- 1:32Speaker 6: I can't.
- 1:41Speaker 4: To turn the mouth turn you probably got to turn
- 1:45Speaker 4: the mouth the turn.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Out, turn the money UPO.
- 1:50Speaker 7: Look, come.
- 1:59Speaker 3: Come on your.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Uh I sure will. Good morning everybody you are listening
- 2:06Speaker 2: to the voice, Come on, dig me down one and
- 2:09Speaker 2: only Steve Harvey got a radio show. Man o, man o, man,
- 2:16Speaker 2: I just I have to tell you this. How good
- 2:22Speaker 2: is the God I serve? How amazing is he? That's
- 2:28Speaker 2: that's all I you know. And you know what really, man,
- 2:31Speaker 2: when I try to explain how I feel about what
- 2:35Speaker 2: he does for me, really, the words that I come
- 2:38Speaker 2: up with, that they just they they inadequate. Man, They
- 2:41Speaker 2: don't they don't cut it. They really don't.
- 2:43Speaker 3: You know.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I can say amazing. At one time, I even just
- 2:47Speaker 2: got that. I tried something real ignorant. One time, I
- 2:49Speaker 2: just said, you know, God is just super captual, fragilistic,
- 2:52Speaker 2: ast be all adocious. I just tried that. See how
- 2:55Speaker 2: that felt. That's that's all to change he is with me.
- 2:58Speaker 2: I just try to because see how that felt, and
- 3:00Speaker 2: I ain't feel right saying that's the fact that he's
- 3:03Speaker 2: amazing and awesome and he's an awesome God. You hear
- 3:06Speaker 2: people say that is it's bigger than that too, man.
- 3:09Speaker 2: So you know, as hard as I try, no matter
- 3:13Speaker 2: what I do every day, I'm gonna come up short
- 3:15Speaker 2: with trying to explain to you exactly how he works
- 3:18Speaker 2: and how he is for me. So I just thank
- 3:21Speaker 2: him that every day every chance I get here. It
- 3:25Speaker 2: is it is your determination and your effort. Listen to
- 3:32Speaker 2: me carefully. It is your determination and your effort. I
- 3:39Speaker 2: think that the average person, and I'm not knocking you,
- 3:43Speaker 2: I just want you to hear me out. I think
- 3:45Speaker 2: what stops the average person from becoming successful is that
- 3:50Speaker 2: we don't realize the effort that it takes. And that's
- 3:54Speaker 2: just truth. I found that to be so true in
- 3:58Speaker 2: my life, in my time talking to people and meeting people,
- 4:01Speaker 2: and people aren't asking me questions about it and me
- 4:04Speaker 2: trying to figure out the way myself. I don't think
- 4:08Speaker 2: that you really can comprehend the effort that it takes
- 4:13Speaker 2: to become successful. This is the thing that you have
- 4:17Speaker 2: to wrap your mind around very quickly. If you want
- 4:20Speaker 2: to be successful on any level in any area. The
- 4:24Speaker 2: dream is the beginning. Good Lord, let me tell you something.
- 4:28Speaker 2: The determination and effort is massive. You cannot be overly
- 4:36Speaker 2: concerned with sleep. If you are a person who is
- 4:40Speaker 2: always concerned about sleep, gets success out your mind. Ain't
- 4:44Speaker 2: finna have a partner? Is not finna happen. You cannot
- 4:48Speaker 2: be that concerned about sleep. Now, listen to me. You
- 4:52Speaker 2: have to get your rest. But this was my philosophy.
- 4:57Speaker 2: I'm just sharing you with what how I did it.
- 5:00Speaker 2: My philosophy was I stopped being concerned about sleep. I
- 5:07Speaker 2: got my rest, but I got just enough to get
- 5:12Speaker 2: back to it, and I got back on the grind
- 5:14Speaker 2: to hop in the hustle. I got just enough rest
- 5:19Speaker 2: so I could go and put forth some more effort.
- 5:23Speaker 2: But listen to me. You cannot sleep a third of
- 5:27Speaker 2: your life away and expect to become successful. If you're
- 5:30Speaker 2: not already successful. If you are asleep for eight hours,
- 5:34Speaker 2: that is a third of your day. You cannot be
- 5:37Speaker 2: asleep a third of your life and expect to get successful. Now,
- 5:40Speaker 2: after you get successful, you know you learn as you
- 5:46Speaker 2: go to work smarter, not harder. So as you get successful,
- 5:51Speaker 2: you may have eight hours available to you. But on
- 5:54Speaker 2: the way up there, I don't see how you can
- 5:55Speaker 2: do it, I promise you. I don't. Now, maybe somebody
- 5:58Speaker 2: can come for it.
- 5:58Speaker 3: I did it.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Probably lying. But okay, tell your story, because everybody I
