- 0:00Speaker 1: Today's show is pre recorded. Y'all know what time y'all
- 0:05Speaker 1: don't know. Y'all have a look back to back, giving
- 0:13Speaker 1: them more like theming buck bus things and it's not good.
- 0:21Speaker 1: Sten to mother, I don't join Jo. You gotta use
- 0:59Speaker 1: that turn out him. You gotta turn to turn them out.
- 1:43Speaker 1: My mom got to turn out to turn the water
- 1:47Speaker 1: the water. Come come on your back. Uh huh, I
- 2:02Speaker 1: show well, but come mording everybody. You're listening to the voice,
- 2:06Speaker 1: come on dig me now. One and only Steve Harvey
- 2:10Speaker 1: got a radio show. Man, If if I had time
- 2:14Speaker 1: enough to tell the whole trip, the whole journey, and
- 2:18Speaker 1: y'all would be sitting up in there going okay to Steve,
- 2:21Speaker 1: are we gonna play the show this week? But man,
- 2:24Speaker 1: it's been a lot of amazing things has happened to
- 2:28Speaker 1: me over the years, and not all of them good.
- 2:34Speaker 1: It's been some amazingly bad things that have happened too.
- 2:39Speaker 1: But I just come on in the morning as a
- 2:41Speaker 1: reminder to everybody of the actual goodness of God, that
- 2:46Speaker 1: you know, man, that these mistakes that you're making, that
- 2:50Speaker 1: these setbacks that you keep having, that these falls that
- 2:54Speaker 1: keep occurring in your life that they all are leading
- 2:58Speaker 1: you somewhere. If you just don't ever give up. That's
- 3:03Speaker 1: the key. You can never ever give up because you
- 3:06Speaker 1: don't know how the trip has been laid out for you.
- 3:11Speaker 1: You know, if somebody had told me years ago when
- 3:16Speaker 1: I had the dream of being on TV and then
- 3:18Speaker 1: I thought about being a one of one of the
- 3:21Speaker 1: best comedians I could be. You know, when I when
- 3:24Speaker 1: I started, if somebody had told me everything that was
- 3:29Speaker 1: gonna have to happen in order for me to get there,
- 3:32Speaker 1: I would have changed it. I would have I would
- 3:36Speaker 1: have said, Okay, well I ain't gonna be that. How
- 3:38Speaker 1: about this? See and no one can know all of
- 3:43Speaker 1: the events of their life ahead of time. You know,
- 3:46Speaker 1: it'd be so nice, wouldn't it. You know, to prepare
- 3:48Speaker 1: for it, see it coming, be aware of the haters,
- 3:54Speaker 1: always knowing when the backstabbing moment is coming in your life,
- 3:58Speaker 1: always knowing when you gonna get blindsided by the enemy.
- 4:01Speaker 1: We are really great to know that, wouldn't it. Well,
- 4:04Speaker 1: that's not how it works. So since no one knows
- 4:10Speaker 1: exactly the challenges and the pitfalls and the detools that's
- 4:15Speaker 1: going to be set them, it's it's it's imperative that
- 4:19Speaker 1: you just don't give up because see, knowing these things,
- 4:25Speaker 1: we as human beings by nature, would choose another route.
- 4:30Speaker 1: But it ain't the route God God for you, though.
- 4:33Speaker 1: See the route God God for you. If you if
- 4:36Speaker 1: you're trying to do the right thing, if you're doing
- 4:39Speaker 1: the best you can, if you ain't out here just
- 4:42Speaker 1: intentionally just messing over, folks, if you're using faith and
- 4:46Speaker 1: that's the belief in things that you cannot see. If
- 4:50Speaker 1: you have something on the inside of you to keep
- 4:52Speaker 1: saying there's got to be more to life than that,
- 4:55Speaker 1: then that's that's you. You, my friend, have a great
- 4:59Speaker 1: chance here. And if you've ever had that feeling then
- 5:02Speaker 1: gave up on it, just get it back, just ask
- 5:05Speaker 1: for it back, Just say, hey, man, I'm getting back
- 5:08Speaker 1: to the way I used to be because there's a
- 5:11Speaker 1: change that's available in your life. But you gotta take it.
- 5:15Speaker 1: You gotta take a shot at it. Folks. There's a
- 5:18Speaker 1: chance for you to get it right, but you gotta
- 5:21Speaker 1: take a shot at it. Folks. There's a chance for
- 5:23Speaker 1: you to turn this whole thing around with God's help,
- 5:26Speaker 1: but you gotta take a shot at it. You see
- 5:30Speaker 1: this decision is yours. The decision to lay down and
- 5:33Speaker 1: give up, that's yours. It ain't. It just got too
- 5:36Speaker 1: hard for me. Life too much, man, Life hard and
- 5:39Speaker 1: too much for everybody. What I gotta get you to see?
- 5:43Speaker 1: My father used to always tell me, it says so
- 5:46Speaker 1: best lessons in life to burn your value and learn
- 5:49Speaker 1: the most is a bout lesson. I didn't quite understand
- 5:52Speaker 1: that being young, but I show got it now. Ain't
- 5:56Speaker 1: no lesson like a bout lesson, the one you pay for.
- 6:00Speaker 1: Those are the ones that hold to you, that stick
- 6:02Speaker 1: to you, that that that started turning you into who
- 6:05Speaker 1: you're gonna be. Those are the character builders. See, you
- 6:10Speaker 1: got to be forged to get to where you want
- 6:12Speaker 1: to go in life. So that's what the challenges and
- 6:14Speaker 1: missteps is for. That's what the failing is about. Now,
- 6:18Speaker 1: I know you don't like it. I didn't. I know
- 6:20Speaker 1: you're not comfortable. Wouldn't I wouldn't. I know you wish
- 6:24Speaker 1: it was over sooner than later. I always do. I
- 6:27Speaker 1: always wanted to be over sooner than later because the
- 6:31Speaker 1: later manager seems like it's so much I gotta go through.
- 6:35Speaker 1: But let me tell you something, man, if you can
- 6:38Speaker 1: if you can forge your way through it and understand
- 6:41Speaker 1: that you are forged in life. I don't know. I
- 6:46Speaker 1: was on TBN one time when I was doing one
- 6:47Speaker 1: of my motivational speeches, and I began to wonder about
- 6:53Speaker 1: this experience I had. It Ford Motor Company and my
- 6:57Speaker 1: last job after the auto industry started going down, my
- 7:00Speaker 1: last job was in the fountry and my job was
- 7:05Speaker 1: to stand at the end almost where the engines first
- 7:10Speaker 1: come out of the furnace. See, the engines are poured
- 7:13Speaker 1: into a mold. It's hot, melted down metal whatever they
- 7:17Speaker 1: call it, lava or whatever. They poured into a mole
- 7:20Speaker 1: and it goes into this furnace that's extremely hot. And
- 7:24Speaker 1: my job was after the heat was applied to the
- 7:28Speaker 1: engine block, it would come through and it would go
- 7:33Speaker 1: through a hardening stage. But the way it was hardening,
- 7:35Speaker 1: they would cool it. Suddenly they would flush it with water.
- 7:39Speaker 1: It was just blast water on it. But the fire
- 7:43Speaker 1: and the high temperature is what made the engine block solidified.
- 7:49Speaker 1: It's because it's gotta get real hot, get melted down first,
- 7:52Speaker 1: then it's got to get poured into a mole. Then
- 7:55Speaker 1: it's gotta be pressure hit with water. And all of this,
- 7:59Speaker 1: and then it could and it's real hot. Now it's
- 8:02Speaker 1: still hot even though the water been shutter. But when
- 8:04Speaker 1: it comes out the end of the side, there's a
- 8:07Speaker 1: lot of flashing in it. And flashing is a metal
- 8:09Speaker 1: from that ton dripped through the caster molding on it,
- 8:13Speaker 1: just like flecks of extra pieces of metal. My job
- 8:17Speaker 1: was to hit this engine block in the front, which
- 8:21Speaker 1: is huge, heavy rubber mallet, knock all the flashing off
- 8:26Speaker 1: the front, and when it came around back to bam,
- 8:30Speaker 1: hit it real hard again on the backside. And that
- 8:34Speaker 1: became the core of what the car is. A car
- 8:38Speaker 1: without a great engine is nothing. It's just a pretty
- 8:41Speaker 1: looking vehicle over there. But if it can't do what
- 8:44Speaker 1: it was made to do because the engine block then cracked.
- 8:47Speaker 1: So you can have a car look real good, but
- 8:49Speaker 1: if it freezes an engine block crack your car, you
- 8:52Speaker 1: can it's over man. You gotta get a new block.
- 8:55Speaker 1: The block is the core. But in order for you
- 8:58Speaker 1: for the car to do what it's got to do,
- 9:00Speaker 1: it's got to have a strong engine in it. In
- 9:01Speaker 1: order for the engine to be strong, it's got to
- 9:04Speaker 1: be forged and steel come through, fire get poured in
- 9:07Speaker 1: a mole, cooled off, heated, knocked around, beat on the
- 9:11Speaker 1: front end, beat on the back end. In order for
- 9:14Speaker 1: it to be what it's gonna be. The maul of
- 9:16Speaker 1: the story, folks, is you got to get forged in
- 9:20Speaker 1: fire to be what you gonna be. You got to
- 9:23Speaker 1: get beat up, you got to get pressure washed, you
- 9:26Speaker 1: got to have heat on you, you you gotta get melted down,
- 9:29Speaker 1: you gotta get poured into a mole. That's how you
- 9:32Speaker 1: become who you are. So the tough things that you're
- 9:35Speaker 1: going through, the difficult challenges and the setbacks. I know
- 9:38Speaker 1: a brother who went to prison, man, And the whole
- 9:41Speaker 1: reason he ended up going to prison because he was
- 9:44Speaker 1: looking out the loot window, looking out in the yard
- 9:46Speaker 1: at him working out. And then the next thing, you know, man,
- 9:49Speaker 1: this brother decided that he was gonna go out there
- 9:51Speaker 1: and work out. Well, guess what, he's one of the
- 9:54Speaker 1: top trainers in country. Today. You're listening to show, ladies
- 10:01Speaker 1: and gentlemen, let it be known to you that it's
- 10:04Speaker 1: going down right now. This is the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Who am I him? Who are you? That's important? Now
- 10:12Speaker 1: you should be able to answer that question. You should
- 10:15Speaker 1: know who you are and whose you are. I am
- 10:20Speaker 1: a child of the most High. Be careful how you
- 10:23Speaker 1: handle me because I'm never alone. Oh it's been many attempts.
