- 2:05Speaker 1: the voice. Come on digging naw one, it only Steve
- 2:09Speaker 1: Harvey got a radio show. Okay, here we go today, folks.
- 2:13Speaker 1: H this is a good one because today I want
- 2:18Speaker 1: to share with you something that that affects every living soul,
- 2:24Speaker 1: and that one thing is your attitude. This affects everyone.
- 2:31Speaker 1: It is your attitude. You know. I don't know if
- 2:37Speaker 1: anyone's ever told you, but I mean many of you
- 2:39Speaker 1: who listen know this. But there are a lot of
- 2:42Speaker 1: people who don't understand A positive attitude can bring about
- 2:49Speaker 1: a change. A positive attitude can bring about a change. Well,
- 2:55Speaker 1: now here we go with the Nay says well, Steve,
- 2:57Speaker 1: what you mean if I'm just positive being changed? My
- 2:59Speaker 1: mama on what me being positive got to do with that? Okay,
- 3:03Speaker 1: now listen to me carefully. A positive attitude can bring
- 3:07Speaker 1: about change. Well, okay, Steve, I hear you saying that.
- 3:11Speaker 1: But they didn't fined me. So now what does my
- 3:14Speaker 1: having a positive attitude have to do with the fact
- 3:17Speaker 1: that they fired me? Well, one more time, A positive
- 3:23Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change? Or Steve, I set up
- 3:29Speaker 1: in here and gave eight nine, twelve years of my
- 3:32Speaker 1: life to this man and he just he cheated on
- 3:35Speaker 1: me and walked out. Now what does me being positive
- 3:38Speaker 1: have to do with him cheating on me? How that's
- 3:41Speaker 1: gonna change that? Okay, here we go again. A positive
- 3:46Speaker 1: attitude can bring about change. And listen to the whole thing. Now,
- 3:51Speaker 1: the positive attitude and the change that can happen starts.
- 3:59Speaker 1: This is the start. It starts within you. See, life
- 4:06Speaker 1: is tempera cent. What happens is what you do about
- 4:09Speaker 1: what happens. Okay, you gave twelve years of your life
- 4:12Speaker 1: to this man. He cheated and left you. Hold in
- 4:15Speaker 1: the bag, the kids and everything. Now, what does being
- 4:18Speaker 1: positive have to do with changing that or they came
- 4:21Speaker 1: in and they fired you. You lost your job that
- 4:24Speaker 1: you was a stellar performer at. But now, how does
- 4:27Speaker 1: you having a positive attitude, How does that change things
- 4:31Speaker 1: for you? So far, you can use any example. Here's
- 4:35Speaker 1: what happens when you have a positive attitude. What it
- 4:40Speaker 1: produces within you is a positive approach to life. And
- 4:45Speaker 1: when you have a positive attitude and a positive approach
- 4:48Speaker 1: to life, it causes you to be optimistic, to have
- 4:54Speaker 1: a positive out look, to expect things to eventually turn around,
- 5:00Speaker 1: and and and and and turn into a positive That's
- 5:03Speaker 1: very important because as the law of attraction comes into play,
- 5:08Speaker 1: if you think positive thoughts, you attract positive things. If
- 5:14Speaker 1: you think evil thoughts, you attract evil to you. You know,
- 5:20Speaker 1: if if you want for nothing, then nothing comes your way.
- 5:23Speaker 1: If you want for positive attitude, if you want for
- 5:26Speaker 1: positive results, if you want for a great outcome, that's
- 5:29Speaker 1: what you attract to you. The change will begin within you.
- 5:33Speaker 1: So let's take the man that walked out your life
- 5:36Speaker 1: and left you hold in the bag. Here's a positive attitude. Okay,
- 5:42Speaker 1: two things have happened as positive here. Number one, you've
- 5:45Speaker 1: ridd it yourself of someone who was obviously going to be,
- 5:49Speaker 1: if not already been, toxic in your life because you
- 5:53Speaker 1: many restless nights, a lot of uncomfortable feelings, uneasiness, not
- 5:58Speaker 1: sure it's security. You've been going through it with this person,
- 6:02Speaker 1: whoever they are. Number One, that person has been released
- 6:06Speaker 1: from your life. Number Two, it allows you now to
- 6:10Speaker 1: have the someone who will treat you just the way
- 6:13Speaker 1: you want to be treated. That's the positive outlook, that's
- 6:17Speaker 1: the optimistic way. That's when you're a positive person. You
- 6:20Speaker 1: see the positive in things that happened to you instead
- 6:23Speaker 1: of burying yourself under the horse, wrong with it, old
- 6:27Speaker 1: woe is me? Now, concept see a positive attitude. When
- 6:31Speaker 1: they came in there and they fired you and let
- 6:33Speaker 1: you go. Could this not have been just the opening
- 6:38Speaker 1: you needed to finally start on a new career path
- 6:42Speaker 1: that you've been talking about doing anyway? Could it possibly
- 6:45Speaker 1: be a brand new chance for you to get the
- 6:48Speaker 1: dream job or dream career of your choice. Could it
- 6:52Speaker 1: not possibly be the perfect opportunity now for you to
- 6:57Speaker 1: finally finally do something about that gift, about that talent
- 7:02Speaker 1: that God gave you, that thing that you love to do.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Could it not be the perfect time for you to
- 7:07Speaker 1: pursue that. But if you don't have a positive attitude,
- 7:11Speaker 1: then you lay there. Oh they're finn Come get in
- 7:14Speaker 1: my house. Oh what I'm gonna do now? All this
- 7:17Speaker 1: unemployment ain't enough. Oh Lord, when it's unemployment run out?
- 7:21Speaker 1: What am I gonna do? Then I won't have nothing,
- 7:24Speaker 1: and you old woe is me until you become old
- 7:28Speaker 1: woe is me. But if you take it from the
- 7:30Speaker 1: positive approach, some amazing things can happen in your life.
- 7:35Speaker 1: I would tell you on a personal note, that's some
- 7:38Speaker 1: of the most some of the best changes, some of
- 7:41Speaker 1: the biggest moments in my life came after a loss.
- 7:46Speaker 1: Some of the best things that's ever happened to me.
- 7:48Speaker 1: Some of the biggest moments that I've accomplished in my
- 7:50Speaker 1: entire career came after a loss. So I don't want
- 7:55Speaker 1: to go down on the list, but boy, I could
- 7:57Speaker 1: tell you. Let me let me tell you something. When
- 7:58Speaker 1: they didn't want me on the radio anymore in l A.
- 8:02Speaker 1: What they didn't when they were it was sick of
- 8:04Speaker 1: the way I did radio out there and they wanted
- 8:06Speaker 1: me gone. And on May thousand and five, when my
- 8:13Speaker 1: did when when? When? When my deal was done with
- 8:18Speaker 1: the beat out in l A. Okay, look what happened though,
- 8:23Speaker 1: y'all was gone in May. But in September nineteenth I
- 8:26Speaker 1: started to Steve Harvey Radio Network with four Cities. You see,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but I didn't go old. Woe was me? I said, Okay,
- 8:37Speaker 1: God must have something else from me then, because if
- 8:40Speaker 1: he didn't remove me from this, that must be something else.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Same thing can happened when you lose and you and
- 8:46Speaker 1: you and you break up in a relationship. Same thing
- 8:48Speaker 1: can happen to you. You never know the one God
- 8:50Speaker 1: God for you. Now Here you go, here you go again.
- 8:54Speaker 1: Now you get put into a situation with somebody treat
- 8:56Speaker 1: you just the way you want to be treated, provide
- 8:59Speaker 1: you the whole lot of respects of your life. You
- 9:01Speaker 1: knew nothing about pride to that. But you gotta stay positive.
- 9:04Speaker 1: You gotta keep looking out, You gotta keep looking to God.
- 9:07Speaker 1: You gotta keep believing that there's got to be something
- 9:10Speaker 1: better for you. That God has a plan and it
- 9:13Speaker 1: don't coincide with your plan oftentimes, but His way is
- 9:17Speaker 1: the best way. Oh. I have not liked it many times, man,
- 9:21Speaker 1: Oh man, I've had people scathed me. I'm talking about
- 9:25Speaker 1: man people, I ain't done nothing too. I don't even
- 9:27Speaker 1: know where it's coming from. Just go public and just
- 9:30Speaker 1: try to bury me. When they got through, man, I
- 9:34Speaker 1: can't tell you what happened to me because I ain't
- 9:36Speaker 1: raised my voice back. I didn't. I didn't get into
- 9:39Speaker 1: that negative lane with them. I took the high road.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And when you take the high road, God got something
- 9:44Speaker 1: for you. So all of you out there are struggling,
- 9:46Speaker 1: that's being hated on, that you feel like your life
- 9:49Speaker 1: and took some turns that you have no control over.
- 9:51Speaker 1: If you stay positive, that positive attitude, that optimistic outlook,
- 9:57Speaker 1: that that that always thinking got me no matter what
- 10:01Speaker 1: happened to me, some amazing things that's going can will
- 10:04Speaker 1: happen in your life. It's a fact. I don't know
- 10:07Speaker 1: how it works that way. I just know that's what
- 10:10Speaker 1: it is. Positive attitude is everything, y'all. So get off
- 10:13Speaker 1: the old woe is mean negativity train because it ain't
- 10:16Speaker 1: gonna take you nowhere but down and get get your
- 10:18Speaker 1: outlook up. If you change your attitude, you change your altitude.
- 10:24Speaker 1: Altitude is determined by your attitude, how high you go,
- 10:28Speaker 1: how big you become, how far you go It all
- 10:31Speaker 1: depends on how you think. It all depends on what
- 10:34Speaker 1: type of attitude you got. Ain't no, ain't no very
- 10:38Speaker 1: very successful, super negative people. It just doesn't coincide the
- 10:43Speaker 1: way if you see that something that happened to him
- 10:45Speaker 1: along the way, and don't worry. You ain't gonna worry
- 10:47Speaker 1: about it because you ain't gonna see them long because
- 10:49Speaker 1: you can't stay up there like that. This is too hard,
- 10:52Speaker 1: all right. That's the conversation. You're listening to ladies and gentlemen,
- 11:01Speaker 1: boys and girls. I normally say people from around the world,
- 11:06Speaker 1: but we've said that it's covered all y'all. What's happening.
