- 1:44Speaker 1: turn mouth turn the water of the Monica loove me
- 1:55Speaker 1: come come out you think that, Uh huh, I sure will.
- 2:03Speaker 6: Good morning everybody. You're listening to the voice, Come on
- 2:07Speaker 6: dig me now, one and only Steve Harvey got a
- 2:10Speaker 6: radio show. Here we go today. I think I have
- 2:15Speaker 6: something for a lot of people today, at least I
- 2:17Speaker 6: hope I do. And this is about on your journey,
- 2:22Speaker 6: And this is about something that happens to us all.
- 2:27Speaker 6: I mean, what happens to all of us from time
- 2:31Speaker 6: to time when we get discouraged, What happens to all
- 2:36Speaker 6: of us when we feel like quitting, What happens to
- 2:40Speaker 6: all of us when we have that turnback moment, What
- 2:44Speaker 6: happens to all of us.
- 2:46Speaker 1: When it don't seem like it's going to pan out.
- 2:50Speaker 6: Because I want you to understand something that everyone, every
- 2:54Speaker 6: single living soul, has those thoughts about something at some
- 2:59Speaker 6: point point in their life. I mean, you know, look,
- 3:03Speaker 6: I've oftentimes been discouraged about things not happening as fast
- 3:09Speaker 6: as I like them. All things don't pan out the
- 3:12Speaker 6: way I would like for them to have panned out.
- 3:16Speaker 6: I mean, it's so many ways to get discouraged. But
- 3:22Speaker 6: what my encouragement to you is when discouragement comes is
- 3:29Speaker 6: understand this. It is a part of the growth process.
- 3:35Speaker 6: It is a test. It is a test of your faith.
- 3:42Speaker 6: How bad you want it, do you really believe? That's
- 3:49Speaker 6: all faith is is, simply, and I've said this how
- 3:52Speaker 6: many times. Faith is the belief in things that you
- 3:56Speaker 6: cannot see. So when discouragement comes, set back comes, it
- 4:01Speaker 6: is a test of your faith. At least it's been
- 4:04Speaker 6: that way for me. Now other people can explain it
- 4:07Speaker 6: another way. I'm not other people. I can only give
- 4:10Speaker 6: it to you the way it has come to me
- 4:11Speaker 6: and throughout my life, and man o man or man
- 4:14Speaker 6: discouragement sometimes it's tough to deal with because it seems
- 4:22Speaker 6: at times when you were discouraged that it is so
- 4:25Speaker 6: absolute that this means the end, and if you allow
- 4:32Speaker 6: it to set in, it can be just that the
- 4:36Speaker 6: end of you, when merely merely it was a test.
- 4:41Speaker 1: That's all it is.
- 4:42Speaker 6: But the majority of people that I know who are
- 4:45Speaker 6: not successful or who have told me the story of
- 4:49Speaker 6: how they gave up, it was because at a moment
- 4:53Speaker 6: of discouragement that they allowed it to set in and
- 4:58Speaker 6: it became so engulfing that it became the reason why
- 5:03Speaker 6: you shouldn't finish. And then they started justifying it with
- 5:06Speaker 6: hitt one that I hate to hear. Well, if it's
- 5:09Speaker 6: God's will, excuse me. If it's God's will that you fail.
- 5:17Speaker 6: If it's God's will that you're not successful. If it's
- 5:22Speaker 6: God's will that you lay down and give up, it's
- 5:25Speaker 6: God's will that you allow yourself to amount to, not
- 5:30Speaker 6: to not reach your potential. That's God's will. That's not
- 5:35Speaker 6: the God I know. That's not the God I serve.
- 5:39Speaker 6: That's not the God I've read about. That's not the
- 5:42Speaker 6: God I believe in. I'm sorry. I just my mother
- 5:46Speaker 6: always taught me something that he didn't bring me this
- 5:48Speaker 6: far to leave me. I just don't believe that, not
- 5:53Speaker 6: for a second. Now have I convinced myself for some things, yep?
- 6:00Speaker 6: Have I allowed the devil to come into the picture
- 6:02Speaker 6: and paint a different one from it. Yep, yep, I've
- 6:05Speaker 6: done all of that. But you can't blame that on God. Now,
- 6:09Speaker 6: come on, So when discouragement comes, try to look at
- 6:17Speaker 6: it if you can, as a test of your faith,
- 6:21Speaker 6: and you merely have to pass the test. It could
- 6:25Speaker 6: be for a day, a half a day, a few hours,
- 6:28Speaker 6: a week, a few weeks, it don't matter. Don't nobody
- 6:31Speaker 6: know how long the test period is. Your job is
- 6:34Speaker 6: to keep the faith and keep moving. Keep the faith
- 6:38Speaker 6: and keep moving, keep working, keep believing, keep hope alive.
- 6:44Speaker 1: That's your job.
- 6:46Speaker 6: If you do that, that's how you pass the test.
- 6:50Speaker 6: It could be over tomorrow, it could be over in
- 6:52Speaker 6: two weeks, it could be over in a month.
- 6:53Speaker 1: You don't know.
- 6:54Speaker 6: But all you got to do is wake up and
- 6:57Speaker 6: keep the faith and fight the discouraging feeling.
- 7:00Speaker 1: And how do you do that? Steve? Now here we go.
- 7:03Speaker 6: This is the part I know about for show because
- 7:06Speaker 6: how many times I've had to fight off discouragement in
- 7:10Speaker 6: order to get to where God wanted me to be.
