• 2:12
Speaker 1: what radio show man? What you're doing with it? Trying
• 2:17
Speaker 1: to do the very very best I can with it?
• 2:19
Speaker 1: I really am. You know I get tired sometimes on
• 2:23
Speaker 1: my journey. I'm not gonna kid you. UM. Trying to
• 2:28
Speaker 1: make something about yourself is a task. Um. If you
• 2:34
Speaker 1: want to attempt to do something and and and understand
• 2:38
Speaker 1: going in that that. If the thing you're trying to
• 2:42
Speaker 1: do is to improve yourself, to better your position, to
• 2:47
Speaker 1: better your relationship, your family, anything, you're trying to be
• 2:52
Speaker 1: a better you. You're trying to make more money, you're
• 2:57
Speaker 1: trying to get it together. You're trying to change. If
• 3:01
Speaker 1: any of those things are in your hopes and dreams,
• 3:06
Speaker 1: know this right here, you are about to face some challenges.
• 3:12
Speaker 1: But you might as well go ahead anyway and face
• 3:15
Speaker 1: those challenges, because if you don't, you have a whole
• 3:19
Speaker 1: other set of challenges to face. You know, it's a
• 3:22
Speaker 1: it's a It's an amazing thing. Man, How people sit
• 3:26
Speaker 1: around and they watch other people strike out to become successful.
• 3:30
Speaker 1: And they sit in the stands watching these people play
• 3:33
Speaker 1: out these games, and they and they and they criticize,
• 3:37
Speaker 1: They boo, they laugh at their efforts and everything, and
• 3:41
Speaker 1: they talk about the fairies. He missed that game when
• 3:43
Speaker 1: it shot. Boy, he sucked. Man, he did this. He
• 3:46
Speaker 1: ain't worth that. I hear people who sit and stands
• 3:52
Speaker 1: who criticize people who are out there on the playing field. Now,
• 3:58
Speaker 1: when you're on the plane, feel you have a set
• 4:02
Speaker 1: of challenges in front of you, You're going to be
• 4:04
Speaker 1: open to criticism. You're going to be open to ridicule.
• 4:09
Speaker 1: You're going to be talked about when you don't know
• 4:12
Speaker 1: the people who are talking about you. Now, here's the
• 4:19
Speaker 1: upside to being the player on the field that's facing
• 4:23
Speaker 1: all the challenges to criticisms, the laughing, the joke, to
• 4:27
Speaker 1: being talked about. He has something going for him. This person, boy, woman, child, girl,
• 4:37
Speaker 1: man has an opportunity to win. They have an opportunity
• 4:44
Speaker 1: to win. And then the game of life. Just because
• 4:49
Speaker 1: you lose one of the games, or you lose one
• 4:52
Speaker 1: of the matches, it don't mean you've lost. You don't
• 4:56
Speaker 1: get put out. You keep playing. And when you're playing,
• 5:01
Speaker 1: here's the upside. You have the opportunity to win. And
• 5:05
Speaker 1: but guess what, You're gonna win some of the matches.
• 5:08
Speaker 1: You're gonna win some of the points. You're gonna make
• 5:10
Speaker 1: some of the dunks. You're gonna hit some of them
• 5:11
Speaker 1: over the wall. You're gonna hit some of them out
• 5:13
Speaker 1: the park. You're gonna score some goals. You will if
• 5:18
Speaker 1: you're playing the game. Here's the problem with the people
• 5:23
Speaker 1: who don't face the criticism, who nobody boos or cheers for,
• 5:28
Speaker 1: who sits in the stands and knows neither victory nor defeat.
• 5:36
Speaker 1: Those people, without realizing it, are facing a set of
• 5:41
Speaker 1: challenges also. And the challenges they're facing is how I'm
• 5:46
Speaker 1: gonna live with myself? What I'm gonna do now? What
• 5:53
Speaker 1: direction am I going in Where am I gonna live?
• 6:00
Speaker 1: Wonder what job will hire me? Wonder if I can
• 6:05
Speaker 1: get paid for criticizing? Oh woe is me? I can't
• 6:12
Speaker 1: find the purpose in my life. And man, I'm just
• 6:17
Speaker 1: waking up in a state of confusion. I don't know
• 6:19
Speaker 1: what to do. Now, let me ask you something which
• 6:23
Speaker 1: one of them said, of challenges you rather be faced with.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: Because if I'm on the flow playing, if I'm on
• 6:29
Speaker 1: the field playing, if I'm out on the court playing,
• 6:33
Speaker 1: then guess what I got a chance at winning? But
• 6:37
Speaker 1: guess what I'm doing every day while I'm playing. I'm strategizing.
• 6:41
Speaker 1: I'm waking up with a purpose. I'm waking up trying
• 6:44
Speaker 1: to come up with another angle. I'm in pursuit of
• 6:49
Speaker 1: a goal every single day. Versus the people in the
• 6:55
Speaker 1: stands who know neither victory nor defeat. Get in the game.
• 7:05
Speaker 1: Face the challenges. Better yourself, better your wife, better your children,
• 7:10
Speaker 1: better your condition, better your employment status, better your job,
• 7:13
Speaker 1: better your career. Take a shot. Come on, man, what
• 7:16
Speaker 1: you're waiting on? Because the alternative is to watch other
• 7:21
Speaker 1: people play the game? You know, and I just do
• 7:24
Speaker 1: Sometimes Sometimes I just I get Forbes magazine or Money magazine,
• 7:29
Speaker 1: or sometimes I still grab a copy of rob Report.
• 7:34
Speaker 1: I just flipped through it just to see. I used
• 7:36
Speaker 1: to get these this book called Unique Homes. Unique Homes
• 7:40
Speaker 1: is a magazine that just has a lot of extravagant
• 7:43
Speaker 1: houses that's on sale across the country, across the world.
• 7:47
Speaker 1: I used to just flip through. Man, let me just see, Man,
• 7:50
Speaker 1: what the people that's playing the game out there doing.
• 7:54
Speaker 1: Stop watching other people become successful when you could very
• 7:58
Speaker 1: easily be you if you make the decision. But when
• 8:01
Speaker 1: you make the decision to become successful, get ready for
• 8:05
Speaker 1: a series of challenges. I think it's more difficult not
• 8:09
Speaker 1: to accept the challenge. I think it's for me. This
• 8:13
Speaker 1: is just for me. It may not be the case
• 8:15
Speaker 1: for you. For me, I think it's far more difficult
• 8:17
Speaker 1: to wake up and just see how life gonna go today,
• 8:20
Speaker 1: because man, it could just deal you any kind of
• 8:22
Speaker 1: hand today. You understand I don't like you know, spades.
• 8:30
Speaker 1: Let's let's talk a card game, folks, down the game
• 8:32
Speaker 1: of spades. Really, man, it ain't a whole lot you
• 8:35
Speaker 1: can do if you don't get no spades. Really, it's
• 8:38
Speaker 1: a little couple of little strategies you've gotta do. But
• 8:41
Speaker 1: you can have all this age keen, queen, diamond all
• 8:43
Speaker 1: you want. But man, you ain't got no spades. They're
• 8:45
Speaker 1: cutting them. You're in trouble. Be it whist. Different game.
• 8:49
Speaker 1: You can create what's in your hand. You got dealt
• 8:53
Speaker 1: a hand too, But you can create a hand. You
• 8:56
Speaker 1: can call a trump. You can make diamonds you're spades.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: You can make hard to clubs your spades. That's what
• 9:03
Speaker 1: I'm saying. That's what it is. You can do something
• 9:04
Speaker 1: with it. It's a different game, man, you can strategize.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: I would rather have a say so in my life
• 9:10
Speaker 1: than to wake up every day and just see how
• 9:12
Speaker 1: it's going. I think it's more difficult to not accept
• 9:16
Speaker 1: the challenge to be something than it is to accept
• 9:19
Speaker 1: the challenge to be something. I think it's more difficult
• 9:22
Speaker 1: to sit around and not be nothing. I think it's
• 9:24
Speaker 1: harder to watch everybody's life going somewhere but mine. I
• 9:28
Speaker 1: think it would be very difficult for me to sit
• 9:30
Speaker 1: here and hear them talking about other people that never
• 9:33
Speaker 1: mentioned my name. I would be difficult for me to
• 9:35
Speaker 1: see everybody rise and getting promotions accept me. That would
• 9:39
Speaker 1: be difficult for me. It may not be for you,
• 9:42
Speaker 1: but for me it would be quite challenging. I would
• 9:44
Speaker 1: rather accept the challenge of making something out of my
• 9:48
Speaker 1: life than to sit there and criticize those and then
• 9:51
Speaker 1: watch and see how my life just may go. Okay,
• 9:55
Speaker 1: just a thought. Today you're listening, ladies and gentlemen, might
• 10:03
Speaker 1: have your undivided attention. Please. This is a Steve Harvey
• 10:06
Speaker 1: Morning Show today. I've decided to dedicate the morning show
• 10:14
Speaker 1: as I've done this before, but I think today we
• 10:17
Speaker 1: do we just do. Today is dedicated to the ignorant,
• 10:22
Speaker 1: to those people who spend portions of their lives saying
• 10:28
Speaker 1: ignorant things intentionally and sometimes unintentionally, but all designed for
• 10:35
Speaker 1: the uplift, levity and laughter of the masses. This is
• 10:41
Speaker 1: for the ignorant, Ladies and German one who is not ignorant.
• 10:45
Speaker 1: Charley Strawberry to yourselves, and yeah, hell y'all go watch

