- 0:02Last time on No. Latency best we blow this place
- 0:06to hell. Huh.
- 0:07I just hope they get to tell each other that they loved each
- 0:09other. At least they're together again.
- 0:11None of this can get out. There's drones in there.
- 0:14Damaged drones? Suppressing fire.
- 0:16Nice Iona. Sing it a song.
- 0:17With my 64 Impala. It was really good.
- 0:20That's. Pretty good open sesame.
- 0:21That's all I see. Wow, that's never actually
- 0:24worked for me well. How am I supposed to know that?
- 0:27Well, your song probably Hell. Oh, I've made money.
- 0:30What is the point of having a code if it doesn't work on every
- 0:33single door? So many drones, I can't see a
- 0:35door. Are you seeing what I'm seeing
- 0:36through this window? Bowling Howdy, because I've got
- 0:38a lot of pod people out there. Wait, what?
- 0:41Come, Come. Come.
- 0:42Look. They're monologuing.
- 0:43This is going to be good. They call me retro, not sleeper.
- 0:46What's up? They're not talking to you.
- 0:49Oh. Doctor Abbott is suspended in a
- 1:03slightly different pod, connected with way more wires to
- 1:06a bunch of machines around them, And inside the pod you see that
- 1:11they are just a torso and a head.
- 1:13They have no arms and no legs, and they're floating serenely in
- 1:17the liquid. Whenever they talk, their eyes
- 1:19glow, but their mouth does not move because it's covered with a
- 1:22a piece a. Piece of what?
- 1:24Like a rebreather. Oh.
- 1:31I have. Never seen anything like this.
- 1:35Has. Am I able to like once again
- 1:38from my medical expertise, like figure out what is happening
- 1:48with Doctor Abbott? Essentially, I'm going to use my
- 1:51medical expertise to try to figure out what's going on with
- 1:56Doctor. I want to roll to see what the
- 2:00fuck's going on. Essentially, yes.
- 2:03We roll 21. Doctor Abbott is hooked up by a
- 2:06lot of cables coming out of the back of their head.
- 2:09Like, a lot. And they're connected through
- 2:11the ground, through other wires that head to a room to the West,
- 2:15and to each of these pods. And there are a bunch of pods in
- 2:18here. There are 22 pods in total and
- 2:23ten of them are dark. Everybody sidebar, sidebar,
- 2:26Everyone come in real quick sidebar, sidebar.
- 2:29Please formally call commissioner at sidebar.
- 2:35History and experience so far, I feel dictates that.
- 2:40We should blow this place up and not really worry about anything
- 2:43else. I mean, for sure that's on the
- 2:45agenda. I'm just saying figure
- 2:49surrounded by others floating in technology tube usually screams
- 2:56bad. We might, we might want to run
- 2:59away. I think so.
- 3:00Sasha died and said that they saw a horrible thing, which was
- 3:04probably this and. You know what else?
- 3:06They say it. They say it, just blow it up,
- 3:09don't even worry about it. So I'm inclined to.
- 3:12Think that. OK, but we have to get the, the,
- 3:15the suit right. We have to get the thing for.
- 3:19Domino. For Domino Sleeper.
- 3:22I am not here to hurt you. Can everyone hear that?
- 3:26Yes, why? Does it get sleeper?
- 3:28Go ahead and just I say fuck right off and let's blow this
- 3:33bitch. Let's.
- 3:34Not piss them off. What?
- 3:36What do you want? I'm Doctor Abbott.
- 3:40I know who you are. Yes, the real question is, do
- 3:45you know who you are? Oh God.
- 3:48What? This is getting deep.
- 3:50I have a suspicion. That's a sleeper.
- 3:54I'm aware. Oh, they're aware, and I own as
- 3:57a sleeper. OK, there's two.
- 3:58Sides of the coin. I mean, I was hoping to get a
- 4:01nap in, but what's this about sleeping?
- 4:04What does the sleeper mean? What do?
