- 1:43Speaker 1: to turn out to the water the water. Come come
- 1:58Speaker 1: on your baby, got it? Uh huh? I shore will
- 2:03Speaker 1: good morning everybody. You are listening to the voice, come
- 2:06Speaker 1: on dig me NW one and only. Steve Harvey got
- 2:09Speaker 1: a radio show, Man one more time. Steve Harvey got
- 2:13Speaker 1: a radio show. Yeah, I do, man, I thank God
- 2:16Speaker 1: for it every day. You know, Um, my message this morning,
- 2:21Speaker 1: man is real clear. It's something that's been on me
- 2:24Speaker 1: to share, and it's it's amazing. You know, Um, God
- 2:32Speaker 1: can do some amazing things for you. But what happens
- 2:39Speaker 1: along the way is and I don't know that I
- 2:42Speaker 1: mean to say, but but the fact that God can
- 2:46Speaker 1: do some amazing things for you, that comes adversity along
- 2:50Speaker 1: with it. Every single time. It it just goes without saying.
- 3:00Speaker 1: And I've as I was on this pressed tool last
- 3:03Speaker 1: week and I was going through everything I was going
- 3:06Speaker 1: through and I was doing what I was doing. I
- 3:08Speaker 1: was having a fairly I mean well not fairly, but
- 3:13Speaker 1: a hugely successful week. I had never seen this type
- 3:18Speaker 1: of hatred before. I hadn't seen it. And it's it's
- 3:24Speaker 1: a great trick that the devil does. You know, when
- 3:27Speaker 1: when God is blessing you and giving you some some
- 3:30Speaker 1: some great opportunities in your life, as all of you
- 3:33Speaker 1: have gone through, and it is isn't it amazing how
- 3:37Speaker 1: some negative thing crops up and that's what you have
- 3:39Speaker 1: to focus on. I found out that I don't have to,
- 3:43Speaker 1: but you wind up focusing on it, and your energy
- 3:46Speaker 1: goes over to that to try to deal with it, counteract.
- 3:50Speaker 1: Wonder why I was happening. You gotta make phone calls,
- 3:53Speaker 1: what was this about? Blah blah blah blah blah, and
- 3:55Speaker 1: and it and it throws you off the course you
- 3:59Speaker 1: are on the beginning of the week, I was so grateful,
- 4:03Speaker 1: I was so amazed. I was really thanking God for
- 4:06Speaker 1: opportunity for this brief moment. The enemy slides this little
- 4:12Speaker 1: factor in there that causes you to and it requires
- 4:16Speaker 1: your attention. You have to pay an attention because you
- 4:18Speaker 1: don't know what you're going. Wow, man, let me see
- 4:20Speaker 1: what this could really be. How much dirt is this
- 4:23Speaker 1: really that they're trying to do? And so it requires
- 4:26Speaker 1: your attention, But in that attention, you lose your focus
- 4:32Speaker 1: on really all the blessings and the good thing that
- 4:34Speaker 1: God does for you. That the enemy has an amazing
- 4:38Speaker 1: trick that he does that, And it was and it
- 4:41Speaker 1: was in my head. I gotta tell y'all all week long, man,
- 4:44Speaker 1: and I was doing some amazing stuff. I was having
- 4:48Speaker 1: such a blessed week man, in terms of press and
- 4:51Speaker 1: pr and where God was taking me. And then when
- 4:55Speaker 1: I got back, I was talking with my wife, and
- 4:59Speaker 1: then I was talking to a good friend of ours
- 5:02Speaker 1: and they shared something that really helped me out. And
- 5:08Speaker 1: they said to me, new level, new devil. You know,
- 5:14Speaker 1: it's it's something really simple, but new level, new devil.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Every time you go to another level, every time you
- 5:24Speaker 1: go a little bit higher, every time God has a
- 5:28Speaker 1: blessing in store for you, every time He moves you
- 5:31Speaker 1: in position. Do you understand that the enemy's job is
- 5:35Speaker 1: to make you not see the blessing, make you not
- 5:39Speaker 1: be grateful for it, lose your focus and focus on
- 5:43Speaker 1: this that I just threw in your way, the stumbling block,
- 5:46Speaker 1: this obstacle, this trickery, And man, I was, I was,
- 5:50Speaker 1: I got you. I just gotta tell you, man, I mean,
- 5:53Speaker 1: it was so filled with hatred that I had to
- 5:56Speaker 1: I really spend some time addressing it. You know, I
- 5:58Speaker 1: got publicists on the phone. I said, what's what's happening here?
- 6:01Speaker 1: Y'all not watching this? Y'all not what what was? What
- 6:04Speaker 1: was this attack? You knew that you didn't know these angles?
- 6:06Speaker 1: What what was? And you know, Steve Chill, new level,
- 6:12Speaker 1: new devil. If you get a promotion on your job,
- 6:15Speaker 1: guess what, somebody ain't happy that you got the promotion.
- 6:20Speaker 1: So here come to hey. You don't even you don't
- 6:22Speaker 1: even really know these people. You have no idea. Every
- 6:26Speaker 1: time you make a decision to make your relationship with
- 6:30Speaker 1: your spouse better, man, this is it. You know what
- 6:34Speaker 1: I'm gonna start doing. I'm gonna do this, man, so
- 6:36Speaker 1: me and my girl can go on and have this
- 6:38Speaker 1: on me and my man can go on and have this.
- 6:40Speaker 1: Watch what happened every single time? Here comes the new level,
- 6:46Speaker 1: the new devil, the trick. You don't need to do that.
- 6:49Speaker 1: What you're doing that for her. She don't appreciate it.
- 6:51Speaker 1: He ain't gonna appreciate it. Look over here, man, look
- 6:54Speaker 1: at that right there. Ain't he nothing? You know, he missed,
- 6:57Speaker 1: he didn't call you, And he said, there's gonna all
- 6:59Speaker 1: types of stuff. It just happens all the time. And
- 7:02Speaker 1: I was sitting here talking with this friend, really good friend,
- 7:05Speaker 1: very spiritual person, and they said, you know something, Steve.
- 7:08Speaker 1: You know, I was talking to Jesus and said I
- 7:11Speaker 1: was having this conversation with Christ. And I said, God,
- 7:15Speaker 1: for real, you mean to tell me every time that
- 7:20Speaker 1: something good happens to me. You mean, every time I
- 7:24Speaker 1: try to go to the next level, every time you
- 7:26Speaker 1: put me on the next level. You mean to tell
- 7:29Speaker 1: me that I got to go through this right here?
- 7:32Speaker 1: Are you for real? And then my friend said, Jesus said,
- 7:38Speaker 1: they did it to me, and we just fell out laughing.
- 7:44Speaker 1: They did it to me. They did it to him.
- 7:49Speaker 1: They did it to him for him to go to
- 7:51Speaker 1: the next level. And you know, I was just I
- 7:54Speaker 1: was just going over the whole story about the crucifixion
- 7:57Speaker 1: and everything that had to be amazing. Man, of all
- 8:00Speaker 1: the hate he had endured, all the prosecuting he had
- 8:03Speaker 1: do it. They thought, ultimately, what we'll do is we'll
- 8:07Speaker 1: nail him on a cross and crucified, and that'll be
- 8:10Speaker 1: the end of him. And we'll put him in his
- 8:12Speaker 1: tune and we'll put this big stone up there, and
- 8:15Speaker 1: that'll be the end of him. But what they did
- 8:17Speaker 1: not know was all you was doing was setting the
- 8:20Speaker 1: tone for the next level, because eventually the stone got
- 8:24Speaker 1: rolled away and he went and got placed with his
- 8:27Speaker 1: father where he was headed to. Anyway, he ultimately knew
- 8:32Speaker 1: that his ultimate goal was to get to his father.
- 8:36Speaker 1: So when you when you when you thought you were
- 8:40Speaker 1: doing what you were doing to him, and you put
- 8:44Speaker 1: him in the tune and you put the big stone
- 8:45Speaker 1: up in there, and the stone got rolled got rolled away,
- 8:49Speaker 1: and he went eventually to where he was trying to
- 8:51Speaker 1: get to. That story is in place for all of
- 8:57Speaker 1: us to remember that when y'all going through some things,
- 9:02Speaker 1: could it be because we are going to a place,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know, It could be just a place in life.
- 9:08Speaker 1: It could be just a different level in life. That's
- 9:11Speaker 1: all it has to be. But there's going to be
- 9:14Speaker 1: the adversarial challenges that come with it, and those are
- 9:19Speaker 1: the moments we must expect, expect, and take them head
- 9:23Speaker 1: on and still not lose your focus or appreciation for
- 9:26Speaker 1: what God has done for you. So in light of
- 9:29Speaker 1: all of that, I'm able to say the day that
- 9:31Speaker 1: I thank my heavenly Father, I really do for all
- 9:34Speaker 1: the blessing season bestowed upon me, and all of the
- 9:37Speaker 1: haters and all of the liars, and all of the
- 9:41Speaker 1: backstabbers and all those people. When you get through lying,
- 9:46Speaker 1: when you get through stabbing, when you get through gossiping
- 9:50Speaker 1: and doing what you do, I'm still going to the
- 9:55Speaker 1: next level. I'm still going. You cannot stop what God
- 10:03Speaker 1: has in store for you, No one can stop that.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Keep your faith right there where it's supposed to be
- 10:09Speaker 1: in God. And just remember new level. New devil gonna
- 10:13Speaker 1: keep stepping he over there. He gotta do his job now.
- 10:15Speaker 1: He is who he is. You know, he's evil, So
- 10:19Speaker 1: he gonna do his job. And please know he has
- 10:22Speaker 1: plenty of people who are willing to work for him
- 10:27Speaker 1: free of charge. Absolutely, man, ain't got nothing else to do.
- 10:31Speaker 1: They ain't going away anything to watch you go nowhere.
- 10:34Speaker 1: They don't like you. I'm gonna do everything I can
- 10:36Speaker 1: to show people how much I don't like you. But
- 10:38Speaker 1: watch this every single time. When they get through lying,
- 10:41Speaker 1: writing it, typing it, saying it, all they're gonna do
- 10:44Speaker 1: is watch you go right on up to that next level.
- 10:47Speaker 1: All they are is preparation. I have learned some amazing
- 10:50Speaker 1: things from last week. I'm ready now new level. Cool
- 10:55Speaker 1: with it. You're listening to me, man, have your attention, please,
- 11:02Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Day after the Super Bowl.
- 11:11Speaker 1: I am here to discuss it. Not in great leaves
- 11:17Speaker 1: because there's nothing to discuss, true, but ladies, legitimen, we
- 11:22Speaker 1: are here. Shirley Strawberry, Good morning, Steve, Happy day after.
- 11:28Speaker 1: Carlifrell is on vacation, and so it's junior. Well, Carl's
- 11:36Speaker 1: out sick. Actually she's out sick. Juniors on vacation. Vacation. Yeah,
- 11:41Speaker 1: we do get it. Such a thing as vacation took
- 11:44Speaker 1: her down. Well I should have did thatty Well, only
- 11:51Speaker 1: if Cleveland was playing in your show. Oh, if Cleveland
- 11:55Speaker 1: was playing, I wouldn't be in a condition to be here.
- 11:58Speaker 1: I want to hear about you and Baker. Maybe that's
- 12:00Speaker 1: what I want to hear about. H Well, I know
- 12:04Speaker 1: you said there's nothing to discuss about the game, but
- 12:07Speaker 1: there's a lot to discuss. This was the worst case
- 12:09Speaker 1: of officiating I've ever seen in my time life. The
- 12:14Speaker 1: game should be played over. Okay, what are you taking
- 12:18Speaker 1: over the nothing? Yes, played completely over. We was cheated.