- 7:13Speaker 6: What do you do when you become discouraged? Well, I
- 7:19Speaker 6: think of the outcome. When I get discouraged about a task,
- 7:23Speaker 6: I think about the outcome. Man, what would it be
- 7:26Speaker 6: like if I were to complete the task? What would
- 7:29Speaker 6: it be like?
- 7:30Speaker 1: Man?
- 7:31Speaker 6: What would the outcome be for me if I hung
- 7:34Speaker 6: long in there, if I didn't give up, If I imagine,
- 7:40Speaker 6: I imagine if I don't quit. I imagine if I
- 7:44Speaker 6: don't give up, what would it be like? Man, Suppose
- 7:49Speaker 6: everything I'm hoping for comes true. But if I don't
- 7:52Speaker 6: quit and give up, that might just be the case.
- 7:56Speaker 6: I start talking to myself like that, think of what
- 8:00Speaker 6: the upside is.
- 8:02Speaker 1: What's the upside to stay in with it?
- 8:05Speaker 6: You see, all this is the same thing. I'm just
- 8:07Speaker 6: giving you different ways to look at it. I'm saying
- 8:09Speaker 6: the exact same thing over and over. But I'm just
- 8:12Speaker 6: trying to find the switch that connects in your mind
- 8:15Speaker 6: where you can say, Okay, man, I'm gonna hang in there.
- 8:18Speaker 6: Because if you think of the outcome and the outcome
- 8:21Speaker 6: is appealing to you, if you imagine what it would
- 8:24Speaker 6: be like if you don't give up or you don't quit,
- 8:28Speaker 6: if you think only of what the upside is to
- 8:32Speaker 6: stay in with it, And then I go, where can
- 8:36Speaker 6: this lead to? If I stay with it, man, and
- 8:40Speaker 6: the outcome comes true? What else could that lead me?
- 8:43Speaker 6: To because I mean, there's always more to it. So
- 8:48Speaker 6: where else could this lead me to? What are the possibilities?
- 8:53Speaker 4: Man?
- 8:54Speaker 6: What are the limitless possibilities? What could God possibly have
- 8:59Speaker 6: in store for me? If I just hang in there,
- 9:01Speaker 6: if I pass this test of faith? If I just
- 9:05Speaker 6: pass this test, now, it ain't gonna be the only one.
- 9:08Speaker 6: But you gotta get past this one. No, then you
- 9:11Speaker 6: gonna hear the smooth plane. Then it's gonna be another one.
- 9:14Speaker 6: It's gonna be another one. Life ain't nothing but a
- 9:16Speaker 6: series of tests.
- 9:17Speaker 1: Man.
- 9:20Speaker 6: Man, when you're thinking about giving up, when you're discouraged,
- 9:24Speaker 6: think of the outcome. Imagine what it would be like
- 9:27Speaker 6: if you don't quit, if you don't give up, what's
- 9:30Speaker 6: the upside to staying with it? Where can this all
- 9:34Speaker 6: lead to? What can this get you to? If you
- 9:38Speaker 6: do this and you get to where you think you
- 9:40Speaker 6: want to be? Oh my god, what's after that? What
- 9:44Speaker 6: are the limitless and endless possibilities of holding on to
- 9:49Speaker 6: your faith?
- 9:50Speaker 1: What could really be out there for me? Man?
- 9:52Speaker 6: If I just pass this test, you gotta talk yourself
- 9:55Speaker 6: into hanging in there.
- 9:57Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey morning shows.
- 10:00Speaker 6: Ladies and gentlemen, you know what I guess you do
- 10:03Speaker 6: by now start to show almost the same way every day,
- 10:07Speaker 6: by recognizing that it is a new day that you
- 10:11Speaker 6: simply don't have to be here. It's not a given.
- 10:14Speaker 6: It is a gift. And what a great and wonderful
- 10:17Speaker 6: gift it is. Man, Thank you God for that one
- 10:20Speaker 6: right there. I shall appreciate the ride.
- 10:22Speaker 7: Man.
- 10:23Speaker 6: Sometimes it's bumpy lumpy. Sometimes it's got a lot of
- 10:27Speaker 6: pitfalls in it. Sometimes it gotta take a detour in it.
- 10:30Speaker 6: Sometimes the traffic ain't moving at all. But whatever the
- 10:33Speaker 6: deal is, I'm sitting here and I'm giving you the wheel.
- 10:37Speaker 6: I'm in the back seat riding. I might look out
- 10:40Speaker 6: at the windshiel there now and there is see what
- 10:42Speaker 6: you're doing. But it's just cause I'm human. But it'd
- 10:45Speaker 6: be better if I just sat back and enjoyed the ride.
- 10:47Speaker 6: But then gotta do something right. Faith with our works
- 10:50Speaker 6: is dead right, So it's a combination. Just gotta work
- 10:53Speaker 6: with it. But keep talking to him because he loved
- 10:55Speaker 6: to hear from you, ladies and gentlemen. This is Steve
- 10:57Speaker 6: Harvre marta Show, Sheldon Strawberry calling for real Mississippi Monica.
- 11:01Speaker 1: Jr.
- 11:01Speaker 6: And the legend of nephew Tommy. You know what, JUNI,
- 11:04Speaker 6: you got on a different heckday, was going on with
- 11:06Speaker 6: your man and you're smiling. That's rare, that is so rare. Yeah, no,
- 11:11Speaker 6: just yeah, that's the fact.
- 11:14Speaker 2: No, no, no, I'm good man.
