- 2:04Speaker 1: A good morning everybody, y'all listening to the voice, come
- 2:08Speaker 1: on dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got
- 2:12Speaker 1: a radio show man. God is in a blessing business.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I'm in the receiving line, man. That's a good feeling.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I thank God for waking me up in the mornings,
- 2:24Speaker 1: I really really do. I thank God for the spirit
- 2:28Speaker 1: that he wakes me up with because I finally, but
- 2:31Speaker 1: I finally figured it out. Such a blessing that shouldn't
- 2:35Speaker 1: be taken for granted. The fact that you are up
- 2:38Speaker 1: to day, the fact that you just got off working,
- 2:40Speaker 1: you driving home, the fact that you got a job
- 2:43Speaker 1: to come home from, the fact that you got a
- 2:45Speaker 1: job to wake up too. Whatever it is the fact
- 2:49Speaker 1: that you can see think here Smeil walk talk rhyme, reason,
- 2:55Speaker 1: whatever it is, it's a blessing. Man. I was talking
- 2:58Speaker 1: to a partner of mine lad night, and an analogy
- 3:02Speaker 1: came to me last night of what my life has
- 3:04Speaker 1: been like, just going over my story with a friend
- 3:07Speaker 1: of matter, all some of the things I had gone through,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and he never knew it because he said, man, you
- 3:13Speaker 1: never told me that we were just talking. One of
- 3:16Speaker 1: the things I remember, and it's kind of equated to
- 3:20Speaker 1: my life, was when I was a little boy and
- 3:25Speaker 1: should go to the store with my mom and she
- 3:29Speaker 1: would let me buy a jigsaw puzzle. Now, for those
- 3:33Speaker 1: of you, a jigsaw puzzle comes in a box that
- 3:36Speaker 1: are no instructions. It just comes in a box and
- 3:41Speaker 1: it's simple. You're gonna dump the pieces out in a
- 3:44Speaker 1: pile and you're gonna try to put the pieces together
- 3:49Speaker 1: until it looks like the picture that's on the cover
- 3:53Speaker 1: of the box. That's as simple as it is. Here
- 3:59Speaker 1: is the d I would select a jigsaw puzzle based
- 4:06Speaker 1: on the picture that I liked and if I thought
- 4:13Speaker 1: I could do it. Now, if the picture looked too crazy,
- 4:17Speaker 1: if it looked too intricate, I didn't want that puzzle,
- 4:22Speaker 1: you know. And the thing was back in the day.
- 4:24Speaker 1: You got a jigsaw puzzle, you had a hundred piece puzzles.
- 4:27Speaker 1: Four hundred piece puzzles. Man, then they say a thousand
- 4:30Speaker 1: piece puzzle. You go, oh. So those were a little
- 4:35Speaker 1: difficult for me when I was a little boy, so
- 4:38Speaker 1: I didn't want that. As I got a little bit older,
- 4:42Speaker 1: I had more challenging puzzles, you know, four fifty five
- 4:46Speaker 1: hundred piece puzzles. But I always picked a picture of
- 4:52Speaker 1: something I liked. So it's very simple. You get the
- 4:56Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle, you get it home, you open it up,
- 4:58Speaker 1: you dump it out on the table. You flip all
- 5:01Speaker 1: the pieces over so you can see them, and then
- 5:06Speaker 1: I would try to saw them based on the colors
- 5:08Speaker 1: on the box. If it was like a black section,
- 5:12Speaker 1: I'd take all the black pieces and slide them over there.
- 5:14Speaker 1: If it was some flowers, I try to find all
- 5:17Speaker 1: the pictures with little jigsaw pieces with the little floor
- 5:20Speaker 1: and I separate them. And then I started putting it together.
- 5:23Speaker 1: And the way I started was I try to build
- 5:25Speaker 1: a border first, because I knew all the straight edges
- 5:29Speaker 1: had to be side by side at one point. And
- 5:32Speaker 1: it was funny, man, because it's related to my life.
- 5:36Speaker 1: I would start putting the pieces together of the picture
- 5:40Speaker 1: I saw that I liked, and that would be my picture.
- 5:46Speaker 1: A lot of people didn't like Jig saw puzzles. As
- 5:50Speaker 1: a matter of fact, none of the boys on the
- 5:52Speaker 1: street like Jig saw puzzles but me, because they just
- 5:55Speaker 1: didn't want to go through the intricate details of figuring
- 5:59Speaker 1: that out. Really go outside and run or something like that.
- 6:03Speaker 1: And so what happened was, as I got older, I
- 6:07Speaker 1: wanted more difficult than challenging puzzles, but I wouldn't go
- 6:11Speaker 1: too far. I wanted some nice stuff to happen. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: had a picture of what I wanted for my life,
- 6:17Speaker 1: but I didn't want to go too far because it
- 6:20Speaker 1: was so challenging and difficult. I couldn't see myself at
- 6:24Speaker 1: all of that, and I didn't have the time, the knowledge,
- 6:27Speaker 1: the expertise to figuring all the intricate details. And I
- 6:32Speaker 1: discovered something when I was talking last night. That's what
- 6:37Speaker 1: happens in life to a lot of people. You get
- 6:40Speaker 1: bogged down with the details of coming up and trying
- 6:43Speaker 1: to create the picture that you want for yourself. You
- 6:46Speaker 1: put it to the side. You said, ah, that puzs
- 6:48Speaker 1: are crazy. Next thing, you know, you crumbled it up
- 6:51Speaker 1: and put it back in the box. So you go
- 6:53Speaker 1: halfway and you get stuck, and you get to the
- 6:55Speaker 1: part where it ain't a lot of different colors, it's
- 6:57Speaker 1: all the same, and that's a little bit more challenge.
