- 1:42Speaker 6: Turn You probably got to turn mouth turn out, turn
- 1:47Speaker 6: the water of the money.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Boo loo. Come come on you think.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh huh?
- 2:02Speaker 1: I sure, well, good morning everybody. You are listening to
- 2:06Speaker 1: the voice, Come on dig me now, one and only
- 2:09Speaker 1: Steve Harvey got a radio show, man on Man on man.
- 2:16Speaker 1: I thank God for it. I thank God for all
- 2:19Speaker 1: he's done for me, for all the little things that
- 2:22Speaker 1: I oftentimes failed to thank him for that I take
- 2:26Speaker 1: for granted for You know, I was talking the other
- 2:32Speaker 1: day to a buddy of mine. We had gotten to
- 2:36Speaker 1: this conversation about God and and in the conversation we
- 2:42Speaker 1: had narrowed it down and we were talking about changing
- 2:45Speaker 1: the way we are as people. You know that everybody
- 2:49Speaker 1: has to change. You know, nothing stays the same. Everybody changes,
- 2:55Speaker 1: and a lot of these changes can be for the good,
- 2:58Speaker 1: and a lot of them are just just come with time.
- 3:01Speaker 7: You know.
- 3:01Speaker 1: Sometimes it's aging that changes us. But no matter how
- 3:05Speaker 1: old you get, you still have the ability to improve
- 3:11Speaker 1: as a person. You may not have the footspeed you
- 3:15Speaker 1: used to have. You may not be as agile as
- 3:19Speaker 1: you used to be. Your energy level may not be
- 3:24Speaker 1: what it used to be. Your desire to do some
- 3:28Speaker 1: of the things that you used to do may be gone.
- 3:33Speaker 1: The thing that doesn't have to change and will not change,
- 3:40Speaker 1: is you. You have the ability to continue to grow
- 3:46Speaker 1: as a person, even when far the time and nature
- 3:53Speaker 1: has taken its course. We were talking about everybody can
- 3:59Speaker 1: change and everybody has the right to reinvent themselves as
- 4:08Speaker 1: they get older, and I equated it to jumping out
- 4:14Speaker 1: of an airplane. You know, there are some people man
- 4:17Speaker 1: who get to a certain point in their life and
- 4:20Speaker 1: they and they jump from the airplane is now almost
- 4:26Speaker 1: a stunt of some kind. It's almost like they lifed
- 4:29Speaker 1: and got out of control. You ever seen somebody jump
- 4:32Speaker 1: out an airplane and the parachute don't open and they
- 4:35Speaker 1: life start and it seems like they start spinning and
- 4:38Speaker 1: tumbling and they can't get it together. And I've seen
- 4:41Speaker 1: some mid air rescues before. But then there are times
- 4:44Speaker 1: when you know when it hasn't worked. You know, you
- 4:47Speaker 1: jump out that airplane, and at first it's fun. I've
- 4:52Speaker 1: never scot dived before, but I would imagine when you
- 4:55Speaker 1: first jump out of an airplane that they people describe
- 4:59Speaker 1: it as a a sense of being free, and it's
- 5:03Speaker 1: exhilarating when you first jump out the plane. But if
- 5:07Speaker 1: you pull that cord and nothing happens. It never happened
- 5:11Speaker 1: to me, but I can only imagine the panic that's
- 5:15Speaker 1: got to set in because no matter how fun it
- 5:19Speaker 1: was a moment ago, the flying over to one another,
- 5:23Speaker 1: the holding hands in the air, the breeze, the descent,
- 5:29Speaker 1: the feeling of all of a sudden, if you reach
- 5:33Speaker 1: for that cord and it's not there, you're suddenly spinning
- 5:36Speaker 1: out of control. And that's what happens in a lot
- 5:39Speaker 1: of people's lives. When you first start your life, you
- 5:43Speaker 1: jump out the plane, You free, You young, you ain't
- 5:45Speaker 1: got nothing to worry about it. But then you get
- 5:47Speaker 1: to a certain point in your life when you go, okay,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I'm gonna pull the cord now. And pulling the cord
- 5:54Speaker 1: is an important thing because here's the analogy. My friend,
- 6:01Speaker 1: he said, Man, use your mind like a parachute. It
- 6:06Speaker 1: works better when it's open. Well. See what happens with
- 6:11Speaker 1: a lot of people, is they they in life? They
- 6:14Speaker 1: jump out the plane and they and they having this
- 6:19Speaker 1: free fall and it's fun for now. But they get
- 6:23Speaker 1: to a certain point in their life where they got
- 6:25Speaker 1: themself in a situation, or they've had a little bit
- 6:27Speaker 1: too much fun a little bit too long, or you know,
- 6:30Speaker 1: they wasn't open to nothing and they just did what
- 6:33Speaker 1: they wanted to do, or they started getting involved with
- 6:36Speaker 1: drugs or drinking, or started running with the wrong people. See,
- 6:40Speaker 1: you jump out the plane. At first, you're free falling
- 6:42Speaker 1: this fun. But then after a minute, man, something happens
- 6:45Speaker 1: and they realize whoa and they reach for their cord
- 6:48Speaker 1: and the chord don't work. Well, now you're in the
- 6:50Speaker 1: panic stricken situation. And my suggesting that what I've learned
- 6:54Speaker 1: from the analogy that my friends shared with me is
- 6:57Speaker 1: that we all the sooner we can open our mind
- 7:00Speaker 1: to God, the sooner we could develop that relationship with him.
- 7:06Speaker 1: It's like pulling the chord and opening a parachute. If
- 7:10Speaker 1: you open up your mind to God, God is like
- 7:14Speaker 1: a parachute. You know, God can slow your descent. God
- 7:20Speaker 1: can turn this out of control freefall into a nice
- 7:24Speaker 1: ride for you. See, that's what happened to me. I
- 7:30Speaker 1: was spinning out of control. I had gotten myself into
- 7:34Speaker 1: a point. Man, Why I wasn't doing real good? Oh,
- 7:38Speaker 1: y'all would look at me and think, man, stevee man,
- 7:42Speaker 1: Now I wasn't doing real good. I had spun out
- 7:47Speaker 1: of control. I was in a free fall, and I
- 7:51Speaker 1: reached for the chord, but I was so far away
- 7:54Speaker 1: the chord didn't open. Then I went to him and
- 7:57Speaker 1: I pulled the chord. When I went to God God,
- 8:01Speaker 1: I pulled the cord in open, and he slowed my descent.
- 8:05Speaker 1: And this is what I just believe. I don't believe
- 8:07Speaker 1: now that I age as fast as I was aging,
- 8:11Speaker 1: because I got that parachute open. Now, you know, I
- 8:14Speaker 1: take better care of myself, eating, I work out more.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Now you know I'm not out of control. I have
- 8:20Speaker 1: a direction now that win. Then got up under that
- 8:24Speaker 1: parachute a little bit, you know, And now I'm going.
- 8:28Speaker 1: You know, I'm still getting older, you know so, But
- 8:31Speaker 1: the descent is so slow. Now I'm able to enjoy
- 8:34Speaker 1: the ride. I'm guiding my parachute over. Sometimes we go
- 8:38Speaker 1: over to to a vacation spot over here. We float
- 8:42Speaker 1: back over to it. But you know, I'm still getting old.
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'm still going down. But the descent because I've opened
- 8:49Speaker 1: my mind to God, the parachute has slowed my descent.
- 8:54Speaker 1: And now I'm rocking back and forth. But I ain't
- 8:57Speaker 1: spending out of control no more. You know, I'm able
- 9:00Speaker 1: to enjoy the view now. You know, when you jump
- 9:04Speaker 1: out that plane and you pull that cord and it
- 9:06Speaker 1: don't work, you ain't looking at the view no more.
- 9:08Speaker 1: You're thinking of only one thing. How can I slow
- 9:11Speaker 1: this down? Well, now I'm able to enjoy the view.
- 9:14Speaker 1: I'm able to see all the beautiful things on the
- 9:17Speaker 1: horizon that God has for me. I'm able to see
- 9:20Speaker 1: all the beautiful things around me that He's provided for
- 9:24Speaker 1: me over these years. Because I've slowed my descent. I
- 9:28Speaker 1: use my mind like a parachute. It works better when
- 9:32Speaker 1: it's open. Open your mind to God, and so you
- 9:36Speaker 1: can see the view, so you can slow the descent,
- 9:40Speaker 1: so you can stop the out of control free fall
- 9:43Speaker 1: that you've been on. That you can get your life
- 9:45Speaker 1: together and see everything out on the horizon that God
- 9:48Speaker 1: has for you. You know, it turned out to be
- 9:50Speaker 1: a very true statement your mind. If you use it
- 9:54Speaker 1: like a parachute, it works better when it's open y'alling. Yeah,
- 10:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. I'm gonna say it again, ladies and gentlemen.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Today is the day that the Lord has made. Let
- 10:09Speaker 1: us rejoice and be glad in it. It's election day.
- 10:13Speaker 1: It's voting day, it's turnout day. It's gonna get down
- 10:18Speaker 1: in that line day. Let's do whatever you got to
- 10:21Speaker 1: do day. It's the day.
- 10:23Speaker 8: Man.
- 10:24Speaker 1: If you have not voted, today is we are showing up.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Get up, wake up, get ready, get yourself a lawn chair,
- 10:35Speaker 1: get yourself a little thermost, get yourself you know little

- 10:56Speaker 1: hear this. Kamala Harris.
- 11:01Speaker 4: That's what you're saying.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, animal or a you know what you're
- 11:07Speaker 1: waiting on, what you're looking for. It's clear cut choice
- 11:11Speaker 1: in who you should go down here and vote for today.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's an obligation we have. Do it for yourself do
- 11:20Speaker 1: it for your children, do it for the future, do
- 11:24Speaker 1: it for your grandparents. But vote. All these idiots on
- 11:30Speaker 1: these podcasts talking about we are under no obligation to vote.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Stop listening to fools. Some people are on podcasts just
- 11:41Speaker 1: to get attention, to be different, to get clicks, views,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and they would do take any extreme measure to accomplish that.
- 11:49Speaker 1: When you hear a person saying we shouldn't go to
- 11:53Speaker 1: the polls, you are you are talking to a person
- 11:57Speaker 1: who is ignorant. We have to vote. It's our civic duty.
- 12:04Speaker 1: We owe it to our forefathers who bled and died
- 12:07Speaker 1: for us to have this simple right. Let's get to
- 12:10Speaker 1: the polls, y'all. Steve Harp morn and show Shirley Strawberry
- 12:13Speaker 1: calling for real Mississippi Monica Junior and the legend of
- 12:17Speaker 1: nephew Tommy Junior. What's on your mind today? Well, you
- 12:19Speaker 1: know what, man? Today is today? Man? Is it like
- 12:22Speaker 1: you said, it's gold time? Yes, nothing that's for us
- 12:24Speaker 1: to worry about. You know, we got to go support,
- 12:27Speaker 1: We got to ge out here and get this vote.