- 10:29Speaker 1: I've survived them all that God holds me in his
- 10:34Speaker 1: ever loving arms and keeps me safe, not trouble free,
- 10:39Speaker 1: but strong enough to handle whatever besets me. That's my
- 10:43Speaker 1: mission today, that's my statement. Make it yours and have
- 10:47Speaker 1: a great day. Know who you are and whose you are?
- 10:51Speaker 1: You better know it. Sharing a strong barty. Hey men,
- 10:55Speaker 1: Steve Harvey, gil morning, let's go le out for real

- 11:18Speaker 1: need me. Well I tried. If I need you, you
- 11:24Speaker 1: do I know that. Hey, hey, all trying about to
- 11:27Speaker 1: need you out? All the people you high? I'm here
- 11:31Speaker 1: at all of them? My man? Oh you mean the dudes. Hey,
- 11:38Speaker 1: you know who it is? I'm here. Yeah, the other
- 11:41Speaker 1: two is missing, Si pop, I wasn't trying, don't hate,
- 11:46Speaker 1: but no, Well that's what the hell it was. And
- 11:50Speaker 1: even if it wasn't, I make it into that stuff
- 11:55Speaker 1: like that. Yeah, you like miss hey, you know what
- 11:59Speaker 1: I'm mean? Want to throw shades, but the shade I
- 12:05Speaker 1: don't know if anybody told you. I ain't want to
- 12:07Speaker 1: say nothing, but every time you say Julian here, not
- 12:13Speaker 1: every time? Every time? Okay, So how are you feeling, Steve,
- 12:18Speaker 1: Let's hear well, I'm good steal in Africa, Yeah, working
- 12:22Speaker 1: really hard, falling more and more in love with this place. Man,
- 12:26Speaker 1: I really really am um, I seriously, I want everybody
- 12:31Speaker 1: please put this on your bucket list. Please, okay, every
- 12:36Speaker 1: African American? Please? Am I hearing something like Stevie wonderous
- 12:44Speaker 1: a tone like that? You know, because he announced that
- 12:47Speaker 1: he's moving to Africa. I'm just saying, do I hear
- 12:52Speaker 1: anything like? I could see myself saying? I really could
- 12:58Speaker 1: because you love it out there, Steve. It's just I've
- 13:03Speaker 1: never experienced this before. You know, it's not problem free,
- 13:08Speaker 1: but where he is Brian right, But I'll tell you
- 13:12Speaker 1: what the way I feel when I'm driving around and
- 13:16Speaker 1: walking around, it's a little bit different. It's a little
- 13:21Speaker 1: bit different, you know. Don't get me wrong. Man, I
- 13:25Speaker 1: love I love my home. Yeah, but I have fallen
- 13:29Speaker 1: in love with my okay, all right, okay, because that's
- 13:34Speaker 1: what I'm hearing. All right, Steve, coming up at thirty
- 13:36Speaker 1: two minutes after the hour, we'll do a little bit
- 13:38Speaker 1: of Ask the CLO, Chief Love Officer right after this.
- 13:43Speaker 1: You're listening to show time now for Ask the CLO. Steve,
- 13:49Speaker 1: Let's go. This one is from Temika and New Orleans.
- 13:52Speaker 1: Temka says, I'm turning fifty soon and I wanted to
- 13:55Speaker 1: go to a new beach in Mexico with my husband.
- 13:59Speaker 1: He isn't ready to fly out of the country yet,
- 14:01Speaker 1: so he suggested getting an airbnb with a pool so
- 14:05Speaker 1: we can go skinny dipping with some of my girlfriends.
- 14:11Speaker 1: He went so far, Steve as to name the friend
- 14:15Speaker 1: that I should invite. I instantly got jealous and started
- 14:20Speaker 1: an argument. He swore he was only joking because he
- 14:23Speaker 1: thinks the new beach idea is silly? Was he joking? Yeah?
- 14:29Speaker 1: But if you have said yeah, though, he probably would
- 14:31Speaker 1: have went yeah. He was joking, Oh girl, anybody to
- 14:38Speaker 1: do that? But if you said yeah, he'd have been
- 14:42Speaker 1: in there with just a little bitty pair of drawls on.
- 14:48Speaker 1: He gonna take you up on it. Yeah, getting ready?
- 14:52Speaker 1: But which girlfriends? Though Steve Oh was he'd been looking
- 14:57Speaker 1: at Oh named him. Oh, you gotta believe they got something.
- 15:01Speaker 1: They got some some things he've been wanting to see. Yeah,
- 15:07Speaker 1: he worried about Cob, but he want to see right
- 15:10Speaker 1: her girlfriend. Now, I'm gonna tell you something because I've
- 15:13Speaker 1: been to a new beach before and uh you have
- 15:17Speaker 1: really yeah, and uh it was either it wasn't was
- 15:21Speaker 1: it a gila or no? What's that over there for
- 15:25Speaker 1: sitting bad through his one of those has a beach.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Whereas clothing and his naked I'm gonna tell you something.
- 15:37Speaker 1: Ain't nobody on the nicket side you want to see nicked?
- 15:44Speaker 1: Get your mind to stop thinking about your fine people
- 15:48Speaker 1: find people really don't just take their damn clothes up. Yeah,
- 15:51Speaker 1: really don't because they know all eyes is on. But
- 15:55Speaker 1: everybody else saw needed to put their damn swimming suit
- 15:58Speaker 1: on immediately. Everybody nobody on that nicked side that should
- 16:08Speaker 1: have been nicked. That's why, all right, we're moving on
- 16:13Speaker 1: Kimlin and Arlington, Virginia said. My father filed for divorce
- 16:17Speaker 1: out of the blue after being married to my mother
- 16:20Speaker 1: for twenty eight years. He confided in me that they
- 16:23Speaker 1: only married my mom because she was pregnant and now
- 16:25Speaker 1: he wants to be with a woman he truly loves.
- 16:28Speaker 1: He said, he's had a girlfriend for twenty two years,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and my mom doesn't know. My poor mother is devastated
- 16:34Speaker 1: by the divorce, and she's blaming herself. Do I tell
- 16:38Speaker 1: her why my dad's divorcing her so she won't hear
- 16:40Speaker 1: it elsewhere? No? No, you shouldn't. Why would your father, yeah,
- 16:50Speaker 1: tell you that he's had a girlfriend for twenty two years,
- 16:55Speaker 1: and that's that's the stupidity. Yeah, but he thought maybe
- 17:00Speaker 1: if I tell my daughter so she'll understand why I'm
- 17:03Speaker 1: coming from. Dog ain't nobody can understand nothing. I don't
- 17:08Speaker 1: think it was right of him to share that with you,
- 17:11Speaker 1: And I really don't think you should tell You've already
- 17:13Speaker 1: said your mother's devastating. Now do you understand the equal
- 17:17Speaker 1: devastation it'll be if she knows your father came and
- 17:21Speaker 1: told you, yeah, and not her. Oh all right, all right?
- 17:31Speaker 1: Why don't you ask him to share it with your mother?
- 17:34Speaker 1: Peter one? Did it? Stop letting these dudes off the hook? Man?
- 17:37Speaker 1: You want to, you want you want to, you want
- 17:39Speaker 1: to help her and go tell her it ain't her,
- 17:43Speaker 1: and tell her it's been you the whole time, that
- 17:46Speaker 1: you ain't put your heart and soul into the marriage
- 17:48Speaker 1: because you didn't really want it. Go in there and
- 17:50Speaker 1: tell her that so she ain't got to keep beating
- 17:53Speaker 1: herself up thinking it was her, because it was him
- 17:56Speaker 1: the whole time. He could have dc to do that.
- 17:58Speaker 1: You're gonna get a divorce in it, all right, We're
- 18:04Speaker 1: moving on. Sorry about that, Andrea. Andrea in Flint, Michigan,
- 18:08Speaker 1: says I just met a great guy two weeks ago.
- 18:11Speaker 1: And the other night he came over to my house
- 18:13Speaker 1: and his car wouldn't start, so I told him he
- 18:16Speaker 1: could sleep on the couch. He said it was too
- 18:19Speaker 1: cold in my living room, and he asked to get
- 18:22Speaker 1: in bed next to me. I led him, but I
- 18:26Speaker 1: didn't plan to have sex with him, but it happened.
- 18:30Speaker 1: The next morning, his car started right up, and he said,
- 18:34Speaker 1: he said, my man, He said it does that often.
- 18:38Speaker 1: He gave me a long kiss, and that was the
- 18:40Speaker 1: last time I saw him. He's not texting me as
- 18:43Speaker 1: much as he used to. Was a sex bad or what? Wow? Well,
- 18:48Speaker 1: I don't know where I know. If it was good,
- 18:51Speaker 1: I'd be back over there same night, girl a car. Yeah,
- 19:00Speaker 1: the car not start. I can bear witness because lord no,
- 19:07Speaker 1: I've had some calls that once I cut it off,
- 19:10Speaker 1: it was just a chance that it wasn't gonna start
- 19:14Speaker 1: right up. I went to a beverage stow one time
- 19:18Speaker 1: pick up something. My partner threw a party one time
- 19:22Speaker 1: he was running out of liquor. He asked me, love,
- 19:25Speaker 1: could you go down the store and pick up a
- 19:26Speaker 1: couple because you don't only one ain't drowning? Love, because
- 19:30Speaker 1: I don't drink. Yeah, so he said, can you go
- 19:34Speaker 1: down there because I'm the only one ain't drunk? So yeah,
- 19:37Speaker 1: I go down there. I go down now, and I
- 19:40Speaker 1: meet this girl in the beverage stove. It was a
- 19:44Speaker 1: party center. Now I cut my little ragged as call,
- 19:49Speaker 1: I get out, I go in the stove. Yeah, I know,
- 19:53Speaker 1: good in hell, well that I need to get this call,
- 19:57Speaker 1: probably twenty minutes for it might start back up. Boy,
- 20:03Speaker 1: but my horses just didn't do good without long rest.