- 12:24Speaker 1: We was robbed. That was two weeks ago. Robbed La
- 12:29Speaker 1: La was robbed. Big dog, curly and ignorant. Jay, good morning,
- 12:39Speaker 1: they robbed us. Okay, wait a minute, Okay, I have
- 12:44Speaker 1: to watch because we have to watch the commercials. Right.
- 12:47Speaker 1: That was good. It was a good commercial. I was
- 12:50Speaker 1: at the game, so I didn't see no commercials. Douments.
- 12:53Speaker 1: They was better than the game. Oh yeah yeah, oh yeah,
- 12:56Speaker 1: yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah. But okay, we'll
- 13:00Speaker 1: get into that. But okay, so let's start off first, Steve,
- 13:03Speaker 1: with the NFL honors with which you nailed. You did.
- 13:08Speaker 1: You did excellent job. Excellent job Saturday night. Come on,
- 13:14Speaker 1: come on, get to the excellent job. You looked great.
- 13:17Speaker 1: I know, you looked fantastic. It was fun though, The
- 13:22Speaker 1: energy was great in the room. I just loved all
- 13:25Speaker 1: the self expression with the fashions and everything. And I
- 13:29Speaker 1: loved your moment when you introduced Baker Mayfield, the quarterback
- 13:33Speaker 1: for the Cleveland Browns, No, Shirley when he thought Ninja
- 13:38Speaker 1: was on that's the one. That's the moment. Wait a minute,
- 13:48Speaker 1: you were boy. They put the camera on deck, Dak
- 13:52Speaker 1: was on the floe. I said, please welcome Tyler and
- 13:56Speaker 1: the you were Lincoln stick. What did run that back again?
- 14:04Speaker 1: Let me see that again? I know anyone? I think
- 14:07Speaker 1: Tyler the Ninjel Ninel that was. That was funny. That
- 14:15Speaker 1: was a moment. That was good. Yeah you look good.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Yeah you did appreciated. Yeah, all right, we'll come back
- 14:29Speaker 1: and talk more about the super Bowl. Steve's great night
- 14:32Speaker 1: on Saturday, all of that right after this. You're listening
- 14:35Speaker 1: to the show. All right, Steve, So you were actually
- 14:39Speaker 1: at the super Bowl? You were actually there there? What
- 14:43Speaker 1: was that like? I mean, I mean, you know, that's
- 14:46Speaker 1: the first time I've ever been in the stadium. Oh okay,
- 14:49Speaker 1: the stadium was was outstanding, because yeah, the game was
- 14:55Speaker 1: the worst thing I've ever seen. I mean, you talk
- 14:59Speaker 1: about away to time. I mean, I mean I could
- 15:03Speaker 1: not believe the offensive output that the Rams put forward.
- 15:11Speaker 1: I was astonished. And how many times they ran girly
- 15:14Speaker 1: out to the flat not to figure out that Patriots
- 15:18Speaker 1: was spying on him and had somebody in the flat
- 15:20Speaker 1: with him every time. I was amazed, man, because to me,
- 15:27Speaker 1: the Rams defense played a great game. Yeah, if you
- 15:31Speaker 1: get Tom Brady all the way to the fourth quarter
- 15:34Speaker 1: with three points, I mean, man, you're supposed to win
- 15:39Speaker 1: the super Bowl. If you hold Brady to thirteen points,
- 15:44Speaker 1: you're supposed to win the super Bowl. And they and
- 15:50Speaker 1: they didn't. I just said, I was sitting there, I
- 15:53Speaker 1: looked up. I was the worst something about the game,
- 15:57Speaker 1: that's absolute truth. Were all playing like nobody wanted to
- 16:02Speaker 1: go meet Trump. That's how they were playing. Good observation. Shake,
- 16:13Speaker 1: we are going down. I don't want to. It's funny that. Well,
- 16:21Speaker 1: you made some good commercials. Yeah, commercials were really good,
- 16:24Speaker 1: right Yeah. My favorite I didn't, I didn't. My favorite
- 16:29Speaker 1: was the football banquet with all the lasts there. That
- 16:32Speaker 1: was my favorite. Bar Nune Okay, that's what I saw.
- 16:36Speaker 1: Oh my god, because they showed that in the stadium.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Oh did they Okay, that elevated one when the youths
- 16:44Speaker 1: m Shelly. Well, I mean everything else paled in comparison.
- 16:48Speaker 1: They were good, but that one was greatness. To me.
- 16:51Speaker 1: I just love that commercial. I just he mobile had
- 16:54Speaker 1: some goals. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I saw and I all
- 17:00Speaker 1: dog Elevator one and all I could do was get
- 17:04Speaker 1: an idea of what they were doing, you know, Oh,
- 17:07Speaker 1: okay it was. It was, man, I can't tell you,
- 17:12Speaker 1: but man, you'd have thought that this game was played
- 17:17Speaker 1: in New England. Oh yeah, yeah, they said, many New
- 17:23Speaker 1: England fans there. Oh dog, it was. You couldn't walk
- 17:28Speaker 1: no where. It was just Brady and grown Jerseys. My wife.
- 17:35Speaker 1: My wife wore a Patriots hat. Okay, well can we
- 17:42Speaker 1: can we back up just a minute. I just want
- 17:45Speaker 1: to just give Gladys Knights some love for the national anthem.
- 17:49Speaker 1: She's sang the national anthem. Looked. Oh she's amazing, Yeah, amazing.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Four years old, she looks beautiful and strong. Oh she
- 17:59Speaker 1: was great. And you know, to all of the people
- 18:03Speaker 1: that was talking about what about the boycott of the NFL,
- 18:09Speaker 1: what boycott? You know this this calling an artist not
- 18:13Speaker 1: to perform. You know, I've just been a proponent of this.
- 18:17Speaker 1: If we're going boycott, then let's get organized so everybody
- 18:20Speaker 1: know what the purpose and the tone is. I didn't
- 18:24Speaker 1: get met people mad at Gladys for singing the national anthem.
- 18:28Speaker 1: I didn't get that. Here's the reason. They were even
- 18:32Speaker 1: on my wife's page. They were making comments after we
- 18:35Speaker 1: posted the Super Bowl where we were the game. What
- 18:37Speaker 1: happened to y'allre not supposed to be going to the
- 18:40Speaker 1: game and supporting Again, wa, where did this come from?
- 18:43Speaker 1: Because I does that mean? Oh Doc, I don't understand
- 18:47Speaker 1: where people come from. We're supposed to be showing our
- 18:50Speaker 1: support for Colin Kaepernick. I want everybody to understand something.
- 18:54Speaker 1: None of the players are kneeling anymore at the national anthem.
- 18:59Speaker 1: Be the president came in and changed the narrative. Was
- 19:03Speaker 1: he dead wrong? Absolutely? Absolutely, he was dead wrong. But
- 19:08Speaker 1: guess what all the players was at the NFL honors.
- 19:14Speaker 1: All the players that were supposed to be that were
- 19:18Speaker 1: at the Super Bowl, well not all of them that
- 19:21Speaker 1: was supposed to be there. The Saints was supposed to
- 19:24Speaker 1: be there, but you know, but everybody came to the game.
- 19:30Speaker 1: So I don't I don't know where this cry from
- 19:32Speaker 1: the disorganized masses, Not even the masses, but this small
- 19:37Speaker 1: group of people who are very disorganized, who mad at
- 19:40Speaker 1: people for going to the Super Bowl. I didn't understand that. Wow, well,
- 19:45Speaker 1: I mean Colin Kaepernick still has his cause he still
- 19:48Speaker 1: you know, stands up for what he believes in. But
- 19:50Speaker 1: he's also moved on in a sense that he's with
- 19:54Speaker 1: Nike now, he's doing you know, other things. So I
- 19:58Speaker 1: mean the cause is still there, of course. I mean
- 20:01Speaker 1: that cause was long before Colin Capital. Yeah, we've been
- 20:06Speaker 1: fighting this cause for a long time. He bought attention
- 20:09Speaker 1: to it and the NFL players joined it. But they
- 20:12Speaker 1: saw what had happened. So instead of ruining all of
- 20:16Speaker 1: their lives with this ill fadd protest that they've changed
- 20:22Speaker 1: the narrative owned, the brothers decided to go about a
- 20:25Speaker 1: different way. So they standing for the national anthem now
- 20:28Speaker 1: and we just have to tackle it another way because
- 20:32Speaker 1: mainly the president jumped on it and made it a
- 20:35Speaker 1: political cause of his Yeah, and changed the narrative. And
- 20:41Speaker 1: so you know that's so I didn't understand a lot. Yeah,
- 20:48Speaker 1: the reason you have a halftime show with black people
- 20:52Speaker 1: own it got a lot to do it. Gladdys, glad halftime?
- 20:57Speaker 1: What you were there for the halftime? How was that?
- 20:59Speaker 1: I was with Maroon crazy that that that boy is
- 21:05Speaker 1: Adam Adam Levine. Huh, that's that's a bad boy. Yeah, Yeah,
- 21:10Speaker 1: one of the two thousand tattoos or is it three
- 21:12Speaker 1: thousand tattoos? I kin right after the game. Yeah. Yeah,
- 21:19Speaker 1: the lady screamed when he took a shirt off big boy.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Um Travis Scott. Yeah, so that was it for the halftime. Um. Yeah,
- 21:29Speaker 1: I'm glad you liked that, Steve. It seemed fun. It
- 21:32Speaker 1: was really good watching them set the stage up and
- 21:36Speaker 1: get rid of it. Wow. Yeah, all right, we'll come
- 21:39Speaker 1: back Reverend Motown Deacon death jam in the building right
- 21:42Speaker 1: after this. You're listening to Steve Show, all right, coming
- 21:47Speaker 1: up at the top of the hour, Miss Anne will
- 21:49Speaker 1: be here with our national headlines. You're all right, Steve?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Oh yeah, he had an entertainment, just recovering from that
- 21:56Speaker 1: exciting game, and it's him and news. Jesse small Lett
- 22:02Speaker 1: returns to the stage after his recent attack and a
- 22:05Speaker 1: Shad Moss was also arrested over the weekend. Bow. Wow,
- 22:08Speaker 1: we'll talk about that. But right now, it is Monday.
- 22:10Speaker 1: Reverend Motown Deacon death jam in the building with church complaints. Oh, gavel,
- 22:21Speaker 1: boss Silf, come on here, passed ah muscleful God huh
- 22:30Speaker 1: that today today is Monday. Yes, it is a day
- 22:36Speaker 1: where we gavel. That's right. And complain about Sunday. About Sunday, Lord,
- 22:46Speaker 1: oh Lord, old lord, what a day to complain about.
- 22:53Speaker 1: Let us begin deaf jail. I get morning, pastor an
- 22:59Speaker 1: the car cogregation seemed to have a problem with you
- 23:03Speaker 1: first and foremost, Pastor. I'm they're wanting to know how
- 23:07Speaker 1: much money, how much of the church money did you
- 23:11Speaker 1: spend on this suite that you was at the super
- 23:13Speaker 1: Bowl last night? And how the congregation wants to know
- 23:19Speaker 1: exactly how much money you spent on this suite. We
- 23:22Speaker 1: feel like it is some unnecessary spendings that is coming
- 23:26Speaker 1: from the congregation. Money well, just to risk more or
- 23:32Speaker 1: sheep or shoe. All right, the jack part jack part
- 23:39Speaker 1: Joint of Jerusalem does not pay me enough to get
- 23:44Speaker 1: no sweet down at that damn stadium. Then how did
- 23:49Speaker 1: you get it? There's what they're saying. Then I was
- 23:51Speaker 1: invited down now to be a participant in the sweet.
