Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Well, he's back the emost hated and love man and
- 0:04Speaker 1: social media. Donald Trump is coming back with his truth
- 0:08Speaker 1: social network, and it is going to make liberals go insane.
- 0:14Speaker 1: Donald Trump Junior came out and talked about the return
- 0:18Speaker 1: of the President Donald Trump to social media, and he
- 0:23Speaker 1: also said more than that, this will give a voice
- 0:25Speaker 1: back to those who need it, those who have been silenced. Now,
- 0:29Speaker 1: if you've been silenced by social media's shadow band by
- 0:32Speaker 1: social media, have been shut down, or they take away
- 0:35Speaker 1: your ability to post certain stories, which happened to me
- 0:37Speaker 1: and many other conservatives. When you hear something like this,
- 0:41Speaker 1: you get excited for good reason. So what exactly is
- 0:45Speaker 1: truth social here's a little bit more about it from
- 0:49Speaker 1: Donald Trump Junior joining us Now, Donald Trump Junior, I
- 0:52Speaker 1: want to stop with this big news. Looking at just
- 0:55Speaker 1: thenews dot com, our friend John Solomon, editor in chief.
- 0:59Speaker 1: Trump announces formation of own media company, social platform to
- 1:04Speaker 1: counter censorship, to give a voice to all. And what
- 1:11Speaker 1: can you tell us about it? Well, Sean, it's a
- 1:13Speaker 1: big deal. You know, for so long, big tech has
- 1:16Speaker 1: suppressed conservative voices. If your pro Second Amendment, if you're
- 1:19Speaker 1: pro life, if you're a religious, if you're just a conservative.
- 1:22Speaker 1: You have been in Facebook jail, you have been d platform,
- 1:25Speaker 1: you have been demonetized. What we're trying to do is
- 1:28Speaker 1: create a big, tense and open and free network for
- 1:33Speaker 1: people to be able to communicate, to exercise your First
- 1:36Speaker 1: Amendment rights. And so tonight my father signed a definitive
- 1:39Speaker 1: merger agreement to form what will ultimately be the Trump
- 1:43Speaker 1: Media and Technology Group and Truth Social, a platform for
- 1:48Speaker 1: everyone to express their feelings big tech and all of
- 1:52Speaker 1: those on the left. For so long, Sean have been saying, well,
- 1:55Speaker 1: if you don't like the rules that we really enforce
- 1:58Speaker 1: only one way on our platform, go create your own.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And so we did just that. So that's gonna launch
- 2:05Speaker 1: very soon. We're gonna be in beta testing in the
- 2:07Speaker 1: next few weeks, full launch first quarter of twenty two.
- 2:12Speaker 1: It's going to be exciting. And we're looking to give
- 2:15Speaker 1: a voice back to the American people. You saw what
- 2:18Speaker 1: they did to the President of the United States. We
- 2:21Speaker 1: want to make sure that Americans have a voice, no
- 2:25Speaker 1: political discrimination. We're going to cancel cancel culture. We're gonna
- 2:29Speaker 1: stand up and push back against the tyranny of big tech.
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think America has been waiting for this. We've been
- 2:35Speaker 1: working on it for a while. We've kept it under wraps,
- 2:38Speaker 1: but now we are in process to get that going
- 2:41Speaker 1: to return our voice back to those who need it
- 2:45Speaker 1: and who want it, Conservatives everywhere and frankly, people everywhere,
- 2:49Speaker 1: because we want a discourse amongst everyone, not a one
- 2:52Speaker 1: side of platform where if someone on the left disagrees
- 2:55Speaker 1: with you, they just cancel you and wipe you out.
- 2:57Speaker 1: So go to truth social dot com. Sign up. We'll
- 3:01Speaker 1: get you involved on the beta testing when that launches
- 3:04Speaker 1: in a few weeks, and then we're gonna launch fully
- 3:06Speaker 1: in twenty two. It's gonna be awesome. By the way,
- 3:10Speaker 1: if you have not gone a truth Social, you need
- 3:13Speaker 1: to do it. It's amazing to see that they're going
- 3:16Speaker 1: to do this. And this is part of the reason
- 3:17Speaker 1: why you've noticed Donald Trump has not been joining any
- 3:20Speaker 1: other social networks that have popped up. And the reason
- 3:24Speaker 1: is because he was creating his own. And we all
- 3:26Speaker 1: knew this. It was pretty obvious, right, Look, he's gonna
- 3:29Speaker 1: start his own. Get ready, He's going to start his
- 3:31Speaker 1: own and that is exactly what he is doing here. Now.
