Oh, call here
- 40:40Speaker 1: no more with this little muck ass statement. You don't
- 40:43Speaker 1: know how kids are. I know, I know plenty abound kids.
- 40:46Speaker 1: I ain't never had a child. But your ass gonna
- 40:49Speaker 1: get in your bed at folk and sleep by your
- 40:52Speaker 1: damn self. That's what you gonna do. And you're not

- 41:28Speaker 1: what I ain't But you ain't gonna leave your name
- 41:30Speaker 1: made ragging ass calls and me no more. And this
- 41:33Speaker 1: is why we don't take the calls Lie. This why
- 41:36Speaker 1: right here? Ain't nobody scared? This is why we don't

- 42:36Speaker 1: loving the showing all the players on the show, we
- 42:39Speaker 1: thank you very much. As far as sometimes it's not
- 42:42Speaker 1: children of appropriate. That's because our radio show is adult
- 42:46Speaker 1: contemporary AC radio. We are the masses of adult contemporary
- 42:51Speaker 1: and sometimes we do say stuff is child appropriate. But
- 42:57Speaker 1: I'm not here to raise your kids. And based on
- 42:59Speaker 1: the or the caller, the reason I am able to
- 43:02Speaker 1: raise your kids, it's because I ain't raised my own.
- 43:05Speaker 1: According to that ignorant ass one talking about you, wasn't
- 43:08Speaker 1: around none of your kids when they was fault. You're
- 43:11Speaker 1: just a damn lad. This is what you is. This's
- 43:15Speaker 1: what you is. This anonymous chicken coward ass lady. Yeah,
- 43:22Speaker 1: called in here talking to me about my damn family.
- 43:25Speaker 1: You're a bet off. Just been talking to me. But

- 43:37Speaker 1: gave out no badass information on you. You ain't raised,
- 43:43Speaker 1: no fault. You know, you hadn't been around in your
- 43:45Speaker 1: kids life. You change no diapers and not very hard.
- 43:55Speaker 1: All right, all right, thank you. Steve. Coming up next
- 43:59Speaker 1: to It's the prank on Call for It today with
- 44:01Speaker 1: the Nephew. Right after this, you're listening Morning show coming

- 44:17Speaker 1: that we've all heard that right there, all that. We'll

- 44:29Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us? Nep what's on
- 44:30Speaker 1: the menu? I got something stupid. Fuh this right here
- 44:36Speaker 1: gonna be real stupid and ignorant for you. This is
- 44:38Speaker 1: called baby chick, baby chick. Okay, yeah, just put that
- 44:45Speaker 1: in your head right there. Put that in your head
- 44:48Speaker 1: as you look down the menu of stupid baby chick,
- 44:51Speaker 1: cat dog, get your food. Thank you. I'm trying to
- 44:55Speaker 1: reach one thing, which is so calling help you? Yeah?
- 45:01Speaker 1: You are you the manager there? Yes, sir, your name warned? Yes, sir,
- 45:05Speaker 1: this is one Okay, I need to actually file a
- 45:08Speaker 1: lawsuit on y'all, and I'm actually calling you first to
- 45:11Speaker 1: let you know that I'm getting ready to file a
- 45:13Speaker 1: lawsuit on the whole grocery store for what did happened
- 45:17Speaker 1: to me? Sir? Let me let me get hold on
- 45:20Speaker 1: a second, so let me do this. Let me let
- 45:22Speaker 1: me have what what did you say? Your name was
- 45:24Speaker 1: my name is Evans. Evans is my name, So Evans
- 45:29Speaker 1: is your last name? Let me let me write this down.
- 45:31Speaker 1: And you came into my store. Did you have an
- 45:34Speaker 1: accident in my store or something? I just have to
- 45:36Speaker 1: show what you're calling about. I ain't had no accident.