- 4:06What do they do? What's their role?
- 4:08The Sleeper is part of a biotechnical project for Memento
- 4:12jobs and of course the main arbiter and Proctor of the
- 4:16Custodian project. Mommy.
- 4:21Indeed. I don't understand though.
- 4:25So they're the but you didn't create this Iona.
- 4:30You're not I I don't. I don't quite know either it's.
- 4:36Did did Biotechnica make Iona like the start of this or so I
- 4:42don't. The Custodian project takes care
- 4:45of the maintenance of facilities like this.
- 4:48Now that the Custodian is out of the picture control to the CADS
- 4:53and two very small number of the drums has been transferred to
- 4:58me. I'm not following someone want
- 5:02to. Can someone put this into plain
- 5:04English for me? Are you going to let us run the
- 5:07CAD system? Absolutely, but I can't do
- 5:11anything until we get rid of the frog.
- 5:13And where is frog? I have managed to keep Frog in
- 5:16the frog lab. Now that I'm not dealing with
- 5:19the custodian, I can fully keep them locked down.
- 5:23Oh, well, if you got them locked down, then all right, we can
- 5:26just go. There, right.
- 5:27Take care of them then, yeah. Can we just go in there, take
- 5:31care of frog and then do the CAD thing?
- 5:34My ability to keep him subdued is strenuous, and every time he
- 5:40pushes against me I have to consume one of my scientists.
- 5:46OK, you've consumed 10 so far. Yes, and died three times.
- 5:52Oh my gosh. What's What's so bad about this
- 5:56frog man? He's an AI.
- 5:59Uh huh. And you're just to be clear,
- 6:01you're not an AI. No, I am somewhat humid.
- 6:05You are. You are.
- 6:06You are an AI? No.
- 6:08I'm human. Mostly at this point.
- 6:11Indeed, Frog thought he had me, but I had an ace up my sleeve.
- 6:16Oh, what? What's?
- 6:17What's frog I won't liar like? What's What's this frog's
- 6:22desire? The technology I developed to
- 6:25integrate flesh with a cerebral with no latency that was
- 6:32accidental. Have you been to the bar?
- 6:36I'm. Aware of its existence.
- 6:40I wish you could have seen it. It would have been nice.
- 6:48I can see that it's happening. Is there anything we should know
- 6:50before we go well? I'm here to answer anything you
- 6:54want. Frog and I are at a stalemate.
- 6:58I can hold him back for a little while, but when I run out of
- 7:01scientists, he'll overtake the whole facility.
- 7:06And we don't want that. Why?
- 7:09Because then he'll actually get out.
- 7:11Oh, no, but we're going to blow it up, you see.
- 7:14Yes, but if I need control, he'll get control.
- 7:17We need Abbott and we need to blow up the station.
- 7:20Oh. Shit.
- 7:21We. Do you do you mind dying in the
- 7:25process? Is is that all right with you?
- 7:26I've already. Died.
- 7:28Three times. Because we could just, you could
- 7:30just tell us how to do it and then we'll just kind of you
- 7:32know. Frog didn't think I had that
- 7:36little trick again up my sleeve. We'll deal with Frog and when we
- 7:42come back we should get some answers.
- 7:47I should get some answers. Yes, I won't be able to leave
- 7:52the this facility as just a torso.
- 7:54Well, we could get you a hand. I have a head already, cowboy.
- 7:58Are you fucking? Blind.
- 7:59I thought you said you weren't, you weren't going to be able to
- 8:01go out with with just a torso. And I say, well, we can get you
- 8:04a hand. I already have one of those.
- 8:06I don't have arms or legs. Are you blind?
- 8:09Should we? Could we put you on a frame?
- 8:12Currently there's only enough materials to make one frame, and
- 8:17even then, unfortunately using the energy is torturous.
- 8:24Well, what if what if we were to get you some arms and legs from
- 8:29one of your scientists and just kind of graft them onto you?