- 11:18Speaker 8: The important of planting seeds. You also have this hear
- 11:21Speaker 8: about planting seeds. If I just keep planting, well, you.
- 11:24Speaker 6: Got a plant man to uh to produce a harvest.
- 11:28Speaker 1: You gotta constantly put seeds in the ground.
- 11:30Speaker 6: We are all farmers and we all end up harvesting
- 11:34Speaker 6: the seeds that we plant it. So if you're not
- 11:37Speaker 6: ever eaten, you got to think about, now, what have
- 11:40Speaker 6: you planted? Planting?
- 11:42Speaker 1: You can't complain and plant them. Two don't work together.
- 11:46Speaker 6: You can't be a hater and plant because nothing comes
- 11:50Speaker 6: out of rotten soil. So you gotta be kind of
- 11:54Speaker 6: conscious of everything that you're saying and you're doing, and
- 11:57Speaker 6: eventually you can harvest. But you are also got to
- 12:00Speaker 6: be careful about the seeds that you plant. You got
- 12:02Speaker 6: to give them time to produce crop. You can't put
- 12:07Speaker 6: a seed in the ground this morning and look to
- 12:10Speaker 6: eat off of it this afternoon. That is not how
- 12:14Speaker 6: this works. There's a timing involved in growing crops. I
- 12:20Speaker 6: personally have a theory and that it has worked for
- 12:24Speaker 6: me because I was taught it by several people. Plant cover, fertilize,
- 12:30Speaker 6: Plant cover, fertilize, plant cover, fertilize.
- 12:37Speaker 1: If you do that every.
- 12:39Speaker 6: Day, if you are constantly putting effort into the ground,
- 12:43Speaker 6: you walk on.
- 12:44Speaker 1: The Bible says you reap what you sew. That's a factor.
- 12:48Speaker 6: Man, So you gotta be constantly planting, fertilizing. You gotta constantly, man,
- 12:56Speaker 6: be doing that and then go and then you're gonna
- 13:01Speaker 6: look up and years later you can go back to
- 13:04Speaker 6: the first row.
- 13:05Speaker 1: You plan it and start harvested.
- 13:07Speaker 6: And then while you're harvest and you look up, and
- 13:10Speaker 6: when you put it in the storehouse, you look back
- 13:12Speaker 6: on the second role you plant it, and it's producing crops.
- 13:16Speaker 6: And that's how you have a continuous life and blessing
- 13:19Speaker 6: and flow. And there's gonna be some rain sometimes crop
- 13:22Speaker 6: gonna get wiped out by wind and then pesticides. He
- 13:25Speaker 6: come hate us. Yeah, you gotta beware of that locus
- 13:29Speaker 6: coming through.
- 13:30Speaker 1: That all right, keep playing up.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Thirty two minutes after the hour we'll hear from the
- 13:38Speaker 2: nephew as he runs that brank back. Right after this.

- 14:25Speaker 9: prank back.
- 14:26Speaker 5: What you got for is nev You are not married
- 14:29Speaker 5: them kids. I'm not gonna say it, but you know
- 14:31Speaker 5: what those kids are. You know what they are, don't you?
- 14:33Speaker 5: Y'all y'all not married. I'm sorry. I just hate to
- 14:38Speaker 5: be the bearer of bad news, but let's run it
- 14:40Speaker 5: right quick. Cat dog, if you would hello.
- 14:43Speaker 10: I'm trying to reach Brian. Yeah, how you doing, Brian,
- 14:46Speaker 10: My name is Daniel. Wanted to give you a call today.
- 14:50Speaker 10: You got a minute. Yeah, okay, listen. You're Brian, Brian right,
- 14:56Speaker 10: you're married to Althea.
- 14:59Speaker 11: Yeah ll o, yeah, yeah, that's that's me.
- 15:02Speaker 12: That's yeah.
- 15:03Speaker 10: Okay, got a question for you. How long have you
- 15:06Speaker 10: guys been married?
- 15:07Speaker 11: Going on nine years now, we've been married? Now, who
- 15:11Speaker 11: is it?
- 15:11Speaker 10: My name is Daniel, were you were you guys married
- 15:15Speaker 10: at a Greater New Missionary Baptist Church.
- 15:18Speaker 11: Lina see yeah, yeah, yes, yes, that's the name of
- 15:21Speaker 11: that church. Yeah, great, by nine years? Yeah, that's right.
- 15:25Speaker 11: Why what's going on? What's asking all these questions?
- 15:27Speaker 12: Fus?
- 15:28Speaker 10: Okay, do you remember the minister that officiated your actual
- 15:33Speaker 10: wedding ceremony?
- 15:34Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 15:34Speaker 10: Now, reverend right, Yeah, okay, I got the right person.
- 15:39Speaker 10: I wanted to make sure I had the right person, Brian.
- 15:42Speaker 10: So I'm I'm sorry if it if it seemed a
- 15:44Speaker 10: little weird to you. Here. Here's what's going on. We've
- 15:47Speaker 10: just come up with a new discovery a lot of
- 15:50Speaker 10: information that Reverend none of his credentials are true. Everything
- 15:56Speaker 10: is false. He's not a minister at all, he never
- 16:00Speaker 10: was a minister, and every single wedding ceremony that he
- 16:04Speaker 10: officiated is basically null and void. So and I hate
- 16:09Speaker 10: to be the bear of bad news, but you and Alpha,
- 16:13Speaker 10: even though you think you've been married for nine years,
- 16:16Speaker 10: you guys are not married at all.