- 45:39Speaker 1: What appum was? I came in there yesterday and I
- 45:42Speaker 1: bought a bunch of grocers and I bought a card
- 45:44Speaker 1: in the eggs right now. When I got home, I
- 45:48Speaker 1: was checking to make sure the eggs didn't didn't break
- 45:50Speaker 1: on the way home. When I got home, it was
- 45:53Speaker 1: a baby chick inside the egg cardon. Man, one of
- 45:56Speaker 1: the eggs had it had hatched and got my kids
- 45:59Speaker 1: trabais And they don't even want to eat breakfast or
- 46:02Speaker 1: nothing around here because it's a baby chick inside caught
- 46:05Speaker 1: the eggs. That don't make no man um, I don't
- 46:10Speaker 1: mean to uh let me so you tell me it
- 46:12Speaker 1: was a chicken, a baby chicken, actual chicken, and the
- 46:16Speaker 1: baby chick inside the cart and the eggs. Man, you
- 46:20Speaker 1: got my kids traumatized. Man, don't nobody what got eggs
- 46:23Speaker 1: if you're just around here, because if you're just calmed
- 46:26Speaker 1: down for one second, listen what I told y'all put
- 46:31Speaker 1: that chicken down, and then put it down. It might
- 46:33Speaker 1: have ray beat Say what, I don't even think that
- 46:37Speaker 1: that's possible. First of all, if you had any idea
- 46:41Speaker 1: how this thing comes from the farm to the store,
- 46:44Speaker 1: it is they go over these eggs a countless summertimes,
- 46:47Speaker 1: and the temperature and the freezer. First of all, wasn't
- 46:50Speaker 1: even allow for a chicken to be allied if you
- 46:53Speaker 1: had a baby. I don't know I did this one,
- 46:55Speaker 1: this one. I don't know how this one got passed system. Okay,
- 47:01Speaker 1: But what I do know is we got a baby
- 47:03Speaker 1: chick over here running around because y'all soo ain't doing
- 47:08Speaker 1: what y'all's supposed to do. Man, and I got it,
- 47:10Speaker 1: and now my kids are traumatized behind this. When did
- 47:12Speaker 1: you say you were in here? So I was in
- 47:14Speaker 1: there yesterday. I bought the eggs yesterday. Man down here
- 47:18Speaker 1: am free. Yes, I bought him except the grocery stove.
- 47:22Speaker 1: I sure did. Okay, let's do this. Why don't you
- 47:26Speaker 1: bring the eggs into me and the chick? Now you
- 47:29Speaker 1: want me to transport a baby chick back to the
- 47:32Speaker 1: grocery store. I aught my Look, we already traumatized over here,
- 47:36Speaker 1: already behind this dog bone baby chick. Man, I'm not
- 47:39Speaker 1: I'm not exactly sure what you were trying to pull here,
- 47:43Speaker 1: but I just don't I don't think that. First of all,
- 47:47Speaker 1: any anyone a common sense will tell you that that's
- 47:49Speaker 1: not possible. First of all, you can't have a baby
- 47:52Speaker 1: chick living in a dozen eggs. There is no possible
- 47:56Speaker 1: way that this. The temperature and life freezers ripe above freezing.
- 48:01Speaker 1: There's no chickens or fragile creature in the first place.
- 48:04Speaker 1: You can't have a little bird is not gonna survive
- 48:07Speaker 1: the transport from the farm to the factory to my store.
- 48:12Speaker 1: I'm not getting weird. Hey, hey, hey, I'm not gonna
- 48:17Speaker 1: go back and forth, but you remember baby bullshit, you boy.
- 48:20Speaker 1: If you want to bring me a dozen eggs, bring
- 48:22Speaker 1: the dazen eggs in. If you can catch the chick,
- 48:25Speaker 1: catch the chick. Hey man, you came you. You're supposed
- 48:27Speaker 1: to be the manager. You're not supposed to talk to
- 48:28Speaker 1: me like this. So I mean, I don't tell you,
- 48:31Speaker 1: as politely as possible, if you want to bring the
- 48:34Speaker 1: lemon eggs and a chick, I will gladly refund your money,
- 48:38Speaker 1: give you another car, and ask whatever you want to do.
- 48:40Speaker 1: But I'm not I don't even hear anyone can happen.
- 48:42Speaker 1: But I'm not all a lawsuit because y'all to traumatized
- 48:45Speaker 1: me and my chick. So listen, all right, let's just
- 48:48Speaker 1: bring this down a lawsuit, sir. It over a dozen eggs,
- 48:55Speaker 1: A dozen eggs that got a baby chick in it. Man,
- 48:58Speaker 1: But let me do the phone number and some information,
- 49:01Speaker 1: and I will talk to my manager and we will
- 49:04Speaker 1: figure this thing out for you, because I just I
- 49:06Speaker 1: just don't believe that this would be possible. I just
- 49:09Speaker 1: I don't understand how you would have a chick let him,
- 49:14Speaker 1: let just leave him over that, don't touch the chicken
- 49:17Speaker 1: that I just don't believe that this could possibly be happy.
- 49:20Speaker 1: So this is its unbelievable means that even get this phone,
- 49:24Speaker 1: I don't have time to go back and forth with
- 49:26Speaker 1: you about how something happened. All I know is it
- 49:30Speaker 1: Maybe it's some fluke accident, Okay, but it happened. My
- 49:33Speaker 1: kids are old here putting with a favorite chick, and
- 49:37Speaker 1: I'm trauma tad. I don't even want to ever have
- 49:39Speaker 1: Preckman up again. And I'm gonna to make sho I
- 49:42Speaker 1: file a lawsuit on your shoe and your show me.