Speaker 1: than uncle. If you ever sat in the fire, you
• 11:05
Speaker 1: should be running out of the funerals. To go to right,
• 11:09
Speaker 1: that was ignorant. Wow, see right there, that was early ignorance.
• 11:15
Speaker 1: Wasn't even call for you don't put a time limit
• 11:18
Speaker 1: on it though, What do you mean time? I mean
• 11:22
Speaker 1: you didn't say when it can start or anything. He
• 11:24
Speaker 1: just did it. No, that's why. That's why I appreciate it. Huh,
• 11:28
Speaker 1: that's you're timing your side. Yes, sir, I do not
• 11:31
Speaker 1: think before I talk because I want to be just
• 11:33
Speaker 1: as surprised everybody else. Hello, stupid, wow, wow, say something.
• 11:41
Speaker 1: I want to be just as surprised everybody ready for
• 11:44
Speaker 1: my first ignorance statement on the day. Come on, Come on?
• 11:47
Speaker 1: Just because you darker than me, don't mean you blacker
• 11:50
Speaker 1: than me? Whoa? I like him exactly deep. You still
• 11:57
Speaker 1: ain't blacketed me, No way out match discount. Good morning everyone?
• 12:09
Speaker 1: Good morning? Yeah, well, good morning. What's happening now? Every
• 12:14
Speaker 1: random you know this is I don't know if may
• 12:19
Speaker 1: or may not elicit an ignorant answer, but I usually
• 12:24
Speaker 1: ask you this every fall, and I didn't yesterday about
• 12:27
Speaker 1: your um, I know how you love the fall and

Speaker 1: I've been out of Chicago for two years and sold
• 12:44
Speaker 1: my summer vacations. When I buy my fall wardrobe, I
• 12:47
Speaker 1: ain't buying. No, I ain't bout no coach or nothing,
• 12:52
Speaker 1: because I was celebrating being out of the vortex. Yes

Speaker 1: blow the whist up. You know, Tommy, I tried to

Speaker 1: the Charlotte community had already raised. A woman named Sonja,
• 30:09
Speaker 1: who was a key figure in raising the million dollars
• 30:12
Speaker 1: before Oprah's match donation, was too excited. She ran on

Speaker 1: she's trending on CNN. My whole family, we're cracking up.
• 30:58
Speaker 1: She's good though, she tripped, but she's okay. She got