- 12:29Speaker 1: I'm excited. I prayed this morning already. I think it's
- 12:32Speaker 1: gonna be a great day. I'm not nervous about this.
- 12:34Speaker 1: It's gonna face his head on. Yeah, I'm gonna tell
- 12:38Speaker 1: you what, man. Yeah, the reason I'm the reason I
- 12:41Speaker 1: voted is because I don't like the opposition. I just
- 12:45Speaker 1: don't like what the opposition is saying, and clearly they
- 12:48Speaker 1: are saying stuff that is non beneficial to us. Project
- 12:52Speaker 1: twenty twenty five. What else you need to hear? They
- 12:55Speaker 1: talking about Madam Vice President Kamala has like like like
- 13:00Speaker 1: she's a street walker somewhere where they get this from.
- 13:03Speaker 1: This woman is educated, highly qualified beyond presidential and the
- 13:09Speaker 1: vice president of the United States. Where y'all coming from?
- 13:13Speaker 1: Y'all climb up under these rocks and these slanderous campaigns
- 13:18Speaker 1: they got. I don't like the nastiness of which they've
- 13:22Speaker 1: tried to go about this campaign, but what do you
- 13:25Speaker 1: expect their candidate is nasty? Yeah?
- 13:29Speaker 4: Well, all day is election Day.
- 13:31Speaker 9: We'll be talking about it and coming up at thirty
- 13:33Speaker 9: two minutes after the hour, we're going to talk about

- 16:07Speaker 9: a mistake, for instance, Steve on your ballot, you have
- 16:11Speaker 9: the right to ask for a new ballot.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Right then, and there.
- 16:14Speaker 9: If you make him fair, you can do that right

- 18:00Speaker 1: saying that?
- 18:00Speaker 3: Correct?
- 18:01Speaker 1: You cannot be penalized for voting if you have the
- 18:06Speaker 1: record when you get to work that you were somewhere voting.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Your boss has to allow that. There can't be no mess.
- 18:15Speaker 1: Go down there, get in line, take your lawn chair,
- 18:18Speaker 1: take you something to drink, make your little snack pack,
- 18:21Speaker 1: get your snickers ball, whatever you got to do. If
- 18:24Speaker 1: you got hot blood and all it whatever, just little
- 18:27Speaker 1: snickers will get you through it, you know, get your
- 18:30Speaker 1: little bus standing in that line. Take your medication.
- 18:34Speaker 4: Yeah, this is the most lifetime crackers, all this kind
- 18:40Speaker 4: of stuff.
- 18:41Speaker 1: These are good snacks to have while you spending.
- 18:43Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:44Speaker 6: Yeah, them hot fries that my wife like. Get you
- 18:46Speaker 6: some hot fries them good too.

- 18:56Speaker 1: make you thirsty. And if you got to get out
- 19:01Speaker 1: of the line, ask somebody to hold your place.
- 19:05Speaker 4: Yeah, paying games.
- 19:09Speaker 1: And and and hey, y'all, let's help each other. If
- 19:13Speaker 1: you see some elderly people in there and it look
- 19:15Speaker 1: like they struggling, move them up to the front of
- 19:17Speaker 1: the line. Y'all know how to be Give them a seat,
- 19:21Speaker 1: give them water. All this you can't give nobody water
- 19:24Speaker 1: at the in the line, and all this all that swhack.
- 19:27Speaker 1: They trying everything, y'all listen to me. Get down there
- 19:32Speaker 1: today and be about your business. Fold your arms like
- 19:35Speaker 1: you know how to do. When they walk up to
- 19:37Speaker 1: you with that oki dope, fold your arm, let them know. Okay,
- 19:41Speaker 1: I'm telling you now, hey, little poleworker, careful and when
- 19:46Speaker 1: getting paid that much? Now for all this here, because
- 19:48Speaker 1: this all this come with something. Yeah, off, you could
- 19:55Speaker 1: take your notes with you. That's that's you can right
- 20:00Speaker 1: all you go. Now listen to me, y'all when you
- 20:02Speaker 1: vote on the back of the ballot. On the other
- 20:05Speaker 1: there's some issues you want to know the issues. Ask
- 20:09Speaker 1: the people in your community what issues are we concerned
- 20:12Speaker 1: about because they're phrasing in a way where it looks
- 20:15Speaker 1: real and you know, like in Georgia, you know, like
- 20:20Speaker 1: in Georgia. I had to get some help with a
- 20:22Speaker 1: couple of these issues. I had to call some people
- 20:24Speaker 1: that I know that do all the issues. Okay, Steve,
- 20:26Speaker 1: that's a no, we're not voting on that. Because I've
- 20:28Speaker 1: been pushing so hard for the presidency, sometimes I don't
- 20:32Speaker 1: really know all the issues. Before you go down there,
- 20:35Speaker 1: you can take notes. You could take notes if they
- 20:39Speaker 1: voting on provisions, if they're voting on a childcare, if
- 20:43Speaker 1: they're voting on abortion, if they vote on bonds. You
- 20:46Speaker 1: could take your notes in there with you and tell
- 20:49Speaker 1: you which way to vote.
- 20:50Speaker 4: That's for us, all right, all day today, Selection day.
- 20:54Speaker 2: You're listening morning show.
- 20:58Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour, are friend
- 21:00Speaker 9: Democratic Party national chair Jamie Harrison will be our special guest.
- 21:05Speaker 9: We'll talk to him about today an election day. But
- 21:08Speaker 9: right now we're gonna check in with your voicemail Steve
- 21:11Speaker 9: at eight seven seven twenty nine. Steve, this first call
- 21:14Speaker 9: is from someone who left a message to remind us,
- 21:18Speaker 9: like you just said earlier, Steve, to help the elderly
- 21:22Speaker 9: at the polls.
- 21:23Speaker 8: Take a listen, TI Steve is telling me once again,
- 21:26Speaker 8: I forgot to say, tell them to bring their medication
- 21:30Speaker 8: and bring a book to read, maybe the Bible, bring
- 21:33Speaker 8: their earplugs with their transmit the radios. You know, we
- 21:37Speaker 8: got to get the elderly out there to provide transportation
- 21:42Speaker 8: all these nonprofits that have these vans and get the
- 21:47Speaker 8: government fund provide your transportations that the government funds have
- 21:52Speaker 8: paced for these vans for all of these nonprofits. Get
- 21:55Speaker 8: them to go and pick up the people at their home,
- 22:00Speaker 8: take them to.
- 22:01Speaker 3: The voting polls. Or you may have a traveling.
- 22:06Speaker 8: Voter registrar that goes in homes, that goes out on
- 22:09Speaker 8: the block to the streets like we used to do.
- 22:11Speaker 10: We used to hold this.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Hurt elder bars and lost my phone.
- 22:15Speaker 11: Okay, that's the thing I hope I get on the air.
- 22:18Speaker 3: Because I want this message to go out. And if
- 22:21Speaker 3: I listened to you and I just smile every day,
- 22:24Speaker 3: thank God for you.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Yeah, you made it on the air. Can I say,
- 22:29Speaker 1: beautiful message. Ain't nobody got no transistor radio?
- 22:35Speaker 4: What you got out of that at all?
- 22:37Speaker 1: That I just heard? Get your transistor? I will read
- 22:41Speaker 1: the read the Bible.
- 22:43Speaker 4: She said, take a book to read, maybe the Bible.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Get yeah, build up your spirit.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Yes, all right.
- 22:53Speaker 9: Here's another call from a voter named Marshall. He left
- 22:57Speaker 9: a message about bullying Steve.
- 23:00Speaker 3: Steve, how you doing. I was called I just want
- 23:02Speaker 3: to drop something on you.
- 23:03Speaker 7: My name is Marshall.
- 23:04Speaker 3: I want to drop something on you. If the people
- 23:07Speaker 3: who voting for Donald Trump, they cannot take anything to
- 23:11Speaker 3: their kids, if they go to school and bully, if
- 23:15Speaker 3: they go to school and call a child or call
- 23:18Speaker 3: somebody out.
- 23:18Speaker 12: Of their name, they're voting for that. They're voting for
- 23:22Speaker 12: that individual and his attitude and the way he treats
- 23:26Speaker 12: people and talk to people and be little women. So
- 23:28Speaker 12: if somebody child calls a woman a name or going
- 23:33Speaker 12: vote this woman, or go and cust them out and
- 23:36Speaker 12: bully them, those parents who actually are voting for Donald
- 23:40Speaker 12: Trump has no leg to stand on. So they cannot
- 23:42Speaker 12: whoop their child, they cannot punish that child, they cannot
- 23:46Speaker 12: send that child away to school because they actually putting
- 23:48Speaker 12: that in office and they're sanctioned it.
- 23:50Speaker 3: That's all I got to say. Thanks by yeah, agreed.
- 23:55Speaker 1: I don't even know how you how he's a candidate
- 23:59Speaker 1: just beyond me. We at today, we can stop all
- 24:01Speaker 1: this message. We just vote. We can come to all
- 24:03Speaker 1: this mess. How you put up this foolishness. We can
- 24:06Speaker 1: put a stop to all these ignorant ass blacks for Trump.
- 24:09Speaker 1: We can put a stop to all this damn foolishness,
- 24:12Speaker 1: ignorant ass sitting up here talking about you for Trump,
- 24:14Speaker 1: when Trump ain't ever done nothing for you. I mean,
- 24:18Speaker 1: he ain't said one thing on behalf of black people.
- 24:22Speaker 1: He told y'all what he thought of y'all. He told
- 24:25Speaker 1: you when he said they're coming across the border, they're
- 24:28Speaker 1: taking black jobs.
- 24:30Speaker 2: What what's a black job?
- 24:32Speaker 5: Bro?
- 24:33Speaker 1: I guess is this one a black job? As president
- 24:37Speaker 1: of United States? It's been that before and it's about
- 24:42Speaker 1: to be there again.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Hello, that talked about Haiti.
- 24:46Speaker 1: And all of us have a black job. We on
- 24:48Speaker 1: right now, get rid of you. That's our other black job.
- 24:54Speaker 4: Vote vote, vote all right.
- 24:56Speaker 9: Here's Steve is another caller. This one's a female from
- 24:59Speaker 9: New Orleans and she has a message to black men.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Take a listen, try Steve Harvey.
- 25:04Speaker 11: I was just calling the express of concern about the election.
- 25:10Speaker 11: For as Donald Trump is concerned he's closedly thinking on
- 25:16Speaker 11: men black men vote for his election this year.
- 25:22Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 25:23Speaker 11: Where was Donald Trump when the black man was gathering the.