- 20:09Speaker 1: And I met this girl and we was talking, and
- 20:12Speaker 1: she came outside and I was just talking with her.
- 20:15Speaker 1: She said, we are your car, said, ELI, sit over there.
- 20:17Speaker 1: She said, well, it's nice to meet you. Here's my number,
- 20:20Speaker 1: call me sometime. She said, Uh, I'm gonna just stand here.
- 20:24Speaker 1: Way to you to go off. I really enjoyed the conversation.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I was gart went on over there and got that car.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Damn that they didn't start after she was starting over
- 20:37Speaker 1: there with her hand over her mouth, and I contild
- 20:40Speaker 1: she was smirking when you started up. I just went
- 20:45Speaker 1: on through the phone number out the window. That was
- 20:52Speaker 1: the end, all right, see hello, thank you so much.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Coming up next, Junior end for the nephew would run
- 20:59Speaker 1: that prank back? Right after this you're listening show coming

- 21:13Speaker 1: Hall of Fame voting, plus another entertainment news Chadwick Bozeman family.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Bozeman's family is not upset with the Oscars. Okay, we'll
- 21:23Speaker 1: talk about all of these stories at the top of
- 21:25Speaker 1: the hour, but right now, Junior is in for the
- 21:28Speaker 1: nephew with run that prank back? What you got for
- 21:30Speaker 1: his Junior? Yeah, you know, I just want to say
- 21:32Speaker 1: that I'm here once again. Uh huh. Okay, Man and

- 22:17Speaker 1: to my attention that there's a postman that has been
- 22:20Speaker 1: stopping by my house. And I'm what I'm not understanding
- 22:24Speaker 1: is why are you bringing mail to my door? A

- 22:50Speaker 1: she don't work, and my understanding is you've been stopping

- 22:57Speaker 1: You're coming by there two three times, you know. But
- 23:00Speaker 1: I'm understanding it ain't no male being brought over that.
- 23:02Speaker 1: I'm trying to figure out, what are you doing at
- 23:04Speaker 1: my house? Now? What really didn't then brought all this
- 23:08Speaker 1: to a head because you already know what's going on.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Let me go on, let you know that, call o,
- 23:12Speaker 1: I do know what's going on. I picked up the
- 23:14Speaker 1: clothes from the cleaners this morning, and to my attention,
- 23:18Speaker 1: it's a man's post office shirt in my packet. What
- 23:21Speaker 1: color was it? It's blue? Light blue and I got
- 23:24Speaker 1: a blue Okay, but explain this to to me? How
- 23:27Speaker 1: your shirt get in my house? Do you have my

- 24:24Speaker 1: ever done. It belonged to a man. That's got to

- 27:33Speaker 1: more thing to ask you, man, what is what is
- 27:35Speaker 1: the baddest radio show in the land? Steve Harvey Morning
- 27:40Speaker 1: Radio Show, No doubt all the way. That is Postman
- 27:47Speaker 1: always rad right, because I'm here, You're here for him,
- 27:50Speaker 1: That's right, I'm here for him. Yeah, we'll call hein' here.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I just want to make sure I can't credit for
- 27:57Speaker 1: my boss that I'm here just for me. Well, he's
- 28:00Speaker 1: right here too, your boss, Yeah, my boss here. Uh,
- 28:04Speaker 1: Jay ain't here, and Time ain't here on the same
- 28:07Speaker 1: eighteen Timmy out the whole team. Well where's Time at Junior? Uh?
- 28:16Speaker 1: He had a I don't know he had a tooth
- 28:18Speaker 1: for something he had to get pulled his barning. Oh yeah,
- 28:22Speaker 1: I had a dinner, that's what he said. Yeah, my
- 28:26Speaker 1: tooth tooth took him out to that. That's because he's
- 28:29Speaker 1: fifty years old. He's still trying to eat on them
- 28:31Speaker 1: baby teeth. He's gonna get you the bar. You know
- 28:37Speaker 1: you can't say that baby teeth. His boy, Paul gonna
- 28:44Speaker 1: tell him, So I already know who's gonna tell Hey, Paul.

- 28:56Speaker 1: about it then way, Oh yeah, damn Man. Always all right,
- 29:05Speaker 1: thank you for being in for Junior. Coming up at
- 29:07Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we'll have some entertainment in
- 29:09Speaker 1: national news. Right after this, you're listening to the Stave
- 29:13Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. The Chadwick Boseman's family has a message
- 29:20Speaker 1: for those saying that Chadwick got snubbed at the Oscars.
- 29:25Speaker 1: He was not snubbed and shout out to Sir Anthony
- 29:28Speaker 1: Hopkins for the win. Chadwick's brother, Derek Boseman said he
- 29:32Speaker 1: doesn't view Chadwick not winning an Oscar for Best Actor
- 29:36Speaker 1: as a snub because every nominated actor was excellent and
- 29:40Speaker 1: deserving of the award. He says the family isn't upset
- 29:43Speaker 1: or agitated whatsoever that Chadwick's name wasn't called at the
- 29:47Speaker 1: end of the Oscar ceremony. Derek said Chadwick wasn't one
- 29:51Speaker 1: to put much value on the Oscars anyway. Derek said
- 29:54Speaker 1: Chadwick always described them to him as a campaign and
- 29:59Speaker 1: that being said, Derek says, yes, and Oscar would have
- 30:02Speaker 1: been an achievement, but it was never an obsession. So,
- 30:05Speaker 1: you know, because there were reports that Chadwick family, Steve
- 30:09Speaker 1: was upset that he was snubbed at the Oscars, you know,
- 30:12Speaker 1: because he was they said that, you know, but people
- 30:14Speaker 1: always they won't. They just won't. The people that does
- 30:18Speaker 1: not in the family not even know why would you start. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 30:24Speaker 1: they don't care that he gonna get an Oscar. They
- 30:26Speaker 1: would they'd much rather have him back, absolutely, especially his wife, right,
- 30:32Speaker 1: you know, he should have been didn't get an Oscar, Yeah,
- 30:35Speaker 1: because you know, he was the odds on favorite before
- 30:38Speaker 1: going into the Oscars, and then you know, they said
- 30:43Speaker 1: he was snubbed and his family was upset. But I'm
- 30:45Speaker 1: glad his brothers is clearing that misconception. Up, you know,
- 30:49Speaker 1: and put it to rest. Yeah, Chadwicks seemed like a
- 30:53Speaker 1: good brother, a nice brother. He would be happy, like
- 30:55Speaker 1: he said for Sir Anthony Hopkins, who won for the
- 30:58Speaker 1: Podman was the real deal everybody, and what he gave
- 31:07Speaker 1: us in Black Panther Man was the highest grossing movie
- 31:16Speaker 1: in the history, with that many of us in it
- 31:21Speaker 1: starring leading everything art beautiful movie. The whole movement of
- 31:32Speaker 1: going to see the movie. Yes, brother, they was, they
- 31:38Speaker 1: were doing it. What he did with that movie and
- 31:41Speaker 1: all the players in it just one of the great
- 31:45Speaker 1: cultural events of our time. I've never seen anything like
- 31:49Speaker 1: that at a movie ever ever. And what it did
- 31:54Speaker 1: for little little black boys, you know, yes, yeah, that
- 32:02Speaker 1: superhero looks like you. Yes. Yeah, Let's hire somebody who
- 32:06Speaker 1: just took it into turn it into fat panther. We
- 32:10Speaker 1: can Jay and my grandson he got a black panther costume.
- 32:20Speaker 1: H huh. He won't take it all. I mean, that's
- 32:24Speaker 1: what it did. That is filthy five year old boy.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Oh we'd have washed it, but you know, five year
- 32:38Speaker 1: old dirt different. He gives the stuff. You don't know
- 32:41Speaker 1: where this came from. What is all this all on here?
- 32:44Speaker 1: Because he called up the car looking at himself. So
- 32:49Speaker 1: the little black panther outfit you healthy? Wow, But yeah,
- 32:55Speaker 1: that meant something, you know, and then something for the culture.
- 32:58Speaker 1: For the culture really really did black excellence. Yes, ma'am,
- 33:04Speaker 1: Michael B. Jordan, it's Killmonger all right, Steve, Time to
- 33:09Speaker 1: move on. Time for today's headlines, ladies and gentlemen, this
- 33:12Speaker 1: and trip okay, thank you everybody. Well, the US census
- 33:16Speaker 1: figures came out yesterday. Our official population, according to the
- 33:19Speaker 1: twenty twenty census, is pegged at three hundred and thirty
- 33:22Speaker 1: one million, four hundred and forty nine thousand, two hundred
- 33:25Speaker 1: and eighty one and represents a population growth of about
- 33:28Speaker 1: seven point four percent sence twenty ten. But this marks
- 33:31Speaker 1: the second slowest rate of US population growth in history.
- 33:35Speaker 1: Here's the bottom line. Six states are going to gain
- 33:37Speaker 1: more seats in the House of Representatives, which in turn
- 33:40Speaker 1: means more electoral College votes. Write this down. Texas is
- 33:43Speaker 1: the winner, gaining two more House seats. There'll be one
- 33:46Speaker 1: more seat each for Colorado, Florida, Montana, North Carolina, and Oregon.
- 33:51Speaker 1: And seven states are going to each lose a seat,
- 33:54Speaker 1: and they are Illinois, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, West Virginia,
- 34:00Speaker 1: and California, which will be losing a congressional seat, by
- 34:02Speaker 1: the way, for its first time in its history as
- 34:04Speaker 1: a state. By the way, if New York had logged in,
- 34:07Speaker 1: for instance, just eighty nine more people, it would have
- 34:10Speaker 1: kept that congressional seat and received another one so that
- 34:13Speaker 1: last he goes to Minnesota. There may also be some
- 34:15Speaker 1: lawsuits in independent order of the numbers of being conducted.
- 34:18Speaker 1: But again, eighty nine more seats, for instance in New York.