• 31:57
Speaker 1: He received his start in the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
• 32:00
Speaker 1: His friends carry Washington Interests, ELBA, they were all there
• 32:03
Speaker 1: to support him. Tyler thanked all of his supporters and
• 32:06
Speaker 1: posted on Instagram his mother would have been proud. Yeah
• 32:12
Speaker 1: a moment. Honestly, I thought he already had one. Honest
• 32:18
Speaker 1: to God, I did. No, that was mine too, well.
• 32:22
Speaker 1: I was there for yours, Steve. Yes, there's about the
• 32:27
Speaker 1: only thing I've done before Tylers. Yeah. But congratulations to Tyler.
• 32:36
Speaker 1: So desert because this weekend, on top of that, he's
• 32:39
Speaker 1: doing his big studio grand opening and reception. Are you
• 32:43
Speaker 1: going on? No, I'm speaking in Jamaica this weekend, so
• 32:47
Speaker 1: I won't be there. Oh look at you being all
• 32:50
Speaker 1: international again. You better look at God now. Oh yeah,
• 32:56
Speaker 1: you know you better look at what God. Look at him?
• 33:05
Speaker 1: Feel feel like preciate it. But we out of time. Yeah,
• 33:09
Speaker 1: so preach the introduction to the headline. Ladies and gentlemen,
• 33:14
Speaker 1: fi fu miss ain't trip. Well, everybody, this is a
• 33:22
Speaker 1: trip with the news. President Trump is now calling the
• 33:24
Speaker 1: House impeachment inquiry into doing his doings of his particular
• 33:28
Speaker 1: administration a coop. The White former Dallas cop accused of
• 33:32
Speaker 1: murdering her black upstairs neighbor after accidentally getting into his apartment.
• 33:36
Speaker 1: She's been found guilty. The jury has found amber Gager
• 33:38
Speaker 1: guilty of a lesser could have found amber Geger guilty
• 33:42
Speaker 1: of a lesser charge of manslaughter, but they didn't. The
• 33:44
Speaker 1: panel apparently didn't believe the defense's argument that Gaga was
• 33:47
Speaker 1: basically standing her ground and fatally shooting botham Jean, since
• 33:51
Speaker 1: Gaga was in Jee's apartment, not the other way around.
• 33:54
Speaker 1: Amber Gager now faces between five and one hundred years
• 33:57
Speaker 1: in prison when sentenced. Attorney Benjamin and Crump, one of
• 34:00
Speaker 1: the lawyers who represented the victim in botham Jean's family,
• 34:03
Speaker 1: says the jury's thoughtful verdict sets a powerful precedent for
• 34:06
Speaker 1: future cases, telling law enforcement officers they cannot hide behind
• 34:10
Speaker 1: a badge, but will instead face justice for their wrongful actions. Again,
• 34:14
Speaker 1: Ambergager found guilty of murder, non manslaughter. The now former
• 34:18
Speaker 1: US Congressman Chris Collins pled guilty yesterday to various charges
• 34:21
Speaker 1: involving inside of trading. Collins told the judge that he
• 34:23
Speaker 1: regretted his actions and that he realized that his behavior
• 34:27
Speaker 1: was not that of a model citizen, an assessment that
• 34:29
Speaker 1: US Attorney Jeffrey Burman totally agrees with. By virtue of
• 34:32
Speaker 1: his position, Collins helped write the laws of this country,
• 34:35
Speaker 1: yet acted as if the law didn't apply to him.
• 34:38
Speaker 1: Chris Collins, a Republican represented parts of western New York,
• 34:41
Speaker 1: was the first GOP representative to announce support for Donald Trump.
• 34:45
Speaker 1: A federal judge in Boston has ruled at Harvard University's
• 34:47
Speaker 1: admission policy does not discriminate against Asians. Asian Americans have
• 34:51
Speaker 1: brought a suit. However, the judge upheld Harvard's race conscious admissions,
• 34:55
Speaker 1: saying that while the system not perfect, that the court
• 34:58
Speaker 1: is not prepared to dismantle a fine program just because
• 35:00
Speaker 1: it could be better. The plaintiffs say they're going to appeal.
• 35:03
Speaker 1: This one looks like enough is enough. Prince Harry forcefully
• 35:06
Speaker 1: coming to the defense of his wife, Megan Marco. The
• 35:09
Speaker 1: Princes issued a public letter staying that he's taking legal
• 35:12
Speaker 1: action against the publishers of The Daily Mail. The Daily
• 35:15
Speaker 1: Mail apparently released one of the couple's private letters, which
• 35:18
Speaker 1: the Prince says it violates the Data Protection Act of
• 35:20
Speaker 1: twenty eighteen. Is no secret the British press have consistently
• 35:24
Speaker 1: demonized the Duchess of Sussex for every little thing, down
• 35:27
Speaker 1: to even the way she holds her son. And the
• 35:29
Speaker 1: Prince says, the rude way that they've been treating her
• 35:32
Speaker 1: reminds him of how they treated his mother, and he
• 35:34
Speaker 1: said he'd lost his mother. We've had a lot of
• 35:37
Speaker 1: sad news out of the world of entertainment lately. Unfortunate
• 35:39
Speaker 1: is now worth The Jamaican reggae artists and actor Louis
• 35:42
Speaker 1: Rankin has been killed in a traffic accident in Ontario, Canada.
• 35:45
Speaker 1: Louis Rankin appeared in a lot of films, including Belly,
• 35:48
Speaker 1: where he called himself the original Dan Dada used to
• 35:51
Speaker 1: get there be opportunity and I see it. So we'll
• 36:02
Speaker 1: come to JOm me a cop Shoder. We're the reburn
• 36:05
Speaker 1: of Kingstone's Firemans. Louis Rankin was fifty five years old.
• 36:09
Speaker 1: Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening show,
• 36:15
Speaker 1: all right, we all watched this pretty closely, the trial
• 36:18
Speaker 1: of Amber Geiger. She was convicted of murder for killing
• 36:21
Speaker 1: both of them. Jean She was fired Dallas police officer.
• 36:25
Speaker 1: She now faces five to ninety nine years of life
• 36:29
Speaker 1: in prison as punishment because you know she was found
• 36:35
Speaker 1: guilty of murder in the trial. Yeah, in her trial,
• 36:40
Speaker 1: who decides the years? Who does that? Judge? The judge? Yeah,
• 36:43
Speaker 1: always a judge. Yeah, we haven't been in the court.
• 36:46
Speaker 1: And have I ever been to court? Tommy? He tom
• 36:49
Speaker 1: Who decides the years? Yeah? So Geiger again faces five
• 36:55
Speaker 1: to ninety nine years of life in prison as a
• 36:57
Speaker 1: punishment phase of her trial begins, and then Texas the
• 37:00
Speaker 1: charge is not eligible for parole. Take a listen, Yes,
• 37:06
Speaker 1: what happened she walk into the wrong sale when she
• 37:08
Speaker 1: get in there. What happened in well, I was asking,
• 37:12
Speaker 1: you can't just walking Nobody say let me, She'd be
• 37:16
Speaker 1: walking in the wrong places all time. Okay, I didn't
• 37:20
Speaker 1: get it. Get your hands on this commissary. Wow uh anyway, um,
• 37:36
Speaker 1: I was gonna say, yeah, take a listen. As a
• 37:38
Speaker 1: judge read the verdict, the jury having reached the verdict,
• 37:42
Speaker 1: miss Geiger and your team, would you please stand We
• 37:46
Speaker 1: the jury unanimously find the defendant Amber Geiger guilty of
• 37:51
Speaker 1: murder as charged in the indictment no outburst, and it
• 37:56
Speaker 1: is signed by the presiding juror, who is juror number eleven,
• 38:01
Speaker 1: mister Rogers, would you like to have the jury poll?
• 38:04
Speaker 1: All right, you may be seated. Miss Geiger, I like yeah.
• 38:11
Speaker 1: Both of Jean's mother raised her hand and cheers broke
• 38:14
Speaker 1: out in the hallway outside of the courtroom. It took
• 38:17
Speaker 1: the jury five hours to deliberate. Finally some justice for
• 38:21
Speaker 1: both of Jean. The prosecution said that murder and not
• 38:24
Speaker 1: manslaughter was the right charge because Geiger didn't accidentally discharge
• 38:29
Speaker 1: her weapon, she intended to shoot mister Jehan, and the
• 38:33
Speaker 1: jury agreed. You know, this man is still dead. Yeah,
• 38:38
  Speaker 1: but it's it's a bit of a relief to have
• 38:42
Speaker 1: a jury see the same thing that we see. That
• 38:46
Speaker 1: appears to be rather obvious. And when a deliberation is
• 38:50
Speaker 1: five hours in a murder trial, that's somebody who saw
• 38:54
Speaker 1: the facts as they were. Yes, and it's very simple,
• 38:57
Speaker 1: and to all of us it seemed cut and dry anyway.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: Any other verdict for us would have been a disaster.
• 39:03
Speaker 1: So justice is when you get what you deserve. Coming
• 39:07
Speaker 1: up in thirty four minutes after the hour, we're gonna
• 39:09
Speaker 1: talk more about justice for both of Jehan. Right after this,
• 39:13
Speaker 1: you're listening to Steven Show all right, so Steve. After