- 25:30Speaker 3: Black Lives Matter movement?
- 25:33Speaker 7: Where was he?
- 25:34Speaker 11: He was on the officer, officer Derrick Chauvin's side, the
- 25:39Speaker 11: man the officer that murdered George Floyd. That's where Donald
- 25:44Speaker 11: Trump was. Now he wants black men to vote for him.
- 25:48Speaker 3: No, I don't think so.
- 25:50Speaker 11: And as a matter of fact, he also was supposedly
- 25:54Speaker 11: trying to stop the Black Lives Matter movement by sending
- 25:57Speaker 11: the truth out after anyone that try to phone the movement.
- 26:02Speaker 11: So Blakeman, please don't be deceived by Donald Trump. As
- 26:06Speaker 11: a matter of fact, No means because Donald Trump only
- 26:10Speaker 11: cares about Donald Trump.
- 26:13Speaker 1: It's so obvious, you know, I think. And she made
- 26:17Speaker 1: a really really good point because people don't understand, you know, listen,
- 26:22Speaker 1: his thing to give police officers the right to immunity
- 26:30Speaker 1: when in the line of duty. They want to give
- 26:34Speaker 1: full power to police office where in the line of duty,
- 26:38Speaker 1: no matter what they do, they can't be convicted for.
- 26:43Speaker 1: That's the problem we have now, yea. It is this
- 26:47Speaker 1: lack of no accountability. No, we're not doing that. But
- 26:54Speaker 1: if you carefully were to go through the pages of
- 26:57Speaker 1: Project twenty twenty five, yes, I'm telling you mine all
- 27:01Speaker 1: that's in there, even the policemen know. What you cannot
- 27:06Speaker 1: do is give the bad police officers full rain to
- 27:10Speaker 1: do what they want to do. It's on video everywhere.
- 27:12Speaker 1: I mean, how many times do we have to see
- 27:14Speaker 1: a video of a black man being shot for no
- 27:18Speaker 1: damn reason or beaten or black woman being shot in
- 27:22Speaker 1: her home by a police officer and then they try
- 27:25Speaker 1: to get off with it? How many times? And it's
- 27:28Speaker 1: always a black person. I have yet to see the
- 27:32Speaker 1: unjustified shooting of a white person. I ain't seen the
- 27:36Speaker 1: check where that video at to Please run the clip, No,
- 27:41Speaker 1: I want to see it. If it's there, let me
- 27:43Speaker 1: see it. But the reason you can't see it because
- 27:45Speaker 1: it ain't there. They ain't whipping young white teenage boys
- 27:49Speaker 1: ass all out, pulling them out the car for no reason.
- 27:52Speaker 1: But black boys is on film all the time. They
- 27:55Speaker 1: ain't walking in white folks house shooting them and killing them.
- 28:00Speaker 1: Don't accidentally knock on the door of a white person
- 28:04Speaker 1: and the white person opened their own door and they
- 28:07Speaker 1: shoot them. It doesn't happen to them. It happens to
- 28:11Speaker 1: us repeatedly. And Donald Trump wants to make that a
- 28:19Speaker 1: the blank. Okay, that's who he is. So a black
- 28:24Speaker 1: man for Trump. That's like when his son went over
- 28:27Speaker 1: there and said, I can't believe the number of black
- 28:29Speaker 1: men they come up to me and go, hey, Donald Trump,
- 28:32Speaker 1: you're a hero. I go like, what shut up? Lining
- 28:35Speaker 1: ain't no black dude went up you and said, no,
- 28:40Speaker 1: said nothing like that to you. Man, was hers.
- 28:46Speaker 2: Donald Trump.
- 28:47Speaker 1: That's what they were. Man, you are a hero.
- 28:50Speaker 13: Hero.
- 28:51Speaker 1: What they get real? Man, y'all stop this jalausy. This
- 28:55Speaker 1: is craziness. I'll tell you what we're gonna do. We're
- 28:57Speaker 1: gonna get out to the polls and everybody has him voted.
- 29:00Speaker 1: Is vote day. Your job will excuse you for voting.
- 29:04Speaker 1: You cannot be disciplined on your job for voting. Remember
- 29:08Speaker 1: that that's a law, a right and vote.
- 29:11Speaker 9: Coming up at the top of the hour of the
- 29:13Speaker 9: Chairman of the Democratic Party, Jamie Harrison, will be our
- 29:17Speaker 9: special guest.
- 29:18Speaker 4: Right after this.
- 29:19Speaker 2: You're listening Morning show.
- 29:24Speaker 1: Hey, everybody, as promised, today's election Day. We're about getting
- 29:29Speaker 1: everybody out to the polls today. If you haven't voted already.
- 29:32Speaker 1: Today's d day. We got to get it done, y'all.
- 29:35Speaker 1: Is so we invited the chair of the Democratic National
- 29:38Speaker 1: Committee back on the show today to help spread the message.
- 29:42Speaker 1: He's just wrapped up that we vote, we win, bus
- 29:44Speaker 1: tour across several southern states, letting everybody know that this
- 29:49Speaker 1: is the most critical election of our lifetime, so let's
- 29:54Speaker 1: get to it. Please welcome back d NC Chair Jamie Harrison.
- 29:58Speaker 3: Good moment, sir, more than everybody. Good morning.
- 30:03Speaker 1: Well Jamie, you got one break, I'm gonna shut up.
- 30:07Speaker 1: All I want you to do is tell everybody how
- 30:11Speaker 1: important it is that they get to the polls today.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Steve, this is the most important election of my lifetime.
- 30:19Speaker 3: I'm forty eight years old and I can tell you
- 30:21Speaker 3: there's never been an election more important. And the contrast
- 30:25Speaker 3: right now between these two cannons and two parties couldn't
- 30:28Speaker 3: be more. Start. On one side, you have twice impage
- 30:32Speaker 3: thirty four con convicted fellows who sexually assaults women. This
- 30:37Speaker 3: man should not be allowed to get back into the
- 30:40Speaker 3: White House. And we have the power in order to
- 30:42Speaker 3: make sure that doesn't happen. And on the flip side,
- 30:45Speaker 3: we have someone who is a voice for the voicemers,
- 30:47Speaker 3: who advocates for those folks who can't advocate for themselves.
- 30:52Speaker 3: Is one of those leaders that goes out, listens to
- 30:55Speaker 3: people and then comes back with policy solutions to address
- 30:58Speaker 3: the issues that these American people need them to. You know,
- 31:02Speaker 3: a lot of folks were saying, well, what's the black
- 31:04Speaker 3: men agenda? She is the very first candidate eve to
- 31:07Speaker 3: come out with a black men's agenda. There's never been
- 31:10Speaker 3: a candidate in the history of this democracy that we
- 31:13Speaker 3: call America that had a define agenda for black men
- 31:16Speaker 3: until Kama hair and that was based off of her
- 31:19Speaker 3: conversation sitting down with black men, talking with them about
- 31:22Speaker 3: the barriers that they have to live in the American dream.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Kamala Hans has done that, and I really do believe, folks,
- 31:28Speaker 3: we have somebody who's so special. She's had three months
- 31:32Speaker 3: to pull together what will probably go down in history.
- 31:35Speaker 3: Political science classes will be studying this campaign because she
- 31:40Speaker 3: has run the best campaign I have ever seen. She's
- 31:43Speaker 3: raised more money than anybody has ever done, and she
- 31:45Speaker 3: did it in three months, put on the best convention
- 31:48Speaker 3: that anybody ever put on in the history of convention,
- 31:52Speaker 3: drag Donald Trump on that debate stage like a week
- 31:55Speaker 3: sold back of garbage. This is a woman who has
- 31:59Speaker 3: done this, and you know that's the strength that we
- 32:03Speaker 3: need right now in this country who can bring us
- 32:05Speaker 3: all together. And that's why I'm saying, folks, for the
- 32:08Speaker 3: benefit of you, your family, and your community, go in
- 32:11Speaker 3: and vote and make sure you have someone who actually
- 32:13Speaker 3: gives a damn about you and your family and community.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Donald Trump doesn't, and he pretty much shows it every
- 32:19Speaker 3: single day. So go and exercise your right to vote.
- 32:23Speaker 3: So many people lost their lives so that we could
- 32:25Speaker 3: have it. So many people in other countries miss that
- 32:28Speaker 3: they could get it. You got it, so use it now.
- 32:32Speaker 1: Well. See, man, I'm telling you you're echoring the perfect sentiment.
- 32:37Speaker 1: Let me just go over this one more time, because
- 32:39Speaker 1: see this is the part I don't understand. Thirty four
- 32:42Speaker 1: convicted feelings, sexual assault, and twice in peach. Excuse me
- 32:49Speaker 1: not to mention that racist Madison Square Garden rally that
- 32:54Speaker 1: they all and sitting up trying to distance they self
- 32:57Speaker 1: from them people. Let me tell you something, man and
- 33:00Speaker 1: red body was picked to put on that stage. They
- 33:03Speaker 1: have vetted them, They knew who they were. They knew,
- 33:06Speaker 1: they knew what doctor Phil was gonna say, they knew
- 33:10Speaker 1: what the comedian was gonna say. They vetted it. That's
- 33:14Speaker 1: the only way you get on the stage up there
- 33:16Speaker 1: and get out of it.
- 33:19Speaker 3: See that, that's exactly right. Yeah, As someone who puts
- 33:22Speaker 3: on events like that for for the vice president and
- 33:25Speaker 3: the president, you don't let anybody get on that stage
- 33:28Speaker 3: without knowing what they're gonna say. Knowing that background. Hell,
- 33:32Speaker 3: you even know what they probably ate that that morning
- 33:34Speaker 3: by the time they get up on that stage, because
- 33:36Speaker 3: you know, it's a reflection of your campaign and your
- 33:39Speaker 3: candidate and your party, and so you know ignorance, Oh
- 33:44Speaker 3: we didn't know and this, and that's what you knew,
- 33:46Speaker 3: and you still allow them to continue on.
- 33:49Speaker 1: Brother.
- 33:49Speaker 3: I mean, if it was that bad and you saw
- 33:52Speaker 3: that it was bad, then you know what, you can
- 33:54Speaker 3: always turn the mic golf and be like, this is
- 33:56Speaker 3: not what we want, uh, sir, Sam, you gotta go
- 33:59Speaker 3: sit down.
- 33:59Speaker 1: But they didn't do that, Jamie. Three of us are
- 34:02Speaker 1: comedians on this show. We know when we're looking at
- 34:06Speaker 1: a new set. We know when we're looking at somebody
- 34:09Speaker 1: that wrote a new joke. This was in his material.