- 3:36Speaker 1: One of the parts that Don Junior said there that
- 3:38Speaker 1: I think is so important is the fact that he says, Look,
- 3:42Speaker 1: we're going to talk about what the mainstream media is
- 3:44Speaker 1: covering up. We're going to allow you to post things
- 3:48Speaker 1: that are not going to be censored when it comes
- 3:50Speaker 1: to vaccines and mandates and hydroxic chloric quim and all
- 3:55Speaker 1: of these different things that the social media big tech
- 3:58Speaker 1: as silencing. We're gonna have a grand debate because they
- 4:02Speaker 1: have been biased for far too long. It's amazing because they,
- 4:06Speaker 1: you know, the most extreme ayatollahs Amulas, they have a
- 4:11Speaker 1: platform on Twitter. Your father's canceled. Let me have everything
- 4:14Speaker 1: that we were talking about earlier with Kevin McCarthy and
- 4:16Speaker 1: with Senator Kennedy. Afghanistan, preventable the border, preventable energy independence.
- 4:22Speaker 1: We had it, Joe gave it up. He's now begging opek,
- 4:25Speaker 1: the economy, the supply chain disaster. More people dead in
- 4:29Speaker 1: this country from COVID this year than last year. I
- 4:32Speaker 1: don't see any more of those those COVID counts on
- 4:35Speaker 1: fake news CNN or MSDNC Don Junior No. One hundred
- 4:41Speaker 1: because our news has been so biased for so long,
- 4:44Speaker 1: our social media platforms have been so biased for so long.
- 4:47Speaker 1: As long as they're able to further their narrative, they
- 4:50Speaker 1: will talk about it. The second gets in the way
- 4:53Speaker 1: of their narrative, all of a sudden, it magically disappears.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It's blacklisted. You won't see it anywhere, And that was
- 4:59Speaker 1: a big part of why we wanted to create Truth
- 5:02Speaker 1: Social We want to make sure that these things get
- 5:05Speaker 1: out there. You see it with big tech, you see
- 5:08Speaker 1: it in the search engines. You look up a major
- 5:10Speaker 1: topic and all you see is the CNN, MSNBC, YadA, YadA, YadA,
- 5:15Speaker 1: the leftist narrative all the way down. You can never
- 5:18Speaker 1: get to the other side of the story, and so
- 5:20Speaker 1: we want to make sure that the other side of
- 5:22Speaker 1: the story is finally heard. Yes, you've listed sean all
- 5:25Speaker 1: of the disasters of this administration, and there's so many more.
- 5:28Speaker 1: There's not a single success that anyone could point to,
- 5:32Speaker 1: unless you're perhaps in China, in which case they're loving
- 5:35Speaker 1: Joe Biden because he's doing a phenomenal job for the
- 5:38Speaker 1: Chinese and their ambitions to take over the world. If
- 5:42Speaker 1: you live in Russia, you're probably pretty happy too, because
- 5:44Speaker 1: Joe's policies are making Putin and Russia rich again. Interesting
- 5:48Speaker 1: Hunter made money from Russia and China and Kazakhstan and
- 5:53Speaker 1: Ukraine of course, and the last name where Trump. I
- 5:55Speaker 1: think it would be a different story, all right. So
- 5:57Speaker 1: the launch is in first quarter twenty twenty two. People
- 6:00Speaker 1: can go to what website to sign up? Yeah, go
- 6:05Speaker 1: to truthsocial dot com. You could sign up there, and
- 6:08Speaker 1: in a couple of weeks you're gonna actually can be
- 6:10Speaker 1: part of the beta testing over the site. And then
- 6:12Speaker 1: you're gonna have the full launch in early twenty twenty two,
- 6:15Speaker 1: and we're finally gonna push back against the tyranny of
- 6:18Speaker 1: big tech. I love it. By the way, this is
- 6:20Speaker 1: run in time for the mid term elections. You noticed
- 6:22Speaker 1: this now. One of the reasons why this is so
- 6:26Speaker 1: important is I'm going to give you a headline that's
- 6:28Speaker 1: already been shut down from being shared on social media.