• 39:18
Speaker 1: Amber Geiger was found guilty of murderer and the prosecution
• 39:21
Speaker 1: and civil attorneys said that the jury made history. Yesterday,
• 39:25
Speaker 1: attorney Benjamin Crump, also a friend to the show, said
• 39:28
Speaker 1: the conviction of Amber Geiger is a victory for other
• 39:31
Speaker 1: unarmed people of color color who were killed by police.
• 39:35
Speaker 1: Take a listen. This verdict is for trey ViOn Martin.
• 39:39
Speaker 1: It's for Michael Brown. It's for Sandra Bland, It's for
• 39:43
Speaker 1: Jamil Rice. It's for Eric Gardner. It's for Antoine Rolls,
• 39:50
Speaker 1: Jamail Robots from E. J. Braffett, for Stefan Claude, Jeffrey Dean,
• 39:57
Speaker 1: jene Vise Dalls, for Pamela Turner, for so many unarmed
• 40:02
Speaker 1: black and brown human beings all across America. This verdict today,
• 40:08
Speaker 1: it's for them. Everybody can raise their hand. This verdict
• 40:13
Speaker 1: is for them. This verdict is for them. It's a
• 40:18
Speaker 1: long list, man, You know that list. It is shocking
• 40:25
Speaker 1: when you hear these names of the lives of black
• 40:29
Speaker 1: and brown people who die at the hands of police officers,
• 40:33
Speaker 1: and nothing happens. Nothing right, Listen, man, nothing happens on
• 40:42
Speaker 1: the wrist for the police. It's unthinkable in this country
• 40:47
Speaker 1: we live in that a young white person or a
• 40:53
Speaker 1: white person period gets murdered and nothing happens to the murderer.
• 40:59
Speaker 1: It's it's unthinkable if you can't even if you murder someone,
• 41:08
Speaker 1: something has to happen to you for doing it. It's
• 41:13
Speaker 1: unthinkable in this country that that can happen. But to
• 41:16
Speaker 1: black and brown people, it happens far too often. Man,
• 41:21
Speaker 1: It's just far too often, you know. And this is
• 41:24
Speaker 1: like listening to that list for me is like a
• 41:26
Speaker 1: bitter sweet because I'm so glad this woman was convicted.
• 41:30
Speaker 1: But the sad part is, man, when you hear these names,
• 41:32
Speaker 1: you go damn, yeah, damn, and you just keep saying damn, yeh, damn, man,
• 41:39
Speaker 1: I forgot damn. Hold up, damn. And let me tell
• 41:43
Speaker 1: you something. These ain't no names, not in your lifetime.
• 41:49
Speaker 1: They didn't go back to Immitill and Mega evers, and
• 41:53
Speaker 1: they didn't go back down that list. They bought it
• 41:57
Speaker 1: up to modern day. Every body knew these names. You
• 42:02
Speaker 1: know how long it's been going on? Have any idea
• 42:05
Speaker 1: how long it's been going on? Man? And do you
• 42:08
Speaker 1: know how long that it's finally getting natural attention because
• 42:11
Speaker 1: of cyberspace. Do you know how many countless people have
• 42:15
Speaker 1: died at the hands of brutality simply because it could
• 42:19
Speaker 1: get pushed under the rug and hidden because what no Internet?
• 42:23
Speaker 1: What no phone cameras? Man, you have any idea? So
• 42:28
Speaker 1: when you hear these names, y'all, it ain't just them names,
• 42:32
Speaker 1: it's thousands of names. It's like that museum they created
• 42:37
Speaker 1: with all them nooses in it. It's thousands, brother, it's
• 42:42
Speaker 1: it's it's thousands. This is this is you know what, man,
• 42:47
Speaker 1: it's kind of crazy because when I was in Ghana
• 42:50
Speaker 1: and I went to the slave castles, which is just
• 42:53
Speaker 1: beyond emotion, and it's just beyond you know what I
• 42:57
Speaker 1: learned in the slave castles. That's what I want you
• 43:00
Speaker 1: all to understand how difficult it was for African Americans.
• 43:06
Speaker 1: Twenty the guy the tour guide taught us twenty million
• 43:11
Speaker 1: slaves departed from the coast of Africa over a four
• 43:16
Speaker 1: hundred year period. Do you know what it ain't but
• 43:18
Speaker 1: thirty five million black people in this country? Twenty million?
• 43:22
Speaker 1: That number is staggering million millions slaves. According to the
• 43:29
Speaker 1: slave rolls at the at the yards, at the castles.
• 43:34
Speaker 1: We were in twenty million slaves left the continent of Africa.
• 43:38
Speaker 1: It's thirty five million black people in this country. Yeah,
• 43:43
Speaker 1: that's staggering. Twenty millions, and in four hundred years then
• 43:46
Speaker 1: flipped it into thirty five million. Hold up, y'all, m wow, wow,
• 43:54
Speaker 1: All right, Well, you could post your comments on this
• 43:58
Speaker 1: story to Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Yeah,
• 44:03
Speaker 1: that's who you want to call. Steve coming up next,
• 44:05
Speaker 1: we'll switch gears. Nephew Tommy's prank phone call right after this.
• 44:09
Speaker 1: You're listening to Steve Morning Show coming up at the
• 44:14
Speaker 1: top of the hour, right about four minutes after. It's
• 44:16
Speaker 1: my strawberry letter for today subject he keeps disrespecting my girl.
• 44:21
Speaker 1: Right now though, the nephew is here with today's prank
• 44:25
Speaker 1: phone call. What you got for us today? Should win?
• 44:28
Speaker 1: The last time y'all went to one? You know you
• 44:30
Speaker 1: go to one every nine? Then high school reunion? Oh yeah,
• 44:35
Speaker 1: high school. We're the last time you've been to one
• 44:37
Speaker 1: high school reunion? What did you stop it? I stopped
• 44:40
Speaker 1: at the twenty field, went that was it? Nobody wild?
• 44:47
Speaker 1: I said, Oh, ain't no sense and showing up for
• 44:49
Speaker 1: thirty everybody looks different. Yeah, Oh, you're gonna hang. You
• 44:54
  Speaker 1: don't know me, I don't, don't, don't tom Tommy, did
• 44:59
Speaker 1: you go? I went to twenty five? Oh? Man? Yeah,
• 45:06
Speaker 1: it's definitely that was rough. That was rough that I mean,
• 45:09
Speaker 1: I cannot give y'all a clue on attending twenty five
• 45:14
Speaker 1: and over reunions. If you ain't, if you if you
• 45:21
Speaker 1: at the reunion and you ain't shocked, it's because your
• 45:26
Speaker 1: ass is doing the shock. That's perfect. Perfect if you
• 45:38
Speaker 1: ain't shocked. Dog. If you're just walking around, man, ain't
• 45:42
Speaker 1: just nice meeting people. You're grinning the whole time. But
• 45:47
Speaker 1: what are people saying that? What are they whispering? Steve?
• 45:51
Speaker 1: Oh shit, minute, nod. That's that's there. Ain't noname? Man?
• 46:12
Speaker 1: All right? Class high school year? You come on? Hello, Hello,
• 46:17
Speaker 1: I'm trying to read Sylvia. Please, she's not available. This
• 46:20
Speaker 1: is a husband, Andre. Can I help you? Andre? How
• 46:22
Speaker 1: you doing? Man? My name is Ken, I'm um. I
• 46:24
Speaker 1: graduated with Sylvia. We're having a big twenty five year
• 46:27
Speaker 1: class reunion this year. Okay for nineteen eighty five. We
• 46:31
Speaker 1: should be homesome. I don't know, man, she actually shopping
• 46:35
Speaker 1: right now? Okay? Okay? Cool? Well, Um, Hey, listen, that's
• 46:37
Speaker 1: you heard about. Does she know about the reunion or
• 46:40
Speaker 1: or do you know anything about that? Uh? Not? To
• 46:43
Speaker 1: my knowledge, that's the first I ever heard about a reunion. Okay,
• 46:46
  Speaker 1: well there it's a reunion. Man. She's actually I think
• 46:49
Speaker 1: signed up for it. I'm not sure that's why I
• 46:50
Speaker 1: asked you, but I think I saw her name was
• 46:52
Speaker 1: that she was signed up to. Come. Okay, let me
• 46:56
Speaker 1: ask you this when when when exactly did you graduate?
• 46:58
Speaker 1: I graduated and eighty two, okay, eighty two, okay, you
• 47:02
Speaker 1: a little bit before us. Then all right, well listen, um,
• 47:05
Speaker 1: let let me let me go ahead and say this
• 47:07
Speaker 1: out and drink. Uh. Actually, in high school, man, Sylvia
• 47:11
Speaker 1: was mine, you know, my high school sweetheart, and we
• 47:15
Speaker 1: you know, we dated from ninth grade to freshman year
• 47:17
Speaker 1: in college. And I wanted to see, if you know,
• 47:20
Speaker 1: if it was cool with you, you know, if you
• 47:23
Speaker 1: didn't mind me escorting her to the twenty five year
• 47:25
Speaker 1: class reunion doing what. Let me say that again, Like
• 47:30
Speaker 1: I say, man, my name is Ken. I got that part.
• 47:34
Speaker 1: I'm trying to make sure I heard right what you said. Yeah,
• 47:36
  Speaker 1: I said that I I, Sylvia and I were high
• 47:39
Speaker 1: school sweethearts. Man, I was you know, from ninth grade
• 47:42
Speaker 1: all the way to freshman year in college. We dated