- 34:14Speaker 1: That's why he was picked for this particular job because
- 34:18Speaker 1: he spoke to that that type of person. He's done
- 34:23Speaker 1: the Puerto Rico joke before he's done a watermelon joke,
- 34:28Speaker 1: before he's done all of it. Before they knew, good
- 34:33Speaker 1: in hell well what he would say. What they did
- 34:35Speaker 1: not know was the backlash.
- 34:38Speaker 3: That's exactly right, that's exactly right. They thought that their
- 34:41Speaker 3: mag of bros. Would be all would eat it alive,
- 34:44Speaker 3: and that you know, we would sit back and and
- 34:48Speaker 3: be quiet. But you know, this is a different party.
- 34:50Speaker 3: And Trumka said up that Stanny new Haimer, we stick
- 34:53Speaker 3: and tired of being sick and tired. I think that's
- 34:55Speaker 3: where most people are. We're not gonna sit back and
- 34:57Speaker 3: let you pick on this group of that group. And
- 35:00Speaker 3: what they think is that they can pick on this
- 35:03Speaker 3: group and the rest of us will be quiet. As
- 35:05Speaker 3: I told one reporter the other day, when they picked
- 35:08Speaker 3: on the Haitians, and that day I became a Haitian
- 35:10Speaker 3: when they picked on the Puerto Ricans. That day after
- 35:12Speaker 3: become a Puerto Rican because we got to all stick
- 35:15Speaker 3: together on us and not allow us to visit this
- 35:18Speaker 3: because that's how they pick you apart. That's how fascism works.
- 35:22Speaker 3: It is that they otherwise group and make fearful the
- 35:26Speaker 3: other groups to stand up to defend them. But we
- 35:29Speaker 3: can't allow that to happen in this country.
- 35:32Speaker 1: This is sheer craziness what has been allowed to happen. Yeah,
- 35:36Speaker 1: hey man, we're going to come back because I want
- 35:38Speaker 1: to ask you a question. Has Donald Trump hijacked the
- 35:43Speaker 1: Republican Party to the point where win or lose? This
- 35:47Speaker 1: is how they're going to do business because he made
- 35:51Speaker 1: a blueprint of showing how you could win and at
- 35:54Speaker 1: least get nominated by being untruthful and spreading lies and maliciousness.
- 36:00Speaker 1: I want to get your opinion of that when we
- 36:01Speaker 1: come back. We're coming back with the Democratic Chair Jamie Harrison.
- 36:05Speaker 1: Right after this.
- 36:07Speaker 2: You're listening Morning Show Light every.
- 36:10Speaker 1: We already we're back in our special guest this morning
- 36:12Speaker 1: is the DNC Chair, Jamie Harrison. It's election day. We've
- 36:16Speaker 1: been talking about the importance when we left, mister Harrison,
- 36:20Speaker 1: I wanted to ask you a question I've been looking at.
- 36:23Speaker 1: This is the Republican Party permanently damaged behind this campaign
- 36:30Speaker 1: because they've elected Donald Trump as their forerunner. So now
- 36:36Speaker 1: that he's laid this blueprint that if you just tell
- 36:38Speaker 1: a lie long enough, they'll believe it, if you just
- 36:42Speaker 1: make false claims, if you ignore the truth. Is the
- 36:46Speaker 1: Republican Party damaged forever behind this or do you think
- 36:50Speaker 1: they're fed up with it they're gonna make a change.
- 36:53Speaker 1: What's your opinion?
- 36:54Speaker 3: Well, Steve, I think they're at a cross rows, I
- 36:57Speaker 3: really do. And they have to decide as a party
- 37:00Speaker 3: which way they want to go.
- 37:01Speaker 13: You know, I hope because everybody goes out to vote
- 37:04Speaker 13: today and meaning particularly black Pope, that we win, and
- 37:08Speaker 13: we win big and it makes them really consider who
- 37:12Speaker 13: they are looking at mirror and.
- 37:14Speaker 3: Figure out who they are as a party. You know,
- 37:18Speaker 3: this is that time in which that violent majority needs
- 37:21Speaker 3: to step up and stand up and not be silent
- 37:24Speaker 3: anymore and say, you know, we don't want to go
- 37:27Speaker 3: around with Donald Trump route. Because listen, if Donald Trump.
- 37:31Speaker 14: Who lost in twenty well, let's back up, lost the
- 37:36Speaker 14: midterms in eighteen, lost his election in twenty, lost the
- 37:41Speaker 14: midterms again in twenty two, and then when he loses
- 37:45Speaker 14: this election later on the night in twenty four, that
- 37:49Speaker 14: means the.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Republican Party has consistently lost for a number of fights,
- 37:53Speaker 3: and you know, you got to be a rational person.
- 37:55Speaker 3: If we've been following this clown and delusional during and
- 38:00Speaker 3: dark and we continue to fail, We're going to fail
- 38:03Speaker 3: for a long time for the good of America, not
- 38:06Speaker 3: just you know as Democratic chairitians, but as an American
- 38:10Speaker 3: who just doesn't want to have to be fearful of
- 38:12Speaker 3: losing our freedom in our democracy. You know, they need
- 38:16Speaker 3: to fix us.
- 38:17Speaker 7: They really need to fix us.
- 38:19Speaker 3: And that means some good people on that side have
- 38:22Speaker 3: to stand up because folks, I want Kamala Harris, not
- 38:24Speaker 3: only the wind. I want to gig and that means
- 38:27Speaker 3: we got to come out strong. You know, I got
- 38:30Speaker 3: a good friend, see who has a saying antoinca right.
- 38:33Speaker 3: He says, when they count you out, you teach them
- 38:37Speaker 3: they don't know how to count.
- 38:39Speaker 14: And that's what they've been counting black folks out for
- 38:41Speaker 14: this campaign, black men out and black women.
- 38:44Speaker 3: We need to teach them that they don't know how
- 38:46Speaker 3: to count. We all need to go out to the polls.
- 38:49Speaker 3: If you haven't voted.
- 38:50Speaker 1: Yet, go and vote today. We're going out today.
- 38:53Speaker 3: And see, can you just make sure your people know
- 38:55Speaker 3: that if you run into any problems today at the polls.
- 38:59Speaker 3: We have lawyers on the ready, on the ready. Just
- 39:03Speaker 3: go to Iowa vote dot com and we have a hotline.
- 39:06Speaker 3: You can call lawyers right there to help you and
- 39:09Speaker 3: your family members make sure your ballod is counted. Or
- 39:12Speaker 3: you can just catch vote to seven zero eight eighty
- 39:16Speaker 3: will do.
- 39:16Speaker 1: Democratic Chair Jamie Harrison, you've done a wonderful job man.
- 39:20Speaker 1: Thank you for your service, brother, and we're going to
- 39:22Speaker 1: get to the polls today all day. We will be
- 39:25Speaker 1: out here and we are going to show them you
- 39:28Speaker 1: misstake that. Thank you, brother. We'll do I'll get it.
- 39:30Speaker 1: I get that message out right now. Thank you, sir,
- 39:32Speaker 1: appreciate you, thank you.
- 39:34Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Kare you you're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show.
- 39:39Speaker 9: Well, as we've been talking about all morning, Steve, today
- 39:42Speaker 9: is election day. We're asking everyone to go vote. Everyone
- 39:46Speaker 9: to go vote. If you have not registered to vote yet,
- 39:49Speaker 9: you still have time. Some states will allow you to
- 39:53Speaker 9: register in person today and you can vote as well.
- 39:56Speaker 4: You can register and vote on the same day.
- 39:59Speaker 9: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Virginia, Washington,
- 40:07Speaker 9: d C. Washington State and Wisconsin. All right, what's at
- 40:13Speaker 9: stake here? One of the things is our democracy, Steve,
- 40:16Speaker 9: you grew up during the Civil rights movement. It was
- 40:19Speaker 9: instrumental in securing voter voting equality. Young people need to
- 40:24Speaker 9: know all about the sit ins, the boycotts, the protests
- 40:27Speaker 9: that went on. They need to know that literacy tests
- 40:31Speaker 9: were given and manipulated to ensure eligible black voters failed.
- 40:36Speaker 9: Voting rights activists were assaulted, some of them were murdered
- 40:41Speaker 9: during this time. Perhaps most prominently, a peaceful march for
- 40:45Speaker 9: voting rights in Selma, Alabama, back in nineteen sixty five,
- 40:49Speaker 9: led by the late great Congressman John Lewis, was met
- 40:53Speaker 9: with police violence that was broadcast nationwide and sparked broad outrage.
- 40:59Speaker 4: So now the movie about it too.
- 41:01Speaker 1: If you hear any of this, y'all, Come on, y'all,
- 41:03Speaker 1: you don't think we owe it to our grandparents, our
- 41:09Speaker 1: forefather fathers, Yeah, who bled and died for this simple
- 41:13Speaker 1: opportunity for us to be to be counted. And then
- 41:15Speaker 1: but see that, don't complain about what's on the menu.
- 41:21Speaker 1: If you don't pull a chair up to the table,
- 41:23Speaker 1: you can't complain about what's on the menu, y'all. You
- 41:26Speaker 1: have a seat at the table. The best way to
- 41:28Speaker 1: give to see the table is to be counted. This
- 41:30Speaker 1: we not voting stuff. It don't make no sense, man,
- 41:33Speaker 1: it makes no sense at all. Now, I got there
- 41:36Speaker 1: are no perfect politicians. I got there are no perfect people.
- 41:41Speaker 1: But you ain't got the put the OK stamp on
- 41:44Speaker 1: Donald Trump. Though. It's one thing not to be a
- 41:47Speaker 1: perfect person. It's a whole other thing just to be
- 41:50Speaker 1: an honory bad, no good person. Thirty four convicted felonies
- 41:56Speaker 1: sexual assault and twice impeached. That's not to include the
- 42:03Speaker 1: acting out oral sex on the microphone at a rally.
- 42:07Speaker 1: That doesn't include the Madison Square Garden rally where all
- 42:11Speaker 1: those racist people, even my buddy doctor Field, when he
- 42:16Speaker 1: stood up and said, this country is not built on
- 42:20Speaker 1: DEEI diversity, equality and inclusion. No, ill feel you missed
- 42:25Speaker 1: it because it was built on the backs of slavery.
- 42:29Speaker 1: That's what it was built on, man. And because you
- 42:32Speaker 1: have the privilege of not knowing that or having to
- 42:35Speaker 1: deal with that or some of the consequences of that,
- 42:38Speaker 1: you can stand up there and say that. The other
- 42:41Speaker 1: mistake that was made was when he said he's here
- 42:44Speaker 1: just to tell you that Donald Trump is not a bully.
- 42:46Speaker 1: And then he described a bully as a person who
- 42:50Speaker 1: uses their authority to push people around. He's not an authority.