- 34:21Speaker 1: That means that's the importance of filling out the census
- 34:23Speaker 1: that some people just fluff off and say, and I
- 34:25Speaker 1: want to Two more police agencies under investigation now that
- 34:29Speaker 1: more two unarmed black men have been shot by white
- 34:32Speaker 1: cops in questionable circumstances in Virginia. Attorney David Hayes represents
- 34:36Speaker 1: the family of thirty two yuld Isaiah Brown, who's currently
- 34:39Speaker 1: on a ventilator. Despite the fact that the local police
- 34:41Speaker 1: chief at the time claimed he had a survivable wound,
- 34:44Speaker 1: he was shot at least ten times. The trauma surgeons
- 34:48Speaker 1: at the local hospital in Fredericksburg have informed the family
- 34:51Speaker 1: that there were ten bullets inside Isaiah Brown's body. Two
- 34:56Speaker 1: were removed at the conclusion of during a second trauma surgery.
- 35:00Speaker 1: At eight bullets remain in his body. Isaiah Brown was
- 35:02Speaker 1: shot by cops while he was on the phone talking
- 35:05Speaker 1: to a nine one one dispatcher. He was shot by
- 35:08Speaker 1: a white law enforcement officer who somehow took a phone
- 35:10Speaker 1: for a weapon. Meanwhile, in a separate case in North Carolina,
- 35:14Speaker 1: Elizabeth City police chiefs preparing to release the bodycam footage
- 35:17Speaker 1: of the fatal shooting of a man named Andrew Brown,
- 35:19Speaker 1: no relation to Isaiah. The forty two year old was
- 35:22Speaker 1: shot by cops attempting to serve warrants concerning alleged felony
- 35:25Speaker 1: drug possession. Seven officers have been placed on administrative policy.
- 35:28Speaker 1: They're also looking into Louisville in the wake of Brianna
- 35:31Speaker 1: the death of Brianna Taylor to see what's going on
- 35:33Speaker 1: over there as well. Finally, though it still looks like
- 35:36Speaker 1: the pandemic has greatly reduced award show audiences. Yeah For instance,
- 35:42Speaker 1: Nielsen says it's preliminary numbers on Sunday's Oscars shows the
- 35:45Speaker 1: event and drew slightly below ten million viewers at less
- 35:48Speaker 1: than half of what it to the last year's Academy Awards,
- 35:51Speaker 1: which also had the smallest audience on record. Golden Globe
- 35:54Speaker 1: and Grammy viewership also done. What a lot of folks
- 35:57Speaker 1: at home, you know, looking at movies and stuff. Now
- 35:59Speaker 1: back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. You're listening to show,
- 36:04Speaker 1: all right, So, Steve, we kind of touched on this
- 36:06Speaker 1: earlier talking about your trip to Africa and everything. So
- 36:10Speaker 1: let's get back into it. If you're you know, if
- 36:13Speaker 1: you want to just talk about Africa and the beauty
- 36:16Speaker 1: of it all. And you said you want all of
- 36:18Speaker 1: us and meaning everyone within you know the sound of
- 36:21Speaker 1: your voice to um to take a trip to the
- 36:24Speaker 1: mother law, especially African Americans. Yeah, I think it's important
- 36:30Speaker 1: to go and see where we're from. I just think
- 36:33Speaker 1: it's it's critically important. And I was talking to the
- 36:36Speaker 1: audience today and we had an interesting conversation some on
- 36:40Speaker 1: Steve Man Why why Yeah, yeah, family few and said, Steve,
- 36:47Speaker 1: why you want to come over here? We're trying to
- 36:48Speaker 1: get over there. I said, careful, you know, going over there,
- 36:52Speaker 1: and it ain't everything you thinking he is. Now, I said,
- 36:55Speaker 1: slow down, I said, and here's an advantage you have
- 36:59Speaker 1: over here? Do you know that Every African that I
- 37:02Speaker 1: talked to, they know their grandfather. They know where their
- 37:05Speaker 1: grandfather is, right, they know something about their great grandfather
- 37:10Speaker 1: and their great great grandfather. They know something about it.
- 37:15Speaker 1: They go all the way back to he was in
- 37:17Speaker 1: this tribe or that tribe, and my great great grandfather
- 37:21Speaker 1: was a warrior here now. And then I told him,
- 37:25Speaker 1: I said, that's the difference. I say, you know where
- 37:28Speaker 1: your grandfather's grandfather was. We don't. We don't, I said,
- 37:36Speaker 1: because there's a disconnect with us because of slavery. Many
- 37:41Speaker 1: of us can only go so far back to our
- 37:44Speaker 1: lineage on ancestry or any other dot com because they
- 37:48Speaker 1: can only trace it back to where they got records,
- 37:51Speaker 1: I said, said, a lot of African Americans that just
- 37:55Speaker 1: have lost I'm lost past my grandfather, I'm lost past
- 38:01Speaker 1: my father's father. My father's father nothing because he was
- 38:06Speaker 1: born into slave, into slavery. See, my father was born
- 38:12Speaker 1: in nineteen fourteen. His father had him at forty just
- 38:18Speaker 1: like they had me at forty two. My father's father
- 38:23Speaker 1: was born into slavery. Nothing. So your grandfather, my grandfather
- 38:32Speaker 1: was a slave. So people people don't understand that sometimes
- 38:39Speaker 1: the heat that I have about it all. And so
- 38:42Speaker 1: when I see them talking about they're gonna make America
- 38:45Speaker 1: great again, when you talking about well, you know, Representative
- 38:50Speaker 1: I mean Senator Lindsey Graham said there's no systemic racism
- 38:53Speaker 1: in America. It's because we still have him because he
- 38:59Speaker 1: and he don't know it, and he qualified it. Because
- 39:02Speaker 1: we had Obama for president and Kamala Harris for vice president.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Then we still had a KKK, we still had a Skinheads,
- 39:12Speaker 1: and we still got the Proud Boys. So what you're
- 39:15Speaker 1: talking about exactly. All right, coming up with thirty four
- 39:19Speaker 1: minutes after the hour, we'll have more of the Steve
- 39:21Speaker 1: Harvey Morning Show. Right after this. You're listening to the
- 39:25Speaker 1: Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right, guys, here we go again.
- 39:31Speaker 1: What's going on? Civil rights Attorney Ben Crump, Bacari Sellers,
- 39:35Speaker 1: and Harry Daniels are all representing the family of Andrew
- 39:39Speaker 1: Brown Junior. Andrew Brown Junior Steve is a forty two
- 39:42Speaker 1: was a forty two year old man Black man that
- 39:45Speaker 1: was shot and killed during the execution of a search warrant.
- 39:50Speaker 1: Andrew Brown Junior was fatally shot by cops in Elizabeth City,
- 39:54Speaker 1: North Carolina, where witnesses say he was driving away when
- 39:58Speaker 1: deputies opened to fire on him. Now, after the shooting,
- 40:03Speaker 1: seven deputies were placed on administrative leave and three resigned.
- 40:08Speaker 1: According to the death certificate, Andrew Brown Junior died from
- 40:12Speaker 1: a gunshot wound to the head. And I mean the
- 40:16Speaker 1: family is still you know, they've been now for days
- 40:20Speaker 1: trying to get the bodycam police tape and you know,
- 40:24Speaker 1: finally they got it, but they only showed him a
- 40:25Speaker 1: snippet of it. Yeah, there's twenty seconds. Yeah, twenty seconds
- 40:30Speaker 1: of that and um, you know, it's just a tragedy.
- 40:34Speaker 1: Another black man shot and he was dry, he was
- 40:37Speaker 1: in a car driving away. They go again, Yeah, you know,
- 40:45Speaker 1: and just say, look, man, if we don't get this
- 40:50Speaker 1: George Floyd Police Act or Reform Bill passed, where we
- 40:56Speaker 1: can get some type of accountability for the actions of
- 41:00Speaker 1: bad police officers that are once again, there are a
- 41:04Speaker 1: lot of great police officers, men and women out there
- 41:07Speaker 1: that is trying to do the right thing. But what
- 41:09Speaker 1: we keep finding over and over it's a whole lot
- 41:14Speaker 1: of bad officers out there. Yeah, they're in the system.
- 41:19Speaker 1: Hence systemic that's where you know, what I'm saying, Come
- 41:23Speaker 1: on now, the bad apples that are in the police department,
- 41:32Speaker 1: they stay bad. See, police get mad when they go
- 41:36Speaker 1: into these hoods and they can't solve crimes because everybody
- 41:41Speaker 1: in the hood got a no snitch policy, right right, Well,
- 41:45Speaker 1: the police have the same thing, that cold blue code
- 41:51Speaker 1: of honor that they live under. They see their fellow
- 41:55Speaker 1: officer doing something wrong and they do the cover up.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Seven policemen on the crime, on the scene, and ain't
- 42:03Speaker 1: nobody got a body cam over right, I ain't seen that.
- 42:06Speaker 1: And the one body cam, one body cam, that's the
- 42:10Speaker 1: one to show the part they can show, right when.
- 42:14Speaker 1: It took him a long time, and in that part
- 42:16Speaker 1: of the country, in North Carolina, they have to They
- 42:19Speaker 1: don't have to just release it to the public. You
- 42:21Speaker 1: have to have a court order to do that. And
- 42:24Speaker 1: it took him forever to get that. And that's why
- 42:27Speaker 1: we have to as well. Vote for stuff like that,
- 42:30Speaker 1: laws like that, slick stuff that they're doing. You need
- 42:33Speaker 1: to find out what's going on, who's putting these laws
- 42:36Speaker 1: in place, and get a constant fight, you know, for us.
- 42:41Speaker 1: And it's like change, change needs to happen with policing
- 42:45Speaker 1: change immediately. Fabio Carl truthful. I'm forty two. Mm hmm,
- 42:54Speaker 1: you think about that. I'm forty two. Okay, you're saying
- 42:58Speaker 1: I'm saying his life is over at for I'm thinking, oh,
- 43:02Speaker 1: mister Brown's life, Yes, that could be me. Yeah. It's
- 43:08Speaker 1: really sad. Yeah, it's it's horrible. I mean, it just
- 43:12Speaker 1: and it continues to happen. It continues to happen. That's
- 43:15Speaker 1: the really sad part. And no one has done anything
- 43:21Speaker 1: about it. Nope, no, I can't. I can't even say
- 43:26Speaker 1: what really has to happen for this to stop, because
- 43:30Speaker 1: see I don't. But you know, it just it just
- 43:36Speaker 1: keeps happening to us. Yeah, this don't happen to nobody else. No,
- 43:42Speaker 1: we don't if people get stopped. I watched the White
- 43:47Speaker 1: Man on Instagram the other day, threatened to kill a
- 43:51Speaker 1: police officer, jumped into his car, stole his car, ain't
- 43:54Speaker 1: fire one shot. I saw the Instagram nother day. Listen,
- 43:59Speaker 1: it's just a it's a sickening thing. What continues to happen.