- 49:47Speaker 1: I don't suncise anything to do with me. I didn't
- 49:49Speaker 1: do anything, uh except come into Ruth today. You understand
- 49:53Speaker 1: what I'm saying. If you want to follow lawsus gonna
- 49:56Speaker 1: file a lawsuit. I'm throwing up to the older grocery
- 49:59Speaker 1: stow and I'm out of the lawsuit on the manager Warren,
- 50:02Speaker 1: which is your for giving me a hard time about
- 50:05Speaker 1: what I'm telling you don't happen. I don't even got
- 50:08Speaker 1: a hard time out of needle as you'm saying. I'm
- 50:10Speaker 1: saying you are a hard time comes down here day.
- 50:12Speaker 1: I'm bringing the bags down here, and I'm bringing that
- 50:16Speaker 1: baby chick that back up down there too. I'm bringing
- 50:19Speaker 1: out all of it or poops because I'm like to
- 50:20Speaker 1: see it. How much did you pay for those days?
- 50:23Speaker 1: I'm paid my two down and it ain't blood. How
- 50:25Speaker 1: much I paid for the edge. That's what you have
- 50:27Speaker 1: trauma time? Oh yeah, because I'm gonna give you just
- 50:29Speaker 1: got much back and out when you get much, you
- 50:31Speaker 1: I'm a saying I don't give it. My songs. A
- 50:34Speaker 1: lot of custs out here and hind legitimate poople are
- 50:36Speaker 1: online senses and not something drop from the telephone till
- 50:39Speaker 1: about some chicken and a dribbing egg. Okay, well let
- 50:42Speaker 1: me let me tell you this too. Do you have

- 53:36Speaker 1: love and hold on tight. We got it for you here.
- 53:38Speaker 1: It is the Strawberry Letter. Thank you, nephew. Subjects. She's
- 53:41Speaker 1: got one more time, Okay, Just Stephen Shirley. I've been
- 53:45Speaker 1: dating a great man for almost six months. It's been
- 53:49Speaker 1: It was a long distance relationship at first, but I
- 53:52Speaker 1: moved to a city three weeks ago. I have an
- 53:54Speaker 1: aunt that lives in the same city, and I'm living
- 53:57Speaker 1: with her temporarily. My boyfriend gave me a key to
- 54:00Speaker 1: his apartment and told me to make myself at home,
- 54:04Speaker 1: so I stay with him most of the time. His
- 54:07Speaker 1: mother has a key to his apartment too, and she
- 54:10Speaker 1: comes and goes as she pleases. She usually stops by
- 54:13Speaker 1: after work to have a glass of wine and chill
- 54:15Speaker 1: while the traffic dies down. If she doesn't see my
- 54:19Speaker 1: boyfriend's car. She comes on in and won't even speak
- 54:22Speaker 1: to me. If I've cooked, she'll make a plate. If
- 54:25Speaker 1: we have leftovers, she'll make a plate. She doesn't talk
- 54:28Speaker 1: to me, and she doesn't ask before she eats our food.
- 54:32Speaker 1: After a few visits from her, I asked my boyfriend
- 54:35Speaker 1: why she only comes by when I'm there by myself.
- 54:38Speaker 1: He laughed and said that his mother doesn't trust me,
- 54:41Speaker 1: so she comes to keep an eye on me. I
- 54:44Speaker 1: guess she thinks I'm a thief and her son has
- 54:46Speaker 1: money hidden in the walls of his tiny, one bedroom apartment.
- 54:51Speaker 1: I decided to ask her if she had a problem
- 54:53Speaker 1: with me, and she got up in my face and
- 54:56Speaker 1: told me that I was a stranger and did nobody
- 55:00Speaker 1: he tell me to move to her city and try
- 55:03Speaker 1: to marry her son. While she talked, she was spitting
- 55:06Speaker 1: food particles my way from between her spaced out brown's teeth.
- 55:11Speaker 1: My boyfriend walked in in the nick of time. I
- 55:15Speaker 1: told him his mom had one more time to ignore
- 55:19Speaker 1: me in his home and eat something I cooked or
- 55:22Speaker 1: bought without asking. He agreed with me and asked his
- 55:26Speaker 1: mama to give him his house, but she refused to
- 55:31Speaker 1: he's been joking about his mom jumping on me, and
- 55:33Speaker 1: I don't find that funny at all. Should I break
- 55:37Speaker 1: up with him? Well, you didn't say it, but you
- 55:42Speaker 1: are aware that you have a mama's boy on your hands, right,
- 55:45Speaker 1: I mean, he's been joking about his mom jumping on you,
- 55:48Speaker 1: but it's nothing funny about it at all, like you said,
- 55:51Speaker 1: and so far you've done nothing wrong, but please keep
- 55:55Speaker 1: it that way. What you don't want to do is
- 55:58Speaker 1: get into a fight with his crazy, disrespectful, rude, bully
- 56:02Speaker 1: of a mama, because I know you want to. I
- 56:04Speaker 1: know you do. So the next question is what are
- 56:09Speaker 1: your plans with him? Is his mom right? Are you
- 56:12Speaker 1: trying to marry her son? Is that the goal? If
- 56:15Speaker 1: it is, are you sure? Are you sure? His mom
- 56:20Speaker 1: is more than a handful and he's got to He's
- 56:23Speaker 1: got to be the one to stop her. Mama's boys
- 56:26Speaker 1: usually can't or won't do that. Okay, they won't stop
- 56:29Speaker 1: their moms. They won't say anything. At Leasi said something,
- 56:32Speaker 1: but mama's boys usually don't do that. I am glad
- 56:35Speaker 1: he talked to her, though, but it didn't do any good.
