- 0:00Today's tech news moves fast, but understanding
- 0:03it shouldn't be hard. That's why Snarfl Solutions
- 0:06Group brings you Connecting the Dots, where we
- 0:09break down what's happening in tech and why it
- 0:11matters to you. Now, let's dive in with your
- 0:14hosts. Handing ChatGPT the password to your brokerage
- 0:20account, giving it just a loose set of instructions
- 0:22and telling it to go make you money while you
- 0:24sleep. Right, which sounds like an absolutely
- 0:26terrifying sci -fi premise. It really does. But
- 0:29as of this morning, that is a literal reality.
- 0:32We are stepping into an era where artificial
- 0:35intelligence doesn't just, you know, draft emails
- 0:37for you. It has its own wallet, its own budget.
- 0:40and the autonomy to spend real money. Well, it's
- 0:43a fundamental shift in how digital systems operate.
- 0:46The infrastructure for machines to pay other
- 0:48machines is going live today. And it's happening
- 0:51on the exact same day that the public markets
- 0:53are being tested by the largest, most complex
- 0:55initial public offering in human history. Welcome
- 0:58to Connecting the Dots. This is the Deep Dive
- 1:00where we take the day's biggest headlines, strip
- 1:03away all the jargon, and figure out what they
- 1:05actually mean for you, your investments, and
- 1:07your daily life. I'm Alex. And I'm Morgan. And
- 1:10we are broadcasting live from Smartful Solutions
- 1:12Group right here in Sacramento, California. Today
- 1:15is Friday, 2026 -0612. Yes. And before we unpack
- 1:19the massive AI shifts in that historic IPO dominating
- 1:23our Morningstar Tech article report today, Let's
- 1:26get you caught up on your morning numbers. You
- 1:29will definitely want to stay indoors today if
- 1:30you're in Sacramento. It is a total scorcher
- 1:32out there. Oh, absolutely. We're looking at sunny
- 1:34skies and a high of 101 degrees Fahrenheit with
- 1:38winds blowing somewhere between 2 and 13 miles
- 1:40per hour. So yeah, keep the AC running. Shifting
- 1:43over to the financial markets, yesterday brought
- 1:44some massive movements. Really massive. Yeah,
- 1:47the Dow had a huge day. up over 876 points to
- 1:51close at 50 ,848 .75. And the S &P 500 followed
- 1:56suit, jumping 106 points to finish at 7 ,394
- 2:00.30. Over in the crypto markets, things were
- 2:02slightly cooler, though. Bitcoin dipped by about
- 2:05$222 yesterday, opening today around $63 ,331
- 2:09.05. And a quick breather for our local sports
- 2:12fans out there. There were no games yesterday
- 2:13for the SF Giants, the Oakland A's, or the Sacramento
- 2:16Kings. Which is probably for the best. Totally.
- 2:18You can take a day off from stressing over the
- 2:20box scores, which is good because you are going
- 2:22to need all your mental bandwidth for the monumental
- 2:25tech shifts happening today. That is absolutely
- 2:28true. I mean, the entire financial and tech world
- 2:30is just laser focused on a collision of two massive
- 2:33forces right now, the rise of autonomous AI agents
- 2:36and a trillion dollar market debut. Today's episode
- 2:40is brought to you by Strong Coffee, the premium
- 2:43instant coffee that tastes like a traditional
- 2:44brew, but is packed with 15 grams of protein,
- 2:48MCTs and adaptogens like ashwagandha. Get clean,
- 2:51sustained energy without the jitters. Use promo

- 2:57.com. Let's get right into our tech report. We
- 3:00are tracking three major stories today that might
- 3:03seem separate at first glance, but they are actually
- 3:06deeply interconnected pieces of the exact same
- 3:08puzzle. OK, let's unpack this story. Number one,
- 3:10the economy just got its own wallet. It did.
- 3:13Coinbase officially launched a product called
- 3:16Coinbase for agents. Right. So in plain English,
- 3:18they build a tool that gives an AI assistant
- 3:20like Claude or chat GPT its very own access to
- 3:24a crypto account. It operates using something
- 3:26called the Buy402 Payment Protocol. Exactly.
- 3:30But before we get into the weeds of the protocol
- 3:32itself, we have to talk about the mechanics here.