- 6:35Speaker 1: NIH has come out and has contradicted doctor Fauci, admitting
- 6:41Speaker 1: that funding of gain of function research did happen in
- 6:46Speaker 1: America paid for it at the Wuhan Lab. We tried
- 6:51Speaker 1: to share this article earlier on social media. We were
- 6:54Speaker 1: not allowed to share it at all. The mocular biologists
- 7:00Speaker 1: Richard Ebright has posted a letter from the NIH showing
- 7:05Speaker 1: that an NIH grant did fund gang A function research
- 7:10Speaker 1: at the Wuhan Institute of Virology, contrary to what doctor
- 7:14Speaker 1: Fauci had testified to the Senate, which would mean that
- 7:17Speaker 1: he lied. Faunci testified to senators out of hearing in
- 7:22Speaker 1: May that the NAH had never ever and does not
- 7:26Speaker 1: now fund gain of function research in the Wuhan Institute
- 7:30Speaker 1: of Virology quote unquote. However, the nih is October twentieth
- 7:37Speaker 1: letter to House Oversight Committee ranking Member James Comer, Republican Kentucky,
- 7:43Speaker 1: showed that the NIH grant, which was awarded to Echo
- 7:47Speaker 1: Health Alliance and then sub awarded to the Wuhan Lab,
- 7:52Speaker 1: fund today research project during twenty eighteen and nineteen that tested, quote,
- 7:58Speaker 1: if spike proteins from naturally occurring back coronaviruses circulating in China,
- 8:04Speaker 1: we're capable of binding to the human AC two receptor
- 8:12Speaker 1: in a mouse model quote unquote. The letter added quote,
- 8:18Speaker 1: In this limited experiment laboratory, mice infected with the SHCO
- 8:26Speaker 1: fourteen w I vii bat coronavirus became sicker than those
- 8:32Speaker 1: infected with the wi v one back coronavirus. This is
- 8:37Speaker 1: gain A function research, folks. According to the Department of
- 8:40Speaker 1: Health and Human Services, quote unquote, gain a function research
- 8:44Speaker 1: is research that improves the ability of a pathogen to
- 8:47Speaker 1: cause disease. Ebright tweeted that in the letter, the NIH
- 8:54Speaker 1: corrects untruthful assertions by the NIH director Colin and the
- 9:01Speaker 1: NIAID director Fauci that the NIH had not funded gain
- 9:07Speaker 1: a Function research in Wuhan. Translation, doctor Fauci lied under
- 9:14Speaker 1: oath to Congress. Will there be any ramifications for this now?
- 9:21Speaker 1: This contradiction is on the Department of Health and Human
- 9:24Speaker 1: Services letterhead dated October twentieth in response to this request. Again,
- 9:33Speaker 1: the NIH, it is on paper, it has been delivered
- 9:37Speaker 1: to Congress, corrects the untruthful assertion. I call that a
- 9:41Speaker 1: lie by the NIH director Collins and the NIAID director Fauci,
- 9:48Speaker 1: that the NIH did not fund gain a Function research
- 9:51Speaker 1: in Wuhan. The NIH states that again Echo Health Alliance
- 9:57Speaker 1: violated terms and conditions of the grant. Doctor Fauci lied
- 10:02Speaker 1: to Congress. Will there be any accountability for this? Now?
- 10:07Speaker 1: A lot of you may be seeing the headlines about
- 10:11Speaker 1: Steve Bannon. Steve Bannon, Steve Bannon, They're gonna vote in
- 10:14Speaker 1: the full House, breaking news headline Steve Bannon is gonna
- 10:17Speaker 1: go to jail because he's refusing the subpoenas on the
- 10:20Speaker 1: January six and they're coming after him. They're gonna vote
- 10:23Speaker 1: on at the full House, and they're gonna pound him,
- 10:25Speaker 1: and they're gonna arrest him. He's saying executive privilege doesn't matter. Right,
- 10:28Speaker 1: We're gonna nail him. We are gonna nail Steve Bannon.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Steve Bannon, spawn of Satan. Steve Bannon is the worst
- 10:35Speaker 1: person the world. Steve Bannon help orchestrate nine to eleven,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I mean January six, right, because it's the equivalent if
- 10:41Speaker 1: you listen to these guys. That's what the media is
- 10:44Speaker 1: focusing on right now. I wonder why the media is
- 10:48Speaker 1: not focusing on doctor Fauci Lyne. Wonder why they're not
- 10:52Speaker 1: going wall to wall with the NIH saying doctor Fauchi
- 10:55Speaker 1: lied admitting funding gain of function research to the Wuhan
- 10:58Speaker 1: Lab with your tax dollars, which is not supposed to
- 11:00Speaker 1: happen technically, it's actually against the law. Remember sendor Ran
- 11:06Speaker 1: Paul Senda ram Paul has not stopped talking and recounting
- 11:11Speaker 1: every exchange with doctor Fauci as he's been standing up
- 11:14Speaker 1: to doctor Fauci's lies and his lies on GANTA function. Now,
- 11:17Speaker 1: if we're gonna go after Steve Bannon and we're gonna
- 11:20Speaker 1: put him in jail, then how is doctor Faucci not
- 11:23Speaker 1: in jail right now? I'm just using the same logic. Okay, Now,
- 11:28Speaker 1: Bannon hasn't lied to Congress, by the way, Faucci apparently has.