- 42:54Speaker 1: He has authority. He got the whole, all all Republican
- 42:59Speaker 1: Party by the crotch. What you're talking about, He is
- 43:04Speaker 1: the Republican Party candidate that puts you in a certain
- 43:07Speaker 1: powerful position. Have you noticed he has threatened everybody who
- 43:11Speaker 1: has ever gone against him. That ain't a bully. Yeah, man,
- 43:15Speaker 1: that's exactly what that is. But see, if you're trying
- 43:18Speaker 1: to protect your power, your position, and your money, say that.
- 43:22Speaker 1: But don't say he good for the country because he ain't,
- 43:25Speaker 1: because he ain't good for nobody except his rich ass
- 43:28Speaker 1: friends in this country that have made those very large contributions.
- 43:32Speaker 1: Elon Musk, Grant Cardon, I know all these dudes, man,
- 43:37Speaker 1: Grant Cardon telling everybody that owning the house is a
- 43:40Speaker 1: waste of money, it's the stupidest American dream. But he
- 43:42Speaker 1: makes his money in real estate, so he buys apartment buildings,
- 43:46Speaker 1: office buildings, and he leases them out. So if you
- 43:50Speaker 1: ain't gonna buy a home, you got to lease a
- 43:52Speaker 1: home where you gonna lease it from you got to
- 43:53Speaker 1: stay somewhere? Well, who got the home for lease grant cardon? Man,
- 43:57Speaker 1: y'all come on now that foolishness right here now you
- 44:01Speaker 1: want to Steve, pimps her pimps. Oh oh man, listen
- 44:05Speaker 1: to y'all. Oh the disrespect. You got your two polls
- 44:08Speaker 1: to day period. Let's go.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it's election day, land slat.
- 44:13Speaker 1: Let's get real ugly and that's a proud And they
- 44:15Speaker 1: ain't counter did some telling you they ain't counter as
- 44:17Speaker 1: last time either? Shop Georgia with blue?
- 44:21Speaker 9: Oh no, all right, we'll have more of the Steve
- 44:27Speaker 9: Harvey Morning Show coming up right after this.
- 44:30Speaker 2: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Today is election day.
- 44:35Speaker 9: Today is election Day, November fifth, twenty twenty four, and
- 44:40Speaker 9: all morning long, we're encouraging everyone, every single person within
- 44:44Speaker 9: the sound of our voices, to get out and vote. So, Steve,
- 44:48Speaker 9: we have some people that have called you at eight
- 44:51Speaker 9: seven seven twenty nine, Steve, this is an eighty eight
- 44:54Speaker 9: year old woman who left a message for you.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Let's hear it what you want to say.
- 45:00Speaker 15: I'm eight year old lady, and I remember you Richus Holly,
- 45:06Speaker 15: And then he went over in det uh, Michigan and
- 45:12Speaker 15: had those papers to vote, and you help buy old Biden.
- 45:16Speaker 15: But the name Joe Bide when we needed to do that,
- 45:21Speaker 15: same camel the police. If you can't step Hobby, I
- 45:26Speaker 15: listened to you daily. I listened to you date nightly,
- 45:30Speaker 15: a family view. I just do you when you have
- 45:33Speaker 15: those celebrities on celeberties. Uh anyway, your man, you my man,
- 45:43Speaker 15: Steve Hobby. I listened to your all day, eight year old. Okay,
- 45:48Speaker 15: love you, Steve Hobby. Tell Margie high, Margie your wife
- 45:54Speaker 15: bye bye.
- 45:56Speaker 1: Yes, Yes, I'm gonna tell I'm gonna tell Margie you
- 46:01Speaker 1: said hi. And I want you to know that. Me,
- 46:03Speaker 1: DL and Ricky Smiley, we got together. All of us
- 46:07Speaker 1: happen to be members of the same fraternity. Oh, by
- 46:09Speaker 1: the way, old maker fire, we made a commitment because
- 46:12Speaker 1: we know we control the bulk of the black airwaves
- 46:16Speaker 1: in this country. The three of us got together and
- 46:19Speaker 1: said we are committed to the election of Kamala Harris,
- 46:25Speaker 1: and we have done that. DL even spoke at the
- 46:28Speaker 1: Democratic Convention. DL spoke, Ricky Smiley been pushing it. Ricky
- 46:34Speaker 1: Smiley interviewed, I've interviewed everybody's interview. We're doing that, yes, ma'am,
- 46:39Speaker 1: Miss eighty eight. I want you to know that your man,
- 46:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey has been committed to the cause. You right.
- 46:45Speaker 1: We everywhere. We in Philly, we in Atlanta, we in Detroit,
- 46:50Speaker 1: We in North Carolina, me and we and Milwaukee. We
- 46:53Speaker 1: in all of them battleground states except Arizona. That's the
- 46:57Speaker 1: only one we ain't in. And we are push and
- 47:00Speaker 1: Kamala has for people like you, the lady that called
- 47:05Speaker 1: in my girl, the eighty eight year old fan of mine,
- 47:08Speaker 1: week for you. We're voting for you, people like you,
- 47:13Speaker 1: the lady, the groundwork and everything. Yes, ma'am, I'm gonna
- 47:16Speaker 1: do everything you said. This whole show is for that
- 47:20Speaker 1: right now, ma'am. Hope you enjoy it. Appreciate you watching
- 47:23Speaker 1: family few too.
- 47:25Speaker 4: All right, Steve, Let's hear from Erica Latino voter.
- 47:29Speaker 10: Please, good morning, Steven family. This is Eric Farsdell coming
- 47:33Speaker 10: to you from Coral Springs, Florida. During this election season,
- 47:38Speaker 10: I just want.
- 47:39Speaker 16: To say that the black and Latino vote is coming
- 47:42Speaker 16: out super strong here in Broward County. When I went
- 47:46Speaker 16: to vote early, I saw so many people ready for
- 47:51Speaker 16: this new change with Kamala Harris. So the Latino Latino black.
- 47:56Speaker 10: Vote is going to show up and show out. I
- 47:58Speaker 10: hope you guys have a great day.
- 48:00Speaker 7: Take care.
- 48:01Speaker 1: So I hope so too. Now you know something, Florida
- 48:04Speaker 1: Democrats have never won Florida. We never won Florida because
- 48:09Speaker 1: it's just too many old white people down It's just
- 48:18Speaker 1: too many old white people. They just down there, many
- 48:24Speaker 1: they down there and numbers man riding around with Trump trucks,
- 48:28Speaker 1: Trump flags. You know. But even even they know that
- 48:35Speaker 1: this dude is I don't care who you are, if
- 48:39Speaker 1: you stop lying to yourself, you know, he's just not
- 48:42Speaker 1: a decent person, period. That's all it is. Man. So
- 48:47Speaker 1: they're gonna pass away after a while. You know, that's
- 48:52Speaker 1: a fact of life. I'm not wishing it. It's just everybody.
- 48:55Speaker 1: I'm gonna pass.
- 48:55Speaker 4: What you had to say it though, I think it's
- 48:58Speaker 4: important that you know the next taller Florida, next color
- 49:05Speaker 4: is champing.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Florida gonna come back. It's gonna rejuvenate itself. It's gonna
- 49:08Speaker 1: become you knew, and all them young people down there
- 49:12Speaker 1: with all them school shootings and stuff, they gonna pass
- 49:14Speaker 1: these laws. Man looking Amendment and all this here foolishness.
- 49:18Speaker 1: Y'all keep them kids. They was the ones getting shot
- 49:21Speaker 1: at down there. They don't remember this. They're gonna be
- 49:24Speaker 1: march for our lives.
- 49:25Speaker 4: Yes, they are future leaders from America. All right, Champ
- 49:29Speaker 4: from Indiana, like I said, left the message Steve here goes.
- 49:32Speaker 3: Hey, this is Champ before Wayange.
- 49:34Speaker 5: I wanted to say to the brothers, the males or
- 49:37Speaker 5: for Trump, black males especially, I was wanting to know
- 49:40Speaker 5: if they have forgotten that when they in the NFL
- 49:43Speaker 5: did a peaceful protest, that this dude called these brothers
- 49:49Speaker 5: u s obs and said they needed to be fired.
- 49:52Speaker 5: But I think they had gotten that, and I think
- 49:54Speaker 5: they need to be reminded that this dude called brothers
- 49:57Speaker 5: moms bees appreciate y'all.
- 50:01Speaker 1: Yeah, man, that's real, that's what he called her, and
- 50:05Speaker 1: they should be fired. Well, see, Trump, let me explain
- 50:09Speaker 1: something to you what you already know. But you be
- 50:12Speaker 1: exciting your little hateful last followers, the one that relegate
- 50:16Speaker 1: on hate and fear. Anyway, if you fire the NFL players,
- 50:23Speaker 1: what y'all gonna watch on Sunday. You know the last
- 50:29Speaker 1: time I did the NFL honors, I wrote a joke.
- 50:34Speaker 1: I don't remember the joke I wrote, but it just
- 50:36Speaker 1: absolutely killed at the thing. It was so much. I
- 50:39Speaker 1: was just talking about the black owners that I'm here
- 50:42Speaker 1: on behalf of the black players to speak up to
- 50:46Speaker 1: the owners, and just suddenly that we're willing to compromise.
- 50:50Speaker 1: So in order for us to get certain things, let's
- 50:55Speaker 1: start small. If you give us one black place kicker
- 51:02Speaker 1: and holder in the NFL, if you let one of
- 51:07Speaker 1: us kick the football for the field goal and one
- 51:10Speaker 1: of us hold it, we gonna give y'all two white cornerbacks.
- 51:15Speaker 1: That's something you've never seen. You feel. We're gonna give
- 51:19Speaker 1: y'all two white cornerbacks. The scores the game score is
- 51:23Speaker 1: gonna be one hundred and something because I don't know
- 51:27Speaker 1: who gonna check them, why receiver, But we're gonna give
- 51:29Speaker 1: y'all two white cornerbacks. I said, if y'all give us
- 51:34Speaker 1: just one black owner, we gonna give y'all are all
- 51:39Speaker 1: white football team. We're gonna call it the Montana Miracle
- 51:45Speaker 1: Whips the whole. All their uniforms is white, their helmets
- 51:49Speaker 1: is white. They ain't gonna be a stripe on them
- 51:51Speaker 1: nowhere After it just cutting deals with y'all like that, so.
- 51:57Speaker 15: We have a.
- 51:59Speaker 4: Male vote. I left a message about black's for Trump.
- 52:02Speaker 17: Good morning, Steve, Steve Harvey Nation. I just want to
- 52:05Speaker 17: emphasize on something Steve went over today on about importance
- 52:08Speaker 17: of voting for your negroes.
- 52:09Speaker 10: Who's gonna vote.
- 52:10Speaker 3: For Donald Trump.
- 52:11Speaker 7: I want you to understand this.