- 24:00Speaker 1: So I'll speak so this one or not you are sweet?
- 24:05Speaker 1: Nor it wouldn't my sweet. You saw the white folk
- 24:07Speaker 1: in now, all right, I wouldn't let the congregation out
- 24:15Speaker 1: not sweet white people sweet? He does all right? Put
- 24:20Speaker 1: that write that down, Write that down. Now here's another issue, Pastor,
- 24:24Speaker 1: all of our stripper members cleaned up big time this
- 24:27Speaker 1: weekend at the super Bowl in Atlanta. Pastor, the financial
- 24:31Speaker 1: committee is asking that these dollar bills be dry cleaned
- 24:35Speaker 1: or washed in hot water and bleached before putting in
- 24:37Speaker 1: the collection basket. It's on you to talk to these
- 24:40Speaker 1: strippers about getting this money. I've already spoke with the
- 24:43Speaker 1: strippers and because of our orsm or SMC orders, well
- 24:54Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't see that, dude, SMC. Is the strippers
- 25:00Speaker 1: the street condition. I've asked the strippers please since y'all
- 25:06Speaker 1: did so well this weekend to tied and for strippers
- 25:11Speaker 1: this week was twenty percent instead of ten instead of ten.
- 25:17Speaker 1: And you ain't got to wash it, scrubbed, flip it,
- 25:19Speaker 1: rubb it nothing, just bring it all right, all right?
- 25:28Speaker 1: Yeah we look to night. They're getting in. They're still
- 25:33Speaker 1: there right now, but they'll be in the night. Oh
- 25:36Speaker 1: that's right. Yeah, they're still on the plane paths. I
- 25:40Speaker 1: just want to know what to do with the money
- 25:42Speaker 1: when they arrived. They not on the plane right now.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Some on the bus. Yeah they main't play people, Um okay, yeah,
- 25:54Speaker 1: why would they be on the bus and they didn't
- 25:55Speaker 1: made something well water the girls uber from Chicago. I
- 26:01Speaker 1: go really faster. You can't kill that cast theirport either.
- 26:17Speaker 1: All right, Path had such a good time he cut
- 26:21Speaker 1: his app off a free ride. All right. As you know,
- 26:30Speaker 1: it's February and Pastor, we are in the middle of
- 26:33Speaker 1: Black History and I the program is coming up. Listen,
- 26:36Speaker 1: You're gonna have to talk to brother Jermaine King and
- 26:39Speaker 1: tell him just because his last name is King doesn't
- 26:42Speaker 1: mean he will be giving the Doctor King's speech during
- 26:45Speaker 1: the Black History program. He has six felony convictions and
- 26:49Speaker 1: just got out of Bell for robbing and I don't
- 26:52Speaker 1: Bell for robbing a liquor stoke on't m Okay Boulevard.
- 26:55Speaker 1: You're gonna have to talk him. He's not gonna be
- 26:58Speaker 1: in the program this year. Program is the entire moth
- 27:03Speaker 1: and we are not out of black people yet. So
- 27:10Speaker 1: unless we run out of black people, your main key
- 27:14Speaker 1: will not be participated in any capacity at Black History more.
- 27:20Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you very much. A part of Black history. More.
- 27:25Speaker 1: He ought to be able, he ought to be in
- 27:26Speaker 1: Black history. Committed the most crimes without getting news as shot. Yes, yes, indeed,
- 27:34Speaker 1: all right, now this is something new. I don't think
- 27:36Speaker 1: you knew this was gonna be happening. Past that I
- 27:38Speaker 1: first quire robot member. Sister I tell Sparks will start
- 27:45Speaker 1: her first day this coming Sunday in the quiet. The
- 27:48Speaker 1: problem is someone has programmed Cardi b hit some money
- 27:52Speaker 1: instead of Kirk Franklin stop. So you need to be
- 27:54Speaker 1: ready for what this girl might say. I have told
- 28:00Speaker 1: Joe then we don't do robots in all heavily and
- 28:05Speaker 1: jelly quiet. Sister I tell it, very good looking thought,
- 28:13Speaker 1: but she hard though, come on, we can't ever replaced
- 28:28Speaker 1: flick Mann suck. They ain't nothing like it. I don't
- 28:37Speaker 1: care how much of it you got. There's nothing life flesh.
- 28:42Speaker 1: He went there past it. She hard. I'm still in here, Okay,
- 28:54Speaker 1: pass it. Here's another situation we have. I need you
- 28:57Speaker 1: to speak with Sister Desiree Flowers. She is running out
- 29:01Speaker 1: the members and knocking them out. He is getting ready
- 29:03Speaker 1: for her first mm A fight. He has already knocked
- 29:07Speaker 1: out Sister darths Fay and Deacon Covery Base. Brother Curry
- 29:11Speaker 1: says he he tried to tap out, but she wouldn't
- 29:14Speaker 1: let him. Well, then I have an ideal, all right,
- 29:20Speaker 1: to raise money for the church. Building for Black History. More.
- 29:27Speaker 1: We're gonna have our first female male about at the
- 29:32Speaker 1: church and we're gonna have sister Desireate Flower who Jermaine
- 29:36Speaker 1: keen a about that? All right, We're having meat, thank
- 29:45Speaker 1: you coming up? Coming up, just powdered Jermaine keen right,
- 29:52Speaker 1: and a David News and an update on National News
- 29:56Speaker 1: with miss Anne Trip. You're listening, Steve all right? Jesse
- 30:05Speaker 1: smallertt Jesse small Att returned to the stage Saturday night
- 30:09Speaker 1: at the Troubadour in Los Angeles. Now, this was his
- 30:12Speaker 1: first performance since his brutal racist and homophomic attack a
- 30:16Speaker 1: homophobic attack last week in Chicago. Jesse told the audience,
- 30:20Speaker 1: I had to be here tonight. I couldn't let them win.
- 30:24Speaker 1: After the show, Jesse cleared up some details about the attack.
- 30:27Speaker 1: He said he suffered, he suffered bruised, not broken ribs,
- 30:32Speaker 1: and that he wasn't hospitalized. He was not hospitalized, okay.
- 30:36Speaker 1: He added, above all, he fought them back. He said,
- 30:41Speaker 1: I'm the gay tupac. There you go, and okay, yeah, yeah,
- 30:48Speaker 1: he fought him back. And he said, look in other words, yeah,
- 30:52Speaker 1: I mean I believe he fought back. You know, you know,
- 30:55Speaker 1: I don't know why people would think, you know, one
- 30:59Speaker 1: thing has with another. You you you you you know,
- 31:02Speaker 1: you jump on a man, You're gonna gonna you're gonna
- 31:05Speaker 1: get yourself, you know, touched up now? Okay? Yeah, And
- 31:08Speaker 1: it's an ongoing investigation to buy Chicago police. Also in Atlanta,
- 31:14Speaker 1: bow Wow was arrested for alleged domestic violence. Bawoa I
- 31:18Speaker 1: was accused of assaulting his on again, off again girlfriend
- 31:22Speaker 1: h Kyomi Leslie Uh. Their mug shots have been plastered
- 31:26Speaker 1: all over social media. If you've been on the Graham
- 31:28Speaker 1: and stuff, you've seen the pictures. She says he assaulted her,
- 31:32Speaker 1: while he says it was actually the opposite. In his
- 31:35Speaker 1: mug shot, he has a few long scratches on his
- 31:37Speaker 1: forehead hun under his right eye. You see that she
- 31:42Speaker 1: didn't have any visible marks on her face at all
- 31:45Speaker 1: on her mugshot picture. Bawow wound up being booked for
- 31:48Speaker 1: battery with substantial physical harm and was released on eight
- 31:52Speaker 1: thousand dollars bail on Saturday. Later that night, Bawoah was
- 31:57Speaker 1: spotted leaving Magic City in Atlanta. What better way to
- 32:01Speaker 1: cure yourself? Are you to go? To? You? Yeah? I
- 32:12Speaker 1: just I just saw the mug shot of I'm I'm
- 32:15Speaker 1: hoping he walked away. I mean, he looks like he
- 32:17Speaker 1: got the worst of it. Yeah, I'm hoping this because
- 32:20Speaker 1: he just he didn't do anything. Yeah, I would, I
- 32:24Speaker 1: would never see that from bau. Wow. So it does
- 32:28Speaker 1: look like, you know, he got he having pretty good,
- 32:33Speaker 1: you know, I mean, you know, hopefully he did the
- 32:35Speaker 1: right thing. I mean not domestic violence folks can go
- 32:38Speaker 1: both ways, definitely, you know, you know it, it can
- 32:42Speaker 1: go both ways. Absolutely, And men have been in physically
- 32:46Speaker 1: abusive relationships from women. Yeah, I mean not nearly as much,
- 32:50Speaker 1: but you're absolutely right, Steve. And you know, we've said
- 32:53Speaker 1: often on this show to teach our daughters not to
- 32:56Speaker 1: hit men, you know, just don't don't don't do that.
- 32:59Speaker 1: We we always teach men not to hit women. But
- 33:02Speaker 1: and I'm and I'm really hoping that Biwa didn't didn't
- 33:05Speaker 1: hit this woman. Well she didn't have any physical scars
- 33:08Speaker 1: on her face like he had. Well hopefully that's the case. Yeah, absolutely, Yeah,
- 33:15Speaker 1: that was crazy. Huh really yeah, I don't. But he
- 33:21Speaker 1: went to Magic City. Yeah, better going back to Magic
- 33:26Speaker 1: City though, I'm going forever go back. You're talking to
- 33:29Speaker 1: your nephew, Steve, what do you think you're talking to?
- 33:31Speaker 1: You who ain't gonna for ever go back. That's where
- 33:34Speaker 1: the magic is done. That's where the magic happens. The
- 33:37Speaker 1: greatest magic show I ever say. It makes your money disappear.
- 33:42Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's the best. They're magicians, all right, Steve.
- 33:46Speaker 1: Let's shut this down to week. Lady Orgitimate, Miss Ann Tripp,
- 33:52Speaker 1: thanks everybody. Good morning everybody out there. This is and
- 33:54Speaker 1: trip with the news for this new week. The pressure
- 33:57Speaker 1: continues to mount on Virginia Governor Ralph Northam as members
- 34:00Speaker 1: of his own party call for his resignation over the
- 34:02Speaker 1: picture he placed on his nineteen eighty four medical school yearbook.
- 34:06Speaker 1: It's a snapshot of two men, one in black face
- 34:08Speaker 1: and a black wig, the other in a white pointed
- 34:10Speaker 1: clan hat and robe. He's apologized to not change the
- 34:14Speaker 1: decisions I made, nor can I undo the harm my
- 34:17Speaker 1: behavior calls then and today. But I accept responsibility for
- 34:22Speaker 1: my past actions, and I am ready to do the
- 34:25Speaker 1: hard work of regaining your trust. The focus also trained
- 34:28Speaker 1: on Northam's alma Mata, Eastern Virginia Medical School, specifically whide
- 34:32Speaker 1: off officials there let a yearbook picture like that goodbye
- 34:36Speaker 1: or be printed in the first place. So now the
- 34:37Speaker 1: schools issued a statement saying they're going to conduct an
- 34:40Speaker 1: investigation to the pictures put in all past yearbooks. Florida's
- 34:43Speaker 1: brand new Secretary of State mean while already out of
- 34:45Speaker 1: a job. Michael Ortel, a Republican, resigned after photos of
- 34:49Speaker 1: him surfaced wearing black face and making fun of black
- 34:52Speaker 1: Katrina victims. The photos showing Hotel at a Halloween party
- 34:55Speaker 1: in two thousand and five, face blackened, piece of material
- 34:58Speaker 1: wrapped around his head, red lip stick, a T shirt,
- 35:00Speaker 1: stuff to look like breasts, and the words Katrine a
- 35:03Speaker 1: victim scrawled across it. At the time. Or Tell was
- 35:05Speaker 1: Seminole County's election supervisor and now Ohio Senator Shirard Brown
- 35:10Speaker 1: tells NBC's Meet the presid this nation has a bias problem,
- 35:14Speaker 1: and he says it goes all the way to the top.