- 16:19Speaker 11: No, no, no, no, no. That that you gotta have
- 16:21Speaker 11: the wrong person, because then that ten we got we
- 16:24Speaker 11: got married by nine years ago.
- 16:25Speaker 10: And what I'm telling you is he he never was ordained.
- 16:34Speaker 10: He's never been an ordained minister. He's not a minister
- 16:37Speaker 10: at all. So when he performed this ceremony, your wedding ceremony,
- 16:41Speaker 10: he had no right to be doing that. You guys
- 16:43Speaker 10: are not are not married. You know, you guys have
- 16:46Speaker 10: been living in sin for nine years.
- 16:49Speaker 11: Hold on, hold on that.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Let me tell you something.
- 16:51Speaker 11: I ain't been living in offense. Me and my wife,
- 16:53Speaker 11: we have been married for nine years. And that man,
- 16:56Speaker 11: he's a preacher. I'm telling you he's a preacher. I
- 16:58Speaker 11: read the last Sunday Sir.
- 17:00Speaker 10: As of today, he has no right to be in
- 17:03Speaker 10: anybody's pull pit. He has no right to be officiating,
- 17:07Speaker 10: whether it's weddings or funerals, no matter what it is,
- 17:10Speaker 10: christening's for children. He's not allowed to do that, and
- 17:13Speaker 10: we have officially stopped him from doing anything serving under
- 17:18Speaker 10: as being a pastor or a minister. We have stopped
- 17:21Speaker 10: at But what I want you to know is that
- 17:24Speaker 10: you have been living in sin and you don't. We
- 17:27Speaker 10: want to try and get you guys married as soon
- 17:30Speaker 10: as possible, so you're not living in sin.
- 17:32Speaker 11: Oh no, dog, I have been living in those sin.
- 17:35Speaker 11: I have been married for ninety years. This woman, she
- 17:38Speaker 11: has been taking care of me and my kids for
- 17:40Speaker 11: the past Wait.
- 17:42Speaker 10: Wait a minute, wait a minute. Have you guys have children.
- 17:45Speaker 11: Yeah, yeah, we have two kids, two beautiful kids.
- 17:48Speaker 10: Okay, then those kids are bastards, amards.
- 17:50Speaker 11: Hold on, hold on, let me tell you something. My
- 17:52Speaker 11: kids ain't no baskets.
- 17:53Speaker 10: What about your kids?
- 17:54Speaker 11: Your kids ambassts?
- 17:55Speaker 10: No, sir, my kids were born in wedlock. Your kids
- 17:58Speaker 10: have been born out.
- 18:00Speaker 11: I'm telling you that man did my service and he
- 18:04Speaker 11: is a preacher. He's a man after God's own heart himself.
- 18:08Speaker 11: He hasn't done everything that he could men my family.
- 18:11Speaker 11: He is a preacher, sir.
- 18:13Speaker 10: I know it's hard for you to swallow the truth,
- 18:16Speaker 10: but I want you to know, and I need you
- 18:18Speaker 10: to be able to tell out thea that you guys
- 18:20Speaker 10: are not married and not as of right now.
- 18:22Speaker 11: No, no, okay, so holder hold on now, back in
- 18:26Speaker 11: the older days, but before all these all these colleges
- 18:29Speaker 11: and stuff came came about. You telling me that their
- 18:31Speaker 11: men back in the old days, that they wasn't no preachers,
- 18:34Speaker 11: that they wasn't men.
- 18:35Speaker 12: After the colu Is that what you're saying to me?
- 18:38Speaker 10: What you what do you? What are you? What are
- 18:40Speaker 10: you getting at?
- 18:40Speaker 1: Sir?
- 18:41Speaker 11: What I'm trying to say is back in the older day,
- 18:43Speaker 11: baking the twenties and thirties, they didn't have all these
- 18:45Speaker 11: colleges and all these degrees and stuff like these new
- 18:47Speaker 11: preachers got these days that man now he was from
- 18:50Speaker 11: back then, and God called them and that's.
- 18:53Speaker 7: What they went on too.
- 18:54Speaker 11: And all them people that they married back then, they
- 18:57Speaker 11: did the same thing today. You don't even know what
- 18:59Speaker 11: degree to say that you're a preacher. You don't need
- 19:01Speaker 11: no life to say.
- 19:02Speaker 12: You're a preacher.
- 19:03Speaker 11: Me and my wife we've been married for nine years.
- 19:05Speaker 11: My kids have been born any wedlock.
- 19:08Speaker 12: We were married.
- 19:09Speaker 11: We were married for remend My friends and family, they
- 19:12Speaker 11: was all there, sir.
- 19:13Speaker 10: The bottom line is that you have been living in
- 19:16Speaker 10: sin because you have not been married with your wife
- 19:18Speaker 10: for the last nine years. And your kids, I hate
- 19:22Speaker 10: to say it, your kids are bastards now, hond on Now.
- 19:25Speaker 12: I done told you.

- 27:06Speaker 1: If it was Phelix, begin it.
- 27:08Speaker 9: If it was she didn't say that, She just said
- 27:10Speaker 9: her oldest male friend.
- 27:12Speaker 6: Now, then if he's straight and he said that, then
- 27:16Speaker 6: I'm gonna pull him off to the side and I'm
- 27:18Speaker 6: gonna ask him. You know what, since you're funny, you
- 27:21Speaker 6: know it can't tell me the joke because I just

- 29:24Speaker 2: deodorant is more important than other things that could go
- 29:27Speaker 2: on if he wasn't covered in deodorant.