- 6:06Speaker 2: know that's successful that I've sat down I had real
- 6:09Speaker 2: talks with. They wasn't concerned with sleeping. You cannot be
- 6:15Speaker 2: concerned with sleeping if you want to be successful. How
- 6:19Speaker 2: can this happen for you? Listen to me. The effort
- 6:22Speaker 2: that it requires is massive. It's an all out of
- 6:26Speaker 2: salt on your dream. Now you got to making assault.
- 6:29Speaker 2: It requires an all out of salt on it. And
- 6:33Speaker 2: you can't be sleeping. Fight at the same time. You
- 6:35Speaker 2: can't fight when you sleep. Man, I wish I could
- 6:38Speaker 2: get y'all understand this right here. Understand that the effort
- 6:42Speaker 2: that is required to be successful will take everything you have,
- 6:47Speaker 2: and when you think you've given your all, it's gonna
- 6:50Speaker 2: require some more. The quality of your chield is amazing.
- 6:56Speaker 2: See okay, listen to what is sitting around having to
- 6:59Speaker 2: be every day fault? What? But they're sitting around smoking weed?
- 7:04Speaker 2: For every day. Pa, Come on, man, for real, But
- 7:09Speaker 2: if you took that beer, drinking, weeds smoking chill time
- 7:13Speaker 2: and applied it to progressing yourself towards your dream. When
- 7:17Speaker 2: you do carve out a vacation, guess where you be
- 7:21Speaker 2: able to go. Guess what part of the world you
- 7:24Speaker 2: can go see. Guess how you can cheer up now
- 7:26Speaker 2: instead of you just driving Every year your family to
- 7:29Speaker 2: the family union, sit at the same picnic table. Everybody
- 7:32Speaker 2: pull they money in two ten families don't never pool
- 7:36Speaker 2: they money in. They down there eating like y'all eating.
- 7:38Speaker 2: You got attitude cause because the day or day side
- 7:41Speaker 2: don't have a chip in or know they down there
- 7:43Speaker 2: eating extra potatoes at and making place. You're not arguing
- 7:46Speaker 2: about this every year for real, man, they ain't got
- 7:49Speaker 2: the T shirt money. You know, they got the same
- 7:52Speaker 2: T shirt on. They ain't put in that really, man,
- 7:55Speaker 2: so so so so so you want that to be
- 7:57Speaker 2: it every year? Or do you want this year I'm
- 8:01Speaker 2: taking my family to New Orleans, or I'm taking my
- 8:05Speaker 2: family see the Grand Canyon. I'm taking my family down
- 8:08Speaker 2: to the beach. This year. Me, me and my family
- 8:10Speaker 2: gonna go sight see. We're gonna go ride a couple
- 8:13Speaker 2: of river on Chicago. Me and my family gonna go
- 8:15Speaker 2: skiing this year. Me and me and my family going
- 8:17Speaker 2: out to La Man we go. We're gonna go out
- 8:20Speaker 2: there for the weekend. You know, you know it can
- 8:22Speaker 2: happen like that. But if you ain't working, listen to me.
- 8:30Speaker 2: Average effort gets average results. That's that's all it is
- 8:35Speaker 2: to it. See, ordinary effort gets ordinary results. But if
- 8:45Speaker 2: you put forth an extra effort. See, the only difference
- 8:49Speaker 2: between extraordinary and ordinary is one word, that's extra. If
- 8:53Speaker 2: you do extra, you can take ordinary right on over
- 8:57Speaker 2: to extraordinary. Do you understand you have to have a
- 9:01Speaker 2: massive assault on your dreams? Quit sitting up in here, man,
- 9:04Speaker 2: trying to chill all the time. I'm sorry, man, I
- 9:07Speaker 2: wish I could tell you another way, but it ain't one.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Here's what I did. I wasn't concerned about how much
- 9:14Speaker 2: sleep I got. I just had to get my rest.
- 9:17Speaker 2: And once I got enough rest to get up and
- 9:20Speaker 2: get the task done, I got up. Somebody sent me
- 9:24Speaker 2: a tweet the other day, a partner of mine. He said,
- 9:30Speaker 2: to see if I can pull it up while I'm
- 9:32Speaker 2: talking to you. But he just sent me a little sign.
- 9:34Speaker 2: Just what nothing, just a little something to say. Hey, man,
- 9:37Speaker 2: I ran across this, I thought about you, and I
- 9:39Speaker 2: sent it to you. It said no alarm clock needed,
- 9:44Speaker 2: My passion wakes me. It's in block print. He said,
- 9:51Speaker 2: no alarm clock needed, My passion wakes me. That's what
- 9:57Speaker 2: you got to be about.
- 9:58Speaker 1: Your listeners to Steve Morning.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Show, Ladies and gentlemen, it is here another great day
- 10:05Speaker 2: that God has given us. Man, stand up and be