- 44:05Speaker 1: It's just us. It's just us. But it's not going
- 44:08Speaker 1: to change until it happens to It's the only way
- 44:11Speaker 1: it's going to change. Coming up next, we're gonna switch
- 44:15Speaker 1: gears here. Junior is here with the nephew prank phone call.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Right after this, you're listening to show coming up at
- 44:25Speaker 1: the top of the hour, right about four minutes after,
- 44:27Speaker 1: it's my strawberry letter for today, the subject he came
- 44:31Speaker 1: home with bedbugs you. But right now the junior is
- 44:37Speaker 1: in for the nephew with today's prank phone call. This
- 44:42Speaker 1: is no longer you're on. Yeah, we'll get into that
- 44:45Speaker 1: in a minute. The Strawberry letter. What's your gut for
- 44:47Speaker 1: us today? Junior? And for the nephew. The Nephew's nothew,
- 44:50Speaker 1: but I'm here just just for credit. I'm here Trailer
- 44:56Speaker 1: number eighteen. Surely get what trailer number eighteen? Whoa if
- 45:03Speaker 1: you left us this hit? Hello? Let me sorry, mister
- 45:07Speaker 1: miss Linda. Yes, uh huh, this is one my cousin
- 45:12Speaker 1: Amy and over number eighteen. Yes, okay, we're not gonna
- 45:16Speaker 1: we're not gonna be able to pay to pay the
- 45:19Speaker 1: rent on Friday. Well when will you be able to
- 45:21Speaker 1: pay it? Um? Is it? Is it? Okay? If if
- 45:25Speaker 1: maybe you let us go for the rest of the
- 45:27Speaker 1: year with no ring, Are you kidding? Really? I mean,
- 45:31Speaker 1: you know, you gotta the whole pandemic thing, you know,
- 45:33Speaker 1: so that's not working out, But that's just it. That's
- 45:37Speaker 1: the only start of income that I have. So if
- 45:40Speaker 1: you're going don't pay rent, then I have no fault
- 45:43Speaker 1: from the income. My water bill was over two thousand
- 45:46Speaker 1: dollars this month. How could you even call me and
- 45:49Speaker 1: ask me a question like that? If the pandemic thing
- 45:51Speaker 1: is going on, so a lot of us not working here,
- 45:53Speaker 1: tell me about it, because that's my fault of be income. Yes,
- 46:03Speaker 1: for the rest of the war. No way, no, no way.
- 46:08Speaker 1: We gotta we gotta, we gotta come on with something.
- 46:10Speaker 1: So because we got a problem here, you I thought
- 46:12Speaker 1: you would maybe more like a Christian, that you you
- 46:14Speaker 1: would understand. You know, I'm a Christian, but you need
- 46:16Speaker 1: to be a Christian too and let me and know
- 46:19Speaker 1: that I can't move my move out of my house
- 46:21Speaker 1: and have no where to stay and no food to eat.
- 46:24Speaker 1: But eady. Everybody's a lot of people. It's a lot
- 46:26Speaker 1: of people are not working right now. A lot of
- 46:28Speaker 1: people are not working. That you need to look at
- 46:30Speaker 1: TV and try to seek some of the help that
- 46:32Speaker 1: they're given to tenners because They had it on TV
- 46:35Speaker 1: just today that landlords are going and filing reports on
- 46:39Speaker 1: Tenneth's not pan and that is the Tenneth's responsibility to
- 46:42Speaker 1: try to get some assistance in some help. But no, nobody, No,
- 46:46Speaker 1: we don't know where. We don't know where to go
- 46:47Speaker 1: to get no assistance. Night like we we cannot. We
- 46:50Speaker 1: cannot afford a month left alone a year. And you're
- 46:54Speaker 1: talking about this is not even half the year going,
- 46:57Speaker 1: and you're asking me to give you a year free rent?
- 47:00Speaker 1: What do you think this is? What do you think
- 47:02Speaker 1: I'm gonna live at for right now? We're not working.
- 47:05Speaker 1: We're not working right now, or nobody's working. Well, we're
- 47:08Speaker 1: not working either because the park is a work. That's
- 47:11Speaker 1: my only source of income. I gave everybody a year,
- 47:15Speaker 1: they would shutting my park down. There would be no life,
- 47:17Speaker 1: no water, no nothing over there. And I'm not answering
- 47:21Speaker 1: for everybody else, just your number eighteen, that's all no,
- 47:24Speaker 1: and not for everybody else. Could have the right to
- 47:26Speaker 1: ask if you ask it, and you paying the least
- 47:29Speaker 1: amount of rint that you've just written a lot the
- 47:31Speaker 1: other people are paying triple with your paying. So no,
- 47:35Speaker 1: I cannot okay, we get we I mean, we were getting.
- 47:38Speaker 1: We're supposed to get this stimulus, this stimulus are the
- 47:41Speaker 1: the the the the the stimulus check. We're supposed to
- 47:44Speaker 1: get there. But you know, we need to do other things.
- 47:48Speaker 1: You know, we gotta get some food and and the
- 47:50Speaker 1: TV is out too, and kind of sounds like you
- 47:52Speaker 1: also got to get someplace to say it. Kind of
- 47:55Speaker 1: sounds like you not only have to get that for
- 47:56Speaker 1: JAFT to find you someplace to stay. So because no,
- 48:00Speaker 1: I'm we're not gonna we're not gonna leave and we
- 48:02Speaker 1: got nowhere else to go. Okay, well you have to
- 48:04Speaker 1: leave in boy, if you get evicted to behaf We're not.
- 48:07Speaker 1: We're not. We're not. We're not. We're not going to
- 48:09Speaker 1: leave it. We gotta get it lawyer, then we get
- 48:10Speaker 1: a lawyer. Well, get you a lawyer, help yourself yourself,
- 48:15Speaker 1: get you a lawyer. You can get whatever you want.
- 48:17Speaker 1: But that lets me know right now that if you
- 48:20Speaker 1: know to make a trip to the horse and short
- 48:22Speaker 1: mind sought on the eviction, that's what that lets me though.
- 48:26Speaker 1: But the answer is no, So the conversation is ended.
- 48:29Speaker 1: But we're not we're not working. We're not working right now,
- 48:32Speaker 1: I'm not working either. Well maybe even like they when
- 48:36Speaker 1: they when they look at the TV. The president even
- 48:38Speaker 1: he even knows nobody's working right now. I'm not telling
- 48:40Speaker 1: about it. I'm not working either. My husband's not working either.
- 48:44Speaker 1: None of us are working. I'm not working either, Miss
- 48:47Speaker 1: Miss Michelinda. I don't if someone if someone come here
- 48:51Speaker 1: to eighteen and try to put us out, then then
- 48:54Speaker 1: we got to kick somebody's eyes. You gotta do what
- 48:57Speaker 1: we're gonna to kick somebody's Somebody come and try to
- 48:59Speaker 1: put us out and we got nowhere to go. Well,
- 49:01Speaker 1: you'll be kicking the policies because that's who gonna will
- 49:04Speaker 1: be handling it. We don't do anything illegal. We go
- 49:07Speaker 1: through the court system and we don't put We don't
- 49:10Speaker 1: put anybody out the court do it? Do you know?
- 49:13Speaker 1: I'll let them know what you're saying. I'll let them know.
- 49:16Speaker 1: What do you Where do you live? Where do you live? What?
- 49:18Speaker 1: What does difference does that make to you? I think
- 49:21Speaker 1: it better if I come in. I thought that you
- 49:23Speaker 1: face to facing, maybe we be defeasing. No way, No,
- 49:26Speaker 1: I don't need to talk to anybody's face to face.
- 49:29Speaker 1: You your husband did and then and then you're not
- 49:32Speaker 1: even on the contract for staying there. You're telling me
- 49:35Speaker 1: your cousin. I don't even know where you come from.
- 49:37Speaker 1: I don't even know who you are. I have no
- 49:39Speaker 1: clue who you even are. You say what you gotta say?
- 49:42Speaker 1: We got no successes said, we gotta be out of here.
- 49:44Speaker 1: They're going to do some type of division. What I
- 49:47Speaker 1: tell her, we're not work, We're not We're not working
- 49:50Speaker 1: right now. When we get back to working, then we're
- 49:51Speaker 1: getting easther sir, I am not working either. Okay, this
- 49:54Speaker 1: conversation is in that you have a good day. Fine,
- 49:58Speaker 1: we got Hello, who the hell you think you're hanging
- 50:03Speaker 1: up on? Hello? Can can they speak back to a woman? Thing? Sir? Okay?
- 50:08Speaker 1: Just lord, Hello? Who the hell are you think you're
- 50:18Speaker 1: hanging up on? Lady? I told you by sir, No,
- 50:22Speaker 1: you did you? You hang up on me? And I
- 50:23Speaker 1: mean a minute of a conversation. This conversation. It's ended
- 50:28Speaker 1: and goodbye. That's what I said. Now, whether you were
- 50:31Speaker 1: talking and didn't hear me. That's one thing I don't
- 50:33Speaker 1: hang up in people's faith, because I don't want anybody
- 50:36Speaker 1: hanging up in mind, and I don't want to have
- 50:38Speaker 1: too I say, sir, we have nothing else to say
- 50:41Speaker 1: to each other. This conversation is ended. And I and
- 50:45Speaker 1: I'm telling you, not telling you now. I don't want
- 50:47Speaker 1: to have to whoop anybody's ass, but if someone come
- 50:49Speaker 1: here to eighteen, that's what's gonna happen. I'll let the
- 50:52Speaker 1: Lord know that. Okay. So our conversation is over. So
- 50:55Speaker 1: now you now you know you know you gotta know
- 50:58Speaker 1: who not. And I am saying goodbye. Okay, what can
- 51:02Speaker 1: I Can I say something else? I can't stop you
- 51:04Speaker 1: from talking, but I'm telling you goodbye. Can I tell
- 51:06Speaker 1: you one more thing yourself? This is nephew Tommy from
- 51:10Speaker 1: the Steve Harvey Morning Show. Your daughter Katrina got me
- 51:13Speaker 1: to prank phone call you cartail, Mama Lenda, how you doing?