- 7:00Speaker 1: So that may stop you. But it's somewhere in the
- 7:02Speaker 1: jigsaw puzzle that it gets very difficult and challenging. The
- 7:07Speaker 1: bigger the picture you want, but then what a happened
- 7:11Speaker 1: in your life, it's just like what a happened in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the jigsaw. Once you get comfortable and you don't mind
- 7:18Speaker 1: a challenge, you could get a bigger picture. But here's
- 7:24Speaker 1: the key to it, though, if you put God in
- 7:27Speaker 1: your mix. See the picture that I saw for myself
- 7:31Speaker 1: as a boy is not the picture that has happened
- 7:35Speaker 1: to me as a man. Because along the way from
- 7:38Speaker 1: boyhood to manhood, from the time I was ten, you
- 7:42Speaker 1: understand what happened along the riding now was I started
- 7:47Speaker 1: putting God in the mix. And so now the picture
- 7:51Speaker 1: that I have now is not the picture I saw.
- 7:54Speaker 1: It's the picture that God saw. So what I'm saying
- 7:58Speaker 1: this analogy is the picture you have may be difficult
- 8:03Speaker 1: to complete. But if you were to include God in
- 8:07Speaker 1: your life, put God in your jigsaw puzzle, God will
- 8:12Speaker 1: not only help you complete the puzzle, and he gonna
- 8:15Speaker 1: add some pieces, he gonna do some favors, he gonna
- 8:19Speaker 1: show some mercy, and you're gonna look up and the
- 8:21Speaker 1: picture that you're able to end up with or be
- 8:24Speaker 1: totally different and much more complete, much more beautiful or
- 8:28Speaker 1: bigger picture than the one you had. Because there's no
- 8:32Speaker 1: way that I could have saw the life that I
- 8:34Speaker 1: have today back when I was a boy. And it
- 8:38Speaker 1: amazes me when I hear people say I always saw
- 8:40Speaker 1: this for myself. I didn't do that. I didn't quite
- 8:44Speaker 1: see this for myself. I don't know how you can
- 8:46Speaker 1: have the ability to see what God really has for you.
- 8:49Speaker 1: But man, he's a masterful jigsaw man. He's an incredible
- 8:54Speaker 1: puzzle completer. So if you got a puzzle that's challenging
- 8:57Speaker 1: to you, maybe you need to see what the picture
- 9:00Speaker 1: that God has for your life. If God were in
- 9:04Speaker 1: your life, if you completed the puzzle, what would it
- 9:09Speaker 1: look like. It'll be a far more extensive puzzle and
- 9:13Speaker 1: it would be a far more beautiful piece of scenery
- 9:16Speaker 1: than you could have ever imagined. Tears come in my
- 9:19Speaker 1: eyes because I can't believe God bought me this far.
- 9:23Speaker 1: I can't believe that when I opened up and accepted
- 9:26Speaker 1: him and started talking to him, that he would add
- 9:29Speaker 1: all these pieceles to my jigsaw puzzle, and my jigsaw
- 9:32Speaker 1: puzzle would look like this. And I can tell you
- 9:35Speaker 1: I ain't got a whole lot to do with with
- 9:38Speaker 1: with what I had and turned into, it's mostly favored
- 9:41Speaker 1: and blessings and grace and mercy of God. And I
- 9:44Speaker 1: looked up and I just got a much bigger jigsaw
- 9:47Speaker 1: puzzle completed. And guess what, He ain't through with me yet.
- 9:50Speaker 1: That's what's amazing and exciting about a relationship with God.
- 9:55Speaker 1: God could take your jigsaw puzzle and fix it. Morning show,
- 10:03Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, man have your attention please. Uh it's
- 10:06Speaker 1: Monday morning. It's the beginning of a new week. But
- 10:09Speaker 1: it's the same damn thing up in here. Reeving to
- 10:12Speaker 1: turn up this volume, create this ignance and be botty
- 10:17Speaker 1: bout it, dog gone it. Shirley Strong. We let Steve,
- 10:22Speaker 1: we let Oh, that's we let Steve. We love man.
- 10:36Speaker 1: We live fun. That was fun. It's young people listening
- 10:42Speaker 1: to this show going we live and they probably ain't
- 10:47Speaker 1: even saying that no more. They say still saying we live. Said,
- 10:55Speaker 1: I'm scared to use modern day slang. I'm still going.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I'm still doing you know, what's happen for the playoff?
- 11:02Speaker 1: You know that way? I know, I know it's out
- 11:04Speaker 1: of style and all my talk is out of style.