- 11:32Speaker 1: Bannon just refusing to testify in January sixth with a subpoena,
- 11:35Speaker 1: and they're acting like he is a terrorist. I'm gonna
- 11:39Speaker 1: play for you some of this it's been put out
- 11:42Speaker 1: by Sendor Paul, and remind you of some of those
- 11:44Speaker 1: exchanges with doctor Fauci. Take a listen, Senator Paul. You
- 11:48Speaker 1: do not know what you are talking about, quite frankly,
- 11:51Speaker 1: and I want to say that officially, you do not
- 11:54Speaker 1: know what you are talking about. Senor Paul. Revisit that
- 12:00Speaker 1: fire exchange with doctor Fauci. Here's what he said and
- 12:02Speaker 1: the NIH definition of gain and function. And if he
- 12:05Speaker 1: wanted to be a dispassionate scientist, if he wanted to
- 12:08Speaker 1: be more level headed, he could have tried to respond
- 12:11Speaker 1: to the NIH definition and told us specifically how it
- 12:14Speaker 1: doesn't apply. Instead, his emotions got the better of him,
- 12:18Speaker 1: and you are implying that what we did was responsible
- 12:23Speaker 1: for the deaths of the individual. I totally resent that,
- 12:26Speaker 1: and if anybody is lying here, Senator, it is you.
- 12:31Speaker 1: It's important for the public to know that doctor Fauci
- 12:34Speaker 1: is not a disinterested player. He's not objective. He has
- 12:38Speaker 1: a self interest in making sure that no one believes
- 12:41Speaker 1: this came from the lab, because he would have blame
- 12:43Speaker 1: attached to him for funding that lab. Well, we gave
- 12:46Speaker 1: him every chance to retract his statement or modify his statement.
- 12:49Speaker 1: His statement was that the NIH has never funded gain
- 12:53Speaker 1: and function research in Wuhan. Doctor Fouci, knowing that it
- 12:56Speaker 1: is a crime to lie to Congress, do you wish
- 12:58Speaker 1: to retract your statement of May eleventh, where you claimed
- 13:01Speaker 1: that the NIH never funded gain a function research in Wuhan.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Senator Paul, I have never lied before the Congress, and
- 13:09Speaker 1: I do not retract that statement. The NIH has not
- 13:14Speaker 1: eva and does not now fund gain a function research
- 13:20Speaker 1: in the Wuhan Institute. So we showed him the evidence.
- 13:23Speaker 1: The evidence is the research from twenty seventeen in the
- 13:27Speaker 1: paper that we presented and by doctor she that is
- 13:29Speaker 1: from a peer Review Journal. She actually acknowledges the funding
- 13:33Speaker 1: and lists the actual routing number for the grants. She
- 13:36Speaker 1: got so on the first question of whether or not
- 13:39Speaker 1: the NIH funded Wuhan, without question, they did, and there's
- 13:42Speaker 1: a question of whether or not that continues to this day,
- 13:45Speaker 1: whether it's going through a subsidiary, this Eco Health Alliance,
- 13:49Speaker 1: whether or not they're still sending money to Wuhan. Jake
- 13:53Speaker 1: Tapper halfway challenged him last week when he asked doctor
- 13:57Speaker 1: Falci about would you continue to do this? And doctor
- 14:00Speaker 1: Routie's answer is, oh, We've always had safeguards and we
- 14:03Speaker 1: will always have safeguards given that the Chinese government won't
- 14:06Speaker 1: allow any real investigation. Do you still think the US
- 14:10Speaker 1: government should collaborate with labs like Wuhan, especially on research
- 14:13Speaker 1: that experts consider risky. Well, we have always been very careful,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and looking forward, we will continue to be very careful
- 14:21Speaker 1: in what we do. He didn't answer the question do
- 14:23Speaker 1: you still trust the Chinese? Senator Kennedy asked him the
- 14:27Speaker 1: same question to hearing in the last couple of weeks,
- 14:29Speaker 1: So you don't think the Chinese would laugh to you?