- 52:13Speaker 17: If Donald Trump get in there and you get into
- 52:15Speaker 17: it with a nulla white man, if he call you
- 52:17Speaker 17: the N word, put you down, so you say he's
- 52:20Speaker 17: gonna look your way, he gonna put you into your
- 52:22Speaker 17: like you said it, and he gonna throw away the keep.
- 52:25Speaker 1: Have a nice day, all you negroes. That's what I like.
- 52:32Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 52:33Speaker 4: Please get out and vote. Please Trump, get out of
- 52:38Speaker 4: the vote.
- 52:39Speaker 2: We keep saying it over and over.
- 52:41Speaker 4: Go vote today, Yes, yes, all right, this is it.
- 52:44Speaker 4: This is your last chance.
- 52:46Speaker 9: Today is election day, and we'll have more of the
- 52:48Speaker 9: Steve Harvey Morning Show right after this.
- 52:50Speaker 4: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show. Today, Guys is election
- 52:56Speaker 4: day twenty twenty four. We need you to get out
- 53:00Speaker 4: vote to day. Today's your last day. We want to
- 53:03Speaker 4: refresh your memory about Project twenty twenty five. We talk
- 53:06Speaker 4: about it a lot on this show.
- 53:08Speaker 9: Now, if Trump is elected, what is Project twenty twenty five?
- 53:12Speaker 9: Remember Trump posted that he quote knew nothing about Project
- 53:16Speaker 9: twenty twenty five and he has quote no idea who's
- 53:20Speaker 9: in charge of it? Well, CNN identified at least one
- 53:24Speaker 9: hundred and forty former advisors from the Trump administration who
- 53:28Speaker 9: have been involved.
- 53:29Speaker 1: Okay.
- 53:31Speaker 9: Project twenty twenty five is a nine hundred page policy
- 53:35Speaker 9: wish list for Trump that would expand presidential power and
- 53:39Speaker 9: impose an ultra conservative plan for this country. Project twenty
- 53:44Speaker 9: twenty five proposes that the entire federal bureaucracy, including independent
- 53:48Speaker 9: agencies such as the Department of Justice, be placed under
- 53:53Speaker 9: direct presidential control. For black Americans, this could mean that
- 53:58Speaker 9: the DOJ or FBIS stops inquiries into police departments that
- 54:03Speaker 9: are seen to be violating civil rights and reject any
- 54:07Speaker 9: probe into police brutality or abuse.
- 54:10Speaker 4: Okay, so that's what I mean.
- 54:11Speaker 1: They just beat your ass at will and with no reprogressions.
- 54:15Speaker 1: Pretty much close to what they're doing now, except now
- 54:18Speaker 1: to be a law.
- 54:20Speaker 6: See.
- 54:21Speaker 1: That's why y'all, y'all need to understand. Say what Tommy
- 54:24Speaker 1: Trump said he didn't know nothing about. Of course, he didn't.
- 54:28Speaker 1: But the guy that wrote it was on his plane.
- 54:31Speaker 1: There's a picture of him on his plane. How many
- 54:32Speaker 1: people come on, man, get out of here. I'm telling y'all,
- 54:37Speaker 1: this guy is so dangerous. And all you blacks for Trump,
- 54:42Speaker 1: let me tell you what. If you don't vote, you
- 54:44Speaker 1: were black for Trump. If you got a T shirt
- 54:47Speaker 1: with black for Trump on it, you for Trump. We
- 54:49Speaker 1: have got to go this. Like Jamie Harrison said, this
- 54:52Speaker 1: is a critical election. You know. The election of Barack
- 54:56Speaker 1: Obama was huge for me. It was huge because it
- 55:00Speaker 1: it made me realize something that I never thought would
- 55:02Speaker 1: happen in my lifetime. We elected a black person to
- 55:06Speaker 1: be president of the United States. I didn't think that
- 55:08Speaker 1: would happen in my lifetime. But God is who he is, amen,
- 55:13Speaker 1: So it didn't matter little what I thought. Now this
- 55:18Speaker 1: election is critical because you have a chance to stop
- 55:24Speaker 1: a man from getting in office who's going to take
- 55:27Speaker 1: us back. This nine hundred page agenda in Project twenty
- 55:31Speaker 1: twenty five, it is loaded with stuff that will hurt
- 55:36Speaker 1: us all. And you don't know about it because they've
- 55:39Speaker 1: been telling you they got a big secret. It's a
- 55:42Speaker 1: nine hundred page document that's the big secret.
- 55:45Speaker 2: It's a book.
- 55:46Speaker 1: This book, This thirty five dollar maximum for insulin that's gone.
- 55:52Speaker 1: Educational programs that are gone. No more head Start, no
- 55:56Speaker 1: more food programs for children. Who you think that's gonna
- 56:00Speaker 1: hurt I educate. Our schools are already depleted resource. Now
- 56:04Speaker 1: they're not gonna do anything. They gonna stop all forms
- 56:09Speaker 1: of affirmative action. They are going to get rid of
- 56:12Speaker 1: all DEI. There will be no more. There will be
- 56:18Speaker 1: no more diversity, equality inclusion. That listen, That will be
- 56:23Speaker 1: no more history taught in schools about black history. Forget
- 56:28Speaker 1: what you're hearing on the internet. We don't need to
- 56:30Speaker 1: be worried about history. We need to worry about the future.
- 56:32Speaker 1: If you don't know the history, it'll repeat itself. That's
- 56:35Speaker 1: what's happening now. That's why he done got away with
- 56:37Speaker 1: make America great again.
- 56:39Speaker 9: Also see Vice President Kamala Harris reminded us that under
- 56:43Speaker 9: Project twenty twenty five, there would be a national monitor
- 56:47Speaker 9: that would monitor women's pregnancies and their miscarriages.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Okay, what so yeah, this is about that too, oh y'all.
- 56:55Speaker 1: Fina, y'all find get a gadget hooked up, y'all body, I.
- 56:59Speaker 4: Mean a monitor, a monitor to monitor our pregnancy.
- 57:03Speaker 2: That's insane, that's crazy.
- 57:06Speaker 4: Craziness is crazy. Yeah.
- 57:09Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 57:11Speaker 9: It also Project twenty twenty five proposes a mass deportation
- 57:16Speaker 9: of unauthorized immigrants.
- 57:18Speaker 4: Okay, I mean they'll ever stop with that.
- 57:21Speaker 6: This man is on Trump's plane, right, nine hundred page
- 57:24Speaker 6: and then Trump don't see this.
- 57:25Speaker 1: He don't see all that's going on, talking about he
- 57:28Speaker 1: didn't know, he didn't.
- 57:29Speaker 7: Know him onety Trump's advisors was involved, and he don't
- 57:34Speaker 7: know nothing.
- 57:35Speaker 4: And he's ready to go on day one though they've
- 57:38Speaker 4: already laid it up.
- 57:39Speaker 1: He know everything. Yeah, because but the biggest one, it
- 57:43Speaker 1: will give him absolute power to override the constitution. That's
- 57:48Speaker 1: what he really wants because he already told you want
- 57:50Speaker 1: to be a dictator. Yep.
- 57:51Speaker 9: No more democracy, no more right to vote, no more
- 57:54Speaker 9: going to the polls, none of that, exercising your right,
- 57:57Speaker 9: your power, none of that.
- 57:59Speaker 4: That's why this election is so important. All of this
- 58:02Speaker 4: is on the ballot.
- 58:03Speaker 1: This is why y'all.
- 58:04Speaker 4: Yeah, have to vote today.
- 58:07Speaker 1: This is it, This is our last day today.
- 58:09Speaker 4: This is not we keep saying it's not a drill.
- 58:12Speaker 1: This is it today.
- 58:13Speaker 4: Drill is not a game.
- 58:14Speaker 18: None of that.

- 59:13Speaker 18: here for the longest listening at everything that's going on,
- 59:17Speaker 18: confirming what our vice president, which is going to be
- 59:20Speaker 18: to shoot your president of the United States of America.

- 59:44Speaker 18: of voters, I just don't understand.
- 59:47Speaker 20: But anyway, as as Uncle Steve said, and uncle Uncle
- 59:51Speaker 20: Nate gonna put on.
- 59:51Speaker 19: Top of that, get to the pole. Let's show up
- 59:56Speaker 19: and show out.
- 59:57Speaker 20: It don't take no rocket sign the s out that
- 1:00:01Speaker 20: we need this young lady in there who's going to
- 1:00:05Speaker 20: take charge with leadership, and she's fighting for the people.
- 1:00:10Speaker 20: This young lady been fighting for the people when she
- 1:00:13Speaker 20: was a young lady when in high school went on
- 1:00:15Speaker 20: and her friend was going to school and her friend
- 1:00:18Speaker 20: was being abused by her stepdad and whatnot, and the
- 1:00:22Speaker 20: mom saying, let her come stay with us. So this
- 1:00:25Speaker 20: young lady being demonstrated through her actions people, if y'all listen,
- 1:00:30Speaker 20: I'm using Steve's platform to get the word out.
- 1:00:35Speaker 19: And we got to get to the pole. Our people
- 1:00:38Speaker 19: had paid the price, the dogs, stick throwing, the bigger
- 1:00:41Speaker 19: clubs fires and something even lost their life. Let's not
- 1:00:46Speaker 19: let that go in vain. Let's use our voices and
- 1:00:51Speaker 19: our voice to.
- 1:00:52Speaker 10: Be heard at the pole.
- 1:00:54Speaker 19: She had to pull with my people and everyone else.

- 1:01:05Speaker 19: or left your timing Junior or sure the strawbearter call
- 1:01:10Speaker 19: old Mississippi.
- 1:01:11Speaker 20: Monica g Andy Brown sometimes you know because you in
- 1:01:14Speaker 20: and out.
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: But man, y'all the whole crew, y'all be blessed.
- 1:01:19Speaker 19: And keep on keeping all my brother I love all y'all,
- 1:01:22Speaker 19: my brothers, and take care.
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: That was one of my favorite phone calls. I know
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: you are. You are visually impaired. I don't know how
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: long you've been that way, but you can see. You
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: can see what we need to do. I know that,
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: and just don't want to just throw out something to
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: your uncle Nate. Listen to me. I don't know how
- 1:01:43Speaker 1: long you've been visually impaired. I don't know if you
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: used to see and you lost your sight. But let
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: me just give you this little nugget. Uh the woman,
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: that young lady you're trying to get in the post,
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: she's nice looking too. Just gonna throw that out for
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: you if you got anything you want to put on
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: that in your mind. Just Uncle Steve just man, the
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: man throwing that out to you too. She's nice looking too. Dogs.
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: So just want to put that out there. I don't
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: know what you're gonna conture up in your mind, but
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: I just wanted to throw that out there. Why you
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: just you know, in case you're down there at the poets,
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: just cause then you can't see good. Yeah, I just
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: try to throw something out when the last time you
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: saw whatever that was? That where she at right now?