- 3:35Yeah, because I look at this and my brain just
- 3:37starts flashing red warning lights. It feels
- 3:40like giving a corporate credit card to a piece
- 3:43of software living in the cloud. That's a very
- 3:46fair reaction. Right. My immediate concern is
- 3:48the hallucination factor. What physically prevents
- 3:51the AI from glitching out, making a terrible
- 3:54bet on some random volatile coin, and completely
- 3:57draining your account? Well, that is the crucial
- 3:59hurdle, and it's exactly why the engineering
- 4:01behind this launch is focused almost entirely
- 4:04on guardrails. Okay, so it's not a free -for
- 4:06-all. Definitely not. You aren't just handing
- 4:09over the master keys to your net worth. The platform
- 4:11forces you to run the AI in an isolated sandbox,
- 4:15a sub -account. Yeah, you establish strict, hard
- 4:18-coded boundaries on the blockchain itself. For
- 4:21instance, you set session caps, meaning the AI
- 4:24can only operate for a designated window of time.
- 4:26Oh, that makes sense. Right. And you set per
- 4:29-trade size limits, and you institute overall
- 4:31spending controls. The AI literally cannot see
- 4:34or access your main holdings. Okay, so it's basically
- 4:37giving your kid an allowance in cash. rather
- 4:40than handing them your platinum card. Even if
- 4:42they make a bad choice, the damage is capped
- 4:44at 20 bucks. Precisely. But what's fascinating
- 4:46is how the AI actually executes these transactions.
- 4:50This is where that buy 402 payment protocol comes
- 4:53in. Right. How does it actually pay for things?
- 4:56Well, normally when you use a blockchain network,
- 4:58every single transaction requires a small network
- 5:01fee, commonly known as gas. Sure, gas fees. They
- 5:04add up fast. Exactly. If an AI is making thousands
- 5:07of micro decisions a minute, say buying a tiny
- 5:10sliver of premium market data, adjusting a hedge
- 5:13and executing a trade, traditional gas fees would
- 5:16just instantly bankrupt the operation. Yeah,
- 5:18that would bleed the account dry in minutes.
- 5:20So Coinbase built this to run on the base network
- 5:23using USDC stable coins in a way that is entirely
- 5:27gasless. Wow, gasless. Yeah. the infrastructure
- 5:30absorbs that friction, allowing the AI to just
- 5:33operate fluidly without leading money on micro
- 5:36fees. I see. So you can give a specific mandate,
- 5:39like telling it to constantly rebalance your
- 5:41portfolio to maintain, say, 60 % Bitcoin, 20
- 5:43% Ethereum and 20 % Solana. And it just works
- 5:47away in the background. Exactly. Completely autonomously.
- 5:50But I do have to push back a bit on the novelty
- 5:51here. I mean, we've had algorithmic trading for
- 5:54Decades on Wall Street. Why is this sudden push
- 5:57for AI wallets such a massive headline today?
- 6:00Because we are watching the birth of the agentic
- 6:03economy. Algorithmic trading relies on rigid,
- 6:06pre -programmed rules. If X happens, do Y. Right.
- 6:09It's just code falling instructions. Exactly.
- 6:12But an AI agent is autonomous and adaptive. We
- 6:15are transitioning from a world where you use
- 6:17software to complete tasks to a world where software
- 6:19does the tasks for you entirely on its own. That
- 6:22is wild to think about. It is. But for these
- 6:25agents to be truly autonomous, they need to be
- 6:27able to transact. They need a budget. Think about
- 6:30it. Your digital assistant won't just scan your
- 6:32calendar and suggest a flight for your upcoming
- 6:34business trip. Okay, so what will it do? With
- 6:37its own wallet, it will negotiate the price of
- 6:39the ticket with the airline's AI agent. purchase
- 6:42the flight, and pay for the specific data API
- 6:45required to check the weather at your destination.
- 6:48And it does all of this without you ever clicking
- 6:50a single button. And Coinbase is trying to position
- 6:53itself as the underlying bank for all that machine
- 6:56to machine commerce. Exactly. It is a race to
- 6:59become the cash register for machines. I mean,
- 7:02in just the last week, MasterCard launched AgentPay,
- 7:05Metamask shipped a wallet built explicitly for
- 7:08AI agents, and now Coinbase is wiring in USDC
- 7:11as the default currency for machine transactions.