- 11:09Speaker 1: We let bla for rel what's happening? We bought that life?
- 11:14Speaker 1: What's going on? Junior? You got one? I just gonna say,
- 11:19Speaker 1: morning on my Tommy. You got one lit light lit,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm living my bath life. Yeah, now, dude, this one
- 11:29Speaker 1: still work turned up? Yeah, that was still work on
- 11:35Speaker 1: what it is? What was good was good? Everybody cool? Man?
- 11:46Speaker 1: My man? Slapping five? You did that? You may as
- 11:54Speaker 1: well throw it right on in their step. I still
- 11:57Speaker 1: say right on, still say a man. When I talk
- 12:01Speaker 1: to my older brother, it's it's it's like talking to
- 12:04Speaker 1: Marvin gay Sun. I'm talking to them, Hey, what's up drunk?
- 12:11Speaker 1: What's happening with you? Something? Man? Give me some of
- 12:14Speaker 1: that skin, man, some skin that's five on the black hand,
- 12:20Speaker 1: keeping like that. It's all right, man, right on? What's
- 12:22Speaker 1: been going on with you? Play you still doing it,
- 12:25Speaker 1: ain't you? You know, people ain't easy, but somebody gonna
- 12:28Speaker 1: doing it might be to me. Yeah, what's up? What's up? Timmy?
- 12:36Speaker 1: One of my little girls, one of the prayers of
- 12:38Speaker 1: the I was saying, mister Timmy, you lit, I said, baby,
- 12:40Speaker 1: I said, baby, I don't. I don't. I don't smoke
- 12:42Speaker 1: with I don't know what you're talking about. Say what?
- 12:49Speaker 1: That couldn't be a drop reference time either way. I
- 12:53Speaker 1: wasn't there. I don't know. I don't know what litt Yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: especially in front of your kids, know what. You gotta
- 12:59Speaker 1: stay fresh and hip, Tommy. We got younger kids too,
- 13:02Speaker 1: you know. Hey, hey, hey, let me tell you what
- 13:05Speaker 1: I did. One day in Atlanta. I came out of
- 13:07Speaker 1: my officer with my shirt open, and my kids friends
- 13:10Speaker 1: was in the house. When you say, Dad, your shirt
- 13:13Speaker 1: is open, I said, I live here. Tell all your
- 13:17Speaker 1: little flat stomach as turn around quick looking over here.
- 13:21Speaker 1: But it's so funny, Steve, You're right because we're at
- 13:24Speaker 1: an age now where everything we do embarrasses our kids.
- 13:27Speaker 1: There's nothing that we can do that where our kids
- 13:30Speaker 1: think we're cool. Nothing. All right, Listen, coming up in
- 13:34Speaker 1: thirty two, after the hour. We'll have more of the
- 13:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Shock right after this. Wait, let we
- 13:39Speaker 1: let turn up. You're listening to show. All right, guys,
- 13:46Speaker 1: it is time to start the morning off with the

- 17:07Speaker 1: ain't gonna be nice with you in your rubber glove,
- 17:10Speaker 1: sick rebb glove. When I'm done with you, don't be
- 17:13Speaker 1: coming about my hot time by taking my prop state, Sir, sir,
- 17:16Speaker 1: do you realize that this is the leading calls the
- 17:18Speaker 1: black man? Do you realize that I understand that they
- 17:22Speaker 1: ain't black men? Three out of five black men are
- 17:26Speaker 1: lost every year, So you ought to be very grateful
- 17:31Speaker 1: that someone is sending me by there to check it
- 17:32Speaker 1: and make sure you're okay. I'm grateful that I can
- 17:34Speaker 1: play for a doctor that I go to every every
- 17:37Speaker 1: at once a year. Man. You don't have to come
- 17:38Speaker 1: to my hot time a by sticking on rubber glove
- 17:40Speaker 1: of me. Man's phone with you, sir. So I'm not

- 42:06Speaker 1: this one. Donald Trump will cut up. Man. He's acting
- 42:19Speaker 1: the food. He letting the new job go straight to
- 42:21Speaker 1: his head. I got I got a part of mine
- 42:24Speaker 1: in the joint, right, so I go to see him.
- 42:27Speaker 1: He worked in the furniture department right now. The people
- 42:30Speaker 1: in the furniture department and make three cents hour. The
- 42:32Speaker 1: other workers make two cents hour. Do you know that
- 42:35Speaker 1: the three centers talk trash to the two centers? How
- 42:39Speaker 1: money are you making? Two center? You ain't making no money?
- 42:43Speaker 1: When you start to make some cash, talk to me.
- 42:48Speaker 1: Oh man, I feel a new position, go to head,
- 42:51Speaker 1: let it go right to let it go right to
- 42:53Speaker 1: their head. And you know what when I can't understand no, man,
- 42:57Speaker 1: is that when you do get a new position, I
- 42:59Speaker 1: comebody else got to call you by your last name
- 43:02Speaker 1: like you just you was Charles yesterday. Don't you expect
- 43:07Speaker 1: us call you, mister Jakes. We gotta call you missus Jacks. Yeah,
- 43:10Speaker 1: not today was Charles yestern They just gave your hold on,
- 43:17Speaker 1: hold on, hold on hold. I know you ain't put
- 43:19Speaker 1: a sign in front of your parking space at the job.