- 11:11Speaker 1: This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show. I'm as Steve.
- 11:18Speaker 1: That was for you, That is for Shirley. That's the gift. Well,
- 11:24Speaker 1: you know, Sirlet you know, when you work with a
- 11:26Speaker 1: bullshie person, uh like yourself, what I try to do is,
- 11:32Speaker 1: you know, interject commonality into your life because you don't
- 11:38Speaker 1: have enough of it, really yeah, in terms of language,
- 11:45Speaker 1: and so I try to be there for you, Shirley,
- 11:47Speaker 1: to provide you a look at us because you know
- 11:50Speaker 1: they didn't like you in high school because you was
- 11:54Speaker 1: bully I know they didn't. I didn't know Sherley in
- 12:00Speaker 1: high school, but I know you can bet she was
- 12:04Speaker 1: boe Shirley. It's been dead and Nemons has been debta Nemons.
- 12:12Speaker 1: What I don't get it? Is that a person? Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 12:16Speaker 1: she act real bullhes. She married Waran Anderson both, Yeah
- 12:24Speaker 1: that's cool. Yeah, I mean, I don't know what level
- 12:28Speaker 1: it was Stow front. Last time I checked, are you
- 12:31Speaker 1: calling out? I was just great? What are you doing?
- 12:37Speaker 1: They preachers? When they got married. Beamons married Warwan Anderson
- 12:42Speaker 1: and they booge it and they was bouge and the
- 12:44Speaker 1: store front. Yeah, he never forgets the name. He never
- 12:49Speaker 1: forgets the name. But he don't know half the people
- 12:51Speaker 1: staff that I know. What's the name of our new
- 12:54Speaker 1: engineer that worked here, Steve? What's his name? Dave Junior?
- 13:01Speaker 1: I didn't tell him nothing, Junior? How you tell me
- 13:04Speaker 1: that quick? What's his last got direct? And I don't
- 13:09Speaker 1: know about it. I don't know what land, but to first,
- 13:16Speaker 1: it's not nice guy brought in by our to watch
- 13:22Speaker 1: out and oversee us. See. Oh my goodness, oh my godness.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Well okay, okay, I didn't mean it like as in slave.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Now you took the right there oversee. No, Shirley, I
- 13:39Speaker 1: wonder nobody. Ain't nobody saying nothing about the man he'll
- 13:41Speaker 1: oversee because that ain't Ben the half up in here.
- 13:45Speaker 1: Get your ass pulled on off that horse, get your
- 13:47Speaker 1: ass okay, really now we have to y'all meeting there,
- 13:57Speaker 1: y'all meeting for I just send him in here to
- 13:59Speaker 1: oversee us, but just to see over us, not oversee
- 14:03Speaker 1: our engine field and slavery. Don't do that. And Shirley,
- 14:09Speaker 1: why would you do that? So embarrassed a man like that?
- 14:13Speaker 1: This is a chef bringing herbs to me. This ain't
- 14:15Speaker 1: really real medicine. The chef has bringing your herbs. You
- 14:20Speaker 1: have some life, You're I'm trying to stay healthy. Man,
- 14:24Speaker 1: mess around. Just start making this money. Man. I can't
- 14:26Speaker 1: leave him now. All right, listen, something funny is coming up,
- 14:31Speaker 1: and uh, I gotta tell you, personality is more important
- 14:35Speaker 1: than looks to most people. We'll be back at thirty
- 14:38Speaker 1: two after to talk about it. You're listening to the
- 14:41Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, here we go with
- 14:44Speaker 1: something funny, Steve um, personality is more important than looks
- 14:49Speaker 1: to most people. While a lot of us are overly
- 14:52Speaker 1: concerned about how we look, especially when it comes to
- 14:55Speaker 1: finding a mate. It turns out looks really art everything.
- 14:59Speaker 1: In fact, a New Planet Fitness Valentine's Day pole finds
- 15:02Speaker 1: that ninety two percent of people say they prefer a
- 15:07Speaker 1: partner with a good personality to one with a great body.
- 15:11Speaker 1: Overall of people say they're looking for a partner with
- 15:14Speaker 1: a good personality, while seventy six percent one with a
- 15:18Speaker 1: sense of humor. There you go, Steve with a positive
- 15:21Speaker 1: attitude and seventy open mindedness also important characteristics for mate.
- 15:28Speaker 1: So I gotta ask you, Steve, I gotta ask Junior
- 15:31Speaker 1: and Tommy. You guys chime into what's the most important
- 15:34Speaker 1: thing you're looking for in your significant other? And really
- 15:37Speaker 1: how important our looks. Personality is critical, It's absolutely critical.
- 15:44Speaker 1: But I'm gonna need you to be cute too, though,
- 15:46Speaker 1: thank you, because of what I'm not gonna be doing
- 15:48Speaker 1: is sitting up in here with your glass just cause
- 15:51Speaker 1: you nice, because you I got you nice, But you
- 15:57Speaker 1: know you you're you're you're horrid. That used to be
- 15:59Speaker 1: the standard if someone wasn't cute, that you'd ask him
- 16:02Speaker 1: are they cute? You? Say, well, they have a nice personality.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I mean it was ugly. That's all that meant right away. Now,
- 16:12Speaker 1: I would prefer personality over you said a great body. Yeah, yeah,
- 16:18Speaker 1: because my body got flaws. I can accept the flaw
- 16:21Speaker 1: on your body. There ain't no problem. A couple of flaws,
- 16:24Speaker 1: you know. So I ain't worried about that. And it
- 16:27Speaker 1: was nice in the face though, Yeah, roll rolling over
- 16:32Speaker 1: every morning, look looking at that. No, no, no, I'm
- 16:38Speaker 1: gonna need something now until def do us party kill
- 16:42Speaker 1: me now? Yeah, but I'm not gonna do is die
- 16:48Speaker 1: every morning you wake up. I mean, I mean for
- 16:53Speaker 1: you out of make up to resemble the person in makeup.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I that okay. So we know men are visual. We
- 17:02Speaker 1: got that. Men are very visual. Women are too, surely okay,
- 17:05Speaker 1: And that's what that's what I was coming to. And
- 17:09Speaker 1: you guys, all of you guys, well, with the exception
- 17:11Speaker 1: of Tommy, you guys say you're not cute. So where
- 17:15Speaker 1: are we now? No, I'm not We still with them
- 17:18Speaker 1: not cute and I'm just cute? What what? What what Tommy?
- 17:23Speaker 1: You're not You're not gonna make me ugly. It ain't
- 17:27Speaker 1: make you. I'm not going that way, Tommy, we're okay, okay, okay, Tommy,
- 17:34Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. List your flaws and
- 17:37Speaker 1: my flowers. You might take a minute talking. Most my
- 17:47Speaker 1: shoulders ain't like nice. You know my hand strings, of course,
- 17:52Speaker 1: it's gone to hell to your shoulders ain't ain't good.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Ain't like my shoulders. Now you got brought you wide,
- 17:59Speaker 1: now wild, I ain't got that. I ain't got that.
- 18:03Speaker 1: I shoulders, shoulders and my phone star with their sage
- 18:08Speaker 1: come on, so far it's your shoulders, the sage shoulders
- 18:18Speaker 1: and she come on. Sure listen. First of all, I'm
- 18:23Speaker 1: not short, but short can be sexy, so let's not
- 18:25Speaker 1: let's not kill that. Okay, you don't have to be
- 18:28Speaker 1: tall to be sexy. Now I'm not tall, but I'm
- 18:31Speaker 1: not short. No, women don't have to be tall to
- 18:34Speaker 1: be sexy. No, I'm not telling by women. I'm telling
- 18:38Speaker 1: about people period. There's women, Yeah, they're short, there's short sexy.
- 18:47Speaker 1: They're short sexy women. And there's good looking short of me.
- 18:51Speaker 1: And what are you talking about? What we we're just
- 18:56Speaker 1: at the shoulders. Go ahead, go ahead and finish your
- 18:59Speaker 1: shoulders whatever. Wrong, it's another lower back, ain't where it
- 19:05Speaker 1: all to be got how only you know? It's just
- 19:07Speaker 1: it's just something you can't see your lower back cause
- 19:09Speaker 1: of your other flow. Show doesn't need help, Steve, because
- 19:16Speaker 1: okay here you high behind. I don't have a high behind.
- 19:20Speaker 1: I don't claim you can't see your lower back. If Timmy,
- 19:24Speaker 1: when you put your belt on, if your belt buckle
- 19:28Speaker 1: is lower then the top of your ass. What do
- 19:32Speaker 1: you think that's from them? Just bad belts build bad built.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's what you bad belts belt Tommy, Tommy, Tommy, let
- 19:44Speaker 1: me help you with you with your shortcoming. Your flaws
- 19:47Speaker 1: is your shoulders. You got a high ass, your short
- 19:50Speaker 1: in your profile, that's all of me. What is your time?
- 19:59Speaker 1: What do you mean, prof Yeah, I mean looking when
- 20:01Speaker 1: he turns to the side. Yeah wow, I've never noticed. Okay,
- 20:06Speaker 1: ladies look at me from the side. Okay, yeah, now
- 20:11Speaker 1: do you see anything he's talking about? What are you saying?
- 20:16Speaker 1: You don't see a jaw line? Chin run straight down
- 20:21Speaker 1: into his chest? My son said that I don't. Okay,
- 20:24Speaker 1: I don't have a chance. So that's that makes me
- 20:26Speaker 1: hugly though, Yeah, I don't know yet here we should
- 20:33Speaker 1: have chins in life. Seriously, Yeah, I family not famous
- 20:38Speaker 1: for that. My profile tow up? How much do cheene
- 20:42Speaker 1: cold implants all day? If I get a cheering then
- 20:49Speaker 1: I look good. M hmm. You're supposed to be encouraging him.