- 35:16Speaker 1: We have a president who's a racist. He built his
- 35:18Speaker 1: political career knowing what he was doing on questioning the
- 35:23Speaker 1: legitimacy and the birthplace of the President of the United States.
- 35:27Speaker 1: There've been all kinds of news reports about what he
- 35:29Speaker 1: did early in his career on housing Charlottesville was only
- 35:33Speaker 1: a symptom and a more public viewing and outing, if
- 35:37Speaker 1: you will, or the president's views about race. I mean,
- 35:39Speaker 1: there's just no question about that. The Ohio Democrat reportedly
- 35:42Speaker 1: thinking about running for president twenty twenty. Last week, Jersey
- 35:45Speaker 1: Senator Corey A. Booker through his hat into the ring.
- 35:48Speaker 1: By the way, Republicans also criticizing Virginia's Democratic governor for
- 35:52Speaker 1: his picture. Senate leader Mitch McConnell calls No Northern's conduct unforgivable.
- 35:57Speaker 1: But get this pitches of surface of McConnell posing in
- 36:00Speaker 1: front of a big old Confederate flag. And while Northern's
- 36:03Speaker 1: picture was taken in the eighties, mcconnells was from the nineties.
- 36:08Speaker 1: The first documented black a pro football player has finally
- 36:10Speaker 1: been honored. The state of Ohio approved a tribute for
- 36:13Speaker 1: Charles Fowlers, who was called the Black Side Clowne Falls
- 36:15Speaker 1: was signed by the Shelby Blues of the American Professional
- 36:18Speaker 1: Football Association in nineteen oh four. He was born February third,
- 36:22Speaker 1: eighteen seventy nine. Grew up in Woosterra, Ohio at tops
- 36:25Speaker 1: to the box office for the weekend. Third Weekend d
- 36:27Speaker 1: A Roll was a superhero thriller glass. Yesterday's Super Bowl,
- 36:31Speaker 1: the New England throughout New England Patriots rather trounced the
- 36:34Speaker 1: La Rams thirteen to three. Was like the lowest scoring
- 36:37Speaker 1: in game in the history of the game. Both Cardi
- 36:40Speaker 1: b Rihanna you know, turned down offers to perform at
- 36:42Speaker 1: the halftime in order to show their respect for Colin Kaepernick.
- 36:45Speaker 1: Gladys Knight sang the national anthem. A lot of her
- 36:48Speaker 1: fans gave her no credit for that, but her actual
- 36:50Speaker 1: performance everybody loved. Now back to the Steve Harvey Morning Show.
- 37:00Speaker 1: You're listening to the Steve Harvey Morning Show. All right,
- 37:03Speaker 1: ladies and gentlemen. As miss Anne mentioned earlier, Virginia Governor
- 37:07Speaker 1: Ralph Northram is refusing to resign after increased pressure to
- 37:11Speaker 1: do so over the weekend. Steve, you know, he was
- 37:15Speaker 1: asked to resign after a racist yearbook picture surfaced of him.
- 37:20Speaker 1: The picture was taken when he was in medical school
- 37:23Speaker 1: and it shows two people, one in blackface and the
- 37:26Speaker 1: other wearing a ku Klux Klan robe and hood. And
- 37:30Speaker 1: Governor Northam's initial statement, he said, I apologize for the
- 37:34Speaker 1: decision I made to appear as I did in this photo,
- 37:38Speaker 1: but then on Saturday he claimed he wasn't sure he
- 37:41Speaker 1: was in the picture. At the same press conference on Saturday,
- 37:45Speaker 1: he admitted that in the past he put some shoe
- 37:47Speaker 1: polish on his face as part of a Michael Jackson
- 37:49Speaker 1: costume for the nineteen eighty four dance competition. What do
- 37:54Speaker 1: you think I mean? I heard his original apology and
- 38:00Speaker 1: I went, Okay, wow, damn. But they everybody was calling
- 38:04Speaker 1: for his resignation. He's a Democrat. Republicans and Democrats were
- 38:08Speaker 1: calling him. So that night he went home and he
- 38:11Speaker 1: talked to his wife and came back and said, I've
- 38:14Speaker 1: looked at the photo really good, and it's not me.
- 38:18Speaker 1: It's not me in the photo, but it's on his
- 38:20Speaker 1: yearbook page. But then he said he never bought the
- 38:22Speaker 1: yearbook and so he never knew it was there until
- 38:26Speaker 1: it was bought to his attention yesterday, you know, the
- 38:31Speaker 1: day before. So I was trying to watch the dude
- 38:35Speaker 1: because this is something that happened when he was twenty five,
- 38:39Speaker 1: and it was thirty five years ago. But now I
- 38:43Speaker 1: looked at the three pictures in the yearbook that was
- 38:47Speaker 1: not supposed that what was the pictures of him real
- 38:51Speaker 1: self that were him, and then weren't him. Okay, no,
- 38:55Speaker 1: I'm looking. They had a picture of his foot up
- 38:57Speaker 1: on a pickup truck, him sitting in front of a corvette,
- 39:00Speaker 1: and his stock you know, high school, I mean medical photo.
- 39:05Speaker 1: To me, all those pictures look like a wider, broader
- 39:11Speaker 1: guy than the dude in the black face. Okay. To me,
- 39:18Speaker 1: I was trying to work with to do right, give
- 39:21Speaker 1: him the benefit of the job. But then when he
- 39:23Speaker 1: turned around and he made two mistakes. To me, he said,
- 39:26Speaker 1: I did put some black shoe polosh on my face
- 39:29Speaker 1: to be Michael Jackson, and I only put it under
- 39:31Speaker 1: my eyes because we all know how hard it is
- 39:35Speaker 1: to get black shoe polish off your face. Okay, that
- 39:38Speaker 1: makes sense, And I went, not, don't all know how
- 39:43Speaker 1: hard it is to get it. I can tell you
- 39:45Speaker 1: how hard it is get this black off your skin, Okay,
- 39:49Speaker 1: but I can't tell you how hard it is to
- 39:51Speaker 1: get this black shoeboller show all right, coming up at
- 39:54Speaker 1: thirty four after the hour, we'll tell you who might
- 39:56Speaker 1: be the next owner of an NFL team, and it's
- 39:59Speaker 1: a black man. Imagine that. Right after this, you're listening
- 40:02Speaker 1: to show. All right, guys, it looks like Diddy might
- 40:07Speaker 1: be the next businessman to enter the NFL owner's fraternity.
- 40:11Speaker 1: TMZ caught up with New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft
- 40:14Speaker 1: over the weekend, and Kraft said he really likes Diddy
- 40:18Speaker 1: and he's very serious about Diddy owning an NFL team.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Kraft was a big supporter of Diddy when he made
- 40:24Speaker 1: a push to buy the Carolina Panthers. This was back
- 40:27Speaker 1: in twenty seventeen, but the Panthers team is if you recall,
- 40:31Speaker 1: was sold to hedge fund manager David Tepper instead. TMZ
- 40:36Speaker 1: then caught up with Diddy. Guess where guys at Magic
- 40:41Speaker 1: City in Atlanta. That's yeah, he ups go down. TMZ
- 40:52Speaker 1: got up with Diddy at a Magic City later that
- 40:54Speaker 1: evening and asked him about the ownership situation and did
- 40:57Speaker 1: He simply responded, quote, it's time I love that you know.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Did He had talked previously about the importance of having
- 41:05Speaker 1: a black owner in the NFL, and with reports that
- 41:08Speaker 1: several NFL teams could be in the market for a
- 41:10Speaker 1: new owner this year, Craft supportive. Did he could play
- 41:14Speaker 1: a very very big role. Yeah, you want to go
- 41:19Speaker 1: to night though, it's a black man's golf court. Baby,
- 41:23Speaker 1: you want to go to night. It's what a black
- 41:27Speaker 1: man's golf court? You want to go to night? Let's go.
- 41:29Speaker 1: It's so quiet. I got you on everything. Barbershop, it
- 41:35Speaker 1: ain't no damn strip club. But he rings that up,
- 41:41Speaker 1: didn't he? It is a barbershop. Yeah, Bobershop is our
- 41:45Speaker 1: country club. You're nothing to put that on. Well, somebody
- 41:49Speaker 1: on this show got to have some damn since him
- 41:52Speaker 1: in that stupid ass Jay. But but but Steve, he
- 41:56Speaker 1: did say something you like. He did say wings on me.
- 42:00Speaker 1: Just say that I heard. And you love wings? You
- 42:04Speaker 1: know you don't get the wings. The breast of his
- 42:06Speaker 1: eyes are unbelievable. You do enjoy a pepper wings, Steve,
- 42:19Speaker 1: you know it is time. But it's a club. Now,
- 42:26Speaker 1: it's a club they're in and it's hard to get
- 42:30Speaker 1: into membership. You know, it's an exclusive club, and you
- 42:38Speaker 1: know it's it's gonna take some more barriers to knock
- 42:41Speaker 1: that wall down because it's such a money game to
- 42:44Speaker 1: them and such a this is what we say amongst
- 42:48Speaker 1: ourselves type group. It's like Nascar. It's like Nascar. Man,
- 42:56Speaker 1: it's very tough for black drivers to get in that
- 43:00Speaker 1: to own race cars. It's it's it's been done by
- 43:03Speaker 1: Wendell Scotten, you know others. And there's some cats out
- 43:06Speaker 1: there right now that's making headway. But it's a dog fight.
- 43:10Speaker 1: It's a real dog fight. And to be oh, the
- 43:13Speaker 1: brother that got in there, that was in last year
- 43:17Speaker 1: that all participated, I forgot his name in a NASCAR
- 43:20Speaker 1: race that was huge. So you know, it is time, man,
- 43:27Speaker 1: it is very much time. But that Robert kraft Man
- 43:31Speaker 1: does he just looked like money just sitting down there
- 43:33Speaker 1: looking at hist it. I can't imagine city too. Tell
- 43:40Speaker 1: me said, that's where the deals go down. Spinky fingers
- 43:49Speaker 1: out for posting up to find everybody that wanted to.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I had a famous dude asked me, Steve, we're going
- 43:59Speaker 1: down to Magic City, Man, can you anywhere you could
- 44:01Speaker 1: pull through? I said, dog, ain't no way in hell
- 44:04Speaker 1: I could pull through. Don't you talking about anyway I
- 44:07Speaker 1: could pull through? Now? I ain't no way in hell? Dog.
- 44:12Speaker 1: Do you know how hard I work to get him
- 44:16Speaker 1: my brand? Don't say Magic City? So I can't. But
- 44:21Speaker 1: to be honest with you, I'm not strip club dude, man.
- 44:25Speaker 1: I just have never been. I just ain't that dude. Man,
- 44:31Speaker 1: You just gotta go right. Oh, no, I've been. Oh,
- 44:36Speaker 1: Joe Torre took me the Magic City. Oh, probably when
- 44:39Speaker 1: I was about thirty thirty fold maybe I don't know what.
- 44:45Speaker 1: All right, we gotta go, guys, Time to switch up.