- 7:15So whoever owns the rails that these agents use
- 7:17to pay each other is going to collect an unimaginable
- 7:19toll over the next decade. Oh, absolutely. The
- 7:22revenue potential is staggering. Which brings
- 7:24up a massive logistical problem. If AI agents
- 7:27are going to be making millions of autonomous
- 7:29complex financial decisions every single second
- 7:32of the day, the immediate question becomes, where
- 7:35is the raw computing power? for all this coming
- 7:38from right the physical hardware exactly and
- 7:41that brings us to our second story today because
- 7:43when you talk about laying the physical infrastructure
- 7:46for the future of AI. You have to talk about
- 7:49SpaceX. It is easily the biggest financial news
- 7:52of the decade. Today, SpaceX shattered global
- 7:55records with its $75 billion initial public offering.
- 7:59Which is just an enormous figure. It's massive.
- 8:01They priced their shares at $135 apiece, securing
- 8:05a staggering $1 .77 trillion valuation. A trillion
- 8:08with a T. Yes. The ticker symbol is SPCX. It
- 8:12opens on the NASDAQ today. And yes, this valuation
- 8:14makes Elon Musk the first potential trillionaire.
- 8:17Wow. To even wrap your head around a number like
- 8:20$1 .77 trillion, you have to realize that you
- 8:23aren't just looking at a rocket company anymore.
- 8:25Not at all. So ASEX is effectively three massive
- 8:28separate businesses stitched together under a
- 8:30single stock ticker. Right. So let's break those
- 8:33down because the mechanics of each are critical.
- 8:36First, you have the legacy business, which is
- 8:38Launch Operations. That's the rockets shooting
- 8:40into space part. Exactly what you picture when
- 8:42you hear SpaceX. Right now, they control a dominant
- 8:4585 % of all the mass that the entire world puts
- 8:49into orbit. 85 %? That's a total monopoly. Pretty
- 8:53much. They achieve this by fundamentally changing
- 8:56the economics of spaceflight with reusable rockets.
- 8:59With the Falcon Heavy, they have driven the cost
- 9:02of getting payload into low Earth orbit down
- 9:04to just $1 ,400 per kilogram. That sounds cheap
- 9:08for space travel, but give us some context on
- 9:10how disruptive that actually is. While NASA's
- 9:12historical average was $18 ,500 per kilogram,
- 9:16SpaceX achieved a 92 % reduction in cost simply
- 9:19by landing the boosters and flying them again.
- 9:21Which is an undeniable engineering marvel. But,
- 9:23you know, the launch business alone doesn't justify
- 9:26a trillion dollar price tag. That's where the
- 9:29second business comes in, right? Starlink. Yes,
- 9:32Starlink. The satellite internet constellation.
- 9:35It is the absolute cash cow of the operation.
- 9:38By blanketing low Earth orbit with thousands
- 9:41of satellites, they've bypassed traditional telecom
- 9:43infrastructure entirely. And the revenue numbers
- 9:46back that up. They do. In 2025, Starlink brought
- 9:49in $11 .4 billion in revenue from over 10 million
- 9:53subscribers spanning 164 countries. More importantly,
- 9:57it is the only segment of SpaceX that is currently
- 9:59generating free cash flow. OK, so that's two
- 10:01legs of the stool. And then there's the third
- 10:03leg. This is the piece that directly connects
- 10:05to our discussion about AI agents needing immense
- 10:08computing power. Right, the XAI component. Exactly.
- 10:11Quietly, SpaceX has become one of the largest
- 10:13compute landlords on Earth. Back in February,
- 10:16SpaceX formally absorbed XAI in a massive merger.
- 10:19They built the Colossus One supercomputer down
- 10:21in Memphis, which is an absolute behemoth wired
- 10:24with 220 ,000 NVIDIA GPUs. It's just an insane
- 10:28amount of hardware. It really is. And they are
- 10:30leasing that entire cluster out to other AI giants.