- 14:31Speaker 1: And he dances around the subject. He's still for funding
- 14:34Speaker 1: the lab in Wuhan. And the thing is, to me,
- 14:37Speaker 1: that shows colossal lack of judgment. I mean, four million
- 14:40Speaker 1: people have died. So we quoted a very specific paper
- 14:44Speaker 1: to him from twenty seventeen from doctor She So she
- 14:47Speaker 1: took an unknown virus with unknown lethality, and she combined
- 14:51Speaker 1: it with a known virus with a fifteen percent more fatality,
- 14:55Speaker 1: and then she discovered that yes, indeed, this new virus
- 14:58Speaker 1: that she created in the lab could infect human cells
- 15:01Speaker 1: and damage primate cells. I go over this and I
- 15:06Speaker 1: play it because I think it's important to understand what
- 15:09Speaker 1: doctor Fauci has actually said and what he's said under oath,
- 15:13Speaker 1: and how he lied to the American people under oath
- 15:16Speaker 1: and now the NIH, and again I can't even post
- 15:19Speaker 1: this on social media. The NIH is now saying Fauci lied.
- 15:25Speaker 1: They are contradicting Fauci. They are admitting funding to gain
- 15:28Speaker 1: a function research to the Wuhan lab, which is exactly
- 15:31Speaker 1: what Senator Rand Paul has been saying for about nine
- 15:36Speaker 1: months now, and he's laying out the case right now.
- 15:40Speaker 1: So why is it that once the NIH says that
- 15:44Speaker 1: this happened and Fauci testified, the Senators out of hearing
- 15:48Speaker 1: in May that the NAH quote has not ever and
- 15:51Speaker 1: does not now fund gang a function research in the
- 15:54Speaker 1: Wuhan instead of virology. And now we know that is
- 15:57Speaker 1: a lie. And now we know that on the letterhead
- 16:01Speaker 1: of the Department of Health and Human Services dated October twentieth,
- 16:05Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, in a letter to Congress, they are
- 16:08Speaker 1: correcting the untruthful assertions by the NAH director Collins and
- 16:13Speaker 1: doctor Fauci that the NAH had not fun to gain
- 16:16Speaker 1: a function research in Wuhan. How is Congress not losing
- 16:20Speaker 1: their minds? And how is the media not covering this
- 16:24Speaker 1: to exactly why? Because they don't want you to know
- 16:25Speaker 1: the truth. They don't want you to know the truth
- 16:28Speaker 1: on any of this. Now, this goes back to what
- 16:31Speaker 1: I'm saying about how why I'm so glad that we
- 16:34Speaker 1: are saying that there's going to be a new social
- 16:35Speaker 1: media platform done by Donald Trump, because this is the
- 16:38Speaker 1: only way we start getting this news out there. And
- 16:40Speaker 1: when you hear things like this, I say it each
- 16:42Speaker 1: and every day, please share it with your family and
- 16:45Speaker 1: your friends, give this information, share our podcast, and share
- 16:50Speaker 1: this because this is the stuff that literally you can't
- 16:52Speaker 1: put on big tech. This is the stuff you cannot
- 16:56Speaker 1: put out with big tech. They won't you do it.
- 17:02Speaker 1: And the media is now obsessed with Steve Bannon. Yeah,
- 17:06Speaker 1: Steve Bannon should go to jail. We're gonna vote in
- 17:08Speaker 1: Congress on Steve Bannon going to jail because he's refusing
- 17:11Speaker 1: a subpoena when he's saying, hey, executive privileged folks, same
- 17:15Speaker 1: thing the presidents saying, by the way, and they're like, oh,
- 17:18Speaker 1: we're gonna we're gonna show him. We're gonna stick him
- 17:20Speaker 1: in jail. We're gonna charge him and stick him gonna
- 17:24Speaker 1: we're gonna go get him, and we're gonna arrest him.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Doctor Fauci actually lied to Congress. We're gonna arrest him. No,
- 17:32Speaker 1: we're gonna talk about him. Of course not. Why would
- 17:34Speaker 1: we do that because we have two sets of rules
- 17:38Speaker 1: in this country. We have one set of rules for
- 17:40Speaker 1: Republicans that we want to silence and shut up, and
- 17:43Speaker 1: we have another set of rules for Democrats. And you
- 17:47Speaker 1: can put anything out there you want in Congress. You
- 17:49Speaker 1: can lie under oath and there will be no accountability.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Faucci is proof of that there's something really important actually
- 17:59Speaker 1: happening in right now. That's totally related to doctor Fauci's
- 18:04Speaker 1: totally related to him lying to Congress, is totally related
- 18:07Speaker 1: to how you're having to live your life right now
- 18:09Speaker 1: with mass mandates, vaccine mandates, losing your job. It's about
- 18:13Speaker 1: the origins of COVID nineteen and there is something going
- 18:18Speaker 1: on right now that's a really big deal. We have
- 18:21Speaker 1: a Chinese ambassador nominee who is going through confirmation right now.