- 44:48Speaker 1: The nephew Tommy is here with the praying phone call
- 44:51Speaker 1: that's coming up right after this. You're listening, all right,
- 44:56Speaker 1: coming up at the top of the hour, well about
- 44:58Speaker 1: four minutes after the hour or anyway, my strawberry letter
- 45:02Speaker 1: for it today the subject should I do it for
- 45:05Speaker 1: the culture m But right now the nephew is in
- 45:09Speaker 1: the building with the prank phone call for today. What
- 45:11Speaker 1: you got, nesir? I got to drop that Acqua book.
- 45:14Speaker 1: Get Karen right, that Aqua book, favorite Aqua Boogee, Karen,
- 45:20Speaker 1: let's run that, y'all. Here it is Hello. Hello, I'm
- 45:24Speaker 1: trying to reach Marvin Police. Yes, speaking Marvin High. I'm
- 45:29Speaker 1: calling you from doctor's office. I'm actually the lab technician.
- 45:32Speaker 1: UM and you you came in and I got it
- 45:35Speaker 1: physical I guess about a couple of weeks ago. Yeah, okay,
- 45:37Speaker 1: and my understanding this is for your for your occupation, correct, Yeah, Okay,
- 45:42Speaker 1: you're what do you do for a living when you're
- 45:44Speaker 1: A Oh yeah, okay. Now I was giving you a
- 45:48Speaker 1: call about I'm here looking at your records and all
- 45:50Speaker 1: the testings that you actually went through. Um wow, let's
- 45:55Speaker 1: see have you had any Have you had any activity
- 45:57Speaker 1: or any problems around your naval area? Nah, it's fine, okay.
- 46:03Speaker 1: It was saying, all right, yeah, everything's fine, But I
- 46:06Speaker 1: mean if you haven't had any any type of nothing,
- 46:10Speaker 1: no breakout or anything around your navel or whatsoever. Nah
- 46:15Speaker 1: about my navel? Now everything's going straight, man, Okay, to
- 46:19Speaker 1: see what's going on? Man, what's happening? Okay, Actually, you've
- 46:22Speaker 1: been diagnosed with um oak triositis and oristriositis is actually
- 46:28Speaker 1: a fungus that comes out of South America. And you
- 46:32Speaker 1: have no activity whatsoever around your NAVELA it's otriositis, sir.
- 46:40Speaker 1: And what what that is is actually you're you're if
- 46:44Speaker 1: you haven't had it yet, you say you haven't had
- 46:45Speaker 1: any activity. There's gonna be like a small little tree
- 46:49Speaker 1: that's gonna be growing from your navel, and it gets
- 46:52Speaker 1: about six inches long and it probably bears about probably
- 46:55Speaker 1: about twenty five to thirty leaves on it, but it's
- 46:57Speaker 1: very small. You see a tree gonna be growing out
- 47:01Speaker 1: my neighbor. It's gonna be a small tree. And what's
- 47:05Speaker 1: gonna happen is I'm gonna have to get you to
- 47:07Speaker 1: come back in, probably in the next month. We're gonna
- 47:09Speaker 1: need you to come in so we can check it out.
- 47:10Speaker 1: But it's got to grow its fullest potential before we
- 47:13Speaker 1: can actually do anything to it. Nah, I can't come
- 47:16Speaker 1: in and on money. I got to come in today, man,
- 47:18Speaker 1: somebody got to so we we get just trying to resolve. Man,
- 47:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna get married. Man, Well, we can't. It has
- 47:25Speaker 1: to grow its fullest potential, sir. And the full term
- 47:28Speaker 1: is actually like about four weeks before we can act. Man.
- 47:31Speaker 1: I'm not waiting for those four weeks. Man. Somebody got
- 47:33Speaker 1: to come till me something right. Nah, Man, I ain't
- 47:36Speaker 1: gonna go married. Man. Have to fly to time, man
- 47:38Speaker 1: and have something growing out of my neighbor. Man, y'all
- 47:40Speaker 1: going crazy, man, Sir o Triosa, this is something that's
- 47:43Speaker 1: very rare. We're actually getting this assignment from overseas in
- 47:47Speaker 1: South America on how to treat this. Man. I don't
- 47:49Speaker 1: give it down where is it? Man, somebody's gonna have
- 47:51Speaker 1: to come give me some help, right nah, Man, I'm
- 47:54Speaker 1: gonna get ready to get married. Man, I'm not gonna
- 47:56Speaker 1: be putting up with it. Man, Somebody in this office
- 47:58Speaker 1: main't got to come now and do something for me. Man,
- 48:01Speaker 1: And what you say telling you said, I could cut
- 48:03Speaker 1: it out myself. So the best I can do is
- 48:05Speaker 1: probably trim it a bit, you know, and maybe knock
- 48:07Speaker 1: a few leaves off. But I cannot touch the full
- 48:10Speaker 1: stock at all. Man. You can cut this day, do something, sir?
- 48:14Speaker 1: If you cut it right now? You cannot, sir. If
- 48:18Speaker 1: you cut it, there's a possibility of hemorrhaging, and you're
- 48:20Speaker 1: gonna really create a bigger problem than what you have already. Man,
- 48:24Speaker 1: I'm trying to get this a dot. Man. You didn't
- 48:27Speaker 1: tell me. Ain't nobody that I've dried on there and
- 48:30Speaker 1: get this put man, I'm gonna get married in two weeks. Man,
- 48:34Speaker 1: we're gonna fly to Jamaican. It can't now. Somebody can
- 48:37Speaker 1: do this for me. I p So you cannot pull
- 48:42Speaker 1: it out. You're gonna create, good Man, You're gonna create
- 48:45Speaker 1: a bigger problem if you try to pull it out. Sorry,
- 48:48Speaker 1: problems already out. I'm trying to get this problem. Man.
- 48:51Speaker 1: You mean tell me a big hospital. Ain't nowt hit
- 48:55Speaker 1: me you want me to do that. It's not something
- 48:58Speaker 1: I to my you can do, man, sir, Oak triositis
- 49:04Speaker 1: is not something that we treat all the time. Like
- 49:06Speaker 1: I said, it hails from South America, so we got
- 49:08Speaker 1: I don't give a from Great Britain somebody for me
- 49:13Speaker 1: to come down and help me, poor man, Sir. I
- 49:16Speaker 1: understand what you're going through, but we have to let
- 49:19Speaker 1: it grow. It's full term, which is four weeks, sir,
- 49:22Speaker 1: the full root of it having to grow. Man. I
- 49:24Speaker 1: ain't ro man, I'm going to go on right, nah Man,
- 49:28Speaker 1: y'all want to do something, Man, sir, there's nothing we
- 49:31Speaker 1: can do. We can probably trim it a little bit.
- 49:33Speaker 1: The trim get some training so this man do something. Sir.
- 49:38Speaker 1: There's nothing we can do at this point but sit
- 49:40Speaker 1: back and wait and let it grow. It's full term. Okay.
- 49:42Speaker 1: Can we get you doing the waiting? Man? Somebody helped me, right,
- 49:46Speaker 1: nah man, sir. Can we get an appointment for you
- 49:48Speaker 1: in the next four to five weeks and we do that. Now,
- 49:51Speaker 1: you got to get appointment for me to day. I'm
- 49:53Speaker 1: going to give manner. Man, I'm gonna fly to Jamaica. Man,
- 49:56Speaker 1: I can't have them sticking out of me. I can't
- 49:58Speaker 1: see it the aport. Man, you're gonna embarrassing me like that. Man.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I took it out my neighbor. Sir, I understand it.
- 50:06Speaker 1: And like I said, oatriositis is very rare, and it's
- 50:09Speaker 1: it's something that we haven't treated that many times here
- 50:11Speaker 1: in the States, but overseas or the message that we're
- 50:13Speaker 1: getting is that we need to let it grow. It's
- 50:15Speaker 1: full term. Man, tell me, ain't nobody in the Miericans
- 50:18Speaker 1: got what man, it's oatriositis, sir, So I get it.
- 50:25Speaker 1: If nobody else got it, Sir, I could not believe
- 50:29Speaker 1: that you were coming up with oatriositis here in the States.
- 50:32Speaker 1: It's it's something very rarely seen here. There's been two
- 50:35Speaker 1: people in the past has been diagnosed with this and
- 50:37Speaker 1: they actually passed away. So now you tell them dive
- 50:41Speaker 1: and you're gonna till me three weeks. Man, I'm coming
- 50:44Speaker 1: down that a day. Man, somebody could do something for me, Sir.
- 50:47Speaker 1: There's nothing that we can do today until four to
- 50:50Speaker 1: five weeks or I gotta go get married. I'm fine
- 50:54Speaker 1: to Jamaica. Man. I just said, Man, I'm hearing what
- 50:58Speaker 1: you're saying, but I can't do anything if you don't
- 51:01Speaker 1: see the tree already coming out of the navel. Yeah,
- 51:05Speaker 1: somebody got to do something. Mind. Now, I'm saying what
- 51:07Speaker 1: you want me to do. Man, I don't know what
- 51:09Speaker 1: I want you to do, sir, but I have one
- 51:11Speaker 1: more thing I can tell you what you got to say. Man, Oh,
- 51:15Speaker 1: you're listening. I'm listening to you. Man, this is nephew
- 51:18Speaker 1: Timmy from the Steve Hoppin Morning Show. You just got

- 51:47Speaker 1: right now. Man, I'm already never gonna get married in
- 51:51Speaker 1: two weeks. Man. Hey, man, I got one more thing

- 53:47Speaker 1: and more, please submit your Strawberry letter to Steve Harvey
- 53:51Speaker 1: FM dot com and click submit Strawberry Letter. We could
- 53:55Speaker 1: be reading your letter live on the air, just like
- 53:57Speaker 1: we're gonna read this one right now. Right buckle up,
- 54:01Speaker 1: hold on tight. We got it for you here. It
- 54:02Speaker 1: is a strawberry subject. Should I do it for the
- 54:08Speaker 1: culture here? Stephen Shirley. Yeah, I'm a thirty two year
- 54:12Speaker 1: old single female and my family moved to the States
- 54:15Speaker 1: when I was fifteen so we could have a better
- 54:18Speaker 1: life and my culture. I grew up with a huge
- 54:21Speaker 1: extended family and we stick close together. But now I
- 54:25Speaker 1: have my own apartment and I love having my freedom.
- 54:28Speaker 1: My mother often tells me that I should should have
- 54:31Speaker 1: been married years ago so she can have grand babies,
- 54:34Speaker 1: but I'm not ready for that. My parents both have
- 54:37Speaker 1: good jobs and finally got the big house they were
- 54:40Speaker 1: dreaming of, and they have moved more family members to
- 54:43Speaker 1: the US to live with them. Now. My mother wants
- 54:46Speaker 1: her brother, my uncle to come live with them, but
- 54:49Speaker 1: he can't seem to get his visa approved. So here's
- 54:52Speaker 1: when the problem started. Three months ago, I had dinner
- 54:55Speaker 1: with my family and my mom asked me to do
- 54:58Speaker 1: her a favor since I was still single and had
- 55:02Speaker 1: my own place. Stephen Shirley, can you believe that my
- 55:06Speaker 1: mother asked me to marry her brother, my uncle, so
- 55:11Speaker 1: he could get citizenship. My grandmother and father were in
- 55:15Speaker 1: on it and said, you know that they had been
- 55:20Speaker 1: discussing this for a while. I was so confused. First
- 55:24Speaker 1: of all, I do believe that it's illegal to marry
- 55:26Speaker 1: your relatives in this country. My parents and grandmother said
- 55:29Speaker 1: it was no big deal and that families do it
- 55:32Speaker 1: all the time. I got sick to my stomach and
- 55:35Speaker 1: still can't believe they asked me to do that. It's
- 55:38Speaker 1: hard for me to talk to them now without the
- 55:40Speaker 1: constant pressure to do my part for the family bond.