- 10:33They have a deal with Anthropic for $1 .25 billion
- 10:36a month, and another with Google for $920 million
- 10:39a month. That's incredible. Yeah. Going forward,
- 10:41that annualizes to roughly $26 billion. just
- 10:45in compute rentals alone. It's an unprecedented
- 10:48pivot, really. They took the capital generated
- 10:50by space internet and used it to corner the market
- 10:52on raw artificial intelligence processing power.
- 10:55And the returns for early investors who believed
- 10:57in this three -part vision are just historic.
- 11:00Take Founders Fund, the venture capital firm.
- 11:02Oh, their payout is legendary now. Right. They
- 11:04invested about $600 million into SpaceX in the
- 11:07early days. At today's IPO price, their 3 % stake
- 11:11is worth over $50 billion. That is an 80x return.
- 11:16Wow. Yeah. Andreessen Horowitz is sitting on
- 11:18over 10 billion dollars. And roughly 4 ,000 everyday
- 11:22SpaceX employees just woke up as newly minted
- 11:25millionaires today. Good for them. But you know,
- 11:27as staggering as those windfalls are, the retail
- 11:30investor looking at this stock today really needs
- 11:32to look closely at the underlying financials.
- 11:34Exactly, because here is where I really have
- 11:36to push back on the hype. When you look under
- 11:38the hood at all this Starlink revenue and these
- 11:40multi -billion dollar compute deals with Google,
- 11:42there is a glaring red flag. The net loss. Right.
- 11:45If they are making all this money, why did SpaceX
- 11:48post a massive $4 .9 billion net loss in 2025?
- 11:53Well, it comes down to something analysts are
- 11:55calling the Musk premium. Investors are clearly
- 11:58not valuing SpaceX based on its current balance
- 12:00sheet or its net profits today. So what are they
- 12:03looking at? They are valuing it based on the
- 12:05total addressable market, which the company boldly
- 12:08claims is $28 .5 trillion. The reason they posted
- 12:12nearly a $5 billion loss is that the massive
- 12:14profits from Starlink are being entirely swallowed
- 12:18up. Swallowed up by what? By future bets. They
- 12:20are shoveling that cash into the furnace of cash
- 12:23burning projects, buying hundreds of thousands
- 12:26of those incredibly expensive NVIDIA GPUs for
- 12:28AI infrastructure and funding deep space rocket
- 12:31research and development. Starlink is essentially
- 12:33bankrolling the distant future. Okay. And for
- 12:37listeners who follow the crypto space, there's
- 12:39a really fascinating intersection happening right
- 12:41now with this tokenized shares. Yes. SpaceX currently
- 12:45hold eighteen thousand seven hundred and twelve.
- 12:47Bitcoin on its balance sheet, which is worth
- 12:50just under $1 .2 billion. Leveraging that crypto
- 12:54-friendly stance, a company called Backpack Securities
- 12:56is actually launching a tokenized version of
- 12:59the SPCX share on the Solana blockchain today.
- 13:02That is so wild, isn't it? It means you will
- 13:06be able to trade a digital token backed one -to
- 13:08-one by a real SpaceX share 24 hours a day, seven
- 13:12days a week, entirely outside the bounds of traditional
- 13:15market hours. Which perfectly illustrates how
- 13:17traditional finance and decentralized crypto
- 13:20rails are merging into a single ecosystem. But
- 13:22you know, that incredible $1 .77 trillion valuation
- 13:26leads us directly into our third story today.
- 13:28The risks. Exactly, because as you pointed out
- 13:30with that $4 .9 billion net loss, the foundation
- 13:33here is carrying an incredible amount of stress.
- 13:35There are massive systemic risks embedded in
- 13:37this company that the market will have to digest.
- 13:40So let's examine those risks, starting with the
- 13:42debt, because the leverage here is staggering.
- 13:44SpaceX currently sits on $29 .1 billion in total
- 13:47debt. That's a heavy load for any company. It
- 13:49is. But the real shocker tucked inside the IPO
- 13:53filings is the revelation of a $20 billion bridge
- 13:56loan. They used this loan to retire XAI's legacy
- 13:59debt during the merger. But here is the kicker.
- 14:02Morgan, Morgan, oops, excuse me, getting ahead
- 14:04of myself there. Here's the kicker. that $20
- 14:07billion must be repaid within six months of receiving
- 14:10the IPO proceeds. Wow! That completely, fundamentally
- 14:14shifts the narrative of the $75 billion capital
- 14:17raise. It really does. It's like taking out a
- 14:19massive multi -million dollar mortgage on a new
- 14:22house just so you can pay off your maxed out
- 14:24credit cards right before you throw a lavish
- 14:26housewarming party. That is a great analogy.