- 18:29Speaker 1: No one is covering this in the media. You will
- 18:31Speaker 1: see nothing in the media about present Biden's nominee to
- 18:35Speaker 1: be the ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns. Nicholas Burns is
- 18:42Speaker 1: getting beat up a little bit, but the media is
- 18:44Speaker 1: not going to show it to you either. Senator Johnson
- 18:47Speaker 1: actually had a very interesting back and forth with the
- 18:51Speaker 1: Chinese ambassador nominee, Nicholas Burns, for denying that the COVID
- 18:55Speaker 1: nineteen lab week theory is something that we should really
- 18:59Speaker 1: be looking at right like we should be looking at Wuhan.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Should we even hold China accountable? Take a listen to
- 19:06Speaker 1: this shocking back and forth. And again, the media, if
- 19:09Speaker 1: you're looking at the main stream, they're not even telling
- 19:12Speaker 1: you right now that President Biden has a nominee to
- 19:15Speaker 1: be the ambassador at China. I would argue the most
- 19:18Speaker 1: important ambassador right now with what's going on in the world,
- 19:21Speaker 1: they're just not covering it at all. Thank you, Sander Jones,
- 19:26Speaker 1: Thank you, MISSUS Chairman, Ambassador Burns, thank you for your
- 19:29Speaker 1: prior service and your willingness to serve in this capacity.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I agree with you that if we act intelligently, the US,
- 19:38Speaker 1: in concert with our allies in the West, we can
- 19:41Speaker 1: compete with China. China, though, has advantages in terms of
- 19:48Speaker 1: very long term, very strategic thinking, authoritarian. They don't have
- 19:53Speaker 1: the back and forth of elections that type of thing,
- 19:57Speaker 1: so they have utilized that long term strategic thinking, while
- 20:01Speaker 1: the West literally has not done much to counter their
- 20:06Speaker 1: infiltration into our institutions. They're stealing of our intellectual property
- 20:11Speaker 1: since they're answering to the WTO, and just like you
- 20:15Speaker 1: to comment on how do we know, how do we
- 20:18Speaker 1: counter what they've done, and how we do that effectively?
- 20:23Speaker 1: Senator thank you. I think it's I think it's a
- 20:25Speaker 1: central question. We have to have a strategy to match
- 20:29Speaker 1: China's strategy. I think that is beginning to develop over
- 20:33Speaker 1: the last several years in the administrate the last three
- 20:35Speaker 1: administrations President Obama, President Trump, and President Biden. And as
- 20:40Speaker 1: I said in my testimony, what distinguishes us and strengthens
- 20:44Speaker 1: us is the fact that we have our alliance with
- 20:46Speaker 1: Japan and our alliance with Australia and South Korea. And
- 20:51Speaker 1: I've been involved in my pastive amount of career and
- 20:54Speaker 1: intensive discussions with the Europeans. I think they're less united,
- 21:00Speaker 1: perhaps in the European Union right now, but I sense
- 21:02Speaker 1: that the Europeans are shifting to understand the threat the
- 21:07Speaker 1: threat to them as well as to us in our
- 21:10Speaker 1: Indo Pacific allies. So I think operating on an allied
- 21:13Speaker 1: basis is the most important thing we can do, and
- 21:16Speaker 1: sometimes that means we form institutions. So the QUAD is
- 21:20Speaker 1: an institution that both parties can be proud of. Republican
- 21:25Speaker 1: and Democratic presidents have supported the QUAD, and now President
- 21:28Speaker 1: Biden is operationalizing at the head of government level, which
- 21:31Speaker 1: we hadn't done before. Alkis free countries coming together. We
- 21:35Speaker 1: need to build the institutions that are permanent and that
- 21:39Speaker 1: take this policy that we're discussing this morning into the
- 21:41Speaker 1: twenty thirties. Because the competition with China will be multidecade.
- 21:46Speaker 1: I do want to address specifically their infiltration into our
- 21:50Speaker 1: university systems, the Confucius institutes, their investment in things like
- 21:56Speaker 1: medical journals. It really concerns me. You know, there is
- 22:01Speaker 1: so much we don't know, for example, bout the coronavirus,
- 22:03Speaker 1: so much we don't know about COVID. I really do,
- 22:07Speaker 1: and I really want to get your take on a
- 22:10Speaker 1: real potential fault line when we start learning more, for example,
- 22:16Speaker 1: about the origin theory. I mean, I don't know whether
- 22:18Speaker 1: it was lab leak or there's natural origin. People listen
- 22:24Speaker 1: very carefully. Senator Johnson is being very strategic with the
- 22:31Speaker 1: most important Biden nominee so far for the Ambassador to China,
- 22:35Speaker 1: Nicholas Burns, and Senator Johnson is not trying to put
- 22:39Speaker 1: him in a corner. He's being very strategic. He says,
- 22:43Speaker 1: I don't know if it's lab leak or natural origins.