- 8:32I mean, clearly we there the. Scientists have infused to the
- 8:35part. What about, oh, hold on, what
- 8:38about? What about Ashley?
- 8:40Or what's? What was what was, what was
- 8:44their name? Alice.
- 8:46Alice. Sasha.
- 8:48Well, either one really. Sasha, Mainly because I saw that
- 8:51they had all their legs and arms.
- 8:54I don't know. You want to try it?
- 8:58Would be a very convoluted process, but I if I leave this
- 9:02part front, front front front front front.
- 9:06Front and the room starts to blow.
- 9:09Oh gosh, we should go. In one of the gods.
- 9:12Behind. Abbott and the scientist begins
- 9:15to scream. His whole body bursts with
- 9:17energy. An Abbott winces.
- 9:20It pops Into Darkness. OK, he didn't kill me again.
- 9:29If you're going to anything, now is your time to ask me.
- 9:32Knowledge is power when it comes to fighting AIS.
- 9:36Is it like a like a a Rumpelstilson kind of situation,
- 9:39We kind of know their real name and then it gives us power over
- 9:42Limor? No.
- 9:44While I push against him, he may be able to be destroyed, but
- 9:50currently I'm using all of my strength to do that.
- 9:52So he's got control of the submarine systems and the
- 9:56outside turrets and defences, as well as the beasts.
- 10:00The beasts. Yes, the beasts suggest.
- 10:07What do you mean at the bees? Like the like the water bees.
- 10:10They're just machines. They're designed to consume the
- 10:14leftover body parts and reconstitute them as something
- 10:16we can feed to the battery. Oh my God, that's grotesque.
- 10:22Yes, Frog's idea, not mine. Yeah.
- 10:27But. As long as I have scientists, my
- 10:30little ace up my sleeve will mean until they're gone for a
- 10:35contact me. Right.
- 10:36What's your ace? Oh, I have a chip.
- 10:39What kind of chip? I have a relic chip.
- 10:42You have a relic chip. I stole it.
- 10:45From Michael. Iris.
- 10:50Yeah, OK, sure, whatever. Yeah, like anybody really has a
- 10:53fucking relic chip. Do you know what I realize My my
- 10:59first year of medical school I had to write like some research
- 11:04paper on relic chips. Oh, so you know about it?
- 11:08Yeah, it's been a couple of years and you know, write papers
- 11:13and stuff. Like how much do you really like
- 11:16retain from from those kinds of research papers?
- 11:20Or was it a Did you did you publish?
- 11:21Because maybe we could just, you know, look at oh wait, no Wi-Fi.
- 11:25Damn it. Jeff, we have the author here.
- 11:28Why do we need to search? I mean, let me just access the
- 11:32old. They just said they weren't
- 11:33true. Archives up in here, she taps to
- 11:37her brain and see if I can remember. 17, yes.
- 11:42Finding Fresh Air Notes Cyberwear 102 Relic chip concept
- 11:47by Arasaka. First theorized in 2041.
- 11:50Designed as a way to continue to experience loved ones after
- 11:53death. Theoretically could be used to
- 11:55save brain. Patent as a four dimensional
- 11:58anger and reload the patent on death.
- 12:00Active relic chip requires host or temperature controlled
- 12:04environment between 35.6 and 46.4°F.
- 12:10Currently only theoretical and years away from fabrication and
- 12:13production. Possible revenue in the
- 12:15trillions, barring a market ethics test, referred to in
- 12:18investor circles as a safe state for the biological mind.
- 12:23It's a safe state for your brain.
- 12:26That is an excellent analogy. Yeah, but I mean like is if I
- 12:33remember correctly that was, that's super top secret Arasaka
- 12:37stuff where they'd be having people like Sanos, siblings like
- 12:43guarding that. How did you get it?
- 12:46What matters is that I have it now, and with it I've been able
- 12:50to fight Frog on a level that he did not anticipate, even for an
- 12:56AI as powerful as him. By repeatedly dying and
- 12:59resurrecting via the relic chip. I just hoped that though I would
- 13:05find a way to solve the problem and.