- 20:57Speaker 1: He ain't encouraging nothing. No, I didn't say I was
- 21:00Speaker 1: gonna encourage you. I said, list your shortcomings. You seem
- 21:03Speaker 1: to be struggling, shoulders, short, high ask and your profile
- 21:09Speaker 1: and your hamstrings is gonna and you're jumping abilities. What
- 21:13Speaker 1: are yours? I got big lips, I got a full nose,
- 21:19Speaker 1: My profile is shot, my stomach cannot seem to get reduced. Okay,
- 21:25Speaker 1: we gotta get out this. This can take forever coming
- 21:28Speaker 1: up because I know that run that prankback. It's coming
- 21:35Speaker 1: up with the nephew. We're gonna get him a chance.
- 21:38Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve, all right? Okay? Can I can
- 21:43Speaker 1: I say something? Because we've been talking about flaws. Let's
- 21:46Speaker 1: get off of flaws. What are your assets as a man, Tommy,
- 21:52Speaker 1: let's just go that here. Okay, let's get off your flaws.
- 21:59Speaker 1: We don't went over that. What are you just said? Asset?
- 22:03Speaker 1: You set my asset your high I got that. But
- 22:08Speaker 1: assets in terms of what are your what are your
- 22:11Speaker 1: positive features? Oh? What are your positive features? Yeah? They
- 22:15Speaker 1: are tomming? Oh, he asked, ball head all less sexy? Oh,
- 22:24Speaker 1: ball head is sexy? H t people who are like
- 22:28Speaker 1: baldhead as I actually before you, before I eat, when
- 22:35Speaker 1: I eat. You don't know. You ain't know. Have anybody
- 22:38Speaker 1: seen that? I ain't seen not a nail one. I
- 22:41Speaker 1: ain't been showing them to y'all. What am I? You
- 22:44Speaker 1: just run that race? You had that tight shirt on.
- 22:46Speaker 1: We ain't seen nothing in that tom Tommy, you don't

- 31:05Speaker 1: underdog backup quarterback Nick Foles, who took the reins from
- 31:09Speaker 1: starting quarterback Carson Wentz injury earlier in the year and
- 31:13Speaker 1: never looked back. Fly Eagles, Fly, Yeah he goes. We

- 31:50Speaker 1: more than Yeah, it's just a discussion. He don't want
- 31:55Speaker 1: me to get into the just spaculate. Some teammates say
- 31:58Speaker 1: it could be the issue with this. It's sad to
- 32:00Speaker 1: have that Belichick say that though no, no, Bellichick didn't
- 32:03Speaker 1: say that. He just said avoiding it. That's what he's

- 33:57Speaker 1: I never heard of earthquake. It's a six second earthquake
- 34:02Speaker 1: in your body seven point five. Man, I don't look
- 34:07Speaker 1: at my brows and being on the pillow cake. Hella. Alright.
- 34:21Speaker 1: As we move on from this fascinating conversation that started
- 34:27Speaker 1: about the miss Anne is here, we take it everywhere.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Steve introduced miss Anne Please, ladies and gentlemcheese here our
- 34:35Speaker 1: very own miss and trip very much. This is answer
- 34:39Speaker 1: for the news everybody, well, not really funny. The nation
- 34:42Speaker 1: faces the possibility if yet another partial government shut down
- 34:45Speaker 1: at midnight tomorrow unless the g Opian the Democrats come
- 34:48Speaker 1: to some agreement not just on money, but of course
- 34:50Speaker 1: how to treat the Dreamers people brought here illegally as children. However,
- 34:54Speaker 1: seems like the President's willing to pay hardball period. If
- 34:57Speaker 1: we don't change it, let's have a shutdown. We'll do
- 34:59Speaker 1: a shutdown down, and it's worth it for our country.
- 35:02Speaker 1: I'd love to see a shutdown if we don't get
- 35:05Speaker 1: this stuff taken care of. We've identified three priorities for
- 35:09Speaker 1: creating a safe, modern and lawful immigration system, securing the border,
- 35:14Speaker 1: ending chain migration, and canceling the terrible visa lottery. Meanwhile,
- 35:19Speaker 1: White House Chief of Staff John Kelly is quoted as
- 35:21Speaker 1: saying yesterday that some immigrants have either been get this
- 35:24Speaker 1: too lazy or too afraid to sign up for the
- 35:26Speaker 1: program too lazy. House Intelligence Committee voters make publicly classified
- 35:31Speaker 1: Democratic memo which robuts GOP claims that the FBI and
- 35:33Speaker 1: the Justice Department to use their powers to wire tap
- 35:36Speaker 1: a Trump campaign official to vote now gives President Trump
- 35:38Speaker 1: a couple of days to review the memo and determine
- 35:41Speaker 1: whether he's going to block its release or allowed to
- 35:43Speaker 1: come out. By the way, the President has been engaged
- 35:45Speaker 1: in a lot of chess thumping lately about the stock
- 35:48Speaker 1: market when it was hitting record highs, but after several
- 35:50Speaker 1: days of ups and downs, mostly downs, the boast has
- 35:53Speaker 1: been altered. Jersey Secretary Steve Manustian now urging Americans to
- 35:56Speaker 1: look beyond the roller coaster run that the stock market
- 35:59Speaker 1: has been on recently, because he insists the administration is
- 36:01Speaker 1: focused on the big picture. We are very focused on
- 36:04Speaker 1: the long term economic growth, and we believe that the
- 36:07Speaker 1: policies that we've enacted, including tax reform, are very positive
- 36:12Speaker 1: for a long term economic growth. By the way, when
- 36:14Speaker 1: it comes to stocks, only about half of all Americans
- 36:16Speaker 1: have any, and economists say the largest stock ownership is
- 36:19Speaker 1: concentrated among the wealthy. The suspect in this disgusting viral
- 36:23Speaker 1: video showing a young girl performing oral sex on a
- 36:26Speaker 1: grown man now in police custody Alabama. Thorities announced to
- 36:29Speaker 1: warn against forty four year ord Germaine. More and more
- 36:31Speaker 1: lives in the Millbrook area. He turned himself in. They
- 36:34Speaker 1: say little girl in the video, whose age is not
- 36:36Speaker 1: being released, but yesterday they said she was six, has
- 36:40Speaker 1: been located and she's safe. This truly sad. Chicago police
- 36:43Speaker 1: looking at allegations that singer Dennis Saidwards was being abused
- 36:46Speaker 1: by his wife in the months before he died. In
- 36:48Speaker 1: order protection taken out against his wife, Brenda Edwards, alleging
- 36:51Speaker 1: domestic abuse. In fact, that was supposed to be a
- 36:53Speaker 1: hearing on a Friday, but Dennis died on the Thursday.
- 36:56Speaker 1: His wife says that the the accusation is our false
- 37:00Speaker 1: and defamatory. She does not believe them. She says, this
- 37:03Speaker 1: is someone's just trying to muddy her name for some reason. Well, finally,
- 37:06Speaker 1: on the happy note, today is Harlem Globe Triter's day.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Let's whistle Georgia Brown You Jean the Butterfly coming to
- 37:15Speaker 1: twenty minute after the ill stay too to Steve Harvey

- 37:34Speaker 1: the butter fly? Because I do do you know the butterfly,
- 37:47Speaker 1: because I do gospel side ladies and gentlemen, Bishop butter fly,
- 38:01Speaker 1: let the radio say amen, man man is the one,
- 38:06Speaker 1: and I leave bit shop about the fly with the
- 38:08Speaker 1: pink cloth. Good morning, good morning, good morning, good morning,
- 38:12Speaker 1: good morning, Charlie Kyle, the first of all the ladies.
- 38:14Speaker 1: Good morning, good morning, butterfly, flutter fluttery, junior morning, junior
- 38:20Speaker 1: in timey, good morning morning, butterfly flap on. Stephen, Stephen,
- 38:28Speaker 1: Stephen Harvey. Yeah, okay, so I got it. I got
- 38:33Speaker 1: what we can work on together. I have been just
- 38:35Speaker 1: I've been brainstorming and brainstorming. I finally have it. You know,
- 38:38Speaker 1: have the movie Girls. Trip did so so good. It
- 38:43Speaker 1: did very well. Will Packer was just outstanding with it.
- 38:48Speaker 1: He did a great job, Litten, Stephen. I think we
- 38:51Speaker 1: get what we are, poker, and you know what we do.
- 38:54Speaker 1: The boys Trip already did that would kill it? Did that? Now?
- 39:02Speaker 1: I mean the movie we're gonna do the movie that
- 39:04Speaker 1: we made. We made a movie. We shot it as
- 39:07Speaker 1: good to be out this summer. Here's hear me out, Stephen.
- 39:13Speaker 1: I just want me and my friends to do a
- 39:15Speaker 1: trip like me. Lorenzo Finzi Um, Sir Charles Meuir and Scooby,
- 39:21Speaker 1: all of us get together. We want to do a
- 39:23Speaker 1: movie and but guests instead of going to we're gonna
- 39:25Speaker 1: got to stand and so and we're gonna shoot a
- 39:27Speaker 1: lot of the footage down there. It would be a great, great,
- 39:30Speaker 1: great idea, Stephen. I just want you to really open
- 39:32Speaker 1: mindedly think about it. Yeah, I mean I would, man,
- 39:35Speaker 1: but we already did that. We already do the dudes
- 39:38Speaker 1: trip with all dudes, So you're not interested. No, it's
- 39:41Speaker 1: girl trip. We just thought we're gonna do the dude trip.