- 51:36Speaker 1: I'm doing gun I'm gonna beat Katrina up. And I

- 51:45Speaker 1: you gotta do for me, Mama Lenda this twenty twenty.

- 52:03Speaker 1: he got it to y'all already know. Yeah, what about
- 52:09Speaker 1: the man answered the phone? He gave me the second time. Hello,
- 52:13Speaker 1: you got sure? No hold on? Why couldn't he handle it?
- 52:19Speaker 1: It's mad at him? Crazy to my wife? Who is this? Can?
- 52:25Speaker 1: I told you lady, get you on your hold woman second,
- 52:33Speaker 1: I'll get it for you. Yeah, that was crazy. Yes,

- 52:44Speaker 1: the phone and they were talking to Marjorie crazy Steve
- 52:48Speaker 1: what yeah, So let me ask you one thing. So
- 52:57Speaker 1: it's eighteen right next to seventeen, all right, I want yeah,
- 53:04Speaker 1: I just want to make sure because of his cross
- 53:06Speaker 1: the street. Add even I just need to know that
- 53:09Speaker 1: cross the strazy like no, right, and I hear it? Yeah, no,
- 53:18Speaker 1: no hold on? What baby? Come on? Question? Yeah? All right,
- 53:27Speaker 1: thank you. Coming up next, and it's a Strawberry letter
- 53:29Speaker 1: subject he came home with bedbugs. We'll get into it
- 53:33Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, guys,
- 53:39Speaker 1: time now for today's Strawberry Letter. And if you need
- 53:42Speaker 1: advice on relationships, dating, work, sex, parenting, and more. Please
- 53:46Speaker 1: submit your Strawberry letter to Steve HARVEYFM dot com and
- 53:49Speaker 1: click submit Strawberry letcher. We could be reading your letter
- 53:53Speaker 1: live on the air, just like we're gonna read this
- 53:55Speaker 1: one right here, right now. It could be yours. You
- 53:58Speaker 1: never know, all right, time for the strawberry little my
- 54:01Speaker 1: good friend, Thank you, junior subject he came home with bedbugs.
- 54:09Speaker 1: Dear Stephen Shirley. I'm in my late thirties and I'm
- 54:11Speaker 1: married to an older man. We dated for a short
- 54:15Speaker 1: period of time, and he moved in with me before
- 54:17Speaker 1: we got married four months ago. My husband is mean.
- 54:21Speaker 1: My home is in a cozy, close knit community, and
- 54:24Speaker 1: one of my neighbors recognized my husband and couldn't wait
- 54:28Speaker 1: to come give me some gossip on him. She said,
- 54:30Speaker 1: my husband was messing around with her aunt a few
- 54:33Speaker 1: months before he met me, and she thinks he's been
- 54:36Speaker 1: seeing her again since we got married. She described her
- 54:40Speaker 1: aunt as a slut that sleeps around and keeps a
- 54:44Speaker 1: nasty house with cats and dogs all over the place.
- 54:48Speaker 1: She said her aunt tried to sleep with her daddy,
- 54:50Speaker 1: so nobody in the family deals with her anymore. I
- 54:53Speaker 1: couldn't wait to ask my husband about the woman. He
- 54:56Speaker 1: says he knows of her, but that he's never slept
- 54:59Speaker 1: with her or been to her house. I was sure
- 55:02Speaker 1: to tell my neighbor that my husband never fooled around
- 55:04Speaker 1: with her aunt. My neighbor jokingly said, if my husband
- 55:08Speaker 1: ever comes home with fleas, lice or bedbugs, he is
- 55:12Speaker 1: definitely still messing with her aunt. I didn't pay her
- 55:15Speaker 1: any mind until three weeks later, when I was lying
- 55:18Speaker 1: in the bed and my cabs and feet started itching.
- 55:23Speaker 1: I threw back my sheet and saw tiny black dots
- 55:26Speaker 1: on the sheets, and it looked like all of them
- 55:29Speaker 1: were moving. I woke my husband up and accused him
- 55:32Speaker 1: of bringing bedbugs home. I checked his khakis and they
- 55:37Speaker 1: had a few bugs too. He said the bedbugs could
- 55:40Speaker 1: have come from anywhere. We got rid of the bugs,
- 55:43Speaker 1: but should I get rid of my husband too? Do
- 55:45Speaker 1: you think my messy neighbor was right about this? Please advise?
- 55:51Speaker 1: Really you want advice from us, because you already know
- 55:55Speaker 1: the deal. Your husband is sleeping with the nasty woman,
- 55:58Speaker 1: with the cats and dogs and all of that. You're
- 56:01Speaker 1: I mean, what now he's brought bedbugs home? This is
- 56:06Speaker 1: so disgusting. So let me ask you something. Are you
- 56:11Speaker 1: gonna just wait for him to bring something even worse
- 56:14Speaker 1: home while he's sleeping with her? Like a rash or
- 56:17Speaker 1: an infection or a disease or something, and he's lying
- 56:20Speaker 1: about it, saying he knows of her, but he never
- 56:23Speaker 1: slept with her here. Right, So it looks like your
- 56:27Speaker 1: neighbor was correct about everything. I mean, she's nosy and
- 56:31Speaker 1: a gossip in all of that, but it looks like
- 56:34Speaker 1: she's got her fact straight because she's the one who
- 56:36Speaker 1: told you firsthand about the bedbugs, and three weeks later
- 56:40Speaker 1: he brought them home. So I mean, you know, you
- 56:44Speaker 1: can believe what you want to think in your head,
- 56:46Speaker 1: or you can believe what's what was right before you
- 56:49Speaker 1: and on you bedbugs on your Oh god, all right,
- 56:54Speaker 1: So believe her, all right, that's all. She's not lying
- 56:58Speaker 1: about this, Bethugs. Come on, think about it. Yes, Steve,
- 57:04Speaker 1: I'm a little toying on this. Let it not. Really.
- 57:10Speaker 1: It's a lot going on. But there's so many different
- 57:13Speaker 1: conflicting statements in this letter. You're in your late thirties,
- 57:17Speaker 1: you're married to this old dude. Now, he moved in
- 57:20Speaker 1: before y'all got married four months ago. Your home is
- 57:25Speaker 1: in a cozy, close knit community, and one of my
- 57:28Speaker 1: neighbors recognized my husband and couldn't wait to give me
- 57:32Speaker 1: some gossip on you. If she said your husband was
- 57:34Speaker 1: messing around with her aunt a few months ago before
- 57:38Speaker 1: we met, and she thinks he's still seeing her since
- 57:42Speaker 1: we got married, how does she know this? She clearly
- 57:48Speaker 1: said that your husband was messing around with this her
- 57:54Speaker 1: aunt a few months before he met me, and she
- 57:59Speaker 1: thinks he's still seeing her again since we got married.
- 58:05Speaker 1: She thanks that why she described her aunt as a
- 58:10Speaker 1: slut that sleeps all over time, keep a nasty house,
- 58:15Speaker 1: catch dogs all over. She said her I tried to
- 58:19Speaker 1: sleep with her daddy, so nobody in her family deals
- 58:22Speaker 1: with her anymore. Okay, I couldn't wait to ask my
- 58:25Speaker 1: husband about the woman. Here's whether letter took a turn.
- 58:29Speaker 1: He said he knows of her, but he's never slept
- 58:33Speaker 1: with her or been to her house. What's the chances
- 58:38Speaker 1: of your husband knowing of this woman who just happens
- 58:45Speaker 1: to be a slut, who your messy neighbor says she
- 58:49Speaker 1: recognizes your hood? What's the chance of that? I mean,
- 58:55Speaker 1: it don't make no sense in this whole world we
- 58:59Speaker 1: live in, It doesn't make any sense. So right, what,
- 59:05Speaker 1: shill Hew, why do you say doesn't make sense? Though?
- 59:08Speaker 1: Explain that part? Why not. I'm trying to figure out.
- 59:12Speaker 1: Know what I'm saying is what doesn't make sense is
- 59:16Speaker 1: how he says to you that he knows of this woman. Right,
- 59:23Speaker 1: he says he knows of her, but he's never slept
- 59:26Speaker 1: with her or been to her house. Of all the
- 59:28Speaker 1: women in the world, how does your husband even know
- 59:31Speaker 1: of this woman? See, your house is in the coast, cozy,
- 59:36Speaker 1: close knit community, and one of your neighbors recognize my husband.
- 59:43Speaker 1: Your husband don't live that How did your husband just
- 59:46Speaker 1: out of everybody? And then when you accuse him of
- 59:51Speaker 1: this woman ask him, he says he knows of her.
- 59:56Speaker 1: Damn Doc, you'd have been better off just saying I
- 59:59Speaker 1: don't even know who you talking to me. Yeah, he lied. Well,
- 1:00:02Speaker 1: when you said you you know, no, you know of her?
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: That kind of opened the door. Dog. Well, we ain't
- 1:00:12Speaker 1: even got to that part. Yeah anyway, all right, hold
- 1:00:18Speaker 1: that thought, Steve. Okay, we'll have part two of your
- 1:00:21Speaker 1: response coming up at twenty three minutes after the hour,
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: subject he came home with bed bugs. We'll get back
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: into it right after this. You're listening to Steve Show.
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: Come on, Steve, let's recap today's Strawberry letters. Subject he
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: came home with bad bugs. Well you're not. This woman
- 1:00:47Speaker 1: has a messy friend. They live in a cozy knit neighborhood.