- 13:08And what was that problem again? The whole facility.
- 13:12I mean, it surely is a problem, but yes, you're just talking
- 13:17about in general. The original intention of this
- 13:20facility was to make it easier for people to have limbs again.
- 13:25All right. Well.
- 13:27My idea was twisted. Yeah, When did we change over to
- 13:31harnessing people as a power source as?
- 13:34Soon as they put me in this pod. OK.
- 13:37So not on you. No, that's good at least.
- 13:41My technology was based under the Rand protocol.
- 13:48Clock Iron Rand. A little result applied yields
- 13:54necessary data when it comes to the technology.
- 14:01The end justifies the needs with some events.
- 14:06OK, that kind of seems maybe ethically problematic, but you
- 14:11know, I'm not going to say nothing.
- 14:13So, OK, all we have to do. Kill Frog allows us to access
- 14:18the CAD system. Blow this fucker up.
- 14:21There's still something we're missing on all of this.
- 14:25What are we missing? What's that?
- 14:28We're looking for something. It's the frame.
- 14:31Oh, right. Yes.
- 14:33So. It's in the the bottom in the
- 14:37tank. It's at the battery bottom of
- 14:40the facility. Yes, so we need to.
- 14:44Go. Get that as well before we cat
- 14:46this place. So deal with Frog first, then.
- 14:49Get the frame. Get the frame.
- 14:52Blow. This place to the.
- 14:53Kingdom's other ends. Yes.
- 14:56When you've got what you need and Frog is destroyed, I'll have
- 14:58full control of the facility. OK.
- 15:01Come back here, let me know and I'll flip the switch.
- 15:06Go down with the ship all. Right.
- 15:10Thank you. Someone's got to be here now
- 15:13that the custodian is gone. And that's going to be you.
- 15:17Yes. And all right.
- 15:19Unless you want to hook up to this pod cowboy.
- 15:22No, no, I'm, I'm, I'm, I'm just fine.
- 15:24Thanks. The only request I have is that
- 15:29when everything is done, you've got.
- 15:31To pull the chip, we'll take the chip.
- 15:34Otherwise I'll just die over and over again until it finally runs
- 15:37out of power. Yeah, not not ideal, honestly.
- 15:43No, it doesn't get any easier. I swear it's more painful every
- 15:48time. We should go.
- 15:50Yeah, probably. There's a frog pass in the desk
- 15:54in the other room. It should get you down to that
- 15:57level. Be careful, he's very conniving.
- 16:02And remember, if you do need some power every time you use
- 16:06power, any major use of power costs human life and suffering.
- 16:12The people in the country feel the drain.
- 16:16Oh my, Why'd you have to say that?
- 16:18I mean like we're not looking to use power.
- 16:21The cats is the most humane way to end their suffering.
- 16:26Well, I mean, I guess we go back to plan A, which again was we're
- 16:32blowing this place up, sounds like a plan, it has been.
- 16:38We're going, we're going. We're going.
- 16:42We're going. We're going.
- 16:45We're going. Grabbing the frog pass.
- 16:50You grab the frog pass from the desk, head through the facility.
- 16:55Do you want to do anything else on this floor?
- 16:58Oh goodness, is there anything of use in the vending machines
- 17:03that were in the corridor as we came through?
- 17:06As you pass back, oh, that's slow.
- 17:11Oh, that's A1 and A2. As you head back towards the
- 17:14elevator, you pass two vending machines on your left, both of
- 17:16which are dark. The refrigeration unit on them
- 17:20has died and the food inside has spoiled.
- 17:24All right. And get in the elevator.
- 17:28Are you guys coming? Yep.
- 17:31Yep. And you get in the elevator.
- 17:33Are you ready? Going down.
- 17:36You beep the frog pass on the computer and the door closes and
- 17:41you descend. What would you do if you found
- 17:54yourself in an unfamiliar land? I'm from Evermead Isle.