- 22:46Speaker 1: But what I do know as it came from China.
- 22:47Speaker 1: What I do know as they've been lying to us.
- 22:49Speaker 1: And I want you to listen to how quickly this ambassador,
- 22:52Speaker 1: this nominee to Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns defends China.
- 22:57Speaker 1: People are trying to look into that. Obviously there's a
- 22:59Speaker 1: cover up here for eighteen months and as a result,
- 23:04Speaker 1: gave China really good head started at bearing evidence. But
- 23:07Speaker 1: back in March twenty twenty, participated in a virtual event
- 23:11Speaker 1: that Harvard's Kendy Center, and you definitely your criticism critical
- 23:15Speaker 1: of China, saying that this was an army exercise. But
- 23:20Speaker 1: at the same time, you're very critical of Pressant Trump
- 23:22Speaker 1: for calling it the Chinese virus, of the Wuhan virus.
- 23:25Speaker 1: He said that we all know that's wrong, we all
- 23:28Speaker 1: know that's racist, we all know that's not true. I
- 23:32Speaker 1: guess I'm kind of wondering how did you know? We
- 23:36Speaker 1: still don't know. How are you so positive? But this
- 23:42Speaker 1: wasn't a lab league theory? And have you changed your mind?
- 23:46Speaker 1: Have you seen other evidence that would at least open
- 23:52Speaker 1: up your mind to that prospect, Because if it is
- 23:55Speaker 1: determined that it probably was not a natural origin and
- 24:00Speaker 1: did leap from a lab in Wuhan, that will have
- 24:03Speaker 1: very serious geopolitical repercussions between our relationship with China. Thank you, Senator.
- 24:10Speaker 1: I want to agree with you briefly on the issue
- 24:12Speaker 1: of students and exchanges. We ought to welcome Chinese students
- 24:17Speaker 1: into the United States, but student visas are not a right.
- 24:21Speaker 1: They have to be earned, Our laws have to be observed.
- 24:24Speaker 1: There are some Chinese student applicants who have ties to
- 24:27Speaker 1: the PLA, the People's Liberation Army, and China's intelligence services,
- 24:31Speaker 1: and we should turn them down for visas, and we
- 24:34Speaker 1: have to be clear about that. But we also have
- 24:36Speaker 1: three hundred and seventy five thousand students in our universities
- 24:40Speaker 1: and secondary schools in your state and my state at
- 24:42Speaker 1: my university, and we are better off having them in
- 24:45Speaker 1: this country to learn about our democracy. On the coronavirus.
- 24:49Speaker 1: The problem here is with China. The Chinese government will
- 24:53Speaker 1: withheld information very clearly from their own people and the
- 24:57Speaker 1: rest of the world for about a month in eight
- 25:00Speaker 1: December and January of twenty twenty. I have consistently criticized
- 25:04Speaker 1: the Chinese government for that, and they deserve to be criticized.
- 25:07Speaker 1: And they've been stonewalling all of us around the world
- 25:11Speaker 1: since January of twenty twenty, including this week when they
- 25:15Speaker 1: refused to act to work with the World Health Organization's
- 25:19Speaker 1: new investigative body to answer the question that you rightfully asked.
- 25:23Speaker 1: But again my questions, are you still so certain that
- 25:27Speaker 1: lab leak is off the table? Because you were very
- 25:29Speaker 1: certain back then you said it was you know, we
- 25:31Speaker 1: all know that's not true. Have you changed you thinking
- 25:34Speaker 1: on that, because I think it's important if you're gonna
- 25:36Speaker 1: be ambassador to China that you haven't a more open
- 25:38Speaker 1: mind on this than you exhibited back in March of
- 25:40Speaker 1: twenty twenty. So, Senator I spoke often about this issue
- 25:45Speaker 1: of US China relations at that period of time, and
- 25:49Speaker 1: I believe that that quote from the Kennedy School event
- 25:53Speaker 1: was directed to President Trump's use at the term Wuhan virus,
- 25:57Speaker 1: which I did not think would be effective with the
- 26:00Speaker 1: Chinese government or Chinese people, or people around the world.
- 26:04Speaker 1: It had nothing to do with the origins of the
- 26:07Speaker 1: crisis of the pandemic. My position has been all along
- 26:10Speaker 1: and continues this day. We need to investigate. We don't
- 26:14Speaker 1: know where the how this virus originated, for sure, there
- 26:17Speaker 1: are multiple theories. That's by the way. Now what he
- 26:20Speaker 1: just said a moment ago, this is going to be
- 26:22Speaker 1: our ambassador. This is going to be our ambassador to China.