Speaker 1: mind if I escorted her to the twenty five year

• 48:09
Speaker 1: ninth grade all the way to month to press me
• 48:11
Speaker 1: year in college. You know, so that was that was
• 48:14
Speaker 1: in the past. But hood, I'm sorry to let you
• 48:16
Speaker 1: know that, but that was in the past. I'm the president,
• 48:18
Speaker 1: So I don't eve much think she's gonna be interested
• 48:20
Speaker 1: in trying to go know where was you in away? Hey? Man,
• 48:22
Speaker 1: what I'm trying to explain to you there's something innocent though. Man,
• 48:25
Speaker 1: this is me taking her to you know, you know,
• 48:26
Speaker 1: I thought she might get a kick out of us
• 48:28
Speaker 1: going together. You know, I don't know what's wrong with you.
• 48:31
Speaker 1: I'd have told you if it's not going to one here,
• 48:33
Speaker 1: put the phone on the other one. She ain't going nowhere.

• 48:38
Speaker 1: Hey man, you ain't gotta You ain't gonna talk to

• 48:54
Speaker 1: What kind of damned food? Got to call somebody ask
• 48:56

• 49:24
Speaker 1: apologize for calling. Let me get off the phone and
• 49:26
Speaker 1: just called Sylvia. See the head and do that. You
• 49:31
Speaker 1: go right on the head and call her. Well, that's
• 49:33
Speaker 1: what I'm gonna do. Because Sylvia can make a decision
• 49:35
Speaker 1: on what Sylvia want to do. I can tell you
• 49:37
Speaker 1: what thing Sylvia do, what Sylvia want to do. But Sylvia,
• 49:40
Speaker 1: it ain't interested in you. Man. This is not about
• 49:43
Speaker 1: being interested in me. Man. This is innocent. This is
• 49:45
Speaker 1: just me and Hunt going to the damn class reunion together. Man.
• 49:49
Speaker 1: And it ain't like we're fenn to go do something together. Man,
• 49:52
Speaker 1: on a physical level. We're just going to have phone
• 49:57
Speaker 1: my cool. I'm trying to tell you that already told no. Okay,
• 50:01
Speaker 1: if you can't get no, I don't know what you
• 50:03
Speaker 1: can't get. But you ain't getting Sylvia. I tell you
• 50:06
Speaker 1: that much. She's not going to no reunion. You know what, man,
• 50:09
Speaker 1: I'm through talking to you. I'm just gonna call Silvia
• 50:11
Speaker 1: because that's what I should have done in the first place,
• 50:13