- 17:59What about What about Gratita? Anybody.
- 18:01Heard of Gratita? So we're from different places
- 18:04How? Like different worlds.
- 18:08Abducted from your home world and trapped in a prison with no
- 18:12possible escape. That's against the Geneva
- 18:15Convention. I don't know what that is.
- 18:17That doesn't exist here. You know someone named in
- 18:20Geneva? Is she dead?
- 18:22I don't know. They beat her up a little bit
- 18:24and then they took her. I don't know where she.
- 18:26Is. She could very well be dead.
- 18:30You you guys like beating up smaller creatures, huh?
- 18:34What of it? It's none of your business and
- 18:36he's going to flick your nose. Great.
- 18:39I punch him directly in the mouth.
- 18:41Out of me, anything rise to the challenge.
- 18:46My first role. Of this series.
- 18:49He's a one. Oh yeah, that's good luck.
- 18:52To escape this hell. And you're locked into solitary
- 18:56for three days, trapped in a room no bigger than a broom
- 19:00closet. It fucking sucks here, DM.
- 19:03And find. A way home?
- 19:06Let's start a fucking riot. Find your way home this June
- 19:1116th on Save the D 8th. Epic.
- 19:29The elevator descends and you arrive at Frog Lab.
- 19:35Fuck, this is huge. Do we need a plan before we go
- 19:41in? I'm all for it, but what kind of
- 19:44plan do we need to make? What do we know about this frog?
- 19:50He's connected to the whole facility, which means any
- 19:55weaponry installed in or around the labs are accessible to him.
- 20:03The drones, however, I believe Abbott said, were connected to
- 20:06her so we don't have to worry about them anymore.
- 20:09Although I think that the green drones were a few that were
- 20:14controlled by Frog, but I think, I think Abbott said that the the
- 20:17the drones were mostly under their control, so we probably
- 20:20have nothing. To worry about.
- 20:21If we come across a a froggy green drone, it is not for us,
- 20:26right? Green bad.
- 20:28Got it. OK.
- 20:31I don't know what else we can do in preparation.
- 20:35Yeah, I say. We just go in.
- 20:37Vendel, before we go, please apply this medical pack that you
- 20:45have. OK, 2D6.
- 20:48Do I roll it? You can.
- 20:51Sure, 2D6. Nice.
- 20:55They gained 7 health is. That good?
- 20:58That basically puts them back up 123-4567 groups.
- 21:04Does everyone have their Shields available?
- 21:08How are have you reloaded your magazines?
- 21:12I just. Want us to be slowly repaired?
- 21:14My Shields ain't, well, rather my armor ain't looking too good,
- 21:18but I'm not sure how much we can change that down here.
- 21:22Not really. Yeah, I.
- 21:24Don't know what do what do y'all think, just go for it.
- 21:28I'm just checking my equipment, making sure everything.
- 21:30Works are good. I'm yeah, I think I I.
- 21:35Have incendiary bullets. Oh, nice.
- 21:40I'm going to. I'm going to load those in.
- 21:43That's probably really smart. Well, wait, have a lot of these
- 21:45creatures wet? I mean, we are underwater, so
- 21:51there's that. Also the bolter.
- 21:56Might. Be of use?
- 21:58I'm not sure that's all you, Remy.
- 22:03Oh yeah, I'll try to do what I can.
- 22:08Listen, this could be very dangerous and I want all of you
- 22:14to do your best to make it out alive, OK?
- 22:17I want everyone to get out alive.
- 22:19You're. You're scaring me, Iona.
- 22:22You don't need to be scared. We will do our best to protect
- 22:26you. You are too good for this world.
- 22:29You step into the Frog lab lobby and in this space there's a
- 22:34large blue stripe on the floor that leads all the way to the
- 22:39West. Further into the room you can
- 22:42see a computer at a desk To your left is a sub Bay airlock and
- 22:46there are 4 vending machines in here.