- 43:39Speaker 1: It goes to their head. Oh you got a new position,
- 43:42Speaker 1: but you're still getting the ride to work with me.

- 52:45Speaker 1: other keys, they are sending the dude's head back in
- 52:48Speaker 1: the basket. Yeah, that's where that came from. Don't kill

- 53:42Speaker 1: is the Strawberry Letter. All right, Thank you, nephew. Subject
- 53:46Speaker 1: his wife's picture is on the nightstand. Dear Stephen Shirley.
- 53:51Speaker 1: I'm a fifty three year old single female and I've
- 53:54Speaker 1: been casually dating a man for three years. His wife
- 53:58Speaker 1: died six years ago, and he's a single dad raising
- 54:02Speaker 1: a daughter. He lives in my complex and when we met,
- 54:05Speaker 1: we instantly clicked and started dating. After a few months
- 54:09Speaker 1: of dating, he told me he wanted to take a
- 54:11Speaker 1: break so he could focus on his daughter. That was
- 54:15Speaker 1: three years ago, and I showed support by cooking for
- 54:18Speaker 1: him occasionally and showing up at some of his daughter's
- 54:21Speaker 1: basketball games. He was happy that I was so understanding. Recently,
- 54:27Speaker 1: we talked about getting back together and I told him
- 54:30Speaker 1: that's all I ever wanted. We decided to be exclusive
- 54:34Speaker 1: and talked a lot about our future together. But there's
- 54:37Speaker 1: one thing, one problem, and I need your advice. When
- 54:42Speaker 1: I'm over at his place, I am bothered by the
- 54:45Speaker 1: constant reminders of his wife. The kitchen is just as
- 54:50Speaker 1: she left it, down to the notes on the fridge.
- 54:53Speaker 1: Then I spent the night with him, and I was
- 54:56Speaker 1: shocked to see a picture of him and his wife
- 54:58Speaker 1: on the nightstand. The ure was not there three years
- 55:01Speaker 1: ago when I stayed with him. I told him that
- 55:03Speaker 1: the picture made me uncomfortable, and he said it had
- 55:06Speaker 1: been in his drawer for years, and his daughter found
- 55:09Speaker 1: it and put it by his bed. I can't tell
- 55:12Speaker 1: this man how to grieve the loss of his wife,
- 55:14Speaker 1: and I feel sorry for his daughter, but I'm not
- 55:17Speaker 1: going to act like this is okay. There are several
- 55:20Speaker 1: family pictures throughout the house, and I try to overlook them.
- 55:23Speaker 1: He's a great man. He loves that we can be
- 55:26Speaker 1: honest with each other about everything. So is this one
- 55:29Speaker 1: of the things I should be honest about? How should
- 55:31Speaker 1: I handle this? Well, if you guys have that agreement
- 55:34Speaker 1: that you can be honest with each other, yeah, you
- 55:36Speaker 1: can be honest about it. I think you are right.
- 55:40Speaker 1: You cannot tell this man how long to grieve. You
- 55:43Speaker 1: can't do that. It's his late wife and it was
- 55:47Speaker 1: six years ago, so it's going to take however long
- 55:49Speaker 1: it's going to take. I mean, these things do take time.
- 55:53Speaker 1: But you can certainly help him move forward and find
- 55:56Speaker 1: happiness again. You've been a supportive friend, you said, with
- 56:00Speaker 1: cooking and going to his daughter's basketball games and things
- 56:03Speaker 1: like that. But after three years, I think it's definitely
- 56:08Speaker 1: time to move the relationship out of the casual zone.
- 56:10Speaker 1: You guys have decided to do that, and that's a
- 56:14Speaker 1: good thing. You want to be exclusive, because what you
- 56:16Speaker 1: don't want is for another woman to come in and
- 56:18Speaker 1: just swoop him from right under your nose. You said,
- 56:21Speaker 1: he's a great man. You don't want that. I really
- 56:25Speaker 1: think you should, you know, not let the pictures bother
- 56:28Speaker 1: you so much. Okay, it just considered a sweet memory
- 56:32Speaker 1: of his late wife for him and his baby girl,
- 56:35Speaker 1: his daughter. I mean, you were gone for a while,
- 56:37Speaker 1: so they just put the pictures back out. I think
- 56:40Speaker 1: in due time, once you guys get closer, more serious,
- 56:43Speaker 1: maybe marriage, and because I'm sure that's what you want,
- 56:47Speaker 1: you can move the pictures maybe to the office or
- 56:49Speaker 1: to the family room. Hopefully the daughter won't be offended
- 56:53Speaker 1: by that and she won't resent you for that. If
- 56:56Speaker 1: you still, you know, want to bring it up, I
- 56:58Speaker 1: just say, you know, be kind about about it, be patient,
- 57:01Speaker 1: wait for the right moment, don't say anything crazy. I
- 57:05Speaker 1: think it's a good thing that you're helping him move
- 57:07Speaker 1: on with your life. And I you know, I wish
- 57:09Speaker 1: you guys the best. Steve fifty three year old lady
- 57:14Speaker 1: casually dating a man for three years, casually dating and
- 57:19Speaker 1: takes this letter all out of focus for me. His
- 57:24Speaker 1: wife died six years ago. He's a single dad raising
- 57:27Speaker 1: a daughter. He lives in my complex and when we met,
- 57:30Speaker 1: we clicked instantly and started dating. After a few months
- 57:34Speaker 1: of dating, he told me he wanted to take a
- 57:35Speaker 1: break so he could focus on his daughter. What what
- 57:40Speaker 1: man tells a woman he gonna stop seeing her so
- 57:45Speaker 1: he can focus on his daughter? You fifty three? Howl?
