  I am thinking today of a verse in the book of Joshua.

  It's been a while since I've been in Joshua.

  And I preached through the whole thing a couple years ago,

  and I remember this verse very passionately from that time.

  Joshua 18.3 says,

  So Joshua said to the sons of Israel,
• 0:19
  How long will you put off entering to take possession of the land
• 0:23
  which the Lord the God your fathers has given you?
• 0:27
  Now this question for them, of course, was a literal one,
• 0:30
  but it speaks volumes figuratively as well.
• 0:34
  It's time to be moving in the direction that God has laid out for us.
• 0:37
  We must do what God has ordained and take our rightful place as sowers and harvesters,
• 0:42
  as representatives of the Lord in whatever way.
• 0:46
  In my case, in our case, the Lord has blessed so much, how dare I,
• 0:50
  how could I possibly not want to do everything I can to live for Jesus?

  We must be found faithful.
• 0:57
  Living for Jesus often requires simple faithful obedience.

  The world does everything it can to throw up temptations and tribulations and distractions
• 1:05
  to keep you from moving forward in the Lord.
• 1:08
  And there is a teaching that stands against what the Bible says.
• 1:12
  We are a people of the book.
• 1:14
  We are a people who follow Jesus.
• 1:16
  We are a people who have a living Lord who is with us daily.
• 1:19
  And how long will we put off entering in to take possession of the land
• 1:24
  which the Lord has given us?