- 55:43Speaker 1: I know what you're going to say, But how do
- 55:45Speaker 1: you tell my family that they're all crazy and this
- 55:48Speaker 1: is so wrong. I'm afraid our bond will be broken forever.
- 55:52Speaker 1: It's a cultural thing. Please help. Okay, what you didn't
- 55:58Speaker 1: mention it? So I have to ask you what culture
- 56:00Speaker 1: is this where you can marry your own uncle where?
- 56:04Speaker 1: And no disrespect of course to your culture. Um, but
- 56:09Speaker 1: I personally haven't heard of such a thing. I mean
- 56:11Speaker 1: I have heard of people, you know, dating and possibly
- 56:15Speaker 1: marrying their cousins down down down the line, cousins, but
- 56:18Speaker 1: not their uncles. I mean, not in the US, because
- 56:22Speaker 1: that is not our culture. And thank you for pointing
- 56:29Speaker 1: that out, nephew, I mean you stupid? Is that about you? Guys?
- 56:43Speaker 1: I loved you, know in the letter where you said
- 56:46Speaker 1: you have your your thirty two year old single female,
- 56:48Speaker 1: you have your own apartment, and you love having your freedom. Yes,
- 56:52Speaker 1: that's you know what living in the US is all about.
- 56:55Speaker 1: You can You're free to do what you want to
- 56:58Speaker 1: do with your life. Uh, control your own destiny. I
- 57:01Speaker 1: think your family is pressuring you to do something against
- 57:03Speaker 1: your will, something you're very uncomfortable with. I mean, I
- 57:07Speaker 1: know if you were to be able to marry him,
- 57:10Speaker 1: it wouldn't be a traditional marriage. I get that, but
- 57:13Speaker 1: but who would marry their uncle anyway? But you know
- 57:18Speaker 1: you're you're up against your whole family here, and that's
- 57:22Speaker 1: not easy because it's only you by yourself. So I
- 57:25Speaker 1: have to tell you you cannot cave into this request.
- 57:28Speaker 1: You cannot. You gotta Now. I know you said you
- 57:31Speaker 1: don't want to talk to them, but you have to
- 57:33Speaker 1: speak up for them and say no, I'm not doing this.
- 57:36Speaker 1: Your family is just going to have to find another
- 57:39Speaker 1: way to get Uncle whoever in the country. He's having
- 57:44Speaker 1: a problem with this visa. Maybe that's telling you something
- 57:47Speaker 1: right there, Maybe he doesn't need to be here. Steve, Well, well, well,
- 57:54Speaker 1: these are letters that I happen to specialize. Yet, you know,
- 57:58Speaker 1: Stephen Sherley just the two year old single woman and
- 58:01Speaker 1: riding or rode in and said that her family moved
- 58:05Speaker 1: her to the States where she was fifteen or better
- 58:07Speaker 1: life and all that, now, in my culture is the
- 58:10Speaker 1: key to this whole letter. In my culture, grew up
- 58:15Speaker 1: with a huge extended family, were close together. You got
- 58:20Speaker 1: your own apartment, You love your freedom. Now, my mother
- 58:24Speaker 1: tells me that you tells her that you should have
- 58:27Speaker 1: been married by now so she could have some grandkids.
- 58:30Speaker 1: But you ain't ready for that. Your parents got good job,
- 58:34Speaker 1: finally got that big house they was dreaming of. That
- 58:36Speaker 1: did they moved that family to the US to live
- 58:39Speaker 1: with them. Now your mama won't her brother who is
- 58:45Speaker 1: your uncle, to come live with them, but he can't
- 58:49Speaker 1: get a visa approved. Now listen to me. First of all,
- 58:54Speaker 1: you shouldn't have rode in because you know that we
- 58:57Speaker 1: got in charge of the office. Now you know our
- 59:00Speaker 1: president is stopped talking about your family trying to come him.
- 59:05Speaker 1: It ain't got no toam visa. This is not the
- 59:10Speaker 1: time we got. We got Instagram people doing podcasts. Is
- 59:16Speaker 1: people can pull the except from this show. They're gonna
- 59:20Speaker 1: find out where you wrote this letter farm and you
- 59:22Speaker 1: and your whole damn family gonna get sent back. So
- 59:27Speaker 1: I just wanted to throw that warning out for our
- 59:29Speaker 1: share this with you. Now. Your mama's brother can't get
- 59:33Speaker 1: his visa. See, they're gonna use that against him, so
- 59:39Speaker 1: his When the problem started three months ago, U was
- 59:42Speaker 1: having dinner with your family. Your mama asked you to
- 59:46Speaker 1: do her favors since you was singingly had your own place.
- 59:51Speaker 1: Your mama asked you to marry her brother, who is
- 59:55Speaker 1: your uncle, so he could get citizens. Shill, what what
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: is you talking about? What culture is this? This ain't culture?
- 1:00:09Speaker 1: This call is sess. This ain't culture. Lady. You wrote
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: the letter on. Should I commit incess? It's what the
- 1:00:22Speaker 1: title would be. It's your damn uncle. Marry your uncle
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: ruin your life so his old ass can have a life.
- 1:00:38Speaker 1: Then you got to come over here and get divorced,
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: which probably ain't no problem in your culture. It don't
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: make no sense. First of all, your family is too close,
- 1:00:52Speaker 1: y'all too close, and this gonna make y'all just godly close. Man,
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: don't make no sense right here. Man, I'm so sorry,
- 1:01:05Speaker 1: you know, listen to me. There's got to be a
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: reason why your uncle don't have nobody. It's got to
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: be nobody, won't you not even the panis as sorry
- 1:01:20Speaker 1: phone you hang on, Steve. We're gonna have part two
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: of your Responsibo coming up in twenty three after the hours.
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: Should I do it for the culture? Right after this?
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: You're listening show? All right here we are, Steve. Let's
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: recap today's strawberry letters subject. Should I do it for
- 1:01:39Speaker 1: the culture? Yeah? Oh, this woman who's thirty two in
- 1:01:46Speaker 1: some culture. She won't tell us who it is. We
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: can't guess because we don't want the emails and letters.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Oh they moved to the state. She's fifteen for better life,
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: I grew up with a huge extended family and everything.
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: Blah blah blah. Love. She moved down on her own apartment.
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: She loved having her freedom. You know, she wasn't locked
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: up in the hour. Then. Your mama often tell me
- 1:02:05Speaker 1: how she should have got married because she gonna have
- 1:02:07Speaker 1: grandkids by now. And you know, both her parents got
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: good jobs and they finally got a nice, big house
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: and all this hell, and they want more family members
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: to come to the US to live with them. I
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: warned her on the last break to stop saying this
- 1:02:22Speaker 1: because of the man we have in the White House.
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: He finds out y'all trying to come over hill, and
- 1:02:27Speaker 1: they got the damn Vigas visa. They're gonna do some
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: research all y'all asks gonna be back. So I just
- 1:02:32Speaker 1: wanted her to slow down. Her mother tells wants her brother,
- 1:02:38Speaker 1: who is your uncle, to come live with you with them,
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: but he can't seem to get his visa approved. Now,
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: if this is from one of the seven countries that
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Done Trump has, you know, put on the list, we
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: probably shouldn't even be discussing this. But let's just move
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: one months ago. You haven't dinner with your family your
- 1:03:02Speaker 1: mama asked you to do you a favor since you
- 1:03:05Speaker 1: still single and had your own plates, the lady says,
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: Stephen Shirley. Can you believe that my mama asked me
- 1:03:11Speaker 1: to marry her brother, my uncle so he could get
- 1:03:15Speaker 1: citizens ship to marry her brother. My uncle, and my
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: grandmother and father was in on it too. Say they've
- 1:03:25Speaker 1: been discussing this for a while. Listen to me. This
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: is not call culture. This is called insists. That ain't
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: what we do over here. You can't do that, young lady,
- 1:03:43Speaker 1: and you know it. And I'm glad you saying at
- 1:03:46Speaker 1: the end of the letter. I am sick to my stomach.
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: And your whole damn family ought to be two that
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: crazy ask request, not man, your damn uncle. I wish
- 1:04:00Speaker 1: somebody would have came with me telling about we married
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: your aunt. I seen more, Steve, No, hell no. You
- 1:04:10Speaker 1: know my aunt Agnes, I told her when I was
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: a little boy, if I ever made it, all my
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: jokes was gonna be about hook because she was evil.
- 1:04:19Speaker 1: My aunt Agnes, and I'm telling you right now wouldn't
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: do nothing for me. I couldn't go to the store
- 1:04:25Speaker 1: to earn a nickel like the rest of the kids.
- 1:04:26Speaker 1: She's to sending kids to the store to make a nickel. Right.
- 1:04:29Speaker 1: She wouldn't let me go because I studied, and she
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: don't want to wait all day for her past a
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: cigarette at her. Oh that's the truth. Yeah, So I
- 1:04:40Speaker 1: told her. She told me, you ain't gonna have ever
- 1:04:42Speaker 1: be nothing. I told him when I told her I
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: was gonna be on TV. Anybody got all day and
- 1:04:46Speaker 1: wait on you to say nothing on TV? I said,
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: wide body looking. I couldn't stand my aunt. Man, she
- 1:05:03Speaker 1: get on my nerves. I look like manho old ass.
- 1:05:08Speaker 1: You said, Then, she said, Then you said in the letter,
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: you said, I do believe that it's illegal to marry
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: your relatives in this country. You damn right it is.
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: You damn right it is. My parents and grandmother said
- 1:05:25Speaker 1: it was no big deal and that families do it
- 1:05:28Speaker 1: all the time. Do it well, do it well. I
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: don't know what your coach is. This ain't what we
- 1:05:37Speaker 1: do over here. I got sick to my stomach, and
- 1:05:42Speaker 1: it's hard for me to talk to them now without
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: the constant pressure to do my part for the family bond.
- 1:05:48Speaker 1: I know what you're going to say, but how do
- 1:05:50Speaker 1: I tell my family that they all crazy and this
- 1:05:53Speaker 1: is so wrong. Go tell your family that this is
- 1:05:56Speaker 1: all crazy and this is so wrong, and then walk
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: out and keep your apartment quick moving all the people in.
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: You're gonna end up your apartment gonna look like your
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: mom and daddy house, a bunch of people sitting up
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: in there that ain't got no damn visible. And when
- 1:06:17Speaker 1: Ice find out and everybody, they're coming to your house
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: and everybody going down. I have a culture you in.