- 57:54Speaker 1: Is this man? So let's see here? Was his wife
- 57:59Speaker 1: a little bit young girl? Maybe his wife was forty,
- 58:03Speaker 1: his daughter's twenty living at home. I don't know. I
- 58:06Speaker 1: don't know, but I don't know. Nobody that tells a woman,
- 58:09Speaker 1: y'all wasn't doing them occasually dating. You said that yourself,
- 58:13Speaker 1: he don't want to see you no more because he
- 58:14Speaker 1: want to spend some time with his daughter. Okay, cool,
- 58:17Speaker 1: it's over, But it wasn't really over then. That was
- 58:21Speaker 1: three years ago, and you kept on hanging in there
- 58:25Speaker 1: by cooking for him, occasionally show him up some of
- 58:29Speaker 1: his daughter's basketball games. Okay, so she probably high school
- 58:32Speaker 1: or college oneted the two. He was happy that she
- 58:35Speaker 1: was understanding. Recently, recently we talked about getting back together,
- 58:41Speaker 1: and I told him that's all I ever wanted. Y'all
- 58:46Speaker 1: have talked about being together before. That's what broke y'all
- 58:51Speaker 1: up after the three years of casual dating. Huh, do
- 58:57Speaker 1: you understand what I'm saying to you? Dad's one problem.
- 59:01Speaker 1: I need your advice when I'm over at his place.
- 59:03Speaker 1: I'm bothered by the constant reminders of the wife. The
- 59:06Speaker 1: kitchen is just as she left it. Well, he wasn't
- 59:10Speaker 1: in that cooking, so she left some of stuff. He
- 59:15Speaker 1: liked where her where she hung the pots she liked,
- 59:18Speaker 1: He liked where she put the spoons, He liked the
- 59:22Speaker 1: way the stuff is just habit. What swan she dying? There?
- 59:27Speaker 1: Let's change his kitchen round because it's too much like
- 59:30Speaker 1: your damn mama. What was he supposed to say to
- 59:32Speaker 1: his daughter? And then said, I spent the night with him,
- 59:37Speaker 1: and I was shocked to see a picture of him
- 59:38Speaker 1: and his wife on the knight stand. They slept in
- 59:41Speaker 1: that bed. That ain't bother the ass. Not a picture
- 59:44Speaker 1: got you tripping. She looking at us, she is, said
- 59:51Speaker 1: that woman. She looking at us, she is well. At first,
- 59:56Speaker 1: two seves respond her bad. At twenty three minutes after
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: the hour, damn hospers. We'll be back at twenty three
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: minutes after the hours. Subject for today his wife's pictures
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: on the nightstand. We'll get back into it right after this.

- 1:00:54Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject. His wife's picture is on
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: the nightstand. This lady dating this man. Wife been deceased.
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: He raised his daughter. They broke up so he could
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: spend time with his daughter. That's what he told her,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: which ain't true. They've been talking about getting back together.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: You for the three years, been cooking for him. You said,
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: that's all you've ever wanted. And then y'all started talking
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: about y'all's future together. But here the problem she got.
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: When I'm over at his place, I'm bothered by the
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: constant reminders of his wife. Oh you mean, like that's
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: her house that wanted to remind us you talking about
- 1:01:35Speaker 1: you come up, that's the cow she sent home, that's
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: her TV. That's what she arranged her living room. And
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: then and then she said, the kitchen is just as
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: she left it, down to the notes on the refrigerator.
- 1:01:49Speaker 1: Eat your vegetables, back up some milk. Yeah, I love you.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: Have a nice day. Oh that's getting on your damn nerves.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: When I spent the night with him, I was shocked
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: to see a picture of him and his wife on
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: the knife stand. She lived down. That was a picture
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: of him on the knife stand. Befoul now, she said,
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: the picture was not that three years ago when I
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: stayed with it. But you've been going for a while,
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: he probably said to his daughter. I showed mission mom,
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: and she said with Dad, I'm gonna put the picture
- 1:02:23Speaker 1: back out for you now if you ain't bothered it
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: by being in this woman's bad What the hell is
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: this picture bug in you? Fall? I know why because
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: she looking because she's looking. Yeah, she's looking bad at
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: exactly now. It ain't bothered in his ass, but it's
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: bothered in you, you know, and it may And that
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: picture made me uncomfortably. He said it had been in
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: this drawer for years, and his daughter found it and
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: put it by his bed. So what he gonna do?