- 18:39Speaker 2: Let's not do the whole lawyer thing. Guys.
- 18:41Speaker 6: Okay, let's not do that all right now. People get

- 24:04Speaker 2: Now.
- 24:04Speaker 8: He's not allowing me to charge his sister for the clothes.
- 24:07Speaker 8: Why do I have to take a major cut and

- 24:13Speaker 3: Why?
- 24:14Speaker 2: I don't know, long clothes like that? Who do that well?
- 24:21Speaker 1: For photo shoots? People do it.
- 24:23Speaker 8: Yeah, you go to boutiques and ask to borrow outfits

- 25:46Speaker 8: year old tap dancer, and I used to get booked
- 25:48Speaker 8: for shows a lot, but nowadays nobody appreciates the art
- 25:52Speaker 8: of tap dancing.
- 25:54Speaker 1: Is this something I should keep pursuing or is it
- 25:56Speaker 1: time to hang up my tap shoes and explore other hobbies?
- 26:00Speaker 2: The problem is you fifty two. I don't know if
- 26:03Speaker 2: you notice it or not, but look at your tapes
- 26:05Speaker 2: now and what they used to look like. Notice how
- 26:09Speaker 2: they the taps ain't as close together, no more, don't
- 26:12Speaker 2: sound the same. Look this was you tapping at thirty two.
- 26:25Speaker 2: This is your tapping now. I guess the speeding up.

- 27:26Speaker 2: And the tap shoes don't even want to go to
- 27:29Speaker 2: the uh to the part? Yeah, the tap shoes don't
- 27:35Speaker 2: even hang them up. Ain't it hard tying them up?
- 27:38Speaker 2: Throw them up? If it's hard a time? Often it's
- 27:42Speaker 2: time to hang them up, all right? All right?
- 27:45Speaker 8: Last one Steve Treva and Hattiesburg says there was a
- 27:48Speaker 8: strange carvava.
- 27:54Speaker 2: From where you go.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Hattiesburg lor she count what won't?
- 28:03Speaker 2: She says?
- 28:04Speaker 1: There was a strange car in her driveway, so she
- 28:07Speaker 1: stuck her.
- 28:07Speaker 8: Head out to see what the young lady wanted. She
- 28:10Speaker 8: saw me and drove off. My boyfriend said. My boyfriend
- 28:13Speaker 8: said it was it might be his crazy ex in
- 28:16Speaker 8: his sister's car. I don't need this kind of drama,
- 28:19Speaker 8: but I love him, he said he'd handled it. She's
- 28:23Speaker 8: too close for comfort, So what should I do?
- 28:27Speaker 2: Trivalquise sticking your head out that dough and he said
- 28:31Speaker 2: it might be his crazy ex in her sister's call.
- 28:36Speaker 2: He know exactly who that is. This ain't her first
- 28:41Speaker 2: time pulling up on him. He know what the grill
- 28:44Speaker 2: looked like. It's got that piece of tape on the
- 28:47Speaker 2: back holding the fend off because she can't drive. She
- 28:50Speaker 2: thene bagged out a lot of times in the head,
- 28:52Speaker 2: hit the fire Highten, knocked over the garbage cans. He
- 28:55Speaker 2: know who that is. Now there's drama, but you know
- 28:58Speaker 2: people come with in history. Whenever you shayting, somebody come
- 29:00Speaker 2: to the history. As long as it's his ex. You
- 29:03Speaker 2: don't have a crazy ex. Every every man has had
- 29:11Speaker 2: a crazy X. Now every woman ain't really had a
- 29:16Speaker 2: crazy ex, but you had some exes that you had
- 29:19Speaker 2: problems with. But every man has had a crazy ex.

- 41:26Speaker 8: is a question or the relative who.
- 41:27Speaker 1: Is the better cook?
- 41:29Speaker 2: The better cook?
- 41:31Speaker 1: Yeah, Thanksgiving is about food.
- 41:33Speaker 2: I'd rather be crowded in the food. We're just sitting
- 41:37Speaker 2: way away from each other.
- 41:38Speaker 1: Complain eating green bean casserole.
- 41:41Speaker 2: Let your trying to drop.
- 41:46Speaker 1: There's an echo of the house is so big.
- 41:54Speaker 2: Were loose as you?
- 41:58Speaker 1: It was loose.
- 42:02Speaker 2: She only had one kid of quibird. So they're just
- 42:06Speaker 2: hollering across the big empty house. It's me, but the
- 42:10Speaker 2: food ain't good. I'd rather be in that tight sitting
- 42:12Speaker 2: elbow to elbow watching the game boys. I'm going good.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Address whistler sitting right next to you. Hey, man, if
- 42:21Speaker 2: you ain't gonna eat all your ham let me have

- 42:49Speaker 13: I'm going out here and see if everything all right. Hey,

- 43:08Speaker 2: need to. I need to. I need to study that
- 43:10Speaker 2: one with one of my aunties and figured out I
- 43:12Speaker 2: ain't got to do it.
- 43:15Speaker 1: It's an art to grave. I love dressing.

- 43:34Speaker 2: build butter ball. Deep fry your son that turkey. Goddam.
- 43:40Speaker 2: The only thing I used to do every Thanksgiving I did.
- 43:42Speaker 2: I did the yams every year. Oh really I stopped
- 43:46Speaker 2: doing that.