- 14:28Thanks. A massive chunk of the money they are
- 14:30raising from investors today isn't going toward
- 14:32building new rockets or buying more servers for
- 14:35AI. It is going straight out the door to debt
- 14:37refinancing. And the rockets they are building.
- 14:39The entire future growth model hinges on Starship.
- 14:42They burned through $3 billion on Starship R
- 14:45&D in 2025 alone. Just burning cash. Exactly.
- 14:49They project it will carry commercial payloads
- 14:51by the second half of 2026. But Starship hasn't
- 14:54actually delivered a single commercial payload
- 14:56to orbit yet. If that timeline slips, the entire
- 14:59valuation stumbles. And that immense ticking
- 15:03clock of financial pressure adds some very necessary
- 15:06context to a fascinating comment made by SpaceX
- 15:09President Gwynne Shotwell just this morning.
- 15:11Oh, I saw this. Yeah. In an interview, she was
- 15:13asked about persistent rumors of a potential
- 15:16mega merger between Tesla and SpaceX. She noted
- 15:19that the two companies already share incredible
- 15:21synergies, like they collaborate heavily on custom
- 15:24shipmaking for AI, robotaxi infrastructure, and
- 15:28humanoid robotics. Which is true. They do share
- 15:30a lot of tech. They do. But then she added a
- 15:33very pointed phrase. She said that combining
- 15:35the two entities might make Elon's life a little
- 15:37easier, actually. That is a wild thing to put
- 15:40out into the universe on the very morning of
- 15:42your IPO. Right. Basically saying, hey, buy our
- 15:44stock today, but We might just fold it into an
- 15:47automotive company next year. Yeah, casual mega
- 15:49merger hints on IPO day. Exactly. But practically
- 15:52speaking, I have a mechanical question about
- 15:54today's launch. We have this enormously complex
- 15:58company, heavily indebted, hyped beyond belief.
- 16:02Retail investors alone have placed over a hundred
- 16:05billion dollars in orders for a relatively tiny
- 16:07allocation of shares. The demand is just off
- 16:10the charts. It is. So how does a stock with this
- 16:13much volatile energy actually open on the stock
- 16:16market today without completely breaking the
- 16:19NASDAQ system. Yeah. I assume you don't just
- 16:21flip a switch at 930 a .m. and let chaos reign.
- 16:24You certainly don't. And understanding the mechanics
- 16:26of how a mega IPO actually opens is crucial.
- 16:30The NASDAQ relies on some fascinating, highly
- 16:32orchestrated market plumbing to prevent immediate
- 16:35systemic failure. Okay. How does that work? Well,
- 16:37they use a piece of technology called the Book
- 16:39Viewer and they assign what is known as a stabilization
- 16:41agent. That's usually one of the lead underwriter
- 16:43banks from the IPO. Right. I've looked into this
- 16:45and I know their job is essentially to prevent
- 16:47the stock from free falling at the opening bell.
- 16:50But my confusion here is how do they simulate
- 16:52demand and find the opening price without artificially
- 16:55manipulating the market? It's a great question,
- 16:57and it's all about data aggregation, not manipulation.
- 17:00The stabilization agent isn't inventing ghost
- 17:03orders. Through the book viewer technology, they
- 17:06can see every single legally binding bid and
- 17:09offer from both institutional and retail investors
- 17:12in real time down to a five cent increment. So
- 17:15they see the whole board. Exactly. They run massive
- 17:18simulations across the order book. They ask the
- 17:20algorithm, if we open the stock at one hundred
- 17:22and forty dollars, how many total shares will
- 17:24trade? What if we open at one hundred and fifty
- 17:27dollars? Oh, I see. Yeah, they are searching
- 17:29for the exact clearing price. That specific dollar
- 17:32amount where the maximum volume of shares can
- 17:35change hands instantly with the minimum amount
- 17:37of volatility. Typically about eight to 10 %
- 17:40of all the IPO shares will trade in that single
- 17:42massive opening cross. So that's why an IPO stock
- 17:46rarely actually starts trading right at 930 AM.