Speaker 1: Dear Steve and Shirley. I am a young man who
• 53:56
Speaker 1: is in love with my girlfriend and I feel a
• 53:59
Speaker 1: need to protect her. We've been dating for two years
• 54:02
Speaker 1: and I've met her family and I love them all,
• 54:05
Speaker 1: except for her father. I don't know where to begin.
• 54:09
Speaker 1: Her father argues with everyone in the family and he
• 54:12
Speaker 1: has started a few fistfights with the other men in
• 54:15
Speaker 1: the family. He smokes weed constantly, and he does it
• 54:18
Speaker 1: in front of the family. My girlfriend told me that
• 54:21
Speaker 1: since she was a little girl, her dad has talked
• 54:24
Speaker 1: down to her and was very strict and mean. This
• 54:28
Speaker 1: was all before I met her, of course, and he
• 54:30
Speaker 1: has never done it around me. As her man. I
• 54:34
Speaker 1: swore on everything to protect her and I told her
• 54:37
Speaker 1: that if he ever talks to her crazy in my presence,
• 54:40
Speaker 1: I will handle it. What her dad doesn't know is
• 54:44
Speaker 1: that I'm a fourth degree black belt in martial arts
• 54:47
Speaker 1: and I'm licensed to protect other people. Over the weekend,
• 54:51
Speaker 1: my girl went to visit her family without me, and
• 54:54
Speaker 1: afterwards she came to my house. She said her dad
• 54:57
Speaker 1: was high as usual and he held at her a
• 55:00
Speaker 1: few times, so she left. Now I feel like I'm
• 55:04
Speaker 1: failing her as her boyfriend and as a man by
• 55:07
Speaker 1: not being there for her. I could knock this dude's
• 55:11
Speaker 1: lights out, But my girl says she will stop sharing
• 55:14
Speaker 1: things with me if I cannot control my temper. She's
• 55:18
Speaker 1: afraid that I may end up in jail for hurting
• 55:21
Speaker 1: her father. I am working really hard to get enough
• 55:24
Speaker 1: money to propose to her, and once she's my wife,
• 55:28
Speaker 1: I really won't be able to tolerate any disrespect from him.
• 55:31
Speaker 1: So should I try talking to her dad now, man
• 55:34
Speaker 1: to man or should I just surprise him and body
• 55:37
Speaker 1: slam him if he gets out of line again? Okay,
• 55:42
Speaker 1: I got this as your girl, and you want to
• 55:44
Speaker 1: protect her and all of that, But I mean, are
• 55:46
Speaker 1: you crazy? For real? You can't get into any kind
• 55:50
Speaker 1: of altercation with this girl's father. I mean, she doesn't
• 55:53
Speaker 1: even want you to. She's just telling you out of
• 55:56
Speaker 1: her own frustration and what she's been going through. She
• 55:58
Speaker 1: doesn't you know, she doesn't like the way that her
• 56:01
Speaker 1: dad treats her. But you know, like her most recent
• 56:05
Speaker 1: family visit, when she went over to visit her family,
• 56:08
Speaker 1: when he gets going and starts acting crazy, she just
• 56:11
Speaker 1: walks away. I mean, I know you're her man. You
• 56:14
Speaker 1: don't like any of it. I get that. I get that.
• 56:17
Speaker 1: But he hasn't put his hands on you. He hasn't
• 56:19
Speaker 1: put his hands on his own daughter. He talks to
• 56:22
Speaker 1: her crazy. But so you know, this talk of you
• 56:26
Speaker 1: knocking his lights out because you have a fourth degree
• 56:30
Speaker 1: black belt black belt and all of this, well, you know,
• 56:33
Speaker 1: I just think it's a bit premature knocking his lights out.
• 56:37
Speaker 1: He hasn't done anything yet, you know. I mean, you
• 56:41
Speaker 1: can let her know, of course, that she has your
• 56:44
Speaker 1: protection and all of that, and she doesn't have to worry.
• 56:47
Speaker 1: But all he does is get high and talk to
• 56:50
Speaker 1: her crazy, and she doesn't have to be around that.
• 56:52
Speaker 1: You're both grown. She can walk away. He hasn't put
• 56:54
Speaker 1: her hands his hands on her, like I said, he
• 56:56
Speaker 1: hasn't put his hands on you. You know, is her
• 57:00
Speaker 1: father out of order? Most definitely? Should he be doing this,
• 57:04
Speaker 1: Absolutely not. But to you, I say stand down for now,
• 57:08
Speaker 1: because you know you guys can still just walk away
• 57:11
Speaker 1: from this situation. You don't have to be around her dad.
• 57:15
Speaker 1: Steve Well, I agree with you, Shirley, because young man,
• 57:22
Speaker 1: he keeps disrespecting my girl. As the topic of the letter.
• 57:25
Speaker 1: Now you're young, you're in love with your girl and
• 57:28
Speaker 1: you feel a need to protect her. I take my
• 57:31
Speaker 1: hat off to you. Congratulations. That's what you're supposed to
• 57:34
Speaker 1: be towards a woman. Now you've been dating it for
• 57:37
Speaker 1: a couple of years and you've met the family and
• 57:39
Speaker 1: everybody you get along. You're like everybody, all except her father,
• 57:45
Speaker 1: because you say he argues with everybody in the family
• 57:50
Speaker 1: and has started a few fist fights with the other
• 57:53
Speaker 1: men in the family. He smokes we constantly, and he
• 57:57
Speaker 1: doesn't in front of the family. And the girl said
• 58:01
Speaker 1: that she since she was a little girl, her dad
• 58:03
Speaker 1: didn't talked down to her and very strict in me. Okay,
• 58:07
Speaker 1: listen to me. That happens in some families sometimes you
• 58:11
Speaker 1: gotta all over strict father, talking crazy and all this hell.
• 58:16
Speaker 1: But like Shirley said, he not beating this girl. Now,
• 58:20
Speaker 1: does he have a problem. Yeah, he got a real problem.
• 58:23
Speaker 1: He got an angle management problem. He got a dope problem.
• 58:28
Speaker 1: You know, y'all gonna say smoking weed ain't a dope problem,
• 58:30
Speaker 1: but it is when you can't come when you handling
• 58:32
Speaker 1: it like this. Everybody don't weed don't affect everybody saying well,
• 58:36
Speaker 1: this is one of the people that need a quick
• 58:38
Speaker 1: smoking weed. This one of them. I know people that
• 58:41
Speaker 1: should not be drinking socially or no other damn weeds.
• 58:46
Speaker 1: It just don't affect everybody the same way. Now listen
• 58:50
Speaker 1: to me. You said that he has started a few
• 58:54
Speaker 1: fist fights with the other men in the family. Now
• 58:58
Speaker 1: here's your chance. You got this foth degree black belt.
• 59:03
Speaker 1: Now if after you married this girl like you say
• 59:06
Speaker 1: you want to, and you say you're not gonna take
• 59:09
Speaker 1: no disrespect. Now when you get into when you become
• 59:11
Speaker 1: one of the men in the family, and then he
• 59:16
Speaker 1: started a fight with you, this could be the time
• 59:19
Speaker 1: to end all this because a good ask whopper stops
• 59:24
Speaker 1: a lot of argument talking bad A good one. Maruncle
• 59:32
Speaker 1: Rayford got his ass whoops so good one time we
• 59:36
Speaker 1: an't know had him on trouble out, Uncle Rayford. But
• 59:40
Speaker 1: to the ass whipper to do it now, just by
• 59:43
Speaker 1: your time get into family married a girl and asked
• 59:46
Speaker 1: whopper could happen any day now, But right now, Shirley's
• 59:52
Speaker 1: right settled down. I'll come back. I'll give you the rest,
• 59:55
Speaker 1: all right. See coming up, we'll have part two of
• 59:58
Speaker 1: your response twenty three after the hour. Today's subject he
• 1:00:02
Speaker 1: keeps disrespecting my girl. We'll get back into it right
• 1:00:05
Speaker 1: after this. You're listening, all right, Come on, Steve, let's
• 1:00:11
Speaker 1: recap today's Strawberry Letters. Subject he keeps disrespecting my girl.
• 1:00:15
Speaker 1: All right, dude, listen, young, you love with this girl.
• 1:00:18
Speaker 1: You want to protect her. You've been dating um. You
• 1:00:22
Speaker 1: love a family scepter father, your father August with everybody
• 1:00:26
Speaker 1: in the family, talks bad to her. He smoked weed constantly.
• 1:00:30
Speaker 1: He then started some fights. Now I've told you in
• 1:00:33
Speaker 1: this letter, I think since you want to marry this girl,
• 1:00:37
Speaker 1: the key did this whole letter. He has started a
• 1:00:40
Speaker 1: few fist fights with the other men in the family.
• 1:00:45
Speaker 1: Nayless letter, We've discovered that you are fourth degree black
• 1:00:48
Speaker 1: belt in martial arts, and I'm licensed to protect other people. Well,
• 1:00:54
Speaker 1: this could be just the opening that the family. This
• 1:00:58
Speaker 1: is dope. This is the gift that you can give
• 1:01:01
Speaker 1: to the family. This could be a gift that keeps
• 1:01:05
Speaker 1: on giving. Don't tell nobody you got this damn black day.
• 1:01:11
Speaker 1: Keep that to yourself. Over there after family, everybody laughing,
• 1:01:15
Speaker 1: he coming in smoking. You look at that punk and
• 1:01:21
Speaker 1: then you say, excuse me, are you freeing to me,
• 1:01:25
Speaker 1: mister Johnson. Yeah, I'm talking to you. You look young,
• 1:01:29
Speaker 1: young ass, punk said mister mister Johnson. No disrespect, but
• 1:01:35
Speaker 1: I really don't want you disrespecting me or my wife anymore.
• 1:01:39
Speaker 1: Don't tell me this is my daughter I disrespect if
• 1:01:42
Speaker 1: I want to. Well, now, while I'm here, I knocked
• 1:01:46
Speaker 1: your ass out. I wish you would. Your next statement
• 1:01:50
Speaker 1: is I wish you would. That usually provokes high people.
• 1:01:55
Speaker 1: High people like granting wishes. I don't know why they
• 1:01:58
Speaker 1: all think their genius, but as soon as the person
• 1:02:01
Speaker 1: get high, they take on the genie mentalityity. You know,
• 1:02:07
  Speaker 1: you'd say I wish you wasn't here what I'm here?
• 1:02:11
Speaker 1: So now you say I wish you would. He gonna
• 1:02:14
Speaker 1: swing on you, so does he swan let all foe
• 1:02:19
Speaker 1: degrees out on his ass at once. But I mean,
• 1:02:25
Speaker 1: do it quick. You can't pound on him. You just
• 1:02:28
Speaker 1: got it's gotta be real quick. Fuck, it's gotta go
• 1:02:32
Speaker 1: like that, and didn't go back to talk. Yeah, and
• 1:02:35
Speaker 1: then just gonna look now, mister Johnson, I didn't want
• 1:02:37
Speaker 1: to do that, but you came up on me and
• 1:02:38
Speaker 1: you scared it, and then everybody in fairly gonna be man.
• 1:02:42
Speaker 1: He'd knocking ass man, man knock with assha. Then the
• 1:02:55
Speaker 1: grandmamma be over there. That's good. Falls about time somebody
• 1:03:00
Speaker 1: knocked him out. I liked Lord Dar Savior. He took
• 1:03:04
Speaker 1: lood Dar Savior to come to Dar Savior. Wow, that's
• 1:03:08
Speaker 1: Spanish for savior of people, Dar Savior. And that's your chance. Now,
• 1:03:15
Speaker 1: what didn't happened to you is over the weekend, your
• 1:03:18
Speaker 1: girl want to visit her family. And afterwards she came
• 1:03:21
Speaker 1: in your house and she said her dad was high
• 1:03:23
Speaker 1: as usually yelled at a few times, so she left.
• 1:03:26
Speaker 1: Now I feel like I'm feeling her as a boyfriend,
• 1:03:29
Speaker 1: as a man by that being there for her. That's
• 1:03:32
Speaker 1: a good feeling. Man. You should always maintain these feelings.
• 1:03:36
Speaker 1: I could knock this dude's lights out, But my girl
• 1:03:38
Speaker 1: says she will stop sharing things with me if I
• 1:03:42
Speaker 1: cannot control my temple because she everybody know pretty much
• 1:03:46
Speaker 1: he pretty much harmless, really though. Now you're not from
• 1:03:50
Speaker 1: no family like that, but his families like that. And
• 1:03:53
Speaker 1: you gotta respect her wishes because the man ain't put
• 1:03:56
Speaker 1: his hand on her, and he just yelling at her
• 1:03:58
Speaker 1: because here's something wrong with him. And now it's two
• 1:04:02
Speaker 1: ways to fix him with three ways therapy. Christ And
• 1:04:10
Speaker 1: I asked, whooping. Now, a lot of people don't go
• 1:04:15
Speaker 1: to church, so you can get this last one quicker
• 1:04:19
Speaker 1: at an ass whipping. You ain't got to go to
• 1:04:22
Speaker 1: church to get it. You ain't got to hand on
• 1:04:24
Speaker 1: money for therapy. You just get his ass whipping and
• 1:04:28
Speaker 1: settle it all. She said, she's afraid that I may
• 1:04:32
Speaker 1: end up in jail for hurting her father. I'm working
• 1:04:36
Speaker 1: really hard to get enough money to propose to her,
• 1:04:39
Speaker 1: and once she's my wife, I really won't be able
• 1:04:42
Speaker 1: to tolerate any disrespect from him. Well, see's son, So
• 1:04:47
Speaker 1: here's what you said. Should I try talking to her
• 1:04:50
Speaker 1: dad now, man to man or should I just surprise
• 1:04:53
Speaker 1: him in body slam even if he gets outlined again.
• 1:04:56
Speaker 1: I liked that in you boy, but that ain't the way.
• 1:05:00
Speaker 1: But Steve Harve I likes that, an't you? But this
• 1:05:03
Speaker 1: hatred her mama gonna be mad at you. The grandmama
• 1:05:07
Speaker 1: probably gonna be mad because you're gonna break it back
• 1:05:09
Speaker 1: or something. Then they got to roll his tripping ass
• 1:05:13
Speaker 1: around in a chair. See it's too much can go
• 1:05:17
Speaker 1: bad with this. So what I need for you to do?
• 1:05:21
Speaker 1: I think you should talk to him, man to man,
• 1:05:24
Speaker 1: but you have to talk to him when he ain't high. Johnson,
• 1:05:28
Speaker 1: can I have a word with you? It just really
• 1:05:31
Speaker 1: sounds so crazy when I hear you talking to the
• 1:05:33
Speaker 1: family like this, and when you're yelling at Hoo, it
• 1:05:35
Speaker 1: really bothers me. Man. Do you think, man, you could
• 1:05:38
Speaker 1: look at that a little bit better and be a
• 1:05:40
Speaker 1: little kind of because she's really hurt. She wants to
• 1:05:43
Speaker 1: have a great relationship. She feels like she never had
• 1:05:45
Speaker 1: a chance to because you just keep cussing at him
• 1:05:48
Speaker 1: and talking to him, and she really loves you. You
• 1:05:50
Speaker 1: can go that route. That's the route Shirley saying, And
• 1:05:52
Speaker 1: that's the route I recommend. Then if all that don't
• 1:05:56
Speaker 1: work litten to skip this ass, y'all. It might not,
• 1:06:01
Speaker 1: it might not young playoff, but that's the way to go.
• 1:06:04
Speaker 1: But if it don't get them both degree as whip out.
• 1:06:09