- 56:35Speaker 8: want to turn away. This letter gets a little racy
- 56:38Speaker 8: at times, a little spicy. Okay, thank you subject nothing
- 56:43Speaker 8: is big except his mouth. Dear Stephen Shirley, my boyfriend
- 56:48Speaker 8: has to have a spotlight on him at all times.
- 56:51Speaker 1: It seems like every week.
- 56:53Speaker 8: He tells me that he went off on a coworker
- 56:56Speaker 8: because they don't respect his authority. I always have to
- 57:00Speaker 8: remind him that he's not anyone supervisor at the job.
- 57:04Speaker 8: He's just been there longer than anyone else. He's got
- 57:07Speaker 8: a big ego and.
- 57:08Speaker 1: A big mouth. He laughs loud, and he brags all
- 57:11Speaker 1: of the time.
- 57:13Speaker 8: I'm talking about bragging like he can knock it out
- 57:15Speaker 8: of the park every night, when he's really not even
- 57:19Speaker 8: tapping first base. When I met him, he bragged about
- 57:22Speaker 8: his size and kept telling me to grab on to it.
- 57:25Speaker 8: I should have grabbed it and stretched it a little
- 57:28Speaker 8: bit each time I saw him. I had seen him
- 57:31Speaker 8: without clothes on, and I don't know much about a man,
- 57:35Speaker 8: so I assumed it might get bigger when he got excited. Well,
- 57:39Speaker 8: we finally had sex, and it stayed the same size.
- 57:43Speaker 8: It's like he doesn't know he's small because he kept
- 57:45Speaker 8: bragging the whole time.
- 57:47Speaker 1: I got annoyed at him.
- 57:48Speaker 8: And now when I see him, I think of how
- 57:51Speaker 8: big his feet are and how short his toes are.
- 57:54Speaker 8: My mind goes to the craziest things about a person
- 57:57Speaker 8: once they disappoint me. He is nothing big on him
- 58:00Speaker 8: except his mouth and his ego. I don't want to
- 58:03Speaker 8: throw him away just because he's tiny. I'm willing to
- 58:07Speaker 8: work on this relationship a little longer. He thinks I'm
- 58:10Speaker 8: falling in love with him, but that's not what's happening,
- 58:13Speaker 8: at least not yet. I want to continue to get
- 58:16Speaker 8: to know him and find ways to make our sex
- 58:18Speaker 8: life better despite his despite his small size. It is
- 58:22Speaker 8: hard to find a man these days, and I'm pretty
- 58:24Speaker 8: sure this man won't ever cheat on me, or if
- 58:27Speaker 8: he does cheat, it will only it would only happen
- 58:31Speaker 8: once because he's so tiny.
- 58:33Speaker 1: Do you think he can ever change? Am I crazy
- 58:35Speaker 1: to stay with him?
- 58:37Speaker 2: Okay? Surely before you answer this letter?
- 58:39Speaker 5: Uh?
- 58:39Speaker 2: Huh, Well I am sitting up on the edge of
- 58:43Speaker 2: my seat. H huh sure this one go ahead? Shit?
- 58:48Speaker 1: Well, thank you, Steve, Thank you? Anyway she says, is
- 58:52Speaker 1: she crazy to stay with him? I'm really not sure
- 58:55Speaker 1: what you want Steve and I to do here, because
- 58:59Speaker 1: there's not a lot we can.
- 59:00Speaker 8: Do about your particular situation. And sorry you had to
- 59:04Speaker 8: find out about his size that way. Maybe you could
- 59:08Speaker 8: have accepted it better and not have been so disappointed
- 59:11Speaker 8: had he not built himself up and bragged about his
- 59:14Speaker 8: size so much.
- 59:15Speaker 1: When you ask if he could ever change, are you
- 59:18Speaker 1: talking about his size? Probably not? Probably not. Can he
- 59:24Speaker 1: change his big mouth?
- 59:25Speaker 8: Well, yes, definitely he can do that, but he's not
- 59:28Speaker 8: going to do that because he's been bragging for way
- 59:30Speaker 8: too long. It's a part of him. Now, first you
- 59:34Speaker 8: need to decide why are you really with this man?
- 59:37Speaker 8: You have said nothing good about him in this entire letter.
- 59:42Speaker 8: You even said if he cheats, it will only be
- 59:45Speaker 8: one time because of his size, which means if he cheated,
- 59:50Speaker 8: you know he would come back to you, so you
- 59:51Speaker 8: would put up with that. So my question is are
- 59:55Speaker 8: you settling because you don't believe you can get anyone else?
- 59:58Speaker 8: You said you want to stay and work with him.
- 1:00:01Speaker 8: This is not what makes a good relationship. Settling You're
- 1:00:04Speaker 8: gonna continue to complain about him if you stay. So no,
- 1:00:09Speaker 8: I'm saying, don't settle this. This don't settle. You gotta
- 1:00:12Speaker 8: make up your mind here either you gonna be with
- 1:00:14Speaker 8: them or.
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: Not, and you don't. There's nothing good in this letter
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: that you've written about him, So why stay? Steve?
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: Here's what I take away from this whole letter. Now,
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: I'm gonna do a reenactment on the second half because
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: there's really nowhere to go. Shirley's absolutely correct, what do
- 1:00:31Speaker 2: you want us to do? But I'm gonna tell you
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: one thing though. This man right here is the epitomen
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: of Norman Vincent Peele's book The Power of Positive Thinks
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: by Norman Vincent Peel. This man has thought himself into
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: everything he needed to feel good about. He got a
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: big mouth. He ain't to supervise on the job, but
- 1:01:01Speaker 2: he got everybody thinking him. He got a big ego
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: because he's a small man. He got a big mouth
- 1:01:06Speaker 2: because he's a small man. He laughs loud and brags
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: all the time. Because he's a small man. I'm talking
- 1:01:14Speaker 2: about bragging like he can knock it out the park
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: every night. He ain't even really tapping first base. But
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: in his mind though, this boy has convinced himself that
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: he all of that. Had a bag of chips. When