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: Thank you for that phone call, Uncle's uncle.
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: Thanks, But you know you got to do stuff for
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: people like that.
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: You just got the you know, I'm sure that's grateful. Steve.
- 1:02:33Speaker 4: All right, here's another caller with the message for black people.
- 1:02:36Speaker 7: These I like the way you put stuff in order.
- 1:02:40Speaker 15: Man, you are one real brother.
- 1:02:42Speaker 7: Black people need to put stuff together. Then the organize
- 1:02:46Speaker 7: their thoughts. Okay, the marriage and the family's unattacked and
- 1:02:50Speaker 7: so many things on the attack with the elections. The
- 1:02:53Speaker 7: people don't understand that the obstacles that are going to
- 1:02:56Speaker 7: do in their lives, they're not taking any serious. Life
- 1:03:00Speaker 7: is something that you don't play with. There's so many
- 1:03:02Speaker 7: four reasons while you're living, our brothers and sisters sacrificed
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: themselves years ago, and that's why so many people are
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: now living the fruitfulness of what those people are sacrificed for.
- 1:03:15Speaker 7: It's so sad that coming down to those elections, a
- 1:03:18Speaker 7: lot of people cannot think and put their thoughts together
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: to understand that this is something that we cannot play with.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: This is our children's future.
- 1:03:28Speaker 7: Okay, look at life now. How many people play games?
- 1:03:32Speaker 7: How many people have these funny thoughts about just thinking
- 1:03:35Speaker 7: that it's so unreal. You cannot play around with pretentious
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: people who do not like you. The marriage is on
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: that attack. Family is on an attack, and people are
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: looking at it like it's a joke. A real nice
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: black family right now, with a man and a woman
- 1:03:51Speaker 7: with three four black kids. There's a genuine, authentic family.
- 1:03:55Speaker 7: The people who are solid, who are going to inspire society,
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: bring more fruitfulness into the world. They don't want that
- 1:04:01Speaker 7: hurts alive. I don't want to really try to push
- 1:04:04Speaker 7: this forward because I have a lot more to say
- 1:04:06Speaker 7: that inside of me. But I've just leaving this brief
- 1:04:09Speaker 7: message to let you know that I love the show.
- 1:04:12Speaker 7: I love what you guys actually talk about a lot
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: of read a lot of topics that you guys, really
- 1:04:17Speaker 7: put on out there for people to actually give the
- 1:04:21Speaker 7: strong reasoning thoats and the understanding minds to understand what
- 1:04:25Speaker 7: exactly what life is about.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: Hey, Steeve, we hate to cut this color off, but
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: we are.
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: I don't have to cut it off. I don't hate
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: to cut I think no, you know what. I think
- 1:04:35Speaker 1: he had a valid point. First of all, thank you
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: brother for your phone call. Now let's have a secret message.
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: I know you. You're under the porch somewhere. We got
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: to go there for address. I can say somebody that
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: you just let me know where you.
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: You're listening Steve Hardy Morning Show Guys, today is election day.
- 1:05:07Speaker 9: We're not playing around anymore. Today is the day you
- 1:05:11Speaker 9: have to get out and vote. If you haven't voted already, Steve,
- 1:05:15Speaker 9: here's a trending story from our home station in Philly
- 1:05:18Speaker 9: at one oh five point three WDASFM. Somehow, I don't know,
- 1:05:23Speaker 9: I think he was speaking directly to you and for you, Steve. Yesterday,
- 1:05:28Speaker 9: during an election security press conference, Philadelphia's district Attorney Larry
- 1:05:33Speaker 9: Krasner issued a warning to anyone trying to intimidate voters.
- 1:05:37Speaker 21: Take a listen, Steve, go vote if they have not
- 1:05:39Speaker 21: voted already, that everybody in the city is working and
- 1:05:43Speaker 21: has been working for months to make sure that there
- 1:05:46Speaker 21: will be nothing tough about that experience and nothing to
- 1:05:49Speaker 21: fear and that experience.
- 1:05:52Speaker 22: But I also want to be clear. Anybody who thinks
- 1:05:55Speaker 22: it's time to play militia.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: F around to find out.
- 1:06:01Speaker 22: Anybody who thinks it's time to insult, to deride, to mistreat,
- 1:06:08Speaker 22: to threaten people, f around and find out. We do
- 1:06:12Speaker 22: have the cuffs, we do have the jail cells, we
- 1:06:14Speaker 22: do have the Philly juris, and we have the state prisons.
- 1:06:18Speaker 22: So if you're going to try to turn an election
- 1:06:22Speaker 22: into some form of coercion, if you're going to try
- 1:06:24Speaker 22: to bully people, bully votes or voters, you're gonna try
- 1:06:27Speaker 22: to erase votes, you're.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Gonna try any of that nonsense.
- 1:06:31Speaker 19: We're not playing.
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: F around to find out. You've never heard of white
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: and Julis say that was for you. I was sitting
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: here because I was saying the word for him whole time.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: He was taught.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: The District Attorney of Philly is not playing.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: If you want to, because they know Philly is important.
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: If you're in Philly and you haven't voted. Y'all listen
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: to me. It's gold time, brothers, sisters, people. You got
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: to go down there and y'all got to cast the
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: right vote today. Stop listening to that rect when you
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: go on that booth, man, ain't nobody got to know?
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: You can go back to your house and tell your husband, yeah,
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: we voted. No, you should go in there and vote
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: for the right person. Because right now, man, following the
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: party lines in the Republican Party don't make no sense.
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: Right now, because the party line has been redirected by
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: a person who is not fit to hold public office.
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: And because you are willing to overlook the thirty four
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: felony convictions, the sexual assaults, the twice impeachments, the negative,
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: the fear, the bigotry, the hatred that he has spread,
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: the nastiness of which he talks about people, because you're
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: willing to overlook that. Why why are you suddenly willing
- 1:07:57Speaker 1: to overlook that when that's been the whole basis of
- 1:07:59Speaker 1: your party, the moral party, and now you're gonna let
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: somebody with his immoral ass occupy the White House again.
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Y'all got to be kidding me. Man, You haven't chair
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: go down and the polls down there and do the
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: right thing to day.
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: Yep, today is election day. Coming up. At the top
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: of the hour, we will have more.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: Find out.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Right you're listening Morning Show.
- 1:08:27Speaker 9: All right, guys, we are here. Today's the day. It
- 1:08:30Speaker 9: is election day. We've been talking about this for I
- 1:08:33Speaker 9: don't know how long now. Vice President Kamala Harris has
- 1:08:37Speaker 9: been campaigning for the last one hundred and seven days.
- 1:08:41Speaker 4: It is time. Now she's put in her work. We
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: need to put in our work and go to the
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: polls and vote. If you have all ready, yes, she is.
- 1:08:50Speaker 4: She is a leader.
- 1:08:51Speaker 9: She has shown you how disciplined she is, how much
- 1:08:54Speaker 9: energy she has, how much.
- 1:08:56Speaker 4: Joy she has, how ready she is for this job.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: She's shown us.
- 1:09:00Speaker 4: So we got to do our part.
- 1:09:02Speaker 9: Here's some trending news from our home station at ninety
- 1:09:05Speaker 9: six point three w h U r SM Tommy, Yeah, Washington,
- 1:09:15Speaker 9: d C. It's on the campus of Howard University in Washington, DC.
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:09:23Speaker 9: Vice President Kamalin Harris, yes, you know, has chosen her
- 1:09:29Speaker 9: alma mater, Howard University, as her election night headquarters. Yes,
- 1:09:38Speaker 9: it is.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: It is the campus.
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:09:42Speaker 9: The campus is closed today with no classes Tonight's event
- 1:09:46Speaker 9: will have strict access. This is the first time a
- 1:09:50Speaker 9: presidential election watch party will be held on a college campus.
- 1:09:55Speaker 9: The Vice president graduated yeah from Howard University in nineteen
- 1:10:00Speaker 9: eighty six. The decision on Howard University as a location
- 1:10:04Speaker 9: of her.
- 1:10:04Speaker 4: Election headquarters for her potential victory speech is a history
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: making moment, as Kamala Harris would be the first HBC
- 1:10:13Speaker 4: you graduate to holy office of President of the United
- 1:10:16Speaker 4: States of the World.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: That is. That's why I'm telling you all that. I
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: think there is a quiet agenda that has been held.
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: I think the Panelymic Council has done some work that
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: has not been counted. I think the Akas have spearheaded
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: this thing. I think that the Deltas have joined in.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: The Sigma Gamma rolls to Zadas. I know the Cus
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: is on this. I know the capitalistn got involved. I
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: know the Alphas is involved, the Sigmas is involved, the
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: Iotas is involved. Big shout out to the one and
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: only that damn Steve Harvey Morning Showcase here yeah and
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: dedicated to this hip thing for real. They've been my
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: a hey, my producers, Mississippi Monica, Carla Shirley been leading.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: We all junior timer. We've been in here pushing. We
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: have done some work that we haven't done in the
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: past before. And I think it's gonna show up because
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: I don't think they counted us. But I'm gonna tell
- 1:11:23Speaker 1: you how important the black vote is and everybody want it,
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: but one of them don't really appreciate it. As soon
- 1:11:34Speaker 1: as they get one black person in their rally, they
- 1:11:37Speaker 1: started attacking them and making fun of them. What y'all doing, man,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: y'all either want the black people that you don't, but
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: you really don't. You want to use them, but you
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: really don't want to include them because they're not including
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: to all of my listeners who have not voted today,
- 1:11:57Speaker 1: it's your chance, go and vote and take somebody with you.
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: When y'all get down there in line, y'all be considered
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: an elderly. If you see an elderly person walk theme
- 1:12:07Speaker 1: to the front, ask somebody if they can cut the line.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: Let them old people get their vote in so they
- 1:12:11Speaker 1: can get up out of that. If you see them
- 1:12:13Speaker 1: needing a chair, give them a chair. If you see
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: them needing some water, give them some water. But if
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: you see an old person in line, man, and you
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: know the elder they standing there, Hey, man, walk theme
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: to the front. Just show some respect. You can wait
- 1:12:27Speaker 1: all we make one person longer. Just get them to
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: the front.
- 1:12:30Speaker 5: Man.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Let's do what we gotta do. But we're gonna show
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: up and show out today. Man, I'm tired is here
- 1:12:35Speaker 1: because what you cannot let this man be in that
- 1:12:38Speaker 1: White House. Y'all don't know the pain you gonna be in.
- 1:12:42Speaker 1: You will be in a pain. You will not believe
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: the whole country gonna be in a pain because all
- 1:12:47Speaker 1: them Trumps, all them Poe ass Trump voters that vote
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: for him thinking he care about them. You gonna suffer too,
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: because if they take their Affordable Care Act Obamacare away.