- 39:44Speaker 1: I'm trying to do something I conna be in it.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I wasn't in it to come up with something a
- 39:48Speaker 1: little bit more original then because that's been done. But
- 39:53Speaker 1: if I change it up a bit, then get a storyline,
- 39:57Speaker 1: well a good storyline, like you know, um going on
- 40:01Speaker 1: a fellows trip and then somebody goes to jail or
- 40:04Speaker 1: somebody gets lost. It's something boy, you can't go to jail. Okay,
- 40:12Speaker 1: wrap this up. Yeah, after the break of thirty four,
- 40:19Speaker 1: after the hour, on a real serious note, we're going
- 40:22Speaker 1: to talk about the politicizing of illegal immigration. You're listening
- 40:27Speaker 1: to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Well, Steve. Police have
- 40:31Speaker 1: identified the drunk driver who struck and killed Indianapolis Colts
- 40:35Speaker 1: linebacker Edwin Jackson on Sunday and say he is an
- 40:38Speaker 1: illegal immigrant who has been deported twice. Twenty six year
- 40:42Speaker 1: old Jackson and his fifty four year old Uber driver
- 40:45Speaker 1: were hit by a Ford pickup truck as they stood
- 40:48Speaker 1: outside on the shoulder of Interstate seventy. Monroe and Jackson
- 40:52Speaker 1: were standing outside the vehicle on the side of the
- 40:54Speaker 1: road because the player was ill. The football player was ill,
- 40:58Speaker 1: that's Edwin Jackson. Uh. Police say the drunk driver, thirty
- 41:01Speaker 1: sevent year old Manuel OReGO Savala, is from Guatemala and
- 41:06Speaker 1: is in this country illegally. He had previously been deported
- 41:10Speaker 1: in two thousand seven and again in two thousand nine.
- 41:13Speaker 1: President Trump tweeted, uh, so disgraceful that a person illegally
- 41:18Speaker 1: in our country killed UM coach linebacker Edwin Jackson. This
- 41:23Speaker 1: is just one of many such preventable tragedies. Uh. We
- 41:27Speaker 1: must get the Dems to get tough on the border
- 41:29Speaker 1: and with illegal immigration fast. So I mean, Steve, this
- 41:34Speaker 1: is the latest illegal immigration case that will be argued
- 41:37Speaker 1: by politicians and by activists, but Jackson's friends and roommates.
- 41:42Speaker 1: Um said that Jackson would not want his tragic death politicized,
- 41:47Speaker 1: and he says, I don't think Edwin would have judged
- 41:49Speaker 1: anyone and where they were from or anything else. But
- 41:53Speaker 1: the president is taking it. I understand and respect what
- 41:59Speaker 1: his friends are saying, and they're probably right about it.
- 42:03Speaker 1: The problem is this president and this Republican Party are
- 42:08Speaker 1: doing just that. They they did it at the address.
- 42:12Speaker 1: They had two families stand up and talk about family.
- 42:17Speaker 1: They're they're losing their daughter and their other child from
- 42:21Speaker 1: illegal immigrants. Was that gang members MS thirteen. Hey, they
- 42:28Speaker 1: take every advantage they can. See this whole thing, And
- 42:32Speaker 1: I was thinking about this this morning too. This president
- 42:35Speaker 1: promised to drain the swamp. So he's gotten rid of
- 42:40Speaker 1: the FBI director, He's gotten rid of so many key positions,
- 42:45Speaker 1: but he's refilled the swamp up with brand new creatures
- 42:50Speaker 1: to the likes that we've never seen before. How did
- 42:54Speaker 1: Steve Banion get into the White House? Or right ultra
- 43:01Speaker 1: conservative bart right? I mean these people whatever they are,
- 43:08Speaker 1: I mean these people man that like some of the
- 43:12Speaker 1: worst people when it comes to equality and no love
- 43:17Speaker 1: for anybody other than themselves? How did he get in
- 43:20Speaker 1: the White House? All these people that he's pulling the
- 43:23Speaker 1: White House that are gone now that are under federal investigation,
- 43:27Speaker 1: that have cooperated with the Muller investigation. Collusion, There's been
- 43:32Speaker 1: no collusion proven with the Russians, but there is proof
- 43:36Speaker 1: that they tampered with the election. Collusion has not been
- 43:39Speaker 1: proven yet. There are no facts about that. They're trying
- 43:41Speaker 1: to make a case for that. But you haven't had
- 43:44Speaker 1: that man, and who has even talked to the Russians
- 43:47Speaker 1: in years? But they interfered with the The investigation is
- 43:52Speaker 1: still going on anyway, right, But this is a new
- 43:56Speaker 1: creature in the swamp, and the swamp is headed up
- 44:00Speaker 1: by a new kind of president. He is so unpresidential man.
- 44:06Speaker 1: And so that's what we're dealing with now, man, And
- 44:08Speaker 1: it's and it's disheartening, And I feel for the linebacker's
- 44:12Speaker 1: family and hearts and condolences gold goes out to his
- 44:16Speaker 1: family and the uber driver who we don't even know
- 44:19Speaker 1: his name. We have his name, Jeffrey monro. Okay, but
- 44:23Speaker 1: what was the president's tweet? He tweeted about it. Now,
- 44:29Speaker 1: see that a person illegally in our country killed Coats
- 44:33Speaker 1: linebacker Edwin Jackson. This is just one of many such
- 44:36Speaker 1: preventable tragedies. We must get them. See here we go
- 44:41Speaker 1: again in this new political face that we have in
- 44:45Speaker 1: the White House, just unpresidential God. He uses the Coats
- 44:51Speaker 1: football players made the same football players that he criticized.
- 44:56Speaker 1: But when it's from political purposes. Now he has a name,
- 45:01Speaker 1: but he don't say nothing about the uber driver. Uber
- 45:03Speaker 1: Driver got a family too. Dooper Driver's life is just
- 45:06Speaker 1: as important as anybody else's life, so to me and
- 45:09Speaker 1: lose their lives, and he's going to use it for
- 45:11Speaker 1: political purposes. There can be no surprise here. The swamp
- 45:16Speaker 1: is filled with new creatures. We'll be back with more
- 45:20Speaker 1: the show when we come back. You're listening to the
- 45:24Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. Coming up at the top of
- 45:27Speaker 1: the hour, right about four minutes after today's Strawberry Letters.
- 45:31Speaker 1: But up next it's the nephew with the Frank phone
- 45:33Speaker 1: call for today. Neft what you got ain't feb Yes,
- 45:37Speaker 1: of course it is all right, then naming it Frank
- 45:42Speaker 1: right here? Black history mom, people, but our heritage, come
- 45:47Speaker 1: on nine, what is that? What is that saying? Your
- 45:51Speaker 1: grandmother used to have. If you make it through Jan
- 45:55Speaker 1: and Feb you can march on through to April. In man.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Uh here it is hello. Hello, I'm trying to reach

- 46:37Speaker 1: it Brett? Right? Okay, Well, here's what we're doing, man.
- 46:42Speaker 1: We're calling everybody in the company first of all today,

- 46:56Speaker 1: That that's something that we want to definitely let you

- 47:02Speaker 1: How can I help well, listen, We've got some things
- 47:04Speaker 1: that we want to do for tomorrow, and that's the
- 47:06Speaker 1: reason why you're getting a call today. Are you up
- 47:09Speaker 1: for helping us, you know, really really push Black History
- 47:12Speaker 1: of month within the company? Chad, I'm a team player.
- 47:15Speaker 1: Whatever it takes, let's get it done. Okay, good deal,
- 47:18Speaker 1: Good deal. I tell you what. Here's what we're gonna do.
- 47:20Speaker 1: We got a lot of people that we've given a
- 47:21Speaker 1: call to, and everybody's gonna play different roles tomorrow at
- 47:25Speaker 1: the office, So we wanted to give you a call.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Do you mind if you're if you're really the team
- 47:29Speaker 1: player that we think you are, and I think you uh,
- 47:32Speaker 1: you've you've already made mention that you you don't mind
- 47:34Speaker 1: doing what it takes, don't You're on the right track. Okay,
- 47:37Speaker 1: good deal. Here's what we're asking man. We would we
- 47:40Speaker 1: would like for you tomorrow to actually if you could
- 47:43Speaker 1: find these type of articles tonight, but if you could
- 47:46Speaker 1: wear a burlap shirt, some cut off pants and no
- 47:51Speaker 1: shoes tomorrow, that would really really help us out on
- 47:54Speaker 1: the team that we're trying to get going for tomorrow. Well, Well,
- 47:57Speaker 1: we'll chat. I think I heard, but I'm not sure.
- 48:00Speaker 1: Can can you please repeat that one more? Time leave.
- 48:03Speaker 1: We want you to wear a burlap shirt, some cut
- 48:06Speaker 1: off pants and and just don't wear any shoes at all.
- 48:09Speaker 1: That's the that's the attire that we would like for
- 48:12Speaker 1: you to come into the office with tomorrow. Yeah. Yeah,
- 48:17Speaker 1: and we're gonna give it a man. Everyone's excited about it,
- 48:20Speaker 1: and we would like for you to come in tomorrow.
- 48:22Speaker 1: H Like I said, we're chat chat let me, let me,
- 48:25Speaker 1: let me, let me give you I mean, since we're
- 48:26Speaker 1: gonna celebrate black Shish and let me give you one fat.
- 48:30Speaker 1: The year sixteen nineteen was the first African American slave
- 48:34Speaker 1: arrived in Virginia. Today is Sundays twenty. Do you think
- 48:39Speaker 1: I'm like that you? I'm sorry. I didn't. I didn't.
- 48:43Speaker 1: I didn't exactly hear what you said at the beginning?
- 48:45Speaker 1: What did what did you say? We've been over with?
- 48:47Speaker 1: Ain't no whar in hell happen to come into the
- 48:49Speaker 1: office here? Why some cluse your mind? What's wrong with you?
- 48:52Speaker 1: Why you ask me to put on a baseball? Two
- 48:54Speaker 1: can come in? Is Jackie Robinson? Why do you ask
- 48:56Speaker 1: the put on two piece suit to come in? It's
- 48:58Speaker 1: here a holder? What the hell were wrong with you? Well?
- 49:01Speaker 1: What we want to do here, and I don't want
- 49:02Speaker 1: you to get upset about this, James. What we want
- 49:05Speaker 1: to do is be like you asking me to do
- 49:07Speaker 1: to be a slave, Well, you know what I will do.
- 49:10Speaker 1: But I mean we will come up there. I will
- 49:12Speaker 1: come up there and uh pretend to be here and
- 49:15Speaker 1: nevie on your That's what I will do and show
- 49:17Speaker 1: you some real black power panther movement on your Would
- 49:21Speaker 1: you like that, sir? Sir? What we want to listen,
- 49:24Speaker 1: We're not here to create problems. What we want to
- 49:27Speaker 1: do is we want to We want to pay a
- 49:28Speaker 1: HOMEY want a problem on the fund of the dress
- 49:31Speaker 1: as a slave, that's a problem as I problem. Okay, okay, sir.