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: you met him, he bragged about his size, and he
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: kept telling me grab on to it. I should have
- 1:01:36Speaker 2: grabbed his stretch a little bit at the time I
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: saw him. I'd have seen him without clothes on, and
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: I don't know much about a man, so I assumed
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: it might get bigger when he got excited. Now let
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: me tell you what's wrong so far. And you assume
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: when you saw him neck and how small he was,
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: when he got excited, he would get bigger. Normally, that's
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: what happens. He's not been on a lot of sports
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: teams with guys before, because when you get in the
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: locker room and you play sports is when you first
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: discover you might be in a little bit of trouble.
- 1:02:08Speaker 2: So here's what's happening. When you play sports, you're in
- 1:02:11Speaker 2: the locker room, and that's when you discover you might
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: not be all you think you are. So obviously he
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: ain't played no sports because I remember when Eric Green
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: came out to shower. Who's that Eric the Great? That's
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: what he was called after he came out to shower,
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: Eric the Great Green, Lord have mercy. We was in
- 1:02:35Speaker 2: the ninth grade. That boy came out to shower. I said,
- 1:02:41Speaker 2: who uncle is there?
- 1:02:44Speaker 8: Hold on, we'll have part two of Steve's response coming
- 1:02:47Speaker 8: up in twenty three minutes after the hour. Today's Scrubberry
- 1:02:50Speaker 8: letter subject nothing is big except his mouth.
- 1:02:54Speaker 7: You're listening Steve Harvey Morning Show at the Salvation Army.
- 1:03:01Speaker 7: Love gives beyond situation and season. While lights are sparkling
- 1:03:06Speaker 7: and temperatures are dropping, you can be the difference for
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: a family in need right in your local community. Your
- 1:03:13Speaker 7: donation puts presents under the tree today and food on
- 1:03:17Speaker 7: the table all year long, warm hearts and homes beyond
- 1:03:21Speaker 7: the Christmas season by donating twenty five dollars a month
- 1:03:25Speaker 7: at Salvation ARMYUSA dot org. Help a neighbor in need
- 1:03:30Speaker 7: through the holidays and beyond.
- 1:03:33Speaker 8: All Right, come on, Steve Let's recap today's strawberry letter.
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: The subject is nothing is big except his mouth.
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Now, she's been dating this man that's been bragging. He's boastful,
- 1:03:45Speaker 2: he loud, he talked crazy, he thinks you more than
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: he is a supervisor. And then when it comes down
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: to the bedroom, ain't nothing big on him but his mouth.
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: The man is small, and he been using a power
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: positive thinking and has convinced himself and has tried to
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: convince her that he is all of that and everything grabbing,
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: you know, she said in the middle of the letter.
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: She don't know much about a man, but she thought
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: that if she saw him without his clothes on, when
- 1:04:17Speaker 2: he got excited, it would get bigger. That's how it works.
- 1:04:20Speaker 2: But that ain't how I worked with him. And the
- 1:04:22Speaker 2: reason he don't understand is because he's not an athletic man.
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: He didn't play sports, because when you play sports, you
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: be around me in all the time you come out
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: that shower. I was in the ninth grade when Eric
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: the Great Green Great Green came out to shower one
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: time in the ninth grade. Well, I was in ninth grade,
- 1:04:41Speaker 2: you know, fourteen, You know, Eric the Great Green came
- 1:04:45Speaker 2: he was his name was just Eric Green at first,
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: but when he came out that shower, nckga, everybody called
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: him Eric the Great. He was a Viking. That boy
- 1:04:57Speaker 2: came out that shower. We were sitting there as little boys.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: We were just going, Lord Jesus, who uncle is this? Who? Daddy? Who?
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: Lord?
- 1:05:07Speaker 6: What is it?
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: And we all knew then we have some growing to do.
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: And Eric the Great was already there. So obviously this
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: man has not been around athletics anymore. Now you want
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: to know what can you do? And there's nothing. Man
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: surely can help you. There are products that can help him.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: That was a product our years back called Extend, and
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: I don't know about seeing that anymore. I don't see
- 1:05:31Speaker 2: even commercials on that no more. But they have stuff