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: Take it off? You over there, lady, Come on now,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: you roll now until this gets somewhere else. But I
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: can't tell this man how to grieve the loss of
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: his wife. Okay, so what we're typing his letter? Fall,
- 1:03:08Speaker 1: I'll tell you why, because I feel sorry for his daughter,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: But I'm not gonna act like this is okay, okay cool,
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: But right now it's not your house. It's still his
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: house and his daughter is there and it's their house. Remember,
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: see you just got back in. See you're gonna mess
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: around to be out for you get back all the
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: way in that what you're ass fing to do. I'm
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: just telling you right now, your ass Finn to mess
- 1:03:34Speaker 1: around to be out. So you said something before, that's
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: why he said we need a break. Now you're gonna
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: come back in that trip. Oh I'm trying to tell
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: you now you're gonna come back in there with this
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: little buffalo moved right here. I'm over here. I want
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: all these notes down out this kitchen and let's change
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: why these blasts and stuff is. I don't want none
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: a hound here no more? What your ass Finn to
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: mess around and be out? Lady? Now, she said, there
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: are several family pictures throughout the house, and I try
- 1:03:59Speaker 1: to overlooked them. His family pictures. It's him, his wife,
- 1:04:04Speaker 1: his daughter. You know they got life together. You can't
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: just throw that out the wonder because your ass want
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: to sleep with him. That ain't the way this work. Lady.
- 1:04:13Speaker 1: You trip it. Man, he loved this woman he married. Huh,
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: you all are casually dating. This is your words and
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: your letter. He loves that. I could that. We can
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: be honest with each other and everything. So it's just
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: one of the things I should be honest about. How
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: should I handling run over there and say something that
- 1:04:31Speaker 1: man about his wife. Go in there and say something
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: to this man about his family pictures up there on
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: that wall and his daughters still live there, Going over there,
- 1:04:39Speaker 1: going over there. Why don't you do this? Why don't
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: you have stim and stay at your house until everything
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: smooths out. Why don't you just do that? No, but
- 1:04:50Speaker 1: you want everybody taking stuff down at the house because
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: your ass is over there. I don't even know if
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: you want to consider this right here, but I'm gonna
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: just throw this head out. She ain't dead. What she
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: coming home? I'm just gonna throw that out there. I
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: don't want to put that in the mix. Why are you?
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: I just want to just put that out there for you.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: She ain't dead. Hey, he ain't seen her. She broke
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: it off. Hey, doc dog, she just over cousin's house.
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: He's been working it out to get her sympathy vote. Okay,
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: I don't know. Hey, I'm just throwing that out there,
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: something for you to consider. All these notes are still
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: over there, and the notes to change you. You better
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: start reading them notes careful. You're gonna to listen. A
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: note on the let me catch your ass in here?

- 1:09:41Speaker 1: me is someone chasing me. Oh that dream. I hate
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: that dream. No falling. I was falling and waving at
- 1:09:51Speaker 1: people that I remember every even don't even everybody. Way
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: out of here. Nice knowing you my mom. Okay, we'll
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: be back. You're listening show. Our doctors are finding that
- 1:10:12Speaker 1: the number of middle age, middle aged men who injure
- 1:10:16Speaker 1: themselves while having sex is on the rise. Guys, okay,
- 1:10:21Speaker 1: and they say adventurous sex is to blame for the spike.
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: I just heard myself the night. Oh did, I'm sorry,
- 1:10:30Speaker 1: you're part of the statistics. My right leg be cramping
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: all the time. When I hit a lock up pretty bad,
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: I had to strand it out. Yeah, and you all
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: comfortable with sharing that information. I had so much baby
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: all on my hand. I was getting out to bed
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: and have my hand on the edge of the knife.
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: Then he slipped off out to bust my whole job. Yeah,
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: most of the injuries are occurring in the showers, Steve.
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: That includes oh no, no, no, no, no, that ain't
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: what they have. Man. One time, like a couple of
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: weeks ago, I was coming out the bedroom fast, coming
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: out the bathroom, real fair, and I dove on the bed,
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: but we had satin sheets and shot my ass straight
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: to the other side. I slam dead into that day
- 1:11:19Speaker 1: wall had too much speed, too much, Yes, trying to
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: make a glorious like maybe y'all come ship right across
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: the sheeting. It's hard to fall in against the wall
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: when you make it. It's always a performance, man, Huh.
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: You gotta perform huh. And then one time across the ball,
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: walking across the bottom of the footbaard, you know, trying
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: to do like I was a balance being because sometimes
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I do like individual performances before I start now. And
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: I was walking across the bottom of the football like
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: a balance beams over my foot. I slipped off like
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: I was on damn balance me. Well, almost were almost
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: ruined my life. Yeah, you just fell off. That's where
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: these stats is coming from. Wow. Well, anyway, I don't
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: worry about that story. And then the other and the
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: other time I was. I was diving off the doknob,
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: which is like one of my specialties do on the doknob,
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: dive off the doknob, and I come off in a
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: swan dive and I bust that into a jackknife, and
- 1:12:32Speaker 1: I messed around and had locked the dough, but I
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: had better on my head when I locked it dough
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: and got from the top of the doknob with my
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: right foot and tried to push off, and it slipped
- 1:12:43Speaker 1: and I never made it to the bad injury Right there,
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: I fell a knocking base over a cup of chess.