- 49:36Speaker 1: If we're gonna pay homage to black history, don't you
- 49:39Speaker 1: think that all of that is a part of black history?
- 49:42Speaker 1: High like the positive man, high like the positive. You're
- 49:46Speaker 1: paying me that they to work for you. This ain't
- 49:48Speaker 1: no slave free labor. Do you understand that? No? I don't.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I completely understand it. But what if we don't have
- 49:56Speaker 1: where where it's started from. You know, we have to
- 50:00Speaker 1: have we have to have all every single area of
- 50:04Speaker 1: black history. Don't you think we have to have the beginning,
- 50:06Speaker 1: the middle, and the ending. Okay, well, if you want
- 50:08Speaker 1: to highlight some of them to be Frederick Dublins, let
- 50:10Speaker 1: me slick my hat back. But see the problem you
- 50:12Speaker 1: got here? His father was a white man. See, y'all
- 50:15Speaker 1: like looking at our women, but y'all don't like uplifting
- 50:18Speaker 1: the black man. So how about I do that? Let
- 50:21Speaker 1: me be Frederick tells. That's how I like that? Boss?
- 50:23Speaker 1: How about you, Chad, you like black women? Uh uh,
- 50:28Speaker 1: I'm here, or answer the question. I like all all,
- 50:31Speaker 1: like all people, sir. What I'm trying to do is
- 50:34Speaker 1: get a great, great environment within the company, and everyone
- 50:38Speaker 1: want is not a great environment. So now the majority
- 50:41Speaker 1: of the of the Caucasian people are gonna be masters tomorrow. Okay,
- 50:44Speaker 1: what did you say masters? Did you gonna say masters? Yes,
- 50:49Speaker 1: most of them are gonna be masters tomorrow. I'll be
- 50:52Speaker 1: in there with my turning to master ELC lawsuit on
- 50:55Speaker 1: your How about that? So do you have a problem
- 50:59Speaker 1: with us trying to trying to uplift the black community?
- 51:02Speaker 1: To you have a problem with that man? You you
- 51:04Speaker 1: ain't uplifting saying you know what I'm gonna do. I'm
- 51:07Speaker 1: coming in the mars Barack Obama. But you don't like
- 51:09Speaker 1: to do you. Yeah, we're running around. You want to
- 51:12Speaker 1: get somebody to come in to be a slave. You
- 51:14Speaker 1: feel master, massively master me coming in there as a
- 51:18Speaker 1: black man like I've been coming into working like I'm
- 51:21Speaker 1: forever coming in the work. We are a major farm
- 51:23Speaker 1: of company. And you're calling me on a Sunday with
- 51:26Speaker 1: you like this, are you watch sir? Sir? What we're
- 51:30Speaker 1: trying to do is uplift the black community. We're trying
- 51:33Speaker 1: to say't talking about slavery, Lift and kiss my black
- 51:38Speaker 1: that's what you do, sir. I'm trying to What we're
- 51:42Speaker 1: trying to do is play a homage to black history.
- 51:45Speaker 1: And here you are being negative about the entire entire
- 51:48Speaker 1: situation of what we're trying to do. To be a
- 51:50Speaker 1: negative and I'm being like, man, you I'm coming in
- 51:54Speaker 1: as Barack Obama to mar like I said, And I'm like, hey,
- 51:57Speaker 1: I'm like, choose on my se. Can you up? Sir?
- 52:01Speaker 1: That's the There's one more thing I need to say
- 52:03Speaker 1: to you. Okay, there's one's more. What mon I'm sorry
- 52:08Speaker 1: you just said all you had to say? What's your
- 52:10Speaker 1: name again? Chad, Sir, Chad Billingsley, What here you got
- 52:13Speaker 1: to say? Chad? All I wanted to say to you
- 52:16Speaker 1: is this, sir, is I am nephew Tommy from the
- 52:19Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show and you just got pranked by
- 52:22Speaker 1: your co worker Kevin. Had to be so kind of
- 52:30Speaker 1: joke because y'all playing on a sudden. Man, I'm gonna
- 52:33Speaker 1: kill no word about my job. I was getting ready
- 52:36Speaker 1: to come to the marrow and whoops, every wife, boy,
- 52:40Speaker 1: I thought, looked like a math. And don't let me
- 52:43Speaker 1: see a brother dressed like a slave. I was onna
- 52:45Speaker 1: wolf here. Oh man, hey man, I got to ask you, man,
- 52:51Speaker 1: you gotta tell me this. What is the baddest and
- 52:53Speaker 1: I mean the baddest radio station in the land, man,
- 52:56Speaker 1: the Steve harved Morning Show? Yeah, all right, what'sall? Thing?
- 53:07Speaker 1: It's just an auction, Okay. If I were you, if
- 53:11Speaker 1: I went out today, I would wear this guy. I
- 53:14Speaker 1: really Tommy, and we get you to wear some bur lap.
- 53:20Speaker 1: Why would you even say that? In Black History Month? Though? Yeah?
- 53:26Speaker 1: You know, just little teaspoon a black history that's all.
- 53:28Speaker 1: That's that's if I went out today, if I were you,
- 53:33Speaker 1: I'm just saying, should I go out in lamps about
- 53:38Speaker 1: the c D. Let's get off, won't it do it?
- 53:44Speaker 1: Won't he do it? That's my c D. It's in
- 53:45Speaker 1: Walmart today, next month, this month, this week, next week.
- 53:49Speaker 1: You get it? Get it right now, won't he do it?
- 53:52Speaker 1: I'm pranking church people, and those are the best people
- 53:55Speaker 1: to prank. Won't he do it? Get it in Walmart today? Now?
- 53:59Speaker 1: What I'm gonna prank? And I got a good idea.
- 54:02Speaker 1: What do you think? I prank all radio personalities? What
- 54:06Speaker 1: do you mean by that? You know, like I prank
- 54:09Speaker 1: Ricky Prank, Uncle, Steve Prank, Tom Jonah Prank. What's the
- 54:15Speaker 1: one used to be a video soul? What's his name?
- 54:17Speaker 1: Donny Simpson? Danny. Yeah. I could just do a whole
- 54:22Speaker 1: CD where I pranked nothing but radio personality. That's a
- 54:26Speaker 1: whole nother CD. That's gonna be good. I go back
- 54:30Speaker 1: to the drawing board. All right, Are you done? You're
- 54:34Speaker 1: quite done? He's scaring me. Coming up at the top
- 54:37Speaker 1: of the hour. Today's Strawberry Letter. You don't want to
- 54:40Speaker 1: miss it. You're listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. President
- 54:44Speaker 1: Trump's lawyers are worried about his interview with Mueller. Uh.
- 54:48Speaker 1: The New York Times reports that Trump's legal team is
- 54:51Speaker 1: worried he could be charged for lying to investigators if
- 54:55Speaker 1: he makes contradicting statements during questioning, and while the President's
- 54:58Speaker 1: lawyers also do not believe that Mueller has legal standing
- 55:03Speaker 1: to question the president. This is where it gets complicated.
- 55:06Speaker 1: Should the President decline, Mueller could then try to subpoena him,
- 55:10Speaker 1: a move that could create a complicated legal battle. It's
- 55:13Speaker 1: believed that Robert Mueller wants to question President Trump about
- 55:17Speaker 1: the firing of former FBI Director James Comey and Trump's
- 55:21Speaker 1: interaction with former National Security advisor Michael Flynn, who, of
- 55:25Speaker 1: course we'll all recall. Uh. Flynn pleaded guilty to charges
- 55:28Speaker 1: in Mueller's probe last year. You can't let this president
- 55:34Speaker 1: talk to the special committee headed up by Mullet. You
- 55:37Speaker 1: can't let him talk because he's not no one's there.
- 55:43Speaker 1: He'll perjury himself. He can't tell the truth. Well, I
- 55:48Speaker 1: think you don't know what that is. He doesn't know
- 55:51Speaker 1: what it is. It started from day one, the largest
- 55:56Speaker 1: inauguration in the history, biggest crowds. They took a pare
- 56:00Speaker 1: your overhead view of Obama's inauguration, and he doesn't put
- 56:03Speaker 1: it next to each other. It was it was just
- 56:05Speaker 1: empty chairs. And and it's just been one thing after
- 56:19Speaker 1: the next, and he doesn't know. And so once you
- 56:22Speaker 1: say this to this special committee and the FBI agency
- 56:25Speaker 1: in the room, it's you don't have to be on
- 56:28Speaker 1: the oath. You can't make you cannot make an untrue statement,
- 56:34Speaker 1: a falseter or contradictory statement to the FBI. There are
- 56:38Speaker 1: laws that cover that. You don't have to be on
- 56:40Speaker 1: the oath. So they don't want him talking at all
- 56:42Speaker 1: because there's no way this guy can talk without doing that.
- 56:46Speaker 1: He can't not the truth, no respect for it. I
- 56:52Speaker 1: just said last week, last week that he was the
- 56:55Speaker 1: greatest president ever. He says that every day to himself
- 56:58Speaker 1: in the mirror. I'm sure got to say that. Let
- 57:00Speaker 1: me just look at the Stated Union address. Have you
- 57:04Speaker 1: ever seen a president clap more for they in the microphone? Yeah,
- 57:13Speaker 1: he was loud in the mic alright, he mad because
- 57:17Speaker 1: the dams didn't clap that he'd called him treason us.
- 57:20Speaker 1: Oh my goodness for Obama. The Republicans, right, I mean
- 57:26Speaker 1: they do this all the time, they do it, but
- 57:28Speaker 1: but to charge them with treason to overthrow the government.
- 57:32Speaker 1: That's crazy. All right, listen, come on, Tommy, it's time
- 57:35Speaker 1: for you know what. Let's get buckle up, hold on tight.