- 29:29Speaker 1: If he's crazy.

- 32:25Speaker 1: about Papaye? Popeyes are closed without us? You get boy?
- 32:38Speaker 1: You you make us mad? You close your doors. It's
- 32:44Speaker 1: a wrap.
- 32:47Speaker 9: Finally, guys, we got to ask this question, what is
- 32:49Speaker 9: up with the NFL?
- 32:51Speaker 7: Uh?
- 32:51Speaker 2: These these NFL players and massages? What is going on here?
- 32:55Speaker 7: Now?
- 32:56Speaker 2: Baltimore Ravens play place kicker Justin Tucker faces even more
- 33:00Speaker 2: allegations of misconduct affort. Seven more massage therapists have come

- 33:16Speaker 9: During Super Bowl Burst Fave uhh.
- 33:19Speaker 2: During Super Bowl Week, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell addressed the allegations,
- 33:23Speaker 2: stating that the NFL is taking the allegation seriously. Tucker
- 33:27Speaker 2: could face discipline under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy.
- 33:31Speaker 9: There we go again.
- 33:33Speaker 1: Well, we already know what that's gonna be. Yeah, he's
- 33:36Speaker 1: gonna end.
- 33:37Speaker 9: Up being Cleveland more money in a trade.
- 33:40Speaker 1: That's where you go. Andy, That's what we seem to
- 33:45Speaker 1: be attracted to.
- 33:46Speaker 6: No, everybody like massage. Just come on to Cleveland. We're
- 33:54Speaker 6: gonna pay you a deal. We ain't gonna be.
- 33:59Speaker 9: Able to play. Wow.
- 34:05Speaker 2: But what do you think the what is involved in
- 34:08Speaker 2: the personal conduct policy with the NFL? Anyway, you have
- 34:11Speaker 2: to conduct yourself in a certain way, right.
- 34:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean everybody has almost all jobs have that.
- 34:17Speaker 9: We have that here right exactly.
- 34:19Speaker 6: You can't do anything that brings shame or bad light
- 34:23Speaker 6: on the brand or company. And NFL is a brand
- 34:27Speaker 6: and a company. That shield is bigger than all the players. Yeah,
- 34:33Speaker 6: and even if you're not found guilty, m NFL can
- 34:39Speaker 6: do something. Suspend you until they do, because they love
- 34:42Speaker 6: to create the image that they're this self righteous group
- 34:46Speaker 6: of people, and they've actually hurt some careers or some
- 34:50Speaker 6: guys who were innocent.
- 34:53Speaker 7: You know.
- 34:54Speaker 1: Oh okay, but.
- 34:59Speaker 9: Eight Spats, Well.
- 35:00Speaker 6: I'm not saying he's innocent. You asked me about the
- 35:04Speaker 6: NFL conduct property, That's all I was. I wasn't referring
- 35:08Speaker 6: to any specific player.
- 35:09Speaker 1: No, I don't know him.
- 35:13Speaker 6: But after all that went on with Deshaun Washson. I
- 35:16Speaker 6: would think you would think, right, somebody come to my
- 35:23Speaker 6: house and that's what they want to do. That way,
- 35:28Speaker 6: I say, they move over here for it.
- 35:30Speaker 1: That's what I would do. But no, you down now
- 35:34Speaker 1: on the whole location.
- 35:36Speaker 2: It's your behavior with someone that is a professional doing
- 35:40Speaker 2: a massage.
- 35:43Speaker 5: It very much is a location too. Let's play with
- 35:47Speaker 5: the poor muscles. Just's play with the poor muscles called
- 35:53Speaker 5: and listen.
- 35:55Speaker 6: If that's your behavior and you have a massage therapist
- 36:00Speaker 6: who participates in that behavior and that becomes consensual and
- 36:04Speaker 6: then no, I'm saying, and then they come to your
- 36:07Speaker 6: house and that's what they want to do, then you
- 36:09Speaker 6: got consensual consent and that's what y'all do, and you can.
- 36:12Speaker 1: Get the massage.
- 36:15Speaker 6: But now if you're driving down now and they rubbing
- 36:19Speaker 6: your back and then you flip over and everybody surprised. See,
- 36:24Speaker 6: that's that's where the problem is. Everybody'll want your surprise
- 36:28Speaker 6: when it's you can't live the front. Stay face down.
- 36:31Speaker 6: They got that hole in that in that pad for
- 36:34Speaker 6: a reason. Put your face in that hole. Stay face down.

- 56:20Speaker 2: Thank you, nephew. Subject My husband loves to go tit
- 56:23Speaker 2: for tat with me. Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm in my
- 56:27Speaker 2: mid thirties and I've been married for a year. My
- 56:30Speaker 2: husband was great at first, but I'm seeing a side
- 56:33Speaker 2: of him that's been bugging me. When we first met,
- 56:36Speaker 2: I was in a relationship and my boyfriend had cheated
- 56:39Speaker 2: on me. So I slept with the guy that I'm
- 56:41Speaker 2: now married to to get back at my boyfriend. My
- 56:46Speaker 2: now husband knew what I was doing and he was
- 56:49Speaker 2: with it as long as he could sleep with me.
- 56:52Speaker 2: We became close after that, and he eventually got a
- 56:55Speaker 2: divorce and I broke up with my boyfriend so we
- 56:58Speaker 2: could be together. A few months of living with him,
- 57:01Speaker 2: he spent the night with his ex wife. He said
- 57:04Speaker 2: that he thought I would understand since I'm a cheater
- 57:08Speaker 2: that struck a chord with me, But what could I say?