• 1:06:31
Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steven Show. In trending political news,
• 1:06:36
Speaker 1: the leaks coming from the White House are now crossing
• 1:06:39
Speaker 1: into the animal kingdom because a mouse fell out of
• 1:06:43
Speaker 1: a ceiling, sending reporters into a friend. Wow, mouse on
• 1:06:56
Speaker 1: your shoulder, A damn who y'all shot it through a
• 1:07:02
Speaker 1: whole camera at this round. A mouse in the White
• 1:07:05
Speaker 1: House at sixteen hundred Pennsylvania Avenue. It was yesterday morning
• 1:07:08
Speaker 1: when a mouse plunged through the ceiling in the press
• 1:07:11
Speaker 1: booth and landed. Steve, you're gonna laugh and a reporter's lap.
• 1:07:17
Speaker 1: God man. Everybody started running and reporters took off from
• 1:07:24
Speaker 1: their seats. There's a video that shows a mouse running
• 1:07:27
Speaker 1: behind tables and equipment. One reporter even busted out a broom,
• 1:07:32
Speaker 1: but the mouse got away. Uh man, damn this budget.
• 1:07:41
Speaker 1: I thought it was Dad at first, not coming through
• 1:07:44
Speaker 1: the ceiling. Yeah, he's alive, and well, yeah that's all.
• 1:07:49
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna hamburger he over there eating. Ain't throwing
• 1:07:51
Speaker 1: that stuff weight up with that? Man never heard about this?
• 1:08:06
Speaker 1: Why now he now? He nasted to find it out
• 1:08:11
Speaker 1: so much, didn't I ain't know. He was nasty, too stupid,
• 1:08:16
Speaker 1: too much, too much? Man, Oh, I promise you he
• 1:08:20
Speaker 1: gonna try to blame this on little babble old Noah, homie,
• 1:08:26
Speaker 1: you're right. See if you're right, he's flamed everything else
• 1:08:29
Speaker 1: on him. Why not this? This? Probably if you told
• 1:08:34
Speaker 1: us the story one time. Remember that story you told
• 1:08:37
Speaker 1: us about your friend you spent the night over his house?
• 1:08:39
Speaker 1: Oh man, yeah, we ain't got time to do that
• 1:08:43
Speaker 1: story right now. We can't way different from this one
• 1:08:46
Speaker 1: mouse or out the white house. We can't. Hell no,
• 1:08:49
Speaker 1: we can't do it in a minute. And don't ask
• 1:08:51
Speaker 1: me too. But I'm not shorten it up. But I
• 1:08:53
Speaker 1: tell you right now, way motor, that one damn mouth
• 1:08:56
Speaker 1: dropping out of seal. And I'll tell you what, sitting
• 1:08:59
Speaker 1: up in this house at three o'clock in the morning
• 1:09:01
Speaker 1: was like sitting on the four o five in that
• 1:09:10
Speaker 1: you gotta tell us the story when we tell when
• 1:09:13
Speaker 1: we come back, I ain't telling you. Hey, I don't know.
• 1:09:17
Speaker 1: I'm boycotting the story. Let's just let this mouse in
• 1:09:20
Speaker 1: the White House be the story for three days. Don't
• 1:09:26
Speaker 1: catch it? All right? Well, oh no, ain't got to
• 1:09:32
Speaker 1: catch it. Oh hein't buy myself. I was gonna I
• 1:09:36
Speaker 1: was gonna promote the fact that Steve's gonna tell us
• 1:09:39
Speaker 1: his mouth story. But I ain't gonna do that. He
• 1:09:42
Speaker 1: has parents, he's protesting too much. So we'll be back
• 1:09:47
Speaker 1: with more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up
• 1:09:49
Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, Steve.
• 1:09:58
Speaker 1: At the beginning of the show, you promised us some
• 1:10:01
Speaker 1: ignorance today. Well, I want to ask a question about
• 1:10:04
Speaker 1: the r. Kelly thing, because oh, okay, I didn't know
• 1:10:07
Speaker 1: he was in jail or anything. It's such a sad story.
• 1:10:10
Speaker 1: Let me ask you a couple of questions. He's in
• 1:10:12
Speaker 1: jail in Chicago, yeah, he's in Chicago. You know what jail,
• 1:10:18
Speaker 1: he's in metropolitan Metropolitan, got but it is Mentropolitans. Yeah,
• 1:10:25
Speaker 1: and what's the story you was doing another day about
• 1:10:27
Speaker 1: this show? Oh yesterday. Well, he wants to um, he's
• 1:10:31
Speaker 1: complaining that his health is failing. He says he has
• 1:10:34
Speaker 1: numbness in his hand. Um, you know, and he I mean,
• 1:10:39
Speaker 1: he's been in there for a while. He just he
• 1:10:41
Speaker 1: wants to get out. He has anxiety. He was saying,
• 1:10:45
Speaker 1: there's gonna be some more numbness. Yeah, did that answer
• 1:10:51
Speaker 1: your question? Yeah? Anxiety is everybody in prison has anxiety. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
• 1:11:00
Speaker 1: You know untreated hernia remember that? Oh yeah the hernia. Yeah,
• 1:11:03
Speaker 1: the hernia. You know I had a hernia this year too.
• 1:11:10
Speaker 1: And what happened, Well, I got mine treat I'm free,
• 1:11:15