- 1:05:34Speaker 2: that you can do. He got to do something, but
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: it ain't really but he the problem is you. He's
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: kind of like dealing with an early alcoholic. He don't
- 1:05:43Speaker 2: know that alcoholic. He don't know. He's small, and you
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: got to stop helping with all that hollywod He don't
- 1:05:56Speaker 2: know because he thinks he killed. Yeah, he ain't listening
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: to nobody but hisself. You got to tune yourself out
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: feelings and listen to these women all listening here.
- 1:06:11Speaker 1: In the meantime. She's looking at her phone. Yeah, looking
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: at her nails.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: She's doing her nails. You just delusion all about who
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: you are. So to show you how it works, ladies,
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: you can ask me anything. You're in a relationship with me,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: and you're trying to bring and breach the subject and
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: ask me in a cool way. And I'm gonna show
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: you how he handling the Consentey, what's going on?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Yeah? You're talking so loud? Why are you so loud?
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: I can't help it. You know, big man gotta do
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: big things. You know what I mean? You know you
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Girl, I can't help it. I
- 1:06:50Speaker 2: can't tone it down because it ain't It won't town down,
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying.
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: Yeah, I got that. You can't talk girl, Yeah I
- 1:07:00Speaker 1: got all that.
- 1:07:01Speaker 7: When you're laughing, Why are you just over the top
- 1:07:06Speaker 7: out of tin with the laughter falling all loud.
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: Come on me if I don't laugh loud, all of
- 1:07:14Speaker 2: them are here? You doing this cry? Because I got
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: all this here on you like this here, and I
- 1:07:21Speaker 2: huh all that cry? You know, I do the last help?
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: Come up all this whipping and moaning, you know you
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: moaning this stuff. I rather hear laughter. You know, supposed
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: to be a great time for both of us. So
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: I laugh hard. So we go and get in the
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: move because if I stopped this laughter, I got to
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: deal with these moans of ecstasy and sometimes pain because
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: it's just so much, you know what I'm saying.
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: You know what, I know that I hate that you.
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: You know, you brag a lot, You're loud and everything,
- 1:07:49Speaker 8: But do you have any idea? You know, like, how
- 1:07:54Speaker 8: can I put this gingerly? You're small, you.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Know, small for a grown man.
- 1:08:04Speaker 1: Yes, and I haven't read with a lot of guys.
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: Well you run read letter. What these little toes got
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: to do with it? You know what I'm saying? Yeah,
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: I got small toes for a man, but that's because
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: I done tore off all these sheets from all these
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: gripping I've been doing up in my life. You know
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: what I mean, These toes is stunted because I don't
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: have to stand up on them because I be standing
- 1:08:24Speaker 2: up in it. So now I done gotten crushed my
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: toes down. Girl. I'm just you know how you know
- 1:08:29Speaker 2: how hard it is to be this size and try
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: to explain this to people. You know what I mean?
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: So you know, baby, I'm just you know small, I
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: got these small toes. But now I don't know what
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: you're talking about because everything else got everything else girl, short, yeah, yeah,
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: short toes.
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: I'm trying.
- 1:08:56Speaker 2: I'm really trying to briefly say, you so much.
- 1:09:00Speaker 3: Not it.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: You're not taking my breath away at you can't talk.
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: That's what I do. I gets, that's that's just it.
- 1:09:09Speaker 1: You don't let nobody talk you over.
- 1:09:11Speaker 2: No, no, no, because I don't want you because I
- 1:09:15Speaker 2: know you having trouble describing what's happening to you. To
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: try to help it out, you know what I'm saying,
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: But you're just loud.
- 1:09:22Speaker 7: I'm trying to communicate with you and tell you how
- 1:09:25Speaker 7: we can make communicate.
- 1:09:26Speaker 2: Baby. Go ahead, Okay, okay, I'm listening, but I don't
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: hear nothing because in my mind, I hear mold my mind.
- 1:09:33Speaker 2: I hear satisfaction, mid I hear gratitude. I hear in
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: my mind, I hear Oh Lord, I can't take no more.