- 57:12Speaker 2: I did cheat on my ex with him. So fast
- 57:14Speaker 2: forward to a few years down the line and we
- 57:17Speaker 2: had a major argument and I left his house for
- 57:19Speaker 2: two months. During the breakup, I was messing with a
- 57:22Speaker 2: barber that cuts my son's hair. I never expected anyone
- 57:25Speaker 2: to find out, but the stylist started gossiping and the
- 57:28Speaker 2: rumor spread.
- 57:29Speaker 9: I ended up getting back with my man and we
- 57:31Speaker 9: got married a year ago.
- 57:33Speaker 2: Just days after the wedding, he let me know that
- 57:36Speaker 2: he knew all about me and the barber sneaking around.
- 57:40Speaker 2: I admitted that I did it because I never want
- 57:42Speaker 2: to lie to my husband. I felt so good about
- 57:45Speaker 2: being honest, but my husband always has to go tit
- 57:50Speaker 2: for tat with me, and I was afraid he would
- 57:51Speaker 2: seek revenge. Last week, he stayed out all night and
- 57:55Speaker 2: he told me that he was with his ex wife.
- 57:58Speaker 2: This marriage won't last if he's always playing tit for
- 58:01Speaker 2: tat with me. How can we remain faithful and stop
- 58:05Speaker 2: playing these games faithful? Well, I don't know how you can.
- 58:10Speaker 2: I don't think you can. You've proven that time and
- 58:13Speaker 2: time again.
- 58:14Speaker 1: Both of you had.
- 58:16Speaker 2: Haven't you heard the saying, if he'll cheat with you,
- 58:18Speaker 2: he'll cheat on you. That's a real saying and it
- 58:22Speaker 2: applies here. This marriage was doomed before it even started
- 58:26Speaker 2: because you guys cheated. You cheated on him, You cheat
- 58:29Speaker 2: it with him on your boyfriend, and he cheated with
- 58:31Speaker 2: you on his wife. Then he left his wife to
- 58:35Speaker 2: marry you. I mean, this is a mess on every level.
- 58:39Speaker 2: And can I just say that cheating is not really
- 58:42Speaker 2: what they meant when they were talking about tit for tat.
- 58:44Speaker 2: I mean, okay, tit for tat does mean, you know,
- 58:47Speaker 2: giving back an equal retaliation for something done to you.
- 58:51Speaker 9: We can say that, but not in cheating.
- 58:53Speaker 1: Though not in cheating. That's just too much, just too far.
- 58:58Speaker 2: Just leave if you got to do all of this,
- 59:00Speaker 2: I don't understand why you're staying when you know he
- 59:03Speaker 2: cheats and he knows you cheat.
- 59:05Speaker 9: What kind of marriage is this?
- 59:07Speaker 2: And you guys can't get past it because the trust
- 59:10Speaker 2: is broken?
- 59:12Speaker 9: What are you gonna do about this?
- 59:13Speaker 1: This is crazy? Steve Huh. First of all, there's no
- 59:21Speaker 1: point in writing us this letter. Nothing.
- 59:26Speaker 6: There is not one single redeeming quality. And then the
- 59:31Speaker 6: one redeeming quality you try to show backfires.
- 59:36Speaker 1: So here we go.
- 59:38Speaker 6: My husband loves to go tit for tat with me. Well,
- 59:41Speaker 6: that means you do something, I do something, You do
- 59:44Speaker 6: something I do you do it back, and you do it.
- 59:46Speaker 1: I do it, I do it, you do it. That's okay,
- 59:48Speaker 1: got it? Okay, we're going. I mean you and your
- 59:51Speaker 1: mid thirties. You've been married for a year.
- 59:53Speaker 6: Your husband was great at first, but I'm seeing a
- 59:56Speaker 6: side of him that's been bugging me. When y'all first met,
- 1:00:00Speaker 6: you were in a relationship with your boyfriend.
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: Who cheated on you. So you slept with the guy
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: that you married to now to get back.
- 1:00:11Speaker 6: At my boyfriend. All right, here we go. Now you
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: did something lady to your boyfriend that was tit for tap.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: You cheating on me. I'm gonna cheat for you. You
- 1:00:25Speaker 6: introduced this, but it wasn't just you because watch this,
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: my now husband knew I was doing it, and he
- 1:00:34Speaker 6: was with it as long as he could sleep with me.
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: Ain't that always the case?
- 1:00:40Speaker 6: We became close after that, and he eventually got a
- 1:00:43Speaker 6: divorce and I broke up And no, bahah oh, you
- 1:00:45Speaker 6: can't just throw that in now.
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: We saw that, you said.
- 1:00:50Speaker 6: We became close after he eventually got a divorce, and
- 1:00:53Speaker 6: I broke up with my boyfriend so we could be together.
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: Wait a minute, so now he was on his wife
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: with you. So here was she know his wife? You
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: cheated on your boyfriend with him? He was cool with it.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: After a few months of living with him, Where this
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: come from? Y'all just moved it?
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: See you throwing stuff in here? Like ain't nobody reading
- 1:01:19Speaker 6: this damn letter? After a few months of living with him?
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: What you living with him? Fall? He spent the night
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: with his ex wife. What this letter?
- 1:01:35Speaker 7: You?
- 1:01:35Speaker 10: You?