- 56:39Speaker 1: What he needs to do is let her know that
- 56:41Speaker 1: you are the woman of the house. Now he needs
- 56:44Speaker 1: to get his key back from his mom, change the lots,
- 56:46Speaker 1: whatever he's got to do. And if that doesn't work,
- 56:49Speaker 1: why don't you move back with your aunt for a while,
- 56:52Speaker 1: think about getting your own apartment or moving, you know,
- 56:55Speaker 1: back to where you came from, breaking up with this guy,
- 56:58Speaker 1: just moving on with your life, because mama boys usually
- 57:01Speaker 1: don't make good husbands. All right, Steve h. First of all,
- 57:12Speaker 1: this isn't a case of mama's boy. I want to
- 57:17Speaker 1: clarify that the definition of a mama's boy, he doesn't
- 57:20Speaker 1: fall into that. In this letter, surely you said something
- 57:24Speaker 1: very important and you're saying that mama's boys usually don't
- 57:29Speaker 1: say anything to the mother. But he did. Well, it's
- 57:31Speaker 1: because he's not a mama's boy. He is not. Now
- 57:37Speaker 1: his mama is off the check. And what this letter
- 57:42Speaker 1: is about is about clearly you have a problem with mama,
- 57:48Speaker 1: and Mama got a problem with you, and in your estimation,
- 57:53Speaker 1: due to the title of the letter, she got one
- 57:56Speaker 1: more time. That's all. Now you're moved into town with
- 58:02Speaker 1: this man, and nothing wrong with this. You staying with
- 58:05Speaker 1: her aunt, nothing wrong with that. You gotta keep your
- 58:07Speaker 1: boyfriend's house. Say nothing wrong with that. You stay over
- 58:10Speaker 1: there a lot. The problem is she, the mother in law,
- 58:16Speaker 1: has a key to the department too. Now this happened
- 58:20Speaker 1: before you got that problem. And she usually stops by
- 58:25Speaker 1: after work with her glass of wine and chill while
- 58:29Speaker 1: the traffic dies down. If she don't see my boyfriend's car,
- 58:34Speaker 1: she come on in. It won't even speak to me
- 58:36Speaker 1: if I've cooked. Now here we go. This is what
- 58:39Speaker 1: we're dealing with. Because this is gonna help you when
- 58:41Speaker 1: you get to the last part of this letter. If
- 58:44Speaker 1: I've cooked, she'll make a plate. If we have leftovers,
- 58:49Speaker 1: she'll make a plate. Now we're dealing with a big
- 58:52Speaker 1: girl here now, so you need to wait this into
- 58:56Speaker 1: this decision that you're gonna try to making this letter
- 58:59Speaker 1: later on. Well you're making place. Oh, she over there
- 59:03Speaker 1: to make plays. You know. Big people eat was on
- 59:08Speaker 1: the stove. Big people eat what's in the fridge. Big
- 59:13Speaker 1: people eat what's in fall. Big people with thought stuff
- 59:18Speaker 1: out in your freezing to get it ready. Big people
- 59:24Speaker 1: know how to work the defrost button on the microwave.
- 59:28Speaker 1: You know, I've never done that in my life. I've
- 59:30Speaker 1: never put anything in the microwave to defrost. But big
- 59:34Speaker 1: people do work from big people know how to do it.
- 59:40Speaker 1: Big people know how to defrost stuff in no time.
- 59:45Speaker 1: There's a lot of things, and one more thing big
- 59:48Speaker 1: people do not have. Aur fries. I found that our
- 59:51Speaker 1: truth truth. All right, we'll have part two of Steve's
- 59:55Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 59:58Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letters, Jack, She's got one more Time. We'll
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: get back into it right after this. You're listening hard
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: morning show. All right, Come on, Steve, let's recap today's
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: strawberry letter. The subject She's Got one more Time. Well,
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: this letter one more Time is coming from a woman
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: who has this boyfriend that she's moved into town to
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: be closer to. And she's been staying with an aunt
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: in that time. But he gave a key to his
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: one bedroom apartment and the problem is she stays over
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: there a lot, but his mother had a key to
- 1:00:31Speaker 1: the department too. Now hit the deal. She's been staying
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: over the often cooking and stuff like that, but the
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: mama stops by even if she don't see the boardfriend's
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: car the driveway, and she'll come on in anyway. And
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: won't even speak to the girl that's in the house.