- 22:49At the very end of the room is an open space where there's just
- 22:52water, just a big old area of water, and on the other side of
- 22:57this area of water you can see a door.
- 23:01Has the GM given us a what do you call it?
- 23:07Like a a room full of ammo and goodies and Med packs and stuff
- 23:12like you do before you go into a big battle.
- 23:15If you check the vending machines and you roll, well,
- 23:17perhaps. Perhaps perchance maybe.
- 23:21Yes. For each vending machine, one of
- 23:24you may roll AD 10 or well, we'll find things.
- 23:29But there are only four vending machines, so choose wisely.
- 23:33So roll AD 10. I I've picked my vending
- 23:36machine. Remy got to pick a vending
- 23:38machine. Retro, you rolled A4.
- 23:42Do you find 10 ammo? Yay 10 ammo.
- 23:46Great. Jeb goes up to a vending machine
- 23:49that he picks, and as he walks up to it, it is off and
- 23:53everything in it is ruined. Ah.
- 23:55Well, yeah. Iona vending machine you check
- 24:00because you're old in eight has a Med pack in it.
- 24:03Oh heck yes. Phoebe, there's one vending
- 24:05machine left. Do you want it?
- 24:07Yes, I'll take a look. Oh.
- 24:10Let's go. All right.
- 24:12That's a crit, so roll it again. All right.
- 24:17Yeah. All right.
- 24:18Pretty good. Yeah, you find two Med packs.
- 24:22One of them is a quick Med pack, and you'd be able to apply it
- 24:26mid combat for a bonus action as you oh.
- 24:29Wow, there's a Med pack in this one.
- 24:31A quick one, A quick Med pack in this one.
- 24:33Oh, the quick packs. Those are cool.
- 24:34Yeah, you know about them. Yeah, I'm cool, Yeah.
- 24:39I know that's a good thing about.
- 24:41Quick packs. You've seen me do like a
- 24:42cartwheel. I'm.
- 24:45Spry and shit. Always good to have a quickie.
- 24:47This is true. You never know when somebody's
- 24:49going to be injured and you need a quickie.
- 24:52It looks like we're going to have to find a way to get across
- 24:54this water. How big is this water?
- 24:57Too big? Last time we got close to water
- 24:59it was bad, so maybe that's too bad.
- 25:01Yeah, back up. You don't know what's lurking in
- 25:03there. Here's an idea.
- 25:06We push the desk in as a decoy. As a decoy.
- 25:12And make our way across. I had no.
- 25:18Idea how you're going to tackle that as a.
- 25:20Crack are. You going to try and use the
- 25:21desk as a bridge? No, the dusk is too small.
- 25:26But here's the thing. We push the desk in, the water
- 25:31monster attacks it because it thinks that it's a body, and
- 25:34then we scurry our way across the back of said water monster.
- 25:40OK. Vendel places the computer on
- 25:43the ground and drags the desk. Don't.
- 25:46Get out. Get away.
- 25:47Got it. You're so strong, Bendel.
- 25:49Oh. You know, Jeb, do you want to
- 25:51help? Of course I'm on, Dale.
- 25:56Well, they're doing that. I'm going to go look at what
- 25:57this door does. The door to the South is an
- 26:00airlock door and it's currently locked.
- 26:06Well, it's an airlock. I don't need anything out there.
- 26:10I think I'm fine with that. That water can stay out there.
- 26:14Vendel and Jeb roll athletics. Jeb, if you could just Yep, Yep,
- 26:22do it in silence. Nice, nice.
- 26:26Rendell and Jeb pushed this desk into the water and you hear a
- 26:31beast under the water attack the desk with fervency.
- 26:37It doesn't. Jesus Christ.
- 26:38It doesn't surface or anything. It's now distracted by the desk.
- 26:44I jump in Olympic dive. Oh shit.
- 26:49OK, we're going jump in. Swim.
- 26:52Swim. Swim.