- 1:01:36Speaker 7: You?
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: You could never take a breath in this letter? One
- 1:01:40Speaker 6: thing I would get a later lady, she she must
- 1:01:43Speaker 6: have you remember that book used to come out called
- 1:01:45Speaker 6: Reader's Digest.
- 1:01:46Speaker 7: Uh huh.
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: What readers Digest did was it took long stories and
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: condensed them where you.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Could help and read it. Well, this is reader Digest
- 1:01:54Speaker 1: trouble letter? Did she just help?
- 1:01:59Speaker 6: And after a few mosts, he spent the night with
- 1:02:01Speaker 6: his ex wife. He said he thought I would understand
- 1:02:04Speaker 6: says I'm a chieving that struck a chord with me.
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: But what could I say? Okay, I don't know what
- 1:02:13Speaker 6: you could have said, but what you could have said,
- 1:02:17Speaker 6: what like, we say it. Yeah, I did cheat on
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: my ex with him. So when we come back, we'll
- 1:02:25Speaker 6: read the rest of this crazy ass letter.
- 1:02:28Speaker 2: Yes, all right, Steve, hang on, we'll have part two
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: of your response coming up at twenty three minutes after
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: the hour. Today's Strawberry Letters, subject my husband loves to
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: go tit for tat with me. We'll get into it,

- 1:03:27Speaker 2: let's recap today's Strawberry letter. The subject my husband loves
- 1:03:30Speaker 2: to go tit for tat with me.
- 1:03:33Speaker 6: This letter is so crazy, y'all. This is a letter
- 1:03:35Speaker 6: about two people who don't.
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: Need to be married. This woman uh is married now
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and the way they met boy she was in a
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: relationship with her boyfriend.
- 1:03:47Speaker 6: Her boyfriend cheated on her, so to get back at him,
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: she started cheating with another guy.
- 1:03:53Speaker 1: The guy she started cheating with is her husband.
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: Now he knew Her husband knew that she had this
- 1:04:02Speaker 6: ex boyfriend and was cheating on him, but he was
- 1:04:04Speaker 6: cool with it. So then, y'all, after you left your
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: boyfriend and he got a divorce, he threw that in
- 1:04:15Speaker 6: their owners. Then you discovered that your boyfriend was cheating
- 1:04:19Speaker 6: on his wife. Your boyfriend is now your husband, who
- 1:04:22Speaker 6: was cheating on his wife. So both y'all was cheating at.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: The same time. So y'all got a divorce, broke up
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: with your boyfriend so we could be together.
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: Then as soon as y'all got together, y'all obviously moved
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: in a few moments.
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: Have to live it with him. He spent the night
- 1:04:36Speaker 1: with his ex wife.
- 1:04:38Speaker 6: He said he thought I would understand since I'm a cheater,
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: and I guess he was saying, you already know I'm
- 1:04:43Speaker 6: a cheater because I was cheating on my wife when
- 1:04:46Speaker 6: I was with you, and it was cool with you
- 1:04:49Speaker 6: cause you was cheating on your boyfriend. So when I
- 1:04:52Speaker 6: started cheating on cheating on with her gear, what is.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: The damn problem? Right? You nailed it, Steve. That struck
- 1:05:00Speaker 1: a card with me. But what could I say? I
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: did cheat on my ex with him.
- 1:05:05Speaker 6: So fast forward a few years down the line, we
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: had a major argument and I left his house for
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: two months. Okay, during the breakup, I was messing with
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: a barber that cuts my son's hair.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: You don't waste no damn time. You get right on
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: back in the relationship.
- 1:05:26Speaker 6: Because soon as you and your boyfriend broke up and
- 1:05:28Speaker 6: he got divorced, y'all moved in together. As soon as
- 1:05:31Speaker 6: y'all had argument and you left his house, I would
- 1:05:34Speaker 6: go down here and sleep with my son's barble. I
- 1:05:38Speaker 6: never expected anybody to find out, but the styl has
- 1:05:41Speaker 6: started gossipling. The rumor spread. Then I ended up getting
- 1:05:45Speaker 6: back with my man and we got married a year agoo,
- 1:05:50Speaker 6: on the basis of what what what was this marriage
- 1:05:56Speaker 6: for cheating?
- 1:05:58Speaker 1: I don't understand it? And just say days.
- 1:06:03Speaker 6: Days after the wind. He let me know he knew
- 1:06:06Speaker 6: all about me and the barber sneaking around. I admitted
- 1:06:09Speaker 6: it because I never want to lie to my husband.
- 1:06:12Speaker 6: Pumped the breaks right here where even.
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Morals come from all the time. Now, all of a sudden,
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: you want to be moral. I never want to lie
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: to my husband.
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: Wait a minute, since when and lion become worse than she?
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: Don't understand.
- 1:06:37Speaker 6: Let's talk about the importance, the significance and the value
- 1:06:43Speaker 6: of lying.
- 1:06:44Speaker 9: Don't they go together?
- 1:06:45Speaker 7: No?
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: What cheating and lying?
- 1:06:48Speaker 7: Oh?
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Absolutely one has nothing to do with the other.
- 1:06:55Speaker 9: I think if you cheat, you lie.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: If you cheat, No, that's not the case.
- 1:07:02Speaker 6: Lying is a separate skill set that requires lion holds
- 1:07:06Speaker 6: relationships together.
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: Lying leads to everlasting peace.
- 1:07:14Speaker 6: Lion is needed in order to maintain a level of serenity.