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: She will eat and make a plate. And if we
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: have left over, she'll make a plate. So what I've
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: come to the conclusion is in my own conclusionary way,
- 1:01:06Speaker 1: it's just a big girl, because that's what big people do.
- 1:01:11Speaker 1: They make plates, They make plates, They do things you
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: don't do. Here's another clue that just a big person.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: They can work the defrost button on the microwave. I've
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: never done that before. I don't even know how to
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: do it. Everything I do frosts, I put in the
- 1:01:32Speaker 1: sink in some water. That's you. Well, I'm just telling you.
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: Big people ain't got time for that process. They got
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: to get this thought out. Now here's another thing I've noticed.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Here's another I can tell this way. If you dealing
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: with a big person. Big people do not have a friars.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: I'm gonna say that again, they do not have have friars.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: Here's not thing. I'm just giving you a rundown on
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: big people because this letter ain't bouy nothing. Listen, here's
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: something else you'll never find in their cupboard. Nothing that
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: says vegan or paleo. It ain't in there. They don't
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: need paleo chips. They don't do none of that. Anyway,
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: she doesn't talk to me, she don't ask me before
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: she eat our food. And after a few visit for her,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: I asked my boyfriend what she only come by when
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: I'm there by myself. He laughed and said, his mother
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: don't trust me, so she comes to keep it out
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: on me. Well, I guess she thinks I'm a thief.
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: And her son got money hidden in the walls his
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: tiny little one bed room pop here. So I decided
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: to ask her she had a problem with me? Here
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: we go, just what the letter about? Now? She got
- 1:02:56Speaker 1: up in my face, told me I was a strange
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: and didn't nobody tell me to move to her city
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: and try to marry her son. H baby over protective mama.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: Here we go. While she talked, she was spitting food
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: particles my way from between her spaced out brown teeth.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: That's because she had gnawed them down and ate them
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: to death. I'm telling you, this is a big person.
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: When your teeth is brown, they got spacing them. You
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: didn't ate them and gnawed them down. They ain't even
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: regular teeth no more. This is constituewing constantewing, you'd have
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: spread them out. You push stuff up in between your
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: teeth and kept eating anyway, and just eventually to separated
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: your teeth and brown. Now every time she talked, food
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: coming tween her teeth. This is a big girl now,
- 1:03:55Speaker 1: so you got to be careful. And your boyfriend walked in,
- 1:03:57Speaker 1: and the nick of time, she she he walked in
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: and nickata for you. I've been to tell you something.
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: I told his mom she got one more time to
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: ignore me. I told him his mom got one more
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: time to ignore me in the house and eat something.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: I cooked a ball without asking. He agreed with me
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: and asked his mama to give him the key, but
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: she refused to. He's been joking about his mom jumping
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: on me, and I don't find it fun at all.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: Should I break up with him? Well, this is the
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: part you want to avoid, young sister. Do not get
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: in the fight with the mom. Now, listen to me.
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: She ain't in good shape because of her way. But
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: the first twenty seconds though, who she gonna hurt you,
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: big girl, gonna hurt you with the brown teeth. Put
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: them spaces. Now, the ain't gonna be a fight. She
- 1:04:54Speaker 1: gonna whooped this young girl asking this letter. They eventually
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: young girl can get the best of it. She's wrong
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: and determine. But for twenty seconds though, she's gonna wish
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: she had never met his mama because she's gonna put
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: it on. She got one more time, so she started
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: whipping your asses with this feather. Looked like to me. Now,
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: I didn't want to say that to you, you know,
- 1:05:18Speaker 1: because I try to be helpful with these Not that's
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: I've been to save yourself from getting your ass beat
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: by this old, ragging and mouth, brown tooth woman with
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: wait issue and loving her son like you fin to
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: take her baby away from her. You moved to this
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: town and you're doing your thing. Now your question you have,
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: and should I break up with him? I don't think
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: this is worth breaking up. I think you got to
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: break up with the mama. Now. If he's not gonna
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: help you break up with the mama, then you're gonna
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: have to let break up with not him, You're gonna
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: have to break up with them. Start staying over yonds
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: house until he get it together. Don't come back, you
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: might you're gonna end up moving back to the city
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: you came from. Yes, she is all right. Post your
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: comments on Today's Struberry Letter at Steve Harvey FM on

- 1:06:15Speaker 1: Coming up at forty six minutes after. It's Sports Talk
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: with Junior. Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:06:23Speaker 1: All right, guys, it is time now for Junior and
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: Sports Talk. What you got Junior? Al right off? How
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: to go yesterday? I tell on the green on the course. Man, Well,
- 1:06:31Speaker 1: you know, we took third place yesterday the second golf tournament. Uh,
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: this is the big one with the most players in it.