- 1:06:25Speaker 1: This is a dangerous letter, young lady. Now, this is
- 1:06:29Speaker 1: what I say to you, from this moment on. Disown
- 1:06:35Speaker 1: your family, quit going over there, quit parking your call
- 1:06:41Speaker 1: over now, matter of fact, move out you I move
- 1:06:45Speaker 1: out this apartment and get another, and don't tell none
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: of them where it is. Marry your uncle that's sitting
- 1:06:56Speaker 1: up in here with his old ass belt. You well
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: see you know the reason, hitty, why he can't find
- 1:07:07Speaker 1: nobody to marry him. You know why I don't Nobody
- 1:07:09Speaker 1: won't him? Oh don't nobody won't him? Now he over here,
- 1:07:15Speaker 1: They don't put him off on you. Everybody in the
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: family knows something wrong with your uncle. That's why he
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: ain't married. Now, sitting over there, got one tooth just
- 1:07:27Speaker 1: sitting up in the middle of sitting over there. Man,
- 1:07:34Speaker 1: it's crazy. Yeah, make no sense. Yeah, she she's got
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: to speak up for herself and tell them she's not
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: with it, just like I'm not with us. I'm not
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: with us at all. Tell your mamma to marry find
- 1:07:50Speaker 1: another way. But she's already married to her dad. Okay,
- 1:07:53Speaker 1: divorce your daddy. As soon as you marry your brother,
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: divorce your brother, remarry your daddy. You know, I just
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: remaking crazy ass. How about that mamma? All right, guys,
- 1:08:11Speaker 1: he married grandmama. Grandmama ain't got no body. Hit us
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: up on Instagram at Steve Harvey FM with your thoughts

- 1:13:50Speaker 1: I just wanted to let you know it. M we've decided,
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: uh that your daughter it's gonna be the starting fool.
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: Back on you all. My daughter ain't went out for
- 1:14:07Speaker 1: no football yet. But I've seen him. You took your
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: boy to the bank, he comes out and goes drive
- 1:14:18Speaker 1: drive Yeah, yeah, Jay Jay, I had that ever man talk.
- 1:14:29Speaker 1: I was twenty years old. I took the dude to
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: the store, man, and I'm sitting in the car. Man
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: he said, hey man, I'm gonna pay for your gas
- 1:14:36Speaker 1: and everything. I say, cool. He come out and jumped
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: in the car. Try ro ro road road. No, no,
- 1:14:43Speaker 1: I'm not partner putting this in park. I'm getting out.
- 1:14:47Speaker 1: Oh I got I got for all of us. Come
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: on here we go? What you mean we was live
- 1:15:08Speaker 1: all of us yet? Okay, you got one time me?
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: Come on here watch this ignorant hurry hey man, brother,
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: excuse me. I was here to part. I got drunk
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: over here last night. Man, what what? What? What? What
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: happen more? We had a wonderful time last night. At
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: the top of the hour, we're gonna talk about Steve
- 1:15:30Speaker 1: Harvey and Monique right here on this show. Right after this,
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: you're listening to Steve Morning Show. All right, So Steve
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: was all over social media. Everybody was talking about it.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: I got several phone calls about it. You interviewed our girl,
- 1:15:47Speaker 1: Monique for an upcoming episode of your TV show. I
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: believe it's gonna air this Wednesday on your talk show,
- 1:15:53Speaker 1: Steve right after the morning. Yeah. So she came on
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: your show. She's got a Las Vegas residency now, so
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: she came on your show to promote her Las Vegas residency.
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: And then you all got into other conversations. So, now
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: what happened with this interview with UM with Monique. I mean,
- 1:16:14Speaker 1: were you guys serious, because you know what was circulating
- 1:16:17Speaker 1: that she said she was going to hit you or
- 1:16:19Speaker 1: slap you, and people were wondering. People were wondering if
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: she was serious. Yeah, yeah, she said it, but but
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: Moe was really just joking, kidding. She said it, and
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: somebody in the audience immediately called the social media blogs
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: and when they almost went to blows and she was
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: gonna slap Steve and and all this, she said it,
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: but she was joking with me, and you know, she said,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: you know, I'm I'm gonna bust you dead in your mouth,
- 1:16:50Speaker 1: I said, And when you do that more, you go
- 1:16:53Speaker 1: right backstage and bring your husband out here, because I'm
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: gonna whoop his age. This was all the fun, right yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: why I was six. I was sick. She was joking.
- 1:17:08Speaker 1: I was sick. What were you guys talking about? What
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: I mean, you know the whole Tyler Perry WHOOPI Goldberg
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: open from Lee Daniels. We we we had a heated exchange.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: But I felt though, after really talking to Monique, that
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: Monique was coming from a place where she had been hurt,
- 1:17:29Speaker 1: and I was coming from a place of having been
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: Monique's big brother figured for a while and we we
- 1:17:38Speaker 1: we were like a brother and a sister having a
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: real discussion about it. She was saying why she felt
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: she was wrong. I was trying to say to more
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: why I thought she could have done things differently. She
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: felt as though I should have come to her aid
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: and set with her. And I admitted to her that,
- 1:18:00Speaker 1: looking back on it, in hindsight, if I could have
- 1:18:04Speaker 1: came to her age sooner, I should have to say, hey,
- 1:18:07Speaker 1: may help MO hold on and it you know, I
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: felt like it was handled the wrong way. We ended
- 1:18:16Speaker 1: up having a fifty eight minute interview. Wow, And we
- 1:18:20Speaker 1: can see part of that interview on your show on Wednesday, right,
- 1:18:24Speaker 1: part of it will be on that Wednesday. Then I'm
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: gonna release it on digital. Okay, the entire interview. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 1:18:32Speaker 1: the entire interview on digital. And it's it's explosive. But
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: it was Mo and I hugged because I hadn't seen Mo.
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: So Mo and I hugged a long time before it started,
- 1:18:46Speaker 1: in a long time afterwards. And more is like my sister. Man,
- 1:18:52Speaker 1: we may be a dysfunctional family, but more like my sister.
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: And after talking to Mole. I had a little bit
- 1:19:00Speaker 1: better understanding of where she was coming from. I hope
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: she had a little bit better understanding because I sided
- 1:19:06Speaker 1: with her where she was right, but I had to
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: also tell her where she was wrong would do And
- 1:19:13Speaker 1: you know, it came down to us exchanging part because
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: she kept saying to me, what did what have I
- 1:19:20Speaker 1: done wrong? And I kept having to point it out.
- 1:19:23Speaker 1: But then I had to understand where she was coming
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: from because she's been hurt and Mole is one of
- 1:19:29Speaker 1: the most talented people I've ever run across. This girl
- 1:19:33Speaker 1: is funny, man, but you watching the movies, the girl
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: can act too. Yeah, And for her not to be
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: in a position to turn that oscar into a financial
- 1:19:44Speaker 1: reward has been tragic. And it's been twofold because she
- 1:19:49Speaker 1: has been black ball from Hollywood initially because she got
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: labeled as difficult to work with. So she did get
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: black ball, and then her reaction to it bought about
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: some other things, and it's just been a snowball for her.
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: And I really want the snowball to end for Monique,
- 1:20:12Speaker 1: because Monique is an incredibly gifted person. But I think
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: we got to get off this treadmill because Oprah did
- 1:20:18Speaker 1: teach me something that I've had to remember is that
- 1:20:22Speaker 1: you can't kill darkness with more darkness. You have to
- 1:20:28Speaker 1: come bring light into the room. And that's what I
- 1:20:31Speaker 1: kept saying to more. And we have to find a
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: way to turn this around for this system with light.
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: And we can't keep exchanging hate for barbs at one
- 1:20:40Speaker 1: another and expect this to turn in to light. And
- 1:20:45Speaker 1: after I sat there with Mole, I don't want to
- 1:20:48Speaker 1: see Moe's career, you know, take a hit. And I
- 1:20:52Speaker 1: know some things about Monique personally that I can't say
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: that would be up to her to tell y'all, but
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: she's gone through a lot, and I'm just don't I
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: don't want to no longer be a catalyst for not
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: helping this sister out, because everybody deserves a second chance,
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: and everybody deserves a chance to get it right, you know.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: So well, we'll check out the interview and maybe this
- 1:21:17Speaker 1: Las Vegas residency, you know, we'll start that road back
- 1:21:22Speaker 1: to the light. Yeah, I mean, you know that's a
- 1:21:24Speaker 1: good thing, man, because that's a big honor to get
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: a residency, a residency in Vagas. You know, they got
- 1:21:31Speaker 1: to think of you out there rather highly. And so
- 1:21:36Speaker 1: now she's she's claiming and which probably is right because
- 1:21:40Speaker 1: I don't know, but Moe is the first African American
- 1:21:44Speaker 1: woman comedian to get a residency in Vegas as a
- 1:21:48Speaker 1: stand up. Yeah. I mean, I don't know any others
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: that's done it, but that's what she said, you know. Okay, Well,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: we'll be watching the episode to air this week. Check
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: your local listings, and then we'll put the extended version
- 1:22:05Speaker 1: on the web site. You know. Now, let me ask
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: you someone, Let me ask all the guys something, especially Steve.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: Would you guys consider a residency uh in Vegas? Before
- 1:22:17Speaker 1: I could get the question out, hell yeah, yeah, but
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: I'm Marshall Waffa has one shoulders, George Wallace and Eddie
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: oh oh, Marshall warfare every week going out. Yeah in
- 1:22:36Speaker 1: a minute, But you would you would consider it? What about?
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: What about? You know something? Man, the way my life
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: is going right now, I might consider that. And and
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: and you want to know why why? Because NFL Honors
- 1:22:51Speaker 1: taught me something A lot of people did not know.
- 1:22:55Speaker 1: They see me as a talk show host and family feud.
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: I had to flip my rand. A lot of people
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: don't know me as a stand up. So NFL Honors
- 1:23:04Speaker 1: was the most highly trended thing on YouTube the next day.
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: Oh okay, so I made you know Steve Harvey, Martha
- 1:23:13Speaker 1: Steve coming up right after that. You're listening night. So Steve,
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: you were at the Super Bowl. We talked about it
- 1:23:23Speaker 1: earlier this morning. I just have a question for you.
- 1:23:27Speaker 1: How wrong did you eat? You know what I did? Alright?
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: But you know, I was in a sweet and they
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: had they had chicken, Wayne Pool, pork sandwiches, hot dogs,
- 1:23:45Speaker 1: mac and cheese, U salte, potatoes, a dessert buffet, hamburgers.
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: They had fresh pizza, dude, and that was making pizzas.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: They had ice cream. They they bought out in these boxes,
- 1:24:07Speaker 1: individual out. So I ate the ice cream, had the
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: mac and cheese. Oh oh. I stayed away from the meat.
- 1:24:19Speaker 1: I didn't need any red meat. Um. I bit into
- 1:24:25Speaker 1: what I thought was a piece of fish. It was
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: a piece of chicken because it was your head. It
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: was frieda Did you hear your nephew by any Champ?
- 1:24:35Speaker 1: What's that in a cavear in that all because he
- 1:24:40Speaker 1: was in a rich sweets. I know they you know
- 1:24:42Speaker 1: he can't see rich people think about rich people, timy
- 1:24:45Speaker 1: isn't they're not. They don't define their richness boot Caven.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: If you ain't defining it that way, what did you do?
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: You know it's not about chicken wings? Right? Well, see
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: that's what was in there. See when you got money timing,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: then people they don't. They ain't got the half caveat
- 1:25:12Speaker 1: for rich people is eating chicken. So he doesn't think
- 1:25:15Speaker 1: they're really rich if they're not the wings in Magic City.
- 1:25:18Speaker 1: If you win in all the field, you're gonna do
- 1:25:20Speaker 1: thats all right? Well, look, we pulled some facts about
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: eating habits from U for the Super Bowl. We told
- 1:25:30Speaker 1: you last week that Americans ate about one hundred one
- 1:25:33Speaker 1: point three billion chicken wings for the Super Bowl. Okay, now,
- 1:25:37Speaker 1: that's four wings for every man, woman, and child in
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: the US, or enough to encircle the Earth three times.