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: Over you bleed. It wasn't bad, you know, just a
- 1:12:55Speaker 1: little a couple of scars, you know. Uh, this past
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: when I told all the drapes down in the bed room,
- 1:13:03Speaker 1: I had put a lot of baby all on both
- 1:13:05Speaker 1: of us. That we was up against the wall and
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: we started sliding and I tried to stop to fall
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: and grab the drapes, but we kept falling. Yeah, and
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: so I tore down two sections of drapes. Treatments are ruined.
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: So you're never in pain or anything so much so
- 1:13:23Speaker 1: that you can't you know that you have to cancel
- 1:13:25Speaker 1: the night or anything. Hunh you know, you know sometimes
- 1:13:28Speaker 1: I had to get you know, glass of scotch, you
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: something to get get. Yeah, sometimes got to be willing
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: to try to shirt. Okay, But I didn't know all
- 1:13:38Speaker 1: this about Steve that. Yeah a lot doesn't it got
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: a lot of yeah, yeah, a lot of baby all over.
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: I did out the bathtub one time. Foot slipped huh
- 1:13:49Speaker 1: on that slick ass tie flow, and I told so
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: much stuff down off of that vanity. Everything was are
- 1:14:02Speaker 1: you fald? Is that go? Dude? I told a hot
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: and cold Fawcett right after dope, you're listening to. A
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: thirty four year old businessman from Fort Myers, Florida, was
- 1:14:24Speaker 1: arrested on his wedding night, On his wedding night now
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: for soliciting a prostitute. He and his wife honeymooned in Tampa, Florida,
- 1:14:33Speaker 1: and just six hours, six hours after his wedding, while
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: his wife was asleep, he looked online for sex and
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: he arranged to meet a prostitute at a Tampa hotel.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: What when he got to the hotel, he was arrested
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: by an undercover detective who would post as a prostitute online.
- 1:14:52Speaker 1: The groom, Yes, the groom was one of one hundred
- 1:14:55Speaker 1: and seventy six men arrested that night in the sting.
- 1:14:59Speaker 1: Is that crazy? He's on his wedding night in jail
- 1:15:02Speaker 1: because because here was happening on a lot of wedding nights,
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: the woman be so tired and exhausted from the events. Yeah,
- 1:15:13Speaker 1: it don't be the night that everybody think it's gonna be.
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: And so he got up and went on down there
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: and tried to get himself tightened up. And then that
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: when he got caught, what he tried to say was
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: he was a part of the sting and went down
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: there to show him how how people do help the police.
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: You know, I'm just down here trying to show him.
- 1:15:33Speaker 1: Look y'all to start looking out for this stuff, because
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: this is how easy it can happen. Yeah, here I am,
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: and you trying to handcut me. Pick your hands off
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: for me. I was just down. I knew who this was.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Just trying to help y'all. But do you think he's
- 1:15:48Speaker 1: still married Steve? He's in trouble because he can't get
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: out of this one. We'll have more of the Steve
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: Hartley Morning Show coming up in thirty three minutes after
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: we'll play a round of would you rather? Right after
- 1:16:02Speaker 1: this you're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. It
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: is time now for a round of would you rather?
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: Would you rather tell your partner you're having an affair
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: or would you rather your partner tell you that they're
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: having an affair? Neither? And that's just way. I ain't wrong, Yes,
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: this is about your you're wait a minute, you ain't wrong.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: You the one wrong. So hey, it's on you, junior, Junior, Junior,
- 1:16:35Speaker 1: let's go Junior. That's logic because I'm going with you wrong,
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: so I I get to cush you out. You got
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the power. Ain't You're wrong? Would you rather tell your
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: partner you're having an affair? Or would you rather them
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: tell you they're having an affair with a You can't
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: take that they're having an affair. B B. I'm going
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: to prison. I'm gonna get my ass whip and lose everything.
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: And I'll get that twice already. It ain't neither one
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: of them had a divorce before, and ain't either one
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: of them had to walk in and make that announcement.
- 1:17:20Speaker 1: I have. I have experience at making that announcement. Steve
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: gonna go with a B. Final final answer is yeah,
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: B is two life sentences without parole. Yeah, so, ain't
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: gonna need to me all right? Would you rather live
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: in the best house in the worst neighborhood or the
- 1:17:43Speaker 1: worst house in the best neighborhood. Yeah, I'm gonna take
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: the worst house in the best neighborhood. Yeah. Yeah, you
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: can feel how you want to feel about me. That's
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: the bottom of the rich. I take that. I've lived
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: in the best house in the worst neighborhood. Nobody got
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: sleep and nobody knew it until I went to other
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: people's houses. I really I realized, Man, we got the
- 1:18:10Speaker 1: best house on the street, and you could drive down
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: the street go look at all the ragged ass. I've
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: already lived in the best house in the ragged ass neighbor.
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: I've done that and no one knew it. All right,
- 1:18:27Speaker 1: we could get to this one quickly. Would you rather
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: have a bell go off every time you're turned on
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: or have to say all your thoughts out loud during sex?