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: And yesterday we took third place, which was big, man.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: But I forgot to put on suntan lotion on my arm.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: My moms is itching this morning. I didn't burned my
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: skin out, that stupid ass. Just like I'm standing out
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: there like I'm quite man, standing out here like white
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: like you him. Yeah, that's too late now, man, By
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: the time said, by the time Sunday get here, is
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: gonna look like a lizard. Yeah. N Also, NFL news
- 1:07:24Speaker 1: man Deshaun Watson spoke out the other day apologized for
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: bringing native attention to the city of Cleveland and the
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: Cleveland Browns and his family. And he also ended with
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: he is innocent of all charges. Also, the next thing,
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: you know, Baker Mayfield and the Browns is agreed to
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: excuse Baker from training camp Bakery. He doesn't want to
- 1:07:42Speaker 1: play in Cleveland, and this is yeah, I mean, he
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: may don't want to play, but HiT's the thing. But
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: they mutually agreed to spip. But hit the thing. With
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: everything going up with the Seaun watch, you would think
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: that Baker Will could be the backup. Says he knows
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: the team. I don't know why, little girl, but they
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: did so they don't even want that. You say they
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: released the Baker. No, no, no, they excuse him from Kim.
- 1:08:07Speaker 1: He's still in the roster. Oh he's just boy. Yeah,
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: he's still he wants to be traded. Yeah, well, and
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: that's gonna happen. They don't want him, right yeah, and
- 1:08:19Speaker 1: while and why would he go somewhere to be the
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: backup on the team that don't want him. That's not
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: good for the locker room. And we don't give a
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: damn what Baker talking about. You know, we wouldn't got
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: to Sean Watson. Now, I'm just sorry, but I happened
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: to I think something's going on with this trial with
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: him and I and I am in the innocent to
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: prove and guilty mode, and it is just too much
- 1:08:44Speaker 1: garbage in him. How you get go to grand jury
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: and now are no nothing, no evidence at all to
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: bring about a charge of this man. Something else that's
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: going on him? Man, all right, game six to night?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Do we have a champion or we got a game seven? No,
- 1:08:59Speaker 1: you're gonna game seth oh man. But I'll know it is.
- 1:09:06Speaker 1: They've beat them boards without Steph Curry last time, Steph
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: Finnihad two games like that. No, I can't see it.
- 1:09:12Speaker 1: Half Tatum got to have a good game. Oh Tatum
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: better be explosive. Yea, all right, junior, thank you. Coming
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, a lady on
- 1:09:22Speaker 1: Facebook has a social dilemma. She's being told what to
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: bring to the barbecue and she doesn't like that. We'll
- 1:09:28Speaker 1: talk about it right after this. You're listening show. All right,
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: here's a question from Facebook guys. Michelle wrote, Juneteenth and
- 1:09:39Speaker 1: Father's Day are both this weekend. There will be plenty
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: of celebrations, and I'm invited to a few barbecues and
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: I'm always happy to bring something for the party, but
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: I'm sick of hosts giving me specific instructions on what
- 1:09:52Speaker 1: to bring. I guess that they don't want a bunch
- 1:09:54Speaker 1: of overlap with what guests bring, but I also think
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: it should be my choice on what I want to contribute.
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: They always ask me to bring the potato salad, and
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: sometimes I'm just not in the mood to make potato salad.
- 1:10:07Speaker 1: It's a lot of work. I would rather just pick
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: up something simple from the store instead of spending time cooking.
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: Steve in the Morning Crew, Am I wrong for feeling
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: this way? Guests have a say and what they contribute. No,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: that's a privilege, ain't well. I'm just saying, if you,
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: if you potato salad on if we really don't like
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: everybody acting about the potato salad, that's true. But here's
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: the other side of the two. They don't like the
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: other stuff you've been baking that they didn't work it
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: out over the years. Hey, just put her put her
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: own potato salad. Come on now, because she know how
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: to do that. Because I wash y'all here when she
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: made the baked being cast on anybody saying baked meat
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: and catch bro see did you see, how was that?
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: Did you like that? No? No, did you like did
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: you did you like her real bomelet? Did you like that? Yeah?
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: When she bought the other year that brisket pipe, did
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: everybody like the brisket pipe? Let her ass, braines potato salad?
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: Don't let her do nothing else? And what about? What about?
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: What about when she was vegan? Did you remember that?
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: And she and she bought everybody them slow sandwiches? Remember that?