- 57:39Speaker 1: We got it for you. Here it is the Strawberry letter,
- 57:42Speaker 1: subject perfect boyfriend less than perfect credit Steve every Stephen Shirley. First,
- 57:51Speaker 1: let me clarify the title. I am the girlfriend and
- 57:54Speaker 1: I'm the one with less than perfect credit. I met
- 57:57Speaker 1: a man last year who appeared in my life just
- 58:00Speaker 1: two weeks after I got down on my knees and
- 58:02Speaker 1: prayed one of the one of the most serious prayers
- 58:06Speaker 1: I have prayed in my life, asking God to send
- 58:09Speaker 1: me the helpmate I need it because I was tired
- 58:12Speaker 1: of being a workaholic. I had never prayed that prayer
- 58:15Speaker 1: in my life. Here is how I know this man
- 58:17Speaker 1: was sent by God. I met him while I was
- 58:20Speaker 1: doing some volunteer work that I forced myself to do.
- 58:23Speaker 1: After we met, we talked on the phone for weeks,
- 58:26Speaker 1: discussing everything under the sun. The more we talked, the
- 58:30Speaker 1: more we wanted to talk. We started doing things that
- 58:33Speaker 1: I had never done in previous relationships. We began playing
- 58:36Speaker 1: tennis together, going to the gym, going to church, finding
- 58:40Speaker 1: new places to visit, going to concerts, finding historical events
- 58:45Speaker 1: to attend, reading books, and much more. Each day, when
- 58:49Speaker 1: we got off work, we were on the phone discussing
- 58:52Speaker 1: dinner plans. It has been seven months of extreme happiness
- 58:55Speaker 1: with me wanting to spend more and more time with
- 58:58Speaker 1: this good black man. He has been talking marriage, but
- 59:02Speaker 1: I am hesitant to enter into that world because I
- 59:05Speaker 1: have what marketing companies referred to as less than perfect credit.
- 59:10Speaker 1: But we all know what that means. None of the
- 59:12Speaker 1: stuff on my credit report is recent because I am
- 59:15Speaker 1: back on my feet, but it's still bad, including a
- 59:18Speaker 1: Chapter seven and student loans. This man owns a Yukon
- 59:22Speaker 1: Alexis and a nice house. He's good. He is good credit.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I know this for sure. He does not bragger boas
- 59:30Speaker 1: material things. But I am so scared of letting him
- 59:33Speaker 1: find out about my credit status. I appear to have.
- 59:36Speaker 1: I appear to have decent credit because I have a
- 59:38Speaker 1: nice house and car too, But the truth is I
- 59:42Speaker 1: can't even rent a car. I have no credit cards.
- 59:45Speaker 1: This man has treated me like a total queen with
- 59:48Speaker 1: love and respect. He stays in constant communication with me,
- 59:52Speaker 1: and it is understood that we are spending quality time
- 59:55Speaker 1: together each and every day. Problems I had in the
- 59:59Speaker 1: past relations and ships are not even an issue with
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: this brother. I am totally in love with him, his
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: character and the role model he is too young men,
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: I would be honored to be his wife. So how
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: do I approach him about my credit status? First of all,
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: I got to say thank you a whole lot for
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: this letter. I love this letter because these are the
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: kinds of issues you should be talking about when you
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: when you think about getting married, When you talk about
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: getting married, what is your credit status or credit problem?
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: Stuff like that. I don't care how much you love
- 1:00:29Speaker 1: a person, you still need to know how they handle money.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: You still need to know if they pay their bills.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: You still need to know if they pay their bills
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: on time. All of that because money is one of
- 1:00:40Speaker 1: the number one problems in a marriage. If you have
- 1:00:42Speaker 1: a bad marriage, it can cause a bad marriage. It's
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: better to know up front so you can fix itive
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: need be here's the deal. If this man was truly
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: sent by God to you, and only you and the
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: Lord know that, then that's great. Have faith He'll work
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: it out. I say, man up, be strong, God, brought you,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: that brought you this far. He won't leave you. You
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: can start on repairing your credit now, that's what you
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: can do. Okay, So when he does propose, you can
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: it can at least be fixed. Your your score can
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: can go up. You say, none of this stuff on
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: your credit report's recent anyway, So for all you know,
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: you can get credit. Now have you even tried? I say,
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: I say, get to work, get to work, try this,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: get to work, start repairing your credit. Um, you know,
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: so you can stay in this good relationship with this
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: good man. Okay, Steve, Nah, I don't see that surely.
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: As some other things in this letter that's a little
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: bit more revealing to me. Code cracker. Yeah, I saw
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: a couple of things in here and made me go, oh,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: you know a lot of it. By the way, keep
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: keep The letter is posted, by the way, if you
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: want to comment another look at it and Steve Harvey
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: dot com and you can look at it and do
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: what click on the Strawberry Letter and write your own
- 1:02:14Speaker 1: comments to the Strawberry Letter. Huh, give her your own advice.
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: All right. We'll have part two of Steve's response to
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: today's Strawberry Letter at twenty three after the hour you're
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, come on, Steve,
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: let's get to part two of your response to today's
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: Strawberry letter. See see I thought you're gonna keep it,
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: Pappy baby, Now now see his time gonna get up
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: in this from the right way, Steve Sherley. Subject, perfect
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: boyfriend and less than perfect credit, Tyler, this letter makes
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: you think that this is a perfect boyfriend who has
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: less than perfect credit. That's the beginning of what's wrong
- 1:02:55Speaker 1: with this letter. But then let me share this week,
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: Steve Sherley. First, let me clarify the ty though I
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: am the girl. See why even why would you even
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: write the title? And then say, let me clarify the title.
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: I want you to see how this lady right. First,
- 1:03:10Speaker 1: let me clarify the title. I am the girlfriend and
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: I am the one with less than perfect credit. I
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: met a man last year who appeared in my life
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: just two weeks after I got down on my knees
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: and prayed one of the most serious prayers I have
- 1:03:23Speaker 1: prayed in my life, asking God to send me the helpmate.
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: I need it because I was tired of being a
- 1:03:29Speaker 1: workerholic had never prayed that prayer in my life. Here's
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: how I know the man was sitting by God. I
- 1:03:35Speaker 1: met him while I was doing some volunteer work, and
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: I thought that I forced myself to do. After we met,
- 1:03:40Speaker 1: talked on the phone for weeks, discussing everything under the sun.
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: The more we talked, the more we wanted to talk.
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: We started doing things that I had never done in
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: previous relationship. We began playing tennis together, going to the gym,
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: going to church, finding new places to visit, going to concerts,
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: finding historical events to attend, reading books, and much more.
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: Every day when we got our work, we were on
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: the phone discussing dinner plans. It's been seven months of
- 1:04:06Speaker 1: extreme happiness, with the wanting and with me wanting to
- 1:04:09Speaker 1: spend more and more time with this good black man.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: He has begun talking marriage, but I'm hesitant to enter
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: into that world because I have what marketing companies referred
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: to as less than perfect credit. But we all know
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: what that means. None of the stuff on my credit
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: report is recent because I'm back on my feet, but
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: it's still bad, including a chapter seven and student loans.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: This man's on the Yukon Alexus, a nice house. He
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: has good credit. I know this for sure. He does
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: not brag of bose material things. But I'm so scared
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: of letting them find out about my credit status. I
- 1:04:45Speaker 1: appear to have decent credit, but because I have a
- 1:04:48Speaker 1: nice house and car too, But the truth is I
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: can't even rent a car. I have no credit cause
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: this man is treated me like a total queen with
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: love and respect. He stays in constant communication with me,
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: and if it's understood that we're spending quality time with
- 1:05:04Speaker 1: each other each and every day, problems I had in
- 1:05:06Speaker 1: past relationships are not even an issue with this brother.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I'm totally in love with him, his character and the
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: role model he is to young men. I would be
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: honored to be his wife. So how do I approach
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: him about my credit issue? First of all, Shirley gave
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: you some great advice. I gotta tell you that. But
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: let's really get into what's really really wrong here. First
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: of all, I do not doubt for one moment that
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: God sent you this man. How would I know that
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: it wasn't sound like a good brother to me? Cording
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: to the letter, sound like two weeks after praying on
- 1:05:38Speaker 1: your most serious prayer. This could be it. Y'all been
- 1:05:41Speaker 1: together for some seven months nine, ain't nothing wrong. But
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: let's talk about you though. You're a little bit deceptive.
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: Later and you're practicing deception a lot, and you gotta
- 1:05:54Speaker 1: you gotta start being honest. Your problem really ain't your credit.
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: Your problem is your de aptive practice. And see you
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: just being deceitful in a way. That's what See if
- 1:06:05Speaker 1: a man played y'all like this, he'd be a line dog. Hello.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: But see when y'all do it though, it ain't that
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: no moment nice. I need your help. First of all,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: you gotta stop being deceit Tyler. The letter is subject
- 1:06:18Speaker 1: perfect boyfriend and less than perfect credit deceitful. Then you
- 1:06:22Speaker 1: straighten it out. Let me clarify the title. I'm the
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: girlfriend and I'm the one with less than perfect credit.
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: Why ain't that the title of the letter. But see,
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: you practice deceitful stuff all the time in your life,
- 1:06:33Speaker 1: and you come back and try to clarify the stuff.
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: I'm just telling you what I see in the letter.
- 1:06:38Speaker 1: You get on unit knees, Adams sees prayers you've ever
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: prayed in your life, asking God to send you the helpmate.
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: I need it because I'm tired of being a worker. Holic. Deceit.
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: You ain't tired of being a worker, Halic. You're tired
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: of being in debt and struggling. You're a worker, holic.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: Ain't you struggling? You're tired of being in debt, You're
- 1:06:59Speaker 1: tired of not having credit. You want to help mate
- 1:07:02Speaker 1: for that reason, not cause you're a worker, hollic. You
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: ain't said you're paying all the bills, you take care
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: of all the kids. You ain't said none of that.
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: You said you told God you wanted to help me.
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: Then you deceive me and write me the letter by
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: saying you're tired of being a work of Holly. No,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you ain't your problem. Ain't you work all the time.