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: You don't know how many people gonna suffer from that.
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: All of you, all right, get out and vote today.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: It's election day people. We'll be back with more of
- 1:13:05Speaker 4: the Steve Harvey Morning Show at twenty minutes after the hour.
- 1:13:08Speaker 4: Right after this, you're listening Steve.
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:13:15Speaker 9: We talk a lot about the swing states or the
- 1:13:17Speaker 9: battleground states during this election cycle. They are Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada,
- 1:13:24Speaker 9: North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. We've talked about them a
- 1:13:29Speaker 9: lot on this show, and you hear everybody talking about
- 1:13:32Speaker 9: them during this election cycle. These states have a population
- 1:13:36Speaker 9: of voters who are almost evenly divided politically. During the
- 1:13:40Speaker 9: days leading up to an election, both the Democrats and
- 1:13:43Speaker 9: the Republicans see an opportunity to win over swing states
- 1:13:48Speaker 9: and therefore invested huge amounts of money and time for
- 1:13:52Speaker 9: campaigns within these battleground states. That's why you see the
- 1:13:56Speaker 9: candidates going back and forth to these states during this
- 1:14:00Speaker 9: election time.
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: That's why the winner.
- 1:14:02Speaker 9: Take All principal determines which candidate receives all of the
- 1:14:06Speaker 9: state's electoral votes. If you live in one of these states,
- 1:14:11Speaker 9: you have to vote Steve. Tell him that's Philly, that's Detroit, Atlanta.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: Biden win Nevada last time I thought he did. Yeh.
- 1:14:20Speaker 1: The problem was Georgia. Yes, Georgia turned blue. Yes, with
- 1:14:27Speaker 1: the exception of Governor. We lost it with Henders took Kim.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: But we got two senators out of them.
- 1:14:34Speaker 4: Yeah we did, Yes, Yes, Biden one Nevada.
- 1:14:37Speaker 19: In twenty twenty.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: If we can get this Senat out of Texas. Baby.
- 1:14:42Speaker 4: So if you live in these states, you have to vote.
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: Your vote is powerful.
- 1:14:46Speaker 9: Coming up at thirty three minutes after the hour, we
- 1:14:48Speaker 9: will have more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show on
- 1:14:51Speaker 9: this very important election day twenty twenty four.
- 1:14:55Speaker 4: Right after this, you're listening Harvey Morning Show.
- 1:15:00Speaker 9: We've been talking about the election all day and we
- 1:15:02Speaker 9: will continue to talk about that, but we have to
- 1:15:05Speaker 9: take a pause for a moment and offer our deepest
- 1:15:08Speaker 9: condolences to the family of the late great Quincy Jones.
- 1:15:12Speaker 9: Quincy Jones passed away yesterday at the age of ninety one.
- 1:15:17Speaker 9: Quincy's legacy is legendary.
- 1:15:19Speaker 4: It's iconic. From thriller Off the Wall, We Are the World,
- 1:15:23Speaker 4: just to name a few.
- 1:15:25Speaker 9: According to USA Today, Steve Quincy Jones, of course, was
- 1:15:28Speaker 9: a musician, a music producer who broke down racial boundaries
- 1:15:32Speaker 9: in music and in film. He's one of the most
- 1:15:35Speaker 9: revered music producers in history. His musical influence can't be overstated.
- 1:15:41Speaker 9: He was nominated for like eighty Grammys, he won like
- 1:15:44Speaker 9: twenty eight.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: I mean, I still down here, you know what, And
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: you know, I know everybody post pictures when somebody passes.
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: I have a lot of pictures with Quincy. Quincy was
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: a mentor to me when me and said had the
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Show over at the CBS lot. Quincy had
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: produced the Vibe the Vibe Show and Chris Bency was
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: the host, and we used to go over every day
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: and watch all the guests that came through because we
- 1:16:21Speaker 1: knew everybody. And Quincy would have me come up to
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: the office all the time and talk to me about
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: different things and teach me aspects of the business that
- 1:16:30Speaker 1: I didn't know. And he had me come to his house.
- 1:16:33Speaker 1: I mean, I've been to this dude's home whenever. And man,
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: let me tell you what this dude did up in
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: his neighborhood. He started buying all the properties up there.
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: So he bought his house, then he bought the He
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: lived in a could sac, so he bought the area behind,
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: and he tore all those houses down and built one
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: big house, and then he bought all the houses on
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: the block, so that whole block was his. But I
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: watched that new house I was getting built and everything,
- 1:17:01Speaker 1: and I watched this man's vision. I watched him deal
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: with Michael Jackson, talk to Michael Jackson. He would he
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: would tell Michael no. In a heartbeat. He was just
- 1:17:13Speaker 1: tell him no. Man, no, man, no, man, you gotta
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: listen to me. This is what I do. One of
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: the top stories, Yeah, one of the top stories that's
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: out was you know, don't stop do Again? You know
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: you remember that at the beginning of that song, Michael
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Jackson called called Quincy one time and told him. He said, man,
- 1:17:36Speaker 1: take that out is killing my mood. He said, no, man,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: we're not taking that out. And it was at violin
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: at the beginning of it, and that was the iconic
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: part of the song. And Michael said, no, you gotta
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: take it out as killing my group. He said, I'm
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: not taking out. But he told Michael, he said, you
- 1:17:52Speaker 1: don't tell me what to do. So the reporter asked
- 1:17:58Speaker 1: Quincy Jones. He asked him, he said, so, how did
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: it go? He said, you saw us in there, didn't you. Yes,
- 1:18:06Speaker 1: the type of dude it was. Man, great, brilliant man,
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: great brother.
- 1:18:10Speaker 9: We just want to say rest in peace, Quincy Jones.
- 1:18:15Speaker 9: Coming up at forty nine minutes after the hour. It
- 1:18:17Speaker 9: is our last break of the day on this election day,
- 1:18:21Speaker 9: and we'll close out the show with the one and
- 1:18:23Speaker 9: only Steve Harvey right after this.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: You're listening Harvey Morning Show all right, Steve, what a
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: day it is. Election day.
- 1:18:32Speaker 9: It's just getting started. But the polls are open. We
- 1:18:34Speaker 9: want to say thanks to Democratic Party national chair Jamie Harrison.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Their polls are open, the lines are developing. It's going
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: to be one of them days, y'all. And it's one
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: of them days. Listen to me. The thing about us
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: that I know about us is we know how to endure.
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: Black people, brown people. They know how to endure. You
- 1:19:04Speaker 1: have had to. How else could you have survived this
- 1:19:10Speaker 1: the United States of America if you didn't have the
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: ability to endure. You know what? One of the somebody
- 1:19:19Speaker 1: asked me one time, They said, Steve, what's one of
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: your main attributes? I was talking to Keon Henderson, pastor
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Kean Henderson, and we were talking and he says, Steve,
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: what's one of your main attributes? I said, you know
- 1:19:32Speaker 1: what it is, man, I've learned how to suffer. I
- 1:19:39Speaker 1: suffer extremely well. God has given me the strength, the courage,
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: the wisdom and to know how to stand still in
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: the face, in the face of all adversity and just
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: deal with it. God gave me that. If I didn't
- 1:19:59Speaker 1: have that abilit to just deal with it. A lot
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: of the stuff would have just broke me, because I've
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: seen it break other people. But through God's strength, because
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: the Bible says all things are possible, All things are
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: possible for those who love the Lord, and I love him,
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: so He's giving me that. But you know where I
- 1:20:25Speaker 1: got it from. I got it from my father. You
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: know where my father got it from, from his daddy,
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: from his mama. My grandfather was a slave till he
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: was twelve years old. My grandfather.
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: What you.
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: My daddy was born in nineteen fourteen. His father was
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: a slave till he was twelve. Do you understand what
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: I'm telling you? Slavery didn't end because of Emancipation Proclamation.
- 1:20:54Speaker 1: That slavery didn't end. That was slavery in Ohio to
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: nineteen thirty six. That were people held on plantations known
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: documented as late as nineteen thirty six. I read the
- 1:21:09Speaker 1: book called the Emancipation of Robert E. Sadler. He lived
- 1:21:15Speaker 1: in Bruce, Cyrus, Ohio. I drove this cent in front
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: of his house one time when I worked for when
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: I worked for General Electric, I got history. Man, I'm
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: sixty seven years old. I've been around. I done seen
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: a lot that's why. It just troubles me when I
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: hear people talking about we're gonna sit it out at
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: the polls. We ain't going down there to vote. Now,
- 1:21:34Speaker 1: you have to man for all of the people who
- 1:21:38Speaker 1: paved the way for the eighty eight year old caller
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: who called in today who asked everybody to go vote
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: for her mama and neam. For the man that called
- 1:21:47Speaker 1: in and said we was under police attack, firehose german
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: shepherds stopping us from voting, and they stood in line
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: so we could vote anyway. We got to vote. Man,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: it's just a day. You can't lose your job for
- 1:22:03Speaker 1: standing in line at the polls voting. They cannot discipline
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: you and cause you paying on your job. You go
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: straight to h y'all with that, man, y'all got rights now.
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: But if we keep letting these we let the wrong
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: person get in. Project twenty twenty five gonna take care
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: of all these votes. You have got to vote today.
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: Go stand in line, and once you are in line,
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: even when the polls close, they cannot remove you from line.
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: They cannot remove you from the line. Also, Jamie Harrison
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: called in and said, if you have any trouble at
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: the polls today. If you sense any oakie dope, go
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: to I will vote dot Com immediately. They have lawyers
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: standing by. They will protect your right to vote. Don't

- 1:22:56Speaker 1: fold your arms and be brown. We ain going for
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: the ok today. I have my credentials. I don't care
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: what you say. And if you run up into any problem,
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: let them have the smoke. I will vote dot Com
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: and get these lawyers down there and involved. Find you
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: a black pole worker and walk up to them and say, hey,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: this is what I'm trying to do. They over here
- 1:23:17Speaker 1: talking about this right here. It's people over there that
- 1:23:19Speaker 1: will help you. If you are in line today and
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: you see an elderly person and they even look like
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: they remotely might be struggling, help them out, get them
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: some assistance, get them to the front of the line.
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: They want to vote because they know the importance of it.
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: They ain't early voted because it's been a tradition to
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: them to go get in line. My mom and daddy
- 1:23:43Speaker 1: wasn't no early voting. They went down there and still
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: in line. My daddy missed work. He went early soon
- 1:23:48Speaker 1: as it's over, he told Frank, buddy, I'll be late today.
- 1:23:51Speaker 1: I'm going to vote. I right, not just don't be
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: down there too long. My father hanging up on on
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: blanket the blank blank blank blank blank blank, I'm going