- 1:12:58Speaker 2: marshmallows on top of it, keep yours at the house too.

- 1:13:07Speaker 7: Do I pack the greens or bring them all the plane,

- 1:13:22Speaker 1: What about the potato cent Oh.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: That's got to be in my backpack. I'm not letting
- 1:13:29Speaker 2: that out of my.
- 1:13:32Speaker 1: To the house.
- 1:13:33Speaker 2: That's a solid, but you're gonna have to be careful.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: Everybody can't make potato.
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: Yeah, got Thanksgiving?
- 1:13:41Speaker 8: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Okay, so Steve,

- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Though.
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: We're planning to visit them for Thanksgiving, but it's.
- 1:13:57Speaker 8: Been made clear that we will still need to have
- 1:14:01Speaker 8: separate bedrooms because we're still not married. This has been
- 1:14:05Speaker 8: a thing with them ever since we got together three
- 1:14:07Speaker 8: years ago.
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: I'm over it. I know this will be the last
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: time for this.
- 1:14:10Speaker 8: But I've suggested to her that we act like grown
- 1:14:13Speaker 8: ups and get a hotel so we don't have to
- 1:14:15Speaker 8: play along with rules we both think are stupid. She
- 1:14:18Speaker 8: thinks that her parents will be insulted if we don't stay.
- 1:14:21Speaker 8: I think they'll get over it if they're insulted.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: What do you think, uncle, Steve?
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: Well, I think you gotta respect the rules of the house. Man, Yeah,
- 1:14:30Speaker 2: and all it is is just one weekend and just
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: play it like that man just honored. It's just a system. Man,
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: they old school. You gotta respect this man in this
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: woman's house and they rules in they house. And if
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: you're the fiance, that's cool. Man, y'all still gonna be fiance.
- 1:14:47Speaker 2: You can miss from you can miss one weekend, just
- 1:14:50Speaker 2: three days. It's a whole lot of times after you
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: get married. You ain't gonna have sex, doll whole lots,
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: so get ready. It's a whole lot. Ask all you want.
- 1:14:59Speaker 2: It ain't happening to night, so give practicing. You heard
- 1:15:03Speaker 2: what says it's a whole lot of weekends. I just
- 1:15:05Speaker 2: got in here and getting miss seven.
- 1:15:07Speaker 6: It's gonna be more than weekends. It's gonna be week week.
- 1:15:11Speaker 6: Stay with me week.
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: Got to say nothing with you.
- 1:15:16Speaker 8: I'm surprised you could say it'll.
- 1:15:20Speaker 2: We put it on whole for weeks, like y'all tired,
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: got all this pressure. I'll be going, okay, did you
- 1:15:25Speaker 2: touch the stomach? And then he rolled over the other ways? Hey, hey, hey,
- 1:15:29Speaker 2: hate the same place for that, you stomach. If you
- 1:15:34Speaker 2: want to get your damn hands off of me, all right.
- 1:15:39Speaker 3: Uh.
- 1:15:39Speaker 8: This one's from Raquel on Facebook. Raquel says, I've been
- 1:15:43Speaker 8: at my job for over five years. In the last
- 1:15:45Speaker 8: couple of years, there have been a lot of changes
- 1:15:47Speaker 8: and I feel like all the pressure for my department
- 1:15:50Speaker 8: to perform falls on me.
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: The stress has really been getting to me lately.
- 1:15:55Speaker 3: We now have.
- 1:15:57Speaker 2: Go ahead.
- 1:15:59Speaker 8: I now have aportunity to switch jobs to a field
- 1:16:01Speaker 8: that I've always thought I would enjoy.
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: But I'd be taking a significant pay cut.
- 1:16:06Speaker 8: I've done the math, and I'll still be able to
- 1:16:08Speaker 8: pay my bills, but I'll be saving a lot less.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: How do I decide what would be the best decision.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: I'm not taking a pay cut. That's not what else
- 1:16:19Speaker 2: you never do. Yeah, we're witnesses of that. Yeah, give
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: me the person I'm not taking pay cut.
- 1:16:27Speaker 14: Okay, But she said she'd enjoy this job, she'd enjoy
- 1:16:30Speaker 14: this job a lot, go and enjoy.
- 1:16:31Speaker 2: Yeah, well you can stop enjoying some of those stuff too.
- 1:16:34Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: Well, you ain't gonna be able to go go shopping
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: moment as much, and you ain't gonna be eat his
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: groceries and cut back on groceries. Get you an efficiency.
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: You had to get out that two bedroom you got.
- 1:16:47Speaker 2: You ain't got no more space, you ain't all it.
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: So what's up?
- 1:16:51Speaker 8: So how does she make a decision on what's the
- 1:16:53Speaker 8: best thing that she should do? Because She sounds like
- 1:16:56Speaker 8: she wants to go to this new position, and she
- 1:16:58Speaker 8: says she can pay all her but she just won't
- 1:17:01Speaker 8: have enough to save.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: She'll be saving all.
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Right, Well you ain't gonna have the more saving. Gon
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: take the new job.
- 1:17:07Speaker 1: Well save, don't say it with an aude.
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I just told you what I would do. I
- 1:17:15Speaker 2: would stay with the job that paid the most and
- 1:17:17Speaker 2: deal with this pressure. You want to go where you
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: like to work, then going to go where you like
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: to work, and you're gonna be able to save less.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: If you want to be really successful in life, you
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: gotta get comfortable being uncomfortable. It's uncomfortable. It's more pressure.
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: It's all on you. That's what it is. When you
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: want more, get more, it take more. Now what you
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: want me to say? So now you don't want all that,
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: go get the ease ass job. You gonna mess around
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: beating fried cook in a minute. Ain't no pressure back there.
- 1:17:43Speaker 2: All you gotta do is listen funny things and take
- 1:17:45Speaker 2: them fries right about that all and hanging on that hook,
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: let them drain off it and put them in the band.
- 1:17:50Speaker 2: Throw some song in that basket.
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: So you're telling her to stay where she is.
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: I mean she could say is God and said my
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: answer shit, and I not to be clear? I am
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: clear as hell. All right, come, are going back to.

- 1:18:44Speaker 1: So yeah, so I'm gonna ask you right now. Yeah,
- 1:18:48Speaker 1: it does, and the food gets cool cold.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: Everything that's important you ain't important to everybody else, right?