- 17:48They might hold it back until 10 AM or even noon,
- 17:51just continuously calculating to ensure the buy
- 17:53orders and sell orders match up perfectly before
- 17:56letting the public trade it. Precisely. It is
- 17:58a massive matching algorithm. But even with that
- 18:00preparation, human emotion takes over once the
- 18:03stock is live. It always does. Yep. If the hype
- 18:06causes the price to start swinging wildly out
- 18:09of control, the NASDAQ has an automated mechanism
- 18:12called L -U -L -D, which stands for limit up,
- 18:15limit down. It's a physical circuit breaker.
- 18:18How exactly does that get triggered? If the stock
- 18:20price jumps or drops by 10 % within a rolling
- 18:2330 -second window and stays locked at that extreme
- 18:26for 15 seconds, the exchange automatically halts
- 18:29all trading for five minutes. So it essentially
- 18:31forces the market to take a breath. Exactly.
- 18:34It pauses the panic, lets the stabilization agent
- 18:36run a brand new auction to find a stable clearing
- 18:39price, and prevents a total market freefall or
- 18:42a runaway bubble. Wow. So, synthesizing all of
- 18:45this, what does this actually mean for you, the
- 18:47person listening right now? Why should you care
- 18:49about the deep mechanics of the NASDAQ, or the
- 18:52debt structure of a space company, or whether
- 18:54an AI has a crypto wallet? You should care, because
- 18:57these events are physically reshaping the infrastructure
- 19:00of your daily life. Whether you are an investor
- 19:02whose retirement fund just gained exposure to
- 19:05SpaceX, a tech worker whose company relies on
- 19:07AI tools powered by the colossus supercomputer,
- 19:10or just an everyday person relying on global
- 19:12internet connectivity, this company is laying
- 19:15the tracks for the next decade of the global
- 19:17economy. It's touching everything. It really
- 19:19is. If this IPO succeeds and holds its valuation,
- 19:23it will open the floodgates for other AI giants
- 19:25like OpenAI and Anthropic to go public, completely
- 19:28transforming the stock market. But if it fails
- 19:31beneath the weight of its own debt, or if a mega
- 19:33merger with Tesla creates an unprecedented monopolistic
- 19:36superpower, the ripple effects will be felt deeply
- 19:38in your personal portfolio, your workplace, and
- 19:41your digital privacy. Before we wrap up, a quick
- 19:44thanks to Old Glory, an iconic music and sports

- 19:52.com. To briefly recap the massive shifts we've
- 19:56explored today, we are stepping across a threshold
- 19:58into an agentic economy where AI systems now
- 20:01have the crypto infrastructure to hold bank accounts
- 20:04and execute financial decisions autonomously.
- 20:07Yep, the machines are buying things. Exactly.
- 20:09We are watching the world's premier space launch
- 20:11company leverage its orbital dominance to become
- 20:14the most powerful AI compute landlord on the
- 20:17planet. And today we are seeing the public markets
- 20:19tested by record -shattering valuations, complex
- 20:22debt structures, and the looming possibility
- 20:24of trillion -dollar mega -mergers. It's an incredible
- 20:27amount of information to process, but I want
- 20:29to leave you with the final lingering thought
- 20:30to mull over today as you watch the ticker. We
- 20:33spent time unpacking how SpaceX's staggering
- 20:35$1 .77 trillion valuation is largely propped
- 20:39up by two things, the distant promise of massive
- 20:42AI revenue and the success of the untested Starship
- 20:45rocket. Two very big, very futuristic bets. Exactly.
- 20:50So given how heavily the entire global tech ecosystem
- 20:53is currently leaning on these incredibly capital
- 20:56-intensive bets, what happens to the broader
- 20:58tech market and your personal investments if
- 21:01either of those massive promises experiences
- 21:03a major undeniable failure? It is the defining
- 21:07question of this market cycle and one we will
- 21:09all be watching incredibly closely as the opening
- 21:12bell finally rings today. We're here to help
- 21:14at Snartful, so reach out on our website if you
- 21:16have any more questions. That's a wrap on today's
- 21:22top stories. Remember, tech doesn't have to be

- 21:27dots. If you've got questions or want to learn