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Don't go off every time you're turned on, or have
- 1:18:42Speaker 1: have to say all your thoughts out loud during sex? Yeah,
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: you let the bell go off of me? He didn't
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: even every time. I rather had it? No, no, hell no,
- 1:18:50Speaker 1: I won't get no damn sleep. All right, say everything
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: you think and doing sex. That's what I do. Anyway
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: out forty nine minutes after the hour. It's our last
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: break of the day, Steve Harvey, right, system you're listening
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: to all right, guys, here we are our last break
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: of the day on this Monday. It's been a good Monday,
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: Yes it has. Let's do it all right, Steve, it's
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: time for your closing remarks. Um. Today I want to
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: talk to you about a subject about how to succeed
- 1:19:38Speaker 1: in spite of lack of support. Let me say that again,
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: how to succeed in spite of lack of support? You know, Uh,
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: it's hard, it's hard, it really really is to make
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: it without a support system. But it's doable. But even
- 1:20:01Speaker 1: if you don't have support around you initially, you can
- 1:20:05Speaker 1: find support because see, support doesn't have to be for
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: your specific idea. It's just you just have to have
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: someone to support the fact that you want to become better.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: So the best way to do that is surround yourself
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: with some people who want to become better. You don't
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: have to become better at the same thing or have
- 1:20:26Speaker 1: the same interest, just the mere fact that everybody you
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: start associating yourself with wants to be better. That is
- 1:20:35Speaker 1: plenty of support. The fact that nobody believes specifically in
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: your dreams, nah, you don't need that. But the fact
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: that somebody will support your dreams no matter what they
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: are because you dare to dream them. That's what you're
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: looking for. So don't get too bit out of shape
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: when people don't support your dreams. A lot of times
- 1:20:59Speaker 1: people don't support your dreams because they just don't. The
- 1:21:03Speaker 1: first of all, they don't get it. God didn't give
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: them the same vision he gave you. That's why sharing
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: your dreams with people is so tough sometimes, because if
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: you want to kill a big dream. I've often said
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: this many times before, But if you want to kill
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: a big dream, didn't tell it to a small minded person.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: That's the fastest way to kill it. But you can
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: also kill it by expecting them to see what you
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: see because they're not. They can't see what you see.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: God did not place it in their imagination. See, your
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: imagination is yours. Albert Einstein said, imagination is everything. It's
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: the preview to life's coming attractions. One more time, Albert
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: Einstein said, imagination is everything. It's the preview to life's
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: coming attraction. But your imagination is also the evidence of
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: things not seen, which is the second half of very
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: very powerful scripture that says faith it's a substance of
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: Your imagination is the second half of that scripture. When
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: they say the evidence of things not seen, it's a
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: reference to your imagination. See, imagination is everything. It's the
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: previatialized coming attraction. But your imagination comes from God. So
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: it is the evidence of things not seen. And the
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: reason they say is evidence of things not seen because
- 1:22:38Speaker 1: your imagination, you're the only one that can see it.
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: You can't expect nobody else to see it. Because God
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: didn't put it in their head. But your imagination is
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: actually a preview of a coming attraction that God has
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: for you. That's actually what your imagination is. If you
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: could wrap your mind around that concept, folk, it would
- 1:23:00Speaker 1: serve you well. Because I used to did not understand
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: my imagination. Why does it keep going to all of
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: these places? Why does my imagination keep getting away from me?
- 1:23:10Speaker 1: Like this man? My imagination wasn't getting away from me.
- 1:23:14Speaker 1: It was taking me places. It was taking me places
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: through the form of imagination that I would dare to
- 1:23:20Speaker 1: dream of. My imagination was so explicit and so big.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: It had me seeing stuff in myself that it had
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: me seeing stuff about myself that I didn't know about myself.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: I didn't know that my imagination would take me here.
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: And really, God has taken me further than my imagination
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: because He has this thing called grace. So what it is,
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: y'all is, Look, how do you succeed in spite of
- 1:23:54Speaker 1: lack of support? Your dreams, your vision, your imagination. Put
- 1:23:58Speaker 1: them in front of you. Let that be your motivation.
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: Sometimes you're not gonna get support. I don't get support
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: for the majority of the things I offered to do,
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: But I do it anyway. I step forward, I step
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: out on faith, I jump, I take a leap. I
- 1:24:17Speaker 1: hold my breath, and as I'm falling, I start to breathing.
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: And sometimes when I'm falling, I have to hold my
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: breath because I feel like I'm gonna slam face first
- 1:24:27Speaker 1: into the ground. But here he come, like he always do.
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: He come getting me every single time. And don't he
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: come get you? Yes, he does. That's it. I don't
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: have no more today. I think that I just wanted
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: to say that to you all. How do you succeed
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: in spite of the lack of support? You just gotta
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: go through it, man, and get yourself around some like
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: minded people and who want to be successful. Not exactly
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: what you want to be, but that's all you need.
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: That's always done. I hope that was good. Absolutely, that
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: was very good. That was very good, Very good, Sire
- 1:25:04Speaker 1: Dost Hey, that's it, y'all. Talk to God today, y'all.