- 1:25:43Speaker 1: That's according to the National Chicken Council. Okay, you could
- 1:25:47Speaker 1: take that. You could take that up with the National
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: Chicken Council. See, man, they hyping their product too. All right. Now,
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: super Bowl Sunday, that was yesterday. That's one of the
- 1:25:58Speaker 1: biggest days for eating ever. It is the second biggest
- 1:26:01Speaker 1: day for eating in the US. It's right behind Thanksgiving
- 1:26:05Speaker 1: in terms of food consumption. One person could take in
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: as many as twenty four hundred calories and one hundred
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: and twenty one grams of fat aday nothing, And that's
- 1:26:18Speaker 1: just during the game. That's nothing. One hundred and twenty
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: one grams of fat, twenty four hundred calories. No, what
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: hey O? No, I think that's calories. Yeah, that's a lot,
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: isn't that? Like twice the Michael Phelps, the Olympic swimmer,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: and he when he was training, his calorie input was
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: twelve thousand calories a day. I sit next to a
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: dude in this sweet okay, easily eight Michael Phelps twelve
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: thousand calories and his ass looked like he eats twelve
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: thousand calories without training. Yeah, but Phelps burned it, you know,
- 1:26:57Speaker 1: with the swimming and everything. Yeah. Yeah, I don't believe
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: that number. About the chicken wings, where's all these chickens? Yeah?
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: People ate them? Come on, man, all right, we'll have
- 1:27:13Speaker 1: more of the Steve Harvey Morning Show while we figured
- 1:27:15Speaker 1: this whole chicken wing thing out right after this you're
- 1:27:19Speaker 1: listening show, all right, So, Steve, you were telling us
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: earlier that you wanted to talk about the number of scooters.
- 1:27:27Speaker 1: You were saying, Hey, I'm in Atlantic. I didn't know
- 1:27:29Speaker 1: about this. What and what. I'm driving down to rehearsal,
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: and I kept noticing all these like little razor looking
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: scooters just laying on the ground. Some of them was
- 1:27:41Speaker 1: on kickstand. They with lime green. Then I saw a
- 1:27:44Speaker 1: bunch of black and I just kept seeing them so
- 1:27:47Speaker 1: much that I asked the driver. I said, hey, man,
- 1:27:51Speaker 1: what the hell is going on with all these scooters
- 1:27:54Speaker 1: laying on the ground. Scooter takeover? Yeah, And then they
- 1:27:58Speaker 1: saw some live I'm bike lin lining bird. It's a
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: right so you can just got this app, hold it
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: up against that it cuts on. You can ride or
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: wherever you or wherever you want. You can just stop
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: and get off. They were all over at lant Yea,
- 1:28:23Speaker 1: just all on the ground and stuff. I said, man,
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: who And then I said, I said, who picks these up?
- 1:28:28Speaker 1: He said, anybody can pick them up? Wherever they are.
- 1:28:32Speaker 1: Your GPS, your app tells you where they're located. You
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: walk right there, the GPS tells you where it is.
- 1:28:38Speaker 1: You can just pick it up, put your app up
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: against and start ride. But see where they are you're saying,
- 1:28:43Speaker 1: like where they like in the way that was on
- 1:28:46Speaker 1: the ground, man, I mean they would like. Some of
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: them was on curbs, someonem was was halfway on the sidewalk,
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: halfway on the tree line. Someone was on the kickstand.
- 1:28:55Speaker 1: A lot of them were just laying down. So they
- 1:28:58Speaker 1: just get on them and just off and just leave
- 1:29:01Speaker 1: him and just go. I was watching the guy Ridingshi.
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: You know, I saw a guy riding next to my suv.
- 1:29:11Speaker 1: We were in traffic, so we're going kind of slow.
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: He pulls up, gets off, lays it in the grass
- 1:29:18Speaker 1: on the tree line, and then turns the corner and
- 1:29:22Speaker 1: go somewhere. Yeah, I said, what's going on? Man? Anybody
- 1:29:28Speaker 1: Well I was so confused. So then I found out
- 1:29:33Speaker 1: that this guy in Atlanta makes a living because if
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: anybody charge finds one and takes him home and charges
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: it up, you get fifteen dollars for charging it up. Yeah,
- 1:29:45Speaker 1: that was the figure they told me Atlanta. So this
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: brother who was out of work, he got hold to
- 1:29:50Speaker 1: a truck and started going around picking him up, taking
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: him to his house, charging him. Then he got smart,
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: he's are the traveling with these generators? Wow? That you know,
- 1:30:04Speaker 1: cranks up electricity, plugs them into that and while they plugging,
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: he ride around and get some molt and bring them back,
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: unplugged them, dropped them, and he just dude, he created
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: himself employment. He created an employment for himself. He said, Man,
- 1:30:22Speaker 1: if I charge hundred of these a date, uh huh
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: at fifteen dollars, that's one thousand, five hundred dollars. Wow,
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: hustle baby, Yeah, get you grind on. Yeah, I love that.
- 1:30:37Speaker 1: Did you start this? Did you think about getting out
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: and writing one just for the just for fun? He
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: would I do that? I'd like to get a picture.
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: So many, Yeah, there's so many. Got your gators on
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: you coming down the Yo, Louisvinton, Scar come on, man,
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: blow in the Yeah, Man, I see this clearly. Man,
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: you got the vision. Nephew got the part. All right,
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: we'll be back to close at the show and Steve's
- 1:31:17Speaker 1: closing remarks right after this. You're listening to Steven Show.
- 1:31:22Speaker 1: All right, Steve, here we are on this Monday, the
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: day after the super Bowl fifty three. Yeah, last break
- 1:31:29Speaker 1: of the day, Jake, what's saying that? Jay? That super
- 1:31:37Speaker 1: Bowl was probably one of the boringest. Yeah, where is
- 1:31:43Speaker 1: that it was cool. It was really and I went
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: and so it was just like, man, it's playing late.
- 1:31:53Speaker 1: They didn't want to it's your first time going. Yeah no, no,
- 1:31:56Speaker 1: I've been before, but it's been a long time since.
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: But this was the lowest scoring game in history, right ever. Yeah,
- 1:32:05Speaker 1: but I've seen all fifty three of them. Now I've seen.
- 1:32:11Speaker 1: That's amazing. What's your biggest memory? I have none. Browns
- 1:32:17Speaker 1: ain't been in there. I don't have any memories. Well,
- 1:32:21Speaker 1: was it good to see Jim Brown in the football
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: commercial celebrating a hundred years? Oh? Man, it was better
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: to see him at the NFL Honors. Man. The NFL
- 1:32:29Speaker 1: Honors was really really great for me, man, it was
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: it was like an honor for me because I'm I'm
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: a real football fan. I actually it's the greatest spectator
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: sport in the world. It's way better than watching basketball
- 1:32:44Speaker 1: on TV, or baseball or soccer or golf. It's just
- 1:32:50Speaker 1: all boxing even And why is that? Why do you
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: say that? Because something's happening every play? Okay, it's it's
- 1:32:59Speaker 1: something is happening every play. And you know, I was
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: having a discussion with somebody. They were talking about Steve
- 1:33:05Speaker 1: who do you think is the best athletes basketball players?
- 1:33:08Speaker 1: Because the bold thing is they think that basketball players
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: are the greatest athletes in the world. They're very athletic.
- 1:33:15Speaker 1: I mean, they could do some amazing stuff in the
- 1:33:18Speaker 1: air with that basketball I take no credit from. But
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: I think the best athletes in the world are football
- 1:33:24Speaker 1: players that play at wide receiver, that play at corner,
- 1:33:27Speaker 1: that play at running back. Because you know, basketball players
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: can dunk, and but a lot of football players can dunk,
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: now to me, especially in the skilled positions on defense
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: and offense. But these guys are special, man, because not
- 1:33:50Speaker 1: not all basketball players can catch your football over the middle.
- 1:33:56Speaker 1: They don't know, and you know, I'm saying round, so
- 1:34:01Speaker 1: you're gonna get cracked coming across the man. No, man,
- 1:34:03Speaker 1: I don't you know. I don't. Basketball players can't deal
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: with the contact after the catch or running the ball.
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: That's why I think that the football player is the
- 1:34:14Speaker 1: superior athlete overall. Okay, but the NBA has some spectacler moments,
- 1:34:21Speaker 1: you know, But but you have to be in some
- 1:34:23Speaker 1: sort of condition to take the kind of hits and
- 1:34:26Speaker 1: pounding that. Yeah, it's crueling them dudes. Man, At this
- 1:34:32Speaker 1: time of the year, everybody has an injury. It's just
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: a contact sport. Man. It's the greatest sports to watch,
- 1:34:39Speaker 1: and the super Bowl is to grow the greatest sporting events. Yeah,
- 1:34:45Speaker 1: of the year, bar none, It's just it's a great sport.
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: You know, I like baseball, but I can't. I don't
- 1:34:52Speaker 1: watch baseball to the playoffs get there. And basketball I follow,
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: but I don't really get serious watching basketball to the
- 1:35:01Speaker 1: playoffs get here. You know, I watched the All Star Game.
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: You know, it's just it's exciting to watch them boys
- 1:35:07Speaker 1: operating function. But it was, it was it was a
- 1:35:10Speaker 1: really really big three or for me to do the honors, man, Yeah,
- 1:35:13Speaker 1: you did a great job with Baker Mayfield and the
- 1:35:17Speaker 1: Browns that was over there. What was that like meeting him?
- 1:35:20Speaker 1: What was meeting Baker Mayfield the quarterback for the Browns?
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: No excuse me, Shelly, What was it like for him
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: meeting me? Well? I thought you did because he won
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: what seven eight games? Ain't no honor? I'm Steve rvit
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: pill how you feel meeting me? A little boy? But
- 1:35:47Speaker 1: you know it's only crazy, man, because I've had a career,
- 1:35:51Speaker 1: man that has as spanned over many of these guys
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: entire career, and prime Time pointed it out to me. Man, hey, man,
- 1:36:02Speaker 1: Primetime seeing me an amazing message this morning. I haven't
- 1:36:05Speaker 1: had a chance of text him back. But I gotta cut,
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: he said, brother, because I can read his text, because
- 1:36:11Speaker 1: because Primetime don't cuse okay, but we do talk a
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: little bit different, okay, Love, he looked great in that
- 1:36:20Speaker 1: commercial and the NFL Honors. Yeah, and that text was nice.
- 1:36:27Speaker 1: So are you gonna got it? Well? Love, I'll read
- 1:36:30Speaker 1: this part right here. Okay. My brother he sent me
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: this morning at seven fifty six, he said, my brother,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: And I hope he don't Miami reading this, but it
- 1:36:42Speaker 1: was really touched me. I haven't hand chance here, he said,
- 1:36:44Speaker 1: my brother, you never cease to amaze me with your
- 1:36:47Speaker 1: gifts from God. You kill the honors. All the players
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: are still talking about it, regurgitating every word from a joke.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: Proud of you, man, and much love, keep standing tall calls,
- 1:37:00Speaker 1: and then I had to stop. Well, that was nice.
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: That was really nice. That was very nice. That was good,
- 1:37:09Speaker 1: And because you know what made the moment special for me?
- 1:37:12Speaker 1: And they said, because man, they he connected with us.
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: He was talking to us, you know, he knew about us.
- 1:37:19Speaker 1: He knew, you know. And then on the commercial breaks,
- 1:37:24Speaker 1: I had them open my mic and I went out
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: there and talk to him for real and the real
- 1:37:30Speaker 1: funny stuff. Oh lord, I was. I was out there.
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: I let him have it. I said some real stuff
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: right here. Like on one of the commercial breaks of
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: Fan Up in the Stands Holliday Saint Francisco forty nine ers,
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: I said, y'all ain't gonna ever be blank until y'all
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: get Colin Kaepernick back a quarterback. But we all know
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: that ain't fitting that happen, and we gotta get out
- 1:37:58Speaker 1: of here. Y'all have y Weekend is Monday. For all
