Senators Highlight Benefits of VAT Waiver on Renewable Energy Systems
Government Senators have welcomed the removal of VAT on photovoltaic systems, saying the measure will reduce energy costs, encourage greater use of renewable energy and support Saint Lucia’s transition away from fossil fuels. The zero-rated treatment will remain in effect for five years from August 2, 2026.