- 1:24:23Speaker 7: Your donation puts presents under the tree today and food

- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Help a neighbor in need through the holidays and beyond.
- 1:24:43Speaker 8: All Right, guys, here we are, last break of the day.
- 1:24:46Speaker 8: As always, it's been a good day. And Steve, we
- 1:24:50Speaker 8: have one more phone call for you before we get
- 1:24:52Speaker 8: out harder. This is a guy who needs some life
- 1:24:56Speaker 8: motivational advice.
- 1:24:58Speaker 5: Hey, we're going on keeping doing to Hey, I made
- 1:25:03Speaker 5: a quick question. Man, I feel like I have a
- 1:25:06Speaker 5: calling on I know I have a calling on my
- 1:25:08Speaker 5: life because so it burns inside of me when I
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: when I think about it. You know what I'm saying
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: that I have a calling on my life and I
- 1:25:16Speaker 5: believe it not only your h put me and my
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: family on a different level, but it will also help
- 1:25:23Speaker 5: a lot of other people. But I'm not being consistent
- 1:25:26Speaker 5: about it.
- 1:25:27Speaker 3: I'm being just a dating.
- 1:25:28Speaker 16: About it and I'm not I'm not going after it
- 1:25:31Speaker 16: like I should what you should. Just I can do
- 1:25:33Speaker 16: to keep me focused and keep me consistent about it
- 1:25:37Speaker 16: and keep pushing forward. About it, Appreciate it, any dance,
- 1:25:41Speaker 16: thank you something.
- 1:25:42Speaker 2: It's very simple. What I answer I'm about to give you.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: It's very simple, but it's hard. You have to become disciplined.
- 1:25:51Speaker 2: Discipline is doing what you have to do even when
- 1:25:53Speaker 2: you don't want to. See. To answer the calling on
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: your life, it requires some discipline because that calling. You
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: don't want all to come with the calling. I've oftentimes
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: not wanted everything that comes with my calling, but it
- 1:26:09Speaker 2: eats away at you. You have to answer the call.
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: You not answer the call. You just said, brother, it
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: will make a better way for your family, your life
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: and everything. But you also are looking at the requirements,
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: and that's what's got you shaky. You ain't consistent because
- 1:26:28Speaker 2: you wake up some days and you just don't want
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: to do that today. Discipline is doing what you have
- 1:26:33Speaker 2: to do even when you don't want to do it.
- 1:26:37Speaker 2: So bruh, you have to become disciplined. Discipline is the
- 1:26:41Speaker 2: key to becoming successful. Without discipline, you cannot become successful.
- 1:26:47Speaker 2: You just can't. And discipline is hard to do. Discipline
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: is hard to develop. It's hard to wake up and
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: do something that you have to do, do something you
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: don't want to do and how to do it anyway.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: It's hard, man, But those that honor the discipline are
- 1:27:06Speaker 2: the ones that have different types of lives. You get
- 1:27:10Speaker 2: to make that choice. God gives us the power of decision.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: We all get to decide who we are, what we
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: gonna be, and the moment you stop trying, you have
- 1:27:21Speaker 2: to now make the adjustment to settle in, well, this
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: is my life. If you say this is my life,
- 1:27:28Speaker 2: this is what I've resigned myself too, then that's guess what.
- 1:27:31Speaker 2: That's what your life is to be. And if you
- 1:27:34Speaker 2: ain't happy with it, that's your decision. God ain't stopped
- 1:27:39Speaker 2: you from dreaming. God didn't stop you from believing you did.
- 1:27:44Speaker 2: That's yourself. When you stop dreaming, that's you. When you
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: quit believing, that's you. That decision occurs in your mind,
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: between your tim and your earloads. Those decisions are made
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: up there. You You, You are the farming of your brain.
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: You just have to understand that your brain is operated
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: in two halves. You have a positive side and a
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: negative side. A foreman is in charge of the negative side,
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: and a foreman is in charge of the positive side,
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: and a foreman is in charge of the negative side,
- 1:28:31Speaker 2: who you called to the forefront to give instructions to
- 1:28:34Speaker 2: every day. Because you're the CEO, you're the boss. If
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: you say, well, man, I done walk up on the
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: wrong side of the bed, Man, I don't feel myself today,
- 1:28:43Speaker 2: then guess what. That's a negative thought. The foreman that's
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: in charge of the negative sides come to the front
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: of your brain and starts issuing workers artists today. Well,
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: boss man said he got up on the wrong side
- 1:28:54Speaker 2: of the bed today. Boss man said he don't feel
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: himself today. Let's get to work and the workers on
- 1:28:59Speaker 2: the negative side, and the brain starts manufacturing thoughts to
- 1:29:03Speaker 2: justify and fulfill the command of the CEO. On the
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: other hand, if you wake up and say, Lord, I
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: thank you for this day. I'm grateful. I'm expecting great
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: things to happen to me. I'm looking for a life
- 1:29:17Speaker 2: of abundance, and if anything happens contrary to that, I
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: expect you to give me the strength and the will
- 1:29:24Speaker 2: and the discipline to forge forward. Guess what. The foreman
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: that's in charge of positive thoughts turns around and says, okay,
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: fellas you heard the CEO today, gonna be a great
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: day today. We expect great things today, and if anything
- 1:29:37Speaker 2: were to happen, he gonna give us the strength and