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: You've got plenty of time for dinner, your horseback riding,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: You're going to concerts and historicallyvic, you sound like your
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: ask working too much for me. You're going to tennants,
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: you're doing the hall, this here, reading in the park,
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: star gazing and all this here sound like work a
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: holic to me, I'm just telling you, you do not
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: sound like a workaholic to me. You ain't asked God
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: because you're a worker, hollic, because you're tired of struggling.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: That's what you're ask doing. You're struggling. And then you
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: get into the letter and say, the more we talk,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: the more we want to do. We started doing things
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: I've never done in previous relationship. I don't wanna read
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: what I read and in that comment right there, but
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: go ahead, work your magic, No girl, what it is
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: you do right? Tennis together, going to the gym together,
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: going to church, finding new places to visit, going to concerts,
- 1:08:12Speaker 1: finding historical evince to a tend, reading books, much much
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: more workaholics ain't got time, but not that I see.
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: We gotta go. We have to get out of here.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: You can email us or instagram us your thoughts on
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: Today's Strawberry Letter at My Girls Shirley Switching Gears now
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: Oscar nominated Mary J. Blige. She recently graced the cover
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: of New York magazine. Mary also ditched about her role
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: as Florence Jackson on mud Bound and coping with her
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: ongoing divorce. When Mary was asked what she learned from
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: her character, especially being stripped down to her national natural
- 1:08:50Speaker 1: hair with no makeup, Mary said, I learned that I'm
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: really powerful woman. I'm a really powerful woman. I mean
- 1:08:56Speaker 1: other than just being Mary J. Blige. I learned that
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: powerful because I don't have to say much to be heard.
- 1:09:04Speaker 1: All right now, may Yeah? Can I ask you something
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: you can do? Can we bring him to the staying? Please?

- 1:09:26Speaker 1: ten minutes. We'll talk about the downfall of your ex. Wow.
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: Maybe we will continue this convo. You're listening to the
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show for sportsmanship. Patriots quarterback Tom Brady
- 1:09:42Speaker 1: didn't congratulate Philly Eagles Nick Foles after Super Bowl really. However,
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: Tom Brady's wife, I didn't know that, Giselle Buncheon took
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: to Instagram with a photo of her consoling Tom after
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: his Super Bowl loss. Giselle even congratulated the Eagles on
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: their win. But wait a minute. Tom's ex and baby mama,
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: Bridget moynihan, congratulated the Eagles. She tweeted hashtag nick Foles
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: is having an amazing game, and she also tweeted congratulations Eagle.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: So um Okay, that's keeping it. One questions from from
- 1:10:24Speaker 1: Carla for the crew is have you prayed for the
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: downfall of your X and Y? Have you prayed guys
- 1:10:32Speaker 1: anybody for the downfall of your ex. I'm not that guy,
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: allegedly allegedly, allegedly, I prayed for the Lord to take
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you out my life. I prayed for that. But you
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: don't want anything bad. I mean when I heard something
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: bad about my ex, I didn't really be upset about it.
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: I'm like, that happened to them. I didn't. I wouldn't that. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:11:02Speaker 1: you know she pregnant. What that's not a down like
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: nothing like real bad to have. I'm like, you know,
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: I was, Yeah, I prayed for you know lock y'all
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: one time didn't talk. Yeah, you know, just a temporary
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: stroke and the left sude just just Tommy quarter peers
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: on court day, court day, I did ask for a
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: coh but it was nothing. I just want to do,
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: want not to make it. That's I want to be hurt,
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: but I want the car to be told you Yeah,
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: what telling me? What were you saying? I wish you
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: ran out of gas on a cliff, you know. So wait,
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: when we first started this segment and surely asked you
- 1:12:02Speaker 1: all this question. Y'all was like, no, I ain't never
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: done nothing to pray, But what was your question? Though?
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: The question is have you prayed for the downfall of
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: your ex? And if you have, not to downfall, but
- 1:12:17Speaker 1: something that happens, you know, but to fall down. Okay,
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying that's the same thing, guys, that same thing,
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: you know, like slip on some steps and your heels
- 1:12:26Speaker 1: the same thing and go into an uncontrollable free fall.
- 1:12:30Speaker 1: Stuff like that in slow motion. Get hell called in
- 1:12:34Speaker 1: a sewer. Great, you know something, Now we ball down.
- 1:12:45Speaker 1: That's that's about the most you've done. Nothing really bad though,
- 1:12:49Speaker 1: right guys, stranger come up and slap the hell out
- 1:12:52Speaker 1: of them something like that. That's what you draw the
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: line was something bad, just really bad to happen. But
- 1:12:58Speaker 1: you don't like, you know, if I find out you
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: know you just so he won't be nothing bad? No? No, yeah,
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: changed my pit something, you know, Like I find out
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: your house got burned out and all the tapes was
- 1:13:17Speaker 1: in there, I'd be cool. What what's going on? Any tapes?
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: You know? Super glued your mouth? That's the question for
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: y'all be cause y'all don't want to carry gridges. Wait
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: a minute, Tommy, you're the one. No, you're not talking
- 1:13:33Speaker 1: about carrying grudges. I think you only so what I'm recalling.
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: I've been your friend, Oh lord, eighteen years. I ain't

- 1:14:02Speaker 1: So surely you ain't let it go even today. Hell no,
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I want to mand that that. Yeah, at my hand,
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: I wanted to be the murderess. Surely not you. I
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: wanted you see me scriptures every morning. Yeah, I'm not perfect.
- 1:14:25Speaker 1: Junior call they say, you know how to slide on
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: the car and disconnect breaks in holopoch sugar in a
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: man tank one time? Pound bad? No proof of that
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: pound backing when the man tank exploded? What what? What? What? What? What?
- 1:14:49Speaker 1: What did you need? What? How do I need proof
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: when the butcher knife is still in the last time
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: you allegedly I don't know this is this is a
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: question for the guys. Yeah, I mean just out there

- 1:15:37Speaker 1: go out at night where you're going, because that's what
- 1:15:42Speaker 1: got him in trouble. He was at at night creeping. Yeah,
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: at at night, hard to creep at lights on your car. Kindly,
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: just when you think you know the people you work with.

- 1:21:29Speaker 1: when I left the house, Wait where you was there?
- 1:21:30Speaker 1: When I left the house for prom with my duck
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: tail tuxed. I wasn't cute that night, Tom, that's what
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: you're saying, Jr. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Huh you had
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: a duck tailed tuxed When you walked off, I was laughing.
- 1:21:53Speaker 1: You were the same height as a duck. You want them, Joel, last,
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: that's out that though our holl oh man, oh boy,
- 1:22:07Speaker 1: thank you man bad for that. You need to tell
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: me when I had that ducktail tuxedo or I wasn't.
- 1:22:14Speaker 1: I thought I was flying sting at the spot boy,
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I thought I was a beastis man. You do a
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: lot of that to Tommy. A lot of this is
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: because as Uh a lady told Boomerang one time, she said,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: I had a five minutes she was motivational speaker. She
- 1:22:30Speaker 1: talked to Boomerang for five minutes. You know what she
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: told Boomerange, She said, you're the type of person where
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: you don't really need to go up inside your mind
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: by yourself. You should take somebody with you because what
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: you'd be up in that coming out because you come
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: back out with you need to take somebody else up
- 1:22:49Speaker 1: in your mind. Try some of the stell phone you
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: quit coming out with what you think and time you
- 1:22:54Speaker 1: just wanted them people. Man, well, you need to take
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: somebody up in your mind with you all your all
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: the time. Don't walk there by yourself. Man, who feeding
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: you just cute information? If I'm not gonna go over
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: by myself, how do you text my money and your man?
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: How do you? Um, we gotta go more of this
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: craziness when we come back. You're listening to the Steve
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Super Bowl Sunday was a great day
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: for the Philadelphia Eagles and for their fans, But it
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: wasn't such a great day. It was a terrible day
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: for many sports books in Vegas. Gambling industry insiders say
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: people putting money down on the game. One on of
- 1:23:41Speaker 1: the bets they placed on the spread on the money
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: line wagers, and fifty six of bets placed on the
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: over all. Right, the public was even on the winning
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: side of the prop bets. All this led to many
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: of the biggest sports books taking huge losses. Huge loss
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: It's invade, So, Junior, I think this is all attributed
- 1:24:03Speaker 1: to you, really, because you went out there and it
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: didn't handing to do with what we're doing. You put
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: that bed down there, and there was a lot of
- 1:24:10Speaker 1: people from Boston. I'm talking about hurt. I'm talking about
- 1:24:14Speaker 1: around Brady jerseys also gonna cost jerseys. They was just
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: sitting up in there looking shattered. Oh for the game,
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: that's all your ball, dude, ball, Steve. Who your fault, Philly? Okay, whatever,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: but it ain't got nothing to do with the hell.
- 1:24:32Speaker 1: Who I'm for? I'm for Philly. Quit asking me. You
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: know you don't want me to say Philly. Don't ask me.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: So when we so, after the game was over, we
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: went down to the casino. I saw some of them
- 1:24:43Speaker 1: same people, and you know, I don't let it go.
- 1:24:48Speaker 1: Oh dog, you know you're gonna try to act like
- 1:24:51Speaker 1: you don't see me coming out. I said, hey, hey, hey,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: my man, y'all where y'all from New York? Philip did it? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:25:01Speaker 1: we saw. I saw they sit there there with the
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: Brady jersey. Yeah. Man, you can tell them nothing. Before
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: the game, man, it was a shoe in. They was
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: all in the stories. You gotta lose. Take a picture
- 1:25:14Speaker 1: with the champs, I said, yeah. But when I take
- 1:25:17Speaker 1: this picture, though, y'all know that I'm from Philly. And
- 1:25:21Speaker 1: so when you when you look back at this picture,
- 1:25:23Speaker 1: remember I told y'all, yeah, you want to be telling
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: us anything? Snapped the picture confident the ultimate underdogs. I
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: mean there were some underdogs. Hey, did you guys here
- 1:25:36Speaker 1: believe Steve Gronkowski He got robbed. Someone broke into his
- 1:25:44Speaker 1: Gronkowski Well, they knew where he will. Yeah, they do that.