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: Did ya? Did? Y'all? Okay, No, get her ass the
- 1:11:39Speaker 1: brainy potato salad, damn slow sandwich in here with all
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: this barbecue sauce. I kept biting into it, thinking I
- 1:11:45Speaker 1: was missing the meat. Purpose I thought the straw bed
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: letter Mama was here and she was biting through and
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: just missing meat with them spaces and her teeth. It
- 1:11:54Speaker 1: just wasn't no damn meat on that at all. This
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: is when that, This is when you know they don't
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: want you around the food. Just bring some ice dogs,
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: just bring some plates and yeah, fine with that, go ahead. Yeah,
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: So what don't you want to see coming to the barbecue? Yeah?
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: Who who don't you want to see? Who? Who don't
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you want to see? Man? Cousin who junior. I love
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: your family, your husins man. I mean you know, you
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: know he got out of jail, but every time he
- 1:12:28Speaker 1: talked to me, he's over in the shade. It's always
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: dog herey come on, let me, I let you bring
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: your family have been in jail. I don't want to
- 1:12:36Speaker 1: talk to nobody in the corner and the dog talk out.
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: Head to the light where everybody can hear potential over stage.
- 1:12:46Speaker 1: Hey man, Hey man, I gotta lead on this keylough
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: man dog, what did you say? I got a deal
- 1:12:57Speaker 1: on this keylo You think about a little key low
- 1:13:00Speaker 1: dog dog? That ain't what I do? Hey man, do
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you know actually asked somebody ask me something like that phone?
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: Hey man, Look, I know you don't get down like this,
- 1:13:09Speaker 1: but man, I'm gonna get your money back. I said, bro,
- 1:13:12Speaker 1: what you need? Look, man, I'm gonna get your money
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: by said brother, How are you gonna get my money
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: back by Friday? I'm this dope, I said, I can't
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: give you no money on that hold on dog dog.
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: So you just said if I need some comty, damn
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: you come to me with this. Ain't nobody got to
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: know what you give me? The money fault I know,
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: I know, I'm not gonna get tired into this. No
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: kind of way, sir. Where did you get the money
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: for these key loads? Key Harvey Man, No, you did right.
- 1:13:52Speaker 1: I'm not gonna be in this. No cards away. Oh
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: damn dog, I thought you was down. You don't even
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: help a brother out. I'm trying to help you stay
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: out of prison. You're stupid ass. You just got out
- 1:14:04Speaker 1: two years ago. I can't find oh man. All right,
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: coming up in twenty minutes after the hour, we'll have
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Right after this.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, congratulations, Steve.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: This Father's Day weekend is the Stephen Marjorie Harvey Mentoring
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: camp for young men at the Harvey Legacy Ranch later today,
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: later today. Well, no, it won't no, no, it's at
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: Camp Grace this year. Okay, all right, I don't have
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: the ranch in shape yet. You know the ranch I bought,
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: it's been closed for three years because of that ranch? Though?
- 1:14:46Speaker 1: Which one the one you just bought at? Remember? Any
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: more questions? After? What? Mmm? So Steve tell us about
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: the camp? I mean there maybe some people who don't
- 1:15:09Speaker 1: know about your mentoring camp. What is it all about?
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Though it's a camp, the boys camp is for fathers.
- 1:15:16Speaker 1: Boys they're not fatherless, but they don't have fathers in
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: their lives, and they're being raised by single mothers or
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: single women or women in their family, single mothers that
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: need help or raising these boys. And so you give
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: them to me for four or five days and we
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: instill certain values in them, and we talk to them
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: about manhood and dreams. This year's focus is the dream.
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: We have a theme this year, the dream. That's so important.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: When you're dealing with boys. You have to find out
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: what their ultimate dream is. Because the dream cannot be
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: to be a gang banger. The dream cannot be to
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: set it out for your sets today. Yeah, up at
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: thirty three minutes after the hour, we'll do a round
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: off would you rather? Right after this you're listening, all right, guys,
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: time now for another round of would you rather? Would
- 1:16:12Speaker 1: you rather never ever have to get tired or never

- 1:16:45Speaker 1: for me. And now I like the feeling of being

- 1:16:53Speaker 1: I see got a heat on it? What you know?

- 1:18:21Speaker 1: no island. I'm gonna get Alan. I'm gonna get a
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: big island, all right. Last one, Would you rather sit
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: near the printer or sitting near the water cooler? Sitting
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: near the printer? Yeah, either way, I'm doing bad. I
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: don't like the water cooler and I'm working in world.
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: Remember cool work out of an officer. Hear all of
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: the video. They ain't got no bottle water? All right,
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: that's today's rounded. Would you I ain't have an assistant?
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: Go get this prison that's coming up in forty nine
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll close out the show with
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: our last break, and of course Steve will have some
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: closing remarks that you don't want to miss right after this.
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: You're listening, all right, guys. Here we are, last break
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: of the day on this Thursday, last break of the
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: day as we head into Father's Day weekend, June tenth weekend. Steve,
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: you know what my clothes remarks that day. I wanted
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: to all talk about, oh what this thing call fatherhood
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: and manhood has been for a lot of men out
- 1:19:43Speaker 1: there listening. And I don't claim to be the spokesperson
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: for fatherhood and man who But I have mastered manhood.