- 1:00:51Speaker 1: Your man that you met, who's older y'all before y'all
- 1:00:56Speaker 1: y'all got married four months ago he moved in. One
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: of your neighbors recognize him and said, your husband's messing
- 1:01:04Speaker 1: around with her aunt a few months before he met you,
- 1:01:08Speaker 1: and she thanks, he's been seeing her again since we
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: got married. Who is this woman? Man that just comes
- 1:01:18Speaker 1: damn and I think he's still seeing her. She said
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: her aun't tried to sleep with her daddy, so nobody
- 1:01:26Speaker 1: and her family sells and her honey money. That line
- 1:01:29Speaker 1: right there. I couldn't wait to ask my husband about
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: the woman. He says he knows of her, but he's
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: never slept with her, been to her house dog. Of
- 1:01:41Speaker 1: all the women in the world, how did you get
- 1:01:44Speaker 1: accused of this? And then you say I know of her? How?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: But that's how stupid he is. He could have said,
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: I have no idea what you're talking. I don't know
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: the woman like that by you couldn't need from So
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: then I couldn't wait to tell my neighbor that my
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: husband never fooled around with her. My neighbor jokingly said, well,
- 1:02:04Speaker 1: if your husband never come home with fleas lights and
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: bad bugs, definitely still messing with her. What is in
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: her damn house? Who is famous for fleas, lice and
- 1:02:18Speaker 1: bad books? So I didn't pay any mind it to
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: three weeks later, I'm laying in bed, my calves and
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: feet started you. I threw back my sheets and saw
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: tiny black dots on the sheet and looked like all
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: of them was moving. Well, now them, it's fleas them,
- 1:02:42Speaker 1: it's fleas bad bugs. I've never seen woman. I heard.
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: They're a little bit different. I checked his khakis and
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: they had a few bugs too. He said, the bad books,
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: bad bugs could have come from anywhere. That's a true statement.
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: We got rid of the bugs, But should I get
- 1:03:00Speaker 1: rid of my husband too? Do you think my messy
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: neighbor was right about this? Please about see now we
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: got a little prom because your husbands to I know,
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: I know of her, but I ain't never been on
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: her house. He's lying. Uh, bro, how do you know
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: of a random woman that some random other woman accused you?
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Why didn't you just say I don't know this woman?
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: But because not but now to but what they're good
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to do with what you're supposed to say. That's why
- 1:03:37Speaker 1: you're mad, though I'm mad about the it's what you're
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: supposed to say this standard and stand man a dumb
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: ass man. I know you're gonna turn yourself in with
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: ignorant information. Now, dude, I think it's him possible. It's
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: them bugs in the pockets because you got to take
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: them pants off somewhere. If you laid down at the
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: foot of the bed, you had already said they was
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: down there by your uh calves and and and and
- 1:04:21Speaker 1: and ankles beat so they after foot of the bed.
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: That's where the kakis was laid. But it's a birch
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: of them though. They're everywhere because she's itching. How is
- 1:04:37Speaker 1: she in this damn house? The woman with the catch dogs,
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: the lights, the fleas, the ticks, the bad bugs? Wow?
- 1:04:51Speaker 1: How she living in this nasty house? And hook go
- 1:04:55Speaker 1: over there? I was. I dated a girl one time,
- 1:04:59Speaker 1: a long time. I had a nasty house. That date
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: was so short I felt she had a baby too.
- 1:05:09Speaker 1: I felt bad for the baby. Where can he eat
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: in him? Really? Nah? Man? I went, damn fine chick,
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: nice looking Lord have mercy. Why is all this? And
- 1:05:26Speaker 1: I'm sitting on the couch man after work one day.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: You know I worked in Forward Motor Company. You know,
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: I ain't man. So I'm looking around this house going
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: I got on work clothes and I'm trying to get up.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: I ain't got no where to see me there and
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: work clothes and you know how stuff be happening and
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: you just be looking around like, yes, it's there's something
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: over that movement. You can't ever be comfortable. You can't.
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: And she said, whoa, I just don't be having time
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: to clean this house up. It's so big. This is
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: little as house. And that's the one thing I cannot stand.
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: A woman who's not clean. I do not being clean. Okay,
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: a woman not clean. That's scary because I'm already not
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: the needest guy and and nasty and like messy or
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: junkie or two entirely different things. Yeah, I can't deal
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: with a junkie woman either, because, like I say, I'm
- 1:06:32Speaker 1: not the needest guy in the war. Yeah, yeah, I
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: can't with the bed bugs. I'm done. I'm out, all right. Listen,
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: Thanks Steve, post your comments on today's Strawberry Letter. It's
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: Steve Harvey FM on Instagram and Facebook. Check out the
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: Strawberry Letter podcast. On to Mad coming up in forty
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: six minutes after Junior and Sports Talk right after this.
- 1:06:53Speaker 1: You're listening sty Morning Show. All right, guys, here we go.
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: Junior is here with Sports Talk Shirley. Come on. We
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: ain't got but ten games left in the NBA all
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: season long, but the talk has been about who is
- 1:07:10Speaker 1: gonna be the MVP. Who is the MVP of this season?
- 1:07:16Speaker 1: Right now? I would like to say it's gonna be
- 1:07:18Speaker 1: Steph Curry. Now, Joelian bid seventy six, I got it,
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: But Steph Curry, because look at his last ten games.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: This boy putting up points forty nine, forty seven, thirty three,
- 1:07:33Speaker 1: forty two, fifty three, thirty eight, thirty two, forty one,
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: thirty seven, last ten game, he averaging forty a game.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: He should get it now. You know, when we talk
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: about MVP on is it the team or is it
- 1:07:52Speaker 1: the player? It's a combination because the MVP you forgot
- 1:07:55Speaker 1: to become valuable to your team and assisted man wins.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: You're serious, serious, But is it the record of your team?
- 1:08:08Speaker 1: Will you ain't helping them win? Score all the points
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: you want. Now. I love Steph Kerry, but if we're winning,
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: how valuable is these there? That's what the MVP is
- 1:08:22Speaker 1: and that's his problem right now. He's on an inadequate team.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: But that boy is balling that is out of control.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: But I can't see him giving it to him. But
- 1:08:32Speaker 1: I don't know. I can't think of who's on the
- 1:08:34Speaker 1: list though. Joel Ambid, Yeah, yeah, yeah, you know, I
- 1:08:41Speaker 1: like him a lot, though I think Mbid is a
- 1:08:43Speaker 1: bad boy, don't get me wrong now. And I think
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: Doc Rufids got him playing the best ball he's played,
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: pay best ball he's played since he's been in the league. James,
- 1:08:54Speaker 1: he get hurt too much. They also said, you know, hey, Lebron, James,
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: he ought to. It's only ten games left in the
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: regular season, is it? When they talking about Lebron coming back?
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Anthony's still still healthy. After Davis made his debut last
- 1:09:11Speaker 1: night playing playing against the Mavericks, he had four points.
- 1:09:15Speaker 1: You know he back in, but he back in though
- 1:09:17Speaker 1: he playing. How are you want to look at it?
- 1:09:20Speaker 1: I think yes they did all. You know, they need
- 1:09:25Speaker 1: Lebron to, they need both, so I just think it's
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: just hey, Steph got a case now. He averaging for
- 1:09:33Speaker 1: it over last ten games. I hope you get it
- 1:09:35Speaker 1: because I like him. I like him too. He has
- 1:09:37Speaker 1: a case. So we're just gonna see how this gonna go.
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: Everybody else is out. They hurt, everybody hurt. Well, m
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: all right, all right, Junior, thank you. We'll see who
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: it is coming up. At the top of the hour.
- 1:09:57Speaker 1: We'll talk about money, Steve, where the money resides? Okay,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: right after this, you're listening show, all right, listen, guys,
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: if you gave someone a five hundred thousand dollars lotto
- 1:10:14Speaker 1: ticket as a gift, how much would you expect to
- 1:10:17Speaker 1: get back as a thing? Five? Half a million? Okay,
- 1:10:22Speaker 1: half a million. You gave it away to someone. Of
- 1:10:25Speaker 1: course you didn't know it was a half a million
- 1:10:26Speaker 1: dollar lottery ticket. You just gave someone. Oh, you just
- 1:10:29Speaker 1: gave a lottery ticket as a gift. As a gift. Yeah,
- 1:10:33Speaker 1: So the question would be how much would you expect
- 1:10:36Speaker 1: back as a thank you? So let me let me
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: set it up for you. This woman named Elizabeth cooker
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Nam of Marlborough, Maryland, received a scratch off lottery ticket
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: as a belated birthday present from her brother. She was
- 1:10:49Speaker 1: really happy about that when the ticket won her a
- 1:10:52Speaker 1: five hundred thousand dollars jackpot. Elizabeth told the Virginia Lottery
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: officials that her brother gave of the ticket. It was
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: a premier cash scratch her ticket from the Virginia Lottery.
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: It was a late gift. It was a few days
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: actually after her birthday. She said she forgot about the
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: ticket for a few weeks until she was on the
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: phone with her brother and decided to scratch it off
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: while they were talking, and that's when she found out
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: it was worth five hundred thousand dollars. She said, she's
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: going to give her brother a birthday gift. What do
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: you guys think she gave him? It's probably half his
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: Her brother and she a woman, cause women cheat now
- 1:11:36Speaker 1: when it comes to stuff like that. Are cheap siblings.
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Women siblings are cheap towards a brother. I think it.
- 1:11:47Speaker 1: I think best she gonna give him five grand, but
- 1:11:51Speaker 1: probably five hundred to a thousand. That's it. I don't
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: think she's gonna do more than that. I think five thousand.
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: The guilt. She said she's going to give her brother
- 1:12:03Speaker 1: a big birthday gift. That's what she said. So here's
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: my question to you guys. If you gave someone a
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: five hundred thousand dollars lotto ticket as a gift, how
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: much would you expect to get as a thank you? Well,
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: I wouldn't expect anything because you gave it as a
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: guilt as a gift. Yeah, I wouldn't expect anything. But
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: the person who got it, I think a decent thing
- 1:12:24Speaker 1: would be ten percent. Okay, yeah, but that she ain't
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: given her brother fifty thousand dollars. That's nice. You don't
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: think I give my brother fifty grand? I want the
- 1:12:39Speaker 1: whole hall? Do get fish set? How are you gonna
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: get that bad? Well, I bought the ticket. You gave
- 1:12:48Speaker 1: it to her as a gift as a kid. I
- 1:12:50Speaker 1: don't know what I did, but I bought the ticket
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: five hundred thousand. You want make sense? That's not that's
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: not gonna happen, will that? I want you call? Ain't
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: making no sense? I want yeah, I want you to
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: ask me calling. Well, if somebody gave me a ticket
- 1:13:19Speaker 1: and I hit for five hundred thousand and they gave
- 1:13:22Speaker 1: me the ticket, I'll probably give me fifty grand. Yeah.