Speaker 1: whenever you want it? Yeah yeah yeah laugh, went half
• 1:11:39
Speaker 1: from lunch, Actually took time to decide what treatment I wanted.
• 1:11:47

• 1:14:25
Speaker 1: just down the step in the name of love. All Right.
• 1:14:29
Speaker 1: We got more of ignorance on the Steve Harvey Morning
• 1:14:32
Speaker 1: Show coming up at twenty minutes after the hour, right
• 1:14:35
Speaker 1: after say hanging Now you're listening to show? All right, guys.
• 1:14:44
Speaker 1: So it turns out that Donald Trump and Vladimir is
• 1:14:47
Speaker 1: the Lensky, the president of Ukraine, weren't the only ones
• 1:14:51
Speaker 1: on that July phone call when Trump asked him to
• 1:14:54
Speaker 1: investigate Joe Biden and his son. Secretary of State Mike
• 1:14:57
Speaker 1: Pompeo was also on the call. This is according to
• 1:15:02
Speaker 1: a senior State Department official. The July twenty fifth phone
• 1:15:06
Speaker 1: call is the focus of an impeachment inquiry by House
• 1:15:09
Speaker 1: Democrats following a complaint by a whistleblower about Trump's misconduct.
• 1:15:14
Speaker 1: While it's not out of the norm for the Secretary
• 1:15:17
Speaker 1: of State to be on the call with the President
• 1:15:19
Speaker 1: and a foreign leader, Pompeo had not volunteered that he
• 1:15:22
Speaker 1: was on the call. He didn't say anything. Pompeo was
• 1:15:26
Speaker 1: against He didn't say anything. No. I followed this story
• 1:15:29
Speaker 1: shirty as a matter of fact a week ago when
• 1:15:32
Speaker 1: he was on CNN and they asked him about it.
• 1:15:34
Speaker 1: He says, you're asking me something about a report I
• 1:15:37
Speaker 1: haven't even seen. Jo ass was on the call, didn't
• 1:15:41
Speaker 1: volunteer anything. He acts like he didn't know none of this.
• 1:15:44
Speaker 1: But you know, they did this thing on CNN of
• 1:15:46
Speaker 1: the day, called all the President's men. They were showing
• 1:15:49
Speaker 1: the pitch of the president had Juliane Pompey, you know,
• 1:15:54
Speaker 1: bar all his dudes. These are all old white who
• 1:16:01
Speaker 1: have been doing this for years. They're going to band
• 1:16:05
Speaker 1: together and come up with a conspiracy theory and these
• 1:16:10
Speaker 1: Americans gonna believe it, and these damn senators is gonna
• 1:16:15
Speaker 1: ride with it and they know he lying. Yeah, especially
• 1:16:18
Speaker 1: Lindsey Graham. Yes, all right, we got more of the
• 1:16:21
Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show coming up and some trending news
• 1:16:24
Speaker 1: at thirty three after the hour. Right after this, you're
• 1:16:27
Speaker 1: listening to Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, So, Steve.
• 1:16:31
Speaker 1: After Amber Geiger was found guilty of murder and the
• 1:16:34
Speaker 1: prosecution and civil attorneys said that the jury made history. Yesterday,
• 1:16:38
Speaker 1: attorney Benjamin Crump, also a friend to the show, said
• 1:16:41
Speaker 1: the conviction of Amber Geiger is a victory for other
• 1:16:45
Speaker 1: unarmed people of color color who were killed by police.
• 1:16:48
Speaker 1: Take a listen. This verdict is for trey ViOn Martin,
• 1:16:52
Speaker 1: It's for Michael Brown, It's for Sandra Bland, It's for
• 1:16:56
Speaker 1: Tamir Rice, It's for Eric It's for Antoine Rolls, Jamara
• 1:17:04
Speaker 1: Robots from EJ. Bradford, for Stefan Clarde, for Jeffrey din
• 1:17:10
Speaker 1: As Genevise dogs, for Pamela Turner, for so many unarmed
• 1:17:16
Speaker 1: black and brown human beings all across America. This verdict today,
• 1:17:21
Speaker 1: it's for them. Everybody can raise their hand, this verticute
• 1:17:26
Speaker 1: for ten, This vernicute for ten. It's a long list, man,
• 1:17:33
Speaker 1: you know that list. It's it's shocking when you hear
• 1:17:39
Speaker 1: these names of the lives of black and brown people
• 1:17:44
Speaker 1: who die at the hands of police officers and nothing happens.
• 1:17:49
Speaker 1: Nothing right, listen, man, nothing happens. Flap on the police,
• 1:17:55
Speaker 1: on the risk for the police. It's unthinkable in this
• 1:17:59
Speaker 1: country we live in that a young white person or
• 1:18:05
Speaker 1: a white person period gets murdered and nothing happens to
• 1:18:10
Speaker 1: the murderers. It's unthinkable if you can't even if you
• 1:18:18
Speaker 1: murder someone, something has to happen to you for doing it.
• 1:18:24
Speaker 1: It's unthinkable in this country that that can happen. But
• 1:18:27
Speaker 1: to black and brown people, it happens far too often. Man,
• 1:18:33
Speaker 1: It's just far too often, you know. And this is
• 1:18:36
Speaker 1: like listening to that list for me is like a
• 1:18:38
Speaker 1: bitter sweet because I'm so glad this woman was convicted.
• 1:18:42
Speaker 1: But the sad part is, man, when you hear these names,
• 1:18:44
Speaker 1: you go damn, damned, and you just keep saying damn, yeh,
• 1:18:50
Speaker 1: damn man, I forgot damn. Hold up, damn, and let
• 1:18:54
Speaker 1: me tell you something. These ain't no names, not in
• 1:18:58
Speaker 1: your lifetime. They didn't go back to immetill and Mega elbows,
• 1:19:05
Speaker 1: and they didn't go back down that list. No, they
• 1:19:09
Speaker 1: bought it up to modern day. Everybody knew these names.
• 1:19:13
Speaker 1: You know how long they've been going on? Have any
• 1:19:17
Speaker 1: idea how long it's been going on? Man? And do
• 1:19:20
Speaker 1: you know how long that's finally getting national attention because
• 1:19:23
Speaker 1: of cyberspace? Do you know how many countless people have
• 1:19:27
Speaker 1: died at the hands of brutality simply because it could
• 1:19:31
Speaker 1: get pushed under the rug and hidden because what no internet,
• 1:19:35
Speaker 1: what no phone cameras? So when you hear these names, y'all,
• 1:19:39
Speaker 1: it ain't just them names, it's thousands of names, all right.
• 1:19:45
Speaker 1: Coming up, our last break of the day and some
• 1:19:48
Speaker 1: closing remarks from the one and only Steve Harvey at
• 1:19:51
Speaker 1: forty nine minutes after the hour, right after this, you're
• 1:19:54
Speaker 1: listening all right? Here we are last break of the
• 1:19:59
Speaker 1: day before we turn it over to Steven. It's been
• 1:20:02
Speaker 1: a good day, by the way, been a great day.
• 1:20:04
Speaker 1: Right before we turn it over to Steve for his
• 1:20:07
Speaker 1: closing remarks, Tommy, you wanted to say one last thing
• 1:20:10
Speaker 1: before we get out of here? Did I wanted to
• 1:20:11
Speaker 1: say this? And y'all tell me from right now. George
• 1:20:14
Speaker 1: Bush found Saddan Hussein, right, and Barack Obama found being
• 1:20:21
Speaker 1: locked and Donald Trump can't find the snitch in his
• 1:20:26
Speaker 1: own damn house? Am I right wrong? Keep talking about
• 1:20:30
Speaker 1: whistle blow? Whistle blow? You can't find here in your house.
• 1:20:33
Speaker 1: I don't want him to find him? Goods? Yeah, the
• 1:20:39
Speaker 1: situation really? Yeah? All right, Steve, take us home. You
• 1:20:46
Speaker 1: know this is a really encouraging thing for people. Um.
• 1:20:52
Speaker 1: I just want to talk to you about keeping the faith. Um.
• 1:20:57
Speaker 1: You know, it's gonna be a lot of turns in
• 1:21:00
Speaker 1: your life. You know. I was. I was doing this
• 1:21:02
Speaker 1: thing with Publishers clearing House the other day. We were
• 1:21:05
Speaker 1: going over to some people's homes and we were giving
• 1:21:08
Speaker 1: away these ten thousand dollars checks. I mean, this is
• 1:21:10
Speaker 1: really real. And they not only have the big check
• 1:21:14
Speaker 1: with your name on it. When we get ready to
• 1:21:16
Speaker 1: walk away, we actually hand the person the actual check.
• 1:21:21
Speaker 1: They get a check with their name on it. They
• 1:21:23
Speaker 1: can take it to the bank right the end. And
• 1:21:24
Speaker 1: that and I was leaving and this one Hispanic couple
• 1:21:29
Speaker 1: stopped me, and this woman had a cast on her arm,
• 1:21:33
Speaker 1: and she said, mister Harvey, can I speak to you
• 1:21:35
Speaker 1: for a minute. You're such an inspiration to me. I'm
• 1:21:38
Speaker 1: listening to your radio show all the time. And I said, well,
• 1:21:40
Speaker 1: I'll thank you well. The publishers clearing house cameras kept rolling,
• 1:21:45
Speaker 1: and I knew they were over my shoulder, but I
• 1:21:47
Speaker 1: had to talk to this lady because she was sad.
• 1:21:50
Speaker 1: She said, how do you keep the faith when things
• 1:21:53
Speaker 1: are going wrong in your life? I said, well, something
• 1:21:57
Speaker 1: going wrong right now? She said yes. I said, hasn't
• 1:22:02
Speaker 1: something gone wrong before? And I was just being real
• 1:22:06
Speaker 1: nice and encouraging to the lady, and I was just
• 1:22:09
Speaker 1: talking to him. And as I was talking to I
• 1:22:12
Speaker 1: started thinking that and and and I'm gonna share with
• 1:22:17
Speaker 1: you what I shared with her. I said, you know what,
• 1:22:20
Speaker 1: if you remain faithful, it always turns around. Now, it
• 1:22:28
Speaker 1: may not turn around in the time frame you have
• 1:22:31
Speaker 1: in mind, but it always turns around. As a matter
• 1:22:37
Speaker 1: of fact. God is so good and so merciful, even
• 1:22:41
Speaker 1: when you don't remain faithful to it, he turns it
• 1:22:45
Speaker 1: around for you anyway. It's so crazy, man, how he works.
• 1:22:51
Speaker 1: You know, the fact that you have given up hope
• 1:22:54
Speaker 1: does not stop him for issuing out his grace and
• 1:22:57
Speaker 1: him doesn't stop him from issuing his mercy. He does
• 1:23:02
Speaker 1: it to the just, he does it to the unjust,
• 1:23:07
Speaker 1: He does it to evil people, he does it to
• 1:23:09
Speaker 1: the righteous. He just gives us all breaks all of us.
• 1:23:14
Speaker 1: And I was telling the lady, I said, you know,
• 1:23:15
Speaker 1: if you remain faithful, it's gonna turn around. She said,
• 1:23:20
Speaker 1: but it seems like it never does. And I said
• 1:23:23
Speaker 1: something to her that I've said something on the radio
• 1:23:26
Speaker 1: of quite a few times now. I said, let me
• 1:23:27
Speaker 1: ask you something. I said, I don't know you man.
• 1:23:29
Speaker 1: She said, I'm thirty two. I said, okay, I'm sixty two.
• 1:23:34
Speaker 1: In sixty two years, i've had I got to thinking,
• 1:23:44
Speaker 1: probably at least a thousand really bad days. Out of
• 1:23:51
Speaker 1: my sixty two years, I've had about a thousand really
• 1:23:54
Speaker 1: bad days. Probably a little bit more than that, but
• 1:23:57
Speaker 1: some of my forgot about it. So I said, thirty two,
• 1:24:00
Speaker 1: I said, you've probably had off. Can you think of
• 1:24:04
Speaker 1: a hundred bad days that you had? She said, oh, yes,
• 1:24:07
Speaker 1: I've had more than a hundred bad days. I said, okay,
• 1:24:11
Speaker 1: let me ask you a question. Of those hundred bad
• 1:24:14
Speaker 1: days that you've had and of the thousand bad days
• 1:24:19
Speaker 1: that I have, Can I tell you something that you
• 1:24:21
Speaker 1: and I have in coming? She said, mister Harvey, I
• 1:24:24
Speaker 1: don't have anything in coming with you. I said, yes,
• 1:24:27
Speaker 1: you do. I said, I've survived a thousand bad days.
• 1:24:33
  Speaker 1: You've I've had a thousand bad days. You've had a
• 1:24:36
Speaker 1: hundred bad days. I said, guess what, we've both survived
• 1:24:42
Speaker 1: all those bad days. I said, young lady, your track
• 1:24:46
Speaker 1: record for surviving bad days is one hundred percent. All
• 1:24:52
Speaker 1: of y'all out there is having bad days. Think of
• 1:24:55
Speaker 1: all the bad days you've ever had, you survived them all.
• 1:24:59
Speaker 1: You're gonna survive the this one too. Now, imagine this
• 1:25:04
Speaker 1: with not even realizing that God was taking care of
• 1:25:07
Speaker 1: you in your past, with just faith in mercy. Imagine
• 1:25:11
Speaker 1: this suppose you actually thought, faithfully, Wow, thank you Lord
• 1:25:20
Speaker 1: for all that you've gotten me through, and therefore I
• 1:25:23
Speaker 1: know you're gonna get me through this. Imagine if you
• 1:25:26
Speaker 1: made that simple step, what would it hurt you? I mean, really,
• 1:25:30
Speaker 1: it couldn't hurt you at all, because without you asking
• 1:25:34
Speaker 1: him before, he's gotten you through it, and he brought
• 1:25:37
Speaker 1: you through it so smooth. Some days you woke up
• 1:25:39
Speaker 1: and it was just gone and you didn't even know it.
• 1:25:40
Speaker 1: You don't even have enough sense to thank him. You
• 1:25:42
Speaker 1: just got up and all of a sudden you had
• 1:25:44
Speaker 1: survived it. Well, guess what suppose you applied that little
• 1:25:48
Speaker 1: piece of faith to it and just said, you know what, Lord,
• 1:25:52
Speaker 1: I know today is a rough day, but I want
• 1:25:53
Speaker 1: to thank you for all the rough days you got
• 1:25:55
Speaker 1: me through before, and I just I'm anticipating that you're
• 1:25:58
Speaker 1: gonna get me through this one. That little act of
• 1:26:01
Speaker 1: faith right there, acknowledging God for what he's done for
• 1:26:05
Speaker 1: you in the past and expecting him to do it
• 1:26:08
Speaker 1: for you again. That's the relationship he's looking for from us, man,
• 1:26:13
Speaker 1: and he keeps providing us with proof that he's available
• 1:26:16
Speaker 1: all the time for us. So y'all stay faithful, because
• 1:26:21
Speaker 1: every time it's gone wrong in the past, you survived
• 1:26:24
Speaker 1: that one too. Don't you see that He has never
• 1:26:28
Speaker 1: left you, that he's always been there, don't you see? Man?
• 1:26:33
Speaker 1: Wake up, everybody. God is good. All right, it's my
• 1:26:37
Speaker 1: closing remarks to day. Stay faithful, y'all have a great weekend.