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: That's mess stuff though, man. Yeah. He returned to his
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: home in Foxborough yesterday and discovered it had been burglarized.
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: Police said that his home was broken into while away,
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: Like you just said, Stephen Minneapolis for the Big Game. Yeah,
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: and the house of his house is just located just
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: a few miles away from Gillette Stadium, where the team
- 1:26:07Speaker 1: returned to yesterday. And investigators are not saying what items
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: were stolen from the house, but a dispatcher was heard
- 1:26:16Speaker 1: saying that multiple safe and possibly guns were taken. That's
- 1:26:21Speaker 1: somebody been in that house before, because you know we're
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: all the safe set. Maybe they got in the safe. Well,
- 1:26:29Speaker 1: they were taking multiple safe and possible guns were taken.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: They did them. They took the safe. That's what it says.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: This is according to ESPN, that's not possible. Well, that's
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: what it says. You stuff, you can't get this safe
- 1:26:48Speaker 1: promise you henching at machines. Well, I mean if it's
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: a little beauty safe or something like that. Well, they
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: just said they were taken. But they had plenty of time.
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: The man at demand playing balls somewhere, he got plenty
- 1:27:03Speaker 1: of time. They could call an experts to remove them. Whatever.
- 1:27:07Speaker 1: All right, we have to tell you, guys, um about
- 1:27:11Speaker 1: National Black HIV and AIDS Awareness Day. Carl and I
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: want you to get tested, we want you to get care,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: we want you to stay in care, and we want you,
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: most of all, to get healthy. We'll be back. You're
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. Here we go, y'all
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: already know we the fellas, we like the act of
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: food all day, every day. That what we do. Yeah,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: he didn't have to act rhetorical question, but it does
- 1:27:37Speaker 1: come a time that we gotta stay focused on what's
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: going on in the community. So we make sure we
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: get that to the ladies. So Corlins, Shirley, he was locked,
- 1:27:45Speaker 1: take it away. I think the funny. Gonna sit back
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: and let y'all do what y'all do. How about that? Alright?
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: Cool um, thank you. This is for everyone, though it
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: doesn't have to be just the ladies or whatever. Today
- 1:27:55Speaker 1: is February seven. Check your calendar out. It is National
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: Black HIV and AID Awareness Day. Uh. This is the
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: day we observe each year to increase HIV education, testing,
- 1:28:07Speaker 1: community involvement, and treatment among black communities. This year's theme
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: is stay the Course, Stay the Course. The fight is
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: not over. We here at the Steve Harvey Morning Show
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: are doing our part to increase awareness about HIV among
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: blacks African Americans and encourage people to get involved in
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: prevention efforts. Get tested and get treatment if you are
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: living with HIV now. This is according to the CDC,
- 1:28:36Speaker 1: the Center for Disease Control. Back in two thousands sixteen,
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: African Americans accounted for forty percent of HIV diagnosis UH
- 1:28:45Speaker 1: despite making up twelve percent twelve percent now of the
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: U S population. Also, HIV diagnosis are up among African
- 1:28:54Speaker 1: American gay and bisexual men ages twenty five to thirty four,
- 1:28:59Speaker 1: increasing earty percent. That's a huge number from two thousand
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: eleven to two thousand and fifteen. However, there are promising
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: signs of progress, especially among women and those who inject drugs.
- 1:29:12Speaker 1: WOW well in all communities, surely in Tommy. The lack
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: of awareness of HIV status contributes to HIV risk, and
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: people who do not know that they have HIV cannot
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: take advantage of HIV care and treatment and may unknowingly
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: pass HIV to others. That's right, U Knowledge is power.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: The poverty rate is higher among African Americans than other
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: racial and ethnic groups. The socio economic issues associated with
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: poverty including limited access to high quality healthcare, housing, and
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: HIV prevention education. Let's fight the stigma by showing that
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: persons with HIV are real people. Mother's, father's, friends, brothers, sisters, sons, daughters, partners, wives, husbands.
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: Today is national a Black HIV AIDS Awareness Day. Get involved,
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: get educated, get tested, protect yourself and your partner, practice
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: safe sex behavior. That's right, that's absolutely right. Get tested.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: To find a testing site near you, visit get tested

- 1:31:11Speaker 1: just one more thing. We'll close out the show with
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: Steve's closing remarks. You're listening to show see if here
- 1:31:19Speaker 1: we are end of the show. Um, with just one
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: more thing, you're closing remarks today. I want to still
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: stay on the encouraging tip and I want to talk
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: to people about something that you should make in two
- 1:31:33Speaker 1: thousand and eighteen. These are just suggestions, folks. You know,
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: I don't know everything, but these are some things that
- 1:31:39Speaker 1: I do to personally keep myself moving forward in a
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: positive direction because I'm always trying to accomplish something new.
- 1:31:46Speaker 1: You know, I'm never satisfied. Well, it's not that I'm
- 1:31:49Speaker 1: never satisfied. I'm never complacent. I don't I don't believe
- 1:31:54Speaker 1: in sitting still. I don't believe in they're not moving forward.
- 1:31:58Speaker 1: I just don't see it. Every day I try to
- 1:32:02Speaker 1: wake up and an approach and attack a new challenge.
- 1:32:07Speaker 1: I've always setting goals out there because it just gives
- 1:32:10Speaker 1: you something to aim for throughout the day. Uh. One
- 1:32:14Speaker 1: of the things I want to remind people of something
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: that I do and up you you're invited to do
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: the sing this. You know, have a life feel with
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: a mission, have a life field with a mission. You
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: canna have several missions in life. But get your life
- 1:32:33Speaker 1: filled with missions. Remember the show Mission Impossible, and remember
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: that tape recording that used to come on every day
- 1:32:40Speaker 1: and tell the guy what to do, and then at
- 1:32:43Speaker 1: the end of it, the tape with self destructive. But
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: that became the mission. It became the purpose, the task
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: at hand. And until you completed that task, you came
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: back in. And that's what the whole show is. A
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: was really funny thing. You know, it's tape recording comes
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: on and in it fears is and disintegrates, and that's
- 1:33:01Speaker 1: your mission. I still do that, man, It's sort of
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: a funny analogy. But I try to create a mission
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: in my life all the time. And in order to
- 1:33:10Speaker 1: accomplish your mission, one of the things you have to
- 1:33:12Speaker 1: do is you have to surround yourself with people who
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: are about the same mission. There will be no missions
- 1:33:22Speaker 1: accomplished in life solely by yourself. I don't I can't
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: think of anything that you can accomplish solely by yourself.
- 1:33:34Speaker 1: You know, even if you want to have a relationship
- 1:33:37Speaker 1: with God, you can have relationship with God, but to
- 1:33:39Speaker 1: draw closer, you know, you gotta have some type of tulge.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: You know, you gotta read some scriptures. Somebody's gotta show
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: you another way to approach it. Somebody go, Man, if
- 1:33:47Speaker 1: you're going through this, read this or read that, and
- 1:33:49Speaker 1: it sort of helps you with your goal. Leaven in that.
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: But I don't know anything that you can accomplish mission
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: wise alone. So you need to surround yourself who people
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: who are like minded. As a motivational speaker, sometimes when
- 1:34:05Speaker 1: I'm going I use my motivational pictures that I keep
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: in my phone and I put them up on the
- 1:34:10Speaker 1: big screen and I showed them to people. And one
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: of my favorite pictures is a picture of these lions
- 1:34:17Speaker 1: walking and the expression on the lions face because they've
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: they've they've woken up from their nap and they're going
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: out for the hunt. And if you look at lions
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: when they're walking to go out on a hunt, they
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: all have that same determined look on their face because
- 1:34:38Speaker 1: they're all about the same mission. You ever noticed when
- 1:34:41Speaker 1: lions ready to go out on the hunt, they leave
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: the cubs back at the den because see, it ain't
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: no time to play out here, because we're going out
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: here to feed, We're going out here to hunt. So
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: they leave the cubs back in the den when they
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: go out on the hunt, because the ain't got no
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: time for no foolishness. And I have the picture in
- 1:35:00Speaker 1: my phone of these lions just striving and if you
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: look at all the looks on their face, they're serious.
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: It ain't no playtime because everybody is on the same mission.
- 1:35:15Speaker 1: Everybody is of the like mindedness that it takes to
- 1:35:19Speaker 1: accomplish the mission. And the capture says, surround yourself with
- 1:35:24Speaker 1: people who are on the same mission. And I'm saying
- 1:35:27Speaker 1: that to you today. Find someone who is about the
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: business just like you are. Start hanging out with people
- 1:35:37Speaker 1: who are goal oriented, who are success minded. Somebody was
- 1:35:44Speaker 1: talking to somebody one time and they said, man, Steve,
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: let me ask your something. Why rich people are always
- 1:35:48Speaker 1: talking about money? That would get on my nerves. Okay,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: what else you want to talk about? You want to
- 1:35:54Speaker 1: talk about what happened on the Real Housewives? What you
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: want to talk about what's going on in the field?
- 1:36:00Speaker 1: Aid us today, we can talk about that. But when
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: I get together with my friends, we get together. We
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: on a mission. I even play golf with people who
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: are on the same mission as me. You know, we
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: because we have like mindedness. I don't play golf with
- 1:36:17Speaker 1: a bunch of single friends because see, now, when we're
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: not playing golf, we're not gonna be able the single man.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: I need people just want to go play golf, Go
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: to the clubhouse, have a cigar, get yourself a drink,
- 1:36:29Speaker 1: get yourself somebody, and gonna go to your room because
- 1:36:31Speaker 1: we gotta get up early to morning and play this
- 1:36:33Speaker 1: tournament game we got going again. That's just it. Even
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: when I play, I play with people of like mindedness.
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: I don't play with people that's that's doing something else
- 1:36:43Speaker 1: because I don't need the distraction. It's very important that
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: you surround yourself with like minded people. Find them somewhere. See.
- 1:36:54Speaker 1: It goes along with an old saying, you've all heard this.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: If you're the smartest person in your group, then you
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: need a new group. You got You can't be the