- 1:13:26Speaker 1: I think that's decent. I think that's nice. I mean
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: it's ten percent. You gave it to me. Dog wasn't
- 1:13:31Speaker 1: for you, I wouldn't have got this gift. I get
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: five hundred thousands, I'll probably give you fifty grands. Yeah,
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: I think that's cool. Is one who I am? Now?
- 1:13:42Speaker 1: If you gave me a lot of a ticket for
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: five hundred thousand, I probably split it with you. Oh wow,
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: wows beautiful? Thirty years ago? Oh, thirty years ago, five
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: hundred thousand? How to change my identity? Like? No, No,
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: when I was thirty four, if I'd had a half
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: millionaire thirty four, I would have changed my identity. I'd
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: have left everybody I know behind in this world. You
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: got that from Oh, yeah, I'd have bought a ticket
- 1:14:17Speaker 1: to you know, swissling my black ass trying to hide
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: to ski and stuff. I was drinking hot cocoa on
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: the mountain side anonymously in another country. But yeah, I
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: like fifty grand that's cool. But it doesn't say what
- 1:14:41Speaker 1: she ended up giving her brother, No, it doesn't. She
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: just gave him a big birthday gift. All right. We'll
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: have more of today's trending stories on The Steve Harvey

- 1:15:58Speaker 1: you know. I mean you think about like today, which
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: was a great day for me because I'm coming off

- 1:16:20Speaker 1: so I don't get through till late at night. You know.
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: It's it's tough sometimes, but it's afforded me a lifestyle
- 1:16:28Speaker 1: for my family and I can get doing nothing else.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: It's okay, yeah, all right, okay. We'll be back with
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: more of a Steve Harvey Morning Show at thirty three
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: minutes after right after this you're listening show. All right, guys,
- 1:16:46Speaker 1: here we go again. What's going on? Civil rights attorney
- 1:16:49Speaker 1: Ben Crump, Beccari Sellers, and Harry Daniels are all representing
- 1:16:54Speaker 1: the family of Andrew Brown Junior. Andrew Brown Junior Steve
- 1:16:58Speaker 1: Is the forty two was a forty three year old
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: man Black man that was shot and killed during the
- 1:17:04Speaker 1: execution of a search warrant. Andrew Brown Junior was fatally
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: shot by cops in Elizabeth City, North Carolina, where witnesses
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: say he was driving away when deputies opened fire on him. Now,
- 1:17:18Speaker 1: after the shooting, seven deputies were placed on administrative leave
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: and three resigned. According to the death certificate, Andrew Brown
- 1:17:27Speaker 1: Junior died from a gunshot wound to the head. And
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: I mean the family is still you know, they've been
- 1:17:35Speaker 1: now for days trying to get the bodycam police tape,
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: and you know, finally they got it, but they only
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: showed him a snippet of it. There's second, yeah, twenty
- 1:17:46Speaker 1: seconds of that, and you know it's just a tragedy.
- 1:17:50Speaker 1: Another black man shot and he was dry. He was
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: in a car driving away to go again. Yeah, you know, look, man,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: if we don't get this George Floyd Police Act or
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: Reform Bill passed, where we can get some type of
- 1:18:08Speaker 1: accountability for the actions of the bad police officers are
- 1:18:14Speaker 1: once again, there are a lot of great police officers,
- 1:18:17Speaker 1: men and women out there is trying to do the
- 1:18:19Speaker 1: right thing. But what we keep finding over and over,
- 1:18:23Speaker 1: it's a whole lot of bad officers out there. Yeah,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: they're in the system. Hence systemic, that's you know what
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: I'm saying. Come on, now, the family, listen to the
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: bad apples that are in the police department. They stay bad. See,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: police get mad when they go into these hoods and
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: they can't solve crimes because everybody in the hood got
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: a no snitch policy. Right. Well, the police have the
- 1:18:57Speaker 1: same thing, that cold code of honor that they live under.
- 1:19:03Speaker 1: They see their fellow officer doing something wrong and they
- 1:19:07Speaker 1: do the cover up. Seven policemen on the crimes on
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: the scene, and ain't nobody got to buy the cam
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: on right, I ain't seen that, and that they only
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: released one body cam. One body cam that's the one
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: to show the part they can shelt right. It took
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: them a long time, and in that part of the country,
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: in North Carolina, they have to They don't have to
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: just release it to the public. You have to have
- 1:19:31Speaker 1: a court order to do that. And it took them
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: forever to get that. And that's why we have to
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: vote for stuff like that. Laws like that. You need
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: to find out what's going on. Who's putting these laws
- 1:19:42Speaker 1: in place? A constant fight, you know, for us, and
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: it's like change, change needs to happen with policing. Coming
- 1:19:52Speaker 1: up at forty nine minutes after it's our last break
- 1:19:54Speaker 1: of the day, and of close, we will have some
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: inspiring closing remarks from the one of them, Steve Harvey,
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: right after this. You're listening all right, here we are
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: our last break of the day, guys, on this Tuesday,
- 1:20:10Speaker 1: our last break of the day. And it's been a
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: good day. We're still keeping an eye on this Andrew
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: Brown Junior case out of North Carolina. This is horrible,
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: Benjamin Crump all on the news again yesterday. It's just
- 1:20:29Speaker 1: it's just horrible. Again. Here we go again. Yeah. So
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: I'm just I'm tired of it. It's exhausting. It It
- 1:20:38Speaker 1: really is exhausting. We never get and you know what
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: we need. We need more people other than black folks
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: to see this for what it is and start calling
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: it out. It's the only way we'll ever get through
- 1:20:55Speaker 1: to this. We need somebody else other than black people
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: to go, hey, you know what, man, this really ain't
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: right right. And thanks to all of the other races
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: and nationalities have been marching, you know, because there have
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: been a lot of them, and they have drawn attention
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: to it. But we need more, you know, because this
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: is a keeps going and going and going. It seems
- 1:21:21Speaker 1: that's it, surely. I mean, ever since last year when
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: the pandemic, like you said, Steve, when this time last year, George,
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: you know this, Yeah, every day we just look at
- 1:21:35Speaker 1: the news and just and you know, listen as an
- 1:21:39Speaker 1: entertainment show. Yeah, we try to bring a distraction from
- 1:21:45Speaker 1: a lot of stuff that's going on, you know, some levity,
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: some enjoyment. Laughing at Strawberry letter laughing at a poem,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: just a moment to give you something, prank phone call,
- 1:21:56Speaker 1: you don't, just give you something else to do. And
- 1:22:00Speaker 1: he can't do that because every week they're killing somebody else.
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: The part that's the most disturbing to me is that
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: it only happens to black people. There are no stories
- 1:22:20Speaker 1: about cops pulling anybody over white. They drive off and
- 1:22:23Speaker 1: they kill them, kill them. They selling cigarettes, they kill them.
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: They talking on the phone, they kill them. They playing
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: their music loud, they kill them. I thought it was
- 1:22:33Speaker 1: a gun. It was a cell phone, and I kill them.
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: It's only black people, see, and the outrage has to
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: come from somebody else other than blacks. We have been
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: sick and tired of this for over four hundred years.
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: And then and then the counter is white lives matter too.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: When saying it don't, damn man, Yeah they no you
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: those people don't even want us to say that. Yeah,
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: white lives matter too. Yeah man, nobody said it don't.
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: But ain't nobody shooting your life from you. Nobody's pulling
- 1:23:26Speaker 1: your life, overtaking it for a traffic violation, for a misunderstanding.
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: I thought it was a taser what man, the last
- 1:23:37Speaker 1: time you've done that? When the last time a black
- 1:23:40Speaker 1: person then walked up to a white person's though shot
- 1:23:44Speaker 1: him and saying I thought they was in my apartment
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: because we know gonna hill. Well, we can't say that right,
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: so I'm just gonna say it again. We need somebody
- 1:23:59Speaker 1: else to help us and get involved with this. And
- 1:24:02Speaker 1: I feel sick. Let me tell you what. It sickens
- 1:24:05Speaker 1: me to have to ask for that type of hill.
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: It sickens me because it's a damn shade that this
- 1:24:13Speaker 1: country is not what it says as is on paper.
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: That's the alarming thing, the the inalible right to the
- 1:24:22Speaker 1: pursuit of happiness. Okay, I'm gonna sit in my house.
- 1:24:29Speaker 1: I've been off work, I'm tired, and I'm gonna eat
- 1:24:31Speaker 1: me a bowl eyes creep. I don't watch TV. Wow,
- 1:24:34Speaker 1: but I'm gonna go to the door and I'm gonna die.
- 1:24:38Speaker 1: I was just pursuing a little moment of happiness. That's
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: all I was doing. I get stopped. I called my
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: mama to tell her I'm being pulled over. That's the
- 1:24:50Speaker 1: last time my mama talked to me. Oh god, what,
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: I'm just selling some cigarettes, some loose sick garrets in
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: New York. I got I probably ain't supposed to be
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: doing it, but I'm just selling some cigaretts. I got
- 1:25:08Speaker 1: to die for it for that. See what do you
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: want us to do? Right? How you don't understand how
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: sick and tie we are of this? But then we
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: watch repeatedly you climbed to storm the Capitol walls, soliders, nothing, nothing, nothing,
- 1:25:40Speaker 1: We watch you them do it. They stormed a capital building,
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: threatened the lives of senators and cong in there, and
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: guess what, everybody was a pall. They gathered themselves and
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: realized that was against their policy. And now all and
- 1:26:03Speaker 1: damn senators talking about it. Wasn't that bad? It wasn't
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: that bad. People die people, Yeah, that bad. I don't understand. Yeah,
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: that logic, that logic, What what do you mean? It
- 1:26:15Speaker 1: wasn't that man died? We're exhausted from being and were
- 1:26:24Speaker 1: exhausted from exhaustion, Yes, sir, sick and tired of being,
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: sick and tired, sick and tired of all of y'all
- 1:26:31Speaker 1: with dismiss Be patient. We're working on it. For what
- 1:26:36Speaker 1: what's it to work on my right to be a
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: human being? And then they're trying to take our voting
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: rights away. They did it in Georgia. They trying everything
- 1:26:45Speaker 1: saying it's all ain't right, man, this is America. Y'all
- 1:26:51Speaker 1: have a great day. Name. Sorry we ended on a
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: note like this, but it is what it is. We'll