- 1:07:21Speaker 1: Don't you Dawn put cheating in jar me? How dare you?
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: But it felt so good about being honest? You finally
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: you're talking about honesty?
- 1:07:35Speaker 6: Felt good? Okay, But my husband always has to go
- 1:07:39Speaker 6: tip for tap with me, and I was afraid he
- 1:07:41Speaker 6: would seek revenge. That's what you did in the beginning
- 1:07:44Speaker 6: last week, he stayed out all night and he told
- 1:07:48Speaker 6: me he was with his ex wife. This marriage won't
- 1:07:51Speaker 6: last if he's always playing tip for tap to me?
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: What marriage? Put?
- 1:07:57Speaker 7: What? What?
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: What marriage are y'all talking about? I don't understand when
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: people get married. You remember these words y'all say at
- 1:08:04Speaker 6: the altar?
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: Come remember that?
- 1:08:07Speaker 6: So now I'm just trying to ask you. I'm asking
- 1:08:10Speaker 6: you now, which one of them words did you say?
- 1:08:15Speaker 6: Maybe y'all wrote your own values.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: That could happened, there could have been it and them
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: ain't worth for damn?
- 1:08:24Speaker 6: How can we remain faithful and stop playing these games?
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: Y'all can't.
- 1:08:31Speaker 6: Ain't neither one of y'all has a track record of
- 1:08:34Speaker 6: being faithful.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: Faithful is not what you do.
- 1:08:39Speaker 6: Y'all don't need to be married because as soon as
- 1:08:42Speaker 6: something go wrong, y'all go get somebody else. It ain't
- 1:08:45Speaker 6: even got to be nothing wrong. But he done already
- 1:08:48Speaker 6: told you since you cheat, I know you understand. I'm
- 1:08:52Speaker 6: over here with my ex wife.
- 1:08:54Speaker 9: It's kind of like an open marriage?
- 1:08:57Speaker 1: Is this one right here? Open? And she's do whatever
- 1:09:01Speaker 1: they want to do and come back to each other.
- 1:09:03Speaker 1: I don't know what this is, yes, but everybody, but
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: why is everybody surprised?
- 1:09:09Speaker 6: When they wouldn't would it wouldn't work when they get
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: to open news though, what is this all a gasp for?
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: Man? Please buy? Why y'all married? Why y'all write us?

- 1:10:50Speaker 9: What you got Junior?
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: Okay, well, here we go.
- 1:10:52Speaker 8: The results of the NBA All Star Weekend is some
- 1:10:55Speaker 8: issues off. They said that next year they want to
- 1:10:57Speaker 8: try USA versus international players because some of them had
- 1:11:02Speaker 8: a problem with the rising stars. People have been in
- 1:11:04Speaker 8: the league one of two years playing on Sunday in
- 1:11:06Speaker 8: the All Star Weekend because they feel like they haven't
- 1:11:08Speaker 8: earned it.
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: They didn't.
- 1:11:11Speaker 6: So, but I'm gonna tell you right now, if you
- 1:11:14Speaker 6: go up there and you play them international players the
- 1:11:16Speaker 6: way y'all playing, you're gonna get your draws toe off
- 1:11:21Speaker 6: because them international players gonna come over there to prove
- 1:11:23Speaker 6: a point. I don't think they're gonna do that because
- 1:11:26Speaker 6: now you're talking about the Olympics, and I don't think
- 1:11:29Speaker 6: they're gonna do that because I don't think that America
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: can sit here and watch these superstars not put forth
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: a massive effort and get their raws toe off against
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: their foreign players.
- 1:11:42Speaker 1: Okay, well, here we go. That's a statement.
- 1:11:46Speaker 8: Giannis Ja Morant Adam Levin could be a trio for
- 1:11:50Speaker 8: next year Slam Dunk Contest.
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: Matt mccluy is three time Slam Dunk champion.
- 1:11:55Speaker 8: This would actually be a great Slam Dunk Contest if
- 1:11:58Speaker 8: those three get in it, because all we want people.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: Do is just make the dunk. Just make it. Just
- 1:12:05Speaker 1: let's just stop seeing all the retries.

- 1:12:25Speaker 6: will get that little dude to run for his money?
- 1:12:27Speaker 6: It's a joh got in it. Yea, yeah, because joh
- 1:12:32Speaker 6: here on some next level. Yeah, you know they're not

- 1:12:37Speaker 6: revamp this All Star game because they're not gonna play
- 1:12:40Speaker 6: it ain't worth it. I didn't watch it again because
- 1:12:42Speaker 6: I'm not for this foolishness. That's why they stopped playing
- 1:12:46Speaker 6: the pro ball game in football, because you can't play
- 1:12:49Speaker 6: football half ass that crazy, you know, catch the ball,
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: tackling them, they're laying down anybody that's not football.

- 1:13:03Speaker 1: in the pro football we're playing flags football.
- 1:13:05Speaker 8: The greatest athletes, strong athlete in the world out here
- 1:13:07Speaker 8: with flags on seven on seven.
- 1:13:10Speaker 1: Well, you know, let them do that better than what

- 1:13:20Speaker 8: Carmelo Anthony as they are finalists for the NBA Hall

- 1:14:11Speaker 2: She said she didn't want to go through this alone.
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: Here's her question. Was it best to be honest with
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: them up front or was it selfish of her to
- 1:14:19Speaker 2: get them both so involved?
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: Selfish to get them both involved?
- 1:14:24Speaker 7: Yeah?