- 26:52Anybody who wants to cross the water roll athletics.
- 26:56Oh Lord. Swim, swim, swim.
- 26:59Nice job. You have such great form.
- 27:03You know what? Honestly, I prefer the
- 27:06butterfly. Yeah.
- 27:09Yeah. OK.
- 27:13As the water splashes around you, Iona, you don't get a good
- 27:20foot in this water. It's very cold and you start to
- 27:23splash erratically. Jeb, you make it to the other
- 27:27side absolutely fine with your crip.
- 27:30VV does the same. VV does the same.
- 27:33Rolling in 18. Retro hasn't tried to yet, but
- 27:36Vendel and Iona in the water are a little stuck.
- 27:42You can hear a growling under the water.
- 27:45Oh no, Iona, there's more than one.
- 27:49I'm thinking I'm thinking I'll grab.
- 27:52Your aid. Rachel, are you doing anything
- 27:54in this moment? I am.
- 27:55Let me think, please. Could you let me fucking think
- 27:59for a moment? Jesus Christ, I know I'm also
- 28:03thinking. No, I can't do that shit.
- 28:09I've got it. I will continue to splash and
- 28:17kick as much as I can to make a distraction.
- 28:20So Vendel, make it across what iota?
- 28:23And then no, if and when said monster comes for me, oh, I'm
- 28:30going to do my best to pull one of the fool hoods out, OK, and
- 28:38slide it over its muzzle. That's brilliant.
- 28:42Wow. Roll Athletics for Vendel and
- 28:45something for yourself. All right, buddy.
- 28:49Athletics. There you go.
- 28:51It's a little slightly better. It's slightly better, but the
- 28:54combination of both of those and the gift you gave by distracting
- 28:57the monster means Vendel gets to the other side.
- 29:01OK, Iona quickly. You, on the other hand, are now
- 29:05being approached by a shadow water.
- 29:09Don't. Don't.
- 29:11Don't. Don't, don't.
- 29:12Don't. OK, I think I know what I want
- 29:14to do. I'm going to use my grapple arm,
- 29:20which I think I have 10. Yeah, I have enough length to
- 29:26grapple to the opposite floor, well to the opposite side, and
- 29:33use that, use the retract motion to drag me along.
- 29:39So I'm like water skiing over the water, at the same time
- 29:42reaching my other hand out to grab Iona to pull them along.
- 29:47Sounds. Good, so as this is happening.
- 29:51And I just I just do it so. Yeah, but you roll stuff.
- 29:54Oh, I. Don't have to roll for it, I
- 29:56just do it. That's not how a role-playing
- 29:59game works. Oh.
- 30:02I mean, sometimes it is. It's literally it's literally a
- 30:05role-playing game. Retro, you rolled 33.
- 30:09Your grapple arm flies across the room, rolling 33.
- 30:13It actually hits the console on the other side.
- 30:17Iona. You're attacked by a beast under
- 30:19the water, and Retro grabs you and you're dragged over as the
- 30:25grapple hand releases from the computer.
- 30:27A drawbridge gets released as you press the drawbridge release
- 30:31button, and as it shunts across the area, it catches a piece of
- 30:37the beast and it slices off a piece of with its tail and blood
- 30:40spurts across the top of the drawbridge.
- 30:45That was gross. You're right, Ayona.
- 30:52I but I lost one of the hoods. Well.
- 30:57We made it across that drawbridge in here.
- 31:01That's weird. Well, I mean, we are storming
- 31:04the castle. We are storming the castle.
- 31:10Everybody OK. Yeah, I think I'm all right.
- 31:13Yeah. I feel great, I'll say.
- 31:15I've got a little bit of a work out there, kind of stretched my
- 31:17arms. It was good.
- 31:19It's not bad. Well, let's continue to.
- 31:24Spectacles, Testicles, Wallet, Watch.
- 31:27Got it. Rock'n'roll, cowboy.
- 31:31Well, you're speaking my language now.