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: I have a PhD in manhood. You can't get any
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: more degreed or thorough into manhood as me. I don't
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: care who you are. There's not a man living who
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: can tell me anything about manhood, not manhood. I'm sorry. Now,
- 1:20:08Speaker 1: you can tell me about some situations in manhood. You can,
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: I can, I'm always capable of learning. But ain't nothing
- 1:20:16Speaker 1: else about manhood you can tell me. And most men
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: that have been around this long will tell you the
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: same thing. I have a master's PhD. I'm magnum coom lotty,
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I'm I'm, I'm all of that. I'm the what's that word?
- 1:20:37Speaker 1: I don't never get right to Valdevik? What is that dictorian? Well,
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: I thought it was a valor Victorian like victory. I
- 1:20:51Speaker 1: thought it was a valid victory in the whole time.
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: I thought it was that the whole time, because I
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: wasn't gonna get it. So anyway, when it comes to manhood,
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: I'm that, I really am. It has been an honor
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: to be a man for many of us. It has
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: been an honor and a privilege to be a father.
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: It has been an honor to be a husband. See,
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I'm involved in all three aspects of manhood, husband, father,
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: and man. I'm in all three, and I'm gonna tell
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: you something. Being a man is hard. Now, ladies, when
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: I say this is not to say that womanhood isn't
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: because I know nothing about being a woman, and from
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: my very bird point view, it looks hard to me.
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: It looks, Oh my God. And I'm not just saying
- 1:21:51Speaker 1: it because we got a lot of women listening. Being
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: a woman looks really, really hard to me. I really
- 1:21:57Speaker 1: don't know how you're doing. Childbirth is unthinkable. How you
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: deal with men and all that come with us, that's
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: a whole nother level. And then you put a baby
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: in the mix, and motherhood were a womanhood looks extremely difficult.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: So please know when I talk about the difficulties of
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: manhood is not comparing the two. But manhood is hard
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: and it comes with some things, and even though it
- 1:22:24Speaker 1: has been an honor and the privilege for being a man,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something right here, you. I was
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: talking to Charlemagne to God the other day and I
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: met his wife for the first time twenty four years,
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: and I looked at him, and she was standing there.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: We have been talking. But then later on that night
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: I saw him again and we were talking and I said, hey, man,
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: I see why you are who you are, and she
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: started smiling. I said, the success comes from you, my brother,
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: but you're great comes from her. See I've discovered this.
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: You can be a successful man, you really can. And
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: you can sign a contract, you can get a career,
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: you can get your degrees. You can become a successful man.
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: But you will never be a great man without a woman.
- 1:23:16Speaker 1: There all know great men without women. I don't know any.
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: And if you can come up with the one that
- 1:23:22Speaker 1: you think is great without a woman, you know, okay, okay, okay, okay, okay,
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: but there was a woman somewhere involved in his existence.
- 1:23:32Speaker 1: You cannot become a great man without a woman. And
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: I'm gonna tell you something about this thing called manhood.
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: You can't really know what manhood entails until you attach
- 1:23:50Speaker 1: yourself and all that comes with it to a family.
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, if you want to come see what
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: manhood really is, attach yourself to a family, brother, And
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: I mean, do it the right way. Attach yourself to
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: a woman and some children, and do it the right
- 1:24:12Speaker 1: way and watch and see what happens. If you think
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: manhood is hard, and it is. If you think manhood
- 1:24:21Speaker 1: is challenging and has a bunch of difficulties in it
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: and some bunch of tests that's hard to pass, you're
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: absolutely right. But if you think that's what it is,
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: I got some more news for you. If you really
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: want to experience real manhood and see what manhood is
- 1:24:37Speaker 1: all about, attach it to a family. Be responsible for
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: the welfare of a wife and some children, or just
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: be responsible for the welfare of a woman and children.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: She ain't even got to be your wife. But take
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: on the real manhood responsibility of caring for somebody more
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: than you care for yourself. That's the true measure of man,
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: when you love someone more than you love yourself. Now
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: you messing around with what manhood really is. You got
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: to have a baby that you would die for, a
- 1:25:10Speaker 1: baby somewhere that you would kill somebody about. Now you
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: understand what manhood is. So as we approach Father's Day
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: and manhood being all that it is, is important this
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: Father's Day as a whole nother thing. If you all
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: father get to doing your job, there are no excuses allowed.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I'm sorry. Get to doing your job as a father,
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: no matter what that means or what it takes, by
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: any means necessary. Y'all have a great one. Hey, listen,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: talk to God, y'all. He would absolutely love to hear
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: from it. For all Steve Every contests. No purchase necessary