- 26:28Speaker 1: And this dude is defending China more than he is
- 26:31Speaker 1: defending the United States of America. You'd think this would
- 26:35Speaker 1: make national news, right, Ambassador for Ambassador to China defends
- 26:41Speaker 1: China's actions on coronavirus. There's a good headline for you
- 26:45Speaker 1: that will never be published. Why because they don't want
- 26:53Speaker 1: to talk about it. This guy is nothing but a
- 26:56Speaker 1: puppet for China. Nothing but a puppet for China. You'd
- 27:04Speaker 1: think that'd be a news story. Nope, I'm not going
- 27:07Speaker 1: to talk about it. May Or Pete, by the way,
- 27:12Speaker 1: coming out just wanting you to know about the no
- 27:14Speaker 1: end in sight for the cast art failed leadership of
- 27:16Speaker 1: the Biden administration at this crisis, this disaster with the
- 27:20Speaker 1: Biden supply chain issues. May Or Pete has come out saying, quote,
- 27:23Speaker 1: there will be supply chain issues as long as there's
- 27:25Speaker 1: a pandemic. That's just the way it's going to be.
- 27:28Speaker 1: Well that's not actually true, but whatever. He's like, Hey,
- 27:31Speaker 1: as long as there as long as there is a
- 27:34Speaker 1: pandemic that includes COVID problems and other countries get used
- 27:39Speaker 1: to it not having the things you need. He went
- 27:43Speaker 1: on CNBC's squat Box. The transtation secretary said, quote, Hey,
- 27:49Speaker 1: look this is just going to persist as long as
- 27:51Speaker 1: this pandemic continues. Things happen around the world. I mean,
- 27:54Speaker 1: if a shoe factory closes in Vietnam in September for
- 27:57Speaker 1: a COVID outbreak, you're going to see the effects of
- 27:59Speaker 1: that at the mall in December or January. He went
- 28:03Speaker 1: on to say, well, look, we're seeing goods move through
- 28:05Speaker 1: our system and reach shelves at record levels. That's not true.
- 28:08Speaker 1: The issue again is the demand is so high. Retail
- 28:11Speaker 1: sales are going really off the charts high. That's our
- 28:13Speaker 1: system and it's just straining to keep up. Now. Last
- 28:18Speaker 1: week at the White House I was with he said,
- 28:20Speaker 1: the leadership of places like Walmart, Target Home Depot talking
- 28:23Speaker 1: about their commitments to making sure that inventory gets to
- 28:26Speaker 1: the shelves. We're also talking about the key ground logistic
- 28:28Speaker 1: companies trying to work on that right thousand. By the way,
- 28:31Speaker 1: Trucker's short right now, and this dude wants you to
- 28:34Speaker 1: just accept this as Hey, lower the bar, folks, There's
- 28:37Speaker 1: gonna be a lot of crap you're not gonna get
- 28:38Speaker 1: your hands on. Lower the bar, Lower the bar. Okay,
- 28:43Speaker 1: Washington Post helping out right now Opinion article came out
- 28:47Speaker 1: by them that it actually reads, quote, don't rent about
- 28:51Speaker 1: short staff stores and supply chain wos, try to lower expectations.
- 28:56Speaker 1: That's an actual headline from the Washington Post. Don't ran
- 29:01Speaker 1: about short staff stores and supply chain woes. Try to
- 29:04Speaker 1: lower your expectations. So, in other words, this Biden administration
- 29:07Speaker 1: is now actually telling the American people get over it
- 29:10Speaker 1: and lower your expectations. Because if you'll just do that,
- 29:15Speaker 1: if you'll just lower your expectations, then you won't be
- 29:19Speaker 1: so upset. You won't be upset. Then, folks, lower your expectations.
- 29:28Speaker 1: Lower you expectations with our ambassador, Lower your expectations for Christmas,
- 29:33Speaker 1: lower your expectations for accountability, about you funding, getting a function,
- 29:37Speaker 1: research and fout you lying to you. Just lower you expectations.
- 29:42Speaker 1: If you do, then you'll like this administration. Oh and
- 29:46Speaker 1: by the way, we're going to move to vaccinate all
- 29:47Speaker 1: your kids five to eleven years old, and we're going
- 29:50Speaker 1: to harass them in their schools until you do what
- 29:52Speaker 1: we tell you to do. It's fine, Biden Harris twenty
- 29:56Speaker 1: twenty four. Lower your expectations. That's basically what they're telling
- 29:59Speaker 1: you to do right now. That should be their campaign slogan.