- 31:36You 2 do. I go up to the door.
- 31:39Roll perception. I will percept, I will do said
- 31:43perception. I don't know.
- 31:45Just like killing it with knowing where buttons are today.
- 31:48Yeah. 15 is the DV You can hear a hum from the other side.
- 31:55Is it electronic or melodic? It is electronic.
- 31:59So it sounds like. It's more.
- 32:15On the other side of the door. Weapons out.
- 32:19You got it. OK.
- 32:22Breach and clear. Yeah, I'm, I'm, I'm a bolt in.
- 32:27All right, kick the door open. Yeah.
- 32:30Oh, it's locked. Oh, my foot.
- 32:36Oh my. Foot OK, it's unlocked.
- 32:37Now you can do. This.
- 32:38All right. I kicked the door open.
- 32:40Yeah. Kick the door open and the room
- 32:42is filled with an eerie green light and they're strapped to a
- 32:46machine. At the very far end of the room
- 32:49is a giant mass of metal and flesh.
- 32:52This stretched, reconstituted human face looks you in your
- 32:57eyes and smiles. It sends a shiver up your spine.
- 33:02I was wondering how long it would take you to get here, you
- 33:10humans. Abbot.
- 33:13Can only hold. Me back for SO.
- 33:14Long and all they. Sent was this Oh.
- 33:18Jeez. There was no one else.
- 33:21We were the only options. Well, this is what the others
- 33:29are scared of. Five humans.
- 33:40All this effort, all this work to get down here.
- 33:46What are you all looking for? Shut the fuck up.
- 33:52Yeah, you telling boss? What do you need from this
- 33:58damned place? That's what the others don't
- 34:07know. But it matters not, because I'm
- 34:14going to kill you and bury your body at the bottom of the ocean.
- 34:22This place shall be your grave, you know that.
- 34:25What? It already would have been if I
- 34:30had full control. But that damn damage has been
- 34:33pushing back at me. I swear, I've killed her.
- 34:38I sent green drones to her, and then you fucked those up.
- 34:43But those are just drones. Now You have to go up against
- 34:46me. Oh, it's green because he's like
- 34:51a frog? No.
- 34:53Now, were you named frog because you were green, or is you know
- 34:57which came first, the chicken or the egg?
- 34:59No, cowboy, it's an AI thing. And honestly, I thought that the
- 35:06custodian would have taken you out, but it seems like you dealt
- 35:13with that problem. No matter.
- 35:17I'll just kill you myself. Roar for initiative.
- 35:25Oh fuck. Well, looks like we're going to
- 35:28have to totally fuck you up. Next time on no latency.
- 35:46Put your name on a VV. You know, I have a lot of things
- 35:49I need to keep track of. Toad's walk, Frog's Hawk.
- 35:52Go ahead and do that. I am going to take cover if
- 35:55that's all right. What about Jeb?
- 35:56Jeb's out there, right? What else am I good for really?
- 35:59I'm right here with you, Vendel. It sounds like a plan.
- 36:01Pretty good plan, Jeb. I'm just kidding.
- 36:04They're just batteries. They're like double ice.
- 36:06Exactly. I'm taking tactical cover.
- 36:08I also can't see I'm not in there.
- 36:10Should I? Also, shoot the creepy husk.
- 36:13Maybe you should be an Angel of mercy.
- 36:15Or an Angel of death. Your choice.
- 36:17You decided to shoot the one that can dodge bullets?
- 36:19Frog I. Mean that's on you?
- 36:21I have incendiary rounds. It smells like clove cigarettes.
- 36:25Oh man, nothing is scarier than just directly telling us that
- 36:29It's scary. It's all in the hips.
- 36:32I like it. I like it a lot.
- 36:34Shooting from the hip, it makes me feel powerful.
- 36:36All right, you take a shot and then I'll.
- 36:38I didn't see what happened. Still feeling froggy?
- 36:40Let's jump. Oh.
- 36:41Holy shit. I assume it was that.
